Arthur Saxon's Movie Recommendations


This is a list of all of the films that I can think of that have a) contained good Arthur Saxon moments, or b) just been generally very sexy. Some have inspired me; others just appealed to me. Hopefully some of you will check out one or more of these films and be delighted by them, as I have been.

Amityville 2
This film inspired the seduction of Laura by Danny in Gateway to Hell. For the GTH-uninitiated, Danny is Laura�s brother. It�s a clumsily acted but very sexy scene � and the girl is just BEAUTIFUL (in my opinion). She was also in the John Cusack movie Better Off Dead as the French exchange student. There�s nipplage so if it�s on American network television, the best bit will be cut so don�t bother. Erotica Rating ***

Annie
�Annie???� I hear you ask. Well yes, but don�t worry, the eponymous little orphan was NOT the object of my desire in this movie. What got my attention were the song-and-dance numbers, in which the long skirts of grown women (mostly Ann Reinking) are hauled up for NO apparent reason to reveal their panties beneath. And these are not great big bloomers such as you would find in period musicals like �Oliver!� � these are modern-style panties and their revelation was a delightful surprise. But the best part is an entirely inappropriate and gratuitous spreading of the legs by Ann Reinking while rolling over a bed on her back. She�s followed immediately afterward by Annie in the same pose, which made for rather more uncomfortable viewing, but I have to wonder how the hell they got away with this?? With a PG rating (U in Britain)! Erotica Rating ***

Belles of St Trinians, The
This is a classic British comedy from the 1950s, which was in my opinion the least sexy movie decade after the 1940s. There were, however, a couple of gems � and this was one of them. Schoolgirls in skirts so short as to reveal their stocking tops? Count me in! There�s also a lovely upskirt/panty shot near the end. Erotica Rating **

Big Bet, The
Okay, maybe nostalgia is playing a part with this one, since it was an early teensploitation discovery for me. But they really knew how to make sexy high school comedies in the 80s, and this was one of the sexiest (though otherwise not particularly good). Erotica Rating **

Bird on a Wire
Goldie Hawn comedies from the 70s and 80s are always worth a look, since you get to see her panties in most of them. This was the last of that sort, but she was still looking good, and as I recall there were a few nice scenes (one involving her climbing a ladder ahead of Mel Gibson � good thinking Mel). Bite, The (aka Curse II: The Bite)
I love to flick through bad horror movies in the hope of finding a nugget of erotic gold, and with this one I scored big time. It�s rather dull until the climax of the movie, when the girlfriend of the guy-with-a-snake-for-an-arm wakes up to find that, well, he has a snake for an arm. She then leaves the house, IN A T-SHIRT AND PANTIES, and it just gets better from there. Panties, mud, snakes � just brilliant. Available on DVD as a 2-pack with The Curse (which I have not seen). Blob, The
Awesome film, but that�s not why you�re here. Shawnee Smith high-kicks while cheerleading � great panty shot. She also does a lot of swimming around in a sewer towards the end of the film, but the wet-sweater shots were just okay. There�s also a scene in which a jerk molests his sleeping girlfriend � but it turns nasty really quickly. Erotica Rating **

Breakfast Club, The
Brilliant upskirt shot, ostensibly of Molly Ringwald but unfortunately I believe it was a panty-double. Erotica Rating **

Bubba Ho-Tep

Bug Buster
Wow. Katherine Heigl, asleep, in a nightdress, with cockroaches crawling all over her. Shame that they�re Madagascar hissing roaches, which are pretty much the slowest and most placid roach species, but still! Erotica Rating ***

Bugs (aka Initiation: Silent Night, Deadly Night 4)
Maud Adams finds a hapless young woman to impregnate with a giant bug. Lots of good stuff here � but lots of missed opportunities too! Erotica Rating ****

Cheerleaders, The
They don�t make soft porn like they used to. I can�t watch the crap they put out nowadays. But oh man � this is awesome stuff. The cheerleaders in this film (which plays like a high school sex comedy) wear the TINIEST skirts ever seen on movie cheerleaders. Seriously � the skirts stop halfway down the buttocks. I was in heaven! Erotica Rating *****

