Ink Stained Reunion

Chapter 8: When It Rains

“Aurora! Aurora!” Kelly’s voice was barely audible over the scream of the engine and the rushing wind. Only her urgency helped her cut through the interference. “We need to pull over! We’ve been driving so long it’s almost dawn!”

“There’s a roadside motel coming up! I would have stopped in Twilight Falls, but if we stop here and get some sleep, we can be in Midas by this afternoon!” Aurora watched the speedometer rise and savored Kelly’s tighter embrace. They’d stopped for food, but the trip had been mostly driving. Aurora was thankful that the Project’s middle-of-nowhere hideout was closer to Midas than it was to her aunt’s house.

Kelly clung for her life as Aurora drove faster. Initially she was critical of the younger woman’s driving, but clearly she drove best beyond any speed limit. Kelly had never met someone so dedicated to their goal while also seeming certain of failure. Her resolve was unshaken. Her devotion was unwavering.

Above them the sky was full of stars that twinkled silently. Aureus’s headlight bathed the road ahead of them with bright light that looked insignificant compared to the encompassing darkness. The road was empty. There had been a truck or two in the hours past but they’d long left them behind.

Aurora blinked as she stared at the road, watching only the portion illuminated by her headlight’s beam. She was unsure if maybe they should have stopped in Twilight Falls after all. The light seemed to be shrinking. At first it looked about an inch too short to be the same sight she’d been staring at for hours on end, but then it lost length enough to make the night seem darker.

Her mouth opened to scream back at Kelly when she was interrupted by the rainbow-haired woman. “Look out! Someone’s in the road!”

Aurora leaned her body hard to the left as she desperately swerved and narrowly missed slamming into the figure by mere inches. The swerve turned into a quickly halted u-turn. Aureus quieted to a low purr as Aurora grasped her handlebars tighter.

“What the fuck was that?! It’s the middle of the night, morning, whatever! No one was on the fucking road, no cars, no . . .” Aurora shakily glanced behind her and whimpered. “No one’s there. Of course no one’s there. I believe Quillspawn is involved a lot more now.”

“Why?” Kelly blinked faintly as she loosened her grasp on Aurora. She followed her gaze, blinking at the sight. There was very clearly no one else but them on the road.

“My mom told me about the time she first met Quillspawn. She said that everything seemed designed to crush her spirits and push her to the end of her rope. My other mother was controlled to whimper that she loved her just before going comatose. She was lured into a villain’s grasp, under Quillspawn’s control, so when this was discovered she’d get off scot-free. She’s trying to fuck with me.” Aurora uncurled her hands from the handlebars and rubbed over them slowly. “She’s doing a good job. Whatever she’s done with Sarah, Valerie, maybe even Sylvia . . . That was probably her in the road. Mom can teleport, and their powers are sort of similar. Mom never really got the hang of it, though. She’s always a little to the left.”

Kelly nodded and kissed Aurora’s cheek softly. “Then we need to get to that motel, and get you some sleep. Maybe we could share a bed, just for comfort’s sake. Or, we could have a little de-stress-the-Aurora sex. Whatever we do, we shouldn’t stay still.”

The headlight’s length suddenly returned, making Aurora wince. Her eyes hadn’t been adjusting well to light. That didn’t help her feel any more confident that her metal would be there when she needed it, but it wasn’t anything more than a temporary reminder of her fun with Proximiti. Slowly she made a second u-turn and drove barely above walking speeds. Her eyes stayed focused on the edge of the light.

She tried not to think about Kelly curling up against her in bed. The thought was a fun one. She could still remember the feeling of her tongue. She had memorized the warmth of her body during the drive.

The headlight dimmed, much quicker than before, and Aurora slowed down to match. When the light didn’t reach past the edge of the glass, Aurora stopped and stood up to examine Aureus more carefully. Kelly watched her nervously. When something black came from the light and slammed Aurora back onto the road Kelly screamed.

“Fuck!” Aurora held a hand to the center of her chest as she rose, slowly gazing around in a circle to find the source. Whatever hit her had only appeared long enough to strike and hadn’t much cared about keeping her down. “Maybe we should pull over to the side of the road until whatever this is goes away. Sound all right to you, Ke-Prism?”

“Sounds great. If it tries to knock you off when you’re driving, your bike is kinda out of luck. I could protect myself, but I have no clue how to drive one of these things!” Prism smiled, trying to sound as upbeat as possible. She stepped back as Aurora walked the bike to the side of the road.

Aurora frowned as something moved in the distance. “Stay here. I’m going to go have a look. If I scream, or anything, hurry after me. You’re the one with powers that still work like they should.”

Prism nodded before holding out her hand in front of the headlight. Drops of dew fell from her fingertips, forming an orb amid the air that quickly hardened into a small ball of rainbow light. “Only problem is that my powers need light to work, so there’s not a whole lot more I’ll be able to do. I usually work days. Take it. It’ll give you enough light to see by.”

