Endless meetings all day at the office meant that she hadn't gotten any one moment to be by herself, or to eat. "I know exactly what I'm going to do when I get home, too." Arinn sighed to herself. "I'm going to light a few candles, relax in the tub, and then watch a few romantic movies in the dark. Now all that's missing is a handsome man to watch the movies with...and to hold me..." Arinn Trinner was only 27, but she was already the CEO of her company, 'Unknown Nonsense inc.' They specialized in selling random artists and writers works. The company had 35 stores already over the country, and were in the process of expanding even more. Arinn was happy that she had the job that she did, and that it paid well, but when it came to all the meetings, that's where the fun ended. Arinn was almost shocked to death when she made out the shape of a man lying on the road, unmoving. Slamming on the tire, she honked her horn, hoping that she could wake up whoever it was. Still, the person didn't move. Eventually she gave up and got out of her car to help the person. "Hello?" she called to the body. All she got in answer was a long, low moan, that made her shiver down to her soles in terror. She tried patting the person on their back to get their attention, but that only made it worse as she pulled her blood covered hand away. Arinn was about to scream bloody murder any minute, literally. "Oh my god!" she started mumbling to herself; It was the only way that she knew to stop herself from screaming, and to make sense of things. "The man isn't dead, but he will be soon if he's loosing all that blood! Oh, god! My hand is covered in the stuff! Get a grip Arinn, this man needs your help!" Arinn reached down and picked the bloody person up. He was gurgling a little in the back of his throat, sounding like he was going to drown on his own spit. It took 10 minutes to get to the hospital, and she had called on the way, so people came out with a gurney to retreive him. They picked the still bleeding man up, putting him on the gurney and pushing it into the emergency room. She followed them until she was held back by nurses, and then followed them, sobbing, into the waiting rooms. After Arinn had been crying for a while, a nurse came over, asking her questions that she wouldn't know about. Once the nurse finally accepted that Arinn seriously didn't know the man, she was left alone again, until the cops showed up. For Arinn the night was full of unanswerable questions. ~~~*~~~ Arinn awoke early the next morning on her couch, wondering what had happened last night. When she looked down and saw that she was still in her work clothes, she headed to her room to change. Making her way to the bathroom to wash up first, she started to remember. There was a heavily bleeding man in the road that she had taken to the hospital. She had cried for most of the night, and eventually left, deciding that she desperately needed a drink. Her next hour was spent drinking her tears away. She'd been a little tipsy when she left, but she made it home safely, and fell on the sofa as soon as she got close to it. When she finally got the tub filled, Arinn relaxed and tried to take her mind off of what had happened last night. The water slipped against her skin nicely, and she leaned back in the bath a little more. Suddenly she opened her eyes to see she was in the hospital, naked, running to the room that they had placed him in, pushing past people as she went. When she got into the room, she hugged the man tightly, as a voice behind her whispered that he had just died. Arinn sat up so quickly that some of the bath water splashed onto the floor. It had just been a dream, but Arinn knew she wouldn't sleep well until she saw him again and made sure he was okay. As she dried herself off and walked to her room to get some clothes, she mumbled to herself. "This is crazy. Why do I care so much about that random bloody guy I helped? I guess I'm just curious how he is..." but even as she said that, her mind reminded her that if that was true, then she wouldn't have cried so much yesterday. Arinns car smelled of blood as she crawled inside it, and she knew there would be dried blood on the passenger seat. She looked it over to see how much had gotten on it, and found a brown wallet in the seat. "It must be his." she mumbled as she picked it up and pocketed it. She turned up the music on her radio, trying to drown out her thoughts of what she might find when she got to the hospital. She knew that this wouldn't stop until she knew whether or not the man was okay. Arinn had to wait a few minutes before a nurse came to lead her to the mans room. She wondered how he had been so badly hurt, and began to ask the nurse, but all she got out of the woman was "It would be best if you asked the doctor. He would know more than I do on the situation." Arinn opened the door to find a tall man standing near the bed, checking up on his patient. When he noticed Arinn, he shook hands with her, and said "Nice to meet you, I'm Dr. Madison. I presume that you're the young lady who found this man?" Nodding, Arinn glanced over at the sleeping form, and walked over to get a better look at him. When she saw his face she had to stifle a gasp. She hadn't really looked at him before when she had saved him. He had short, curly chestnut brown hair framing his face, and long eyelashes that rested beautifully on the tops of his cheek bones. 