My eyes moved to another member of my staff and I continued without a break, "Lily, I wanted a column on the upcoming boutiques in the area, not an advertising column for super high brands, rewrite it." I looked over at another, "Jenna, you have to write about..." "Sir?", the girl I had nodded at blinked and said, "Sir, my name is Jennifer." I looked over at her and groaned inwardly once again, second time in a day, "yeah, Jennifer, sorry about that. Probably should stop reading the book I have been reading lately. So, where were we? Yeah, Miss Jennifer, the fashion line has to change, we did it last summer. I want something new..." and my morning continued. When everyone left and I was allowed a final moment of peace, I leant against my chair and heaved a sigh of relief. I closed my eyes. The moment I did, there she was, before my eyes, that hazed look, those half parted lips, uneven breathing, heavy lidded eyes and that intoxicating smell of hers. I had it bad, I wanted that girl but I still remembered that ringing sound of his slap and the sting was still high on my cheeks. I have never been slapped that hard and I was angry, furious at her. But the moment I closed my eyes, I could feel her lips on my mouth, her tongue rolling against me, in one of the most erotic kisses of my life. I wanted her and not only to have sex with her. I wanted to dominate her, to control her, to rein her wilderness. It was a very dominant feeling over me. How I wished I could tame that woman? I sighed in exasperation. My office phone rand loud, bringing me back to reality. I took the call. "Sir, we have an issue in the new advertise project for the Lolita bathing gel. Mr. Andrews wants to talk to you. Should I send him in?" I was a little surprised at the question. Have I changed my secretary lately? I wondered and then I shook my head. What is wrong with me? Of course I haven't. But why was Michelle asking me such a dumb question? "Of course, send him right in. Why are you asking me this?" I said, confused. There was a slight pause and then she said, "You have not been in a good mood ever since last morning." It was my turn to be silent now. She was right. I have been waivered from my work completely ever since I set my eyes on Jenna. I nodded and said, "Send him in." I put down the phone. I was in good terms with my secretary. Michelle was practically my friend outside the office and I have never shied away from discussing any problem with her. But somehow I couldn't bring myself to tell her about this. The door opened and my video director strolled into my cabin, smiling smugly at me. He sat down without permission and placed his hands on my table, gazing at me with a smile that he did little to hide. I ignored him and said, "What is the problem?" "I think I should probably ask you that?" Neil Andrews smiled mischievously at me. "I haven't got any updates about the project for the Lolita Gel ad. You are the first one to tell me. What happened?" I asked briskly, completely ignoring him. He sighed and leaned back into his chair. Neil was a hundred percent gay sweetheart. He was small, probably a five feet five and he had his own dressing style. He wore thick eye makeup which was always black and he turned every male and female head when he entered a room. People make their biggest mistakes by judging him on his beautiful boyish looks. The man had brains and the sharpest knack of getting on things. As far as I knew, he already knew what was wrong with me right now. Neil looked at me through his mascaraed eyes and said, "Well, the client needs a full milky simulation for the advertisement and we don't really have such expert 3d simulator for the work. It has to be done from outside." I racked my brains to think if we had anyone with that much of knowledge on the 3d genre but Neil was right, we didn't have anyone. I nodded and said, "Which studio would you recommend? I don't want it to be expensive. We already are hiring an expensive actress for that advertisement." Neil smiled widely and got up from his throne and said, "Actually there is an expert I know who can do this. I am sure she won't charge high either." I arched an eyebrow, "I didn't know you were interested in girls." "She is a very good friend of mine. She works at this lousy pathetic studio that doesn't treat her well. But she is brilliant. I can send you her works and then you can decide if you want to keep her." Neil said. "Keep her?" I asked. "Well, we do have a lot of projects enrolling in and we need a 3d expert. All things are going digital now. We have to be upbeat, Rylan," Neil said. "I know that. I have been thinking about it too but I am not keeping anyone so fast and so easily. She might have your recommendation but I want someone non-biased to her interviewed and checked out. Plus I am not guarranting a permanent seat unless she proves she is worth that seat." I said. "Send in her resume to Michelle's mail and I will see if she is worth an interview." Neil nodded smiling wide at me and then he turned to leave. I went back to my files. "There is a party tonight by the way." I looked up to see Neil smiling smugly at me again. I looked at him in question. He smiled and turned to leave again. I watched as he turned around and said, "You should probably go. There is a woman I want you to meet." With that he winked at me and was gone before I could rebuke him. I sighed again. I was sure Neil knew what was up with me and I didn't have the slightest idea how. I put my mind back to work and tried to forget the woman who was haunting me in broad daylight. It was quite a busy noon and I was knee deep in work when my office phone rang. I took the call as I looked at some of the logistics files. "Rylan," Neil sang through the phone. I nodded although he couldn't see me and as if he saw my nod through the call, Neil started off without any audible reply from me. "Well, I told my friend about it and she has agreed to come and give the interview to us. Isn't that great?" Neil said. I arched my eyebrow and said, "She HAS agreed to come and work for Emerald? Who is this friend of yours, who thinks she is doing us a favor by giving us an interview?" "Oh come on, I didn't mean it that way. She is a very loyal person and didn't want to leave her workplace but this time when I told her, she said yes without a question," Neil