She could hear her heart pounding in her chest, taste the rage that clogged her senses. She felt herself moving through the trees with the soundless grace of a predator. Every sound grated on her ears, her heightened senses picking up the smallest noises. Then she saw him. The rage overtook her and she pounced, tasted the blood, felt the adrenaline. Jade awoke in a cold sweat, nearly banging her head on the bunk above her. She sat for a moment, breathing deeply and listening to the near silent house. Sensing no danger, she lay back down and sighed. The floppy eared brown dog at her side looked up for a moment, and then calmly went back to sleep. The dreams were becoming more frequent. They frightened and excited her. Left her breathless and wanting. Slowly her hand moved down her abdomen, sliding across her hip as her fingers sought out her center. She moaned loudly, rubbing her clit hard and fast, moving towards an earth shattering orgasm. Biting her lip so hard that she broke the skin, and then moaning louder at the taste of blood. Her muscles tightening, hips lifting off of the bed, she screamed out her pleasure as the waves overtook her. Shuddering softly as she came down. Sucking the juices from her fingers, Jade looked at the clock. Six a.m., Sean would be up. She reached over and picked up the phone. “Hello” a sleepy voice said on the other side of the phone “I thought you would call. Dreams again? Or are they nightmares?” “A little of both.” Jade replied “Can you come over after work? I need you.” The voice on the other end laughed. “No rest for the wicked! How many boxes of condoms should I bring?” “Several.” Jade said with a smile in her voice “I’ll see you then.” “See you.” Sean said hurriedly, and the line went dead. Jade hopped out of bed and pulled on her boyfriend’s tool T-shirt and a pair of faded jeans. “Time for a run R.D.” she yelled as she headed for the door, pulling her one star sneakers on as she walked. The dog lunged out of bed, beating her to the door and sitting in front of his leash with a wildly wagging tail. Needing the run as much as the dog, Jade quickly jumped into the car and drove out to the lake. Maybe the exercise would sap some of the energy she felt coursing through her body. Jade looked at herself in the bathroom mirror as she undressed. Her gaze sliding over her 6’0” form. Running her hands through her short red hair and looking into her bright blue eyes. Not bad she thought, I’ll never be a model but I wouldn’t throw me out of bed. Turning the cold tap on in the shower, Jade grabbed the phone and dialed up her voice mail. “Three missed calls, boy am I popular.” She joked to R.D. as she listened to the first message. Her mother… quickly skipped. The Second message was from an insurance company… delete. The third message was from her dentist. Her smile turned to a puzzled frown as she listened to it. “Judging by the X-rays we took, your wisdom teeth seem to be growing back into your jaw line. And your incisors are growing down. This is a very unusual case and I think that you should consult an oral surgeon. If you would like you can call me back during office hours and I will give you a referral…” Jade hung up the phone and stepped naked into the cold shower. The chilly water hitting her body felt good. It calmed her nerves, even if it couldn’t stop the thoughts that were buzzing in her head. The dreams, her teeth, the anger that flashed within her throughout the day. She tried to make sense of it all, but it wouldn’t come together. Giving up, she jumped out of the shower and curled up in bed. Picking up her copy of Interview with the Vampire, she settled down to read. ***** Sean arrived around five and found Jade sleeping with the book on her chest. She was breathing heavily, struggling with her sleep. As he touched her shoulder she jumped up in bed, her arms reaching out for him immediately to pull him to the floor. Pinning him she began to dig her nails into his wrists. Baring her teeth she stared down into his eyes, and slowly realized where she was. Her grip on his wrists slackened and she opened her mouth to apologize when he moved slightly beneath her. The rage took over and she began to rip his clothes from her body, the feel of his jeans sliding against her naked thighs urging her on. Her nails digging into his flesh as his voice slowly penetrated into her brain. His pleas for her to stop only spurring her on, as finally he was naked. His flesh bared before her gaze. She leaned down and speared her tongue into his mouth, sucking the air from his lungs before moving on to bite into his neck. The taste of his blood flowing over her tongue, his sweat, his fear. Clawing down his sides and across his chest as