Cool Hand Luke
Best car-washing scene EVER. Holy shit. Erotica Rating ****

Cruel Passion
Koo Stark (ex-girlfriend of Britain�s Prince Andrew) in an unbelievably exploitative movie version of the Marquis de Sade�s tale �Justine�. Lots of nudity and rape. Nasty stuff, but erotic as hell. Erotica Rating ****

D.E.B.S.
I just had the biggest blast watching this. It�s a totally sweet and subversive romantic comedy masquerading as an ass-kicking chicks movie. Best part: the girls� uniforms � very short school skirts � yummy! Couple of minor panty-shots but it�s just overall very sexy. Erotica Rating ***

Dario Argento's Inferno
I love Dario Argento. He�s a pervert after my own heart. The things he puts his actresses through� In most of his films, it seems, a young woman wearing a skirt (always a skirt) will be exploring, on her own, a mysterious creepy place, and she�ll either get wet, or dirty, or attacked, or find bugs, or a combination of those. In this gem, the woman is exploring a creepy basement, and finds, inexplicably, a hole in the floor leading to a flooded room beneath. So she�s peering into the hole, and oops! she drops her keys (or something) into the water. Naturally, since this is an Argento movie, she then lowers herself into the water, fully clothed, and swims around in search of the lost item, her skirt billowing up around her to reveal her panties. And then she sees all the rotting corpses� Awesome stuff! Erotica Rating ****

Demons 2
In this one, Lamberto Bava pretty much clones Dario Argento�s swimming scene from Inferno. But it�s also great. I should mention, though, that there�s a TINY chance that this scene was in Demons rather than Demons 2. But I�m pretty sure it was in Demons 2. Erotica Rating ****

Doppelganger
My absolute favourite Drew Barrymore movie. Before she fought her way back to blockbuster respectability, she was reduced to doing erotic thrillers like Poison Ivy, and erotic horror movies like this one. And oh � my � God � she is amazingly sexy in this. Miniskirts and minidresses, a shower scene in which she doesn�t notice the water has turned to blood (which, by the way, inspired the first scene in Gateway to Hell), and some gratuitous toplessness thrown in � what�s not to like? Down Periscope
Charming little PG submarine comedy with Kelsey Grammer and Lauren Holly, who plays the submarine�s only female crewmember. The other crewmembers play a trick on Ms Holly by shrinking her uniform in the wash, so that the next day on parade, she�s practically bursting out of it. Very sexy. Erotica Rating **

Dream Demon, The
Okay it�s been a LONG time since I saw this, so forgive me if it�s better in my memory than it actually was in reality. That said, I seem to recall a scene in which the lovely young Jemma Redgrave dreams she is at her own wedding, then realises to her horror that her wedding dress is extremely short. I need to see it again, but it�s pretty good in my memory. Erotica Rating ** (I think)

Embrace of the Vampire
Alyssa Milano is incredibly hot in this � and incredibly naked, a lot. The scene in which she is undressed and seduced by photographer Charlotte Lewis (see The Golden Child) is just brilliant. Erotica Rating *****

Evil Dead, The
A girl wanders out into the forest, and gets near-stripped and raped by a tree. Well okay then! Erotica Rating ****

Feardotcom
Cockroaches! Madagascar hissing ones, again, but oh well. The scene doesn�t end well for the woman, unfortunately. Erotica Rating **

Fifth Musketeer, The
Basically a retelling of The Man with the Iron Mask, with an all-star cast, much swashbuckling and intrigue � and lashings of nudity? All right! Sylvia Kristel and Ursula Andress both look great without clothes, but watch out � I believe the American version of the film had all the good stuff taken out, and the UK version, which is 11 minutes longer with the added nudity, is not yet available on DVD. For some reason, gratuitous nudity in a film like this is much sexier than in a more obviously adult film. Erotica Rating ***

Foul Play
Goldie Hawn gets stuck outside in the pouring rain. It�s been a long time since I saw this, and maybe the wet clothing wasn�t quite as clingy and see-through as I remember it. Erotica Rating *

