She shut her eyes, stretched and yawned. A refreshing wave of peace and relaxation came over her and she wanted to nestle back into sleep smothered in her blankets. Her eyes opened again, hoping it was pouring rain so she could have an excuse to just lay around all day. Katie frowned when she turned to look out her window...it was gone. Slowly, she took in the sight of... a room that was not hers. She also took note that she was completely naked. She shot up, trying hard to recollect how she got whatever she was at. Memories crashed into her brain and she winced. Lucas. Wine. Making out. His apartment. Sex. Katie fearfully looked over and sure enough there laid Lucas, resting soundly. At least she hoped because she had to get the hell out of his apartment fast. Carefully, she got out of his bed and picked up her clothing that was haphazardly thrown about his room. With each step, Katie looked at Lucas praying he didn't wake up. Please God, just let me get out of here and I swear I will not have sex until I am married! She thought. Okay, that probably wasn't going to happen, but she promised never to have sex with someone she barely knew. Ideally. Once dressed, she took a quick glance in the bathroom mirror and gasped. Her lips were bright red, a small hickey throbbed on her shoulder and she could feel scabbed nail marks stinging on her back. Her dark brown hair, that she worked so hard on yesterday, was now a fro. Luckily, her makeup stayed on reasonably well. Kind of. She straightened her clothes and pawed at her hair. This was as good as it was going to get, she thought. Once out of his bedroom, Katie had to worry about roommates. She listened for sounds like footsteps, water, breathing, any remote sign of life. Nothing. Not a sound. She cautiously tip toed to the door but not before a loud grunt stopped her in mid step. She gave a loud gasp and slapped a hand over her mouth. A guy, who she could only guess was his roommate, lay on the couch half naked and passed out with a gallon of orange juice still in his grasp and Jack in the Box wrappers all over the coffee table. Katie tried not to gag at the sight and bolted out of the door. Just as her foot reached the last step of Lucas's apartment complex, with the exit door in sight, a younger guy walked through the front door. His 5 o'clock shadow gave him a sexy rugged look but the red bags under his eyes and crumpled clothing made one reconsider. He nodded and Katie gave a quick smile. She thought she might have seen him somewhere, but at the moment she probably would think that about just anyone. With her luck, that was a pastor that knew her mom and seen pictures of Katie at her parent's house and just saw Katie Garling strutting the walk of shame. She was by no means religious and neither was her family but what if they took a startling turn in the past week? You just never know! But, that aside, she really just had to work on never seeing Lucas or running into him. Ever again. Sleeping with a guy in the class you are a TA for wasn't the best way to accomplish said goal. Jackass! Her moral compass reminded her. Fuck, what the hell were you thinking?? Katie scolded herself. But flashes of their night came like unwanted lightening. The dark room with the tinge of blue from his window illuminating them just enough. His heavy breath on her ear, his fingers clutching her hips as she rode him. She could still feel her nails clawing into his shoulders, her teeth sinking into the fleshy part of his neck. It was hard to regret a night of hot and heavy sex with a guy who was charming enough to get Katie in the sack within an 8 hour period. Coffee, she thought. Get some coffee! Take your mind off of him. Last night is a night better left forgotten. You will carry on like nothing happened and never speak of the event ever again. Ever. She had to work at the library today for the first time, she didn't want to. Maybe at work she could just stay in the back mending for today. Or forever. The dim lighting worked well with hangovers and the lack of patronage was another strong appeal. Lucas came into the library a lot, even on Saturdays. Maybe she should just call in, which she never had done but, she never did one night stands either, so maybe this weekend will be a long line of firsts. With a deep breath, she took in Seattle. The early mornings were beautiful, even when the skies were cloudy and overcast. You have to love the rainy days when you live in Seattle, otherwise you'd never get out of the house and see all it had to offer. But days when the skies were clear and the sun warmed everything were perfect and peaceful. Katie reached her apartment and made a bee line for the shower. Stripping off her cardigan, she could smell his cologne mixed with his natural scent. She couldn't resist. Katie buried her face in the cardigan and inhaled. Jesus, he smelled good. REALLY good. There wasn't much about him that wasn't good, she joked. Fuck! Stop! As she peeled off her clothes, she saw her ass had just the faintest pink tinge to it. He wasn't a full on spanker, but he added one in that was notable. Her neck was a deep red and kind of stung from his stumble. Her hips were red too, where he gripped her when she was fucking him. The first time. As she smelled the cardigan one more time, she thought maybe she should nap before taking a shower. Katie didn't have to be into work until 3 so she had time. But in reality, Katie didn't want to admit that rolling around in his smell was the real reason. ********* Lucas slowly crept out of sleep as the sound of pots and pans came blasting from the kitchen. He instinctively rolled over to put an arm around Katie and offer to save water by showering together. Lucas found a cold, crumpled spot where Katie once laid. He bolted up and noticed the trail of clothes gone. There was no note, no number, no sign of return. She left? He thought, still unable to process. Why would she leave? Did she leave? Maybe she is the one making all the noise in the kitchen! He stumbled out of bed, threw on his pajama bottoms and stormed out of his room. His roommate, Jake, stood over the stove making eggs while Dean snored on the couch. Lucas's heart sank. "Did you see anyone leave?" Lucas asked "No. Why?" He sighed "No reason. Have you seen a note or anything? A number written anywhere?" "Nope." His roommate said nonchalantly. "Oh, but dude. I saw the librarian chick leaving the building. You think some lucky bastard gave her the walk of shame? God what I wouldn't give to be that guy. But, she looked too put together to be rocking a walk of shame. Sluts typically don't wear those sweater things" Lucas knew how she looked in that cardigan all too well. And how she looked with it off. And how she tasted. Every. Inch. Lucas bit his lip and ran his hand through his hair. Fuck. He got used. Or maybe she couldn't find anything to write on. Or maybe she just went to get coffee. She might come back any minute. Jesus, he sounded like every girl he'd used. Why did he care? "You get some action last night?" Jake asked "Not enough" He said and walked back in his room. ******* Katie sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the floor. Why of all people did she decide to sleep with Lucas? Lucas slept with every stick figured model who had an invisible sign on them that said "open all night." He is probably scrubbing his skin off right now telling himself to never drink again at the thought of her naked. Hell, Katie didn't even like the view of her naked, she didn't expect anyone else to! Katie was no stick and far from a model. She had shoulder length brown hair, medium build with just the slightest amount of cushion. Her boobs weren't anything impressive, sure they filled out a shirt nice but outside of a bra was nothing to ogle at. Her frame wasn't super curvy either. Her make-up was light but wore enough to know it was there. She proudly sported cardigans with t-shirts and rectangular glasses that she pushed up on a regular basis. She never wore strapy high heals, tight jeans against tan skin and a skimpy top that left men's mouths watering. And she never would, not even for Lucas. She was just Katie. The aspiring librarian who watched old episodes of How I Met Your Mother and Gilmore Girls while painting her toe nails because she is too poor for a pedicure. Katie, who sat with her roommates at local bistros sipping espresso and discussing the pros of being in reference instead of cataloging. They got drunk at the wine bars down the street because they had the best Riesling and artichoke dip. Why would a guy like Lucas even think about flirting, let alone sleeping, with someone like her? The need for indiscriminate ass that accompanies alcohol, no doubt. At least she left before he could act like she was as disposable as she felt. But, she couldn't deny that she'd had the best time in a long time. They laughed over stupid things, quoted TV shows, talked about books. And, he wasn't too bad in bed either. Okay, he was fucking phenomenal. His hands, his mouth... Jesus he knew how to use each one...sometimes at the same time. And yet, her heart stung at the fact that she fell for his charm. Like a thousand girls before and thousands after her. One of many and she hated it. She hated feeling so good and well rested on only 2 hours, if that, of sleep. She hated reliving last night and still laughing at his jokes. She hated him for making her want him so bad. She had said things so dirty she blushed at the recollection. He didn't keep quiet either. They must of gone at it 5 or 6 times in a 5 hour period. Or was it a 4 hour period? She couldn't remember. Their stamina was mind boggling. They switched from slow and intimate to hard and fast. The foreplay was....okay. It got things started but it didn't compare to the big show. The day started off so simple. She was grabbing a quick hot coca and chocolate croissant on the corner of Pike Place while reading. Just then, Lucas came into the line as she was waiting and struck up a conversation by asking about the papers. "So, just ballpark, when do you think we'll get those papers back?" He asked with a skin melting smile. "Um, what papers?" Katie nearly jumped out of her skin when he spoke. She was off thinking about tonight's episode of Tosh.O and the delicious snakes Maddy, her roommate was going to whip up. There stood Lucas, the hot guy who sat in the west stacks on the 1st floor. The guy who all of the student workers giggled about whenever he walked in. Katie always pretended he wasn't her type and "not that great" but she had to admit, the guy was fucking hot. Even more so close up. Lucas wore a plaid shirt that fit him perfectly and he only buttoned a few buttons in the center. His jeans fit him so well, he might as well be modeling them. His frame wasn't ripped muscles and veiny forearms, but he was well formed and didn't look he just crawled out of a McDonalds. His brown hair was messy yet carelessly stylish. But what Katie loved most was that angular jaw. "I'm in Professor Lee's class, sorry" He said after she looked at him like he was speaking Dutch. "Monday. I just got done entering the grades." She paid for her hot coca and croissant. "You don't happen to remember what I got do you? I mean, I am the best student in the class, after all and I'm the teacher's favorite. Naturally my name would stand out" Katie knew he was joking but she just couldn't stand that inflated ego. "I can't say that I recall. I'm sorry. But, noted none the less." She raised her cup to him and turned to walk off. "I'll forgive you" Her eyes widened and gave him a quick roll, getting tired of his ego quickly. This was her time to enjoy the bakery before her roommates started their night. Tonight they were going to watch Grey's Anatomy followed by a game then Tosh. The game always ended up being Boggle. Yes, she was a loser through and through, but her roommates were too. "Much appreciated. I will see you on Monday" "Lucas." "Excuse me?" Katie looked around, confused. "My name is Lucas. Not that you asked" His mouth pulled at one corner and the entire look conveyed a cockiness that Katie couldn't stand in men. "Again, my apologies. Lucas. I will see you Monday." She finally was able to sit at the bar table, facing the Market. "So, just out of curiosity. What would you say the class average was?" Katie bit her lip, then swallowed her irritation and gave Lucas a forced smile. "The overall grade was fair. Are we done with the questions or should I prepare for an Inquisition?" She snapped. He smiled and she could feel the irritation bubbling up another notch. He slid onto the stool beside her, and set his drink down. "You know, you seem so friendly and approachable in class and at the library. This contrast is strange" "I'm sorry you are disillusioned." She said blandly, opening her book. "How can you work two jobs and go to school?" "I'm a wizard" He laughed "Smart, cute and a sense of humor. So rare" She rolled her eyes "Wow, that line doesn't sound rehearsed. How novel. Why don't you enlighten with the depths of your zodiac sign, your love of moonlit walks on the beach and midnight spooning, Barney. I'll be sure to put that on my resume" She said the last part to pack a punch. He smiled. "Okay, okay. No game but only because you referenced How I Met Your Mother. Otherwise, it would have been a long night." He paused. "At least tell me what you are reading" "The Stubborn Twig" Her hot coca was amazing, but it could use more foam. Stingy bastards, hoarding the foam. "Have you seen the documentary about the Yasui family? It was nominated for an Academy Award. It's great to watch after you've read the book because you can put the stories to the faces." And from there, they got into their favorite books which somehow led to wines which led to a wine bar which led to drinking which led to laughing which led to kissing then making out against the wall outside of the bar. But, in the throws of a kiss so hot, her skin could melt, she did stop him "Um, I think I should go home" She said, trying to catch her breath as he did the same. Her body ached against his and every nerve in her body was screaming not to stop. One hand rested on his chest while the other one traced over her mouth. If she even looked at him, or even his mouth, she'd lose control. "You're right, we should slow down. But let's just go back in. It's 9 on a Friday night. We don't even have to drink, we could go have coffee or whatever." Jesus, even his voice was turning her on. That last linger in 'whatever' was drawn out just enough to make her wonder what whatever was to him. Katie smiled and knew she didn't want to leave either. She did want to hang out with him... just not naked. Okay, okay, she wanted to hang out naked but she shouldn't! "Okay." She sighed and choked on her wicked flash of dragging him into a dark alley for a beat. "Let's go to the wine bar on Phinney. They have a Merlot that is amazing with bruschetta." A wide smile from him told her the answer. They walked slowly, laughing loudly at each other. "Wait, did you serious watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer? I feel like I just caught my parents eating the jelly beans we set out for the Easter Bunny. My opinion of you is crumbling." She smiled and forced herself not to look at his stupid fucking sexy as hell grin. "Screw you! It's a shameless addiction. I attest to my love for female ass kicking accompanied by witty dialogue" She spat with a smile and gave him a shove and noticed the taught skin over muscle." At least I don't devote an entire weekend to watching the director's cut of Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Do you follow that with a passionate night of W.O.W. or with some Vaseline and a life sized cardboard Frodo?" "Who uses Vaseline?!" He exclaimed