I am actually attempting to slow this story down, and not rush it. Most of my stories, I have been told, seemed rushed. So, just to warn you that this story is definitely a SLOW BURN There will be sex in the story, but it will happen when it is the right time. There is NO SEX in this chapter, but please don't let that deter you from reading and sharing your thoughts. This is a nonhuman story. All of the characters are above the age of consent. A special thanks to Harryhill for inspiring me to continue this tale and Overstar for attempting to edit this. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 02 She wanted to blame Sherrie, and a part of her could. But even though the Alpha's daughter played a cruel trick, which ended in their banishment, it did not change the fact that her son hated what he was. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 03 Werewolves and Indians Ch. 03 Marcus exhaled, and looked at the angry young male before him. He could see the fear starting to surface in him. But he had no reason to be so frightened. Marcus decided for now to lay off. "Look, it's late. You two will stay here with us tonight, and we can talk in the morning. Logan, Jacob, you can go home. I'll help our guest settle in for the night." He called two Omegas and asked them to gather the necessary supplies for their guest. He turned to Betty and smiled, hoping to put her at ease. "Ms. Betty, I will show you to your room first. Come this way." Seeing how protective Ja'Mal was of his mother, Marcus felt that it was important that he see where his mother would be staying. Jacob bid them good night, but Logan stood watching Betty transfixed. He didn't want to leave for some reason. Jacob nudged his friend breaking his trance and left. After the two males had gone, Marcus along with the Omegas he showed Betty to her room. Betty gasped, the room was magnificent. A plush queen sized bed sat I the center of the room. The colors were breathtaking, deep rich hues of purple and brown oak. Soon an Omega joined them and brought clothes for Betty for the night. Leaving Betty, Marcus took Ja'Mal to his room. The room was just as impressive, and Ja'Mal thanked him again for accommodating them. Marcus stopped. "Look, you and your mother are welcomed here. I want you to know that." Ja'Mal froze. His wolf liked this man, but he had been hurt so much that he was wary. He opened his mouth to speak when Marcus patted his shoulder and said, "Let's talk in the morning. Tonight, just rest." He then turned and went to his room. Marcus liked this kid. He would be a strong Alpha, and that was what Kingsley needed. First, he had to learn about the shaman. If he killed the man, then he'd bet it was in defense of his mother. Marcus' wolf growled. He abhorred violence of any kind, especially to women. He'd talk to them early, and then Keamon would stop by. Marcus smiled, he'd love the chance to catch up with his old friend. Jacob and Logan walked back to their apartment I silence. All Logan could think of was the astonishing woman that he'd just met. The female, Betty was absolutely amazing. His wolf wanted her. However, she preferred talking with Jacob and Marcus. She barely noticed him. Most women failed to notice him when he friends were around. Normally it didn't bother him, but for some reason with her it did. Who was he fooling, he knew why. Here he was over one hundred and forty years old, and a woman made him nervous. "Logan, what's wrong?" Jacob asked. Logan was often quiet, but tonight he talked. That was out of character for him. He saw what his friend may not be aware of Logan had met his mate. The woman was just as taken by his friend, but because of her son, she tampered down her reaction. "Nothing, Jacob. I... I am just wired. After I rest tonight, I'll be fine." He answered. Jacob decided to test the waters, "You think Betty would like to go out sometime?" he asked. Logan growled, "I don't know. You have to ask her." He then went to his private quarters and got in bed. She is mine. If he knows what's best, he'll stay away, his wolf declared. Jacob was shocked. My wolf, she might want someone like him. He's taller, better looking, and you saw how she looked at him. His wolf huffed. It doesn't matter. Looking never hurt anyone, as long as he knows she's ours. We will make sure our mate gets the message. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 03 As soon as he stood before her, Kerrie forgot to breath. That will be one dollar and seventy-four cents." She whispered. Ja'Mal smiled and handed her two dollars. "Thank you, Kerrie. I'll see you at the diner later." He whispered. Her name from his lips was the sweetest sound she ever heard. Stunned, she stood mesmerized, and watched him walk across the street. After Ja'Mal left, Isla came into the store. She was upset, and Kerrie could tell she needed to talk. "Isla, wait in the back. I'll be there in a few." Kerrie told her friend. She would take a quick break and see why she was so upset. A few minutes later. Kerrie entered the break room where a distraught Isla told her that her brother refused to allow her to keep her job at the diner. He feared Lionel. Kerrie shivered. "He wants you to stay away from me, Isla, maybe he has a point. Listen, No listen," she added when her friend was about to protest. "Lionel is acting strangely. He... he makes me nervous, and now he's even more intense. I would hate for something to happen to you because of me." She explained. Isla nodded. "Kerrie, you are my best friend. No one will make me abandon you, not even you." Isla whispered as she hugged her friend. "You have to get back to work. I'll see you at the diner later," she explained. Then she left. Kerrie felt bad, but she knew Oman had a point. Lionel was even more aggressive, and she didn't want anyone to get hurt. She had to talk to him. She would call and have him meet her at the diner an hour before it opened. They would talk. He had to get over this obsession with her. It was unreal. Kerrie made one quick call. And he agreed to meet with her. She felt uneasy, but they had to come to some sort of agreement. She had to get him to understand that she was not interested in being with him. Her thoughts drifted to tall and handsome again. She chuckled. She had met the man she was destined to be with. Funny though, she didn't even know his name. Lionel hang up his phone. Smiling ear to ear, this was better than he hoped. He'd meet her for lunch, and make his offer. Her love for her father wouldn't let her refuse, and when he got her alone... Well he had his powder ready. Soon, very soon, he would have complete power. As for her mate, the dark Were, his demise would not faze him in the least. So we have reached the end of chapter 3. Thank you for reading. Please share your thoughts. Chapter 4 will be submitted when it is complete. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 04 Werewolves and Indians Ch. 04 The memories often returned. Since Ja'Mal and Betty arrived, he recalled his past more often than before. He was seven years old when he met Keamon. Some older boys in the pack surrounded him and decided to play a game. To them it was fun, but for a small dark-skinned boy, being teased was not. Keamon was walking alone and he ran over and stood against the older boys. He threatened to tell the police. The boys laughed and started to mess with him too. At that moment Logan came and Jacob, they stood with Marcus and Keamon. The older boys backed off. He and Keamon became best friends. They grew up together, but when he reached maturity, his aging slowed. He seemed so much younger than his friend. That was one thing he hated for the humans. They aged quickly. He and Keamon were both in their seventies. Keamon looked like an old man, and he still appeared to be a man in his late twenties. His friend would depart this world soon. He knew it would hurt when he crossed over. He actually considered turning him, but turnings were hard for humans. Few survived the fevers. If there was one person he could have changed, it would be his only true friend. Ja'Mal hated what he was. He hated being a Were. Marcus understood, because decades ago, he felt the same. It would have been easier to just be human. Larry knew he was reliving a memory so he waited. "Larry, I will help him adjust. He needs guidance. He won't be able to resist her, because no Were can resist the mating pull. But until he's ready, she has to be safe." Marcus explained, then exhaled. "You and your daughter can move in today. I'll have a home prepared." "Thank you Marcus. Alpha Jermyo made a wise choice when he left the pack in your care," Marcus shook his hand and thanked him for his kind words. Larry grinned. If this kid thought he was getting away, he was wrong. His baby girl was just like her mother, determined. "Will you introduce us? I've told Kerri I want to meet this young man. Since talking with you, it's become imperative that I meet my future son." Werewolves and Indians Ch. 04 The girl was humiliated as she climbed from his vehicle. He looked in the diner at Kerri and sped off. The young woman dropped her head, and walked down the alley to her home. Jacob was livid. Lionel was a hateful, mean, despicable human being. He needed to be stopped. Marcus, he returned the girl. He is one sadistic fuck. This bastard is pure evil. We need to be extra vigilant. I know. Watch him. Marcus replied. Isla saw Lionel before he drove away. She became nervous. Something bad would happen tonight, but she didn't know what. Kerri saw the look of terror on Isla's face and spoke with her. "Isla, what is it?" she asked. "Nothing, just nerves. I can't wait until August and I go to school. I'll be so glad to get away from here." She added hoping to calm her friend. Kerri laughed, "Well you're going to school and I'm going to get my man," she teased. The tension eased and the girls went back to work. Lionel did not return that night, and Kerri was relieved. However, down the alley about a block away. A young girl cried her heart out because the man she loved would never really want her. Lionel was out of her reach and she had to let him go. She packed everything she owned, and trekked to the bus station. She bought a one-way ticket to the city where her sister lived. She was going home. She'd never see Lionel again and if she was pregnant, he'd never know he fathered her child. Jacob was disgusted. He wanted to shift and hunt Lionel down and rip out his throat. But Weres just didn't kill humans. No matter how much he wanted to end him, unless he was defending someone, he couldn't touch him. Jacob returned to the den. He didn't go to Marcus' house; he went home. He needed time. He needed space. He was so angry. He couldn't understand why? His need to destroy that man defied all logic, then he thought of the girl. The girl that bastard used and then discarded. He heard her cry as she walked away defeated. Jacob pushed the wall, fury burning inside him like a living being. Then it dawned on him, he had to find her. He had to help her before she did something drastic. After he was sure she was safe, then he'd make damn sure Lionel never spoke to her again. He knew Logan would bring Betty home and he didn't want his anger to interfere with his cousin, and he was happy for him. At least one of them would have a shot at perfect happiness. Jacob growled and headed back to town. He needed to get to the diner, because despite how Ja'Mal felt, he would defend him. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 05 Welcome back, In this chapter, the pack mingles and we learn more about the key players. Logan faces a rival for Betty's affection, and Marcus recognizes his mate. Kerri learns of her heritage, and Ja'Mal talks about what happened at their old pack. I want to say thank you for taking time to read my stories. I hope you truly enjoy them. Happy reading. IR2R Werewolves and Indians Ch. 05 As Larry watched his baby girl with her mate, he knew, she was home for good. He had to talk to her today. He had to tell her who and what she was to their people. He wanted Ja'Mal to be with them. He needed to know what was at stake as well. Larry looked over at Marcus, and he nodded. They needed to put all of the cards on the table, and now was the time to do so. Ja'Mal joined Kerri. She smiled. "Did you rest, well?" he asked. "Perfectly fine." She answered. "I saw you outside my window." Ja'Mal smiled, but looked away. He knew she saw him. He dreamt of her all night, chasing her in wolf form, spending time with her, just getting to know her. Larry walked in and Ja'Mal greeted her father. He was still nervous, wondering what the older man thought of him. Did he too find him lacking? Surely, he wouldn't be as crass as his former Alpha. Ja'Mal shuddered. Kerri held his hand and he relaxed. Larry smiled, thinking, You need to be nervous. That's my baby girl you're claiming. I am going to vet you good. Ja'Mal faced him and asked if he had a good night's rest. Larry answered, and asked about his night. As they chatted, Ja'Mal looked around for his mother and Logan. He realized that Momma hadn't come to the dining hall. Momma, are you alright? he sent. His mother was perfectly capable of taking care of herself, but since their banishment he took extra care of his mother. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 05 Logan blushed. His heart raced as her lips gently grazed his skin. He wanted this woman, and he wondered how he would make it through the day without seeing her. Before they got out of the car. "I want to let everyone know we are together. That way no lines will be crossed. Betty would that be a problem for you?" "No, and make sure those girls in the short skirts understand that you are off limits." She added, tongue in cheek. "I would hate to have to scratch some eyes out." Logan laughed, "Baby, you have nothing to worry about." He leaned over and kissed her. Betty returned the kiss. As soon as they got out of the car, Byron was already there, "Man, you dog. I knew you liked her. Congrats. How did you land a woman like that?" he teased. Logan smiled proudly and pulled Betty next to him. "She just agreed to give me a shot." He smiled smugly. "So, yes I am lucky." Then the three reported to work. Within minutes, news of Betty and Logan's new relationship was all over the office. Betty worked her line as usual, ignoring the stares and the jibes thrown her way. On break, she noticed that some of the women chose to not talk with her. So she sat and had coffee on her own. Her supervisor, joined her and offered her unwavering support. Betty took everything is stride and thanked her friend. Soon the day ended and Byron reminded Logan about practice. He joined the guys at the local gym. At first all seemed well, until Byron and some of the guys got a bit rough. Logan took it in stride, but when the opportunity presented itself he took great pleasure in knocking Byron on his butt. "What? What the hell, Logan?" Byron yelled. "Just because Betty is fucking you, don't think that means shit. I will beat your white ass and then take her from you." He declared. Logan almost lost it. He went back at Byron. "She wouldn't give you the time of day. How long did you try to get her? Huh? Months? It took me one night. Betty is my woman and if you think..." the coach stopped the argument. "That's enough. You are grown men, not children. Squash this shit, now. Or I'm calling Betty down here." He added for good measure. The guys on the team separated the two men. Practice resumed. Byron felt remorse. Logan was a good guy. He didn't deserve the digs he took at him. When practice ended, Byron apologized. "Look, man I'm sorry. Betty is an amazing woman. She deserves to be happy. Make her happy, OK." Logan nodded. "I'm sorry too, Byron.. I know you like her and I should have been more sensitive." He smiled a goofy smile, and Byron laughed. His friend was sprung. "She is everything I've ever dreamed of man." Logan added. He extended his hand. "We're ok, now?" he asked. Byron shook his hand and laughed. "Yea, now Saturday, you need to whip them fools like you did me tonight on the court." Soon the men reached their cars and bid each other good day. Logan could not wait to get home to his woman. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 06 Welcome back, In this chapter, we find out how deep Lionel's insanity runs. I hope you enjoy it and stick with me. I want to say thank you for taking time to read my stories. I hope you truly enjoy them. Happy reading. IR2R ***** Lionel was furious. That damn wolf has contacted the pack. I bet Marcus is helping him. Those kind always stick together. I never liked Marcus, and I will get rid of him. Uncle Frank warned me about him. And now a second one shows up. Well, both will die at my hands. he fumed. Donning his ceremonial rode and ancient talisman, Lionel traveled to the Saqueya desert. Here he'd perform the rituals that would start his journey to becoming all powerful. Oof, oof, um ba de ya! Oof, oof, um ba de ya! Oof, oof, um ba de ya! Lionel chanted as he entered into a fugue state. The spirit plane was amazingly beautiful. An array of colors of gold, green, dark blue hues, purples, and pinks. The vast area stretched for miles, green rolling hills and deep green valleys. Lionel stood in the center of the forest surrounded by human and were alike all powerful, all knowing. He saw it all. Everything, absolute power and the world bowed at his feet. In his trance he spoke directly to the spirit world. Then he waited as the oracle appeared a giant glowing ball of light. All the Shaman's of old congregated and counseled with him. This time was different. Now they feared him and his quest. "T'chukemia," this was his true name amongst his people. "We beseech you to stop this madness. Your plan will fail and destroy our people, our nation." A disembodied voice pleaded. Lionel scoffed, facing the oracle, he spoke, "I have planned for this time. I have prepared. Since I was a whelp and was told of her and the power she possesses, my desire has been to conquer her. For years I've watched those filthy creatures live amongst us. Some living better than most of our people ever dreamed. How is that fair? How can that be right? That ends now. We, the Hualapai, rule this land. I will restore our ways to the days of old." Lionel recalled the stories his uncle told him in his more lucid moments. He told a story of a proud people that ruled the land and beast alike. The Weres served them as did the blacks. As time passed, members of the tribes weakened. The Weres gained power with the promise of a Were princess being born. She would love the land and her people. Her love for her people would be her weakness. If he mated her, he too would become Were. As a shaman and now Were prince, he'd be all powerful. With her power that he'd inherit, he could destroy everything or allow things to simply exist. He could restore his people, and he would. Only they had to bow to him. "T'chukemia, if you do this, we will go. You will never enter into our fields of peace. Your soul, your spirit will be destroyed. We will no longer shield you." The spirits declared. Their declaration incensed Lionel. He would definitely exact revenge now. The spirits tried to control him, then he'd destroy them as well. "Silence, I am the last of my kind. It is my duty to restore our people. I will do so with or without you. So Old Ones, ban with me, or face eternal damnation." He declared angrily. Lionel stood and faced the oracle burning before him. This was the third time he'd faced the old ones, and he had now grown weary of dealing with them. In the past, he was awed by them. The last visit he learned that he could exert control over them and things changed. Now, the spirits seemed to fear him. "You know this is not so. Give up this quest. Find a woman to love and marry her. You can share your gift with your children." The spirits explained. For a second, Lionel paused. Then he recalled his childhood. He was miserable. He would never bring a child into this cruel world. He rejected their plea. Frank, his uncle that reared him spoke. He knew they wouldn't faze his nephew. "Nephew, I have trained you for this moment, this time. You, T'chukemia, have the power to right this heinous wrong done to our people. Ignore them T'chukemia. Listen to me and only me. I raised you from a small boy into the great man you have become. You deserve this. You, the last Shaman, should be their God." Frank spoke to his nephew, filling his mind with visions of grandeur. He knew the others disapproved, but the dye had been cast. The events had to play out as planned. There was no way to stop this course of action. He knew Lionel would probably fail and he didn't care. This was their last shot at greatness, and he would let no one dissuade his nephew. The spirits argued, chastising his uncle. Then the oracle faded. Lionel awoke. He felt even angrier. He knew the Shaman's of old were cowards. That's why they never ascended any higher. He absorbed their energy. He felt all powerful. He thought of Kerri and felt sick. She was beneath him, but he needed her to achieve greatness. Soon, Little Bitch. You will know your place. They can't keep you from me, ***** Kerri shuddered. She felt a ominous chill, the air frigid in her bedroom. She started to call for father, but her wolf rose. We stand and fight together. We will protect those we love. Kerri started to pace. She felt trapped. She wanted to go out, but father made her promise to never go anywhere alone. It was two in the morning and everyone was asleep. Across the den, Ja'Mal was alerted. His mate was afraid, and he needed to go to her. He rose and headed to her home. As soon as he was outside, he shifted. Within a few minutes, he was outside her window. He yelped. Kerri heard him and looked outside. Her fear subsided, he was here. Grabbing her robe and her father's robe, she rushed downstairs to see him. As soon as Kerri came outside, Ja'Mal shifted back and stood before her . She was impressed. He was everything she dreamed of. Kerri's breath caught. It took a moment to give him the robe, but she admired his magnificent frame. Her eyes traveled to the center of him and she was impressed with his girth. Her mate was blessed, even flaccid, his member was long and thick. She stared and he thickened. She is pleased with us. Our mate approves. his wolf bragged. "Um, here." Kerri started hurriedly handing him her father's robe. Ja'Mal laughed and took the robe. He put it on, tying it at his waist to cover his body. However, he could still smell her, feel the heat his body ignited. She wanted him. "Kerri, are you ok?" he asked. "I just had a weird feeling, that's all. I'm fine. Especially now that you're here," she added demurely. The two sat on a swing that was hanging on the porch. Ja'Mal placed his arm around her shoulder. She placed her head on his shoulder. His thick hair brushed against chin, and she inhaled his scent. Deep forest and pine, her mate had the most glorious of smells. Then she remembered her heritage. She wanted to talk about it all day, but was too afraid. She had to tell him now. "Ja'Mal, I must tell you something. Please listen. I will understand if you don't want to deal with this." She inhaled. "I am wapjanli, Wereprincess. Ja'Mal was interested. "What does that mean?" he asked. He had never heard of such a thing. Kerri moved from him, and then she shared the story her father shared with her. Ja'Mal was stunned. He understood now. Lionel wanted her because of what she was. It had nothing to do with love. Kerri kept talking. She faced her mate, and was about to say the words to free him to find someone else. Ja'Mal sensed it. Before she could utter a sound, he pulled her into his arms, cupped her chin, and kissed her. Kerri melted. Her body yearned for him, but now was not the right time. Jamal wanted her and there was no way to hide his desire, but he would not rush her. They spent the entire day together and he was amazed at the beauty and compassion she possessed. As much as his body screamed for him to take her, he knew the timing was off. Kerri lead him to the small bench on their porch. Ja'Mal sat, and she sat beside him. "Ja'Mal, I hate this; I hate being afraid. He is nothing, no one. He does not have the right to make me feel this way. Everyone is terrified, especially Daddy. I've never seen him so scared. I wish I could confront Lionel and end this, but that would be foolish. He can force me Ja'Mal, and