4th Floor, The
Juliette Lewis moves into an apartment building and is terrorized by a neighbour who employs, amongst other stratagems, mice and maggots (though unfortunately they do not run up her legs or anything. However, I recall that she spends some time in a t-shirt and panties, which is always good. Erotica Rating **

Frivolous Lola
Just do an image search on this title. Awesome stuff � Tinto Brass is my kind of guy. Erotica Rating ****

Further Adventures of Tennessee Buck, The
A girl gets captured � next thing you know, she�s being held down naked on a table and covered from neck to toe in vegetable oil (or something that looks like it). Very nice! Erotica Rating **

Getting Lucky
My favourite 80s teensploitation comedy ever. A guy loves a cheerleader, but she loves a big dumb jock. So the guy finds a leprechaun, who shrinks him so small that he gets lost inside her panties and, in trying to get out, gives her an orgasm in the classroom. And that�s just one of several awesome scenes. Lots of upskirt action, including a protracted bicycle-riding scene. Just brilliant! Erotica Rating *****

Golden Child, The

Goonies, The
Directors wouldn�t get away with this these days in a kids� movie. Hot teenage girl (Kerri Green) in a little white skirt is frequently crouching or otherwise positioned so that her panties are showing. Nice work, Richard Donner! Erotica Rating ***

Heartbreakers
You�ve probably all seen the screenshots and clips, but what the hell. Jennifer Love Hewitt in a tiny grey dress that can�t cover her black panties when she�s bending over. Erotica Rating ***

Hearts and Armour
Tanya Roberts, one of my favourite 80s hotties, in a sword-and-sorcery film made in Italy � which I guess explains the nudity in what I think was originally a TV miniseries. It�s been a while, and I can only remember a few hot scenes: Tanya washing her cleavage, Tanya getting felt up in her sleep (though not enough!), and Tanya being attacked while on horseback, and inadvertently briefly revealing her pussy. Hell Mountain (aka Chained Heat 3: The Horror of Hell Mountain)
A classic of the women-in-prison genre. This one is in a futuristic setting, in which captured women are forced to slave away in the mines while wearing ridiculously short and low-cut rag-dresses. I can�t think of any movie with a higher panty-shot count than this one. This could well be the most erotic film I�ve ever seen. Erotica Rating *****

Hollow Man
Kevin Bacon, while invisible, unbuttons a sleeping girl�s blouse and plays with her nipple. Now one might wonder why he needed to be invisible for this, since she was asleep anyway, but what the heck � Verhoeven�s the man! Erotica Rating **

House 4
Notable for a shower scene, in which the water turns to blood while the woman has her eyes closed. Doppelganger (see above) totally ripped off this scene a year later, but did it far better (and with a hotter actress and NO body double). Erotica Rating **

Howard the Duck
Lea Thompson (Marty McFly�s mother in Back to the Future) was never hotter than in this movie. VERY nice t-shirt-and-panties scene. Erotica Rating ***

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
If Kate Capshaw hadn�t been so whiny and annoying, the scene in which various bugs crawl over her would have been sexier. Also, if we�d seen the bugs go inside her clothing instead of just underneath her hair. But hey, I�m not going to complain about a Spielberg movie in which he covers his leading lady with huge centipedes and other assorted bugs. I reserve the right to complain about it because it was crap, though. Erotica Rating *

Inventing the Abbotts
Joaquin Phoenix peeks under the desk to see up Jennifer Connelly�s skirt. And she helps! I don�t know if it was really Ms Connelly, but the scene was definitely very sexy. Erotica Rating **

Invisible Maniac, The
Awesomely sexy invisible slasher movie featuring a bevy of gorgeous and oft-naked women. Lashings of nudity, several upskirt shots, and one sleep-molestation scene. Just fantastic. I have a major soft spot for one of the actresses � the lovely Melissa Moore. Erotica Rating *****

Jane and the Lost City
Campy and fun movie version of the old comic strips about �Jane�, the plucky heroine who had a hard time hanging on to her clothes. Lots of upskirt shots and accidental stripping scenes � no nudity, but very sexy nonetheless. Erotica Rating ****

