He wore a grey shirt and a black jacket, ripped jeans, and blue Vans. A ring adorned his finger, a silver band with a blue stone set in the top that he got for graduation. He never left anywhere without it. He had been invited to a party at his friend Steven's. He had known Steven for all 18 years of his life, but the guy was kind of insane in Wyatt's opinion. He walked up the drive, then knocked on the door. Steven answered in seconds. "Wyatt, you son of a bitch! Get the fuck in my house!" Wyatt grinned. Steven was a little taller than him, blonde, and crazy. Wyatt stepped inside to see about two dozen people talking and dancing. Steven led him in and said, "Ok. Gameplan: I go after... Jenna Bender. And you... Erica Paul is looking pretty good. Ok?" Wyatt shook his head. "Go after Jenna if you want, but there's no way I'm going after Erica. I'll find my own date." Steven sighed. "Ok. But you're fucked, mark my words. Wish me luck, bro." Steven rushed away, leaving Wyatt to look through the crowd. He tried to find a girl, but none of them seemed like his type. He gave up and went to find a seat. And there, sitting only a few feet from him, was a beautiful girl. She had red hair that fell to her shoulders and deep green eyes. She wore a green top and jeans, and some Converse. Wyatt looked at her, and he instantly felt attracted to her. Not in a sexual way, in a very warm and fuzzy sort of way. Wyatt sat down next to her and said, "Hi. I'm Wyatt." She smiled at him. "Hi, Wyatt. I'm Sarah." Wyatt took a deep breath and wiped his palms on his jeans. He was nervous as hell. "Ummm... So, I haven't seen you around before. Are you new to Rosedale?" Sarah nodded. "Yeah. It's really weird meeting all the new people." Wyatt tried to speak again, but he couldn't find the words. He began to panic. And Sarah noticed. "Are you okay?" Wyatt sighed. "Yeah. I just... look, you are extremely beautiful. And nice. It's hard to keep up." Sarah laughed. "Thank you. I'll try to go slower." Wyatt learned from talking to Sarah that her dad had moved her and her mom to Ohio from Nebraska when she was six. And they had just moved farther south in Ohio that week. Wyatt listened attentively, genuinely caring about what she said. At one point, a slower song came on. Sarah asked, "Would you like to dance, Wyatt?" Wyatt nodded, gulped nervously, then followed Sarah to the dance floor. She put her arms around Wyatt's neck, and he put his hands around her waist. They swayed, staying close together the whole time. Maybe closer than they needed to be. Wyatt looked down at the beautiful girl he was dancing with and grinned. Sarah smiled back at him and rested her forehead on his chest. Wyatt spent the entire dance going crazy happy inwardly. When the dance ended, Sarah stayed holding him for a few seconds longer than she needed to. Then, she let go and Wyatt smiled. * * * Later that night, as everyone began to leave for home, Wyatt caught up with Sarah and said, "Hey, Sarah? I wanted to know if... I mean, whether you'd want to... What I'm trying to say is-" Sarah put a finger on his lips to silence. "I'd love to go on a date with you. Here." She fished out a notepad and pen from her purse and wrote her number down, then handed it to Wyatt. "Call me. That's an order." Sarah grinned, then left. Steven walked up to Wyatt and asked, "So, how was your night while i was making out with Jenna?" Wyatt grinned and held up Sarah's number. "New girl. Extremely beautiful." He told Steven everything dirty about her he could think of, from boob size to how nice her ass looked. But in reality, he just admired Sarah. He would get that date. He knew he would. It would just take some time. To be continued (Feel free to criticize, it's how I get better as a writer.) (Also, the sex won't be for a couple of chapters.) Sunset Kiss Ch. 02 It had been a week since Steven's party. Summer had set in, along with summer vacation. June was halfway over already. Wyatt took that little piece of paper that had caused him many hours of debate, and dialed the number. After two rings, she answered. "Sarah Nieman." Wyatt grinned. "Sarah? It's Wyatt. From the party last week?" Sarah replied, "Hey, Wyatt. I was hoping you'd take me up on that date." Wyatt's cheeks turned red. Thank god it was a phone call. "Yeah. I actually am." He said. Sarah said, "Awesome! So, what do you wanna do?" Wyatt answered, "I was thinking a movie. There's a showing at the movie theater tomorrow. If you wanna go, that is." Sarah replied, "I'd love to. You pick me up, or what?" Wyatt nodded, then realized she couldn't see him and said, "Yeah, I'll pick you up." Sarah said, "Can't wait. See you tomorrow." Wyatt said, "Yeah. Tomorrow." He hung up, then shouted, "Yes! Yes!" His dad walked in just then and looked at his son. "What... Never mind, I don't want to know." Wyatt sighed and fell on the ground in embarrassment. * * * The next afternoon, Wyatt picked up Sarah at her house, and they headed to the theater. Wyatt paid, then they headed in to the screwing room. As the movie started, they sat down. They had little interaction for a bit of the movie besides sitting next to each other. At one point, their hands touched while they both were reaching for popcorn. They looked at each other and Sarah smiled. She put out her hand, palm up. Wyatt grinned, gripping her hand. Their fingers intertwined, and throughout the rest of the movie, Wyatt knew that he had been right about his hunch. He liked Sarah more than just as a friend. When the movie ended, they stood and Wyatt reluctantly began i let go of her hand. Sarah asked, "What are you doing? Don't like me?" Wyatt smiled. "Sorry, I just thought... you wouldn't want to keep holding hands." "Well, I do. In fact, when we drive back, you'll park at your house and walk me home and I will hold your hand whether you like it or not." Wyatt chuckled. "You're determined. I like that." They left the theater, and Wyatt drove home. He