She made her way to Lab D, pushing everything out of her mind except her knew project. Kali considered the ability to be oblivious a wonderful thing. She could focus on one thing and not worry about anything else, like annoying officers. "Somehow I knew you would disobey my orders," Dornan said from a chair he'd propped in the corner of the lab. The resulting shriek from the good doctor gave him a thrill. "You scared the crap out of me you-" she couldn't think of anything nasty enough to call him. "Now, Doc, I'm pretty sure I told you eight hours. It's been fifteen minutes." He held out his hand. "Come on." "I'm fine," she said ignoring his hand. "I'm not tired." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully as she went to her work table and picked up a project, tuning him out. He let out a sigh knowing there wasn't any help for it. He walked up behind her and bent down to speak quietly in her ear. "You know, Doc, I was kind of hoping that you would use that big brain of yours and do things the easy way." "I don't-"She didn't finish the sentence because Dornan turned her around and hauled her up onto his should like a sack of potatoes. "Quiet!" He pinned her legs with a well muscled arm and gave her a hard smack on the ass. He started out the door and down the hallway. "Son of bitch," she bit out, pounding at his back, until she realized that it wasn't doing her any good. "Put me down," she said as they got into the elevator. He didn't answer her, and she got another slap on the ass for her trouble. He made his way out of the base, onto the grounds, and headed for his quarters. All Kali wanted to do was bury her head in the ground. It was so humiliating to be carted through the entire base this way. Of course nobody commented or offered to help her because Dornan had them all cowed. He finally dumped her onto his bed in his quarters, shutting the door with a quiet click. He stood over the bed, hands on hips, legs slightly spread, and stared down at her with unrelenting resolve in his ice blue eyes. "I will give you ten minutes for a shower." He went to his locker and rummaged around until he found an old t-shirt. "You can sleep in this," he said tossing it to her. "Sergeant-" "Nine minutes." He went and sat at his desk, pulling out some paperwork to go over. "Sergeant-" "Eight minutes." He turned and looked at her. "If I get to five, then I'm just going to have to help you into the shower and I'm sure you don't want that." He watched with satisfaction as she got of the bed, grabbing the shirt, and stomped off to the bathroom. She took longer than the ten minutes that he had allotted her, but he figured if she could bend a bit, then so could he. He grabbed her clothes while she was in the shower and locked them in his trunk, figuring that she wouldn't want to walk the entirety of the base in just one of his t-shirts. "What did you do with my clothes?" Kali came out the bathroom, sat on the bed, and combed her hair. "I put them in my trunk." He smiled wickedly. "I found your lock pick set too." "You went through my pockets?!" "Yep. The clothes are in my trunk, which is locked. The lock picks are in my desk, which is locked. And even if you were inclined to walk out it, the door is locked." "Gee, Sarge, I guess I won't be going anywhere," she said sarcastically. "Nope." He chuckled. "I'm a very light sleeper too." Dornan headed for the bathroom and took the quickest shower of his life. He headed back in the bedroom and found her sitting at his desk, going over his paper work. "You could-" "No way, Doc. I won't tell you how to do your job and you don't tell me how to do mine." He pulled the papers out of her hand and shoved them in a desk drawer. "Where are your clothes," she asked blushing. "Out of respect for your presence little girl, I decided to sleep in my skivvies instead of naked." "Naked?" she asked with an audible gulp. "Is that really a good idea? What if there is a drill or something?" "Darlin, I spend all day cooped up in a suit of power armor. I think my body needs a little time to breath." "I never thought of it like that." "I guess you just didn't spend enough time in your own armor." "I guess the base commander told you my history," she said with a sigh. "Yes, he did." He let out a yawn. "No more talk. Get in bed." "Where are you sleeping?" she asked eyeing the sparse room. He turned and looked at the bed, then looked back at her. "Then where am I sleeping?" He turned and looked at the bed again, then looked back at her. "I don't think so." "You should know not to test me, Doc." He scooped her out of the chair and dumped her on the bed. He flipped the lights out and laid down next to her and yanked the blanket over the both of them. "This is so not appropriate," she said trying to slide out of the bed. He rolled to his side and pulled her roughly against him. When she tried to scream his arms became a vice, holding her so tightly she could barely breath, let alone make any significant noises. "If you scream, it'll hurt my ears," he told her in a quiet but firm tone. "That will make me kind of grumpy, and we don't want that. Do we?" "No," she gasped out. "So, I'm going to let you go and you're going to be a good girl. No getting out of bed and no screaming. Agreed?" "Yes," she said and sucked in a deep breath as he let her go. "You have pale skin," he said attentively. "You're going to have bruises." "Mmm," she said noncommittally. "Sleep," he told her firmly and she did just that. Kali woke up to the smell of coffee. She sat up and saw Dornan sitting at his desk, filling out paper work. "What time is it?" "0600." He looked back at her for a moment then went back to filling out his forms. "That means I slept for eight hours." "Yes." "I haven't slept for more than three hours at time for the last six months." "Jason mentioned as much." "Did you drug me?" "No." "You must be a miracle worker then." "Maybe. Time to get moving," he said standing up and stretching. "I've already used the facilities. I'll give you fifteen minutes." Kali took every one of the fifteen minutes he'd allotted her. She spent most of her time just standing under the hot shower, luxuriating at how refreshed she felt. She dressed in the clothes he left her, a grunt's uniform. How he ever found one in her size, she'd never know. "Coffee?" He motioned toward the pot. "No thanks. I'm not much for coffee." "Huh." He shook his head. "I'm not even human until I've had half a pot." "I found your power armor in your lab." He said and got up from his desk and motioned toward the chair, that he'd set her armor on. "I'll help you get it on." "I need to get back to the lab." "You're making my rounds with me today." "But-" "No buts, Doc. Today, you're a soldier and you'll take orders like one. Tomorrow I'll let you be an egghead." "Yes, sir!" She snapped off a smart salute. "You can call me Sergeant or Sergeant Dornan. Your choice." "Sir is respectful." "I work for a living. I won't be called sir." "All right. It's your choice to make. Sarge." She winked at him. Dornan shook his head at Kali's antics. She was in a good mood and obviously decided not to hold last night against him. He really didn't enjoy being so harsh with her. Dornan was of the opinion that women were rare and wonderful things, especially in post apocalyptia. And truth be told, if his dick could talk, it would call them goddesses. She had constantly tried to snuggle with him in her sleep and no matter how many times he'd pushed her away she'd come back. Sleeping with her had played hell with his libido last night, but he had nothing if not self control. Of course it helped ease his mind that he'd promised himself that he would fuck the good doctor, sometime in the near future. Kali dropped down to lay on Dornan's bed. She ached from head to toe. Dornan had so many responsibilities that she wasn't sure how he kept up day in and out. Not to mention she had forgotten what it was like to wear power armor. The armor was a wonder and a burden at the same time. It completely encased a soldier from head to toe making you much less vulnerable to weapons fire. It was an enhancement to muscles so you could lift twice as much. And the helmet had quite a few goodies to including binoculars, auto targeting, and a navigation program, all of which responded to certain eye movements. On the down side Kali felt like she was trapped in a tin can, all day. "You've got a shit eating grin on your face, Doc," Dornan said from his desk chair. "I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed being a soldier." "It may have put the gray in my hair, but I enjoy it too." Kali looked over at Dornan and tried not to smile. She felt that the shock of gray in his black hair made him look even more handsome. She wasn't the only woman on the base who had noticed his classically handsome features. "I wish it could have lasted a bit longer for me," she said wistfully. "I've heard you've made some pretty significant advances in the technology you work with." "Where I come from survival was important and brains didn't necessarily triumph over brawn." She looked at her small hands. "My father was a great warrior." "A warrior? You're a tribal?" "Yes. My father was the chief of out tribe. He taught me that my brains were okay, but they wouldn't let me survive in the waste, no matter how much I knew. I needed what he call "practical" knowledge. He was hard on me a lot, but I survived my childhood, fit and healthy. He wasn't one for giving praise unless it was earned." "Maybe that's why you took so well to being a soldier." "Yeah. I felt a wonderful sense of accomplishment when I showed the brass at the enclave that I deserved to join." "I understand." "Really?" "More than you know, Doc." He shook his head ruefully. "Most people look at me and all they see is a big dumb brute." "But you're not." "Nope. I'm not only big, but I'm fast too. I'm also fairly intelligent. Not as brainy as you, but I can run circles around most people." "I need a shower," she groaned and rolled off the bed. "I'll let you have it first," Dornan said chuckling as he remembered his first few weeks in power armor. "I need to go to my quarters, Sergeant Dornan." "I don't think so, Darlin." "You've made your point, Sergeant. I promise to get at least eight hours." "Sorry, Doc. I can't trust you to walk by your lab and not have all the good intentions fly out of that brainy head." She opened her mouth to argue with him and then thought better of it. She went to the bathroom, managed to get out of her armor, and got in the shower. He was probably right. She did tend to get caught up in her projects. Besides, if she was going to be completely honest with herself, sleeping with the Sergeant last night had been wonderful. He was big and warm and she felt wonderful, having just connected with someone. "I left you some hot water," she told him, once again dressed in one of his t-shirts, he'd left on the sink for her. She sat at his desk while he showered and pulled a pen and a blank piece of paper from one of the drawers. She had an idea for her latest project and since she had no access to her lab she might as well write down her thoughts. Dornan came out of the bathroom and saw that Kali was asleep at his desk. As he got closer he saw that she had been writing notes and drawing what looked to be schematics. He scooped her up out of the chair and she snuggled into his chest with a contented sigh. He laid her down and got in bed next to her and pulled the blankets over them. She cuddled up onto his shoulder and he lightly stroked her short brown hair. He could definitely get used to this. Kali could have kissed Dornan when he led her to her lab in the morning. She'd had a breakthrough last night and was eager to implement her ideas. "Eight hours, Doc." He watched her for a moment as she practically skipped around the lab, gathering materials. Jason came by the lab several hours later to bring her some lunch. He stayed to make sure she ate all of it and listen to her report on her present project. He was very happy with the speed in which she was progressing. Dornan was obviously good for the girl. "Let's go, Doc." Dornan said from the doorway. "Your eight hours are up." "Five more minutes," she said hurrying to finish. "You're not using that big brain, Doc." Dornan warned her. She looked longingly at her project, then set it down on the table and started putting her tools away. She really didn't feel like being carried through the base again. And Dornan's approving nod just seemed to make everything worthwhile. "So, Doc, you have a productive day?" "You saw the commander." "Oh, yeah." "And what did he say?" "He went on and on about how you were making so much progress, in such a short time." "Really?' "Yep. He also went on and on about how it was all my doing and how I'm such a miracle worker." He puffed his chest out a bit. "Check the ego at the door, Sarge." She gave him a shove that didn't budge him at all. Fallout 2 - Navarro Ch. 03 (:Short chapter:) so forgive me, I promise it leads to some good reading and I'm submitting at least one more chapter right away.. Mac "What's wrong?" Dornan finally asked. Kali hadn't really been tossing and