I did) They were friends first, not the best of friends but happy to be in each others company. They knew each other only in groups of other people and both assumed that the other was unavailable because of office rumors. They had an unusual job and that they both loved and so they had always had something to talk about. But, they had never scratched the surface of what else could happen between them. David woke up one morning interrupting a dream. He was disappointed and lay in bed imagining how he wanted it to end. Had the girl in his dream really been Shasta? If he thought falling asleep again would allow him the reality of finishing the dream he would have rolled right over and taken any consequence for being late for work. Shasta also awoke interrupting a dream. The dream was so real, and she quickly rose from her bed to shake off the dream and didn't want to dwell on it in case dwelling on it would keep it in her mind. Despite her quick movements in the shower the fear returned and she saw the faces in the dream. It wasn't just one face but one body and the faces changed through out the dream, and the only face she recognized was David's. She had been scared by the other faces, she was running from them, but then the same being was beside her with David's face. Was it really David? They both arrived early neither forgetting their eerie dreams. David saw Shasta first and shook his head as he watched her in a new light. The images of his dream filled his mind and he saw Shasta on his lap teasing him not with words but with the touch of her finger tip. Shasta checked her mail box and his eyes were glued on her as he imagined what she had done next, he almost groaned when he remembered her turning her body so she was still on his lap but now facing him. In real life he would have either taken her body in his hands or questioned what she was doing, but in the dream he didn't do either he let her move as she wanted, and touch him as she wanted neither helping nor hindering. He watched her as she moved, she wasn't even wearing tight clothes or drawing attention like he was sure she could, but still he was captivated. He remembered the kiss especially when she put the pen in her lips thinking of what to write. The kiss was so real he lifted his hands to his lips wanting the pressure to be real. He looked at her viewing her now for the possibilities instead of just as his co-worker. In the dream she had kissed so deeply and started on the buttons on his shirt, even reached down to rub his cock outside his pants. He had received a taste of what being with her would be like, and then she had stood up, Thinking she would move to the next step, he didn't stop her but instead she had walked backwards with a look of longing for him in her eyes. Shasta was now finishing up her work at the front office and as he had walked away from him in the dream, she now walked towards him in real life. He realized that his pulse had risen in reliving the dream and was feeling his body longing for her, or at least longing for what he imagined her to be. He sighed, indeed it was only a dream. She had received a larger pile of mail then usual and almost sighed with relief that work would provide the distraction she needed. She certainly didn't want to sit at home filled with the lonely feelings that waking up from a confusing dream always brought to her. She was lost in thought about the urgent memo from her boss. In her team room she'd be able to sit and think about the problem and later in the day with her teammates come up with a solution. She smiled to herself and had completely forgotten the dream when she looked up and saw David standing across the office. Was he watching her or did it just happen that they looked at each other at the same moment? Her smile vanished as the memories of her dream flashes through her mind clearly, she had stopped at a red light in her car, the road in front of her turned into a jungle path and she couldn't drive when the light turned green so she got out and was going to walk home, but a man was behind her and she looked at him and instinctively knew she should run. She ran straight ahead, then a different face on the same body was in front of her and she again knew she should run. It was so real, even now that she had to remind herself that it wasn't. David was now walking towards her. She felt she couldn't talk to him for fear it would reinforce the vivid dream in her memory. She pretended she had forgotten something at the table, turned and picked up a form she didn't need and kept walking the other way. In her dream she had also turned the other way, off of the path into the darkness, not seeing but sensing where to go. Knowing there was trees everywhere but she never ran into one. She walked quickly through the jungle, and felt herself pick up her speed, as she walked down the hall only thinking that she couldn't talk to David. She had come to a stream which turned into a river in front of her, she felt fear from being caught by her pursuers. She jumped as a body appeared in front of her, it was the same body, with David's face and she hadn't been afraid and trusted him explicitly as he silently rowed a raft with her on it across the river without a word. He pointed the way to her left and she followed without turning around or thanking him. Even as she left she felt pursued again and saw the same body with a different face, a face that she was sure meant her harm and she was running now. Her pulse was racing in real life now, not understanding the dream, she chose the stairwell instead of the elevator, taking the steps three at a time. She had followed the path David had pointed out and she saw a light ahead and it was a wooden house with a wide porch which lifted off the ground after