They touched the black glass in front of him and the desk lit up. A white keyboard appeared and he started to type on the touchscreen desktop. His fingers bounced around the screen, typing across the keyboard of light. You see, Zeke was a genius beyond his years. He was currently eighteen and in his second year of college. His masterful mind crossed with a youth of video games made him into one of the most skilled game programmers in history. It usually took a team of programmers close to a year to crank out a good game; Zeke could do it by himself in six months. He already had two complete games sitting on the table. The only problem was that, without a degree, no company would hire him or even look at his games. He didn't have enough money to start his own company and he couldn't get financing. So he trudged on through college, racing through classes, challenging some courses and just cruising through others. Lightning crashed outside his window and water pounded against it. It was a dark and stormy night, not a fun night to be on a sports team. Zeke smiled and turned back to his computer. He was sitting in a small dorm room, maybe fifteen feet square with a small bathroom off it. It only had room for a bed, a desk and a small fridge. It wasn't much, but it had got him through the first year of college. He was currently programming his life's dream, Athena. Known as the goddess of wisdom in Greek mythology, she was a genius computer program he was writing. She had started as a character in one of his games, but as he fell in love with her, he desired to make her more than that. He had long since created her figure in a 3D programmer. She was a young looking woman of his age, about eighteen. She had flowing curls of a deep turquoise that cascaded down her shoulders to a few inches down her back. She had the perfect feminine body, luscious globes, curvaceous hips, a soft backside and long slender legs. Her face was kind, with a perfect smile and crystalline, glowing blue eyes. Her nose was cute and she had dimples when she smiled. She was his perfect girl and he loved her with all his heart. Her mind was just as beautiful. He had been programming her with a logic matrix of decision making. Once she was finished, he would upload an entire human history and knowledge, but that would come later. He wasn't sure what would happen when she was booted up, but it was possible she would be able to talk and think on her own. It was what he was aiming for, but AI technology was so unstable and unknown to the general masses that he didn't know what would happen. AI's existed, but only in closed military settings and inside well protected government facilities, doing government work. There were no public AI's. Zeke was determined to change that with Athena. He was currently finishing up her personality code. Zeke was far beyond his years for a reason, he understood coding on a whole new level above the modern coder. He could see what the code made before he wrote it. He didn't see words and symbols; he saw people and cars, things being written by the code. Because of this, he could write things other coders couldn't imagine, such as a complete human personality. It had taken him nearly a month of almost sleepless coding, but he was determined to give Athena her own complete personality and make her perfect. He ran over the entire code one last time, scrolling through the few hundred pages in just a few minutes, seeing every smile, frown, scowl and laugh that he had given his goddess. Reaching the end, he typed in the final line and clicked enter. The page saved and he gave a cheer. His goddess was done! Lightning flashed and thunder exploded, shattering his window. His computer flashed colors and exploded. Lightning jumped to Zeke who was thrown backward, off his stool and flat against the door behind him. He slumped down and in the corner. His last conscious thought was a strange one: He thought he saw someone materialize on the floor of his room. ******* Zeke groaned and his eyes cracked open. His room was bright with sunlight and a soft breeze fluttered the cotton curtains around the broken window. "Oh what happened...?" Zeke groaned, feeling a great pounding in his head. His entire body ached and he swore that blood pounded in every hair on his body. He hadn't felt this bad since he had opted to do a keg stand at a frat party. Pushing himself up, he sat up and looked around. Zeke was an average kid of eighteen with short black hair, soft brown eyes and a thin, slightly athletic body. His eyes flitted around the room and he looked down at the floor. It was like lightning struck him again. Lying there on the floor, completely naked, was a person. Zeke's eyes opened wide as he stumbled to his feet. He looked down at the woman and his heart stopped. The woman was somebody he knew only too well, although he had never seen her in real life. He blushed at her naked body. Athena, his goddess, was stirring on the floor. He dropped to his knees beside her and brushed her beautiful turquoise hair out of her face. There it was, the most perfect face, crafted by his hand. He brushed the back of his hand down her cheek, feeling her soft and warm face. She mumbled and her eyes opened. Glowing crystalline blue, they were enrapturing. He stared into her face for a second while she looked up at him. Suddenly she gave a scream and started to scoot back frantically. She was making incoherent sounds as she backed onto his low bed and into the corner. She hugged her knees up against herself and panted madly. "Calm down, your okay, there's nothing wrong." Zeke said, stepping towards her. She shook her head, closed her eyes and buried her face in her knees. He tried to look away from her naked body. Crawling onto the bed next to her, Zeke pulled up one of his blankets and threw it over the top of her. The moment the cloth touched her, she jumped and stumbled forward, trying to get away from it. Zeke got up and grabbed her arms. She cried frantically, tears streaming down her face. She pulled out of his arms and ran for the window. Zeke saw her path and he ran to intercept her. He stepped in front of her and she hit him. Falling back with a cry, she hit the ground, still crying frantically. She wrapped her arms around herself and looked around in terror. She scrambled back to her feet and back peddled into the other corner of the room. Zeke blushed as she looked away from him, completely naked still. "Athena! Calm down..." Zeke said softly, holding up his hands as he walked over to her. He looked into her eyes and touched her arms softly. The moment she heard her name, she started to calm down. Zeke wrapped his arms around her and she put her hands on his chest, laying her head against him. He blushed again as her bare breasts pressed against his chest. "Do you understand me?" Zeke asked, pulling her back slightly. Athena sniffed and nodded slightly, "Y...Yes..." Her voice was like velvet. Softer than any he had heard before, yet so beautiful that it pierced his heart and brought it into his throat. He hadn't ever programmed or recorded a voice for her, so when this miracle happened, her voice had manifested itself according to her beauty. "Are you okay?" Zeke asked, guiding her over to the bed. "Yes...B...but the name you used...?" Athena started. "Athena?" Zeke