A Keychain of Girls

Chapter 1 - The Keychain

Danny sighed and looked around his room. He was going on four days without sleep now. It was after dinner time and he was just sitting in his room thinking. His life had gone consistently downhill in the past two weeks. His father and his sister passed away within a week of each other. Being a senior in high school, he could bottle himself up and push on. His mother however couldn't. So she bottled her emotions in another way. Over the last week, she had become a moping drunk. She had barely left her bed in four days, constantly drinking and mindlessly watching television. She only got out of bed for more liquor or to use the toilet. It was really starting to get to Danny.

They lived in a small two bedroom apartment. Danny had been sharing his room with his fourteen year old sister. Now he was in there alone. His mother never went to her bedroom anymore. She had dragged her futon mattress into the main room and had stayed there.

Three days now with naught but a few minutes of sleep. Danny couldn't take it much longer.

"D...Danny!" His mother Jen cried from the living room.

"Yes mother...?" Danny sighed, walking out there.

"We're...we're out of whiskey..." Jen hiccuped, "Go to...to the store and get some more."

"Mother, I can't buy alcohol, I'm not old enough." Danny sighed.

"Lie to 'em. Who cares...just go get some more whiskey." Jen said, turning back to the television.

She was a relatively young woman, only thirty six. Skinny, with long beautiful legs, she had an ample C cup chest and breast length brown hair. Danny's father had fallen for her like a lumberjack falls a tree. However, Danny got his father's looks and short black hair. However, right now her hair was a mess, her face was flushed and she reeked of liquor. Her clothes were dirty and old, she hadn't changed in days.

"I can't do that mother." Danny said, "However, you have a bottle of Sake in here."

He pulled a white bottle out of the fridge and handed it to her.

"Oh...yay...I like Sake." She hiccuped and took a long pull from it. She rolled onto her side, facing away from him to watch television. She was propped up on one elbow.

"What am I going to do with you?" Danny sighed, sitting down behind her.

He grabbed a comb from the kitchen table and started to brush out the knots in her hair. Danny loved his mother dearly and it hurt him to see her like this. However, losing her husband and only daughter so close together almost killed her.

"Would you cut that...that out!" Jen said, turning to look back at him.

"But mother, if you let yourself go like this..." Danny said, "At least go take a shower."

"For what? So that I can leave the house and...and...*Hiccup*...lose you too?" Jen cried, slapping the lid on the Sake bottle.

She dropped it and threw her arms hysterically around Danny's neck.

"I can't lose you too!" She cried loudly, tears running down her cheek.

"You won't mother." Danny said, wrapping his arms around her, "I'll always be here for you."

"You're...You're such a wonderful son!" Jen balled, moving closer to him.

She fell forward and landed on top of him. Danny sighed and ran his hand calmingly down the back of her head. Jen hid her face in his neck and cried loudly.

"You're such a...a good boy...so nice...and strong...and..." Jen pushed herself up with her hands on his chest. She straddled his waist. Her face was flush and she was smiling now. She bent over him and put her hands on his face.

"Mom, you're drunk." Danny said, pushing her back up.

"I'm not as think as you drunk I am!" Jen hiccuped loudly.

"Come on mom, you need to collect yourself." Danny said, trying to sit up.

"Who...who said you could go anywhere..." Jen stuttered, "I'm not through with you...strong man..."

"Mom!" Danny said, realizing what she was doing.

"I love you so much." Jen said, unbuttoning her shirt.

"Mother! I'm your son!" Danny said, starting to freak out.

"Come on! It would be good for both of us..." Jen smiled, tossing her shirt away. She wasn't wearing any bra. Danny blushed slightly at the sight of his mother's ample breasts.

"No mother! It's wrong, get off me!" Danny pushed her.

She fell back onto her bed and laughed loudly.

"Such a...a strong man! I'm getting really hot!" Jen said, squirming herself out of her sweat pants. She wasn't wearing panties either. He couldn't help but notice that she was completely hairless from the waist down.

"Mother!" Danny said, getting up.

"Really...hot..." Jen sighed, turning onto her side.

She curled up, her sweatpants around her knees.

"Mom..." Danny sighed, stepping over to her.

She hiccuped loudly and curled her arms under her head. Danny knelt down next to her and wrapped his arms under her shoulders and legs. He grunted and picked her up. She sighed and tiredly cuddled her head up against his chest. He was lucky that she was so skinny because Danny wasn't really that strong of a boy. Jen's pants fell off and Danny carried his naked mother into the bathroom. He carefully set her down in the bathtub and rested her head gently against the back edge of the tub.

Turning on the hot water, he filled the tub half full and turned it off. Grabbing the rag, he filled it with soap and started to wash Jen. She was unconscious the whole time as Danny scrubbed her. He carefully washed her nether region and Jen gave a sigh and a moan. Finishing her long slender legs, he rinsed her off and grabbed the shampoo.

"Mom...I wish you would get yourself together..." Danny sighed, starting to wash her long hair.

Jen was washed and in clean panties. He put her in his bed while he went and washed her alcohol soaked bed linens. It was hard for him to keep up with everything in the apartment, but he was managing. Luckily enough, Danny's father's family had left them around fifty million yen. While not entirely a fortune, it was more than enough for Danny and his mom to live for six or seven years and still have enough for Danny to go to College.

He came back from the apartment laundromat a half an hour later with a basket of sheets. Jen was still sleeping soundly in Danny's bed. He smiled and remade her bed. For the first time since her daughter's death, Jen looked clean and at peace. Danny uncovered her and picked her up gently. She wrapped her arms tiredly around his neck and nuzzled up to his chest. He put her back in her bed and tucked her in. She was reluctant to let him go, but he pulled her arms off and pulled the blankets up over her.

"At least you can sleep." Danny said, turning to the door, "I'll be back soon mom."

Danny raised an eyebrow at the dark little store on the corner. It was new and there were no signs outside. He opened the door and stepped inside. A strong incense met his nose and he cringed slightly.

"Good afternoon." The ancient looking man behind the counter said.

"Interesting store you have." Danny said, looking around at the walls.

"Well, to one as troubled as you, I doubt it makes much of an impact." The old man said.

"What?" Danny said, walking over to him.

"Oh...I was just noticing the aura around you...it's horribly troubled." The old man said.

"You've no idea." Danny chuckled.

"I have something that could help you sleep." The old man said.

"Wh...how do you know about that?" Danny said.

"I know a lot about you Danny." The old man smiled, digging behind the counter.

"And now you know my name...this is a little creepy..." Danny said.

"Here...keep this close by and I can guarantee you a night sleep tonight." The old man held out a wood box.

"For free?" Danny raised an eyebrow.

"Well...I want to help you...so...a thousand yen." The old man smiled.

"Okay...I'll try it." Danny said, digging in his pocket.

He paid the man and opened the box. Inside was a keychain with three small figures hung from it.

"It's just a keychain..." Danny said, looking at the figures, all three were anime looking girls.

"Just trust me." The old man smiled, "Oh and take this to your mother. This one is free."

He held out a bottle of whiskey.

"Ooookay..." Danny said, taking the bottle.

He walked back home, a little creeped out.

"Who's that?" His mother asked suddenly as he walked in.

"It's only me mother." Danny said.

"Hi Danny." She said, turning back to the television.

"Are you doing better mom?" Danny asked, walking over to her.

"I could use a drink." She said, "Is that whiskey?"

"Yes." Danny sighed, holding out the bottle.

"Oh goody!" She said, taking it from him.

"I'm going to try and get some sleep mother..." He sighed, walking to his room.

"G...G'night son!" She said before taking a drink of whiskey.

He sighed and undressed. The Keychain rattled in his pocket and he took it out.

"I bet that old man just swindled me." He sighed, wishing the keychain would really help.