as they reached the wine bar. It was crowded and loud and perfect. They squeezed through and somehow managed to catch a table. "This merlot and bruschetta better be mind-blowing after the LOTR comment." The bar was crowded and the table was small. They sat close, knees scraping against one another's. He had to put his mouth close to her ear as he said that and chills ran down her spine at the feel of his breath on her ear. "Prepare to be fully blown" She shot back, making sure to give a small breath on his ear lobe. She swore she felt him shudder, but maybe there was a draft. She started howling at the remark that was heavy with the sexual connotation. He choked on his water. Katie wasn't normally so flirtatious or insinuative but with her radiating buzz and his unbearable charm, how could she not? Their wine and food came with a waitress that was drooling over Lucas. She was curvy and voluptuous with blonde and black streaks and an edgy haircut to boot. Her makeup was flawless and dramatic and colorful. Katie bet she knew next to nothing about wine and only served on weekends for the tips. But somehow her lack of wine knowledge didn't lessen the any of her sex appeal. She knew better than to compete with the likes of those girls. The waitress's cleavage spilled over her shirt and into Lucas's face. Katie looked down at her situation and knew her own boobs would never be up for the challenge. What did that matter anyway? She wasn't trying to impress Lucas...right? After placing the food down, the waitress put her arm on the table and leaned in close to Lucas. "Can I get you....anything...else. Anything. At. All?" She smiled, running one finger down Lucas's arm. She obviously cared little, if at all, about Katie's presence. There was no way anyone in this bar would think the two of them could be on a date. Katie, she told herself, you are a nerdy spinster who dresses like a nun compared to her and he is quarter back of the football team. She paused....but fuck high school! Yet, the thought didn't make it any less true. He was out of her league. Lucas gave an awkward smile "Actually, yes. Can you tell me which appellation this merlot comes from?" Her head cocked back, unprepared for the question. Confusion flooded her noticeably. "Umm" She looked taken a back "'I'll.... Go.... Ask, I guess" She said "Don't bother. It's on the label. Bye" He turned his body away from her and she stormed off. Katie grabbed a bruschetta shoved it inches from his mouth "Eat. Now." She demanded, pretending not to be the slightest bit jealous of Blondie McBigboobs. Truth be told, she was jealous. It was a reminder of how a guy like Lucas would never see Katie as anything more than a one night stand and she'd probably be one of many before and many after. Katie couldn't – and wouldn't – compete with girls like that. Lucas just shrugged the waitress off because he wanted to sleep with Katie tonight and would probably come back for the waitress tomorrow night. Katie knew this, but why did it bother her so much? Probably alcohol giving her too much confidence. Speaking of which, she could use another glass. She wasn't going to sleep with Lucas after all and was having too much fun to let McBigboobs destroy the awesome night. He bit into the bread and she let go "Mmm, wow." Lucas looked astonished "I've had way better." "Silly me for assuming you had a developed palate. Pity really." She sighed and sipped the delectable Merlot. "Alright, alright. Jokes aside, this is, by far, the best bruschetta I've ever had" He took a sip of the Merlot too and nodded in approval. "Naturally" She shrugged and enjoyed one herself followed by a sip of Merlot. "I am never wrong when it comes to wine and food pairings. It's a gift. That and my impeccable taste in TV shows" She joked, taking a deep drink of the Merlot and nearly moaning. She loved wine and the beautiful buzz that accompanied it. Katie's Escape Ch. 02 "LUCAS!" Sam shouted just as her and Katie stepped around the corner of their apartment street. "Sam! Shut up! I didn't tell you so you could be a walking advertisement!" Katie scolded her loud mouthed roommate. "Sorry" She said, looking around "But, I mean. That is a bragging right. He is hot. I mean, the way he wears those jeans, he is practically begging to be thrown down and f-" Katie rolled her eyes but couldn't help feel thrilled at Sam's appraise. "Jesus, I seriously think you were born with the wrong set of chromosomes sometimes." "Oh please, everyone thinks this way, I just say it out loud." Katie sighed, knowing Sam had a point. "Well anyway, how many other girls felt bragging rights? I'm just another number to him. Let's face it, I mean, girls like me don't get guys like Lucas! I get guys like Jason, Kevin and Cedric." "I have hated every guy you seriously dated." Sam pondered thoughtfully "Jason was a slob, Kevin acted like he was 5 and just found his dick and Cedric still hasn't found his dick." Katie cracked up. Sam had a way with words unlike anyone she'd ever met. It was by sheer luck that they happened to become roommates. They sat by each other at University orientation for the Masters in Library Science program, got to talking and Sam needed a room while Katie needed a roommate. They met their other roommate Maddy by finding a flyer asking for two roommates and offered ridiculously low rent. Katie forfeited her security deposit at the other place and they moved in with Maddy that week. The rest was history. "Yes I know, we've spent many a night talking of our distastes in each other's male companions. Need I bring up George?" Katie asked, deliberately making Sam's eye twitch. Sam was weary of the male population as a whole because of George. Now, Sam just talked about men like they were meat, yet if one approached they would be bombarded with sarcasm and indifference. "Touche, asshole." Sam paused for a moment, then started jumping up and down "So, all that aside. How was he?" Sam had a devilish smile on her face that made Katie both laugh and blush. "Come on! You can't hold this information back on me. You silently agreed to spill everything the moment you uttered his name." Katie sighed "Good Lord, you are sick. Living vicariously through my sexual conquests, are we?" Katie was stalling but knew she was going to tell Sam everything. Sam didn't forget about this stuff. "Oh please, you get laid less than I do. Now, shut up and keep talking" Katie's cheeks flushed deep red. " Ugh! Ok. Fine. It was....fucking amazing." Katie said and wondered how much longer until she had that long awaited cup of coffee. Katie froze in mid-step, unwilling to move another inch. "Ok, now give me the details." Sam said, turning to the absence of Katie. She looked back at a face frozen and pale. "What?" Sam exclaimed, her beautiful features contorted in confusion. Katie looked at Sam and violently shoved her into an antique store. A loud bell rang and an old woman's voice shouted "Hello!" "Katie, what the..." "Lucas! He is going into OUR coffee place! Great, now I can never go to our favorite coffee place, it's forever tainted." She sighed and cursed herself "I'm never having another one night stand. Great sex is not worth our sacred coffee place." Katie and Sam jumped when the old woman cleared her throat. Yeah, she just heard that. "Anything I can help you ladies with?" The old woman said with a less than approving tone. Her eyes seared into Katie as though she had a scarlet letter across her chest. "Um, yes. I'm looking for a.....ummmm..." Katie searched for any word to come to her head "Dress makers doll. I've been looking all morning and I can't find a good, used dressmaker's form." The woman's eyes lit up "Oh! Well, you are in luck dear! I have beautiful one just over here" Sam looked at Katie in confusion, and all Katie could do was shrug. The lady turned around and got lost in the abyss of old rocking chairs and tables with chipping paint. They promptly bolted out of the door and ran a few stores down. It was mean, but Katie wasn't about to be guilted into buying a dress form. But, then again, Maddy would have loved it. Oh well. "Is he gone?" Sam asked "I don't know! What if he is meeting someone there or something?" "Relax." Sam said "I will get our coffees and you will go to the doughnut shop and buy me a banana nut muffin because I am an amazing friend who just happens to love nuts." Katie laughed and thanked whoever was looking down on the world that she had someone like Sam to deal with these situations. As Sam left, Katie's mind wondered straight into last night's memories that she was trying so hard not to think about... ************** She padded bare foot out of the bathroom, sheet wrapped around her. "Your bathroom is surprisingly clean for a guy's. Does your mother come to clean it?" She crawled onto the bed, clutching the sheet tight to her naked body. Her buzz was wearing off along with the confidence in her naked form. "No, surprisingly." He grabbed at the sheet and pulled while Katie fought in vain. "You see, I had a master plan. I cleaned it beforehand because I followed you to that French bakery..." "Shut up! You did not" He finally stripped the sheet from her grasp much to her chagrin and threw it across the room. She scrambled off the bed to get retrieve it just to annoy him but he tackled and pinned her to the bed, leaving her immobile. Lucas buried his stubbled chin into her neck while she squealed and fought. "That hurts!" She laughed while weakly fending him off. Somehow pushed him hard enough to make him fall off of the bed. She heard a loud thump and a groan. "Oh my god!" Katie exclaimed "Are you ok?" She couldn't' see a thing as she looked over the edge of the bed and no noise sounded either. Then, suddenly, his hand gripped her arm and pulled her down on top of him none too gracefully. It took her a moment to situate herself but once she did, she started playfully pinching and lightly hitting while he fended her off. "Do you think Frodo is going to be jealous because you aren't spending enough time with him?" She joked while they grappled. "Ohhh, I see how it is." He said as he tickled her sides. She squealed again and giggled until the front door to the apartment slammed shut. Katie's laughing stopped and she eyed Lucas with a questioning stare. "Hello?" A belligerent male voice called out. "Shit!" Lucas tensed and his face had a deep look of concern. Katie panicked. "It's Buffy! Hell has opened up and it's up to you to close it, Katie!" She went back to hitting him instantly. "No, It's Frodo! He's come to fight me to the death for your affections!" He rolled Katie over and they started kissing again. He pulled away suddenly, studied her face and smoothed her hair back. "What?" She said softly. Katie fought hard to not get lost in his stare and she wrecked her brain for something to break the moment. "Are you wondering if I would object plastering on elf ears?" She said seriously. His gaze lightened and they started kissing again. ***************** "What took you so long?" Katie snatched the hot coca from Sam's hand and took a sip "Oh." She said and glanced at the cup. "Wow. They got it the right temperature! Shocking." "This d-bag ordered like 19 coffees and the left side of the pastry case. Needless to say, it took a while." Sam paused "Now hand me my delicious, nutty sensation and let's get down to dirty details before we get on the bus" Katie didn't want to talk about the night. By talking about it, she would be acknowledging just how amazing it was, how it would never happen again, and how stupid she felt for doing it. But she had to because Sam would never drop it. "Well, we went to his place, obviously. The moment we walked in, well even before that, we were attached at the mouth and blindly making our way to his room..." Katie slammed Lucas against the hallway wall one more time and he moaned. They did this off and on through the entire walk. He pulled away and dragged her to his front door. She had her hands all over him which seemed to make him fumble with his keys. Once inside, he pulled her close and picked her up by the waist while whirling her around. They were knocking things over trying to make it to his room, but neither one paid any attention. His bedroom door swung wide open and their hands were frantic, mouths devouring flesh. They wasted no time to claw off each other's clothing until they were both naked. Lucas unexpectantly picked up Katie and wrapped her legs around his waist. He slammed her up against the wall and she went crazy, brutally devouring his mouth, her hands demanding and sadistic. His teeth ran along her collar bone, followed by impatient kisses travelling up to her ear. "How do you like to be fucked?" He whispered, the air of his breath rinsing over her spine. Breathless and horny as hell, Katie couldn't find the words to respond. No one had ever asked before nor did it ever occur to her to specify. He gave her soft kisses on the throat, awaiting her answer. He smiled against her ear "Are you getting shy on me?" Katie didn't know what to say. She didn't even think people actually did dirty talking. Wasn't that just in porn? But, at the moment, she didn't care. "I want to be on top" She shot back and thinking about all the other things she wanted to whisper in his ear. And, before she knew it, they weren't thoughts anymore, they soft spoken promises making him so hard blood no longer pumped anywhere but south and she swore he blushed just a bit. Katie gripped his hair and hovered over his mouth, coming in so close for a kiss then backing away. Her finger traced along his flushed bottom lip then carefully ran it over his tongue. Lucas's eyes were heavy and glazed over she noticed as her gaze slowly came up from his mouth. She gave him a lazy yet sexy as fuck grin. He lost it and violently dropped her on the bed, soon crashing his weight down onto her. Katie didn't want foreplay or playful rolling around, she just wanted to fuck and wanted it more than she ever wanted to in her life. They grinded against each other furiously and Katie had finally had enough. She shoved him on his back, and gripped him while a deep, nearly feral look swept over her eyes. His back shot straight up, catching her off guard and flipped her over again while swallowing her protests with an invasive kiss that melted her. Lucas blew in her ear while his hand smoothed over her mound. She clawed at him, wanting so badly for him to just fuck her, but he didn't. Lucas continued to lick her ear lobe then blow in rhythm with one finger threatening to end the wait that she was mentally begging for. "Fuck, I can't wait to taste you" He whispered, micking her earlier teasing kiss. She was whimpering underneath his lips, clawing at his back and her mind was lost in the craving. "I want you inside of me" she whispered against his mouth, hating how desperate she sounded for him. Helplessness, greed, and desire danced over her face but he seemed to enjoy every bit of it. "We have all night for that" He retorted, and placed soft kisses along her throat, her collar bone and kept trailing down. His mouth gently sucked her nipple, so soft it was torture then scraped his teeth over one, then moved to the other. Katie writhed and moaned and hated how he was dragging it out yet didn't even think about telling him to stop. Their eyes met as his tongue flattened over hardened nipple. She bucked and twisted beneath him. But, again, he didn't stop. Katie couldn't handle the torture as his mouth trailed down, tongue circling her belly button and his gaze traveling up every so often.... "Whoa. He went down on you right off the bat?" Sam exclaimed, once again is a public area. "Why didn't you marry him right then? Or was he bad at it? I swear George thought that giving a girl head was like bobbing for apples" "I don't really