Dawn smiled as she set down her tablet pen and squinted at the image on her screen. The window was full of elegant lines, art that she’d been working on for the better part of the day. She’d lost track of how many times she’d redone a slow elegant curve, or replaced a line with one more properly connected to the rest of the piece. It was time consuming work, but infinitely satisfying. Without interruptions from the outside world Dawn would happily spend day after day in front of her computer with her tablet, making new works of art from pages of blank white.
The white-and-black art was a dramatic contrast with Dawn’s long curly red hair and vibrant blue eyes. While her skin tone was still rather pale, the soft creamy texture was still darker than the stark white of her screen. The black lines matched the simple black dress she wore over her short, slender frame.
While the line work for the moment was still wispy black over a field of white, Dawn’s face was covered with a cute smattering of freckles that continued down past the tame neckline of her dress. The same freckles emerged from her dress’s sleeves.
Her lips curved into a soft smile as she traced another line with her eyes. It had taken a long time, but she was finally beginning to be satisfied. Then I’ll just ‘ink’ this up, work on colors if it isn’t too late… I hope that Roland gets home soon. Being a firefighter is dangerous work…
Reality jarred her from her headspace with the sound of a doorbell. She laughed an embarrassingly loud laugh as she shook her head and rose to make way for the door.
When the door opened her voice caught in her throat.
“Dawn! It’s been awhile, hasn’t it?” The woman leaning against the doorframe was short, with dyed cobalt blue hair and blue eyes that all but matched Dawn’s own. Their skin tones were equally pale, and the new arrival wore as much black, though in the form of jeans, a t-shirt, and a leather jacket. “You’re looking good. Really good. But you always did, really. Can I come in?”
Dawn stiffened, her face twisted in a look of uncertainty. “I-I don’t know, Tanya. That really might not be such a good idea. I’m still with Roland. I think you should—”
“Look, I just came by to see well… to see if you were still happy. To see if marrying him was really what you wanted. To see if this is really the way you wanted things to turn out.” Tanya bit her lip, looking away from the half closed door, and then back to Dawn’s eyes.
It took a long time for Dawn to reply. Her hand, still tightly clutching the inner door knob, lightly trembled. “Yes. Yes, Roland is who I want to spend the rest of my life with. We’re thinking about having a kid together.”
Tanya slowly nodded, looking thoughtful as she turned away from the door. “Fair. That’s fair. So I guess I’ll leave you to it, huh?”
Dawn blinked. She’s just going to go? But her voice doesn’t sound like she’s giving up…
Blue eyes met blue eyes again, and Dawn bit her lip as she grasped the doorknob tighter. It was too easy to remember the allure that Tanya had once held for her, and how close she’d come to throwing away the life that she now loved. She had a husband. She was going to have a child. She had a successful art career. As much as a part of her body yearned to embrace the woman on her doorstep she knew how terribly wrong that would be.
Tanya nodded again. “Well, it was nice seeing you. You look good. Always did, really. I guess I’ll see you yesterday, then.” Tanya held up her arm, and began to twist the outer ring of her watch.
“See me… yesterday…?” Dawn’s voice was so soft that it was almost a whisper. “Okay, I guess. Take care of yourself, Tanya. You look… good… too. I guess.”
Before Tanya could reply, Dawn pulled the door closed and threw the deadbolt into place. As Dawn stepped away from the door, going back to her computer to take her art project to the next step, Tanya twisted the inner ring of her watch and curled her lips into a crooked smile.
The arms of the watch began to spin rapidly counter clockwise, blurring as their momentum grew. Blue light began to tear behind the points, forming concentric circles that pulsed with the rhythm of Tanya’s now vibrating watch. She held her hand up over her head, quietly laughing as she shook her head.
In a blinding blue flash Tanya disappeared, leaving behind little more than a scent on the breeze.
Dawn sat under a tree with her sketchpad resting against her thighs. In her hand she held a pencil, which occasionally tapped against her lips between lines and curves. The scene that filled her pad was simple, a dark haired girl standing atop a small hill halfway through a sunset.
Even without the warm colors that would come later it was already romantic in a quiet sort of way. Dawn laughed, and blushed as she heard the loud sound of her own voice.
A shadow cast itself over her sketch pad and she blinked as she glanced up to see the woman standing tall over her in a leather jacket. “I remember when you drew that. I never got to see it while you were working on it. You were always shy about letting me see your lines. It always made me sad. It’s not like I’d give you a hard time if a line wasn’t smooth. You always fixed it when you grabbed out that sharpie.”