I would be useless to stop him then." She exhaled, "I will stop him. I have to do it. I'm the one he wants right? Why? I'm nothing. I'm just a small town girl. The other part of me, the wapjanli, is powerful Ja'Mal. She doesn't fear him. She knows how to handle him. He wants her." Ja'Mal spoke. "Kerri... I am here. I know I'm not much, but-" Kerri placed her fingers on his lips. "Baby, you are so much more than what you think. Together, we can overcome this evil." Ja'Mal pulled her into his lap and held her close. He inhaled her scent, and was overcome with the fragrance of gardenias. His mate was everything he ever hoped for. Ja'Mal smiled to himself as he realized that it no longer mattered to him that she was fair and he was dark. What mattered was that they were together. Kerri wrapped her arms around Ja'Mal. She held him tightly. Soon, they both forgot about Lionel, their families, and were completely lost in each other. Ja'Mal listened as Kerri told him about growing up on the ranch. She remembered her father hiring housekeepers, and they found a gem in a woman named Lydia Smalls. She was a widower from the tribe. She hated living on her own and didn't mind moving in with them and looking after a young Kerri. It was through her that Kerri met the tribe and her friendship with the Hualapai people grew. She met Isla, and begged her father to let her go to school with her. He did and she flourished. Kerri continued living in town and working and one day she met Isla. Isla was a great friend, and so smart. She struggled in school, but Kerri tutored her and now she was going to college in the city. Kerri was so happy and proud of her. She'd miss her, but if anyone deserved this it was Isla. Isla's brother Oman was a good friend as well. Ja'Mal growled. He didn't like the idea of his mate befriending another male. Kerri laughed and smacked him playfully. Then she turned serious. "You know what; I have told you all about me. Tell me about you. I know you are from Tennessee, but that's it. Tell me about you family. I've met your Mom and I know from her that your Dad was killed in a challenge. Do you know any other members of your family? Why did you leave Tennessee?" Kerri asked curious. Ja'Mal froze. He never told anyone except Marcus about his old pack. What would she think of him? Kerri sensed his apprehension. She kissed him, and her kiss calmed him. "Ja'Mal, you are mine. There is nothing that you can tell me that will make me turn away from you." She promised. He believed her. This small, beautiful girl who had so much to deal with, vowed to stand by his side. "I'm not that important. I'll tell you about my past one day. But for now, tell me why you were so frightened? I felt it." he asked. Kerri shuddered. "I don't know really. I just got cold and it scared me. She woke me and told me to be alert." Kerri exhaled. "It's Lionel. Something changed tonight." She stood and walked to the edge of the porch. Then she faced him and smiled. "You felt me. Really, that's amazing. We have not even mated, yet we are connected." Ja'Mal moved to stand behind her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into him. "I will die to protect you Kerri. I will not let him harm you." He vowed. They heard a toilet flush and knew Larry was up. Ja'Mal started to move away from Kerri, but she wouldn't let him. Within seconds, the light popped on. Larry joined the young couple on the porch. He scented the air, and was a relieved to know they had not coupled yet. It would happen of that he was certain, but he wanted to talk with Ja'Mal before it happened. He observed the young couple and smiled. This was right. This was good. He would move heaven and hell to make sure this young couple had a chance. He smiled. His baby was safe at home and from the look of things, she'd be mated and giving him a grand pup soon. "Morning, Ja'Mal kind of early for a visit, isn't it son?" Ja'Mal blushed. He knew Larry Hardfoote was well aware of what how long he'd been at their home. "Good morning sir and yes it is. I was at home when I got a weird feeling and needed to see Kerri." He explained. Kerri froze, and he knew she didn't want to alert her father. "I just found her and I had to see her." He looked at Kerri and smiled. " I know I should have come over a little later, and I do apologize for waking you." He explained. Larry nodded. "That's OK, I was young once. Kerri, finish visiting and then come back inside love." "Ja'Mal, I'm going to my ranch tomorrow. Why don't you stop by when you get off? We can talk," he added jovially. Jamal was about to make excuses when Larry added, "Oh, it's not optional son. Not optional at all." He laughed at the looked of sheer terror that crossed the young man's face, but soon he went inside leaving that happy couple alone. "Daddy likes you," Kerri whispered. "It wouldn't matter if he didn't because you're mine." Ja'Mal held her a little longer until the sun peaked over the horizon. He had to go get ready for work. He missed the day before, so he knew he was behind. "Baby, I have to go. I'll see you at breakfast, alright." He whispered, kissing her once more. He removed Larry's robe, and ran into the yard, shifting into his wolf to race back to Marcus's home. As he entered, Jacob was already up. "I know what you've been doing?" he teased, as Ja'Mal headed to his bedroom to shower. Marcus joined Jacob and the two talked as they waited for their young charge. "None of your business, Jacob." Ja'Mal retorted. "Get a life." He added as he headed for his bedroom. Jacob laughed. Soon Marcus walked in looking the worse for wear. "So you are really getting into this Daddy role, huh?" Jacob teased. "I can't wait to see Keamon. I owe him some cash. We had a bet. Man you cost me twenty bucks." Marcus laughed. "Not a Dad, a friend. And what about you, you're as bad as I am. Look at you waiting up for him to come back, shadowing him while he's working, if I'm playing Dad then you must be the favorite uncle then." Jacob nodded. "He's a great guy. He'll be a fantastic Alpha. We need a strong leader. The sooner we take care of this threat, the sooner he takes his place. Besides, I'm tired of doing all of this work. It's time someone else had to lead for once. I need to find a woman. You guys have your women already." He added watching Marcus carefully. Marcus looked away. He didn't want to discuss his feelings for Patricia yet. He didn't quite understand them himself. Jacob decided to lay off, so he changed tactics. "When will you tell him?" Jacob asked. "I should have said something yesterday, but he was with Kerri. They were so cute together. I didn't want to ruin it for him. I'll tell him this weekend." He explained. Soon Ja'Mal joined them and they went to breakfast. Betty and Logan were already at the dining hall when the group arrived. Kerri and Larry walked in. Ja'Mal moved to her side immediately. No one said a word, but everyone knew. These two would mate soon. Marcus chuckled, as did Jacob. The omegas and thetas were serving when Marcus realized that he had not seen Patricia since earlier. He excused himself and found her in the kitchen, pulling out the meats for lunch. He didn't disturb her, so he just watched. She was an incredibly alluring woman. Patricia Ross fascinated the dark man that watched her. She was so alluring. He loved everything about her. She always wore her hair up, in some sort of twist. Marcus longed to free her tresses and run his fingers through her thick dark main. Her sun-kissed skin gave a healthy glow as she worked tirelessly to care for all of the pack members. He smiled; Patricia wasn't thin. She had curves. Marcus liked curves. She never flaunted herself, being so demure and proper, but he suspected that beneath her plain clothes she hid the body of a Goddess. He'd love to see what secrets she hid, but she didn't seem interested. He wished he was the kind of man she'd want. Soon, the object of his musings looked at him and smiled. His heart fluttered. He nodded to her and returned to the dining room, Logan joined him. Betty was talking with Ja'Mal and Kerri, and he decided to find out what was happening. "Look, I want to know what is going on? Do you need me to take off? I have some vacation time and I'll take it. How serious is this threat to Ja'Mal? I won't allow him to be harmed again." Logan was so serious that Marcus was taken aback. He had never seen his cousin so infuriated. "Logan, no one will hurt either of them. They are family, besides, we must defend him. Now don't take a day because we need eyes out there. Lionel often comes to the factory right. I need you to watch him. Besides, if you take off, that leaves Betty vulnerable. I wouldn't put it past him to target someone close to Ja'Mal. He wants Kerri and Ja'Mal is a threat. Can you cover us on that end?" Marcus asked. "I know I'm asking a lot." Logan smiled, "No problem, I'll watch out for him. She is my life Marcus; they have gone through enough." "I know Logan. Lionel's obsession with Kerri is unreal. Ja'Mal will defend her, and we must defend him. In case you haven't realized it, Ja'Mal is our new Alpha." Marcus stated. Logan was not surprised. "I need to tell him." "Tell him today. You can talk to him tonight, right?" Logan queried. "Yes, I learned a lot about where he and Betty came from. I know she has talked to you, right?" he asked. Logan was pensive. They talked last night, as he held her close. Her old pack hurt her, and he wanted to destroy them. As he listened, he realized it was what they did to her son that hurt her the most. He held her all night and promised her no one would hurt them again. They were home now. Logan nodded, "We talked a little last night. She didn't tell me everything, but they hurt them Marcus. If I could..." "Does she know he's an Alpha?" Marcus asked. Logan laughed, "Yes, she does. That's why she's so happy that he has met you." "Logan, we need to go." Betty called. They had to report to work. Logan told Marcus they could talk more later and he and Betty left. Soon everyone was gone. Marcus slipped into the kitchen to see Patricia. She was preparing a roast for lunch. He didn't want to disturb her, so he just smiled and went to work. He needed a game plan, because no one would hurt anyone in his family. It was time to end this threat against his people. ***** Larry left the den and reported to his ranch. He'd only been away a day, and some of the pack members took care of the place for him in his absence. Larry decided to check his few crops, when he noticed a black Lincoln driving up his dirt road. He knew who it was immediately. Marcus, Lionel's here. he sent. The driver pulled up and crawled out of the vehicle. Larry approached him. "Lionel, how are you son? What can I do for you today?" Larry asked. Here he was alone with this man. As he greeted him, Marcus replied that some wolfs were already there. Lionel wanted to grab the older man. Kerri would play right into his hands of he took her father. But he knew the wolves were around and they'd attack. No he needed a clear plan, something fool proof. "I noticed you been away and was worried. I have not seen your lovely daughter around is everything right?" he asked smiling. Larry nodded, never once letting down his guard. "She's fine. Visiting with friends." he explained. Lionel knew he was not being completely truthful. He was tired of this ridiculous game. When he took her power he'd kill her weak ass father first and make her watch. The dark were would go second. Then he'd rid the world of her last. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 06 "Well, I needed to talk to her. I think she misunderstood something I said. Will you have her call me? She can call the bank." Lionel explained. Larry didn't answer. He didn't have to. Lionel knew he would not give Kerri his message. "Stay away from her, Lionel. If you hurt my baby..." Larry froze. Lionel's entire countenance changed. His eyes glowed, and pure evil shined through. "She is mine. There is nothing you or that pack of dogs can do to stop me. I'll bide my time, but our mating is inevitable. You and the other pathetic dogs will perish." Larry for the first time was truly afraid. He had to save his child, and he was not sure what to do. At this moment a series of howls rent the air as members of the Kingsley pack filled the field. They stood together and dared Lionel to move. He may be invincible, but they could cause him undue amounts of pain. He looked at the pack of snarling dogs and laughed. "Bide your time, doggies. It will be over soon." Then he drove off. Marcus shifted back as did Jacob. Kerri was at the store and Ja'Mal at the garage. Marcus sent extra wolves to town and Larry called the sheriff. Once Lionel had gone, Marcus needed to vent. He had the pack to check the ranch, and he ordered several members to stay with Larry. He needed to talk. He sought out Keamon. Keamon invited his friend inside. His granddaughter, Isla was home. She quickly made them snacks and left the two gentlemen alone. Marcus relayed the day's events to his friend. His story bothered Keamon. Keamon had been warned and he knew that the spirit realm were done with Lionel. "You must tell him Marcus. He has no idea how powerful he is. The sooner you tell him, the better." Keamon exhaled. Marcus nodded. His friend was right. Then Keamon smiled, "Think about it. As soon as he assumes his role as Alpha, then you can finally convince Patricia to date you." Marcus huffed, "She's too good for me." Keamon shook his head, "Marcus, she is exactly what you need." The two friends talked a bit more. It helped Marcus focus. He knew exactly what he needed to do. Lionel would not win. He would make sure. ***** Marcus returned home to prepare of the coming confrontation. He worked on plans for hours when a soft knock interrupted his solitude. "Come in," he called. It was Patricia. She brought him an afternoon snack. He'd skipped lunch and she was worried. She didn't say much, just watched him. Marcus was quiet and looked at her in return. Finally he had to ask, "Pat, would you be interested in a guy like me?" Patricia couldn't answer. Her heart was racing, she was speechless. Marcus took her lack of response to mean he'd insulted her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything. You deserve better. Forget I said anything." He turned away. Patricia stood still speechless, wishing she had the words to tell this man he was all she ever wanted, but her hesitancy caused him to turn away. Scared and embarrassed, Patricia went back into the kitchen, castigating herself for being so incredibly shy. Marcus was hurt. He watched as Patricia rushed from his office. His wolf howled mournfully. She wasn't interested and he'd embarrassed her by asking. He'd leave her alone. Besides, no woman deserved to deal with him. He was old, ornery, and had no sense of humor. Patricia deserved a man that made her smile. He could no longer work, so he went for a run. Undressing and shifting, Marcus dashed off into the forest. He ran until he exhausted himself. He ran until he collapsed. He recalled his past and then seeing her. She took his breath away. She always made him feel. Since Papa died, they talked a bit more and he had to ruin it with his question. It was obvious, Patricia did not want him. She wanted someone else. He hated where his thought were headed. He hated the feeling of helplessness that engulfed him. But as much as he fought the thought, he too believed she didn't want a dark were. How could he convince Ja'Mal of anything when he doubted himself so greatly? Dinner was served, and Marcus didn't come. Patricia was worried. She hadn't seen him since earlier in his office. She wanted to explain, tell him what was in her heart. But he wasn't here. She cleaned and waited. He never came. She waited and saw him return home later that night, but he didn't look for her. Saddened by the events of the day; Patricia went back to her apartment. Ja'Mal was worried. Marcus was withdrawn. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked when Marcus finally returned home that evening. "Um, nothing. I just needed to run, that's all." Marcus replied. At this point both Logan and Jacob were at his home and they shared a look. However, the look on Marcus's face was closed off and they knew to back down. Jacob and Logan returned to the townhouse they shared, and Betty was waiting for Logan. As soon as he saw his woman, Logan smiled the goofiest grin. Jacob was soon forgotten as the new couple focused only on each other. He laughed, but was truly happy for them. Shaking his head, he thought about Marcus and Ja'Mal. Now Ja'Mal had finally taken his head out of the sand and was with his woman, but Marcus was still tiptoeing around his feelings for Patricia. You'd have to be blind not to see that those two belonged together. He'd work on this. He had to straighten out things for Marcus as well. The next morning, Marcus had an omega bring him breakfast. He wanted to work on a line of defense for whatever plot Lionel devised. Patricia fixed his meal and sent it. She missed him and it had only been one day. Marcus took the day to call some of the pack Alphas from neighboring packs. Most offered full support, while some took a wait and see approach. Soon, he felt he had enough allies that if things came to blows, Kingsley would not be alone. He didn't talk with Ja'Mal yet, but he would soon. Soon it was time for lunch, and Marcus knew he had to report to the dining hall. He did, but he made sure that he did not bother Patricia in anyway. She didn't want him, and he had to accept it. His wolf howled mournfully, but he ignored his beast. Patricia knew the moment Marcus walked in. Her heart raced, her palms were sweaty, and she had to see him. He sat at his table alone looking so dejected. She wanted to go to him and explain, but too many others were around and she was too shy. Marcus ate lunch and then returned to his office where he finished his day. He thought of Patricia. Tomorrow was the company picnic, so she'd get a break from him. He was sure she would enjoy it. Saturday morning dawned and most of the pack members were going to the cookout at the factory. Patricia orchestrated a light breakfast, and everyone ate. Marcus joined his family, and they were aware of a tension in the dining hall. Patricia was careful around Marcus. He was polite but distant. She knew she had blown any shot at anything with him, so she resolved to either tell him how she felt or meet someone new. He would be away today, so she'd take her time and reach a decision. Many members of the pack went to the picnic, so Patricia made light lunch of sandwiches and tea for those that stayed. Larry worked his ranch Saturday morning, but around noon he returned to the den. He went to the dining hall for lunch. He talked with a few of the older pack members when he noticed Patricia clearing the table. He could see she was sad. He thought maybe he could help. "Hey beautiful, why the long face?" he asked. Patricia jumped, Pack members rarely spoke with her. Usually they just left her alone. "Sir, Mr. Hardfoote, I'm fine. Did you enjoy your lunch?" she asked. "It was wonderful, as you well know." Larry exhaled. "Patty, I remember when you were just a tall, gangly, knot-kneed teenager. You were always so shy. He's really shy too, you know." Larry stated. Patricia blushed, "Mr. Hardfoote, I don't-" Larry kept speaking. "Patricia everyone with eyes knows how you feel about Marcus. Sweetheart, he feels the same way. Don't be afraid. Tell him." He encouraged. Patricia smiled and thanked him. Tonight when Marcus came home, she'd tell him how she felt. Maybe it wasn't too late. Throwing herself into her work, Patricia started dinner for the pack. She went to her apartment to think. She needed to either tell him how she felt or just forget about him. Before long the day ended and everyone was returning. ***** Marcus returned home after the picnic tired. He actually had a good time in spite of Lionel. He was glad to get a good look at that guy. He didn't travel to town often, so he was not too familiar with its residents. Marcus quivered as he recalled encountering that man for a second time. They arrived at the cookout before noon. Grills were fired, music playing, people just talking. He walked in with Betty and Logan. People looked, but they paid them no mind. Logan introduced his family to his coworkers. Soon more people approached, curious about the men that came with Betty. Quick introductions were made and several women were impressed. "Girl, your son is fine. Let me holler at him," a lovely young woman stated. Betty told her he was taken but she was persistent. She approached Ja'Mal and made her interest known. "Hey Baby, I'm Tasha. Why don't you walk with me and let me holler at you?" she introduced herself placing her body between Ja'Mal and Kerri. Kerri was annoyed and Ja'Mal knew he had to handle this situation quickly. "Hi, Tasha, as lovely as you are. And you are lovely, I must say no. I'm not interested." He then took Kerri's hand. Tasha was ticked, "Oh first your Momma and now you. Hmm," she eyed Kerri, "I should have known." Marcus was stunned. He knew bitches often fought for male attention, but the women here, the human women, were just as vicious. He cleared his throat, capturing Tasha's attention. She smiled and moved over to him. "Um, are you a white-washed brother as well?" She asked. Marcus was appalled, but he remained polite. "I am a lover of women, all kinds. And you my dear are one beautiful woman." He added. His words worked because the situation was quickly diffused. Tasha attached herself to him and he had a constant companion for the day. Ja'Mal pulled Kerri off to the side to reassure her of his love. They'd spent the past few days together. They were together so much, that Jacob and Marcus teased them and said she should move into Marcus' home. Ja'Mal thought of Larry and knew he'd kick his butt if he tried anything like moving his daughter in with him. He'd shudder and Marcus and Jacob would laugh their behinds off. It seemed those two guys loved goading him. Kerri didn't like the way the women watched Ja'Mal. He loved the fact that she was jealous, but she didn't need to be. His heart, soul, body, and mind belonged to her, no one else. He pulled her in his arms and reminded her of just who his heart belonged to. She relaxed and held on tightly. Kerri stood at his side; clearly signaling to everyone there that Ja'Mal Sims was taken. Marcus was amused when several women approached him. He was polite and loved the attention. These women were aggressive. Several attached themselves to him and would not leave his side. Tasha acted as if he was her personal property. Soon several other women joined them and Jacob found himself surrounded as well. The gathering swelled and the party went on. Soon, Byron saw Logan and had to speak. Although he appeared friendly, both Jacob and Marcus noticed undercurrents between the two men. The man was clearly interested in Betty. Ja'Mal, too noticed how the man watched his mother. Taking Kerri by the waist, he took position on the left of his mom. His message was clear, "She's taken." Neither male spoke, and Logan kept his wolf subjugated. Byron finally knew. He didn't stand a chance with this woman. She was taken. His demeanor changed, but he smiled jovially accepting the turn of events. Byron spoke, "Man, you are so damn lucky. I should have moved a little faster." Betty blushed, her face turning a bit darker. Logan laughed, and it was the most amazing sound. "Byron, you didn't stand a chance. She is perfect for me." Byron nodded, as the others looked on. "Well man, congrats. Besides, you're off the market, so less competition for me." He added winking at the women that had joined the small group. "Hey we will warm up before the game. Coach wants to talk to us. Meet us on the court thirty minutes before the game." Byron looked around. He saw some of the companies leaders arrive. He made excuses to leave. However, he noticed several nubile females within the group and smiled. Being a notorious flirt, he told the women that were gathered around that he looked forward to watching them cheer for him during the game then he walked off. All of the women were silent, and the males noticed that they took great pleasure in watching Byron walk away as they each admired Byron's tight derriere. Ja'Mal pulled Kerri closer to his side and she laughed. "Who's jealous now, mate?" she teased. Logan, growled, but