know how I feel about the analogy, Sam" Katie said, stuffing a piece of warm lemon pound cake in her mouth. "Well, my vagina can tell you in graphic detail how she feels about it" "I wouldn't say he was bad, per say. He was.... I don't know...adequate? Let's just say it's not his strong suit. It got the ball rolling but it didn't shatter the glass." "Mmmm, I would have expected better." "Well, when he went... down on me it was weird. Like he kept switching techniques and it was so hard to enjoy any one thing because right when I would start to enjoy it, he would start doing something else. And then when I finally got him away from that area, down south was like a humid summer of saliva" "That's when you start to give him orders. They love that shit. Plus, you can't be too wet down there. I don't know about you, but I don't have an endless supply. Sometimes a little extra goes a long way." "Well, I can assure you that there is such a thing as too wet and I've never had an issue with supply shortages. But, anyway, I was too turned on to care and let it ruin the whole mood. Plus, he is the best kisser hands down, to the point where it was enough to keep the momentum going" "Fuck me" Sam interjected with a mouth full of muffin... "I have to go to the bathroom. Do you?" Katie blurted out as they walked down to the market. "After that story introduction, I need a private room and a cigarette." Katie rolled her eyes, amused at Sam's endless humor. "Well, bathroom first. Carcinogens and nicotine second." Over the of course of walking through Pike Place, Katie told Sam every detail of the night. Well, not every detail, but the major points were covered. They decided to have lunch at their favorite hidden Pike Place eatery: Maximillion's. Katie glanced through the window that overlooked the sound while Sam devoured her soup and sandwich. Out of nowhere, Sam's phone buzzed and the whole table practically shook with it. "Jesus, that freaked the shit out of me" Katie said, hand on her upper chest, mouth full of artisan ham sandwich. "Well, that's what you get for day dreaming about hot sex" Sam read the text and frowned "Maddy is pissed she didn't get invited to our Market adventure" "She had to work!" Katie said defensively. "Mmmm, well we will just do a full blown girls night and she will forget all about it. Hopefully." Sam gave Katie a once over. "Maybe after all that testosterone, you could use one too" She smiled and winked. Later that night, all three girls sat in their living room, 90% of which was decorated with items Maddy sewed herself. She was also an amazing cook, evident by the delicious food that covered the coffee table. Maddy looked like a typical Seattle hippie. She wore weird shirts from Threadless.com, cut up jeans, those long knitted cardigans and usually sported one of those knitted caps to tame her unruly hair. But, she was far from a hippie: she never recycled, ate meat like a caveman and absolutely hated Whole Foods (that was a topic you never brought up around Maddy). "So, I want to hear all about this Lucas!" She pleaded while sucking down a daiquiri "Jesus I make a brilliant daiquiri. Paula Dean can suck it" Katie blushed and rolled her eyes. "There isn't much to tell. We drank wine, laughed a lot, got drunk and screwed each other's brains out. Then, naturally, I left while he was still sleeping soundly. I figured I'd get out of there before he treated me like..." "Like a used diaper" Sam finished, sitting on the floor in front of the coffee table. She wore one of her usual University of Washington t-shirts. Sam had an extensive collection because she always wore them when she worked out, which was every day except Monday. When she wasn't in a workout shirt, wore the usual popular clothing brand graphic tees and probably a hoodie. "Thank you, Sam. Graphic yet oddly appropriate. As always." Katie popped a potato skin in her mouth and washed in down with a small sip of daiquiri. She was trying to take it easy with the alcohol, given last night. "Naturally" Sam shrugged, copied Katie with the potato skin and drink. Sam rarely drank and if she did, it was wine. But, Maddy could make anything so well that Sam couldn't resist. "So how was he?" Maddy asked while gendering at all her calorie loaded options that covered the coffee table. The pizza had yet to arrive and really top off the unhealthy buffet they had going. "Well, the sex was inconceivably ... fantastical. Like hotter than William Hurt and Kathleen Turner in Body Heat. " "Oooo, good analogy. Great visuals are coming to mind. What about other sexual skills? Like his tongue, hands, mouth, teeth, etc" Katie shrugged and pondered the foods options too. "His oral skills weren't the best, but all other categories reach critical acclaim." "That's disappointing. Is there more alcohol?" Maddy asked as she licked the edge of her glass like a 5 year old. Katie wondered what got into Maddy that she was downing drinks like Nicholas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas but she didn't ask. No reason to spoil her fun. "Of course" Sam said, getting up and strutting into the kitchen with Maddy following. Just then, a loud knock sounded. "Oh! It's the pizza!" Maddy exclaimed from the kitchen. "Katie, will you answer?" Sam yelled "I can't answer the door while fisting a gallon of Vodka without a cigarette and stained tube top to compliment." Katie jumped up and grabbed the piled of cash. She opened the door wide while carefully counting the huge stack of ones they scoured the apartment for. "Hi" She said, giving a quick glance up only to find Lucas, without a pizza or breadsticks in his hand, standing there with a beaming smile on his face. That stupid, sexy as hell smile that made Katie's head turn to mush. Her face turned pale. Or hideously red. She couldn't decide which one. "Uhhh, Lucas. Hi" Her eyes darted around. "Um, I thought you had pizza. I mean we ordered pizza and I thought you had it. I mean I thought someone would have pizza. Not you, but someone else. I wasn't expecting you. I mean why would you be carrying a pizza unless you were a delivery guy, which you aren't. Or maybe you are. But if you were you'd have the pizza and I would be giving you money..." "Katie!" Sam yelled "You sound stupid, stop rambling!" "Right. That's my roommate Sam." "I see" Lucas finally said, staring at Katie so hard she didn't know what to do. "Can we talk? Maybe go get coffee or something?" He said reluctantly, as if afraid he might say the wrong thing. Katie got the deer in headlights look and froze, just staring right at Lucas."Ummm, uhhhh, well." A hard slap on the shoulder pulled Katie from her trance. "Hello, you must be Lucas" Sam said loudly "Why don't you come in?" Katie moved at the instruction of Sam and let Lucas walk in. Sam led him down the small hallway and into the living room. Katie followed, feeling like a total fucking moron for just standing there while he talked to her. Nice, why don't you just throw yourself at him again? Seeing the look of disgust on his face would really top off my weekend, she thought. "Lucas, this is our living room, kitchen, eating area and just upstairs are the more interesting parts of our place. And, of course, this is our slightly buzzed but still very weird in general, roommate Maddy." Katie stood behind while Sam talked, mentally gearing herself up for recovery mode. Maddy chugged down another glass and waved followed by a deep burp. "Lucas! Ah, I've heard so much about you!" Maddy jumped up, mouth edged with daiquiri goodness, stumbled slightly and enthusiastically threw her arms around Lucas. Katie prayed Maddy would skip a kiss on the cheek. He played it off, but the look on his face was shock and mouthed 'what do I do?' to Katie. Sam shrugged and mouth 'I don't know". Katie's Escape Ch. 02 Maddy pulled away. "You are so cute" She said as she touched the tip of his nose with her finger. "Katie has been raving about you alllllll night." She said business with a suggestive eye brow raise and stupid smile. " But, I hear you need to work on..." Sam jumped in and covered Maddy's mouth while dragging her away from a confused Lucas. Katie quickly interjected "Let's talk in my room. Less distractions!" Katie gave Maddy the look of death and marched up the stairway to her room, Lucas close on her heals. "Leave the door open!" Sam yelled "We love overhearing inappropriate comments and moaning!" Maddy cracked up. Katie mouth 'I'm going to fucking kill you' to Sam and Lucas coughed down a laugh. As Lucas walked in and took in every inch of her room. It was pretty big considering it wasn't the master. Dozens of picture collages decorated the walls along with art work, a calendar and a full length mirror. The room was fairly clean except for the random clothing thrown about the room. He paused and picked up a stuffed pig with a top hat and cane attached to it. He eyed her "Do I want to know?" He asked. "I'm just going to guess no. And ignore Maddy. She is drunk and just crazy in general, you have to know her to get her crazy sense of humor." Katie looked at Lucas with great concern trying to gauge whether he was buying it or not. He wasn't objecting...yet. "All we've talked about was her... umm.... break up, hence the alcohol and excessive calorie loaded coffee table. We don't usually eat like that. Anyway, um, what did you want to talk about?" She paused again as a curious thought invaded her mind "And, more importantly, how did you know where I live?" Katie's Escape Ch. 03 Lucas stood in line, reading the coffee menu over and over again, yet somehow not comprehending any of it. The early morning buzz of people in the café seemed distant, the menu seemed foreign and the last night's memories invaded his mind. The soft moans, the taste of her skin, how it felt to be inside her. A loud ring and vibration from his pocket kicked him into the present. A flash of disappointment came when he saw it was Jake, but he told himself it wasn't because he had secretly hoped it was Katie. Lucas swore under his breath when he realized he never even asked for her number. Jake cut right to the chase. "Hey, can you grab some milk? Specifically, a carton that doesn't have lumps in it. Apparently, some people need these kind of instructions." Lucas heard Dean cursing in the background. "Yea. Will do. See you later." As Lucas shoved his phone back in his pocket, he felt a small piece of paper crumple. He hurriedly pulled it out and flattened it. It was a receipt, but not his. It was a receipt from the very café he was standing in . . . ***** "That! Right there! Best coffee you will EVER have." Katie exclaimed "You will want to bathe in the foamy goodness of a salted caramel hot coca." The street lights lit up just then, putting a different mood to their excursion. Lucas couldn't stop smiling at Katie as she enthusiastically described wine, talked about books and now the brilliance of coffee. He walked and watched her hand gestures and when she'd widen her eyes for emphasis. "Wait, foam on hot coca?" Lucas stopped her. "Don't you mean whip cream? And, when are you bathing in this foam? Is it open to the public or is it invitation only?" She giggled off the deep red of her cheeks "Oh, I love foam on my coffee, hot coca, green beans, mashed potatoes, tacos, hot dogs." She sighed "That cafe knows me and my extensive foam needs." Katie shook her head and kept walking on. "I wasn't aware a person could have foam needs." "That makes me sad for some reason." She paused "And my lips chapped. Hold on for a second" Katie went rifling through her purse, which seemed to be quite an adventure. "Jesus, what all do you have in there?" He asked. "Oh you know, the usual stuff. Wallet, chap-stick, band-aids, severed body parts of various mammals. Here, hold this" She dumped a fist full of receipts into his hand without even thinking about it and went back to digging in her purse. Lucas started to look through them. Almost every single one was from that café. And a few were from Third Place Books. No shock there, he thought. "You get coffee for .89 cents? And...two cups of oatmeal all for $1.50? Is the café owned by Asians?" "Oh. Yea. No. I flirt with Maz, who is white as they come. Anyway, he gives me an awesome discount. FOUND IT!" she yelled. "What if he isn't working?" Lucas asked curiously. Katie thought about it as she ran her lip balm over her lips. "Maz owns the place. He works there every day for 10 hours straight. By the way, Asians are more in the tea business than coffee" Lucas, for some reason, had to bite back just a pinch of jealously at the thought of Katie flirting with this "Maz." What kind of name was "Maz" anyway? "I see, so you just bat your eye lashes at men, rip them off, have your way with them, and then leave? I'm just another notch on your bed post, a dime a dozen, is that it?" He joked, mimicking her hand gestures which she gave him a weary glance for. Katie laughed and then her face went dead serious. "Yes." He had to take a moment to decide if she was serious or not. But, she cracked a smile and started walking again. ***** "SAM! Order up! One tall dark cherry mocha with soy and one grande salted carmel hot coca with extra, extra foam" The Barista yelled as Lucas slammed his phone shut. In the flash of a second, his head popped up at the order sitting on the counter and the girl grabbing them. Katie's voice sounded in his head . . . "Me and my two roommates, Sam and Maddy, walk there almost every day . . ." "Where is Katie today?" the male barista asked the tall girl grabbing the jackets for the coffee. "Um" She turned around and scanned the cafe "Just at home. You know, lazy" She shrugged. "Tell her I said 'hi', will you?" The barista asked eagerly, smiling with a clear connotation to it. "Sure" The girl walked off in a hurry, darting out of the door. Lucas wasted no time in approaching her. "Sam!" He yelled louder than he intended and startled the girl in her tracks. She looked annoyed and disturbed as her eyes shot straight to him. "Ummm, uh. Do I -- um - who are you?" She asked, averting his gaze and slowly creeping away. "I'm sorry." He said quickly, realizing how crazy he looked at the moment. "I'm Lucas, I know your roommate, Katie." "Oh, um right, yeah, sure. Um, I will tell her you said hi too" "Well, wait! I haven't seen her . . . lately. Did she happen to mention me?" Lucas tried hard not to sound eager and desperate. But, as Sam's face was both weirded out and shocked, he realized that both of those were true. "She is fine. Good. Last I heard, still in one piece." Sam started to walk off, but Lucas stopped her again. "Wait! Um, did she mention me at all? Say anything ...about last night?" "Why would she?" Sam asked him. The question was like a slap across his face. Lucas didn't know what to say. Sam looked uncomfortable, almost as if she regretted saying that. "Uhhh, ummm,"She sighed, rolled her eyes and released her shoulders all at once. "Well, you two had a 6 hour sex-fest, it tends to come up in conversation." She blurted out. "But, she knows it was a one night stand and she is fine with it. She just asks, well she didn't tell me to ask you but I am just saying, that you leave our coffee place to her. It's a historical site to us." She explained calmly, evaluating him silently. Lucas looked shocked now "Whoa, wait. She thinks that was a one night stand? Where did she get that? I never said that." "Well, what was she supposed to think? You aren't exactly a serial monogamer." Sam paused "I know that isn't a word and I don't know why I said it but it was the only way to conjugate that word to fit the sentence. And I don't really know you or your sexual statistics either but I am going off Katie's words." Lucas took a moment to process what he was pretty sure was an insult. "Listen, you have to tell