turning, just more of a feeling on his part. "I can't sleep," she finally said. "We have to be up in," he checked the time "three fucking hours." "I can't help it." She sat up and looked at him. "I have a bad feeling." "Okay." He sat up and swung his legs over the side of the bed and got up. "We'll go to the gym and burn off some energy." "Geez, Sarge, I'm still sore from last night's session." "Okay." He plopped back down on the bed and covered himself back up. "I'm going back to bed." "Dornan." She poked him in the shoulder. "That's the first time you've said my name Kali." "Same goes." He grabbed her shoulders, pulled her down and rolled her under him. He looked down at her for a long moment and then started kissing her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and started kissing him back. Her skin was soft and he ran one of his large hands up her leg, stopping at the hem of her shirt. He reached under the hem and ran his hand over her quivering stomach. "This," he said pulling back,"really shouldn't be happening right now." "Your hard-on pressing into my leg says otherwise." She glared at him. "And you've got me really worked up already. If you back off now, I'm going to get my gun and shoot you." "Ah, Kali," he groaned and started kissing her neck. "Don't say I didn't warn you." "Shut up and put out Sarge." "I like it when you talk dirty." He pulled her up and yanked off her shirt. She felt the urge to be shy and cover he small breast but she didn't. He looked down at them, his blue eyes turning dark. He leaned down, ran a tongue over a small pink nipple, and smiled as she shuddered. There was a loud banging on the door to his quarters. They both stiffened and looked over at the door. "If you're not the base commander then fuck off!" he yelled. He was pissed at being interrupted. "Throw some cloths on and get the fuck out here!" Jason's voiced drifted through the door and he almost sounded panicked. Dornan and Kali had never dressed faster in their lives, but they both knew instinctively that something was really wrong. Kali was hopping on one foot, trying to get her other boot on when Dornan opened the door. Jason strode in along with Ian and two of the communications officers. "What's wrong?" Dornan asked Jason. "Something's happened. We've lost all communication with Alpha Base." "Did you boost the signal," Kali asked, looking at the comms officers. They were identical twins, by the names of Tracker and Hunter Paladin. They were both tribal, like her. And she knew full well that they were very good at their job. "Full, strength," Tracker told her. "And still nothing," Hunter said. "The wind blew pretty hard last night." "Nope," Tracker said. "Hunter's been up and checked all of our equipment." "No damage to any of it," Hunter said. "Which means that the problem is with Alpha Base," she told Dornan and Jason. "The twins already told me as much." Jason ran a hand through his hair. "What do you want to do?" Dornan asked Jason. "I've told Quinn and Raul to get the Vertibirds ready. We need to go and find out what's wrong." "I'm coming with you," Kali told Jason as she went to collect her armor. "No, you're not," said Dornan a bit fiercely. "You'll go back to your quarters." "We might need her scientific expertise," Jason told him. "Fine," Dornan said through gritted teeth. She and Dornan suited up in their power armor and met Jason and a small contingent of men at the vertibird hanger. "I'm not going to lose you before we finish what we started," Dornan said as he buckled her into one of the vertibird seats. Dornan took the seat next to Kali and his presence during the flight helped her keep her unease under control. They were all on edge, being out of contact with Alpha Base. If it was something to do with their communications, she would gladly help them patch things up. As the vertibirds sat down, all of their worst fears were realized. Alpha Base was almost completely leveled. It looked like it had had a bomb dropped on it. Some of the outlying buildings were still standing though. "Fan out and look for survivors," Jason ordered. "I found the president's body," Jason told Dornan when they met up back at the Vertibirds. "This was a whole sale slaughter," Dornan said shaking his head. "So far we haven't found any survivors and I don't think that we're likely too." "Please tell me that you have something good to report," Jason said as Kali and the Paladins came back. "We checked the outlying buildings. No survivors. No bodies." She shook her head sadly. "Okay." "Dornan, can you pilot a vertibird?" "Yes." "So, can I. What about you Commander?" "I have the training. Where are you going with this, Kali?" "Hanger 2 has three vertibirds that survived." She pointed at the one hanger that was still standing. "You can't salvage anymore?" Jason asked. "No. I'm sorry. I can salvage parts probably." "What about fuel?" Dornan asked. "We need to be able to get them back to Navarro." "The fuel and munitions depot is over there." She pointed at the farthest building out. "It wasn't even really touched." "Okay." Jason looked around at the devastation. He took a deep breath and let it out, thinking about the decisions he would have to make now, and in the near future. "Kali?" "Yes, Commander?" "I want you to fly one of the vertibirds back and grab all the techs. Inform them of what's going on. I want all of you to salvage as much technology as you can." "Yes, sir." "Dornan, we'll go and bring all but a skeleton crew back. We need to salvage as many supplies as possible." "Sir." Everyone headed out to start their assigned tasks. Fallout 2 - Navarro Ch. 04 A week later, Dornan was lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling. The entire base had been so busy salvaging everything they could from Alpha Base that Dornan was sure that not a one of them had gotten more than two hours of sleep at a time. And now that everything had been moved and bodies buried, he still couldn't sleep. Not to mention he couldn't really pace because his quarters were full of containers. "Hey," Kali said poking her head into Dornan's quarters. "Couldn't sleep?" "No." "Me either." She walked in all the way holding a blanket and pillow. "My lab and room are completely full of stuff. I can't find my bed. Can I sleep here?" "Darlin, I'm still too keyed up, so if you get in this bed, you aren't going to be sleeping." She dropped her things on a container, climbed onto the bed, and straddled Dornan's hips. She leaned down and kissed him with all the passion that was pent up inside of her. He took her face in his hands and kissed her back, promising himself that if anyone interrupted them, there would be another body to bury. "You're wearing too many clothes, Doc." She looked down and realized that he was only wearing his briefs and she was fully clothed. She rolled of the bed and kicked off her boots, which she hadn't bothered to tie. Her shirt and pants followed. She stood in front of the bed in her bra and panties, smiling at him with a crooked smile. "I take it the rest is my job to take off?" Dornan got off the bed and came to stand in front of her. "Consider it a privilege, Sergeant Dornan Mackay." "He took her hand in his, looking at her fingers. The differences in their sizes amazed him. Everything about her was so tiny. He pushed her hand down his body, placing it on his cock that was hanging out of his briefs. "Are you sure you can handle me?" Dornan knew he was pretty big, but Kali was by no means a virgin and she wasn't intimidated by his size. "I'll give it all I got, Sarge." She gave his cock a squeezed and smiled at his hiss. He pulled off his briefs and made quick work of pulling off her bra and panties. He picked her up and dropped her on the bed and climbed on top of her, dwarfing her frame with his. He kissed his way down from her lips to her small breast and took a small hard nipple in his mouth. She made little moans as he sucked on it, and then gave a moan himself when she reached up and tweaked one of his nipples hard. He ran his hand down to her pussy and dipped a finger inside. She was hot and dripping wet. "Dornan, I'm dying here." "God me too! We'll take more time on the next round." He positioned his cock at the entrance of her pussy and slowly pushed his way in. Kali gave a hiss at the size of him but adjusted quickly and soon his cock was pumping in and out of her tight, hot, pussy. He held himself back until he felt her stiffen and call out his name. Her pussy milked his cock as he came inside of her. "Definitely better than working out at the gym, Sargeant Dornan." Kali told Dornan as he rolled off of her. "Duly noted, Doctor Taylor." 000 "Everyone here?" Jason asked. He'd called a meeting of the senior staff, two weeks after they finished the salvage at Alpha Base. "Yes, sir." Ian nodded. "Good. You all know Bob Dawson, our quartermaster." "Go ahead Bob," Jason said when they all nodded. "I've finished taking stock of what we have." He looked down at his clipboard. "We have plenty for now." "For now?" asked Culuch Limlew, the senior Tech. "All of our supplies have been flown in from Alpha Base from the first day of our stay at Navarro. Alpha Base is gone, so we no longer have a steady supply coming in." "How long we got?" This from Quinn Brody, head of maintenance. "It depends on how well we ration our supplies. A year at the most." Bob shrugged his shoulders, wishing he could give them better news when they all started talking at once. "All right," Jason said motioning for everyone to settle down. "We've all heard the bad news. Any ideas?" "We should move," Kali said, walking into the room with the Paladins following at her heels. "Elaborate, please?" Jason waved them into the room. "We've checked the enclave data base, and used our personal knowledge to put together a map of the region." Hunter spread a map out on the table. "Your personal knowledge?" Quinn asked. "If you hadn't figured it out by now, Kali and the Paladins are tribals." Jason said looking over the map. The others in the room echoed the word as if it were a dirty word. "If it hadn't been for the good Doctor, and the Paladins, we might be in more dire straits, than we are now." Dornan said to the others sternly. "We're going to need their knowledge of this region." "Please proceed." Jason told them. "We've made a map of all the outlying towns. We might want to think about relocating to one of them." Tracker said echoing Kali's earlier statement. "San Francisco is pretty big, isn't it?" Asked Quinn. "Yes, but not a good idea." Kali said shaking her head. "Why not?" asked Jason. "There is a Brotherhood of Steel outpost there." "Steel Knights." Jason pursed his lips. "We could probably get by as long as we don't step on their toes." "Nope." "Why not?" "Frank Horrigan." "That big secret service bastard?"? Dornan asked. "Yeah. He killed the last man guarding the outpost." "Damn," Jason said quietly. "Okay. What about the New California Republic?" "Not good either," Kali said and the Paladins backed her by nodding their head emphatically. "Another Brotherhood base?" asked Dornan sarcastically. "Yes." Kali ignored Dornan's tone. "And the New Califonia Rangers, are based there." Hunter said. "And they really don't like slavers." Tracker put in and the whole room erupted in argument. "Enough," Jason said putting up his hands for silence. "We've all turned a blind eye to some of the Enclave's more shocking practices. We're not going to go there now. Any other options?" "Vault City is not an option," Culuch put in. "I came from there. They're even bigger bigots than the enclave. No offense to anyone here." "But we're civilized," said Bob. "Even if they did accept us, something would happen. One of our men would get into it with the guards and the Commander would level the city trying to get him back." Culuch shook his head. "I left because it was a shitty place to live." "What about New Reno?" Jason asked. "No!" Dornan dropped a fist down on the table. "It's full of booze, drugs, hookers, and casinos. I would never see another good days work out of any of my soldiers again!" They all stood around thinking about it for a few moments and then nodded their agreement. "Klamath is small, mainly a trapper town. I don't think there would be room for all of us." "What about the Den?" Quinn said pointing to the map. "Nope." Hunter said. "Steel Knights," Tracker said. "God damn it." Jason pinched the bridge of his nose. "How about a vault?" Kali asked looking at the map. "Which vault?" Jason asked. "Vault 13 is currently unoccupied." She said pointing to a small spot on the map. "Currently unoccupied?" Dornan asked suspiciously. "Horrigan." Kali stated. "Damn that man to hell," Quinn spat out. "So many lost opportunities because of him." "Dornan, take Kali, Quinn, and a small contingent of men and go check out the vault. Make sure it's habitable." Jason looked the map over. "If we hear good news then we'll make a decision." "What's this "we" stuff commander?" Bob asked out of the blue. "We're not part of the enclave anymore. It's gone." Jason stated. "We're a tribe now. I'm the chief, and you're the elders." "But ultimately the decision is up to you, right?" Bob asked