Her uncle, Edmund Ashley, the man who had cared for her since her parents died in the wreck when she was ten, had suffered a massive stroke and passed on. She accepted the sentiments of those who turned out to pay tribute to the Earl, her eyes empty and hollow as she tried her best to be gracious. All she really wanted to do was curl up and cry. He was the last family she had left, as he had never married or had children of his own. The old castle that bore the Ashley family name would now be cold and empty without the sound of the Earl's deep laughter filling the air. She slumped back in the chair in the office, as she waited for his attorney to enter and read his will. Her uncle hated it when she exhibited poor posture and often chastised her in an attempt to have her become more of a lady. She was proper in many respects. At 25, she had lived at the castle while she attended University, not wanting to leave her uncle on his own. She exuded her mother's maternal instincts in that respect, becoming his caregiver, although he had many servants to cook and clean for him. Staying at the castle also helped to keep her out of trouble. She was curious about the parties that most students attended, and the sex and alcohol that accompanied them. But she kept her nose in her books earning a degree in business, and thus, her legs closed, leaving her virginity intact, a rarity for a girl her age. But, Elizabeth was also a believer in love-true love-the kind her parents had before their death. She remembered the way they looked at each other, as if they were the only people on Earth, and though her tough exterior would keep her from admitting it, she longed for that kind of connection. She had an intelligence that was unsurpassed, as well as a rebellious spirit. She recalled the time she took her mare, Hilda, out for the night, and told no one of her journey. She camped out and fished, and when she returned the next day, smelling of the day's catch and covered in dirt, her uncle just shook his head. That night they had enjoyed some of the fish she caught and as disappointed as he was in her failure to take up more feminine activities like weaving, he was impressed with her abilities to fish and survive in general. She cracked a smile at that memory, as a tear rolled down her cheek. The door opened and she quickly sat up straight and brushed it away. Mr. Abbey, the attorney walked in and shook her hand, again offering his condolences. Elizabeth nodded and asked him to be seated. Mr. Abbey opened his briefcase and pulled out a beige folder. He opened it and looked up with her, clasping his hands in front of him. He took a deep breath and began. "Elizabeth, your uncle loved you very much and always did his best to keep your best interests at heart. He considered you to be like his own daughter." She nodded, her eyes cast down at her feet. "He left you a letter here, which I think will clarify things a bit more after we've talked, but right now I have to inform you that you are not your uncle's heir." Her head shot up in surprise, "What do you mean sir, I am the only living Ashley?" "Well, yes that is true, but as you know, you uncle was very fond of genealogy and he discovered that there is another individual who is titled, and therefore, they have a rightful claim to your uncle's estate." Elizabeth just stared at Mr. Abbey, her mouth agape. "Well, who is it then, and if that's so, what about me, this is my home sir, I will not leave my home to some stranger," she said as she stood, her voice raised and cracking, trying to choke back the tears. "As I said, the letter will explain more. I will leave you to read it and return tomorrow after you have had time to process the arrangement and answer any questions you may have." He handed her the letter that was inside the pocket of the folder and bid her good day. She stood looking at the envelope, wondering what her uncle had done. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Figuring this situation could not get much worse; she ripped the envelope open and proceeded to read. My dearest Elizabeth, If you are reading this, then I have passed on. First of all, let me tell you how much of a joy the past fifteen years have been. I love you with all my heart and wish the best for you in life. That being said, I have some news that you will find shocking. In doing research on the family tree, I found out that my cousin, the Earl Chauncey had an illegitimate child with one of his mistresses that was given up for adoption. That child is the legal heir to Ashley castle and all my holdings. However, I want you to be taken care of and to be able to reside in the home that you love, so there is a provision to this contract. The two of you must marry and produce an heir within 15 months of your wedding date, otherwise the contract is null and void and neither of you will receive anything. I know you are asking yourself what I have done, but I truly believe you will be happy and this individual has character that will keep you in line and out of trouble. I only want for your happiness, so please make this work, and do not fail either of us. The individual who is titled and the heir to the Ashley name is Viscount Chase Barrett Chauncey. You may just know him as Chase Barrett. Please find the happiness I know you deserve. Love, Uncle Edmund A wave of nausea rushed through Elizabeth's body, as well as outrage, disgust, and hurt. She could not comprehend how her uncle could do this to her-to ask her to marry and have a child with a man she didn't know, a man she couldn't love. He knew her better than this, how could she ever find love this way? She had to find a way to refuse this situation. And the name he gave her-Chase Barrett. She only knew of one Chase Barrett-the American singer, the womanizing American singer who was always splattered all over the tabloids. How could her uncle even consider he would make a good husband? Shock and anger still coursed through her system. She ran from the room to try and grab Mr. Abbey, but he was already gone. She could not eat at dinner and sleep did not come much easier. She tossed and turned all night, tears poking their way from beneath her lids as she tried to figure out why her uncle would do this. The answers did not come and she would have to wait until the morn to rectify this. ^^^^^^^^^^^ "What do you mean there's no way around it, there has to be!" she yelled at Abbey. "I'm sorry, Elizabeth, but my hands are tied. This is a legal document, and the stipulations are as such. If you refuse, you will lose the castle and the fortune. I wish there was something I could do, but I cannot." She slumped back into the chair and rubbed her palms over her face. "Mr. Abbey, this is 2007, why would my uncle set me up to marry a man I have never met, and who is considered to be the playboy of the Western world? This guy has money anyway, he doesn't need my uncle's. How am I even going to get a hold of him? I can't marry him, I just can't do it. I want to marry for love, not for convenience." She was rambling, not really expecting answers to her questions. "My dear, I cannot tell you of your uncle's reasons. I was shocked when he told me of this arrangement a couple years ago. But, Mr. Barrett has been contacted, and made aware that his presence is needed here in England. He has not been made aware of the depth of the situation, but he will be here later this afternoon and be briefed then. "Great. This just keeps getting better and better." "I expect that you will be a gracious host to him as you get better acquainted," Abbey stated. "I'm not getting acquainted with him or anyone. I'd rather live in the woods!" Elizabeth turned on her heel and stormed out of the office. She ran outside to the stables and saddled up her mare. Her world was in turmoil and she felt like she could no longer breathe. She needed to just ride. She climbed on and took off. The mare sped through the lush hillsides of Hampshire, as the wind blew her auburn hair back. She pressed her harder and harder, making her gain speed. All she heard was the clomping of Hilda's hooves as they rhythmically hit the ground. But as much as she enjoyed the freedom and the fresh air hitting her in her face, the thoughts of this whole situation kept creeping back into her mind. She didn't know how long she was gone for, but could tell that it was afternoon by the sun's position in the sky. The horse needed rest and she returned her to the stable and unsaddled her. Riding hard was always a good workout for both her and the horse. The spring sun beat down on her and plastered what wasn't windblown of her hair to her head. She was in desperate need of a shower and hoped to just sneak inside unnoticed. Unfortunately that was not the case. She saw him in the hallway, looking at one of the coats of armor. His dark brown hair was shaggy and got in his eyes. The jeans he wore were worn in and ripped at the knees and the black t-shirt tight on his arms and chest. He turned and saw her, his chiseled face and brown eyes meeting her green. He cracked a polite smile, just his right cheek going up and creating a dimple. Elizabeth quickly returned the smile and hurried past him and up the long staircase. She enjoyed a long hot shower and dressed before there was a knock on the door, telling her that her presence was needed in the office. ^^^^^^^^^^ Chase knew he was here for the reading of a will of some sort, but hadn't been given much more information. He stood in the hallway waiting for this Mr. Abbey guy, looking at the various pieces of artwork. He was admiring a suit of armor, probably several hundred years old, when he heard the massive front door creak open. He turned and saw a woman. She looked quite disheveled and dirty, and he figured she was some sort of worker at the castle. Her green eyes met his and he saw the elfin face that looked back at him. She was trim, only a few inches shorter than he, but had an ample bust and soft, gentle curves. She gently smiled and hurried past him, running up the stairs. He watched her go, her round ass hugged tightly by her jeans. Keep yourself in check; he thought to himself, you don't need to go slumming with the servant pussy. And he was right, he didn't. Ugly singers got play, but Chase was the farthest thing from ugly. He had pointed features, making him look almost Roman, and he was blessed with the body of an Adonis, his well defined arms, abs, back and thighs carrying his 6'2" frame. Women threw themselves at him constantly. He had international fame and fortune, a string of number one albums and hit singles, and lots and lots of pussy. Women always managed to find their way backstage to him, some even managed to get up to the entrance of his hotel suite, though he had no idea how they got around security. Nevertheless, he was always willing to please an eager fan. He was torn from his thoughts by a voice trying to get his attention. He turned to see a round, balding man with glasses walking towards him. "Mr. Abbey I presume?" "I'm sorry to have kept you waiting, Mr. Barrett," he said as he extended his hand to him. "Please call me Chase," he said as he grasped the man's large hand within his own. "Surely Chase, please follow me into the office." Abbey led him there and gestured to one of the chairs in front of the desk. Chase looked around, again entranced by this new room, and the ambiance he found within. The dark woods gave the room a warm, rich tone that he found inviting. "Can I get you a scotch?" "No Mr. Abbey, thank you, it is still a bit early in the day for me." "Well let me get right down to the point then. As you know, you are here because you have been left an inheritance as part of Earl's will. There is an envelope here which contains a letter the Earl wrote prior to his death, as well as a document outlining exactly what the inheritance contains, and the terms and conditions of your acceptance. I would suggest you begin with the letter, and we will proceed from there." Abbey handed him the thick letter and Chase began to read. Mr. Barrett, I am sorry that your first visit to Ashley Castle must be on these terms, but I think you will come to love both the castle and the countryside as much as I have over the years. With this letter, you will find the documentation showing that you are the legal heir to my legacy. As I hope you know, you were adopted by American parents through an American agency. You were adopted from England though. Your birth mother had an affair with my cousin, the Earl Chauncey. You were the product of that affair. The Earl paid your mother a stipend, providing she put you up for adoption, so that you would never lay claim to his title. Unfortunately, your father squandered his finances, so legally; there is nothing left for you to claim from him. However, you, as his son and my nephew, are titled as Viscount Chase Barrett Chauncey, and thus eligible for my inheritance. However, there are conditions and stipulations to this agreement, which must be followed. If you choose not to honor this agreement, you will forfeit the castle and the rest of my holdings. Fondly, Edmund Ashley Chase read the document in astonishment. He then flipped through the documents, seeing his English birth certificate and paperwork from the adoption agency, showing his parent's signatures on it. He looked up at Abbey, his mouth ajar and gently shook his head from side to side in disbelief. "H-How can this be?" "I know it is a lot to digest right now sir, but Earl Ashley was very into genealogy and he kept immaculate records. He did much research to confirm this fact, and it is indeed true." Chase sighed and ran his index finger back and forth across his chin. "Ok, well what are these terms and conditions he speaks of?" Abbey handed him the document that outlined the terms: how he was supposed to marry Elizabeth and produce an heir within 15 months of his wedding date. If he refused, the inheritance was lost to both of them. Without looking up from the paper, he said "Abbey, I think I'll take that scotch now." ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Chase quickly downed the scotch in one shot, the burn it caused in his throat proved to him that he was indeed awake and not dreaming this. More importantly, he didn't know why he was still sitting there considering this arrangement. He doesn't need the money and he's not hard up to get laid. Yet, he felt a strange pull to the castle. Abbey had refilled his glass and he raised it off the desk. "So, say I was to consider this arrangement, when do I meet this girl and how long do I have before I have to marry her?" he asked as he raised the glass to his lips. "You'll meet her in a bit and two weeks." Those last two words caused him to choke on his drink. Chase finished his coughing fit. "I'm sorry, did you say two weeks?" "That's correct sir," Abbey replied. "Wow, shit! That's not a lot of time to figure this out." "I know sir. You are welcome to have your attorney look over everything to make sure it is in order, but the wedding must occur in two weeks." "What???" Chase turned around to see a look of horror on a woman's face-a very beautiful woman's face. Her auburn hair cascaded past her shoulders in waves. He then looked into her eyes, and saw green. It was then that he realized that this beautiful woman standing before him was the ragamuffin that had hurried past him before. She confidently strode into the room and stood next to Chase at the desk, giving him a great view of her jean ensconced ass. "You can't be serious Mr. Abbey! You cannot expect me to marry this, this...playboy ever let alone in two weeks," gesturing towards Chase. "And you," she began, as she turned to Chase, "Why are you even still here? Don't you have enough money?" "Well, obviously, I don't need to introduce you both now. Elizabeth, you know that I did not set up the terms of this arrangement. I'm sorry but there is nothing I can do. If you both do not accept the terms, then you both lose the inheritance." "Then I guess I will end up a pauper on the streets!" Elizabeth turned and slammed the door behind her. "She's still very upset about Edmund's passing, so excuse her please. Well, here is my card, please let me know what you both decide." Abbey stood up and Chase rose to shake his hand. When he left the room, Chase plopped back down in the chair and poured himself another scotch. He was so confused about the whole situation. He drained the glass and went to go explore the castle some more. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ His bags had been taken up to his room when he arrived, so he hadn't seen it yet and had no idea where it was. He slowly inspected the upper hallways, peeking into the closed doors. The castle was gigantic, the hallways were like mazes, and he thought it would probably take him two weeks to find his way out. He approached a door on his left and slowly opened it. Some classical was playing in the background, Bach he thought, so she never heard the door creak open. She sat on the chaise, her laptop positioned on her lap, with her back to him. She had changed again and wore a short red silk robe, exposing her long, pale legs that were extended out. Chase leaned against the doorframe, taking her in for a moment before he proceeded up behind her. The computer screen showed her on one of the gossip websites, a picture of him up, with some girl all over him at a hotel bar in Vegas. He smiled briefly as he reflected back on that night. He remembered her, but not her name, like the myriads before her. For someone who earlier downstairs had shown a disdain for him, she was taking an interest now. He crouched down behind her, his mouth near her ear and said, "Doing your homework?" Elizabeth screamed and jumped off the chaise, her laptop landing on the hardwood floor with a thud. She spun around, and when she did the bottom of her robe opened briefly, giving him a view of her pale upper thighs. "What are you doing in here?" she screamed at him. Chase rose. "I asked you first, why are you checking up on me?" "Don't flatter yourself, I always go on that site; you just happened to be on it." "Uh-huh," Chase knew better, he knew that photo had been taken almost three weeks ago. There was no way it was just hitting the gossip sites now. "Oh please!" Elizabeth bent over to pick up the laptop, giving Chase a view down the front of her robe, unfortunately her charms were covered by a bra, but he did get look at her cleavage. She stood up and he was still taking her in when she yelled, "You behemoth! You broke my laptop, the screen is cracked!" His trance was broken. "I didn't break it; you threw it off of your lap." "Because you startled me," she argued back. "You had better replace it!" "Oh I had, huh?" her anger was amusing him and he crossed his arms over his chest, the muscles in his forearms evident. Elizabeth glared at him. "Do not mock me. What gives you the right to think you can come into my room, without knocking might I add, break my laptop, and then mock me? Who the hell do you think you are?" she asked as she took a couple steps toward him in confrontation. Chase placed his right hand over his heart, "Ah, is that how you talk to your future husband? I'm hurt." "I can think of a couple things you are and hurt is not one of them. And, I am not marrying you! Why in the bloody hell are you still even here and why are you in my room?" "Well, England, like America, is a free country, and two, I was invited. I was actually looking for my room in this maze of a house, as I had not been shown to it, when I stumbled upon you. Anymore questions?" She quickly replied, "If I show you your room, will you get out of mine?" Inherit My Heart Ch. 02 Chase woke up around 2am with a migraine. He often got them when the weather changed from hot to cold or he was really stressed. He assumed it was from the aggravation this whole situation was causing. He got up and went to the bathroom, splashing some cold water on his face. He looked in the medicine cabinet for some aspirin, but found none. Of course, he thought, Satan over there wouldn't keep any aspirin in the castle. He sat down on the toilet in the dark. The light bothered his eyes and amplified the pain. He thought about taking a hot shower because sometimes it made the pain lessen. The door from Elizabeth's room opened and the light turned on. He closed his eyes, trying to block it out. "Bloody Christ, why the hell are you sitting in here in the dark in the middle of the night?" Elizabeth almost yelled, startled. "Shhh, stop your shrieking. I have a migraine. Don't you have any aspirin in this place?" She thought for a moment, "I have something in my room that might help, I'll get it." Chase remained on the toilet, clad only in the boxers he put on when he got up. Elizabeth came back in, "Here you are." Chase stood from the toilet and Elizabeth got her first good glimpse of his body, and she had to admit it was magnificent. He was tanned and toned, and if he wasn't a rock star, could definitely double as an underwear model or athlete. And there he was, standing there in front of her, clad only in his boxers. Her eyes trailed down his body and she eyed him hungrily, following the small happy trail down to the bulge in his shorts. Elizabeth felt a strange pang in her lower stomach as he took the pills from her and it alarmed her. She caught herself and blushed. Chase was too consumed with his pain that he luckily didn't notice any of this. He threw his head back and swallowed the pills without water. "Thanks, what were those?" "Midol, feel better," she said as she turned and proudly as she went back into her room. Chase smirked and thought Bitch! He killed the light and went back to bed. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Elizabeth awoke early and went for a ride before breakfast. When she returned to the house, Chase was not downstairs yet. She ate and read the morning paper. Around 10am, Gerard entered the dining room with a package for her. She looked at him perplexed, as she was not expecting anything. She cut the box open, and pulled out the other box inside. She couldn't believe her eyes. A Mac book Pro sat on the table in front of her. Chase must have purchased the very expensive laptop for her and had it overnighted to the castle. She sat back down in the chair shocked. Chase stood upstairs in his bedroom, packing his luggage. He had Gerard call for a car for him earlier and expected it there within the half hour. He went into the bathroom to collect his toiletries and found Elizabeth standing in his room when he returned. He saw her and paused for a moment out of surprise, before returning to his luggage on the bed. "Hi," she said. "Hello." "Thank you." "For what?" "The laptop." "Oh, no biggie. I was the reason you dropped it after all." "Yeah, but still, you didn't have to do it, so thank you. Chase had been packing and hadn't made eye contact with her since she walked in until he looked up and replied, "I know I didn't have to, I wanted to." Elizabeth saw sincerity in his eyes, and began wondering if she had been misjudging him. Chase went back to packing and she walked over to sit on the edge of the bed. "So, you're leaving?" "Yup, I'll be out of your hair shortly, taking a flight back to New York." "Bet you'll be happy to be home and rid of me." "Yeah, I suppose," he replied shrugging his shoulders, as he folded a shirt, "I kinda liked the idea of owning a castle, though my lawyer and accountant weren't happy about the idea of me paying taxes on it. And I am obligated to record two more albums, which means touring, so I guess it's just as well." "Yeah, I guess," Elizabeth said as she looked down towards the floor again, fiddling with her hands in her lap. "Well, since you're leaving, I guess I should apologize for the way I treated you. It's just…I want a love like my parents had, not some arrangement. Unlike you, I don't have a lot of experience with the opposite sex, and I just believe that when you get married, it's forever, not something fleeting. My uncle knew that, so I still don't know why he made this arrangement. I don't know, maybe I'm crazy." Chase sat down on the bed next to her, "No, you're not crazy. I get it, hell, I guess maybe that's why I haven't settled down so far. I've been with countless women, but I've never told any of them that I love them. But lately, it just hasn't been enough. I want to be with someone, I want all that crap that I sing about. In a way, I kinda feel like a fraud writing and singing songs about something I've never had." Just then, there was a knock at the door, Gerard entered, and said the car was here. Chase zipped up his luggage, told him he'd be down in a minute and allowed Gerard to take his luggage down to the car. "Well, I guess this is it. Too bad we didn't talk like that just now the past couple of days. It was nice to have someone to talk to." Chase took a deep breath and looked around the room one last time. Elizabeth rose from the bed, silent. "Take care of yourself," Chase said as he extended his hand to her. Elizabeth placed hers in his larger, warm hand, and looked in his eyes. He grasped her hand and said, "Goodbye." As he was holding her hand, he ever so gently ran his thumb back and forth across the back of her hand and she looked down as her eyes began to well up. Her father used to do the same thing with his thumb when he would hold her hand when she was a kid. The simple gesture brought her back and reminded her of all the love she had for him and he for her. She croaked out a quiet goodbye as her hand went limp in Chase's and he gently let go and walked past her towards the door. She heard it open and close behind her. Elizabeth had only ever cried when her parents died and in the past week or so as her Uncle passed. And, now, a simple gesture by a man she barely knew and thought she hated had caused her eyes to spill over. She turned and ran from the room, down the stairs to the main floor. Chase shook Gerard's hand and was exiting the castle as she hit the top step. She ran down the steps and past Gerard out the front door. "Chase, Chase wait!" Chase had one leg in the car as she approached him. He stood and turned to face her. "What's the matter, why are you crying?" She paused a moment to catch her breath, "Look, I--I can't make any promises about this whole situation, but will you stay for the rest of the time, and see what happens." Chase was taken aback by her proposition. "Ar--Are you sure?" "Not really, but I don't want you to leave just yet." "Are you gonna be nice to me?" She let out a small laugh in between her sniffles, "Do I have to be?" Chase laughed back, "Well not entirely, I kinda like it when you're feisty, I told you you're cute when you're mad. But, you can't be downright evil to me, deal?" he asked, using his thumb to wipe away a stray tear that had fallen, before gripping the back of her neck and rubbing it. "Deal." Chase slowly pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly against him. Elizabeth slowly relaxed and wrapped her arms around his wide back, feeling the muscles in his back and that strange sensation in her gut. Chase breathed in the florally scent of her shampoo and placed a light kiss to her hair before he slowly released her. He grabbed his bags from the car and they carried them back up to his bedroom, before heading back down for lunch. Elizabeth was a bit quiet at first, still surprised that she asked him to stay, but she gradually opened up. They began to talk about his family; Chase told her about finding out he was adopted and how he initially resented his parents for not telling him. He told her about growing up in Connecticut, his first band out of his parent's garage and how he got started in the music business. She talked a little about her parents and how they died, not going into the details of the accident though, and of course, Uncle Edmund. Before they knew it, over two hours had passed, and it was well into the afternoon. Chase suggested that she give him the tour of the castle, and tell him about all the art and family heirlooms. She complied and they began walking from room to room. He was impressed with the intelligence and eloquence in which she spoke when she was not hurling insults at him, and he realized that he could listen to her smooth voice talk for hours. Plus, her enthusiasm made it obvious that she truly loved the castle and its contents. They hadn't even finished the main floor when Gerard came in and told them that dinner was served. They talked mostly about the art contained in the house over dinner, and Elizabeth had to admit that she was impressed with his knowledge of line and contour. He told her of some of the pieces he had back in New York, mostly smaller named artists he purchased from galleries around the cities, but one or two that she had heard of and was impressed with. After dinner they retired to the parlor for a drink. Though parlors were generally large rooms housing one's best furniture, Edmund had the room redone as a game room shortly after Elizabeth came to stay with him, figuring they had enough rooms full of furniture. The room had a full bar, snooker table, several video games, a foosball table, and another section that was partitioned off and served as a movie theater, complete with projection screen, reclining seats, and a popcorn machine. Although Chase didn't know the rules of snooker, he was a pretty good pool player, and challenged Elizabeth. She agreed and set up the table as he poured them their drinks. Chase went easy on her the first couple of games, as she made some bad shots. Gradually she got better and he started to actually play, but she still hung with him. She beat him the third game on what she coyly claimed to be a lucky shot. "Ok, then how about we make a wager this game?" "What did you have in mind?" she asked looking over at him from the top of her glass, as she sipped her drink. "If I win, you strip." Elizabeth swallowed her drink hard, thinking over his proposition for a moment. "Okay, but since I already saw everything you have to offer last night when you were taking your Midol, if I win, you have to clean the pool tomorrow morning, so we can go swimming." "Fine," he said as he walked past her to take the first shot, "But you ain't seen all I got to offer yet." Chase bent over and made the first shot, but he didn't sink anything. Elizabeth took her turn and sunk a ball, then another, and another. Chase sat back on the stool as he watched her run the table on him and sink every ball. When she was done, she delicately placed her cue on the table and smugly looked up at him. "You sharked me!" he exclaimed. "I did not, I just got lucky," she countered. "Uh-uh, nobody gets that lucky, especially when they're banking shots off the side of the table. You cheater!" "I did not cheat. I won fair and square and you have to clean the pool tomorrow morning." "Yeah, I'm gonna heave your ass into the pool tomorrow. I was wondering why you agreed to strip if you lost so easily." "I am very competitive and I don't make a wager unless I know I will win." "Good to know." "Well, I think it's time for bed, especially since someone has some work to do tomorrow morning. Ahh, what to do, should I sleep in tomorrow or come down and watch you work?" "Hahahaha! Just wait, payback's a bitch. C'mon." Chase grabbed her hand and led her from the room and up the mammoth staircase. "I had fun today, I'm glad you asked me to stay." "Yeah, me too." "Why did you stop me?" he turned and asked her as they reached her door grabbing both of her hands and turning her to face him. "What do you mean?" "Well, what happened from when I was talking to you this morning to when I left the room?" "This." Chase looked at her quizzically, and she went on to explain, looking down at their hands. "This, what you do when you hold my hand. You rub your thumb over the back of my hand. It's something that my Dad used to do when he held my hand when I was a kid. It just reminded me of him and I told you about how I wanted a relationship like my parents had, and I thought just maybe…" she said shrugging. "It's stupid, but…" Chase kissed her forehead and said against her hair, "No, it'd definitely not stupid, it's sweet and vulnerable, and its how you feel." Her eyes were glassy as she looked up at him, the green sparkling like emeralds through her tears. He placed a tender kiss to her lips that was meant more to soothe than extort any erotic feelings; still the contact of their lips ignited a heat within both of them. He rested his forehead against hers and elicited a ton of willpower by simply saying "Good night." "Good night," she replied and opened the door to her room, smiling back at him before she shut it. Chase slowly walked back to his own room and closed the door. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Chase was already cleaning the pool by the time Elizabeth came downstairs. She grabbed a scone to munch on as she went out to the pool. Chase's bare back was to her, his muscles rippling as he moved the skimmer across the surface. He had his IPod attached to the dock and on fairly loud, so that she could have snuck up behind him and pushed him in. She decided against it though, knowing he would get her back if she did. "Hey there, speed it up, I would like to swim sometime today." Chase turned to her and flicked the water off the skimmer at her as she screamed and ran away a few steps. He has the body of a God, not a musician, she thought seeing his abs and pecs as they worked in the sunlight. She placed her towel on the chair and undid the tie on her robe, slipping it from her shoulders and down her arms. Chase watched her as she disrobed and her bikini clad form came into view. My god, she's gorgeous, he thought. She turned to face him and she caught him staring at her, holding the skimmer at his side. She blushed, not used to being ogled by anyone, and sat down on the chair. Elizabeth pulled her hair up into a ponytail and squeezed some lotion on her hands. She started at the tops of her feet and worked her way up her legs. Chase decided it was time to stop skimming and get a closer view of this. He placed the skimmer down and went to go sit on the chair next to her, watching her smooth the lotion on her pale legs. He sat in silence as she worked her hands across her stomach and arms. She pulled him from his trance as she said, "Um, this is kinda embarrassing, but could you do my back?" "Hmm, uh, yeah, sure." He took the bottle from her, squeezing a generous amount into his hands. He started on her shoulders and ran his hands over the back of her neck and down her spine, massaging the lotion into her velvety skin. Elizabeth felt his strong hands working the lotion into her body. She closed her eyes and got a chill as his fingers ran down her spine. They then wrapped around her waist, rubbing the lotion into her abdomen, and left a wake that had her nerve endings on fire. She didn't mean to, but let out a soft moan, never realizing that she did. "Ah, I think that's good now." Chase pulled away, his erection growing. He stood quickly and dove into the pool, the cold water calming him down. He swam a couple of laps and noticed that Elizabeth was still on the chair. "Are you coming in?" "Yeah, in a bit." "You better, I didn't clean this pool for nothing!" He turned and swam a couple more laps. When he looked up again, she was still on the chair. "If you don't get in here, I'm gonna come over there and throw you in." Elizabeth finally stood and slowly made her way into the pool. She waded in, allowing her body to adjust to the water temperature. Once it was up to her neck, she swam past Chase, towards the grotto. It wasn't fully enclosed like an actual cave, just a rock fixture that was raised above the pool that had a waterfall cascading down from it. Elizabeth went under the waterfall, dousing herself ,and underneath the rock. Chase swam towards her and under the waterfall himself, coming out under the rock and facing her. He pushed his long hair back, so it was out of his face. She was sitting against the wall with a bit of a scowl on her face. "Oh no, what'd I do now?" "I know I'm nowhere near as pretty as some of your groupies or Hollywood types, but if the thought of touching me repulses you, why are you still here?" Chase shook his head in disbelief, water flying off his hair, "What are you talking about?" "Just what I said. I know I'm not as skinny or pretty, and my boobs aren't as big, but you didn't have to pull away from me as if I have the plague. If you aren't interested, just come out and say so, and we can end this arrangement right now." Chase took the two strides to close the distance between them and crushed his lips to hers. She tried to push him off of her in protest, but slowed as he continued to abuse her lips. She closed her eyes and placed her arms on his shoulders, surrendering to him and her arousal. The kiss continued for about another 30 seconds before Chase eased up his assault as he slowly pulled back from her. They both struggled to regain their breath. Chase placed his forehead against hers. "First of all, if I didn't want to be here, I wouldn't be, and second, I pulled away from you and jumped in the pool to hide the raging hard on I was getting from touching you. But this time, I'm not gonna hide it." Chase wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her against him before pressing his lips to hers again. Elizabeth didn't protest the kiss this time, and willingly opened her mouth to Chase's probing tongue. She wrapped her hands in his hair, pulling him closer to her. Chase ran his tongue over her teeth and dueled with her tongue. He then pulled away, trailing kisses down her neck, across her collarbone and chest, and back up the other side. When he reached her ear, he used his teeth to gently pull on her lobe. She let out a low whimper, not of pain, but pleasure. Chase had her body on fire. Her nipples had hardened to points and were pressing into Chase's chest. The thin material of their bathing suits was the only thing sheathing their sexes from one another. Chase's length was pressing into her belly as his hands slid up to cup her breasts, his palms sliding over her sensitive nipples. She shuddered under his touch, lost the in sensations that she could feel all the way down to her toes. Her body was giving in to the lust she felt for him. Right now, she didn't care about true love; she just wanted him to keep touching her forever. Chase ran his hands down Elizabeth's sides and gripped her ass. He slid his hands down her thighs and lifted her legs upward, so that they wrapped around his hips. He moaned into her mouth as his cock pressed against her folds. He bent his knees so that he was in a sitting position and he could hold her without using his hands. Chase ran his hands up her soft back and up to her neck, where he slowly untied her bikini top and let it drop down between them. The realization of what he was doing hit Elizabeth as her top began to fall and she instinctively pulled back and tried to cover up. Chase grabbed her wrists and pulled her arms away as he looked into her eyes, her top floating on the water's surface. Chase cast his eyes down to her pale, full globes. Large areolas encircled dime sized dark nipples. He slowly released her wrists and skillfully ran his fingers over her breasts, gently massaging every inch, until he worked his way inward and rolled her nubs between his thumb and index finger. Inherit My Heart Ch. 02 Elizabeth's breath hitched and she instinctively arched her back, thrusting her chest out to him. She closed her eyes and threw her head back, relishing in the stimulation. Chase lowered his head and gently swiped his tongue across the bud, teasing it with the tip. Elizabeth moaned his name, and Chase felt himself grow harder hearing her accent become throaty and primal. "Mr. Barrett, Mr. Barrett," the loud shouting of his name startled both of them. "Shite," Elizabeth quickly pulled up her top, and fastened it behind her neck, her cheeks flushed and lips swollen, her eyes filled with lust. "Can't we just hide out in here?" "No, Gerard wouldn't be calling for you if it wasn't urgent. And besides, he doesn't need to see my bosoms" "Fine," Chase growled and he exited the grotto, "Yes Gerard, what can I do for you?" "I'm sorry to bother you, but you have an important call from your manager, sir." Gerard handed the phone to Chase, as Elizabeth swam out of the grotto. She swam past Chase and exited the pool, walking past Gerard to reach for her towel. Gerard could see the lusty expression that still remained on Elizabeth's face, and was both shocked and pleased. "What?" she asked guiltily. Gerard just smiled and shook his head, "Nothing madam, as you were." He then turned and walked back into the house. "I'll call you back and let you know," she heard Chase say before he hung up the phone and placed in on the ledge of the pool. "Why'd you get out?" he asked, watching as she bent over to towel off her legs. "Because I am not just going to hump you in the pool." "Oh…well…does that mean that you will hump me out of the pool?" "Oh bugger off!" She sat back on the chair and closed her eyes, knowing the answer to his question was becoming a yes. "What was so urgent?" "My manager wants me to go into the studio for a day or two in London. So, you feel like takin' a lil' trip with me?" Elizabeth opened her eyes and looked at Chase, "Really, you want me to go with you?" "Sure, but we have to leave early tomorrow morning." "Well then, I guess I need to start packing." She stood up and grabbed her towel, leaving Chase in the pool, as she headed inside. Chase remained at the edge of the pool enjoying the view, before he picked up the phone and dialed his manager. Inherit My Heart Ch. 03 Chase and Elizabeth arrived in London around noon. They checked their bags at The Mayfair, and took the short walk over to the studio. When they arrived, Chase introduced Elizabeth to the producers and sound mixers as his "friend," and she smiled and greeted everyone cordially. Chase quickly got to work, discussing the song with these men. She noticed how different Chase was in the studio-serious and dedicated. She wasn't necessarily surprised, being that he was a very successful artist, but it was a definite change from the Chase who was always cracking jokes and the Chase who mauled her in the pool the day before. She shuddered a little at the memories from the grotto. Chase had been pretty much hands off the rest of the evening. She finished packing, they ate dinner, and then they watched a movie in the theater afterwards. Elizabeth fell asleep during the film, her head on Chase's shoulder, and when the movie was over, he gently carried her upstairs and placed her into bed, only placing a light kiss on her forehead before he closed the door to her room. She had awoken when he placed her on her bed, opening her eyes to