Don't wait up for me," Jace Stanton called from the door way. He was a consultant for a high powered finance agency in their home town of San Diego. He was a tall and powerfully built man for a 27 year-old. He had 230 pounds of muscles to rival any wrestler piled on his beautifully tanned brown 6' 3" frame. His hands were massive and had looked to be made for building and creating but instead he chose numbers. His mind was as sharp as any scholar. He was truly a site to behold. They lived in a beautiful part of the city where all the neighbors were polite and the houses were something out of a story book with manicured lawns and pristine white fences. Their house in particular was immaculately decorated in each room with expensive furniture and wonderful modern paintings. They were the perfect couple living in the perfect neighborhood. They had a perfect life by all appearances. But that changed when Jace started working crazy hours at the agency. Their four year marriage was hitting a serious strain. "What...but I had some things planned for us to do today," Reagan Stanton sulked. "And there is something I want to talk to you about. I think it's important." She was upset that he was letting his job take up so much of his time. She had barely seen him for the last couple of days. Frustration marred her beautiful face and caused her delicate features to look even more beautiful. She rested her hands in disappointment on her slim hips that were just right for her 5' 6" 120 pound stature. Her brown skin was the perfect color of mocha. At 24 years old, she was a beauty. Together they were the ideal couple. "I know, I know but this is really a hectic time at the office for me. Whatever you want to talk about will have to wait. The work keeps piling on and I have to keep up. I want to be able take good care of us and I don't need any distractions," he said, walking over to where his briefcase sat. The way he held his brief case she thought that he should have married it instead of her. It was always near. She had been feeling neglected lately and she wanted just a little of his time. Even just to talk about the weather. But something always came up at the office and it kept him away for most of the day and well into the night. She hated that she would go to sleep alone in the bed that was meant for them both to be in. "But... this just isn't fair, Jace. I never see you anymore. I feel as though I have to call and make an appointment to see you now," Reagan stated firmly. She was at her wits' end with this. Something had to give. He sighed and began rubbing his temples, preparing to hear the same rant he had been hearing for the last couple of days. "Don't give me that bullshit today Reagan. I have a job to do and money to make. I won't get anywhere by just staying home all day. I have to be productive and get a head. The money won't make itself," he grounded out through gritted teeth. His anger was short today and he wasn't in the mood for this. "That's all you care about is money! I'm tired of this. I will not come second anymore. Money and status has got you seriously fucked in the head!" she yelled at him, her face was turning red with anger as she went on. "All you care about is that damn job and that damn briefcase! It's surgically attached to your fucking hand!" "I don't have time to hear this. I have to get to the office so if you don't have anything new to say, then I suggest you find something new to talk about," he said stoically. No emotion was discernable on his face. Ouch. And to add insult to injury, he turned his broad back and started walking to the front door as a further dismissal. With that she turned and stomped out of the room going to her "sleeping quarters" and slamming the door. That's what she called it now. Jace was never there to warm the spot beside her and that only increased the loneliness and resentment more and more. The tears started falling when she heard the front door angrily slam and the car start with a vengeance. Reagan knew that she would be sleeping alone again tonight. Alone. She had wanted to talk to him about the possibility of having children in the near future but the way he dismissed her, she knew it was impossible. She had been wanting a baby for a while and wanted to introduce the idea to Jace. But as usual he dismissed her when she tried to start a conversation with him claiming he had to go into the office and he needed to focus. As the hours ticked away and the sky became darker, it only confirmed to Reagan that she was going to bed alone tonight. That hurt worse than any punishment to her. She was slowly losing it. The last of the tears fell as she readied herself for bed, throwing on a ragged night shirt. As she slipped into the covers, she resolved that she would not cry about this anymore. It served no purpose. If he could be unemotional then so could she. With that in mind, she drifted off into a dreamless sleep. As Jace was sitting in his office, he couldn't concentrate on the files on his desk or what his assistant Kyle was babbling on about or even the cleaning lady vacuuming the office outside. His mind was at home with the argument that happened between him and Reagan. "Damnit!" he breathed out. He sighed and dropped his head into his hands. He was worn out. His assistant looked at him with startled eyes. He then brought his head up and told Kyle to leave for the night. Kyle was only too happy to oblige. Jace let out a slow breath as the door closed. Alone- he was finally alone with his thoughts of the argument. It wasn't supposed to affect him like his. He was strong. He needed to get a grip. As he sat in his chair behind his gigantic desk, he couldn't help but think of the way she yelled at him. The way her face showed anger marring into her beautiful features. Things shouldn't be like this he thought. His job comes first. He hated the way things were between them. He wanted to make things better between them but he didn't know what to do. He could only hope that things would get better after he got promoted to senior consultant. He just needed to hold on. Please Love Me Ch. 02 Jace finally came home around 2 am. As he sat in the car in the drive way, he couldn't help but think how much he was dreading going into the house. He didn't want to fight with Reagan anymore. