They secretly love each other. They've always lived like best friends, sometimes enemies, but mainly friends. They never told each other how they really felt about each other. They are left stranded on this island since they were eight years old. "What do you think it's like to be the moon and stars?" Chiquita asks. Aaron smiles, "I don't know. To provide light to the Earth at night must really be something." "What about the sun?" He sighs, "Too bright." "Sometimes I wish I were the sun." "Why?" "I don't know. The idea of providing heat when people are cold sounds very kind." "You and your ideas again", Aaron chuckles. "I'm serious." "Go on, be a story teller", he teases. "Stop teasing me." "What's the story going to be tonight?" ".. What if the sun and moon were lovers?" "What?" "What if they shared the same skies, and they both got mad at each other, and decided to separate?" Aaron laughs, "Go on.." "They both remember each other, even though they have their own lovers. The sun has her sky, and the moon has the stars." "Very creative.. Never thought of it like that." "Aaron you have to use your imagination sometimes." He says nothing. "How do you think the moon feels about the sun?" "From the way you put it he must really love her." "How do you think the sun feels about the moon?" "You ask so many questions", he says lazily. "Sorry." There is a pregnant pause, and everything around them seem so still. "Chiquita?" "Yeah?" "What do you think sex feels like?" "I don't know, from the pictures we saw it must feel good." "Have you ever thought about doing it?" "Yeah.." He rises up above her, and kisses her. "You didn't pull away this time", he says. "Last time I wasn't ready." He kisses her again, and puts his hand above her breast to feel her heart beat, "Your heart is beating so fast." "Yours is too", she feels his chest. They kiss more deeply and he kisses her neck, sucks. She gasps. "Let's go back to the cabin", he says. "Okay." They hold hands and walk back toward their cabin. They go inside and they kiss some more, holding each other. "Can I take those off?" Aaron asks.. "Yes" Chiquita answers, he unties her bra and slowly slides down her panties, slowly kissing her thighs, stomach, and neck as he rises back up. She is completely naked. "Now you" He slides down his loin cloth, and he too is completely naked. "Your so beautiful", Aaron tells her. "You are too" "Let's join the bed", he says. She gets in first, then he gets on top of her and they kiss. He is not inside of her yet. "Your not going to get inside of me?" She asks. "I want to pleasure you first" came his answer. He made slow love to her, kissed her from her head to her toes, from her toes to her breasts, from her breasts to her lips. She responded with moans and pleasure. He puts a finger inside of her, and she gasps. "Oh!" "Did I hurt you?" "No, just caught my surprise, keep going", he lightly fingers her, then under her command goes a little bit faster, then he rubs her, and she is completely wet. He goes down on her, licks and sucks, kisses and sticks his tongue inside. "OHHHHHHHHHHHH" she moans. He is working his tongue inside of her, spreads her lips with his fingers, and eats her out more. She wriths her hips in enjoyment. When he is done he sucks on her breasts. They kiss, he kisses her neck while she kisses his ear and puts her tongue in it. When they are done kissing, they stare at each other and he slowly gets on top of her again. "Are you ready now?" "Yeah" she answers They kiss again, and he puts it inside of her. She moans very loud, "OH..AHHHHH... AHHHHH" He waits, then goes deeper. "It hurts but feels good.." she whispers in ecstasy, "Are we doing it right?" "Yeah, it feels right" "Ahhh.. Go deeper... it feels good" He goes in deeper and she moans even louder, frowns and bites her lip. First she feels pain, and the more they continue, she begins to feel pleasure, then a satisfied smile appears on her face. She is hot and taking, warm and giving, all at the same time. Their bodies move together in the same pace. The episode continues for 45 minutes, and they climax together. They both scream, and Chiquita's warm liquid ooze out, then Aaron yells louder and frowns, he turns red, and his liquid in turn comes out. They are catching their breath, and they kiss again and lay down. "Aaron.. What was that stuff that came out of your thing?" "I don't know, a love liquid I guess. How do you feel?" "I feel.. Soo good.. That felt really good..." "It was.. I want to try it again" "Me too, I have to catch my breath first" He kisses her cheek as she catches her breath, her breasts rising then falling. He glides a hand over her breasts, "They look even better without your bra on" She playfully slaps his hand away, "Be quiet. Your thing looks better without the loin cloth on" "Shut up" She laughs, and kisses him on the cheek "I've seen you naked before" "No you haven't" "I have. A while ago, when you were in the river bathing, I saw you" "What did you see?" "Just your back area, the two cheeks" "Don't say that" "Why?" "I'm embarrassed.." "Don't be embarrassed babe, they were cute.. Your whole bum area was. I watched for a while, and you almost saw me" ".. I saw you naked too" "Liar" "I did" "When?" "I heard noises one night. I went to check on you to see if you were all right, and I saw you yelling, playing with it, it was the biggest thing I ever saw" He says nothing "Why did it look so big then it gets so small?" He shrugs, "I don't know. I guess when its not in use, there's no need for it to be big" "True" "Did it seriously hurt?" "Yeah it did" "Sorry if I hurt you" "It's not your fault, it felt good though, very good" "Let's do it again, I'm ready when you are" She smiles, "Okay" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chiquita is eating a banana, reading a book. "What are you reading?" "I'm looking at these pictures" she answers. "Let me see" he gets closer and looks at the pictures. It's a human anatomy book, "Your holding it upside down". She turns it upside up, "Very strange". "Her breasts are big", Aaron says with awe "Their not that big". "Bigger than yours", he throws in. "I hate when you get like that, you're so mean". "Sorry, I cant help it. So.. When do you want to do it again?" "Again?! We went three times last night!" "So?" "Don't you get tired?" ".. no". "Is that all you care about?" "I care about you". "It doesn't seem that way, it seems like all you care about is what we did". "I care about that too". She tosses the book on the floor and leaves him alone in the room. He follows her. "Chiquita, wait!" He catches up to her and stops her, she turns around and folds her arms. "I'm sorry if I offended you, you know I care about you". "Yeah.. It just scares me.. You remind me of Meeko sometimes". "Are you comparing me to a monkey?" "Yeah". "That's kind of cruel don't you think?" "You remind me of an animal sometimes. I guess it's in a mans nature to act like you". "What's that supposed to mean?" ".. nothing". "You're sensitive. I suppose it's in a woman's nature to be soft". "Being soft is better than being hard". He smiles in a naughty way. She catches on to what he is thinking and playfully slaps him. "You're dirty!" "Don't hit me again". "I was only playing". "I know that, but don't hit me again". "Or what?" "I'll hit you back. Men are stronger than women". "Not all of them, some of them are weak". "Are you calling me weak?" "What if I am?" "You weren't saying that last night". She walks away angry. They don't talk to each other all day. They ignore each other. Finally Chiquita breaks out of her shell and tries talking to Aaron. "Can you get some firewood?" "Oh, you're talking to me?" "Stop being like that Aaron, I'm hungry". "Eat more bananas". "You're so cruel". "Get your own firewood". "It's dark out there, I'm scared". He sighs, and takes out the firewood, "I picked out a lot of them", He gives it to her. "Aren't you going to say anything else?" He sits back down, "Nope". She walks away and prepares a stew. She hands him his bowl of stew. "Thanks", he takes it and puts it away. "Aren't you going to eat it?" "Later", He replies dryly. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She lies down, because her stomach hurts a little bit. She calls out to Aaron from the other side of the cabin. He doesn't answer, she calls him again. "You okay?" He asks. "Yes, come here". He gets up and goes to her, "What's wrong?" "My stomach hurts, can you massage my stomach?" He waits a while, "Yeah", He massages her stomach very slowly. "Feel good?" he asks. "Feels very good". "This is making me feel strange again, you did this on purpose did you?" "Maybe.." He smiles, takes off his loin cloth and they kiss each other. He takes off her panties and goes down on her. After a while he screams, spits and looks at her in horror, she sees blood on his mouth. "What's wrong????????" She asks. "Your bleeding!" She looks down, and screams, "I'm bleeding!" she grabs a sheet, covers herself up and runs out of the cabin. Aaron follows her, and she goes to the river where a water fall is running, and washes herself. Aaron rinses his mouth. Chiquita starts crying. Aaron notices she is crying, but he says nothing. He feels her pain. When she is ready, they walk back to the cabin. She goes to a private area and covers her area with rags. They make a fire and sit in front of it. "I remember what Paulie told me", Chiquita says suddenly. "What?" "He said I was going to be on my rag one day, and only women go through it. That before the age of 13, I was going to bleed myself". "Why?" Aaron asks. "He said that all women go through it, it's how they grow and change. Boys don't have to go through it". "I'm glad of that!" Chiquita covers herself up more with her blanket. "I'm sorry you went through that", she said, "It hurts me to know that happened". "It wasn't your fault, you didn't know", he says. "We will probably never do it again". "When you stop bleeding, we will, but in the meantime, you have to get better first. Is your stomach still hurting?" "Yeah, and my back a little." "I'll rub it for you". "Do you want to?" "Yes", she lays on the bed again, and he slowly massages her back, occasionally kissing it, and she moans. "I feel good again". "It's my job to make you feel good". She smiles. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chiquita wakes up one morning with Aaron right behind her, slowly takes his arm from around her waist, and goes to the river to take a bath. She comes back, and Aaron is still sleeping. She admires his male lips, his skin color, his wavy brown hair.. His chest.. His abs.. he is so male. He wakes up suddenly while she is still admiring him. "What's wrong?" He asks wiping his eyes. "Nothing, you just look so perfect." "Do you do that to me every morning?" "What?" "Stare at me?" "No. I came back and you were still sleeping." He rises from the bed and stretches, gets out of bed and kisses her. "What's that noise?" He asks. "What noise?" "Sounds like a ship", he opens the curtain and sees a ship sailing towards their direction. "Let me see", Chiquita says, and sees the sight for herself, "What if they mean harm?" "Don't panic", Aaron says, "This is an island, people love to visit islands. Remember that's what Paulie taught us?" "Yeah, I suppose so." (People get off the ship, and there are a lot of people carrying bags. Among these people is a family, a father, mother, and their beautiful young daughter, Annie, who is a 21 year old Harvard sociology student. The whole family has studied sociology at Harvard, and they are studying the habitats of animals in the tropics. "What do you see?" Chiquita asks. "I see people, an old man, an old woman, well not too old at least, and a girl." "A girl? How old?" "She looks like she's our age, she's very young." Chiquita gets up and sees them. Annie and her family set up camp somewhere not too far from Aaron and Chiquita's nest. "We have all the food that can supply us for the two weeks we're here", the father says. "I really don't like the thought of being here, I have mosquito bites on my legs already", the mother complains, putting bug spray on her legs. "Don't worry, the two weeks will go by pretty fast", the father says, "Just be a little more optimistic will you?" "I've been trying to be optimistic about this trip since the time we got on that boat." "Mom and Dad, I'm going to take a walk." "Where?" the mother asks. "Not too far." "I don't think that's a good idea", the mother says, "You don't know what's out there. At least take Martin with you." "Oh let her go!" The father says, "She's a grown woman with long legs, let her walk those out." Annie kisses her father on the cheek with happiness and she prances away. "Don't go too far!" The father yells. The mother is rubbing lotion all over her face. "I really don't like this idea, I wanted to go to Paris for a month where they have beds made of silk! Do they have that here? No." "Laura, your really starting to annoy me. Stop your bitching and just relax, okay?!" She shrugs, "Whatever you say." She takes out a book and things on camp seem more quiet. Annie wanders away. She loves the nature and all the animals that she sees. From afar, she spots a butterfly and follows it. Chiquita is taking a nap, and Aaron decides to take a walk. He sees Annie. Little does she know she wandered too far off from where her family is staying. She feels nature calling, and hides in a bush to pee. "Who's there?" Aaron calls. Annie jumps, gets up and buttons her pants. All she sees is a young man in a loin cloth. "Who are you????" She asks. "Wowwww, you're the first human that I've seen since I've been here", he exclaims. "W-what are you talking about?" "I've been on this island since I was 8, and haven't seen anyone here since." "Since you were 8? How old are you now?" "I turned 21 the first day of spring, March 20th." "Oh that's nice", Annie feels more relaxed, "My name is Annie, what's your name?" "Aaron, nice to meet you Annie." "I actually prefer Anna, Annie sounds too old." "I like it, its pretty." She blushes. "Is that your family?" Aaron asks. "Yeah, we're here in the tropics for two weeks to study wild life and nature. I come from a family of sociologists, so that's what we