"Sally called me last night," Jenny told Kathy and Brad when they climbed into the van to go to school. "They're going to move down here this summer. Sally said they're going to go to school with us next year."
"That's great!" Kathy said.
"No shit, we can fish on their boat next fall," Eddie said, "The new one. We have to make sure it's ready for them. If my dad hadn't let it slip, we wouldn't have known the new boat was for Jack, Tom, and their sisters. We have to be careful not to let on we know."
"I hope we can go to the Bahamas and go after big marlin, or maybe head up to the Carolinas for tuna," Brad said.
"I think we're ready to start the final design on the boat," Eddie said. "I also think we should go with the west coast layout. That will allow you to walk around the cabin, and fish from the bow."
"Dad said they can build the superstructure at the same time they work on the staterooms and other things below deck," Jenny said.
"Have we decided on how many staterooms we're going to have on the boat?" Kathy asked.
"I think we can have five staterooms and a crew's quarters if we don't make the staterooms too big," Jenny said. "We should try to figure that out today when we go to the boatyard after school."
After school, the four teens headed to the boatyard. They met with the engineer and architect to work out the final details of the design. The four of them gave Leanne and Cliff their ideas. Cliff sketched on a pad while Leanne used her computer to fill in the hull. By the end of the day, they had a good idea of what the boat was going look like when it was finished. Harry and Jack came in the room to see how things were going.
Leanne asked Eddie, Jenny, Kathy, and Brad to come back the next day to watch as she worked on the design. She said she would have questions about the helm layout and other things. Harry suggested they ask Jeri to offer her input too.
Over the next few days, the four teens went to the boatyard after school to work on the design. Jeri helped locate the electronics on the helm and the console on the tuna tower. She told Harry they could use the electronics they had replaced on Tomiko for the fishing boat, and add a fish finder.
By Friday evening, the design was complete. The entire group sat around the conference room talking about how the boat would look when finished.
The seventy-five foot custom sport fisherman would have five staterooms below and forward. Two of the staterooms, the master and the VIP, would be equipped with queen size berths and ensuite heads. The three guest staterooms would share two full heads. In the guest staterooms, there would be full size berths with single fold-down berths so each room could sleep three people.
The crew's quarters were to be located aft of the engine room with berths for three, and a head with a shower stall. The crew's quarters contained access to the engine room, and the washer and dryer.
All the staterooms would be equipped with flat panel televisions and stereo systems. The design called for ample storage in cabinets, drawers, and hanging lockers. All storage was cedar lined.
The salon rose three feet above the cockpit deck. There would be bench seating on a mezzanine between the cockpit and the bulkhead of the salon and storage under the cushions. In the salon, settees and chairs would provide seating. Forward of the salon the dinette separated the galley from the main area.
There was a spiral stairway from the salon to the enclosed flying bridge. The bridge would have large a sitting area. There were plans for a chart table and computer station on the portside of the room. Aft of the flying bridge there would be a deck for sunning and looking down at the cockpit. A ladder would lead up to the tuna tower where the captain could operate the boat while fishing. A set of steps would lead down to the cockpit.
The cockpit design was for big game fishing. There would be two fish boxes in the sole with circulating water. The tackle station and bait prep area were built into the bottom of the mezzanine. There was a hatch leading to the crew's quarters. The boat would have ample storage space for rods, reels, and tackle.
Also in the cockpit, there were live bait wells and tuna tubes. The outriggers were to be hydraulic with controls at the cockpit helm position. The captain would be able to operate the boat from the cockpit with the aid of a camera system.
"Should we come in tomorrow?" Jenny asked.
"That won't be necessary. I have to work out the cable and plumbing routing tomorrow and there really isn't anything you kids can do to help," Leanne said. "By Monday, I'll have the blueprints ready."
"I'm going to add a second shift so we can get this project finished faster," Harry said. "I'll call Joanne and ask her to come down to do the interior design in a couple weeks. If all goes well, we should be able to deliver the boat in eight or ten weeks."
