0 comments/ 6480 views/ 5 favorites Fallout 3 - Talon Company Ch. 01 By: Mackenzie Taylor I've had quite a bit of feedback about my Fallout stories. So as promised here is another. There will be more in the future and hopefully in a timely manor. Please comment/vote. Mac *** Agatha's door flew open and three men rushed in. They were hauling a fourth wounded man. Fear flooded Mur's gut at the sight of the men's body armor. Unique black combat armor with a white bird's claw painted on the left breast. Talon Company. Mercenaries for hire and reputedly the worst of the worst. They gently set the wounded man on Agatha's bed. He groaned a bit but that was it. Mur could see that he had some kind of wound in his upper left leg. Probably a bullet considering they were mercs and this was the wasteland. It had been treated and was wrapped in gauze. It wasn't bleeding profusely but it was oozing and infection could set in quickly in the radiated ruins of the old world. "We need med supplies." One of them commanded Agatha. Agatha who'd been playing a new piece of music for Mur, set her violin down and stood up, crossing her arms over her chest. "You're not welcome here." She said stubbornly. The man pulled his pistol out of the holster on his hip and pointed it at her. "Damn it old woman, don't make me fucking kill you!" Mur stood up and put her hand on Agatha's shoulder and squeezed. "I've got medical supplies in my pack." She said to the man pointing the pistol at Agatha. "It's probably enough to keep your friend alive until you get where you're going." "Fine. Get them." He commanded her, holstering his gun. "And hurry up about it." Mur grabbed her pack off of Agatha's table and pulled out her small med kit, all under the scrutiny of the intense man. She brought the kit over to the men standing by the bed. "Which one of you is the medic?" She asked. "You're looking at him." One of them said, pointing down at the wounded man. Mur wrinkled her nose and bumped the man who'd spoken. He moved out of the way and she bent over the injured man. He was classically handsome with a strait nose and knife blade cheekbones. The all American man that you saw on all of the old war posters. She could picture him leading men into battle and killing commies. She gently pulled the bandage back to have a look. It actually looked pretty good. "It's been treated." She said mainly to herself. "Yeah. Conn took care of it before he passed out." The man who'd moved away told her. "He used all of his stims to start the healing process." Mur nodded. Stimpacks were good for healing but most people usually forgot to save at least one just in case of infection. She reached out and touched his forehead and pulled her hand back quickly, he was so hot. She popped open her med kit and injected him with a stimpack. And then another one just for good measure. She gently changed his bandage and then covered him with a blanket. "You need to give him twenty four hours or so to get back on his feet." Mur told the intense man, assuming that he was leader of the small company. He nodded and then looked over at Agatha. "Caravans?" "Nothing for a few days." Agatha said with an eye roll. "Check the attitude old woman, I'm barely holding onto my temper as it is." The intense man growled. "I'm going to go out and tend my garden." Agatha said and stomped toward the door. "Come on dear." "The girl stays." The intense mad said leaving no room for argument. Agatha huffed and threw her hands up in the air, exiting the small shack. "Sit." The intense man barked the order at Mur and she went and took her place at the table again. He sat in Agatha's vacated chair and the other two just plopped on the floor next to the bed. Their hands rested on their guns and they looked like sentries guarding their fallen comrade. "So, uh are you Agatha's grandkid or something?" The man who'd moved asked. "She's one of those damn vault dwellers." The intense man said before she could answer. "How do you figure that commander?" The third man asked looking her over. "It's that lily white skin." He reached out and lightly ran a finger over Mur's nose. "Have you ever seen a sunburned nose on a Wastlander?" "I never have." The third man said thoughtfully and then asked, "So what's it like in a vault?" Mur shuddered a bit. Just thinking about the vault made her break out in a sweat. "Go into a large bunker and never come out." Mur told the men. "Man that would suck." The third man said. "I'm Drake by the way. Drake Robertson." "I'm Beck Sloan." The man sitting next to him said. "And that's Commander Wyatt Thane. And of course you met Connor. He's Wyatt's brother." Wyatt just leaned back in the chair and closed his eyes. "Don't get chummy with the vault dweller." He told the men and then changed his mind, opening his eyes to look at Mur. He looked nothing like his brother. He was handsome in a square jawed harsh kind of way. His skin was darkly tanned, as per wasteland standards, and his hair was black. His eyes were a bit disturbing though. They were a turbulent blue gray that didn't seem to match the rest of him. "What's your name?" He asked. Mur opened her mouth to reply when Conn started groaning a little bit. She got up and went to check on him. She was very aware of Wyatt getting up and moving to stand stiffly behind her as she put her hand on Conn's forehead. "The stims are working already. He feels quite a bit cooler." She said and then pushed her hand under his neck. "Help me sit him up and one of you grab a bottle of water out of my pack." Wyatt reached down, grabbed the front of Conn's armor and hauled him into a sitting position. "Fuck Wyatt