clapped his hands on the other side. I nodded and rang my desk bell to summon Michelle. "I am sure she did. No one misses an opportunity to work with Emerald," I said. I nodded to Michelle as she came in and she hurried to my desk. Neil made a sound as if he snorted and I ignored it. The boy had some dramatic nature. I could almost see him rolling his eyes. I closed the files and waved them to Michelle. "Tell her to send in a resume," I said. "I already did. I have it and I have in turn forwarded it to Michelle's email for her to check the data base. It is not really necessary. You have my word on this girl but I know you too well. So review it and please get me an artist before the deadline," Neil said. I smiled, shaking my head. The guy was too smart. "Alright Michelle will check her database and then if she thinks she is worth my time, then I will interview her tomorrow morning." Michelle nodded at that and I kept the phone before Neil could use his smart mouth to praise anymore about his friend. "We are having an interview?" Michelle asked. "You are doing a database check on a person Neil has recommended to me. She is supposed to be a very good digital artist. Take a light interview if the database is correct and if she surpasses you as good as Neil did in his, I will take her interview personally. Make sure you get this done before tomorrow. If that girl is worth all that Neil said, I want to interview her first thing in the morning," I said. Michelle nodded, "Sure sir. Shall I bring you another cup of coffee sir?" "Yeah, make it a bitter one." I said. ... That night even after the party and the pools of ever available women I ended up in my bed alone with the biggest hard on I had had in years. I couldn't sleep and the bed felt empty to me. I needed a warm pliant wild body next to me and the only one I could think of was my coffee lady. At midnight I finally left my bed and took a very cold shower to distract my longing body from its needs. I worked late and finally fell asleep at dawn. I woke up with a curse. My head throbbed and I was still sleepy. I dragged myself out of my bed and found out I had spilled myself all over it. I cursed myself. Another of those Jenna dreams. I took the sheet and threw it in the laundry bag. I really didn't want my housekeeper to find my bed sheet in that way. The sixty year old lady would probably have a fit. I hurried to get myself to office and cursed as I entered my floor. My phone rang. I took it, "Hello?" "Sir, your 9 o' clock is here. Are you going to be late?" Michelle asked. Did I have a meeting? I wondered. "My 9 o' clock?" "I checked her resume and it was correct and she is very good at her work. So I have scheduled her to be interviewed by you first thing in the morning, just like you said," Michelle said. "Oh yeah," I groaned softly. "I will be right there and Michelle get me some coffee, fast." I cut the call and hurried to my cabin. I hated being late. I rushed through Michelle's den and ignored the woman sitting at the back and moved into my cabin. I sank down into my chair and looked down at the resume file. I looked over it as fast as I could and thanked Michelle for the coffee, when she came. She even brought me a small doughnut. The woman was genius. I studied the file well and was quite impressed by the works of the waiting woman outside my cabin. Michelle came in in five minutes and cleared away my table. I told her to send the candidate in. I finally turned the resume to the first page and gasped. Jenna Makiakros!! The door knocked and I choked a sound. And then before me the evil queen of my lustful dreams was there. As I had had the slightest advantage of knowing whom I was meeting by seconds, I settled for the coldest look I had as she gaped at me in stunning surprise. She looked incredible. She wore an ice blue dress with a black cardigan and very soft pumps. Her beautiful tresses were pinned up into an exotic bun and I longed to pull out those pins and let them lose over me. She wore the slightest of makeup, with a slight mascara and eyeliner, drawing me to her even as we stayed yards apart. How the eyes spoke. They jumped emotions from surprise to the slightest bit of heightened nervousness to disbelief to nasty accusation. I controlled my emotions with all of my effort and I watched as she tried to control hers. I watched as she willed her hammering heart to calm down, her heaving breasts to soothe down and bring her breathing pace to normal. She, stood there for a long silent moment and we watched each other. I was literally rejoicing a monkey dance inside, that I finally had her, before my eyes and for now I could ask her questions and she would answer them this time. "You may sit down." I said. She stared at me, and I almost thought she would leave but then she moved towards me, eyeing me warily, trying hard to judge me. She slowly pulled out the chair and sank into it. "Your name, please?" I asked her. I smiled slightly as I thought how she had eluded me before. "Jenna Aileen Makiakros," she said. My inside monkey did a turnover at her voice. Beautiful. "How long have you been in this field Miss Jenna?" I asked her. "I would prefer if you call me by the name Aileen, sir" she almost spilled venom on that last word but how I loved the ring of it. Still feisty, I thought. I smiled and said, "How long have you been in this field Miss Aileen," I dragged the end part slightly and watched as she inwardly cursed me for making her name sound so slutty. "Almost two years," she said. I frowned and looked down at her file. It had numerous projects on it. "There is quite a number of projects in your file - too many for that short time period." She shrugged her shoulders the slightest and said, "It is a busy place at Xentrix." "So is Emerald," I said, "I hope you understand that the job you are applying for is quite much more difficult than your previous one, are you sure you can do it?" I challenged her. She was silent for a long period and then she said, "I am sure I can do it. It is a challenge - quite a huge jump from what I had previously, but I am sure I can take it. If I had had any doubts on myself, I would not have applied here." "Why are you leaving your workplace?" I asked. I watched as something very strong passed her eyes and then it was gone. "I wanted to experience something