she slid herself down onto his hard cock. Growling low in her throat as his erection penetrates her. Bucking up and down on top of him as her teeth pierce his shoulder. His hands running over her back gently trying to calm her only anger her more. His moans spurring her on, as her muscles clench around him. Milking him, drawing him into her, slamming her body down onto him as he empties himself into her. Her vision goes red. A cry is torn from her body as she orgasms; her back arched her mouth open. Her body gives one last shudder and she falls on top of him. Crying against his shoulder. “I’m sorry Sean, I don’t know what I was, I don’t understand it…” she sobbed into his shoulder. “Forgive me, please Sean say something.” Slowly stroking her hair, Sean looked into her eyes. “It’s okay Angel, I’m all right. Don’t you worry about me. It’s you I’m worried about.” Looking back into his eyes she realized that he would never understand, and as she slowly got up and left the room. She threw him one last look before she walked out into the night. The Savage Garden Ch. 02 Chapter 2: Unleashed Jade curled up in the branches of a large oak and looked down upon the forest below. Her mind raced with thoughts of what she had just done. She had nearly torn her boyfriend apart, and then when he had tried to understand she had walked out. Walked into the night and blindly sought out this secluded wood. Poor Sean, he would be worried sick. But then what else was there to do. She was protecting him, protecting herself. Where had all of that come from? She could hear sounds from not too far off. The crackling of underbrush made by human feet. Whoever it was, they were moving quickly. Her instincts took over and she sat stock still, ready to pounce. Out of the brush came a woman, running full speed. Her clothes were torn and dirty, and her breathing was ragged. Directly behind her came a man. Jade smelled fear, pain, anger. She dropped down from her perch between the two, and looked into the man's eyes. They were filled with hate, confusion, and rage. She attacked, knocking him to the ground and slashing across his chest with her nails before backing off some to let him get up. He backed away, and she followed slowly. Crouching a few feet away, taunting him. He reached for something in his back pocket and pulled out a knife, its serrated edges shining in the moonlight. Her eyes began to glow as she stepped closer to him, her canines lengthening into fangs. She could smell the blood seeping out of the small wound on his chest, and it drew her to him. Suddenly tired of the game, she moved in quickly to disarm him. The knife flying from his hand as her teeth sunk into his jugular. She made a sound, something between a purr and a growl as blood sprayed into her mouth. They fell to the ground, his body pinned beneath hers, and his struggles slowly lessened and then stopped as she drained the life from his body. She shuddered softly as a bolt of energy raced through her body. Licking the wound clean, she stood slowly and turned towards the woman. The woman was small, barely 5 ft. Her long black hair hung in tangles around her tear stained face, and her slight form trembled as she huddled behind a tree. Jade felt her fangs retract as she walked slowly towards the woman. Smelling the scent of fear she smiled, and spoke. "There is no need to be afraid. He is gone, and I won't hurt you." Her silken voice floated softly on the night air. Causing the small trembling woman to look up and meet her eyes. "Who are you?" the woman replied. "What are you?" Jade laughed. "I am Jade, and as to what I am... I'm still trying to puzzle that one out. I know that I should be disgusted with myself for what I just did. But, like it or not, he was going to kill you. Beggars can't be chosers." Laughing softly the woman replied "So true. He would have killed me, and I really can't complain. My name is Seraphim... Sera for short. What were you doing out here?" "It seems I should ask you the same question. I ran off when I started feeling the need to eat people. Seemed like the sensible thing to do at the time." "I was at a party" Sera started "and I got into a fight with my girlfriend. So I decided to walk home. After a few blocks I noticed that someone was following me. He chased me into the trees, and that's when you showed up." "You got lucky, plain and simple" Jade stated. "Now come on and I will walk you home." On the walk back to Sera's apartment, Jade told Sera the whole story. The night's events had given them a sense of emotional bonding and Jade felt that she could trust Sera with her story. As the truth came out, Sera began to look puzzled and then a little frightened. Finally she stopped at a