'Oh, my god!' Arinn squealed in her head. 'He's gorgeous!' Arinns mystery man still had bruises on his body, and was heavily bandaged on his right arm and chest, probably other places too, but at least he wasn't bloody anymore, and it seemed that he would heal. "Doctor, how serious are his injuries?" Arinn asked, almost not realizing that she had. The doctor, still standing next to her, listed his injuries. "Let's see, he had been shot twice, once in the back, and once in the right arm. He had a concussion, seems like he had the back of his head hit pretty hard. His left leg had some stab marks on the back of it, but none that were too deep, and his wrists are broken. Seems like he must have been in a fight with some pretty nasty thugs." "Yeah, sounds like he was pretty messed up. Must have been terrible trying to fix him up yesterday." Arinn said, shocking herself with how concerned she sounded. The doctor shook his head and sighed. "Yes, the surgery seemed like it would never end. I lost a lot of sleep last night working on him, but I am glad that he pulled through. He may take about a week or two come around." 'I'll stay here as long as I have to until he's well again.' she thought. 'Wait a minute...Why did I just think that? I don't even know this man, and yet I'm already pledging to stay here until he's better? Why does he mean that much to me? Maybe I'm in need of someone in my life more than I know...' The doctor said his goodbyes and left to see his other patients. Arinn sat down in the chair next to the bed and stared at the man in it. "I wonder what your name is mystery man." she said to herself. Suddenly she remembered the wallet she had found and pulled it out. 'Should I really look in his wallet?' Arinn wondered. Her curiosity got the better of her, and she opened it, revealing a number of cards. Credit cards, library cards, phone cards, and after carefully looking through them all, she found his drivers license. The license had a very handsome picture of him, flashing a content and also a tiny bit cocky smirk at the camera. Somehow the picture made her blush as if his smile were meant for her. After staring at the picture and swooning for a few minutes she looked for his name. "Chase Grande." Arinn mumbled to herself. "Chase...His name is Chase..." She put his drivers license back and closed his wallet, placing it on the table next to the bed. Arinn moved the chair she was sitting in closer to Chase's bed, and leaned over him. She lightly ran her hand over his cheek, feeling and caressing his soft skin. She jumped when his head turned towards her. Slumping backwards, Arinn stared at his face, and then put her hands over her eyes. "Chase...What happened to you? I hope you wake up soon..." ~~~*~~~ Walking into the hospital, Arinn felt happy. She was very used to coming here, as she had done since she checked up on him those two weeks ago. Chase had yet to wake up, but he was healing well, so that gave her some hope. The police had taken pictures of him, and put up posters with his name on it asking that anyone who knew him please come forward, but no one had. As she entered the familiar room, and saw his familiar face, she beamed. Putting down her things, Arinn stood next to him, one hand petting his head. "Hi Chase, I came back again to see you. You're healing really well, so you should wake up soon, okay? Please wake up." She pet his head a little while longer until he turned his head towards her. 'Oh, I wonder...if he did wake up, how would he react to me? What...what if he fell in love with me?' Arinn sat down and sighed. She hadn't gotten much sleep last night, and the room was so warm and comfy. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. Then she was in his hospital bed with her back to Chase, his arms around her, his lips on her ear. She snuggled closer as he whispered loving things in her ear to her, and said that he would never let her go, or let her get hurt. One of his hands came up to a breast and lightly squeezed it. Arinn let out a needy moan and she could feel the wet feeling between her legs growing. Chase's erection was pressing against her hip, and he was telling her how much he needed her, and how he wanted to hear her scream his name. She turned in his arms and put her head against his chest. "If you need me so badly..." she said, reaching down and cupping his member through his hospital gown, "then go ahead and take me." They kissed again as his hands moved under her skirt and touched the wet crotch of her panties. "Miss..." a voice said as Chase slipped his hand inside her underwear and circled a finger around her clit. "Miss, please wake up...miss?" Arinn was suddenly shaken and her eyes snapped open. It had just been yet another of the dreams she had been having lately about the handsome stranger lying in front of her. "I...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep; It's just been a long day. What time is it?" she asked the nurse. The nurse smiled and shook her head. "No, it's fine, it's just that I needed to know how long you plan to stay today." "I'm not sure." Arinn said as she pulled out her cell phone and checked to see if anyone had called. "I might be here for one more hour, maybe two. Is that okay?" The nurse nodded and left Arinn alone to go about her business. "Whew..." Arinn sighed. 