her that it wasn't a one night stand. I mean, I didn't mean for us to sleep together, it just happened. I'm not complaining but she just left without saying anything. She didn't even give me a chance..." "A chance for you to treat her like a used diaper when you woke up?" She interrupted "Katie doesn't do one night stands. I mean, she doesn't even so much as flirt with men, let alone sleep with one. Hell, the last time she got some was like 2..." Sam shut her mouth abruptly. "Anyway, what I am trying to say is that . . . um . . . these drinks are . . . getting cold?" She looked at the two cups in her hand in confusion but she was more confused about what she just said. "Look, can you tell me how can I get a hold of her? I have to explain that it wasn't like that." Lucas was pleading. His eyes were wide, searching for Sam's better nature. Sam thought for a minute. The drinks really were getting cold. "Well, you don't have a shot in hell of her talking to your first, that's for sure. " Sam paused "Fine! Okay, um. Stop by our apartment at like... 8 or something. I will work out the details later, but that is all I can think of at the moment. Katie is going to fucking kill me but I feel sorry for you. You're like a lost puppy, whimpering as you roam the streets. Just don't tell her about us arranging this" Lucas didn't have time to think about what the lost puppy thing meant. "What's your address?" He asked while digging for his phone. "Sure. It's not like that's weird or anything considering we just met and have no ties what so ever. I always give my number to guys stalking my roommates and act as an intermediary. What's next? A boombox, trench coat, and Peter Gabriel?" "I'm suddenly realizing how accurately Katie described you." "Naturally." Sam shrugged "Seriously though, you can't tell Katie. I don't want to wake up cuddling with a severed horse head while covered in blood. It'll ruin my morning and be the beginning of a very long day." Sam paused again, accusingly staring at Lucas "And if you hurt her, I will make sure you wake up next to a severed horse head." He gave Sam yet another odd look but, had to forget about the threat when Sam rattled out their address. He couldn't believe Katie thought it was a one night stand but it did explain why she left. How the hell could she think that? Maybe that is all she wanted? Maybe she wasn't into him. Sam walked off before Lucas could think to ask. He also wondered what number Sam was going to say when she mentioned Katie's dry spell. Hours? Days? Weeks?...Years? Katie seemed to know what she was doing and did it quite well to be out of practice for that long. Then he wondered about how many people she'd slept with. A small detail they somehow glossed over. A knock on his bedroom door snapped him out of the memory. "Yea?" Jake opened the door. "I was half hoping you were naked. " He said in his usual dry sarcastic voice. He held a bowl of cereal in his hand and spoke with a mouth full of fruit loops. "You know how jealous Dean gets when you flirt with me." Lucas snapped back. "FUCK YOU!" Dean shouted from the living room. "You know I only get more turned on when you talk dirty" Lucas shouted back "Anyway" Jake interjected "We're heading out tonight, you coming?" Lucas didn't know how to tell Jake that he was secretly pining over the librarian who he saw sporting the walk of shame this morning. Well, she wasn't really, but Lucas couldn't dump all over Jake's dreams. He and Jake always checked out the library student staff. The problem was, they were impossible to flirt with. So matter of fact and intimidating with their vast knowledge and articulation. Jake and Lucas just didn't know how to counter it, but they still tried. "Probably. What time?" "I don't know. " He shrugged as he stuffed another spoonful of cereal in his mouth. "Later?" Jake's dead pan sarcasm took awhile for some people to get used to. Luckily, Lucas understood it and Dean didn't care. It all worked somehow. "I wonder what you would be like without sarcasm" "What's sarcasm?" Jake added while stuffing another spoon full of cereal in his mouth. Lucas shook his head and laughed as Jake closed the door. Without a second thought, Lucas was thrown back into last night... **** His mouth was devouring her salty skin as her clever hands rinsed through his hair. "How do you like to be fucked?" He whispered in her ear. Lucas could hear her swallow and almost feel her blush, but, her response took him to another level. "I want to be on top" He froze, barely able to comprehend what she just said. Lucas realized then that things had to slow down because he was losing it before they even started. He placed slow, open mouthed kisses on her neck and followed down. The moon wasn't enough to see her perfect breasts underneath his mouth, but the feel of her nipple sliding against his tongue made up for it. She let out a long moan. Katie panted desperately as he kept on carefully teasing with his mouth by lingering over her breasts. Jesus. He just wanted to fuck her so hard until she screamed. The urge boiled inside him, consumed his every thought as his mouth traveled further and further down. With every slow lick of his tongue over her slit, she raised her hips and fisted his sheets until they tore from the corners. They weren't even fucking yet and he was already a second away from losing it. Finally, his mouth invaded her. Katie fisted his hair and bucked her hips. He went wild. Suddenly, she straddled him, her eyes had a dangerous look to them. "I need to feel you inside me" She said, each word lingering in his mind. Lucas swallowed. He was nearly shaking from anticipation to the point where he might even beg. Her breath on his ear, the feel of her skin and her mouth were consuming his control. He felt her position him so gently is was unbearable. A lifetime passed before he sunk inside her. He groaned, his nails tearing onto her. Katie's entire body froze and he heard her suck in a breath and a small whimper not meant for him to hear. "What's wrong?" He asked in between shallow breaths. She smiled against his mouth, holding very still. "Nothing" She whispered as her heavy gaze watched her finger run over his bottom lip. "It's just been awhile" Katie devoured his mouth with an urgent, desperate kiss. Carefully, her hips started to move with a slow rhythm. She moaned softly against his ear. "Fuck you're tight" Was all He could manage against Katie's neck as her hips kept going faster and faster. He was trying not to lose it, but nothing seemed to be working. Katie ruthlessly rode him and he could do nothing but let her. His mind went blank, completely gone and engrossed in the heavy lust that dripped from the walls. Her moans were getting louder, her hips faster, her hands frantic, and helpless. He felt every muscle in her clench, including around his cock. She didn't ease up and whispered something so wicked he lost it the control he'd been fighting since they were making out in the street. Lucas's eyes clamped shut, every muscle in his body shook, and his fingers rent into her back. For a moment, they simply kept that position. Sweat soaked them both, Katie's hair clung to her neck and jaw. Lucas was so out of breath, he thought he might die. They fell backwards. Carefully, he slipped out of her and she rolled onto her back beside him. The air was heavy, humid with body heat. Several moments passed in silence. They simply caught their breath and stare at the ceiling trying desperately to regain their sanity. Lucas didn't want to move, didn't want to even think. Then, out of nowhere and without warning, Katie started to laugh hysterically. Laughter bubbled up inside Lucas. They both lay there, without even knowing why. ***** Lucas now stood in front of Katie's door. It was precisely 8pm. He stared at the apartment number as if it would knock for him. He didn't want to move yet, but didn't want to do nothing. Fuck it. He knocked on the door before he could talk himself out of it. Muffled shouting and loud footsteps all led up to the door being violently swung open with Katie standing behind it. She looked shocked, and confused but not disgusted. A sign of hope. A smile swept his face, the kind that look stupid and goofy and happen when people don't realize it. Then, she started talking, or rambling more like it. The smile wasn't that stupid kind anymore, it was the kind where he was trying not to crack up. Did she just say he was a delivery guy? "Can we talk? Maybe grab some coffee or something?" He interrupted, knowing she would of kept going had he not. But, she was shocked again at the question. He'd never seen Katie like this. Last night, she was quick witted, and had a remark for everything. Now she was stuttering and confused. Luckily, Sam came to the door. After an odd encounter with Katie's drunken roommate and a curious statement, Lucas now stood in Katie's room. the walls were cluttered with pictures,so many it was hard to even concentrate on one. It wasn't the cleanest room, but it wasn't messy either. It was simply lived in. Although, her closet was bursting with more clothes than he could comprehend at the moment. His focus went back to Katie, who stood in the middle of the room, looking around her room as well, trying to judge it objectively. She wore a black shirt that clung to her body so well it made him envy the shirt. He had to mentally force himself to stop checking her out. Katie didn't seem amused by his appraisal either. She was no longer at a loss for words like she was at the door. In fact, she was now giving him the same look as the one at the bakery. Annoyed and unreadable. ". . . And how did you know where I live?" Now, Lucas froze. Having to explain how he got here never actually crossed his mind. He was too busy day dreaming about sex and just seeing her again. And now that she was in front of him, all he could do was think about how to get her naked again. He scratched his chin and looked at some of her pictures. "Well . . . it's a funny yet amazingly interesting story actually." He paused a minute. "Wait. What was your overly touchy roommate going to say? Before Sam stopped her." Katie opened her mouth then closed it. Stalemate. Neither knew what to say and the silence amplified the fact that both of them were in an awkward situation. "I asked you first" Katie snapped back with a slightly defensive glare. "You ran out without even leaving so much as a note. I think you owe me an explanation first." Lucas smiled, trying to lighten the mood. Her eyes widened in outrage. Not the reaction he was expecting. "That is ridiculous! So what, I ran out. Like that is the worst thing I could have done. Would a note have made you feel better?" She lifted her fingers to mimic quotation marks " Something awesome like 'Hey Lucas, last night was cool. I'll see you around I guess, Love Katie.' Would that have made things better for you? Plus, for all I knew, you were going to wake up and treat me like . . ." "Like a used diaper?" He cut her off without even thinking about it. Katie's head cocked back, her face unreadable. Fear swept through Lucas for some reason be couldn't explain. He didn't know what he said, but obviously it wasn't the right thing. "Wait . . . what did you just say?" She asked accusingly, taking a step toward him. His eyes widened. Oh, shit, Lucas thought as Katie stomped out of her room without even waiting for an answer. "SAM!" She screamed so loud and frightening he wondered if four horsemen would come stomping through the walls followed by fire and brimstone. Katie's Escape Ch. 04 **Author's Note: First, I'm sorry for not posting for so long. Life gets crazy and I really hated Ch. 4 of Katie's story. I finally edited it so that I actually like it now. So, for those of you who have read it before, it has been changed quite a bit and edited. In my opinion, for the better. Anyway, Ch. 5 is coming, but I don't know when. Enjoy this in the meantime! ** Katie was taken aback when Lucas looked nervous after she asked such a simple question. "Well . . . it's a funny yet amazingly interesting story actually." Enlighten me, she thought but didn't know why she felt so defensive. Maybe it was because Lucas was looking at her the same way he did last night and it delighted her more than she wanted to admit. The feeling went past "butterflies" and resembled more of a violent spin cycle. "Wait. . . what was your roommate about to say? Before Sam stopped her?" Katie froze, her veins stopped moving blood and her heart was about to explode. This was so much easier to handle when she was drunk. Why hadn't she downed that 5th of vodka again? Oh yea, because she had drunken sex just hours ago. With Lucas. Who was standing in front of her. How could she forget? Suddenly, Katie just started to blurt out a defensive speech because it was all she could think to say. Words kept spewing off the tongue, ones that weren't graceful or even articulate. But they kept coming out. Then, he finished her sentence. The ultimate grand gesture in movies, the big cliché, the sign of a soul mate (assuming soul mates are real, she thought). However, Katie saw it very differently the instant she heard "Like a used diaper." Those words stopped her, without even a second thought. Katie could hear Sam's tone of voice, recalled the very moment when she uttered those words only minutes ago. Who else on God's green earth would say something like BUT Sam? No one. And that was the problem. Anger flooded her, blood went pumping and her cheeks went red hot. She was humiliated, angry, irritated and a possibly . . . a tad bit happy. But that didn't seem to be the issue at hand. Right now, Sam needed a through ass kicking. "SAM!" Katie yelled and flew out of her room as everything in it became a blur. Katie was such a mass array of emotions, she didn't know where to start. She didn't know what she would say to Sam but violent words were already forming in the back of her throat. Before she reached the hallway, a firm yet gentle hand stopped her so suddenly she lost her footing. From pure shock, her head snapped up at Lucas and gave him a look that could have condemned him to hell. Her heart stopped and her emotions melted as she looked into his face and locked her into another memory. She remembered last night. She had just flipped him so she was on top, too turned on to let his oral skills kill the moment. Katie's brown hair was tossed to the side, their bodies fully entangled. She knew it was going to hurt when he slid inside her. Her dry spell wasn't the only factor either. "Jesus, I want to be inside you" He whispered, sending dark flames of desire straight through her. Before she even knew it, words came flying out of her mouth. Katie took full notice when Lucas started to pant just a bit harder from the whispered promises she uttered. For a moment, the look in his eyes caught her off guard. Lust, desire, disbelief and a desperate want ached from those deep brown eyes, so much so that it shot straight through her. That desperate want boiled inside her too. Raked over her skin, encapsulated her mind that kept screaming for one thing. Him. Carefully, she guided his cock. She knew she should go slow but there was no way to curb the pain. His cock was huge, bigger than any she'd ever seen. But, that desperation inside them didn't care. Katie lowered herself onto him and sure enough, the stretch stole her breath. With a smile she played it off, and stared at his perfect mouth. Jesus, what his mouth could do to her, if she taught him that is. Her hips moved as her gaze fixated on his mouth until her back arched uncontrollably. He filled her, wholly, completely, endlessly. That sensation was all she knew until his mouth found her peaked nipples and rolled over them with his tongue. She slammed violently into an orgasm that