better and something more challenging. It was getting quite monotonous there," she said. "So why did you want to apply at Emerald?" I asked her my personal favorite question. "Cause it is a good opportunity and it came on the right time," she said. I slightly tilted my head at that. I wasn't expecting for such blatant truth. People usually went on and on about Emerald's greatness to define why they wanted to work here but she had been so honest at that. "There is no one over you here to help you out and no one below you to share your work load. Are you sure you can handle this?" I asked. "I can handle it. I can handle anything," she said firmly. "I don't think that's right, Miss Aileen," I said, getting up from my place. I leaned over the table and said, "You didn't particularly handle that one kiss in the alley well miss Aileen." She got up on that. "I think then I will have to decline this post sir. I do not handle things like that at all." Her eyes burned at that and I watched as she collected herself from the chair and turned around to leave. I was there before she left. I stopped her, blocking her way and watched as she looked at me with the most hateful expression I had ever received. She made a move to get away and I let her. At the door I finally stopped her, "What happened in the alley was between two strangers, what happens here is not going to be the same Miss Makiakros. I was just testing you if you are really interested in this job. Plus I don't mix my personal and professional lives." We stared at each other for a long time till she finally lowered her eyes and nodded. I smiled and said, "So I hope you understand why I can't give you the job even if you are the best person for it." She jerked her head back in my direction. Her eyes locked with mine again and I watched the emotions in her eyes roll as electricity charged between us. Her lips parted slightly as if she couldn't believe what I have said. Her eyes were mixed with disbelief and an emotion that almost screamed she was scared of me. I waited till the words sink knee deep into her and struggled with myself to leave her untouched. I was not going to touch her without permission. Not again. I leaned to her, careful not to touch her and whispered, "I want you jenna and I want you enough to reject you even with your brilliant work skills and then take you to my bed and keep you there for a long, long time." Her eyes flashed before me and I watched as she stepped back from me. Even though I had promised myself I wouldn't touch her I took a step at par with her step. She took another one and so did I, till we ended up at my desk. She cleared her throat and said, "I guess, I should leave now." I smiled and nodded, "I guess you should but before you leave..." I took my personal business card and wrote my personal cell no. on it, "Here is my contact details, call me when you need my help." She slowly took the card for me and edged away from the desk. She moved to the door while she kept a hawk's eye on me. At the door, she turned to face me and I watched as she tore it into bits and threw it towards me. They fell. I arched my eyes at her in question. "You can keep your details and your help to yourself. I think you need it much more than I do," She turned and walked out of my life again. I smiled. I was sure I would meet her again. I was damn sure of that. The Girl I Wanted To Bed Ch. 03 Hey guys. Thanks for your lovely feedback and new readers, please read the first two chapters of this series. you will understand the situation better then and I hope you like it. thank you once again. HAppy reading. ***** I closed the door with a resounding thud and turned to look at her. She laid on my huge king sized bed, glaring at me across the room. Her eyes threatened to kill me. My body pulsed at the way her eyes spoke volumes to me without using any words. I loved how her thick lashes tried to hide the real emotions swirling inside her - the scared nervous girl she was. Yet the look of bravado stayed etched on her face. "Stay away from me," she hissed, in that husky voice of hers, that brought goose bumps all over my arms. How can anyone be so lethal and yet so vulnerable? My eyes roamed over her porcelain smooth skin. The silken tresses that was a fair warning for me from a mile, the dreamy almond eyes that glared at me, the Grecian proud nose that stood high even when she lay as a prey to me, the parted mouth that I longed to taste again and again. They beckoned me. The neck arched as she struggled showing off that sexy little mole on her olive toned skin, which I longed to mark as mine. The soft perfect mounds that I wanted to cradle my hands on, the deep navel set in her voluptuous body where I wanted to dip my mouth in and then the secret haven beneath it that was hidden between the long sculpted legs she had. Oh, how I wanted her. It almost made me wonder if she was the predator and I was the prey. I moved towards her and within a stride I was there near the bed, towering over her small frame, lusting over her. Almost as if in a trance I leaned down over her. My hands imprisoned her on either side as I descended over her. So close, so damn close... "Don't you dare touch me," the sharp angry voice cut fast across my fantasy. I woke up with a start. "Damn you, Jenna," I cursed her. I breathed out slowly. My body was sweating and I had a raging hard on. Not again, I thought in despair. I looked over the crumpled sheets to the clock on me bedside table. It was four in the morning! I fell back on the bed. Will this ever stop? I wondered. I certainly could not sleep now. I moved out of my bed and went straight to my bathroom. I opened the shower to its full force and stepped under it. I groaned as the ice cold water hit me. I vowed to myself then - one day Jenna, I will make sure I take full compensation for every cold shower I have had to take because of you and much more. I kept the shower on for a long time and finally after what felt like hours, I felt myself go back down. 