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He just needed her to understand that his job is really important to him right now. He sighed and then worked up his courage to get out of the car and walked to the front door. As he stepped into the house, he noticed how dark and still it was, like it was deserted. All the pricey knick-knacks were just items to fill the empty home. He walked to the bedroom that he shared with Reagan. When he opened the door and looked to the bed, he felt his heart swell with emotion at what he saw. Reagan was curled into a ball on her side sound asleep in the enormous bed, looking almost like a child. He realized then how much he loved this woman. She was his soul mate, the one he pledged his love to. He regretted the way he treated her before he left. He loved the silhouette that she made in the sheets. He wanted nothing more than to soothe her and tell he was sorry. As he walked to her side of the bed and knelt beside her sleeping form, he could see the dried tear streaks on her face. That pained him but he couldn't show it. He had always kept a check on his emotions, never revealing how he felt to anyone. His feelings were his and his alone to know. That changed when he met Reagan. He could still remember when he first laid eyes on her in high school. She was a freshman and he was a senior. She walked in all bright eyed and innocent, like a fawn in new territory. He felt an immediate spark as he looked at her. He knew that she would be his no matter what. And it came true. They had dated intensely and then married shortly after he graduated college and got his job at the agency. He slowly reached out his hand to caress her cheek, reveling in how soft her skin was. Her eyes blinked open, startled at the touch. She was relieved that it was her husband. He continued to stroke her cheek and she sat up slightly to bury her face into his palm, glad to be getting this kind of sensual contact from him after being without it for so long. "Shhh...it's only me, sweetheart," he whispered, even though they were the only ones in the house. "Jace...I'm glad you made it home okay," she said softly, the sleepiness still hinting in her voice. Then there was a tense silence between them for long moments. Neither knew what to say to the other about what was going on with their relationship. They just stared into each other's eyes like they were trying to memorize every feature. It was Jace who broke the silence. "I'm sorry about earlier, baby. I shouldn't have treated you that way," he lamented." I want to make it up to you. I have been a bone head these last few weeks. Will you forgive me, sweetheart? I love you so much and I hate arguing with you." Reagan sat, mesmerized by his words. They were so tender she had to wonder if aliens had conquered the real Jace. The Jace she knew was not really emotional, never cried, and always kept his feeling to himself. She had accepted this a long time ago. Deep down she knew that was who he really was and she knew that he loved her. She decided that this was a nice change. "Jace, you know I forgive you. I hate arguing with you too. I hate the way things are between us," she said. She kept staring into his eyes and he knew she spoke the truth. He was relieved and smiled a big radiant smile that showed even in the darkness of the room. She giggled at how big his smile was. It was the adorable giggle that he loved and he leaned to kiss her. The kissed then turned into something more, the heat of it consuming them both. Reagan then broke the kiss only to rid her body of the night shirt. Jace sat back and watched in awe as images of his wife's beautiful figure filled his eyes. He stared at her like he had never seen her body before. He could feel his blood pumping to his penis in fierce arousal. All he could do stare at his beautiful wife. Her breasts were perfect and he could easily fit them perfectly into each of his hand. His gaze drifted down to her flat petite stomach that had the cutest belly button, to the beautiful slim hips and the beautiful skin that stretched over them, and the her legs that were creamy and smooth. He marveled at how delectable her skin looked in the moonlit darkness. He looked at the beautiful juncture between her smooth thighs. It was the most wonderful sight he had ever seen. He was then broken out of his trance by her soft voice. "Are you going to get undressed yourself or am I going to have to wait a little longer?" she breathed. Her arousal was fierce from his heated stare. She couldn't remember the last time he had ever looked at her like he was now. It was a mixture of desire and love. "You never have to wait long, love." And with that he set about getting undressed. He didn't take long to rid himself of his suit and join his wife on the bed. He laid himself on top of her using his elbows as props, taking great care not put his entire on her delicate frame. He brought his right hand to caress her face and leaned his face into kiss her mouth. He couldn't get enough of her lips. She returned his kiss with a fervent response, tasting his tongue with her. He moved his to