'I need to stop having those weird dreams. I don't act like this; I'm just a concerned business woman, not some obsessed groupie of a guy who's been asleep for two weeks.' She pulled out her cell again and flipped through her numbers, coming to the one for her work place. "Maybe I need some time off of work to relax. I'm probably just really stressed and this is my body's way of relieving it." she mumbled to herself. She almost dropped her phone at the sudden deep moan from in front of her. Putting her phone in her bag, she stood up and looked down at Chase's tightly clenched eyelids. ~~~*~~~ Sorry, this is my first submission, and I don't know if I should continue posting more in this story... I want to, but if you guys say no, then I won't, okay? Please, tell me yea or nay. Thnx for reading this all the way through. Love, Guns, or Knives? Ch. 02 Chase's head hurt as he slowly regained consciousness. His eyes seemed sewn shut, and he could tell that they hadn't been opened in a while. He smelled the scent of perfume as his senses cleared. 'Where am I? That smell is damn fine, but where's it coming from?' he thought. He tried with all his might to force his eyes open, but when he did the light blinded and hurt him. He squinted his eyes and tried to ignore the pain he felt as they slowly adjusted to the light, the blurry images clearing. When his sight was finally restored, he was surprised to see a woman standing over him. 'She's beautiful!' Chase thought as he took in her shoulder length strawberry red hair and her soft, blemish free face. She had a slightly upturned nose, and luscious full lips with rosy cheeks. Her eyes caught his attention quickly, and he noticed that her left eye was blue, and her right was brown. They were framed with long, curled eyelashes, and the brown eye had a beauty mark near it. "Where..." Chase said with a hoarse voice. "Where am I? Who are ya?" As he saw her smile at him he realized that he didn't even know who he was. "Who am I?" He asked, and she frowned. Chase wanted her to smile again instead, but he couldn't think of anything that would make her. When she suddenly left him with no explanation he felt lonely, an emotion that he felt used to for some reason. Eventually the woman returned with another woman who was wearing nurses scrubs. The nurse put a hand on his forehead, and then watched the nearby machines' screen for his pulse. "You seem fine right now, but you'll be feeling real bad real fast. This young lady says you can't remember anything?" His throat hurt too much for him to try and talk again, so he nodded his head, trying once again to remember his name. The nurse left to find the doctor, and the woman from earlier stood next to him once again. She reached out and caressed his cheek with the back of her hand. Her touch made him relax, and he could feel his feeling of loneliness retreating slowly. "Oh, you poor thing you. You must feel terrible right now. Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" She asked in a sweet, caring voice that had him relaxing even more. He stared at her for a few seconds before closing his eyes and thinking. "Well," he said, his voice still hoarse, but his throat hurt less. "I suppose it would be nice ta know who I am, and who ya are." He was disappointed when she stopped her caresses, but he was too weak to protest it. She sounded timid when she finally answered his question. "I'm sorry to say this, but I don't really know you so I can't really say. But I found your wallet, and it says your name is Chase Grande. Oh, and I'm Arinn Trinner, by the way." "Well then," Chase mumbled. "It's nice ta meet ya, miss Arinn." He drifted off to sleep with the smell of strawberry scented perfume in his nose and the soft sound of her voice in his ears saying "It's nice to finally meet you too, Chase." ~~~*~~~ Chase had finally woken up! Arinn was still stunned as she drove home that day. He had had the most beautiful grayish blue eyes. When he had asked who he was, she felt a wave of concern wash over her. No one had claimed to know him, so she was worried about what he would do when he was finally released from the hospital. She felt like it was somehow her responsibility to take care of him. 'Then it's final.' she thought. 'He'll stay with me after he leaves.' She had leftovers and watched reruns of 'Green Acres' when she got home. Afterwards, she went into the bathroom and got undressed, then headed into the tub. As she soaked in the water, she let her mind wander. When her thoughts drifted to Chase, she couldn't help thinking of all the things they could do together in her tub. She had to stop herself from anymore of those thoughts before she started to try anything. "If I keep thinking like I have been and things might get awkward if he doesn't feel the same." Arinn warned herself as she climbed out of the tub. "I mean, it's bad enough that I have these thoughts while he's at the hospital. What will happen if he's right next to me when I start thinking up those fantasies again? I don't even know him, what's wrong with me?" Even as she said that she didn't know him, a small part of her mind whispered to her that she knew enough, and that knowing anymore before she fucked him was optional. ~~~*~~~ Arinn had woken up this Wednesday morning from a dream about Chase making love to her until she couldn't walk straight. The dream ran through her mind the whole time she got ready for work, and