She looked out to the dance floor towards the mass of human bodies dancing to the rhythm of some new song, blasting out from cleverly hidden speakers. Two men sitting at other end of bar were checking her out. She always seemed to have that effect on men; though she wished she didn't. She watched as one of the two men got up and started to approach her. She shook her head in a silent no towards him and then turned her body away from him. She prayed that he would take the hint and understand. But she knew that human men were an arrogant lot bursting with self-importance. She soon enough felt the warm breathe near her ear and heard, "Would you like to dance baby doll?" the man slurred. Trixie turned to face him and saw that the man was looking at her body parts in a covert manner. She replied, "No, Thank you." But the man was not to be easily deterred. He said, "Aww, Come on baby. Don't be like this. I will show you a world of pleasure." This time Trixie noted that he glanced down her breasts concealed in t-shirt in a very obvious manner. Trixie's eyes turned hard and she replied, "I said no." Her voice had gone flat as she sought to control her temper. She knew she couldn't let loose her powers on this man, even though she wanted to. This time the man seemed to understand. He replied menacingly, "I was doing you a favour. You are not even pretty as it is." and slumped away to his friend. The two of them conversed for a while and left. Trixie sighed and continued to nurse her drink. _______________________ Jade: Jade entered Club Fiesta and spotted Trixie at once. She sauntered her way to Trixie. She could feel waves of stress emanating from her. Jade paused as some random man approached Trixie. Jade narrowed her eyes and watched the interaction between the two of them. The guy turned away and made his way back to his friend. "Sometimes I feel that you ought to be psychic of the coven." Jade murmured in Trixie's ear. Startled Trixie looked up to see Jade standing over her, smiling to herself. "Psychic?" asked Trixie confused. "You knew that man was going to come over, didn't you?" "That wasn't some psychic mumbo-jumbo; merely years of observation." Trixie replied, "You don't need to worry. You are still our most valuable asset." "Speaking of assets, how do I look? Doesn't this dress show all of my assets very nicely?" Trixie shook her head and murmured to her, "One whole century later and still no curbing that vanity." Jade prodded Trixie and laughed loudly. But suddenly she stopped, the green in her eyes expanding briefly. Jade went so still that she looked like a statue. Trixie knew at once that Jade was 'watching' something in future. So she waited patiently till Jade came back to normal. Jade narrowed her eyes and said, "Trixie, honey, I think you should leave your car in parking lot tonight. I will drop you home." "That man is waiting for me in parking lot, isn't he?" "Both of them are." corrected Jade. "I will handle it." Trixie replied confidently. "Are you sure?" asked Jade, "You do know that if any mystic being is present in this town, they will sense us, don't you? You do know the extent of your powers? I don't want to leave this town so soon. We may have to though if a suspicious dead body turns up." "I know how to control my temper. Besides if he doesn't find me there, he might decide to take another woman or girl. I can't let it happen, not on my watch." Jade sighed knowing there wouldn't be any budging on this topic. "What's going to happen on your watch?" asked a voice near them. Both girls jumped out of their skins. ________________________ Liz: "What's going to happen on your watch?" asked Liz. She watched as both of them startled. Smirking to herself, Liz sat down in the seat vacant to left of Trixie. "Yeesh! Cut that out Liz." Jade complained. Liz had a way of 'cloaking' her presence; so that neither humans nor super naturals had a way of being aware of her presence until she wanted them too. It was an amateurish thing but since she had been alive for only twenty years, it was the only best power available at her disposal and so she made use of it often than was necessary. She was not as powerful as Jade; with her psychic abilities and nowhere near as powerful as Trixie; with her ability to manipulate physical objects. Both Jade and Trixie were almost hundred years older so they could do a variety of stuff. Liz was lucky to be under their wing. Liz's mother had died when she was 10 years old and left her with the coven with no knowledge of witchcraft whatsoever. Trixie and Jade had decided that they would bring her up and teach her witchcraft so that she would be able to join their coven. Liz had learnt all the spells with her heart in it. She was grateful for their protection and love. Liz smiled up at Trixie. She liked Trixie best. She was in awe of someone as powerful as her. Trixie's eyes always seemed to soften whenever she saw Liz. In many ways, Liz was an exact copy of her mother. Liz didn't know it yet, but she was way powerful than her simple spell of cloaking her presence. Liz frowned when no one said anything. Jade replied after a pause, "A man." Two simple words were enough to make Liz understand that some human man must have tried to hurt one of them. A look at Trixie's face confirmed it. Liz dreaded what was going to happen. "Will we have to move from this town?" she asked softly. Trixie looked at her and laughed softly. "Oh ye of little faith..." "Don't worry. I won't kill him. Now go enjoy on dance floor. I am going to parking lot." Trixie winked and left. _________________ Unknown to the three, they were being observed by two pair of interested eyes and ears. Jack had caught a whiff of her scent when he walked in the door. It was not a werewolf but nor a human either. He was staring at her deciding whether to approach or not, when a man made his way towards her. He saw her brush him off but nevertheless a growl left his lips. Sam looked at his brother in a confused way but saw him staring at a woman. Shrugging Sam went and sat on a table facing the bar. Jack joined him but his eyes were on the woman, who was joined by another woman. When Sam decided what to order, he turned to Jack and saw that his eyes were wide and confused. Frowning Sam turned to where the woman was and used his werewolf's sense of hearing. He was surprised when a third woman, no it was a girl, seemed to materialize out of nowhere near the two of them and suddenly Sam's whole attention was focused on the third girl. Jack growled again, low in his throat. But with enough volume that Sam heard. Jack turned to face Sam and said, "I am going to follow her out of here. I will meet you on pack grounds." Before Sam could say anything, Jack was out of his seat heading out. ___________________________ Jack followed the woman called Trixie in parking lot. Trixie had paused on her way. Trixie glanced at the car parked two rows down the left. She smelled one of those human there and another on right side in a van. Trixie purposefully made her walk casual and started forward. As expected the van came forward and she was pushed inside. Jack growled and rushed forward but stopped after four steps. The van was not moving away; in fact, there were various shouts of men coming from inside then after a while there was a gurgle and sound cut off. Jack rushed forward and threw open the van's doors; what he saw, surprised him. Jack saw that those two men were divested of their clothes and their cocks were down each other's throats and they seemed to be struggling to remove them but they couldn't. There was however, no sign of Trixie. Suddenly he felt a knife point on his back. Trixie asked, "Are you their friend?" Jack laughed, "No. I saw them push you in van and wanted to save you. But it seems that you are capable of taking care of yourself." "Turn around." Trixie was incensed at his laughter but wary of the power coming of his body in waves. She could sense that he was not human. Jack turned slowly and saw that she was holding a nail file. He laughed, "That won't be able to hurt me." "Not on its own, but the things I could do with it would surely hurt." "I trust you. Hi, I am Jack." "I am Trixie. You should probably close the door. The spell will be broken by third person's touch." Jack closed the door and said, "Spell? So you are a witch or something?" "Yes, you are... what exactly?" Trixie asked. "I am a werewolf. Our pack resides in deep forests on the outskirts of the city. Would you like to visit? We would probably benefit from each other." "No. I have two other people with me and we..." "They are welcome too." Jack cut her off. "Fine." Trixie huffed, "Let's ask them. Come on." Both of them headed inside Club Fiesta once more. The Coven Ch. 01 Trixie: She had agreed to go inside with him. However, it was not to get her friends and go with him to some pack grounds. It was a public place; she could just grab her friends and get the hell out of there. But some part of her mind didn't think that she was going to get rid of him that easily. Once inside, her eyes made a quick scan of the room to see that Liz was dancing with some guy and seemed happy. Jade was kissing and grinding against some guy right in middle of dance floor. Trixie thought of running by herself. She knew she could contact them and let them know she was safe. They would not be in any harm, here in public. As soon as Trixie thought of this, Jack entwined his hand with hers. Trixie looked up at Jack and saw that he wasn't even looking at her; it seemed an unconscious gesture on his part. Trixie tried to pull her hand back but Jack was already pulling her forward to the dance floor. "What are you doing? I don't want to dance." Trixie protested. Jack flashed her small smile. Jack soon stopped and said to the person dancing with Liz, "Sam, we need to go home. I have to talk with you." Sam took a look at Trixie and then looked at Liz. Trixie could see that he didn't want to leave her. Something about Sam seemed familiar to Trixie. It wasn't until she looked in his eyes that she saw it. His eyes were same as Jack's. She understood they were brothers, if not, certainly related which meant he was a werewolf too. Trixie realised that she couldn't just run now, after all she couldn't just leave Liz. She looked over at Jade and focused on her. Jade turned her head abruptly. Mentally, Trixie conveyed whole situation to her. Jade sashayed her way to them. "Hey guys, I am Jade." She said to men. Both men replied her in kind. "Shall we leave?" asked Jack. His hold on Trixie's hand briefly tightened. Trixie started to pull his hand behind his back. She knew three of them could best two wolves. But Jade caught her mid action and 'sent' three pictures to Trixie. One where Liz and Sam were getting married, second in which Liz was facing her mom's killer and third with Liz pregnant with Sam's arms around her while he gazed adoringly at her. Liz and Sam were soul mates, Trixie realized. "That doesn't explain why he is holding my arm." Trixie conveyed her irritation mentally. Jade just laughed lightly. They walked towards the men's car. Jack paused briefly, looking down at Trixie he said, "We will send someone to get your cars once we reach pack grounds." Trixie rolled her eyes and replied, "Watch me." She turned towards the cars and raised her free hand. The cars revved to life. "How..." Sam began. Trixie heard Liz shushing him, "She needs to concentrate while using spells for moving heavy objects so that they don't smash into anything." Jack was looking down at Trixie. He silently tugged her towards his car and slipped in backseat. Sam's eyes bulged. His brother, so fond of taking control while driving; was actually sitting in backseat. Jade too slipped inside. Trixie lowered her hand but closed her eyes, the look on her face of deep concentration. Sam quietly started the car and in a minute they were cruising down the road to outskirts of forest. Trixie had her eyes closed the entire time and was concentrating on getting the cars behind them through traffic. However Jack's hand in hers was quite distracting and she almost lost control twice. In about an hour or so, Trixie heard Jack murmur, "We must stop now." Trixie concentrated a moment longer and parked her and Jade's car behind Sam's neatly. "That was an interesting trick." Jack commented pulling her out of car. Trixie opened her eyes to retort but stopped short. The scene in front of her was astounding as was the smell of power in air. Creatures of various types were moving here and there out of the small cottage in the middle of an open ground. Few women came out of cottage, divested themselves of their clothes and changed into wolves and began running inside the surrounding forests. Trixie could smell no fear from them just plain happiness and fun. "They are going for hunting in forest. They are gatherers." Jack replied. Trixie looked up at him. He was