see him walk away. She had thought about calling out to him, asking him to stay, but remained quiet. Elizabeth daydreamed until Chase went in to lay down the track. She was familiar with his music and enjoyed it, but watching him in the studio brought a whole new depth forth. She watched him sing with such raw emotion and focus and was mesmerized by his voice. He had such a command of his tone, and only ran through the song three times before the he and the producer were both satisfied and they began mixing the track. They ordered in a lunch of fish and chips, and ate while they worked. Elizabeth sat back and watched the process. One of the producers then approached her and made small talk. He was very flirty with her, almost as if he was hitting on her, until he said to her, "You must be a special one." Why is that?" she questioned curiously. "Well, Chase never brings women to the studio with him." The man then got called back by Chase, and Elizabeth was left with the thought to chew on. Chase had been intent on laying down the track as quickly as possible, so he could get out of the studio and they could enjoy their time in London. He hadn't paid much attention to Elizabeth until Ron went over to her and struck up a lengthy conversation. He knew Ron's reputation with women, and knew it was almost as bad as his own. So, when he witnessed Ron flirting with Elizabeth, a chord of jealousy was struck within him. He was taken aback momentarily, as he was not a jealous person at all. He quickly dispatched his emotions and regained control of the situation by calling Ron over to help the mixer out with the track. A moment later, he went over to Elizabeth to mark his territory, so that Ron and the others would know to stay away. "I know this isn't really entertaining, we should have stopped and picked up some magazines or something for you beforehand. I'm sorry if you're bored." "Are you kidding me? This is so neat! Watching you work is just fascinating. You're so enveloped in the song when you're singing, it's amazing!" Chase smiled at her, and placed his hands on her neck, lightly kneading the muscles there. "You're good for my ego." "Oh, just what you need, a bigger ego," Elizabeth replied, smiling back at him. Chase laughed before bending down and kissing her. The kiss started lightly, but its passion quickly increased as Chase deepened the kiss. Elizabeth wound her hands into the bottom of Chase's shirt, holding him close to her. The mixer came over the microphone, "Uh, Chase, can you tear yourself away for a moment, so that we can finish this up here?" Chase shot the guys and evil look and they laughed. He gave Elizabeth one more quick kiss, her cheeks now flushing with embarrassment before he winked at her and went back to work. ^^^^^^^^^^^ They walked back towards the hotel, stopping at a few shops along the way. Elizabeth found a dress and shoes to wear to dinner, but wouldn't let Chase see it, as much as he pouted. They walked back to the hotel hand in hand. When they entered the elevator, Chase pulled Elizabeth against him and possessively wrapped his arms around her waist. He rested his head on her shoulder as the elevator took them up to the penthouse suite. When Chase opened the door to the suite, Elizabeth's jaw about hit the floor. She had never seen a hotel room this large. There was a full kitchen, bar, living area, and three bedrooms, each of which had a bathroom. The décor was modern, with rich black leather and cream tones. Though she lived in a castle, she had never seen a space designed this impressively before. The view was also breathtaking; floor to ceiling windows surrounded two sides of the suite, giving them bird's eye views of Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace so many floors below. Elizabeth approached the windows and marveled at the view outside. Dusk was just beginning to creep in on the city, the lights illuminating the buildings and street lamps below. "This is beautiful." "It's nothing compared to the view I've got from over here," Chase said, leaning against the kitchen counter. Elizabeth turned and leered at him, "Sod off!" "What? It's true." "Chase, I'm not one of your groupies. Your cheeky lines aren't going to work here," she said as she walked towards her bedroom and closed the door. Once inside she leaned against the door and closed her eyes. The truth was she melted every time he flashed a smile her direction. She pushed off the door and began undressing, walking into the bathroom to run the shower. As she stripped, the room heated and the steam created a fog within. She stepped into the shower allowing the hot water to run down her body, tilting her head back to soak her hair. She washed her hair and then used the body wash to slowly soap up her body. She shivered as her hands ran over her breasts and she tweaked her nipples. She ran her fingertips up her neck and back down to her breasts, lightly circling the nubs and wishing that it was Chase's hands on her, not her own. In her haze of arousal, she realized what she had to do. After Elizabeth left Chase in the kitchen, he retired to his room and took a shower of his own. Standing under the hot water, his cock stood at attention, his hard-on constant as it had been for the past couple of days. He slowly soaped his wide chest up and let his hand slide down to his cock. He began stroking himself slowly, and increased his pace as he envisioned Elizabeth's plump lips wrapped around his tool. He wrapped his left hand around the tip, palming his cock and imagining he was hitting the back of her throat. He squeezed his eyes shut and growled as he shot his load into the shower, his powerful release slamming through him. Chase fell back against the cool wall of the shower, struggling to regain his breathing as he slammed his hand against the faucet, shutting the water flow. He brushed his long hair back out of his face and slowly opened his eyes, allowing them to readjust to the light. He pushed off the wall, weak kneed, and slowly stepped out of the shower. What is this girl doing to me? He wondered. He wrapped the towel around him and went back into the bedroom to get dressed. Chase sat in the living room, trying to get the Yankees score. He hated being oversees and having to view highlights on the TV. He was flipping through the channels of the satellite service, when he heard heels clack against the marble floor. He turned to the right and gasped when he saw her. Elizabeth wore her hair down, her curls gently flowing around her shoulders. She had make up on, something he hadn't seen since the first day he met her, when she was yelling at Abbey. It was much darker though this evening, more suited to going out. Her eye shadow was dark and smoky. She wore a red halter dress that was fitted to her waist before it gently flared out and stopped mid thigh. There was a deep cut between her breasts, exposing a vee of her ample cleavage, a silver pendant rested there. Her legs were wrapped in neutral stockings; her feet enveloped in open toed patent leather red four inch pumps. Chase felt himself instantly go hard and his mouth went dry. She struggled to say something, but nothing would come out. He gulped again and looked her up and down, speechless. In front of him, in his hotel suite, stood the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Elizabeth smiled down at Chase, knowing the reaction she elicited. He wore black dress slacks and a dark red, almost burgundy silk shirt. "You ready to go?" Chase slowly stood and Elizabeth could see the bulge in the front of his pants. He grabbed his phone and wallet off the table, and she turned and headed towards the door, her hips swaying under the dress, mesmerizing Chase. He looked up and saw that the entire back of her dress was open to her waist as well, leaving her practically naked in front of him. He wondered what he was getting himself into. They rode the elevator in silence-Chase visibly uncomfortable. When they reached the lobby and the doors opened, Elizabeth grabbed his arm and practically pulled him out of the elevator. She confidently walked across the lobby, every man and some women turning to stare at her beauty and elegance, and outside to their car. They sat inside and she told the driver an address. Chase was still quiet and uncomfortable. She comfortably grabbed his hand, lacing their fingers together and looked out the window, marveling at the effect she was having on him. A slow smile crept across her face as she watched the buildings pass by. Chase leaned against the corner of the seat and just watched her, watched the slow rise and fall of her breasts. He couldn't believe that the sexy, confident woman sitting next to him was the same one he had been sparring with just days earlier-the same woman who seemed meek and vulnerable the past two days. Who was she really? he wondered. The car pulled up to their destination and she slowly exited, her long legs lingering in his view. He took a deep breath, opened his door, and walked around to the curb where she was waiting for him. Elizabeth grabbed his arm again and led him inside. Fiesta Havana was dimly lit, the walls painted bright shades of blue and orange. The small, intimate tables encircled a dance floor with couples salsa dancing. A DJ was off in the corner spinning the heady latin beats. The maître d led them to a table in the corner and they sat. She ordered them a pitcher of sangria and then silently began to page through the menu. Chase stared at Elizabeth in awe. When she said she would make their dinner plans, a place like this was the last place he thought he would end up in. He also never thought the woman sitting before him would surprise him in the way that she was. Finally he spoke, "How did you find this place?" Elizabeth looked up at him and smiled, "When I was at University, a couple of my girlfriends and I would come here every so often. It has a nice ambiance and the food is brilliant. It's one of the few places in all of England to get decent latin food. Plus, the dancing is fantastic. Can you dance?" "Uh, I can dance, but I don't know if I can dance like them," he said pointing towards the couples on the floor. "Well, I guess we'll see after dinner," she said, smiling, before she looked down at her menu again. The waitress brought them their drinks and Elizabeth ordered the paella valenciana and Chase the pato cubana fajitas. Chase finally confessed, "I don't get you at all." "What do you mean?" Elizabeth asked coyly. "Um, you know exactly what I mean. First, you were abrasive and hating me. Then you were sweet and gentle and were warming up to me, and now, now I don't know what to make of you-you have this sexy temptress thing going on. Which one is the real you?" Elizabeth narrowed her eyes, a bit hurt by his comment, "Why can't they all be who I am? Yes, I did hate you and this whole situation in the beginning, but I decided to go into it with an open mind when I asked you to stay. This wasn't my idea of an ideal situation-you know that. And, as far as my changes in personality go as you say, this is who I am. I like to dress up, and I like to get dirty. I like to go out just as much as I like to stay in and read a book or go for a ride on my horse. And I'm smart and sensitive and at the same time, I'm hard and guarded because it is just who I am." Elizabeth sat there staring at Chase, his expression blank. He stared down at the table. "You know what, maybe this whole thing wasn't a good idea." Elizabeth rose from her chair and walked past Chase. She got about ten feet from the table when he grabbed her hand and spun her around. "Chase let go of me," she said lowly, unable to meet his eyes, as hers were welling up. He pulled her close to him and wrapped his arms around her, the beat of the music now slowed. "I'm sorry," he whispered into her ear, "This is just unchartered territory for me and you just really surprised me this evening and caught me off guard. I just wasn't sure if this was really you or if you were putting this whole ensemble together tonight because this is what you thought I wanted. I'm so used to people just telling me what they think I want to hear or acting the way they think that I want them to act." He pulled back from her and lifted her chin so that her eyes met his, "I just want to know the real you, that's all." "Well, this is it," she said sniffling, "What you see is what you get." "Good, because I really like what I see." Chase leaned down and placed a gentle kiss to her lips. He wiped her tears away before wrapping his arms around her again. Elizabeth slowly gave in and slid her arms around his neck. Chase ran his hands possessively over her bare back, tracing patterns over her velvety skin. The contrast of his warm hands under the breeze from the fans that were pushing cool air down onto them made Elizabeth shudder and her nipples grow taut, pressing into his firm chest. Chase lowered his head and ran a slow trail of kisses across her shoulder. As he approached her neck, he gently nipped at her skin, not intending on leaving a mark, just as a symbol of his control over her body. As he bit into her shoulder, Elizabeth felt a rush of wetness flow from her slit. As much as her head was telling her to stay mad at him for questioning her intentions, her body was betraying her and there was nothing she could do to stop it. Luckily, the song ended and she was able to slowly pull away from him, seeing that their dinner was being served. She led him back to the table and they sat down to their meal. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ They arrived back at the hotel suite around one am. After dinner, it seemed as if they were able to forget about their earlier altercation as they alternated dancing and drinking. The sangria turned into tequila as they worked up a sweat on the dance floor. Chase was amazed by Elizabeth's sense of rhythm as he struggled to hold his own. She freely ground herself against him, as she shook her ass and shimmied to the latin beats. He was again surprised that this woman had such a sexuality about her and how she was able to channel it into her dancing. When they fell into the car for the short ride back to the hotel, they were both under the influence of a handsome buzz. Elizabeth let her inhibitions fly out the window, as she closed the divider between them and the driver and straddled Chase's lap. She initiated an intense make out session that continued into the elevator and up to the entrance of the penthouse as Chase struggled to get the keycard into the slot. Once they got into the room, Elizabeth walked past him and threw her purse on the counter. She walked over towards the window, looking out at the city illuminated below. Chase came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, as she clasped her hands over his. Together they silently looked out at the city streets below, still bustling. Chase rested his head on Elizabeth's shoulder. "I'm sorry I fucked up our first date earlier." "You didn't fuck it up, We still had fun." "Yeah, but I never even told you tonight how stunning you look. When I first saw you tonight, you took my breath away." "Only when you first saw me?" she questioned acerbically. "Don't joke, I'm trying to be serious," he said as he pulled away from her and went to go sit on the arm of the couch. "Every man who saw you tonight looked at you like he wanted you. Even earlier today Ron was all over you. I'm not used to being in a position where I feel like I'm jealous. Women have always come easy to me, and I've never had to work for anything. But, for some reason, you make me nervous and I don't know why. I feel like an idiot when I'm with you sometimes. I don't know, I've been drinking, I'm rambling. All I was trying to say was that I think you are amazing, and you look really, really hot in that dress." Elizabeth stared at him for a moment. Chase was admitting that he was jealous and insecure around her. Why? He's a rock star and I'm a nobody, she thought. What did it really matter though? He could have any women he wanted and he had spent the past six days with her. He could have turned around and walked away. He didn't need the castle or the money. He was with her right now because he wanted to be. Elizabeth closed the gap between them and draped her arms around his shoulders. She bit her lip as she looked at him. "I have a bit of a confession to make." Chase looked at her, worried, "What?" "Yes, I do like to dress up and go out and all, but I wore this dress tonight to drive you crazy, and I took you to that club for the same reason." Chase closed his eyes, and breathed a sigh of relief, "It worked. I've wanted to rip that dress off of you all night." She leaned in towards his ear and whispered, "So, what's stopping you?" Chase grabbed her waist and pushed her back a step, "Don't tease me," he warned. Elizabeth grabbed his hands that were at her waist and pulled him off the arm of the couch. She slowly led him to his bedroom. When they got to the foot of his bed, she turned to face him. "Ar-are you sure about this?" he asked. Her response was to slowly start unbuttoning his shirt. She pulled it from the waist of his pants and finished opening it with shaking fingers. After she had the last one undone, she pushed the shirt back off his shoulders and ran her hands down his smooth chest to his abs. Chase's muscles fluttered under her touch. Their eyes locked as she sat on the edge of the bed and pushed herself up to the middle. Chase pulled off her heels before he knelt down on the bed. He pulled her up to her knees and lowered his lips to hers. The kiss started slow, but became deep and frantic in a hurry. Chase unhooked the material of the halter that wrapped around her neck and slowly peeled it down the front of her, exposing her breasts. He wrapped his arms around her, pushing the dress down past her bare ass. He squeezed her cheeks, pulling her closer to him, smashing her breasts into his chest. His mouth went to her neck and sucked her flesh, knowing he would leave a mark. She groaned and clung to his shoulders, wanting, needing to feel more of him. "Chase, I need to talk to you about something." "Shhh, you talk too much." Chase covered her mouth with his, muffling her protests. He laid her back on the bed and kneaded her breasts, tweaking her nipples. She moaned his name and got lost in the sensations that were running through her body, forgetting about her thoughts a second before. Her head became foggy as Chase pulled her dress off of her legs, and she lay on the bed, clad only in the stockings and garter belt. Her hands moved to cover her mound, but Chase grabbed her hands. Inherit My Heart Ch. 03 "Don't cover yourself, you are gorgeous." Chase placed her hands back at her sides as he lowered his mouth to her breasts, laving her nipples with his tongue. Elizabeth's hands fisted the comforter. He moved his mouth lower, running his tongue down her abdomen. Gently, he eased his left hand between her thighs, and ran it up to her bare mound. Her slit was drenched as he slid his finger along her lips. He reached his thumb down to circle her clit and she moaned and arched off the bed. She slipped his finger inside of her softness and pressed upwards until he hit something. Chase was pulled from his haze of lust in an instant. All the alcohol he consumed that night didn't block out the fact the Elizabeth was a virgin. He slowly pulled himself away and looked up at her. "You're a virgin!" It wasn't a question, but a fact. Chase had figured out her secret. "Oh my god, that's what you were gonna tell me just now, isn't it." Elizabeth sat up and quietly said "Yes." "I can't do this, I'm sorry." Chase stood up from the bed and walked out of the room. Elizabeth sat on the bed in shock, wondering what just happened as she heard the door to the suite shut. Thanks to Michchick98 for editing this chapter for me. Things are crazy around here with finals, so it may be several days before the next chapter is submitted. But, check back, as I may decide to procrastinate my studying and write instead! Inherit My Heart Ch. 04 This chapter took a bit longer than I had hoped to get out, but things have been nuts with school this week. Thanks to Michchick98 for editing me, since I don't have the time to do it myself right now-without her invaluable help, this would not be up right now. School ends tomorrow, so hopefully will be able to get chapters done quicker. Happy Holidays!!! * Elizabeth sat on the bed, wondering what just happened. Here she was, giving herself to Chase, her virginity, something she had held onto for so long, and he rejected her. It was bad enough to leave her alone on the bed in the nude, but he then fled the hotel suite. Tears welled up in her eyes and she slowly rose from the bed and gathered her clothes. This was why she closed herself off to men and why she had barely dated in college. She couldn't deal with the rejection when a guy found out that she wasn't going to allow herself to be used as his fucktoy. And, here she was, finally opening up to Chase and entrusting him with her heart, and he tossed her aside. She went into her room and caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror-nude with mascara running down her cheeks. She began the shower, cleansing herself of his touch and smell. She scrubbed her skin to the point that it appeared red in an attempt to wash him away. The tears began to flow more freely as the reality of what had just