while she drove. She had a meeting scheduled for when she arrived at work, and she had almost forgotten about it until her secretary reminded her. She hadn't paid attention in the meeting, and just agreed to whatever they'd said. They had all decided at the end of the meeting to go through everything that they had agreed on again next week, just to make sure, so she would have a chance to listen then. At some point after the meeting while she sat at her desk, something in her mind awoke, and she realized that she hadn't thought straight all day. She couldn't recall a word of what anyone said in the meeting, and she didn't even know what time it was, or what else was to happen that day. She left her office and went to her secretary, claiming that she felt ill, and that she might have to take the next week or so off. Arinn didn't realize where she was going until she saw the hospital. As she walked to Chase's room, she hoped that he was awake again so that she could talk to him. She wanted to hear what his voice was supposed to sound like. When she got to his door, she could hear that the doctor was in there too. 'Damn...' Arinn thought. 'I'll have to wait to talk to Chase.' She listened through the door as the doctor and Chase talked. She couldn't help noticing as she listened in that Chase had a southern drawl. A very sexy sounding southern drawl. "Chase, I'm glad to say that you will be able to leave in about a weeks time." "I'm happy to hear that as well, doc." "Well, you may have some trouble walking for a while, and you may be sore too, but it should all get better, except..." "What doc? What's wrong?" "I'm concerned about your amnesia. It should come back eventually, but until it does, who will you stay with?" At that moment Arinn chose to enter the room, and the conversation. "You see, that's where I'll be taking over his care. If no one steps forward, then I'll take him to stay with me, if it's okay with you, Chase." she said confidently. ~~~*~~~ Chase was stunned. The beautiful woman who had saved him all those weeks ago was saving him yet again. He had been worrying for days about where he would go when he was let out, and now she had just given him one; Hers. He felt very touched by the generosity of the woman standing before him. Somehow the feeling felt very new to him; His body apparently wasn't used to feeling it. "You don't..." He began, sounding far too shocked for his own good. He calmed himself a little and then tried again. "You don't have ta do that...I don't wanna be a burden ta ya." Arinn just smiled and shook her head. "You're right. I don't have to, but I want to. Will you let me?" she asked him in a voice as sweet as honey. 'Now how can I say no ta that?' Chase smiled too, and relaxed back on the bed and rested his tube-free arm over his eyes. "Ya drive a hard bargain, don't ya miss Arinn? Sure, I'd love ta come and stay with ya until I get better." After Chase had agreed, the doctor had left to give them some time to talk, and had said he'd be back in about an hour to continue talking about what would have to happen when Chase was to be let out. After the doctor had left the room, it had grown silent. A few seconds later Chase felt a hand on his shoulder. "Chase..." He heard Arinn say. He moved his hand and placed it over the one she had put on his shoulder. "Yes? What can I do for ya little missy?" He couldn't stop staring at her eyes as she spoke; He loved how her face was so unusually...colorful. "I just wanted to know...are you really sure you want to stay with me? It's okay if you don't want to. I could lend you some money for a hotel if you want..." Arinn asked, clearly distressed. Arinn had apparently mistaken his surprise as something else. Chase frowned at how worried she sounded. Worried and...hurt. 'Damn! I made her sad. She looks like she's about ready ta cry.' "No, that ain't it. I was just shocked, that's all. Why would anyone not want ta stay with a pretty little thang like yourself?" At hearing that Arinn blushed cutely, causing Chases frown to turn into a pleased smile. 'Just more color ta her colorful face.' Love, Guns, or Knives? Ch. 03 Chase felt lonely. Arinn had left to go get some lunch, and he couldn't help but hope that she would come back quickly. The more that he had talked to her over the two hours she had been there, that more that he could tell that he was falling in love with her. Before she left they had been talking and he had asked why her eyes were different colors. "Well actually," Arinn had said, sounding a little uncertain about telling him. "It sort of runs in the family, you know? All of the girls born in the family on my mothers side have had it. I got it from my mother, she got it from her grandmother through her father, and she got it from her mother. No one knows why our eyes are two different colors, just that it's in our genes." Chase had nodded his understanding, but somehow he found himself checking her out as she talked. Arinn had a beautiful body. Curves in all the right places, soft skin, long slender legs, and a tiny belly. 'She's a knock-out.' Chase thought. 'And even better, she's a knock-out that wants me ta live with her.' Suddenly a very chilling thought crossed his mind. 