'Don't think about her,' I told myself strictly and then of course my treacherous mind had to remember the jaw dropping moment when she entered my cabin. I shook my head in frustration as I got aroused all over again. Damn. I went back to my bed and the rest of the night was lost in sighs. The next morning I was knee deep in work when the door of my cabin opened and Neil entered. I inwardly cursed his timing. Who was I kidding? Of course he was going to come. I had rejected Jenna without any reason. Even Michelle had been surprised and of course I hadn't given any explanation to her. I racked my brains for an explanation but Neil was smiling at me with that irritating smug smile he had. As if he knew what was wrong - of course he knew what was going on. "You are supposed to knock," I reminded him. Neil looked back at the door as if he had forgotten that it existed, then he turned back to me with a smile and said, "That is when I come here as your employee. I have come here as a friend." My eyes narrowed on its own - What is this guy up to now? Neil raised his hands at once in surrender and said, "I was going to invite you to my birthday party. Don't be always so mean and suspicious." "Your birthday?" I asked. Neil smiled brightly, "it is this Friday. I checked it out with Michelle. You are all clear. Please give me company on that day. Please. Please. Please." He begged and I could almost make out the crocodile tears that he had ever ready. I arched my eyes at him. Something didn't feel at place here but I couldn't point it out yet. Neil pouted and folded his hands, "You are the only friend I have. Say yes." I stared hard at him but of course the man was ingenious with expressions and all I saw was his crocodile tears threatening to fall. I sighed and nodded. "Fine," I said. Neil clapped and beamed at me, "The celebration will be at my place at eight. Do not be late." I nodded. I waited for him to say something about Jenna but he didn't. He turned and was about to go. I called after him, "Neil, I have decided to contact Xentrix for the Lolita Gel ad but on our terms." He turned to face me. "Why them?" he asked. I smiled inwardly. For the first time Neil couldn't decipher what I had in mind. I looked at him seriously and said, "Their work is good and they are desperate for good contacts and we are a huge contact." Neil pondered over it and nodded silently. "That's a good decision," he said and then I heard him mumble, "They are desperate." 'What?" I asked him. Neil shook his head and said, "We need a 3d artist though. It is expensive to contact a studio all the time and even I am not good with the 3d zone." "Yes we do," I said and waited again for him to say something about Jenna but he didn't. "Tell Sean to research such a person and send me the resumes and work reels." Neil nodded and left without another word. Something was surely wrong. I concluded the moment he went. What the hell was Neil cooking up? I wondered. But the phone rang then and I was again drawn deep down into my massive work load. ... "Sir, you have to leave at 7 o clock, so shall I tell the guard to keep your car ready?" Michelle asked. I remembered then. Neil's birthday. Shit. I had completely forgotten that. I didn't even buy a gift. I sighed and nodded to her. "Ask Miranda not to prepare dinner for me and Michelle, please arrange a gift from me for Neil," I begged the last part. Michelle smiled and nodded, "I already told Miranda and your clothes are ready at home and I knew you would forget so I already have got something on your behalf." "Really?" I asked amazed and thanked the gods for Michelle once again. "I will be right back," she said and left my cabin only to return with a small jewelry bag. I looked at her curiously. She didn't do anything crazy, I hope. She looked at me and chuckled, "Oh please, give me some credit. Neil has always been into all these junk stuff. So I got this for him." She opened the velvet box and put it before me. It had a single metallic ear stud nestled between the soft velvet. It was long and pointed and had a dragon made out of silver. It yelled Neil's name. "That is why sometimes I feel like putting you in a pedestal and worship you." I said. Michelle laughed. "Neil will love it," I said as I touched the heavy stud. Michelle wrapped it back and said, "I will remind you at seven then. Please don't make me kill you." "I will try," I said. When she left I pondered again that something felt amiss but I couldn't really point it out. I went back to work. At seven Michelle reminded me and I hurried off to home. I showered and put on casual jeans and a white shirt. I took the gift bag and drove off to Neil's place. It was a full floor flat in one of the modern apartments at the other side of the town. The parking lot was full when I reached. I should have known. I groaned. Neil had a full party going on. How typical was that? I went up the lift and rang the doorbell. I was about to accuse Neil of lying when the door opened and SHE was there. The air left my lungs. She looked stunning. Good Lord. How much sexiness have you put in one woman? We stared at each other and slowly me eyes moved over her. She looked ravishing. It was a plain midnight blue dress that fell to her knees, giving me a very great view of her sculpted legs. It was a halter and all those parts of her arms and shoulders that had stayed hidden beneath the clothes she has worn before were now before me. She had a sexy collarbone and I wanted to suck that up. I almost groaned in frustration. Her hair was pleated into a messy bun and she had applied little make up. I slowly realized she was staring at me too. 'Well that was nice.' I thought smiling down at her. But of course she was my one and only ice queen. The moment I smiled down at her, she froze into her rigid state and scowled at me. "What are you doing here?" she asked. "Stop thinking so high about yourself. I am here for Neil," I said. At that moment the person in question yelled from inside and rushed to me. He was wearing one of his most bizarre yet stunning looks and he smiled widely when he saw Jenna and me together. Of course, I realized. He had set it up. He smiled widely at me and said, "I thought you won't come," then he looked at Jenna and said, "Oh yes, as you two have met each other, I don't think you need another introduction." Jenna turned to him and I groaned out. Her dress which was demure from the front had no back at all and it ended steeply at her waist in a deep V. Her beautiful smooth skin was out on display and touch. Why are Gods so cruel? Neil grinned and Jenna hastily turned to my side. "Come on Jenna, don't be so angry on