Rise of The Cyber Queen

10

Queen Cordelia, Isabella, and Jenny blinked back into existence in a large, silver walled, room. Cordelia dropped to one knee and and coughed a few times. “Ugh, what the hell.” Her sister Jenny was in a similar state, but sneezing instead of coughing. This caused all three women to begin laughing.

Isabella grinned at the teenager. “I sneezed the first time too.” Quickly, she looked around the room and realized they were in one of the meeting rooms used for formal, ceremonial, meetings. “Everybody good now?” Both Cordelia and Jenny nodded. Isabella stared a moment too long at both of them, whose nipples were quite hard. An amusing side effect of the inter-dimensional travel.

Cordelia got up off of one knee and walked over to her lover. She kissed Isabella, who hugged her tightly. “Hi,” the Cyber Queen whispered into her ear. They embraced tightly, for what seemed like minutes, until Jenny coughed loudly, getting both women’s attention.

“Hi, I’m still here too!” They turned to Jenny, who grinned. “So, now what? I heard you say something as we went all transporty, but I couldn’t understand it.”

Cordelia remembered right away: “Athena! We are going to meet with Athena.” She looked around the room, noting the formal banners on the walls. “Is this a meeting room?”

Isabella nodded. “This is a typical set up for a meeting room on one of the Cyber Queen’s star ships. Generally, this one is used for greeting Very Important people from other worlds in the Empire, or outside of it.”

“Oh,” Cordelia began, taking her lover’s hand, “I’m ‘Very Important’?” They kissed again. Suddenly, a thought came to her. “Wait, what did you mean by star ship?”

Before Isabella could answer, Athena and two of her closest drones came into the room, defiantly walking through the “whoosh” of the hallway doors. The 700 year old woman was on the shorter side, like Cordelia and Isabella, but held herself with a great authority. Long red hair, sprinkled with strands of silver, adorned her head. She wore a beautiful gray dress with slight amounts of cleavage spilling from her chest.

To either side stood young drones, one red haired, another black haired, both very pale, wearing very short latex dresses and platform heels. Both girls kept their eyes on Athena, following her with their eyes at all times. Each looked completely devoted and deeply enthralled to their Mistress. Cordelia shared a raised eyebrow with Isabella, who just grinned and waved to her dear mentor. Jenny looked like she was scheming how to turn her entire high school into a private drone army.

Isabella crossed the room and embraced Athena. The older woman warmly held her for a moment. “You did very well in the court last night, my dear.” Athena smiled, thrilled with the young lady’s performance.

Isabella shrugged. “Oh, I was just doing what you taught me to do. I’ve been working on this case since I was a child.”

Jenny, who’d been staring out at the window at the vastness of space, occasionally muttering “cool,” or “wow,” turned at Isabella’s statement. “Uh, Earth is a ‘case’ for you?”

Isabella and, in turn, Athena brightened proudly. “Yep,” Isabella began, “I have been assigned to Earth’s case since I was a child. My mothers, Isabella and Cordelia—”

“Wait,” this generation’s Cordelia interrupted, “your parents, uh, mothers, hey, that is neat, names are Cordelia and Isabella too?”

“Yeah, someone really fucking planned that one poorly,” Isabella muttered to herself. “Yeah, isn’t that weird,” she said much louder. Awkwardly, she coughed softly.

“Anyway,” she continued, “I have been assigned to this case since I was a child. I worked under the mentorship of Admiral Nyssa and her wife Madison. Given the events of the past few years, a decision was made, regrettably, to render a guilty verdict for Earth. I was sent to Earth to find a Cyber Queen for the planet and to continue gathering evidence for the trial.

Jenny interrupted, gently. “Which was when you met my sister?”

Isabella nodded and turned to Cordelia, taking her hand. “I enrolled at the local university and was given a schedule that kept me around her a lot.” She squeezed hard. “I was in love by the end of the first week.” They kissed. “I always will be in love with her.”

Athena coughed loudly, making her drones wince. “Ahem. So, anyway, I put together this little meeting because I wanted to meet with the young lady who had taken dear Isabella’s heart.” The original Cyber Queen took her hand gently. “I am quite old at this point.” She paused as her drones gasped, but then grinned at the three women who were her audience. “They hate it when I say that,” she whispered.

“From what I have seen of you,” she continued, “Cordelia, you are quite impressive. Your records show a woman of keen intelligence, thought, and ethics. Exactly the sort of of Cyber Queen that the Empire needs.” She sighed. “Especially given the past few. She turned to Isabella. “I was just with ‘Ms. Royal Robes’ before coming here.”