happened began to sink in further. She leaned against the wall and cried herself out. When there were no tears left to squeeze out and the water began to cool, she exited the shower and toweled off. She threw on jeans and a t-shirt and began heaving her clothes into her suitcase. When she had all of her belongings packed, she called for a car and took one more glance around the hotel suite. Well, it was nice while it lasted, she thought. The doorbell of the penthouse rang and the bellhop took her bag to the elevator for her. She closed the door and headed home. Elizabeth stared out the window as the car drove into the country. Her expression was tired and blank. Her hurt would soon dissipate and turn into anger, but she knew that this could not happen soon enough. As soon as she got back to the castle, she would send Chase's belongings to London, so that she never had to see him again. ^^^^^^^^ Chase didn't know where he was going when he left the hotel suite, but he knew he needed to get air. He wanted her so badly, but was not going to have her first time be a drunken romp in the sheets. He left the hotel and went across the street to Hyde Park, walking the paths illuminated by the moonlight. He needed to get his bearings. He knew he should have explained things to her before he just ran out of the hotel room, but knew that she would probably try to convince him to keep going, to take her virginity. Knowing that she was a virgin, that he would be the first to fill her, made him want her all the more. He left the park and went back to the hotel bar. He knew he needed to go back up to the suite, but was stalling. He knew he handled things poorly and would need to again make amends. He ordered a beer and sat at the bar, frustrated. Why was he doing everything wrong with Elizabeth? He never had problems when it came to wooing women, why were they starting now? A petite, pretty blonde came over and sat on a stool near him. She smiled at him and gave him a wink, but he strangely was not interested. He wanted to be upstairs with Elizabeth, he needed to explain things to her, and he left the bar without finishing his beer. The penthouse was dark and quiet. He first went to his room, but she was not there. He then went to her bedroom, and saw that the dresser drawers were left open and empty. She was gone. ^^^^^^^ Four days later: Chase stayed in London. Elizabeth had his bags dropped off at the hotel that afternoon, making it obvious that his presence was not welcome at the castle. He had tried calling her several times, but Gerard kept telling him that she was unavailable. So, he spent his days and many evenings in the studio, trying to finish the album. But when he was alone, Elizabeth haunted his thoughts and dreams. He was miserable without her. He snapped at the guys in the studio several times. He was drinking a lot and basically feeling sorry for himself. Several women had made passes at him, but he showed no interest. He only wanted to be with Elizabeth and finally decided that he had sat around feeling sorry for himself for too long and needed to take action. Elizabeth's hurt had finally channeled into anger, and when she was angry, she needed to keep herself busy. After she had Chase's bags taken to London, she began cleaning her room, and downsizing her possessions. It was obvious that she and Chase were not going to be, and she needed to find a job and a new place to live and rather quickly. She had several appointments to look at flats the next day and had an interview set up for the following week. She knew she could survive on her savings for awhile if she could not find a job, but hoped that she would not have to exhaust her finances. In the meantime, she was separating the clothing that she was getting rid of. She had a pile that was garbage and another that she was donating to those who were less fortunate. A gentle knock rapped at the door before it slowly opened. "Gerard, you can just throw the bags on my chair," she said, not bothering to turn around to look at him. Footsteps slowly crossed the room and came to stand behind her. As they lingered, she could feel him, feel the heat he emanated on her body, and feel his eyes staring at her back. "You can turn around and walk right back out the way you came in," she said blithely. "I'm not leaving," he said, "There's a lot we need to talk about." "I have nothing to say to you." "Oh, I find that hard to believe. If nothing else, I know you wanna scream at me and call me an arse or whatever kind of British cuss words you can come up with." "Arse does not even begin to cover it, but you aren't worth my breath." "You know that's not true, I was worth a whole lot more than that the other night," he said, deliberately trying to goad her into turning around to face him. Elizabeth winced at the mention of the other night, and through gritted teeth said, "I would suggest you not bring up the other night." Chase knelt down behind her, "Why? It needs to be brought up. You and I both know you want to scream at me and you need to know why I left." "I don't care why you left." "Well if that's true, turn around and look at me. Tell me to my face that you don't care, because you and I both know that you are lying to yourself." "Why are you here Chase? Are you here to humiliate me some more?" She finally turned to face him, "Maybe this time, you can actually shag me and then leave me lying naked on a bed, mortified. I get it, okay. I get that I'm a virgin and wasn't experienced enough for you and your rock star image. You didn't need to come here to tell me that again, so sod off and leave." "Is that what you seriously think, that you weren't experienced and that's why I left? Are you crazy?" "Are you going to sit here and insult me now on top of everything? You need to leave Chase; I don't want to hear what you have to say about how you rejected me." "No, you need to hear what I have to say, because I may not have handled things properly, but I am not the bad guy here, and I'm not going to walk out of here with you thinking that. I left you that night, because I wasn't going to have your first time be some drunken romp between the two of us. I needed to get out of that suite, because I wanted to be with you more than I wanted my next breath, and if I stayed I was going to take you right then and there, and I wasn't going to do that because I know how important someone's first time is, especially when you've waited this long and have the notions about love that you do. I meant everything I said to you that night about how I felt about you. Yes, I fucked up, but I came back and you weren't there. I left you that night, but you left me too." As much as Elizabeth wanted to believe everything he was saying, he had already hurt her, and she wasn't going to set herself up again. "Are you finished?" "No, I'm not. I have missed you so much the past few days. I have been lost without you, and as much as you won't admit it to me, I know you've missed me too." Chase reached into his pocket and pulled the blue box out, placing it on the floor between the two of them. "I'm sorry that I hurt you, but I didn't mean to. I wasn't trying to. If you want me to spend my life making it up to you, I will, but you need to tell me so." Chase stood and walked out of her room and into the one that he had been occupying the week before. Elizabeth sat on the floor, staring at the light blue box that said Tiffany & Co. Her hands shook as she picked it up off the floor and slowly pulled the white ribbon from it. She lifted the lid and gasped when she saw the three stone, emerald cut, platinum set engagement ring that was inside. Her head became cloudy and she suddenly felt ill, running to the bathroom and kneeling in front of the toilet. She began dry heaving but nothing more, as she had not eaten that day. In fact, she had barely eaten anything since she left Chase in London four days earlier. Chase had just laid down on his bed when he heard her heaving through the bathroom door. He sprung up and threw the door open dropping to his knees, and gathering her hair back and out of her face. "Shhh, honey, calm down, it's okay." Elizabeth tried to regain her composure when she realized she was still clutching the ring box in her right hand. "IT'S NOT OKAY!" she yelled at him, as she pushed him backwards off his haunches so that he fell on his ass. She then threw the ring box at him, hitting him in the chest, before it bounced to the floor. He stared down at the box. He knew she would initially be hostile towards him, but this was certainly not the reaction he expected. She stood up and turned to go back to her room. Oh no you don't, Chase thought. He agilely leapt up from the floor and came up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist and lifting her off the floor. "Chase, get off of me!" she screamed as she kicked at his legs. She made contact with one of his shins and he grunted in pain. He threw the shower door open and turned the faucet on. "Wh-what are you doing?" she demanded. Chase's answer was to dump Elizabeth under the cold stream of water. She yelled out from the chill. "I think you need to cool off," he said smugly before turning and walking back into his bedroom, picking the ring up off the floor as he did. Elizabeth slammed the faucet off and stalked into his bedroom, "You are a fucking wanker! Who in the bloody hell do you think you are?" She stood in front of him, scowling and demanding answers, her hands on her hips, dripping all over the hardwood floor. Chase sat and just stared at her. Her white t-shirt clung to her form showing off every curve, her dusky nipples visible through the material, the thin material of her Adidas shorts stuck to her long legs. He felt his groin tighten with desire. "God you are beautiful. Come here," he said, holding his hand out to her. "Oh piss off Chase! If I come over there, I'm going to kick your arse. Just do us both a favor and go back to America." She turned to leave the room. "You say that to me, but you don't really mean it. If you wanted me out, you'd just throw me out; you wouldn't stand here and waste your time fighting with me." She turned back to him, eyeing him curiously. Elizabeth walked over to his suitcase, heaving it onto the bed. She then marched over to the dresser, scooped a drawer full of clothes up and threw them into his luggage. She turned to repeat the process, but Chase was at her back as she reached the dresser, placing his hands on the dresser on each side of her. "Chase, you are seriously trying my patience, now get away from me." Chase leaned in and breathed into her ear, "I'll leave if you can kiss me and not feel anything. And, I'm not saying that you tell me that you don't feel anything. I know how your body responds to me, to my touch. I know you didn't forget all that in four days." He possessively placed his hand on her stomach, drawing her back against him. Elizabeth knew he was placing before her an impossible task. Her heart sped up and her stomach was in knots just from his breath on her neck. When he pulled her against his form, she could feel his length pressing diligently into her ass. She closed her eyes and struggled to keep in the gasp that she so desperately wanted to let out. Chase knew he was affecting her, knew if he could just get her to kiss him that he could get her to give in. He goaded her further, "What's the matter, chicken Lizzy?" She spun around into him, her breasts now pressed into his chest, soaking his shirt. "Don't call me Lizzy. My father used to call me Lizzy and is the only person who was and will ever b-" Chase cut off her anger and the tears that were beginning to form in her emerald eyes and took control of her mouth, pressing his against it. He wrapped his arms around her, as she tried to push back against his stomach to no avail. He started the kiss slow, his tongue slowly probing, searching for a way into her mouth. He bit her bottom lip, and when she instinctively went to protest, he was able to slip his tongue in her mouth and meet hers. He gently slid it back and forth leisurely taunting her, daring her to kiss him back. Elizabeth was trying to ignore his efforts with every fiber in her being, but her body was betraying her. Her nipples hardened into his chest and she could feel herself getting damp as his strong hands ran themselves over her back. Without realizing it, her hands had gone from pushing against his stomach to fisting themselves into the bottom of his shirt, and in essence, pulling him closer to her, pulling her to what she really wanted. She finally gave up and returned his kiss. Chase smiled a bit into her mouth, knowing he had her, knowing she was his. He reached in between them and drew her hands up so that they wrapped around his neck. He then reached down and grabbed the backs of her thighs, boosting her up to wrap her legs around his waist. He started walking towards the bed, breaking their kiss as he lifted the bottom of her shirt up and over her head, tossing it to the floor. "What are you doing?" she asked, breathily. "Getting you out of these wet clothes, I don't want you to get sick," he said, smiling up at her, and pulling her in for another kiss before she had time to protest. He deftly laid her back onto the bed and hooked his fingers into the sides of her shorts, pulling them down her legs and tossing them to the floor. He pulled his own shirt over his head as well, and kneeled at the edge of the bed looking at her nude form. She looked back at him from under heavy, lust filled lids, biting her lip in anticipation. As much as she wanted him and this, she was uneasy as a result of their last meeting. As he stared down at her, apprehension and self consciousness began to seep through and she moved her hands to cover herself. "Don't do that," he said, taking her hands and pulling them over her head, straddling her as he did. "Don't cover yourself up." "You're making me nervous just sitting there staring at me." "I'm admiring you." Elizabeth rolled her eyes and looked away from him. "Hey," he said, grasping her chin and turning her head to face him, "I know I fucked up, but I'm not going anywhere." "Well, you're squishing me, so can you either do whatever you're gonna do or get off of me?" "So you want me just to fuck you, right here, right now?" Chase asked. "That's your prerogative isn't it? Isn't that why you stripped me of my clothes?" "No, I'm not going to fuck you or make love to you or whatever you'd like to call it. Not until we're married that is." "Chase, I never said I was going to marry you." "You will," he said, leaning down to kiss her neck and collarbone. "You're going to be begging to marry me and then I am going to make you cum so hard." Chase lowered his head to her breast and sucked her nipple into his mouth. He teased it with his teeth and tongue before alternating to the other. He slowly went back and forth, alternating speed and pressure as Elizabeth arched into him. Chase could feel her clenching her fists as he continued to hold her arms above her head. Chase raised his head and slid his chest up her body, teasing her further with the skin on skin contact. He bit down on her earlobe and whispered, "Are you ready to marry me yet?" "No," she replied huskily. "Ok," Chase slid back down her body, briefly teasing her nipples before working his way down towards her navel. He gently ran his tongue over her stomach and watched her breasts raggedly rise and fall with her uneven breaths. He shifted his weight, holding both her arms above her head with his left hand as he painstakingly trailed his right hand down her left arm to the side of her breast and down to her hip. He slowly ran his fingers around her mound, almost tickling her. He looked up and saw that her eyes were closed and she was beginning to squirm under his touch. "How 'bout now?" he asked again. Elizabeth took a deep breath and barely whispered a "no," her mouth dry and almost unable to utter a sound. He did not respond, instead he took his left hand and ran it down the length of her thigh, stopping at her knee. He slowly slipped his hand between her knees and spread her legs apart before skimming his fingers up her inner thigh. He stopped for a moment, letting her relish in the sensations he was sending to her synapses, before dipping his finger in between her wet folds. He pulled it out and brought it to his lips, getting his first taste of her. Her nectar was the perfect amalgamation of salty sweet and he savored her flavor, moaning as it rolled onto his tongue. Chase finally let go of her hands and slid the rest of the way down Elizabeth's body. His nose nuzzled her mound and he blew a light stream of air over his lips. Her hips arched towards his face. He slowly peeled her lips apart and swiped his tongue across her center, making her moan and arch further into him. He looked up at her face; her eyes scrunched tight, her hands gripping at the comforter above her head. He made lazy circles over her clit with his thumb before swiping his tongue across her again. He pressed harder into her clit, her hips rising farther off the bed to meet his face and he stuck his tongue inside of her, penetrating her with his mouth. She moaned out his name and he began pistoning his tongue in and out of her, fucking her with it. He felt her move her hands down towards his head, pressing him deeper into her. He pulled back a tad and she groaned. As he spoke, his hot breath streamed over her clit, "C'mon honey, I know you wanna cum, just say it. Say you'll marry me, and I'll let you." Elizabeth couldn't take the torture he was putting her body through. She was on the brink of a massive orgasm and wanted nothing more at this moment than for him to make her cum. He took her clit between his teeth and gently chewed at it, driving her even wilder. She was on the edge of falling into a deep oblivion. If she let herself go, there was no turning back. He ran his tongue back and forth as he nibbled on her and she gave in, screaming out "Yes, yes I'll marry you," as she pounded her fists into the mattress. Chase smiled, knowing he had won, and sucked her clit harder into his mouth. She tumbled over the edge, trashing her head back and forth, fisting her hands into the comforter, as she wrapped her legs around his hips and dug her heels into his thighs. Inherit My Heart Ch. 04 ^^^^^^^^^^ As Elizabeth's breathing slowed and she came down from her euphoric high, she gradually relaxed her legs and Chase was able to move up the bed and lie next to her. She was covered in a sheen of sweat as she quietly laid there, her eyes still closed. He pressed a kiss to her temple and draped his arm over her waist. Elizabeth tilted her head into his chest, and sighed, her limbs all feeling like dead weight from the combination of ecstasy and exhaustion. "Did you mean what you said earlier?" she quietly asked. "Yes, you have to marry me." "No, not that," she replied, slowly opening her eyes so they met his, "Did you mean what you said earlier about why you left the other night?" Chase removed his hand from her waist and cupped her cheek, "Every word. I know I handled it wrong. I know I shouldn't have just up and left, but I wanted you so bad, that I didn't know if I could stay there and not be with you. And, I didn't want you to wake up in the morning and regret or not remember anything because you were drunk. When I make love to you, I want you to be completely lucid and wanting me because you want me, not because you're drunk and horny. There'll be plenty of times down the road for drunk and horny," he said smiling. "Plus, you've waited this long to be with someone, to give yourself to one special person, that person should be your husband." Chase's eyes always expressed his moods, whether it be through the mischievous looks he gave her when he was busting her balls or his intelligence that shone through if they were having a serious conversation. All she saw in them at that moment was sincerity. She closed her heavy lids as she snuggled closer to him and simply said, "Okay," before fatigue took over and she dozed off. Inherit My Heart Ch. 05 Chase wasn't tired, so he just quietly lay there, holding Elizabeth, basking in the fact that this beautiful woman was going to be his wife. He smiled as he inhaled her scent, his nose in her hair. He tried to figure out what comprised the exotic florally scent, orchids maybe. Later, he counted the little band of freckles that ran across her nose, tallying thirty-seven. He wanted to memorize every curve and line of her face, to engrain it in his mind. Around 10pm, his bladder took over and he needed to get up to pee. He tried to slowly and quietly get off of the bed, not wanting to wake her, but Elizabeth stirred anyway, her eyes opening as he stood. "I was trying not to wake you; I'm just going to the bathroom." Elizabeth stretched her arms up, not realizing she was still naked under his gaze until she shifted to her side and felt a chill hit her back. Her stomach growled loudly as well, as he stood next to the bed. She blushed, "I guess I'm hungry." Chase smiled, "Actually, I kind of am too." He looked around the room and found his shirt on the floor. "Here, put this on and we'll go down to the kitchen and grab something," he said, handing it to her before going into the bathroom. Elizabeth sat up and placed the shirt over her head. Her nose caught the scent of his cologne and she brought it to her face, inhaling deeply, delighting in the woody scent that