take it easy." Conn grumbled as he opened his eyes. "Here." Beck handed her a bottle of open Aqua Pura. "Drink a sip at a time." Mur told Conn gently. When he was done he turned his head away. Beck took the bottle back. Conn looked at Mur with those same stormy eyes that his brother had. "Well, hello there beautiful." "Well, hello there handsome." She said back with a chuckle. "So I'm still alive then." He smiled. "What makes you think I'm not an angel?" She asked. Wyatt chuckled behind her. "Because all of us Talon Company mercs are hell bound." Conn said and closed his eyes. Mur laid him back down gently and he seemed to nod off right away. "With the way that he's improving you might be able to move him in twelve hours." Mur said turning to look up at Wyatt. "No. We'll stay until he's well." There was no way in hell that Wyatt was going to take a chance with Conn's health. He went and sat back down in his vacated chair. "Come and sit back down." He commanded her. Mur raised an eyebrow but did as he said. "Name?" He asked. "Oh. Mur." "Mur?" He asked with a sneer. "Short for?" "Nothing. Just Mur." She hedged a bit. "I don't like liars and I don't like being lied to." Wyatt leaned forward and looked at her with eyes that had gone from turbulent to downright frightening. "So please. Lie to me again. Go ahead." "My name is Persephone but when I was two my father started calling me Murphy." "Why?" Beck asked. "Murphy's law." Conn said from the bed. He turned his head to look at her. "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Are you clumsy?" "You have no idea." She said with a blush. Conn smiled and closed his eyes. "I like Mur. It's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." He told her. "Don't mind Wyatt. He's just worried about me." "No, he acts that way all the time." Beck said and Drake nodded. "They complement each other really." Drake told her. "Two sides of the same coin." Conn said with a laugh. "I wouldn't know that you're brothers accept you have the same color of eyes." Mur said. "Your personalities seem very different too." "I'm the sensitive one." Conn said with a charming smile. "What are you then?" Mur asked Wyatt. "I'm the sadistic one." He told her leaning back and closing his eyes. "Conn get some rest, we can't stay here too long." "Did I mention that I hate Super Mutants." Conn grumbled, ignoring his brother's order. "They're not all bad." Mur said. All of the men looked at her as if she'd lost her mind. "Well it's true." She said stubbornly. "There are two very wonderful Super Mutants that live in Megaton." "How can you be on good terms with Super Mutants?" Drake asked with disgust. "Fawkes and Uncle Leo are different than the others of their breed. They're kind and warm hearted. They think before they act." She made a face. "And they don't eat people." Every one of the men gave a shudder. All of them had encountered a Super Mutant gore bag at some time or other. A few months ago Wyatt had almost ended up in one himself. He'd been ambushed and knocked unconscious by a couple of Mutants. If it hadn't been for Conn tracking the Mutants and busting through the door at the last moment he would have been mutant meat. "You guys can't be bothered by that." Mur stated. "Why not?" Beck asked. "Because you're Talon Company." "And?" Drake asked. "Well you guys are the worst of the worst. You take the contracts that the other mercs don't." "We may take the contracts that the other mercs don't but that's it. We find our quary and make our kills. We're not like raiders. We don't torture and mutilate our victims. You won't find bodies on hooks and skeletons lying in pools of blood around our home." Wyatt said setting Mur strait. "Yeah, you ever been to a raiders camp before?" Drake asked, wrinkling his nose. "Man that shit stinks!" Beck retched a bit at the thought of it. Agatha came back in and went to her rocking chair, ignoring the men in the room. She sat down and covered herself with a worn quilt. "How's the garden coming along Agatha?" Mur asked. "Oh, it's coming along wonderfully." Agatha told her with a smile. "Everything is growing like a weed. But it's all very large." "It's the radiation in the soil mutating it. It's really nothing to worry about." She told the old woman. "Some of the things that we're growing in Megaton are coming out in giant proportions too. It's more food for everyone. How's the purifier holding up?" "That's doing well too. I haven't had any problems. It's so nice to have clean water at hand all the time." "Good. I'll make sure to have a good look at it in the morning before I head back to Megaton." "Purifier?" Conn asked curiously from the bed. "Yeah. There were ten of us that left the Vault around eight months ago and made our way to Megaton. A couple of us got together with Nathan the old man that runs the water processing plant there. We studied Aiden's father James's work on the big purifier and reverse engineered it to make a smaller version for Megaton. After that we made an even smaller version that Agatha has agreed to test out for us." "So you're an egghead." Wyatt commented. "A cute egghead." Conn said with a chuckle. Mur smiled but didn't miss the serious look that passed between the two men. For some reason she felt that it didn't bode well for her. "So Megaton doesn't need the Aqua Pura anymore?" Drake asked. "We still take small shipments for drinking because a lot of the water we purify is going to the gardens and such." "Enough." Wyatt told them. "We need to rest. Drake you're first guard shift. Two hours." "Yes sir." Drake said and got up to go put his back to the shack's door. "Beck you're