looking at the direction the female wolves went and smiling proudly. He started moving them in general direction of cottage. Trixie next saw a small man coming around the house with a wheel barrow. He had a small beard and rather long, beak-shaped nose. "That is Greg. He is an elf." Sam pointed. The elf glanced towards them at his name and stopped his barrow. He bowed down to Jack and said, "My Alpha!" Jack smiled and nodded. The elf then hurriedly moved out of the group's way. Jack started towing Trixie towards the house. Trixie however resisted, "You are an Alpha?" "Yes." Jack replied, cocking his head to side wondering what could be bothering her. "Would you leave my hand Alpha Jack?" Trixie asked. Jack smiled beatifically and left her hand. However instead of feeling relieved Trixie felt a bit sad. She couldn't understand the feelings coursing through her. All of them entered the cottage and Trixie gasped. The cottage simply couldn't be that big on inside. And yet it was. It was three storeys high and yards and yards wide. Trixie rubbed her eyes and still she could see the same view. It was surprising, the amount of power Trixie could smell hear as if more of the supernatural creatures were housed here than was originally given away by the smell outside. Jack turned to the nearest door and opened it. He motioned others inside. Trixie was feeling a bit wary of Jack. However she knew that Sam will not let them get hurt, at the very least he will protect Liz. There were many people here. Some sitting in groups chatting animatedly, small kids huddled in front of a TV set while some just lying idly by the fire place. The noise all stopped as soon as they entered the room. People acknowledged Jack and then went back to their tasks. Jack motioned the group to follow him to another room. Once inside he turned to face three women and said, "How would you like to live here?" He always cut down the crap and addressed the point in hand or so it seemed. "Live here?" Trixie questioned surprised, "Why will we want to?" "Why won't you?" Jack replied, "Here you don't have to hide your powers from any one you could freely use them and you will never have to keep moving from place to place. Everyone knows that staying in one place with a group of people that are of similar kind is far better than moving to different places each time anybody suspects one of being abnormal. Also we have enough space to hold at least a hundred. This whole place is magically enhanced to accommodate many different kinds of creatures." ___________________ Jack: Jack was growing anxious by the time he finished speaking. What if she didn't think like that? What if she enjoyed moving to new places and meeting new people? He couldn't leave his pack without him. He was the pack's Alpha for god sake. Yet on other hand he couldn't come to be without her. He loved her. Love her? Jack shook his head. What was he thinking? You cannot love a person you met an hour ago. But something about her definitely seemed to be calling out to him. She was powerful, no doubt about that, yet she looked fragile like one wrong word could hurt her and send her running from him. "What do you want from us? What are you to gain by us staying?" Trixie asked. "You cannot leave." Sam spoke up from behind him. Trixie's eyes narrowed at that. Jack spun angrily to order him out of room. But Sam was already speaking, "I don't mean that you are incapable of leaving or we will try to detain you. But Liz is my mate. I can feel it and so can she. But I know she won't be here without you two. You are a coven and your loyalties should not be broken. But even we are a pack, and I cannot leave them either. So you guys staying here will be best for everyone." "I guess you are right." Trixie replied. Jack was feeling a bit out of it. So many emotions were running through him at once. "You will have to be properly introduced to the pack. You will require living quarters and everything." Jack had already started planning on their stay. Jack dialled his cell and called a woman Cassie inside his study. ___________________________________ Jade: "This is Cassie. She is currently acting as pack's female Alpha and she will take care of your needs. Your cars will be put inside the pack's garage. Your belongings will be brought from the hotel where you were staying prior to this." Jack informed, "Cassie, Liz here is Sam's mate. Show her his room. I have something to discuss with him." Jade had been contemplating throwing in the towel and telling Trixie what the future held for her when Jack introduced Cassie. Jade turned around hand extended, smile on her face when she simply froze. Jade's eyes dilated. She couldn't look anywhere but at Cassie. It was as if Cassie was the one. Wait, was she the one? But how could that be? She preferred men. She had the odd experience of kissing a girl once or twice. But Cassie? Boy she didn't wanted to just kiss her senseless but also ravish her completely. The erotic images running through her head had her perspiring even in the air conditioning. Cassie was dressed in a tight leather black vest and jeans. Cassie smiled and shook hands with everyone. But when she held Jade's hand an electric current shot through her and made her core wet. Cassie licked her dry lips and gently withdrew her hand. Jade could see that she was aroused and uncomfortably so. Cassie pressed her thighs together to keep herself contained in presence of her Alpha. Jade noted the gesture and promised herself that if she was allowed she would make Cassie whimper her name in ecstasy. Cassie gestured all of them to follow her. Cassie took them down the hall way and to a set of elevators. Jade entered behind her. The elevator's doors closed and it started descending downwards. Cassie's smell seemed to intensify in the elevator. Jade wanted to take her in elevator but she was mindful of her friends. Thankfully the elevator stopped its decent. Cassie took them down a corridor and gestured to two rooms at the end of the hallway and turned around to Jade and Trixie and said, "These are for you. Take whichever you like. Liz, will you come with me please?" Jade stopped Cassie and turned to Liz, "You will be alright. There is nothing to be afraid of. Sam is totally in love with you. And he will never harm you. Yet if you feel you don't want to be with him so soon. You can always come to my room. Understand?" Liz gave a small nod and followed Cassie down the corridor. Jade chose a room and went inside thinking that she will just take a bath and rest herself. __________________________ Liz: "You cannot leave." Sam had burst out when Trixie was contemplating it. Trixie's eyes had narrowed at that. Liz knew if Trixie wanted she could take down the whole pack by herself. No one could stop Trixie. If Trixie wanted to then Liz would leave with Trixie. However, Liz wanted to be with Sam and badly so. When they had danced in the club, she had loved the way he had let her guide him. Sam was speaking, "But Liz is my mate. I can feel it and so can she. But I know she won't be here without you two. You are a coven and your loyalties should not be broken. But even we are a pack, and I cannot leave them either. So you guys staying here will be best for everyone." Whoa Liz thought. Mates? Trixie and Jade were a century older and they didn't have mates. So how could she? "I guess you are right." Trixie replied. Liz was suddenly elated. Yes, she would be staying with Sam. But when Jack said that Liz would be staying in same room with Sam, she had panicked. She didn't know what he expected of her or how she should behave with him. She just knew what she had seen once on a video on a friend's 18th birthday at her pyjama party. And she was scared. When Jade reassured her, Liz felt a little better and decided she will go with flow. If anything goes wrong, she can always depend on her mentors to show her the correct path. Liz went with Cassie quite confidently. The Coven Ch. 02 Jack: "Liz is your mate?" Jack almost screamed at Sam. "Yes, just as Trixie is yours." Sam replied calmly in face of his brother's outburst, a little too calmly for Jack's liking. His words slowly registered in Jack's mind. "What are you talking about?" Jack questioned. Sam smiled briefly and replied, "You haven't noticed how you behave around her? Haven't you felt the jolt of recognition? The despair when she talked of leaving forever? The happiness when she conceded staying here? Don't you feel her absence now?" Jack bent his head and considered Sam's words. He thought deeply about what being around Trixie did to him. He thought of his overwhelming desire to bed her. He looked up at Sam and said, "When did you become so observing, young bro?" Jack's face was displaying pride he had for his family members. _____________ Liz: She had felt confident while walking with Cassie but now, left alone in Sam's room, she felt nervous. She looked around the room. It was bare except for essentials. She walked towards the window and looked outside. There were trees and dark everywhere she looked. It was a pleasant change from the city. All her life she had been moving from city to city, never resting in one place for too long. They had always stayed in cities because Trixie thought it was easy to stay in city where people never had any time for each other rather than staying in small towns where people seemed to know everything about each other. She couldn't keep her mind off Sam for much longer. Her thoughts kept drifting back to how it had felt when he had approached her and asked her to dance. She jumped when she felt someone wrap their arms around her. She looked behind to see Sam grinning at her hugely. "What?" "I am just glad that you are staying with me." "So... I am really your mate?" "You think I would lie?" "No. But I ... I don't... I never..." "You didn't have a boyfriend ever so you don't know what to do." Liz blushed, "Is it that obvious?" "Only to me." "And Jade, she knew too." Liz said remembering their conversation. Sam turned her around to face him. He placed a finger under her chin and gently coaxed her face up. "I know it may be tough to believe someone you have met only a few hours ago, but I can wait, you don't have to rush yourself. We can take this as slow as you like." Sam waited for her to say something. When she didn't, he sighed, "It is getting very late. Why don't you go to bed? I will ask Cassie to lend you a nightgown or something." Sam turned and headed to door. But Liz stopped him. "If you don't mind, can I borrow one of your shirts? I will be comfortable enough and it's too late to go disturb anyone." He gave her one of his shirts. Liz went in bathroom and returned after sometime. The shirt hung loose on her. He could see the faint outline of her body through the shirt. Sam groaned and stepped towards her. Liz saw his eyes darken and his head swooping to catch her lips in his before being completely engulfed in different sensations coursing through her body. His touch left a trail of fire on her skin and his mouth was ravishing hers. His tongue had slipped past her lips and was stroking the inner recess of her mouth. His hand was on her waist pulling her towards him and his other was locked in her hair keeping her head still. Just as she was giving herself completely over to the kiss, Sam pulled back. Liz was confused and didn't understand; had she done something wrong. Sam groaned at the look of doubt passing on her face. He pulled her in his embrace. "Sweetheart you are perfect but I had to stop. If I hadn't I doubt I could have before things got out of control." Liz rested her head on his chest content and happy that he seemed to understand her. ____________ Jade: After hours of tossing and turning restlessly in bed Jade gave up. She couldn't stop thinking about Cassie. The images of her tightly pushed breasts in her black vest kept running through her head. Thinking that a glass of milk might help, Jade pulled on her dress from the evening before and went to find the pack kitchens. Using her psychic abilities she evaluated each turn she took and reached the kitchen in few minutes. She didn't think that anyone here would harm her without reason, but she was still very cautious. She stopped at kitchen entrance as she spotted a movement in dark. She mentally contemplated directly walking inside or surprising the person. She figured turning back would be okay too. But just as she was turning, she caught the scent of the person. Cassie. This reminder of her sought to arouse Jade. Jade smelt the air once again she could smell that Cassie was aroused too and by the sound of her quick movements, irritated. Perhaps Jade thought musingly that Cassie too was having same problem as her. Jade decided that she would simply walk in. Jade made out the switch in darkness and flipped on the lights. Cassie whirled around when the lights went on. She was so absorbed in her thoughts, she