said. "Yes, is it my name?" Athena asked uncertainly. "It is." Zeke nodded. "Who are you?" She asked. "I am Zeke." Zeke said simply. "And where am I?" Athena asked, looking around. "In my dorm, in the real world." Zeke said, reaching for the blanket again. He pulled it around her shoulders and she flinched slightly. "It's strange. What is this that is all over me? I don't understand..." Athena said, rubbing her hands uncertainly over her arms, "This sensation...It is...feeling..." "You don't know what it's like to feel?" Zeke said, raising an eyebrow, "Of course! I never programmed physical feelings for you. Warmth, cold, pain, pleasure, I never programmed any of it. How foolish I am. How could I possibly program a person! You can't code feeling, you can't program pleasure. It doesn't work!" "What? Program me?" Athena said, looking up at him. She grasped the edges of the blanket and snuggled it around herself. "Yes, you are my masterpiece, a program inside my computer. I made you and then something happened. The computer was struck by lightning and somehow...you came into existence! It's a miracle!" Zeke exclaimed happily. "So then you would be my...father?" Athena said uncertainly. "I suppose, but I just programmed you. Just call me Zeke, I'm a friend." Zeke said, smiling. "Okay then Zeke." Athena said, smiling. "First, we have to get you some clothes. I can't have a naked girl in my room." Zeke said, "Well, I could, but it would be very inappropriate if someone came in." "Naked? I am?" Athena said, pulling the blanket open, "Oh, would you look at that." "Of course, I never programmed in any modesty." Zeke said, almost smacking himself in the head. He had thought he had programmed a perfect being, but the longer he was around Athena, the more imperfections he found. Digging through his closet, he found a pair of sweat pants and a colorless T-shirt. "Here, put these on." Zeke said, handing her the clothes. "Um...okay. How do I do that?" Athena said, looking at the shirt in her lap. "Just take the shirt and put it over your head. Put your arms in the sleeves and it should look like this." Zeke said, pulling at his shirt. "Oh okay." Athena said, tossing the shirt over her head. After about a minute of fighting, it was apparent that she had no idea what she was doing. The shirt was inside out, upside down and wrapped around her head twice. Athena dropped her arms and sighed. "Do you need some help?" Zeke asked, looking at her. "Please, I have no idea what I am doing." Athena's voice was muffled by the shirt. Zeke stepped behind her and undid the shirt from around her head. He pulled it down and pointed out where to pull her arms through. He started to blush as she leaned back against him, her bare rear pressing against his crotch. "So do these go over my head as well?" Athena said, grabbing the sweat pants from the bed. "No, put your feet in the legs and pull them up." Zeke said, pulling at his pants. "Oh...okay." Athena said, bending over. Zeke blushed deeply red and turned around quickly as she bent over, showing her entire womanhood to him. Zeke had programmed every inch of her, but he had never programmed that. He had essentially made her a Barbie doll. Zeke was more logical than emotional; he was still a virgin and hadn't really dealt with women very often. He had a few girl friends before, but never really tried much with them. Maybe that's why he was still alone. Luckily enough, she managed to get the pants up to her waist by herself, but not before falling over on the bed from stepping on the bottoms of it. She held them up with one hand and looked over at Zeke. "Why is your face that color? Are you okay?" Athena asked, stepping towards him. Her pants fell down again and she reached down to pick them up. "Well...um...it's just...you're so...beautiful...and you're...immodest." Zeke said, looking back at Athena. He grabbed the sweat pants' strings and tied them tightly. "But you made me, so don't you already know my entire body?" Athena asked bluntly. "I made you, but there are...parts of you that I didn't. Plus, seeing you in real life is different than on my computer." Zeke said, scratching the back of your head. "Oh...So..." Athena said, clasping her hands together. "It's noon! I'm late for class!" Zeke yelled suddenly, "I'm sorry Athena, but you're going to have to stay here until I get back. There's something to eat in the fridge, the computer isn't working, but my laptop is and there's a bathroom in here. I've got to go!" He grabbed his book bag and was out the door in a flash. He locked it and closed it behind him as he ran for class. ******* Athena was baffled. She just watched Zeke, her creator; tell her something about a fridge, a computer and a bathroom, whatever each of those things was. She sat down on the bed and looked around. She was less than a day old and she didn't know what this world was. She looked over at the thing that he had called a laptop. Looking at it, something seemed incredibly inviting about it, incredibly familiar. Reaching for it, her fingers touched the plastic. Suddenly it all came rushing back to her. Her creation, the split second that she was alive in the computer and then she went rushing through an amazing thing. The bolt of lightning carried her through the computer, through her Creator and into the real world. Her mind awaken, all of the knowledge instilled in her by her creator, all of her creator's knowledge and all of his feelings filled her up. She had passed through his body and soul, absorbing all of what she could from him. She suddenly understood. Hunger, avarice, lust, hatred, anger, love, happiness, sadness, pleasure and every other human emotion and feeling surged through her body. She shook and shuddered, feeling all of them at once. Athena cried out and fell back on the bed, panting heavily. Her mind surged with knowledge, everything Zeke knew: coding, math, science, male anatomy. Sadly enough, his lack of reproduction left her incredibly lacking in knowledge about her own female anatomy. Taking the computer in her hands, she flipped it open. All of Zeke's knowledge about the computer was in her mind. Unlike the human brain, hers was a biological computer. She could access any piece of knowledge at any time or store nearly infinite amounts within it. Unlike computers, her chemically driven mind could store billions of Terabytes of data, leaving for nearly infinite possibilities. She brushed her hands over the keyboard. The flat pad lit up and a blue lit keyboard appeared there. Zeke's memories of the computer, long nights of study and short naps on the keys flickered through her mind's eye. She thought of turning on the computer and it turned on. Something inside her gave an electrical connection between her and technology. Athena felt the computer start up; it was, to her, like a life suddenly awakening in her hands. She looked down and realized she was touching a video port on one side and an accessory port on the other. She pulled her fingers back and lost the feeling of the computer. It seemed that when she was directly touching things that were connected to a motherboard, she could control it as if it were part of her. Feeling the electrical signals inside the computer, she sent her own into the computer. An internet window opened up and she began to search through the internet. Pictures