she stood on it and she knew she was safe. She forced herself to stop as she reached her the door that entered her floor. She needed to control herself. It was only a dream. David was surprised that Shasta hadn't given her usual casual greeting. Had she sensed his stare, he didn't think so. Why had she turned away? It was probably better since he might do something he'd regret later when the spell of the dream wore off. He checked his mail and consiously picked the same pen she had used, to write his own notes. He received a confusing note from his boss that would take some thought to know how to handle this new problem. He needed a clear mind for the task and forced his thoughts and body to cool down. She had a desk in their large team room. Her desk was covered with family photos but she knew it was different from many other desk because the pictures were obviously her parents and brothers and sisters not her own children and husband. She thought of the moment of feeling of safety that she had felt with David in her dream and thought of the safety she felt with family. It was time for a phone call to Mom and brothers and sister and nephews and nieces again to remind herself of the safety. Thinking of David she turned and wasn't surprised to see that he wasn't at his desk across the room yet. Maybe she could be involved in work before he came in and would be able to put thought of the dream and David aside. He walked into their team room quickly scanning it as usual, this time adding another target. He knew where her desk was and was surprised to see her already there standing at her desk getting ready for work. How had she gotten there so quickly? He remembered seeing a picture on her desk once when talking to the co-worker at the desk next to hers and assumed it was her family together when she was a child, and that the cute girl in pigtails was her. Maybe he could go over and talk to her now and ask her about the picture. He watched her survey the room and seem grateful for the quiet morning time, and decided against it, he also needed the quiet time. Her day was free except for research except for the regularly scheduled team meeting at 12:30pm. She have the morning to do research on her angle of the problem and use her creativity to come up with as many solutions as possible to present at the meeting. The problem was unusual and she was wondering how their clients could afford them. On his desk his picture of his parents was in a silver frame. His piles on his desk that he had hurriedly left on his desk before leaving on his last assingmnet seemed to take forever to organize It was late by the time he sorted his daily mail. He left the letter from his boss for last. The problem was new and interesting, and he didn't know where to begin. They were allowed to talk to other team members as long as they kept open minds and didn't come to a decision about the correct choice of action before the team meeting. The more he thought about it he realized didn't have much time to get any new information and his knowledge on the subject was limited. His leads were limited and didn't get him far. By the time lunch came he was frustrated and behind her into reality. She had quite a bit of background on the problem she was being asked to work and didn't know what else to do. He knew he wasn't going to get any farther and decided a lunch break would be what he needed and almost instantaneously remembered his dream and the object of his desire. He turned pretending to stretch and looked around for Shasta. He wasn't disappointed and saw her happily at work talking on the phone with a big grin on her face. He longed to go see what she was happy about. Her morning hadn't proved to be the disaster she's thought it would be after the dream startling on. Each of her phone calls had lead to more information and her desk was starting to get messy with her piles of papers and her trips to the fax machine, and printer and books brought from the nearby college library. It was getting close to lunch and she wondered what other team members were assigned the same problem as she was. She hung up the phone and was going to check if her email had been answered when her thoughts turned to David and she smiled and hoped he would be on the team. She thought about her dream and was now able to filter the scary unreality out of the reality of her day. And for the first time she wondered why David had been in her dream and why it was with him she had felt safe. Maybe it was time for lunch and time to think about this logically. She stood and stretched - turning around she was almost surprised to see the room full and bustling instead of empty as it had been when she started work as she had been in her own world working for the whole morning. Her eyes scanned to David's seat and she saw his desk was empty and she was about to turn around when she saw he had just been reaching down for his wallet which had fallen on the floor. He picked his wallet up and stood up and looked straight at her desk and their eyes meet. She smiled, grateful this time she hadn't met his eyes with the scared look that must have greeted him this morning, and looked away. He was trying to decide if he could invite Shasta out to lunch and how to do it when he fumbled with his wallet and it fell on the floor. He had decided not to approach her today and when he stood up and looked for her again surprised to see her looking at him. He smiled, assuming he'd receive the frightened look like he had this morning but instead she smiled and he immediately changed his mind about lunch , not knowing what he'd say to her but knowing he wanted to hear her voice. Someone was walking by her desk so she took that opportunity to look away from David so he wouldn't think she was