She stood five foot eleven. But only weighed about a hundred fifteen pounds. She had no hips and her ass was as flat as a board. Even in a two piece bikini, it was hard to tell she was a young woman unless you looked at her face. From the neck up, she was a classic Irish beauty. She had long, flaming red hair down to the small of her back. She usually wore it in a simple pony tail or a single long braid. Her eyes were a striking emerald green with little golden specks and long thick eyelashes. She had full pouty lips and a nose that was straight and narrow. She also had legs to die for. The rest of her body may have looked like a stick figure, but Banba's legs were long and shapely taking up almost half of her nearly six foot tall body. Unlike other girls her age, Banba wasn't interested in boys or sex. In fact she had never even masturbated. She had two passions, her school work, and running. Her GPA was 4.89 and her best mile was run at 4.16. Banba would turn eighteen on May twenty six and her high school graduation was on the twenty eighth of May. Two days before her birthday, she got an uncontrollable urge to visit Ireland. That night at dinner she told her parents about it. Her father Bill, exploded. "No you're not! Don't even think about it! You're finishing high school then you're going to collage. I don't care what you do after that!" Both Banba and Bill were standing with their hands on the table screaming in each others faces when Banba's mother Erin slammed her fist on the table shouting, "BOTH OF YOU, SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP!" Instantly both sat and shut up. They were in total shock. Neither one of them had ever heard Erin raise her voice before. Erin stood looking at both of them. "Both of you sit there and keep your mouths shut. I'll be right back." They had never heard so much anger in Erin's voice. Neither one of them dared to move or say a word. A few minutes later, Erin returned carrying a large manila envelope. She set the envelope on the table as she took her seat. "Both of you are gonna sit and listen to what I have to say. Neither one of you will say a word until I finish what I have to say." She looked at her husband. "I've known this day was coming since the day Banba was born. I had to make the same pilgrimage. So did my mother and her mother before her. I don't know why, but every MacCarthy woman in our line has had to make the same pilgrimage since the fifth century. She has to go Bill, her life depends on it. Twice before, sisters of those who had already gone refused to go. The day they turned eighteen, they died. I'll not risk Banba's life for your pride Bill." Erin turned to Banba. "I felt this coming on days ago. I knew even before you spoke what you were gonna say. She took a ring with a sapphire stone in it's center out of the envelope. "Put this on your right ring finger. Your first stop will be in County Cork. You will have to visit the Blarney Castle. When you do, turn the ring so the stone faces your palm and let touch the Blarney Stone. After that, your pilgrimage will begin. I can't tell you what it will entail. It seems to be different for each of us." She handed Banba a small coin purse. "These are yours now. You will have to toss one in a lake as an offering. I can't tell you which lake. Again it's different for each of us. I can't even tell you who you're making the offering to. I honestly don't know. Keep the rest of the coins safe. You'll need to pass them on to your own daughter someday." She passed the envelope to Banba. "I've been saving for this day before you were even born. There are two debit cards from two different banks. One has a VISA logo the other a Master Card. They are in your name and each has five thousand dollars on it. Your passport is in there with a thirty day visitors visa. Your plane ticket is in there too. It leaves at midnight. You'll have to be at the airport by nine to get through security. It's six o'clock now. I'll give you an hour to pack. Then we're out of here." Banba jumped up hugging her mother. "Thanks mom! Somehow I knew you'd understand." She let out a little giggle. "My suitcase is waiting by my bedroom door. The only thing I have to pack is the stuff you gave me and all of that's going in my purse." She put every thing in her purse. "I'm good to go mom." She looked at her father. "Daddy, please don't be mad at me. I have no choice. I have to do this. I'm sorry I yelled at you. I love you daddy." Bill stood pulling Banba in for a hug. "I love you too sweetie. I'm not sure how much of what I just heard I believe. To me, most of it seems like superstitious nonsense. But I know you and your mother both believe it. I realize how important it is to you both." He chuckled. "I may not be happy about it, but if it's important enough to make your mother raise her voice for the first time in twenty six years of marriage, I think I'd better just go along with it. The only thing I ask, is that you take your cell phone and check in with us every night to let us know you're safe." "Daddy, I don't know where I'm going or what I'll be doing when I get there. All I can promise is to check in with you every chance I get. Even if I have to call collect from a pay phone. Okay?" Bill rolled his eyes. "Okay sweetie. I guess that will have to do. I'll get your luggage for you. We don't want you missing your flight." Banba kissed his cheek. "Thank you daddy." It was a little after eight o'clock when they dropped Banba off at the airport. Erin said, "Bill, we have to stop at my mother's house before we head home." "Now? Honey, by the time we get there it'll be almost ten o'clock with this traffic." "It doesn't matter what time we get there. She knows Banba left tonight. She'll be awake. She wants talk to us." Bill rolled his eyes thinking it was just gonna be more superstitious nonsense. But all he said was, "okay honey." Erin's mother Gael was waiting in the doorway when Bill and Erin pulled into her driveway. "Come on in you two. I'll make us some tea and we can talk." After making their tea, Gael said, "Bill, how much do you know about ancient Irish history?" "Nothing really. I've never paid much mind to it." "I'm not surprised. Most people don't. It's a difficult subject. Very little of it's actually recorded. Most of it's passed from parent to child. But both your mother and father were Irish. Didn't they tell you any of the ancient stories?" "Sure, but that's all they were, just stories, myths, and legends. They kinda went in one ear and out the other." Gael smiled sadly. "Such a shame. This is exactly how so much of our history gets lost. You're Banba's father. I know you're worried about her. So I'm gonna tell you a little about Irish history and the clan MacCarthy. Hopefully you'll gain some insight as to why this trip is so important to her. This line of the clan MacCarthy can trace it's roots all the way back to the Tuatha Dé Danann, the people of the Goddess Danu. They ruled Ireland from 1897 B.C. to 1700 B.C. They landed at the Connaught coastline emerging from a great mist. The rulers of Ireland at the time were the Fir Bolg. They were led by Eochid, son of Erc who was unhappy about the arrival of the Tuatha Dé Danann. The Tuatha Dé Danann won the battle with the Fir Bolg. They allowed the Fir Bolg to remain in Connaught while the victors ruled the rest of Ireland. They had four great talismans that demonstrated their power. The first was the The Lia Fáil. Better known as the Stone of Destiny which would scream when touched by a true King of Ireland. It sits on the Hill of Tara, the seat of the High Kings of Ireland. The second was the the Sword of Light. It was brought to Ireland by Nuada. No one ever escaped once it was drawn against them The third was Lugh's Spear. Lugh used it to kill his Formorian grandfather, king Balor at the Second Battle of Moytura. It was a long, fiery lance from which sparks as big as eggs flew. In order to prevent the flames of the tip from consuming the shaft and the warrior holding it, the spear head was dipped into a cauldron of mysterious liquid. The final talisman was the 'Cauldron of Daghda' from which an endless supply of food issued. The first leader of the Tuatha was Nuada. He lost an arm in battle. It was decreed that because he wasn't whole, he couldn't be king. Breas, a tribesman of Fomorian descent became king. His seven year rule wasn't a happy one. His people became disenchanted with hunger and dissent. Nuada was installed as King when his lost arm was replaced with one made from silver. Breas raised an army of Fomorians. They fought against Nuada at Moytura in County Sligo. The Tuatha won the battle. The victory had cost the Tuatha their King. Nuada died in the battle. Lugh was instated as the new King of Ireland. The Tuatha Dé Danann dealt more subtly with the Fomorians than with the Fir Bolg, giving them the province of Connacht. There was also some marrying between the two races. During the invasion by the Melesians, the Tuatha Dé Danann were defeated. A small group of twenty five couples escaped, traveling southeast to what is now called County Cork. They remained hidden for several years then spread out among the different villages throughout Ireland. Although they had spread out, they always knew where every couple was. Each couple made sure that their son or daughter married within the circle of the original twenty five couples. Over time, the direct descendants of the original twenty five couples numbered in the tens of thousands. It wasn't always possible to keep the bloodline pure. Although some of us have still managed to do so. In 428 A.D. Dearbhal, a high priestess to the goddess Banba, tried to warn high king Dathi about a danger to his kingdom. The high king became enraged drawing his sword killing Dearbhal. Dearbhal's husband Cearul took their infant daughter Ashling and fled to Scotland. Seventeen years later Ashling was the first woman of this MacCarthy line to make the pilgrimage back to Ireland to honor her murdered mother. Almost every MacCarthy woman in her direct line has done the same ever since. The two that refused died on their eighteenth birthday. The goddess Banba herself took revenge on high king Dathi by killing him with a lightning bolt in the Alps a couple of months after Dearbhal's murder. Banba knows she bears the goddess's name. But we've never spoken to her about any of this. We're forbidden to do so. The decision to make the pilgrimage had to be her's alone. You needn't worry about her. She'll be guided and protected by other direct descendants of the original twenty five couples from the Tuatha Dé Danann. She'll get to meet some fascinating people, see some amazing sights, and learn a great deal about her heritage. She'll have a wonderful time and in a few weeks be back home safe and sound." Before Bill could say anything, the doorbell rang. Gael said, "go let your mother in in Bill. She has a few things to talk to you about too." ****** Banba's plane landed at Cork international airport at eleven thirty five in the morning local time. The six and a half hour flight combined with the five hour time difference gave her a good case of jet lag. She was tired and hungry. But most of all, she was excited to finally be in her ancestral homeland. As she waited for her luggage, someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned to see a girl about her own age with the same long red hair and emerald green eyes standing beside her. "Welcome home Banba. I'm Aileen MacAuliffe. I'm to be your guide for your pilgrimage. You must be tired and hungry after that long flight. Why don't we grab a bite to eat and talk a bit before we drive up to the Blarney Castle?" Banba didn't understand why, but she felt an instant bond with Aileen. It felt like they were two long lost sisters finally meeting for the first time. She grabbed her luggage then said, "it's nice to meet you Aileen. I wasn't expecting anyone to meet me. But I'm glad you're here. I know I'm supposed to touch the Blarney Stone with my ring. But I have no idea where to go or what to do after that." "We can talk about all that later. We've got plenty of time. Let's get you something to eat first. Are you in the mood for anything special?" As Banba tossed her luggage in the trunk of Aileen's car she said, "anything but fast food. Is there a decent restaurant nearby?" Aileen grinned as they drove out of the airport. "There's a nice family restaurant a few kilometers up the road. The food is great! It's my favorite place to eat, and it's on the way to the Blarney Castle." "Sounds good to me. How did you know I was coming, and how did you find me so easily in that crowd?" "You bear the goddess's name, but you've yet to receive her gifts Banba. Once you do, you'll understand. The true descendants of the Tuatha Dé Danann always recognize another true descendant." She laughed and said, "if there had been another one there coming from America, I would have had you paged. But you were the only one. The goddess watches over her own Banba. She knew you were coming. She told me when and where to meet you." As they ate Aileen told Banba about the Tuatha Dé Danann and the goddess that Banba was named after. She also told her about Dearbhal's murder and how Ashling made the first pilgrimage. They finished eating. As they got in the car, Aileen said, "we'll talk more after you've finished at the Blarney Castle. It's just a few kilometers up the road." When they got to the top of the tower at the castle, there wasn't anyone else there. Aileen told Banba how to tilt her head to see the Blarney stone. Banba turned her ring so that the stone in it was facing her palm. Then with Aileen's help, kissed the Blarney stone touching her ring against it at the same time. She noticed that both the Blarney Stone and the stone in her ring glowed softly as they touched. As Banba was pulling herself back up, the Blarney Stone rang three times. Each ding a little higher and a little louder than the one before it. The final ding almost as loud as a church bell. Aileen looked at Banba in shock. "The stone sang to you! I was told it could happen and that if it did, a special destiny awaits you. I don't know what that means Banba, but I've got to get you to Carrigrohane castle as fast as I can!" "I don't understand Aileen. What's going on?" "I don't know Banba. I only know what I was told. Come on, we have to get out of here now!" When they got to Carrigrohane castle, Banba said, "it's just some ruins. What's so special about them?" "Do you have your coin with you?" "Yes." "Go toss it in the river." As soon as Banba's coin hit the water, she dropped to her knees, the words coming unbidden to her lips. "My goddess, the soil is soaked with the blood of the many. The air is putrid with the smell of death. The land is not whole. Your people are still killing each other. Will your thirst for vengeance never be sated? I offer you my heart, my soul, my very life, if it will quench your thirst. Take my life my goddess, make your land whole again!" Aileen watched in awe as the Claiomh Solais appeared from the river. "The Sword of Light! I thought it was just a myth," she exclaimed. Banba grasped the sword pointing it towards her chest. She raised it as high as she could fully intending to run herself through with it. She plunged it down. But just as the point touched her chest her hand froze, unable to move any further. Aileen stepped to Banba's side. "The goddess doesn't want your life Banba. She only wants your willingness to give it. You've proven that to her. You can lower the sword now." Banba laid the sword across her lap bowing her head. "My goddess, I am forever your humble servant. Do with me as you will." She grabbed the sword by the hilt as she stood. Pulling her arm back as far as she could, she flung the sword towards the River Lee. The sword did a slow lazy spin over the water then returned to Banba's hand as a scabbard appeared at her side hanging from a chain belt around her waist. Aileen giggled softly. "I guess that means the goddess wants you to keep it Banba." "Yeah, but I don't know what I'm gonna do with it. I can't pack it in my luggage and they're not about to let me on a plane with it hanging from my side." She sheathed the sword, then suddenly started laughing. "Oh wow! That's sooo cool!" Aileen looked at Banba in confusion. "What in the world are you taking about?" "The sword. It's gone right?" Aileen realized the sword had disappeared from Banba's side. "Yeah