“Uhm… Do I… Know you…?” Dawn blinked up at the woman towering over her with a mild frown. There was something incredibly familiar about her, but it was hard to be sure. She looks a lot like Tanya, but she’s a blonde… And this woman has to be in her thirties. Tanya might be a year older than me, but that only makes her nineteen. So she can’t be her. She is kinda… sexy, in a bit of a creepy way.
The woman standing over her laughed, and shook her head. “Technically, maybe? But I’m going to say that you won’t know me for another twenty years or so. Just to be fair. But I know you. You mean a lot to me. So I’m here to help you out.”
Dawn frowned, and started to close up her sketch pad. “That’s uhm, nice and all, but I think that I’m g—…oing… home… now…”
A blue light from the woman’s watch illuminated Dawn’s face, making her eyes widen and her mouth fall half open. She dropped her pencil, and then her sketchpad onto the grass. She trembled, her body going limp the longer she stared helplessly into the light.
“No, no you’re not going home. Not quite yet. I paid a pretty penny for this, you know.” Tanya smiled as she sat beside the younger Dawn, her watch in front of her face. Drool had already began to slide slowly along her lips. “All for you. Because you might be happy, but I’m not. I should have snatched you up when I had the chance, made it so you couldn’t say no… but that’s what I’m going to do now. You can’t resist the light, can you Dawn?”
“C-can’t… resist… the light…” Dawn’s voice was so soft it was almost inaudible. Her lips hardly moved, as her wide eyes trembled with the force of the blue light filling them.
Tanya sighed, sliding fingers through the red curls that flowed from Dawn’s scalp. They were shorter than they had been mere moments ago, but Tanya remembered them best as they were now. She kissed her ear, and whispered in a low husky tone as she pulled the young woman closer. “That’s right. You can’t resist the light. You can’t think when you see this special light. It opens up your mind and makes it so you have to obey. It makes it so you have to listen, and helps me teach you a very special truth. Something I should have taught you a long time ago.”
“Taught… Mmmm… Long… time… ag-ooooo!” Dawn’s voice grew louder, sharper as Tanya’s hand slid from her hair to grasp at her breast through her t-shirt. It was still adorably quiet, soft, and enough on its own to make Tanya shudder.
She licked her lips, savoring the sight of her dear friend as she hadn’t seen her for so many years. She squeezed tighter at her concealed breasts, stroking over the familiar bump of her nipple through the younger woman’s bra. Mmm I never forgot how it felt to squeeze you like this, to hear you like this. I’m not going to have to just remember anymore. You’re going to be with me this time. Mine… Really your fault for being too amazing for your own good.
Dawn’s vacant eyes stared into the light, but saw nothing. Drool slid down along her cheek, glistening in the afternoon sun that penetrated the leaves overhead.
Her legs were slowly sliding further and further apart as Tanya fondled her chest.
“That’s right… It’s all right if you like a boy here or there… But who you want, more than anyone, to spend the rest of your life with? That’s…” She reached under Dawn’s shirt, pulling down her bra to emphasize her word with a twisted nipple. “Tanya… Tanya. That girl with the blue eyes just like yours. She’s crazy about you. Loves you. Wants you. Needs you. And you… need her. Want her.”
“Need… her… want… her…!” Dawn let out a quiet scream as she felt her stiff nipple pulled taut. No thought surfaced in her mind in response, even as Tanya’s words sank deeper into her mind. Her panties grew sticky and damp as her head fell onto Tanya’s shoulder.
“No one more important. You have your art, and Tanya. The two most important things in your world.” Tanya moaned as she nibbled on Dawn’s ear, savoring the familiar taste of her skin that had been only a distant memory for far too long. She tugged, trembling at the young woman’s quivering groan. “You need to pursue your passion, and to pursue the real love of your life. Boys can be cute, but girls, those are for love. Women are for love. And you love Tanya!”
“I loooooove Tanyaaaaa!” Dawn’s voice twisted in her throat as the blue pulsed and flashed in her eyes and Tanya’s fingers twisted her neglected nipple roughly.
Tanya moaned into her neck, shuddering as she wrapped her legs around one of Dawn’s. She’d been craving those words for so long. She needed them, more than she needed anything else in her life.
“G-good girl… Such a pretty, pretty Dawn… Mmm… You’re going to do everything you can to be with Tanya for the rest of your life. Her lover. Her confidant. Isn’t that right…?” Tanya’s voice quivered from her own lingering afterglow as her hips gently shook. Hesitance was laced through each syllable, as if afraid that asking for confirmation would somehow break the spell and take everything that she craved so desperately right along with it.