hadn't heard the intruder. Jade was leaning against the counter watching Cassie with a smirk. Cassie's eyes flew to hers and a slight blush coloured her cheeks. Perhaps she had been thinking about me, Jade thought. "I wasn't able to sleep, so I came here to grab a glass of milk." Jade said. "Were you not able to sleep yourself Madam Alpha?" "I cannot sleep Jade, ever." The last word was spoken so softly that Jade almost missed it. "Ever?" Jade asked puzzled. "I am a vampire." Cassie spoke softly and looked away. Jade smiled widely. When she didn't hear anything from Jade, Cassie turned to look at her again. Confused as to why Jade was smiling, she asked, "What?" "You are a vampire. That's why you are wearing tight leather clothes." Jade stated simply. Cassie's brow furrowed and she glanced down at her clothes. "Tight little clothes, which I have been dreaming of peeling off your body." Jade said moving closer to Cassie. Cassie looked up and saw Jade's face an inch from her. She groaned and pulling Jade close to her body, kissed her deeply. Jade closed her eyes and lost herself to the sensations, coursing through her. Her hands tangled in Cassie's hair while their tongues duelled with each other for dominance. Neither of them was backing down. Jade pushed Cassie against the stainless kitchen counter. Cassie undid the clasp of Jade's dress all the while kissing her passionately. Jade stopped the kiss and panted, "My room or yours?" Cursing Cassie threw jade on her shoulder and ran at vampiric speed to her room. She threw Jade on bed and slammed the door shut. Diving in bed beside Jade, she said, "You are my mate and this will be our room from now on." Jade loved the way Cassie treated her roughly and when she called this our room, her happiness increased. Jade felt Cassie ripping her clothes off and she raised her hand to undo Cassie's jeans. Cassie growled, "I can do that much faster." Saying so, she ripped both of their clothes off. Cassie then pushed her down in bed and kissed her in a fast, hot and passionate way. Their naked bodies were touching each other. Jade felt as if hers was on fire. Jade needed to make good on her promise to herself, so she placed her hand against Cassie's breast and started pinching and rolling the nipple. Cassie shuddered above her. Jade twisted their bodies so now Cassie was lying down. Jade sat back, looking at her body. Cassie was beautiful. Her pussy was clean shaved and wet. Jade kissed her other breast while playing with one in her hand. Her tongue went in circles around one breast. Cassie moaned and twisted under her. "Hush my sweet one, learn to savour things. Be patient." "I had to go one and a half century without you, Jade. I think we can dispense with patience on this subject." Cassie growled. Jade merely laughed and went back to work on her breasts. Then she kissed the valley between her breasts and made her way down to the navel. She sucked and bit on Cassie's stomach quite a bit. By now Cassie was trashing uncontrollably against the pillows. Jade kissed her pussy lightly and Cassie bucked under her. Jade caught her waist firmly and then inserted a finger inside Cassie. Cassie moaned her name. Jade then smiled to herself and started moving her finger in and out of her. Cassie was clutching at comforter and pillow and yelling out her pleasure. Jade inserted a second finger and then a third. Cassie was crying out Jade's name over and over again. Jade then withdrew her fingers and Cassie looked at her frowning heavily. Jade smiled angelically and then licked her pussy. Cassie's head fell against pillows again. Jade then inserted her tongue inside Cassie and started licking her mercilessly. Cassie's eyes rolled in her head and she cried out her bliss. Sated she snuggled in the bed. Jade licked her clean and slept beside her. Cassie could see that Jade had came too but she was spent. So Cassie pulled Jade closer and threw comforter over them. _______________ Trixie: Trixie had immediately fallen asleep in her room from sheer exhaustion. The extensive use of magic always seemed to have this effect on her. For the first time in years Trixie had the sense of being home, as if something was just right here. However she had still taken precautions to put a spell to alert her to the presence of an intruder. The alarm from her spell was what woke her. She twisted off her bed and landed on her feet at the same time she launched the bedside lamp at the intruder. "Oomph" someone groaned. "Hey! It's me. Calm down. I just came to check on you." "Jack," Trixie exclaimed, "What the hell?" Jack flipped a switch, flooding the room with bright light. Trixie blinked in sudden brightness. "You came to check on me at this hour of the night Alpha?" "Sorry, if I scared you. It's just that I was passing this room and you were screaming in your sleep." "Screaming?" "Okay not screaming. You were talking, you were saying -- Let go. Don't lock me in. I didn't do anything. I just got scared. Okay?" "Scared?" "Yeah, scared. I felt someone was attacking you and I didn't like it." "Okay... I must have been having a dream." "What was the dream about?" Trixie's eyes narrowed and she said, "We really don't know each other that well." "If you are going to be in my pack I would need to know something about you. It didn't sound like a dream; it felt like a memory. Consider this as a form of submission to your Alpha." Trixie sighed. She sat on the bed and motioned Jack to sit. "First of all, I don't submit. I am only telling you this because you are right; you should know something about me. You are, after all doing us a favour by letting us stay here. I was five when my powers started showing. There was no witch in our family from whom I inherited my powers, I was born with them. They were just dormant, till I was five. The year was 1918. That was the time when witches were exposed. They were abhorred and rejected by the general society. Anyone remotely suspected of being a witch was burned alive at the stake. It was never considered if the person was good or bad, they were witches and hence a danger. Burning them alive was the only thing right for such people." Trixie's eyes were staring far off in the distance, as if she was reliving it again. "My parents were religious people themselves. When they discovered that I was not normal, they decided to lock me up in the basement. I was not to be burned at stake because I was their child. But I was also rejected the education, freedom and childhood. I was made to stay in basement only. I couldn't even roam in the house for they feared I would sully it. The only best thing in the basement was a little window which looked out from beneath the house. It was barred though so I couldn't escape from there. Twice a day my meals would be given to me. I hadn't learned table manners. No one was there to teach me. So I ate with hands. This convinced them that I was devil's child. They were planning to give me up to priest. They would have eventually, if not for Martha." "Who is Martha?" questioned Jack. "She was Liz's mother. One night I was bored and looking out from basement. When I saw someone's feet approaching the house. The feet stopped at some distance and I heard the sound of someone sniffing the air. The feet then approached my window. I was a little scared. I wondered if the person would kill me, at this point I didn't mind very much. My only thought was if it would hurt too much. Then I heard some chants being murmured and little by little the bars melted away. The person bent down and offered me their hand. Excited that I would get to step outside of basement, even if I were to die, I quickly grabbed it. The person pulled me out. I thought I wouldn't fit in through the window but the person had put a spell on it and out I slid effortlessly. Then I saw that it was a woman. She beckoned me to keep mum. She then quickly started walking away from the house and pulling me along. I couldn't walk very fast. So she slowed her speed a little. Once we were out of hearing distance she quickly whistled. Her horse came to her and she mounted it and pulled me up. We rode through the night until we reached the heart of the forest. There was a small hut with smoke spiralling out of chimney. Unsure what to do I just stood at the place I had slid from the horse. She gently took me in and offered me food. She then explained that her name was Martha and she was scrounging for food when she caught the scent of my powers. She then went on to explain that she was a witch and so was I. And so she visited the house a few times to see how exactly I was living in these difficult times in middle of humans. When she found out all about me, she decided she would take me in. She offered me comfort education and sanctuary, I couldn't have said no. My life was better from there on. I learned what I could about spells from Martha. In a way she became the mother I never had." A small tear slid down Trixie's cheek. Jack held her hand tightly and asked in a strained voice, "How long were you inside the basement?" "Almost eleven years," Trixie replied. Jack was angry and he felt wrong. But he knew Trixie was upset and the wounds were still fresh even after nearly a century later. "Wait! Do witches live forever? I mean are they immortal like vampires and weres?" "Not exactly..." Trixie seemed to hesitate. Then she sighed and told him, "Actually witches only outlive the human by a decade or so. We are alive because of Martha. She had special powers. She had created a spell that could increase the life force of any living thing. It just had one condition. The spell could only be performed by her or her descendant." Jack reeled back as the force of what she said hit him. "So... you mean Liz could..." "Not yet we will try to teach her the spell but she hasn't reached the full potential of her powers yet. She doesn't know how powerful she is." Jack grew silent as he contemplated it. He then glanced at Trixie and saw she was once again lost in memories and her expression was sad. He couldn't control his impulse. He leant in and planted a light kiss on her cheek. She looked staggered. Then she blushed beautifully and said, "It's late I should go back to bed." The Coven Ch. 03 Jade: She woke up feeling lethargic. She was warm in her bed. Too tired to get up, she just rolled over trying to find a comfortable position. Her eyes flew open when she encountered something else. She looked up to see Cassie smiling down at her. "Good morning, beautiful." Cassie said. Jade smiled too and pulled down Cassie's face for a morning kiss. But her body had other ideas. She blushed as her stomach grumbled. "You need to eat. Let's go down to the dining room. I have prepared a bath for you. Get ready then we will go down." "Okay." When she came out of bath, Cassie wasn't there in room but a set of clothes were laid out for her. Apparently their clothes had been brought down from the hotel. She thought about how they were going to be introduced in the pack today. She picked up the clothes Cassie had chosen for her. A black mini skirt and black spaghetti top, maybe black was vampire's favourite colour, Jade mused while dressing. Using her powers she sought out where Cassie was. Assuming that would be the communal dining room, Jade went down the path. She was whistling a tune and skipping along the corridors. She came to the room where Cassie was and pushed open the door. When she looked inside the smile was wiped of her face and she stood there frozen. A few people were present there along with Cassie. All of them were sporting bright red eyes and had a bag of blood to their mouth. When she opened the door all of them turned towards the sound. Everyone was silent as if waiting for her to scream. No one moved or said anything. Cassie put down her half-finished bag of blood and started in her direction. At that moment, a breeze blew and carried her scent inside the room and simultaneously everything changed. The five or so vampires in the room all rushed toward her. Jade closed her eyes waiting for a blow or something. She heard an ear splitting crash. But nothing had happened to her. She opened her eyes slowly. Cassie was crouched down in front of her facing the room. Two vampires were lying crashed into the sofa. The remaining three of them were facing Cassie but their heads were bowed down and hands out as if showing that they meant no harm. Cassie growled and turning sharply she pulled Jade from out of door and shut it firmly. Turning to face her Cassie shouted, "Have you lost your mind? No one ever told you that you shouldn't go wandering in unknown places alone? Have you thought that it might not be safe?" Jade placed her hands on her ears and let Cassie rant and get it out of her system. When she calmed down a little, Jade replied, "I knew you were there. I was following you." Cassie just growled at her then picking up her again ran to their rooms and banged