staring, which she had been. She turned to her desk deciding what to do for lunch when she noticed she had a new email. The email provided more information and she quickly dismissed the idea of a long, relaxing lunch. She couldn't resist turning once more to sneak a peak at David. And enjoyed watching him walk across the room talking to Mitchel another team member. She turned back to her desk with the same safe feeling she had in her dream. David walked to Shasta's desk noticing right away the picture he wanted to ask her about. Her desk was in her usual disarray as the papers and books seemed incoherently tossed into piles. Shasta didn't hear him approach as he talked to his friend asking him to lunch so he could casually invited Shasta too without he feeling pressure. He knew she felt comfortable with his friend Mitchell and approached his desk hoping to appear casual. She seemed surprised when he called her name and kept her finger on her spot where she was reading. They both greeted each other casually, and Shasta greeted Mitchell. "We were wondering if you'd like to join us for lunch?" asked David wishing he hadn't talked so fast. Shasta was surprised but responded honestly that she thought she'd just eat and work at her desk to finish her ideas. Neither Mitchell nor David were surprised to hear her discuss her ideas as she always had many creative ideas. David was disappointed but quickly asked if they could pick her up something, to which she agreed. She surprised him again by asking for his favorite sandwich from a sandwich shop they were going to frequent for lunch. By the time he returned from lunch he was highly distracted again by thoughts of her and was scheming ways to talk to her. Shasta's curiosity grew as she thought about her dream and how it seemed to correspond with several intimate moments with him in the same day. Had he watched her like that before and she just hadn't noticed, she didn't think so. She wished now that she had agreed to lunch, and spent the time half reading and half thinking how to draw him into a conversation and even more into her life. He returned with her sandwich and a selection of drinks to choose from. She wanted to ask David and Mitchell to join her but how could she justify that as it defeated the reason for a working lunch, so she didn't but did try to make clear eye contact with him as she thank him and she paid him back. David surprised her by looking past the mess that was on her desk that people usually criticized and noticed her family picture on her desk. The one when she was a child, her parents without grey hair, her twin brother and sister still babies. The one that made her wish she was still beautiful even though she was older. He guessed correctly that it was her family and she smiled largely when he commented that she was terribly cute in the picture. He even asked to pick it up and asked who the other in the picture were. She was flattered and and surprised, and her curiosity grew. David walked away from her desk after giving Shasta her food. He had made her smile, not because of a joke but because of the obvious way she lit up when he asked about her family and the cute girl in the picture. He had noticed the way she pulled her hair behind her ear, the way she smelled her sandwich savoring the smell, the way crossed her legs, the way she touched her lip while listening to him. Those same lips that had kissed him in his dream. He had a big smile and had to consiously remember that he had had lunch with Mitchell and should include him in the conversation. Shasta hoped she wouldn't be distracted by thoughts of David at the meeting. He probably wasn't even in the same discussion group. She ate her delicious sandwich which seemed to taste better today than usual and worked on her list of ideas for the project. She was ready for her meeting, she grabbed her notes and stopped in the ladies room to lift her skirt a bit higher and touch up her lip gloss just in case he was there. David grabbed his folder of papers, but without much information to go on he put extra unrelated papers into his folder to give the appearance of readiness. He looked around and saw that Shasta was gone. She must not be in the same group as realized he'd been hoping she would be and was the first to arrive at the large round table in the center of the large room. The table was on a raised platform and had an overhead projector, white board, large easel with white paper, tape recorder, and enough pens and markers and colors to help with note taking. The platform had short walls around it to keep a degree of privacy if required which usually wasn't. But David chose his seat strategically so he could sit and watch Shasta's desk and hopefully Shasta, just in case she was there. When Shasta arrived at the conference table a group was gathered and she could choose between two seats. Before she probably would have chosen a seat away from the easel to not be chosen first, now she chose that seat because it was next to David. She knew it was the wrong choice and was sure she would be distracted the whole time when her hand brushed David's while reaching for what she assumed was her water bottle which was actually David's. She needed to focus. David's couldn't believe so much could change in a day. Yesterday his loneliness was making him wonder why he broke up with his last girlfriend even though he could list the hundred reasons. Today he was making a list of qualities he was seeing with new eyes in his friend Shasta. Even now she was walking towards him even sitting next to him. When their hands brushed reaching for the water bottle his mind immediately reminded him of how she felt sitting on his lap. He needed to focus. Everyone was grateful for the boss to explain more details about