Rylan. He thinks a little too highly of our company and that's why you couldn't bag the job," Neil said. Jenna grimaced and looked at me. I smiled and said, "I am very sorry Miss Aileen but I do hope you understand. I hope you have not forgotten what I said to you, did you?" She turned a deep shade of red as she remembered the small office conversation. She struggled to keep it in check. She stammered, "Neil, I will be right back. I think someone needs a drink there..." Neil stopped her and said, "Please Jenna, enjoy the party and Rylan hardly knows anyone here. Why don't you be my darling and give him some company? You don't mind, do you?" Jenna was almost berserk but of curse Neil was not hearing things. I smiled, "I really don't mind her company." "There, it's done. Now if you please excuse me, I see a very hot guy over there," Neil said. I handed the gift to Neil and wished him before he disappeared, leaving us alone. We stood for a long time and then she turned to me. "I don't want to be with you and ruin my evening, so I will leave." Wow. That's harsh. I thought. "Am I so boring?" I asked her. "No, I like boring. You are irritating." She said, spitting fire from her eyes. "Really? Now I know we have been on a bad start, but come on. I really can behave as a gentleman," I said. "I don't really care how you can behave," she said and left me. I followed her and we reached the drinks counter. She turned towards me and said, "Why are you following me?" "You really have a high opinion of yourself miss Aileen," I dragged the end part again, "It is an open bar. I am here for a drink." I turned to the attendant and ordered myself a martini. She jerked herself and then ordered herself a soft drink. The crowd increased and we were pushed off into a little corner. Someone pushed against her and she fell over me. She winced. I glared at the culprit and immediately shifted so that now she was between the wall and me. She looked away and after a long time she spoke, "Thank you for that." I smiled down at her and said, "I told you I can behave." She didn't answer me and made a move to leave. I let her. I watched as she hurried off away from the crowd. Throughout the evening our eyes kept meeting each other. Wherever I went I sought her out and of course we would find each other staring at one another and always she looked away immediately. I tried to understand the way her mind was working inside. She was elusive and face was expressionless. Neil met me near the dance floor and he dragged me out to it begging me to dance with him. "I really want to dance with that hot guy who is dancing with Jenna. So don't be such a selfish mean person that you are on my birthday. I have asked the DJ to announce us to change partners when I reach near him," Neil said. He didn't actually need to give me such a lone explanation. I myself wanted to get Jenna away from the arms of that man who was holding her so dearly. I didn't like the way he held her. She was mine. "Let's go," I muttered and I took Neil to the dance floor. We danced and I must say Neil was a very good dancer but it was someone else's moves that had me transfixed to them. We moved to the couple and as soon as we did, the DJ asked us to change partners. Neil literally ran to the man who was dancing with Jenna. I loathed the man already. Jenna looked around but I was the only available partner. She stopped and the song started. We stared again. I finally stepped to her and bowed, "May I have this dance?" She was silent for a long time and then she said, "I can't really dance. Excuse me." I followed her this time. She moved out of the crowd and we reached the terrace garden. There were very few people there and even they were descending down. She turned to face me and shouted angrily, "Why are you following me? Need a fresh air?" My eyes narrowed and I said, "I wanted to know why are you afraid of me?" She jerked back and stammered, "What do you mean? I am not afraid of you." I took a step towards her. No touching. I told myself. She stepped back. "Then explain me why you run even when I am a perfect gentleman to you?" She looked away and after a long time she said, "I am not running away from you. I do not care about you. Why will I care about you?" "Say it with your eyes on mine." I challenged her. She didn't look up and I stepped again. "Excuse me," she tried to move again. I let her go but I called out after her, "Its because you feel it too, don't you?" She turned back to me, "feel what?" "The connection that we have," I said simply. "What are you talking about? There is no connection between you and me," She said. "There is and you know it," I said to her. I stepped up again and she couldn't move back this time. I was so close to her. I leaned down over her and said, "You are afraid of it and that's why you are running away from me." "I am not afraid of you and I am not running away from you and there is no connection between us. There is no us." She said. Her eyes ablaze and her body charged up. I didn't know if it was from the untruthful denial she was admitting or the closeness we had. "Then prove it," I challenged her. She didn't think and fell right into my trap, "How?" "Let me kiss you." I said. The Girl I Wanted To Bed Ch. 04 I am sorry, readers. It has been a while but here is the next chapter. I promise the next coming chapters would be hot as hell. Enjoy reading. ***** "I am not afraid of you and I am not running away from you and there is no connection between us. There is no us." She said. Her eyes ablaze and her body charged up. I didn't know if it was from the untruthful denial she was admitting or the closeness we had. "Then prove it," I challenged her. She didn't think and fell right into my trap, "How?" "Let me kiss you." I said. There was a loud silence between us. She stared at me stunned. Her eyes wide, her mouth slightly parted and her whole state frozen. I tilted my head, and then stepped closer to her. I whispered, "Let me kiss you, Jenna." "That was the worst ploy any guy would do to get a kiss," she said slowly, "Are you that desperate?" "Are you that big a liar to deny what we have?" I retaliated back to her. Her eyes narrowed and her head stuck high as she glared at me. She inched closer and tilted her face slightly towards me, offering her lips in invitation to me. She whispered, "Go