study." "Study?" "Yeah, read, research, write, observe.. Things like that. I love studying things." "I study too, but I cant read that very well." "I'll teach you how to read, if you want me too." "Yeah, of course. My friend has to learn how to read too." "Who's your friend?" "Her name is Chiquita. Her parents were killed in a train wreck years ago, and her uncle adopted her." "Where did you come in at?" "Oh me? I was an orphan boy who ran away, and Paulie.. Her uncle found me and took me in. that was in a whole different world though." "America?" Annie suggests. "Yeah, from New York. But we traveled all over the place. He didn't like staying in one place. We even lived in Canada for a while. Then Texas for a month, but he didn't like the country life. So we traveled more and more, and he threw in the idea that we were going to live on an island." "Is he here with you now?" "No, he died, of a heart attack when we were just pulling in on the island. We were on the boat, and he kept saying that he had chest pains, and he drank scotch, said that would help him. As soon as we put our feet on this Earth, he died. I've always thought he died at the right time. He saw all this beauty", Aaron looks around, "And it made him happy." "I'm sorry to hear that, that's a sad story." "No need to be sad, he's all around us. When people die they become a piece of nature." "You think so?" "Yeah." "I always thought that when people died they stayed in the grave." Aaron looks at her in a confusing way. Annie hears her parents calling her. "Coming!" She yells back, "It was nice seeing you, Aaron." "You too." She smiles and runs away. Aaron looks after her as she disappears. She runs back to the camp, "I saw a young man! He's the sweetest thing ever." "A young man?" Her mother asks. "What young man honey?" Her father asks. "I met him, he doesn't live far. His name is Aaron and he's my age! He said that he and a friend lived here because their Uncle died years ago. So they had to fend for themselves." "Sounds like such a tragedy, I would like to meet this boy", The father says, "Maybe he can help us." "This isn't you making up things again right?" The mother asks. Annie turns around, "No, why would I make this up?" "You have a wild imagination Annie." "Hmph! He was wearing nothing but a loin cloth, so I suppose I do." "All right, you two stop it. You've been arguing since we got on that boat. Whatever we do at home we are not going to bring it here. We're supposed to enjoy ourselves, right?" "Yes." "All right, now let's have dinner." Aaron goes back to the cabin where Chiquita is. Chiquita is up by now and preparing food. "I saw a human!" "A human???" "Yeah. I spoke with her. Her family is here for two weeks to study here." "I bet she's an old lady right?" "No, she's young, our age." "What does she look like?" "She's white, her hair is blonde, she has blue eyes, and she's kind of short. Shorter than you." "Is she pretty?" "Yes, she's beautiful." A pang of jealousy runs through Chiquita, "Sounds nice then. Are you going to be friends with her?" "Gee, I don't know. Who knows????" Chiquita doesn't say much, and he kisses her, "You know I will always like you." She smiles and kisses him back. Lying in bed that night, Annie thinks of Aaron. His tall stature, his beautiful fair skin, his wavy brown hair. What a beautiful and intelligent human being he is. She looks at her parents, her father snores, but her mother just breathes in, and breathes out. She wishes she could be like her parents. They've been together over 20 years, and they met when they were 15. Annie always wished she could find love like that. The next day she is anxious to meet Aaron again, and she goes to the same spot she met him at. She waits.. But he's not there. She's wearing a green button down shirt, white shorts, and her gym shoes. Her hair is in a long blonde braid cascading down her back. She wanders further so she can see him, and she sees a water fall. She goes to the water fall and puts her hand in the running river. So cold, but feels great against this hot summer sun. In the distance, she sees a figure.. She frowns in confusion and goes a little near, it's a naked man, bathing. It's Aaron! She gasps and hides behind the bushes. Aaron doesn't realize that Annie saw him, his back was turned. She waits for a while then leaves, and goes back to the place she met him at, and sits on a huge rock. Aaron & Chiquita She loves hearing the sounds of the birds. Aaron appears about ten minutes later. He is a little wet. His hair is longer when its wet. "Hi Annie", he smiles. "Hi", she continues to blush. "What's wrong?" "Nothing, how was your night?" "Okay, yours?" "The first night was the toughest, but it'll get better each time. I was wondering, if maybe you can show me things your distance. I haven't wandered this far, I'm afraid to." "Sure, come with me." She follows him, and he tells her all about the area. "Now this.. Is my world", he shows her. She stands there in awe, and she cant believe how beautiful things are. The water is clear like crystal, the sky is bluer than she has ever seen, and all the colors amaze her. He shows her all the animals, gorillas, monkeys, etc. "Reminds me of the Garden of Eden." "Huh?" "Oh, nothing." "I'm going to show you my friend." "Okay, sure!" Chiquita is eating a banana with her monkey, Meeko in the cabin, when Aaron comes in with Annie. "Chiquita, this is my friend Annie." Chiquita doesn't say anything, she immediately covers herself up. "Oh no! Please, don't be afraid of me.. I mean good." Chiquita still doesn't say anything. Her monkey runs behind her. "I'm sorry, maybe I shouldn't be here. I scared her." "No, its okay. She's just shy, always been that way." Annie leaves the cabin and Aaron follows her. "Where are you going?" "Maybe I should go back to my camp. I don't like the idea of scaring people." "Yeah." She lightens up, "Why don't you come with me?" "Come with you?" "Yeah, my parents would love to meet you. My mom thinks I'm making all of this up that I saw you." "Are they good like you?" "Of course they are, you would just have to mind my mom, she can get annoying at times." "Okay." He follows her back to her camp, which is a few miles back. Her mother has a bra on, and a towel wrapped around her waist, and her father is laying down, snoring, with a book on his stomach. "Mom?" Her mother turns around, "What is it now Ann-" She sees Aaron, and she drops the body wash that she had in her hand, then picks it back up, "Oh my?" "This is Aaron Mom, and Aaron this is my Mom." "How do you do?" She asks. "Fine thank you", he takes her hand and kisses it. Her cheeks turn pink. Her father wakes up, "What's all the fuss about-" He sees Aaron and grabs his gun. "No!!" Annie and her mother yell, "He means good." Annie's father puts the gun back down, "Oh.. I thought that-" Aaron runs away, and Annie follows him. "Mitchell I told you to keep your calm!" her mother scolds him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!" Annie follows him, "Aaron wait! Wait!" He turns around, "That scared me.." "Yeah I know, but I apologize, he really didn't mean it." His nose starts to bleed, and