seemed to carry a citrus undertone. She stood up and stretched again. Chase came out of the bathroom and saw the grey t-shirt fall down her body, barely covering her ass cheeks as she stretched out. He stood against the doorway, "How come my t-shirts don't look that good on me?" "Jealous?" she asked, casting him a sly look. "Only of the t-shirt," he said smiling, as he walked toward her. He had palmed the ring box off the dresser as he walked past and slipped it into his pocket. He placed a light kiss to her lips, which lingered and turned into another. "C'mon," he said, grabbing her hand, "if we don't go downstairs, you're not going to get to eat." They quietly headed down to the kitchen. Elizabeth went to the fridge and pulled out a container filled with turkey that Cook had made tonight. She put some gravy in a small bowl and placed it in the microwave to warm. Then, she grabbed a loaf of bread and proceeded to make them each a sandwich. Chase sat at the butcher block counter and watched her artfully put the sandwich together, adding the perfect amount of mayo to it. She retrieved the gravy from the microwave and Chase watched with skepticism as she placed gravy on the sandwich as well, mixing it with the mayo. "That's disgusting." Elizabeth looked up at him, "No, it's quite good. Have you ever tried it?" Chase shook his head, his face scrunched up in disgust. "Well, you're going to," she said quickly, before dumping the gravy on the mayo. "Uh, you just ruined it." She placed the lid on the sandwich, "Shut up and taste it," she said, sliding the plate across the counter. Chase looked up at her, his eyebrows raised. He looked back down at the sandwich and then back to her. Elizabeth just stood there waiting for him to taste it. Finally, he lifted it off the plate and took a bite. The gravy had a bit of a lemony taste to it and perked up his taste buds. As it mixed with the mayo, the flavor shone through more and more. He slowly chewed and swallowed. "Well?" Elizabeth asked. Chase hesitated, not wanting to admit that he actually really liked it, "Okay, so it's not the worst thing I've ever eaten." "Uh-huh," she said, picking up her own sandwich and taking a bite. She moaned her approval as she walked back to the fridge and grabbed two bottles of Newcastle, sliding one across the counter to Chase. She twisted the cap off of her beer, tossing it down onto the counter, before chugging down a few mouthfuls. Chase stared at her for a moment before laughing, shaking his head, and taking another bite of his sandwich. "What?" she asked. "Nothing," he murmured his mouth full. "Something is amusing you." Chase swallowed, "You just really surprise me sometimes, I'm just not used to it yet is all, and I would have never taken you for a beer chugger. I guess it's just that I still have a lot to learn about you, that's all." "I told you I went to college, of course I can chug a beer. Why, what else would you like to know, ask away." Chase was a bit surprised; Elizabeth had told him a decent amount about herself, but had not been so forthcoming with more personal issues, as evident from her not telling him she was a virgin. He grabbed his beer, opening it, before leaning back on the high backed stool. He took a swig and eyed her up. She was opening a door and he was just trying to decide how far through it he was going to walk. "Okay, easy stuff first, when you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?" "Doctor, but I could not do the chemistry," she replied through a mouth full of sandwich. "Why'd you go to Cambridge?" "Cuz my mum went there. Dad and Uncle Edmund went to Oxford, that's where they met." "What do you mean that's where they met, weren't they brothers?" Elizabeth slowly shook her head no, "They were best friends, and they met at university. Abbey didn't tell you that." "Uh, no, I thought they were brothers." "No, Uncle Edmund was my father's nearest and dearest friend. He actually introduced my parents to one another. Neither of my parents had any siblings and both were very close to him. So, when they passed, it was in their will for him to raise me. That's why technically I have no claim to the estate; I'm not a royal in any way." "So then we're not cousins or whatever?" "No, silly, he wasn't that twisted to make me marry my cousin. This isn't the 1700s, Chase. I cannot believe Abbey failed to tell you this." "Yeah I can't believe it either; I thought you were my cousin." "No, that would be a tad uncomfortable." Chase took another swig of his beer, trying to digest this new information. "So, then did he adopt you, cuz I mean you're an Ashley?" "Uh-uh, that's just mere coincidence. Ashley is not a super uncommon last name. I mean, it's no Smith, but it's not exactly obscure." She took another bite of her sandwich, "I can't believe you thought you were here to marry your cousin and you stayed, that's a little odd." Chase narrowed his eyes at her for that last comment and decided to turn it up a notch, changing the subject dramatically "So you're first kiss was when?" he asked, leaning back on the counter. "College-my first year." "Seriously?" She slowly nodded, "I had tutors here at the castle until I went to Cambridge." "Humph," he said taking the last bite of his sandwich. "Why—how old were you?" Chase finished chewing and swallowed before he answered her, "Six." "Six!" she yelled, her voice echoing off the metal pans hanging above them. "You were six?" Chase smiled, "Yup, Kristen Ferguson out on the playground at school. She kissed me." He tilted his head in reflection, "I wonder what she's up to these days; she was hot for six." Elizabeth threw her napkin at him, "Pig. No more sandwiches for you," she said gathering their plates and placing them in the sink. Chase chuckled and took another pull from his beer. "So, you rode horses and played sports and stuff, right?" Elizabeth turned and gazed at him, wondering how he went from first kisses to horses, "Yeah…" "Well, I thought if girls played sports and stuff, normally their hymens broke, but yours isn't broken." Now the question made a bit more sense, "So?" "I don't know, I guess I just thought it was weird." "Okay, I never really thought about it or paid that much attention to it," she said, as she began to load the dishwasher. Time to go for broke, Chase thought; he was curious to know how much experience she actually had. "So, you were in college before you got your first kiss and you are a virgin, so then what else did you do while you were in college?" Elizabeth turned to him, her face flushed because she was beginning to feel like she was being interrogated. "You mean, did I go around just wanking people off because I was a tease?" "That's not what I said-" Elizabeth cut him off, anger rising in her voice, "No, but you want to know how experienced I am-if I will be able to satisfy you, right? Chase went around the counter and grabbed her by the arms, crushing them between their chests and pressing her back into the counter, "Will you stop? It was just a question. You told me to ask away, so I was. Stop freaking out on me every time something comes up that you are insecure about. You know that I wouldn't be here if I didn't want to be. I'm not here for just sex." Elizabeth opened her mouth to say something and then paused. She looked down at her hands. "I'm sorry, you're right," she said quietly. "I have always been insecure around men. Normally when most found out that I wasn't going to sleep with them, I never saw them again. The two boyfriends I had got tired of me closing myself off to them in that arena." Two boyfriends, Chase thought. He began getting visions in his head of Elizabeth with these two faceless men, jerking them off or blowing them. His stomach tightened from his jealousy, jealousy which was pretty much unfounded considering the countless women Chase had been with. He suddenly felt like he was going to be sick. "Don't tell me," he blurted out. Elizabeth looked up at him, "But, I thought-" "No, I don't want to know, I don't want to think about you with other men. If I know details, I'll never get it out of my head. I know that's probably not fair, considering my past, but I just don't wanna know. All that matters is me and you, here and now." He leaned down and possessively took control of her mouth, proving to them both that she was his. He deepened the kiss and Elizabeth splayed her fingers against his bare chest, trying to hold onto him. He let go of her arms and she wound them around his neck. He slid his hands down her slides and around to cup her ass and pull her closer into him. The tips of his fingers brushed her bare cheeks, peeking out from under his shirt. She moaned into his mouth and he wanted nothing more at that moment than to throw her up on the counter and pound into her. He broke the kiss, using every bit of resolve that he had to keep her virtue intact. "God," he groaned, reaching up and taking one of her arms from around his neck, "Don't ever be insecure about what I feel for you, how much I want you," he said, placing his hand over hers on the bulge in his jeans. Elizabeth jumped when she touched him, but slowly let her hand rest on the bulge. Chase leaned down, taking control of her lips again. Her thoughts clouded as their tongues battled back and forth. Elizabeth began instinctively rubbing her hand over the bulge in Chase's pants and he groaned into her mouth. "Stop that," he said against her mouth, "If you don't I'm gonna throw you up on the counter and have my way with you, and I told you I don't want to until we're married." "I never said I was going to marry you," she replied breathless back to him. Chase pulled back from her, his eyes questioning her words, "What do you mean-you said upstairs- A-are you fucking with me?" He pulled away from her and ran his hand through his hair. "No I am not fucking with you. I never said it because you never asked me properly. Relax, jeez, and you say I am the insecure one." "What are you talking about? I asked you when I gave you the ring in your room." "No, you asked me to give you a chance. You never actually proposed to me." Chase figured out where she was going with this, "Well, you flipped out on me, so I never got around to it." He pulled the ring out of his pocket and opened the box. "Are you just carrying that around with you?" "No, I intended on doing this, but since you jumped the gun, I guess I'm going to do it now." Chase removed the ring from the box and got down on one knee in the middle of the kitchen. He looked up at Elizabeth and their eyes locked. He took her hand in his and began, "You were the last thing I expected when I came to England. Now that I have you in my life, I can't imagine it without you. Elizabeth Leanne Ashley, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife, my life partner, and mother of my children?" Elizabeth stared down at Chase, his smile gleaming up at her as he spoke those words. She closed her eyes to keep the tears that were forming from escaping. She quickly nodded her head and whispered, "Yes." Chase slipped the ring on her finger and stood. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and they stood in the kitchen like that for several moments. He placed a kiss to her forehead, "C'mon, let's go to bed." Chase led her back up the long staircase and down the even longer corridor to her bedroom. Elizabeth slid into bed as he slipped his jeans off and threw them over her chaise. He crawled into her bed next to her, wearing his boxers as opposed to the nudeness he normally slept in, and she curled up into his warmth, placing her hand on his chest and her head on his shoulder. Chase sighed contentedly and pulled Elizabeth closer to him. He leaned his head into hers and they both fell into a deep sleep. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Elizabeth woke first as the morning light slowly ran over the bed. She needed to use the bathroom and careful slipped out of Chase's grasp so that she did not wake him. When she returned, he had sprawled out across the bed, the blanket falling past his waist. She stood against the doorframe, admiring his form. She bit her lip as a devilish idea crossed her mind. Elizabeth slowly crept towards the bed and gently sat down, using caution so that Chase would not wake and her plan would not be ruined. She gently slid over until she was sitting next to his waist. The bulge in his shorts was tented upwards as she delicately undid the button holding them closed. The material fell to the sides as his cock was exposed to her for the first time. She sucked in her breath, her heart pounding in her ears, as she gently ran a shaking finger across the spongy head and down his length. Chase shifted his hips under her touch and she quickly looked up at his face, seeing his eyes still closed. Elizabeth wrapped her diminutive hand around his cock and gave him a soft squeeze as she began running her palm up his length. She repeated the motion several times, slowly coaxing his cock to life and gaining confidence with each stroke. Clear liquid began to seep from the tip and she bent down to have her first taste of him, of any man. Elizabeth leisurely ran her tongue across his head, the fluid coating her tongue. His taste was salty and musky-manly. Elizabeth bent her head down again and tenderly took the tip of his cock in her mouth bathing it in her saliva. She applied a bit of suction pressure as she watched Chase's face, and coolly slid her lips down his shaft, taking more of him in her mouth. Chase's subconscious woke him as he felt the warm mouth on his cock. He thought he was dreaming until he felt lips sliding down his shaft and hair tickling his thigh. He lazily opened his eyes, allowing them to adjust to the light as he looked down and saw Elizabeth staring up at him, her lips enveloping his cock. Her eyes remained locked with his as she slid her lips up his cock and ran her tongue up the underside of his dick. He groaned and lifted his hips up towards her lips, trying to keep his dick in the warmth of her mouth as she let go of him with a pop. "Good morning," she said smiling impishly. "You can say that again," he replied, his voice throaty from sleep. She lowered her head again and took him in her mouth, a bit deeper this time. She didn't want to go too deep because she was afraid she would gag on his impressive length. She took her hand and slowly stroked up and down the rest of his shaft, fully encompassing him. Chase moaned and lifted his hips on reflex, trying to get more of him in her mouth, but finding himself unable. "Oh baby, that feels so good," he muttered, his head thrown back on the pillow. Elizabeth took his encouragement and sucked a bit harder, making him moan again. He pulled the hair that was falling in front of her face back, so his view of her sucking his dick was unimpeded. The sight of what she was doing to him, the arousal her felt from just watching her, almost made him come undone. Chase's eyes were clouded over with lust as he watched her. His left hand came up to caress her back as she continued sucking him. His hand slowly made its way down to the curve of her bare ass. He gently kneaded her cheek. Elizabeth pulled off of him and leaned back. "If you don't stop that, I'm not going to do this anymore." "But," Chase started. "No buts," Elizabeth retorted, taking Chase's hand and placing it back at his side. Her face turned very serious, "Please, let me do this." Chase just nodded. The fact that she wanted to please him turned him on even more. Elizabeth pushed his legs apart and climbed in between them. She stripped herself of Chase's t-shirt, deliberately taking her time, making her best effort to rouse Chase in the same manner he had her the night before. The cool morning air assaulted her nipples, turning them a dusky rose color that was an ardent contrast to her pale complexion as they stiffened. Chase's breathing became shallow and unsteady as he watched Elizabeth, mesmerized. She leaned up over his body and placed a light kiss on his lips, gently biting his bottom lip as she pulled away. Elizabeth then trailed a light line of kisses down his chest and abdomen, his muscles tightening under her soft touch, her warm breath hitting his flesh. Chase balled his hands into fists at his sides. His cock grazed her belly and then her breasts as she made her way down his body. "God baby, I want to touch you so bad. You're killing me here." Elizabeth glanced up at him and smiled, her face full of satisfaction and mischief. She then quickly dipped her head back down and took him in her mouth once again, her hand coming around to grasp the base of his shaft. Chase gasped-the only sound he could make because his mouth had gone dry. Elizabeth bobbed up and down, her lips forming a vacuum on Chase's cock. She alternated fast and slow as she drove him closer to the edge. Her hand found his balls and slowly fondled them through his shorts. Chase felt his semen moving through his body, his orgasm rapidly approaching. He weakly tried to push Elizabeth off of him, croaking out, "Stop baby, I'm going to cum." But Elizabeth did not relent. She began sucking him off with more vigor, wanting to taste his pleasure. She felt his balls tighten in her hand and then his cock moved on its own volition in her mouth. Chase grunted and began emptying himself in her warm mouth. He clawed at the bed and squeezed his eyes closed, white flashes of light erupting before him as his orgasm ripped through his entire body. He felt every muscle in his body tense as he experienced the most intense orgasm of his life. Elizabeth took most of his load, only a few drops escaping from her lips. She swallowed the thick mixture as she wiped the excess from her chin. Her lips were numb from the friction of his cock against them and her jaw sore, but she was able to bring Chase pleasure and she enjoyed the fact that she could have control of his body. She rose up to lay next to him, her head on his chest, as she snuggled into him. Chase was still trying to get his breathing back to normal. His arms felt like dead weight, but he was able to sling them around Elizabeth's lithe body. "You are amazing. That was absolutely incredible." Elizabeth knew he enjoyed it, an obvious result of his ejaculation, but incredible? "Really?" she asked, lifting her head off his chest to look at him. Inherit My Heart Ch. 05 Chase opened his eyes and looked down at her, "You have no idea." Chase gently kissed her and lay back down on the pillow. "I guess all those years of reading Cosmo paid off." They both laughed. Elizabeth lay back down on his chest, her hand gently stroking his stomach. Chase was silent for several moments before he finally spoke. "You didn't have to do that you know. I mean, I didn't expect that because I went down on you last night that I expected you to do it to me or that you owed me." Elizabeth lifted her head again, "I know Chase. I did it because I wanted to," she said smiling up at him and he could tell that she meant it-she really wanted to be there with him. "I'm glad you did. And feel free to do it whenever you want because it really was incredible." Elizabeth smacked his stomach and he grunted. He pulled her on top of him, her breasts rubbing across his chest. Chase cupped her face and kissed her tenderly at first, but with more passion as Elizabeth returned his kiss. Chase felt himself growing hard again. He wanted her right then and there, but knew he made a promise. He broke the kiss, both of them breathless. "Do you have a passport?" "Why are you asking me this now?" "Do you?" "Yeah." Chase kissed her again and slid out from underneath her, standing up from the bed. "Go pack." "What?" Elizabeth was shocked by this turn of developments. "I said go get packed. We're going to go get married." Elizabeth sat up, "Chase what are you talking about? Where are we going?" Chase grabbed her hands and pulled her off the bed and into him. He placed another kiss on her lips, "Vegas baby!" * Sorry this chapter took a bit longer to get out. I got tied up with the holidays and my husband was home from before Xmas through New Years, and I can't write when he's around. Thanks as always to Michchick98 for her valuable assistance and feedback. Best of luck to everyone in the New Year, and keep reading and voting! Inherit My Heart Ch. 06 "Las Vegas?" Chase nodded and smiled. "Chase, are you out of your mind?" Chase just shook his head and kept smiling. Elizabeth had to laugh at him-he looked like a kid on Christmas Day. "Isn't that cheeky?" "No it's not cheeky. Yeah, if you go get married at one of those drive-thru chapels maybe, but not what I have in mind." "Drive-thru chapels?" Elizabeth repeated back very slowly, looking at him a bit scared. Since her parent's passing, she had never really had the childhood dreams that most girls have, conjuring up dresses and flowers. She didn't really care where or how they got married and was really more worried about Chase's reputation. She didn't want the media to view him as the crazy male version of Britney Spears-another American who had gone cuckoo and got married to someone he barely knew in Vegas. "Trust me babe, I've got it covered and it won't be cheeky or chinsy or any of those other corny adjectives you can think up, okay?" Elizabeth nodded. She trusted his judgment. His career was important to him and he was much more adept with dealing with the paparazzi than she could ever hope to be, so if he was confident about Vegas, then she