their job and how the strange project had come about. Kristal explained without interuption, "While you are normally a team of qualified mentors using your talents to help companies in trouble, this project is unusual and I will tell you up front although you will get paid, there will not be any extra bonus at the end even if the job is successful. There is another project starting up any day and if you would like to consider that project and be released from this one you may. I will only expect a skeletong staff and am willing to put in the extra hours myself to see that it works. You have been chosen because of your different talents and I'm hoping at least some of you will stay to see this succeed. I only discovered this through a personal friend and have even offered our service for free. The company is covering any costs that need to be handled but don't expect any extras. We would like the whole group here for todays brainstorming session but Bill will explain some details of the other project and if that seems more appealing to you after todays meeting we will have you transferred to that team." Shasta was renewed in her interest for the program now that she understood this. It fit her more than other projects had although she had enjoyed them and she only half listened to Bill explain the other project. She organized on her table her pile of notes. She didn't know what she would need and so just put her list of ideas on the top of the pile. David listened to Bill hoping that it wouldn't be something Shasta would choose. David wanted to stay with the project and thought Shasta would too after watching her enthusiasm that very morning. But after just sitting next to Shasta and feeling her touch he knew if she switched he would be very tempted to also. Kristal took a show of hands for those that would switch, and David sighed out loud when he saw the Shasta didn't raise her hand. David now wondered when the team realized his lack of expertise and ideas whether they would even want him on the team. As Shasta saw the hands go up she saw Kristal's face give away her discouragement as she realized the group would be small and thus reaquire more hours for her. If you could have know her thoughts you would know that Shasta's smile gave away her encouragement to see that David did not raise his hand, and she turned and smiled at him. She enjoyed the smaller teams, and was ready to jump in. It Started with Two Dreams Kristal explained the scenario that had only been sketched for them in their morning memos. There was a school in their city with a bad reputation and poor leadership. The list was the same as you hear for most inner city schools: high turn over of teachers, low attendance, high rate of problems, low scores on standardized tests. She went on to explain, "This was unusual though and they were being called in because of a recent fire in the school building burning both their library and computer lab and some classrooms resulting in high financial loss as well as cutting out important functions of the everyday running of the school. The company is donated money to cover costs for purchasing everything that is needed but your job is to spend the money as wisely as possible, see that it is put into place and can function without your help, and justify all expenditures." David understood his role better now, and saw that he had been pulled in for his expertise in computers and networking. That angle would be easy for him. Making them child centered would be a new challenge. Shasta also understood her role better. With her degree in elementary education this would allow her to be in a school again making a difference with children. She had left teaching after only 5 years feeling that she was leaving her life's calling but so disillusioned that she had trouble facing work day after day. She had also needed more money than teaching provided to allow her to give money to her mother after her father died. Kristal then let the discussion begin, handling questions first and then moving into a brainstorming session with ideas coming out, writing down all ideas. David was quiet and nobody noticed that he was mostly listening. Shasta mentioned some of her ideas ranging from getting some workers at the school full time to build relationships and supervise clean up to providing a list of book titles on the topic which could provide lacking expertise. The room was a buzz and as the ideas stopped flowing, Krystal discussed the practicality of ideas and ideas were crossed off the board and other ideas were discussed more in depth. Kristal agreed that part of the team should be on hand to manage the inner workings from the site, and quickly chose David and Shasta for their expertise. She asked the members of the group that wouldn't be part of the team to leave and thanked them for their time. Seven remained, and she wanted them to meet first thing the next morning for a meeting to choose a direction. She also reminded them that they were invited to their traditional opening night dinner if they didn't already have plans, meeting early they could gather at the parking garage to leave. David was astounded and excited. He couldn't have planned it better himself. It would be a perfect way to get to know Shasta without committing too far or even asking her out on a date. As curious as he was he also didn't want to committ to anything even though his body seemed ready to. Shasta stared at Kristal even after she had stoppe talking as the impact of her words sunk in. This man whom she was just starting to notice was going to be her partner for the next two months. It made logical sense that she would pair them togther but the timing was just to strange as she considered her thinking about ways to get to know David better. Was