small building and said "This is me. Would you like to come in? I don't quite feel like being alone right now." Jade followed Sera into a small apartment. Chaos obviously reigned supreme in Sera's life. The room was a complete mess. Feeling at home, Jade flopped onto the couch. "So what do you think" She asked? "You know as much as I do now." Sera walked into an adjoining room and came back holding a small leather bound book. "I think I can help. Here look at this." She opened the book and flipped through the pages then sat it down in Jade's lap. "This is one of Diana's books. She lent it to me a few weeks ago." As she looked down at the page, Jade made a mental note that Sera's girlfriend had an odd taste in literature. "A Werecat is a humanoid mutation, half-human and half-beast, which feeds off of the rage, fear, pain, and blood of humans. These creatures are dangerous when in their were form, but pass as normal people when in their human form. Many Werecats do not know their true nature, and may not change until late in life. The change may be very painful, and cause violence, disorientation, and amnesia at times. These beasts keep many of their human traits, and can be dangerously cunning as well as compassionate at times. The change is normally brought on by situations of extreme stress, danger, or pain, and can also be brought on consciously at the will of the being." Jade finished reading the passage aloud and looked up at Sera. "Well, that explains some things. It doesn't tell me what my next move is though. You would think it could be a little more helpful." Just then the telephone rang and Sera ran to grab it before the machine picked up. "Hello. Yes, hold on a moment okay." She looked over at Jade. "I have an idea. If you will trust me." Jade nodded "I trust you." "Diana" Sera continued "we have a problem. I need you here. Come prepared, I have supernatural company. See you in ten." And with that she hung up the phone. "This isn't really my area, but Di will know what to do." The door opened a few moments later and a small woman with short soft red hair and green eyes hidden behind glasses strode into the room. Her black tank top and jeans clung to her curvy figure and her knee-high boots beat out a tempo against the tile as she walked. Seeing Jade, she stopped dead in her tracks. There was a half-naked woman sitting in her girlfriend's apartment, and the woman's eyes were glowing. Jade stood up from the couch with the silent grace of a cat, and smiled. "I'm Jade, and Sera thinks that you can help me with something." With that she stood and stepped back, concentrating on the darkness inside of her. Feeling her fangs grow, and her body start to hum. She lifted her glowing blue eyes to Di's startled green ones, and let the anger fade. "According to this book" she pointed to the open book sitting on the coffee table " I am a Werecat. The book explained some things, but it really doesn't tell me what to do about it." The girls sat close together poring over books for hours, and scouring the Internet for information. They couldn't seem to come up with much more than what they already had. By three in the morning they had decided to take a break and get some rest. Jade wanted to leave, but Di said it was out of the question. There was no telling what would happen if Jade got loose and found herself in a bad situation. So they all curled up on Sera's living room floor, and dropped off to sleep. Jade awoke in the middle of the night to the sounds of even breathing. Di had her leg thrown over Jade's hip and Sera was curled up against Jades other side. The heat from their bodies was making Jade sweat, but as she tried to move out from under them Di stirred and opened her eyes. "What's wrong?" she asked immediately. "It's hot in here." Jade whispered "And having you two so close is making me antsy." "Antsy?" Sera asked opening her eyes and sitting up. "How so?" Blushing, Jade replied. "I'm getting sexually excited. I think it's the cat in me coming out. I'm trying to control it, but the control is slipping." Di and Sera looked into each other's eyes, and then silently nodded. "We want to help." Di said. And with that she leaned in and began to kiss Jade. Her tongue slipping into Jade's mouth as Sera's teeth scraped against Jade's neck. A groan slipped from between Jade's lips as she sank back to the floor, Di following her as Sera stood and removed her clothing. The moonlight shining through the window lit on her pale skin, and shadows danced across her body as she lay back down and slid Jade's shirt up and over her head. Di stripped off her underwear and tank top and rejoined them on the floor. Her lips slid slowly across Jade's collarbone and down until