'But who is she asking ta live with? Who am I?' ~~~*~~~ "I'm back!" Arinn called as she entered Chase's room. "Did you miss me Chase?" She walked over to the chair by his bed and sat down. Chase was sitting up in bed, sort of staring off into space. "Chase?" Arinn said, panicking a little inside. She put her hand on his shoulder, and he turned his head to face her. "Hey, Arinn... Let me ask ya somthing." Arinn didn't like the look on his face. It seemed...different than usual; Detached and cold. "Sure Chase, ask me anything." she said, although she wasn't sure that she wanted to be asked whatever question was clouding his mind. Chase sighed and closed his eyes. "Ya really don't have ta take me in, Arinn. I've caused ya too much trouble as is, and we don't know if I might cause ya even more. I could be a serial killer or something, and no one would know. I don't wanna remember everything only ta kill ya or something. Couldn't live with myself if I did that." Arinn felt a tear escape one of her eyes. The tear wasn't because she was scared by what he had said, no, far from it. She was crying on his behalf, because he wouldn't. Arinn leapt up, hugged Chase around the shoulders, and cried. She felt his arms circle around hers in return. "Why are ya crying Arinn? Please don't cry..." Chase mumbled, sounding concerned. Arinn tried to answer him, but she couldn't. After crying for five more minutes, Arinn finally spoke. "I just... You looked so sad, and I just couldn't help it. Chase, I do want you to stay with me, really I do. If I get hurt later because of it, well I don't care, just so long as you're safe." When she looked up at him he looked slightly confused. "Why do ya care so much about me? Ya said yourself we ain't known each other before, so why?" Chase asked. "Do ya just pity me or somethin'?" Arinn was shocked. He thought she...pitied him? She put her face right up to his, their lips only inches apart, and stared directly into his eyes. "No, I don't pity you, that isn't my reason for asking you to go home with me. I said that because I won't be able to stop worrying about you...or thinking about you... unless I know you're nearby." Chase looked like he was about to speak again, but he never got the chance to, because Arinn leaned in and pressed her mouth to his. ~~~*~~~ Chase couldn't just ignore her kiss. He kissed her back even more passionately, probing his tongue against her lips, trying to get her to open her mouth. His hand wandered under her shirt to grab a bra-covered breast. Arinn gasped when he touched her, and he went in for the kill, sweeping his tongue over hers, and memorizing her taste. Suddenly, his mind blanked out on him. All his surroundings seemed to fade into black, and he could no longer feel Arinn. A voice, barely above a whisper, spoke to him from his left. "He should of lived. If it weren't for you, he would be alive. You see why we have to kill you now, right? It's not me, it's the boss..." Chase turned to see a tall black man standing in front of him. He was in a warehouse somewhere, and light was streaming in through the windows. Chase looked down to see that his hands were bound, and that he had no shoes on. He was standing on broken glass, but that wasn't what was scaring him. No, he was scared of what the other people surrounding him were going to do to him. All ten of them had eyes filled with blood lust and anger, except for the man who had just talked. That man looked at him with eyes filled with sympathy. A sudden 'Whack' echoed against the walls as a hammer just missed his head and hit a nearby crate. That sound was the starting gun for the mauling to begin, and he ran for his life. ~~~*~~~ Arinn could tell something was wrong when Chase stopped kissing her. "Chase?" she said warily, pulling away. Chase's eyes were closed, and it seemed like he had passed out during their make-out session. "Oh, no...I hope I didn't hurt him or something." she whispered to herself, panic making her shake slightly. "Chase please, wake up!" Arinn said, now shaking him softly. She was just about to smack him when his eyes fluttered open. "Oh, Chase. You had me worried as hell, never do that again, please..." Arinn whispered as she hugged Chase tightly in her arms. When he didn't answer her, she pulled back and looked at him. His eyes were wide, and it seemed that he was pale as a ghost. She could tell that he was scared shitless, but something in him was trying to hide it. "Chase... please, tell me what's wrong?" she pleaded, hoping that he wouldn't be too proud to tell her. Chase seemed to pause a little before he took a calming breath, and then let it out. "I..." He began, his voice cracking. He turned his head away, closing his eyes before he began again. "I remembered how I was beaten... but I still don't know why. This one guy, it seemed like he knew me, kept saying thangs like 'If it weren't for you, he'd still be alive.' and 'It's not me who wants you dead, it's the boss.' Then they all came after me. My hands were tied, so I couldn' fight back, and they had bats and knives, and two of them even had guns. We both know how that ended, them tossing what they thought was my dead body by the side of the road." Arinn was shocked. Chase seemed like he was going to cry more and more with every word he spoke, but it seemed like something in him just wouldn't let him. She wanted to comfort him so badly, but she didn't know what to do; She wasn't that experienced at this. Her need to help him grew as he spoke, until she was suddenly kissing him to make him stop. When she felt him start to respond to the kiss, she sighed. 