second and I'll be third." "Yes sir." Beck said, making himself comfortable against a wall. Mur grabbed her jacket off the back of her chair and wrapped herself in it. Then she got up and went to sit in front of the bed. She put an arm on the bed and laid her head on it, closing her eyes. She felt Conn's hand move a bit and stroke her hair for a second and then stop. She didn't mind. People who were injured usually needed some kind of comfort. Wyatt got up from his chair and went to sit next to Mur which put his head close to Conn's shoulder. He leaned back and lightly rested his head against his brother. "I'll be okay." Conn said to Wyatt in Russian, the native tongue of their father. "I know. I'm still entitled to worry." Wyatt said back. "What about the girl?" Conn asked. "We'll take her with us. We could use a water purification system at the bunker." "Yeah, not having to hunt down or buy so much water will ease the strain on the whole company." Conn chuckled quietly. "What?" Wyatt asked. "I want her. What about you?" "Fuck yeah I want her. I want to shove my cock so far up her ass it's comes out her mouth." He turned to look at Mur. "I don't know about taking a woman back to the bunker though." "Jabsco is dead and you're the commander now. Things are going to be different." "Yeah, I guess." "Stop doubting yourself brother." Conn growled a bit angrily. "Of course you're right." Wyatt laughed. "We're fucking Talon Company. We take what we want and we want her." "I'll bet you ten caps she's got a nice tight pussy." Conn said with a yawn. "I can't wait to find out." "Sleep for now Conn." "Yeah." Conn let himself nod off knowing that Wyatt would protect him. As soon as Mur's heart stopped racing and her stomach stopped jumping she let herself nod off too. It wasn't like she could actually do anything to change her situation. Not right now anyway. Aiden wouldn't come looking for her for at least a week if not two because sometimes she liked to wander a bit or she stayed with Agatha longer than expected, making sure that the old woman was comfortable. Fallout 3 - Talon Company Ch. 02 Second chapter. Three is in the works. I'm going to try to keep it to one a week if not more. If you're looking for a quickie, sorry, I don't do fluff. Usually. But feel free to enjoy the story anyway. Mac *** She woke when she felt Wyatt get up to take his turn at the door. Conn stroked her hair and shushed her until he fell asleep again. She looked over at Wyatt who just raised his eyebrows as if to tell her to go back to sleep. She closed her eyes and did just that. She woke again when she felt Conn's hand touch her cheek. "How many stims did you give me?" He asked quietly. "Two." She answered. "Do you have any left?" "I have four. Are you feeling bad?" She asked sitting up strait to look at him. "No. A lot better actually." Wyatt got up from the door and went to kneel in front of the bed to look at Conn. "What is it brother?" "I'm getting a hinky feeling. I want to get out of here." "You're not fully healed." Wyatt said with some worry. "I'll limp my ass back to the bunker then." Conn growled. "Is the feeling for us or this place." "Us." "All right let's blow." Wyatt said. "A hinky feeling?" Mur asked. "Really? It's the middle of the night." "Last time I didn't listen to Conn about one of his feelings I was fourteen and almost lost my fucking leg to a Yao Guai." Wyatt said curtly with a glimmer of remembered ire. "Grab your shit. We're leaving." "What about Agatha?" She asked almost desperately. "She'll be fine." Conn assured her. He sat up and winced a bit but it wasn't too bad. Thanks to the stims his leg was almost healed. More stiff and sore than anything else. Conn thanked his lucky stars that the pre-war technology like stimpacks were still around. He'd still be limping his way to the bunker though. There was no way in hell he was staying here. Mur got up and helped Conn to his feet. He put an arm around her shoulder and leaned heavily on her. She hoped he wasn't going to do it too long. He and his brother we both large men. Probably six four to her five four and they were heavily muscled. Wyatt went and woke the others and they moved around as quietly as possible. Mur rolled her eyes but didn't tell them that an atomic bomb wouldn't wake the snoring old woman. Drake grabbed her pack off the table and held onto Conn while she put it on. When they got outside Wyatt went to the power source of Agatha's radio and pulled out the fission battery. Mur started to protest but Conn shushed her. Wyatt chucked the battery as hard as he could and Mur knew there was no way that the old woman would be able to find it. She also wouldn't be able to broadcast that Mur had been taken by Talon Company mercs. She'd just have to wait for someone to come and check on her or for a caravan to show up. "Let's move out." Wyatt barked as he went to Conn's other side and took his arm around his shoulders, taking most of the weight off of Mur. "Are we just going to stumble around in the dark?" Mur asked with agitation. "The moon is full and there's no cloud cover. Your eyes will adjust soon." Conn said giving her arm a pat. He was right of course. It was actually a fairly bright night. Conn's legs were long so even though he was injured they ate up the pavement, making great progress. After about an hour though Mur just stopped walking and Wyatt had ripped Conn's arm off of her shoulders before they realized it. "I have to pee." Mur said standing very still, even though her eyeballs were bobbing and she just wanted to do the pee pee dance. "Bad." "I've got to relieve myself too." Conn said sympathetically. Everyone