they captured a nipple. Biting softly, her hands began to roam across Jade's stomach. Sera's lips softly brushing against Jade's in a tender kiss. Jade began to feel hot all over. She felt the change begin, and she resisted. Trying to maintain control, but it was too late. She dug her nails into Di's back and arched up off of the floor, sucking Sera's tongue into her mouth and scraping her teeth over it. A whimper escaped her throat as Di's fingers found her clit and began to rub it gently. Sera slid up and straddled Jade's face as Di buried two fingers inside of Jade's heated body and began to stroke inside of her. Gripping Sera by the hips, her nails digging into flesh, her grip bruising, Jade slid her tongue along Sera's pink slit. Finding Sera's clit, Jade latched on and began to suck, sinking her teeth slightly into Sera's flesh. Di slid lower and rolled her tongue against Jade's outer lips, dipping it in slightly then withdrawing. They adjusted themselves slightly, and formed a chain. Sera's mouth licking and sucking on Di, as Di did the same to Jade, and Jade's tongue speared in and out of Sera. A shiver went through Jade as Di's teeth sank into her thigh, drawing blood. She doubled her efforts on Sera's clit as she felt her orgasm begin to wash over her. The intense sucking caused Sera's body to tighten with release, and tasting it on her tongue Jade sank her fangs into Sera's skin on either side of her clit. Drinking in her pleasure as Sera's body convulsed once again. Di sat up and watched as Jade licked at the wounds she had made and held the shivering Sera. Sera sank down onto a pillow and sighed contented. Almost drifting off into sleep as she watched Jade and Di. Looking up at Di, Jade smiled. Suddenly she pounced, her mouth seeking out Di's. Sharing the taste of blood mingled with cum. Di let Jade push her to the floor. The feelings of power coming off of Jade's body making her hair stand on end. She cried out as Jade's tongue slid inside of her, tasting her. Her fingers seeking out her clit, she began to slowly roll it between her fingers as Jade tongue fucked her. Wanting to give back to Di what she had been given, Jade curled her tongue inside of Di's warm tunnel and sucked. The pressure from Jade's tongue and her own fingers became too much for Di. She screamed and convulsed, liquid sliding into Jade's mouth as Di came hard on her tongue. Di smiled softly and motioned for Jade to come lie in between her and Sera. Licking her lips Jade slid between the two women and fell asleep. She was satisfied... for now. The Savage Garden Ch. 03 Jade awoke to the sound of a ringing phone. Stretching, she realized that the girls were no longer with her. Her eyes opened slowly and she saw Sera in the kitchen, her hand on the receiver as she answered the phone. She smiled at Jade as she murmured an assent into the phone and hung up. “That was Di. She went out this morning for supplies, and she wants us to meet her somewhere. Come take a shower and I’ll find you some clothes.” After taking a shower and donning a tight black halter, a pair of tan shorts, and flip-flops Jade joined Sera in the living room. Giving her a quick once over, Sera nodded and directed Jade out the door and to a black mustang parked outside. “This is Di’s car.” Sera explained. “She took a cab this morning.” Jade jumped into the car and they headed out onto the highway. The wind whipping through her hair gave Jade a delicious feeling of freedom as they headed out of the city. Trees slowly began to replace buildings, and Sera exited the highway and turned down a small dirt road. The winding road quickly turned into nothing but a track leading into the woods, and Sera parked the car. Looking around her Jade saw nothing but trees, and a small almost hidden path leading into them. Closing her eyes, she breathed in the air and scented Di not so very far off. Without even bothering to ask Sera, she headed down the path. Di was sitting in the middle of a clearing talking to a nude man. The man was tall, nearly 6’5” with long black hair and piercing hazel eyes. His body was strong and toned, his skin evenly tanned. As he smiled at them, Jade and Sera saw long sharp fangs glitter in the sunlight. Getting to her feet, Di smiled at them and began to speak. “Jade, Sera, this is Darion. Jade, Darion is a were. I thought that he might be able to help explain some of the things that I couldn’t, but I had quite a time finding him.” Speaking up, Darion interrupted. “I live out here, in the forest. I have a cabin not too far off, but I am rarely there.” His voice, smooth as silk flowed over Jade as he looked her over. “She’s a half were.” He stated. “One of her parents must have been mundane. She