'I know that he was hurt and all, but if he keeps looking like a kicked puppy, then I might just do something I could regret.' When she hugged Chase again, and then got off his bed, Arinn could feel Chases gaze following after her. When she reached the door, she looked over her shoulder at him. She could see the slight heated look that still lingered in his eyes from their kiss, and almost wanted to rush back to him. Suddenly he frowned and asked "Why are ya leaving? Are ya mad at me or somethin'? Disgusted?" in a very hurt sounding tone. 'Oh hell...' Arinn thought, feeling really bad. 'He thinks I'm leaving 'cause of what happened just now...' Arinn walked back to Chase and kissed him once more. When they broke the kiss to breathe, she smiled at him. "I would never leave you over something like that. Didn't I already say that? The only way I'll ever leave you is if I'm dead first, and I don't die that easily." She winked at him before turning to leave again. "I was just going to go to the bathroom to freshen up. All this kissing is sorta messing with my make up." Love, Guns, or Knives? Ch. 04 So, I'm guessing you people...like this story? I guess so if you're still reading it. I'm very happy that I have a little group of faithful readers. To those of you who have e-mailed me and are waiting for a response or something, I'm sorry that I haven't answered. I just remembered to check my mail on friday, and now I feel REALLY bad. I plan to reply soon, sorry! Don't know if I mentioned this before, but I decided that I want to change "An Alphas love"... it didn't turn out the way I wanted, so I tweaked it a little. That one I will be keeping. I change my mind WAY too much. I promise I won't do it again! So, look out for "To Love The Alpha Ch.1", I plan to post it soon. I swear it'll be better than it's first draft! A week had passed. Arinn had decided to stay and work at her job, and then take her vacation. Chase had started walking again 3 days after their first kiss, but it still hurt, so when it was time to leave, Arinn had to help him walk a little. When they finally arrived at her house, Chase fell out of the car. Arinn ran over to him, worried that he may be hurt. "Chase! Are you okay?" she asked, hugging him as he shakily stood up. He shook his head and pushed her away. "I've felt worse...as ya can see." he answered, gesturing to his bandages. She glared at him for a second before she locked her car and helped him inside of her house. The house had 3 floor, so it took a while before Arinn could get Chases heavy form up the stairs to the bedroom on the top floor. She placed him delicately on her bed, and then sat down on it next to him. "So, Chase, how does it feel to be out of the hospital? What do you think?" she asked, smiling a warm smile at him. He looked up at her with half lidded eyes, and she just barely missed the glint in them as he pulled her down so that they'd be face to face with each other. Arinn shivered at the new look in his eyes, a look of mischief and something else that she couldn't make out in them. "Do ya really want ta know what I thank?" Chase replied, his mouth inches from hers. She nodded slowly, knowing that if she talked it would come out with a crack. He smiled a smile up at her that made her feel like she wouldn't live another day if she didn't kiss him soon. "I was thankin' that being in this bed would be even better if ya are laying here with me..." She didn't know how to respond. Her mind said 'No, it's too soon! You don't even know him!' but her body said 'Screw the amount of time, you know you love him, and this shows he wants you back. Do it!' Even as the two sides were fighting, she could feel her cheeks flushing, and her nipples hardening. Her body was winning and she knew it wouldn't be long before she wanted more than just his kisses. Arinn was about to kiss him when a ring of the door bell interrupted them. Chase looked slightly pissed as she attempted to move away. He stopped her by hugging her tightly to himself. "Just ignore it sweet thang. They'll leave." he said in a husky voice. She was so tempted to stay, but another ring changed her mind. "But Chase... I need to get the door. What if it's important?" Chase's arms fell off of her, and she got up quickly to scamper to the door. When Arinn opened the door and found a mailman standing there, she was slightly peeved. 'I left Chase for a package?' she thought. After signing for it, she carried it back to her room, and set it down on the bed. "I feel gypped." she mumbled, earning a surprised but happy smile from Chase. He moved closer to her, a look of curiosity on his face. "So, what did ya leave me for that has ya feeling so gypped? Ya know, I bet I could help ya with that..." She giggled at his husky sounding words before she grabbed for some scissors to open her package. The box seemed empty at first, but then she realized there was a card in it on top of another, smaller box. She opened the card and read it, walking away as Chase tried to read over her shoulder. "What is it?" he whined as she walked away. She almost told him right away, but she wanted to tease him a little. "Well, it's a package..." Arinn said, teasing. His annoyed frown was her reward. "I can see that." he growled. "Tell me, please Arinn? Come on darlin', don't tease." Arinns will to tease him left her body at the