it's gone. But where did it go?" Banba held out her hand grinning as the sword reappeared in her hand and the scabbard at her side. "Nowhere. It disappears when I sheath it and reappears when I summon it." Aileen laughed. "You're right, that is cool!" She glanced at her watch. "Shit! It's after three thirty! We've been here for over three hours! It doesn't seem that long. let's get you checked into your hotel." "Three hours! Are you sure? It only seems like twenty minutes or so. I didn't book a hotel. We'll have to grab whatever is available." Aileen gave a small curtsy. "Not to worry M'lady. You're booked into the Imperial Hotel Penthouse Suite for the next three nights. It's all been taken care of along with whatever room service you may desire. The goddess takes care of her own. Remember?" Banba shook her head laughing. "Okay. Lead on girlfriend!" As they drove to the hotel, Aileen noticed that Banba had changed. She had a very commanding presence and and air of quiet dignity about her that wasn't there before. Banba wasn't the shy, timid, young girl that Aileen had met a few hours ago. She was a self confident, self assured, young woman that Aileen found herself admiring. As they parked the car Banba asked, "will you stay with me? I really don't wanna spend the next three nights alone." "Of course I'll stay with you. We have a lot to talk about." Aileen grabbed Banba's luggage from the trunk. "Please allow me to carry this for you Banba." "For heaven's sake Aileen. I can carry my own luggage." "Of course you can. But it's not proper for you to do so anymore. You'll understand why soon enough Banba. For now, please allow me to do what I think is right." "Okay, go ahead and carry it." The penthouse suite was huge with two bedrooms and a full bathroom. It had a kitchenette, and a dining, living room combination. All the rooms opened onto a magnificent wrap around balcony. Banba was amazed. "Wow! It's like a whole house in here!" Aileen giggled. "Yeah it is. I don't know who's paying for it. But I'm glad it's not us! This suite must cost a small fortune." There was a knock on the door. Aileen answered it. She was shocked to see her mother standing there with a suitcase in her hand. "Mom! Is something wrong? Why are you here?" "No sweetie. Nothing's wrong. It's just that I'm told you're gonna need this," Danann said, handing Aileen the suitcase. Aileen giggled. "Oh my god! I left in such a hurry this morning I totally forgot it! Thanks mom. Come on in. I'll introduce you to Banba." When she was introduced to Banba, Danann gasped in surprise. "My stars child! You've only been here a few hours! I can see the goddess has already blessed you! Not only that, you look just like your mother. I was Erin's guide when she came for her pilgrimage many years ago. I remember her well." Aileen looked at Danann in shock. "Mom! Stop! You know we're not supposed to talk about those we guide! Their pilgrimage is a highly personal and very private matter!" "Calm down Aileen. I would never reveal the details of Erin's pilgrimage. I know better than that. I only said I was her guide and that Banba looked just like her mother." The Pilgrimage Ch. 01 Aileen sighed. "I'm sorry mom. You're right. You didn't say anything out of line. It's just that this is my first time being a guide. I don't wanna make any mistakes." "Stop trying so hard. Enjoy your new friend's company. The goddess won't let you make any mistakes sweetie." Banba spoke up. "I'm gonna call room service for some snacks and a bottle of Zinfandel. Would you join us Danann?" "A glass of red wine does sound lovely. Unfortunately it goes right to my head and I'm driving. Some other time perhaps. I still have a few things to do." She gave Aileen a kiss on the cheek. "Relax and enjoy yourself sweetie. It was nice meeting you Banba." Banba called room service ordering the wine, and two snack platters. One with various cheeses and crackers the other with different vegetables and some dip. Aileen grinned. "Thank you Banba." "For what?" "For getting rid of my mother. She would have stayed and gabbed for hours. She loves Zinfandel. But she was telling the truth. One glass and she would have been bombed. She would've been stuck here all night. That's why she left so quick." "I wasn't trying to get rid of her. I was just being polite. The wine and snack trays weren't exactly my idea. I'm supposed to help the person who brings them. But I'm not sure how." "Trust the goddess Banba. She'll tell you what you need to know when you need to know it." The food was brought by a man in his mid thirties. As he rolled the cart in to the room Banba said in a voice that wasn't quite her own, "Galen Hurley, your daughter Teagan needs you. Go to her right now. Bring her to me. I'll make sure the staff doesn't even realize you're gone." Galen stuttered, "wa, wa, what do you mean?" "Do as I say Galen! Go NOW!" Any hesitation Galen had disappeared. He turned running out of the room. Aileen looked at Banba in shock. "Where did that voice come from? What's going on Banba?" "What voice? What are you talking about?" "When you spoke to Galen your voice was different. Like someone was speaking through you." "Oh that. The goddess gave my voice a little push to get Galen moving. He's a single father. His wife was killed in an accident a few years ago. His daughter Teagan was in the car at the time. The accident left her paralyzed from the waist down. She's thirteen now and able to get around in her wheelchair pretty good. She stays at home alone while Galen works here part time. Somehow her wheelchair tipped over. She's laying on the floor with her wheelchair on top of her unable to get up." "Okay, I get that part. But why did you tell him to bring her here?" "Teagan has been petitioning the goddess for a few months. The goddess has decided to answer Teagan's petition." "Are you saying you're gonna heal her?" "I'm not. But the goddess might. It all depends on what Teagan and her father say when they get here." "What if Galen decides not to bring Teagan?" "Oh he'll bring her all right. He may not understand why he's doing it. But that won't matter." When the knock on the door came, Aileen opened it and a nervous Teagan rolled herself into the room followed by a confused Galen. When Teagan saw Banba, her eyes lit up like it was Christmas morning. "You're the girl from my dream. Are you really gonna help me walk again?" "The goddess has heard your petition Teagan. I'm here to give you her answer. But the goddess asks something in return." Banba gave Teagan a small scented candle. "All the goddess asks is that on the first day of every month you light this candle and say thank you for her gift." Teagan smiled. "Is that all the goddess wants? I promise I'll never ever forget to thank her!" Banba looked over at Galen. "Is that okay with you?" "Do you have another candle? If Teagan walks out of this room, I'll not only light it on the first of every month, I'll accept your goddess as my patron goddess for the rest of my life!" Banba handed him a candle. "Never forget what you just said. Because I assure you the goddess won't." Banba took Teagan's hand. "Come on Teagan. It's time for you to go for a walk with your dad!" Teagan stood with tears of joy streaming down her cheeks hugging Banba as she whispered, "thank you Lady Banba." She held up her candle. "I promise I'll never forget, not even once!" When Teagan stood, Galen fell to his knees sobbing. "Thank you! I'll never forget my promise either!" Teagan actually ran to her father. "Look daddy! I can walk again!" "I know baby girl!" He turned to Banba. "how can I ever thank you? There are no words that can describe how I feel right now!" "Don't thank me, thank our goddess. Oh, and take the wheelchair with you. Teagan doesn't need it anymore, but I'm sure you can find someone who does." When they were gone, Aileen wiped the tears from her own eyes as she hugged Banba. "One day and I can already see guiding you is gonna be an emotional roller coaster Lady Banba!" "What's up with this Lady Banba stuff?" "I don't know. It just feels...right." "Maybe to you. To me it just feels weird," Banba giggled. They spent the next couple of hours talking, munching on the snacks, and sipping wine. Aileen knew the effect the wine would have on her. One glass lowered her inhibitions. Two glasses, she was ready to fuck anything that moved. Three glasses? Well if she made it to three glasses, she usually ended up fingering herself to several orgasms before she could sleep. She didn't know what effect the wine would have on Banba. Aileen had tried to coast as much as she could. But she was already starting on her third glass of wine and was horny as hell. Aileen glanced a Banba and could see that the wine was having the same effect on Banba as it did on her. But the look of confusion on Banba's face told Aileen that Banba had no clue what was happening to her body or what to do about it. "What's wrong Banba?" "I... um...I don't know. I feel...funny. My whole body feels hot and tingly. My...my...my nipples are so hard they hurt...and...and... I think I peed myself. My panties are soaked." Aileen asked softly, "You mean you've never touched yourself down there?" "Down where? What are you talking about Aileen?" "Are you a virgin Banba?" Banba blushed furiously. "Of course I'm a virgin! What does that have to do with anything?" "That's what I thought. Banba...sweetie, what you're feeling right now, it's a natural thing. You didn't pee in your panties. Your pussy is leaking juices and your nipples are hard because you're horny. Your body's telling you that you need to either masturbate or fuck someone." "Ma, ma, masturbate? I don't know how to do that. I've never even kissed anyone so I don't know how to do that fucking thingy either. What do I do Aileen? Can you help me please? It's driving my crazy." Aileen was bisexual and had enjoyed making love with a half dozen women. There was no hesitation in her answer. "Of course I'll help you sweetie. I'll teach you everything you need to know. But let's take a shower first. Okay?" "Together?" "Sure. Why not? That's the best way to start learning about your body sweetie." Aileen kicked off her sandals then stood pulling her tee shirt off tossing it on the floor. She wiggled out of her tight jeans kicking them across the floor. Aileen reached behind her unhooking her bra tossing it aside. She hooked her thumbs in her soaked panties pulling them down stepping out of them. Aileen picked up her soaked panties waving them under Banba's nose. "Come on girlfriend, get undressed. You can't take a shower with your clothes on." Banba stood stepping out of her sneakers. She grabbed the bottom of her tee shirt then said, "promise me you won't laugh." "Sweetie, I would never laugh at you. I promise." Banba hesitantly pulled her tee shirt off then quickly covered her tits with both hands. "I'm almost flat chested Aileen. I don't have beautiful boobs like yours." Aileen pushed Banba's hands to the side. She cupped Banba's tiny tits running her thumbs across Banba's inch long, diamond hard nipples causing Banba to gasp with surprise then moan softly with pleasure. "Sweetie, I think your tits are beautiful. I can't wait to get my mouth on those scrumptious nipples! In fact I think I'll try one right now!" Aileen bent her head popping one of Banba's swollen nipples in her mouth. She swirled her tongue around it then sucked gently as Banba moaned in ecstasy. Aileen bit down lightly, tugging on Banba's diamond like nipple with her teeth. Banba grabbed Aileen's shoulders holding on to her for support as her legs nearly gave way and Banba had her first ever orgasm. "Wa, wa, what was that Aileen?" Aileen giggled. "You lucky bitch! You can cum just from having your nipples sucked! That was an orgasm sweetie. It was only a small one." She slapped Banba's ass causing Banba to squeal with surprise. "Come on, get the rest of your clothes off so we can have some real fun!" Banba's eyes got huge as she yanked her jeans and panties down at the same time kicking them across the floor. "You call THAT a small one? It felt like every muscle in my body was going crazy! I almost fell on my ass," she giggled. Aileen noticed that other than her head, there wasn't a single hair anywhere on Banba's body. "That little thing was just an appetizer sweetie. Wait until we get to the main course. You'll see what I mean." She ran her fingertips over Banba's bald pussy lips a few times causing Banba to moan loudly. "God! Your pussy's so smooth. There isn't even any razor stubble on it." "There wouldn't be any razor stubble. I've never had to shave it. The hair never grew. My mom says I'm lucky." "You are lucky. I hate shaving. It's a real pain in the ass. I only do it because I like how it feels when I'm done. Besides, a bald pussy drives most guys wild. Some women too. There's nothing I love more than running my tongue all over a bald little pussy." Banba blushed then giggled. "Okay, you win. Let's get this shower thing over with so we can start having fun." Aileen grabbed a couple of loofahs, a bottle of body wash. and a bottle of scented bath oil out of her suitcase. "No sweetie, the fun's gonna start IN the shower." The bath was perfect for what Aileen had in mind. The tub was huge with a long safety rail along the side. It had both fixed and hand held shower heads with separate controls. There was even a shower seat running across the back end. She handed Banba a loofah then set the body wash and bath oil on the side of the tub. Aileen set the fixed shower to a comfortable temperature. She stepped in the tub pulling Banba in with her. Aileen squirted some body wash on both loofahs, then began gently washing Banba's neck and shoulders. Banba quickly got the idea and followed suit. A few minutes later Banba was first to lower her loofah to Aileen's succulent tits. Banba loved the way Aileen's tits looked and felt. They were perfectly round, full, firm C cups that sat high on Aileen's chest with silver dollar sized areolae, and big, puffy, pink nipples that stood out proudly. Banba gently caressed and squeezed Aileen's delectable C cups. This time it was Aileen who followed suit. Soon both girls were panting and moaning. They worked their way down each others bellies gently washing and caressing as they went. When Banba tried to slide her loofah between Aileen's legs, Aileen whimpered and said, "no not there yet." She wrapped her arms around Banba pulling her in closer gently washing Banba's back with her loofah. As Banba followed Aileen's lead, Aileen leaned in kissing Banba softly. Banba returned the kiss timidly at first. But as Aileen gently probed Banba's lips with her tongue, Banba parted her lips letting Aileen's tongue dance with hers. When Aileen shifted her lips to deepen the kiss, she reached down grabbing both Banba's ass cheeks squeezing and kneading the firm flesh. Banba moaned hungrily against Aileen's lips as she did the same to the firm flesh of Aileen's scrumptious ass. Their kiss turned into an ageless duel of passion as they both moaned and whimpered against each others lips. When they finally broke the kiss and came up for air, Aileen pointed to the shower seat gasping, "sit Banba." As Banba sat Aileen knelt at Banba's feet. She took one of Banba's legs and starting at Banba's feet slowly, gently washed and caressed her way up Banba's leg to the top of her thigh. Banba was moaning and whimpering for more. Aileen smiled softly, "not yet sweetie, but soon." She grabbed Banba's other leg once again slowly washing and caressing her way to the top of Banba's thigh. Aileen grabbed the hand held shower setting it for pulse aiming it at Banba's swollen clit. Banba's shriek of surprise was stifled as a massive orgasm ripped through her body like a tornado tearing through a house. Quake upon quake of orgasmic pleasure rocked her whole body. Her pussy spasming, her abdomen convulsing. She nearly passed out from a massive orgasm that wouldn't stop. "Aileen, please, stop...I need to stop cumming...oh shit...I can't stop... please..." She was begging. Another series of orgasmic convulsions hit her. "Oh shit...I'm cumming again! Oh my god...oh shit...it's too much...Aileen, please...let me come down..." she managed to gasp between orgasms. Aileen turned the hand shower off. Then cradled Banba's head on her shoulder gently rubbing Banba's back, as Banba's whole body twitched and quivered for several long minutes. When her orgasm subsided enough for