could fully change, if she had some training. But as things are she doesn’t have the power.” Looking over at Di he grinned. “I’ll take her.” Not liking the sound of this, Jade piped up. “What! Just like that? What am I chattel? Don’t I have a choice in this?” “Not if you want to figure out how to live with what you are.” Di replied. “You can’t just keep skulking around in parks. Right now you have only been gone a couple of days. What happens when someone comes looking for you? What about your job? You need to figure out how to balance things, and Darion is the best person to teach you.” Thinking it over for a moment, Jade nodded. “What do I have to do?” Putting down the book she had been reading, Jade stretched. After kissing Di, and Sera goodbye, she had been taken to Darion’s cabin. The cabin was more like a large two-story house than anything else. Set back into the woods, it enjoyed complete privacy. Darion showed Jade to a well-furnished bedroom, with attached bath, and pointed to some bags sitting on the bed. “Di left those for you. Get acquainted with the house, and then meet me in the library. Down the stairs, first door on the left. I have to go set up a lesson plan.” And with that Darion was gone, leaving Jade to explore her new surroundings. The room was beautiful in a simple woodsy way. The bed was large, and made of oak. The comforter a very pleasing quilt of green, white, and pink. There was a matching dresser, a large hanging mirror, and a desk with chair. The floor was covered in green and white carpets, and on the walls there were paintings of nymphs and dryads. Moving towards the bed, Jade opened the first bag. Inside she found Shampoo, conditioner, soap, razors, a hairbrush, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and lotion. Opening the second bag she found that Di had bought her new clothing, three pairs of relaxed blue jeans, a package of men’s plain black T-shirts, Two bras, five pairs of thong underwear, a package of socks, a large green hooded pullover, a jean tube top, a pair of tan shorts, and three tank tops (blue, green, and pink) came out of the bag. Pulling the last bag towards her, Jade smiled as a note fell out. “Hope you like the clothes, not too many stores in the area. Give us a call as soon as you are properly settled in, and let us know how you are. All of our love, Di and Sera” Grinning, Jade opened up the last bag, and found a pair of hiking boots, a pair of comfortable converse sneakers, and a box containing a prepaid cell phone and charger. She would definitely have to thank Di soon. Changing into a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt, Jade skipped barefoot down the stairs and entered the library. And since then it had been nothing but books, piles of them. Darion had insisted that she read about the history of her people, their capabilities, and their traditions. It was now nearly three in the morning, and Darion was nowhere to be found. She had searched the house, but he was gone. Curling up on the couch to wait for him, Jade slowly dozed off. Entering the library after a night of hunting, Darion found Jade sleeping soundly on a leather couch. She looked so peaceful lying there, she must have been exhausted poor thing. He reached down to wake her, just as she opened her eyes. Seeing Darion standing over her she relaxed and smiled. “Where did you go?” she asked in a soft voice, looking like nothing more than a sleepy kitten. “I looked for you, but you weren’t here.” “I went out to catch some dinner.” He replied. “Are you hungry?” Just then Jade’s stomach growled, and laughing they both headed towards the kitchen. On the table sat several rabbits, neatly skinned and prepared for cooking. Darion began to cut the meat into slivers, and placed it in a pan along with some wild herbs that he had picked. He pulled out a pot and began to boil water in preparation for making long-grained rice. Jade’s jaw dropped. She hadn’t been expecting this. Gorgeous, single, well read, and he could cook. What had Di gotten her into? Seeing the expression on Jades face, Darion pointed to a chair at the table and sat down across from her. “We might as well talk, the food is going to take a few. I want to know about you, where you come from, who your parents are, what’s important to you? Tell me.” Sitting down opposite him, Jade began slowly. “I was born in San Diego, California. My name is Jade Devlyn O’Connor. Both of my parents died when I was four. Their names were Aslyn and Brian O’Connor. I was raised in Oceanside by an aunt on my father’s side of the family. My mother didn’t have any living relations. My aunt Clear was good to me, and when I turned eighteen she handed over my parent’s life insurance