parked in the driveway, then they got out of the car and he started walking Sarah home. She held his hand, as promised. "So... You actually like me?" Wyatt asked. Sarah nodded. "Yeah. I'd like to do this more often, if that's ok with you." Wyatt grinned wide. "Definitely." After a few minutes of talking and laughing, they were at Sarah's house. The sun was setting in the distance. Wyatt said, "So, I guess I'll see you soon?" "Yeah. Thanks for the night. I had fun." Wyatt turned to leave, but Sarah held him back. She made him face her and leaned in her lips meeting his gently. Wyatt was surprised for a minute, but returned the kiss. After a few seconds that felt like lifetimes, Sarah pulled away. "Night." She said, and walked inside. Wyatt nodded and grinned. "Night." He then began the walk home. To be continued (Criticize my writing. It makes me better. Say whatever you must.) Sunset Kiss Ch. 03 Wyatt laid in bed, grinning. He could remember the feel of Sarah's lips pressed against his, her body almost touching his. He couldn't stop smiling. It had been the best thing he'd ever experienced. Sure, he'd kissed girls before. But Sarah was different. * * * The next day, Wyatt heard the phone ring. He rushed to answer. "Hello?" He smiled as he heard Sarah's voice over the phone. "Hey, Wyatt." Wyatt said, "Hey, Sarah. What's up?" Sarah took a deep breath. "Look, I loved last night. I had a lot of fun. And... I wanted to know if you'd want to go out again?" Wyatt was surprised. He'd enjoyed their date a lot, but he hasn't expected Sarah to ask him out for a second date. Hell, he hasn't even been sure she'd had a good time. But here she was, asking him for a second date. Wyatt replied, "I would love a second date. What were you thinking?" "Well, I heard there's a really sweet bowling alley in town." She answered. Wyatt laughed. "It's actually pretty shitty. But I'd love to go. How about tomorrow? I've got a doctors appointment today." Sarah said, "Yeah. I'll come by around four. We'll walk there?" Wyatt nodded. "Yeah. You can't see, but I'm nodding." Sarah giggled. "Ok. I'll see you tomorrow." Wyatt smiled. "Yeah. See you tomorrow." * * * The next day, at four, there was a knock on the door. Wyatt opened the door to reveal Sarah. She wore a red shirt and shorts, with some brown sandals. Her red hair was tied back in a ponytail. "Hey. Ready to go?" She asked. Wyatt stood there for a moment, smiling. Then he nodded. "Yeah. Just let me get some shoes on." He grabbed his Vans and quickly pulled them on. "Let's go." He closed the door behind them, an they began the short walk to the bowling alley. After a minute or two, their arms touched, and Sarah smiled, then took his hand in hers. Wyatt looked at her and grinned again. "What?" She asked. "Nothing. You're just... adorable, if you don't mind me saying so." Wyatt replied. Sarah chuckled. "I don't mind. Thank you." They walked the rest of the way to the bowling alley talking about who was the better bowler of the two of them. When they arrived, Wyatt paid for everything, and they got ready to bowl. After two games, it was obvious that Wyatt was much better. Sarah sighed. "Ok. You win." "What's the prize?" Wyatt asked, smiling. Sarah leaned forward and kissed him, her soft lips meeting his. It lasted a few precious seconds, and then Sarah pulled away. "Is that good enough?" She asked. Wyatt pretended to think. "I'm not sure. I might need another one." He decided, grinning mischievously. Sarah conceded and kissed him again. Her body was less than half an inch from Wyatt's, her arms gripping his shoulders. Then, she pulled away again, more reluctantly this time. Wyatt nodded. "I'm fine now. So, dinner? I know a good Italian place." Sarah nodded. They turned in their bowling shoes and balls, then walked to the place Wyatt mentioned. They got a table and ordered, then started to just talk. "So, you're new in town." Wyatt prompted. "Yeah. It's weird, moving and shit. You know?" She asked. Wyatt shook his head. "No idea. Never moved before. Lived in Rosedale my whole life." They talked throughout the meal, laughing and smiling almost perpetually. When the meal was over, Wyatt paid the check, and they walked back to Sarah's house, hands intertwined. Wyatt said, "You know, I've never met a girl like you before." Sarah said, "I hope that's a good thing." Wyatt laughed. "It's definitely good. Because you're special. And I like you." Sarah's cheeks turned red. "Wow. Thank you. I like you, too." She said. They walked in silence for a moment. "I had a good time tonight, Wyatt." Sarah said. Wyatt smiled. "Me too." Just then, they reached Sarah's house. Wyatt said, "Actually, I have something I want to ask you." Sarah looked slightly up at him since he was taller. "Well, I've enjoyed these last few dates, and I think you have, too. So, I was wondering if you'd want to be my girlfriend?" Sarah took only a second to think. She leaned forward and kissed Wyatt. It felt just as good as it had every other time to Wyatt; gentle, warm, intimate. But this time, Sarah didn't pull away. They kissed for the better part of three minutes. His arms held her waist, and hers were wrapped around his neck. This time, their bodies were as close as they could be. Wyatt could feel Sarah's breasts pressed against his chest, her body warm against his. Finally, Sarah reluctantly pulled her head back, keeping her arms around his neck. Wyatt murmured, "Is that a yes?" Sarah asked, "What do you think?" Wyatt smiled. Sarah let go of him, and he did the same. "I'll call you tomorrow." Wyatt promised. Sarah smiled. "I'll pick up. I promise. Good night." Wyatt smiled back. "Good night." He stayed standing there until Sarah's figure disappeared inside her house. Finally, he let out a happy sigh and headed home. To be continued... (Tell me how to be better. Criticize my work. Make me better.) P.S. I'm on vacation for the next two weeks, so chapters won't be regularly posted till then.