Banba to talk, she said, "now I understand what you meant when you said that first orgasm was just a little one. God, that was exquisite torture," she giggled. Aileen grinned. "I would think so. You came like a freight train. I've never seen anyone cum so hard, or have so many orgasms in such a short time before." Banba stood pointing to the shower seat. "Your turn to be tortured Aileen." She knelt in front of Aileen closing her eyes for a minute or so. Aileen's eyes widened with surprise as Banba's whole body took on a soft golden glow. Banba opened her eyes smiling. "Okay, I'm ready now. You're gonna love this Aileen." Banba grabbed one of Aileen's legs. But instead of using a loofah she began licking and kissing the bottom of Aileen's foot. Aileen giggled. "Ooh that tickles Banba." Banba's eyes sparkled with mischief as she sucked one of Aileen's toes into her mouth swirling her tongue all around it. She did the same to each of Aileen's toes as Aileen moaned. "God Banba, that's sooo fucking hot! Nobody's ever done that to me before." Banba kissed and licked her way up Aileen's leg occasionally stopping to lightly nip the shapely flesh of Aileen's calf and thigh. When Banba reached the top of Aileen's thigh, she turned her head slightly. Using two fingers, she held Aileen's soaked pussy lips open blowing gently into Aileen's tight cunt and across Aileen's swollen clit. Aileen gasped then began moaning and whimpering. In between moans and whimpers, she managed to gasp out, "What...did...you...do...It...feels...like...my...pussy's...being...fucked...and...and...licked...too." Banba grinned mischievously. "it's just a little gift." Aileen slid her magnificent ass forward, her hips bucking, her head turning from side to side, her long red hair whipping back and forth as her moans and whimpers turned into a constant wail. Suddenly Aileen froze with her sexy ass high in the air. She let out a deep guttural scream as stars exploded behind her eyes and her orgasm crashed over her like a tsunami crashing onto a beach. Aileen's whole body seemed to spasm in delight as that feeling of release washed through her. It was a full body climax that had every muscle convulsing, every nerve end firing with pleasure. Aileen slumped back on the seat, her head thrown back as she gasped for air. Banba pulled Aileen forward resting Aileen's head on her shoulder nuzzling her neck and gently rubbing Aileen's back as Aileen's orgasm slowly subsided and her breathing returned to normal. Aileen sat back looking at Banba. "That was incredible! It was the most intense orgasm I've ever had! I thought I was supposed to be teaching you," she giggled. "You are. But that was a gift from the goddess herself. She wanted to reward you for your loyalty to her and for giving me so much pleasure. From now on all your orgasms will be like that." "Are you serious? Every time I cum it's gonna be like that?" "Banba grinned mischievously. "Yup. But that's not the only gift the goddess has given you tonight." Aileen gave Banba a quizzical look. "What do you mean? What else did she give me? "Run your fingers lightly over your pussy lips." Aileen's eyes widened with surprise. "The razor bumps are gone!" "Now do the same to your legs and arm pits." Aileen giggled. "There isn't any razor stubble anywhere! Good! I won't have to shave again for a few more days." "You won't have to shave again EVER! I've saved the best gift for last. The goddess knows how horny you can get. She doesn't want you getting sick. So she's made you immune to all sicknesses and diseases and you won't have to worry about getting pregnant either. No man can get you pregnant unless you want him to. Now you can fuck like a rabbit all you want and enjoy her gifts." Aileen dropped to her knees in front of Banba closing her eyes, thanking the goddess for the gifts. She opened her eyes pulling Banba in for a hug. nibbling on Banba's ear as she whispered, "that wasn't all the goddess's idea was it Banba? You petitioned her didn't you? You little minx." Banba giggled. "Well, I might have mentioned something to the goddess about it." Aileen nuzzled Banba's neck, the tip of her hot tongue grazing the supple flesh. "I thought so. Thank you." She stood grabbing Banba's hand. "Now let's go to bed and really have some fun," she giggled. They sat in the middle of the bed with their legs folded under them facing each other. They both giggled. Banba said, "So, what do we do now Aileen?" Aileen thought for a minute. She took both of Banba's hands in hers looking into Banba's eyes. "All I know right now is that I want you so bad it hurts. I'm nervous as hell. Let's just play it by ear and let nature take it's course. Okay?" Leaning in, Aileen gave Banba a quick kiss on the lips. You could almost hear the electricity crackle when their lips touched. Banba moaned softly against Aileen's lips. "I'm not just nervous Aileen, I'm a little scared too. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this with anybody. The goddess knows how we feel. She wants us to relax and enjoy each other. But we have to be careful not to accidentally pop my cherry. I don't know why, but if my hymen breaks, I can't complete my pilgrimage." Aileen giggled. "Well I guess that means we can't play with the toys I brought along. That's okay though, there's still plenty we can do that won't pop your cherry." Aileen leaned in kissing Banba softly again. Banba returned the kiss timidly again. But as Aileen gently probed Banba's lips with her tongue, Banba parted her lips letting Aileen's tongue dance with hers. When Aileen shifted her lips to deepen the kiss, Banba grabbed the back of Aileen's head, her fingers tangling in Aileen's long red tresses. Their tongues entwined in an ancient duel that became almost feral in it's passion leaving both of them completely breathless when they finally broke the kiss coming up for air. Aileen laid on her back pulling Banba down on top of her. Banba, being guided by her goddess, nibbled on Aileen's ear, then kissed softly down Aileen's neck, leaving a long wet trail behind her, as she worked her way down to Aileen's ample bosom. Aileen ran her fingers gently through Banba's long, red hair moaning softly. "God, Banba, that feels sooo fucking good." The Pilgrimage Ch. 01 Banba gently kissed and licked Aileen's scrumptious tits. She took one of Aileen's hard, swollen nipples in her mouth sucking on it hungrily. Banba squeezed and caressed both of Aileen's big tits as she moved her mouth back and forth from one nipple to the other. Aileen moaned loudly squeezing and caressing the firm flesh of Banba's tight little ass. Banba began kissing, licking and nibbling her way down Aileen's flat toned belly. Aileen slid her hands under Banba's armpits, pulling Banba back up. "I don't wanna cum yet. It's my turn to tease you a bit." Aileen gave Banba a long passionate kiss. Then she rolled over pinning Banba underneath her. Aileen nibbled on Banba's ear lobe causing Banba to moan loudly. Aileen kissed and nibbled Banba's neck. She slowly and sensuously nibbled down Banba's neck to Banba's tiny tits. Aileen nibbled on Banba's swollen, diamond hard nipples making Banba moan and gasp. "Oh God, Aileen that feels sooo good. My poor little pussy's soaking wet." They became two young lovers exploring each others bodies for the very first time, constantly seeking out new places to lick, kiss, nip, squeeze, or caress, just to hear the other moan in pleasure. They both had the same ultimate goal in mind. To give her partner as much pleasure as possible, to slowly bring her to a huge, mind blowing, body convulsing orgasm. They changed positions often. They went from one being on top, to lying on their sides kissing each other passionately while squeezing, and caressing each others tits, alternately tribbing on the others thigh. When they felt that sweet, bubbling sensation of an impending orgasm, their lovemaking would become soft and sensuous again as they let their passion subside a little, prolonging their mutual pleasure until they couldn't stand the gentle teasing anymore. Finally Aileen groaned, "get on your hands and knees. I'm dying to taste your sweet juices." Banba moaned. "Oh god yeah Aileen. I really need to feel your tongue all over my pussy right now." Banba got on all fours. Her tight little ass sticking high in the air. Her puffy pussy pushing out between her legs pouting, as if begging for Aileen's hot, wet tongue. Aileen got behind Banba gently caressing Banba's sexy little ass cheeks. She kissed and licked the small of Banba's back lightly running her fingers up and down Banba's slit from her asshole to the top of her soaked cunt, sensuously teasing Banba, making her moan and squirm with pleasure. Aileen slowly licked Banba from the top of her sexy ass crack down to her swollen clit using long, sensuous strokes with the flat of her tongue. Aileen dragged her tongue along Banba's outer lips, pressing in lightly as she went, making Banba moan and gasp every time Aileen's tongue swept over Banba's throbbing clit. Banba moaned constantly. She was panting like a dog on a hot summer day. She felt the pressure building deep in her throbbing pussy. She knew her orgasm was getting close. She sucked in a deep breath. "Aileen stop. I don't wanna cum yet. Let's switch places. It's your turn to have a little fun." Aileen got on her hands and knees. Banba kissed, licked, and nibbled Aileen's gorgeous ass. Banba ran her fingers up and down Aileen's soaking wet slit, not penetrating Aileen's outer lips, just teasing Aileen, making her moan loudly. Banba slid two fingers in Aileen's soaked pussy dragging them around the inside of Aileen's tight cunt until Aileen's hips jerked hard. Banba smiled to herself. She knew she'd found what the goddess sent her looking for. She'd found Aileen's G spot. Aileen moaned loudly bucking her hips. "Oh my god Banba, that feels sooo fucking good." Banba bent forward rimming Aileen's tight asshole with the tip of her tongue while running her thumb over Aileen's swollen clit, as she stimulated Aileen's G spot with the two fingers in Aileen's soaked tight cunt . Aileen moaned loud panting heavily. She screamed out, "Oh my god Banba. Please stop. I've gotta pee. I'm gonna pee all over the bed if you don't stop." Banba giggled. "Trust me Aileen. You're not gonna pee. You're just getting ready to squirt. Just relax and let it happen. The goddess says you'll love it." Banba yanked her two fingers out of Aileen's tight, satiny slick cunt causing Aileen's soaked pussy to spasm, squirting Aileen's sweet nectar everywhere as a massive orgasm hit her like a freight train. Aileen collapsed face first on the bed as wave after wave of orgasmic bliss washed over her. Every muscle in her body convulsed. Her eyes rolled. She fought for air as her breaths came in short shallow pants. It took almost two minutes for Aileen's shaking and twitching to stop and her breathing to return to normal. "Oh my god Banba! I squirted! I've never done that before. I didn't even think it was possible. I thought it was just a myth made up by some horny porn guy." Aileen giggled. "You weren't kidding when you said my orgasms were gonna be intense. I thought I was gonna pass out from pleasure. I think that orgasm was even more intense than the one I had in the shower!" Aileen sat up. "Okay Banba, it's your turn now. Show me how the fuck you did that." Banba giggled, got on her hands and knees and said, "it's easy. Slide two fingers into my pussy and feel around for a little bump on the front wall. When you find it, just curl your fingers back and forth over it like your telling me to come here, apply a little pressure and you're good to go. Just be careful not to break my hymen." Aileen slid two fingers into Banba's soaked pussy dragging them around the tight ring of muscle until Banba's hips jerked hard. Aileen giggled. "Oh I think I found it, didn't I Banba?" Banba moaned and gasped, "oh yeah, you found it! Right there sweetie. That's the spot. Oh my god! That feels sooo fucking good. Oh god Aileen, whatever you do, don't stop." Aileen slid her other hand under Banba, cupping Banba's mound and pushing up hard against the two fingers inside Banba's tight soaked cunt. Aileen giggled and said, " how does this feel Banba?" Banba's breathing was erratic, in between gasps she managed to say, " oh god...oh fuck...oh...oh...oh fuck me...I'm cumming!" Banba's sweet nectar was squirting everywhere soaking Aileen's face and running down her big beautiful tits. Aileen rammed her fingers back into Banba's spasming cunt pumping them in and out a few more times, then quickly pulled them out causing Banba to squirt again. Banba's orgasm washed over her like a tidal wave washing over a beach. As her orgasm peaked, her eyes rolled back into her head, every muscle in her body shook and quivered, and her breaths came in short strangled gasps. When Banba finally caught her breath, she turned to Aileen and gave her a long passionate tongue dueling, spit swapping kiss. "Wow Aileen, you learn fast!" Aileen giggled. "Well what do you expect, my teacher learned that one from the goddess herself. If you think that was fun wait until we try this one. I saw this in one of the porn movies my dad keeps hidden in his room I've always wanted to try it." Aileen turned so that she was facing directly away from Banba, interlocking their legs in a position similar to scissors pressing their vulvae together. They began tribbing again. They were humping up and down grinding their engorged clits together, moaning loud and panting heavily. They were syncing their movements and fucking each other fast and hard. Banba was the first to cum. She let out a long wailing scream and said, "oh fuck Aileen, I'm cumming!" Her whole body shook as she slammed her vulva up against Aileen's. Banba's tight cunt was spasming hard, every muscle in her body was shaking and twitching. Her breaths were coming in short rapid gasps and she nearly passed out from the pleasure. Banba's orgasm was enough to send Aileen over the orgasmic cliff. She screamed out, "oh my fucking God, Banba, I'm gonna cum too. oh shit, oh fuck, I'm cumming!" Aileen's orgasm hit her so hard every muscle in her body was shaking and twitching. She couldn't hold herself up and, collapsed down on the bed on her back. Banba crawled up next to Aileen hugging her. She gave Aileen a soft, gentle kiss. "Oh my god Aileen. My orgasm was so intense, It nearly blew my mind." Aileen wrapped her arms around Banba kissing her gently. Then, giggled softly, "well, you weren't so bad yourself Banba. Whew, look at me. I'm still shaking from the orgasm you gave me." They made love for hours, exploring and using each other unabashedly. Freely giving their body to the other in any way they desired, seeking and giving pleasure equally, both dominating and submitting as they chose, focusing only on the needs of the other until they were both spent and satisfied. It was well after midnight before they were both finally sated. They fell asleep wrapped in each others arms. As they sat eating breakfast the next morning there was a knock on the door. Aileen opened it to a very distraught Teagan. The tears were streaming down Teagan's cheeks and she was shaking like a leaf in a wind storm. Teagan rushed past Aileen and knelt at Banba's feet placing her head in Banba's lap as she sobbed hysterically. Aileen closed the door giving Banba a quizzical look. Banba shrugged. "I don't know Aileen. We have to calm Teagan down to find out." Banba gently pulled Teagan's head from her lap. " Teagan I can't help you until you stop crying and tell me what's wrong." Teagan took several deep breaths forcing herself to calm down a little. "I'm sorry Lady Banba. I don't know where else to turn. My friend Megan was raped and badly beaten. She's in the hospital. They don't think she's gonna make it. Can you please help her?" Banba closed her eyes petitioning the goddess and asking for guidance. She kissed Teagan's forehead. "Take us to her. I can't promise anything. But I'll do what I can. If Megan wants to live, I may be able to help her. If not, there's nothing I can do." When they got to the hospital parking lot Banba said to Teagan, "take Aileen to the waiting room. The goddess is gonna take me to Megan. I'll do what I can then meet you there." Aileen and Teagan watched in awe as Banba faded away, disappearing before their eyes. Nobody noticed Banba as she appeared at the foot of Megan's bed. The goddess made sure that