curled her fingers into his flesh until he groaned against her breast. She went faster, frantic to feel that shocking wave of pleasure rip through her again. Muscles throughout her body convulsed, over and over again. It was addictively consuming and she didn't want it to stop. Something deep within her was screaming for more. "I love the way I taste on your mouth" She blurted out with a level of edginess, while fisting his hair. Lucas groaned in response. Katie gripped his hair and forcefully jerked his head so that he had to watch her. "Are you going to come for me?" She bit out between her teeth. "Fuck yes" He muttered as his body jerked violently underneath her. They slumped back and pealed their bodies away from each other. After several moments, as they lay there on his bed while the room cooled down, her head repeated all the commands she had given him. Everything she said seemed ridiculous and absurd now. Did I ask if he was going to come? She thought. At the time, his lack of response urged her to make him respond. But, upon reflection, it just seemed silly. So silly, she cracked a smile, which soon turned into an all-out hysterical fit of laughter that Lucas seemed to find hilarious as well. Hopefully, they weren't laughing at the same thing. . . Katie snapped back into reality, much to her chagrin. Jesus, that memory was probably the most intense of all. It made sensations in her body linger and beg for more, especially with Lucas standing right there. Touching, rather gripping, her arm. "Katie. What's wrong?" Lucas said with a noticeable amount of concern. I bet he has perfected sounding concerned toward women, she thought bitterly. He wasn't here on his own accord; Sam had lured him into it. He probably felt bad for her, probably came her to be condescending while he explained relationships made things complicated. "Let go! You -- you -- Ugh!" She snapped, too enraged to even insult him and jerked free from his grip. Katie proceeded downstairs, stomping loudly and muttering to herself. "What's wrong?" Sam popped up, sounding alarmed. Lucas trailed behind Katie, giving Sam a worried look. "Oh . . . this can't be good" Sam said quietly. "Sam!" Katie yelled, fearlessly stomping toward Sam until Lucas held her back. "Lucas! You told her? Jesus . . ." Lucas cut Sam off, trying to explain quickly, but Katie started to interject and then Sam joined in to defend herself to Katie. Their voices grew louder, although none of them were really listening. Then, the sound of something shattering startled them into silence. "Hey, kids. Settle the fuck down" Maddy said in a matter-of-fact tone. She didn't seem all that drunk anymore "Katie, Sam told Lucas to come here tonight because Lucas was asking about you and wanted to see you again. Lucas, Katie thinks you're a slut who only does one night stands and her self-esteem is so low, that she can't imagine why you would pick her of all people to follow up on. Sam, don't kill an innocent horse." Where had Maddy gotten all this wisdom? "Now, the pizza is here. Shut the fuck up and eat." The room was silent. Sam, Katie and Lucas all looked around awkwardly. "I can't believe you shattered the wine glass I stole from that shitty winery in Woodinville. That meant something." Sam shook her head "That was ice, dumbass" "What kind of pizza?" Lucas asked out of nowhere. That statement somehow broke the tension as everyone looked at the other one. "I'll grab some more plates" Sam said suddenly and walked into the kitchen as Maddy followed, leaving Katie and Lucas alone. "I don't have to stay . . ." Lucas started to say to Katie in a reluctant voice. "Non-sense!" Maddy yelled proudly from the kitchen "Sit your ass down and play some boggle with us!" A giggle cracked through Katie's rage. Somehow, her anger melted away. She shyly looked over at Lucas, who had a half grin on his face. "It's chicken alfredo and meat lovers. Maddy loves meat" She said, trying hard to break the tension a bit more with an easy joke. "Do you guys have scatagories?" He asked, giving her a smile that lit up his eyes. Katie smiled back "Mmmmm, we might" she said playfully The two of them went to the living room. He settled on the couch and Katie went for the loveseat. Awkwardness still lingered there and Katie wasn't completely sure how to handle it. Although, going upstairs and having wild, crazy sex seemed like the best option. However, that option just didn't seem quite feasible, as her roommates clearly wanted to attack Lucas with questions. Sam came out with plates and a bowl while Maddy followed with the pizza and bread sticks. "What's in the bowl?" Lucas asked as Maddy set it down. The bowl was filled with an off-white dip with specs of spices. "It's Maddy's secret pizza dipping sauce" Katie said as she reached for a plate. "Aka, semen" Sam blurted out. Lucas busted up laughing. All the girls giggled too. "I'm sorry, Lucas." Katie said in between giggles "Sam is quite colorful" Lucas just nodded and scooped some of the magical pizza sauce on his plate. "I hope you like protein, Lucas. And salt" Sam smiled and took a bite of pizza. "How would you know what it tastes like, Sam?" Lucas asked "Katie told me, in graphic detail. You know how she can pick out weird flavors in wine? Yea, it was like that kind of description. But for semen" She joked. Katie shook her head with a wide smile. "Did I mention how small your ex-boyfriend's dick was when I told you about how his jiz tasted?" Katie shot back. "No, you left that out. But, honestly, what is small to you? An eleven inch dick with the girth of a pop can?" Lucas started to choke on his food while laughing. "The first time swallowing is always the hardest" Katie said and patted his leg with a fake look of sympathy. Maddy shot straight up and got some drinks from the fridge. She handed him a Black Butte Porter, and Lucas took it gladly. "You have good taste in beer" He said, looking at the label, his face still red from choking. "Thank you" Maddy said. "So, tell us spinsters about yourself, Lucas." "Well" He said, pausing to take a drink to clear his throat "I'm a Gemini and I love little puppy sweaters on puppies and . . ." While he spoke, all the girls cracked a smile. He was gaining points. "Spooning and midnight walks on the beach" Lucas looked straight at Katie with a smile. She blushed and looked down. "Very funny" She said, rolling her eyes. "Barney" "Adorable. So, are you any good at Boggle?" Sam asked quickly. Their moment was interrupted when Maddy's phone blared loudly a new, obnoxious ring tone. "Shit. Fucking mom" She said and got up to answer. "Hello? What?" Maddy turned away "Why does that matter to you?" She held the phone away from her mouth "This will be just a minute" and walked upstairs "How many times to I have to tell you that I don't care?" Katie and Sam looked at each other. They knew it wasn't going to be just a minute "Well, I need another drink" Sam said quickly "How are you doing on that beer, Lucas? You need another while I'm up?" "I'm good" He said, semi-awkward after hearing Maddy talk to her mom like that. But, it also left him and Katie alone for the first time since her bedroom. Katie sensed him staring at her, but she couldn't bring herself to meet his gaze. She wasn't sure why, either. Maybe because he would be looking at her the way she wanted him to all along. Like she was more than a one night stand. "You're roommates love me" He joked, with a small cough afterward and a cocky grin. "They haven't been laid in an unspeakable number of years, so any male contact is like crack to them" Ok, Katie was lying, but he didn't have to know that. It also occurred to her that maybe she was being a bit bitchy, but she couldn't figure out why. "Really? With Sam's sparking and up beat personality, I can't imagine that for a moment" She smiled "Probably should have warned you about her. She's, uh, a bit much for most guys to handle." "I think you might have said something about that last night, actually" She turned her head to catch his gaze, finally. Their eyes locked for a moment that and she let a small grin escape her. There was a rise of panic within Katie and she wanted desperately to look away, just to relieve the feel of blood rushing to her cheeks. Slowly, he got up, placed both hands on either side of her head and bent down to kiss her. While his movements were slow, he moved in for the kiss quickly. His kiss was urgent and pleading, yet oddly tender as his hand cupped the side of her face. Reality left her as another memory hurled before her eyes . . . Once the vigorous, and seemingly ambiguous amount of laughing had subsided, they got to talking again. Katie noticed her buzz was wearing thin, which she didn't like. Lucas seemed to have read her mind. "You know, I wasn't lying when I said I had wine here." He rolled on his side, and propped his head up with his hand. She smiled and raised her eyebrows. He bent down and kissed her, then hovering over her mouth "Want some?" He asked. She agreed and the two of them padded their way to the kitchen. Lucas assured her that no one was there except them and that she didn't need to wear anything, yet she insisted on her tank top and underwear. "I'm not one of those girls who sits around naked. Not my thing" She explained. "That is a great tragedy" He sighed "What do you have?" She gracefully plopped herself up on his kitchen island counter. "Nothing but the best" He said and pulled out a bottle of Yellowtail Riesling and presented it in the official way that restaurants do. Katie giggled. "Yellowtail? You're lucky I'm drunk already or else I would slap you" "I might like that" Lucas said as he unscrewed the bottle, grabbed two wine glasses, and handed one to Katie. "It can be arranged. Have your people call my people and we can make an appointment wherein I slap you around for a while" "That's the wine talking" He said as he tried to pour wine into her glass as gracefully as possible. She giggled and fought with him to stop pouring, but he didn't "Wait, wait, wait" He said, but she shoved at his arm, which resulted in wine spilling all over her thigh. Katie gasped with a laugh, knowing it wasn't exactly an accident, especially when Lucas proceeded to accidently pour some more on her chest. "Shit, I'm clumsy. Aw, how could I do this? What kind of host am I?" Katie took a sip of the wine from her glass while shaking her head. "Here, let me help you clean that up." Which meant him licking her neck and playfully moaning as he went along to her chest. "Wait, wait." She pushed at him "Where is your glass. A gentlemen doesn't let a lady drink alone. And I'm a fucking lady" She grabbed the wine bottle while he held his glass. She tried to spill some on him too but he caught her just in time, resulting in more wine on her. They both giggled then took a long glup of wine. "You know what I have always wanted to do? Ever since I was little?" She admired her glass and how much she had managed to down after Lucas nearly filled it to the top just seconds ago. "Well, my first guess would be shelving books, but perhaps it's getting sloppy drunk and spilling wine all over yourself." She smiled with a devilish grin then, as dramatic as it was unexpected, she splashed the remaining wine right into his face. "You bastard!" She said dramatically, yet immediately cracked up laughing. His face was priceless. "I might have had that one coming" He said and licked his lips "This wine is fabulous, by the way" Katie kissed him right then, tasting the lingering wine and feeling it drip from his face. She moaned softly as he returned a tender, passionate kiss. She wrapped her legs around his waist instinctively and he moved in closer until his erection pressed into where she ached for him once again. She immediately wiggled out of her underwear while biting at her shoulder. He was breathing fast, yet moving very slowly, and finally Katie gave into his pace this time. Her hands ran delicate trails down his back, then dug into flesh when he penetrated her. She let out a long moan "Yea" she whispered. Her legs wrapped around him tighter, filling her more, then Lucas carefully guided her legs up. Her eyes rolled back. His pace was perfect, devastatingly rhythmic while hitting all the right places. He maneuvered her tank off, and devoured her flesh. Katie eye balled the wine bottle, then grabbed it and poured some over his shoulder. He groaned and gripped her head as she licked up the wine from his skin. Then, she poured some on herself, just a tiny bit at first. Lucas took the bottle, poured the wine over her shoulder and down her chest. He watched as it formed tiny rivulets and streams on her chest that then dripped from her hardened nipples. She gripped the back of his head and lowered him to sensuously lick up every drop from her. Katie's back arched, she let out a soft moan and closed her eyes. He groaned again, his eyes drinking in the sight of her and she loved it. Then, his head bowed suddenly and lost all his breath. He tensed quickly while gasping. He rested there for a moment, not moving. "I'm sorry" He finally said, sheepishly looking at Katie with a stupid grin. Lucas brushed her hair back from her forehead with his palm. She felt her face blush a little and even felt her body release a certain amount of tension she didn't know it was holding. "You can make it up to me later. For now, I need to wash the wine off. I smell like dump bucket" "Your analogies are probably some of the sexiest I've ever heard." Sam's voice snapped Katie out of yet another memory. Katie wanted nothing more than to make some stupid excuse so they could get away and reenact some memories. But, she was still unsure, still didn't know if he was for real. Katie wasn't sure what would make it all real, what grand gesture would prove he liked her, but she knew she hadn't seen it yet and was scared she never would. "Here" Sam said, holding out another daiquiri for Maddy, who snatched from her hand. No one was sure what Maddy's relationship with her parents was like, but it obviously was not healthy. Maddy did a wide variety of self-destructive things following phone conversations with them, drinking was a popular one. "I think Lucas was just about to put on a dramatic rendering of his life" Sam said out of the blue, but mostly to cheer Maddy up. "With no words" Katie added with a bright smile. "And no clothes" Maddy finished, raising her glass in his direction. Katie cracked up and Lucas just shook his head and took a long drink from his beer. "Where do you ladies come up with this stuff?" He said just as his phone went off and the whole room snapped their attention to him. He awkwardly fished out his phone and glanced at it. "Care to share with the class?" Sam asked quickly Lucas flashed a side smile "My roommate wants me to come out tonight. He is at Earl's" "Are you kidding me? That bar is disgusting, under grads hang out there." Katie said quickly. "What? We love that bar. One of the best bars in the U district" He said quickly "Eh, we like Norms." Katie said "Fremont is good too. What were you saying about boggle?" The rest of the night was filled with laughs, witty dialogue, serious arguments about what words counted in Scatagories, and even more food. As 2:30 am rolled around, the group was fading fast. Maddy had passed out, and Sam dreamily dragged her feet to the kitchen to drop off some plates. Katie's Escape Ch. 04 "One more game" Sam said as she walked out. Katie and Lucas agreed, who were now sitting right next to each other, which happened somewhere between a Scatergory fight and letter confusion. Katie lightly rested her eyes for a moment. Behind her eyes, she saw more images of her night with Lucas. Somehow, his presence made those memories invade her mind with more vivid detail. Yet, they weren't enough. She