it all coincidence? She rememberd the man of whom she was thinking was sitting beside her and she turned to him. They're eyes meet as they had twice earlier that day with expectancy, he was smiling, and she followed suit. She was starting to make a fool of herself over this good looking guy that sh knew was out of her reach. She needed to protect her feelings but she wasn't doing such a great job. She reached out her hand and said "Howdy Partner," and when he responded in turn she didn't think he was reading her lustful thoughts that grew as she felt his firm handshake and wondered what he'd do if she took his hand and put it on her leg. He looked really good today. She grabbed her papers hurriedly and turned to leave the table. David thoughts told him two things. The first was to take her hand and kiss it, then to kiss it again. Then to kiss her wrist and to keep kissing up her arm and not stop till he reached those lips. Those lips he dreamed about just hours ago. The second thought was to just play it cool and keep letting fate work. It had done better than he could have worked with anything he could try to far today. He would let it work, and just watched her body move as she left the table. He pretended to work until time to meet for dinner. To keep his hands busy and away from touching himself, he typed up the story of his dream on his computer. She relaxed as she got to her desk and again let her mind shift to the dream, it scared her again and as she realized she wasn't going to forget it with David around she thought maybe typing it up in story form woould help her to see it as a story. She started writing about her arrival at the wooden house and the feeling of her rising with the house to a place of safety. She had run from a man who she sensed was dangerous. Maybe this project was going to hold some dangers and while it seemed exciting now she would want to run. She remembered her reasons for leaving teaching and her old fears, maybe they weren't so old. David had given her the route to safety and she wrote how the safety had enfolded her. Maybe he was going to hold the key to making this project work even though she was the one with more expertise. But the feeling was more than just hi providing the route to safety, he had also provided her with safety in his presence. She wrote her last sentence realizing that if she let her budding feelings grow for David she wouldn't be safe. It was past time to leave she hoped she wasn't late. David would rather have gone home to imagine being with Shasta then spend the evening without her in a group of people, and waited for her with the others. Two others had left in another vehicle to reserve the larger table that would be needed. They climbed in and Shasta walked up as they were closing the door and she took the last empty seat next to him. With fate working for him through out the day he was sure it would again put them together but as they sat at their favorite table at a restaurant/bar across town. She was as far from him as anyone could be and still be at the same table. Kristal was wise and knew that this relaxed time together as a team would help bind them for the rest of the project when they'd need to work well together. The evening was comfortable and they all talked and enjoyed the evening. He thought he could single her out and ask her to play pool , and just as he decided to ask she stood and went with a friend to the bar and order more drinks. She not only ordered drinks but got caught up in a conversation with her friend and another man at the bar, they were gone for a long time. He kept glancing over to see when she would return. He realized that maybe Shasta was out of his league. She probably got all the attention she needed and more and why should she even think of him that way. He was discouraged but excited about the project. Shasta knew that after her lustful thoughts for David she'd have to stay away from him in this social occasion. Work she could handle, but seeing him look so good in his buttoned green shirt in a casual setting like this would make her want more from him and it was better to stay far away. She was glad to go to the bar when her friend wanted to chat personally, and when she saw David's eyes follow them, she knew it was just because of her friend, and so she enjoyed her evening despite wanting to watch David. Back at the table it wasn't long until Kristal stood up and announced that anyone who wanted to stay longer would need to get their own ride back to work. The other friend who had ridden with Kristal over to the restaurant offered to ride back with us so Kristal could drive home and not stop at work. They slowly gathered at the door and as they walked to the van she was surprised David talked to her. David and Shasta were among the last to reach the van and the others had already realized there was one seat short. The others had piled in so driver decided that Shasta could sit on David's lap for the ride. She blushed and said that wasn't such a great idea, but David insisted that it was ok. She tried to sit down gracefully but it wasn't possible. The driver joked that since Shasta didn't have a seat belt, David would need to put his arms around her to hold onto her. She was sitting sideways on his lap, and felt his arms wrap around her waist. She tried to get comfortable and didn't know what to do with her hands. They were so close to each other, she felt his breath on her skin. She relaxed when the conversation turned away from them, and she lifted her hand and put it around his shoulder, brushing his skin on his neck with her fingers. She started enjoying the feeling of his arms around her waist. His dream had come true literally. She was sitting on his lap. His arms were around here. He could smell