he breathes hard. "Your nose is bleeding, come here", she touches his face, takes out a handkerchief from her pocket, and tells him to sit down on the rock, hold his head back, and keep that on his nose, which he does. "Why is my nose bleeding?" "You're under stress. It's perfectly normal. Some people cry when they're stressed out, others lash out, and others have nose bleeds." "What about down there?" "Huh?" "My friend, Chiquita, she bled down there." "She had her menstrual cycle." "I've heard about that back in America, but I forgot the name as I grew older. What's a menstrual cycle?" "Just a period of cleansing that every woman on Earth goes through. It's just a part of life." Aaron says nothing. "Was that the first time she bled?" "Yeah, she got scared." "How old is she again?" "18." "Oh, some women have theirs later than others. I started when I was 12. My older sister got hers when she was 9, and so did my mother. I thought I would never have mine, but my mom said I was too athletic. I liked running, basketball, tennis, and I was even a ballerina at some point. My mom said that's why I didn't get my menstrual. Anyway, let's see how your doing." He holds his head back down, and it stopped. "It stopped bleeding." He smiles, and she smiles. "I would love for you to have dinner with us. I promise my father wont pull what he pulled again." He smiles, "Okay." Aaron has dinner with Annie, and her mother cant stop blushing, and her father finds him to be very intriguing. Aaron learns more and more about human interaction. Annie's father invites him to study and observe with them, and Aaron gladly accepts. He spends the rest of the day with Annie's family. He tells them of the tragedy that happened, and they listen with awe. Annie reads him books, and teaches him about The Bible. He likes how she teaches him. He looks at her, sees her beautiful blonde hair against her tanned skin, and her gorgeous blue eyes, and her tanned legs. It makes him feel so different. She shows him movie clips, and other technology. She teaches him how to write his name in cursive, and she claps when he does. "I have to go now", He says. "I wish you could stay with us longer", Annie says. "I know, but I don't want Chiquita to be alone." "Oh yeah." "I'll see you tomorrow, thank you for everything Annie." "Your more than welcome." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aaron goes back to the cabin made of wood that Chiquita helped him to build a few years ago. He walks into the cabin, and she's sitting there, with Meeko. "Where have you been? And why are you smiling like that?" "I was with Annie, her family invited me to dinner, and they were very nice to me. They showed me movies and other things, Annie taught me how to write my name, and she read me some stories in The Bible, and even showed me pictures. She's a great teacher." "Annie?" "Yeah." "So you like her more than me now?" "Chiquita.. Annie is just a friend, nothing more." "She seems to be more than that." He frowns and asks her, "Are you jealous?" "No." "Liar", he teases, "That's your problem. You've always been jealous of me." "No I haven't." "Yeah you have. You're jealous because of the fact I'm taller than you, I can jump higher than you, and I'm stronger than you." She throws a piece of wood at him, "Not true!" "It is, and now you're jealous that I have a friend." "She's stuck up to me." "You don't even know her." "And she's pale.. With freckles.. And ugly hair.. She's ugly." "Why are you being mean?" "I'm not!" "I can't believe I'm talking to you", he walks away. "Where are you going this time?" "To bed Chiquita..." "And you're going to do what, dream of Annie?" He gives her a dirty look, turns around and covers himself up more. She pouts, then gives out the fire, then goes to sleep. She wakes up the next morning and Aaron is not there. It's barely the morning, and he's already out? Who does he think he is? Chiquita asks herself. Maybe he'll be back later. Annie's parents are away with their scout, and Annie and Aaron are alone. They are watching a movie, and in the movie involves a love scene, it becomes too intense so Annie turns the movie off. "Why do people make noises when they are doing it?" "It releases a lot of tension, it releases endorphins, oxytocins; happy chemicals that make you feel good. When you feel good you wouldn't keep quiet right?" She asks. "Yeah, what is it that they were doing?" "They were making love, or having sex." "Sex?" He asks. "Yes." "Have you ever had sex before?" Annie laughs, "Yes." There is silence between them. Curiosity gets the best of Annie and she asks, "Have you and Chiquita?" "Yeah. Why did it feel so good?" "It was meant to feel good. We all have pleasure spots inside of us." "A liquid came out, what was that?" "That was your sperm." "Sperm?" "Yes, it is released at the end of sex, it can also make a woman pregnant." "Pregnant? Like have a baby?" "Yes." "Ohhh..." There is another silence, and out of nowhere Annie gets Aaron's hair out of his face. Aaron doesn't budge, then she kisses his cheek, and his other cheek, then his nose, then his forehead. Then his lips, she kisses his neck, then goes up to his ear, and he rests his hand on her lower back. Their lips meet, and they kiss each other, and hold each other while they are doing it, Aaron's hand travels on Annie's legs. "I can't do this.." He pulls away. "Why?" Annie asks. "Chiquita", he gets up and leaves. Annie is sitting there, sad, disappointed, and lonely. But he loves Chiquita, she thinks to herself, who am I to do this to him? I'm only here for a couple more days anyway. Annie prepares her bed, and she doesn't want to stay at camp any much longer, so she decides to take a walk. It's pretty dark outside, but the sky is still blue. I'll make it back before the sky gets darker, she thinks to herself. She sees Aaron walking toward her distance, and becomes surprised. "Aaron, I thought you left-" He kisses her, and they kiss even more deeply than they did before. His hands rest on her backside, and he squeezes. "Not here", she says, "Somewhere else." "Come with me." They go into a more discreet area, and they kiss more. "You smell so nice", he says devouring her as he kisses her neck. "Thank you", she hugs him so tightly. He toys with the buttons on her shirt, "I'll help you", she says, and she takes it off. He takes off the tank top she has on underneath and she has on a pink bra. He kisses her breasts, her stomach, then she helps him unbutton her shorts, and she is wearing dark pink panties. She is wet. "I promise not to hurt you", He says. He moves in on her slowly, and she feels a pleasurable pain, a good pain, and she moves in slow pleasure. After a while, they are done. "My parents will be back shortly, I can't go back like this", she says. "Let's go to the river, I promise it wont take long." They go to the river, and he washes her, and kisses her all over. They dry off, and she kisses him, and tells him she'll see him again. She runs back to her camp, and her parents are just coming in. "Darling we saw a lot of the animals today! It was amazing! You should've gone with us", the