Jewel of the Nile, The
I love the fact that in both this film and its predecessor, Romancing the Stone, for all of the action scenes Kathleen Turner is wearing a skirt (and frequently a ripped one). While in RTS this did not unfortunately result in any panty action, there is a good upskirt shot in this sequel. Erotica Rating *

Joe's Apartment
Okay, the cockroaches may be CGI, but the sight of them spilling out of Megan Ward�s cleavage was one of the most fantastic things I�ve ever seen. Erotica Rating ****

King Kong
Which one? you ask. All of them! I reply. In the original, Kong strips Fay Wray for some nice leg action, and later there�s a bit of wetlook. In the �76 version, Kong exposes Jessica Lange�s breasts � go Kong! In Peter Jackson�s version, Naomi Watts does a lot of running, crawling and sliding around in her skimpy nightwear. It�s all good. Lady in Blue, The (aka Hard Evidence)
The lovely Kira Reed here plays a police captain who, in my favourite scene, has to go undercover as a hooker when an underling goes off sick. The underling apparently is very petite, and her skirt is WAY too short for Kira. Cue awesome microskirt and upskirt action! Erotica Rating ***

Leprechaun in Space
This movie would be fairly worthless if it were not for a truly inspired scene near the end. One minute, the very beautiful Jessica Collins is wearing trousers. The next, the trousers are gone, and she�s in a tank top and panties! I was fast-forwarding, so I missed it the first time and had to go back and watch carefully. Blink, and you�ll miss it. Logan's Run
Jenny Agutter, the hot naked schoolgirl from Walkabout, wears a wonderfully short dress in this classic sci-fi yarn. And she�s frequently wet. And on one occasion naked. In a PG! Again, you couldn�t get away with it these days. Erotica Rating ***

Mudhoney
Great outfits and great nudity in this early Russ Meyer exploitation flick. One girl�s dress gapes so much at the front that she can barely move without revealing a nipple. Erotica Rating ***

Mute Witness
The first half of this movie is a great, gritty thriller; the second half is a mediocre, campy caper. Somewhere in the middle is some fantastic and totally gratuitous nudity. Erotica Rating ***

National Lampoon's Animal House
Some great gratuitous nudity here, which I�m sure you�ve probably all seen. If not, rent this immediately! One of the funniest films ever. Erotica Rating ***

Night of the Demons
80s scream queen Linnea Quigley bends over in a short skirt, giving us a long and delicious look at her white panties. In close-up! Excellent. Erotica Rating ***

Octopus
Skirt too tight to climb into a tunnel? Get rid of it! They could have made more of this scene, but it was still pretty sexy. Erotica Rating **

Octopussy
Bond movies were always full of sex, but this is the only one, that I can think of, to feature a bona fide upskirt shot. And it�s a beauty � a woman in a car pulls her skirt up her thighs to distract the bad guys in their jeep � and she keeps pulling it, all the way up to her panties. Erotica Rating *

Pan's Labyrinth
If only the girl were older! But the scene in which she crawls through a muddy tunnel, with cockroaches crawling over her, is too good to omit from this list. This was the inspiration for a similar scene in Sophie�s Choices. Erotica Rating ** (would be four stars if the actress had been a few years older)

Phenomena
Jennifer Connelly in a Dario Argento movie! Yay! She�s in skimpy nightwear a lot, even while wandering outside (though she gets home just before it starts pouring with rain � what the hell?). There�s also a nice upskirt shot and a great scene in which she falls into a disgusting pit. Erotica Rating ***

Poltergeist
Ah, Poltergeist. One of my formative experiences, I think, seeing this at age 12 or 13. Well, I didn�t see the whole thing � just the scene that starts when JoBeth Williams takes a bath. As she lay down on her bed, with her t-shirt only just covering her panties, I fervently wished for some miracle that would cause her t-shirt to flip up, revealing her panties. And then � her t-shirt magically flipped up, revealing her panties! AWESOME! And that�s not all. After some wild flailing around, during which the camera gets itself a nice view between her legs, she runs outside, only to fall into a muddy pit� Well, it�s all just genius. The outside stuff was a little dark and unclear, sadly, but even so � this is an erotic classic. Erotica Rating *****