the door shut. "No breakfast for you." Still upset that Jade might have been hurt because of her, she placed Jade in bed and cuddled up to her, breathing her scent, making sure she was okay. Jade just sighed and stroked her back softly while murmuring reassuring words. ___________ Liz: Liz woke up and stretched. She heard a groan. "You shouldn't do that" a male voice said. Her eyes opened wide registering Sam's loving gaze. His eyes were dark and Liz guessed he wanted to kiss her again as he had last night. However as the perfect gentleman he was he wouldn't do anything without her permission. Her eyes drifted lower as she sat up. He was bathed and dressed in a business suit that fit him perfectly. "Come on. We have to hurry. The breakfast will be served and we have to introduce you to the pack." "You are going somewhere?" "Yes, an unexpected meeting is set at company and i will have to go." Liz felt a bit sad that he was leaving her alone. It must have showed in her face because next moment he was holding her close to his chest and said, "I will come back soon. Around 5 pm. be ready then we will go out. Cassie will show all three of you around the house and help you get settled. I love you." Then Sam placed a chaste kiss on her forehead. Liz, however, was not satisfied and she thought of the kiss they shared the night before. She tightened her embrace and slowly brought her lips to his. Sam hesitated a moment but then he kissed her fervently, he traced her lips and when she opened her mouth to grant him access, his tongue slipped inside and his hold on her tightened. She could feel his chest through many layers of clothing. She wanted to remove them, so she started to undo his button. But he caught her hand and broke the kiss. She blushed deeply and he smiled. He then asked her to get ready otherwise they were bound to miss breakfast. __________ Trixie: She had asked him to leave instead he merely smiled at her. Jack replied, "It's too late actually. There is simply no time for bed we have to introduce you to the pack. Get ready and come on down." Trixie bristled at the way he gave orders, but then she supposed that it was natural because he is an Alpha. "As you command, Alpha Jack." She knew instinctively that he hated when she called him that. But Trixie was not used to being bossed around either. It had been a good part of century since she had listened to orders of another person. His eyes revealed his irritation but he just smiled and went outside. Trixie took a hurried bath and while getting in clothes, reached out to Jade mentally. Jade was lying in the bed stroking her lover, completely unaware of time. "Jade, it's time. Where are you? We are to meet in communal dining rooms. Come quick." Trixie felt Jade start slightly. "Caught you unaware, did I? Well, that's a first." Jade gently shook Cassie. Cassie smiled and kissed Jade on mouth. "Oh my god! When did this happen?" Trixie nearly shouted in Jade's head. "Relax, will you? I will explain later. And please next time knock on the door. Don't just walk in on my thoughts. My mate won't appreciate it." "Mate?" Trixie nearly lost focus on what she was doing. "What the hell? Next you would be telling me that even I have a mate here." "Actually..." "What?" Trixie froze in the process of wearing her jeans. "Jack is your..." "No. No. No." Trixie shook her head vehemently and just broke connection with Jade. "Is it possible?" Trixie thought, "Jack? My mate?" Trixie thought that Jade must be just kidding. A little prank as revenge for walking in on her with her lover, Trixie concluded. She dressed calmly and decided whatever is thrown her way she will face it head on. She reached the dining room. The room was already packed. Jack was telling everyone something. Just as she was about to walk in Cassie pulled her back and asked her to wait outside. "Don't mind please. It's just a thing Jack does before introducing new additions." Trixie cocked her head to the side but decided not to say anything. Cassie took Jade inside. A cheer went in the room. "Perhaps they were happy to know of Cassie and Jade's status." Trixie thought. Was what Jade said truth? Trixie was still wondering. Suddenly Cassie came in the room and gestured her to follow. As Trixie went in the dining room, she saw that it was filled with people of all kinds. Some were elves like the one she had met yesterday while some were it seemed descendants of giants. Maybe they were half giants, Trixie mused. They were all staring at her a bit weirdly, Trixie suddenly realised. When she reached the front of the room, some of them rose and bowed to her. Trixie looked at Jack for guidance. He was a bit tensed and looking towards the group; mostly towards the people who were sitting. Trixie was confused but she decided to remain standing with head held high. Cassie was standing on the other side of her. She seemed to approve of her actions. Suddenly a woman stood up and came to the front of the room. "I refuse." She stated simply. "Mary." Jack growled warningly. "No." Mary shouted. "I refuse to acknowledge her as Female Alpha. She is just a witch. She doesn't know the pack law." "You are just saying it because you wanted to be Alpha bitch. You had your eye on this position. Stand down Mary or else..." Cassie warned. "No. You know the pack rules Cassie. The law allows me to challenge her." Mary stated, "I challenge you." She said looking at Trixie. "I challenge you for your position as Alpha female." Jack growled sharply. Trixie was never one to back down from a challenge. She absentmindedly placed her hand against Jack's. "I accept." Trixie replied looking right at Mary. Mary was not looking at her. She was staring at Trixie's hand against Jack's. "She will hurt you Trixie. I don't want it to happen. She is very fast. The fight continues till either person is dead or submitting to other person. I don't want to see you hurt." Jack shouted the last sentence. "I had made a promise to myself, Jack. The only time I had run from a fight will be the last one I will run from. I have to accept this challenge. I have to honour my promise. Don't worry. I will be okay. You don't know my powers." "Trixie, you moved a couple of cars. But you were very exhausted after that and you need to concentrate hard. She will keep moving trying to attack you in any way she can. You are not fighting." "The law states she has to fight or forfeit." interjected Mary. "You keep quiet." Jack shouted. "I accept. When and where do you want to do this?" Trixie asked. The crowd present gasped. "I am your Alpha. You will listen to me." Jack commanded. "Even Alphas have to follow pack rules." Trixie stated simply. A round of approval went in crowd. Jack's nostrils flared showing his anger but he knew he had to listen to Trixie. "Let's do it." Mary said. She led the way outside, away from the house, to a ground cleared in the middle of forest. Almost all of the pack followed both of them, forgetting the breakfast. Mary sauntered her way to the middle of the ground and turned to face Trixie. Looking right at Trixie she dropped her clothes and stood. Trixie cocked her head to one side and said, "Just to be clear, when we are speaking of a challenge it means a fight, right? It doesn't mean having sex or flashing people, right?" Mary's face contorted in anger. She growled and shifted to her wolf form. She towered Trixie. Growling, Mary's wolf pawed the dirt and snorted. Trixie relaxed her shoulders and took a deep breath. Then to everyone's surprise Trixie sat down on forest floor cross legged, closed her eyes and beckoned Mary to attack her. Mary incensed at her carefree attitude, launched herself towards Trixie. However when she reached within two feet of Trixie she flew back as if something had struck her. Mary landed on her back some feet away from Trixie. Her anger increased. She tried going for Trixie from behind. But she met same type of resistance there. Mary realised the folly of her actions and then she slowly began circling Trixie, trying to find a breach in her defences. She then remembered Jack's words in the dining room. She started to run in circles around Trixie faster and faster. She was running so fast she became just a blur. Then suddenly breaking the pattern she came at Trixie from side. Trixie just tossed her head slightly and Mary was flung of ground into a tree. She howled as she was hit. Trixie was smiling fully now. Her eyes were still closed. However Mary had not given up. She once again began moving in circles slowly, studying Trixie. Suddenly, it hit her. She could run faster around Trixie till her oxygen supply was cut off. So she got as near Trixie as she dared and then began running. Faster and faster, Mary ran. Trixie started experiencing some difficulty in breathing and she realised what Mary was trying to do. Trixie gasped a little and Jack leaned a bit forward worried. Trixie took a deep breath and smiled beatifically. Next thing everyone knew was that Mary was suspended in air from her hind legs. Mary panicked and started kicking her front legs. But they only kicked at air and she couldn't get herself down. Then steadily Mary began rising up very high above the ground. Mary then realised what Trixie was going to do. She was going to get her as far from the ground as possible and then let her go, effectively smashing her into earth. Mary then realised her mistake and she began howling desperately. No one came forward to help her. Jack didn't even flinch. She realised that Jack had indeed found his true mate and she had put Trixie's life in danger. Jack wasn't going to forgive her. She started howling even more. She suddenly stopped ascending. She realised that it was high enough for her to drop and die. Mary gave up and was scared. Trixie knew exactly what Mary must be feeling. Trixie let her go. Mary started falling downwards. Earth approached her face at an alarming rate. However Trixie didn't kill for fun. So Trixie stopped her descend with Mary's face just a few inches from ground. As soon as Mary registered the fact that she was not going to die Trixie dropped her. Mary huffed and stood on her legs. They were still feeling wobbly. Mary dragged herself towards Trixie and fell to her side. Transforming into a woman again, she said, "I surrender. I accept you as my Alpha." Trixie opened her eyes and reached with her hand to touch Mary's head. A round of cheer went in crowd. Cassie came near them and said, "Touch her belly. If she lets you do that then it is considered as an ultimate form of submission in wolf." Trixie did it and then offered her hand to Mary to help her up. Jack came running towards them and hugged Trixie fiercely. "You know what this means? There is no one to challenge your right to mate me." Jack questioned. "No. She challenged me for my right to be female Alpha. She never said anything about mating you." "But you won't become female Alpha unless... " "Unless I challenged Cassie or mate you. I know." Jack grew angry. He let her go and stalked away from Trixie muttering something about women and words. The Coven Ch. 04 Trixie: Mary had donned her clothes. Trixie turned to smile at her but Mary just gave her a cold look and stalked off in direction of deep forest. "I don't think she is going to get over it anytime soon." Cassie murmured staring at her retreating back. She then turned brightly towards Trixie and said, "You are very stubborn. If you are his mate then you should accept it. Not because it is a rule or something. But because it makes you complete and brings you the greatest joy you will ever know." Cassie smiled at Jade. Jade was also looking at Cassie with just the same kind of love in her eyes. "Come, I will show you the pack grounds." "I must leave too." Sam said and kissing Liz on top of her head, left. Liz stared openly at his retreating back, longing to go after him. Trixie was following Cassie as she showed them around. So far they had visited the pack lands surrounding the house. There was a beautiful lake where several kids from the pack were training in combat skills as well as swimming. Some who were wolves were generally afraid of water but their other species friends encouraged them or just playfully pushed them in water. Here Trixie met Nadia, she was a water nymph. Her skin was light bluish in colour like the water of lake and her clothes were made of plants found in water. She wore a blue sapphire pendant. She was very welcoming of the three witches. She couldn't leave water entirely so she sat on a rock in the lake while chatting with them. "I wish I could leave these waters then I could go in search of my mate. It's lonely out here on lake. Without the company of these kids, I would very likely have been bored." "How did you come to be here?" Trixie asked out of curiosity. Nadia's face fell and her eyes reflected her sorrow. Jade nudged Trixie. "You don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to. I