nobody would see or hear Banba until Banba left the ICU. When Banba saw Megan's injuries, she was both horrified and angry. "Goddess, this poor girl didn't deserve this! Please help her! Work your will through me my goddess, I beseech you!" Megan's body took on a soft golden glow as all her vital signs stabilized and began to return to normal. The doctor and nurses treating Megan watched in awe unable to fathom what was happening. They had given up hope of Megan ever recovering. One nurse looked at the doctor softly saying, "I think we're witnessing a miracle. Should we wait and see what happens or should we continue to just make her comfortable?" The doctor replied, "I honestly don't know. I've never seen anything like this before." He glanced at the monitor. "Her readings are all normal. Let's see if they stay that way. Keep a close eye on her for the next couple of hours. Then we'll see where we're going from there." Banba understood the goddess had stabilized Megan's body temporally. Now Banba had to enter Megan's mind to find out if Megan wanted to live or die. Banba felt her mind reaching out, searching for Megan's. "Megan, where are you sweetie? I know you're in here somewhere. My name's Banba. Teagan's very upset. She asked me to see if you'd let me help you." Banba heard Megan's mind answer faint and weak. "Are you the one who helped Teagan walk again?" "The goddess worked her will through me to heal Teagan. She can do the same for your body. Your mind is a different story. She can erase your memories of what happened. But if she does, you won't be the same person. Even she can't predict how that would affect your mind." "I don't want that. I don't wanna lose who I am!" "What do you want Megan?" "Vengeance! I want those assholes to pay for what they did to me!" "The only way the goddess would grant that petition is if you decide to live Megan. She sees no sense granting you vengeance if you're not around to savior her gift." Banba felt Megan's soft smile. "Your goddess plays hardball Banba. I don't know if I can deal with the horror of what they did to me. But if you promise me those bastards will pay for it, I'll do the best I can." "I can promise you that Megan! They'll be dealing with one very pissed off goddess. Her vengeance will not be gentle or humane. They'll suffer every single day of their lives. I can also promise that if you accept the goddess as your patron, she'll give you the strength and courage to deal with your memories. All she asks in return is that you light a candle on the first day of each month and thank her for her gifts. I'll give Teagan an eternal candle to hold on to for you until you're released from the hospital." "Okay I can do that. But what do I do now? How do I start?" "You don't have to do anything. Your body's healing itself as we speak. Just lie here and let your mind adjust. In an hour or so, you'll wake up completely healed without a scar or bruise anywhere. Your body will be absolutely perfect again, I promise." "Considering my body wasn't perfect before, that will be a nice change. By the way, can you please tell me the name of the goddess I have to thank for all of this?" "I guess that would help huh? I'm named after her." "Banba? That name sounds familiar. Are you talking about the ancient Celtic goddess? My god! You are aren't you? I thought she was just a myth. At least that's what my ancient history professor taught us last semester. Your being here proves just how wrong he was. I'm sorry, I should have recognized your name when Teagan told me who healed her." "It's okay Megan. Almost everyone thinks the ancient gods and goddesses are myths. They're not though. Some of them still have followers even in this day and age. Fear nothing anymore Megan. You have the protection of our goddess as long as you remember to thank her on the first day of each month. I have to go. My time with you is up. You'll be waking up soon." "I hope I get the chance to actually meet you. I'd like to thank you face to face. But just in case I don't, thank you for being here for me Banba. I'll never forget what you and our goddess have done for me today." Banba felt her mind rejoin her body. She smiled as she noticed Megan's injuries were healed. There wasn't a mark anywhere on Megan's body that Banba could see. The nurse attending Megan noticed it too and was on her way to fetch the doctor as Banba stepped into the ICU waiting room. Teagan and Aileen rushed to Banba. "How's Megan?" Teagan asked. Banba kissed Teagan on the forehead taking her by the hand leading her over to Megan's parents. "Mr. and Mrs. O'Leary, Megan's gonna be fine. She'll be waking up any time now. The doctors will probably wanna run every test in the book on her. But I assure you, they'll find nothing wrong." Megan's mother replied, "Banba is it? If I hadn't seen Teagan wearing out a rut in the carpet with her pacing back and forth, I'd probably say you were crazy. The doctor said there was no hope for Megan to recover. But seeing Teagan walk again after all those years in a wheelchair is enough to convince me that you've helped Megan too." The tears were streaming down her cheeks as she continued. "There are no words that can convey how we feel right now. Thank you seems so inadequate. We owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. If you ever need anything just ask and it's yours." "Don't thank me Mrs. O'Leary, thank the goddess who's name I bear. I'm simply an instrument of her will." "I believe you are girl. Tell me what I have to do to thank this goddess." Two Eternal candles appeared in Banba's hands. She gave one to Mrs. O'Leary. "If you want to thank her, just light this candle on the first day of each month and say thank you. This other candle is for Megan. I told Megan I'd have Teagan hold on to it for her. I'll give it to you to hold on to instead." Mrs. O'Leary replied, "that will be fine." She slipped them both into her handbag. " Aileen and I have a few things to tend to. I'm sure Teagan's gonna wanna see Megan when she wakes up. Can you see that Teagan gets home safely afterwards?" Mrs. O'Leary replied, "we'll see that Teagan gets home safely, and Banba, thank you once again." When they got to the car Aileen asked, "are we going on a vengeance quest for Megan?" " Yes. Megan was attacked because her ex boyfriend ripped off a gangs coke supply. He knew if they couldn't find him they'd take it out on Megan. He didn't care. He's our first target." Banba took Aileen's hands closing her eyes concentrating. "You now have the ability to hurl stun bolts. They're easy to use. Just point your fingers and think 'shoot'. The goddess says that Megan's ex boyfriend is still in the city." She gave Aileen the address. "I know exactly where that is. It's only a few minutes from here." "Good. When we get there, you hit him with a stun bolt. I'll do the rest." Megan's ex boyfriend was hiding in an old storefront in a seedy part of the city. He had pried the padlock off the back door in an alleyway figuring nobody would notice. It was owned by a low ranking member of the local mob who occasionally used it to hide stolen goods. But since the owner was serving a six month jail stint for petty theft, Megan's ex boyfriend felt he was perfectly safe for the time being. He felt so safe that he hadn't bothered to bar the door, just closing it behind him. He was sleeping in a room in the back on a bed the owner kept there for occasional use when Banba and Aileen caught up with him. They stood in the doorway watching him sleep for a minute or so then Banba yelled, "hey asshole, wake your stupid ass up!" He bolted upright, startled out of his sleep. "What the..." Then grinned when he saw it was only two young women. "Well what have we got here?" He chuckled as he reached under the pillow for the pistol he kept hidden there. Aileen hit him with a stun bold before his finger even touched the pistol causing him to fall back on the bed fully awake but unable to move. Banba yanked the pillow from under his head grabbing the pistol. "Only an asshole greats a woman with a gun. You really are a piece of shit. It's time for you to pay for what you did to Meagan. Don't worry, you'll be able to move in about a half hour or so." Banba tapped him on the forehead. "From now on, every waking minute, you'll feel Megan's horror and terror during her attack. Every time you sleep, you'll have nightmares about it being you. You'll have no memory of how you ended up this way or of who did it. You will never again be able to harm another person. Just the thought of it will be enough to make you vomit until you pass out." As they got back in the car, Banba smiled at Aileen. "One down eight to go. They're all partying at the crack house they used to attack Megan. When we get there, don't waste time. Just stun everybody as quickly as you can. We'll do the same thing there. They were in and out of the crack house in a little more than an hour. Megan's vengeance was complete. Once again, nobody remembered what happened or who did it. Banba had given them the same instructions about Megan's horror and the same nightmares as she gave Megan's ex boyfriend along with the same prohibition against harming others. Banba and Aileen stopped for a quick lunch. Then went to the hospital to visit Megan. The Pilgrimage Ch. 01 Banba knew that Megan had been awake for quite a while. She also knew that Megan had been moved to a private room. The hospital wanted to keep Megan overnight for observation. When they got to Megan's room, Megan jumped up running to Banba. Megan threw her arms around Banba pulling her in for a hug, kissing Banba on the cheek whispering, "I'm so glad you came. Thank you for saving me from myself." Megan stepped back taking Banba's right hand kissing it. "Lady Banba, I'm so very happy to actually meet you at last!" Banba grinned. "It's good to see you up and about! How are you feeling Megan?" "I feel better than I've ever felt in my life. But these stuffy old doctors think I could have a relapse so they're insisting I stay overnight." "They know you're not gonna relapse Megan. They're just holding on to you trying to figure out some new excuse to poke and prod at you in the hopes of figuring out why you're still alive." "Well good luck to them then," Megan giggled. "Your vengeance is complete. They'll feel your horror and terror every waking moment and have nightmares about it every time they close their eyes." A slight smile of satisfaction crossed Megan's lips. "That's more than vengeance Lady Banba. That's poetic justice." "Perhaps. But that's how it is." A policewoman knocked on the doorway. "Megan O'Leary?" Megan replied, "that's me. How can I help you officer?" "Do you mind answering a few questions about what happened to you?" "I really don't remember much but I'll try." "I see. Well just tell me what you do remember. Then we'll go from there." "I was walking to the university when I thought I heard someone walking behind me. The next thing I remember is waking up in the ICU." "You didn't turn your head to see who was behind you?" "I would assume I at least started to. I mean, I'm usually pretty careful about someone coming up behind me. But I don't remember whether I did or not." "Do you recognize any of these names?" She told Megan the names of the nine men admitted to the psych ward earlier. "I know Brandon Walsh. We dated a few times. I found out he was into drugs and stopped dating him a couple of months ago." "When was the last time you saw him?" "We have some of the same classes at the university. I usually run into him everyday. But he hasn't been attending classes lately. I think it's been maybe two weeks since I ran into him last. I heard a rumor he had joined some gang that had ripped off some big time drug dealer. But I don't know if it's true or not." "Hmm that's interesting. But you don't recognize the other eight names at all?" "No ma'am I've never heard of any of them before." "That's strange. They did a rape kit on you when you first came in. I have to wait for the DNA results to confirm it, but initial blood tests say all eight of them were involved in your rape. I'm not sure how you fit into all this. But I don't believe in coincidences. I have a feeling you're not telling me everything you know. It doesn't matter though. I'll keep plugging away until I find out the truth." Banba spoke up. "Officer Crowley how long have you been on the police force?" "What's your name girl and why do you ask?" "My name is Banba O'Connor ma'am. I asked because you're a very astute woman. You pay a lot of attention to details." "I gather you have a story to tell me Banba. Okay I'll bite. I've been on the force for almost six years now. Why?" "Do you remember hearing about a bad accident on the Lee River bridge about three years ago? A woman was killed and her ten year old daughter survived but was paralyzed from the waist down." "I remember that accident very well. I was the first one on scene. The mother was already dead when I got there. I thought we were gonna lose the girl as well. Again why?" "Do you remember the little girl's name? "Her name was Teagan Hurley. She was in a coma for weeks. I sent her flowers every few days and three different little teddy bears. What has all this got to do with anything?" Banba looked over at Teagan. "Tell officer Crowley who you are honey." Teagan stood walking over to officer Crowley. "I'm Teagan Hurley. I never got the chance to thank you for the flowers and teddy bears. I especially love the the little gray one with the pink and yellow checkered dress. It's my favorite. I keep it on the nightstand by my bed to remind me of your kindness. Would it be okay if I hugged you and said thank you now?" Officer Crowley stared at Teagan for several long seconds. "My god! It is you Teagan! But how? The doctors said you had a severed spinal cord and that you'd never walk again. Of course you can hug me sweetie!" Teagan hugged Officer Crowley. Then looked up at her saying, "I've never forgotten your kindness. Thank you so much for the flowers and the teddy bears." "You're welcome sweetie. But I still don't understand how you're walking." "I think Lady Banba can explain things better than I can. She only had me tell you who I am so that you'd realize that Megan's recovery was no fluke." "I realize that now." Officer Crowley looked at Banba. "Why do they call you Lady Banba? Are you some kind of royalty or something? How old are you anyway?" "I have no idea why they call me Lady Banba. Believe me, it feels as weird as it sounds. I'm eighteen ma'am." "Oh my god! You're a MacCarthy pilgrim? I should have guessed as much. There's something special about you though. Your name, Banba. Is that your given name?" "Yes ma'am, I'm a MacCarthy pilgrim. Banba is the name given to me by my mother at birth. You're beginning to put it together. Aren't you ma'am?" "I think so. But it's almost impossible for me to believe. I was brought up to believe that the ancient Celtic gods and goddesses were myths and legends. They were only stories to amuse or frighten children. But I'm guessing that's not entirely true. At least one of them is real and she has decided to re-engage herself in human affairs. I'd be willing to bet it's your namesake Banba, and that she's working her will through you." "I won't confirm or deny anything you've said Officer Crowley. But I can assure you that the one responsible for all these strange happenings is well beyond anyone's reach." "I thought so. Be careful Banba. The law may not be able to reach your goddess. But they will come after you if you slip up." "The law has no reason to come after me ma'am. I assure you. I have not, and will not, do anything wrong." Officer Crowley smiled. "I didn't say you did anything wrong Banba. Personally, I think the bastards got what they deserved. But if I could prove you had anything to do with it. I'd have to arrest you." "Ma'am, all I do is petition the goddess on behalf of people who need her help. I have no control over if, or how the goddess answers that petition." Officer Crowley turned to Megan. "My report will state that due to your injuries, you have no memory of your attack and rape at all." Megan shook hands with Officer Crowley. "Thank you for coming Officer Crowley. I wish I could have been of some help." "Be well Megan. May your goddess watch over you and protect you." "May she watch over and protect you too Officer Crowley." Once Officer Crowley was gone Megan said, "Lady Banba you shouldn't have put