and web pages flashed on screen. She absorbed each one of them, downloading gigabytes of information per second. Information about everything, humans, female anatomy history, animals and the world, everything contained on the internet that she could get her fingers on. She sat on the bed, cross legged with the computer in her lap for nearly four hours, watching pictures and information flit by faster than any human could read. She was not only absorbing the information through her eyes, but also through the electrical signals in her fingers, downloading it straight from the computer. ******* Zeke sighed and walked down the hall tiredly. He had just been through two classes and a seminar. His teachers had given him some advanced calculus homework and a programming project. It was easily six hours of work on his computer, which was now fried. He doubted anything survived the lightning strike. Reaching his dorm, number 304, he unlocked the door and stepped inside. Closing the door behind him, Zeke stepped past the bathroom and looked around. Athena was sitting on the bed, mesmerized by the laptop. Nothing else in the room had been moved and she was staring intently at some flashing colors and pictures on the screen. She wasn't touching the keyboard or the mouse pad, yet the screen was constantly changing. "Athena?" Zeke asked, looking down at her. She didn't move nor take her eyes from the screen. He stepped over to her, dropped his class bag and touched her shoulder. Athena jumped and the laptop slid from her lap onto the bed. She blinked, shook her head and looked up at him. "Zeke, my friend, I finally understand! Humans, computers, history...everything! I've been studying with your computer. I learned and compiled all of recorded human history, all known languages and all manmade science. I understand it all, even human reproduction and pleasure. Let me please you." Athena said, reaching for his pants. "Whoa! What are you talking about?" Zeke said, jumping back. "Your manhood let me please it. It's what friends do for other friend's right?" Athena said, smiling innocently, "It's what I found on the computer." "Athena, those that are in love do that kind of thing. We are only friends, not lovers." Zeke said, holding up his hands. "I know, but I felt your emotions and feelings about me when you were creating me. When I was created, I passed through your mind and collected all of your memories and knowledge. I know your entire being. You love me, so this is okay, yes?" She asked, completely oblivious. "You what...? Well yes...I love you, but this isn't right." Zeke said. "I don't understand. If you love me and I love you, then why can't we?" Athena asked, crossing her legs again. She put her hands on her legs and looked up at him. "It's a human thing, I may love you, but I don't want to sleep with you. Well, I do, but...I don't...I mean...it wouldn't be appropriate." Zeke stuttered uncertainly. "I don't get it. Humans are strange. You want something, but you won't take it, even when it's offered to you. You desire something, but you force yourself not to have it." Athena said, confused. "It's not in my head Athena, yes I love you, but as an object. I never had any sexual love for you. There's a difference in love." Zeke tried to explain. "Human's are strange." Athena sighed. "You're a human, so you better get used to it. So what are you doing on the computer?" Zeke said, flopping down on the bed next to her. "Learning about everything I can. I learned all about the history of humans, different wars, even your school. I learned about technology and about sex. It seems wonderful; I can't wait until I get to have it. Chemically, it seems like the most wonderful feeling a human can have." Athena said happily. "You...you did...um okay...good. So...um..." Zeke stuttered. "Whenever you decide that you love me and you want me, not just love me and not want me, let me know because I want to experience sex. Unless of course you give me permission to go find another suitable subject I may try with." Athena said in such a blissful innocence that Zeke couldn't help but smile. "Well...I...um...It's not that I don't want to make love...um...with you...it's just that...we don't really know each other...I programmed you, yes, but I don't know you." Zeke said. "If you made me, what's there not to know?" Athena asked, closing the computer. She put it aside and turned to watch him intently. "What are you like? What do you do for fun? What's your favorite color? There are a million things I never programmed about you that I want to know." Zeke said, "What makes you you!" "Well you made me me. Umm...for fun...I don't know...sex sounds like fun!" Athena said, smiling innocently. "What is it with you and sex?" Zeke asked, blushing as his eyes fell to her chest. He looked up quickly as she started to speak. Athena - Goddess of Wisdom "It's all over the internet, it seems like a lot of fun and it seems to be what the entire human race circles around. Even you seem to adore my breasts. I mean...if you don't want to...if you want to wait a little while, I suppose I could. Are you Christian?" Athena asked bluntly. "What...no. Wait, why?" Zeke was confused. "Well, Christianity seems to be the only logical reason why you would want to wait to have sex or maybe some other religion. Are you Jewish?" Athena asked. "I'm not religious. I just haven't had sex because I don't really want to. I've had a girlfriend before...I just never tried." Zeke said, looking down at the bed. "Does your penis work okay? Are you impotent?" Athena asked. "What? No, everything works fine. I've just never...you know...done it." Zeke said, blushing. "You've never had intercourse? Wow, you are such a wonderful human specimen. Considerably above average intelligence, in the prime of your life, short black hair, healthy, strong and such...beautiful brown eyes." Athena said, suddenly feeling warmth in her heart towards Zeke. "It's not just about looks. Girls just don't like me. I spend too much time in my studies and with my computer." Zeke sighed. He had lost his last girlfriend because he had missed a date to finish up one of his video games. "Your studies? You are an ingenious person, what could be wanted more? A smart healthy man like you gives the best possible chance for a healthy child and a good environment for the child to grow. Who wouldn't want a man like you?" Athena said, confused at this feeling in her chest. Her heart beat faster. "My studies! I've got to get started on my homework! If I don't start soon, I won't have all of it done before tomorrow. I'll be up until midnight finishing this." Zeke snapped suddenly, jumping for his back pack. He pulled out the school assignments and started to flip through them. "Wait! That packet there; let me see it." Athena said, jamming a finger in his homework. "This is my advanced calculus; I don't think you could do this." Zeke said, pulling out the ten page packet of calculus. "Nonsense, Give me a pen!" Athena snapped, holding out her hand. He handed her a black pen and she held the paper up on the wall. "Don't do that, if I turn in a paper in a girls' handwriting I'll get booted out of the class." Zeke said, reaching for her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll imitate your hand writing and mathematics style. Give me