uncertainly. He was an army man through and through, and had thought to be taking orders till he died. "Yes." Jason told him. They all nodded, happy with the Commander's statements, and left the room. All of them accept Doran who lounged against the door frame. "What?" Jason asked "So we're tribals now?" "Yes." Jason said bursting into laughter. "At least until you come back and tell us that it's okay to become vault dwellers." "Pffftt." "Well that's a fine noise to make at your chief," Jason said trying to get his laughter under control. "We're going to head out at 0600, great chief." "Take a vertibird." "Not exactly inconspicuous." Dornan said warily. "I know, but I want you to get there and get back. If the vault is a habitable place for us to live, I want to get moved there as soon as possible." "You feel vulnerable here," Dornan said knowingly. "Yeah." He leaned against a table. "No more back up from Alpha Base." "Yeah." He saluted. "We'll head out in the morning. I'm assuming it will take a day or two for Kali and Quinn to go over the vault." "I want constant radio contact." "I should take one of the Paladins with me." "Done." Jason gave Dornan a sly look. "So what's going on with you and Kali?" "I'm teaching the good doctor how to be a soldier again." He winked at Jason and left the room. "Dornan, looks happier than I've seen him in some time," Ian said from a darkened corner of the room. He walked over and stood next to Jason. There was only two inches difference in the men's height. Their coloring was similar as they were both dirty blonds with light grey eyes. Like Dornan, Ian had been guarding Jason's back for close to twelve years. He was smart and loyal to the death, and Jason valued his opinion, even more than Dornan's. "You think so?" Jason asked "Yeah." "So much has happened." Jason sighed. "I'm feeling so overwhelmed. I don't know if I'm doing the right things." "You were born to be a leader Jase. Don't ever doubt yourself or your decisions." Ian went to stand in front of Jason and he took his face between his hands and kissed him. "Ian." Jason ran his hands down Ian's face and looked into his eyes with love. "How did I ever deserve you?" "Hmm, hmm." A throat cleared and both men broke apart and turned to stare at Quinn and Kali, who stood in the doorway. "Gee, Commander," Quinn said with a shit eating grin. "Kali and Dornan, can keep it in their pants. I think you may be setting a bad example." Ian took a menacing step toward Quinn, who ran behind Kali, laughing his ass off. "Stand down, Ian," Jason said quietly, putting a restraining hand on his shoulder. "Quinn you better wipe that grin off your face or I'm going to let Ian do it for you." "Yes, sir!" Quinn said valiantly trying not to laugh. "Sir?" Kali got his attention. "Yes?" "Quinn and I have put one of the trucks together. I was hoping you'd let us take that instead of the Vertibird." "It wouldn't be as noticeable as the vertibirds." Ian said to Jason. "But they would still travel pretty fast. "Talk to Dornan. I'll leave the decision up to him." Jason told Kali. "Of course you'll keep me informed, Doctor." Kali nodded and she and Quinnheaded out the door. Ian shook his head and smiled over at Jason. "Think we can keep it in our pants until tonight?" Ian asked. Jason laughed and they walked out the door. 000 Kali and Dornan were outside of maintenance loading supplies into the truck. If you could call it a truck. Dornan was sure it was actually some kind of mutated mechanical monster. The truck shell itself was some kind burnt out pre-war army truck. It was open with bars running over the top and side every couple of feet, where a canvas could be attached. The bed was large and had two bench seats running up both sides. It was packed with supplies. The engine was state of the art. Kali and Quinn had taken a few days and pieced the thing together and made it fit the big truck. The engine could probably pull a vertibird on a trailer easily. If it worked out on the trip then Kali and Quinn were going to put another one together for the move. Dornan was half listening to Kali talk when the last thing she said finally registered. "You and Quinn actually walked in on them?" Dornan asked incredulously. "He's your friend and you didn't know he was into guys?" "Well, hell, I knew that. It's just that Jason and Ian are usually, more discreet." "Everyone on the base knows." "Really?" "Yeah. Duh." She rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Thank you for that Doctor Taylor." Kali cringed and then turned to look at Jason and Ian. "It's good to know the entire base knows about our private lives." "Sorry, Commander." Kali shrugged. "Small community. If it makes you feel better, I got quite a few pats on the back for bagging the sarge." "What!?" Dornan looked about ready to have a coronary. "You got to admit you've been in a lot better mood lately sarge." Quinn said from the top of the truck. Doran bunched his muscled and gave the truck a shove hard enough to rock it. Quinn stopped laughing as he toppled of the top of the truck. "Oww." Quinn's head popped around the side of the truck. "Not nice Sergeant." "It'll take a week and a half to get there. Another couple of days to scout the terrain and go over the vault. We'll be back in a three or four weeks," Dornan told Jason. "You be careful out in the waste Dornan. I'd hate to lose my best sergeant." Dornan nodded and saluted smartly. "Let's move out!"Dornan barked. Everyone that was going piled into the truck and they headed out into the waste. Fallout 2 - Navarro Ch. 05 "You sure you know where were going?!" Dornan shouted to Kali. "That's the fifth time you've asked me in the last hour!" Kali shouted back. "Stop worrying! I'm a tribal; I could find my way in the dark on a cloudy night!" "Sarge!" Quinn shouted, slowing the truck to a stop. Just outside the perimeter of the lights was a large pack of death claws. If they'd run over any of them, they'd have had a big problem. Thank god Quinn had the eyes of a hawk. "Four adults and six or seven little ones," Quinn whispered to him. "Back up slowly," Hunter whispered. "Don't back up, Quinn!" One of the grunts whispered desperately. "Two big one's behind us." Kali reached beneath her seat and pulled out a large box, flipped open the lid, and pulled out an upgraded plasma rifle. She handed it to Hunter who stood up on his seat and took a bead on one of the death claws. She handed the other rifle to Dornan who moved to the back and took aim at one of the death claws that was pacing at the back of the truck. Kali reached for her own plasma pistols and the three grunts that came with them had theirs out as well. "A direct hit with your rifle will kill one," she whispered to Dornan and Hunter." "What about ours?" one of the grunts asked not looking away from the outside of the truck. "Yours won't. So you better make the shot count." "Quinn, when I tell you to I want you to start driving forward slowly." She made her way over to Quinn and covered him. "Let's hope they realize that we're bigger than they are," Kali heard Dornan mutter. "Now, Quinn. Start slow and then speed up." Quinn started the truck rolling forward and some of the death claws got out of the way. It didn't quite deter them though; they obviously knew lunch was inside the big rolling thing. They paced alongside the vehicle and one of the Death Claws in the back became agitated and charged the truck. Dornan took a well aimed shot at it, hitting the thing square in the chest. The Death Claw gave a terrifying shriek and lit up like a million volts of electricity was being passed through him. Then he disintegrated before Dornan's very eyes. "Damn!" Dornan said, whistling his appreciation. Instead of frightening off the other Death Claws it simply enraged them and they attacked en mass. Everyone started firing their weapons at anything that moved outside the truck. "Floor it, Quinn!" Dornan shouted taking another shot. "Plow through them Quinn! The Truck will make it!" Kali shouted as she kicked a small Death Claw off the hood of the truck. Quinn hit the gas and plowed head on into the Death Claws too stupid to get out of the way. There were some screeches and some bumps but the truck didn't stall or quit. Hunter and Kali ran to the back of the truck and helped Dornan pick any off that were still after the vehicle. Quinn slowed the vehicle to a stop after they made it another ten miles or so. He and Kali pulled out a couple flash lights and started inspecting the vehicle for damage. "You boys did well," Kali heard Dornan saying to the grunts. "I couldn't have asked for better soldiers on this trip." Kali knew that when Dornan gave a compliment to a person, he truly meant it. She had a feeling that when she got back into the truck, the grunts would all be sitting a little bit taller than they had been. Dornan joined Kali and Quinn at the front of the truck. They were staring at the blood and gore that coved the grill and bumper of the vehicle. Most of those Death Claws had been picking themselves up off the ground after they'd been run down by the truck. "Tough sons of bitches," Dornan said to them. "You see the size of their claws. Like damn daggers." "Death Claw is an apt name for such a creature." said Hunter joining them. "Our tribe was farther north so Tracker and I never saw one until we really started traveling." "It's the same with me." Kali said taking out her pistols and reloading them. "When I was seventeen I traveled with a caravan from NCR to San Francisco, before I joined the Enclave, and we met up with one. It killed two others before we killed it." "Dornan, the grunts, and I were all Enclave raised," Quinn said looking at Dornan. "Yeah." Dornan shook his head. "This isn't our first encounter, mind you, but they've been few and far between." "We should get going," Hunter said looking out into the dark. "Death Claws bounce back fast and travel even faster." "You okay?" Dornan asked Kali after they had all piled into the truck and started back on their journey. "My father once told me that a person will never get used to being attacked by wild animals. Watchful and wary, but never used to it." "Wise man." He smiled. "We had little mole rats that ran around Alpha Base. A lot of the others would use them for target practice but not me. Their antics of popping in and out of their holes never stopped amusing me." "They actually taste pretty good too." Dornan looked over at her then looked at his gun. "When you're surviving out in the waste you learn what taste good and what doesn't." She smiled when he still didn't speak to her. "Those critters are cute" said one of the grunts." Edward Deeds. "I would find something else to eat." "She's right though, they are tasty," said another of the grunts, Taka Valens. "Since when have you eaten a mole rat?" Asked the third one, Jesse Jones. "My dad and I used to catch them when he was on leave and we'd go camping out in the wastes." He shrugged his shoulders as if it were nothing. "Your dad took you camping out in the wastes?" Jesse asked horrified. "Yeah." Taka shrugged again. "My gramps was a tribal before he joined the Enclave. He taught my dad the ways and my dad taught me." "If I remember right Caleb Valens was one of the best scouts around," Dornan said. "Now I know why." "Yeah, my old man was great." Taka said with pride. "What about you?" Dornan asked. "He taught you to scout?" "Yes, Sergeant, he did." "It's good you came along then," Dornan said. "Kali and I are going to be busy with the vault and Hunter will need a bit of help scouting the area." "I'll do my best, Sergeant." Taka said puffing out his chest just a bit. "See that you do soldier." Dornan said. He pulled a rag out of his pocket and started polishing his rifle and all conversation ended. 