would be too. "Okay, get packed then. I need to make some phone calls and get my shit together, and you don't need to pack a lot-I don't intend for you to be wearing clothes a lot," Chase winked at her and kissed her once more before he grabbed his jeans and went back to his room through the bathroom. Elizabeth stood there for a minute, taking time to absorb everything that had happened over the past two weeks. She stared down at her ring. I'm marrying Chase Barrett. Holy bollocks, she thought. She smiled and spun around in her room a couple of times before getting her suitcase out of the closet. ^^^^^^^ Chase called his manager and told him of the arrangements he needed him to make. Larry didn't know if he would be able to pull it off on such short notice, but Chase told him to do whatever was necessary-no expense spared. He then called the airline himself to save time and was able to get them out on a 2pm flight. They were to have a brief stopover at JFK and between the fourteen plus hours in the air and the time change, they would get into Vegas a little after 10pm local time. It was 9am now, so he had time for a quick shower and some cereal before they had to leave for Heathrow. He heard the water in the shower turn on and was extremely tempted to climb in with Elizabeth but he knew if he got in, they would never get to the airport on time. Instead, he went downstairs and ate real quick, taking a few moments to make Cook blush. Larry had also called him back and told him that everything he asked for was taken care of. He thanked him and told him he's see him in a couple of weeks. When he came back upstairs, the water was off, so he opened the bathroom door. Elizabeth was wearing a terrycloth robe and had her hair wrapped up in a towel, as she brushed her teeth. Even covered practically head to toe, Chase thought she looked sexy and wanted to ravish her. He walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder as he stared at their reflection in the mirror. Elizabeth put the toothbrush down as she finished and leaned back into Chase's embrace. "Everything's all set," he told her, running his hands over her abdomen. "Is there anything I can do?" she asked. "Yeah," he said before Chase removed the towel from her head, freeing her wet locks. He gathered them in his left hand and took a huge whiff of the tresses, inhaling the scent of her shampoo that he found to be utterly intoxicating. "Don't ever stop using this shampoo," he told her before running his lips over the side of her neck. Elizabeth started to laugh but then felt his lips slowly creeping over her neck and her laughter turned into a moan. The hand that he had on her waist slid up her robe, over her left breast, and into the top of her robe. Chase's fingers found her left nipple and he began rolling the hard nub in between his thumb and forefinger. Elizabeth gasped and clutched the edge of the vanity to steady herself. Chase manipulated her body with ease, sending waves of pleasure down to her toes. He used his other hand to untie and open her robe, before placing it on her stomach. He slowly ran his hand down her frame, stopping when he reached her clit. He used his forefinger to make light circles over the nub, increasing the pressure every so often before lightening it again. "Oh Chase, don't stop!" Chase increased the pressure on her clit again, assaulting the nub. "That's it baby, cum for me," he whispered into her ear before he bit down on her lobe and simultaneously tweaked her nipple hard. Elizabeth cried out and her knees gave way as Chase labored to hold her writhing body against him. Chase held her against him until her breathing slowed and he was confident that she could stand on her own. He knotted her robe quickly before he released her and turned to start the shower. Elizabeth turned to face him and leaned back against the vanity, her face flushed and eyes sated. She watched as he undressed; his manhood stood out as he shucked his jeans off. She eyed him up, counting the time until she would be able to feel him inside of her. Chase looked at her. She was just standing there, seemingly staring off into space. He waved his hand in front of her, "Babe, you okay?" "Hmm, yes I'm fine." Chase shrugged and entered the shower, closing the glass door behind him. He placed his head under the hot stream and closed his eyes as the water cascaded down his body. He quickly rinsed his hair, trying to make up for the time he just spent pleasuring Elizabeth. He felt a cool breeze as he lathered his locks, but never heard the door open, so thought nothing of it. He rinsed the shampoo away and was about to turn around when arms wrapped around his chiseled chest and abs and breasts pressed into his back. Chase smiled as her soapy hands began to wash his body, slipping down to his still hard cock. She lathered him and used the slickness of the soap to quickly stroke him. Chase placed his hands on the shower wall and hung his head forward, his wet hair hanging into his face. Elizabeth ran one hand around his back and squeezed his ass and muscled back as she continued to fondle him. She sped up her motions once more and Chase groaned as his balls tightened. He squeezed his eyes shut and he shot his load onto the shower floor. Elizabeth slowed her motions and placed a light kiss to his back. She then gently pushed him out of the way so she could rinse herself off and exited the shower just as silently as she had entered. Chase turned to lean against the wall in time to see her pick her robe up off the floor and retie it. She then soundlessly went to her bedroom. Chase shook his head and smiled; in the short time he had known her, this girl never ceased to amaze him. He quickly dressed and threw his stuff in his luggage, trying to make up for the time he spent in the bathroom with his fiancée. He smiled, liking the way "fiancée" sounded in his head. But, she would only be his fiancée for another day and a half and then she would be his wife. He never imagined two weeks ago that he would be getting married tomorrow, but he was satisfied with his decision. Elizabeth lit up his world, she made him happy, and he knew she would make a good wife and mother. As he thought about her, she popped her head in his room quickly to tell him that the car was there, and disappeared just as fast as she had appeared. He grabbed his bags and made his way downstairs. Elizabeth was already outside, smiling and waiting for him. The driver helped him put his bags in the trunk and he got in the car. As he slid across the seat, he smiled at her. "Come here you," he said reaching for her hand and pulling her into him. He placed a kiss to her lips and then her palm before he laid her across his lap. Chase brushed the stray hairs from her ponytail out of her face, as he traced the contours of her features with his fingertips. Elizabeth snuggled into him and relaxed under his touch, falling asleep for the duration of the car ride to the airport. ^^^^^^^^^^ While they waited to board the plane, a few fans recognized Chase and he graciously signed autographs and took pictures with them. Elizabeth watched as he acted like Chase to these people, not some unattainable celebrity whom they admired. He was himself; laughing and smiling as he took a genuine interest in these strangers. He was also providing her with the distraction that she so terribly needed at the moment. As their departure time crept closer and closer, her nerves became more frazzled. She had yet to tell him that she was afraid to fly. She had been on planes before, but never for as long of a trip as they had ahead of them, and not in awhile either. Chase said goodbye to his last fan and returned to his seat next to her. Her face was paler than normal, and he was afraid that she was having doubts about the wedding. He reached for her hand, which was clammy, and became a tad more worried. "What's wrong," he asked quietly. Elizabeth sat forward in the chair and stared at the floor, "I probably should have told you this sooner, but I'm afraid to fly. And, when I say afraid, I really mean terrified," she said, taking a deep breath. He rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb and she smiled, finding the small gesture soothing. He reached into his pocket with his other hand and pulled out a bottle. "I'm not really a fan of flying either, even though I do it all the time, which is why I take these," he said, handing her the bottle. Xanax, she read off the bottle. "Chase, I am not going to take any medication that is going to make me loopy." "It won't, trust me," he assured her, giving her hand a light squeeze. "Here," he took the bottle from her and opened it, "Just take one. The dosage is minimal and if you need more, then we'll go from there. I'm gonna take mine too now, okay." He held the tiny white pill out in his hand for her. Elizabeth looked at him and reluctantly took the pill. He took his pill and chased it with a swig of water before handing the bottle off to her. Reluctantly she took the bottle and took a deep breath. She hated to take any kind of medication, even Midol. She took a pull from the bottle and popped the small pill between her lips, before throwing her head back and swallowing. "There. Now, it won't stop the visions of plummeting to your death, but it will take the edge off." Elizabeth smacked him. "No talk of plummeting before we get on the plane." Chase laughed and wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close. "Don't worry baby, everything is going to be fine." He placed a kiss to her temple and breathed in her scent. God, he couldn't wait until they were married and he could have her. The anticipation was beginning to kill him, as he felt his jeans tighten at his crotch. A voice came over the loudspeaker announcing the boarding of their flight. He looked at Elizabeth. "Ready?" "Not really but what choice do I have." Chase laughed, "You don't have one. You're getting on that plane because you're not getting out of marrying me." She shot him a sarcastic look as she stood. "You know that's not the reason." "I know," he said, bending down to place a light kiss to her lips, "But it's still nice to hear." Chase took her hand and they walked to the counter, handing their tickets to the agent. They boarded the plane and took their seats in first class. Chase took the window seat, because Elizabeth wanted no part of it, even though the xanax was starting to kick in and she was becoming increasingly relaxed. As the plane began to make its way down the runway, Elizabeth tensed and grabbed Chase's hand. He stroked this thumb across the back of hers, knowing it soothed her, and turned her chin towards his him, kissing her deeply, and distracting her from the takeoff. She returned the kiss ardently as the plane ascended into the sky, forgetting all about her fear. Chase slowly broke the kiss, placing quick kisses to her nose and forehead, before pulling back and looking into her heavy lidded eyes. "See, that wasn't so bad now, was it?" Elizabeth smiled and placed her hand to his cheek, "Well, when you do that, flying is not so beastly." Chase laughed and turned his head into her palm, gently biting the fleshy part of her hand. "Beastly, huh?" he said laughing again. "Am I supposed to talk like you? Your American slang has botched the English language-gonna, c'mon, gotta? You shorten everything, making it sound piss poor." "Do I now?" Chase responded with a horrible English accent. "Oh piss off," she laughed. "Pretty soon you'll be shortening my name." "Actually, about that. It takes way too long to say Elizabeth. I mean its four syllables. And Elizabeth Barrett sounds so formal." Elizabeth looked at him incredulously, "Are you seriously trying to change my name Chase?" "No honey, I love your name." Chase leaned in to her and lowered his voice to a whisper, his breath in her ear. "But, when we're in the throes of passion, breathless and our minds are cloudy, Elizabeth is a mouthful. I want to scream your name when I come, not call you baby or honey or something generic." His breath on her ear had shivers running through her body. He had a power over her and could get her to do pretty much anything he wanted when he talked to her like that. "Well, what did you have in mind?" "Well, we've already established that Lizzy's out-you almost killed me when I called you that." "Yes I did." "Well then there's Beth, Eliza, Liz, Liza, or we could combine your middle name into it and call you Bethann." "Bethann? No. I only like Liz or Beth and Beth Barrett sounds so…so. Well, to be honest, it sounds like the name of a porn star." "Porn star?" "Well, yes. I guess Liz Barrett sounds a bit more distinguished, although it does not have the same ring that Elizabeth does." "So, I can call you Liz and you're not gonna get mad at me." The flight attendant interrupted their conversation to ask them if they cared for a beverage. Chase asked for a coffee and Elizabeth a bottle of water. The flight attendant recognized Chase and was trying to give him fuck me eyes when Elizabeth caught her and cleared her throat. She handed him his coffee and turned to the passengers on the other side of the plane. Chase chuckled. Elizabeth turned to him, glaring, and discreetly lowered her voice. "That was not funny. That was rude. I am sitting right here next to you." "Honey, don't worry about it. I only have fuck me eyes for you," he said laughing, and leaning in to kiss her. "I told you, not funny," she said, swiping him away and leaning back against the seat. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before beginning. "I know women throw themselves at you all the time because of who you are. I know that and I know I have to deal with it. But, it's another thing to see a blatant display of it right in front of your face." Chase saw the seriousness written across her face and saw this was obviously something that troubled her. Unfortunately, the fuck me eyes the flight attendant gave him were the tip of the iceberg as far as the ways women tried to get with him. Most were much more forward than that. "Elizabeth, look at me." She turned her head and slowly opened her eyes, trying to keep the tears that were forming from falling. He leaned forward and cupped her face in his hands. "I'm not going anywhere and I'm certainly not looking to bang some chick I don't know. Because of who I am this happens all the time, but they don't want to be with me. They just want to say that they slept with a rock star. And, yeah, in the past, I've taken advantage of that. But, they didn't know me and I didn't know them, not the way I know you and the way you know me. . I want to be with you and only you. I know it's hard for you, but you have to trust me. Okay?" Elizabeth slowly nodded her head and he gently kissed her to reassure her of his feelings. He pushed the arms of their seats up and pulled her across the seat. She put her feet up on the edge and lay across him. "I get it, believe me I get it. When we were in London, I wanted to kill every man that looked at you," he said, brushing her hair back, and wrapping his arm around her waist. He had told her that when they were in London, but the fact that he brought it up again brought a smile to her face. She snuggled into him, and closed her eyes, the xanax affecting her as she drifted off into sleep. Chase dozed on and off as the flight progressed across the Atlantic. Elizabeth stayed asleep until the pilot came over and told them they would begin their descent. Chase woke her, so they could put their seats back in their upright position and so she could see the New York City skyline as they approached JFK. Elizabeth could see the outline of Manhattan, the Empire State Building off in the distance as they approached. "Wow," as all she could say as she leaned over Chase, mesmerized. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" Elizabeth nodded. "It's not the same though. Since 9/11, every time I look at the skyline, there's a big gaping hole where the towers were." "Were you in the city on 9/11?" she asked. Chase nodded. "I was home, getting ready to go into the studio. My apartment overlooks Central Park, so I couldn't see the towers fall from where I was. I had a couple of friends who were firefighters though who were there and didn't make it," he said as he turned away from her to look out the window, the emotion of that day still affecting him. Elizabeth squeezed his hand, as they remained wordless for the rest of the descent. After they had touched down, Chase retrieved their carry-on bags and pulled a Yankees cap from his, which he pulled down low over his face. Elizabeth looked at him curiously. "Paparazzi," he replied, knowing she was wondering why he was suddenly donning a baseball cap, since she had yet to see him wear one. "In the states, the paparazzi are relentless, it's not like it is in the U.K., I don't have the freedom to wander around the airport and not be hounded, and I really don't think you're ready to deal with all that." "No, not really," she confessed. "I mean, they are going to want to know who I am, and I really don't want to try to explain it right now." "No, it'll be all over the internet before we even get to Vegas, and I really don't want wedding crashers." They exited the plane and went through customs before quickly grabbing something to eat in the terminal. Luckily, they only had about an hour layover before their flight to Vegas and got to the gate as the flight began boarding. They boarded the new plane and went through the same procedure they had the first time-Chase kissed her to distract her from the takeoff, but this time, she wanted to view the skyline as they ascended into the sky. She had a better view of the skyline as they flew over New Jersey and Chase pointed out exactly where the Trade Center had been. They both stayed awake for this flight. Wild Hogs was the movie the airline showed, and they laughed heartily at the comedy. The plane hit some turbulence over the Rocky Mountains and Elizabeth tensed. Chase grabbed her hand and reassured her that it was normal. Once she calmed, she brought up the nickname thing again. "So, if you get to call me Liz, do I get to shorten your name? Can I call you Cha or maybe just Ch?" she asked laughing. "Actually, not many people know this-pretty much just my family and Larry, but Chase isn't my first name. It's a nickname." "Belt up!" Chase looked at her, "Belt up, what the hell does that mean?" Inherit My Heart Ch. 06 "Sorry, shut up I guess you would say." "Oh, okay. No, I'm serious. My first name is Chasin, not Chase." "No it's not." "Uh, unfortunately it is. I had it legally changed, but it is. I'll show you my birth certificate when we go back to New York, so Chase is it." "Chasin," she said, contemplating the name, wanting to bust his chops some more. "I like it, can I call you it?" "Not if you expect me to answer," Chase said and they both laughed. She began to tire as they approached Vegas, the time change affecting her, even with the sleep she had on the first flight. It was about 10pm local time, so it was 5am in England. She perked up though as they descended into Vegas and the spectacular skyline came into view, lit up in all its neon glory. Elizabeth's eyes almost bugged out of her head and she made Chase switch seats with her so she could have an unimpeded view. "This is amazing," she said in awe, her face practically plastered against the window. Chase smiled behind her back, knowing the plans he had made, and knowing that she would truly enjoy and appreciate them. As the plane lowered into McCarran International, she turned back to Chase, saddened because she could no longer see the bright lights. "Don't worry, you'll get to see plenty of it," he told her. They deboarded and retrieved their bags. A man held a sign that read Wayne. Chase approached the man who was their driver and he collected their bags. "Why did that sign say Wayne?" Elizabeth asked. "Bruce Wayne is the alias I use when I travel and check into hotels. That way, it makes it harder for the paparazzi to find me." "Oh," she said, "But, who is Bruce Wayne? Is he someone you know?" Chase laughed, "No it was Batman's name." Elizabeth looked at him like she had no idea what he was talking about. "You do know who Batman is, don't you?" Elizabeth slowly shook her head no. "Seriously?" Chase asked. "I have no idea what you are talking about," she affirmed. "Man, I have a lot to teach you then. I am a huge Batman fan." The driver called for them and they got in the limo. Elizabeth marveled at the sights as they traveled up the strip. They turned off and headed to Rio, a property that was located about two blocks off the strip, but one that Chase favored for its Mardi Gras themed atmosphere. Chase checked them in under his alias and they made their way to the elevators. Elizabeth heard the sounds of the slot machines in the distance and looked every direction she could, trying to take in as much of the sight as humanly possible. They entered the elevators and all the noise from the casino floor was silenced. "Chase, this is marvelous," she exclaimed as she threw her arms around his neck. "I'm glad you like it honey," he said, rubbing his hands up and down her back, holding her close to him as he breathed in her scent. He closed his eyes as he held her, the trip finally beginning to take its toll on him. The elevator stopped as they reached the forty-ninth floor, the penthouse. The doors opened to their room and Elizabeth turned and gasped. Floor to ceiling windows surrounded the room giving her a clear view of the Vegas skyline. She ran across the marble floor of the suite to the windows. "Oh Chase, this is too much!" He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, "Like it?" She turned around in his arms, "Like it? Like it? Chase, this is amazing. It's too much!" "It's not too much," he said. "I am fortunate that I can travel like this and do these types of things that I know you'll enjoy." Elizabeth smiled up at him, "Thank you," she said before leaning in to kiss him, not a kiss of passion, but of appreciation. "Come on, let me show you the rest of the room," he said, grabbing her hand and pulling her across the floor. They walked into the bedroom, located in the back corner of the suite, giving them a view of the Palms Hotel and the mountains in the background. He then led her into the master bathroom, which had windows as well. From there they could see the South end of the strip; The Luxor and Mandalay Bay off in the distance. The bath had both a shower and a large jetted Jacuzzi tub. As they continued to explore the suite, fatigue was starting to set in for both of them. Chase finally broke down, "Okay, bedtime. We've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow." He led her to the bedroom once again. "Are you going to tell me what the plans are for tomorrow?" she asked as they entered the room. "Nope, you'll just have to wait and see," he said with a tired smirk. Had she had more energy, the idea of teasing Chase until he told her crossed her mind, but she just let it be. She lay down on the bed as Chase pulled his shirt over his head. His hands went to his waist and undid the button of his jeans as he briefly made eye contact with her. He stopped when he saw the hungry look in her eyes and groaned. "Don't look at me like that." His words pulled her out of her trance, "Like what?" "That, like that," he said as he began to fluster. "I'm trying to be a gentleman and do this marriage and sex thing right, but when you look at me like that, I just want to rip your clothes off and make love to you." Elizabeth bit her lip and teased him, "Well, no one's stopping you," she said, stretching her arms up over her head and arching her back up off the bed. Chase shook his head to try to clear it. "I can't do this," he said, buttoning the button on his jeans. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry" she said, sitting up and crawling towards the end of the bed where he stood. "I know you are doing this for me. I will be on my best behavior. No more teasing." "Promise?" "Yes, I promise. Let's do this…we'll get undressed under the covers, so that neither of us sees the other one and there's no temptation." "What are we, 12?" "No, but I am trying to find a solution to this dilemma." "Fine," Chase said as they pulled down the covers and got in bed. There was a great deal of rustling and movement as articles of clothing slowly made their way out from under the blankets. "Are you taking off your boxers?" "Well, I hate sleeping in them, but it depends on if someone will be able to control herself," he retorted. "Me? You were the one who wanted to rip my clothes off!" "I always want to rip your clothes off, but I can control myself." "Ha!" she replied. "Okay, we'll see about that," she said, sliding her bra and panties off and letting them fall from her hand to the floor. Elizabeth rolled on her side, facing him, and scooted towards him. "What are you doing?" he asked, "You promised to behave yourself." "I am behaving myself, but I want you to hold me." Chase stretched his arm out to her and she slide in next to him, her head on his shoulder and hand across his chest. Her breasts rested against his side. Chase brought his arm up and gently stroked her hair, lulling her to sleep. Once she dozed off, he too closed his eyes and fell asleep. * This piece is already twice as long as anything else I've written and we're nowhere near done yet. I hope you're enjoying reading it as much as I am writing it. Thanks for reading as always. Don't forget to vote! Inherit My Heart Ch. 07 Chase woke around 7am, Elizabeth wrapped in his arms, her back to him. His dick was hard and nestled between her warm thighs. He could feel her wet heat on his cock. It would be so easy to slide into her and make love to her, but he needed to wait. Only a few more hours and she would be his wife and then he could make love to her whenever he wanted. For now, he used every fiber of resolve he had to just hold her. His arm was heavy under her weight and he tried to shift it without waking her. She felt his movement though and turned into him, her face now buried in his chest. Her leg moved over his thigh, placing his cock directly at her entrance. He groaned and squeezed his eyes shut before pulling his hips back so that there was some distance between them. Elizabeth snuggled into him for a second time, once again moving herself closer to him. He thought her movements to be suspicious. She's got to be awake and just trying to fuck with me, he thought. Deciding to play back, he moved his hips forward, gliding the tip of his cock across her lips, being very careful not to penetrate her. Chase could feel her breathing hitch and her eyelashes flutter against his chest and he knew she was awake. He ran his hand up her side and moved it to her breast, kneading it before subtly running his palm over her nipple. Elizabeth shivered under his touch and could no longer pretend to be asleep. She wrapped her arm around his back and began kissing his chest, running her mouth up towards his neck. Chase lifted her chin and took possession of her mouth, rolling onto his back and pulling her on top of him as he deepened the kiss. He ran his fingertips up and down her back and Elizabeth trembled from the chills he was sending throughout her body, her nipples hardening into his chest. Chase rolled her onto her back and moved over her, slowly breaking the kiss. "Morning," he whispered, looking into her eyes. "Good morning," she replied, lifting her head up off the pillow to kiss him once again. Chase brushed her hair back out of her face. "Did you sleep well?" he asked. She smiled up at him, "Never better." He continued playing with the lock of hair he had in his hand. "Do you know that you get more beautiful every day?" "Chase-" "I'm serious," he said, looking deep into her eyes. "I watched you sleep yesterday on the plane. You were so peaceful and I was content just to hold you and look at you. But, you're more beautiful this morning, and as much as I want to make love to you right now, I'm happy just to have you in my arms-to sleep with you and hold you all night long." Elizabeth's eyes began to well up, her nose twitched as she tried to keep the tears in. She blinked and one fell down her right cheek. Chase wiped it away before he said one final thing. "Just so you know," he paused before continuing, "You are the only woman I have ever just slept with and held all night long." Elizabeth smiled through her tears before pulling him down to her and wrapping her arms around his neck. She held onto him, wanting to stay in bed together, forever. Chase pulled back and rested his forehead on hers, wiping away her tears once again. He cupped her face in his hands and placed a light kiss to her lips. "As much as I want to stay here with you all day, we're getting married today and have a lot to do. Why don't you order breakfast while I go take a shower?" Elizabeth slowly nodded, not sure if she could find her voice right now if she tried. Chase smiled and kissed her once again before he got up and made his way to the bathroom. As she watched him walk away, the realization hit her: She was getting married tonight…to a man she had fallen deeply in love with. ^^^^^^^^^^ After they dressed and ate, Chase and Elizabeth headed down to the Forum Shops at Caesars. Chase held the door for her as she walked in, and she stopped dead in her tracks, taken aback by the sight before her. The ceiling was done up like the sky, filled with clouds, giving an appearance that one is really outdoors. Shops lined each side, complete with lanterns hanging from their exteriors. The way the floor was tiled even looked like she was standing on a road, in the midst of an outdoor market. Chase placed his hand at the small of her back, leading her into the mall and away from the door, so that other patrons could enter. Elizabeth beamed up at him, "This is so neat." "You think this is cool…wait 'til we start buying stuff, then it's really cool," Chase replied, smiling back at her. "C'mon," he said, grabbing her by the hand. First, they went to look at wedding bands. Chase didn't pick out Elizabeth's band when he bought the ring because he wanted her to choose it. They browsed the selections at Tiffany and De Beers before finally finding a band she liked at Harry Winston. The ring resembled an eternity band, except the row of princess cut stones only went about half way around. The princess cut stones were the closest thing they had found to match the emerald cuts in her engagement ring, and with its matching platinum setting, it accented the ring nicely. It also added another carat to the three that were already in her engagement ring, the sparkle that was coming off her finger could cause blindness. But, when she heard the price, she quickly slid the ring off her finger and pulled Chase aside. "Chase, I cannot allow you to spend that kind of money on a wedding band. It's outrageous." Chase smiled back at her and took her hands in his before her began. "Elizabeth, I told you, I have money and if I can do things that will make you happy, then it's not a big deal." He looked up at the salesman, "We'll take it." Then he looked back at Elizabeth, "C'mon, I need to find one as well." They went back to the counter and the salesman suggested a male version of the band that contained diamonds as well. Chase shook off the idea, wanting something simpler. Elizabeth found a platinum band that had criss-crosses cut into the band. It was basic, yet elegant as well. Chase agreed and he promptly paid for both rings. Next they went to Hugo Boss so that Chase could get a suit. Chase selected a black suit with a silvery pinstripe throughout. He then picked out a basic white shirt and a silver tie to match and also picked up a new pair of shiny black dress shoes. When they left Hugo Boss, Chase walked Elizabeth to the front of Valentino. He stopped, pulled a credit card out of his wallet, and placed it in her palm. "You need to find a dress and its bad luck for me to see you in it beforehand. So, here's my card, buy whatever you want, and I mean WHATEVER you want. Get shoes, purses, shop until your heart's content; just be back at the hotel by 5." Chase then handed her his cell phone. "The number for the car service is the last number I called in my phone, have them come pick you up when you're done. Okay?" Elizabeth bit her bottom lip before reluctantly nodding at him. "I'm serious," he continued, "You better come back with more than just a wedding gown." Chase placed a kiss to her forehead and gave her a wink before he turned and walked away, leaving her to do damage to his credit card. Elizabeth looked down at the card and back at Chase, his figure fading in the distance. What the hell, she thought, I am getting married today. She turned and entered Valentino. The salesgirls looked at her snidely at first, thinking she was just there to browse, but when she told them she was getting married today and needed a gown, they quickly perked up, wanting the commission that a sale would entitle them too. She tried on five or six gowns before she found one that she fell in love with. It was strapless silk, fairly plain, except for beadwork at her bust and on her hips. The dress fit like a glove. "This is it," she said out loud to herself, "This is my wedding gown." She paid for the dress, which Valentino graciously agreed to send over to the hotel, and then went on to look for shoes. She went to Jimmy Choo and found a pair of ivory shoes that matched the dress. They had a 3 ½ inch heel and laced up her ankles and calves. The shoes were not only elegant but sexy, and Elizabeth smiled as she imagined wearing them for the wedding and the wedding night. Back home, she always bought her lingerie from Agent Provocateur, a lingerie shop much like Victoria's Secret. Although she was excited to see they had a store there when she and Chase had passed it earlier, she decided to explore Victoria's Secret instead, having never shopped there before. Elizabeth fell in love with a floor length sheer gown, made of embroidered tulle. It was completely see-through, leaving nothing to the imagination. She quickly decided to purchase the gown, as well as several other evening garments she thought Chase would enjoy. If he was letting her spend all of his money on stuff for herself, then at least he could get something out of it, she thought, a devilish smile coming across her lips. She finished up and called for the car. The day had flown by as it was almost 4pm. She was able to get back to Rio and back to their suite by 4:45. She placed the bags in their bedroom and called out for Chase. As she was waiting for an answer, the doorbell rang. She opened it to find three women standing in front of her. "Hello, Miss Ashley. This is Lana and Valerie and I'm Sophia. Mr. Barrett arranged for us to do your nails, hair, and make-up for the evening." "Oh, okay. Come in," she replied, shocked and touched that Chase had made these arrangements for her. The women quickly got to work on Elizabeth. Valerie began her pedicure as Sophia curled her hair and arranged it so some of the curls were up while others hung down. She also placed a crystal tiara in Elizabeth's hair. Valerie then moved onto her manicure while Lana went to work on her makeup, adding some blush to her cheeks and smoking out her eyes with heavy liner. She also added a pale pink lipstick to her lips, not wanting to detract attention from the dramatic eye makeup. The three women then helped Elizabeth slip into her gown and lace up her shoes. When she was done, she looked in the mirror and almost didn't recognize the glamorous looking female that stared back at her. The doorbell rang once again and Lana answered it for her. A man entered and approached Elizabeth. "Miss Ashley, my name is Michael and I am to accompany you to Mr. Barrett," he informed her before he pulled a bouquet of red and white roses from behind his back. Elizabeth said goodbye to the girls and headed towards the elevator with Michael. He placed a keycard in a slot in the elevator and punched in a code which gave him access to the fifty-first floor. The doors to the elevator opened and Michael led Elizabeth through an empty room that resembled a restaurant or upscale bar. He walked her to a door and opened it. She could see remnants of daylight outside. "Go ahead Miss; Mr. Barrett is waiting for you." Elizabeth walked through the door and saw Chase standing at the end of a red runner, his back facing her, talking to the minister. White and red rose petals dusted the floor, the Las Vegas skyline all around them, as they stood high above the ground. The minister saw her and motioned to Chase. He turned and his breath caught. Walking towards him was the most beautiful, elegant, sexy woman he had ever seen and she was about to become his wife. He took a few steps up the runner towards her and met Elizabeth. She beamed at him and at that moment, he knew he had made the right decision. He was marrying the woman he loved, only thirteen days after he had met her. Chase grinned back at her, her height almost matching his in her heels. "Ready?" he asked. "Yes," she replied, still smiling back at him. Chase took her arm in his and led her the rest of the way to the minister. Atop the hotel, they exchanged vows, as the sun began to set on the horizon. After the rings were placed on each other's fingers and the minister had pronounced them husband and wife, Chase drew Elizabeth into his arms and kissed her, sealing their pledge to one another. They thanked the minister and shook his hand before he departed. The area that they exchanged their vows in was part of the Voodoo Lounge, an indoor/outdoor nightclub that sits atop Rio. Speakers were strategically placed all around the area so that any sound that came from them would be acoustically satisfactory. A voice and song she knew came over the speakers; a voice she knew had been performing in Vegas for the past few of years. She turned and looked at Chase awestruck as it continued. "I called in a small favor," he explained, laughing at her shock, her eyes about ready to bug out of her head. He turned her so that she saw the owner of the voice walking towards them, giving them their own private serenade. "Holy shit," Chase heard her say, as she saw Celine Dion walking towards them, singing The Power of Love. Chase wrapped his arms around Elizabeth's waist, gently swaying her to the music. They stood together, watching Celine perform for them, as if they were the only two people in the world. When she finished, she walked over to them and wished them both luck and happiness before leaving for her concert that evening. Elizabeth turned to Chase, "How did you do that?" "Well, Celine's a friend and I wrote a song for her new album, so she said she'd come do this for me." "That was truly amazing." "I'm glad you liked it," he said, pulling her in for a kiss. Chase queued the gentleman in the DJ booth, who started an audio track for them before he too left. Chase and Elizabeth danced both fast and slow, for about an hour, until a table and cart full of food was wheeled out for them. They took their seats and began a feast of filet mignon and lobster tails. "I still can't believe you did all this," she told him in between bites, "It's surreal." "Why is it surreal?" "Because," she said laughing, "It's like a fairytale. We have our own private ceremony and reception on top of a hotel overlooking Las Vegas, I'm wearing this beautiful designer dress-" "Which you look like a vision in," he said interrupting her. "Why thank you. As I was saying, I'm wearing this beautiful dress, I had hair and makeup people come and primp me, we have this delicious meal, and oh yes, to top it all off, Celine Dion comes and serenades us. I could not have dreamt up this evening up!" "So you liked it then?" Chase asked, smirking, before taking another bite. Elizabeth tilted her head and narrowed her eyes at him, "Yes I liked it. You'd have to be crazy not to like it." "Well, good I'm glad," Chase said, placing his napkin on the table and standing. He walked to the other side of the table, bent down, and kissed Elizabeth full on the mouth. When he pulled back, he said, "C'mon, we have to cut our wedding cake," pulling her to her feet. They walked hand in hand towards the little cart where a miniature wedding cake was sitting. Chase grabbed the knife, but Elizabeth moved behind him before he could begin. "I have a better idea," she began before sliding her hand down his chest to his groin. She lightly rubbed her hand back and forth over his cock, which was beginning to harden under her touch, as Chase groaned. "I think we should take the cake back to the suite," she continued. He put the knife back down on the cart and turned to face her. "I think that's the best idea you've ever had," he told her before cupping her face in his hands and kissing her once again. Chase grabbed the cake in his right hand before taking Elizabeth's in his left as they went back down to the suite. "So, you know how I said I wrote a song for Celine," Chase said as they entered the suite. Elizabeth nodded. "Well, I wrote the song when I was in London before I came to back to see you; I wrote it for you." "You did?" she questioned, taken aback. "Yeah, well…I figured if we were getting married and you were going to give me yourself, it was the least that I could do. Do you want to hear it?" "O-Of course I do." "Okay. It's gonna be rough, I mean my voice is nowhere near as good as Celine's, but she's going to record it in a couple of weeks, and give us an advance copy." Chase grabbed the guitar he had commandeered from one of the guys in Celine's band earlier in the day and pulled up a chair. "The song's called Taking Chances. I thought the title was appropriate," he said with a smirk. Chase began singing to Elizabeth as she sat on the edge of the couch. By the time he was done with the first chorus, tears were streaming down Elizabeth's face. They weren't tears of joy or sadness, but rather tears of emotions that Chase had stirred from deep within her soul. When he finished he gently placed the guitar down on the floor and stood. Before Chase could take a step towards her, she was off the couch and in his arms, clinging to him. He held her for several moments, rubbing her back to soothe her. Slowly, as she calm, she balled her right hand around his tie, pulling him in closer towards her, if that was at all possible. Sniffling, she turned her head into his neck and began running kisses across his neck and up his jaw line. She turned his head towards her and captured his lips. She slid her tongue along his lips until he yielded to her mouth, which didn't take long. Chase felt a sense of urgency, a sense of need from Elizabeth, and while he wanted nothing more than to get swept up in it, he knew if they progressed quickly, things would be over before they started. He slowly pulled away from her. "Wait, wait, wait." "What, what's wrong," she asked, her face flushed with lust and desire. "Nothing's wrong. I just want us to slow down. You've been waiting a long time for this and I want you to enjoy it. I want to go slow." Elizabeth took a moment to try and compose herself and gather her thoughts, remembering the ensemble she had purchased earlier in the day. "No, you're right," she paused. "Why don't you pour us a drink and I'll go freshen up." "Okay," Chase said before lightly kissing her once more and letting her go. Elizabeth went into the bedroom and quickly stripped out of the gown, draping it over a chair. She grabbed the Victoria's Secret bag she had stowed in the closet and went into the bathroom. She disposed of the bobby pins in her hair, letting the curls cascade down her shoulders. She pulled the tags of off the white thong and gown before slipping them over her body. The lacy tulle of the gown grazed her nipples as she pulled it over her head. She gave herself an approving once over, quickly using her palms to blend her blush back over the tear stains and walked out of the bathroom. She peeked her head around the corner and saw Chase getting ready to pour two glasses of champagne. She quietly came around the corner and leaned against the door jam, placing her hands behind her butt against the wall, which in turn pushed her near naked breasts out farther. She stood, silently waiting for Chase to look up. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, but was merely seconds, he did. Chase was about to take a sip of the champagne when he saw her. He silently lowered the glass back to the counter, knowing he would drop it if he didn't put it down. His palms suddenly got sweaty, his mouth went dry, and the temperature in the room seemed to rise by at least ten degrees. Elizabeth stood before him, his wife, a vision of elegance and class, and he felt like a horny teenager who was about to get laid for the first time. He wiped his palms against his pants, picking up the glasses, before he slowly approached her, trying to soak in every inch, every curve of her figure. When he stood inches in front of her, he didn't touch her, merely looked into her eyes. "You--, I…I can't even put into words how exquisite you look. I don't even think there are any words." Inherit My Heart Ch. 07 "So…you like what you see then?" she asked, lowering her eyelashes and taking the glass from his hand. Chase tried to swallow the lump that had formed in his throat. "Elizabeth, you could wear a garbage bag and I would want you. This…God, you look marvelous, tremendous, fantastic. Like I said, there are no words to describe it. I wouldn't be doing you justice." She took his free hand and led him into the bedroom. They stood next to the bed and Elizabeth raised her glass. "To us." Chase clinked his glass to hers, "To us," he repeated before they eat took a sip. Chase then took the glass from her hand and placed both on the nightstand. He then turned back to her, gathering her in his arms, and placed a soft kiss to her lips. Elizabeth ran her hands up his chest and wrapped her arms around his neck. The kiss began slow; their tongues tangling, teasing nibbles to lips. Chase ran his hands down her back, cupping the round curve of her ass, pulling her in closer to him. Elizabeth could feel his length growing under his trousers, and she ground herself into him, making him groan into her mouth. Chase kissed her chin, then glided the tip of his tongue across her jaw line, making her shiver. He continued up the whorl of her ear before coming back down and taking her lobe between his teeth, giving it a gentle tug. "You have no idea how hard it has been to keep my hands off of you. Every day I've been with you, I've wanted you more and more. I've wanted to sink deep inside of you and give you pleasure," he breathed into her ear. "I've wanted you to cum on my cock as I'm buried deep inside of you." Elizabeth could feel herself getting wetter with each word he spoke to her. She turned his head back to her and captured his lips in an attempt to show him her mutual need. She tangled her fingers in his hair, pulling him in closer to her. Chase returned her kiss with fervor. He reached up to palm her breasts, his thumbs brushing over her lace-clad nipples. Elizabeth moaned her approval into his mouth, as the buds grew taut. She began pulling at his tie, struggling at first to loosen it because of the fire he was lighting in her nipples and her groin. She got it off and threw it to the floor before she pulled his shirt out of his pants and began unbuttoning it as well. Her shaky hands couldn't negotiate the small buttons through the tiny holes. Her frustration grew and she ripped his shirt open, buttons flying. Chase broke the kiss and pulled back from her, grabbing her wrists. She looked up to him, a look of regret on her glowing face. "I'm sorry; I'll buy you a new one." He chuckled, "I'm not worried about the shirt. But, I think you're a little amped up. You need to relax a bit," he said before lowered his mouth to hers for a slow, soft kiss. He then broke the kiss and moved her a step back against the bed before slowly lowering her down. Chase pulled off his shirt and threw it somewhere on the floor before moving over her. He leaned down and gave her another soft kiss before moving lower, down towards her breasts. When he took her nipple in his mouth, her back arched off the bed. She laced her hands in his hair, holding him to her. His tongue swiped at the wet lace before he moved to the other breast. Chase laved it with attention before slithering down her body a bit further. His searing tongue ran down her abdomen. He stopped right above her mons and looked up at her face. Elizabeth's eyes were closed and her mouth hung open in anticipation of what was next. She didn't have to wait too long for her answer as his balmy breath fell over his clit. Her hips arched off the bed, offering herself to his mouth, but he moved lower. Chase leaned back on his haunches, sliding both his hands up her silky calves, the gown rising with his hands. He stopped when it was above her knees and began trickling soft kisses up her legs. As his tongue skimmed the back of her knee, Elizabeth almost flew off the bed. Chase laughed, "Ticklish?" "Very," she replied huskily. He laughed once again, this time devilishly, "Something to keep in mind for future reference." Elizabeth's gown had pooled up around her hips. Chase leaned down, trailing his tongue up her thigh. As her approached her pussy, her blew another stream of warm air over her and she shuddered. He lowered himself, rubbing his nose into the satin of her thong, feeling her wetness on the material. He licked around the sides of the material where her bare skin was exposed. "Chase, please." Giving her what she wanted he pulled the material to the side and swiped his tongue over her opening. Her hips arched into his face, trying to draw him deeper, but he gently played at his own pace, alternating long strokes and light touches with the tip of his tongue. Elizabeth was starting to thrash her head around on the pillow, soft murmurs escaping her lips through ragged breaths. Chase began his final descent, laving her clit with attention. He nibbled, licked, and sucked on the morsel until she screamed out his name in her climax. He rose from the bed to remove his clothes as Elizabeth lay spent, her eyes closed, chest heaving. Chase smiled at the thought of hearing his wife scream out his name as she came. He knelt back down and gently pulled her gown and thong off her dead weight, then laid her back down and positioned himself slightly over her. "When did you take off your pants?" she asked feeling his nakedness against her skin. Chase laughed, "Just now, while you were coming down from your moment of ecstasy." "Mmm, ecstasy is right." "Baby, you ain't seen nothing yet," Chase said, smiling up at her before dipping his head down and taking a nipple into his mouth. Elizabeth moaned, "Oh I love it when you do that," she said, drawing her hands up to hold his head against her chest. Chase's answer was to give the other the same attention, eliciting another moan from her. He moved himself in between her legs, and began teasing her pussy once again, rubbing the head of his cock over her slit. Chase groaned as her juices coated his head. He wanted nothing more than to just plunge into her, but knew he would hurt her even though he wasn't overly huge. So instead, he teased them both mercilessly, Elizabeth's hips arching off the bed, trying to draw him into her, until he could take no more. He placed his cock directly in line with her opening, pushing forward just a tad as he watched the spongy head slowly enter her. She was tight and needed time to adjust to him, so he slowly fed her himself a bit at a time until he felt himself butt up against her barrier. Elizabeth was squirming underneath him and her movements made him elicit extra care. "What's wrong," she asked him, seeing the look of concern on his face. "I don't want to hurt you." Her hands cupped his face, "Whether you want to or not, this is going to hurt, so just distract me and do it," she told him as she pulled him in for a kiss. "I need to feel all of you," she said against his mouth. Chase deepened the kiss, their tongues tangling together, as he pulled back and thrust forward, claiming her virginity. Elizabeth dug her nails into his shoulder from the pain, letting out a yelp as he did, and he held still so she could get accustomed to his size. She was also extremely tight, gripping his cock like a vice and he needed a moment to compose himself. He pulled back from the kiss and wiped the tear that had escaped from her eye. "You okay?" She quickly nodded and sniffled, "Just give me a minute, okay?" "I'm not going anywhere," he said with a laugh. "I didn't think you were," she retorted. Elizabeth took a deep breath and looked into Chase's eyes. "Okay, I'm ready." "You sure?" he asked, smoothing her hair back from her face. "Yes." Chase placed a light kiss to her lips as he pulled back and slowly sunk back into her. They both groaned into each other's mouths. He repeated the motion several times, each time just as slow as the first. Every time he sunk back into her it felt as if he was putting on a warm glove that was tailor made for his cock. Elizabeth got more confident as she relaxed underneath him, eventually raising her pelvis to meet his strokes. As she did this, Chase quickened his pace and adjusted his positioning so he could hit her g-spot better. Elizabeth shuttered as he did this, feelings of warmth beginning to encompass her body. "Oh my lord, Chase, that feels a-mazing," she said, wrapping her arms tighter around his back. Taking that as encouragement, Chase quickened his pace. He pumped into her four or five more times and her orgasm ripped through her. She screamed out his name, clawing at his back. Chase's control left him as he felt her muscles quaking around him and he came deep inside of her, crying out her name as well, and collapsing on top of her afterwards. As his breathing returned, he looked up at Elizabeth who was staring at the ceiling. "Are you okay?" "Marvelous," she said, still staring off into space. "I have no words to describe how I feel right now. I'm exhausted, yet sated, yet invigorated all at the same time. I guess I do have words," she said before bursting out with a fit of giggles. Chase just shook his head at her and smiled before he placed a kiss to her forehead and slowly pulled away, his softening cock leaving her body. Elizabeth suddenly felt empty as left her and went to the bathroom. He returned with a warm washcloth and gently wiped away any remnants of her virginity before cleaning himself as well. "Was I okay?" Elizabeth finally asked. Chase looked at her cross, "What are you talking about?" "I asked if I was okay? I mean I'll get better. I know that it probably wasn't as good as some of the other girls you've been with." Chase silenced her by placing his hand over her mouth. "Stop. First of all, no one in my past matters. I've told you that already. Second, it was fantastic. And third, yes, as we get to know each other better, our sex will get better as well. It will be utterly indescribable instead of fantastic. Now stop over thinking." He removed his hand from her mouth and replaced it with his own, kissing her deeply until both of their eyes were heavy with sleep. Elizabeth snuggled into him, running her fingertips up and down his chest. Chase's breathing slowed as he fell asleep, holding her tight against him. Elizabeth closed her eyes as well, feeling the rhythm of his chest beneath her head. "I love you," she whispered before her fingers stilled and she too fell asleep. * Sorry for the delay. Things have just been a bit busy at home and in my downtime, I just haven't had the motivation to type. Thanks to Michchick98 as always for her continued support and assistance. Inherit My Heart "Surely." "Fine," Elizabeth said as she walked past him into the hallway. Chase turned and followed her up the hallway, watching her ass sway under the silk. She stopped abruptly two doors down, and Chase almost ran into the back of her. Elizabeth opened the door, and turned and walked away. "The bathroom is the door in between our rooms," she called out over her shoulder before she entered her room and slammed the door shut. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The room was quite large, as Elizabeth's had been as well. The furniture was dark and rich, much like that in the office. It was very ornate and bulky, and Chase guessed, probably centuries old. He settled on the bed, the mattress was very comfy, and took a nap. He awoke around 6pm. Gerald, the butler, told him earlier in the day that dinner would be served at 7pm. There was a door that went from his bedroom into the bathroom, and he quickly undressed and showered. From all the TV and movies Chase had seen, he figured his ripped jeans would not serve him well for dinner so he dressed in a pair of khaki pants and a navy polo shirt. He somehow found his way downstairs and entered the dining room a few minutes before 7. Gerald seated him at the massive table, and after a few moments of looking around the room, he saw that there was only one place setting-his. When Gerald returned, he questioned him about Elizabeth's whereabouts, and he told him that she had requested to dine in her room. He nodded and then ate his meal-alone and in silence. It had been a long day, and afterwards, he chose to retire for the night, and headed back up to his room. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Elizabeth woke in the early morning as the sunlight shone into her room and across her bed. She quickly showered and dressed, and went downstairs for breakfast. It was early by British standards, so she was positive the American would not be awake yet with the time change. She decided to spend the day in the city, away from the castle and away from Chase. Chase woke around 10am, 5am New York time. He couldn't remember the last time he was awake at 5am, normally he was just getting in at this time. He had to admit though; the touring schedule and late nights were starting to take their toll on him. He had been doing it for 8 years now, not to mention all the years and small clubs before he got his record deal, and at 32, he longed for a bit of normalcy. He pulled the covers back and stretched out his nude form. Sleep had come easily last night and he hadn't felt this rested in god only knows how long. He used the toilet and brushed his teeth, looking at the door that connected the bathroom and Elizabeth's room, wondering if she was in there. His stomach growled loudly and he realized that he was starving; Elizabeth and her hostilities would have to wait until after breakfast. He quickly pulled on a t-shirt and a pair of shorts and headed downstairs. Gerard offered to have the cook make breakfast for him, but he insisted it was not necessary. He sat at the butcher block table in the large modern kitchen, munching on his cereal. While the castle was dressed in medieval décor, the bathrooms and kitchen were all state of the art. The entire castle was set up with Wi-Fi access, and there were plenty of electronic gadgets like TiVo and HDTVs. He had all the conveniences of the city in a country setting. Chase kept catching the cook staring at him; she had about had a heart attack when he walked into her kitchen for cereal. She shot the sweet older lady a smile and she blushed and quickly turned away. Chase smirked, rinsed out his bowl, and said goodbye. Gerard had told him that Elizabeth was gone for the day, so he decided to explore the castle property. He walked through the maze of lush gardens and down to the stables. The white mare was exceptionally friendly and he wanted to ride her, as he had not been on a horse in ages, but the July air was very warm and he decided against taking her out. He walked back up towards the castle. There was a natural looking pool with grotto. He thought about taking a dip, but went back inside. He needed to call his lawyer and see what he had to say about the contract. ^^^^^^^^^^ Elizabeth returned home from the city. She only window shopped, not knowing where she was going to be living soon, and not wanting to pillage her savings on trivial items. She had her degree, maybe it was time to start putting it to use. Up till now, she had just been handling her Uncle's investments. She was going to have to learn to stand on her own two feet sooner than later. It was evening and she asked Gerard to have her dinner brought upstairs to her room. She did not want to deal with him tonight or any night for that matter. Gerard knocked on her door and wheeled in the cart, but there were two place settings. "Gerard, why..." she began before looking up and seeing Chase standing in the doorway. "What are you doing?" He entered her room before speaking, his stride cool and cocky. "Well, I figured I'd dine with you this evening so we can get to know each other better. Thank you, Gerard, that will be all." Elizabeth placed her hands on her hips, "What makes you think I want to know anything about you?" Chase pulled the chair out for her, "Well, you were checking up on me on the computer yesterday. You might as well get the story straight from the source, instead of the tabloids," he said gesturing for her to sit in the chair. "Fine." She sat and he pushed the chair in, going around the table to take this own seat. They began their meal in silence. Elizabeth had her eyes cast down on her plate. Chase dropped his fork and sat back in his chair. "Why won't you look at me?" "I'm eating; do I have to stare at you while I'm doing it? Do I have to watch you stare at me? Why are you staring at me anyway?" "That's not it." "I don't like you." "You don't know me." "I know your type. You're a womanizer. You screw anything that moves and have no regard for anyone's feelings but your own." "I don't make promises that I don't keep and anyone I have had relations with knows what they are getting into beforehand. And trust me honey, I don't get any complaints." "Ugh, I'm trying to eat here. I don't want all the gory details of your sex life." "Ok, well then gimme all the gory details of yours," Chase said with a smirk. Elizabeth narrowed her eyes, "You're disgusting!" "And you're cute when you're all fired up." "Look, I have no intention of getting to know you any better. You are smug and self-absorbed, so why don't you just go back to America. I still don't know why you're still here, and if you're not going to leave I will!" Elizabeth got up from the table and threw her napkin on her plate. She squared her shoulders and walked past Chase. As she reached the door, he grabbed her by the arm and spun her around, pinning her in between his body and the wall. She tried to struggle but Chase pushed his lower body against hers and grabbed both of her arms and lifted them above her head, holding them with one hand. He used his other to grab her chin, forcing her to look in his eyes. "I don't know why I'm still here, okay. You're right, I sure as hell don't need the money, and I don't need the hassle that you are, but for some reason I like it here, and I'm getting tired of being on the road, and I want some normalcy in my life. So, excuse me if maybe I thought this was God's crazy way of giving me the things that I want. You obviously aren't going to cooperate with me, so forget it; I'll be on a plane out of here tomorrow and you'll never have to see me again." Chase let go of her and stormed out of the room. Elizabeth was breathing hard. Who did he think he was thinking he could manhandle her the way he just did? She was angry, not only at him, but at herself as well. Her body had betrayed her. Her nipples were hard from rubbing against his chiseled chest and her panties wet from his pelvis grounding into hers so intimately. Chase, a man she loathed, had aroused her, for the first time. ^^^^^^^^^^ Chase had done everything in his power to keep himself in check, but all he wanted to do when he had her pinned against the wall was smother her smart mouth with his own. He might be self absorbed at times, hell, all celebrities are, but he wasn't a smug asshole or anything, and he had better things to do than be aggravated by some snooty women, who detested him. He got on the phone and booked his ticket home.