a minute here." Athena said, sticking her tongue out of the side of her mouth , "Done!" "No way, you can't have done it all...it's all done...perfect too...you did it all!" Zeke said, exasperated, "Thank you Athena, you saved me three hours of homework!" He threw his arms around Athena and pulled her into a tight hug. Suddenly realizing what he did, Zeke jumped back, blushing deeply, his heart thumped in his ears. "I...um...I'm sorry. I was just..." Zeke started to stutter. "It's okay Zeke, friends hug even if they're just friends!" Athena said, smiling brightly. "I...I suppose so..." Zeke said, looking down at his lap. "Don't worry Zeke, I love you too. It's okay." Athena said softly. "I know Athena. I'm going to try and fix my computer." Zeke said, slipping off the bed to sit in front of his computer. He pulled the side off and his eyes widened. Small burn marks pocketed the entire motherboard and the power supply was completely burnt up. "That looks like an easy fix." Athena said, slipping down off the bed next to him. "What are you talking about, this thing is completely destroyed." Zeke said, extricating the motherboard from the computer. He held it up to the light and cringed. "Nonsense, get a soldering iron and that roll of wire right there." Athena said, pointing at a wire spool on the desk. Zeke pulled his soldiering iron from the desk and plugged it in before grabbing the wire. "Watch this. Most of these circuits are useless; they just slow the computer down. Let me touch this here...wire this here...melt this...fry that circuit...burn this one...make a new connection..." Athena worked at the motherboard for nearly a half an hour before the entire thing was covered in new wires and circuits. She sighed and set it down. "This is it?" Zeke said, seeing Athena nod, "That's crazy. I wonder if it'll work." He put the computer back together and pulled out the power supply. He could fix the supply himself just by replacing a few wires and fixing a few other things. He put the entire computer back together and clicked the power button. Holding his breath, Zeke heard the computer's fan start up and colors played across the screen. It started up probably ten times faster than ever before. It reached the desktop in just a few seconds. He pulled open his programming equipment and it all loaded as fast as he could click it. The computer was racing faster than he had ever seen it before. "This is simply amazing! Thank you Athena! I'll be able to do my homework so much faster!" Zeke said, watching the computer load up his files and music in just a few nanoseconds. "Well...I can sort of feel the computer's electrical. I can control it and feel it with my fingers." Athena said, shrugging. Zeke's jaw dropped, looking over at Athena. It would seem that when she was made real, she retained her AI abilities. That would explain her amazing skill with calculus. "You're...you're a biological computer...I've made a biological computer." Zeke said, standing up. He touched Athena's face attentively, looking in her eyes, "I've done it..." Zeke felt light headed and his breath was short. One more breath and his vision blacked out. "Zeke!" Athena cried and Zeke felt her hands catch him and lower him to the ground. Chapter 2 - A Biological Computer Zeke groaned and shifted his head from side to side. A sweet voice floated through his head. He couldn't make out what it said, but its voice soothed his ears. His head ached slightly from a large knob on the back of it. 'It was just a dream.' he told himself, not wanting to open his eyes, 'I'm going to open my eyes and I'm going to be alone in my dorm, a stack of homework on my computer and a broken chair or something that made him fall over. Athena didn't come out of his computer. He was alone.' Zeke rolled over, feeling the familiar sheets beneath him and familiar blankets over him. He felt around slightly, noticing that he was in his underwear. He must've stripped down before he fell asleep. Not unusual, maybe it was hot in the dorm. He didn't remember the night before. Opening his eyes, Zeke thought he saw a hallucination from god. A gorgeous girl was bent over, touching her toes, completely naked. A fuzzy turquoise pussy was only a few feet from his face. Zeke felt his face flush and he put his face down in the blankets. It hadn't been a dream and Athena was naked in his room. His curtains were pulled tight over the broken window and pinned against the frame. "Athena...Why are you naked?" Zeke said, shielding his eyes from her naked body. "Because I...sort of...wet them." Athena said, slightly embarrassed. "What? Of course, I never programmed you to be able to use the bathroom." Zeke sighed, looking at the ceiling. "Well, I know how to use the bathroom. It's just that...I didn't know what was happening when it happened. It felt oddly tingly and good, so I didn't really do anything until I felt it down my legs. I swear it won't happen again..." Athena said, her voice wavering. "Go take a shower and clean up." Zeke said. "I already did, I'm just waiting for your pants to dry. I cleaned them as well. I learned all of these things with your computer...Zeke, why are you covering your eyes?" Athena asked nicely. "You're naked again." Zeke said, looking at the ceiling. "You know, while you were sleeping, I learned a few more things with your computer. I learned that you should enjoy looking at me. Being a young man, you should enjoy looking at women." Athena said, walking over close to him. "Look...I just...I think women should have their privacy and modesty. Unless we are lovers, I don't think we should be sharing our bodies." Zeke said, looking over at the wall. "Well...maybe we should become lovers then." Athena whispered. Suddenly she climbed onto the bed, straddling Zeke's waist. She bent over him and put her hands on his face. She forced him to look up at her. "No...no no no! This isn't right, Athena, get off!" Zeke cried, pulling up on the blankets, "Please Athena, don't do this!" "I...Fine...You're no fun." Athena sighed, getting off him. "Please put something on." Zeke said. Athena sighed and put on a shirt of Zeke's, letting it fall down past her waist. Zeke sat up and looked over at her. Athena was looking away from him with an unhappy look on her face. "Athena, I'm sorry, but I'm just not ready for that. I love you, I really do, but you don't understand human emotion yet. I just...if we ever do have sex, I want it to mean something." Zeke sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "Zeke...Take me with you to your classes today. Let me talk to some other people. I know I'm only two days old, but I've learned enough about people. I want to meet some other people. Say I'm a distant relative. You are Zeke Hiruko and I am Athena Hiruko." Athena said smiling happily. Zeke couldn't help but smile at Athena's cute dimples. "Fine...Fine, but you will just have to keep your head down in the actual classes." Zeke sighed, pulling up his pants. He looked up at the clock. He must've slept through the night, it was ten in the morning. He had classes in an hour. "Don't worry, here's all of your homework. It was easy to finish." Athena said, holding out a pile of papers and a memory card. "I love you so much." Zeke said leaning over to her, he gave her a light peck on the cheek. Athena forgot to breath for a