mother exclaims. "She can come with us other times, we have 11 days left here." "Um, is it possible that we can stay here longer than 11 days", Annie asks. "We've only packed things that'll last us two weeks, maybe we can stay an extra week, we'll think about it", he changes the subject, "Boy Laura, that was the first time I saw you laugh since we've been here." "I love animals, I really do!" Annie cant stop smiling. "Why are you smiling for Annie?" Her mother asks. "Leave her alone", her father says, "Probably daydreaming, most women daydream don't they?" "I'm just thinking abut all the fun we'll have here. I'm happy to see you happy." Her mother kisses her on the cheek, "Where's that cute boy at that we saw yesterday?" "I haven't seen him today." "Oh, too bad, I thought he was cute!" "Cute?!" Annie's father says, "You're cheating on me?" He jokes. "No! He's too young for me, far younger than me." "You know older women love younger men", he teases her. Her mother hits him with a pillow. Annie laughs at her parents. Aaron returns to the cabin, he can't stop smiling. "Where were you?" "I was out." "I know that, but where?" "Why?" "You were with that girl again, weren't you?" Chiquita, I think you should just mind your business." "So you were with her?" "If I was, then what?" She pouts. "You know I think you need to do something. Go out, get a life, there's more to the world out there than this little cabin." "This "little" cabin is the cabin we built together, or did you forget that?" "No, but you're too much into my business, it's not like we're married or anything." "I thought we understood each other." He says nothing, "Good night." She can't even sleep she's so angry. "I think it's going to storm tomorrow, the winds are going to be very powerful. Maybe you shouldn't go out." "How many times has it stormed and I've been out?" "Well it's dangerous." "You're not going to block me Chiquita.." "Block you.. Is that what you think I'm doing?" "You're playing games with me." "It was good wasn't it Aaron?" "You don't know what you're talking about." "I saw you!" "You saw me?" "Don't act like you don't know! Of course I saw you, all the things you did to me you did it to her." He pauses. She folds her arms, "Well can you explain?" ".. that wasn't supposed to happen.. You weren't supposed to see that." "I was looking for you.." ".. I'm sorry.." "That's all???" Aaron is dumb founded now, and he sits down. Chiquita starts crying, "You lied to me! I thought you loved me!" "I do love you.." "No you don't, if you did you wouldn't have hurt me that way." She runs away, and this time, he doesn't follow her. He buries his head in his hands. The next day, Chiquita wakes up, and surprisingly Aaron is still there. She makes a light breakfast for them. "Are you wondering off today?" She asks. "I don't know." She doesn't like that answer, she knows that anything is possible. Later, Aaron asks Chiquita if she wants to go swimming with him, and she declines. "Why?" "I don't know." "You're still mad at me?" "I guess so, I can't explain how I feel." "I'm really sorry." "Sorry doesn't help anything!" He leaves the cabin, still feeling bad, and goes swimming. He thinks about Chiquita, and then Annie. Annie is so full of life, and she's different. She taught me how to read, and even taught me how to write. Her family likes me, and I like them too. She was amazing. I love how her blonde hair looks silver, and her skin is tanned. I love how her blue eyes sparkle, even in the darkness. Chiquita has been my friend for a very long time. We had to learn to fend for ourselves since Paulie died. Am I in love with Chiquita? I cant explain my emotion. I love her, but maybe not in love. She's always been annoying and even weird to me. I've found everything to be wrong with Chiquita, but I still have love for her. But Annie.. Just seems different. In the midst of Aaron thinking to himself, Annie comes along and sees him. She has a bottle of body wash with her, she smiles at Aaron and he comes near her. "Hi", he says. "Hey, it's a good morning isn't it? My parents don't even know that I'm out. Turn around", he turns around, and she puts body wash on him and washes him with her loofah, "My father told me that we could stay on the island a couple more days yet. That would be quite an adventure. He bought along his camera so that we capture the animals." "You're staying on the island longer?" "Yes." A feeling a relief blew through him. "But then.. You have to leave for America after?" She sighs, "Yes.." He turns around, "I don't want you to go." "I don't want to go either", she kisses him on the cheek. "Anna.. Chiquita is like a sister to me.. And I don't like the idea of hurting her at all.. Yet I don't think I feel for her what I'm feeling for you.. I feel so strange.." "Me too.. I've never been in love before, and I haven't felt for anyone what I feel for you." He smiles. He goes to her camp and her parents are finished with breakfast. Her mother made rice, sausages, and made some eggs. They all eat and talk with Aaron. "So you're all leaving for America in two weeks?" "Yeah", her father answered, "My wife and I were wondering, if you would like to come to America with us." A pang of surprise shot through Aaron. He was happy and confused at the same time. "We know you haven't been off of this island in years, and this is all you know. But you're human, and you need to be around other humans. Now we all live in a nice house in Boston, and it's a big city full of a lot of hard working people. We think that you'll enjoy that life." "I think that I would, but...". "But what honey?" Her mother asked with concern. "Chiquita.." "Sheeba?" Her mother asked. "Chiquita", Annie corrected. "Is that a sister of yours? Lady friend?" Father asks. "She's a friend, a very good friend. I can't leave her alone." "Of course not!" Mitchell exclaims, "She too can come along with us. We have plenty of room in our house. We would be known as the family who took you off of the island, let's make a toast of that." "Mitchell its only 9:45 in the morning." "It's okay, a little champagne wouldn't hurt. Besides our bodies don't know what time it is", He fills champagne in glasses and gives it to them. They make a toast and drink. "I've only had champagne once in my entire life," Aaron says. "When was the last time?" Annie asks. "Before Paulie died," he responds. Everybody drinks in silence. Aaron goes back to the cabin, and finds the cabin empty. "Chiquita?" He calls. No response. Aaron gets in his mat/bed and goes to sleep. Chiquita returns a little later. "Where were you?" He discovers a necklace around her neck. "I was talking to a man." She answers. "A man?! What man??" He responds. "He's a tourist from America. He's here on vacation for a week." "Where did you meet him?" Chiquita gets into bed and puts her covers over her, "I was lonely when you left so I decided to go out by the river, opposite where you always go. He asked me why was I looking so sad. I looked up, and there he was." "You spoke to him?" "Yeah, we had a great conversation. He was surprised I could speak English. His name is Tom. He's a