on kiss me and prove yourself right to me." Was she really letting me kiss her? I could not believe it. It could not be so. She would not let anything go by without a fight, then how... I stared at her inviting lips and slowly leaned down to kiss them. My lips brushed again her frozen ones and I felt her tremble against me. My smile widened as I slowly took her lower lip and suckled at it. Her mouth opened beneath me readily. So sweet... I thought as thousands of emotions rumbled into me. Her scent swirling around me and I was lost into her when suddenly a sharp pair of canines dug into my lips and I tasted blood. I pushed her away as the pain seared in my mouth. She had a satisfied smile on her mouth. She said, "Yes, I am sure now that we have a connection. I literally cannot live without you. My whole soul is seared to the very end with this revelation." I stared at her dumbfounded, my lips pursed in anger and shock. She smiled in satisfaction and then she flicked her hairs and she was gone. Just like that. Gone. ... Jenna was still smiling as she moved to the exit. A hand stopped her and she whipped around to face Neil. "Gosh, you scared me!" she said. "You are leaving?" Neil asked. "Yeah, you have some seriously low standard people around here," she told him. Neil raised his hands in alarm, "Do not look at me like that! I have no idea about whom you are talking about." Jenna arched her eyebrows at him and pursed her lips challenging him to say another lie. Neil closed his eyes and shook his head in exasperation, "Ok. Fine. I know whom you are talking about. I don't know why you two don't gel up? You two are perfect for each other?" "Oh really? And how did you deduce that one?" Jenna asked her best friend. Neil gave another exasperated shake and she sighed, "Neil, I know you want to help me but seriously I have had my share of creeps in one lifetime and Rylan Washer is too much for my plate. Do not pursue this matchmaking craze of yours again. Not with him." "Why?" "Why?" Jenna literally shouted back at Neil, "Because he is an arrogant man who thinks he can have any damn woman because of his amazing career and rich looks and his ridiculous bank balance. He is highly delusional about his own personality. He thinks he is charming and women will lie down on his feet and beg him to be in their life, but he is wrong. The only type of women that he ever has a hope of achieving are all those feather-headed, goose-brained, clingy, idiots that you detest. He is a shallow man and I am too refined for his palate. He can never be the man for me. Ever." "I see." "Thank god, you see," Jenna said and then she realized something. Neil had not open his mouth for a while and the last words have not come from him, it had come from a person behind her. Her heart slummed down as she slowly reluctantly turned to face the man she had just so highly praised. He towered over her and his grey eyes were in flames. She could not make out what it was - anger or something else but it had the intensity to burn her then and there. "I am arrogant?" he asked her. Jenna turned her back towards him and said, "I did not lie what I said just a while back. If you want to make yourself believe if I really said it, then I will personally confirm that I meant every word that I said just now." She clenched her palms just the tiniest bit, 'Shit! Where did he come from?' "If that's the case then I guess I lost our little bet right now. You are the least affected by our kiss," he said. I closed my eyes, 'Why did he had to mention it before Neil! Now he will never hear the end of it.' I looked up and found Neil smiling wide at me. "So in that case, as you have just defeated my stupid fantasy about us having a connection I would like to request you to join my firm as our new 3d artist and manager," He said. Jenna looked back at him in disbelief. 'Is the guy for real? I just bit him, beat him, and called him all sorts of things and yet here he is offering me a job.' She thought. "I am sorry but I am not interested," Jenna said. The best way out of this was to decline. "Really? I thought you were interested when you came to my office and gave the interview. I was in a delusion that time that there was something between us but you have proven me wrong and since you are so confident that I am nowhere ever going to be of any interest to you and can achieve only those feather-headed and goose brained clingy women, I do not see any reason why you should not accept the offer now?" He said. There was a glint in his eyes and his face was grim. It was one of those expressions when someone is controlling a lot of emotions inside and the mind is working on overdrive. Jenna knew the moment he said the next words that she was deep in trouble. "You are not afraid now, are you? After that remarkable speech about my shallow personality, you are not afraid that I might however have some effect on you," he said. A strange lump formed in her throat. How did it come to this? All she had wanted was to enjoy a decent evening but this man never seemed to let any stone unturned in her life. Why did he not just leave her be? She was not interested, was this too big to understand? It had always worked before. Her cold nature and rude behavior had always been enough to drive people away from pursuing her but then there were people like her present boss and people worse than that. HE was probably the worse one. "I am not afraid of anything. I just lost interest in working," she said... "Under me?" he added and his firm lips curved into an arrogant smile that brushed an angry knot inside her. Why the hell was this man so damn arrogant? She seethed with fury inside. He nodded and said, "I understand, Miss Jenna." She instantly shouted at him, "Do not call me that!" There was a loud silence after her outburst. Jenna shook her head to clear the anger she felt inside her. The fury was welling up to get out and get over the infuriating man before her. She hissed in anger and her eyes literally burned with unchecked emotions. The man before her stepped up and then came impossibly close to her. She leaned back to stay away from his handsome face. "You are a liar, Miss Jenna, you Are affected by me. Unlike what you said just a while back, my shallow personality does affects you and if you really want to prove yourself right then you will accept my job offer. I do not mix business with pleasure, but maybe you are afraid that you might," he whispered to her. She found it hard to breathe. Even when he was still inches apart from her, his proximity affected her. 