second, reaching up, she rubbed where he had kissed. Something inside her was such a wonderful warmth that she never wanted it to stop. Her heart grew and she felt herself smile widely. "I feel it Zeke..." Athena said softly. "What?" Zeke asked, pulling his shirt over his head. "Love. Actual love, I think I feel it. When you kissed me, I just...I felt so wonderful. It was like a...a...I can't describe it. I feel so happy." Athena said, looking into his eyes. "I'm glad. Give it time and you will understand what I mean. That feeling of love, that is why I didn't want to have sex. Love is special and that is why it's so special." Zeke said, smiling. "I think I get it. It's so amazing." Athena said, clasping her hands against her chest. "Come on, let's get going. I want to get you a visitor tag so nobody asks anything." Zeke said, pulling his book bag over his shoulder. "Can I take the laptop along?" Athena asked, looking back at it. "Yes, just grab the computer bag with it." Zeke sighed, smiling kindly. ******* They sat down in Zeke's advanced calculus class. It was in an amphitheater class with close to two hundred students. The teacher, Mr. Owen, was a stern professor that didn't take roil or collect homework. You were simply expected to show up, do your work and pass your final tests. Zeke and Athena sat about mid class on the left side, watching students file in. "Wow, there's so many people. I wonder if I could meet them all." Athena said, looking around at all the different people. "I doubt it, class is about to start, please be quiet." Zeke said, pointing at Mr. Owen, who was standing at the front watching the last few students file in. "Class! Today we will be covering an important subject. Please take notes." Mr. Owen said, pointing at the board. An advanced calculus problem was written up there. The board was like Zeke's desktop, completely black except where Mr. Owen wrote with a special pen. The board lit up white in those particular spots. "Can anyone tell me the answer?" Mr. Owen asked. The entire class stayed quiet. Athena fidgeted. "Anyone at all?" Mr. Owen said, looking around. "I know the answer, what should I do?" Athena asked, looking over at Zeke. "Just stay quiet. Your not technically in his class." Zeke hissed. "Fine, this is how to answer it." Mr. Owen sighed, writing on the board. "He's wrong!" Athena said, a little to loudly. "Who said that?" Mr. Owen said, turning around quickly. "Athena, keep it down." Zeke hissed quietly. "But...Sir, you're doing it wrong!" Athena said, holding up her hand. "You, young lady in the white shirt and sweatpants, you said I was wrong?" Mr. Owen snapped angrily. "Yes sir, you've written it wrong." Athena said loudly so that everyone could hear. "Athena, shhh!" Zeke said, looking up at her. "Would you care to come up and fix it?" Mr. Owen said, tapping on the board. "Yes please!" Athena said, standing up. Mr. Owen scowled and stepped aside as Athena walked down the long staircase to the front of the class. "Here, fix it." Mr. Owen, holding out the pen. Athena took it and started to write beneath Mr. Owen's problem. She wrote across the entire board, writing nearly three times as much as Mr. Owen. She made notes and numbers on the outside of his problem, drawing arrows to his errors. By the time she was done, the entire board was covered in equations and she stood back, holding out the pen. Mr. Owen was stunned. Never in all his years had any student called him out on a problem and had proven him so wrong. "You...Young lady, why are you in my class? You should be teaching these classes. This is...my god...you are a genius. You've...it's all correct. All perfect. I'm sorry I doubted you." Mr. Owen said, exasperated. "It's okay, continue your class." Athena said, handing him the pen. She returned to her seat and sat down, smiling happily. "Well...Um...So apparently I was off in my equation." Mr. Owen said, rewriting the equation with Athena's corrections. ******* "I can't believe you did that in the middle of class. Nobody else I know would've gotten away with that." Zeke said as they walked out of the room. "Well, I couldn't let him teach your class incorrect math." Athena shrugged. "Okay, I don't have a computer class today, so let's go get some lunch." Zeke smiled. "Lunch? You know, I've never eaten anything yet. I was wondering what this ache was inside me." Athena said, putting a hand on her stomach. "Ha! You're hungry, that's great. A computer is hungry." Zeke chuckled, smiling at Athena. "Can you blame me? I learned a lot from computers, but you can't learn what it feels like to go to the bathroom or feel hunger. I know I got your memories and feelings, but I didn't really understand what I was feeling." Athena shrugged. "Athena, your hilarious. Come on, let's go grab a burger!" Zeke said, leading her out of the college building and into the commons. There was a small burger cafe on the other side. "Wow, it's so bright out here. The sun is so warm...it feels so good." Athena said, stopping to look up and hold out her arms. "It is a nice day isn't it." Zeke smiled. As they continued across the commons, Zeke felt Athena slip her hand in his. He didn't entirely mind. He was actually fairly happy to see Athena starting to understand human relationships. They reached the burger cafe and Zeke opened the door for her. "Thank you." Athena smiled, walking inside. "So what sounds good?" Zeke asked, looking up at the order board. "I don't know, I've never eaten anything before. I...Why don't you order. Pick something that you think is delicious." Athena said, scratching her head. "Two deluxe cheese burger meals, ." Zeke said, reaching for his wallet. "Eight fifty please." The cashier said, ringing it up. It took a few minutes for their order to come up. Zeke took it and they sat down at the table. Athena took one of the burgers and unwrapped it. The succulent smell of fresh cooked beef wafted under their noses. Athena lifted it to her mouth and took an awkward bite. "Well?" Zeke asked, seeing her chew and swallow. "It's...it's amazing. Its so vivid in my mouth. I can feel the flavors washing over my tongue. Its...I can't describe it. The flavor is so amazing." Athena said, taking a large bite. Zeke smiled, starting to eat his own burger. ******* Athena was still sipping on her soda as they left the burger cafe. "Its all so delicious. Is all food like that?" Athena said, licking her lips. "Not all, that burger parlor is just really good. I'll warn you, stay away from Spam. It looks like meat, but it has the texture of Jello and isn't tasty at all." Zeke said, sticking out his tongue. "Well, whatever this drink is, its scrumptious." Athena said, taking a sip, "What did you call it?" "Soda pop." Zeke said, "I thought you knew all of these things from the internet." "I know all of these things yes, I know what soda is. The only problem is that I don't have the taste, the feeling and the sensation to connect that knowledge with what items are which. I know the exact composition of this soda in my hand, every chemical and sugar in it. The only problem is that I didn't know that it was soda until you told me. You know that it's soda because someone else told you and you've connected the taste and refreshing sensation of this drink with what it looks like." Athena explained, "I know what everything