wanted more of him, but the pull of sleep sucked her in . . . His hand gripped her upper arm as he thrust his cock farther into her. Katie's hands braced either side of the sink, allowing Lucas to hit a spot inside her that she didn't know existed. He was moving inside her slowly with a mind-blowing rhythm that encased her. Their skin was damp and slick, making the air heavy from the past few times they couldn't stand not to be close to the each other. Lucas's hand cupped her breast, squeezed then rolled her nipple in between his thumb and finger. Katie lifted herself from the counter and pressed her back into his chest. Her hand braced his hip as she let out a long moan. "Do you like that?" He whispered in her ear, which made Katie take note that she quite liked the whole talking thing. "Yea" She panted desperately "Don't stop" His pace was driving her crazy, as it was bringing her to the brink then taking her back before she got there. He kept her on a threshold and wouldn't break it even as she pleaded. "Fuck me harder" She demanded and dug her fingers into his flesh. "Beg me" He shot back and nibbled her ear. Katie moaned louder. She didn't want to beg, yet she wanted what she wanted. The need for release was so intense, and her not being able to control her own pleasure was infuriating. And fucking hot. "No" She said before she realized it and pressed her mouth on his. His tongue thrust into her mouth forcefully and he groaned. She felt his muscles tense over her back. His breaths grew shallow as their mouths hovered over the other. He guided her to bend over and brace the sides of the sink again. Finally, Katie thought. Much to her dismay, his pace slowed down even more. He pulled out of her and she gasped at the sudden absence of him. Then he pushed inside her again, all the way inside of her until she was entirely filled. Then he did it again and again. Over and over. Katie let out a frustrated moan. She didn't know sex could feel this amazing, that it could drive her this crazy. That she might beg. "Do you like that?" He asked again, more mockingly with an emphasis on 'that'. His hands were gentle, his voice tender. Yet he was punishing her. Not letting her move by pinning her against the sink. "No" She said, her voice shaky. Lucas forced her back up against his chest again and gripped her hair, forcing her head to curve to his shoulder so he could see her mouth. She bared her teeth. "Then beg me" Katie couldn't take it, and resolved to punish him later for this. "Please" She uttered finally "Please, what?" "Please" She said again, unable to resist the clawing need for release. "Please fuck . . . me. . .harder" She finally spit out, resenting him and planning a payback as soon as they were done. "Say it again for me, Katie" He said tenderly "Please" He smiled against her mouth after he said it. She bit his lip and smiled back. "Fuck me harder" She let out a breath "Please" At that, he pushed over so that her forearms rested on the counter and fisted her hair. Finally, his pace quickened, but not enough. Yet it wasn't long before he went faster, then harder. She moaned louder, waves of blunt pleasure rushed over her and reached a peak starting from her cunt, then radiated throughout her body. Katie pushed herself from the counter and pressed up against Lucas again. His chest was even more slick with sweat and she could hear his panting become more and more frantic. It was at that moment, Katie realized they were in front of a mirror, which Lucas focused on. Staring at her, into her eyes. She came again, yet looked away from the mirror. His hand ran down her stomach, dancing down farther while Katie recovered from another orgasm. Her eyes shot open and her body tensed as she felt his finger brush her clit. "Yea? Right there?" He asked her, which she barely registered. The sensation wasn't like anything she felt and she didn't know there was more to discover after fucking him 2 times before. "Yea" she choked out, her hand searched for something to hold on to again as he responded by circling his finger around. Katie's body started to shake uncontrollably as his fingers kept circling. Her body exploded then shattered. Her hand slapped the counter as her body kept shaking. Her knees had given out, she was only held up by Lucas. She pealed her eyes open again, and could see he was on the verge. His mouth was open, his hand on the counter like he was about to collapse as well. Then, his hips jerked in short but quick motions. His hands slid up her back, around her arm and wrapped around her shoulder. Lucas shook and used her as an anchor while he moved a few more times into her. He wrapped his arms around her stomach and her hand ran through his sweaty hair. "Jesus Christ. That was the most intense sex I've ever had" He said while catching his breath. He laid a soft, tender kiss on her cheek while his thumb traced tiny circles on her side. Katie felt a rush, but not the kind that turned her on. It was a different kind of rush, like the one you feel when someone you really like is affectionate for the first time. Stop, a voice in her head warned. She didn't want to stop, she wanted to just stay right here with Lucas and enjoy those affectionate gestures. But she knew better. Katie squirmed a bit. "I better clean up" she said and unwrapped from his hands. Katie's eyes gently broke open, and allowed the sun to seep in from the shades. Her head was in Lucas's lap, while he was passed out and sitting up right with his head resting against the back of the couch. She looked around and couldn't believe the sun had popped up already. It felt like she had only closed her eyes for a minute. She sat up, rubbed her face, and looked around again. She was still tired and the allure of her bed was overwhelming right then. But, she didn't want to wake Lucas, or leave him down here alone, or worse, invite him up. Although, that thought did seem the most tempting. "What time is it?" Lucas asked in a completely disoriented voice. "Like 5, I think" "Shit." His head fell back. "Ugh! I'm so freaking tired. I should probably go, so you can sleep" He slid his hand down her back and she shivered. Do it again, she pleaded mentally. "You don't have to" It was somehow more intimate to have him in her room just to sleep, but the words just flew out of her mouth. He seemed caught off guard. He yawned "I don't have pajamas" "That didn't stop me last night" She joked "Come on" She got up and they walked to her bedroom in a hazy state. Katie went into the bathroom to change into her pajamas. It didn't make sense, but it also kinda did make sense. At least in her mind. When she came back into the room, Katie noted how Lucas looked delicious in just his boxers. Then she remembered what she was wearing; a pink sports bra, a blue tank top, and pink men's boxers that were much shorter than most boxers. She hadn't really given the pajama situation a lot of thought, but she decided she didn't care. If he was going to pass her up on account on some pjs, well that was his problem. The look on his face didn't seem to indicate disapproval or disgust. In fact, he seemed to enjoy what she wore, evidenced by a playful grin. He couldn't possibly be thinking of . . . not with Sam and Maddy . . . "Seriously?" Katie blurted out. He smiled with a confused look. "What?" "You know what, you have a look. I know that look, I have seen that look" He walked over to her, and Katie backed away out of instinct until her back pressed up against the wall. His body pressed against hers. "You still have that look" She said, unwilling to let her face show how scared she felt under his gaze. "See, what you don't realize is that you have the same look" He said and kissed her. Katie responded by shoving her tongue in his mouth. He had this way about him that always made her want to go crazy with lust. He picked her up, just like the other night, and flopped their bodies onto the bed. His body nestled in between her thighs, and that was enough for Katie remember that all engrossing feeling of wanting to fuck so much that she couldn't stand it. His hand traveled up her tank top, then rested on her rib cage. She mentally willed him to go one more layer underneath and grope her aching chest that had been absent of his touch for too long. His kisses traveled down her neck as his thumb traces soft circles over her rib cage. Katie let out a soft yet audible moan. Lucas raised his head and met Katie's eyes, his lips hovering over hers, almost kissing her but not quite. Before she lost her confidence and looked away, his hand went underneath her bra finally and he watched her reaction intently. His hand gently squeezed her breast, then palmed over her stiff nipples. She let out a deep gasp, partly from his hands, but also the unexpected intimacy Lucas was showing her. She remembered when they had slower sex last night, but it meant little when it was just to change it up and part of Lucas's game. She could tolerate because it was still hot and she didn't let it affect her. But now, it was almost more than she could handle as he soaked her up with his eyes. She caught his mouth and shoved her tongue into his mouth, mimicking how she wanted him to fuck her. Hot, greedy, and fast. He groaned into that kiss while grinding into her harder. Her hands ran through his hair and he gracefully removed his boxers as Katie took of hers. His hands were fast, but he entered her slowly, so slowly she gasped at the feeling of him filling her, inch by inch. Their moans melded together. He pinned her hands above her head, then lace their fingers together. The level intimacy escalated to the point where Katie was uncomfortable, an odd contrast as he made her body radiate with pleasure and filled her mouth with greedy kisses that connected them even more. Lucas's head dropped to her ear, and she took the chance to bite and nibble at his ear lobe. He sighed, pumping his cock into her slightly faster, but still kept it slow, measured. His breathing quickened and she panted into his ear. "I could fuck you all day, Katie" He whispered. The sound of her name on his lips sent shivers down her spine. She realized it was no use in fighting his affections. She was mentally, physically, and emotionally intertwined with him, a feeling she was reluctant to give him but she knew fighting it was useless. Lucas had her pinned in more ways than one. She moved her hips to match his, inciting a new ripple of excitement through her, causing her to become even wetter over his cock. Their breath became frantic as her orgasm was pulled from her as slow as his pace. Her face grew hot, her cunt gripped around him, her body seized violently and her mouth devoured that perfect place between his collar bone and neck. He sighed loudly. Katie's legs wrapped higher around his waist, taking him deeper in, a feeling she didn't think was possible. His pace picked up again, he seemed barely able to keep it steady and slow by looking at the nearly painful look on his face. She started to feel the unavoidable and irresistible lure of coming underneath him again and she simply gave in. She allowed it to rip through her like claws until she couldn't feel anything but him inside of her. She felt his hand cover her mouth "Shhhh" He smiled. Her eyes studied his face, and he studied hers back. Katie took his hand away and went to kiss him. He gave her a light kiss then backed away, which slightly annoyed her. Then his head levered back and looked down her body. Katie panicked, realizing he'd never seen her naked in broad daylight. He seemed to realize as well. Then she had a quick thought: When did he take off my tank top and where was I when this happened? His hand followed his gaze, all while keeping that exquisite pace that she so resented and loved all at the same time. Quickly she grabbed his hand and put it over her breast, which he seemed to love while watching her reaction -- again. She quickened the pace of her hips beneath him and his breaths became even more frantic. His pace went faster and his hand laced with her free one, joining the other pair that never broke. She loved the sight of what she could do to him, just as he enjoyed the sight of what he could do to her. His mouth devoured hers as he came, his hips letting out fast, abrupt jerks inside her. Lucas laid there for awhile, allowing them both to catch their breaths and recover. Sometime after, he rolled off of her and Katie fell fast asleep, curling up to his chest. Lucas's eyes gave in as well. Later in the afternoon, Katie woke up curled up to Lucas. This time, she wasn't so fuzzy as to why but still wanted to get up and shower. Lucas woke up shortly after. "What time is it?" He asked, stretching wide. They conversed some, kissed some, and then decided they both had to get back to the never ending obligation of school and homework. He stopped before heading out the door to look at her. Katie closed one eye slightly when he brushed a strand of hair from her face and tucked it behind her ear. "So uh, I know I'm kinda doing this in the wrong order, but do you want to have dinner sometime this week?" Katie's mind wasn't quite clear and she was too tired to feel awkward or even blush at the offer. It was a nice change to feel indifferent towards Lucas. "Um, yea' She responded in a dreamy voice and nodded her head for further emphasis "I'd like that" "Awesome" He leaned in and gave her a quick kiss that she prided herself on not being caught off guard by. "What's your number?" His voice was too groggy to be charming, which she kinda liked. He was charming even when he wasn't trying to be charming. After exchanging numbers, Katie jokingly pushed him out the door. After it was closed, she headed straight upstairs. Jumping, giggling and giddiness would come later. Right now, it was bedtime. ** Katie stood in front of the mirror, scrutinizing her outfit and deeming it like all the others: hideous, not sexy, unflattering, fattening, and/or inappropriate. This first date stuff was the worst and choosing an outfit was always the hardest thing about them. Of course, she wasn't sure why she even bothered when Lucas had seen her clothed and un-clothed, both of which aren't that impressive. Maybe I shouldn't be so picky. She finally settled on her favorite pair of jeans from American Eagle, a charcoal grey tank and a dark blue blazer. She added a turquoise scarf, necklace, small earrings to accent. It was more dressy than she was used to, but it was still pretty casual. Although, she doubted the scarf. As for shoes, she just slipped on her Toms, deeming those fashionably Seattle chic. Lucas was picking her up at 7 and it was inching closer and closer than she liked. While she was giddy and excited to see him, she also hated being unsure of what she was wearing. Normally, it really didn't matter. There was, also, a tiny ounce of doubt about Lucas still. What if he stood her up? What if he suddenly changed his mind? "No! Stop that!" She said out loud for no reason at all. Katie transferred all her stuff into a wristlet, took one last glance in the mirror and sprayed some perfume on. This is as good as it's going to get, and honestly, it was looking pretty good. Katie made her way downstairs as her stomach had a gymnastics party. Now, she faced the outfit approval committee. "So, what do you think?" "I'm not sure about the scarf" Maddy said after a moment of taking in the outfit. "I'm digging the scarf. Very hipster of you." Sam interjected with that tone that was unmistakably Sam. "Screw you" Katie snapped while urgently tugging the scarf from her neck. "Mmmmm" Maddy thought for another moment "Yea no scarf. Show off your cleavage" "Yes, I agree. You look pretty hot" Sam said soon after "I agree! I love your make-up" Maddy added "Spackling works wonders" Katie joked, trying