to me and sent me out into the world. She died shortly after that, nearly two years ago. She had a heart attack. I now live in Boulder, I guess I wanted to get away from the West Coast. Too many bad memories.” As she finished she looked up into his eyes, and saw understanding and sympathy. Standing and returning to the stove, Darion poured the rice into the boiling water and stirred the meat around a bit. After returning to his seat, he began to speak. “My name is Darion Bane. I was born and grew up in Boulder. My parents are Desmond, and Seline Bane. Di’s family is well acquainted with mine. We grew up together. Both of my parents are were. My father is a Wolf, and my mother is a Cougar. A half like you. That’s how I knew. I grew up knowing what I might become, but I didn’t change until I was fourteen. Even then it was hard. I can’t imagine what it must have been like for you. My parents own this house. They visit every so often. When I started to change they took me here for training, and for safety. I’ve lived her permanently for the past three years. I run a web design business from here, and drive out to the post office once a week to pick up my checks.” Stopping he again turned to the stove. “Dinners ready.” After they had eaten, Darion walked Jade up to her bedroom. “Sleep sweet kitten.” He said with a smile. “We have a lot of work to do tomorrow.” Closing the door, Jade curled up in her bed, and with a smile on her face fell quickly asleep…. (More to come *wink*) 2003 Copyright © Jenna_In_Dreamland The Savage Garden Ch. 04 Jade’s laughter echoed through the trees as she played chase with Darion. It had been a long week, filled with reading and training exercises that left her exhausted. This morning Darion had taken one look at her and called off the daily training, saying that she needed to spend some time unwinding. The picnic had been her idea. Jade skid to a halt in front of the picnic basket and flopped down onto the blanket. “Darion, do you ever regret coming out here? Leaving the rest of the world behind and secluding yourself the way you do?” She asked timidly as he flopped down beside her. “No my kitten,” He responded,” It isn’t really safe for us out there. If there is one thing I’ve learned from studying history books, it’s that we can’t just walk around like everyday people. Sooner or later, somebody is going to catch on. And when they do we might just have a repeat of the Inquisition. I wish that things were different, but they aren’t. Look at how hard it is to be a Pagan. There are always people waiting to drag you down, because they don’t understand you. Di deals with that every day. Imagine what those kinds of people would do if they found out what you really were. It’s disgusting, but it’s also reality.” “I know.” Jade whispered. “I know all of that, but I still miss it. I miss knowing who I am and where I stand. Right now it’s all just a jumble. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life isolated, afraid to trust people because they mind just stab me in the back. I don’t want to live in the constant fear of discovery. It isn’t fair.” “I know that, but sometimes we don’t have a choice. Think of the good that you can do. If you hadn’t been there, Sera would be dead. You saved a life. This is a curse and a gift Jade. It just depends on which way you look at it, and what you do with the time that you are here on earth. Look inside of yourself, what do you feel?” Darion asked as he looked deeply into her eyes. “I feel strength, strength and need. But I also feel fear, and pain, and insecurity.” Jade sighed. “I just don’t know if at the end of the day I’m going to be strong enough to take this.” “Trust me Jade. If I didn’t think that you were strong enough I would never have agreed to train you. Now how about we work on changing completely. Now is as good a time as any.” Jade shrugged and stood up. Breathing in time with Darion, she closed her eyes and concentrated on the need she felt, and embraced the hunger. Her body began to move as if fluid as she began to change into the form of a large cat. She pushed harder, willing herself to complete the change. She felt Darion’s hand on her shoulder and a new strength filled her. “I can do this!” she said to herself, and the change was complete. She sensed Darion moving, and suddenly he was beside her in his were form. He nuzzled her neck once and ran off into the trees. She followed. Jade could sense him ahead of her. She could feel him moving. And then she heard his voice inside of her head. “Come to me.” The voice said. “Come to me, and I’ll show you what it’s like.” “Coming!” Jade thought back, and then she was upon him. He was standing next to a lake, looking down at his