yourself in such danger for me. Officer Crowley would have asked a few more questions, got frustrated by my lack of answers and left." "I didn't put myself in any danger Megan. Officer Crowley knows a lot more than she let on. That's how she was able to recognize me as a pilgrim. Her parents may have brought her up as a strict Catholic. But her paternal grandmother is a priestess to the goddess Danu. Officer Crowley will visit her grandmother later today. There she will find the rest of the answers she seeks." "I thought you already told Officer Crowley everything. "I didn't actually tell her anything. I led her down a path and let her draw her own conclusions. She left here with more questions than answers. Somehow she knows I don't have the answers to the rest of her questions. But her grandmother does. I don't know what her grandmother is gonna tell her. But I do know by the time she leaves her grandmother's home, Officer Crowley will become a trusted ally." Mr. O'Leary spoke up. "You can count on us too Lady Banba. I apologize for not thanking you for helping Megan earlier. I saw what she looked like when they first brought her in and despite Teagan's walking, I was afraid of what we'd see when Megan woke up. I don't know anything about your goddess. But if you have another candle, I'd like to join my wife and daughter in thanking her and you for for all you've done." Another candle appeared in Banba's hand. She handed it to Mr. O'Leary. "There's no need to thank me sir. But the goddess does like to know that her gifts are appreciated." Aileen spoke up. "Lady Banba, we have to get going. It's time for you to continue your pilgrimage. We have an important stop to make before nightfall." "Okay Aileen." Banba stood kissing Megan on the cheek. "Be Well Megan. Don't forget your pledge to our goddess." Megan replied, "I won't ever forget my pledge Lady Banba. I promise you that." Banba nodded. "Okay Aileen, lead on girlfriend,"she giggled. When they got in the car Banba asked, "Where are we going Aileen?" "We're gonna visit your great aunt Brianna. She lives on a small farm about an hour's drive from here. She's a priestess to our goddess and the guardian of Ashling's tomb. The tomb is in a small grove of willow trees not far from her house. The farm was Ashling's home until she died at the age of eighty on April 5, 490. It's been owned by one of her direct descendants ever since." "I never knew I had a great aunt Brianna. Mom never mentioned her, neither did gram. I wonder why." "They couldn't. It's part of the tradition. You're not allowed to know about the farm until after you begin your pilgrimage. The tomb is a sacred site. You have to be able to understand what that means before you're allowed to visit the farm. I've been training to be a guide since I was fifteen. I've been to almost every site including Tara and Newgrange. But I wasn't even told about the farm until I turned eighteen last year. Now I visit the farm at least once a month. I love spending time with Aunt Brianna. She's in her sixties, but she's great. I know you'll love her as much as I do. I also spend a couple of hours at Ashling's tomb. I sit and talk to her, especially if I'm upset or worried about something. I always come away knowing exactly what I need to do, and feeling at peace with myself." When they got to the farm, Brianna was sitting on her porch waiting for them. "Well, it's about time you two showed up. I was beginning to wonder if you were gonna make it." Aileen replied, "Sorry we're so late Aunt Brianna. We ran into a bit of trouble in the city. We..." Brianna interrupted Aileen, "no need to explain child. I already know what happened." She turned to Banba. "My stars child! You're the spitting image of your mother! Welcome home daughter of Erie. Come on, we need to hurry to Ashling's tomb. It'll be dark soon." At Ashling's tomb, Brianna and Aileen were shocked when Banba fell to her knees, again the words coming unbidden to her lips. "Ashling, child of Dearbhal and Cearul, Daughter of Erie, Blood of my blood, I summon thee!" The tomb glowed briefly as Ashling appeared. "Blessed be! The goddess has made her choice! I've waited a very long time for this day my daughters!" She looked at Banba. "You are the chosen one my daughter. My message to you is this, with great powers comes even greater responsibility. Always be on your guard, the greater the power, the easier it is for you to be corrupted. Our goddess is extremely pleased with you Banba. You've even managed to impress the other gods and goddesses with your purity of heart and unselfish desires. They haven't seen anyone like you in thousands of years. They're beginning to line up behind you. Don't let them down by losing yourself in their gifts Banba. Keep your heart pure, your desires unselfish, and your trust in our goddess. Nothing else matters. Legend has it that the gods and goddesses were present when the Melesians defeated the Tuatha Dé Danann. But history is always written by the victors Banba. The truth is, the Tuatha Dé Danann had turned away from Danu and her daughters. So Danu and her daughters withdrew their protection, punishing the Tuatha Dé Danann by allowing the Melesians to be victorious. The goddess knows you'll make mistakes. She doesn't expect you to be perfect Banba. She only expects you to trust her and appreciate her gifts." Ashling turned to Brianna. "My time here is growing short. Thank you for bringing me fresh flowers every day. It brings me great comfort to know my legacy lives on." She turned to Aileen. "I really enjoy our little chats. I've gotten to know you pretty good over the past year. I hope what little advice I've been able to give you has brought you peace and comfort." Ashling started to fade. "I'm sorry my daughters. My time with you is up. Remember, I love you all. Banba, Aileen, and Brianna knelt in quiet contemplation for several long minutes. Then Brianna said, "come on you two. I need a stiff drink. It's time for some Irish coffee!" Aileen giggled. "Sorry Aunt Brianna. I'm driving. But I'll take a cup of plain coffee." Banba said, "red wine clouds my mind. I can't imagine what brandy would do to me. I think I'll stick with plain coffee too." Brianna replied, "okay spoilsports. You win. Plain coffee it is." As they sipped their coffee Banba asked, "Aunt Brianna, I don't understand. What did Ashling mean when she said I was the chosen one? Chosen for what? None of this makes any sense to me. I thought I was just here on a pilgrimage. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. You're a priestess. Do you understand what she meant?" "I understand exactly what Ashling meant Lady Banba. But I'm not allowed to explain it all to you. The goddess herself will tell you what you need to know when the time comes. Come back here in two days and I'll explain what I can. But don't worry about it right now. Just allow Aileen to continue to guide you on your pilgrimage. It will prepare you for the wondrous destiny that awaits you." TO BE CONTINUED... As usual comments are always welcome and appreciated. The Pilgrimage Ch. 02 Author's notes: I realize chapter one was way too fast. Hopefully this one's a little better. You'll notice I had to change the M.C.'s name about halfway through this chapter. You'll also notice this chapter is mostly devoted to character development. If you can get through it, there is a short sex scene near the end. To my CG fans; yes I am working on chapter 08 and hope to post it fairly soon. Your votes and comments, good or bad, are ALWAYS appreciated. Bob ************* Banba and Aileen were sitting in their hotel room after enjoying a late dinner of fish and chips when a knock came on the door. When Aileen opened the door, they were surprised to see Officer Crowley. "May I come in? I have a message for Lady Banba." Banba replied, "sure, come on in. what can I do for you Officer Crowley?" "Well first of all I'm off duty. So please call me Kelli. I have a message from your father. He called the station earlier insisting we find you and check on your welfare. I happened to be in the dispatch room when he called. I took the call and spoke to him myself. I explained that I had seen you myself this afternoon and you were perfectly fine. He asked where you were staying. I told him our privacy laws wouldn't allow me to give him that information. He got a bit rude with me and I told him the best I could do was give you a message. You are an adult and have every right to go 'missing' if you choose to do so. He demanded I tell you to call him." "Oh my god! He called the police because I forgot to call him? I'm sooo sorry Kelli, my dad can be such a jerk sometimes. Would you like a drink? We have some Chardonnay as well as a fully stocked mini bar." "Sure why not? I don't have to work tomorrow. A glass of Chardonnay sounds great right about now." Aileen poured Kelli a glass of wine as Banba said, "have a seat. I'll call my dad then we can talk for a while." Banba called her father's cell phone. As soon as he answered, he started screaming in her ear. She listened for a few minutes then said, "dad, you're drunk. I'm not gonna talk to you when you're like this." She hung up the phone. He called right back screaming in her ear again. Banba hung up a second time. She dialed her mother's cell phone. "Hi mom. I know I should have called sooner but I've been really busy. I haven't had the time. I just got back from Aunt Brianna's and I'm beat. I probably would've forgotten again, but daddy called the police to remind me. I'm sorry I hung up on him mom, but he's drunk and I'm not in the mood to deal with it right now." Banba could hear hear her father screaming in the background. "Tell that little bitch I'm not putting up with her shit! She wants to be an adult? She can find herself another place to live when she gets back!" Erin said, "Banba sweetie, call me back in an hour. I have a few things to straighten out with your father!" She hung up before Banba could say another word. Banba's cell had been on speaker the whole time. Kelli said, "Lady Banba, I would suggest you call the local police to check on your mother. Your father sounds pretty drunk and in my experience, these things don't usually end very well." Banba replied, "I can do better than that Kelli." She dialed a number on her cell. "Hi Uncle Pete." "Hey there Banba. How's my favorite niece? I thought you were in Ireland on your pilgrimage." "I'm, your ONLY niece Uncle Pete. I'm still in Ireland. Look Uncle Pete daddy's really drunk and I'm worried about mom. Can you go check on her for me?" She explained everything that happened. "You were right to call me Pumpkin. There's a squad car on the way there now and I'm right behind them. I'll let you know if anything's wrong." "Thanks Uncle Pete." Banba looked at Kelli. "My uncle is the chief of police. He'll make sure my mother's okay." ************* Erin got up off the sofa. She went to the bedroom, put two suitcases on the bed. She grabbed the .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol out of the locked box she kept in her closet. Then went to the kitchen sitting with her back to the wall the table between her and the doorway. "Bill, there's two suitcases on the bed. YOU can pack your shit and get out of my house!" "Fuck you bitch! I'm not going anywhere!" He grabbed a hunting knife out of the display case in the living room and staggered into the kitchen waving it around . "You ain't kicking me out of this fucking house." Erin raised her pistol looking Bill in the eye. "Wanna bet your life on that Bill?" Bill's eyes widened with surprise. "You better put that thing down before I take it and shove it up your ass." He took a step forward and Erin fired a shot into the floor by his feet. "Next one is a double tap center mass,"she said calmly. At that instant the front door burst open and Erin's brother Pete came rushing in followed by two other officers. Erin breathed a sigh of relief setting the pistol on the table and her hands behind her head. "Drop the fucking knife Bill," Pete snapped. Bill dropped the hunting knife "YOU SET ME UP YOU BITCH," he yelled. "I didn't call Pete. But you're lucky he showed up when he did," Erin said with a grim smile. Pete picked up the pistol. "I have to take this for now, sorry sis." "It's okay Pete, I understand you have a job to do," Erin replied. Pete turned to the other officers. "Tom this piece of shit is under arrest, read him his rights and get him in cuffs. Sue, you take Erin's statement while Ton and I walk this animal out to the squad car." Bill looked at Pete and gave a drunken laugh. "You 'restin me?" he slurred. "lotta good THAT'S gonna do ya! I'll be out in an hour." He looked at Erin. "This ain't over yet yet bitch, not by a long shot! When I get out, I'm gonna cut that fucking dress off your backstabbing ass and fuck you silly before I cut you up." It was all Pete and his officers could do to control their rage. As Pete and Tom were walking Bill out the front door, Tom's foot 'accidentally' slipped in front of Bill's causing Bill to fall face first onto the cement sidewalk breaking his nose. Bill looked up at Tom. "You motherfucker, you did that on purpose!" Pete snapped, "it's not our fault you're so damn drunk you can't walk straight." He looked at Tom. "Call the damn bus and take him to the ER. I don't want him getting blood all over the squad. I'll have Sue meet you there when she's finished here. Oh, and you might as well have them do a BAC(blood alcohol count) and a drug test while you've got him there." "You got it boss." At that moment, Sue appeared in the doorway. "She's not a collar boss. It's a clear case of self-defense. She could have dropped him right where he stood. He's lucky she didn't." "Thanks Sue. I figured as much. But I wanted someone else to make that determination. I don't want this asshole getting off on some stupid technicality. It's bad enough he already fell flat on his face and broke his damn nose." "So I see. Look boss, after everything we heard in there, I think she needs an order of protection. Do you want me to take care of it for you?" "That's a good idea Sue. But see if you can get Judge Kramer to give her a thirty day TRO (temporary restraining order) instead of the usual seventy two hours. Erin's gonna need some time to think things through. You can serve the TRO to the asshole when you pick him and Tom up from the hospital." Pete went back inside. He hugged Erin then tried to give her back the pistol. "No, hold on to it for me for now. Okay Pete?" "Erin, you heard what he said. You're gonna need it if he comes back. Sue's gone to get you a temporary restraining order. But you know as well as I do, that's just a piece of paper. It won't stop him from hurting you if he decides to." "He's not gonna gonna get that chance Pete. There's already someone on the way to repair the front door and change the locks courtesy of the alarm company mom uses for the business. It's still all in her name so Bill no longer has a job. All his company credit cards are being canceled. He has no access to any company funds or property. The only car he has access to is mine and I want you to store that at your house. This isn't something that just came up out of the blue Pete. Something's been going on with Bill for almost a year now. It started when he fired Margo and gave some cute little twenty something the job. I think he's fucking the little bitch because he hasn't touched me since he hired her. "'I talked to mom about it a while back. She ordered a full audit of the company books. Bill found out about it somehow. That's what set him off today. Once the house is secured, I'm getting on the first available plane to Ireland. I'll stay with Aunt Brianna until Bill's trial. Then I'll figure out where I need to go from there." Pete looked at Erin with admiration. "You've had this all planned out for a while. Haven't you sis?" "Yeah, I have big brother. Your little sister's not dumb. I knew Bill would flip out when he found out mom was auditing the books. Why do you think I had you teach me how to use that damn pistol?" Pete shook his head with a grin. "I wondered about that. But you never would tell me why you wanted to learn so bad. That reminds me, why didn't you just drop him when he came at you with that knife?" "If it came down to that, I would have. But I know my daughter. I knew the second I hung up on her, the first thing she'd do is call her Uncle Pete. I also knew there's no way my big brother would