moved off to do their business, Mur behind a strategically placed thick bush. She knew better to try and run off though. She'd only been out in the Wasteland for eight months and these were seasoned soldiers that she was with. They'd hunt her down in a mere few minutes time and there was no telling what they'd do to her. Images of Wyatt and Conn doing some of those things they'd wanted to popped into her head. Knowing Wyatt he'd do it right there on the road with everyone cheering him on. She winced and her stomach jumped at the same time. She was such a pervert. After a few minutes everyone was back on the road and Conn was now walking without assistance. Mur had to marvel at the wonder of stimpacks. They could provide almost immediate healing for minor wounds and a major one like Conn's could be healed in a matter of hours to days instead of weeks to months. After about an hour of walking Drake's stomach growled loudly. He stopped and looked down at it with a grimace. "I hate Super Mutants." Beck said when his stomach growled too. Mur shook her head and pulled her pack off her shoulders and dug a large punga fruit out. She handed it to Drake and he pulled the combat knife out of the sheath at his shoulder and proceeded to cut the fruit up. She pulled out a bottle of Aqua Pura and passed it around while Drake passed the fruit out. "I'm assuming Super Mutants stole your lunch money and gave you pink bellies?" Mur asked with a smile. Each of the men started grumbling about Super Mutants again so Mur decided to take that as a yes. She started laughing and Wyatt walked over and stopped in front of her. He leaned down to look her in the eye and flicked the end of her nose. "You think that's funny little sister?" He asked a bit of a Russian accent showing itself. "Da, I do." She said and then in Russian, "I'm not the one who got my ass spanked by a Mutant. And speaking of asses, I'm not really into that kind of thing." Wyatt stepped away, taken aback by her speaking to him in Russian. He looked over at Conn who was blushing a bright red. Mur shrugged her pack back onto her shoulders and started walking, not giving either of the men a chance to apologize. Not that they were likely to anyway. "Should we..." Drake trailed off. "Go." Wyatt said with irritation. "We'll catch up with you." Wyatt watched the other two men catch up to Mur and then turned to look at Conn. "Wow. I've never been called out like that before." Conn said looking a bit confused. "I can't believe she speaks Russian." Wyatt said with a shake of his head. "Does this mean that we can't..." "Of course not." Wyatt said with a laugh. "We'll just have to not spill our plans in front of the girl anymore." "Wyatt, you know I like my women willing." Conn said to his brother. "We both do, Conn." Wyatt stroked his chin a bit. "We still want her, da?" "Da." "So we either finesse her or tame her." "I don't know Wyatt. Father always said taming was for women that you intended to keep. Is that something that you're really contemplating?" "Da, it's crossed my mind. I'm tired of the hunt. I'm tired of paying for it. I'm tired of us not having our own woman. We're thirty three Conn. It's time to settle down a bit." Conn rubbed the back of his neck. He'd been thinking along those same lines for almost a year now. It was something that he hadn't voiced to Wyatt yet though. "We're Talon Company." Conn said. "So what? We haven't been the same since that damn vault dweller Aiden and those steel knights took out most of our people. Between those that haven't come back and those that left we're down to twenty mercs including us." Wyatt sighed. "All I'm saying is that things need to change. There are fewer of us. We have caps out the ass, so we can be a little choosier about the contracts that we take." "We're going to have to be choosier because some of the others are thinking along the same lines." "Why didn't they voice that to me then?" Wyatt asked angrily. "Cause you're a wonderful leader but a little bit volatile sometimes." Wyatt sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "How many?" "All of them." Conn said with a shrug. "All of them?!" Wyatt asked incredulously. "Yeah. Well accept for that bitch Angel. All of the others have had brushes with death lately and then most of the base being wiped out on top of that. Well, makes you think. I'm kind of tired of so many close calls, especially this last one." He tapped his hurt leg. "You know the life expectancy of Mercs here in the Wasteland?" "Yeah, you and I are practically old timers." "Exactly. I definitely think that you and I are both on the same page. And the others are there with us as well." "All right. As soon as we get back to the base we need to pull everyone back in and have a meeting. Let's let the others voice their opinions and then we'll go from there." "Sounds good to me." Conn said slapping Wyatt on the back. "Now give me a shoulder so we can hurry and catch up with the others." "Fine." Wyatt said and took Conn's arm around his shoulder and they started walking. "But we need to walk behind Mur for a bit." "Why?" "So we can get a really good look at her ass idiot." Wyatt said with an eye roll. "Oh yeah. I forgot how much you like ass." Conn chuckled. "I'm surprised you don't go for men too." "I've had a guy before." Conn stopped walking mouth hanging slightly open. "You have? When? Where? Who?" Wyatt got Conn walking again. "A couple years ago over in Rivet City. It was just someone passing through." Wyatt shrugged. "It was right after the bridge incident." "Oh yeah." Conn said wrinkling his nose. "You were laid up in the clinic. I was