000 "Quinn, slow down!" Hunter yelled standing up in his seat. "What is it?" Dornan asked as Quinn brought the vehicle to a stop. Kali popped up next to Hunter. She adjusted the sights of her helmet to a binocular view and looked to where Hunter was pointing. "What the hell are you guys seeing!?" Dornan barked. "Don't make me ask again!" "Quiet, Sergeant, you'll scare them off." Hunter said and pointed again and Dornan adjusted his view. "Geckos?" Dornan spat. "You stopped us to look at geckos?" "Don't lose it, Dornan." Kali said. "They're golden geckos." "Their skins are really good for trading." Hunter told him. "Trading?" Dornan asked confused. "We have everything we need now but in the future we may have to trade for the things that we need." Kali told Dornan. "I hadn't thought that far." "We have," Hunter told him. "They're going feral already Sarge," Quinn joked. "Okay, both of you sit back down and that's an order." "Dornan we-" "We have time for this later," Dornan interrupted Kali. "For now we're on a mission." "Fine." She looked at Hunter and shrugged. "Mark it on the map I guess." "Let's go Quinn." Dornan said. "Hunter and I will teach you guys how to skin geckos," Kali told the three grunts. "I didn't know there were two kinds of geckos," said Edward. "There are three." Taka told them. "Really?" asked Jesse. "Yeah. Regular geckos, golden geckos, and fire geckos." "Fire geckos?" Jesse asked curiously. "They spit fire." Kali said. "I'd liken it to a flame thrower," Hunter said from the front seat. "Wow," said Edward. The three grunts put their heads together and Taka started telling them all about Geckos. Kali laid her head on Dornan's shoulder and told him to wake her when it was her turn to drive. Kali woke to the truck coming to a halt. "My turn to drive?" she asked sleepily. "No. Sit up though." Dornan spoke quietly which made Kali go into alert mode. Hunter and the grunts held their weapons at ready. Dornan hopped out the back of the truck and walked to the front. He came to a halt twenty feet from a trio of people in power armor. Carrying a decent amount of camp gear. "Identify yourselves," One of them told Dornan. "I think you ought to identify yourself first, considering we have superior numbers and arms." Dornan told them. "Steel knights?" the one who spoke before, asked looking at the rigged up truck. "Hell, no! We're enclave." Dornan removed his helmet, showing some trust. "Sergeant Dornan Mackay." The three seemed to sag with relief and removed their helmets too. They walked up to Dornan. "I'm Captain Chris Hale. The two behind me are privates Cord Dautry and Crissy Sykes. We were out on patrol and lost contact with Alpha Base. We're headed for Navarro. "We're from Navarro." Dornan told him. "Do you know what's going on with Alpha Base?" "Alpha Base is gone." Dornan said. "What do you mean gone?" Hale asked "There was a large explosion at the heart of the base." Kali said coming to stand next to Dornan. "The place was almost completely leveled." "Leveled?" The trio echoed the word together. "I know you can't be lying." Hale said as he shook his head. "If it had been anything else Alpha Base would have been back on line by now." "You're more than welcome to join up with us." Dornan told Hale. "But you're going away from Navarro," private Sykes blurted out earning her a dark look from Dornan and Hale. "Navarro won't sustain us for more than a year at the most." Dornan told Hale. "Especially if we pick up any more enclave patrols," Kali said thoughtfully. "So you're looking for a new place to settle," Hale said nodding at the sound logic. "Yes." Dornan motioned toward the truck. "Hop in and we'll talk. They all got in and introduced the newcomers all around. Quinn got the big truck going again Kali fell asleep again listening to Dornan and Hale speak. 000 "This monster is amazing," Hale said looking over the truck when they all stopped for a break. "Quinn and I had to use the shell of an old pre-war army truck," Kali told Hale. "But the engine is state of the art." "I wish we'd of had a little more time to get it ready though." Quinn said from on top of the engine block, as he changed the battery. "I'm sure we could have made it a bit more fuel efficient." "How long did it take you to put it together?" Hale asked. "Three days." Dornan told Hale irritably. "You did this in three days?" "Yeah. And don't mind the Sarge," Quinn said laughing. "He's only mad because Kali spent most of her time working on the truck instead of him." Dornan looked over at Hale who was trying not to laugh and curled his lip. He walked over to the side of the engine and bumped the stick holding up the hood. Which promptly fell on top of Quinn. "Oww. Not nice, Sarge," came from under the hood of the truck. Dornan and Hale talked while Kali went to rescue Quinn from the innards of the truck. "She's yours?" Hale asked nodding at Kali. "Yeah. Compliments of my commander." "What?" "She's an egghead. Doctor Kalianna Taylor." "One of the Enclaves most brilliant minds." "Yeah." Dornan said with pride. "She gets wrapped up in her projects and doesn't take care of herself though. My commander was worried that she was going to just waste away." "I take it you don't let her?" "No." He smiled. "I don't let her get away with much. What about you? You have anyone?" "Not at the present." Hale was looking longingly at Crissy. "She taken?" Dornan asked. "Yeah," Hale said with a possessive look. "She just doesn't know it yet." "I'll inform my grunts." Dornan told him. "I'd appreciate it," Hale said gratefully. "So tell me about this vault." "It's vault 13. It was occupied not to long ago but Frank Horrigan went in and eliminated the inhabitants." "Frank Horrigan. That big bastard from secret service?" "Yeah." "I really didn't like that guy," Hale said and shuddered. "There was something wrong with him." "He was a mutant." Kali said hopping down from the bumper of the truck. "What!?" Both men asked at once. "Frank Horrigan let himself be genetically altered by my predecessor, Doctor Schreber." "How do you know this?" asked Dornan. "Lab D was his. All of his stuff was still there when I came to Navarro. Including his holodisks detailing his work." "And you knew this all along?" Dornan asked her. "Yeah." She shrugged. "I never dabbled in genetics though." "But you say it like it wasn't a big thing." Hale said. "Like I said it wasn't my field." Kali started picking up the batteries that Quinn had tossed down to the ground. Hale opened his mouth but Dornan gave a small shake of his head and motioned for Hale to walk with him to the back of the truck. "That's why my commander thought that she needed a keeper." "Wow. She seemed almost oblivious to it." "You should see her when she is working one of her projects. She could tune out nuclear war." "That's some kind of gift." "Not really." Dornan looked over at Kali. "She ends up tuning out her needs as well." "We're ready to go," Quinn came and told Dornan. "Let's roll out!" Dornan shouted and they all piled into the truck and headed out. Fallout 2 - Navarro Ch. 06 There is a shout out to family guy in here. Hope you think it's funny. Mac * "Quinn, stop the truck," Dornan shouted and Quinn slowed to a stop. "It's been a bit since Horrigan eliminated the other occupants. We need to scout out the vault to make sure that no undesirables have moved in." Dornan told the others. "I'll go." Hunter said. "No." Dornan told him. "Taka will go." "I will?" Taka asked confusedly. "Yes." "Are you testing me?" "Yes." "Okay." "I've got something that will help you," Kali said reaching into her bag and pulling out a small box that she handed to Taka. "I want it back when you're done." "What is it?" Taka asked as he pulled out a small gadget that resembled a wrist watch. "Oh my god!" Hale said, his eyes big as dinner plates. "Is that a stealth boy?" "Where did you get that!?" asked Dornan with equally big eyes. "Yes it is and please don't ask." She strapped the stealth boy to Taka's arm, pressed the button, and Taka became invisible. "You won't be seen," Kali told Taka. "You can still be heard though, so you need to make sure your footsteps are soft." "Okay." Taka was waving his hand in front of his face. "Make sure you check all levels of the vault." Dornan told him. "Every room." "Yes, Sergeant Dornan." "And don't talk to me while you're invisible." Dornan told him. "It's creepy." "Yes, Sergeant." "Just go scout the vault," Dornan told him with a grimace. 000 "I'm back," Taka said becoming visible. "It's been three hours." Dornan said irritably. "Were you sleeping in there?" "No. Raiders moved into the vault." "How many and what kind of weaponry?" "I counted fifteen and they're all unarmed." He pulled a bag off his shoulder and dumped out a bunch of weapons on the floor of the truck. "They just don't know it yet." "Good job soldier!" Dornan slapped him on the back. "Yeah. Well I didn't know I needed to turn the stealth boy off when I picked up the bag." Everyone stopped what they were doing to look at him. "A couple of them decided that they were permanently going to stop drinking Rotgut." Taka pulled the stealth boy off his wrist and handed it to Kali. "It was kinda funny." "Anything else to report?" Dornan finally stop shaking his head and asked. "They have slaves. Four women. Third level." "You speak with them?" "No, Sergeant. The raiders weren't availing themselves of any of them so I made sure they were locked in the room they were in. There won't be any innocents in the crossfire." "This going to be like shooting fish in a barrel." Hale said, checking his weapons. "We're not going to give them a chance?" Crissy asked horrified. "No." Hale took her chin in his hand making her look at him. "I can tell you for a fact that they never gave any of their victims a chance." "But-" "No buts' pumpkin." Hale put his hand behind her neck and put his forehead against hers. "I'm not asking you to kill innocents. Imagine what they've done to those poor women that they took." "Okay." "That's my girl." "Here Dornan," Kali handed him the stealth boy and then pulled another out of her bag. "You've got two!?" Dornan and Hale asked at the same time. "Sure. I reverse engineered the first one." She handed the second to Hale. "Maybe just you two should go." "Are you telling me you think we shouldn't gangbang them?" Dornan asked chucking her under the chin. "I'm pretty sure the rest of us don't mind letting you have the bad guys." Kali winked at Crissy. "It would be easier to pick them off, just the two of us." Hale told Dornan. "Whatever. As long as I get to kill something." "Oooh, blood thirsty." Kali pecked Dornan on the cheek. Kali pulled her pistols out of the holster and gave one to each of the men. "Unless you want the rifles." She said to Dornan. "No. This will be easier to handle in close quarters." He looked over at Hale who was examining his. "It does a hell of a lot of damage." Dornan and Hale put their helmets on and headed out for the vault. "Thanks Doctor Taylor," Crissy said to Kali. "You can call me Kali." Kali looked over at Crissy. "You obviously don't want to kill, so why did you join?" "Cord and I were both Enclave raised. It was pretty much expected of us." "I think Hale is sweet on you." Kali said to Crissy, changing the subject. Crissy thought that Hale was a handsome figure of a man. Six foot with sandy brown hair, light green eyes, and a slightly crooked nose, that had been broken in his youth. "He's good looking." Crissy told Kali carefully. "But?" "But there is something in eyes that says he wants to do things to me that-" she paused to think about it for a moment. "That are considered depraved even in this day and age." Kali finished for her. "Yeah. How did you know?" "Cause Dornan gets that same look." She shivered. "Turns me on and scares the hell out of me at the same time." "How do you deal with it?" "I trust Dornan." Kali shrugged. "I know that he would never hurt me." "I know Hale wouldn't hurt me." "Then go for it. Might as well take what pleasures you can." She grimaced. "I really doubt that post apocalyptia is going to be getting better any time soon. 000 "How do you want to do this?" Hale asked Dornan as they made their way to the vault. "We should sneak it and go from the bottom up, I think." "I'm good with that." Dornan and Hale snuck into the vault very easily. There was only one guard on duty and she was actually sleeping. "If she had been one of my soldiers I would have handed her ass to her on a plate." Dornan whispered to Hale, who agreed. They made their way onto the elevator and sent it down to the third level of the vault. When the doors opened and they stepped out they almost ran into two men who were obviously planning on using the elevator. They managed to get to the side of the wall before the men made it to the door, but both men stopped to stare at the elevator door. "I told you it wasn't the booze, Ted." Said one of the men to the other. Damn it! Dornan thought. "You're right Jim. First the floating bag, then the all the weapons disappear, and now doors opening on their own." Jim was starting to look around in a paranoid manner. Oh, fuck! Here it comes, Hale thought. "Ghost." Ted whispered to Jim. "They don't want us here." Dornan gave a snort and the two men's eyes widened and they started to look around in a panic. "We need to get out of here!" Ted told Jim. "We can't go into the wastes with nothing but spears." Jim said. "You saw the bodies we carried out of here." Ted told him. "I'll take my chances in the waste, thank you very much." "NCR isn't too far from here." Jim said. "Let's get our shit and get out of here." "Yeah. We should see if some of the others want to come with us. Strength in numbers, man." Dornan dragged Hale into the nearest empty room. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Hale asked him. "Hell, yes!" Dornan laughed. "Taka paved the way for this. That boy's on my good list." Dornan and Hale waited for about fifteen minutes so that Jim and Ted could spread the word of ghost around to the other raiders. Then they put their plan into action. They walked all through the vault making sure that strange things happened to or in front of the raiders. "You bunch of pussies!" The raider leader, Jethro, yelled at his men that had all assembled in the cavern outside of the vault. "There is no such thing as fucking ghost!" Dornan and Hale stood in opposite corners of the cave and let their chuckles bounce off the walls, spooking the raiders even more than they already were. Then Doran walked over to Jethro, put his pistol to the back of his head and pulled the trigger. As Dornan thought that he would, Jethro let out a blood curdling shriek and lit up like a million volts was passing through him and then disintegrated right in front of his men. There was absolute quiet for about five seconds and then every one of the raiders let out some kind of scream and ran out of the cave as fast as their legs would take them. "I told you the gun would do some damage." Dornan told Hale and they fell on the floor laughing. "I've never seen people move so fast," Hale said to Dornan after they were done rolling on the floor laughing their asses off. "Are we going soft?" Dornan finally asked. "Hell, no!" Hale scoffed that the thought. "This was way more fucking fun!" "Let's do a quick walk through of the vault and make sure there aren't any stragglers." "Fine by me." They found the room that Taka said he locked the slaves in and opened the door. "Are you ladies okay?" Hale asked. All four women let out ear piercing shrieks and practically tried to climb the walls. "What? You ladies never saw a man in power armor before?" Hale asked bewilderedly. "We forgot that were invisible, dumbass." Dornan said turning off his stealth boy. "Oh, right." Hale turned off his stealth boy. "Sorry about that ladies." "Oh my god." One of the women put her hand on her ample chest. "You morons just about gave us heart attacks." "Well if that's the thanks we get for driving off the raiders then you can stay here and rot you stuck up bitch," Dornan said shrugging and he and Hale started walking out the door. "Wait!" "Not looking so bad now, are we?" Hale said. "Come along ladies," Dornan said not stopping. "We'll get you sorted out." They finished their walkthrough of the vault and then headed back out into the light of day. Quinn drove up and stopped the truck not three inches from Dornan and Hale's noses and shut it off. "Sarge you dog!" Quinn said popping up from his seat. "We leave you alone for ten minutes and you find yourself a harem." Kali smacked Quinn upside the back of his head as he opened his door and he took a header out of the truck. "Ooow." Quinn said rubbing his head. 'Not nice, Doc." "Kali!" Dornan yelled. "Sorry, Dornan," Kali said stepping out of the truck, right on Quinn. "Ooof." "You can have the next one," She told him. "Brought you a present, Doc," Dornan said motioning at the four women. "Did you clear out the vault?" Kali asked him ignoring the four women. "I'd really like to start taking inventory." "Crissy," Hale motioned her over. "You have med training. Will you take care of these lovely ladies?" "Yes, sir. Ladies if you'll follow me we'll get you taken care of." The women followed her around to the back of the truck. "You're all heart, Doc." Dornan told her as he pulled her into his arms. "I'm not a medical Doctor. And I'm assuming that since we saw a mass exodus of raiders, you managed to clear out the vault." "Damn but you have a one track mind. Yes Doctor Taylor, we cleared out the vault." "Good." She looked over at Quinn. "Ready to get started?" "Sure." He came over and pointed to his face. "But the first thing we're checking is the water supply. I'm covered in dirt. I told you we should have put some kind of windshield in the truck." "I'll show you how happy I am that you're alive, later." Kali said and pecked Dornan on the cheek, ignoring Quinn's complaints. "Come along Quinn. Time to work," Kali said walking into the vault cavern. 000 "She's one cold fish, that Doctor Taylor." Melinda Johnson, one of the four, now ex-slaves, said to Crissy. "She's not cold," Crissy said defending Kali. "She's a brilliant and driven scientist. And if it weren't for her recommending that her people come here to this vault you would still be a slave." "Ouch. Guess you told me soldier girl." Melinda said sarcastically. "You're done," Crissy said pasting a bandage on Melinda's leg. "That one may be trouble," Cord said kneeling down by Crissy and watching Melinda stalk away to stand with the other women. "I think you're right, Cord." Hale said coming to kneel on Crissy's other side. "I'll speak to Dornan and we'll get her out of here as soon as possible. In the mean time, let's go see what we can do help." Fallout 2 - Navarro Ch. 07 A bit of homosexual sex in this chapter so skip over it if you feel the need too. thanks mac "I followed the raiders for a ways." Hunter said as he found Dornan and the grunts hauling supplies into the vault. "Think they'll stay away?" Dornan asked. "I could barely keep up with them," Hunter chuckled. "NCR is only three days by foot." "They'll make it I'm sure." Dornan shrugged. "Let NCR deal with them." "I put our guest to work washing walls for now." Hale said coming in and setting down a crate. "The one's got a mouth on her." Dornan said obviously speaking of Melinda. "Yeah." Hale rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "She's trouble. We need to get her out of here as soon as possible." "What? You think Crissy might pull out her hair?" Dornan asked with a laugh. "I actually have a pretty mean right cross," Crissy said bringing a container into the room. "Hale's been teaching me." "Her name is Melinda Johnson and she's not happy that you drove off the raiders." Said one of the women, slinking into the room. "What's your name?" Dornan asked. "Cara Wilder." She smiled hesitantly. "And why isn't she happy about it Cara?" Dornan asked her. "Jethro, the raider leader, took a shining to her. He treated her pretty well. She's not happy that she's lost that." "Do you think she'll cause trouble?" Cord asked handing her his canteen, so she could have a drink of water. "Thank you, and yes," She nodded and took a drink. "She's kind of vindictive." "I suppose we could dump her at NCR and let her whore her way to wherever she wants to go." Hale said thoughtfully. "What about the other two women?" Dornan asked. "Lia Reeves and Matanna Maitland." She shrugged and handed the canteen back to Cord. "They're okay. Melinda has them cowed though." "But not you?' Hale asked. "The raiders are gone, and can't hurt me anymore. And she knows I'd kick her good for nothing ass if she did anything to me now." "Good for you!" Cord told her with admiration. "Thanks." Cara said with a blush. "Where are you from?" Kali asked joining them into the room. "We're from Modoc, but none of us really want to go back there. The others were talking about New Reno, but I don't think that I want to go there either." "You could stay with us." Cord said with an encouraging smile, earning black looks from Dornan and Hale. "Who are you guys?" She asked a bit warily, looking at their power armor and supplies. "Brotherhood of Steel?" "Enclave." Cord said. They all watched Cara stiffen and take a step back. She looked like she was about to have a panic attack and Cord took at step toward her in case she needed someone to lean on. Cara's eyes became wide as dinner plates and she bolted for the door. Of course she had to go around Cord to do it and he caught her up in his arms. "Let go!" Cara yelled, kicking at him. "I'll be back, sir." Cord said to Hale who nodded. Cord tossed Cara up a bit and over his shoulder and carried her out of the room, to the next empty one that he could find. He obviously needed to have a talk with her in private about her reaction. "Now," He said setting her down. "Let's chat." "But you're Enclave." She backed up and he followed her until she was backed up against the wall, and he caged her in with his arms. "Not everyone who is Enclave is a bad person." "Why would you join the Enclave?" "I was Enclave raised." "I don't know what that means." "It means that both my grandparents and my parents were part of the Enclave. I'm third generation and it was expected of me to join as well." "Oh." "You're beautiful," He said looking down into her tear filled, chocolate brown eyes. "No I'm not." She said looking away. "I said you were," he said taking her chin and making her look up into his eyes. "I don't usually lie." "No?" "No." He dipped his head and kissed her plump pink lips. She stood on tip toe and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. At six foot one, he was handsome in a rough kind of way, light blond hair, and smoldering blue eyes. And Cara hadn't had a man look at her like that in a long time. "Enough," he said pulling away regretfully. "We need to help with the vault. We can come back to this later. We can talk later." "Okay," she nodded. "I'm not washing walls with Melinda though." "You can help me." "Hello the vault," Crissy said from behind the door. "Come in," Cord said turning toward the door. "Kali asked me to give these to Cara," Crissy said walking in and handing him a grunt's uniform. "They're about the same size." "Thank you." Cara said taking the clothes from Cord and hugging them to her body. "She also said to tell you that the vaults water system was working, so you can take a shower if you want." "Thank you." Cara said again. "No problem." Crissy gave Cara a wink and sauntered out of the room. "I'll leave you too it," Cord said with a hard swallow, trying not to picture her naked. "You can meet me back in the other room." "Okay." She smiled at him. "Okay." He smiled back. "Okay." She said again looking toward the bathroom. "Okay, yeah! I'm leaving." He walked out the door before he pinned her up against the wall again. Cara took her first hot shower in almost a week. She washed her short red hair at least twice and her body a lot more than that. She thought maybe she could wash away the all raider's touches, so maybe she could be clean for Cord. She knew it wasn't her fault but she felt dirty. She still felt like she couldn't get clean enough though, no matter how hard she scrubbed. She took a deep shuddering breath and let the tears fall. She didn't want Cord to reject her but he just might, once he saw all of her. 000 "How is she?" Asked Kali when Cord made his way back into the room with the others. "She's okay, she's taking a shower. Thanks for giving her the clothes." "Not a problem." Kali shrugged. "We're about the same size." "She doesn't want to go." Cord told Hale and Dornan. "Decisions not ours soldier." Dornan told him. "Best we can do is run it by the commander and see what he says." "What about the other women?" Cord asked. "Like I said, we should dump them off in NCR." Hale told Dornan. "I agree with you," Dornan said to Hale. "Let me run it by the commander though." "Is he our commander now too?" Crissy asked Hale. "Sure is, Pumpkin." "Okay." 000 Jason laughed his ass off for a good five minutes after he finished speaking with Doran on the radio. He spent another hour chuckling occasionally. "Damn! Dornan gets to have all the fun," Jason complained to Ian later as they ate. "And they still have the journey back." Ian said with a smile. "Yeah. Maybe we should fly one of the vertibirds out and check on-" "We have responsibilities here, Commander." Ian said interrupting him. "Spoil sport." "I think that the vault is going to be habitable for all of us," Ian told him with a smile. "You still have that journey to look forward too." "True," Jason said with a nod. "What are you going to have Dornan do with the slaves?" "One of them wants to stay on at the vault, and at this point I don't see a problem with that. As for the others I think that our new Captain Hale is right and we should see them off to NCR." "Doctor Taylor is full of surprises," Ian said changing the subject and forking a bite of food into his mouth. "I can believe she not only had a stealth boy but that she reverse engineered it to make another one." He frowned. "I'm going to have to reprimand her for keeping such technology to herself." "I think she was probably planning on telling you Jason. She has quite a few projects in her lab that she hasn't spoken of yet." "How the hell do you know that?" "I don't spend all of my time guarding or fucking you commander," Ian said affably. "Crude," Jason said. "I know." "I like it when you talk dirty." "What else do I do that you like?" Ian asked Jason. "I like," Jason said scooting his chair back from the table. "When you pull my cock out of my pants and suck it." Ian went and knelt in front of Jason's chair and carefully freed his already hard cock from his pants. Jason's cock was exceptionally large at ten inches long and wide enough around that Ian had a hard time fitting it in his mouth. But he was an experienced cock sucker and managed to take Jason's cock all the way in his mouth and down his throat. "Fuck, Ian!" Jason felt himself close to coming and stopped Ian. He pulled Ian's cock out his pants and returned the favor. Ian stopped him before he came and Jason led him into the bedroom. The pulled off each other's clothes and lay on the bed kissing and sucking each other's nipples. "How do you want it tonight?" Jason asked pulling a small bottle of lubricant out of the night stand. "I want your cock." Ian told him rolling onto his knees, ass in the air. "I'll fuck you later." "Promises, Promises," Jason said. He poured some lube on his finger tip and started rubbing it lightly on Ian's anus. He slowly inserted one finger, then two, and finally three before Ian begged Jason to fuck him with his cock. Jason took his cock and positioned it at Ian's entrance and pushed hard and didn't stop until the head of his cock was completely swallowed by Ian's anus. He let Ian rest and get used to his cock and then he started rocking in and out slowly until his cock was three quarter of the way in, then he shoved the last quarter in fast and hard, getting a thrill from Ian's shout. "Oh god!" Ian cried. "Jason it feels like your cock is in my stomach. I feel like it's going to come out my mouth." Jason laughed and started pumping his cock in and out of Ian's ass. Ian pumped up and down on his cock, holding back as best he could. Jason finally shouted and dumped his load in Ian's ass, making him come too. They collapsed together and lay spooning each other. Jason left his cock in Ian's ass and they both fell asleep. 