Everyone knew that completing the boat is such a short time would be difficult, but they all agreed to do the best they could. While Leanne, Cliff, Jeri, and the teens worked on the design, the hull was painted. The hull was ready for the next step.
Eddie, Jenny, Kathy, and Brad left the yard. On the way to drop Kathy and Brad off, Jenny suggested they go fishing the next day. They all agreed to check with their parents to see if it would be okay.
Like the rest of the days that week, dinner was later than normal. Jenny and Eddie would get home at about seven o'clock after spending several hours at their father's boatyard. Ellen had dinner ready each night, offering to do the dishes so her children could do their homework.

"No, Leanne said she has some work to do before we are needed again," Eddie said. "We don't have much homework for Monday and we can do it on Sunday."
"Are you kids planning on fishing Saturday and Sunday?" Harry asked.
"If you don't mind we'd like to, Dad," Jenny said.
"Are you going to stay on the boat tonight?" Ellen asked.
"We haven't talked about it, Mom. Eddie and I didn't know if we'd be able to go."
"Well, it's alright with us if you kids want to spend the weekend on the boat. Why don't you call Kathy and see if she and Brad want to stay on the boat too?" Ellen said.

Jenny called Kathy. They talked about staying on the boat for the weekend, agreeing they wanted to. Jenny told Kathy to get packed and that she and Eddie would pick her and Brad up in a half hour.
"They want to spend the weekend on the boat," Jenny told her brother. "Let's get a few things together. We have to pick them up in a half hour."

Kathy and Brad came out of their house when Eddie beeped the horn. Brad climbed into the back while Jenny moved from the front seat so she could sit with him. Kathy tossed the duffle bag she was carrying into the van and got in front.
"Listen, I heard there's a party at Molly Durham's house. Want to stop for a little while?" Kathy said.
"I don't care. How about you?" Eddie said, looking at Jenny and Brad in the rearview mirror.
"That's fine as long as we don't stay too late. I'd like to get out early tomorrow morning," Brad said.
Eddie drove to Molly's house, parking in the road as close as he could. The four teens walked into the backyard and looked for the hostess. When Kathy saw Molly, she led the group over to where the girl was sitting.
"Hi, Molly, how are you doing tonight?" Kathy asked.
"Great, Kathy. I'm glad you guys came. There are sodas in the cooler and munchies on the table. Help yourselves and have a good time," Molly told the teens.
After chatting for a moment, Brad and Jenny went to the cooler to get sodas. Brad spotted one of his friends, took Jenny's hand, and went over to talk to him.
"Lenny, do you know my girlfriend, Jenny?" Brad said while shaking his friend's hand.
"I know about her from the papers, but I've never met her. Hi, Jenny, I'm Lenny Oakfield. Brad and I have known each other since grade school," Lenny said as he took Jenny's hand and kissed the back of it.
"Is your sister here, Brad?" Lenny asked.
"Yeah, she's over there with Eddie, her boyfriend." Brad pointed to where Jenny and Eddie were standing with a few other kids from school. "What have you been up to lately?"
"Not too much, just school and hanging around. How about you?"
"Jenny, Kathy, Eddie, and I have been working. We're helping design a fishing boat at Jenny's dad's boatyard," Brad said proudly.
"That's cool! Have you been fishing lately?" Lenny said.
"Yeah, in fact, we're going tomorrow."
"One of these days you're going to have to take me with you. I love to fish, but I don't get to go very often," Lenny said.
"Okay, one of these days," Brad said. "Are you and Molly still going out?"
"Yes, it'll be six months next week."
"Honey, I'm going to go talk to Cindy and Kevin. I'll see you in a few," Jenny said.

"When is their next tournament?" Sarah asked.