horny as fuck and he was willing." "How was it?" Conn asked curiously. "Did you like it?" "Meh. It was okay. He could have sucked the paint off the ship. I'm not one of those ass is ass guys though. It didn't take me very long to figure out that I may love ass but it's got to be a woman." "Wow, you never said anything." "It honestly wasn't that memorable." "And you were afraid I'd give you shit about it." Conn said poking him. Wyatt just laughed. "What?" Conn demanded. "How about you don't give me shit about the guy in Rivet City and I don't give you shit about Willow." Conn sucked in a breath. He'd never told anyone about sleeping with the Ghoul. "How the hell?" "I have my ways." Wyatt chuckled evilly and then retched a bit in disgust. "By the way. Fucking eww." "Yeah, you're telling me. I love Willow's personality but she was hard and squishy in all the wrong places. It was like..." "Ahh, no stop." Wyatt held up his hand. "You say one more word and I'll shoot you in your other leg." Conn laughed. "It didn't take me long to figure out that ghouls are definitely not my shot of vodka either." Conn said. They both laughed about their "unique" adventures and put on a bit of speed to catch up with the others. They walked behind the other for aways and Wyatt watched the rhythmic sway of Mur's behind as if he were hypnotized. Mur turned her head to look back at the men and Wyatt looked up at her and winked. Her faced flamed and she sped up just a bit, getting ahead of everyone and then suddenly stopped dead when she heard a small chirp. "What's wrong?" Wyatt asked quietly, catching up to her and pulling her back against his chest protectively. She brought her arm up to look at a small red tick on her pip-boy and put her hand to the small plasma pistol at her hip. "Fifteen yards strait up the road." She moved away from Wyatt, shrugged out of her pack, and pulled it open. She rooted around for a second and then came out with a plasma grenade. Wyatt grabbed the grenade and handed it to Conn. "What other goodies do you have in there?" Wyatt asked with a smile. "Fire in the hole." Conn said and lobbed the grenade very accurately. It rolled to a stop underneath a somewhat confused looking Yao Guai and detonated. Wyatt turned Mur at the last second and held her head pressed into his chest. "Hoo hoo! There's nothing left but pieces!" Drake said running over to give the things head a kick. "Okay?" Wyatt asked pulling her away from his chest to look her over. She nodded. "Anymore?" She looked at her pip-boy and shook her head. "Okay, let's move out!" He barked at Drake and Beck who were happily kicking pieces of the Yao Guai. "Everyone stay close. Let's hope there aren't more in the vicinity." "Nice throw Conn." Beck said. "Thanks." Conn said with a chuckle. They walked for close to twelve hours in total before Wyatt called them to a halt in front of a derelict power station. "This is Power Station VAPL 58." Wyatt informed Mur. "We'll bed down here for a while. Beck, Drake, radroaches." "Yes, sir." They both said. They pulled out their holstered pistols and went into the building. There was a shot and Beck came out holding a radroach by a hind leg. "Just the one sir." He said setting it next to the door. "Drake can start a fire and I'll pull the meat off it." Wyatt nodded and he, Conn, and Mur went into the building. Mur looked around while Wyatt helped Conn sit down on a mattress in one corner. Conn massaged his aching leg and Wyatt plopped next to him. "Hey, Dean's Electronics." Mur said grabbing the small book off a shelf. "I haven't read volume 8. Awesome!" She plopped down in a derelict chair and started reading. It didn't take her long to lose herself in the book. "Do you speak any other languages besides English and Russian?" Conn asked getting Mur's attention. "Sure. Gaelic, Chinese, and Pig Latin." She turned to look at them. "Ouyay areway othbay Erksjay andway I'mway otnay ettinglay ouyay anywhereway earnay ymay assway. Irtday agsbay." She went back to perusing the book. "You are both jerks and I'm not letting you anywhere near my ass. Dirt bags." Beck translated from the doorway. "Hey uh, Mur, do you have any spices in your bag?" Mur stopped reading and opened a small pocket at the front of her pack and took out a small combination salt/pepper shaker. She tossed it to a grateful Beck. "Why?" Conn asked her. "What do you mean why?" She asked with a frown. "Have you ever tasted radroach without any salt and pepper?" "No. Why do you speak so many languages?" "Duh. I lived in a vault. It's not like there was much to do but study." "Makes sense." Conn said. Wyatt didn't say anything, just sat there. "What are you thinking brother?" Conn asked after a few moments. "I'm picturing my cock sliding in and out of her ass." Wyatt said with a grin. Mur started blushing furiously and turned away to stick her nose in her book. She couldn't read a word though. She just kept picturing herself being held securely by Conn while Wyatt took her ass. It wasn't something that she'd ever considered herself doing before but now that Wyatt had planted the thought in her head. Well damn. "Food's ready." Beck said bringing in hunks of Radroach on a stick and passing it around. Mur pulled another punga fruit out of her bag and held it out to Beck who cut it up and passed it out as well. Then came another bottle of Aqua Pura. "I don't suppose you have anything a little more stout in there do you?" Conn asked with a grimace as he rubbed his leg. "Some Vodka would be nice." "No sorry. I can give you another stimpack if you want." She told him sympathetically. "No, that's okay." Conn sighed. "I'll