some light perfume. He knew even if it ended here it would be a special day that had surpassed his expectations. Her arm was around his shoulder and her thumb was moving against his shoulder. He desire for her was growing and he pulled her closer. He took one of his hands and placed it on top of her hand that was laying on her leg. He hoped he could blame it on the alcohol if she asked him about his reaction later but he wanted to touch her skin even if it wasn't in the intimate places that his imagination was running to. She didn't push away his hand instead looked at him and said she was tired and would he mind if she laid her head on his shoulder. He quickly allowed her, but then realized she might feel or even hear the increased rate of his heart. She was starting to get swept up in the moment and the emotion that she was holding onto from her dream. This was the safety she felt in her dream, what she was feeling now in his arms. She was sure he held the same power to hurt her but she didn't think on it and sighed deeply enjoying the moment. She yawned trying to make a show of her tiredness so he wouldn't think it abnormal for her to ask to lean on him. Her own heart rate increasing. He thought she had probably fallen asleep against him, he could feel her breathing had slowed and hoped she wouldn't remember if he stroked her back slowly feeling his own desire growing. She shifted and it felt as if she were cuddling into him like she would a pillow. Her movement moved her against his own growing heat and he let out a small sigh. He wished he could watch her sleep. If he could see her face he would probably be shocked to see this big smile on Shasta's face. Her mind alert hearing that sigh, was she really having an effect on him. She decided to try shifting again this time more purposefully. Did she feel an erection below her? She almost let out a giggle. Did she dare to do what her lust was telling her to do? She moved ever so slowly to still appear asleep. She moved so her arm was no longer supporting her head on his shoulder but now sliding behind his back. She had a choice now to drop it there and appear to be comfortable or to awaken more sensations in both of them then she had felt in a long time. She felt almost as if she should ask permission, but she went ahead realizing she was holding her breath. She felt his back rubbing lightly, waiting for his to stiffen and push her away, but he didn't, so she reached lower slowly pulling his shirt out of his pants giving room for her warm fingers to slip under the shirt and brush his skin. They turned a corner on the road and as she slid against him to get comfortable again she could feel that her pussy was quite wet. David kept up some small talk with others in the van for a while. But when he thought Shasta fell asleep, he signalled to the others to keep it down and they kept talking in the background. Then she started moving against him, then she was stroking his shirt, then she was stroking his skin in front of all these people. In the middle of a van full of people. He had know she was smart, and creative, and a friend, but now he knew she was all those things plus sexy, passionate and daring. His hand moved on hers so his thumb was underneath and he could rub her hand without others seeing. He tried to speak in a volume that no one else would hear hoping his words would not scare her away, "So hot." He looked out the window and could tell they were almost back to work. He needed to give her a signal that he wanted her later that night. that she could choose to follow through on if she wanted to. He thought she'd want to when he felt her slide her hand out from under his and put hers on top and direct it to her leg. She now started to recognize mutual pleasure when she heard him whisper to her. It was bold but she was sure no one but her had heard. Was it possible she was giving pleasure to this good looking man whom she had assumed from his many friends would have many dates. Well maybe any guy would get turned on and could want her for one night, even David. Should she trust her dream or her instincts. While contemplating that she heard him whisper, "We're almost there, if you give me your cell phone I'll program my number in and you can reach me any time." She sat up and stretched and yawned as if just waking up. She didn't dare look into his face for fear she'd lean over and kiss him. The spell was broken for the moment and the others noticed she was awake and they teased her. She got her cell phone out and entered his name, and handed it to him for his number. She'd have to decide quickly what to do. They arrived at the parking garage. He gracefully lifted her out of the van carrying and then steadying her as she stood. His questioning eyes looked at her. As the others were also exiting the van she thanked David loudly and whispered, "Let's talk". She turned and walked in the direction of her vehicle. David's erection had lessened when she had 'awoken' and when the bright lights of the parking garage filled the van. They came to a stop and he finished punching in his phone number. He lifted her out and wanted to carry her home but gently placed her down still holding onto her casually. He had made his move now it was time for hers, if she was going to make it. And if she did make a move could he handle the consequences. They were both tipsy and since they had to work together as lone partners for the next month would this really be the right situation. She was obviously ready for a night of passion but did he want just one night or did he want time to explore this relationship. He was sure her passion extended past what he'd tasted tonight and she was beautiful and a good friend to boot. He could loose all that plus any future if he gave in