000 "I've spoken with my commander," Dornan told Melinda and her cohorts. "It seems more than likely that we'll drop you three at NCR." "And when is this going to happen?" Melinda asked coyly, grabbing onto Dornan's arm. She was still in her "slave" outfit even though they had offered to find her other clothing. Dornan was sure that her more than ample breast were going to pop out of it any second. "As soon as we can find the time to arrange it," Dornan said extricating himself from Melinda's leech like grip. "What about Cara," Tia asked with a frown. "She requested to stay on with our group, and my commander has granted it." "Really?" Melinda asked in a sugary voice and an angry gleam in her eye. "How kind of you to agree to take care of her." "She will earn her place." Dornan told her. "Oh," she said with a pout. "I'm sure she will. Even though she never once helped us keep our room clean here." "I'm sure I'll be able to whip her into shape." Dornan told her and started walking away. "You ladies have a nice day." He said as an afterthought and closed the door behind him. "You remember the first time you saw a floater or centaur," Dornan asked Hale who was waiting outside the room for him. "Yeah. Made my skin crawl." Hale said grimacing. "That's how that bitch makes me feel." "And they're dangerous." Hale said. "So is she," Dornan told him. "We need to keep a close eye on her." "Let's separate them." "I have three grunts; they should be in the mess right now." Dornan looked at the door. "You go first." "Pussy." Hale told him and then opened the door and stuck his head in. "Tia can I borrow you for a few minutes." "Of course." She said looking to Melinda who merely shrugged. She walked out the door and down the hall to the mess with Hale. Dornan gave it a few minutes and then popped his head in the door. "Matanna, come with me." Dornan didn't give her much of a choice, he just took her arm and led her out of the room. Leaving Melinda with a secret smile. "Cara said your people were different than the raiders, but I think she lied." Matanna told Dornan. "Why am I like the raiders?' he asked. "They took us and used us too." Dornan stopped mid stride and turned to look at her. "I have my own woman." He said spat, looking at her like she was a bug. "I don't need to avail myself of your services." "Services? I'm not a whore!" she spat at him. "Slavers stole me from my home and did this to me!" She broke down and started sobbing. Kali never cried. Dornan didn't have patience with crying women. He was about ready to snap at her to stop it when Edward came striding down the hall. "There. There." Edward said turning Matanna so that she could grab on to him and sob in his shirt. "Go ahead and let it out." "Hale said you needed me, sir." He mouthed to Dornan. "Yes! Thank you." Dornan mouthed back. "Keep her busy. Away from Melinda." Edward nodded and Dornan walked away. "I'm not a whore." She said looking up at Edward with tear filled eyes. "Of course you're not." He smiled at her. "Melinda is." "Oh god." She said with a laugh. "You just said the exact right thing. You have sisters don't you?" "Three." "He's such a jerk." She said wiping her eyes. "Sergeant Dornan can be abrasive but he is a good man. He cares for those under his command." "I don't want to be around Melinda anymore." She looked up at him. "I'll do anything." "Tempting." He said with a smile. "The raiders are gone. Don't let her intimidate you anymore." "You're right," she said squaring her shoulders. "My name is Edward and I'm to keep you with me, Matanna," He told her. "I'm afraid we're in for a lot of cleaning today." "I don't mind helping. And you can call me Matty." "Good. Let's get something in your stomach. You're going to need your energy." Edward escorted Matty into the mess hall and she automatically went and sat down in front of Tia who was with Jesse and Taka. She leaned over and whispered in Tia's ear. "You guys are keeping us away from Melinda?" Tia asked Jesse. "Sorry." He said sheepishly. "Don't be. Melinda's a bitch. She has all of intimidated." "She can't hurt you anymore," Taka said between mouthfuls of food. "Yeah." Tia said with a smile. "You should eat Matty, the foods not bad." Kali walked in and headed for their table. "Quinn found some old vault suits that should fit you ladies." Kali dropped them on the table. "I put them through a wash." "Thank you." Both women said a bit shyly. "I'm afraid I couldn't find anything that would fit your friends," Kali paused, "frame." "She'd rather have her tits pop out of her outfit anyway," Tia said. "She's always been that way." "If you've got it, use it," Matty said mimicking Melinda perfectly and they all laughed. "That was mean of me." "You obviously don't like her. She must be a bitch." Kali said. "Wow." Tia said shaking her head. "You always say what's on your mind?" "I usually feel the need to be truthful." Kali shrugged. "There is nothing wrong with being truthful," Dornan said walking up behind Kali and bending down to kiss her neck. "How's the vault looking, Doc." "So far everything is in excellent condition, considering how old the vault is." She shrugged. "Quinn and I will be fixing on the small stuff for months though." "What she means to say is that you can report to the commander that it's more than livable." Quinn said walking in the mess, wiping his hands on a rag. "Excellent." Dornan said. "I speak English, Quinn." Kali said. "You speak scientific English," Quinn said back. "That is when you're not talking dirty English to the Sergeant." "Funny." Kali rolled her eyes. "We still have more work to do. Let's get to it." "Sure, Doc. We- waaaahh-" Quinn slipped on a puddle of water on the floor and ended up lying on his back staring up at the ceiling. "You did that didn't you Sarge?" Quinn asked looking at the empty water bottle in Dornan's hand. "Yep." Dornan said with a big smile. "Owww. Not nice Sarge." Quinn got up, rubbing his butt and followed a laughing Kali. Dornan looked over at all the others in the mess that were laughing as well. "Back to work!" He barked and everyone jumped to go about their assigned tasks. 000 Melinda sat around for hours and then grew board waiting for Tia and Matanna to come back, and went in search of them. She found Matty in a supply room with Edward. They were going through the supplies and laughing at a joke Edward was telling. "What so funny?" Melinda asked leaning on the door jam. "Just a joke about a Death Claw," Edward said soberly. He felt Matty trembling next to him. "Hmm." Melinda said. "I thought I might come and help you." "I'm afraid this is a two person job. If you need an assignment I'm sure Sergeant Dornan will be more than happy to give you one." Edward turned back to what he was doing. "Are you sure you don't need help Matanna?" Melinda asked glaring at her. "No." Matty finally said, but only after Edward put his hand on her shoulder. "I'm sure the Sergeant can find something for you Melinda." Melinda glared daggers at her and stomped off to go and find Tia. Matanna was going to pay for that, she promised herself. Nobody crossed her. "Matty, what did she do to you?" Edward asked taking her in his arms. "She would complain to Jethro if we crossed her in any way and he would punish us." "Punish you how?" "Tell me!" he said when she didn't say anything. Matty walked over to the door of the supply closet and shut it. She leaned her head against the door and took a deep breath. Then she pulled the zipper down on her vault suit and peeled it down to her waste. "Son of bitch!" Edward swore when he saw the whip scars on her back. "Tia and I learned quickly," she said covering her breast and showing him the few on her stomach. "Cara's are a lot worse." "Fuck." Edward said and then took her in his arms and she started sobbing. Dornan opened the door of the closet, to check on the two, but Matty didn't hear him. His lips pressed together angrily when he saw her back. "Please don't make me leave?" Matty said in his shirt. "I'm afraid that's not up to me Matty. I can talk to Sergeant Dornan about it though." "I won't go any place with her," Matty said fiercely. "Tia and I would be better off in the wastes." Dornan motioned for Edward to bring her to see him in ten minutes and then quietly shut the door. Edward comforted Matty and then helped her dress. "We're going to go and see Sergeant Dornan right now." Edward said. "No. It won't do any good." She said shaking her head. "I think he's already made up his mind about Tia and me." "He's a good man." Edward told her. "Come on." Edward and Matty made their way to the office that Dornan had claimed. Hale, Cord, and Cara were already there and Tia, Jesse, and Taka followed them in. "Sit." Dornan told them all. Hale perched on the edge of his desk and folded his arms. Dornan glared at him and Hale shrugged, not intimidated at all. Dornan shook his head. "You have something you want to talk to me about?" Dornan asked Matty. "You can do this," Edward urged her when she didn't say anything. He rubbed her back, then moved it to her shoulder, when she started quietly sobbing. "You told him?" Tia asked her, seeing the gesture. "I made her," Edward told Tia. "Told what, Tia?" Jesse asked her. Tia stood up, knowing Jesse would just keep pressing her. She unzipped her vault suit and stripped down the waste. She showed everyone in the room, the damage to her body and re-clothed herself. "What the fuck!?" Jesse swore and Tia turned away ashamed. He took her in his arms and ran a hand over her back. Fallout 2 - Navarro Ch. 07 "Matty said Cara's were much worse." Edward told the rest of them. "Cara?" Cord asked. "My front isn't bad," Cara told the others, shrugging. "My back looks like a piece of jerky though." "Cara," Cord pulled her into his arms. "I think I can speak for my Commander when I tell you that you'll be allowed to stay if you like." Dornan told Tia and Matty. "What about Melinda," Cara asked. "She's bound to cause trouble. Especially now." "Hale, I want you to take Hunter and Taka and the truck and dump her off at NCR." "You want us to leave now?" Hale asked. "Yes. I think that if we let her stay any longer she may become dangerous. Especially now that she can't control the other women. I'll let Kali and Quinn know what's going on." "You're looking at three days buy foot," Taka said. "So maybe a day there and back by truck, maybe less, if there's no trouble." "That's acceptable." Dornan said. Melinda had been standing outside the door and heard every word that had been said. She wanted to scream and rage but that would give her away. Instead she would do something infinitely more sneaky. And worse. She made her way down to the third level of the vault to the main computer. She knew that Quinn and that cold fish doctor were up in the medical bay at the moment and nobody would find out what she'd done until she was long gone. She opened a panel on the main computer terminal and grabbed a nearby tool that had been left and hit the first thing she could see. A piece of chip flew up and hit her. She reached down with a satisfied smile and grabbed it, placing it in her pocket. It would make a nice souvenir of her time here. She shut the panel and put the tool back exactly where it had been in the first place. She quietly made her way back to the room that had been assigned to her. She packed her small bag, with the hidden pocket and put it under the bed. She had been quietly picking the pockets of the raiders for months. She wasn't going to stay and be Jethro's bitch forever. She wasn't stupid. She knew that sooner or later he would tire of her and she wanted to have a contingency plan. "Sergeant Dornan's asked me to take you to NCR today." Hale said, walking in without knocking. "Let's go." "Better sooner than later." Melinda told him as she pulled off her clothes. "I'm just going to change into some traveling clothes." Hale made a derisive sound and turned away so that she could get dressed. The woman's tits were really too big, he thought to himself. "I'm ready." Melinda said, brushing by him, grabbing her bag out from under the bed and stuffing her outfit in it. Hale didn't offer to search the bag, he figured it was too small to hold anything more than her skimpy outfit. A gun would have fit awkwardly in it. He escorted her out to the truck and they left for NCR. 000 A few days later Dornan and Hale stood outside the vault cavern