He clipped it to the pull string for the blinds and fell into bed. His mind was still swirling around like a vortex and he couldn't figure out how a keychain would help. Sighing, he pulled up the blankets and curled up with his pillow.

Before too much longer, he actually fell asleep.

Chapter 2 - The Girls

Danny yawned and tried to stretch. Someone was cuddled up to him with their arms wrapped around him. He was only too aware of soft bare breasts pressed up against his arm. He looked over and sighed. His mother was mostly naked and cuddled up close to him. He sighed and wriggled out of her arms. Sitting up on his knees, he looked down at his drunk mother. She must have drank the entire bottle of whiskey and then worked her way in here. He was so exhaused and slept so soundly that he had never noticed her slipping into his bed. At least that's all she had done. She was only wearing the yellow panties that Danny had put on her yesterday.

"You have a gorgeous mother." A girls voice sounded out in the room.

"Who's there?!" Danny spun around, looking for someone.

"Down here dummy!" Another girl called.

"What?" He looked over at his bed side stand.

"Over here cutey-pie." A spunky third girls voice said.

Three little girls were waving to him from atop his alarm clock where they sat. Each were about five inches tall. His jaw dropped when he saw them. The three girls from the old man's keychain were sitting there waving happily. The first was a girl who looked mid twenties with exceptional D cups and long crimson hair that fell about her backside. She wore a full length dress and a white apron. The second was a girl who looked about Danny's age. She wore a pleated skirt and a purple top. She had long black hair that fell in her face and A computer sat in her lap. Large round glasses sat on her nose. The third was a girl with a long fluffy blonde fox tail and ears. Dirty blonde hair fell to her neck. She only wore a tight yellow top and short pink shorts that were cut low in the back to accommodate her tail that grew from the base of her spine.

"What...?" Danny stuttered in disbelief.

"What's wrong cutey, never seen a fox girl before?" The fox girl said standing up. She blew him a kiss and smiled deviously.

"Oh stop being so mean. We're the sprites of the Keychain. I'm April, the computer girl is Chiu and the foxy one is Koto." The older one said, giving Koto a smack on the arm.

"Grrr..." Koto growled, clenching her fists by her sides.

"Down puppy." Chiu said, prodding Koto in the side.

Koto barked loudly and leaped on Chiu. Chiu managed to get her computer on top of the alarm clock before Koto barreled her to the ground. Chiu fought back courageously, however the fox girl was too spirited for her. A minute later, Chiu was lying face down with Koto sitting on her back.

"Koto, get off her." April said with a cold tone of seriousness.

Koto sighed and stood up before helping Chiu back to her feet. Chiu sighed and blew some hair out of her face.

"Are...are you real...or am I hallucinating from lack of sleep?" Danny stuttered, crouching down to get a better look at them, "You sure are tiny."

"I'll show you tiny." Koto cried, taking a running leap off the table.

She suddenly grew into a full size girl and tackled Danny to the ground. Danny could see now that she had yellow eyes and long fangs in her mouth. She growled loudly and bared her fangs. Danny screamed and tried to shove her off, however she had too good of grip on him. She moved closer to his face, her fangs bared and at the last second when it seemed she would tear out his throat, she kissed him on the lips.

"Ha ha! I had you going good!" Koto said, jumping to her feet as Daniel sat up, "We're sprites, just because we're small sometimes doesn't mean we can't be normal sized!"

Danny made a squeaking sound and fell over backwards, fainting.

"Koto...You made him faint." April sighed.

*******

"Danny...Danny...honey wake up." His mother's voice brought him back to consciousness.

"M...Mom?" Danny said, looking up at her, "Ohh...I had the strangest dream..."

"A dream about us?!" Koto called from her seat on Jen's shoulder

"Aaaaaahhhh!" Danny screamed, scrabbling backwards.

He backed himself up against the wall. April, Koto and Chiu were all sitting on Jen's shoulder.

"What are you screaming about?" Jen asked.

"Them!" Danny cried, pointing at the girls.

"Ohh...hello there! I know I've got a bad hangover when I start thinking there are tiny girls sitting on my shoulder. I think I need another drink." Jen walked out of the room. The three girls slipped down her hair and fell onto the bed.

"What are you three?" Danny said, poking at Chiu.

"We're sprites. I know it's a little strange, but we're quite real." April said, "Now, do you mind if we return to your size?"

Danny nodded and the three tiny girls grew into three full sized girls sitting on his bed.

"You are real..." Danny said, prodding Chiu's leg.

"Please don't poke me." Chiu said.

"Sorry." Danny said, sitting back on the floor.

"It's understandable." Chiu sighed, clicking away on the laptop on her lap.

"Chiu, put it away please." April asked kindly.

"Fine." Chiu said, snapping it closed. She set it on the bed behind her.

"So, you're our new master. I need to explain a few rules on being in such a position." April said.

"Master?" Danny said in disbelief.

"Yes, you now own us. You bought us from our previous master. That means that you now get to do with us what you will." Chiu said.

"To a certain extent." April said, "There are three rules. Rule one, you cannot ask us to kill or permanently harm anyone for you. Rule two, you must keep the knowledge that we are sprites a secret from everyone except your immediate family. Rule three, you are responsible for our wellbeing. If you break any of these rules, we will return to being a normal keychain until you pass us on."

"So...does this mean that you're...like my maids now or what?" Danny said, trying to figure it out.

"Well, if that's what you want us to do, sure. We could be your maids." April said, "I enjoy cleaning and cooking."

"What else are you here for then?" Danny said, "The old man just told me that you would help me sleep. Well, I did sleep pretty good last night..."

"Oh ho...now it's getting into my area of expertise." Koto smiled, grabbing the bottom of her shirt.

She pulled it off and her perky C cups fell free. She moved closer to Danny and put her hands on his waist.

"W...What're you doing?!" Danny yelled, jumping back.

"You said you needed help sleeping...I'm pretty good at making a man sleep." Koto smiled, moving closer to him.

"Wait...you mean...Oh no! That's not what I meant...Whoa Whoa! Put your clothes back on please!" Danny cried, dodging away from her.

"Koto, it's obvious that he's still a virgin. Put your clothes back on." Chiu said, tossing Koto her top.

"Okay fine...but I'm still gonna want something out of this." Koto sighed, putting her top on.

"Yes, and I'll help with that...Just don't go driving our master out the door." April sighed.

"I'm going to go have breakfast." Danny said hurriedly leaving the room.

"Oooh! I could go for some breakfast!" Koto chased after him.

"I'll cook it!" April said happily.

"Oh my sisters..." Chiu sighed, shaking her head.

April hummed happily as she worked around the kitchen making breakfast. She knew everything that her image portrayed. She was a motherly character that loved to cook and clean and was excellent at both. April had insisted that Danny sit down and stay out of the way as she worked. Koto was stretched out on the floor and Chiu sat across from Danny at the table. Jen was out cold in her bed.

"So...can I ask about your past?" Danny said, looking at Chiu, "Where exactly did you come from?"

"We were created by a wizard about five hundred years ago. Ever since then, we've swapped from master to master every couple of decades. We are immortals bound by incantations to that keychain hanging from your curtains." Chiu explained, "As you see, April is the home maker and quite the chef. I am a writer and human library. I've spent the last five hundred years reading and writing and learning everything I can. As for Koto...well...she's just Koto. Born a fox-girl, she has a natural fiery spirit and quite the affinity for... intimacy."

"Oh come on Chiu, just say it. I loooove a good hard fuck!" Koto said, stretching out on the ground, looking at them upside down.

"Eloquent as always dear sister." Chiu sighed, "Anyway, You've heard the rules, other than that...you can really ask us to do anything."