nice man." "Well that's good." "Good night Aaron", Chiquita puts out the fire. Aaron speaks in darkness, "So that's it between us?" "We don't even talk to each other anymore. When I wake up you're gone, then when you come back it's dark and we don't say more than ten words to each other. Then we sleep. It's a hideous cycle." "It is a bad cycle. How old does this man look?" "Old, well not too old at least, maybe 30's. He's very nice. He works at a bank." "Oh.. At least he's not some creepy old man." Aaron turns over and goes to sleep. Aaron wakes up, and discovers Chiquita is not in the cabin. Chiquita walks toward the river. Her friend is fishing. He's a 35 year old male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He works at a bank in America, and divorced with two children. The two children live with their mother in another state. "Hi Chiquita", he smiles and puts the fish in a pot. "Hi. David right?" "Yes, you remembered this time. Sit down." She sits down, "What are you doing?" "Oh I just got done catching some fish. I'll have a pretty decent meal tonight. Why don't you join me?" "Sure, it's been a while since I've had fish." "Fish is very good, very nourishing to your body and has a lot of protein in it. I generally eat fish with hot sauce. Buddy of mine got me eating hot sauce with fish." "Buddy?" "Yeah, my friend. I went over his house and his wife made fish, corn bread, and spaghetti. It was a great dinner." "That does sound really good." "Why don't we eat something?" He smiles, helps her up, and takes his pot of fish over to his tent. "I have a question." "Sure Chiquita." David has a smile that could melt the hardest hearts. "Why do you make so much money, but come way out here?" "That's the beauty of it. I needed a break, and I had to come down here. I heard it was a beautiful place to come to, yet not many people visit here. I was going to Bora Bora for vacation, but I've been there twice in my lifetime, so I decided to go somewhere different." Aaron & Chiquita "Do you like it here?" "Hell yeah I like it here. This place has great weather, beautiful scenery, and a good climate. Plus it's really quiet." They eat fish and they talk. "So tell me Chiquita.. I didn't get much yesterday, but I've been trying to figure this all out. How did you get on this island? Were you born here?" She shakes her head no. "How did you come here?" "My uncle died, and a friend and I were left here." "Wait.. Your uncle died.. Were you living here when he died?" "No, we moved here." "Moved here?" David's face reeks of confusion, "I'm sorry I'm just trying to figure all of this out." "My Uncle raised me when my parents died, they were killed in a train wreck. They were going to Canada for a business meeting, but they never returned." "So.. How did you end up here?" "Well my Uncle took me in, and we traveled all over the place. He said something about retiring and living on an island for the rest of his life. As soon as we set foot on this island, he died." "Died.." "Yeah, he had heart troubles." "Reminds me of.." "Of what?" He shakes his head, "Nothing. So you had to take care of yourself pretty much?" "Yeah, me and a friend." "Okay, so she's the same age as you." "It's a male, his name is Aaron." "Oh.. How did he end up?" "He was an orphan, and Paulie took him in." "Oh, adopted him?" ".. yeah.." "Sorry for all these questions. That's a sad and crazy story. It's a big tragedy. You don't belong on this island though. You belong in a city. You have to live in a nice house, and get an education." "I don't think I would fit very well in your civilization." "Oh but you would! I have friends who are teachers, and they're very good friends. They would love to help you get an education. Teach you how to read and write; things like that." David finishes the fish and puts it on a plate, and hands it over to Chiquita. "This Talapia is pretty damn good!" He says. "It is." "I leave in five more days to go back home." "Where is home?" "New York, in Manhattan." "Oh. Sounds very far." "Oh it is! Very far from here." They finish eating. "So.. How would you and your friend feel about leaving this place?" "This place is our home, but he wants to leave more than I do. I suppose it would be nice to go somewhere else different." "Yeah. You can't continue to stay here. You haven't had a mother figure in your life, and girls need their Mothers. I'm sure you've been through many things. "Yeah." "God.. I can't imagine how you could go through that for the first time and be so alone." "It was scary." "That's the perks of living on a deserted island", he shakes his head. They talk a little bit more, and Chiquita tells him that she has to leave. "Okay Chiquita, and nice talking to you again!" David waves. "Bye David", Chiquita smiles and leaves. Annie and David are sitting on the rock, and staring at the moon and stars. "Chiquita has this weird story about how the moon and the sun were once lovers who separated, and that's why they shine in different times of the day." Annie chuckles, "Sounds like a cool theory." "I thought she was silly." "It is silly, but it's very creative at the same time." He looks at the sky again, they are holding hands. Annie takes his hand and kisses it. "I feel strange again Annie." "Me too." They lock eyes and kiss, Aaron puts his hands under her shirt. Annie pulls away. "No Aaron, we can't do this anymore." "Why?" "We come from different worlds you and me.. And plus you have Chiquita.. I don't want to feel like I'm taking you away from her. You guys really belong together." "Me and Chiquita are just friends who have lived together since we were eight." "But I think she really likes you. From what you tell me about her she has something for you." "I don't like her like that", he puts his hand on her face, "I like you." Annie weeps, and Aaron holds her. "I don't know what I feel. I mean.. I really like you, and I really liked what we did, it was great sharing my love with you. But I don't believe that we are soul mates." "Soul mates?" "A person who has a piece of your soul; someone you're meant to be with forever." "You're not my soul mate?" "I don't believe that I am. I want to think I am, but I don't like the awkwardness of all this." "But Annie.. You definitely weren't talking like this a few days ago. Why so sudden?" She cries more, "I don't know. I suppose sex confuses things." "Maybe it does." "It hurts so bad, because.. I really love you Aaron! You're the first boy I've ever been with. I've fallen in love with you so deeply, but I feel uncomfortable knowing that someone else likes you." "Yeah." Annie wipes her tears, "I've got to go." Annie gets up and runs to her camp. Aaron is dumbfounded; just sits there. He can feel all the stress and confusion from his head to his toes. He eventually gets up and heads back to the cabin. Strangely, Aaron and Chiquita walk back to the cabin at the same time. Chiquita her way, and Aaron his way. "How were things with the guy?" Aaron asks. She shrugs, "It was okay. He wants me to go to America with him." "America?!" "Yeah, and you too." "I really want to get off this damn island!" He hurriedly walks