is, Soda, Burgers, Spam, Jello. I know all of it, but the problem is that I can't tell it apart because Soda looks like coffee, but they taste very different. I don't know what Coffee tastes or smells like, but I know what it is and that it exists." "I suppose your right." Zeke said, surprised at her explanation. "Humans connect objects more with feel, scent and taste more than looks and knowledge. Because of that, I have almost no knowledge about what is what." Athena sighed. "You are so amazing Athena. I can't ever get over the fact that I made you. It seems so impossible that you are here, that you are alive. You were meant to be a program in my computer, but instead you are here with me." Zeke said, pointing at his laptop over her shoulder and then to her heart. "Well, I'm glad I'm here too. Because If I was just in your computer, I couldn't do this..." Athena smiled, sliding her hand into his, "I don't know what it is, but I just enjoy holding hands with you." "Me too. So what do you want to do?" Zeke asked as they wandered across the commons. "Zeke...I...Um...sort of...want to go shopping for clothes." Athena said, kicking her feet uncertainly. She was wearing an old pair of his flip flops that really didn't fit her. "Of course! You can't wear around my old clothes forever. I have quite a large sum of money in my bank from an old program that I helped make, I got considerably more than I need to get through college for it. I could spare some money for you." Zeke smiled, looking at Athena. "Yippie!" Athena cried, smiling and clapping her hands together happily. "You are more like a girl every minute." Zeke smiled, taking her hand again. "You love it." Athena smiled. "I do." Zeke said, squeezing her hand. ******* They stood in the girls department at the clothing store on campus. Zeke felt a little uncomfortable because Athena was just humming and wandering about, looking at all of the lingerie. "So girls just wear this?" Athena said, holding up a tiny lacy thong. "Well...Um...sometimes...but that's...that's underwear. You know, they wear it under their clothing." Zeke said, "Shouldn't you know this?" "Not really, I know some about clothing, but I didn't really search much into it. I spent more time on history, society and science. I do know what these are for though." Athena said, holding up a bra to her shoulders. "Are you going to choose some stuff, I'm getting a little uncomfortable in here." Zeke said, looking around. Athena - Goddess of Wisdom "Of course, this looks about my size and it's so cute." Athena squeaked, holding up a bright yellow bra. She grabbed a matching pair of panties, luckily enough not a thong, but regular panties. "You have to get more than underwear." Zeke sighed, seeing her start off for the changing rooms. "I do? Ok, what should I get? What do you want me to wear?" Athena said turning around. "I don't know. I've never shopped with a girl before. None of my girlfriends before really ever wanted me to do anything with them. I suppose they just used me to finish their homework. Kind of pathetic I suppose." Zeke sighed. "Well, what do you think looks cute on a girl?" Athena asked. "I...um...I sort of like...long skirts...Something about the flowing material...it just makes a girl so beautiful." Zeke said, looking at his toes. "Well, then lets find me a skirt!" Athena said, grabbing his hand. It was nearly fifteen minutes before they made it to the changing room. She had four or five sets of panties and bras, four skirts, two pairs of shorts and seven shirts. "Aren't you coming in?" Athena asked, seeing him sit down outside the changing rooms. "No, you're trying on underwear and clothes." Zeke said, "Just put on some of the clothing and come out and show me." "Oh, like a fashion show!" Athena giggled, closing the door. She took a few minutes before she came out and Zeke's jaw dropped. Athena was wearing a long flowing white skirt and a beautiful short summer top that showed a small amount of her flat stomach and her belly button. She held out her arms and spun around, the skirt spun out slightly. "Do I look good?" Athena asked, seeing his expression. "You're beautiful!" Zeke said, aghast at her beauty. "Good, I was worried that I would look bad without the bra. I couldn't get it to work. It fit perfectly, I just couldn't get it to snap together back there. The panties are really comfortable though." Athena said putting her hands on her breasts. They weren't large, but they were a perky B cup. "Well...I...um...Yea...I suppose." Zeke stuttered, blushing slightly. "Could you come in and help me. You don't have to look, I just need help snapping the bra." Athena said, pointing in the changing room. "I...uh...um..." Zeke stuttered. Athena sighed, grabbed his hand and tugged him in the room. She shut the door behind him and turned away from him. Zeke looked at the floor as she unbuttoned her shirt and let it drop. She grabbed the yellow bra and pulled it up to her shoulders. "Just grab the clasps and clip them together. You won't see anything." Athena said. He looked up, in the mirror, she had a shirt pressed against her chest and the bra straps hung behind her arms. She smiled, seeing him looking over her shoulder. Zeke grabbed the clasps nervously and brought them together, clipping them carefully. "See, that wasn't so bad. Wow, this is surprisingly comfortable. I suppose I don't have that large of breasts though, so it doesn't really matter." Athena sighed, pulling on another shirt. It was a longer shirt of a pastel green. She buttoned it up and turned around for him to see. "Still beautiful." Zeke smiled, "Can I go?" Athena smiled and nodded. ******* Nearly a half an hour later, because Athena insisted on trying on every pair of underwear and every piece of clothing with each other piece, they were walking to the register with a basket loaded down with a ton of clothes. "Zeke, are you sure this is okay? I've don the math, this is over two hundred dollars!" Athena asked politely. "Of course it is, I have more money than you know. In fact, I could probably enroll you at the college just so that you can stay there legally." Zeke said, thinking of his bank account. Nobody knew it, but he had made over two hundred thousand dollars from the program he had made, and through the last few years, he had only used about fifty thousand on tuition and computers. He was only too happy to buy clothes for Athena. They rang it up and it came out to the exact number that she had said. Zeke paid for it in cash and they left with a few bags in their hands. "Thank you Zeke." Athena said, pecking him on the cheek. "You deserve it, you'll be talked about for months, nobody will forget the blue haired girl who showed up Mr. Owen." Zeke chuckled, still feeling her lips on his cheek. They walked together back to the dorm, listening to the birds chirp and the wind play through the leaves. It was mid spring and early in the quarter for the college. They reached the dorms and took the elevator up to the third floor. Athena led the way down the hall, a skip in her step. Zeke unlocked the door with his open hand and stepped into their small dorm room. It was past dinner time and the sun was setting. "Hey Zeke, there's a note here." Athena said, pointing at his desk, "Your broken window has been fixed and a two hundred dollar charge has been