"Anything?" Danny said, raising an eyebrow.

"Exactly...I remember one guy about two hundred years ago who had a sex drive like...a freaking train. He plowed us nightly for months." Chiu said, "I think it sucked honestly...Koto was the only one having a good time."

"Oh and that guy a hundred years ago who made us his librarians for sixty years was a good gig?" Koto said, "At least with that sex fiend, I was always having orgasms..."

"I liked the librarian...he let me cook for him all the time." April said.

"You two are so boring." Koto said, rolling over onto her stomach.

"You are all loud...god...my head hurts...I wish I had a drink." Jen moaned, rubbing her head.

"How am I going to explain you three to her when she's sober?" Danny asked, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Tell her the truth. We said that your immediate family was allowed to know about us. I think she's a woman who would enjoy having some help around the house. Someone to clean up the house and make the meals." April said, "I'd be happy to help your mom!"

She walked over to the kitchen table and set down sizzling eggs and vegetables in a large pan.

"You know...I'm not a total vegetable when I'm hung over..." Jen muttered, getting to her feet, "I can listen to what you're saying...and your right...I would like the truth..."

"Your son bought us from our last master and now we're his." April said, dishing up a plate for Jen, "He's our master and we do whatever he asks."

"He's a pubescent boy...I'm afraid of what he might ask..." Jen sighed, digging into the food.

"Hey, if he asks for that, it's okay with me!" Koto said happily.

"Don't go ruining my little boy." Jen said, smacking Koto.

"Who says it would ruin him?" Koto smiled, baring her fangs.

"I need a drink." Jen got up from the table and opened the fridge. She pulled out the half bottle of Sake and took a long pull from it, "Aaaahhh...That's the stuff."

"Um...Ms. Jen...should you be drinking that so early in the morning?" April asked, looking up at Jen.

"Miss Jen...Miss Jen...I used to be a missus!" She yelled, taking another drink, "I miss you so much John!"

She downed the last of the bottle and sank to her knees in front of the sink, crying loudly. Danny jumped to his feet.


A Keychain of Girls



"Mother!" He cried, running over to her.

He put his arms around her and helped her to her feet.

"Come on mom...let's sit you down over here." Danny said, helping his sobbing mother to a seat at the dining table.

"I miss him...so much...god...John why did you have to leave me...and only days after Caroline! I miss them so much...I feel so alone..." Jen sobbed hysterically, her tears splashing on the table.

"It's okay mom...I'm here..." Danny said, wrapping his arms comfortingly around Jen.

"Is there anything I can do?" April asked quietly.

"It's okay...she just needs some time." Danny said, trying to comfort Jen.

"What happened?" April asked softly.

"I'll tell you later." Danny said.

"I'm going to...to bed..." Jen stuttered through her sobs.

"Okay mother, let me help you." Danny said, helping his mom to her feet.

She curled up in bed with Danny's help and cried herself into a drunken stupor.

"Danny...What happened?" April said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Let's go in my room." Danny said.

He lead the three girls into the bedroom and closed the door. He sat down on the bed next to Chiu and April. Koto sat on the ground with her legs crossed.

"About three months ago...my sister was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer..." Danny said, his voice shaky, "She died almost three weeks ago..."

"That's horrible..." Chiu said with a hand over her mouth.

"Well..." Danny swallowed painfully, "A few days later...my mother and father were managing to keep it together...however...My dad...he was hit by a car...He died in the street..."

"Oh god." April gasped.

"My mother...couldn't...couldn't handle it...it was too much for her...she turned to alcohol...drinking day and night...She barely left her bed..." Danny said, tears welling in his eyes, "It's been hard...if it weren't for my grandparents leaving us...us some money...we would've been evicted..."

His tears spilled over and he started to cry loudly. He put his face in his hands and tears dripped through his fingers. April put an arm around him and pulled him close. He put his arms desperately around her waist and cried against her breast. April wrapped her arms around him lovingly and started to brush his hair. He let himself cry in Aprils arms for quite a while. When he finally started to calm down, April laid his head in her lap and she started to sing a quiet song to him. It was a soothing song that helped him quiet down and started to weigh on his eyelids.

Before too much longer, he was quietly sleeping in Aprils lap.

"He's had such a hard life..." Koto said sympathetically.

"Maybe we're finally needed for once..." Chiu said, "I bet we could really help this young man."

"He is definitely in need of something...to be so young and have so much responsibility." April said, brushing her hands through his hair.

"He's kind of cute too." Koto smiled.

"Koto...I'm going to warn you once..." April said with her cold serious voice, "Do not do anything to upset him or I will beat the crap out of you."

"I won't..." Koto looked at her feet and her tail hung limply.

"Harsh sister." Chiu said, looking over at her.

"I don't want you hurting him anymore than he already is. Trying to sleep with him will just confuse him more." April said, "He needs a mother who will care for him and that drunk out there obviously isn't."

"Now your the heartless one...didn't you hear him. She lost her husband and her daughter. I bet alcohol was the only thing keeping her from killing herself!" Chiu said, smacking April, "I know you've taken a shine to him, but don't condemn his mother just yet."

"Maybe you're right. I'm sorry..." April said, bowing her head to look at Danny, "He just seems so...frail..."

Chapter 3 - Shopping

Danny blinked and opened his eyes. His head was lying on something soft and he was looking up at the ceiling. Someone was humming a quiet song. April leaned forward and looked down at him.

"Are you feeling better?" April asked, a sweet look on her face.

"Quite...I'm sorry I broke down like that." Danny said, sitting up suddenly.

April had been sitting against the wall behind the bed with Danny's head in her lap.

"It's understandable. I never knew you had such a hard life." April said, slipping off the bed.

"Well...it's only been hard in the past few weeks." Danny said, scratching his head.

"You know what I just realized?" April said, scratching her head.

"Hmm?" Danny looked up.

"You've got to be a student, don't you have to go to school?" April asked, looking around for a backpack.

"I should...but I don't know if I can with mother the way she is. I mean, I have to be here to take care of her." Danny said.

"I could do that so you can go to school." April said, "I'd be happy to stay home and take care of her."

"I can't ask you to do that...I mean...I know I could...but I can't..." Danny said, opening the bedroom door, "What is that?"

There was a loud moaning coming from the bathroom.

"Oh that's Koto..." April sighed.

"What's she doing in there?" Danny asked.

"Well...Koto's a nymphomaniac...so if she doesn't get an orgasm every once in a while she starts to shake really bad." April said bluntly.

"So wait, Koto's in my bathroom..." Danny cut himself off, blushing deeply.

"I'll make some lunch." April said, pulling Danny into the living room.

A little while later, April was setting some sandwiches and potato chips on the table. The bathroom door opened and Koto came out. Her clothes were askew and her hair was messy, however there was a wide smile on her face.

"Better?" April said, raising an eyebrow.

"Much...oooh you made lunch!" Koto said, running over to the table.

"You're unbelievable Koto." Chiu said, shaking her head on the other side of the table.

"What?" Koto said with her mouth full.

"She mean's your a pervert!" Jen said, finishing the beer in her hand.

"Oh like it's a bad thing!" Koto sighed.

"You girls." Danny sighed, shaking his head.

They chatted and enjoyed their lunch happily.

"So I need to go shopping, would one of you like to come with?" Danny asked, looking at the others.

"Shopping?" Koto looked up, "Definitely."

"I wanna go too!" April said.

"I could go for some shopping." Chiu smiled.

"I forgot, you're girls. Of course you want to go shopping." Danny chuckled, standing up.

The four of them were walking through the mall, laughing and enjoying themselves. Danny was really getting to know the three sprites fairly well. They were really entertaining to be with.

"Oooh! Danny, can we go try on some clothes?!" Koto squealed, pointing at a girl's clothing store.