leave me in any situation that was even remotely dangerous. All I had to do was hold him off until you got here." "Erin, you're my little sister. I love you to death. But that was one hell of a leap of faith. So many things could've gone wrong." "You're forgetting something big brother. The goddess ALWAYS takes care of her own! I was never really in any danger!" "You're right. You know, I still thank the goddess for her gifts every morning before work and every night before bed. The funny thing is, my wife does the same thing. Every morning she asks the goddess to keep me safe and every night she thanks the goddess for doing so." Erin smiled. "I told you when you first introduced us that Sally was a keeper Pete." Pete noticed his cell phone was vibrating. "Speaking of Sally... Hi honey." "Hi babe. Are you still at Erin's?" "Yeah, I am. It's been one hell of a night hon." Pete went on to explain everything that happened. "OH MY GOD! I'm on my way! But will one of you PLEASE call Banba. She's been calling you two for more than an hour. I swear that poor girl's gonna have a stroke." "Honey, calm down. Erin's fine..." Sally interrupted Pete. "I'll talk to you when I get there! Just call Banba and let her know her mom's okay." Sally hung up before Pete could say another word. Pete looked at Erin. "Sally's on her way here. I couldn't stop her. But you need to call Banba. The poor girl's in a panic." Erin noticed her cell phone wasn't on the table. She spotted it laying on the floor, the back off and the battery laying next to it. "Shit, I must have knocked it off the table during all that chaos! I hope it still works!" She put it back together then turned it on. Luckily nothing seemed to be damaged. When she turned it on, there was more than a dozen missed calls from Banba. She hit the talk button twice. Banba picked up on the first ring. "Mom! Thank the goddess! Are you okay? What the hell's going on? Why didn't you answer your phone?" "Calm down sweetie! I'm fine. But it's been a rough night. I accidentally dropped my phone in the middle of it all. I just now realized it." She went on to explain everything that happened. "Is Uncle Pete still there with you?" "Yeah he's still here sweetie." "Good, I'll be on the next plane home. Ask him to stay with you until I get there." "NO! Banba sweetie, listen to me please! You can't give up your pilgrimage! I'm coming there instead. I've already made arrangements to stay with Aunt Brianna for a while. Uncle Pete and I are just waiting for the front door to get fixed then I'm on the next plane out of here. I even have a visitor's visa that's good for the next six months. Uncle Pete's not letting me out of his sight until I get on the plane and Aunt Sally's on her way here right now. Besides, it's Friday. Your father's gonna be locked up at least until Monday. I promise you, I'll be on a plane long before that." "Okay mom, I can live with that. But what about the sperm donor that helped create me? What happens to him now?" "Banba! Honey don't talk about him like that! No matter what he's done, he's still your father! I don't know what's gonna happen to him. That's up to the courts now sweetie." "I'm sorry mom, but he stopped being my father the minute he threatened your life. On top of that, he cheated on you! I don't want anything to do with him ever again. As far as I'm concerned, he doesn't exist anymore!" "I understand how you feel sweetie, I really do, but life's too short to waste time on emotions like anger and hatred." "I'm not angry mom, and I certainly don't hate him. As a matter of fact, I feel...nothing for him. No anger, no hatred, no love, no respect, no nothing. I care more about the dust in the air than I do about him. So let's talk about something I DO care about. Promise me you'll call me with your flight information. Aileen and I will pick you up at the airport and drive you to Aunt Brianna's." "Okay sweetie, I promise I'll call you as soon as I know my itinerary. But I've got to go for now. Aunt Sally's here now and so is the crew that's gonna fix the front door." "Okay mom I love you. Tell Uncle Pete and Aunt Sally I love them and thank them for being there for you for me." "I will. I love you too baby." Erin smiled. "Banba says she loves you both and to thank you both for being here for me." Sally hugged Erin. "Banba's growing up to be quite an amazing young lady. But what about you? How are you doing?" Erin sighed deeply. "Not as bad as you'd expect given the situation. I saw all this coming a while back. I've had some time to prepare myself mentally but it's still a bit of a shock. I have a bad feeling about all of this. I think there's more going on than just Bill fucking some little bimbo. I mean he REALLY freaked when he found out mom was having the company books audited. I don't know if he's skimming or what but something's definitely going on there." Pete replied, "we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Right now my only concern is making sure you and Banba are safe until we sort this whole mess out. "I need you to leave me your house keys when they're finished changing the locks. While you were talking to Banba, I ordered an alarm system with a direct tie in to the station. If it ever goes off, there will be a squad car here in seconds. It'll be installed first thing Monday morning. I'll cover the install costs and the monthly bill, at least until you get back." "You're not taking any chances at all. Are you? You really think I'm in that much danger from him Pete?" Hell no, I'm not taking any chances! Like you said Erin, something more's going on here. Until I know exactly what that is, I want you and Banba out of his reach. I have no idea how dangerous this situation is right now and I DON'T like that feeling one bit! You're my little sister, Banba is my niece, I love you both dearly. I don't care what it costs or what I have to do to keep the two of you safe." Erin hugged Pete kissing his cheek. "I love you too big brother. I want to thank you both for being here for me, it really means a lot to me." It took a little more than an hour for the repair crew to secure the house. Erin made her flight arrangements then called Banba. "Hi sweetie, everything's all set. I'll be landing at Cork international at about six thirty in the morning." "Okay mom, we'll be there. Tell Uncle Pete not to worry. My friend Kelli Crowley is a police officer and she's gonna give us a police escort right to Aunt Brianna's house." Erin laughed. "I'll tell him sweetie. I'm sure he'll love THAT idea." Erin hung up the phone turning to Pete. "Banba says not to worry. I'm gonna get a police escort to Aunt Brianna's." "How on Earth did she manage that one?" he laughed. "Evidently she has a friend on the local police force." Pete shook his head grinning. "That young lady never ceases to amaze me." ******** After she hung up with her mother Banba turned to Kelli. "You don't mind escorting us do you?" Kelli smiled. "Of course not. I'm at your service M'lady. Is it okay if I spend the night here? It'll be easier that way." "You're right that would be a lot easier." "Okay great! I need to run home and get a fresh uniform and make a few arrangements. I'll be back in about a half hour." "Thanks Kelli. I don't think it's absolutely necessary, but it'll make my mom and my uncle feel a little better." While Kelli was gone Banba called room service and ordered a couple of snack trays and a bottle of Zinfandel. She was shocked when Galen delivered them. "What are you doing here this late? Who's watching Teagan?" Galen grinned. "Hello to you too M'lady Banba. Teagan refuses to leave Meagan's side. Mr. and Mrs. O'Leary got special permission for Teagan to spend the night in Megan's room with them. Since Teagan's not at home and I can always use the extra money, I volunteered to fill in for someone who called in sick." "Yeah, I can see Teagan doing that. She's just like her father in that respect. You're both very kind and loving people." Banba signed the room service check giving Galen a hundred dollar tip. Galen gasped in surprise. "Lady Banba that's too much. It really isn't necessary." "Oh hush Galen. It's only money. Buy something nice for Teagan with it." Galen smiled. "As you wish Lady Banba. If I put it with the rest of the money I've been saving, it will give me enough to buy that laptop Teagan's been wanting." "Remember Galen, all you need do is ask and the goddess will provide." "I understand M'lady. But I feel like I'm being greedy asking for such things." "Galen, you can never be greedy petitioning the goddess for something for someone else. You're only being greedy if it's for yourself. The goddess can see into your heart. She knows the difference" "Thank you Lady Banba. I'll try to remember that." "I think we'll save the Zinfandel for another time. Would you mind bringing us a couple of two liter bottles of cola and a bottle of Bacardi. Along with three more glasses please Galen?" "It's no trouble at all. I'll be right back M'lady." Aileen gave Banba a quizzical look. "What's up with the rum and cola Lady Banba? "It's Kelli's favorite drink. I wanna thank her for being here for my mom." "Well in that case, I guess I'll join the two of you. It'll be my first time drinking rum." "It'll be my first time too Aileen. Hopefully, it doesn't knock us both flat on our asses." "Or have the same effect on us that Zinfandel does?" Aileen giggled. "Oh god! I hope not! I'm not sure HOW Kelli would take THAT!" "You mean to say you weren't planning on trying to seduce her?" "God no! I've got way too much on my mind to even think about seducing Kelli tonight! Although, I'll admit she does have a scrumptious body. Why? Would you be jealous if I did try seducing her?" "Not at all Lady Banba. Jealousy is such an ugly emotion. I was just curious that's all." "I see. Well, if you wanna have a go at her, go right ahead. I won't mind at all either. I'm just not in the mood to try seducing Kelli tonight. Maybe some other night, but not tonight." The Pilgrimage Ch. 02 "I don't plan on trying to seduce Kelli either Lady Banba. But if you want, I'll move my stuff to the other bedroom for tonight." "Why would I want you to do that Aileen? I'm not the least bit embarrassed or ashamed of our making love to each other or our sleeping in the same bed. Are you?" "No! Of course not! I just didn't know if you wanted Kelli to know that's all." "Aileen honey, I don't care if Kelli knows. I don't care if my mother knows. I don't care if the whole world knows. I'm happy, you're happy, so why should we care what the rest of the world thinks?" Aileen took Banba's hands in hers . "Thank you for saying that. I don't give a damn what anyone else thinks either! I just didn't know how YOU felt about it. I guess I needed to know you're okay with us." "Of course I'm okay with us and with things being the way they are between us. But Aileen honey, you have to understand, I have no idea where this pilgrimage of mine is headed, or even what it all means anymore. No matter what happens though, I'll always be there for you." Aileen gave Banba a gentle kiss. "I understand all that. I know the goddess wants your hymen intact for a reason. I don't know what all this means, or what's gonna happen anymore than you do right now. But I promise no matter what happens, I'll always be there for you as well." Just then there was a knock on the door. Aileen opened it letting Kelli in. Kelli saw the bottle of Bacardi sitting on the table. She shook her head laughing. "Rum and cola huh? Okay I'll have a couple of drinks with you. But no more than two. I need to be sharp for tomorrow. I'd like to shower and change for bed first though. Where do you want me to put my stuff?" Banba pointed to the spare bedroom. "You can use that room. Aileen and I already have our stuff in the other one." Kelli came back about ten minutes later wearing a pair of pajamas with long sleeves and long leggings. The pajamas may have been modest but they hugged Kelli's luscious curves almost like a second skin leaving very little to the imagination. Banba ran her eyes over Kelli's scrumptious body. "My god Kelli! Even in that outfit you look amazing! Your boyfriend must be one very happy man!" "Nah. I don't have a boyfriend anymore. I caught him monkeying with another monkey's monkey a few months ago. I threw his cheating ass out. Yeah it gets lonely sometimes. But I'd rather be lonely and alone then put up with an asshole screwing another woman in my bed. Thanks for the compliment though. It really boosts my ego to know another woman thinks I'm hot." Aileen grinned. "Smoking is more accurate. Men, ya turn em upside down, they're all alike. Always thinking with their 'little head' instead of the one on their shoulders. Grab a seat Kelli, I'll fix us all a drink." "Thanks Aileen, and thanks for the compliment too. You two are definitely not shy," she laughed. Aileen handed Kelli a drink. "We're all friends here Kelli. There's no reason for any of us to be shy around each other." Kelli sipped her drink. "Ooh that's good! Lady Banba, I'm not sure what's happening back home with your father. I flagged both your mother's and your name at the station. If anyone calls asking about either of you, I'll be notified instantly. No information regarding the whereabouts of either of you will be released unless it's cleared with me first. I've already talked to both your uncle and my boss. They both agree it's a good idea. At least until we know more about what's really going on over there." "I agree. Thank you Kelli. Nobody's got a clue as to what's going on right now. Until we do, I'd rather be safe than sorry. My only question is what kind of danger does that put YOU in? I think under the circumstances, you should ask to be assigned to my mother full time until we know what we're up against." "Your uncle thought the same thing. After he talked to my boss, your mother became a protected witness. I've been assigned to guard her for the next month. It's funny, when all this first started I thought it was just a domestic disturbance that had the potential to get out of hand. That's why I suggested you call somebody. But then when you asked me to escort your mother, I don't know why but I got really concerned. One of the reasons I left was because I wanted to find out why. So I tracked down your uncle's phone number and gave him a call. It seems there may be a lot more going on than I first thought. There was a case similar to this a few months ago. A married man with a family working for a private defense contractor was murdered along with his whole family when the FBI began an investigation into secret information being passed to foreign governments. Along with some possible money laundering. Just like in your fathers case, the whole investigation began when the company owner ordered an independent audit of the company books. Your uncle doesn't believe in coincidences any more than I do. He's moved your father to a secure location and notified both the FBI and Homeland Security. The good news is that it's the weekend. It'll be a couple of days before shit hits the fan. We have time to get you and your mother secured and beef up your security." "THAT'S not gonna happen Kelli! I'm not letting anyone else near my mother. It'll just draw attention to us and get her killed. I'm sorry Kelli but I'm not sure you should even be involved in this anymore." "No, I'm sorry Lady Banba. I've been assigned to guard you and your mother for the next thirty days and that's exactly what I intend to do. I've already got a team down in the lobby and there will be another team meeting us at the airport in the morning." Banba gave Kelli a hard stare. "Okay Kelli. Why don't you be a good girl and go to sleep for me." She caught Kelli's head before it hit the table. "Aileen come help me get her into bed." The two of them carried Kelli to the spare bedroom laying her down gently on the bed. Banba looked at the sleeping policewoman. "I'm sorry Kelli but it's better this way." She sat back at the table. "Aileen pack up all our stuff except our cell phones. We'll leave them here." "How are we gonna get past the team in the lobby?" "With a little help from the goddess of course. Now go get our stuff packed while I get my mother." Aileen knew better than ask anymore questions and went to pack their suitcases. Banba's body took on a bright golden glow for several long seconds. Suddenly Erin appeared sitting in the chair across from Banba. "Hi mom, welcome