Isabella laughed. “Oh, her. She is...uh...interesting.”

Athena nodded. “Therefore, I was interested in you, Cordelia. I’ve been at this for many hundreds of years. I was a stupid little girl who let men, my society, control and manipulate me. All of that changed one day. Nevertheless, I am a little concerned with how...static some parts of the Empire have become.”

The Elder looked from Cordelia to Isabella and then pointed at Jenny, who was staring out at space and not paying attention. Cordelia shrugged, which made Athena continue. “Now, don’t be mad, but I have been paying attention to your earlier conversations on Earth. I think I find your, and I quote, ‘fuck the rules,’ attitude very refreshing. We need more women like you, Cordelia.” She stepped forward and hugged the new Cyber Queen, who didn’t seem to know how to otherwise react.

Cordelia pulled away and thought for a long moment. “Thank you, Athena. I am pretty overwhelmed by all of this, but it is really reassuring to have you here with us.”

Athena smiled warmly at her and turned to Isabella. “Tomorrow, I will give my official blessing in front of the senate. Cordelia will need to give a brief speech.” She turned to Cordelia. “Don’t worry, you can basically just adlib something. Isabella will help you.”

At the door to this vast room, two beautiful drones stood waiting at attention. x01 and f2478 had arrived on the ship right after Cordelia, her sister, and Isabella. They had been taken by the drone monitoring drone quarters through a series of corridors until they arrived here and waited for instruction. The deeply enthralled, and in love, drones existed only to serve the Cyber Queen.

Cordelia and the other inhabitants of the room turned to find the drones at the door. “Oh, yes, are these the ones?” Isabella asked Athena, who nodded her affirmation. The Chosen took her Cyber Queen by the hand and led her over to the drones. “This,” she began, “is f2478,” a very loyal drone who was chosen to arrive with me as Earth was conquered.”

Hearing this praise, f2478 blushed and lowered her eyes. “Ma’am, f2478 only exists to serve the Cyber Queen, her long life has been devoted to it, Ma’am.”

Cordelia put a hand to the drone’s face. Shivering slightly, f2478 moved her face directly into her Queen’s touch. “Wait, how old is she?” Cordelia asked about the seemingly young looking drone.

Isabella looked to Athena, who decided to answer. “A funny thing happened about six hundred years ago. Any girl who had been droned or made into a Chosen or Cyber Queen stopped, more or less, aging. I am nearly 800 years old and have gradually aged to about what the average 40 year old looked like on my planet. I was 17 when this began.”

“However, the story of the Genesis of the Cyber Queen is a story for another day.”

Cordelia nodded and walked over to the former Vivian, now designated x01. “Who is this beautiful girl?”

Isabella answered this time. “This is x01. She will accompany f2478 as our personal drones. She was the first girl to be droned on Earth. Well, during ‘The Invasion,’ so to speak. It’s tradition for the first girl and the drone who captured her to become the Cyber Queen’s personal drones.”

“Neat.” Cordelia ran a hand over the girl’s arm. “Dear, we are going to be a little bit here with Athena. Why don’t the two of you go work on any preparation we need for the coming days.” She paused and thought for a moment. Suddenly, she clapped her hands together. “Hey, why don’t you work on a draft of my speech for tomorrow?”

x01’s eyes lit up, “Ma’am, x01 would be honored to work with your speech. She will spend every moment on it until You are pleased.” The beautiful Earth drone smiled and slightly curtsied to her wonderful Superior.

Cordelia laughed a little bit and hugged the drone, which made x01 melt into her arms. “I will come by once Isabella, Jenny, and I are settled in. We can work on it together then.” The Cyber Queen looked over at f2478. “...and you, loyal slave, I’d like you to work on anything else that needs to be done before tomorrow.” She waved towards the Women in the room. “We are going to be busy for awhile, but I will also check in with you too in a bit.”

f2478 nodded. Cordelia smiled, warming quickly to both drones. “I know the two of you seem to have come as a pair, so I hope you can bear to be apart for a bit.” The two drones looked over at each other, love and a slight, slight, bit of amusement in their expressions. They could, and would, deal with being apart to please the Cyber Queen.

Cordelia noticed the looks being exchanged by the drones and caught on. “Oh! You two are so totally in love, aren’t you? Cute.” She patted both of them on their latex clad bottoms. “Now, go get to your tasks.” Both drones nodded and turned to leave the room, deeply enthralled and eager to please.