"Oooh yea, I wanna try on a new dress!" April squeaked, clasping her hands together.

"Okay okay, I suppose I could spare some money to buy you girls some clothes." Danny nodded.

"Yippie!" Koto squealed, grabbing Aprils hand, she ran into the store.

"They really love shopping don't they." Danny said, looking over at Chiu.

"Hey, they're not the only ones. Come on!" Chiu said, grabbing Danny's hand.

"Whoa!" Danny cried as Chiu pulled him into the store.

"Hey Danny, look at this, isn't this so cute!" April squealed, holding up a full length goldenrod dress.

"What about this?" Koto squeaked, holding up a shirt.

"Hey Danny, come here!" Koto said, pulling Danny over to her.

"Whaaa?!" Danny cried as Koto drug him off to the dressing rooms.

"I want you to see a few outfits I picked out." Koto said, pulling Danny into one of the changing rooms.

"O...okay..." Danny said, watching Koto latch the door.

"Just stand there." Koto said, picking out a top and a skirt from the pile of clothing on the bench.

"Wait, you aren't going to change in front of me are you?!" Danny said, holding up his hands.

"I thought I would, it would be easier than going in and out of the stall a dozen times." Koto said, dropping her shorts. She was wearing frilly white cotton panties.

"You shouldn't, really!" Danny said, putting his hands over his eyes.

"Hey...Danny...It's okay." Koto said, pulling his hands away from his eyes.

"No it's not, I shouldn't look at you. It's your privacy." Danny said, shaking his head.

"It's only my privacy if I keep it from you." Koto said, wrapping her arms around Danny.

"K...Koto..." Danny stuttered, blushing at her closeness.

"You know...you're pretty cute Danny..." Koto said, moving her face closer to him.

"Koto!" Danny said, trying to push her back.

"Oh come on Danny...Stop being such a stick in the mud...don't you think I'm sexy?" Koto said, clasping her hands behind her back. She held out her chest and smiled cutely.

"Well...um...I mean...You...You are...but I..." Danny stuttered.

"Koto!" April yelled, banging on the door, "I told you to leave him alone!"

"A...April?!" Danny stuttered, looking at the door.

"Damn." Koto cursed, "Fine, go ahead."

Danny opened the door and ran through it, closing it behind her.

"Sorry Danny." April said, glowering at the door, "Koto just can't take no."

"It's okay...I mean..." Danny scratched his nose, "She is kind of cute."

April was in shock for a second. She been in the mindset almost since she met Danny that he was just an innocent boy. But now she realized that she may have been wrong from the start. Maybe he wasn't as innocent as she thought, just overly polite to them. Then again, a young boy is naturally interested in girls, no matter how polite.

"Really? You think I'm cute too?" Koto poked her head over the top of the changing room door.

"Well of course, all three of you are." Danny smiled.

"Even me?" Chiu stepped out of a nearby changing room.

She was wearing a full length white skirt and a frilly pastel yellow top. Her black hair was pinned up behind her head and she had taken off her glasses.

"Oh my..." Danny said, his eyes wide, "Um...Y...yes."

Chiu smiled and walked over to Danny.

"Thanks." Chiu smiled and she kissed Danny on the cheek.

"Wha?!" Danny started.

Chiu giggled and walked back to her changing room.

"Uhhh..." Danny's mouth hung open.

"He he he...I think you stunned him." April giggled.

"C...Chiu!" Danny shook his head, "You...kissed me."

"I think I agree with Koto...You are kinda cute...especially when you blush." April smiled, leaning forward. She kissed Danny on his other cheek.

"You...You too April?" Danny stuttered, blushing.

"Sorry...should I not have?" April said, putting a finger to her lips.

"N...No, it was okay...I just...I was surprised...That was all." Danny said.

April smiled and giggled.

Twenty five thousand yen later, the four of them were on the way home. Each of the girls had new clothing and Danny had picked up the groceries they needed for the house. They had just come from a nice dinner at a small corner restaurant.

"This was so much fun!" Koto squealed.

"I can't believe we went around all day and nobody asked about your tail." Danny said, looking over at Koto.

"Well we are in Japan. People walk around in weird costumes all the time." Koto said, "Maybe I'm just an Otaku."

"You are not my sister, you're just a high strung nymphomaniac." Chiu said, "I'm the closest thing to an Otaku in this household."

"Do you even read manga?" Danny asked, looking back at her.

"Yes, I just happen to have left my entire collection with my last master." Chiu said, "It's a good thing I have scans of them on my computer."

They walked up the stairs to the fifth floor where Danny and Jen's apartment was. It was a fairly nice ten story high rise and Danny quite enjoyed living there. However, it would be interesting to see what will happen with the Sprites living in his home now.

"Mom, I'm home." Danny said, walking through the door.

"Good, did you bring me any more beer, I just finished my last can." Jen said, walking out of the bathroom.

"I don't think it's very good for you to be drinking all this alcohol." Danny said.

"I don't think you should be...*Hiccup*...thinking about what's best for me. I think you should just be...*Hiccup*...buying me more beer." Jen hiccuped loudly, holding a finger in Danny's face.

"Mom, your an alcoholic, you have to stop this." Danny said.

"No...*Hiccup*...Your an alcoholic!" Jen yelled, swaying where she stood.

The girls walked around him and went off to do their things.

"Mom! I know it's hard without dad, but you can't drink him back here!" Danny said loudly.

"Who...Who're you to tell me what I can't do!" Jen yelled, grabbing Danny's shoulders.

"I'm your son!" Danny yelled.

"I need a drink." Jen said, her eyes sullen.

"Mom...It hasn't been easy for me either...Losing dad and sis..." Danny said, "I had to push on for your sake...But...I can't do it any more mom! Please...stop this!"

Tears welled in his eyes and he put his arms around his mom.

"Danny..." Jen muttered, looking down at him, "I'm...I'm sorry..."

"It's...not your fault mother..." Danny sniffed, "Did you get dinner?"

"I'll figure out something." Jen said, letting Danny go.

"Okay...well...I'm going to get some sleep. It's been a tiring day for me." Danny sighed, turning to his bedroom.

"Sweet dreams honey." Jen said, watching Danny walk into his room.

Danny sat down on the side of his bed and wiped at his eyes.

"Are you okay Danny?" April stood in the doorway.

"I'll be fine...I'm just getting worn out..." Danny said, rubbing his forehead.

"Okay...well...sleep well." April said, flicking the light off.

"Wait." Danny said suddenly.

"What is it?" April stepped back in the door.

"Would you...stay with me tonight?" Danny said, "I don't want to be alone...I miss my sister..."

"Yes, I will, just let me borrow some pajamas from your mom." April smiled.

"Heya Danny, where can we sleep?" Koto stuck her head in the door.

"Um...well...There is an extra mattress in mom's closet. If you and Chiu wouldn't mind sharing. It's big enough for you two." Danny said.

"That would be fine. We've slept together before." Koto smiled, "Thanks Danny."

"Your welcome Koto." Danny smiled.

When she was out of the room, he looked down at his hands and rubbed them together tiredly. Walking over to the closet, he stripped and put on a pair of shorts. It was right then when April walked back in the room. She had untied her hair and had taken off her dress and apron. She was now just wearing a knee length blueish nightgown.

"Are you doing okay?" April said, closing the door behind her.

"I just need a night sleep." Danny yawned widely.

He pulled the blankets back and slipped in. April flicked off the light and crawled into the bed next to him.

"Hey April?" Danny said, rolling over to look at her.

"Yes Danny?" April asked.

"Thanks for staying with me." Danny said quietly.

"Happy to do it." April said, wrapping an arm around him.

Danny gave another yawn and fell asleep soundly in April's arms.