and waited for the Virtibird to land. Even before the pilot had shut down the engines, Jason had hopped out, followed by the ever faithful Ian. "You just couldn't wait, could you?" Dornan asked shaking hands with Jason. "Nope." Jason said with a grin. "I'm surprised you lasted this long," Dornan told him. "Yeah, well, Ian kept reminding me that I had responsibilities." "For all the good that it did me. Here we are." Ian told Dornan. "Jason, this is Captain Chris Hale. Hale, Base Commander Jason Smyth." "Sir." Hale saluted. "Nice to have you on board Soldier." Jason said and he and Hale shook hands. "You should have waited for me to shut the engines down completely," Culluch said walking up to Jason and glaring at him as he took off his flight helmet. "Jesus, Culluch is that you?" Dornan asked. "I didn't recognize you without your egghead gear." Culluch was dressed in combat armor, with plasma pistols strapped to his sides. "Like Kali, I'm multi-talented, Sergeant Dornan," Culluch said with a sniff. "Culluch! I'm glad you're here!" Kali said striding out of the vault cavern. "Salute your commander!" Dornan barked. "Sorry, sir," Kali said saluting Jason. "That's okay." He told her with a wink. "What's the problem Kali? I-" he stopped and grabbed the item she held in her hand, to take a closer look at it. "Shit!" "Exactly." Kali told him. "What's wrong?" Jason asked. "This is the vaults water chip." Culluch said showing it to Jason. "It's broken." Jason said stating the obvious. "It wasn't before," Kali said. "It's one of the first things that I checked." "Holy crap." Hale said. "I figured that bitch went too easily." "You think Melinda did this?" Dornan asked. "The rest of us are planning on living here." Hale said. "I think we all want to have drinking water, not to mention hot showers." "Can you manufacture a new one?" Jason asked Kali and Culluch. "I guess I could." Kali told him uncertainly. "You guess?" he asked through gritted teeth. "Easy commander," Culluch told him. "She doesn't know much about this old vault technology." "So we go and get one from Vault City." Ian said as if it were easy. "They have extra, don't they?" "They might not even let us into the city." Culluch said. "I guarantee that they won't give us a chip, even if they do have a large supply of them in vault storage." "They will if we drop in by virtibird and have enough fire power to back ourselves up." Jason said with an evil grin. "That bitch Lynette won't know what hit her." Culluch said with a chuckle. "God, I love your style Commander." "Okay," Jason said rubbing his hands together. "Let's have a tour of the vault. And I'd like to meet the rest of Hale's people, and our new recruits." "Follow me," Dornan told him. "I'm sure you'll be happy with the vault. We've all pitched in to make sure it's been cleaned, while Kali and Quinn have gone through and made sure the important things work." "Can't wait. Fallout 2 - Navarro Ch. 08 I have two more chapters written they just need to be refined. I'm happy for all the feed back, I love to hear from readers. Thanks to everyone who's been coming back for each chapter. mac 000 Five vertibirds landed, surrounding Vault City. The Vault City guards knew this was the enclave and they weren't a match for this small army and did their best to close up the city as tight as they could. "What do you think, Stark?" Senior Councilman Daniel McClure asked Nathan Stark, the head of the Vault City guards, as they stood on the top of the wall. "I think we're boned." Stark told him. "Can't you do something Stark?" First Citizen Lynette Willan screeched. "I can toss you over the wall and let you ask if they want to have tea and cookies." Stark said to her. "How dare you speak to me like that? I'm the First-" "Shut the hell up Lynette! You're not helping." Daniel told her. "The laser turrets aren't going to be any match against those." Stark told Daniel. "And my men aren't trained for this." The Virtibirds all shut down their engines simultaneously and men in advanced power armor and wicked weapons poured out of them, but held their positions close to the machines. Jason and Ian in their power armor stepped out of the lead Virtibird and Culluch joined them from the pilot's seat, dressed in his combat armor. They walked right up to the gate and Culluch pulled off his flight helmet. "Greetings to you First Citizen Lynette and Coucilmen McClure," Culluch said saluting them formally. "My commander would like to have a word with you." "Maybe we don't want to chat with him," Lynette sniped back. Daniel pinched the bridge of his nose and resisted pushing Lynette off the wall, while stark covered his eyes and kept muttering "we're boned". "Not one more word out of you Lynette or I swear I'll have Stark dump you off this wall." Daniel warned her and she could see that he meant it and Stark was nodding emphatically. "We'll speak with your Commander." Daniel said to Culluch. "Of course we would respectfully ask that only you three enter the city." "That can be arranged," Culluch said back to him. "Of course our men will hold their positions for the moment." "Of course," Daniel said trying not to throw up. "Stark, please open the gate for our guest," Daniel said loudly. "And keep control of your men," he whispered to Stark who nodded. "I love it when you intimidate people," Ian whispered seductively as they took off their helmets. "I'll intimidate you later." Jason said back. "Keep it together, lads." Culluch said. "I trust McClure but not Lynette, if anybody is likely to do something stupid it's her. She's not very level headed." The three men marched into the city like conquering warriors. Daniel, Stark, and Lynette met them, endured introductions from Culluch, and escorted them into the city. Daniel gave a cheery tour of the city to Jason, who nodded at the appropriate times, both of them thinking how much they hated politics. They were all soon settled at a conference table in the council house, drinking purified water. Stark stood quietly behind Daniel and Lynette, while Ian guarded Jason and Culluch's backs. "So, what can we do for you Commander Smyth?" Daniel asked, praying it wasn't anything they weren't willing to give up. "Please call my Jason." Lynette snorted and then yelped when Daniel kicked her under the table. Jason ignored this byplay. "Jason then." Daniel said. "It's actually very simple. You see we're in need of a water chip for our vault." "I don't think so. You're Enclave, not vault dwellers," Lynette said to them like they were idiots. "You obviously want the chip for some nefarious purpose." Daniel sighed and looked at Stark, who grabbed Lynette by the back of her vault suit and dragged her out of the room, kicking and screaming all the way. "I stuffed her in a closet and locked it." He said to Daniel as he came back into the room. "I'm sure she'll gnaw through the door in no time though." Jason and Ian cracked a smile, while Culluch laughed his ass off. "I've wanted to do that for years," Daniel said. "So you need a water chip?" "Yes," Jason said. "I'm told you have quite a few of them in storage." "Yes. But if you don't mind me asking, what do you want it for?" "We want it for a vault." Culluch told him. "You're putting me on." "No." Jason said taking a sip of his water. "So can we come to some kind of agreement?" "I'll give you as many as you want if you don't put us through this again. I don't think my heart could take it." "Done." Jason said easily. "I was hoping not to have to do this again." "Yes, in the future, you can send my son, and I would be more than willing to negotiate with him." Daniel said sagging in his chair. Jason looked at Culluch and he mumbled something about Limlew being his mother's maiden name. "Stark, go and let Lynette out of the closet and confine her to her quarters until our guest leave." "Yes, sir." 000 "I did wonder where you had gotten off to Culluch." Daniel said to him as they all made their way into the vault. "I told you I would leave this god forsaken place." Culluch said. "Culluch is one of the most brilliant scientists that the Enclave has." Jason told Daniel. "He always was gifted," Daniel said with pride. "He was just stifled here." "That's one way of putting it." Culluch muttered. "He's grown." Daniel said to Jason. "Really?" Jason asked looking at Culluch. "I left when I was seventeen," Culluch said blushing. "I had one last growth spurt." "He was five foot and thin as a bird when he left." Daniel said taking in Culluch's five foot ten, leanly muscled body. "Ten inches Culluch?" Jason's mind was boggled by the thought. "Like I said, I had another growth spurt. I also went through training like Kali," Culluch said. "I put on close to forty pounds of muscle." "You seem to have done well for yourself son," Daniel said. "I'm happy for you." "Thank you father," Culluch said gruffly. "So tell me who this Kali is. Your wife?" Daniel asked hopefully. "My protégé." Culluch said with a laugh. "She's probably even more brilliant than I am." "I see." Daniel said. "I'm afraid you'll have to wait for grandchildren." "You're getting older son." "Cripes! I'm only twenty eight," Culluch said with furrowed brows. "I think we can leave this discussion for another time." Daniel said. They made their way down to the last level of the vault and Daniel led them to the last room which was filled with containers. He opened a drawer and motioned toward it. "Take what you need." "God!" Culluch said when he looked into the drawer. "There have got to be fifty in here." "And that's one drawer in one container." Daniel said. "We have several more containers full." "I'll take five. We'll have extras just in case something else happens." Culluch said pulling out the chips and putting them in small individual containers he'd brought with him. They all made their way back out of the vault and went on to the entrance of the town. "We appreciate this very much," Jason said shaking Daniel's hand at the gate. "Not a problem." He laughed. "We got to lock Lynette in a closet. That's priceless." "I'm sure I don't want to be here when that harpy confronts you." Jason said and walked off with Ian. "Goodbye son," Daniel said sticking out his hand. "Goodbye father," Culluch took his hand and pulled him in for a hug. "I'll come back to visit, I promise." "See that you do." Daniel watched his son leave with the rest of the Enclave soldiers. He smiled with pride at the thought of his son becoming a man. He had the feeling that not everyone in the Enclave was that bad after all. 000 "Got the chip," Culluch said walking into the vaults main computer room." "Excellent," Kali said taking the chip from him. "I have four spares too." "Culluch, you're a wonder," Kali said as she installed the water chip. "Yeah. A tired wonder." "Go find Quinn." Kali told him. "Get a shower and some sleep." "I'll do that," Culluch said. He walked out the room and hunted down Quinn. "You see your father?" Quinn asked Culluch as he came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. "Yeah." He flopped on the bed next to Quinn. "It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." "No?" "No." He sighed. "He asked me about getting married. He wants grandkids." "I've been thinking about that," Quinn told him. "And what have you been thinking?" Culluch asked laying his head on Quinn's muscular chest. "I think we could find a brilliant but unwanted orphan and adopt him." He gave a small shrug. "You know, teach him how to invent things." "Teach him to fly." Culluch said. He looked up at Quinn. "You would really want that." "Of course." Quinn said laughingly. "It's not like either of us is actually going to pop a kid out our asses any time soon." "A butt baby." Culluch laughed. "That would be one ugly kid," Quinn told him. 000 "You should have seen it," Jason told Dornan. "Lynette's up on the wall and says "well we don't want to talk to them". I'm pretty sure that McClure almost pushed her off, and the guard captain was muttering, we're boned, over and over again." Dornan and Hale were almost rolling on the floor laughing as Jason told the story. "Yeah, but you should have seen the look on your face when McClure told you Culluch was his son," Ian said with a laugh. "Fucking priceless." "You didn't seem surprised," Jason said suspiciously. "You remember that conversation we had over dinner?" Ian asked him. "Ian fucking knows everything that goes on at the base," Dornan said to Jason. "I'm starting to figure that out." Jason said. "We have to fly out in the morning Commander," Ian said to Jason. "We should get some sleep." "What?" Jason asked Dornan who was looking around suspiciously. "Quinn didn't pop out and make a joke." "Culluch flew us." "Oh, never mind then." "Come on Ian. Let's get some rest." Jason said walking out of the room. "Yes, sir." Ian said following him. 000 "They a couple?" Hale asked Dornan, as they sat around in the mess drinking bottled water. "Jason and Ian are. Quinn and Culluch too. You have a problem with that?" "Nope. Just wondering." Hale shrugged. "Find what happiness you can in post apocalyptia." "Maybe you should take your own damn advice and go fuck Crissy." "Ouch, Sergeant Dornan." "Only speaking the truth