to deflect the nervousness pouring from her body. "Did he say where he is taking you?" "Should I have gone with a casual dress instead?" Katie asked, focused solely on her outfit and not on Sam's question. "Too summer-ish. It's only April, save the cute dresses for the summer" Katie looked down at herself and thought about Maddy's reply. Maybe it was too early for dresses. "I prefer the easy access that a dress gives, personally" Sam said "You like easy access, period" Katie said There was a heart clenching knock at the door. "That bastard is early" Katie muttered while giving Sam and Maddy a wide eyed look. They both gave her approving nods, which was oddly comforting. She straightened her hair and clothes quickly as she stood in front of the door. Katie took a deep breath, looked up to the ceiling and exhaled. When she swung open the door, it was none other than Lucas. She gave him a wide smile as he stood there with flowers in his hand. It was so stupid and cliché and over done and completely over the top. But, Katie kinda loved it. "I saw the flowers on your table the last time I was here and took a shot hoping those were yours" He said and extended the bouquet out to her. She stared at them for a moment, then gripped them from him. She let an even wider smile out. "Thank you" She looked up at him and froze. Immediately, her mind searched for something witty to say. Anything. But all that came out was "You want to come in while I put them in water?" Wow, real sharp, she told herself. Lucas nodded and stepped inside. Sam and Maddy were sitting on the couch, laughing at an old episode of The Office when Lucas walked in. "Hello ladies." Katie heard Lucas say while she searched for a vase in the kitchen. The flowers were beautiful star gazer lilies with Japanese cherry blossoms. She finally found a vase big enough and carefully placed them. She wanted to slap that stupid grin off her own face right then. "Alright, let's go before Sam and Maddy eat you alive" Katie said, rushing Lucas out the door. Lucas waved bye and Katie gave them one last "oh shit" look before they left. "I'd apologize for Sam, but I think you already know that she is uncontrollable" As they walked to the car, Katie realized it had felt like forever since she'd seen him, even though they had talked on the phone a few times, but only for 10 minutes at most. On impulse, Katie came up and kissed him on the lips. He placed his hands on her waist and kissed back. Somehow the kiss was breaking the tension for her and it made her not want to stop. Until his phone buzzed. "What was that?" She asked, even though she knew perfectly well. Lucas stayed close to her face for a moment, then gave her another quick kiss. "Someone who's ass I'm going to kick. I'll look at it later." He held out his hand and she took it without even a second thought. They walked down to his car. "Now don't get too intimidated by my smooth, lady killer of a car" they came up to a black Toyota Corrola and Katie laughed. "Really? Are we picking up your kids from soccer practice?" She joked "You laugh, but the gas mileage kicks ass." "I'm sure it does" They both climbed in and Katie again noticed how clean it was. Seemed to be a reoccurring thing with him, cleanliness. He glanced at his phone and frowned. "Shit. Jake locked himself out. Do you care if we stop by my apartment and let him in?" Katie's Escape Ch. 04 Katie shrugged "Sure" He kissed her on the cheek. "Stop being cute, it's obnoxious" She said as she pushed him away. "You love it. What kind of music do you like?" Katie thought for a moment. "Air Supply? Done." He said as quick as he asked the question. The classic cheesy song came on and she looked at him like he was an idiot. He smiled and switched the same station that only plays bands from Seattle; aka grunge music. Katie didn't protest. He gave her a wider smile and backed the car out. They made small talk along the way to his apartment, which was no more than 5 minutes away. "Want to come up with me and meet Jake when he is all flustered?" Lucas asked "I'd love to" They climbed up the stairs and Katie couldn't help but relive the eternity it took her to walk out of this building just this past weekend. As they rounded the corner, Jake was nowhere to be found. "Where is he?" "I don't know, maybe Dean came home and let him in" Lucas opened the door to his apartment to find it completely dark. He quickly texted Jake, who replied right back. "Uh, he is up on the roof" "What? Is he suicidal?" Lucas laughed "No. We party, sometimes, with our neighbors up there. I'm so sorry. This is not how I planned this night to go" "It's cool. I've never seen one of those party roofs before. Except on How I Met Your Mother. Let's go!" Katie said with excitement. She really didn't mind the detour, especially now since she was finally crossing off rooftop party from her bucket list. The roof was about 4 floors up and it was all stairs, which was not what Katie's shoes were designed for, but she silently endured the pain. When they finally got to the top, Lucas pushed open what she assumed to be an extremely heavy door and held it open for her. As she walked out, was shocked at the lack of people. All she could hear was the busy traffic that sounded from the ground level. Unexpectedly, Lucas took her hand and guided her around a tall brick pillar thing. Katie couldn't take in all of what she saw. There were Christmas lights strung high over a cloth covered table tucked into a corner that looked like it could fit four people that was set with plates, wine glasses, and two really thick, glowing candles. There were several fake looking trees, embedded with more Christmas lights, set around it to give an illusion of privacy. "I hope you are hungry" He said, pulling her towards the table while Katie all but gawked at the set up. "We have a very refined meal, this evening, from none other than Seattle's premier eatery." Lucas was digging inside a cooler of some sort while Katie was still looking around at everything. He turned around and saw that she wasn't even paying attention "Your silence is making me nervous" Lucas finally said "I had it on good authority that this was going to be more or less perfect." Katie felt a tad embarrassed at all the . . . effort and 'more or less perfectness'. She wasn't sure if she liked it just because she felt like it was more than she deserved. Which, opened an entirely new problem in her head, except there was a glowing smile on her face that wasn't fading. Beyond that undeserving sentiment, there was an overwhelming sense of elation. Was this, perhaps, The Grand Gesture she had been searching for? It scared her that it might not be enough, but scared her more that it just might exceed 'enough'. "I -- uh -- that -- Sam helped you with this" She blurted out without thinking. Where the hell did that come from? He puts on this huge thing for you and you say something stupid like that? Now she really felt like she didn't deserve it. "I'll take that to be the equivalent of 'yes, Lucas, it IS perfect' " "Let me rephrase that." She broke a nervous laugh "Lucas, this is . . . " She searched a thousand words in her head but only one kept blinking. One word that would be the cherry on top of this cliché sundae, yet fit so perfectly that any other word would have come out insincere. "Lovely. Uh, thank you. I will address the problem of you making me into a sappy girl about this later, though." She said teasingly. "I'd expect nothing less! Anyway, back to the food." He held something behind his back and had an expressionless look on his face. Katie was a tad scared. She wouldn't put it past him to have a bag of McDonald's. "Sit" He ordered her. She didn't budge. "Please" With a small, unreadable look, she sat down. Behind his back, he pulled out a plain, brown paper bag. Katie was stifling all the sarcastic comments she could have made about that bag, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. "Now, I had a lot of options, since you have 90 million favorite restaurants. I thought about fast food, but it wouldn't have been fresh enough by the time we got here. So, I opted for something that could just be chilled. That left about 30 million, just in the Seattle area alone. However, I remembered one place in particular that you mentioned and so, I went with that." "Nice intro, but you should know better than to withhold food from me." She fisted her fork and held it aggressively. Finally, he pulled out a tissue wrapped croissant sandwich. Just from the look of it, she knew where it was from. No other bakery had the perfect croissant. "Shut up. You did not go all the way to West Seattle just to get a Bakery Nouveu croissant sandwich." She was impressed, officially. It was even her favorite, turkey and Havarti with Dijon mustard. "I gotta say, I'm impressed. More than impressed." He smiled, sat the sandwich down on her plate and quickly moved in her a kiss on the cheek. "You are too charming" She said with a smile, yet a questioning look. Katie took a bite of the sandwich and her eyes glazed over. Sam or no Sam, this was fucking awesome. ***** The night was fading fast, it seemed as the night slowly crept into morning for Lucas, Katie, Sam, and Maddy. What started out with witty banter, snappy comebacks, and flat out bursts of laughter was now ending with half-hearted answers that bordered on bizarre and obscure laughing at stupid things like when Lucas said "Meal" instead of "meat". Maddy finally passed out after downing several drinks, Lucas noted. He could see her as the hard partying type. Then Sam kept yawning, which inspired everyone else to follow suit. He was tired as hell, but didn't want to leave or want the night to end. Funny how he thought the same thing last night, but now they weren't even naked. That notion should have scared him, but it didn't. And while Katie seemed to fight his attention towards her, she also seemed to get him just enough to let him know she felt something too. Yet, other times, Katie acted like he was a tree stump. Like when he first arrived. But again, that didn't matter anymore as the three of them sat around trying to fight sleep and perk up the bags hanging from their eyes. "Okay, okay. Let me clean some of this up, then we will play one last game" Sam said. Lucas wondered why Sam needed to clean up now and not wait until the morning, but he didn't mention that thought. "Do you need any help?" Lucas asked, hoping like hell that she didn't. Sam smiled "Naw. I got it." Then walked to the kitchen, repeated herself "One more game!" Katie's head lightly rested on his shoulder as Sam left, making Lucas form an arrogant smile. His hand came up and smoothed her hair. Katie seemed to fall instantly asleep at the gesture, which he again noted promptly. He carefully wiggled free from her leaning head, which she took no notice to. Lucas took that as a good sign. He walked into the kitchen in a sleepy haze. His mind wasn't at full capacity, but he knew what he wanted to do. "Hey Sam. Can I ask you for another favor?" He said quietly. "If you must" Sam turned and gave a careless shrug. Lucas came closer and whispered low. "I have this idea for this date I got planned for Katie, but I'm going to need your help." "Date? When did you ask her on a date?" "I haven't yet, but I'm going to" "How do you know she will say yes?" "I don't." Sam paused for a moment, then another moment. Carefully evaluating Lucas. "You are really arrogant, you know that?" "You aren't the first person to say that, so yes. Anyway, where is her favorite place to eat?" "Easy. Depends on the day." Lucas gave Sam an unamused look. She rolled her eyes "Fine. If you are thinking fancy, The Palisade. If you are thinking middle of the road, I'd say Chuck E Cheese. Slightly lower, Red Mill. Cheap, I'd go with Dick's." Throughout the conversation he had with Sam, even when sleep clearly engrossed her brain, the sarcasm was still laid on thick. Lucas thought about all those options. None seemed appealing. "Does she have like a failsafe?" Sam thought for a minute. "Bakery Nouveau, probably." "Never heard of it. Where is that?" "West Seattle. The baker won the World Pastry Bake off or something like that in France. It's kind of a big deal. Anyway, they have cold sandwiches and Katie's favorite: chocolate hazelnut croissants." Lucas thought about the shitty drive to West Seattle and almost thought seriously about Red Mill. But, Sam hadn't steered him wrong before, so he wasn't going to question her now. He decided on this bakery place, even though it seemed a tad overwhelming. The two of them hashed out the details, on the assumption that Katie would agree to go on a date. He returned to the couch, only to find Katie still sleeping. Sam followed and shook her head. "What an asshole" Sam said while nodded toward a passed out Katie and yawned "I think I'm going to be like the cool kids, though and head to bed too. Feel free to crash on the couch, but be warned that we have a strict rule about not fooling around on the couch" 'How many times have you broken that rule?" Sam cracked a lazy smile "Let's just say our carpet cleaner has a great upholstery attachment. Goodnight" She replied jokingly. "Goodnight, Sam" Sam woke up Maddy before they both dragged their feet upstairs. Lucas looked over at Katie and gently eased into his previous spot. Her head fell on his shoulder, as if he never left and nuzzled there for a moment. Lucas eased his head back and fell asleep almost instantly. A jerky shift on the couch woke him up, but he almost couldn't even bring himself to open his eyes. Then he felt a huge knot in his neck that almost made him wince. Next, he noticed a sharp pain in his back. Not the best idea to sleep while sitting up, he noted. He finally opened his eyes and saw Katie bent over with both hands on her head yawning. She turned to look at him. Although she looked tired, that creamy complexion shone a bit more and gave a certain glow to her. She yawned again, which caused him to yawn too. Lucas didn't want to crash on the couch. He wanted to curl up in her bed and draw the shades tight and just sleep. But, there was reality back at the back of his neck, also known as school. She probably had the same thought. "What time is it?" He asked absently. "Like 5 I think" It sounded about right, he thought. He reluctantly offered to leave so she could sleep, and selfishly, for him to sleep as well. And stretch his neck, seriously that shit hurt. But, much to his surprise, she subtlety offered him to stay. The neck thing could wait, and afterall, he was sure that lying down on an actual bed would fix the problem. They went upstairs, and all he could think about was sleeping. Sure, Katie's company was a strong appeal, but he needed sleep after having so little in the past 36 hours. His mind quickly changed when she emerged from the bathroom, in short boxers and hardened nipples through her tank top. He also took note of her vaguely untamed hair that gave her a sex appeal he hadn't seen on her before. Suddenly sleep didn't seem so important after all. He could sleep after he died from fucking Katie all day. Apparently, she could read his expression and he couldn't help but smile that could already pick up on it. He slowly approached her, and got just a little more turned on when she backed away. He realized he would probably always be chasing her, and the challenge was only part of what he enjoyed about her. They tangled into each other on the bed, and the slightest pull of sleep told him he wouldn't be able to go fast or hard, which she always seem to request. Penetrating her was just as new and delicious as it had been the first time. He watched her face take him in, saw her face soften as he lingered on a kiss that loomed between them, but never quite meeting. Lucas realized