Chapter 4 - School

Danny yawned and nuzzled up to the soft warm pillow beneath his head. He was half asleep and more relaxed than he had been in weeks. His arms were wrapped around something very warm and he was pressed up close to it. Suddenly his eyes snapped open and he realized what it was. He had been nuzzled up to April's breasts and he was cuddled around her body.

"Ohh I am sorry...I didn't mean to!" Danny cried, jumping back, "I was sleeping...and...and you were soft and warm..."

"Hey, it's okay. You were only sleeping." April muttered, rubbing her eyes, "Would you mind laying back down where you were?"

"What?" Danny said, his eyes wide.

"You were warm and a great cuddlebug too." April said, holding her arms out.

"O...okay..." Danny said, blushing as he cuddled up next to April.

He laid back down and cuddled up close to her, however he just laid his head on her shoulder, not her breast. April wrapped her arms around him and sighed sleepily. Danny did have to admit...it was nice being so close to April. She smelled of sweet flowers. Danny sighed happily and nuzzled April's shoulder.

"Don't they look cute together." Chiu said, looking down at April and Danny cuddled together in bed.

"I think I'm a little jealous." Koto said, crossing her arms.

"What, you got to sleep with me didn't you? Am I not that cuddly?" Chiu looked sideways at Koto.

"Oh you know what I mean." Koto said, turning to leave. She smacked Chiu with her fluffy tail.

"Would you two get out." April mumbled sleepily.

"What is it April?" Danny mumbled.

"Nothing...just two dummies." April said, adjusting her arms around Danny.

"Hmmm..." Danny sighed, nuzzling up to her.

"Sometimes I despise my sisters." April sighed, opening her eyes.

"Oh they aren't that bad." Danny smiled, sitting up on his knees.

He was facing April who was still lying back on the pillows. Her hair was messy and she stretched her arms behind her head. The nightgown had worked its way up to her waist, exposing her lacy pink panties. However, she was still covered from the stomach down by the blankets.

"Oh I know, they just always stick their nose into my stuff all the time. You kinda get used to it." April smiled, pulling some of her long crimson hair out of her face.

"Everybody does that, it's called high school." Danny smiled, scooting back. The blankets fell off her and exposed April's lower half.

"Eeep! Cold!" April squeaked, hugging her knees up to her chest.

Danny blinked, staring at her lacy pink panties.

"Oh, I'm sorry." April said, pulling her nightgown down over her waist.

"Well...It's okay...They're cute." Danny said, blushing.

"Danny...You're changing." April said, "It's nice."

"Well..." Danny prodded his fingers together, "I'm a little nervous around strangers...but...I kind of feel comfortable around you three...Sorry if I'm too open."

"No, no, no! It's okay. I always just expected a young man like yourself to be more interested in...well...the physical aspect of girls, not the way you've been." April said, slipping out of bed.

"I've just...well...tried to be polite...but...now...I'm...well...um...I..." Danny blushed and looked down at his knees.

"Ohh Danny, you goof." April giggled, straightening her nightgown, "I'm going to get a shower and go start breakfast.

"Hey honey, I want to apologize for the way I've been." Jen said, "I can't imagine that my drinking made it any easier on you. I would bet that it made it even harder. Sorry..."

"Mom, it's okay. I understand how hard it was on you." Danny said, touching his mothers hand, "I was just worried you were going to kill yourself with drinking that much."

"Well you don't have to worry now. I'm done drinking, I swear." Jen grasped his hand, "And I'm going to try and get a job. I can't laze about the house forever."

"Breakfast!" April called, setting down a mountain of pancakes on the table.

"What's this?" Danny asked, sitting down at the table.

"It's an American breakfast called pancakes. You eat them with fruit and such over top." April said, putting down a few bowls of cut fruit on the table, "They also eat it with sweet maple syrup, however I couldn't find any."

"This seems a bit strange for a breakfast food." Danny said, prodding at the soft pancake on his plate.

"Trust me, you'll love it." April said.

"I know I do!" Koto said, dishing up a plate with a large stack of them.

"Cooking American food now sister? Your going to get us all fat like them too." Chiu said, putting just fruit on her plate.

"Oh don't be such a sourpuss. They're mostly just a bread mix with some vanilla flavoring. Very tasty and not all that bad for you." April said, dishing herself up.

"Mmmm, they are good!" Jen said through a large mouthful.

"Might as well try it." Danny shrugged, picking up his fork, "Still prefer chopsticks."




A Keychain of Girls



They laughed and had a jovial time as the pile of pancakes slowly got shorter. Jen was in high spirits this morning, especially for the hangover that was beating on her head. Chiu and Koto looked at each other at one point and got up together, walking into the other bedroom.

"Oh! It's eight! Danny, you're going to be late!" April said, jumping up.

"Late for what?" Danny said, looking up.

"School!" April called happily, picking up a box lunch off the counter, "Come on, up you get!"

"But I can't!" Danny stuttered, stumbling to his feet.

"Danny, I'll be fine. Go to school. You can't afford to miss anymore." Jen said, looking up at him.

"Fine, I'll go change!" Danny said, running to his bedroom.

He changed quickly into his school uniform. It was simple, long crimson slacks and a crimson polo with a bright red tie. He slipped on some socks and ran back to the living room.

"Here's your lunch and your school bag. Also, Chiu and Koto want to come with. They bought school uniforms and want something to do, if that's okay?" April said, "Koto has fun at school and Chiu loves the library."

"Really? That's fine, I would love a little company. I...well...I never really had any friends at school..." Danny said, prodding his fingers together.

"Oh you're so cute!" Koto said, jumping on his back with her arms around his neck.

"Koto!" Danny laughed, shaking her off.

"You know, you're school has really cool uniforms." Koto said, standing back.

She was wearing a High School uniform, a knee length pleaded crimson skirt and a white top with a matching crimson vest over top. She had a bright red necktie and knee high socks. Her tail stuck out between her skirt and her top. She smiled cutely. Chiu stepped out of the bedroom and walked over next to Koto. She was wearing the same outfit and had a computer bag in her hands.

"I like it too." Chiu smiled, "I can't wait to see your schools library."

"Come on, come on. Here are your lunches. Go or your going to be late!" April said, handing them both box lunches.

"Let's go girls." Danny said, slipping into his shoes.

The three of them went out the door together and started down the stairs.

"I love your school!" Koto said, sitting down next to Danny in the cafeteria.

"At least one of us does, I have a mountain of back homework to dig through." Danny said, opening his lunch, "Whoa! This looks delicious!"

The lunch had two pork buns, a rice ball and a small bowl of fried vegetables.

"That's April for you. She can make even boxed food delicious beyond reasoning." Koto said, opening her own lunch.

"So Koto...why do you...you know...like...doing it so much?" Danny said, blushing slightly.

"Hmm?!" Koto's eyes widened. She hadn't expected such a question from Danny.

"I'm sorry if it's so personal...I just thought...you wouldn't mind...sharing." Danny said, blushing further.

"Danny...are you feeling okay?" Koto said, putting a hand on Danny's forehead.

"I'm fine...I just...thought...you know...we've gotten to know each other..." Danny scratched the back of his head, "...I've just always wondered about...how you could be so open about it...and love it so much?"

"I suppose it's just me. I mean, I don't see any reason to be overly modest about sex. Everybody has sex, so why hide it? I mean, I won't go having sex blatantly in front of you, but I'm not going to hide what I am. As for why I love it...well...you would have to feel it for yourself. It's better than anything you've ever felt in your life." Koto said, setting her chin in her hand, "Just the feel of it...man or woman...feeling their hands on you...rolling around...getting all hot and steamy."

"R...Really...?" Danny said, blushing.

"I'm sorry...did I explain a little to much?" Koto said, smiling slightly.