inside. "Aaron what's wrong?" "Nothing." "Please tell me, I know that something is wrong." "Leave me alone Chiquita.." "But Aaron you're not acting right." "Leave me alone!" He throws a pillow at her. She's very upset and she tosses the pillow on his bed and leaves. She sits on her bed and crosses her arms, watches Aaron sleep. "We need to talk." "I don't want to talk to you, you're annoying! Okay? So just leave me alone and let me be." "No, I'm not going to leave you alone until you tell me what's wrong!" Aaron rises up from his bed/mat.. "Fine.. You really want to know what's wrong?" "Yes!" "I just don't like the fact that you're the only person that I even looked at all these years. Stuck on this island.. With one other person. I've had to deal with your annoying crap for this long, and then I met Annie. I really care for Annie, and you know what she told me? She told me that she had to let me go because she knows that you like me." "... so what are you saying?" "I'm saying that I don't like you! I don't want you to like me! I want to have a life for once!" "Aaron.. I think..", She's trying to hold back tears, "You're taking all of this too far." "You asked for it!" He barks. "Well fine.. I don't like you! Once I leave for America, I'm never coming back!" "Good, one less annoying person I have to deal with." She's so angry now she can't cry anymore. "Well in five more days, I'm leaving! I can't wait to leave! Go with your little blonde princess!" "I think I will." "I hate you Aaron. I hate everything that comes with you! I hate the way you look, the way you talk, and your attitude! That's why I like David better. He can teach me things that you won't be able to!" "Sorry to say that I already beat you to it!" He shouts. "I'm never coming back, and I won't miss you!" "Good! I won't miss you either." "Go to Annie and her stuck up family-" "You know nothing about her family Chiquita!" "I know that they're stuck up. You think I haven't seen them???" "You know what? Don't say anything else to me." "Or what?" "I'll hurt you, and that's a promise. I wouldn't dare go that way." "I'm not scared of you", Chiquita takes a big gulp. There is a lot of tension in the air. Aaron gets out of bed and approaches Chiquita.. "What was that?" Chiquita slowly gets up, "I'm not scared of you. You don't scare me." Aaron says nothing. "You're very sorry. You're a pitiful excuse for a guy. When I spoke to David, he made me feel good about myself. I told him about you and all he does is laugh. You're pathetic." "Well you know what? When I tell Annie about you, she does more than laugh. She talks about you, and says that you're stupid and I deserve someone better than you. Truth is I already found her. I believe the gods blessed me with my soul mate by bringing her my direction." Chiquita frowns, "Soul mate?" Aaron laughs and heads back to his bed. Chiquita sits down in sorrow and confusion. Eventually she cries herself to sleep silently. David has a great conversation with Chiquita and notices that she looks under the weather. "Why are you so sad?" He asks. "I didn't sleep very well." "Why?" "I just wasn't feeling good." David has a feeling that more happened than what she was telling him, but he nods his head and fixes her some soup he cooked over the fire. "So have you made up your mind yet?" "About what?" David laughs, "About the trip to America." "Yeah, I really want to go." "Seems like something is holding you back." "No, there's nothing." "You sure?" "Yes." "You know I'm very good at reading people. You had an argument with your friend right?" ".. yes.. It wasn't very nice." "That's why you had a bad sleep. You've been thinking about it so much you couldn't sleep." "Yeah." "I'm sorry. I've had many arguments with my ex wife." "Did you ever fight her?" "Fight her? Of course not. She has thrown dishes and glasses at me before. Once I snapped and pushed her into the wall. It created a hole. If you call that fighting, then I guess. I reacted out of anger because I was tired of taking her shit." "I understand. Did she cry?" "Yes she did cry, and she has a permanent purple bruise on her upper back because of that." "You didn't give it to her, she gave that to herself." "Exactly! Still I felt like a sorry bastard. Men carry more emotions than women. I mean we act like jerks and assholes making it seem like we don't care, but all of that is just a mask. We really do care. I'll be the first man to tell you that Chiquita.." "So that's why they're so mean?" "Yeah. I mean we're dogs by nature, we have hearts like lions, and big heads like bulls." "Wow.." "So if a man ever tells you he doesn't give a shit about you, don't believe it. I mean you may have done something that pissed him off, but he feels that since it's in his nature to be hard, that's how he should react. But that shit comes back to bite us later. Truth is, he really does care for you. What did you and your friend argue about?" "Well, there's a girl who is also here on the island vacationing with her parents." "Yeah?" "She's on the other part of the island, maybe a few miles from here. I don't know how long. But she met Aaron, my friend, and they're in love with each other. She wants to take him to America with her, and he told me last night that the reason she couldn't be with him is because she knows that I really like him." "Do you like him?" "Yes, more than like him." "So he doesn't feel the same way because of this girl?" "Yeah. He really likes her, and he got mad at me. He felt that if I didn't like him, they would be together and she wouldn't feel guilty." "My God. Well.. He should never blame someone else of something that they can't help. Besides.. You're a beautiful girl. You can get any man that you want." Chiquita smiles very wide, and David smiles too. "Chiquita, I think you're a very beautiful woman. But you're also naïve; young." "Yeah", the wind swipes her long black hair across her face. "If I take you to America, you can't come back here." "I don't want to come back here. Too many demons", she whispers. David leans in and kisses her. They kiss very deeply, and Chiquita relaxes and puts her hands on his shoulders. He kisses her neck. The clouds get dark, and it starts to rain. "Shit!" David exclaims. Chiquita immediately gets up. "Let's go inside", they go inside of his tent and David hands her a towel to dry off, "Here you go." "Thank you", she dries herself. "I think it's best to wait Chiquita. You're too valuable.." She smiles, "Thank you David. Can I keep visiting you though?" "Of course!" Aaron is swimming, and notices that Annie is on top of a huge rock. She has a towel and a bikini on underneath. "Can I join you?" She asks. "Yeah", Aaron answers reluctantly. She unwraps her towel and gets in the river. "It's been a while since I've been swimming", She laughs. "Swimming never hurt anybody", Aaron gets out of the river and walks away. "Where are you going????" Annie asks. "Back to my cabin." "Wait!" Annie gets out of the river and grabs her towel. She runs to him, "Gosh you walk so fast!" "I have long legs." "I see. Listen I wanted to talk to you about what happened yesterday. I'm truly