they were in broad daylight and new nuances were revealing themselves. Like the tiny mole on her neck, slightly askew to the dip in her throat. He left the lingering kiss to place an open mouth kiss over that tender patch of skin, then left a trail of kisses from there to her neck to her ear. He gripped and interlaced their fingers, somehow seeking the connection between them that she kept resisting and he kept fighting for. Between urgent kisses, soft moans, tangled limbs, and some words he couldn't help but utter, Lucas was caught off guard when he felt Katie climax, as it seemed to run through him as well, like he could feel those pulsations that danced along her nerve endings. His gaze fell upon her again, wanting to watch her come over and over again. It was then he felt a shift in her, Katie somehow melted beneath him, but he wasn't sure exactly how or why. Without a second thought, he moved inside her in deep, slow strokes, feeling himself go deeper inside of her as she wrapped her legs up and around him. The subtle shift made her come again, which allowed him to make full note of her facial expression. Her hips met him faster and he followed. The circular motion of her hips combined with the vision of her naked form forced him to come suddenly and forcefully, so much so that it stole his breath. He felt a bit shaken, a bit vulnerable right then as he lay on top of her. He knew instantly why, but somehow couldn't admit it to himself. Bringing it to the forefront of his mind seemed too real, too visceral. He rolled off of her, needing the distance to distance himself from those scattered thoughts, yet felt the absence of her like a gap that needed to be filled. She rolled up next to him, and his mind relaxed, allowing the flow of sleep to overtake his now quiet mind. After some much needed sleep, he found himself standing at her door. Asking her out seemed so simple to think about and plan, but the whole running it by Katie wasn't anything he worried about. Until now. But, there was also a huge amount of hair just sticking up from her head, like a cow had just licked it. He cracked a smile. Jesus, does she always have to be so cute? He thought. Hopefully because it broke his fear and he finally asked her. The relief that flooded him once she smiled that he couldn't remember why he had been so afraid before. Lucas smiled to himself as he left Katie's apartment. Yesterday started out rough, and at first, the night wasn't looking much better. But, now none of that mattered. While he wasn't sure why he liked Katie so much and couldn't stop thinking about her, he did know that he had a date this week and had it all planned out. The next day, Lucas sat in class and tried hard not to stare at Katie who was passed out the graded papers. She seemed to look even cuter today than usual, he noted. His phone buzzed and he snapped out of the staring contest. It was Sam. 'Hey pretty boy, do you by any chance have access to a roof?' 'Yes. Why?' he texted back 'Oh shit. I'm totally going to get you laid' Sam was like a guy friend almost. She talked like one, at least. Katie's Escape "But then again, I am drunk." He shot back and grabbed her glass out of her hand so fast Katie barely registered until her glass was half empty. "Hey!" She grabbed the half eaten bruschetta from his hand and stuffed it in her mouth. They both cracked up. "Mmm, delicious!" She yelled at him "Your drool really brings out the pesto" Katie chewed and covered her mouth. "You owe me a glass of wine by the way." She tried to grab the glass from him. "Hey, hey, hey." He warned, moving it away so she had to reach over. Instead, she grabbed his glass and slammed it down like he did hers. It was a shame to waste such elegant Merlot but the dramatic effect was priceless. Her hand slammed on the table as she finished. Lucas's eyes flickered over Katie's face with genuine amusement, meeting her eyes for just a moment. She blushed and looked around the room. "Where is our waitress? This is horrible service. Our glasses are empteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." She drew out 'empty' just to break the moment, followed by devouring an entire bruschetta in a very dramatic fashion. His eyes watched in both wonder and concern. Food stuffed in her cheeks, she smiled. "I love your dimple" He said, pointing to his cheek, mirroring where hers was. "I'm sure you do, but I am not drunk enough to start believing that shit." She swallowed down a nasty comment about the waitress that was on the tip of her tongue, because she knew better. Even when she was lit. "I have wine at my apartment" Lucas offered, with more sexual undertones than Jessica Rabbit. Katie cleared her throat. Just then a new waitress came and filled their glasses. Katie impulsively ordered desert, blurting it out without prior warning. This isn't a date anyway, so why should he care? As the waitress walked away, Katie quickly defended herself."Who doesn't love desert? Honestly! Plus I couldn't help myself, that picture is staring me right in the face like a starving kitten or something!" ******** "KATIE!" Sam cried, snapping Katie out of her staring contest with the floor. "What?" She exclaimed, startled out of her mind. "Jesus, you were gone all night and you never answered your phone! We went to Norms and had a blast. I kept texting on the hour every hour. Where were you?" "Ummm. Well, I, um, just fell asleep I guess." "Okay, where? It obviously wasn't here. And why were you sleeping somewhere else? And with whom? Anyone I know? Is it a boy?" She gasped "OMG! Did you have sex? You had sex! You slut! Who is it? Do I know him? No, no. I want to guess! No okay tell me, I can't take it" Katie's eyes widened at Sam's full on conversation with herself and the final deduction. Sam had a way of reaching her own conclusions at an impressive rate with little to no knowledge of the circumstances. The rate of accuracy was another issue entirely. "Jesus Sam, it's 10 am and you are giving me the 3rd degree. I need food and coffee and Pike Place flowers. Let's talk and walk'" ****** Lucas showered, throw on some track pants and a shirt and left his apartment. Coffee first, he thought. Coffee might somehow get Katie off of his mind but, he didn't want to forget about Katie. But the thought that she didn't want him was like a fiery slap in the face. Thousands of questions paraded his mind without answers. As he walked, He recalled every moment, the night replayed over and over in his head.... He saw her at that French bakery, pushing up her glasses while another hand drummed over her mouth as she searched the pastry case. There was something about her that he couldn't quite describe. Katie had caught his eye the moment Prosser Lee introduced her in class. She wasn't the typical cover girl model type but she was hot, just in a different way. Not the slutty hot that he usually pounced on without hesitation. She was nerdy but well put together in her white cotton V-neck and grey sweater. It was simple yet so.... sexy. Feminine. He'd never seen her outside of the Library and class. Katie would walk past his study table several times while shelving or pulling books and never once gave him a glance. She would hand back papers without even an acknowledgment when he said thanks. This seemed to be fate. Lucas didn't even know the bakery was there, let alone go into it. But, he was in the mood for an espresso and the "original" Starbucks a few stores down just didn't cut it today. Plus, it was jam packed, as usual. Pike street was only for local business and the only reason Starbucks stayed on Pike street is because they kept their original store front, but the inside was 100% corporate. Such a shame. When Lucas walked in, Katie immediately caught his eye. But, as usual, she focused on the pastry case. This was his chance; he had to talk to her. So, he brought up something safe. Class. She looked up, her face flashed annoyance at first then shifted to unreadable. She answered quickly and kept brushing him off but he wasn't going to be deterred. He followed her to where she sat, hoping the annoying yet cocky and cute routine would work. But, she struck him down the very second he tried to turn on the flattery, yet her face stayed unreadable and her attention stayed on the book. Yet, this was no ordinary come back. Sure, it was clever, well timed and extremely fitting but it also gave reference to one of his favorite shows: How I Met Your Mother. He nearly choked on his words and couldn't think of what to say. Lucas was floored. Somehow, words bubbled back up and he managed to quickly change his approach. She was an intellectual, not some zebra-print-high-heal-air-head reading Cosmo while caking on lips gloss. Lucky for him, he knew the book she was reading. Lucas found an in. After that, their conversation just flowed naturally. They clicked. Before he knew it, they were drinking wine and discussing wine appellations in Eastern Washington. "I'm surprised you drink wine" She said, her dark brown eyes beamed at him as she fiddled with her earring. "Why is that? I'm really fucking sophisticated and shit." She busted up laughing, nearly spitting out her wine. He couldn't help but laugh with her. Katie's laugh was contagious and...charming. "Like, that's so deep dude" She responded "You beam intellectitudalism." She expanded her hands for emphasis. "I know. I make it look so possimpable AND I have bold profoundexdidy. It's no big deal though." They laughed even harder and topped off their glasses. He tried to recall a time when he'd met a girl who got all the TV references but he already knew that never was one. Until now. They decided to get food other than the oyster crackers and cheese the wine bar had to offer. As they walked out, he glanced over at her profile. Her face was striking, angular yet feminine. She pushed up her glasses and shrugged "So where to?" In a flash, it hit him that she had an innocence he hadn't known he'd been searching for. Suddenly lust slapped him so hard his cheeks flushed. He grabbed her and kissed her without consent. He didn't know what to expect but her slamming him against the wall and welcoming his tongue somehow surprised him. Her hands ran through his hair, his hands ran up her sides, down her body. He groaned and his hand searched her bare skin. She pulled away and he nearly fell to his knees from the shock. Katie looked down and ran her finger over her bottom lip. He could see the deep crimson flush of her cheeks. "I think I should go" His heart sank. No, his head screamed. He didn't want the night to end, not so soon. He didn't even care if they sat around drinking coffee and playing board games. He just wanted to be near her. Lucas didn't care to think about what it meant either. In a desperate attempt, clutching at straws, he suggested another place. Anywhere. He sighed with relief, mentally, at her acceptance. The awkwardness melted seamlessly. They started talking like nothing happened, but his body failed to register that shift. The next wine bar was crazy, crowded and fun. He nodded at a few classmates, slapped a few hands but found a small, semi-private table for the two of them. Their closeness only increased the rush of blood from his brain. He needed some alcohol, maybe, just maybe that would help. Their waitress came stalking up but Lucas didn't even notice until she set their plate down. Then, she was inches from his face with a look that screamed sex in no uncertain terms. His libido came to a screeching halt and he gave her a sneer before he could stop himself. He could see the caked on makeup, the jet black eye liner and the pale, veiny cleavage right in his face. He was annoyed. He diverted her aggressive come on with a comment he knew would make her leave. It had the desired effect. But, he could see the look on Katie's face, saw her lose the moment they were having. Fuck, he thought. Some stupid blonde slut wasn't going to ruin his night. Without missing a beat, she shoved a piece of bruschetta inches from his face. He was delighted with her and bit into it. He smiled wide and wanted her even more when she ordered dessert. Girls never ordered desert in front of him. Ever. Even when he offered to share, they would suggest sharing something else. He didn't object, of course, but he never realized he'd been hooking up with the same kind of girls for years. Until now. They paired a Cabernet Sauvignon from the Champoux vineyard and chocolate crème brule topped with chocolate covered raspberries. "I know it's un-lady like to order desert in front of males, but again, this Cab cannot be savored without chocolate. If you thought that Merlot was good, this will end your life from sensory overload." The dessert appeared out of nowhere, like lightening. She took a bite followed by a sip of wine and moaned. Lust kept slapping him in waves as her mouth ran over the metal spoon and her moaning didn't help either. "Please eat some. I won't be able to finish it. Okay, I could but I would feel like a cow. And make sure you have the chocolate in your mouth and then take a drink. It's very important and I will pistol whip you if you get it wrong." He opened his mouth, suggesting she feed him. To his surprise, she did, but at the last minute smeared some on his face. "Awww, I should have seen that coming." He smiled and stuffed the remains in his mouth. He followed orders and sipped some wine without wiping off all of the chocolate. "Good God. That is borderline erotic" He exclaimed and took in every nuance that hit his palate. She laughed "You being serious with food all over your face is classic" He wiped off his mouth with a napkin, which he promptly crumpled up and threw at Katie. "Come on, low blow" She said with a mouth full of chocolate. He wanted so bad to lick chocolate off of her skin. Hell, he'd settle for just skin. The desert dwindled, as did their wine. They continued to laugh and make fun of each other. "By all means, have the last bite. It'll just go straight to my hips" He encouraged her. He was well past buzzed and was feeling bold. Her eyes did a once over after he said that. "Obviously" Katie shot back, eyes widening for dramatic effect. He couldn't help but laugh. "Are you sure you don't want some?" She opened her food filled mouth. He raised his eyebrows and nodded his chin. "Hey now, don't make promises you can't keep." She rolled her eyes and washed down the last of the food with wine. Before his better judgment stopped him, he went in for a kiss once again and she didn't stop him. The wine and chocolate tasted even better in her mouth. She snaked her arms around his neck and his hands rested on her sides, careful not to move too fast like last time. But, he got lost in the kiss and his hands had a mind of their own. Her smooth tongue and playful teeth made his blood pound. He wanted more. More skin, less public and less clothes. The kiss grew deeper, urgent and their hands where racing anywhere they could touch. The massive crowd was gone, the heavy, heart pounding lust was all they could hear. "Let's get out of here" She whispered into his ear, voice heavy with promise, followed by a small nibble on his ear lobe. Lucas needed no further explanation. His apartment was well within walking distance. He grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the bar. Katie forcefully dragged Lucas to her mouth once more and he couldn't even put up a fight if he wanted to. Once again, they were franticly making out in the street, not giving the public show a second thought. "Your place or mine?" She asked against his mouth, running her finger over his bottom lip while her heavy gaze followed. "Yes" was all he could spit out and hated how shaky his voice sounded. "Mine is just..." She started but he dragged her in the opposite direction.