didn't mean to intrude" Trixie hastily corrected. "It's okay. It was a long time ago." Nadia smiled sadly. "Many centuries ago, there was a tribe living in the open sea called Merpeople. We sold fish to the people living on land in return for not harming us in any way. They assumed that we were powerful and so they kept to themselves. One day my great, great, great grandfather and the chief found the Heart of Sea on an excursion. They brought it back to the tribe with them. It was a powerful stone, one that held many secrets in its core. Blue as deep sea and harder than earth, it was worshiped by our people for the power it held. It enabled us to travel outside of water or for land people to breathe underwater for as long as they wished. Many of its powers were still hidden. The males of our family were a kind of priest who looked after the stone along with the chief. Its power attracted many evil creatures. Our tribe fought to save the stone. Finally when our numbers had started dwindling we decided to go in hiding. We found a deserted island with an inlet of water and coves. The stone helped us mask our presence from humans passing in ships. We were safe and didn't need human interaction anymore. We were happy with our life. Then a couple centuries ago everything changed, a powerful evil wizard found us and demanded the Heart of Sea. When we refused he threatened to kill the tribe people mercilessly. He said he would be back in two days and then we better hand it to him. Apparently the Heart of Sea could even increase the life of a person. My father and the chief at that time decided to break the stone so that the stone might not be used for evil deeds. They broke it in several pieces and scattered all the pieces to sea. But my mother had actually sneaked one of its pieces before they were scattered. When the wizard returned, he demanded the stone. The chief told him about their actions. The evil wizard was so incensed, he killed everyone mercilessly. He didn't spare women or children. My mother had woven the piece of stone into a necklace. She put it around my neck and made me swim away as fast as I could. I swam a distance but stopped to turn back. I could see fire and hear explosions and cries of people. I was frightened and wanted my mom and dad. But I heeded my mother's advice. I swam and swam. I reached the other coast and passed out on the sand due to sheer exhaustion. Jack's father found me and brought me to this place. When he saw that I was a water nymph, he ordered his pack to build a lake for me. Since then I live here. The stone has lost some of its power. I can no longer walk without water. But as long as I wear it, I won't die of natural causes and my wounds are faster healed." Another wizard after immortality, thought Trixie sadly. Trixie was experiencing anger and grief at Nadia's story. "What was the name of that evil wizard?" Liz asked. "Angara." Nadia said with a shiver. Trixie froze and her hands went cold and clammy. ____________ Jade: "Angara." Nadia replied. Jade tensed. She was holding hands with Cassie so she noticed Jade's anxiety. "What's wrong?" Cassie asked Jade. Jade paused for a second contemplating what to tell Cassie. 'Not now. Let me tell Jack first. The Alpha will decide whether they should know this.' Trixie's voice sounded in Jade's mind. "Nothing. Just... sad story." Jade replied. Cassie smiled and held her close. Trixie said, "We still have to see the house. Come on." Jade could tell Trixie was feeling apprehensive. She stood in close proximity to Liz throughout the rest of journey occasionally commenting on the rooms and spells used on house. Jade too became preoccupied. She thought about having to consciously conduct a search in future for presence of that evil man. Cassie seemed to notice her preoccupation so her excitement on showing the house also dimmed a bit. After the tour was over, Cassie pulled Jade to their room. She shut the door and turned to her. "Baby, what's wrong? And don't tell me that it's Nadia's story. You don't get shaken up that easily." Cassie asked concerned. "It's just... not my place to tell. Okay? Just that Liz... Her mom..." Jade sighed and shook her head. "Okay... Let it go. Don't be sad. Please? It makes me sad." Jade hugged Cassie. Cassie tilted her head up and kissed Jade. She started out slow just offering comfort but Jade wanted more. Jade pushed herself closer to Cassie. She pushed her to bed. Actually she couldn't budge Cassie but Cassie seemed to understand and moved closer to bed. Jade pushed her down on bed and started undoing the buttons on her shirt. Cassie pulled off Jade's top. Jade completely undid the shirt and started playing with her breasts. She teased the nipples between her fingers and then replaced them with her mouth. Kissing her nipple, she bit on lightly. Cassie moaned and pulled Jade's head up for a kiss. Jade slightly trailed her hand down over to side. Cassie was ticklish there and she arched a bit. Jade then pulled up the hem of Cassie's skirt and lightly traced patterns on her thigh. Cassie then rose and undid Jade's skirt. She discovered Jade wasn't wearing any panties it turned her on even more. She traced her pussy with a finger. Jade moaned. Cassie pushed her down and then kissed the pulse beating on her neck. She then kissed downwards till she reached her breasts. She kissed a nipple, lightly flicked it with the tongue. With other hand she was kneading the other breast and pinching the nipple. Her mouth then moved to give same attention to other breast. Cassie then moved even down to the navel and circled it with her tongue. Jade was moaning in need. Cassie was getting turned on by the sound. She then moved her tongue in and out of the navel, kind of fucking it with her tongue. Cassie slowly moved to Jade's pussy. It was gleaming with her arousal. Cassie licked her lips and then kissed the inside of her thigh. She deliberately avoided pussy, making Jade groan with frustration. Cassie then gave a small teasing lick to her pussy. Then she let her tongue taste Jade by giving her pussy a few more licks. Cassie moved away from her pussy and kissed Jade on mouth, letting her taste herself. "Please Cassie." Jade moaned. "Please what Jade?" "Please make me cum." "First say that you are mine." "I am yours Cassie." "Do you belong to me?" "Only to you. Please Cassie." Jade cried in frustration. Cassie slowly slipped her finger inside Jade. Jade mewled. Cassie then inserted other finger and then started working them in and out of her. Cassie muffled Jade's moaning by kissing her. She increased her rhythm. Cassie felt Jade tightening around her fingers. So she inserted a third one and curved them slightly. Jade came all over her fingers. Cassie smiled and pulled her fingers away from Jade. Cassie threw the comforter around Jade and started to move away. Jade grabbed her hand and pulled her down. Cassie said, "You need to rest sweetie." "I am not made of porcelain honey. I cannot let you go dry." Jade smiled mischievously. She then proceeded to make Cassie wet and satisfied. ________________ Liz: After the tour was over, she went back to her and Sam's apartment. She was feeling out of balance she wanted to be with Sam. The phone in the room rang she went over and picked it up. "Hello beautiful." "Sam" Liz cried delighted. "How did you know that I was thinking about you?" Sam laughed, "I actually called twice before. I wanted to tell you that my work is almost finished and could you get ready? We can go out for lunch." "Sure. What should I wear?" "Something casual but revealing." "Sam!!"Liz blushed. "What? Just because we are abstaining doesn't mean I can't look." Sam replied with laughter in his voice. "Okay... now let me get ready." Liz went through her bag searching for something to wear. All her clothes were decent and non revealing. She turned out her whole bag. She found the outfit Jade had given her on her last birthday. It was a low cut, body hugging, black top with white stripes on a shoulder and white shorts. It fit her perfectly, revealing the top of her breasts and clinging to her body displaying her shape. It was something she hadn't worn before. But she assumed this was something that Sam will enjoy. When Sam arrived he raised his eyebrows but didn't say anything. He took her hand and led her through pack grounds to a small clearing. It had a fountain in the middle and was surrounded with pretty flowers. To a side of the fountain was a picnic lunch spread out on a colourful sheet. There was champagne in a bucket too. It looked very inviting. "Champagne in afternoon?" Liz questioned. "We are celebrating." "What are we celebrating?" "Our first official date together." Liz blushed slightly. Sam laughed and pulled her closer to him. Liz liked the sound of his laughter. He sat her down and poured a glass of champagne. She accepted it. "Tell me something about yourself." Sam asked. "What do you want to know?" "Anything and everything. Tell me your hobbies." Liz spent a very delightful afternoon with Sam. She couldn't remember the last time she had talked so much. Sam had kept questioning her about her life and told her funny stories of his own life. He had made her laugh about the smallest things. She was happy. With him she had a sense of belonging. It was like she had waited her entire life for him without realising she is doing so. She felt a little sad when they had to go. When they reached near the cottage, Sam pulled her to him and kissed her. His mouth engulfed her lips. His touch inflamed her nerve endings. The champagne and his touch combined were making her giddy with pleasure. She wanted so much more than a kiss, it kind of scared her. She felt him withdrawing his mouth from her. To make most of last moments, she pressed her body against him. He released her and smiled slightly. He then turned her around and placed a chain with a single teardrop diamond around her neck. She touched it and exclaimed, "It's beautiful." "It was something that belonged to my mother. Dad had given it to her on their first date." Liz turned and kissed him lightly on his cheek. "Thank you." She said simply. "For this and for today. I really enjoyed myself." "Anything for my mate. I love you Liz" Sam said. Liz looked up and blushed slightly. "I know you are my mate. I want you too much. I haven't known love before but I know I can't live without you. When you are not present I feel empty. If this is love then I am glad to be in it. I love you too Sam." Sam pulled Liz close and started walking with his mate to his room. Inside the room, he went to take a shower. Liz heard the shower running. She thought about what she had said outside the house. Could she take that leap of faith? She wondered. She knew that she loved Sam and without doubt he was her mate. Should she take the last step to this and make it a proper relationship? She thought about it for a while. Then deciding to go ahead with it, she stepped in the bathroom and closed the door. At the sound of door closing, Sam turned. He was surprised to find Liz in the bathroom. Liz stepped in the shower with him. She shyly reached for him and kissed deeply, stroking her tongue against his. Sam stroked her softly. It felt like he was unsure of what she wanted. She decided that she needed to do something more to ensure him. She removed her top and tossed it aside. Sam's eyes widened, he stopped her as she reached for her bra. "Are you sure?" he asked his voice husky. "I know you want to wait and that is fine by me." "I am sure. I meant what I said earlier." That was all she could get out before Sam pulled her close and his head swooped down on her. This kiss was fiercer than any of the before. He pulled her hands around his neck and his one hand trailed to her waist, tickling her slightly and other captured her breast. His hand wanted to tease her. So he removed her bra and then broke the kiss. His mouth descended on her exposed breast, her nipples were standing out pointed. His hand teased one while his tongue flicked against other. His hand then descended lower to encounter her shorts. He ripped them apart in a minute. "That was Jade's gift." She murmured against his hair. "I liked them but they were in middle." Sam growled. She laughed huskily and Sam pulled her panties down. He groaned at the sight of her pussy with neatly trimmed hair. He covered them with a hand and dragged his mouth to kiss her again. He then picked her up and deposited her on his bed. He then kissed his way up from her feet. He knew he had to go slow. So he avoided her pussy and went to lick her breasts again. Liz groaned, "Sam, I need you." "I am here baby." Frustrated that she couldn't explain properly, she just growled. "Sam... down there..." "Yes sweetie." Infuriated that he was purposely doing this to her, she turned her bodies so that he was the one lying down. She then kissed his nipple and bit around him. Sam groaned, "Careful