reflection. She stopped as her paws reached the water, and looked down to see herself this way for the first time. She was beautiful. Strong, and powerfully built. Sleek fur covering tightly wired muscle, and piercing eyes giving a hint to the intelligence behind them. “I feel so free.” She thought to Darion. “I never imagined that it would feel like this. Before it was just anger, and hunger, and pain. Now, it’s beautiful.” “Come with me, my kitten.” He thought back. “I want you to see something. I think that you are finally ready.” Darion began to sprint back towards the house, leaving Jade to follow. When they reached the front steps, he slid back into his human form, and without a thought Jade found herself doing the same. Darion smiled. “The change back comes easier doesn’t it? With time you will be able to do both without effort.” He led her into the kitchen and pulled up a trap door. “Down here.” He jumped down into the basement and held up his hands to catch her. Jade bit her lip and jumped into his arms. Setting her onto the floor he switched a light on, and took her over to a desk that sat in the corner. Pulling out a folder he motioned for her to sit, and dropped it into her lap. “Look through these. I will be back in a few hours.” And with that he was back up through the trap door and out of the house. Jade thumbed through the folder. Newspaper articles, magazine clips, and photographs. Headlines that read “Murder Suspect Found Bound and Gagged in Local Graveyard”, “Child Molester Found Dead in Estes Park After he Escaped From Prison”, “Young Kidnap Victim Saved by Unknown Man”. The list went on. Jade read through all of the articles, she remembered these stories. The fourteen year old kidnap victim had said that a large man had burst into the room where she was being held, and knocked her attacker unconscious. She said that he had been so fast that she could barely see him move, and that after dropping her off at the local police station he had vanished. Her parents had called the rescuer a guardian angel and had offered the man a reward of twenty thousand dollars if he would surface to claim it. He never did. Then the realization hit her. Darion… He had done all of this. Setting the folder back onto the desk, Jade found a small ladder and climbed back up into the kitchen. Darion was sitting at the table, waiting for her response. Jade sat down across from him. “Is that how you live with it? Is that how you deal with the hunger?” “Yes,” He whispered. “I channel it, use it to help others. I told you that it was a gift kitten. Maybe it isn’t a gift to me, but it’s a gift to the people who would have died if I hadn’t been there. I wanted to tell you, but I didn’t know how you would react. I just couldn’t chance it before.” “And now?” Asked Jade. “I had to know.” Darion looked into her eyes and reached for her hands. “I had to know if you could live with who I really am. I want you to stay here, with me. Being with you this past week has made me realize that I don’t have to deal with this alone. I want to share it with you, all of it. If you will let me.” Darion held his breath and waited for her answer. Jade just stood up from the table and pulled him out of the kitchen and up the stairs into his room. As she pushed him down onto the bed she whispered “For now, my love, and for always.” Her hands ran over his body as they began to move together in the age-old sensual dance that they both knew so well. Their clothes fell to the floor as they explored each other’s bodies. Jade gasped as he slid inside of her, and the rest of the world disappeared. There was nothing but the feel of him, the taste of him, the sound of his breathing. Working together as one they reached out for the waves of pleasure they felt building. As the waves came crashing down, a howl split the silence of the sleeping forest, and a whispered promise sifted on the wind. “For now, my love, and for always.” (Please vote, and send feedback if you would like to hear more! Thanks! J….) 2003 Copyright © Jenna_In_Dreamland The Savage Garden Ch. 05 The scent was growing stronger, and Jade could pick up the low hushed sound of weeping. She came to the edge of the trees and looked down on the small cabin nestled into the mountainside. The windows were shaded, but she could hear voices inside. She slowly slunk up to the side of the cabin and listened. She could make out four voices, three men arguing and a woman whimpering in a back room. Jade slowly made her way back into the trees and let out a piercing cry. The cry was answered by a howl, and a voice in her head. “How many?” “Three men, and the missing woman,” Jade replied. The three men are in the front room and the woman is being held