live." "Yeah me too." Beck said tossing a chunk of meat into his mouth. "But I'm still going to drink myself into a stupor when we get back to the bunker." The other men all nodded in agreement and Mur wrinkled her nose. "What you don't like booze?" Wyatt asked with a raised eyebrow. "They probably didn't even have booze in your vault." "They did actually." And she would know because her father was always the one to fix the still whenever there was a problem with it. "I just don't drink." "You've obviously never had a well aged whiskey then." Drake commented. "No." Mur laughed. "That's not it at all. I can't drink. I'm allergic to alcohol. I puke up any kind of booze that goes in." "What about beer?" Beck asked. "That's even worse." She made a face. "I puke up bubbles." "That sucks." Beck said with a shake of his head. "I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't have a cold beer every now and then." "You can't miss what you don't really know." Mur told him with a shrug. They finished eating in silence each man thinking about what they wanted to do once they got back to the bunker. After they were done Conn groaned and rubbed his leg a bit. He crawled onto the mattress and fell back covering his eyes with an arm. "I'm getting too old for this shit." He remarked. The others nodded their agreement but didn't say much on the subject even thought Beck looked like he wanted to comment. "I'll take first shift." Wyatt said. "Beck you're second and Drake you're third." "Yes, sir." Both men said with a nod. "We only have around six hours left to go, less if Conn's leg is better when he wakes up." Wyatt said calculating the time. "Best make it six, commander." Drake commented and looked over at Mur. "What?" She asked looking at Drake. "You're legs are shorter than ours." Drake told her delicately. He was right of course. Wyatt and Conn were six four, Drake was probably six three, and Beck was around six one or two. She shrugged. It really couldn't be helped. They were the ones who took her so they'd have to put up with her shorter gait. "With the way that things are going we won't make it before dark." Wyatt said. "All of you get some sleep." Drake and Beck settled back on the floor shutting their eyes. Wyatt shut the power station door plunging the room into darkness and put his back to the door. Mur's pip-boy light came on illuminating the room and drawing four pairs of eyes to her. "What is it?" Wyatt asked with a bit of annoyance. "I gotta pee." She said with hunched shoulders. "Me too." Conn said, making her feel better. He got up and put out his hand. "Come on Mur you get my back I'll get yours." She grabbed her pack and let Conn help her to her feet. Wyatt opened the door of the power station and escorted them outside. Mur went around a corner and did her business quickly fearing that the men would come around the corner at any moment. She looked up as she finished buckling her belt when she heard a small chirp and turned her arm shining her pip-boy light off into the distance. She saw three mole rats headed her way at a dead run. She cocked head and watched the creature's progress. Wyatt and Conn walked around the corner to see what was keeping her. When they saw the mole rats in her light they pulled their pistols. "Just watch." Mur said with a smile of anticipation. Both men looked at her with confusion and concern but didn't shoot right away. When they got within ten feet of Mur the mole rats all slid to a stop two of them actually bumping into the third. They climbed all over each other, growling and started backing away slowly. Mur took a step toward them and they ran off as quickly as they'd come. "What are you the mole rat whisperer?" Conn asked with a laugh. "How the hell did you do that?" Wyatt demanded to know. Mur opened her bag and pulled out a foot long, two inch around stick that had a noxious green substance on the end. She waved it under the noses of the two men who batted it away. "Moira made this. It's a mole rat repellent stick. It's made from a combination of jet and psycho." Mur laughed. "It repels them alright. If you do manage to hit them with it they have an extreme reaction." "What's that?" Conn asked. "Well they start smoking and then their heads explode." Mur shrugged. "I haven't had one Mole Rat bother me since I started carrying it around." "Fucking amazing." Conn said with a befuddled smile. "Let's get back in. I need to lie down." They all went back to the power station and went inside. Conn dragged her over to the mattress and insisted she lay down with him. She didn't put up a fight though. She was tired from walking for so long that day. She snuggled onto his chest and let herself fall into the oblivion of sleep. Fallout 3 - Talon Company Ch. 03 Hey everyone, this one is a bit short but the next one will be longer and much hotter! Votes and Comments are welcome, I thrive on the encouragement. Mac *** Mur woke up in complete darkness. She was on her back, Conn on one side of her and Wyatt on the other. Conn was holding her hands above her head and lazily running his free hand over her stomach making it jump. Wyatt was holding a hand over her mouth and kneading her breast with his free hand. Mur made a small noise and Wyatt ran his hand down to wrap around her neck and squeezed just a bit. The message was clear. No noise. She nodded almost desperately and his hand stopped squeezing and went back up to cover her mouth again. He leaned over and kissed her nose. "Good girl." He whispered so low she almost didn't hear him. He stopped kneading her breast and started focusing on a nipple. He began circling it gently with his thumb