Re-animator
Be sure to get the unrated version! Barbara Crampton wakes up to find herself naked, strapped to a table, and about to be abused by her zombie dad and the head of an old pervert of their acquaintance. Very sexy scene! Erotica Rating ****

Red Heat
No, not the Arnold Schwarzenegger one. This is a women-in-prison movie starring the indescribably sexy Linda Blair. At her peak, Linda was just about the hottest woman on the planet, with her cute, innocent-looking face and lovely big breasts � which were seen a-plenty in this film. This is sleazy, exploitative trash of the highest order. Erotica Rating ***

Redline (aka Deathline)
Sex and nudity abound in this B-grade thriller starring Rutger Hauer. More importantly, skimpy outfits and upskirt shots abound. And the girl�s gorgeous. Erotica Rating ****

Replacement Killers, The
Ah, Mira Sorvino � my favourite brainy hottie. In this fair-to-middling action thriller, she wears a couple of nice outfits, my favourite being a shirt that apparently she can�t be bothered to button up. Initially it�s held together with a single safety pin (or something like it), but by the end that has been lost and she�s just running around with her black bra completely out in the open. Awesome! Resident Evil
The promo shot for this movie, showing Milla Jovovich in an ultra-short microdress, totally sold me on this film from the start. And the director does make fairly decent use of it � there are a couple of upskirt shots, though I wish these guys would learn to put their actresses in white or at least pale panties. These are black, or possibly dark red, so it�s hard to see any detail. But, there�s also some nudity, and the outfit she�s wearing at the end of the film is just priceless. Erotica Rating ***

Romancing the Stone
Some skirt/leg action from Kathleen Turner, and also a damp/see-through blouse (not Ms Turner�s though). Oh, and a wet/muddy scene that�s pretty nice. Erotica Rating *

Runaway
A metal detector finds a bugging device on Kirstie Alley, and she has to take off more and more clothes in order to find it. I can�t remember how far she gets � maybe underwear. Erotica Rating *

Savage Beach
I can�t remember if there�s actual nudity in this, but there�s certainly a lot of cleavage and leg action going on. I think there�s some nipplage, but I can�t be certain. Very sexy movie, anyway. Erotica Rating **

Screwballs
Oh man, I want to see this again. It�s a low-rent high school sex comedy in which a bunch of boys devise various stunts in order to get the school virgin naked. Best part: they set up a camera under the stairs in order to look up the skirts of the girls passing overhead. Some very nice upskirt shots! Lots of nudity too. Erotica Rating ****

Seven Days to Live
One very nice scene in this one. A woman (not the hottest, but never mind) who is grieving for her dead son, sees him outside one night and runs off into the woods in pursuit � wearing (apparently) only a shirt. A flash of panties would have been nice here, but oh well. The good part is when she runs into a patch of quick-mud and starts sinking. Definitely one of the better quicksand/quick-mud scenes out there. Erotica Rating ***

Silencers, The
Stella Stevens leaves the safety of Dean Martin�s car, in the pouring rain, only to fall into mud. Nice scene. Erotica Rating ***

Silent Hill
Radha Mitchell is wonderful in this. Cute, sexy � running around a nightmarish town while wearing a medium-length skirt. Some nice leg action, but alas no panties (except briefly in the DVD extras). Bonus: cockroach-like creatures attack, and one climbs her leg, though not very far.

Sin City
Just an all-round sexy movie. Worth watching just for Carla Gugino�s breasts. Erotica Rating **

Sorority House Massacre 2
Jim Wynorski has directed some of the hottest films I�ve seen. Nowadays he�s doing nothing but crappy porn, alas, but there was a time when he was helming such classics as The Return of Swamp Thing, Ghoulies IV, and this, the pinnacle of his career. It stars Melissa Moore (see The Invisible Maniac) and a bunch of other hotties who each get their own shower scene and wear incredibly skimpy outfits for pretty much the entire movie (until they die in grisly ways, of course). My absolute favourite part: when they decide to flee the house, but are too scared to go upstairs to fetch their clothes first (they are wearing negligees and other flimsy night attire). Even better: it�s raining outside. Erotica Rating *****