home, daughter of Erie!" Erin was stunned. "Banba? What the... how in the world?" "Shh, it's okay mom I'll explain later. Right now we have to get moving." Aileen came out of the bedroom a suitcase in each hand. "All set Lady Banba." "Take them to Kelli's room. Get all her stuff together too. Just leave her cell phone and her radio. Tie all three bags together with something I can loop around my neck." Banba took Erin's hand. "come on mom it's time we got out of here." Aileen tied the bags together using the sleeve of one of her dresses. She tied the other sleeve in a loop that Banba could slide over her head. "Ready when you are Lady Banba." "Good. Mom, you take one of Kelli's hands. Aileen you take Kelli's other hand." Banba squatted over Kelli sliding the loop from the three bags over her head. She took Erin's other hand then grabbed Aileen's other one completing the circle. Her body began to glow again and a few seconds later they were all in Aunt Brianna's living room. Aileen gasped in shock. "Holy shit Lady Banba! That was amazing!" "Yeah it was quite a ride wasn't it?" Aunt Brianna came in from the kitchen carrying a tray with five cups of coffee "I guess things started popping sooner than I expected Lady Banba. I see you had to put one of them to sleep. Huh?" "Yeah. Her name's Kelli. She's a policewoman. We'll take care of her afterwards. I wanna take care of mom first. I've had to keep her in a semi-conscious state to keep her mind from overloading." Aunt Brianna smiled. "I can understand that. It's not everyday you're snatched from an airplane in mid air. I think it would even freak me out a bit. Let's get your mom on the sofa then you can start bring her around. But do it slowly. Okay?" After they had Erin seated on the sofa, Banba slowly brought her mother back to full consciousness. Erin's eyes fluttered then opened wide. "Banba! Sweetie! It is you! I...I thought it was just a dream!" "No mom it's not a dream. I'm sorry I had to do things this way, but Kelli didn't give me any other choice. Are you okay?" "I'm a little disoriented but other than that I'm fine. You wanna tell me what the hell's going on?" Banba took a cup of coffee off the tray handing it to Erin. "Here mom, sip this. It'll help clear your head. I'll tell you everything in a minute. I wanna wake Kelli up first. That way I don't have to repeat everything." Kelli woke up to Banba sitting on the floor next to her. She looked around her in confusion then looked back at Banba. "Where are we? What's going on Lady Banba?" "Sit on the sofa and sip some coffee. It'll help clear your mind." Once Kelli was seated Banba continued, "that's my mom you're sitting next to. Her name's Erin. That amazing woman sitting on the other side of her is my Aunt Brianna. We're at her house. How we got here and why is gonna take some explaining. I know that you and my mom both have a shitload of questions. But I'd appreciate it if you both saved them until I'm finished. Banba sat on the floor in front of the sofa. She grabbed a cup of coffee sipping it as she gathered her thoughts. "My father is involved with some very dangerous people. They funnel money, arms, equipment, and other supplies to various terrorist organizations around the world. Two members of the team Kelli had in the hotel lobby have been compromised by this same group. They had orders to kill me and my mother at all costs. "The goddess wasn't gonna allow that to happen. She told me everything I'm telling you now and with her help I snatched my mother off the plane and ported us all here to safety. Nobody on that plane remembers my mother being there and there's no record of her ever being on that flight. All the records now show she entered the country several hours earlier using my grandmothers corporate jet. Even her passport has the correct stamp. "When Kelli's boss wakes up in a few hours, he's gonna find a voicemail on his private cellphone from Kelli telling him to look at a specific file in his desk. It contains enough information for him to arrest the two members of her team that were ordered to kill us. It also contains a letter from Kelli explaining that she discovered the plot when she overheard one of them talking on their cell phone. The letter goes on to state under the circumstances she's not sure who she can trust besides him. She gathered what evidence she could, moved us to a secure location, and will contact him as soon as it's safe to do so. "I know it's a lot for you both to take in and I haven't even begun to cover all the little details. There's a million questions swirling around in your heads right now. I don't have all the answers yet myself. So I probably won't be able to answer them all. But I'll do my best to answer the ones that I can. Mom, let's start with you." Erin shook her head with a deep sigh. "I don't know where to start. In fact I don't even know whether to laugh or cry. In the space of a few short days, my little girl disappeared and in her place I see an amazing young woman. The changes are so profound that I hardly recognize you anymore." She smiled softly. "Where on earth did you come from, and what in the hell happened to my precious baby girl?" Banba stood, winked at Erin and said, "I love you too mom. I think the best way to answer that question is to show you." She held out her right hand. Erin watched in awe as the Sword of light appeared in Banba's hand, it's scabbard hanging at her side from a chain belt around her waist. "OH...MY...GOD! The Claiomh Solais! That can only be wielded by...Oh my god...you? You're the chosen one? I expected a lot of different things, but THAT was definitely NOT one of them! It certainly does explain a lot though. Baby, I don't know what to say. Right now, I'm so proud of you, it feels like my heart is gonna burst right out of my chest." Banba sheathed her sword smiling as it disappeared. Then sat back down. "Thanks mom, but don't get too excited just yet. I'm still not sure what it all means and I don't have a clue as to what it is that I've been chosen for." Erin chuckled softly. "Don't worry M'lady, the goddess will tell you when the time's right. Which reminds me, what effect does all this mess have on your pilgrimage?" "Don't tell me you're gonna start calling me M'lady and Lady Banba too mom. This mess as you call it isn't gonna have any effect on my pilgrimage at all. In fact, getting you and Kelli to safety before the shit hits the fan was actually part of my pilgrimage. Which reminds me, I need a few minutes to let Grandma and Uncle Pete know we're safe before it does hit the fan so that they don't worry." Banba closed her eyes seeking her grandmother's mind. "Grandma it's Banba. Can you hear me?" Gael was startled by Banba's presence in her mind. "Yes I can hear you sweetie. Is something wrong?" "I'll explain everything when I have a little more time. Right now, I just wanna tell you that everything's okay. Mom and I are both safe at Aunt Brianna's." "Thank the goddess for that! Have you told your uncle yet?" "No, not yet. I wanted to tell you first." "Thank you for telling me Banba. At least now I don't have to worry so much. It's okay to tell Peter that you and your mother are safe. But don't tell him where you are. He doesn't know about Brianna's farm. In fact only a few of the faithful know it exists. You and Erin will be perfectly safe there." "I know that Gram. But you might wanna go to Uncle Pete's. That way I won't have to worry about YOU" "Sweetie, there's something you're not telling me isn't there?" "Yeah Gram. But I don't have time to go into it all right now. Besides you'll find out soon enough. Just do me a favor and get to Uncle Pete's. I have to go now Gram." "Okay sweetie, I'll pack a bag and get to Peter's house." Banba reached out to her uncle's mind. "Uncle Pete, its' Banba can you hear me?" Pete was siting at his kitchen table sipping coffee before heading to work at the police station. He was so shocked by Banba's presence in his mind, the coffee cup slipped from his hand smashing on the floor spilling coffee everywhere. Years of military and police training kicked in and Pete quickly recovered from his shock. "Banba honey, I love you to death sweetie, but don't ever do that again! You scared the shit out of me baby girl!" Banba sent Pete a mental giggle. "I'm sorry Uncle Pete. I didn't mean to scare you like that. I just wanted to let you know mom and I are okay. Kelli has us stashed in a secure location. I don't have time to explain everything. But shit's gonna hit the fan over here very shortly. You'll find out about it all in a few hours anyway. I talked Grandma into coming to your house, she should be there any minute now. I would suggest you get her, Aunt Sally, and the twins to a secure location as soon as possible." "Banba sweetie, you need to tell me just what in the hell's going on and you need to tell me now!" "I don't have time to give you all the details Uncle Pete. Short version is, my father was working for a group supplying terrorist organizations. At least two members of Kelli's team were comprised. Kelli found out and slipped us away to safety before they could react. As soon as they realize they can't get to me and mom, they're gonna come after Gram and your family so get them somewhere safe fast. One more thing, my father has an office at home. Check the closet floor. There's a safe under it. The combination is 86L 61R 19L." "Okay Banba. I'm guessing this is a goddess thing so I'm not gonna ask you any more questions. Normally I'd ask where you were so I could send Kelli some back up. I don't know why, but I have the strangest feeling you're all the back up she needs. Thanks for the tip about the floor safe. I'll check it out as soon as I get everyone to a secure location." "All right Uncle Pete. I gotta go now. I'll be in touch. Love you!" Banba rolled her head in a circle working out a kink in her neck. "Gram and Uncle Pete know we're safe and Uncle Pete's moving everyone to a safe place too so we won't have to worry about them." Aunt Brianna smiled. "We know Lady Banba. It's obvious you're not used to using your telepathic skills just yet. You were using your voice as well as your mind. I'll have to teach you how to separate the two of them." "You mean you can...?" Brianna interrupted Banba. "Of course I can. So can your mother and your grandmother. We're all telepathic. It's one of the many gifts the goddess gives the faithful. I'm pretty sure even Aileen has the gift." Aileen giggled. "Aunt Brianna, don't go telling all my little secrets. I do have some telepathic abilities. But they're nowhere near as powerful as Lady Banba's. I have to have someone in my line of sight first. Even then I have to really concentrate." "Yeah well Lady Banba's telepathic abilities are always gonna be more powerful than any of ours because of who she is. But you can make yours a lot stronger than they are now simply by using them more often. They're no different than anything else, the more you use them the stronger they'll get." Kelli finally spoke up. "Even though it's a little hard for me to grasp, I understand you all have some sort of psionic powers to varying degrees and I'm okay with that. But right now I'm like a little girl lost in the wilderness. I have no clue as to what's going on or which way to turn." She looked down at her pajamas and giggled. "Also could someone please tell me where my clothes and my gear are?" Banba pointed to Kelli's bag. "All your clothes and gear except for your cell phone and radio are in your bag. I left your radio and all our cell phones back in the hotel room. They're too easy to track. You can put your stuff in that last bedroom on the right. When you're done changing, I'll try to explain things a little better for you." A few minutes later Kelli returned dressed in her uniform and wearing all her gear. She sat on the sofa nodding at Banba. Banba nodded back then looked at Erin. "I'm sorry mom. I know hearing some of this is gonna hurt a lot and it's probably gonna make you angry as well. But I think you need to hear it too. So try to bear with me. Okay?" Erin smiled sadly. "I know you're right; I do need to hear it. But don't worry I'll be okay. I've all ready prepared myself for the worst. Go ahead, tell us what you know M'lady." Banba rolled her eyes laughing softly. "Again my own mother with the M'lady stuff." She took a deep breath letting it out slowly. "About fifteen years ago, a bunch of very rich and very powerful Muslims from different countries held a secret meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They formed a secret organization to support terrorism. Using their power and prestige along with some very clever ruses, they've been able to keep various terrorist groups supplied with money, arms, equipment, supplies, and even computer software. "About four years ago, they came up with a really ambitious plan. They got their hooks into a half dozen American women who were desperate for money. They cleaned the women up and spent the next two years training them. Then they placed the women in locations where they could meet and seduce high level executives at various private defense contractors. The Pilgrimage Ch. 02 "All six women were successful in seducing their assigned targets. Everything was going fine until a contractor in Tampa noticed something odd and ordered an independent audit of his books. The organization covered their tracks somewhat by murdering their inside man and his whole family. However that didn't solve their problem with the contractor's books and the FBI is still investigating. "The woman assigned to my father did a really good job of seducing him. She convinced him she was deeply in love with him and she desperately needed a job. He found some lame excuse to fire his administrative assistant Margo who had been working for him for over a decade and put his new lover in her job. The only reason he never left my mother was because the company was owned solely by my grandmother and the house we lived in was owned exclusively by my mother. It was given to her by my grandfather just before her and my father were married with the provision that my father's name never go on the deed. The only things even partially in his name were a few company credit cards and a joint bank account with my mother. There are no martial assets and my father would have been left penniless in the event of a divorce. "When my mother told my grandmother my father was having an affair, my grandmother ordered a secret independent audit of her company books. Somehow my father found out about it, and the rest as they say, is history." Kelli looked at Banba with a frown. "Okay, I understand now why you did things the way you did. But nothing you've said is evidence. Are they gonna be able to prove any of it?" "As far as my father and his bimbo goes, probably. My father has already started singing like a bird. He's said enough to implicate his girlfriend and she's already been arrested as well. "The rest of it depends on whether or not his girlfriend decides to talk. She knows the names of all the other women and who their targets were. She also knows a few of the ringleaders as well. But she's really committed to the organization so I don't know whether she'll talk or not. There's also my father's safe. I'm not sure what's in it but if it was important enough for the goddess to insist I tell my uncle about it, I'm sure there's some valuable information there as well." "Well it sounds like a few of them may get what's coming to them. So what do we do now? Do we just stay here and lay low until it all blows over?" "I've got a feeling you're not gonna like the answer to that question Kelli. I understand you feeling it's your duty to protect all of us. But your primary responsibility is to my mother. I think you know I'm fully capable of protecting myself and Aileen. So yes, we're all gonna spend the rest of the weekend here. But Monday morning Aileen and I are going to Newgrange first then over to the Hill of Tara. "Don't go worrying your sexy little ass off about it Kelli. I wouldn't even think of doing it if I wasn't absolutely sure the rest of you are perfectly safe here. This farm sits back more than a kilometer from the nearest paved road. Very few people even know of it's existence. It's almost impossible to find even during the day unless you know exactly where to look. On top of that, I'll know if something's gonna happen before it starts. I'll be here by your side long before anyone even gets