and then more and more firmly until her nipples became rock hard pebbles. Her nipples had always been sensitive and just when she thought that the sensations couldn't get any better Wyatt pinched her nipple, making her shudder. Conn slid his fingers toward the band of her pants and slipped his finger inside. He grazed her swollen clit once. Twice. "Commander?" They all heard Drake ask quietly. "Yes?" Wyatt asked calmly. "It's time." Drake told him. Wyatt and Conn sighed. Mur just groaned. "Okay, everyone up!" He barked. Wyatt and Conn let go of Mur and she took a few moments to regain her composure, reciting Newton's laws. An object at rest remains at rest unless acted upon by a force. An object in motion remains in motion, and at a constant velocity, unless acted upon by a force. Oh, they'd acted on her alright and her body was still in motion. She tingled from the top of her head down to her toes. Ok, deep breath pervert. The acceleration of a body is directly proportional to, and in the same direction as, the net force acting on the body, and inversely proportional to its mass. Wyatt and Conn had definitely put force on her body pushing her towards pleasure. When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to that of the first body. Oh, she wanted to exert that pleasure- Stop, stop, stop! "You okay?" Drake asked her. She looked up at him. "I'm fine." She gave him a wan smile. "I just want to sleep somewhere a bit more comfortable and safe is all." "That's understandable." Drake grinned. "I don't suppose you have any more fruit left?" She laughed. "You lucked out. I have one more." "Oh, you're so awesome!" She gave him the fruit and he cut it up and passed it out. Wyatt went outside to have a good look at the sun's position and Conn joined him. "You're frowning." Conn commented. "How's the leg?" Wyatt asked. "It's good." Conn bounced a bit on it. "Doesn't even hurt anymore. The rest is what I needed most I think." Wyatt nodded. "I want to get home. We need to move fast." Wyatt looked back at the power station. "You're worried about pushing the girl too hard?" Conn asked. "Da." "She walked for twelve hours last night without a complaint." Conn reminded him. "True." "Mur!" Conn called out and she appeared in the doorway of the power station. He beckoned with a finger. "Come here little sister." "What's up?" She asked coming to stand in front of them. "How's the leg?" "It's good." Conn knocked his fist on his leg. "Right as rain." "It doesn't rain the wasteland." Mur said. "You've got a smart mouth." Wyatt said, flicking the end of her nose. "It's going to get you in trouble." She didn't say anything to that just raised her eyebrows and looked at them expectantly. "I know you didn't bitch last night but how's your endurance?" Wyatt finally asked. "It's okay. Why?" "Because we want to turn six hours into three." Conn said honestly. "We don't want to be out in the waste until two in the morning. There are some nastier things than us if you can believe that." Mur rolled her eyes and pulled her plasma pistol out of the holster at her hip and pointed it at Wyatt. Both men stiffened and their eyes became hard, telling her that she'd better not miss and she'd better have a magic bullet that would hit both of them. Her pip-boy gave a small chirp and she moved the gun slightly to the left and fired three shots between the two of them. They turned to look behind them with wide eyes and saw the dead smoking body of a Yao Guai not more than twenty feet from them. They hadn't even heard the thing coming and it likely would have killed one if not both of them. "Aiden found this little beauty in his travels. This is the MPLX Novasurge. It's similar to a plasma pistol but does three times as much damage." She put the pistol back in her holster. "I assure you that there may be nastier things than you but they're not going to get the jump on me." "You could have used that on us at any point." Conn said warily. "That would be stupid of me." She said to him as if he were actually the stupid one. "Even if I did manage to take out a few of you there are four of you and one of you was bound to blow my head off." "How practical of you." Wyatt said nastily. Mur shrugged and headed back into the power station. "We'll make it in three hours as long as you let me pee first." She informed them. "Crazy bitch." Wyatt mumbled looking back at the still smoking Yao Guai. "Da." Conn agreed. "I like her." They got started on their journey again after a few minutes and Mur was good at her word keeping up with the men. She was actually in really good shape being a runner. If she hadn't been studying back at the vault she'd been running or walking on one of virtual treadmills in the gym. She'd loved the treads. They were regular treadmills that had virtual reality goggles attached to them and they had been one of Mur's only escapes from the vault. And of course the only thing that she was weighted down with was her pack, not cumbersome combat armor, to Aiden and everyone else's everlasting chagrin. She didn't wear more than a bit of leather because she didn't want to be weighted down if she had to take off running because her pip-boy radar informed her that someone was in the vicinity. The rest of the journey was quick and thankfully uneventful. Wyatt was honestly a bit fearful that they might trip over yet another Yao Guai but they didn't. There had been a small pack of mole rats that had tripped over themselves trying to get away from the small group. When Drake and Beck voiced their astonishment Mur showed them the repellent stick. "Hold!" Came the words as they walked up to the gate that