"Uh...No, it's fine...your explanation was...just a little colorful." Danny said, poking his fingers together, "I've just...you know...never done it...so..."

"You will sometime. You just have to find the right girl whom you love enough." Koto said, smiling before she took a bite of a pork bun.

"Nice cosplay Koto! It looks really cute on you!" A girl said as she walked by their table.

"Thanks Ayase!" Koto said, waving to her.

Danny sat down in the library, across the table from Chiu. It was the first time he had been alone with Chiu since they had met.

"Hi Danny. You know, this library is amazing! You have so many books here!" Chiu said, brushing some dark hair out of her face. She smiled from behind her large round glasses.

"Chiu...Can I ask you about you and your sisters?" Danny asked, crossing his arms on the table.

"Shoot, I don't mind." Chiu said, closing her book.

"Why were you created? For what purpose? Also, why are you three so different from each other? I mean, if you were just created to serve, one would think you would be more alike." Danny asked.

"Well, our master was an elderly wizard. A man who could see the end of his life on the horizon. So, as a last act of kindness to his yet unborn granddaughter, he created us. His one and only descendant was pregnant with a young woman and she was terminally ill. He knew that she was likely to die during childbirth. So, instead of leaving the babe to an uncertain future, he gave his life to create the three of us. April, the caring mother to feed and nurture the young one. Koto, a fiery spirited one to play and have fun with, all the while protecting the child. Then there was me, the mentally gifted scholar, to teach and pass on knowledge when the time called for it. Teach the child the lessons of life." Chiu explained, "However, we had different names back then and we weren't bound by the keychain, nor were we immortal."

"So...then...how did you come to be how you are now?" Danny said, amazed by her history.

"Well...the babe was born and the mother died. We took up our positions with fervor, eager to fill our passed master's desires. Many years, we stood by the woman's side, her caretaker, guardian and teacher. As we aged, the woman grew guilty of her position. She thought it unfair that we had to be created to simply serve her, never have a life of our own. So, determined to give us our own life, she used her inherited magical abilities to make us young and immortal. But through this, she bound us to the keychain. Now, she knew the only way to make us immortal was to make us dependent on masters. This never solved her problem to give us our own life though. All she could do was hope that through time, somebody would free us and let us live a free life." Chiu said, taking off her glasses. Her eyes were getting teary.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know it was so emotional for you. We can stop...if you like." Danny said, feeling slightly guilty.

"No, no, it's alright. Just...thinking about the past so much has brought up many memories...some happy...some sad...I suppose I'm just wondering if she was right in what she did...will we ever be free?" Chiu said, wiping her eyes, "I suppose I sound kind of stupid."

"Not at all...I was wondering...does this mean that you three know magic? I know you can change your size, but do you know other magic?" Danny said, realizing what this all could mean.

"Yes actually, all three of us know magic. I know the widest variety, while Koto knows many battle-type spells and April is skilled with healing and other homemaking magic." Chiu said in a hushed tone, "When we get home I can show you some."

"Oh that would be so cool! I can't wait!" Danny said eagerly, sounding like a child.

"You know Danny...of all the Masters we've had...I think you come pretty close to the best one." Chiu said, "Maybe it's just because your a teenager...or maybe it's because your so kind and polite. I think I'm going to enjoy my time with you."

"Really? I'm glad for you." Danny smiled, "Sorry if I'm interrupting your studying."

"No, it was quite alright...I enjoyed telling you about myself." Chiu smiled, putting her glasses back on.

The three of them were walking home together.

"So you know all about our past now huh?" Koto said, putting an arm around Danny's shoulder.

"Yea...that is kind of sad about why you were created though..." Danny said, looking at his shoes.

"Well...Yea I suppose, but we're here now. Which mean's we're your problem!" Koto said, squeezing Danny playfully.

"Hey now, aren't you suppose to be the one that keeps me from getting hurt?" Danny said, looking over at her.

"Chiu tell you about our magic did she? Well yep! I'm the one that keeps your butt from getting beaten up! With me around, nothing will ever touch you!" Koto said.

"Your so humble Koto." Chiu teased with a smile.

"Oh shut up you know-it-all!" Koto said, smacking her, "Hey Danny, you know what the problem is?"

"Hmm?" Danny looked up at her.

"She probably does know it all." Koto chuckled.

Chiu was quietly smiling widely.

"Oh Koto you're horrible. Let's stop in here and get a soda!" Danny said, walking into the convenience store that was across the street from the apartment.

"Okay!" Koto said, following close behind.

Chapter 5 - A Touch of Magic

Danny squealed like a child and clapped his hands. Koto was standing in front of him juggling green, blue and purple fireballs. Jen was out looking for work, so the girls thought they would show him some magic. They hadn't been lying about it, all three of them could do magic.

"Put those away before you burn the house down." April warned Koto.

"Oh like I'd let that happen." Koto said, catching the fireballs.

She missed the purple one and it struck the floor, making a scorch mark.

"Whoops!" Koto said, putting out the three fireballs with a snap.

"Good job sister. Now, there is more magic than just creating fireballs. There's healing magic. Telekinetic magic. Even love magic." Chiu said, standing up from her seat.

"Love magic?" Danny raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, magic that modifies the chemicals in ones brain in order to develop infatuation." Chiu explained, holding out her hand. A small glowing pink heart appeared there, floating up and down slowly.

"Isn't that dangerous? You know, messing with somebody's head?" Danny said, looking at the small glowing heart.

"Not really. As long as you know what you're doing...it's not like the spell is going to go..." Chiu was cut off.

"BOOM!" Koto yelled, jumping on Chiu.

"Waaah!" Chiu cried, falling forward.

Danny caught her and Chiu lost control of the spell.

"Chiu! Are you okay?" Danny asked, helping her to her feet.

"I'm fine...oh dear...do you feel any different?" Chiu asked, noticing the pink glow on Danny's arm. He had been struck with the spell.

"Not really, why?" Danny said, standing back.

"I lost control of the infatuation spell when you caught me and it was cast on you." Chiu said.

"You cast an infatuation spell on him?" April said, smacking Chiu, "How could you be so careless?"

"It was Koto, she jumped on me!" Chiu said, pointing at her.

"Either way, Danny, any feelings you may feel for Chiu or Koto are just false from the magic. It should wear off after a few days." April said, examining Danny closely. She felt his forehead and checked his eye.

"I'm fine, it didn't do anything." Danny said, trying to talk as she checked his tongue.

"But...I've never cast a dud spell." Chiu said, putting a finger to her mouth.

Suddenly all three girls looked up at each other at once, all of them coming to the same realization.

"You already love us!" Koto cried, pointing at him.

"What?! No, it's not what you think!" Danny cried, blushing and holding up his hands.

"Danny...Magic doesn't lie." Chiu said, blushing a bit herself.

"I swear, it's not what you think...I...I need to go somewhere!" Danny yelled, running for the door.

"I can't believe he loves us..." April said, crossing her arms as the door slammed.

"Why? He's a teenage boy and we're cute girls. It only makes sense." Koto smiled, putting an arm around Chiu's waist.

"Koto..." Chiu sighed, shaking her head.

"He'll come back when he's ready." April said, turning back to the dishes.

Danny stood on the roof of the apartment, leaning on the railing. He was looking out over the city. He was still feeling rather embarrassed. Not because Chiu's spell worked, but because Koto had been right. Danny had never been in love before, but now instead of falling in love with one girl, he had fallen in love with all three at once. April...she had been so sweet and caring with him. How could he not love her. Koto...so fiery and beautiful, he had already seen most of her body. He blushed just thinking about how beautiful her body was. Chiu...witty and smart. A cute, shy demeanor and a beautiful head on her shoulders. He loved her personality.