in the back. Darion let out another howl. Jade answered with another scream and soon they had their voices echoing off of the mountainside, coming from all directions. The door to the cabin opened and a man looked out, he scanned the darkness and then closed the door. Jade slunk back to the cabin and listened once again. She could smell the fear of the occupants. The kidnappers were getting edgy. She turned to see Darion approaching the tree line. “All set?” she asked. “No time like the present.” he replied and began running full force towards the door. Jade moved around the back of the cabin and changed back into human form. She eases her fingers under the edge of a window and pulled, the squeak of the window opening were drowned out by the sound of screams and gunfire coming from the front of the cabin. She slid inside the cabin and closed her eyes, trying to focus on the whimpering sounds the woman was making. They were coming from a closet on the far wall. As Jade opened the closet the woman tackled her. They fell to the floor in a pile of arms and legs, wrestling around with Jade finally ending up on top. “Stop it ” Jade whispered. “I’m going to get you out of here but I can’t do that if you fight me.” The woman instantly stilled and looked up at her. Jade found herself looking down into a pair of tear filled blue eyes. “Damn,” Jade thought, “she’s hysterical.” But as it slowly dawned on the woman that she was being rescued she calmed. Her heart slowed and she breathed evenly. Jade pulled the woman to her feet and pointed to the window. “I will go out first to make sure that it is safe and then I will pull you through.” The woman nodded as Jade slid out the window. The front of the cabin became suddenly, eerily quiet. Jade waited a moment for the all clear from Darion, and then pulled the woman out the window and guided her back into the trees. ~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~` Jade sat next to Darion in their kitchen, drinking her morning coffee and reading the paper. The front page headline read “Kidnap Victim Saved by Mysterious Stranger.” Jade smiled as she read the woman’s account of her rescue. Just as Jade had requested few details had been given about her appearance. The woman was quoted as having said that it seemed as if she had been saved by the forest itself. That she had heard animals attack the kidnappers, and that she couldn’t remember the features of the woman who had rescued her and only had a vague sense of her voice. Setting down the paper she turned to Darion. “So this is it huh? This is what it feels like to save a life? I feel like there should be more... something... it’s all sort of anticlimactic.” Darion reached up to run his fingers through her hair and grinned. “Well, if it’s a climax you’re looking for...” his eyes darted towards the stairs leading up to their bedroom. Jade leaned in and gently brushed her lips against his ear while whispering “Race you!” The two bounded up the stairs together, falling in a heap on the bed. Their clothes began to fly across the room as they tore at each other, lips locked together in an almost feral kiss. Jade’s nails dug into Darion’s ribs as his teeth bit into her shoulder. Small whimpering sounds filled the room. Within moments they were naked and panting, wrestling for position. Darion growled as he pinned her to be bed, and as he slid inside of her he whispered “Mine!” Their eyes locked as he slowly began to stroke back and forth. His hands holding hers above her head, her legs wrapped around his waist. Panting, sweating as he picked up speed. Sliding out, and then back in with a growl. “Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!” Jade began to writhe beneath him, completely losing control of her body as her eyes rolled back. “No!” he whispered fiercely, “Look at me... I want to see your eyes when I take you over the edge.” Her teeth dug into her bottom lip as she faut to maintain eye contact. His eyes began to glow as he again picked up speed, thrusting into her harder and faster until all she could do was moan. She felt the tension building inside of her. Her stomach tensed and she held on, balanced on the edge until with one last thrust he let go inside of her. She saw the sparks fly inside of his eyes as she lost control. Her body pulsing around him as he filled her. He collapsed on top of her and they lay sweaty and panting. Their bodies tangled in the sheets. “Well... I hope that was climactic enough for your tastes.” He whispered on a chuckle as he licked the sweat off of her neck. Jade stretched beneath him and closed her eyes. “Well that ought to hold me over until lunch.” She grinned and snuggled closer to him as she drifted off to sleep.