guarded Fort Bannister, the headquarters of Talon Company. "Who goes?" After the attack on the company by Aiden and the Brotherhood they'd buried their comrades, fixed the fence, and built guard stations. The guards had been outfitted with night vision goggles at Wyatt's insistence and he wasn't displeased to see that the men were actually using them. "It's us. Stand down." Wyatt said to the soldier who'd appeared weapon at the ready. The guard didn't stand down. He walked a bit closer to get a good look at the travelers before he put is assault rifle aside and pushed his night vision goggles up on top of his head. "Sir." He said respectfully, as he opened the locked gate. "You did good, Lipinski." Wyatt said to the guard. "Thank you sir." Said Lipinski, standing just a bit straighter. "How goes it?" Wyatt asked. "Quiet night, sir." "Good." "Um, if you don't mind me saying so sir, you're back almost a day late." Lipinski said his tone implying that he'd been worried. He sounded a bit fake to Mur though. "We got ambushed by Super Mutants and I took one to the leg." Conn told Lipinski with a grumble. "And who's this?" Lipinski asked, leering at Mur. He was a squat ugly looking young man and Mur instantly took a dislike to him. She'd caught Drake and Beck sneaking sideways glances at her but nothing like this man. She was completely repulsed by him and she'd bet her gun that he actually had a personality to match his looks. "I'm with them." She said grabbing onto Conn almost desperately. Wyatt frowned and he wrapped an arm around her protectively. Lipinski was a bit abrasive and it took people a while to get used to his personality. The boy was damn handy to have in fight though, considering he was a crack shot with a pistol. "Some other time then." Lipinski said with a shrug and went to close and lock the gate behind the travelers. He flipped his goggles back down and went back to his post. "Lipinski's okay." Beck said reassuringly but Mur shuddered a bit in spite of herself. "Let's go." Wyatt said. He pulled Mur along with him, toward one of the new buildings that housed an entrance to the bunker. Aiden had been here ten months ago and he'd described the bunker in detail to her and a few of the others. This place didn't look a thing like he'd described. There was a large unbroken chain link fence around the perimeter that had razor wire at the top. And guard post for the two entry gates that she could see. There also should have been several falling down ruins but there weren't any that she could see. Just what looked to be four new, large buildings. "It's nothing like Aiden described." Mur said to Conn, who just smiled tightly. "After your damn Aiden came in and took out a large chunk of our numbers we decided that a few things needed to change." He looked around and smiled with pride at the progress. "We've changed a lot. Tore down the old crumbling ruins and built new buildings. Put up a decent fence, built the guard post, and generally made the place less breachable." "Something that Jabsco should have had us doing from the beginning." Wyatt said a bit angrily his accent showing itself. The others nodded their agreement. "I don't mean to speak ill of the dead," Drake said, "but Jabsco was an ass." "Not to mention a coward and a braggart." Beck said sourly. "I don't think he even ever left the bunker." The men were all starting to wear similar bitter faces and so she decided to change the subject. "Where do you get your water from?" Mur asked. "The bunker has its own well system." Wyatt told her. "It's been kept in good working order but we don't drink from it." "Of course." She said. "We have to buy all of our drinking water and it's time consuming as well as expensive." Conn complained. "You don't have any kind of purifier?" She asked with a frown? "There is one but it doesn't work." Wyatt grumbled. "It does a bit." Beck said. "Just not very well." "Maybe it's a filtration system and not a purifier." Mur said. "What's the difference?" Drake asked. "Well, the old purifiers for places like this were more filters than anything else. They weren't really meant to pull that much radioactivity out of water. Especially not the kind from nuclear fallout. That takes some extra effort." "So what do you need and how long will it take?" Wyatt asked. "Well, if you're old purifier is still up and running, I can use that and just tweak it. Provided you have everything I need here, it shouldn't take me more than a week." "And if we don't have everything you need?" Conn asked. "Well then I'll have to make a list and we'll have to scour the waste to find what we need." She shrugged. "So it could take me a lot longer. Anywhere from two weeks to three months." "Three months?" Wyatt thoughtfully rubbed his chin. "Don't get your hopes up." Mur said, wrinkling her nose. "You guys are probably like every other wastelander I've come across and haven't even looked in any of the bunkers closets or storage rooms." "That's not true." Beck said, defending everyone. "We've been through all of the closets and storage rooms." "Yeah, looking for ammo and stims." Mur said unpleasantly. "Tell, me I'm wrong." "Well..." Beck grumbled. "Exactly, I bet I'll find everything here that I need." She sounded more confident than she felt. Conn looked over at Wyatt and winked. "Probably." Wyatt said flicking her nose. "However long you stay Conn and I will endure to make your visit a pleasant one." "For who? You or me?" Wyatt opened the door to the building that they'd just arrived at. "More than likely for us." Conn told her with a laugh as he ushered her into the building. "Welcome to Fort Bannister Mur."