Betty laughed, Love he has a cute bottom, but yours is the only one I want. I'm yours. Don't ever forget it. he growled in reply. Then the atmosphere changed. Ja'Mal and Kerri tensed. Marcus looked up and then he saw him for the second time. "Lionel!" Lionel saw Kerri and Ja'Mal together and his expression changed. He was not pleased to see them together. Lionel spoke with company leaders, but Marcus was not fooled. Marcus noticed how he watched Ja'Mal and Kerri. "He won't come near you. Ja'Mal, don't worry." He told Ja'Mal when they got a moment alone. Kerri had walked off with Betty and some of the women. They were on high alert. Not realizing his true status, Ja'Mal issued an Alpha command. All Weres in the vicinity complied. Watch him. If he gets near her, stop him. "Yes sir," the wolves replied. Soon several pack members surrounded the women. The females joined the group. Betty and Kerri were aware that they were surrounded but not afraid. "Love, Lionel is here. Stay close to Keri." Logan sent. Betty nodded, but Ja'Mal decided to confront the bastard. He had enough. He was not to go near his mate, his mother, or his friends. Marcus stopped him. "Not here. I want his ass to, but not here." Ja'Mal stopped. Marcus knew it was the trust he had in him that stopped him. It was then that Lionel noticed Marcus. He hated him. The hate he felt for that man permeated his being. It was him who protected the dark Were. He would be destroyed as well. Lionel decided to test him. He walked around, circling the wolves. His goal was to approach Marcus. The closer he got to him, the more his stench made him gag. "Marcus, you must be new here. I've never seen you around." He opened his conversation. Marcus fought the urge to strike. "I've lived here my whole life. You must be Lionel,." He added, making sure the cretin knew he was no novice. "Ah yes, the Kingsley Estate, Uncle told me Mr. Kingsley adopted little black boy. Tell me, why isolate yourself. You could have mingled more with the locals." He suggested. "Look Lionel, cut the bullshit. I don't like you and I know the feeling is mutual. Let's agree to stay away from each other. Now I'm here to enjoy myself, and you are ruining the day for me. Good day Lionel." Marcus walked away. Lionel glared after him. He has a weakness. I will find it and destroy him. That will leave her mate open. I will take advantage of his grief and take the wapjanli. She is mine. I will rule. As Lionel contemplated Byron approached. "Hey, Lionel, how are you man?" "Byron, hey. I'm good. Are you ready to lose? I'm backing the other team. You guys don't stand a chance." He teased. Byron laughed. "Yeah, you guys won last year, but this year, we're ready. We have a secret weapon. Get ready to be whipped." "We'll see." Lionel conceded, "We'll see." Byron laughed as Lionel dismissed him to talk with some other executives. He soon joined his friends. As Lionel talked with the company president, he glared at Marcus. Not one to back down, Marcus glared right back at the bastard. He could tell that Lionel had a problem with him and decided to confront him once more. Jacob stopped him. "Man, let's enjoy the picnic. Forget him. We are watching him. He is trying to goad you. He did the same to Ja'Mal at the diner. Don't let him get to you." Marcus nodded. He forced Lionel from his thoughts and simply had fun. Soon it was time for the game. He cheered his cousin on. Logan could play. This fact surprised many. At work he was always so serious, introverted, and a loner. On the court, he was a monster. He and Byron ruled the court. Their team won, earning the championship trophy. Byron was rewarded with several numbers, and Logan received a very affectionate and extremely public kiss from his woman. The guys hooted and hollered. Logan and Betty took the teasing in stride. Lionel had seen enough. These filthy animals needed to be destroyed. He made nice with the company bigwigs and told them he had to go. The female, the one that kissed Logan, laughed. Her laughter made him even more angry. She was the mother of the one called Ja'Mal. None of the Weres looked at him. They did not acknowledge him at all. They dared to defy him; he'd destroy them one by one. First he'd start with Marcus. He was the leader. If you took out the leader, they would fall. The dark Were had some power, but it was unrealized. If he caught him now while he was weak, destroying him would be child's play. Kerri felt her wolf become agitated. She looked around and saw Lionel watching them. We must deal with him. He intends to harm our people. She told her human. Her true nature rose, exposing the wapjanli, letting him know she was nobody's fool. He noticed her change in posture, her defiant glare, and her true nature glowing on her eyes. Lionel stared at the object of his desire and snarled. She knew who and what she was. That meant she'd fight. He'd loved breaking her. He smiled. Kerri, not being intimidated smiled back. You will fail. T'chumekia. I will never belong to you. her wolf vowed. He seemed to read her thoughts. His smiled vanished as he glared at the beautiful blonde woman. Soon he turned and walked away. He had to strike soon. She too was powerful, and he needed her strength. ***** "Baby, are you alright? That guy... I know you're worried." Ja'Mal stated wanting to reassure her. "Love I don't fear Lionel. He is a fool." She stroked his cheek, to keep his attention. "Ja'Mal, we need to mate soon. I can't protect you like this, but when we mate, I can keep you safe," she explained. "Baby, look I want to mate with you, but others might..." Ja'Mal started to explain. "I know this is fast. We've only just met, and started our relationship. It's been what, two or three days, since we acknowledged each other. Yet, I know that I belong to you, just like you belong to me. Maybe, I am moving too fast, but I need you Ja'Mal. I want to be one with you. I will wait." She giggled, "I won't promise to be patient because I love you. You are the other half of my soul, and I won't live without you." He looked away and she could read the self-doubt in his eyes. Kerri exhaled. "You are more than what you think. You are great and powerful Ja'Mal. I can feel that in here." She placed his hand on her heart. "Take your time, but don't take too long." Kerry took a breath and exhaled. She seemed to be back to normal. Ja'Mal was speechless. "Baby, it's still me, just a little but more. But she has a point. Don't take too long to decide." "Kerri, come help us clean up." Betty called. "Yes Ma'am" she answered before facing Ja'Mal once more. "I'm going to help my mother and you need to decide." She kissed him lightly before running off. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 06 "Ja'Mal, we need you to help carry out the trash bags. Go find Logan. We need him too." Betty ordered. "Yes Ma'am." Ja'Mal answered rushing off to do his mother's bidding. ***** Marcus was talking with Keamon and Jacob was surrounded by women. Logan saw Ja'Mal sitting and decided now was as good a time as any. He walked over. "Hey, Ja'Mal, did you enjoy yourself today?" He asked awkwardly. "Umm, it was fun Logan. Congrats, you've got skills, man" he added. Logan nodded, "Thanks," He sat down next to him and was silent for a moment. "Does it matter to you that Momma is a dark Were? If you have kids, they won't look like you." He added. Logan exhaled. He understood Ja'Mal's pain. He saw what Marcus went through as a child. Times were different now, and being Dark didn't matter as much, or so he hoped. His children would be dark Weres, his mate was a dark Were, and he was the luckiest wolf alive. Logan smiled, and Ja'Mal was silent. Then, he spoke. "I love her, Ja'Mal. Race does not matter to me. If she accepts me and agrees to give me children, I will love them with everything I have in me. Look, I know you had a hard time, but you need to remember something. Any children Betty and I have would be your brothers and sisters. They will have you, me, their mom, Kerri, Marcus, Jacob, and an entire pack looking out for them. They will have a group of people that will be there for them, no matter what. Yes, they will be special, because they will be ours. Besides, what about Kerri? When you mate, do you think she will agree not to have children? Would you deny her that joy just because of your past? No, you love her. And you would fight to the death to protect your babies. Look, Ja'Mal, it's just skin. If you cut us, we all bleed red. Right?" he concluded. Ja'Mal smiled. Momma had a wise mate. He already liked Logan, but his respect for him had grown even more. He glanced over where the women were cleaning, and he and Kerri shared a smile. "Logan, I like you. You make Momma happy. Keep her happy, OK." Ja'Mal added. Logan nodded and for the briefest moment, the two men sat silently watching the women they loved. "Oh, and Logan, Momma says she needs our help. We have to toss the trash." The disgruntled look on Logan's face was priceless. Ja'Mal actually laughed, and for once he was content. "Ug, Marcus and Jacob can help too." Logan grumbled. He called out to the others and they all helped clean up. Soon they finished and everyone went their separate ways. Marcus gave Keamon a ride home before heading back to the den. Jacob managed to get Tasha's attention, so he was spending the rest of the day with her. Meanwhile, the women talked as well. "I know he's your mate, but he's still my baby." Betty told Kerri as they removed the final table cloth. Kerri looked at her mother, startled. Betty laughed. "Girl, loosen up. I need grandpups. Besides, I hope Ja'Mal has a little boy that's just as mischievous as he was growing up." She added smiling. They spent some time with Betty regaling her with stories of the stunts he and the other young pack members would pull. Kerri laughed. She couldn't wait to bear his pups. But she decided, to tease back. "What if you and Logan have another one as well? Ja'Mal might be jealous, but he'd be a big brother. That would be so neat." Betty smiled. She and Logan would mate soon, but did he want children? This was something they needed to talk about. She'd ask him about it when they got some time alone. Kerri and Betty laughed as they both found themselves thinking about the fun they would have making babies with their mates. "I like you, Kerri. Take care of my baby, alright." Betty stated. Kerri smiled, "He is my heart; I'd die before I hurt him. Thank you for accepting me Mrs. Sims." "Call me Betty. After all, you are my new daughter, right?" Betty asked. Kerri laughed, "Yes, Betty, and I am honored to be your daughter." Ja'Mal and Logan walked over to them and the women shared a look. Both men saw it and were a bit concerned, but not too much. Their women kissed them and all was right in their worlds. ***** After musing over the events of the day, Marcus decided that he was hungry and headed for the kitchen. Patricia wasn't around. He thought about her and was hurt that she didn't answer his question. He would always want her, but obviously she was not interested. At that moment, Patricia walked in and spoke. Marcus turned around and a strange scent assaulted her. "Perfume, you lain with someone..." she stated, clearly upset. Marcus started to explain but remembered that she wasn't interested. "Wait, you aren't interested, right? So what does it matter if..." "Shut up. For over twenty years, there has only been you Marcus. You are all I see. All I think about. You asked me if I wanted you, and because I was stunned and couldn't answer, you assumed I would say no. When have I ever said no to you?" Patricia demanded, fighting back her tears. "I know you can see any one you want. That as far as I am concerned, you owe me nothing, but you were with someone and..." she burst into tears and turned to flee. Marcus went after her. "Patricia, Patricia, wait!" he yelled, as she shifted and fled from him. He followed her home and stopped at her apartment. "Patricia, Pat, open the door. NOW!" he demanded. No answer. Marcus banged on the door and demanded that she open it. Theta and Omegas alike look on. "Marcus, go away." Patricia sobbed. The sound of her crying ripped his heart open. He had to make this right. "Patricia, sweetheart, please open the door." He