"I'm not sure. I'll have to check with Eddie. Maybe we can work it out so we can go with them if they're fishing in the Bahamas," Ellen said. "We have fun when we go."

The four parents stayed out on the patio for another hour. Harry suggested they go inside and take care of his wife. Laughing, they went into the living room. Eddie went down to take care of the fueling. With the boat's tanks topped off, they left the gas dock. Eddie told his guests they needed to stop for bait and then they could go fishing. "I've never been fishing on the ocean. My dad used to take my brother and me, but it was on small lakes," Molly said.
"I've been fishing on the ocean before. My parents took my sister and me on a charter once. We didn't catch anything though," Penny said.
"How long have you and Brad been together, Jenny?" Molly asked.
"Brad and I have been dating since last Thanksgiving, the same amount of time Kathy and Eddie have been together," I said.
"That's cool. Lenny and I have been dating about as long as you guys," Molly replied.
"What time did you get here this morning?" Penny asked.
"We stayed on the boat last night," Kathy said.
"Really? With your boyfriends?" Penny said.
"Yeah, we stay on the boat whenever we can," Jenny replied. "Our parents know and they're cool about it."
"Shit, If my mom knew I spent the night with Walt she'd ground me forever," Penny said.
"My mom caught Lenny and me in bed about a month ago," Molly said.
"What did she do?" Kathy asked.
Molly giggled and said, "She took me to the clinic and put me on the pill. Mom said she knew she couldn't stop me if I wanted to screw, but she could try to keep me from getting knocked up."
"You mom sounds like ours," Kathy said. "They don't tell us we can't have sex and stuff like that."
"I think we're getting close to where we're going to fish," Jenny said when she felt the boat slow. "We should get outside and see if the guys need any help."

Brad and Eddie took six rods out of the locker. They opened the hatch on the bait prep station and went to work. While rigging the live baits, Eddie explained what he and Brad were doing. Once there were a dozen of each of the baitfish rigged, Eddie said it was time to fish.
"Slow us down, Jenny," Eddie yelled up to the flying bridge. "We're ready to go."
Jenny slowed the boat to trolling speed. Brad and Eddie showed Walt and Lenny how to set the lines and then place the rods in the holders. Once the lines were out and the reels adjusted, the four boys stood back to watch.
"We're going to have to add an intercom system to the cockpit, helm, and the tower," Eddie said to Brad. "It would be hard to yell from the cockpit."
"That's a good idea. I hadn't thought about that," Brad replied.
"What are you guys talking about?" Lenny asked.
"Brad, Jenny, Kathy, and I are helping to design a long range fishing boat for one of my dad's customers," Eddie said.
"No shit, that must be cool," Walt said.
"It has been so far. The boat is seventy-five feet long. When she's finished, she's going to be beautiful and functional," Eddie said proudly.
"What does something like that cost?" Lenny asked.
Brad and Eddie chuckled. "A couple million by the time it's finished and rigged. Maybe more," Eddie said.
"How can anyone afford that much for a fishing boat?" Walt said.
"That's nothing; Eddie's dad is finishing a yacht that is one hundred forty feet long. That yacht will cost three or four times more than fishing boat will. The strange part is the owners are our age," Brad said.
"No way! How could they afford it?" Lenny asked.
Laughing, Brad said, "Their parents are rich. The yacht is for chartering and the kids own the business. They're going to dock it down here. Their parents bought the Dragon Fire mansion too."
"Shit, they must be spoiled brats," Lenny said.
"That's the funny part. They're really cool. We met them, Jack, Tom, Kim, and Sally, when they were down here a few weeks ago. They went fishing with us and we had a blast," Eddie said. "You would never know they had money just by hanging with them."
"Yeah, and to top it off, the girls are really hot!" Brad said.
"So are your girlfriends," Walt said.
"Kathy and Jenny, yeah, they're hot too," Brad said.
"You think your sister's hot?" Lenny said. "I didn't know Jenny was your sister, Eddie."