love." "No." She ground out. She kissed her way down his body. He arched when she reached his stomach. She then moved down to his penis. It was so huge. She didn't exactly know what to do, but she had heard about oral sex. A bit afraid she gave it a small lick. Sam bucked and groaned. He pulled her up and then kissed her. "Not today sweetie. Today is about you. Let me pleasure you today." He then pushed her down and moved down to her pussy. He licked her there. She started moving against his mouth. She was very wet. Experimentally he put a finger inside her pussy. It made her shudder for a bit. There was a little pain too. He slowly inserted a second finger, widening her a little, preparing her for his cock. She squeezed her eyes shut and tensed. He moved his fingers a little to get her used to the sensation. She started relaxing and enjoying a little. He then removed his fingers and moved up to kiss her. He coated his cock in the wetness of her pussy and slid a little inside. Once again she tensed a bit. He stopped. When she relaxed a bit then he moved again to get a bit more of his penis inside her. Slowly he slid inside, stretching and filling her. She also relaxed completely. She was so tight; it was a war with him to keep from moving. When she got used to him, she moved her hips a bit. He took the indication and started moving slowly inside her. He gradually increased his speed. When he felt that she was about to come he felt his wolf coming to fore to claim his mate. However he pushed the wolf down reasoning with him that it was her first time and he would frighten her with his wolf. They both came simultaneously shouting their release in air. "Mine" he whispered in the orgasmic bliss. She heard him clearly. A smile adorned her face as he rolled and pulled her on top of him. He removed himself from her and pulled a quilt around them. They fell asleep instantly. The Coven Ch. 05 Trixie: Trixie was pacing the room, trying to figure out the best way to tell this to Jack. She was also thinking about leaving, but she knew it was not possible now that both of her friends were mated here. She thought about the day she had promised Martha to take care of her daughter. Martha had run inside the house, grabbed Liz and thrust her to Trixie. She had said, "He is not who I thought he was. He betrayed me for immortality. Take care of Liz and run for your life Trixie. Someday when the time is right tell her everything." After that she had used her life increasing spell on her for last time, kissed her daughter and summoned a wild horse to take them to safety. Trixie had wanted to stay and help her but Jade stopped her and told her to run. Trixie had always regretted leaving Martha behind. She cursed herself for not being able to help her mentor. They were a coven and she should have helped her. After that Trixie had promised herself to never leave a battle. That was two decades ago but the wound was still fresh. Lost in her thoughts, Trixie didn't notice the time. It was soon night. Trixie sighed and thought it was best to deal with it right away. She had to go find Jack. She knew where he stayed from the tour conducted that morning. Trixie knocked on his door. "Who is it?" Jack asked. "It's me Trixie." She heard a chair scrapping, some papers rustling and couple of drawers opening and shutting. The door finally opened. Jack stood in door frame with wary eyes, "Yes, you wanted something? Is everything alright?" he looked tired and drawn. He raked a hand through his hair and waited for her reply. "Can I come in? I wanted to tell you something." "Okay." He moved aside to let her in. She looked over the room. It was messy with papers and clothes everywhere, some even on bed. The only place that looked clean was a couch. She suspected that he had cleaned it now when she had announced herself. She smiled slightly. "Ahem..." he cleared his throat. "Sorry for the mess. I live alone and don't usually have guests here." "It's okay." He gestured her to sit on the couch. His expression was still very wary. He almost looked as if he was expecting something bad to happen. "You wanted to say something." "Yes, I was shown around the pack grounds today by Cassie..." Trixie paused as his expression clouded over. "What's wrong?" she asked concerned. "You are going to leave, aren't you?" Jack asked accusingly, unable to restrain himself. "Leave?" "Yes... leave." His face fell and his expression was of pain and pleading. "No. I am not." Trixie said quietly. He was silent for a second or two. Then he asked, "You are not?" "No. I am staying." "Really?" "Really." He seemed cheered by this fact. His happiness was so evident that it fell off him in waves. Unable to control, he pulled Trixie close for a hug. Trixie stiffened in surprise and inhaled deeply determined to push him away. But his scent, of earth and forest, was intoxicating. She relaxed slightly in his arms. He felt her acceptance and so he held her very close for a moment longer before letting go. "What did you come here to tell me?" Jack asked. He was happier than before and it showed. "We were shown around the pack grounds by Cassie. She introduced us to Nadia. Do you know her story?" "Yes.What of it?" "I Know this Angara... He is Liz's father." "What?" "Yes. He is also the man who killed her mother." "What?" Liz asked. Both Jack and Trixie started. They turned to face the door, Liz was standing in the door with Sam's hand around her shoulders. His face was troubled. Liz was feeling hurt and Trixie took a step towards her with a hand raised. "No!" with a cry Liz turned and fled out of door, only to be brought back in by Jade and Cassie. Liz struggled in Jade's arms. "Let me go." She kept saying. Trixie moved behind her and helped Jade hold on to Liz. Liz struggled even more and succeeded in getting released until Sam caught her. He murmured soothing words in her ear. But she had bit him. Trixie said, "Calm down Liz. You have to hear the story. It's about time you knew." "NO!" she said redoubling her efforts to get loose. "I know you don't want to listen to us or even your mate but I don't think you should hurt him. For heaven's sake stop biting him. You have drawn his blood." Cassie said quietly. Her words had a dramatic impact and Liz stopped struggling. "What?" Liz murmured and looked down at the wound. "Start from the beginning." Jack commanded. "It had only been a few years since Martha brought me with her to live at her cottage. I met Jade there; she too was a girl Martha had rescued. One day Martha, Liz's mom, was getting some herbs for a spell in the forest. She heard a moan coming from bushes. So she went to inspect. She saw a wolf lying there. Thinking it must be feral and would hurt her, she turned back. Just as she took a step away from the wolf, she felt a rush of magic from behind. She turned to see a man lying in place of wolf. "Please. Help me." He moaned. She understood that it must be a werewolf. There were some deep gashes down his side as if he had been in a fight. She used some basic spells to heal him and brought him home to rest. He said his name was Angara. For some days he stayed with us in our cottage; when the time came to leave he pleaded that he was in love with Martha. He claimed that she was his mate. He pleaded her to marry him. They did get married in few days. Jade and I didn't quite like him but we tried our best to be friends with him. He was always guarded around us and didn't let his guard down even for a second. About eight decades passed before Liz was born. Martha was really happy. She became Martha's whole world. Angara showed all the signs of fatherly love when we were there. But once when the three of us were out and Angara was home with Liz; I walked in on Liz crying for food and Angara sitting quietly in a corner going through Martha's spell book. When I came inside the room he quickly scrambled to get her bottle of milk. One day Martha came running from forest. She said that there was a herd of elephants trampling through forest and one of them was about to step on Angara. But Angara threw the elephant to a side. I said that he is a werewolf and he might be able to. Then she said that he had used a spell. Angara wasn't a werewolf; he was wizard. He had simply used a charm to make a person see what he wished to. She said that she had confronted him and he had told her truth that he was with her to get the life force increasing spell. And now that he had Liz, he was going to kill the rest of us. She had temporarily managed to slow him. She didn't want that Liz should be used or manipulated. She cared for us as if we were her own. She asked Jade and me to run away with Liz. I desperately wanted to stay and fight but Jade and Martha forced me to leave and summoned a horse for our travel. Riding with you cradled in my arms, I promised myself to never back down from a fight again and to protect you till my last breath." The last statement Trixie addressed directly to Liz. Liz was sitting on couch and Sam was holding her. She broke down crying and rushed from his arms to Trixie. Jade and Trixie held her while she cried her heart out. _________ Liz: Liz struggled to be loose. She couldn't believe that such an evil man fathered her. But when Jade said she had drawn Sam's blood, it took all the fight out of her. She looked down at bite mark there was a little trace of blood. Not sure how Cassie had even seen the blood, she turned to apologize to Sam. Sam merely pulled her down on couch and held her. She sat calmly with Sam holding her upright. She listened to Trixie's story. Liz bowed her head in acceptance and shame. She said, "When I had heard Trixie saying that Angara was my father and he' killed mom; I was angry and hurt but I do realise now that both of you loved me and protected me. Now I realise why we kept moving cities. But I have got a question; Nadia said that Angara had destroyed their tribe a couple of centuries ago. If he is still living then why would he have needed mom to increase his lifetime?" "I might be able to answer that." Jack whispered softly. "I know Angara's past." He looked at Sam and Cassie briefly. Both of them nodded. "My father brought Nadia home because her tribe was destroyed as a result of his actions. Once when I was a mere cub and Sam wasn't even born, Angara had came to our father and asked begged to be changed into a werewolf. My father had laughed in his face, refused and ordered him off the pack lands. My father didn't believe that a person with other magical qualities should be given a place in pack. Angara wasn't much powerful at that time. After he left seething in resentment, he had decided a revenge on the pack if he could. He kept close to our pack. He learnt all that he could by observing us. After many years nearly a decade or so later a pack member went rogue. My father hunted the rogue down and eliminated him. The tradition to burn the remains of a werewolf or bury him inside pack lands was not followed for this wolf. He had tried to harm me, Sam and other kids. His body was left to rot in the open jungle. Angara used this opportunity to grab the dead body and use it for dark magic. He used the muscle content of the body for a curse which could destroy werewolf if the werewolf were to ingest it by air, water or food. He used it on our pack to severely diminish our numbers. The survivors had to leave. We lost many of our family members that day including our mom. He had thrown the curse potion in lake water and many of our members were used to drinking directly from lake whenever in wolf form. I watched while our mom burst in flames. Sometimes her howls still ring in my ears." Jack had closed his eyes and a tear escaped Sam's eyes. Liz suspected that Sam still felt haunted too. Liz hugged him. Turning to Jack she said, "So you think he is using the body of the wolf to remain alive?" Jack merely nodded. Everyone was silent for a few moments. No one knew what to say. Jade said, "Jack, I want to officially mate Cassie. She is going to have to mark me or something." "Wow. I am happy for you. Congratulations. It will be a happy occasion for the pack. " Jack said. "Congratulations. That's good news." Sam said. "Rather sudden. But I am happy. There should be a party." Trixie said. Liz was smiling but her eyes still retained their sadness. "Maybe Sam should mark you as his too since you have already engaged in the mating game." Jade winked. Liz blushed furiously. _________________ Jade: After she teased Liz and Sam, till Liz was blushing bright red and there was no trace of sadness on her face, Jade turned to see if Cassie would be okay with this. Cassie was frowning for a bit. For the first time since they met, Jade wondered if Cassie was really going to accept her as a mate. Jade's mood of happiness diminished a bit. The thought that came uninvited in her head lingered. It was still there in the morning when she woke up and