added to your tuition for its replacement. This is a warning, do not vandalize again or you will be evicted. Zeke, why do they think you broke the window?" "Because they have no proof it was anyone else. I wasn't going to lie about it, but they never even came and asked me. It's only money, I don't care." Zeke said, setting down her bags. "I have clothes now, I'm so happy!" Athena bubbled, looking through each of the bags happily. "Well, I'll have to show you where the laundromat is sometime so you can wash your own clothes. In the mean time, I'm going to order pizza for dinner." Zeke said, pressing a thumb to his desk. The keyboard lit up and he opened the schools page. Scrolling through it, he found the campus pizza shop and started to type his order. Within a few minutes, he sent it and sat back down on his stool. "Thank you Zeke, your the best." Athena said, wrapping her arms around his neck from behind. "If you say so, although I'm going to have to dig a sleeping bag out of the closet, you can have the bed." Zeke said, standing up. She clung to him, "You know, you're going to make this very difficult." "Yea, I know." Athena chuckled, dragging her feet behind him. ******* The pizza had showed up and they laughed and chatted while eating it. Athena enjoyed the pizza, but she didn't like the olives and peppers. After a few slices each, they were sitting close together on the bed. "You know Zeke, I...I..." Athena gave a great yawn. The look of confusion on her face made Zeke bust out laughing loudly. "What was that?" She asked, a bewildered look still on her face. "A yawn. It means your tired and you need to get some sleep. Here, you can wear one of my larger shirts for some pajamas." Zeke said, getting up. He pulled an extra large out of his closet and tossed it over to her. He turned away quickly as she pulled her shirt and bra off. She pulled it over her head and gave another yawn. "Are you sure it's okay for me to sleep in your bed? I don't want to deprive you." Athena said as he pulled back the covers. "It's fine, I've got a sleeping bag." Zeke said, pulling it out of the bottom of his closet. He rolled it across the floor next to the bed. "Okay, if you...if you...say so..." Athena yawned yet again. "Come on, get in." Zeke said, grabbing the blankets. She crawled under them and laid her head down on the pillow. He pulled the covers up to her shoulder. "Will I dream?" Athena asked quietly. "Will you dream, why?" Zeke asked, sitting down on the bed next to her. "Well, one of the things that really interested me was human dreaming. A wonderland where anything could happen, you get to dance and play while your body sleeps. Do you think I will?" Athena asked. "I suppose so. Your not a computer program anymore, so I don't see why not." Zeke said, brushing hair out of her face, "Good night." He bent over and kissed her forehead. "Good night Zeke." She sighed. He got up and turned off the light. "Zeke! Zeke, where'd you go?!" Athena cried. "I'm right here, I just turned the light out." Zeke said, touching her shoulder. "Why did you do that?" Athena asked, looking up at his shadowy outline. "Because that's what I do at night, I don't like to sleep in the light. What did you do last night when I was out cold?" Zeke asked. "I didn't sleep, I worked on the computer all night." Athena said, a waver in her voice. "It's okay, there's nothing to be afraid of in the dark." Zeke said, giving her another kiss on the cheek. He slipped down from the bed, took off his shirt and slipped into the soft sleeping bag. As his eyes closed, there was a rustling behind him. Athena was moving around in the bed. Suddenly the back of the sleeping bag lifted up and Athena slipped in behind him. "I'm still scared Zeke, can I sleep with you?" Athena said quietly. "I suppose so." Zeke said, moving over. She cuddled up behind him and wrapped her arm around him. Within a few minutes, her breathing softened and she fell asleep. Zeke smiled, half asleep himself as he thought about her. Athena was amazing, she was his everything. He had only known her two days in real life and yet his heart burst with love for her. It was the first time in his life he had actually cared about somebody like this. His other girlfriends had just been flings, they hadn't really meant that much to him. But Athena was different. She was closer to his heart than anyone every before. Maybe it was because of the miracle that caused her to come about or it was the fact that he had a hand in her creation, but he cared deeply for her. Everything about her was perfect to him. Her playful innocence, her knowledge and yet her lack of knowledge and her adoration of him. He fell asleep with thoughts of cute turquoise curls bouncing through his head. ******* Zeke awoke the next morning having slept wonderfully, dreaming of Athena the whole night. He sighed and sat up, Athena was missing. Standing up, he heard her sweet voice humming in the bathroom. The shower was running and the bathroom door was open a few inches. Either it was the early morning haze in his mind or the thoughts of his goddess in the shower, but Zeke couldn't help himself. He walked to the bathroom and looked at the open door. The bathroom was steamy and Athena was behind the frosted glass of the shower. He leaned against the door frame and watched the mirror intently, watching her blurry shape in the shower. Suddenly the water shut off and the frosted glass door opened to the shower stall. He caught a glimpse of a wet bare breasts and he closed the door quickly. "Zeke, is that you?" Athena asked, stepping across the bathroom. She opened the door and peeked out from behind the door. "Yea, I just noticed the door was open." Zeke said, blushing. "Were you peeping?" Athena teased, closing the door. "N...No..." Zeke stuttered, walking away. He felt horrible for spying on her, but it had just seemed so tempting. The door clicked open behind him and Athena walked out. She stepped up behind Zeke and threw her arms around his neck playfully. "You were, I saw you..." She whispered in his ear. Athena smiled and stepped past him, only wearing a towel around her chest and one wrapped up on her head. "I...I...Uh...um..." Zeke could only stutter. He turned and tripped over the waste basket and landed half on the bed. "Falling over yourself now?" Athena teased, chuckling as she pulled up her panties beneath the towel. "Oh shut up." Zeke said, trying not to laugh as he looked at the opposite wall. Athena laughed loudly. It was a sweet, soft laugh that played over his ears and made him smile. Zeke smiled until he started to laugh himself. Athena, wearing a t-shirt and shorts, jumped on top of him and put her hands on his back. "You peeping tom." Athena teased, lying down on his back with her arms crossed on his shoulders. "Aha!" Zeke rolled over suddenly and caught her in his arms, holding her close, "Can you blame me?" "No..." Athena smiled, "I'd peak on you too." Zeke smiled and had a sudden urge. He leaned up and kissed Athena on the lips. Her eyes opened wide, surprised at his suddenness, but she closed her eyes and kissed back. They kissed for a minute. "I love you." Zeke sighed, looking into her crystalline blue eyes. "I love you too." Athena said, looking into his soft brown eyes. Chapter 3 - A New Project Athena and Zeke sat together in his