Soul Food
About five minutes into the movie, there's a girl dancing sexily in an ultra-short blue dress that in several shots ALMOST but not quite reveals the girl's panties (assuming she's wearing some). Unbelievably sexy! Erotica Rating ***

Spiders
I just love the girl in this. She enters the military base (which is now home to a giant killer spider) wearing a jacket, shirt and tank-top. After a while, she takes off and discards the jacket for NO reason (maybe she�s hot), then, also for no apparent reason, the shirt soon becomes unbuttoned. Then she falls into a spider web, and has to abandon the shirt in order to escape. Then, by now down to her tank-top, she falls into water and there�s a nice wetlook bit. Sexy stuff. Spookies
In my favourite scene, a young woman is escaping from a big old mansion or castle or something. She is scared, and almost slips as she climbs down the ivy. She reaches the bottom and starts to walk away from the mansion � but she is walking through a graveyard. Suddenly, with an outburst of sinister but surprisingly catchy 80s synthesizer music, the dead start to emerge from their graves. First a hand. Then a head. Could be the other way around. Anyway, they start to grab her as she runs past them. Wherever she runs, they are grabbing her. Eventually they get her to the ground, and rip off her dress. Underneath she�s wearing a slip, which is shorter than the dress and quite sexy. At one point they have her pinned to the ground by her arms and legs � but she manages to get free. As she gets up and continues running, the zombies pursue her. Again they catch her, again she breaks free. Finally she breaks through the last line of zombies and makes it to a car. She gets in and is about to start the car � then notices the zombie in the passenger seat. She screams� Erotica Rating ****

Strange Days
Juliette Lewis wears a tank-top and panties to go roller-skating? I�m there! Then she gets home and takes off her top � woo hoo! Later she wears a microdress� It�s pretty good stuff. Erotica Rating **

Tarzan and His Mate
Made just before the Hays Code began to be strictly enforced, this is possibly the sexiest movie of the 1930s. Jane (Maureen O�Sullivan) looks gorgeous in her ridiculously skimpy two-piece jungle outfit, and the nude swimming scene is quite an eye-opener too. Actually that swimming scene was the first victim of the Hays Code enforcement, but fortunately it was later restored. Erotica Rating ****

Tarzan's Hidden Jungle
One of the sexy highlights of the otherwise dull 1950s. Vera Miles, abandoning her broken jeep, plunges through the jungle, ripping up her clothes to reveal her lovely legs in all their glory � and then walks straight into a patch of quick-mud. This is THE best sinking scene in movie history. Erotica Rating ****

Tarzan, the Ape Man
The first of the Johnny Weissmuller / Maureen O�Sullivan Tarzan movies, this features some nice wetlook action from Maureen as she meets Tarzan for the first time and goes for a fully-clothed swim with him. Erotica Rating **

Tenebrae
Another Dario Argento classic. In this one, a young woman in a miniskirt is stranded by her arsehole boyfriend and has to walk home. As she passes a tall fence, a large dog barks viciously at her. She shouts at it, then goes on her way. When she looks back, it has cleared the fence and is coming after her. She runs. It finally catches up with her and attacks her while she rolls around on the grass � giving us some of the best upskirt shots I�ve ever seen. Awesome stuff. Erotica Rating ****

This Night I Will Possess Your Corpse
The maker of this film and its predecessor, At Midnight I�ll Take Your Soul (also worth a look), was a Brazilian perv called Jose Mojica Marins. Did I say perv? I meant genius. He was absolutely rotten to the actresses in his movies. In this one, which features plenty of panties and nipplage, he lets about a hundred tarantulas loose in a dormitory where several young women are sleeping. Pretty soon all of them are covered in the spiders, and still asleep! The scene lasts for ages while the spiders crawl all over these poor girls � it�s one of the sexiest scenes I�ve ever come across. Later in the movie, it�s snakes. Erotica Rating *****

To the Devil ... a Daughter
The last and (in my opinion) most awesomely amazing of the Hammer horror films.