pleaded. Several wolves came outside to look. They could see that Marcus was upset, and could not believe that Patricia was refusing him. Marcus was acting Alpha, no one refused him. It was a sign of sheer disrespect to do so. "Look girl, this is my last time. Now open this door, or I'm kicking it in." he demanded once more. "Um, Marcus, let me," an older Omega spoke. She was ecstatic. She knew these two belonged together and was glad to finally see it happening. "Patricia, sweetheart, you can't refuse the Alpha. Right now he is Alpha. You're hurting him, please open the door." She called. She smiled because she had watched these two dance around each other for over two decades. It was time for them to come together. It was time for them to be happy. I'm hurting him. How? Patricia thought. Then she remembered that he could be seen as weak. Someone might try and challenge him. He could get hurt. So soon she relented and opened her door. Marcus thanked the Omega and rushed inside. She walked away from him, not wanting to smell another woman's perfume on him. Marcus realizing his shirt was drenched in Tasha's perfume, quickly removed his shirt, and tossed it to the side. Wearing jeans and a black wife beater, he approached her carefully. His wolf near the surface and prowling the entire time screaming MINE! ***** Lionel sat in his home office contemplating. He was glad that he decided to go to the company picnic. It revealed a lot. Kerri and Ja'Mal had accepted one another. This would make getting to her more of a challenge. He also noticed that the pack was centered on protecting those two. He needed a plan. Marcus made him sick. He hated him. He'd find his weakness and destroy him. It was obvious that Ja'Mal looked up to him, almost as a father. He'd want to defend him and then he'd strike. He would use Marcus to draw Ja'Mal out. Once Ja'Mal was out in the open, he could take him and gain control once again of this situation. Lionel smiled. Wolves were so fucking loyal, and it would play right into his hands. He thought of Kerri, she was wapjanli, and she knew it. He would love breaking that bitch. She thought herself too good for him, better than him. He would make her watch as he destroyed everyone she cared about and once he absorbed her power; he'd fuck her and kill her as he climaxed. The bitch would sacrifice herself for her mate. This would be child's play. I might even let Ja'Mal live long enough to watch me claim his woman. Then, kill him. He'd force Kerri to give herself to him and wapjanli or not, she'd pay for her defiance this day. ***** So ends chapter 6. Lionel is a piece of work. I wonder what he will do next? I can't wait to see. Chapter 7 will be written. I hope you enjoyed chapter six, please vote and share your thoughts. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 07 Welcome back, In this chapter, Marcus and Ja'Mal step up to the plate. Lionel crosses a line. I want to say thank you for taking time to read my stories. I hope you enjoy them. Happy reading. IR2R Werewolves and Indians Ch. 07 She stroked his manhood as he caressed her breast, kissing and nipping her neck leaving passion marks in his wake. She was so hot, so wet for him. He spread her nether lips apart and inserted his forefinger. Her body shook as his dexterous member entered her. Soon she rolled her hips, making love to herself on his digits. He pulled his finger out and kicked her juices from the tip. He groaned; his woman tasted divine. "Come on," she whispered, then she shifted. He shifted and joined her in his true form. The two wolves scented each other and the joined in a dance as old as time. Kerri stood prone and allowed her male to mount her. Ja'Mal, his animal in control, entered his woman forcefully, howling as her heat enveloped him. Jamal wanted to brand his female. No other male would have her she was his. She would be his forever. He'd destroy anyone who tried to take her from him. His thrust was so wild so powerful and Kerri returned them with a passion. She whimpered beneath the force of them. She knew he didn't men to fruit her, but was caught up in the moment. Jamal's wolf needed to taste her, mark her. As he felt his body quiver, he leaned down, piercing the neck with his sharp teeth. At his bite, Kerri came chanting his name, declaring her love for him. She had never experienced anything so powerful, so moving before. This wonderful male was hers forever. She just had to return his bite. Soon she felt his knot lodge itself deep inside her. Finally, he collapsed on her back. Licking the wound he'd inflicted on her, and knowing he was a bit rough, Ja'Mal resolved to be gentle with his woman from this point on. In wolf form he chuffed, and whimpered, She understood, as she whined softly. They lay together and soon shifted back to human. "I love you, Kerri. Jamal whispered. You are amazing." Kerri laughed. "Well, mate, as soon as I mark you and we're fully joined, let's see how long that thought last." Jamal held her close, kissing her and telling her how much she meant to him. Soon his knot dislodged and the separated. Jamal yawned, and Kerri laughed. "Oh no, love, you marked me, now it's your turn, Lay back." she ordered. She straddled his waist and squeezed his cock. It was fantastic, long thick with a huge bulbous head, thick dark veins down the sides. Kerri licked him and he hissed. Within seconds, he was rock hard and ready. Rising above him, Kerri slid her body onto his thick shaft. She froze. He felt huge. Before he was in charge, now she controlled the pace. She was determined to make her man scream, so slowly she rolled her hips, Jamal loved it, The feel if his woman riding him was glorious, The she sat straight up and began to buck on him wildly, She flexed her vaginal walls, squeezing his thick shaft as he was embedded deep inside of her. "Ahhhhh", he moaned. His exclamation, made his woman even wilder. Her goal was to hear him scream, and he would before she was through. Jamal grabbed her hips, and was about to take control, but she stopped moving. "Uh uh, I'm in charge." She reminded him. Jamal growled. Kerri laughed. She would really enjoy her life wrestling with her mate. She continued her machinations, for a while, Soon she was ready to cum. Her body quivered as anticipation built. The walls of her sex leaked profusely covering both she and her lover. Her heart pounded, and her breathing was heavy gasp. She was so close, as was he, but Ja'Mal could not contain himself any longer. He needed to fill his woman. He needed to feel her bite. It was time. "Kerri" he moaned as she lunged forward and marked him. Both howled as they once again climaxed simultaneously. Love you, love you, love you! Kerri chanted, not knowing if he could hear her or not. Ja'Mal closed his eyes as a sensation flooded him, a feeling so strong, so powerful that he forgot to breath for a moment. Soon he and Kerri connected on a mental plane. He saw her, Wapjanli and she smiled, but it was something more. He too had power. It was not the same as the Were-princess, but he felt strong, Jamal laughed, "I love you too, baby." Then something happened. He felt strange, powerful, wise, yet different. Soon they calmed and both opened Kerri's eye flew to his face. Their eyes and faced each other. They were truly one, man-woman-beast. Kerri looked at her mate and gasped. At last, she saw who and what he truly was. She saw the Alpha of the Kingsley Pack. And until tonight, he had no idea. "We must protect our people" he stated. His tone was different. An air of authority surrounded him. "Yes, Alpha, you are right." She answered. Jamal started to speak and deny what she had just implied, but he realized that she was right. He was Alpha. He needed to speak with Marcus. "Baby, we need to..." Kerri laughed. "I know you need to see Marcus." Jamal looked worried. "Ja'Mal, it will be alright. I bet he knows. And he will be behind you one hundred percent." Soon they dressed and returned to the den. Jamal thought of her father. He needed to talk with him and he would. But first, he needed to see Marcus. They arrived at Marcus's home, and walked inside; Isla rushed to Kerri and hugged her. Keamon took one look at them and laughed, congratulations you two as well." Kerri blushed, and whispered, "Thank you." Marcus walked in and he and Ja'Mal connected, as did Ja'Mal and Patricia. He instantly knew that Jamal finally realized he was Alpha. He quickly diverted his eyes, submitting to his new Alpha immediately. Patricia walked in and soon followed. Jamal spoke, "Stop, look at me. Marcus I never..." Marcus smiled. "I was never meant to be Alpha of this pack Jamal. You were. You have no idea how relieved I am that you finally arrived. My mate and I are here for you and will support you in anyway that we can." He explained. "Wait, your mate?" he asked. Then he really noticed Patricia. "You old sneak. I had no idea. Congratulations." He added hugging his member and his new bride. Marcus laughed, "I see I'm not the only one who mated tonight?" he teased. Ja'Mal; puffed up, Yea, she's mine now and forever." Kerri laughed and hugged her new mate as did Patricia. The Keamon spoke. "I wish we had time to really celebrate, but we have a serious problem. Lionel. He won't be happy about this." Werewolves and Indians Ch. 07 She smiled, and Jacob knew. She loved this vile creature, this man that treated her like trash. He also knew that to escape he'd have to fight both. Him as his capturers, and her because she would fight to protect the male; Jacob closed his eyes. He didn't want to hurt a female, but to escape, he might have too. "Excuse me you two, I'm leaving now,." He walked in and casually announced. Jerome knew if this man went to the police, he was going back upstate. "Sorry, bruh, you ain't going nowhere." he explained advancing on Jacob. Tasha stood back, terrified. Jerome would kill this man before he let him go. Why couldn't he just do as she asked. She would have convinced Jerome to let him leave. Something in Jerome changed. His face contorted, and he was angry. "No one leaves this place alive." Then he thought for as moment. "Where are my boys?" he asked. Jacob didn't move; he was ready to defend himself. Jerome called out, "Ice, Juju", no answer. "What the fuck did you do to them?" he demanded, grabbing Tasha and rushing into the other room. Jacob then ran for the door, just as he reached the knob, he heard gunshots and dropped, barely escaping a shot aimed at his head. Jerome continued firing as Jacob sought cover. Soon he was out of bullets. Tasha begged him to stop, but he backhanded her, knocking her across the room. Jacob took this opportunity to disarm him. And just as he suspected, Tasha came to Jerome's aid. He shoved her across the room and continued to fight for his life. Fortunately for him, Logan contacted the scout wolves and they heard the gunshots. They immediately followed the sound and found their missing member, He was engaged in a fight for his life. Bursting through the door, two of the wolves grabbed Tasha before she could interfere and inject Jacob with a strange syringe she was holding. This allowed Jacob a chance to end Jerome. One of the wolves called the sheriff and the officer arrived within minutes. Jacob was handcuffed, and led off. Tasha was taken is as well. Jacob refused to speak and asked for council. He sent message to Jamal. "Lionel did not do this. I killed the man that did. I need lawyer." Jamal answered, "We're on our way." He looked at Marcus. Marcus said, "I'll call Nesbit. He handles pack affairs." Jamal nodded. However, when Jacob arrived at the jail, his council was already present. Chief Joe, the the chief of the Hualapai people, sent his daughter. Jacob was a friend of the tribe. If he had a encounter with Jerome, he was certain anything done was in self-defense. The officer brought Jacob in dreading this case. It has the earmarks of being a racial powder keg. "I would like to speak with my client." Jacob heard the sweetest voice. His wolf howled. Then he saw her. She was everything he ever dreamed of. There was one problem. He had known Sunnet Dreamfeather her whole life and she never liked him. As a matter of fact, she took great pleasure in explicitly explaining to him and anyone that would