her chin, then lower to her neck and breasts. He lightly suckled her nipples, bringing them to a hardened state. He could hear her moans of satisfaction and knew he was doing something she liked and knowing that spurred him on. As he moved further down her body, kissing and nipping as he went, she arched her body into him, inviting him to do more. When he reached the apex of her thighs, it was glistening with her fluid arousal. He wanted nothing more than to taste her. He leaned and blew lightly on her sensitive nub and she squirmed and moaned from the sensation. He dove in and starting licking her as though she were his last meal. "Ohhhh...Jace that feels so good...don't stop," she begged, her hips thrusting to meet his tongue. "Never baby," he groaned. He continued his delicious torture on her until she screamed her release with reckless abandon, her body thrashing as the sensation ripped it way through her tiny frame. He didn't give her time to recover from that orgasm though. He lifted himself until he reached her face and kissed her and at the same time he thrusted into her sensitive flesh. She moaned as he began thrusting into her softly at first, then harder and harder and he felt her reached her second orgasm. She was practically screaming with the pleasure that he was wringing from her body. "Ohhh... Reagan..." he chanted over and over as he felt the familiar tingle in his groin. He began to thrust harder as he felt his cum spurt out of him in thick strings into her waiting womb. He groaned his satisfaction as he felt his orgasm subside. He dropped his body on top hers, not minding if he was heavy. He was too sated to move. She lightly brought her hands to his head to cradle him there as his breathing came back to normal. "Jace...that was amazing. I haven't felt like that in a long time." "I do aim to please, love," he said lovingly as he moved off of her and rolled to lie beside her. He grabbed her and brought her body to close to his. She snuggled closer into his warmth as he held her. He was enjoying the quiet peace and was about to doze off until he heard her call his name softly. He grunted in reply. He listened sleepily to what she asked. The time was now or never she thought. He couldn't believe what he heard. He practically jumped up from his position to turn to her. "What did you say, Reagan?" Jace asked, his tone hinting at surprise and slight annoyance that this subject was coming up so early in their marriage. He didn't really want to talk about it this soon. "I asked what you think about having children..." She said softly. She sensed that he was a little taken aback by what she asked. "I really haven't thought much about it. I assumed we would wait until I was more secured into my job." She scoffed when he mentioned his job. She was just on a wave of bliss until he ruined it by mentioning that damn job. She sat up to face him. "I think I want a baby Jace. What's so wrong with that?" "Well I don't. I don't think I want a baby right now. I'm not ready. So that is the end of this discussion." He stated in a tone that broached no argument and his face was stony and hard. She could even see it in the darkness. Again in another sign of further dismissal, he got up from the bed and went into the bathroom closing the door loudly behind him. She sat there silently in the dark, reeling from his dismissal on a subject that she thought was so important. She couldn't figure out what hurt worse: his easy dismissal on the baby subject or the way he abruptly up and left her there with no regard to how she felt. She lay back down and turned her back to the bathroom door not wanting to see his face whenever he decided to come back out. She couldn't stop the tears from coming. Her body shook with the sobs coming out of her. How can he be so cold about it? I married a fucking prick!!! She thought. How could he be so detached from her after the love they just shared with each other? Another 20 minutes passed before she heard him exit the bathroom and walk to the bedroom door. "I'm going to the study to finish some work," Jace said evenly. "You will forget this baby business." It was not a suggestion, it was a command. Before she could sit up to say something, he opened the door and closed it without another word. She sat there staring at the door, dazed that he could be so detached and cold. She lay back down again, emotions running high from her disappointment. She closed her eyes again, this time wishing sleep would come and never to wake up to another nightmare. She got her wish. She drifted into another dreamless sleep. Alone. Yet again. Please Love Me Ch. 03 The next morning, Reagan woke up still feeling hurt from how Jace dismissed her on the baby subject. She sat in bed for the next half hour, just staring out of the window, wondering how she was going to face Jace today. What am I going to say to him? I very well can't talk to His Prick-ness about a baby after last night. Maybe I should just leave it alone. She laughed at the name she came up with for him. But the laughter didn't last long. The baby discussion kept rearing its ugly head in her mind. Thinking about it, she felt a pull in her heart. It hurt her to the core to feel so defeated about this. She sighed and strengthened her resolve to get out of bed a face the world and push this disappointment to the back of her mind. She couldn't let this get her down. She should just go back to her earlier resolve; if he didn't care, well then neither would she. But that was easier said than done. As she rose out of bed, and went into the bathroom, she couldn't help but gaze at her reflection in the bathroom mirror. She was startled by what she saw. Her appearance seemed to have aged