He was truly in love with all three of the girls.

"What do I do!" Danny cried, putting his head in his hands.

He couldn't bear to think what would happen if he admitted his love. How could he admit himself to one of those girls, only to hurt the others. If he admitted himself to all three, then he could never be with any of them. It was so confusing!

"How do all those guys at school do it?" Danny sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"They don't think about it." Chiu said, "They don't have your caring personality."

"What?!" Danny flipped around at her voice.

"They don't care like you do. Most of those boys are just out for sexual pleasure. You on the other hand actually listen to your conscience." Chiu walked over to stand next to him, "You know Danny, you're in a special position."

"What's that?" Danny said, turning back around to lean on the railing again.

"We three are yours. You don't have to pick." Chiu said, looking sideways at him.

"What're you talking about?" Danny said, turning to face her.

"I know you love all three of us. The accident with that spell proved it. You can't make someone fall in love with something he already loves." Chiu said.

"How could I possibly choose one of you and leave the others?" Danny said, putting his hands in his pockets.

"That's what I meant...you don't have to pick. Love all of us." Chiu said, moving closer to Danny.

"What? Isn't that polygamy?" Danny said, looking at her in shock.

"Is it such a horrid thing?" Chiu put her arms around Danny's waist.

"But it's not fair to any of you. A man should be whole heartedly into one woman and one woman alone." Danny said, pushing her away slightly, "I can't do this to you or your sisters...I love you too much."

"But what about our feelings Danny?" Chiu said, "What if we want it this way?"

"Wha...?" Danny muttered, confused.

"We all want you Danny." Chiu wrapped her arms around his waist again, "All three of us want to be with you...together..."

"But...the...you three...I..." Danny stuttered.

Chiu cut him off with a kiss on the lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately. Danny protested at first, trying to separate them, but then he started to enjoy it. Wrapping his arms around her, he turned his head and kissed back.

"Somehow I knew you would be the one to convince him." Koto said, leaning back against the door.

"What?!" Danny cried, suddenly turning to her.

"It's okay Danny, Chiu told you the truth. All three of us want to be with you. It's kind of how we are. Unlike most people, we don't mind sharing a man. Actually, I kind of prefer it." Koto said, walking over to them, "So, are you okay now?"

"I...I...Uhh..." Danny stuttered.

"You're still over thinking this." Koto chuckled.

She leaned forward and kissed Danny on the lips.

"Get it now?" Chiu said, putting an arm around Koto.

"I...I swear this has to be a dream." Danny said, looking between them, "Three cute girls and a whole lot of magic. There's no way it could be real."

"Seems like it huh?" Koto said, running a teasing finger up Danny's chin.

"But trust me, we're very real." Chiu said, putting an arm around Koto's shoulders.

The door opened again and April walked through. The three of them turned and looked at her. She smiled and walked over to them.

"I know how my sisters sound...but, are you okay with it Danny?" April asked, crossing her arms under her breasts.

"Well...It'll take some adjustment for me...but I could get used to it." Danny smiled, putting an arm around both Chiu and Koto's waists.

"Ha ha...come on Danny, I'm getting dinner ready." April laughed, waving them over.

"I can't believe this though...all three of you want me." Danny said, setting his dishes in the sink.

"Why is it so hard to believe?" Koto said, jumping on his shoulders. She wrapped her legs around his waist and hung on.

"Because...why would three cute girls want me enough that they agree to share?" Danny said, reaching behind him.

He grabbed Koto's sides and started to tickle her. Koto started to laugh hysterically and fell off him. Danny flipped around and jumped on her, tickling her furiously. Tears came to Koto's eyes as she laughed harder, thrashing around beneath him.

"Because you fit all three of us." Chiu looked up from her computer.

"What?" Danny sat up on Koto's thighs.

"Don't you see?" April said, looking back at him from the sink, "Your caring and sweet. I love you for that."

"I enjoy talking with you...your witty and funny to be around." Chiu said, "I love the way you think."

"And look at what you're doing with me?" Koto said, "You've got the spirit to keep up with me and I love it!"

"Whoa...." Danny said, looking around, "Really? I'm that good for you all?"

"Yes!" The three of them said together.

"I can't believe this...and the three of you can do magic to boot!" Danny said, standing up.

A burning, hot breath was flowing through his body, touching him from his finger tips to his toes. His entire body itched with a power not his own. She let go of him and smiled. His glowing skin was now covered with golden runes and symbols.

"Danny..." April said, putting hands on his waist.

He turned to April and she stood in front of him. She almost seemed sorry at what she was doing. April moved forward and kissed him. She was different from the other two. Her kiss was so soothing yet so passionate. It was so different from Koto and Chiu. A soothing and calm feeling came over his soul. His heart was so comforted right now, calming his entire body. April stood back, clasping her hands by his sides.

At first nothing was any different. Then something started to grow up from his very soul. It filled him to the top of his head and exploded outward. His body stiffened and the bright glow around him increased to blinding intensity. He held out his hands and held his head towards the sky. The light went beyond any brightness he could've imagined and all at once it stopped. The light died and the wind stopped. Around him, the magical circle was gone. However, each of the girls had changed.

April was now wearing long white robes accented with gold and she held a white leather bound book in her arms. Her beautiful hair was now a brighter crimson that reached down to her knees behind her. Her skin was fairer and her eyes were now a beautiful chocolate.

Chiu was now in gorgeous green robes with silver runes sewn around the cuffs and hood. Her black hair was now highlighted with silver and it reached her lower back. Her eyes were a piercing green and her glasses had changed to a set of square, gold rimmed glasses that showed off much more of her beautiful face. She held a large black bound book under one arm.

Koto was changed the most. She only wore tight black shorts and a small yellow top. Her hair was now a beautiful snowy white and it fell down past her shoulders. Her tail was also a gorgeous white to match. However what caught his attention the most was her eyes. They were so different than before. A bright, golden-amber, they now matched the cool, ruthless eyes of a fox. Her pupils were elongated into coal black fox's pupils.

"How do you feel Danny?" April asked.

"Wonderful, my entire body is alight with energy. I feel like I could do anything!" Danny exclaimed, looking at his hands, which were back to normal.

"Well that's not far off it. You could do almost anything." Koto chuckled.

"Now before you go telling him that, let Chiu at least give him a lesson in magic." April sighed.

"Wait, what happened with you three? Why're you so different now?" Danny said, looking around at them.

"This is how we really are Danny. The amount of magic in our bodies manifests itself in the physical changes we experience. These robes and books are tools of our magical art." April said.

"Except for me, I just become a little cuter." Koto smiled, "And I get longer fangs."

She smiled, showing the sharp teeth in her mouth and the two long fangs behind her lips.

"Come on, it's not safe to be practicing our magic here." Chiu said, walking over to the door.

She pressed her hand to it and the door started to glow lightly. Koto and April walked over in front of it.

"Where're we going?" Danny said, following them.

"Just a little hidden field out in the middle of the mountains of Japan." Chiu said, turning the knob.

The door opened and instead of showing a staircase, it showed a beautiful green field, bristling with small white flowers and ankle-tall grass. Koto and April walked through. Danny was amazed as he walked through the doorway and was suddenly in a totally different climate and temperature. It was mildly warm here and the flowery fragrance was heavy in the air. Chiu stepped through behind them and closed the door, which disappeared the moment it closed completely.

"So Danny, would you like to see some real magic?" Koto said, a ball of orange fire engulfing her entire hand. She smiled deviously.

Chapter 8 - Danger's of a Magician

The spell's detonation almost deafened Danny and the shock wave shook him to his very bones. Koto had thrown her handful of fire into the sky, a seemingly harmless fireball. But when it reached a certain height, she clenched her fist and it erupted into a blinding and deafening explosion.