listen why she despised him. So deep was her disdain for him, she would often say if he were on fire, she'd watch him burn." Jacob loved egging her on, She always reacted in the most hilarious ways, It entertained him to no end. She moved away years ago, and he missed her. He had no idea she was back. But now she was back to defend him. Maybe this time he could convince her to stay. The officer led them to the small interrogation room and left them alone. Sunnet looked at her nemesis. He was as gorgeous as ever. She soaked up his square jaw, dark auburn tresses, and the woman in her appreciated the fact that he kept his body in shape. Secretly, she always had a crush on this man, but he'd never know it. Mentally shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Sunnet faced her client. Jacob Kingsley drove her insane. She was here to see her parents and Daddy asked her to meet this man at the jail. She waited as beat and said four words. "Tell me what happened?" Jacob swallowed. He took a deep breath and the scent of wild flowers filled his nostrils. She was as beautiful as ever. Jacob loved her bronzed skin, naturally thick black hair. She wasn't overly thick. She wasn't overly thin, but curvaceous. She was tall too. He perfect match for his six foot by nine inch frame. He wondered if she tasted like hot cinnamon, and even after all these years, he still wondered. His wolf began to prowl, but he subjugated his beast. "I'm not sure how I ended up there I just did. That guy Jerome, held Tasha and me captive. I managed to escape my bonds and took out the first two guys. I didn't plan to kill anyone, but it was a life or death situation. I told him I was leaving, and I tried to go. He started shooting. I managed to get close to him and took away his weapon. In the tussle, I broke his neck. Tasha was there. But in all honesty, she may not tell the truth." He stopped. "Why were you with her? You had no..."Sunnet stopped. She was out of line. "I'm sorry, your personal life is not my business." Jacob smiled, "It is your business. But we can talk more about that later. Right now, can you tell me what they plan to charge me with?" Sunnet exhaled, "Don't talk. No matter what they ask. Do not speak unless I'm with you. Understand." She stated. "I want to talk to the detective," and she stood to leave. Jacob smiled, because she was one good looking woman, even wearing sweats. This time, when he got out of this mess, Miss Sunnet Dreamfeather wouldn't be allowed to leave him again. Jacob smiled, and nodded. Soon the deputy came and escorted him to his cell. At this point, Jamal, and Marcus arrived at the station demanding to see their friend. Sunnet walked out, and Marcus recognized her immediately. Jamal looked pensive. Marcus had already mated with Patricia; he had no business being so friendly with another female. Marcus brought Sunnet over to him and introduced her. Jamal relaxed after introductions. She was helping Jacob. That was enough for now. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 08 Welcome back, Now that Ja'Mal and Kerri have mated, the fun begins. Or does it? Lionel attacks and the pack pushes back. I must warn you that this chapter is heavy and there is no sex. Please do not let this deter you from reading the story. Happy reading. IR2R Werewolves and Indians Ch. 08 Lionel lunged and Ja'Mal caught him. A battle ensued, man against beast. They fought, Ja'Mal, in his wolf form, leaped and knocked the creature to the ground. He went for his jugular, but Lionel was too fast, too crafty. One swipe and he sent the big black wolf sailing though the air. Ja'Mal recuperated and pounced once more. None of the wounds inflicted on this monster slowed him down. He had no idea how to stop him. Finally the Wapjanli spoke. Take his heart. It's the black mass in the center of his being. It fuels his hatred. Without it, he cannot survive. Jamal stood strong once more. He knew what he needed. He now was focused on one part of this monster. He pounced once more biting a huge chunk of flesh from his chest. Lionel realized he was going for his heart and knew he had to kill the dog now, or he'd be killed. Lionel struck Jamal skewering his side. A deep wound, Jamal bled profusely weakening by the second. Betty was already upset because she knew something had happened to Logan, but when Ja'Mal took a fatal blow, she felt it. Betty screamed and Kerri too felt a sharp pain where her mate was struck. Kerri knowing she was about to lose her mate fought to remain calm. It was then that Jamal sent one final order, Get them out, now The betas complied. They started moving the weaker members through the tunnels. Betty refused to go as did Kerri and Oman. "I can't lose my son and my mate," Betty cried. "I'm going out there." She rushed to forced the door open. Larry held her back as Keamon tried to reason with the distraught woman. "He will defeat him, just have faith." Keamon assured everyone. More of the pack was lead to safety. Through the tunnels. Kerri sent to Jamal, I love you and I'm not leaving. Her words gave him strength. He lay on the ground as Lionel stalked him and he knew what to do. He felt his mother's sorrow, his mates fear, but above all else, he felt her love. When Lionel leaped on top of him once more he was ready. As a pup he father gave him a small dagger. He wore it at all times. For this battle, he actually grabbed it as soon as they arrived and saw the carnage. He dad would always say, you'll know when to use this." Well now it was time. As Lionel pounced, Ja'Mal shifted. The wolf could not defeat this demon, but the man would. Closing his eyes, he held his weapon out as Lionel impaled himself onto it. Not waiting a second, Ja'Mal ripped his chest open and ripped out the blackened heart. Lionel fell. Changing back into a man, he was done and this man was the one to stop him. How could he fall to this guy. He looked up as Jamal stood over him, covered in blood, and holding his black bleeding heart in his hand. He saw the spirit of the wapjanli and he knew it was over. He had one request. It was not the request of a egomaniac, or a killer, or even a man who was just greedy. Lionel thought for a moment. He was done and he knew he'd made a stupid choice. He should have just stopped, now he was leaving her alone, without him. He looked at Ja'Mal and made his simple request. "Find my little girl. Tell her that I loved her, despite everything I became." Then he closed his eyes. Ja'Mal hated this man and to learn he had a child gave him pause. Ja'Mal was stunned; his reaction was priceless. Lionel had a child. His little girl would grow up without her father. Her father died at his hands. What type of monster did that make him? Would Lionel's daughter continue her father's hateful legacy? He could not find answers because at that moment, Lionel's body dispersed into dust. He was gone. Jamal ordered the betas to stop the evacuations and bring everyone back. The demon was gone. Kerri , Betty, Oman, Isla, and Keamon rushed out to find their home covered in blood and entrails. The dead lay everywhere and Lionel was gone. Ja'Mal was covered in so much blood that Kerri screamed, thinking he was fatally wounded. Kerri ran to Jamal and as he stared off in shock. Rushing to him, her arms encircled his waist. I'm here, love. I'm here. she sent. He turned and held her. He wanted to cry, scream at the damages caused by a mad man, rally at the injustices, but he could not utter a sound. Betty hugged her son, checked him for injuries, reassuring her self that he was still alive. Then she asked for Logan. She didn't see him. "Where is he, Ja'Mal? Where is Logan?" Betty demanded softly. "Momma, I'm sorry, Logan was hurt. He's at the medical center." She took off before he could finish. The healers were working nonstop helping the injured wolves. Betty found Logan laying in a corner with Marcus. Betty rushed to Logan. She collapsed, as she saw that he was wrapped in bandages that still were full of blood. Patricia found Marcus at his side and she hugged him. They stitched him up, and his wounds were healing slowly. Patricia joined them holding her new mate, as she too examined him for injuries. "Baby, You're alive. I'm so glad..." she whispered over and over again. Ja'Mal and Kerri rushed to the center. The medics tried to check on Jamal but he insisted he was fine. He need updates on the injured wolves. Several passed on, but most would survive. He was devastated. He then went to find Logan and saw his mom sitting beside his bed crying. He flashed back to when they lost father. Mother held him inside the circle, howling mournfully as the other wolves looked on. No one tried to comfort her. She could not lose another mate. If Logan didn't survive, he'd lose his mother. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 08 Sunnet sighed. She had no secrets, and no reason to lie. So she took a deep breath and was prepared to tell the truth. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 09 Welcome back, Lionel's gone and the pack deals with loss. Betty has a hard time and Logan is still unconscious. Sunnet gets great news about the case. All characters in this story are above the age of consent. There will be one more chapter written for this part of the series, but don't despair, the story will continue. Happy reading. IR2R Werewolves and Indians Ch. 09 Werewolves and Indians Ch. 09 Ja'Mal needed to speak to the pack, but he made Betty promise him that she would get something to eat and rest. After which, he walked with Marcus back to his home. Marcus spoke to Ja'Mal. "Hey, do you know what you're going to say to the pack?" He queried. Ja'Mal looked at his mentor. "I'm taking your advice and speaking from my heart." Marcus nodded and knew Ja'Mal would be fine. The two talked some more and addressed some of the questions then pack members might ask. He also said that he would not face the pack alone. Marcus had one more thing to discuss. "Um, Ja'Mal, I know this might be a bit awkward, but you and Kerri need to move to the alpha home. You are our now alphas so you should take up your position." Ja'Mal looked nervous. Had he worn out his welcome at Marcus's home? Maybe he was upset over this alpha business. Either way, he thought things were ok. Now he was telling him to move out. He wanted to ask when Marcus noticed the look on his face. "Ja'Mal, come with me." He stated. The two walked to the alpha home, and Marcus let them in. Ja'Mal had to admit the house was magnificent. Marcus showed him around and they stopped in the main office. The two sat in a matching set of wing-backed chairs. The two talked, and soon Ja'Mal agreed. It was time for him and Kerri to assume their true roles. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 10 Welcome, In this chapter some important things happen. Logan and Betty mate. Jacob goes to trial. Jacob and Sunnet discover some truths. The story continues. In chapter 9, I know I said there was one more chapter. However, I must rescind that statement. Chapter 10 is not the final chapter in this story. I hope you enjoy the story and please vote and share your thoughts. All characters in this story are above the age of consent. Happy reading. IR2R Werewolves and Indians Ch. 10 Sunnet drove them to Largesse Boutique, a local store, and Ms. Olivia greeted them. She hugged Serene, so glad to see her. She took Serene to her office and had one of the girls help Sunnet. Sunnet knew the young lady and explained to her that she didn't want anything fancy, just simple. After she tried on several gowns, she found a simple ivory strapless sweetheart lace dress that accented her features perfectly. After looking at herself in several other gowns, Sunnet was speechless when she saw her reflection. The girl that was helping her smiled. Looking at the cost of the dress, Sunnet chose to go with a cheaper version. She was not going to the prom, but shopping made Mom happy. "Wait, before you take the other one, let your Mom see this one." The saleswoman insisted. Ms. Olivia and Mom came out and saw Sunnet in the dress. Serene cried and Ms. Olivia announced that they were having a sale. All prom gowns were 40% off. Serene glowed and Sunnet bought that dress. The prom was the next night, and she knew she was not going. The next evening, Sunnet was home when her mother recalled the dance. "Sunnet, I want to help you with your hair before your date arrives," she told her. Sunnet didn't have a date. She had no intentions of even attending the prom. But for her mother, she'd go along. After a couple of hours, Sunnet was dressed and ready to go. Serene took pictures, and Sunnet posed with Chief Joe. Someone rang the doorbell. "Oh your date is here," Mom said cheerfully. "Joe, let him in." Joe opened the door and Sunnet was floored. Jacob walked in. He wore a black suit with an ivory shirt and tie. He was so nervous, and in that moment Sunnet felt like a princess. He presented her with a beautiful ivory and pink rose corsage for her. She was speechless, and stunned by how handsome he was. "Hello, Sunnet, thank you for allowing me to be your escort tonight." He said. Sunnet had always had a crush on him, and she kept her feelings hidden, but he looked at her and her mask vanished, Jacob smiled, and in that moment things were perfect. Then the doubt returned, He was everything a girl could want. He was probably doing a favor for her father because he felt sorry for her. They left and Jacob held her waist and helped her into his car. "You don't have to do this." She explained. "I know you probably have other things to do. Besides, I know you are doing this as a favor to my father. It's OK Jacob, you can drop me off and I'll find a ride back home." Jacob smiled, "Tonight, I have a date with the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on. Sunnet, you have no idea what this means to me. So if you don't mind, we will go to this school dance and take pictures for your Mom. That is the one request she made of me. Then after wards, I would like for you to spend some time with me. Get to know me." He whispered, his voice so soft. Sunnet forgot to breathe and they arrived at the school. She walked in on his arm and knew they made a spectacular couple. The night started slow, but by the end, she was exhausted and so happy. Jacob wanted to take pictures and they did. Jacob wanted to dance, so he got her on the dance floor. She finally found his one flaw. He was a terrible dancer. Soon they decided to give the other participants a break and sat down. Jacob went to get refreshments for them and several girls came to her table when he left. Some were curious about her relationship with Jacob, but a few of the girls were being catty. Jacob returned, and the girls openly flirted with him. He was not rude, but he let them know that he was with Sunnet. His answer made her heart soar. No one had ever defended her before and she fell for him even more. They talked, and she noticed people watching them. Jacob noticed as well, but he didn't care. He was with Sunnet, and that was all that mattered to him. Soon she wanted to leave. Jacob went to discard their plates when some of the males joined her. Sunnet was polite but firm in refusing their advances. She was relieved when Jacob returned. He made it clear to the boys that Sunnet was his date and if they were smart, they'd back off. They left the school, and Jacob drove to the cliff that over looked the desert. It was on the Hardfoote Ranch, but everyone knew Jacob was friends with the family. He asked her to stand with him and she showed her the night sky. The moon was bright, illuminating the vast desert. Sunnet stood with him, leaning back into his embrace. Jacob held her close. For the first time, since her mother became ill, and the kids at the school decided to hate her, and fear of leaving her parents to go so far to school Sunnet felt safe. Jacob made her feel safe. She yawned, breaking the spell that wove around them. Jacob chuckled, "Let me take you home." He murmured. Jacob drove her home, "Sunnet, you are the most exquisite woman I have ever seen. Thank you again for tonight, maybe one day I can take you out for real." He leaned over and kissed her temple. Sunnet's heart fluttered, and wished her a good night after he walked her to her door. Joe opened the door and greeted them. He spoke with Jacob and bid him a good night. Mom was sleep and the next day, she didn't mention the dance. Sunnet graduated a month after the prom, and the day after graduation, Serene passed away. Her father would not let her stay with him. He insisted that she go and have her life. The pack came by often, Jacob included. Jacob was always there and she lashed out at him. He took it, wishing he could take away her pain. The day she left for college, he came to wish her well. Jacob pulled her to the side and held her for a moment. He didn't make promises. He didn't ask her to stay, but he didn't tell her to go. He just held her close. He told her that she was never alone, that he was always there no matter what. She left and years past. Soon it was hard to come back home. That was almost ten years ago. She would not have come home now. But her father's doctor called and asked her to come. Dad was sick and he needed her. She was only supposed to stay two weeks. Then Jacob was arrested. Dad asked her to go to the precinct and help him. She went immediately and she was glad she did. Jacob needed her and she would not let him down. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 10 When she entered, his eyes pierced her. She smiled. Jacob stood and walked to her. "I have news. Let me order a salad then we need to go to my office to talk," she explained. Jacob nodded as she ordered her lunch. They then said good bye to the group and walked over to her office. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 11 i>Welcome, Things lighten up a bit in this chapter. All of the couples spend time together. The wapjanli shares news with Kerri and Ja'Mal. All characters in this story are above the age of consent. Happy reading. IR2R Werewolves and Indians Ch. 11 One wolf was in charge of meat. She prepared all of the meats, Gertie worked eggs and sides. The next set of wolves worked with berries and fruits. Leaving Patricia and another young lady on drinks and coffee. Patricia was drenched in sweat, as were the other women. He didn't like it and wanted to know why the air conditioning was off. He learned that the kitchen didn't have any. This was something he would rectify. It was too hot for the women to work in such heat. He would also see to it that at least two males were assigned to help with lifting and cleaning. Patricia went about her duties as if he was not there. Marcus smiled. He remembered watching her when he was younger. Patricia looked up and caught him staring. It was déjàvu for them both. The morning went on and one of the girls started preparing rolls. Marcus loved to eat rolls, and so the process fascinated him. He asked a million and one questions. Finally, Gertie had enough of their overzealous help and ordered him out of her kitchen. Marcus was stunned. His mate was head cook and she didn't order him out. Patricia laughed and pulled her perplexed mate into her office. That was all Marcus needed as he kissed her, using every arsenal in his reach to get her to comply and go back home to bed. "Come on baby, Ms. Gertie kicked me out. I'm a pack beta, so punish her and come home. Let her run breakfast this morning." He begged Patricia laughed, "You know she can hear you, right?" she queried. Marcus frowned and called out, "Ms. Gertie did you hear..." "Yes, and for that no rolls for you later this morning Beta Marcus." Gertie declared trying not to laugh. This was what this pack needed. New matings kept the pack alive. They had several lesser ranked Weres to mate, but something about their leaders mating made everything that much better. Marcus rushed out of the office to beg the older wolf's forgiveness and found her laughing with the other females. They ribbed him and he took it in stride. Then they went back to work, preparing breakfast for a hungry pack. Marcus watched awed at the ability of this small group of women. Soon the rolls were done and of course he had to taste one, with Gertie's permission of course. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 12 Welcome, Sunnet goes back to the city. Kerri and Ja'Mal make an announcement. Several potential mothers are found. Daniel accepts that Sunnet is with Jacob. Sad news in the den. All characters in this story are above the age of consent. Happy reading. IR2R Werewolves and Indians Ch. 12 Daniel closed his eyes, "Jacob, please. I know you mean well, but not everyone will meet the other half of their soul. Sunnet is as close as I'm ever going to get and I can live with that. You are here to spend time with her, so enjoy your weekend. I'm fine." He answered and the he picked up his briefs to go to his office. Jacob walked out with him as Emily and her Mom walked up. "Oh and Jacob our anniversary dinner is Saturday, make sure Sunnet brings you." she added. Daniel closed his office door. His mother noticed and decided to talk to her introverted son. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 12 "Close your mouth Daniel." Sunnet teased. "Something might fly in." Daniel frowned. "I'm sorry. I didn't know you knew someone that worked here. Where does she live?' he tried to ask casually. Sunnet laughed. "We grew up in the same town. I don't know her, but I bet Emily will before this party is over." Emily laughed, and she was excited. Her big brother was about to be conquered by a woman. She had to tell mother about this. First however, she needed to get close to one Miss Dina Tallwinds, her future sister. She looked over her brother, his eyes followed the young waitress and she knew he was a goner. The host of the party cleared his throat and the event began. The party lasted two long hours and Daniel drove Sunnet home. Dina Tallwinds, Dina Tallwinds, Dina Tall... He thought the whole time as he drove her home. Jacob walked out to meet Sunnet as she exited his car. Jacob looked at Daniel strangely. He seemed distracted. Sunnet told him bye, he waved at Jacob and drove off. "What was that about?" Jacob asked. A week ago, Daniel stopped by the apartment to talk with them. He apologized for being a drama king, but he did articulate that Sunnet was the one person he considered a friend. He realized that he didn't want to lost their friendship and through transference, his brain made her a romantic conquest. Sunnet was beautiful, but he could not see them together. However, he hoped they could remain friends. Jacob relaxed and Daniel was ok. "Well, he saw a woman that caught his attention. Do you remember Dina Tallwinds?" Sunnet asked. Jacob froze. The last time he saw Dina, Lionel humiliated her. She left town. He blamed himself because he failed to keep Lionel in check. He had shared that story with Sunnet on a visit home when Ja'Mal hired a detective to find Daniel's daughter. Jacob was tired of talking about others, he wanted to pamper his mate. Lifting her, he carried her inside where for the next few hours he took care his woman. Daniel was headed to his house as one dark-haired beauty occupied his brain. His phone rang. It was Emily. "Hello big bro, Dina Tallwinds is single. She lives in the city, near the college. There is one downside. She has a baby." Emily paused. Daniel sighed. "She is involved with the father, right?" Emily smiled, "No, he is out of the picture, but Daniel. A woman with a child is a whole other league. If you aren't serious, leave her be." Daniel sighed but Emily's snooping only made Dina more of a mystery to him. He had to meet this young woman. Dina thought about the handsome man that was with Sunnet. He was so quiet, and few people interacted with him. She knew how that felt. She was often ignored as well. She wanted to just speak to him, but she was working, so no fraternizing. Besides, the guy was a big-time attorney. If things were different she was different, maybe she could attract a man like him. That wouldn't happen. Leona started to fret. Dina lifted her baby and sang her a lullaby. Soon she was sleeping. She kissed her angel and went to bed where in her dreams she met her Mr. Right. It didn't get past her that Mr. Right looked just like the man from the party earlier. Werewolves and Indians Ch. 13 Welcome, Sunnet and Jacob marry. Keamon passes and the wapjanli leaves.