'HE DOES NOT AFFECTS ME!' she shouted at herself and then she rose her eyes in defiance. "I will prove you wrong again, Mr. Washer. I accept but if you call my Jenna again, I sure will make you pay hell for it," she said. The Girl I Wanted To Bed Ch. 05 Hey Readers. She stared outside at the view. The traffic crawled below and the wind waved to her. She closed her eyes and sighed. She did not know if accepting the offer had been the right thing to do. Rylan Washer knew how to say the right things to her to make her accept what he wanted. She knew that her new job place was much better than her old one. She knew she had Neil there to support her and be with her. She also knew the pay was extravagant than her miserly past one. She even knew that this job was an amazing opportunity for her full display of talent but all of these things got cancelled with the one fact that she would have Rylan Washer in her life on a daily basis. The man was an enigma, however much did she want to deny the fact but he was a walking form of energy. He was tall, really tall and he towered over her small frame. His dark gorgeous looks with his café latte skin and gorgeous dark hairs were enough to drive any sane woman to hook onto him but she tried and she tried her level best to stay away from him because each time he had been even in the approximate nearness of a mile to her, she sensed that alarming danger warning in her head. He rocked her life with one wave, one word and the slightest of gestures. She was afraid of him. She did not want to admit but she knew she was afraid of his nearness. He was not like her previous boss - the lecherous bald guy who tried to pounce on her at every opportunity. He was nowhere like him but he was lethal. He threatened her entire existence and she feared the way he was bent on having her. "Why?" she thought to herself and sighed again. She hid her face in the crook of her arms and cuddled into herself. She had been ready to leave Xentrix but she doubted she was ready for Rylan. She doubted she would ever be ready for anyone or anything in her life other than work. She wondered if she was just a cold person. A blush crept to her skin and heightened at the memory of a long drawn kiss. The first time Rylan had kissed her, in that alley. The way his lips had moved over hers. The way his tongue had stroked her lips to part and then he had discovered all those sensitive zones in her mouth that burst into firecrackers with each flick of his tongue. The way his steel like arms imprisoned her under him and then his mouth made love to hers. She felt a tremor run along her spine just at the thought. 'No,' she said to herself. 'Why am I thinking like this? I shouldn't. That man is a master playboy and all he sees is you as a challenge and you got to prove him wrong. You worth more than this; much more than a trophy to be won.' She said to herself and sighed again. Jenna slept little that night. However much she tried and console herself that she was not affected by this change of events, she could not sleep over the idea at all. She twisted and turned the entire night trying to calm down her heightened senses. Her mind anticipating the next day and her body aware of the man she would meet again. Jenna gave up on sleeping at 4 o' clock. She dragged herself from her bed and had a really cold shower. 'I need to calm down!' she shouted at herself. She worked on some old papers and settlements to while away the time. When she heard Neil's door open on the other side of the flat she peeped out of her room and asked cheerfully, "Coffee?" Neil rubbed his eyes sleepily and pouted. He hated getting up in the morning. He made a half hearted nod and disappeared in the washroom. Jenna smiled and started cooking the breakfast for them. Half an hour later, Neil returned and sniffed happily at the warm smell of fried bacons and coffee. "Smells amazing," he said as he sat down at the dining table, "You sure do seem cheerful." "I got rid of a nightmare and it's the first start of a new life, of course I am happy and cheerful," Jenna smiled. "Sure," Neil said in that mysterious ways of his. Jenna made a face at him and got back to her cup of coffee. Neil stared at her and muttered something under his breathe. Jenna ignored him. The guy was not going to tell her, whatever was going through his mind. They finished their breakfast and then Neil drove her to their office. "One of the many perks about working here. Free transport," Jenna said. Neil smiled and said, "It's not going to be free you know, I will make you make coffee for me every morning from now." Jenna pretended to think, and then nodded, "I guess I can do that." They entered the huge office. Neil knew everyone of course and he called out greetings to them cheerfully as he made his way to his cabin. Jenna followed him unsure of what to do and where to go. He took her to the very end of the hallway and moved to the left to a glass door. Jenna stiffened as she realized where he was taking her. Rylan's office. His secretary smiled at him and said, "I hope you have good news for him." "Why is that?" Neil asked with a smile, "Bad weather?" "Hailing rain stones, since the morning," the woman said. Jenna looked out at the clear cheerful sky outside perplexed. The woman looked at her and held out a hand to her, "Aileen, right?" Jenna nodded and shook her hand, "Call me Jenna, please." "I am Michelle. Mr. Washer's secretary. I am the one you come to before any business with Mr. Washer," she said. Neil smiled and said, "She is also the godsend angel on earth who saves us from the Devil." Michelle snorted at that. She was about to say something when the bell at her desk chimed. She looked at Neil and rolled her eyes. She moved to the complete mirror door near her desk and opened it. Neil followed and Jenna stood her ground, confused about what to do. It was his territory. She had to move every space carefully. She stood alone outside before the door opened and Neil stuck his head to her. "Do you need an invitation?" he said with a smile. Jenna shook her head and entered the devil's lair. There