Dawn slowly nodded with her boneless feeling neck. “Yess… lover… confidant… forever… want to be with her… for the rest of my life…”
Tanya sighed, slowly stroking Dawn’s ringletted curls. “P-perfect… Perfect. Then I’m just going to catch my breath, and then… and then… we’ll see just how well this plan worked out. Mmm… You’re cuddly as ever.” Tanya grinned as she rested her head ontop of Dawn’s. She spared her crown a quick kiss, before fluttering her eyes half closed.
They stayed like that for a long time, with Dawn drooling over Tanya’s jacket.
When Tanya recovered, she turned off the light, and cleaned the drool from Dawn’s cheek. “Now, you’re going to go off and find Tanya to confess your love, all right? I’ll see you… in a little while.”
“Going to… confess my love… nnn… right…” Dawn fluttered her eyes with a sigh before giving a slow nod.
As much as it hurt Tanya, she forced herself to pull away and began to adjust the rings of her watch again. That was just as easy as she said it would be. Just twist the rings, then press in the light function with the watch face aimed… I was worried it was going to be more complicated, but now all I have to do is go back. I didn’t even have to stop my mother from kissing me. Hm. Maybe for another jaunt through time.
Tanya giggled as the watch hands began to rapidly spin and blur with that same blue light again.
Dawn yawned, fluttering her eyes as she slid her sketchbook into her backpack and shakily stood. She was so wet, and her nipples so stiff, but it was hard not to think that was somehow Tanya’s fault. Tanya. She had to see Tanya.
She stumbled drowsily as she hoisted her bag onto her back. She didn’t even see as the older woman disappeared in a brilliant flash of blue light.
If she had, it wouldn’t have slowed her down.
She needed to see Tanya.
Tanya grinned as she strolled up to Dawn’s new address. Thankfully I didn’t change time so much that my smartphone couldn’t connect to the network. Even still have the same number. I guess she was right. You really have to do a lot to change time for much more than a few people.
The home she walked up to was a nice modest suburban home, with a two car garage. It even had a white fence and a well-kept lawn. Roland lived on the other side of town.
Still a firefighter, and still married—just not to Dawn.
Tanya was fine with that. It hadn’t been anything personal. She just needed her Dawn. If anything, she felt more relieved with each step she took towards her own front door. Messing with time and space was supposed to be bad, but when that woman had insisted that it wouldn’t cause the end of the world through robot rebellion or nuclear war it had been impossible to resist. She took a deep breath, pressed the doorbell, and grinned as she leaned against the door frame.
As the sound of the doorbell faded, Tanya felt something quiver behind her eyes. It was a strange feeling, like nostalgia for something she’d never felt. Her lips rubbed together as her eyes stared to the front door and right through it.
Memories blossomed in her mind that she couldn’t remember experiencing. She remembered Dawn, sexy young dawn, artistic young Dawn, passionate young Dawn with those bouncing red curls ringing her bell. She remembered answering the door and practically being pounced onto the floor, held down and kissed like she’d never been kissed before.
Just thinking about the kiss made her feel weak. Fuzzy. Confused. That had never happened, but then…
O-oh, right… I sent her to go see me… I must be... syncing up to this timeline…?
Tanya furrowed her brows. The woman who gave her the watch hadn’t told her anything about what would happen to her memory. She’d assured her that changing the timeline wouldn’t erase her from existence. She’d assured her that the timeline would find a place for her when she returned. Tanya had been too excited about the chance of being with Dawn to ask too many questions. As soon as she’d been sure that it was safe for her and the rest of existence, nothing else had really mattered.
But she was feeling dizzier. Softer. Smaller.
She remembered how close she’d been with Dawn after that. Inseparable. They’d done everything together. Dawn let her watch her draw, and shared her in progress drafts. They’d spent every waking moment they could together.
Just like I wanted… Mmm and I even get to remember it, even if I didn’t live through it. It’s changing me to match up with what I should remember… Feels so… strange…
Tanya moaned and fluttered her eyes. She was on the cusp of remembering something very important. It wasn’t something she could force, or make consciously happen. Whatever force of time that had fitted her back in where she belonged was moving at its own pace. Maybe it was only as fast as her mind was able to process the changes. She wondered what her brain would look like as her memories shifted.
But only for a moment. The new memories were too powerful to ignore. She had to focus on them, and understand them. Otherwise, she wouldn’t know herself.
She was always so close… Always kissing me… Holding me… She was more… forceful than I remem…used to… remember…? Maybe a little clingy… but that was okay. I was so in love with her, and she always made me so happy. We found every excuse to be together… to be close… and then… then she showed me… showed me…
Tanya moaned as her eyes took on a glassy, fuzzy sheen. She tried to stiffen, to force herself to solidify, but time wasn’t something she knew how to fight. Memory wasn’t something she knew how to make less real.