"Good god!" Danny yelled over the ringing in his ears.

"Sorry! I forgot my own strength!" Koto cried through her laughter.

"Koto! Don't be so dangerous!" April said, twisting a finger in her ear.

"I thought it was fun!" Koto laughed.

"Wooo man that was loud." Chiu sighed, running a hand through her black and silver hair.

"So Chiu, I've been meaning to ask. What makes your magic so special? I mean, why would people go through such a hassle just to take yours? Surely there must be wizards as strong as you three that they would attack as well." Danny said, looking around the field.

"If it were just the magical energy then we wouldn't make any sort of special difference. Honestly, we're strong, but we're far from the strongest wizards out there. Even the three of us together are no match for some of the strongest arch-magus in the magical realm." Chiu said.

"There's something special about our magic that you don't know." April said.

"We don't require incantations to use our spells. We cast simply through imagination. If we can think it up and put enough magic behind it, we can do it. That ability makes our magic very rare and very valuable. All a demon would have to do is siphon our magic with the keychain and he or she would then have the ability to cast without incantation." Chiu explained, "Even now, our magic is moving through you, modifying and transforming your spiritual energies. Your magic is unincanted magic like our own, simply because it was our energy that awoke your own."

"So...how do I use it then? Can I have a lesson in magic?" Danny asked, scratching his cheek nervously.

"I would be happy to!" Chiu said with a wide smile.

"Hey April, in the mean time how about a little sparring match?" Koto said, looking over at April.

"Koto, you know I've never been very good at fighting with magic." April sighed.

"I never get anyone to spar with..." Koto said, flopping down on the ground.

"Anyway!" Chiu said, "I want you to sit down and cross your legs. Hold your hands together in your lap like this."

She sat down and held her hands together in a small cup.

"Now, we're just going to try and focus your magical energy. Magic flows through you just like your life's blood. Feel it in your body, coursing through your heart...down to your fingertips." Chiu said, "Let it build up in your hands until it manifests."

A small green flame appeared in Chiu's hands and filled up the small cup they formed. It crackled and popped happily, fed by her magic. Danny nodded and tried to focus himself. He could feel something down inside himself that wasn't there before. Or maybe it was, he just never noticed it. It bubbled up inside him, eager to burst forth, as if it had been caged a long time and was finally free. Danny directed it to his hands and it followed his command. A warmth moved down his arms, getting hotter as it neared his hands.

Suddenly a blue fire blazed in his hands and burned upward. It erupted into a six foot tower of flame that burned skyward.

"Whoa!" Danny cried, jerking back from the fire. He pulled back his hands and the fire dissipated.

"Well that was...impressive." Chiu blinked, "How about we try something else. I want you to picture in your mind, a small ball of light. Just a little sphere floating above your hand. Let your magic concentrate in your palm and..."

There was a sudden bright flash of light in Danny's hand that blinded them all momentarily. Danny blinked and rubbed his eyes.

"Danny...do you have to overpower every little thing I ask you to do?" Chiu chuckled, blinking through the bright lights in her eyes.

"I don't know...I'm trying, I really am...I just can't really tell how much power to put into these things. At first nothing happens...so I put more power into it and it blows up!" Danny said, horribly disoriented from the light.

"Ohh...that would explain a lot." Chiu said.

"How about you give me a few minutes with him." Koto said, looking over at Danny, "Let me teach him a few things on enhancing himself with magic."

"Sounds good." Chiu said, "Maybe you can teach him better control."

"Don't go pushing him too hard." April warned.

"Come on Danny, walk over here with me." Koto said, putting some distance between her and her sisters.

"So what do I do?" Danny said, rubbing his hands together.

"Well, I'm going to teach you a technique that I doubt you will be able to overpower." Koto said, stretching her legs. Her white tail stretched upward behind her.

"Let's hope I can get better..." Danny said, prodding his fingers together nervously.

"Oh come on Danny, it was a joke. Anyway, I want you to focus your magic as Chiu was having you do. No, wait for me to show you the technique before you actually do it." Koto held up her hands, "Focus the magic into your feet and lower legs. Feel the energy filling your muscles, but be careful to focus on keeping the energy pent up inside. Then, I want you to jump forward, releasing the magic. Watch what happens."

She turned away from Danny and bent her knees. All at once, there was a whoosh of air and the grass fluttered. Koto disappeared from view completely and Danny lost her.

"Over here!" Koto called from almost a hundred feet away.

She leapt again and appeared right in front of Danny in a flash.

"This technique is called Shundo. You move with incredible speed in a single jump. Used in succession, you could use it to rapidly attack your enemy. Now, I want you to give it a try. Jump to a spot a distance down the field." Koto said, "But be careful to hold your balance or you could grind your face all the way down the field."

"Okay, let's see what happens." Danny said, looking at the spot where Koto had jumped.

His magic tingled through his body as he focused his eyes on a spot down the field. Magic built up in his feet and his muscles tensed. He moved and suddenly he was launching forward faster than he could've imagined. His feet touched the spot that he had been focusing on only a millisecond earlier. There was a loud crack from his supersonic movement. However, he didn't stop. His feet moved out from under him and he hit face first into the ground, somersaulting forward another ten feet. He came to a stop on his back in the soft grass.

Koto lunged forward and stopped just in front of his head. She looked down at him with a smile on her face.

"I told you, you had to keep your balance and land skillfully." Koto said, "But instead you did the opposite and landed flat on your back. Come on, up you get."

"Sorry...it was just so fast that I couldn't keep up with it. I didn't know I arrived until I was lying here. I tried...I really did." Danny said, taking Koto's hand to help her up, "It's so hard to keep up with something so fast."

"It looks like your body has adjusted to the magic but your mind hasn't." Koto said, "Come here, let me help you."

She put her hands on either side of Danny's face and pressed her forehead to his. A warm tingling was buzzing in his forehead. There was a warm soothing feeling in his head and suddenly something opened up. It was like a block in a stream was suddenly broke through and the small trickle turned into a flowing current. Danny's vision wavered and his ears popped. His head spun and he collapsed.

"Danny!" Koto cried, catching him.

"...at did you do Koto?" April's voice seemed far away.

"I just tried to help him adjust to the magic in his body...make his mind catch up with the abilities of the magic." Koto said frantically.

"You played around in his head? Koto! You could've killed him!" April cried.

"I'm...I'm fine..." Danny muttered, his eyes opening slightly.

"Oh Danny! I was so worried about you!" April cried, jumping down on him, her face only inches from his.

"I suspected as much. The sudden influx of magic into his senses simply knocked him out. You see, his body was safely trickling magic through his brain in order to prepare his body for the enhanced hearing, sight and quickness of mind that the magical energies offer. Koto just sped up the process a little too fast and careless." Chiu said, flipping through her leather bound book.

"Oh wow...you aren't kidding...I can hear the grass rustling around the field...and I can see the birds in the trees down there...everything is so much more open to me!" Danny said as he sat up.

"Be careful." April said, a hand on his chest. He got to his feet steadily, looking around the field.

"I'm fine, let me up. I'm feeling better than...well, than I think I ever have! Koto! See if you can follow me!" Danny cried, suddenly leaping away from them.

His newly enhanced senses made his balance so much more acute. His mind kept up with ease as he leapt forward at supersonic speeds. He threw himself upwards into the air and caught his feet gracefully on a tree branch. The magic that coursed through his body was so much more acute now. His enhanced mind controlled it with such a precision that he could feel how much magic was in every nerve and muscle in his feet. He, without even thinking, consistently modified the amount of magic all over his feet in order to give him perfect balance as he leapt through the high trees. His ears, over the loud wind, picked up the crunching of bark behind him as the barefoot Koto leapt after him.