Cassie wasn't around. However Jade knew better than following Cassie's presence. So she got ready and went in search of Trixie. Jade knew that if anyone would hear her out it was Trixie. Talking with Trixie had always lightened her heart. As Jade neared Trixie's room, she heard the sound of two people voices coming from the room. Jade knocked on Trixie's door. Trixie opened the door laughing. Jade was glad to see Trixie happy. Since she came here Trixie had been a little stressed. Jade pushed the door opened and stepped in, to find Cassie leaning by the window. "Hi guys. What were you talking about?" Jade asked smiling. "Nothing interesting. It's late. I should go have my breakfast." Cassie winked at Trixie and left. "What were you laughing about?" "Oh! It's nothing. You wanted something?" Trixie questioned. "No. I... I was just here to see if you were going for breakfast."Jade stuttered out a reply. "Oh yeah sure... let me get ready okay? I will join you there." "Okay." Saying so, she went out. Instead of going down to dining hall she went outside the cottage for a walk. She was thinking about Cassie's behaviour since she had announced that she wanted to mate Cassie. She also thought about how Trixie kept refusing to mate Jack. Finally she thought about what happened just now and she couldn't help but wonder if it was related at all. Heavy dread settled in her heart. Jade started making her way back inside cottage. She stopped with her hand on door knob and sighed thinking what she was going to do if Cassie loved Trixie instead of her. _________________ Trixie: Trixie woke up to the sound of someone banging the door loudly. Trixie was surprised. She was a light sleeper and usually woke up to softest of the sounds. Trixie opened the door to see who was disturbing her so early in the morning. She was surprised to see Cassie in the door with a sheepish expression on her face. "Hi. Good morning. Sorry to disturb you. It's just I have an important..." Cassie began. "Whoa... slow down. I am still trying to wake up." Trixie said rubbing her eyes. "Sorry. Had a good sleep?" "Yes. Better than I had in ages." Trixie said surprise colouring her words. Cassie came inside and sniffed a bit. "Hmm... probably you had a guardian angel here. That's why you slept so soundly." Feeling confused, Trixie just looked at her. Then shaking her head, went to splash some water on her face. "What you wanted to talk about?" "Jade." Cassie just replied in a word. "What about her?" "I would like to marry her before marking her as mine. But I want it to be a surprise wedding. I need your help. Yours and Liz's." "Okay." Trixie came back in room scrubbing her face on a towel. "Are you sure about it?" "About marrying Jade? Yes. About her taste and choices? No. That's where I will need your help. We have to plan this wedding very nicely and in secret. I want to be tied to her in every way imaginable." "Okay. When and where do you want to do this?" "As soon as possible. We should do it in the circle. You know, where you and Mary had fought? That place is used for every important occasion." "Yes. Good idea. We can totally plan a beautiful outdoors wedding with flowers and an acoustic guitar. She would love it. I guess the only problem will come in dress fitting." "Yes. I hadn't thought of that." "Probably because your thoughts are filled with Jade." Trixie winked. "Oh dear, not only of her but also of her and bed and..." "Okay... Okay. Stop. I am sorry I ever tried to tease you. I don't need those images of Jade and you." Cassie laughed and Trixie joined in. That's when the door knocked and Trixie skipped to door and opened it to let Jade inside. After Jade left, Trixie went to take a shower. She turned on the shower and thought about last night's dream. It was a good dream. She thought about how it had felt to sleep in someone's arms. The thought that someone was there to protect you, to care for you. It had made her feel safe. Yes, it was a good dream. Trixie then changed in to a tank top and shorts. The air in the forest was humid and warm so it felt better to dress in shorts. She walked down the steps to have breakfast. She entered the dining room and searched for Jade. She was nowhere to be seen. She scanned the room twice. When she saw Liz and Sam huddled together and making googly eyes at each other over breakfast; an idea occurred to her about how to get Jade for dress fitting without arousing much suspicion. The Coven Ch. 06 Jade: Worried about what Cassie must be feeling, Jade continued to stroll through the pack lands. She chose the path that wove through forest area. She was walking silently contemplating her thoughts. Her heart and brain were warring with each other. She felt tired after walking for an hour or so. She was quite near the border of the pack. She thought of turning back but she wasn't ready. So seeking out a stone, she leaned against it and closed her eyes. After a minute or so, she heard a twig breaking and her eyes snapped open. Her head swivelled from side to side trying to find the source of noise. She realized that she was alone and vulnerable. So she quickly climbed a tree and started watching the area around her. She spotted a wolf moving slowly through bushes. It stopped a little ways away from the tree. Instinctively Jade knew it was the boundary line of pack. Thinking it must be a member of pack and she freaked out unnecessarily, Jade started climbing down but stopped at the entry of an intruder. He felt vaguely familiar. She couldn't see who it was because of all the leaves in between. She tried to sense what form of creature it was. She closed her eyes and concentrated on the aura of power around the creature. Her eyes snapped open. Angara! Her mind screamed and told her to run. Her fear made her broadcast to Trixie and Liz such that whatever she saw and heard they could too. She thought about running quietly. 'Stop.' Trixie's voice in head commanded. 'Don't move. A slight noise might give away your position. Watch what's happening. But be careful. Can you get closer without anyone noticing?' 'No. I am scared.' 'Don't be. Cassie will be there soon.' Liz tried to pacify Jade. 'Cassie? No. Don't send her. What if she gets hurt?' 'Jade, dear, she is a vampire. Stealth is in their very nature. Jade broadcast what you are seeing to Jack. Can you?' Trixie questioned. 'No. We are not yet integrated in his pack completely. Nor are we related.' 'Jade, don't be scared. I am getting Jack and Cassie must have already reached there.' 'I don't see her.' All of a sudden the branch Jade was sitting on quivered; she nearly let out a shriek but for the hand on her mouth. She saw that it was Cassie. Cassie motioned her to be quiet. Soon enough Jack in his wolf form and Trixie sitting on his back came through forest running silently. Jack halted a little way away and sent out something to Cassie. Cassie picked Jade up as if she weighed nothing and set her down near Trixie, reaching them in a blink of an eye. Trixie held Jade close. Cassie nodded to her and went back up in the trees. Jade knew instinctively that she was trying to get closer to Angara to hear them out. Jade whimpered and Trixie's arms around her tightened. Jade didn't want Trixie's comfort. She craved Cassie's arms. ________________ Trixie: "How would you like to get married?" Trixie asked Sam. Sam and Liz jumped, separating from each other. Jack sitting beside Sam also started at Trixie's question. "What?" "Married?" "We don't need to..." Three of them began exclaiming. Trixie raised both hands and said, "Please let me explain. Cassie wants to marry Jade. But it's supposed to be a surprise. So if we tell her that you two are getting married. It will be easier for us to plan even when she is around and we can get her try a dress or two for fun and everything..." Trixie let it trail. "Is Jade ready for marriage though?" Sam asked. "Well she wants to mate me. So how is getting married any different?" Cassie spoke up. "Gosh Cassie... You scared me." Trixie said whirling. "But wouldn't she want to plan her own wedding?" Liz asked. "Trixie... Liz... Help me. Angara." Unexpectedly Jade's voice rang in Trixie's mind. Trixie and Liz suddenly seemed to focus, their pupils expanding briefly. "Cassie, Angara is at the boundary of pack land and Jade is there alone. She's sitting on a tree." Cassie ran out of the dining hall before Trixie could complete her sentence. Jade thought about running quietly. 'Stop.' Trixie commanded mentally. 'Don't move. A slight noise might give away your position. Watch what's happening. But be careful. Can you get closer without them noticing?' Jack also stood up, "I should go help them. Let me assemble a team and I'll be off." Trixie put a hand on his shoulder and whispered, "Don't call anyone. There is a wolf from pack out there meeting him probably without coercion or force. It might mean a coup. How about just two of us go and investigate. Cassie and Jade are also there. We might be able to get some information without them knowing anything." "How do we get out without anyone noticing? If I left in middle of eating, everyone will suspect something." Jack whispered back. Trixie thought about that, "Kiss me for a minute or two then run with me in your arms. Everyone will think... well you know... that we..." and she blushed. "Brilliant." Sam flashed a smile. Jack frowned but scooped her up in his arms and kissed her deeply. His tongue ran along the lips and made her shiver. He pressed her closer to himself. Her lips parted slightly and his tongue slid in of its own violation. He tasted and probed her. Suddenly breaking the kiss he lifted her in his arms and carried her out. Everyone had been watching their performance and eyes followed their exit. Trixie was blushing crimson. Jack's worry had slightly abated. But he set her down roughly, stripped all of his clothes and shifted to wolf in less than a minute. The wolf glanced back at her and crouched a bit. It looked as if he was asking her to climb up on his back. Trixie climbed hesitantly. As soon as she did the wolf started running. Trixie held onto his neck, her hands full of fur. Trixie started enjoying the run. The caress of wind on her skin and her hair flying behind felt nice. However it was too short. Jack stopped his nose in air. Trixie took that as the sign that they were nearby. He softly padded near the tree a little ways away from where he spotted Jade and Cassie. Jack wanted to growl, Trixie felt the rumble began. So she stroked his fur softly. Jack stopped growling. Jack seemed to mentally converse something to Cassie. She leapt down, put Jade near them and moved stealthily closer. Trixie got down and held Jade. After a minute though she let Jade go. Trixie felt that Jade didn't want her. Jack nudged her hand with his nose and started walking back towards den. Trixie followed his lead and followed him towing Jade with her. When they were a safe distance away, she asked Jack, "Why are we leaving Cassie behind?" Jack turned to look at her but Trixie couldn't understand his expression as he was in wolf form. Jack turned again and continued walking. Instead of going inside cottage, he went to the circle. Trixie understood something is really wrong. She mentally asked Liz to come and get Jade. Jack went to the edge of the circle and changed to human form. He sat down, leaning against tree trunk and with his head in his hands. Trixie didn't enter the circle and watched him with Jade from where they were standing. Jade turned to Trixie, "What's wrong?" Her voice was filled with fear. "Let me find out. You go to Liz. I am sure Cassie will be home soon." Trixie replied. Jade nodded and left her side. Trixie moved towards Jack. She stood before him. He didn't look up or acknowledge her presence. Trixie placed a hand on his shoulder. He still didn't move. So she sighed and sat down waiting for him to say something. As she waited, many thoughts raced through her mind. She thought that she and her friends would have to leave this place. She thought as an Alpha he would ask Sam and Cassie to leave with them because of their chosen mates. Most were filled with worry about her friends, but she was surprised that she was worried about Jack as well. Since there was still no sound from him, Trixie thought about what she felt about Jack. The kiss had been passionate even though it was fleeting. She didn't believe that he was her mate but she knew that there was something between them. She tried to recollect all that she had heard about interspecies mating after Martha's death. It was then that Jack moved. His face was livid. He got up and started pacing. Trixie kept her face averted due to his lack of clothes. Cassie was just coming through the edges of forest. Her hair was in disarray due to the speed of her running. She came to stand near Trixie where Jack was pacing. __________________ Jack: He started pacing the circle. His pack