Her posture slackened as her mouth fell open. Her eyes fluttered. The memories were so intense, and growing stronger. It was harder to remember there had been anything else.
She… Kept saying we needed to find ways to be closer… To make sure we’d be together forever… And then she… She said she wanted to try… to try something different, while we were making out. She had me staring at her television, and was behind me, playing with my breasts and… whispering… into my… my ears and… telling me… things…
Tanya moaned again, softer, quieter. She was lost in the memory, as though it were playing out in her now instead of in a past she didn’t experience. Her nipples rose up against her top, loudly announcing their presence as her eyes crossed.
Telling me how… How she was the most important thing in my world… How I needed her… Her and her art… Needed to be with her… Needed her… Loved her… And the only way that we could be sure nothing would ever get between us was if I was hers… Obeyed her… Surrendered myself to her… Became another art project for her to help make perfect… If I always obeyed her, we’d always be together… Always… be… happy…
Shudders rocked her body as she felt the sexy lingerie she was wearing under her clothes. She wasn’t sure it had been there before, but it wasn’t important. Dawn had told her to wear it, so she was wearing it. She always did what Dawn told her to do.
It was the only way that they could be sure they’d always be together, and always be happy.
Nothing was as important to Tanya as being with Dawn.
She remembered Dawn putting the collar around her neck, and leading her around their first apartment with a leash. She remembered staring vacant into so many screens as Dawn drew her, painted her, lovingly recreating every naked contour of her body. Tanya was always happy to be her model. It was a way that she could obey, and Tanya loved to obey Dawn.
She needed to obey Dawn so they could both be happy.
She… m-made me… made me her… sl-slave… o-over and over and… Ooooh… Daaawn… Mistress… Dawn… Tanya moaned as she found herself falling to her knees. Dawn liked her on her knees. It was a sign of submission, and a powerful one at that.
Primal.
Irresistible.
But she… she was so innocent… she was… just an artist and… always so quiet and… always… so… dominant… Tanya groaned as her eyes rolled back into her head. She arched out her chest, hands resting on her thighs. Dawn was getting closer to the door. She could hear her footsteps. Dawn liked to see her lover presenting herself. She didn’t like her to leave, but if she was going to leave, then she was going to come back as obediently as possible.
It had been a week since she’d left the house. They both worked at home. Groceries delivered. They didn’t need anyone but each other.
Tanya didn’t need anyone but Dawn.
I-I a-asked her if I… c-could go for a walk… get some fresh air… Tanya shuddered. It had been so out of character, but she had really wanted to go outside. Not to get distance from her lover, she’d just wanted to feel the world around her. Going outside to time travel and convince Dawn to be with her instead of Roland? That was the silliest thing she’d ever imagined.
Dawn had dated Roland for a while in high school, but afterwards admitted it was meaningless.
Strand by strand the hair on her head turned back to blonde from its once cobalt blue. It grew longer, styled into gorgeous ringlets. Dawn liked the way their eyes matched. It was fun when their hair did, too.
But she liked Tayna as a blonde.
The door opened, and Dawn grinned down at her pet. She was wearing a short black skirt, a matching bandeau top, and thigh high boots. “Did you enjoy your little outing, my lovely tanyapet?”
Tanya moaned, nodding slowly. She knew how she needed to respond. Her Mistress had trained her too well for her to forget. “Yes, Mistress! Thank you for being so kind to your pet. Can I come in now, and show you just how much I’ve missed you? How much I always want to be with you, for the rest of my life?”
Dawn grinned and nodded, stepping back as she motioned for Tanya to move inside. “Of course you can. Mmm, you know… if your hair was blue, you’d remind me of someone that I met once a long time ago. You’d never do a silly thing like that though, would you?”
Tanya shook her head as she crawled inside on her hands and knees. As the door closed, she stripped down to the small, lacey thong with its matching halfcup bra. “Of course not, Mistress! At least, not unless you wanted me to. I’m your art project, and you like me blonde, so I’m blonde. I’m your canvas. Your lover. Yours.”
A loud laugh rang out from Dawn’s lips, so loud that even if she loved it Tanya winced before settling into a dreamy smile. “That’s right, slave. Now, you kept me lonely for an hour. I think you should get to work ‘inspiring’ me.”
“Yes, Mistress!” Tanya moaned as she crawled her way up under Dawn’s skirt, kissing along her thighs.
Thanks to Dawn’s control, the two of them would be together forever. She moaned as she nibbled along the flesh between her owner’s thigh and her body before lavishing the flesh with endless small quick kisses.
Behind her, in the pile of clothes, her watch sat forgotten, continuing its precise pattern of ticks and tocks as time moved forward just like it always had and always would.