close." Kelli frowned. "You're right Lady Banba, I don't like it very much. But I've seen some of what you can do. I've got faith in your abilities and I trust you. So I guess I can live with it. Not that I have much choice in the matter." Banba stood walking over to the sofa. She squatted down throwing her arms around Kelli's neck locking lips with her. Kelli blushed beet red. She was both shocked and embarrassed. But as Banba swept her tongue across Kelli's soft lips, she opened her mouth and accepted Banba's tongue. Kelli couldn't help herself, she returned Banba's kiss with everything she had. As Banba's lips shifted to deepen the kiss, their tongues entwined in an ageless duel of passion that left them both breathless. When Kelli caught her breath she giggled softly. "Lady Banba, your mother, your aunt..." Banba interrupted Kelli. "Oh shush hot stuff. If you think they care we just stuffed our tongues down each others throats think again. In fact they won't even care if you, me, and Aileen have some fun together in that bed later on tonight. Kelli shook her head giggling. "You really are a cocky little bitch aren't you Lady Banba?" Banba grinned. "Yup! I get it from my mother. Don't I mom?" Erin blushed while laughing. "You really have grown up a lot in the past few days M'lady." She grew serious. In fact you've matured so much that it's time I let you in on a few family secrets. Your description of your father as just a sperm donor was pretty close to the mark. The only reason I married him to begin with was because he was a pure blooded descendant of the Tuatha Dé Danann. We met during our first year at the university and struck a bargain. He would marry me and give me a daughter. In exchange, he would live a life of comfort he would never have been able to afford otherwise. "It took him seven years to live up to his end of the bargain because he knew exactly when my fertile times were and and always avoided having sex with me during those times. "When I finally threatened to throw his ass out and divorce him, he decided it was time to get me pregnant. Thank the goddess I had a girl the first time around. After you were born, I went on the pill and always made him wear a condom. I had my baby girl and that was all I wanted from him. "Don't get me wrong, it's not that I didn't care about him. He was the father of my child so of course I cared about him. But I never loved him. Oh, I pretended to be in love with him. I did everything I could to keep him happy. Including spreading my legs for him whenever he wanted. The only thing I wouldn't do was give him another child. "He held up his end of our arrangement by getting me pregnant with you. I would have held up my end for the rest of our lives if not for his current situation. "Grandma and Grandpa were both fully aware of the bargain I made with your father. In fact it was their idea. That's why they insisted that absolutely nothing go in Bill's name. He had his salary of course and he could've stashed some of that away somewhere. But from what you've just told us, he didn't even do that. I have no idea where all his money went. He certainly wasn't giving it to me. I got just enough to cover household expenses and a little more here and there for personal needs. "He didn't even pay for your clothes. Thank the goddess Grandma slipped me a credit card right after you were born. Whenever either of us got new clothes, I told him your grandmother bought them for us. Which wasn't exactly a lie and he never questioned it. That's why I always brought Grandma with us whenever we went clothes shopping. "The ten thousand dollars I gave you took me forever to save. A few dollars here and there. Even the loose change he left in his pants pocket went into my savings for your pilgrimage. I know I could've asked Grandma for the money and she would've gladly given you twice that much. But I wanted to do it for you on my own. After letting all the family skeletons out of the closet, I don't want you to think your father didn't love you, because he did. At least as much as he was capable of loving someone other than himself." "Banba shook her head. "Nice try mom. But we both know I was never 'daddy's little girl.' Though the goddess knows, I really tried to be. That's the reason I kept my grades up and why I joined the track team. I thought if I did really good, he'd notice me. I ran my heart out, winning races just to make him proud of me. I had scholarship offers from all the top universities in the country. Every one of them said I was Olympic material. "You have no idea how hard it was for me to go on this pilgrimage. I almost didn't. I was gonna try one more time to make that son of a bitch proud of me. Then I realized that no matter what I did, he'd never be proud of me. I knew he resented me. I never understood why until just a few minutes ago when you told me everything. "I was probably four or five when I first realized something was wrong, that he didn't treat me like other daddies treated their little girls. For a long time I thought I had done something bad to make him mad at me. As I got older, I thought maybe he was jealous because I was taking your time away from him. "I realize how wrong I was now. All the bastard was worried about was me growing up and you throwing his stupid ass out. Some father he turned out to be. It's funny, if you had told me all this even a week ago, it would have shattered my whole world. But now, I could care less. All that matters is we're here together. You're safe and that's the most important thing to me right now. Banba held up a finger tilting her head down to one side as if listening to someone. After a minute she looked at Brianna. "Aunt Brianna, can you turn on the television please? There's a news report I think we should all listen to." Brianna turned on the television just as a reporter was saying, "again, two Cork city police officers have been killed and three other officers have been wounded in what police are are saying was an attempt by a group of fifteen AL-Qaeda linked terrorists to take over the Imperial hotel. Police sources are saying that all fifteen terrorists were killed in the ensuing gun battle with two Cork city Special Operations teams. However police sources will not comment on why the Special Operations teams were there to begin with, nor will they comment on unconfirmed reports that four women, including a Cork city policewoman are missing from the penthouse suite of the hotel." Kelli watched the news reports with horror as the tears streamed down her cheeks. "Two dead, three wounded? FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! It's all my fault!" She put her head down sobbing. Banba knelt in front of Kelli putting Kelli's head on her shoulder. "I know you're thinking if we had stayed, you would've been able to help them. But that's not what would've happened. If we had stayed, you'd be dead right now. So would Aileen. Maybe even me and my mother. Your assignment was to protect my mother. That was your only mission. If we had stayed, you would've failed that mission! The two officers that died were the two traitors. They got a key to the penthouse from the night manager and stormed the suite about ten minutes after we left. They were carrying silenced mac tens with Teflon coated steel jacked rounds. Your vest would've been useless. When they realized we weren't there, they called their contact to let him know. He figured the plan had been discovered and sent that group of terrorists in to clean up the mess. The leader of your airport team though it was better to meet us at the hotel. He and his team arrived just as the terrorists gunned down the traitors. The terrorists were caught between his team and the rest of the lobby team. They never had a chance in hell. The three that were wounded were part of the airport team. One took a round in the right shoulder. The other two took rounds to their vests. Luckily the terrorists weren't as well armed as the traitors. The other two ended up with bruised ribs. All three are gonna be just fine." Banba raised Kelli's head looking her in the eyes. "None of this is your fault, and I still need your help. Your only mission is to protect my mother, and I need to know if I can depend on you to do that." Kelli took a deep shuddering breath as Brianna handed her a box of tissues. She blew her nose, wiped the tears from her eyes, then looked at Banba. "I'm sorry M'lady. I know you're right. If we tried to take on two heavily armed, well trained Special Operations officers, we probably wouldn't be here talking about it right now. It's just that police officers are like a big family, when one of us gets hurt or killed, we all feel it. I let my emotions get the better of me. I won't let it happen again. You can absolutely depend on me to do my job and protect your mother." Kelli winked at Banba then continued, "but don't think for one second that you're fooling me M'lady. I know you don't REALLY need my help for that. In fact, I think the main reason you brought me along is because you didn't wanna leave me behind for those two assholes." "That was one of the reasons. But it wasn't the only one. I have a pilgrimage to complete. I can't be here all the time. I know the goddess isn't gonna let anything happen. But I think my mother will feel safer with you here Kelli." Banba held up her index finger cocking her head to the side closing her eyes. She gave a slight nod then opened her eyes. "We're all being summoned to Ashling's tomb." "By who?" Brianna asked. "By Ashling. She want's us all there. I don't know why though." When they got to Ashling's tomb Banba said, "Ashling, child of Dearbhal and Cearul, Daughter of Erie, Blood of my blood, I summon thee!" "Blessed be my daughter. Thank you for answering my call so quickly." Ashling looked at Erin. "Welcome home, daughter of Erie! Your life is no longer in any danger. The few that remained of your enemies in Erie have chosen to flee rather than risk capture." She looked at Kelli then back at Banba. "You have a Kellie? What am I thinking! Of course you do! The goddess wouldn't allow the chosen one to travel without an escort by one of her finest warriors! "Forgive me my daughter. I'm a little excited right now. But we don't have a lot of time. So I'll try to explain as quickly as I can. You, Aileen, Kellie, and I all have to get to Newgrange as soon as possible. I've been given the honor of aiding you in your pilgrimage. The problem is I can't leave the area of this tomb without a host. Would you be willing to let my spirit merge with you until we get inside Newgrange?" "You want me to carry you to Newgrange. I don't have a problem with that. I can also port us all there instantly. So that's not a problem either. But why the rush Ashling?" "All I know for sure my daughter, is that things are happening quickly. I don't know what things or why. But the sooner we get to Newgrange the sooner we'll find out." "I suppose you're right. Okay let's do this!" Banba felt Ashling's spirit merge with hers. She took one of Aileen's hands then one of Kelli's, then had them take each others hands to complete the circle and ported them all to Newgrange. Banba heard Ashling's voice in her head. "Push on the right side of the back wall about halfway up." Banba, Aileen, and Kelli were shocked when a section of the wall opened exposing a portal. Again Banba heard Ashling's voice. "Take their hands and step through the portal." When they stepped through the portal, Banba, Aileen, and Kelli found themselves in the courtyard of what appeared to be a huge temple. Just as Ashling's spirit left Banba's body, a woman appeared in the temple doorway. Banba, Aileen, and Kelli gasped in surprise. The woman in the doorway looked exactly like Banba except her body was far more feminine, with curves in all the right places. The woman smiled at Banba. "Hello my chosen one. If you haven't guessed already, I'm your namesake, the one you call 'The Goddess.' Welcome to my temple. We have to hurry. Time has no meaning in this realm. When you return to your own realm, it will be as if a few weeks had passed. Come inside, sit, we have much to discuss and very little time to do it in." Once they were all seated the goddess said, "we have to find something different to call you. We can't be calling each other Banba, that will be too confusing to the guests I have coming, and having you call me 'goddess' will be even more confusing. You've been chosen to be my great queen. The leader and absolute ruler of the 'People of Danu! You'll also rule over some of the Celts, Druids, and Wiccans. Some of them have already decided to ally themselves with you and I'm sure others will follow in the coming days. I'm gonna call you my Morrigan, because that's exactly what you are, my great warrior queen! Do you have any objections to that?" "None whatsoever. What name should we call you by, my goddess?" "I know it may be a bit awkward at first, but just call me 'Goddess Banba'. After all, I had the name first," she laughed. "Goddess Banba huh? I guess that works," the newly named Morrigan giggled. The Goddess Banba turned to Ashling. "You've done well daughter of Erie! As you, know there is a being in creation even more powerful than I. She's granted a petition to reward you for your service and loyalty, not just to me, but to her as well. I'm gonna give you three choices. Listen carefully, because once you choose, it can never be undone. I can port you back to your tomb where you can continue to rest peacefully. You can stay here in this temple with me. You'll always have someone to talk to and you'll get to listen to the eternal discussions and bickering that goes on between all the gods and goddesses. Or the Maker of All Things can give you a body so that you can become an adviser and friend to Morrigan. If you make this choice, you'll be given eternal youth and beauty and become immortal just like they are." Ashling smiled as she stood. "Well, I'm tired of resting, and no disrespect intended, but it seems I've already spent an eternity listening to the constant bickering that goes on here. I have a feeling there may be days I regret this, but I think I'd prefer having my body back. I'm sure I can find some way to make myself useful to Morrigan." Ashling's spirit glowed brightly for a few seconds as she became a beautiful young woman again. Her hair was a fiery red hanging in gentle ringlets all the way down to the small of her back. She had gorgeous eyes, big and round, light green with golden streaks, and long thick 'fuck me' eyelashes. Her nose was straight and narrow. She had full luscious lips that just begged to be kissed. Her tits were the size of large grapefruit halves. They were full, firm, and round, sitting high on her chest with silver dollar sized light tan areolae and big puffy pink nipples. She had a flat toned belly and a tiny twenty two inch waist that flared out to nicely rounded thirty four inch hips. Her legs were long, slim, and shapely topped off by a perfect heart little shaped bubble that anyone, man, or woman, would just love to watch doing a lap dance for them and other than her head, there wasn't a bit of hair anywhere on her body. Ashling looked down at her body. "Um...Goddess Banba... this isn't my body." "I realize that, my child. But the Maker of All Things couldn't very well give you back your old body. That's just a bunch of bones lying in a tomb. She had to make this body up as She went along. Personally I think you look hotter than hell. But if you don't like It, I'd be happy to make any changes you want." "No, that's okay. I actually love it. I was just a little shocked by how great she made me look. This body's a hell of a lot better than the one I had," she giggled. The Goddess Banba waved her hand. A tube top, a pair of Daisy Dukes, and a pair of sandals appeared on Ashling's body. "It's a shame to cover up a body that delectable, but I can't send you back with Morrigan naked. You'd cause more than a few accidents." T he Goddess Banba looked over at the new Morrigan and winked. "One down three to go. You're up next. Stand up and turn full circle for me child." The new Morrigan stood doing a three sixty gasping as her clothes disappeared. The Goddess Banba shook her head. "NO! NO! NO! This won't do at all! If you're gonna be a queen, you HAVE TO LOOK LIKE ONE! Your hair, your face, and your legs are great but you've got no tits, no hips and no ass! Let's see what we can do about that, shall we?"