sorry." "It's okay." "Where's your friend?" "With her friend." "What?" "There's another guy vacationing here, and she's with him." "As in?" "Yeah." "Oh okay. I had a talk with my father, and he said that we should take you and Chiquita to America with us. You can both stay in the pent house that we have. I really like you Aaron." "I like you too, but Chiquita is not coming with me to America. The tourist is taking her." "Does she know him?" "She's getting to know him, like you and me." She puts her head down, "I'm sorry." "It's okay. I'm happy to see you Annie", they hug each other. "I've missed you so much", Annie says. They kiss each other. Over time, the cabin becomes empty. Chiquita spends nights with David, and Aaron stays with Annie and her family. They barely see each other anymore. Time is coming for both parties to leave. Annie is extremely happy, and so is Aaron. He's just nervous of leaving, but he knows that it'll be better when he does. Annie's parents arranges for the ship to come to take them away. They pack all of their things. David puts all of his things in two bags, and Chiquita helps him. He tells her about life in New York, and how she would like it. She tells him that she's from New York originally, and he says that's the great thing about it. Annie's father Mitchell, gives Aaron a tuxedo to wear for the ship, and Annie combs his hair and puts it in a pony tail. They ask if there is anything that he would like to take from the cabin, and he says yes. David lets Chiquita wear one of his T-shirts and a pair of shorts, and some over sized sandals. She looks ridiculous, but cute at the same time. He asks if there's anything she would like to take from the cabin before they leave, and she says yes. They head to the cabin. Surprisingly, the two parties meet. Aaron finally sees Chiquita. Chiquita finally sees Aaron. "Well if this isn't Aaron's friend that he spoke so highly about", Annie's mother approaches Chiquita and starts to kiss her on the cheek. Chiquita fidgets and hides behind David. "She's just a little shy that's all" He smiles, "And you must be her friend, Eric?" "Aaron", he corrects. "Oh yes. Sorry." Chiquita and everyone else goes inside of the cabin and they get the things that they want. Annie's parents take pictures of the place. "We'll give these to the sociologists at Harvard so they can see how the wild men live. We'll make Aaron famous!" Mitchell jokes. "Oh Mitchell! We're giving the boy an opportunity to live a normal life, not make him famous!" "Oh Laura, can't you ever take a joke?" Aaron takes what he wants, and Chiquita takes what she wants as well. Then they depart. "Bye Aaron", Chiquita says. "Bye Chiquita." There is sadness in the both of their eyes. Annie's father puts his hand on Aaron's shoulder and escorts him out of the cabin, "Come on son." They leave. David looks at Chiquita, "Well princess, you ready to go?" "Yeah." "I know it's hard for you, but its good for you." "I know, I'm happier about the decision." "Good." David's air plane flies down, and Chiquita gets scared. "No honey, it's okay. This will take us to where we need to go." "Okay", She calms down. The men in the air plane help them to put all of their stuff on the air plane, and they close the doors. "We ready?" David asks. "Than ever! Let's get out of this dump shall we?" He flies away. Aaron stares at the air plane as it goes away. "Aaron?" Aaron turns around, "The ship is here", Annie smiles and kisses him on his cheek, "Come on." He goes on the ship with everyone else, and goes on the dock with Annie and her family. They are drinking wine. Annie's parents keep gibbering on and off about how Aaron will enjoy life in America. He looks back at the place that he used to call home. As the ship drifts off, the place gets smaller, and smaller, and smaller. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aaron is introduced to a lot of people in Boston. He is known as the young man who lived in the wilderness/island for ten years since he was a child. Annie's parents give the pictures to sociologists at Harvard, and they take Aaron's picture and put it in the book. He is invited to lectures, studies, and events all over the world. Along with Aaron's family, he travels to England, 10 other cities in America, France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, India, Mexico, South Africa, and Japan. He is a celebrity. His pictures are everywhere. Annie's family are known as the family who rescued him, and bought him out of oblivion and civilization. Oprah Winfrey invites him to her show, along with many other talk show hosts. Tyra Banks flirts with him a lot and compliments him on his hair. Many pop artists write songs about him, and give credit to him in their music. Aaron meets the Queen of England, prime ministers, and big name people all over the world. He enjoys it all, and he loves the attention, yet is nonchalant about it. He doesn't become snotty, and never forgets where he came from. Tyra Banks asked him if he would want to live on the island again, and he answers, "From what I'm seeing now, no." Oprah Winfrey asked him how was he able to survive on that island all of those years, and he answers, "When that's all you know, you just do it." Dozens of women love his appearance, his biracial light skin, his long wavy brown hair, and tall frame. He gets so much money he never has to work a job; he just attends events. Aaron and Annie get married right after she graduates from Harvard. They move not too far from her parents; into a beautiful eight bedroom house, and they have five children, all of them with colored eyes, and two of them with blonde hair. They love their children, and raise them very well. Aaron teaches them how to swim, fish, and at one point hunt, but Annie really doesn't want them to learn hunting. It's too violent, she says. "Daddy, in your past life I think you were Tarzan", one of the children say. Aaron and Annie look at each other, then laugh. He was Tarzan. Chiquita moves into David's sky rise pent house in New York. All of this is new to her, and she's scared of elevators and escalators, but David assures her that in time, she'll get used to it. He takes her out to nice dinners, buys her expensive clothes; mainly evening gowns, and he spends money on her to get her hair and nails done. He has women in the mall dress her up, and she loves it. It makes her feel extremely beautiful. He loves buying things for her, and even buys her jewelry. All of this is new to Chiquita. Being dressed up is even new to her since the only thing she has worn in many years was a bra and loin cloth, sometimes she wore nothing at all. She loves the dresses and the city life New York has to offer. Chiquita sees Aaron in a lot of newspapers, and the memories all come back. Chiquita is shy, she doesn't want David to expose her in that way. She says she doesn't want the attention, she just wants to be normal. David says he will never tell a soul, and they keep that secret to themselves. Aaron and Chiquita are walking down the street one day, window shopping, and a man approaches Chiquita and takes pictures of her.