After watching the asses of the drones sway out of the room, Cordelia noticed that Athena and Isabella were standing in front of a large view screen. She also realized her sister had left the room. The Cyber Queen walked over to where they stood and stepped into line next to them. They were watching what looked like a video of Earth. “What is this? Where did my sister go?”

Athena casually looked over, “oh, Jenny went to find her cheerleaders or something like that.” The original Cyber Queen pointed at the video screen. “This is a live feed from Earth.” They watched the screen change from cities, where buildings filled with drones captured and converted both women and men, to countrysides where daughters chased mothers, boys tried to escaped their newly droned girlfriends or sisters, and, finally, to a scene where a Middle Eastern President stood behind the remnants of his military, who were methodically being hunted by a phalanx of olive skinned drones, who’d previously been oppressed under his regime.

A few minutes went by while they watched the video in silence. Finally, Athena pushed a few buttons on the console and changed the feed to a current one. A dark haired young woman in a very professional looking skirt, stockings, and sweater was barricading herself in what looked like an executive suite. She looked around frantically, trying to move any furniture she could toward the door.

“That beautiful young lady,” Athena began, “is named Olivia. She is the last undroned human left.”

Cordelia and Isabella stood quietly watching the scene in front of them play out. The Chosen idly wrapped her fingers around the Cyber Queen’s, squeezing tightly in support of her. Eventually, five drones broke down the door. The first two fired their guns at Olivia, snaring her in their beams. A minute passed before x6583254820, the final drone on Earth, emerged from her tube, ready to serve the Cyber Queen.

Finally, with the final drone under control, there was a great silence. Outside of the skyscraper the sudden rainstorm that had begun during the processing of it had stopped just as suddenly. The sun came out and glinted off of the black clad drones as they stepped into rows and filed out of the building. Cordelia shared a look with Isabella, who understood her unspoken request to not only have the first drone, but also the final one.

Into the room came a beautiful Arab drone and a slightly older woman, wearing a formal uniform and a very informal headband. Cordelia furrowed her brow at Isabella’s smile and quick sprint across the room into the woman’s arms. After they embraced, Isabella waved to Cordelia who came over to her. “This,” she smiled warmly, “is Admiral Nyssa, the first Queen Cordelia’s main advisor and warrior.” The Chosen turned to her Cyber Queen, “she is a dear friend of my Mothers.”

Nyssa embraced the younger Cordelia, who returned it gently. The red haired Admiral quickly got to business. “Cordelia, I am here as a spokesperson from the...uh...other Queen Cordelia’s planet. We are here to aid you and assist in prepping Earth for the Empire in any way you see fit for us.” She paused, “also, given that this one,” she waved at Isabella, “is Their daughter, we consider it an honor.”

Cordelia nodded, a little overwhelmed. She needed to meet her previous generation’s namesake soon. “Thank you, uh, Admiral. Sir? Whatever.” All inhabitants of the room smiled at her lack of giving a fuck about protocols or formalities.

Nyssa was the first to speak afterwards. “I am also here, on an official level, to tell you that I have evaluated Earth’s current standing and found the invasion to be satisfactory. Also,” she smiled, “work is being done on your home. Another phalanx of drones had just arrived when I was there.”

Cordelia smiled and laughed. While Nyssa had been speaking to her, a pair of droned girls wearing latex pink cheerleader uniforms came into the room, snapping to attention next to Jenny. Everyone looked over at the interesting sight, looks ranging from bemusement to shock. Jenny entered the room bearing a few bottles of wine. “Uh, apparently this wine is like 500 years old.”

Cordelia looked to Athena, who nodded. “Oh yes, there is a funny story behind those.” She nodded to a drone, who took the bottle from Jenny and began pouring glasses for everyone. “All hail Queen Cordelia, the Cyber Queen of Earth!”

Glasses were rung, drinks were downed, and hugs were exchanged. Below them, on the planet, drones of varying mental capacities worked tirelessly to rebuild the planet in the Cyber Queen’s vision. Cordelia and Isabella would be married a few weeks later, with Isabella expecting their daughter, a future Chosen, many months later. The Cyber Queen and her Chosen would reign together over Earth for many hundreds of years, before passing the planet on and settling into an ambassadorship role within the Empire.

The End

Author’s Note: A lot of this story’s plot was loosely based on an intertextual mixture of various versions of the flood narrative from Genesis in The New Testament and The Qur’an that I sketched out while bored in a graduate class one day. There are also specific references to The Epic of Gilgamesh, a few Sumerian texts, along with Doctor Who.

Coming soon... The Drones of The Cyber Queen and, then, The Head Mistress of The Cyber Queen.