to impulses tonight. He didn't know what her words, "Let's talk," meant but as his mind cleared part of him wished for more time to get to know her before taking a chance on sex ruining a good friendship and working relationship. He watched her walk away and he got his cell phone out of his pocket and held it in his hand. She turned around and he lifted his cell phone in a wave. Shasta now regretted at least some of her boldness. He had obviously lifted his cell phone to her to show he was waiting for her call and he was surely expecting her to tell him where her car was parked so they could drive somewhere to continue what she had started. She wanted him, when she arrive to her car and no one was around she sat in her car, and lifted her skirt playing with herself, feeling a lot of wetness, stirring it up. She was already swollen and hot and just touching her skin made her moan. As her finger started working she knew David would be so much more fulfilling. More than that she knew she didn't want a one night stand with David. Maybe she could just not call? No, maybe she could just call and explain that she had a headache and was going home. She didn't think he would call her back. No, they needed to talk but maybe staying on cell phones would be better than seeing him in person. She would call him and just tell him how she was feeling and be honest. David sat in his car alone and very lonely. He had just gotten the biggest sexual rush after trying to hide it all day he couldn't any more. The longer he waited for the call the more it sank into his brain that maybe she wouldn't call. She had been tipsy and probably wasn't even aware of how turned on she made him, and maybe she flirted like this with all the guys she knew. She didn't have a flirtatious reputation at work so he'd be surprised if that was true. He was half glad he wouldn't have to ask her about the flirtation and confront the reality of what life would be like tomorrow. He realized the phone wasn't going to ring and knew he couldn't wait until he got home. He had unzipped when entering the car to relieve the pressure and laid his seat of his car back. Images of her flitted through his mind. The reality now so much clearer than the dream. He needed relief and just undoing his pants wouldn't do... slowly his pants wiggled down his hips. He stroked and rubbed himself imagining first her ass rubbing on him like she had, her stroking his back (oops, he'd forgotten to tuck in his shirt after getting out of the van, had anyone noticed?), her smooth leg, her waist, her smell. He was quickly to the point where he had been several times during the day and also quickly surpassed it. His hand pleasing himself but picturing only one woman who had brought him to the place of this pleasure. He wanted to get home and enjoy a longer session in the comfort of his bed or shower and so didn't slow his action and moaned Shasta's name as he grabbed a napkin and came in his car. It was long and pleased and he was surprised at his intensity. He was about to start his engine when the phone rang, he hesitantly picked it up knowing it would be Shasta and knowing that his head was clear enough now to be honest with her and not act on his lust. Shasta jumped into the conversation speaking fast , so fast he couldn't keep up. She explained that she was sorry for flirting with him. Well, he though, at least she had called, she had to give her credit for making a phone call just to say sorry when not calling would have blown him off as well and been just as easier for her. Shasta was almost on the verge of tears when she got through with her opology, surprising even herself how badly she wanted to be with David on this night. She was talking too fast and stopped and took a deep breath before continuing. David surprised her by responding, "I'm not sorry you did." Before he could say anything further she jumped into her practiced spiel. She was very attracted to David but didn't do one night stands and that's what this would be if they didn't really know each other and had to face each other at work the next day. She again spoke too quickly and repeated herself a couple times. She sighed and finished her teary speech by saying, "David, we haven't even been on a date and I don't even do that very often, I only gave in to my lust for you because of a dream I had, and I don't want you thinking I'm someone who can't resist calling you and is going to jump at the chance to be in your bed no matter how good looking you are." She had said it, all she had planned and plenty more. Now she was getting a headache. Oh, how would they ever work together for the next month? She'd have to ask to be tranferred off the team after this fool she made of herself. David listened shocked and when she started repeating her points, he started hearing the sadness in her voice as well. He thought she was brushing him off, but instead she was saying the same thing he had been thinking, not the way he would have said it, but he was pretty sure of her message. He would have to ask her later about what dream she had, but first he needed to clarify his view. And even now a plan was forming in his mind for what to he'd say after that. She stopped talking and he heard a sniffle. He waited a few more seconds to be sure she was really finished before saying, "Shasta, you have no idea how glad I am to hear you say that. You're words mirrored my thoughts exactly. While in the van driving you captivated me more than you already had throughout the day, and I acted on it also because of a dream. But there's no way I'd give up more of what we started today, for one night of fulfilling my lust and have you hate me tomorrow." He had hoped his words would have made her feel better but instead he heard her sniffles turn