overnight. Her beautiful tanned skin lost it glow and she had bags under her eyes. She wished those bags were big enough to pack herself away in. All she could do was turn away and step into the shower and hope that the hot water could wash away some of her tension. After the shower, she made her way to the kitchen, dreading that Jace would be in there. That thought made her steps get heavier and harder to make. For once she wished that he was at the office so she wouldn't have to face him. All her fears were justified; there he was sitting at the table eating a breakfast of bacon, eggs, and toast with a glass of orange juice. He looked up from his plate and saw her enter. "Good morning, love" he said. Last night seemed to not quell his mood. He said it in a tone that seemed to not remember how harsh he was. He gazed at her intently, waiting for her reply. "Hey" was all she could muster. All of last night's emotions came rushing back. She had to turn away to keep from looking in his eyes. She didn't want him to see her cry about it. After a few minutes and fixing her composure, she turned around and went about fixing her own breakfast. Anything to keep from looking him in the eye. When she was through, she got her plate and stood at the counter to eat. He was still staring at her intensely. "Come sit down next to me." "I'm fine. I need to hurry and eat any way. I need to clean the house and run some errands today," she lied. She just didn't want to be around him and she hoped he did have to go to the office. "But I still want you to sit next to me." "Okay." She conceded. If it would get him out of here quicker, then so be it. "Next weekend is the office's annual get together. I need to make a good impression on the on the other senior consultants. It could be just what I need to get on the fast track. I need you looking spectacular." She couldn't believe what she just heard. He was so dismissive to her about something that she that was important but he could turn around and ask something of her? He had balls the size of melons to ask that. She should just dismiss him like he had done her and see how he felt about it. If he could just feel the way she felt when he dismissed her maybe he could understand. He is a total prick. While she sat toying with that idea, Jace just kept staring, at her waiting on her to reply. "Reagan...Reagan," he called. It seemed she was ignoring him. "REAGAN!" "What?" She sat there innocently as if she didn't ignore him. She didn't intentionally but she didn't want him to know that. "Why are you ignoring me?" The tone in his voice was hard border lining with annoyance. "I wasn't ignoring you. What is it?" "I said that next weekend is the annual office's get together. This is important for my career and I need you to look spectacular." "Okay." She tried to say it as nonchalantly as possible to hide her anger about his complete prick-ness. "Is that all you have to say about it?" She got up and started clearing the dishes from the table and headed towards the sink without answering his question. While her back was turned to him, she started to formulate how she would answer him. Maybe a dismissal was in order for him. "I said okay. I will do what I can. I'm sorry if it isn't anything new that you want me to say so that is as much as I can answer. Look, I got to really gets started on these errands or I will be really behind. Sorry babe. Love you." With that she walked briskly over to him and gave him a small kiss on the cheek and walked from the kitchen before he could respond. She hoped he got the message. ================== Jace sat there for the next half hour contemplating what Reagan had said to him. Did she just tell me off? Wow, I didn't know it was like that. Whatever, damn woman. With that, he pushed it to the back of his mind and didn't give it a second thought. He got up and left for the office. When he arrived, Kyle was waiting at his office door. Kyle Jennings had been Jace's assistant for almost a year. He came with exceptional references. He was a numbers genius just trying to get his foot in the door and working for another numbers genius like Jace Stanton was just the opportunity he needed. He was a genius in college and grad school but his physical appearance said JOCK. He was tall and muscular like Jace, but he had a sensitive side to him that made women swoon. But he couldn't find the perfect one. But he was having fun trying. "Good morning Jace." Kyle said reaching out to shake his hand. "Good morning Kyle, what's on the agenda today?" "Well, the numbers came in for the Hardison deal. The higher-ups are very impressed." He handed Jace the papers to look over while they walked into the office and took their seats. "Well...looks like we have struck gold. Cha-Ching!!!!" He said, raising his fist and bringing it back down again. He was feeling great. That feeling was short- lived as his mind ran back to the situation with Reagan. Kyle immediately saw the change in Jace. "What's wrong Jace? Worried about completing the deal?" Kyle joked, knowing that Jace could do his job without breaking a sweat. It was his way of trying to get him to open up and relax. "It's things at home. My wife wants to start having kids. She came to me with some nonsense about starting a family. Do I look like I need to think about a baby right now?" Jace's tone reeked of disdain about a baby. The thought of a baby irked him to no end. He cringed at the thought of early morning feedings, shitty diapers, and daycare. He visibly shook himself to emphasize his disgust. "Well, I have always been fond of the little rug rats, even though they can cause trouble."Kyle smirked, thinking about his future children. "Well, you can have