"Hell yes. Just because she's my sister doesn't mean I can't think she's cute," Eddie said.
"You two don't get all geeked because you're dating each other's sisters? I don't like any of the guys my sister dates," Walt said.
"We all get along great. I don't think any of us ever had an argument. Not a serious one anyway," Brad said.
"That's cool. I wish my sister and I got along better. She can be such a little bitch sometimes," Walt said.
"How old is she?" Brad asked.
"Fourteen, April will be fifteen this summer," Walt said.
"How do you treat her?" Brad asked.
"I give her shit. That's my job. I'm her older brother," Walt replied with a chuckle.
"Maybe that's why she's a bitch to you," Eddie said.
"Yeah, maybe it is. I don't really care," Walt said.
One of the rods began flexing. Eddie grabbed it, pulled back and began reeling. Once he knew there was a fish on, he handed the rod to Lenny. Walt asked why Lenny was catching the first fish. Brad told him that he and Eddie divided the boat for the first fish. Lenny got the port side and Walt the starboard side. After that, they would take turns.
"The next fish is one of the girls. When we fish, we all take turns, Brad said.
Eddie coached Lenny, telling him when to wind down on the fish and when to pull back on the rod. When the wahoo was at the stern, Eddie gaffed it.
"Damn, that's the biggest fish I've ever caught," Lenny said as he gazed at the wahoo flopping on the deck. "Let me get my camera so I can get a few pictures."
Eddie took the rod from Lenny so he could go into the cabin to get his camera. When he returned, he asked Walt to take the pictures while he held the fish. Eddie removed the hook and cautioned Lenny about the rows of sharp teeth in the fish's mouth. Lenny lifted the wahoo by the gills, holding it up so Walt could take a few shots.
Another rod took off. Brad grabbed it while Eddie put the one they had caught in the fish hold. Eddie yelled up to the girls, telling Molly to come down.
"Here you go, Molly," Brad said as he handed her the rod. "Just keep pressure on the fish for a minute. When I tell you to, crank the reel while you lower the rod tip. Then you pull back and do it again."
Eddie pulled a harness out of a locker. Standing behind Molly, he helped her get into it. Molly thanked Eddie and began fighting the fish. When Brad gaffed the fish and pulled it onboard, Molly squealed.
"That was so cool! That fish fought so hard!" Molly said as she stood above the fish.
"Pick it up so I can take your picture," Lenny said.
"Yuck, I'm not going to hold it!" Molly said.
"Come on, it's not that bad," Lenny said. "I'll tell you what. We'll both hold it and Walt can take the pictures."
Molly wasn't happy at first, but when she and Lenny stood holding the fish horizontally, she became excited again. Walt snapped a few pictures before Brad helped Lenny put the fish in the hold.
"Walt, it's your turn next no matter which side the fish hits on," Brad said.
The next fish came a few minutes later. Walt fought a nice dolphin to the boat and Eddie gaffed it. After taking pictures, Brad added the fish to the two wahoo in the hold.
It was twenty minutes before another fish hit one of the rods. Penny fought hard and managed to get the fish into the range of the gaff. Brad pulled the fish aboard and added another wahoo to the day's catch.
Jenny came down to the cockpit. She put her arm around Brad and said, "I'm hungry. Let's have lunch."
"Do you want to eat out here or go in and anchor, Little-bit," Brad said.
"Let's go in. Kathy and I have been talking to Penny and Molly. I think they want to go for a swim," Jenny said.
Eddie and Brad asked Lenny and Walt to help pull the lines. They removed the baits and placed the rods in the rocket launchers. Jenny headed for shallow water, stopping the boat in one of the areas they had been to before.
Jenny dropped the anchor while Brad washed down the cockpit. The girls came down from the flying bridge, stopped to chat for a moment, and then went in to make lunch. Eddie pulled the deckchairs out and Brad helped him set them up.