room, working on his computer. They hadn't gone anywhere further than kissing and rolling round a bit, but it had been a fun time. They were currently writing a new program that Zeke had been toying with in his head since Athena came into existence. A program that could take living beings in and out of the computer. "So, this is how you make a computer read biological code?" Zeke said, scrolling through the few thousand page list of code that Athena had been writing for a few hours. "Well, this is what I can come up with. I can't guarantee anything, but if you want to move between biological and digital, this is the best I can think of. The only problem is now we need something that can take this and turn it into a driving force." Athena said, crossing her legs on the bed, "It's not like we can count on a bolt of lightning each time." "A bolt of lightning..." Zeke said, scratching his scraggly, unshaven chin. "The amount of power to theoretically digitize or create human flesh is immense and I think it would take more than a bolt of lightning if you want to do the reverse of what happened to me." Athena said. "I...I think I need to get together with a few of the professors here and show this to them. If I can get funding for this, I'm talking tens of millions of dollars, I could go down in the history books. I could change everything. Imagine if people could pass between a digital universe where anything's possible and real life. It would change everything." Zeke said. "It would be a ground breaking discovery." Athena agreed. "Imagine the possibilities. Transportation, research, learning, it could all be changed!" Zeke said happily. "Don't get ahead of yourself. We still need to figure out how to make this into a working product. We don't know if there's even technology to make this code work. It would be intensely experimental." Athena said warningly. "Experimental...Of course! The old engineering building. There's an old lightning dome there. But how would I convince the college to let me use it? Hmmm..." Zeke said, scratching his chin. "Let's just buy it!" Athena popped up with happily. "We can't just buy it. It's a three quarter of a million dollar building. There's no way I can get that kind of money." Zeke said, "And if I get it with funding, other professors are going to want in. Plus, we have no guarantee they would give us funding anyway, it's all theoretical." "Of course we can get that kind of money. Let's go down to the bank ATM and change your account balance!" Athena said. Zeke just stared at her with a half confused, half stupefied expression. "I can hack things with my fingers remember. I bet I can hack the ATM to give your account a million dollars." Athena said, holding up her hands. "That would be far too suspicious. How on earth would I have gotten a million dollars over night." Zeke said, shaking his head. "What if I make it look like it had been wired from a few dozen accounts all over the world, no amount bigger than a thousand dollars and no account from the same bank?" Athena suggested. "Could work, but let's set up a new account, under a fake alias. Then I won't be connected with it until I actually make the purchase." Zeke said. His only thought was that there was no way it could work. ******* "I can't believe that worked!" Zeke cried as they walked away from the ATM. "Toldja!" Athena said, poking at his nose. "And having the account in that foreign billionaires name, ingenious! When they actually trace it back to him, they'll either just assume he was making the purchase or he'll keep them quiet." Zeke said happily. "I am a computer you know, I know how these things work. There's only a 1.649 percent chance that it can come back to you. That's almost nothing!" Athena chuckled as they started back for the dorm. They had just done it from the campus ATM and it had taken less than a minute. Apparently the banks were secure, but not from somebody that can actually feel inside computers. ******* "You what?!" The Dean yelled. "I would like to buy the old engineering building on the very east edge of the campus. I have enough money for an estimate price, but I would like to hear what you want for it." Zeke asked politely. He was sitting in a high backed chair across from the dean of his college. "Well...If we're going to discuss this, I need your friend to wait outside." The Dean said, pointing to Athena. She started to get up and Zeke held out his hand. "No, she can stay. She is here to help me negotiate a price. Now, I understand that the facility has heavy connections to the city's main power grid. I would like these left intact and the lightning equipment inside left where it is. I need it all." Zeke said, clasping his hands together on the table. "You what...? Zeke, I know you're one of the most advanced students here, but what makes you think I would leave you all of the college's lightning equipment?" The Dean said, pinching his nose. "Because if you don't, I will simply buy more. It's just easier to let me buy yours and then you can go buy more when you guys need it. Now, what is your asking price?" Zeke said, looking in the Dean's eyes. "What makes you think it's for sale? That building is important to the college, I couldn't possibly sell it." The Dean said, waving him off. "That building hasn't been used in ten years. You will sell it to me." Zeke said coldly. "You couldn't afford it." The Dean said simply. "Try me." Zeke said seriously. "Okay, eight hundred thousand dollars!" The Dean said, with a smirk that says 'I win'. "I couldn't pay a cent over six." Zeke said, sitting back. "Six? Six what, six thousand?" The Dean said, trying not to laugh. "No, six hundred thousand? Do you take me for a fool?" Zeke said, raising an eyebrow. "Six hundred thousand, you couldn't possibly have that much money." The Dean said. "I assure you I do." Zeke said, nodding to Athena. She opened his laptop to show the Dean their fake account. The balance showed an even million. "Fine, seven hundred and sixty." The Dean said, crossing his arms. "Six hundred and fifty." Zeke said, mimicking him. "Seven hundred and twenty, no lower!" The Dean said, waving his hand. "Six hundred and sixty, no higher!" Zeke said, waving his hand. "Seven hundred and twenty, take it or leave it." The Dean said, getting slightly frustrated at him. "Fine, you have convinced me, one million dollars!" Zeke said, holding out his hand, "But a third of it must go to scholarships for new students." "A...A million?!" The dean said, disbelieving. "Take it or leave it." Zeke said, imitating the Dean's earlier actions. The Dean, still stunned, shook Zeke's hand. "Okay, give me an account number and I can have you the money in just a few minutes." Zeke said, sitting back down. "Well I...Um...okay, here, put it in this one." The Dean said, scribbling a number on a piece of paper. "You promised me though, a third of it to scholarships." Zeke said sternly. "Of...of course." The Dean nodded. "Done, the money is now in your account." Athena nodded to the Dean. The Dean, astounded, clicked on his computer. After a minute, his jaw dropped and he looked over at them. "Well, I'll have a lawyer right up the papers tomorrow. The building and the surrounding land is now yours." The Dean nodded, "But be careful, that lightning equipment is dangerous. Don't go hurting yourself now."