them. I don't need them right now." Jace said. "Touchy, aren't we? Did you talk to your wife about it?" Jace rolled his eyes heavenward. "I put my foot down about it. I don't want to talk kids or even think about them. She should understand what I'm saying. If she isn't complaining about kids she's complaining about me not being home and spending time with her. I have to work to make a living." He sat back in his expensive chair and leaned his head into his hand. "Okay. Well it seems to me that she just wants you around. Can you blame a wife for wanting her husband to be around sometimes? I mean, you guys are married. It is natural for a married couple to start thinking about children." "I know, Kyle. But I'm not ready. So that's it." "Well to me she isn't asking much." "Well, when you get married, you can have all the children you want. We need to get to work. I've got to step into the boss's office to talk to him for a minute. I'll be back" Jace said, getting up and moving to the door. "Okay. I will be here."Kyle sat back and thought about what Jace said. The man had serious issues. Kyle didn't know what to think about it. He always thought Jace would have been happy to have a baby. This is getting too personal for me Kyle thought. As Kyle was looking around the office, he spied a picture that he had never really noticed before. With all the work that had to be done, he never got to actually look at Jace's office. As he got up to cross the room to take a better look, the face in the photo came into a clearer view. When he reached the photo, he saw the most beautiful face he had ever seen. And he had seen some. Her features were beautiful and her skin looked baby smooth even in the picture. He stood and admired the beauty in the picture for what felt like a long while. He was entranced. He couldn't move away. He didn't even hear Jace come back into the room. "Hey man, what are you looking at?" Jace said, coming to see what had his assistant's attention. "Who is this in the photo? She kind of looks like you a little." Kyle said, never taking his eyes off the picture. "No, we aren't related. That's my wife Reagan. She's the one giving me issues." Jace said walking back to his seat. "Will she be at the annual get together? I would to like meet her." Kyle tried to keep the anticipation out of his voice. Here he was, lusting after his boss's wife. He was in serious trouble. "Oh...that's right. You haven't met her yet. Yes she will be there." Jace turned back to his work on his desk. Kyle took one more look at the picture and sighed to himself. How could he not want to have children with this beautiful woman? It should be considered a sin not to stay buried between her thighs, giving her all the cum he had in him to give. Yep, the man had serious issues. If it were Kyle, he wouldn't let her move within two inches of him without trying to make love to her. She looked like she should be cuddled and loved on constantly. But that wasn't his place. She didn't belong to him. For the first time, he was angry with Jace for having this beautiful creature and to be neglecting her like he does. Kyle pushed these thoughts far from his mind and walked back to the desk to get back to work. But it wouldn't be easy. === On the other side of town... Reagan pulled into the parking lot in front of the boutique and shut off her car. Things this morning were really awkward. This was like some sick and twisted game that the universe is playing and she was up against her biggest opponent-her husband. She had always believed that they had the perfect marriage out of all her friends and she couldn't figure how and where her entire relationship had gone wrong. She just couldn't take walking into the house and having another argument with Jace again. She would sure as shit lose her mind and she desperately needed to keep her sanity right now. She just could understand why he didn't want a baby. They were at the perfect stage in their lives. They were young and healthy, had a great life, and the resources to take care of an infant. Their infant. She sighed at that thought and almost gave up on the idea of a baby. Maybe Jace didn't desire a baby with her. Maybe she wasn't sexy enough and he didn't want any children that would look like her. Maybe he regrets marrying me and wishes for another woman... she thought sadly. She sat there for a few more moment wallowing in her self-pity when it dawned in her-the problem wasn't her it was him!! She was a damn good woman and she knew it. He just didn't know what a real diamond was. Whether he knew it or not she was damn sexy and most of the men that she had seen staring at her appreciatively whenever she went to the grocery store or the mall. All those men wanted her but she stayed true to him no matter what. She had been real, warm, loving, and honest with him from the moment they met and he was taking her for granted. That bullshit was coming to an end though. But that was okay, if he didn't appreciate her, she would surely find someone else who would treat her like the good woman she was. With this annual office get together coming, she knew she would need an outfit to remind him of what he had. With that in mind, she gathered her composure and got out of the car with a mission in mind: get him back. She entered the boutique and looked around; spotting all types of dresses that looked amazing. "Hello, how may I help you this afternoon?" said the saleswomen from behind the counter. With a mischievous grin and sparkle in her eye Reagan said "I want something sexy but not slutty for an office party that I have to attend. I trust that you have what I need?" The sales lady caught that look and replied "Certainly ma'am. Right this way."