Kathy came out to tell the guys lunch was ready. When they went into the cabin, the boys immediately noticed the girls changed into shorts and bikini tops.
"Okay, we put the lunchmeat and stuff on the counter. You guys can make your own sandwiches," Jenny said. "We have ham, roast beef, salami and turkey."
Eddie and Brad let Lenny and Walt make their sandwiches first. After the guys had their plates filled, the girls made their lunch. The group went outside to sit in the sun and eat.
"This is fun," Penny said. "Thanks for inviting us."
"No problem, Penny. We enjoy having our friends on the boat. After lunch we can get some sun and then go swimming," Jenny said. "That's what we usually do."
"What are you guys doing for spring break?" Lenny asked.
"We're planning to fish in a tournament. There is one down in the Bahamas we want to enter," Eddie said. "It's a money tournament and the first prize is thirty thousand dollars. We use the money we win to fund our boat."
"Thirty thousand, that's a lot of money," Penny said. "Have you ever won something like that?"
"Not that much, but we have won money before," Jenny said. "Tournament fishing is intense, but it's fun too."
"Do you stay on the boat?" Molly asked.
"Yes, we usually do. Our parents stay in a hotel if they go with us," Kathy said.
"I can't believe how cool your parents are about letting you guys stay on the boat," Lenny said.
"Our parents trust us because we don't give then any reason not to. We don't drink or do drugs and we don't get into trouble. As long as we don't give them a reason not to trust us, they will," Eddie said.
Eddie and Brad picked up the plates and took them into the galley. Lenny and Walt helped them. When Brad began washing dishes, Lenny picked up a towel to dry.
"Have you guys ever gone skinny dipping out here?" Walt asked while helping Eddie put away the lunchmeat.
"Sure, we do that all the time," Brad said.
"In front of your sisters?" Lenny asked.
Laughing, Brad said, "Yes, in front of our sisters. Jenny and Kathy are down with it too."
"I'm not sure I'd want to see my sister naked-I know I wouldn't want her to see me like that," Walt said.
"To each their own I guess. It doesn't bother any of us," Eddie said.
"Are you guys going to go skinny dipping today?" Walt asked.
Brad and Eddie laughed. "I doubt it. We don't do it to show off," Brad said.
"Too bad, I'd love to get Penny to go," Walt said.
"Tell her, Walt. Who knows, she may want to go just as much as you want her to," Brad said.
After finishing in the galley, the guys went outside. The cockpit was empty and the girls' shorts were in one of the chairs. When Walt asked where they were, Brad said, "Either on the flying bridge or the foredeck getting some sun."
"Would you mind if I had a smoke?" Lenny asked. "I've been dying for one."
"I didn't know you smoke. When did you take up that nasty habit?" Brad said.
"A few months ago, Brad. Molly smokes and she got me started."
"I don't care if you smoke as long as you do it out here," Eddie said.
Lenny pulled out his cigarettes, put one in his mouth and lit it. Brad, Eddie, and Walt told Lenny they would be on the flying bridge when he finished.
When they got up on the flying bridge, the three guys looked out at the foredeck. The girls were sitting in the sun taking. It took a moment for Walt to realize the four girls were topless.

"No, why would I care?"
"I don't know, sometimes you get so jealous when guys look at me. I just don't want you getting nuts, that's all." Molly stood up, placed the sodas on the counter and put her arms around Lenny's waist. "You won't, will you?"
"No, I promise to hold my temper, Molly. Um, is that why you put your top back on?"
"Yes it is. Kathy and Jenny said Brad and Eddie wouldn't say anything. I don't think Walt would either, but I was worried that you would."
Lenny moved his hands to the back of Molly's neck. He tugged at the tie holding her top, waiting for her to say something. Molly kissed Lenny as he untied her top. Pulling back, Lenny pealed the cups away from Molly's breasts. He leaned down, kissing the tops of her breasts.