Captain Hale." "Maybe." "I'm serious. Stop making googly eyes at the girl and tell her you want her." "Is that what you did with the good Doctor?" "It sure as hell didn't take me very long." Dornan chuckled. "It helped that Kali basically jumped me." "Yeah?" "She fucking told me if I stopped she'd get a gun and shoot me." Both men had a good laugh. Crissy, who was standing outside in the hall, listening, was blushing furiously. Hale had been on her mind more and more lately. Popping in at times that he had no business doing so. Maybe Kali was right. She should just go for it. So far she'd been happier in the last three months with Hale than she had been in the last few years. "What's so funny?" She asked walking into the mess before she could change her mind. She plopped down across from Hale. "Nothing," Dornan said shaking his head. "I'm off to find Kali. See you two tomorrow." Hale and Crissy watched Dornan walk away and then there was silence between them. "I'm shy." Crissy said. "I know." Hale said taking a drink of water. "I want to have sex." Hale's mouthful of water came spewing out and he started coughing. Crissy pounded on his back until she was sure that Hale wasn't going to choke to death. "You want to have sex?" "Yes." "Please say it's with me." "Nope. Taka." "Oh." "Moron, of course I want it to be you." "Oh, thank god." Hale heaved a sigh of relief. Crissy rolled her eyes. "I know it took a lot for you to say that to me, Pumpkin." Hale reached out and caressed her cheek. "Hale, I've never, you know." "I know. I promise I'll take care of you." Crissy stood up and held out her hand. "Come on then Captain." "Yes, Ma'am." Hale said standing up to take Crissy's hand. He led her to his room. "We can take this a little bit at a time." Hale told her. "I've been dreaming about you for months Hale." "I've been dreaming about you for longer." "What do you mean?" "Come here." He pulled her down on the bed with him. "Tell me, Hale." "Your brother Cann served with me for almost five years." "He did?" "Yep. I watched you grow through his eyes, Crissy." He smiled. "From a coltish fifteen year old girl to a twenty year old unsure woman." "Cann promised that I would be watched over if anything ever happened to him." Crissy could feel herself tearing up at the thought of her brother's death. "And I've kept that promise," Hale said hugging her. "I had to pull quite a few strings to get you in with me." "Cann was a good soldier wasn't he?" "The best I ever served with." Cann had more faults than Hale could ever count. But he always watched Hale's back and he loved his sister with a great devotion that endeared him to Hale, who had no family of his own. "Now that Cann is gone, I don't have any more family." "I'll be your family, Crissy." "What if things don't work out between us?" "I will always be there for you no matter what. I made that promise to your brother and I'm making it to you now." "You don't know what that means to me Hale." "I think I can imagine." Hale snuggled down onto the bed with Crissy who was already falling asleep. Sex would be great between them, when she was really ready for it, but he was doubly glad that he was starting to form an emotional bond with her. He fell asleep knowing that she was safe in his arms. Fallout 2 - Navarro Ch. 09 Sorry that it's taken so long. I'm so ashamed! Forgive me. I've been working on my MK stories and this sat on the back burner. This is the last chapter of Navarro. There will be others in the future. Keep an eye out for Tales of the Den and California Love. Once again, sorry this took so long. mac "Just show me Cara," Cord said. "No. It's awful." "Cara!" He barked, doing a decent imitation of Dornan. "Fine." Cara pulled off her shirt and turned around so that Cord could see her back. "I'm going to be sick." "Really!?" She asked turning quickly. "Nope. Just wanted to see your boobs." Cord joked. "God." Cara crossed her arms over her chest. "That was not very funny Cord." "I thought it was." He reached out and took her in his arms and caressed her back. She was only five four but she seemed much smaller to him. "I've seen worse, I promise you." "After a while the raiders stopped picking me out." Cara said. "Felt good not to be abused by them and hurt at the same time." Cord guessed. "Yeah. "I won't abuse you Cara, but you definitely have my full attention." "You want to have sex with me even with my back the way that it is?" "Cara your fronts pretty damn gorgeous." he said looking down. "So you like them?" "Yes," he said swallowing hard when she moved out of his arms to give him a better view. "I've always been a breast man," Cord told her. "And yours are perfect." "Melinda had nice breast." Cara said unsurely. "They were too big," Cord said reaching out to run a callused finger over a small pink nipple. He smiled when she gasped. "Besides," he said with a smile. "Hers were beginning to sag and yours are perky." "God, Cord," she said with a laugh. "You know just what to say." "I try." Cord pulled her back into his arms and bent his head to kiss her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back with everything that she had left inside of her. He pulled away and looked down at her. "Are you sure?" She smiled as she slid her pants down her hips and went to lie on the bed. She beckoned to him with a finger. "I'm definitely sure." A shiver went up Cords spine and then his cock sucked all the blood from his brain and all he could think about was burying himself in her waiting pussy. He had his clothes off in record time and he just managed to stop himself from pouncing on her like a wild animal. He covered he body with his and kissed her desperately while he explored her body with his hands. She reached down and ran her tiny fingers across this stomach making his cock jump. He kissed his way down to her breast and took one of her stiff nipples in his mouth, sucking it hard. She gasped and arched her back. He ran a hand down to her pussy and pushed a finger into her wetness. She was tight and hot and he had to be inside of her but he held himself back. First things first. Her pleasure came before his. He felt her shiver as he pushed a second finger inside of her and waited for her to adjust to his invasion. When she was ready he brought his lips back to hers and started moving his fingers in and out of her. Gently at first but then stronger. Soon he was pumping four fingers into her pussy, hoping that would be enough. He was only about six inches long but he was pretty thick and he didn't want to hurt her. She gasped and he felt her clench around his fingers in release. He reared up, quickly grabbing her hips, and flipped her over on her stomach. "Cord no!" She cried. She struggled to get up but that just put her in a prime position. He smacked her ass and commanded her, Dornan style, to be quiet and hold still. He was a bit surprised when it worked, but happy too. He leaned forward a bit and started running both of his hands all over her back. She'd been badly savaged with the whip and her back was a mass of scar tissue but that didn't daunt Cord. The scars were part of who she was now and he could accept that. He positioned his cock at the entrance of her pussy and pulled her forward, plunging into her. "Perfect." He groaned as her pussy gripped his cock tightly. Cara reveled in the feeling of Cord's cock pumping in and out of her. He didn't care about the scars; he just wanted her for her. She smiled and closed her eyes letting herself go, giving herself to him completely. Cord desperately held himself back until he felt Cara orgasm and then he let himself go inside of her waiting body as her pussy milked his cock. They both collapsed and after a few moments he heard her sigh with satisfaction. He smiled and kissed one of her scars. "I like jerky." He told her with a smile. "You're too wonderful." She said hiding her face. "I don't deserve you." "No it's me who doesn't deserve you." He pulled her to him in an almost bone crushing hug. "I'm not going to let you go Cara." "I don't-" "Stop talking." He covered her mouth. "It's time to sleep. We have a lot to do tomorrow." She nodded and snuggled into his chest and closed her eyes, letting herself fall asleep instead of fighting it, for the first time in months. 000 "You will pack quickly! You will pack efficiently! I will hear no complaints or I will find a pack of death claws and feed your sorry asses to them!" Dornan yelled at the Navarro grunts making them work even faster. "The move is coming along well," Jason said to Dornan. He was thankful that Dornan had willingly come back from the vault to help supervise the moving. He really could make the other soldiers hop too. "I'm glad that it's been going so smoothly." Dornan said. "It's been hell the last six weeks, getting the vault cleaned and ready. It's just been one thing after another. I swear Kali wasn't sleeping more than two hours at a time." "Culluch was pissed to see Quinn looking so haggard." Jason said smiling at the thought of Culluch standing up to both Jason and Dornan, telling them to both piss off, Quinn was going to bed and not getting up for two days. "I didn't blame him. I wanted to do the same thing with Kali, but I knew how much this all needed to be done." "And you drove yourself as hard as you let her drive herself." "I guess." He'd also promised to let her take him camping for a week when the vault and the move were finished. "Quinn and Culluch are talking about adopting a brilliant orphan." Jason said looking over at Ian talking to two of the grunts. "They'll make great fathers." Dornan said with a smile. He hadn't spoken to Kali about kids but he definitely wanted a son to pass his skills onto. "Hmm." Jason shrugged. "I know." "You and Ian could do the same." Dornan said quietly. "You would both make great fathers too." "I don't know if I'm cut out to be a father." Jason said quietly. "Of course you are," Ian said coming to stand next to him. "You have no compunction about fathering anyone younger than you." "It's true," Dornan said glaring at a grunt that had stopped to listen. "For what it's worth, sir," she said ignoring Dornan. "You remind me a lot of my own father and I worshiped him." She walked away to go and help another soldier. "See?" Ian said. "And we're not getting any younger either. We should consider it Jase." "We'll talk about it after we get settled at the vault." Jason said. "Don't think I'm going to let you forget this." Ian said. "I won't forget." Jason pulled Ian into his arms and kissed him. The grunts all stopped to smile, or whisper, or elbow a friend. "Back to work!" Dornan barked at them. "Knock it off you two. I refuse to watch your public display of affection when Kali isn't here for me to do the same too." Thankfully things were different than the old days, Dornan thought to himself. Before the bombs had fallen many people had seen homosexuality as some kind of sin. Now day's people took love where they could get it. Dornan had never had a relationship with a man but he had to wonder if he would have if Kali had been a man. He shrugged putting it out of his mind. It was time to focus on the move. 000 Jason stood in front of the group of soldiers and looked them over. The grunts, the techs, the officers, the senior officers, and the "new recruits" as he'd thought of the former slaves that had stayed on with them. They all stood quietly, waiting to hear what he had to say. He looked over at Ian, whose face was impassive but his eyes sparkled with merriment and love. Jason smiled at him and looked back at his people. "Fate damn well kicked us in the ass didn't she?" There were a few chuckles and quite a few nods of agreement. "I don't know what the future is going to bring us. Don't know what it holds in store. But I do know that this is a brave new world that we're facing. We will always be soldiers. We will always be Enclave. And now, on top of that, we will be a family. We're going to have to rely on each other to survive." Jason squared his shoulders. "You weren't sent to Navarro just because your number came up. When I was given my command I handpicked each and every one of you to serve under me. I chose you because you all had traits that I considered beneficial." He looked over at his senior officers. "Courage. Cunning. Loyalty." He smiled at Kali and her eggheads. "Knowledge and Skills that would benefit all of us now and in the uncertain future." He looked over at the grunts that were looking at him as if he were god. "Fresh faced enthusiasm that keeps some of us older cynics on our toes." Jason took Ian's hand. "Each of you has a great capacity for kindness. You were the ones that were open minded. The ones that cringed at the thought of slavery. The ones that stood bravely, facing our enemies head on. You are the men and women that I've been proud to serve with and lead. The ones I will be proud to have follow me into the future." He motioned toward the cavern that held the vault entrance. "Not where we all we all expected to be in the future, I know. But this is where we will make our place. You all know what you need to do so let's get to it." "Dismissed!" Dornan barked and they all headed into the vault.