Aurora grabbed the ball, again surprised at what seemed like light that felt solid yet wholly without texture. It didn’t even have a plasticy non-texture; it was simply light. “Thanks, Prism. I think she’s just fucking with me anyway, but showing it won’t stop me might be a good idea.”

Rainbow eyes watched the dimly lit heroine dash into the shadows. Prism wiped her hand against her pants and then shook away the remaining moisture. Her power was a strange one, but ultimately very useful. Silently she resolved against roadtrips in the future and renewed her vow to stay in sunny climates. She reached out for the handlebar and shook her hand as she felt something wet.

“Damnit. Why couldn’t I have a normal power, like fire or lightning, or even telepathy. I get everywhere all drippy. Last thing Aurora needs, something loosening her grip!” Kelly rolled her eyes as she used her shirt to wipe off the handlebar.

The palm of her hand tingled. It was subtle and ebbed as she wiped her hand off along the side of her shirt. Soon it was gone and forgotten. Prism was more worried about the light going away. It stayed strong, and that comfort was enough to distract her from the softer tingling as the dampness from her shirt sank into her skin.

Inside of her, in the places her dew came from, flowed a small stream of black undiluted by its surroundings.

Soon enough, Aurora returned still holding Prism’s small light ball. “Whoever it was, I think it’s gone. I think it was my Aunt Aniela, Yana’s wife. She can play around with shadows, and they were together when Quillspawn was ‘killed’. It would only make sense if her death was exaggerated that Aniela would be compromised. You might have heard of her, her alias is Silhouette.”

“Silhouette . . . It doesn’t ring a bell, but that’s fine. I watch the news, but I’m horrible with names. Nnn . . .” Prism rubbed her forehead, yawning with a sudden wave of fatigue. “I think you’re right. We should get going. Even a hard motel bed sounds great.”

Aurora smiled as she again mounted Aureus and wiggled comfortably into place. “Then hop on. I think you look a little tired for de-stress-sex, but I could go for cuddles even more.”

“Sounds like a plan!” Prism hugged closer to Aurora on the back of Aureus. They started to move, again at Aurora’s unsafe, lawbreaking speeds. Prism allowed herself a faint laugh before hugging even closer. Within her, the black grew, and she forgot the dampness and the tingling altogether.

Aurora and Kelly slept huddled together under the cheap motel blankets. While Aurora’s sleep was a peaceful one, Kelly’s was not. She squirmed and twisted relentlessly against the other heroine. Her dreams were slick, and full of so much black.

In her dreams, Kelly was running. Black clouds were forming overhead. The nearest shelter seemed impossibly far away. No matter how fast she ran the treeline across the grassy field stayed just as far away. She was almost certain it was moving farther away.

A deep brontide sounded from overhead, followed quickly by the first drops of rain. Instead of the transparent drops of water she thought she was running from, the drops were black ink. She froze as she glanced around for some way to hide, for some escape, and found nothing nearer than the distant trees.

Kelly stared up to the clouds as more of the black rain fell. Narrowing her eyes in silent resolve, she turned her gaze again towards the trees and ran as fast as she could. The cloud cover had made it far too dark to use her powers. She fought against the surge of helplessness, pushing herself faster and faster as she felt the ground beneath her slicken.

Small drops of ink fell on her bare skin and melted through her clothing. Each drop made her tingle and shudder as her body responded to the ink. Her nipples tightened as between her legs matched the slickness of the falling ink. “No! Stop it, stop it!”

Her heart pounded as she put everything she could into her legs. The grass was filled with inky mud, but mud that conjured more thoughts of moans and roaming hands smearing it over her than it did a desire for soap. She barely felt it when her feet lost traction and she fell face-first into the puddle the field had become. “No . . . can’t let you . . . goddess it feels so good!”

She braced herself against the ground, pushing herself up as rivulets of ink ran along her curves. Her thighs clenched as the ground beneath her gave way, breaking apart and dissolving into a river of ink. Thick and hungry, the ink pulled her in deep, submerging her in wet hot euphoria.

At first Kelly screamed and thrashed what little she could, fighting against the wet sinking feeling. Then she realized she wasn’t drowning. Ink tingled through her scalp, along the small of her back, and down her throat. It only felt good. It only felt perfect. She was drowning in lust and desire, being pulled deeper as the rain continued to pour overhead. All she could feel was pleasure.

Her body went limp, moving only to shudder and arch more into the deluge that surrounded her. Her body was stained black, as were her eyes, and her formerly rainbow locks. She could feel the ink melting in through her ears, through her eyes, and through her pussy.

Every drop made her mind darker and slicker.

Yes, Kelly, yes . . . It does feel so good, and I can help it feel better. I can make everything feel better. All you need to do, is surrender to me. I can take everything from there. I can take all of you from there, and make you better.

Words dripped through her mind, and all Kelly could do was moan as ink dripped out of her pussy along with her own juices. She was more full of ink than she had ever been full of anything else.

Her lips slowly twisted into a dark grin as she looked down and began to swim deeper into the ink filled abyss.