to crying while he spoke. He continued anyway, "It would have been hard to say that to your face because I want you beside me tonight in my bed because you are beautiful and sexy and I haven't been on a date in a long time, but more than that I want to ask you something." It Started with Two Dreams Shasta didn't want to have David hear her crying but wanted to hear his words so went ahead and cried because she couldn't stop. She was filled again with that feeling of safety that she had felt in her dream. She grabbed a tissue and was embarassed to ask him to wait a second while she quietly blew her nose and wiped her face. She returned to the phone and told him that she would answer his question honestly. His question was simple, "Will you go out on a date with me tomorrow night? We'll go to a public place and not talk about work, and I'll try to impress you so you'll agree to go out with me the next night and the next night." She cried again David was quite self consious and hadn't expected crying or tears on the end of the phone. But then nothing that happened today could have been expected, and now he was confused, afraid he had said the right thing. He started opologizing, saying he was sorry for whatever he did that made her cry. He ached to put his arms around her and comfort her. She collected herself and said, "I'm crying because that was the best thing you could have said, and I honestly answer that yes, I want to go out with you tomorrow night." He loved hearing that, he felt richer, and taller and better looking than he had before. Shasta spoke to him through the phone in a whisper, "There's only one thing I regret from this night." David could think of no disappointment from his day. It was fuller and more full of surprises, and he wouldn't have changed a moment of it, because of how it ended. He didn't respond and she continued hesitantly, "I wish I had felt your lips on mine." Shasta surprised herself as she said she wanted to feel his kiss, but it just felt they hadn't parted right and she needed to affirm that he was real. She didn't want to lead him on again, and go back to the place that they were at before though. He said, "As long as it's only a kiss and you won't tempt me beyond my endurance I'll permit it. " She giggled and David continued, "How about we both drive out, and we meet under the street light on the corner of the parking garage and our office road?" She knew the place and felt safety in him choosing a lighted place. She whispered, "See you soon!" and hung up her phone. She fixed her skirt and hair as much as she could in the dark. She beat him out to the corner but could see his lights behind her. She pulled over and opened her door, standing where the lights shone on her but she could still make a quick get away if necessary. She was self concious of how the tears had left her looking, and pulled down her skirt so as to not be a distraction, she wished for a mirror to fix her hair. His words had been honest and she watched him get out of the car and walk to her, thinking about his fine looking face that she would soon be kissing. She felt awkward having asked for it. He pulled his clothes back on, fixing what he could in the dark. He drove out to her quickly. She looked so beautiful to him. He had caused those tears and that confusion, and needed to make it up to her. He raised his watch to her before touching her, saying "I've set my alarm for 10 minutes and promise to leave when the alarm rings." She obviously took strength in that and ventured out of her car door towards him. He kissed her first under her eyes where her tear drops had been. She closed her eyes, so he then kissed her on her eye lids wanting to never cause her tears again. He raised his hands to her face cradling her chin. He asked her, "Am I just allowed one kiss?" She trusted his 10 min limit and was going to take advantage of the time and taste him fully for the first time. He didn't want him talking, and silenced his question with a kiss of her own on his lips. She lifted her arms to wrap around his neck to draw him close. She stood on her tiptoes to be closer to his height and it was the best kiss she had ever received. It was a kiss that spread down to her toes as he kissed her softly and the intensity increased. Never had 10 min swept by so quickly. They released their kiss, and they hugged. Knowing that they were both turned on and wanting each other but also know there were better things in store. He did what he promised he would. He walked away from her. The kiss had been better than the dream and better than his fantasies after the dream. After returning to his car and getting ready to drive he reached out and grabbed in the air and drew it to himself. He was grabbing a future which he hoped would include Shasta He had given up a night of passionate romance for a chance at making his spectacular dream a even more spectacular reality. From the taste of reality that he had today he knew it was going to be good and that he wasn't going to let it go. Not only had his day started with a dream but his new relationship now started with a dream as well. He would tell her how he had dreamed of her very soon. She was safe, safe in his arms, safe in the knowledge that they were building a future together, safe in the knowledge that he wouldn't hurt her purposefully, safe knowing that he would guide her down any scary paths she met in the future. She got in her car, waved at him as he pulled away. She reached out the window and grabbed the air grabbing and pulling to her she hugged herself with it, grabbing at the reality of the safety that encompassed her even though he was driving away from her on this night. For her it had started with a dream, and she would have to tell him of that dream very soon.