sound of his voice. "Okay...it's apparently a gift from my mother. She said she heard about you in the news, even though it was just on local news. I swear, she spies on me from the comfort of her house. It bothers me how she finds out all the stuff she does about me. She's done stuff like this ever since I left home. Anyway, she says she'd like to meet the young man who has me so, as she put it, enamored." She peeked over her shoulder at him, wanting to see how he reacted to what she had just said. He was smiling a sly smile at her, and she was almost afraid to hear what he was thinking. Chase waved her over to sit next to him. He hugged her from the side, and kissed her cheek, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Do ya wanna know a secret?" he whispered, sending a shiver through her. She nodded, not turning to look at him, afraid of what she might do if she saw his face so close to hers. "Well, if ya really wanna know...I'm real enamored with ya myself." ~~~*~~~ He didn't know how long he would be able to be near her before he would pull her down and fuck her. His member was getting so hard that it hurt. 'I'll probably scare her if I try anything so soon.' he thought to himself, sighing as he did so. When he felt her shiver from the feel of the sigh against her ear, he smirked. 'Or maybe not.' "Sweet thang, do ya know what ya do ta me?" Chase ventured, hoping it wouldn't make her shy away from him. "N-no... What do I do to you?" she replied, her breathing sounded labored and a blush spreading across her face. This spurred him on, as he pushed her softly down, making her lay on the bed. He climbed over her, pinning her down. "Ya make me want ta fuck your little cunny 'till ya can't think of nothing but me." A sudden crash downstairs had them pausing to listen. When no other sounds where heard, Arinn crawled from under him and walked towards the door. Chase followed her until they came to the bottom of the stairs. There, in the middle of the living room was a brick with a note tied to it. Arinn picked it up and untied the note. Chase took the brick from her and let her unfold the note. When she gasped and turned pale he dropped the brick and grabbed her shoulders, reading the note from behind her. Chase read aloud the second time he read it, sounding scared and angry all at once. "We know ya are in there Chase, so don't even try ta run. If we don't see your ass in our warehouse by next week then we'll come and get ya. Ya wouldn't want us ta try anything with your girl there, now would ya?" He let go of Arinns shoulders and shook his head. "That ain't right. Those men are going too far. Arinn, I won't let them touch ya, I swear it. Not while I'm alive will any danger come ta ya." He knew she was close to tears, and he hugged her. She looked up at him and smiled a shaky smile. "Chase..." she said, her voice cracking. "I'm scared, yes, but I won't let it change my life, or our relationship. Just promise me that you won't leave my side, no matter what, and I'll be safe." she reached up and put her hand on his cheek. "I want you to know...this is weird, but I think I love you." His heart skipped a beat when her confession reached his ears. She loved him! "Ya love me? Arinn, I..." he said before another crash from outside the house interrupted him. "What the...?" he whispered before he sprinted over to the window. He could see a man running away from the house, and could see broken glass near Arinns car. Arinn joined him at the window and seemed to notice the smashed car window too. "Doll, I'll be right back." he mumbled before he ran off. When he got to the car, he could see the huge hole in the glass of the window, and another brick with a note and keys attached. "Why the hell do they keep throwing bricks?" he said to himself, agitated. Then, turning towards the window Arinn was at, he held the brick up in the air. "Arinn! It's another brick!" When she disappeared from the window and came out the front door, he handed her the brick and the note. "What do ya thank this one says?" he asked as she slowly openned the note. "I don't know..." she replied. Arinn was quiet as she read, and then handed it to him. "I think this might be a set up, but..." she warned as he read the note. It read 'Chase, I had to do it for my family, you know? I didn't want to hurt you, but I had to. I made sure that they didn't find your car; You'll be needing it.' "Arinn," Chase began as he read the directions on the note that lead to where his car was said to be. "Do ya remember that guy that I told ya about who seemed to know me?" Arinn was quiet for a few seconds before she finally answered. "You think the man is trying to help you or something? Why would he? Yes, I remember you said that it seemed like he was being forced to do it, and this note confirms that fact, but why would he jepurdise himself like this? It could be a trap." Chase could see the reasoning behind Arinns words, but he also knew that if it was a trap, that the type of people they were dealing with would have threatened him with something, like they already had. "They don't need a trap, remember? They already threatened us, so why make a trap too? Honestly, I don't thank the people we're dealing with are all that bright." She giggled at that, but turned serious quickly. Arinn leaned against the car, looking like she was trying to reason out something with herself. "Yea, I