were a hundred things that Jenna had expected of her first meeting with Rylan Washer, but it certainly wasn't the scenario that she was witnessing right now. The expansive ultra-modern cabin was filled with people. They all stood in an arc around the desk with notes or books or sketches. Papers went flying in the air as the person in the center of the arc came to her view. Rylan Washer stood before her- Tall, neat, enigmatic and to her realization, in a complete work mode. He wore a white shirt with rolled up sleeves and messed up hair. His face was screwed up in concentration. People around her seemed to all talk at once and it was more of a bee buzzing than any proper constructive discussion. Jenna listened to the couple of people standing near her and Neil. All of them seemed to be talking of different subjects all together. What the hell was going on? "Michelle?" a voice called out. Michelle rushed to him with a cup of coffee, as people continued their verbal duel ignoring his presence. Jenna shook her head. What had she expected? She watched as he had a sip of coffee and then read the files before him. He looked up from the files and then singled out a person from the gathering. "George," he said. The next moment the entire crowd fell silent. The guy he had singled out looked at him expectantly. "I want an Asian baby for the ad. Get a lesbian couple for that - one American, one African," Rylan said. He moved his gaze to another person, "Lily, you can't put an advertisement column for a high class boutique in the section of upcoming dress parlors. That's just too bad sentimentally. Put the section with the Lakme beauty products regiment. One column, no more than that." "Alex, what happened to the appointment with Mr. Henry Declare? I want the interview about his latest conquer on my issue this month. Talk to Neil, he knows someone who will help you on that," Rylan turned to look at Neil. His grey penetrating eyes settled at Jenna and he said, "Neil, I want the simulations and background for the Lolitha Gel ad in a week." His eyes shifted and Jenna started to breathe again. "Marilyn, contact the shooting department and get this shooting done by the week. I want the ad at the weekend." He turned his gaze back to Jenna and she bit her lips. However he didn't address Neil this time. "Will you be able to give the final product of the 3d simulation by this Thursday, Miss Aileen?" he asked. For a moment her tongue was stuck to the roof of her mouth but she managed to nod. He nodded once and then he went to the next person who was in a dilemma. He did not look back at her again. Jenna watched as he gave solutions to the people around him and how they hung on to his every word. They respected him, that was clear and he was brilliant at his job. The meeting ended in an hour and Rylan did not pay her any more glances other than that two times. Somewhere she was relieved and yet somewhere, in a tiny crook of her mind, disappointed. The crows dissipated soon, but Neil stayed and as she hardly knew where she was to sit and work, Jenna stayed too. Her hands fidgeted as Rylan poured over some sheets of paper. His mind deep in thought. After a long silence, Neil cleared his throat. Rylan looked up from his papers and his eyes zeroed in on her again. He lifted his eyebrows in question. Neil tilted his head on one side and said, "Where should I give her a seating place?" Rylan thought for a second then said, "Give her the empty cabin next door. Its empty and I need to check her work." Neil beamed and turned to leave but Rylan called out, "Miss Aileen, welcome to Emeralds." Jenna nodded and muttered a thanks before Neil pushed her out of the cabin. She let out a breathe, she didn't know she was holding. Neil chuckled. "You will get used to it. He is intense at the morning hour. Come on, I will introduce you to the people you will be working with now." The rest of the morning went without a hitch. Neil introduced her to many people and she get on well with everyone. She discovered her cabin was right in front of Rylan's cabin and had an amazing work station in it which drove her to ecstasy. She chatted with her new colleagues and project members, and understood her work for the ad. She even gave some valuable inputs to the discussion which scored her some brownie points with her teammates. At noon, she finally settled down to work at the workstation and forgot about everything except the screen before her. She was so in deep at work that she missed when a tall form stood behind her and watched her expert fingers work over the keyboards to create a three dimensional software liquid. Late in the evening, Neil struck his head into her cabin and said, "Having fun?" Jenna turned around and smiled, "It's different working here but I love this machine. I guess I won't be able to leave this place just because of this beauty." She patted at the monitor before her. "That's good, because I like your work," a deep voice said from the doorway. Rylan stood leaning on the doorframe. He moved towards her table and Jenna watched as her heart started to beat a little faster than usual. He leaned down over her and she smelled the musky masculine after shave he had on. He was too close. Jenna stopped breathing, scared that she might touch him if she would so much as breathe. He was looking at her screen and then suddenly he whisked his head towards her. "Will you please show me what you have done today?" he said. His voice was a deep drawl and for one hallucinating second his eyes dropped from her eyes to her lips and a glint passed over his steel grey eyes before he stared down into her green eyes again. Did it really happen? She asked herself as she showed him her created scene on the screen. Her hands trembled slightly. What the hell is wrong with me? He watched the file for a long time and as long as he remained near her, she forced herself to breathe quietly. Finally he moved back and away from her. He looked at Neil and nodded. "It's fine. I am looking forward to the complete scene." Then he was gone. Jenna watched after his retreating figure. Did he speak to her or Neil? "You did a good job. Let's go home," Neil said. Jenna nodded. Her mind was in a puddle and she needed to get out of this cabin to think straight. It was a good time to go back home and away from Rylan Washer.