agree. Okay then, if you think it isn't a trap, what should we do? I still think it could be one, but if you go to check it out, then I'll go too. We should be careful, just in case." Chase walked to the house and went inside, with Arinn following him. When she closed the front door he turned around and hugged her tightly to himself. "Arinn, even though all this stuff is happening ta me, you're still willing ta stay with me?" he whispered into her ear, his mouth meer inches away. He felt her nod, and he hugged her even tighter. "Thank ya, I needed that. I just have one more question: Why? Ya don't have ta, really.Ya could get hurt or somethin'." "We already talked about this, Chase. I want to help you through this because I love you. I also already told you that I don't care if I get hurt, just so long as I know you're safe. I'd get worried if I didn't go. I won't let something bad happen to you unless it's over my dead body, and I'm not easy to kill." ~~~*~~~ Chase knew he was ill prepared as he stood in Arinns' living room waiting for her to get back from the bathroom. He didn't want her to get hurt, but she wanted to go. If it really was just a trap, then he wouldn't be able to protect her. Sighing, he wondered what was taking her so long. As he headed up the stairs to find her, he heard mumbling. "What should I do?" Chase could hear Arinn saying. "If I do help, then he'll find out, but if I don't... oh god, what if he leaves me because of this? No, he wouldn't, would he? Either way, I should help the ones I love. I just wish I had remembered that all those years ago..." Chase had no idea what she could be mumbling about. Who did she mean by 'He'? Was she talking about him or some other guy? Was she cheating on somebody with him? Chase shook his head and continued up the stairs. He knew better than to make assumptions about people. 'I bet I was raised better than that! Don't just assume thangs about her. It's not like you've known her that long, so stop it. There's a lot ya don't know, especially with a missin' memory.' When he knocked on the door he could hear her gasp in shock. "Arinn? Ya okay in there? Ya've been in there for a while..." Feet pounded over to the door, and it opened up to a smiling Arinn. "No, nothing's wrong Chase, I just got... distracted, that's all. I'm sorry I worried you." She leaned closer and quickly kissed him. "Let's go." ~~~*~~~ "We're here." Arinn announced as they arrived at the place the note said that Chases car would be. Chase opened his car door and stepped out, looking around. "Does the note say which one's mine?" Chase asked as he headed towards Arinns side of the car. She stepped out too, and shook her head. "Nope. I think the man doesn't know you don't remember anything." she answered. Chase walked through the large grouping of cars that seemed to litter the parking lot. They appeared to be at a bus station, so that subtracted from the possibility that there may be a secret attack involved. He looked at the cars he passed carefully, trying to remember which one was his. When he got to the far back of the parking lot, he blanked out for a second. Slowly, a picture appeared. It was him sitting inside of a black SUV. He could hear music playing in the background, and himself singing along. Suddenly Chase was shaken back to attention, and could tell that he had worried Arinn. "Darlin'," he said, leaning in and kissing her cheek. "I just remembered which car I drive. It's a black SUV with tinted windows. Seen one?" Arinn seemed to relax a little, and she seemed more hopeful as she thought. "Um... Yeah, there's one right there." she answered, pointing a little ways down the lot. "Is that it?" Chase tried the keys on the car that Arinn had pointed to. The car door opened when he pulled on it, and he climbed inside of the drivers seat. He pushed a button that unlocked all the other car doors and then opened the door that led into the back of the car. When Chase saw the contents of the backseat, he gasped, but was still strangely calm. "Honey, ya might wanna see the back of my car." he called back to Arinn, who walked over to him. Instead of gasping, Arinn just cocked her head. "Wow, you have some nice guns in the back of your car." she said, poking one. When she noticed how he was staring at her, she shot him a confused look. "What? What are you looking at me like that for?" Arinn asked, slightly annoyed. "Well Darlin'," Chase began, a slightly baffled smile forming on his face, "Ya don't seem half as bothered by this as I thank ya should be. I have riffles in the backseat of my car. And bullets. And a bullet proof vest. Hell, I have hand granades in there too. Don'cha thank that's a little... I dunno, WEIRD?" Arinn just smiled sweetly at him and shook her head. "No, I don't. I grew up with a lot of dangerous shit littering my life. I blame all the stuff my parents used to do. But I guess I'm used to it. You see, they... well, they got into a lot of fights with very unreputable people." Chase was utterly shocked by her confession. His sweet little Arinn grew up in a violent house hold? He had so many questions about that, but he refrained from asking them, for the sake of not seeming nosy. "Um... I won't even ask about that Arinn, just so long as ya are okay. What should we do now?" Arinn started walking away from him, and eventually turned around, yelling to follow her back home.