members had suffered once because of Angara. Now that they had his daughter in the pack, it was likely that they will suffer again. And now Angara had a pack member helping him. He could ask them to leave but the more he thought about it the more he realized that it would serve to disintegrate the pack not to mention the disappointment of his family and his mate. He couldn't think of a way that would enable him to stop Angara and protect every member of his pack. He feared he would be seen as weak as his father had seemed. He was over a century older and he still seemed a novice in this matter. Feeling vulnerable, hurt and angry; he turned and hit a tree trunk with his fist. The tree split in two and collapsed on another tree and finally fell down. Out of the corner of eye he saw Trixie jump, his frustration was still lingering but he reined in his temper. He strode over to where Trixie and Cassie were waiting for him and sank down to ground again. For a while, no one said anything. Then Trixie asked tentatively, "Who was the wolf?" It was Cassie who replied, "Mary." One word was enough to make Trixie understand. "But she submitted to me... so why is she doing this now?" "Apparently since you aren't yet integrated fully in pack, in her mind her submission to you don't count. She hated being made to appear weak in front of pack; she wants to get back at you for it." "Do you know what deal they have made?" Trixie asked. "Every detail about pack and her help for takeover in exchange for making her Alpha bitch." This time it was Jack who replied. "I heard through Alpha connection." Everyone was silent once again. "I should probably go check on Jade." Cassie said. "Actually get Sam, Liz and Jade here. We should discuss a plan." Jack said. "We must tell Nadia too." Trixie murmured as Cassie left. "Yes. I suppose she will want to know. It's better if we talk with her at the same time. I will tell Cassie to bring them at lake. Come." Jack offered her his hand. Trixie took it and at once Jack felt a bit calmer. His mate made him feel better without even realising it. They both made their way to the lakeside in silence, each lost in their own thoughts. There was time for the swimming lessons to start. Most people were finishing breakfast. When they reached the lakeside, Jack called out to Nadia mentally. Nadia responded quickly and went to sit on her rock. "To what do I owe the pleasure Alpha?" she asked respectfully. "Angara is back." Jack replied in a flat voice. For a moment Nadia sat stunned, then her voice steel, she asked, "Are you here to tell me that you are going to hand me over?" "No Nadia. I don't want to lose any of my pack members but I have no idea how to fight him either." "Listen Nadia, it's not about just you." Trixie interrupted and then the whole story of Liz was told to Nadia. "Why that evil..." Nadia never got to complete her words as others came towards them. "Cassie filled us in. What are we going to do?" Sam asked. "I don't know." Jack replied. "Do you want us to leave?" Jade questioned. "And what... Let all of you including my brother die? Even if you left what is the guarantee that he won't attack here anyway? He has a history with pack itself. He kills for fun." Jack sounded irritated. "So we can't run. That leaves only one option. Fight." To everyone's surprise it was Liz who said that. "Sweetie... he is your father." Jade spoke softly. "Just because he lent his bloody sperm doesn't make him my bloody father. He wants only immortality. He killed my mother." Liz grounded out, angrily. "But that's another problem. How do we fight him? We don't even know what his new tricks will be." Jack said. "There is one way to find out." Trixie smiled looking at Jade. "Of course, Jade can see future and tell what his attacks plan will be." Liz said. "Future is subject to change Liz. I cannot predict the whole fight." "First things first, if we are going to have a war then we will need warriors. But how do we know who is to be trusted and who is not?" Sam asked. "There is a way." Nadia spoke softly. She spoke so softly that everyone could barely hear her. "Truth serum." Nadia said when everyone looked at her. "You know how to make truth serum?" Trixie asked. "Not me. Greg knows it." "How does Greg knows how to make truth serum?" Jack asked one of his eyebrows raised. "Well... he actually was trying his hand at potion making. He wanted an herb that grows in water so he asked me to plant one for him. He doesn't cause any harm. He just wanted to learn." The last sentences came out defensively and Jack's eyebrows rose again. "Is he your mate, Nadia?" Sam questioned gently. "What are you, Dr. Love?" Jack questioned Sam mentally. "Merely observing brother, merely observing." Sam replied in kind. "I feel something for him but I don't see how that is possible. I am not able to get out of water and he is not able to remain in water for long." Nadia sounded sad. "I might be able to look up something in my spell books for you." Trixie offered. Jack cleared his throat, "I am calling Greg here. Let's see what he has to say about truth serum. If he can make it then we can separate the friends from enemies." "It's certainly a start." Trixie said. When Greg came, he took one look at the gathering and came to stand between Alpha Jack and Nadia. "It was all my idea, Alpha. Please don't punish her." "Your idea?" Jack questioned. "To learn about potion creation. She had no idea what exactly I was planning." "What exactly you were planning Greg?" Jack sounded all Alpha. "I was researching potion that would allow me inside of water." "You were searching that because of...." Jack let his question trail. Greg lowered his eyes. "She is your mate isn't she?" Jack questioned. Greg gave a small nod fearfully, "I know that interspecies mating is frowned upon Alpha." "But not in this pack Greg." Jack said quietly. "You have joined this pack only a couple of years ago. But you should know this about us now." Greg lowered his head further. Trixie elbowed Jack and he came to the topic. "Okay Greg, can you make truth serum?" "Yes Alpha. How much do you need?" "For the whole pack." "Alpha?" Greg began. "I will tell you later Greg." Nadia spoke up shyly. "Okay. I will need at least a whole day to gather ingredients and cook the serum." "Do we have that much of time?" Cassie questioned. "I can help pinpoint the exact date and time of attack. It will be in forefront of his mind. I will need to concentrate real hard for it." Jade said looking at Cassie. "Let's get you to east of pack lands. There is a small clearing with fountain very quiet and peaceful." Cassie said towing Jade with her already. _______________ Liz: "You want any help Greg?" Trixie asked. "I would certainly appreciate it Madam Alpha." "I am not Madam Alpha Greg." Trixie replied. "But... during breakfast..." "Long story. Maybe another time. What would you require Greg?" Trixie asked. Greg rattled off a list of herbs. Liz stood there listening to their conversation. Sam was worried about her and she could feel it. But Liz's mind was made. She was going to face her mom's killer. Her alliance would lie with Trixie and Jade. Both of them had been speaking truth when they had told her the story. Both of them were ready to fight to save her and her mom had given up her life for Liz. She would always think of Angara as her mom's killer and never her father. "I will help you." Liz said determination ringing in her words. "You can help by gathering ingredients Madam Beta." Greg said walking away. "Madam Beta?" Liz questioned staring at his retreating back. "He sees the relationship between us and addresses you accordingly." Sam replied. "Come, let us go down to greenhouse and gather up herbs." He led the way and she followed still lost in thought. When he halted, she stumbled into him. He righted her and pulled the door to the green house open. She stepped inside. Immediately her senses were assailed by the sight and scent of various flowers in bloom. She was reminded of their first date. She blushed slightly, but enough that Sam noticed. Sam pulled her close and picked a flower from nearby plant and placed it in her hair. She blushed even darker. He leaned down and sought her lips. He kissed her slowly, teasingly at first then increased the intensity as his passion ignited fire in her. She quivered and pressed herself closer to him. He pushed the door to greenhouse shut and slipped his hands under her top. He found that she wasn't wearing any bra. Smiling against her lips, he stroked her breasts lightly. She arched herself in his hands. He laughed and pulled off her top. He then lowered his mouth to suckle her breasts. His tongue drew patterns on her skin and she moaned. "Mark me Sam." Sam's breath stopped and he asked, "Are you sure love?" "Yes. I want to be your mate." "Love during our mating my wolf will come to front of my mind and will have to bite you in order to mark you as his." "I understand." Liz replied. But Sam saw her hesitation. "He can wait love." "No. I need him to mark me now more than ever." "Love, is this about the war?" "Yes. If something happens to me, I want to die as your mate." "Love, nothing will happen to you." "Sam, I know that we will give him tough fight to win. But can you guarantee that none of the people I love will be harmed?" "What does that have to do with this?" "Everything Sam. Please mark me." Liz pleaded. "Liz..." "Sam. Please..." "Okay love, but remember my wolf loves you as much as I do." "Yes." Liz breathed. Sam picked her up and led her to a corner of greenhouse which held the sweetest smelling roses of all time. He laid her down on the floor and removed his clothes. She watched him appreciatively. He then sat on his knees and removed her jeans to find that she wasn't wearing any underwear. He touched her bare skin with his hands. He traced her stomach slowly moving down between her legs. She was very wet there. He leaned down and smelled her there. His wolf was fully aware inside him and it was the wolf that started licking her clit. With only his tongue shifted to that of wolf's he brought her immense pleasure. When she came down from her orgasm, he slipped inside her and started moving slowly. His hands started caressing her nipples and she started peaking again. This time instead of letting her reach orgasm, he pulled out from her and flipped her onto her stomach. He entered her from behind. The feelings in this position were stronger and she started cresting once more. She sort of panicked when she felt fur on her back but relaxed when she remembered his words from before. The wolf was taking her harder and faster than ever and when they both reached bliss together. The wolf then bit down on her shoulder where the neck joined. The pain of the bite was overshadowed by the pleasure. She felt a burst of energy tinged with magic surround her and then ebb away slowly. And when she came down from bliss, it was human hands that held her. All the colours were somehow brighter. All smells more intensified. She felt a bit shocked when she looked at a plant and she was able to feel its life pulse. The Coven Ch. 06 There was sound of hurried feet and the door to greenhouse was knocked at. A musical voice announced the intention to enter and the person to whom the voice belonged to entered. As soon as she saw Trixie, Liz scrambled to cover herself. Sam helped her and Trixie stood with her back towards them. When they were dressed, Liz called out to Trixie softly, almost embarrassed at being caught in greenhouse. "You have mated Liz." Trixie said to Sam, "You have awoken her full powers." The Coven Ch. 07 Trixie: "You have mated Liz." Trixie said to Sam, "You have awoken her full powers." "That's a good thing, right?" Sam asked. "No." "But it means she will be able to help wounded warriors and..." Sam began worriedly. "Sam..." Trixie said calmly, "She is not trained to use those powers. Her mother would have been a better teacher for her as Liz has inherited her powers from Martha. I have no idea myself of how to implement these powers other than what I saw and read. One mistake and instead of healing she would be damaging the person." Liz now looked very worried. "I am so sorry." She murmured. Sam held her comfortingly in his arms, "Well, I am not. I am not sorry that we mated." Trixie started as she realised that her words could be taken two ways, "I am sorry, Liz. I didn't mean that you have made a mistake or anything... I just meant that we would have to make sure that you are prepared to the best of your abilities before you use your powers on anyone. Now let's start gathering ingredients for the serum, okay?" "Yes." Liz sniffed Trixie left them to their work and walked out of green house towards the forest looking for herbs that Greg would require. She had walked quite a long way from the pack grounds and was intent on searching for the herbs. She suddenly felt a presence around her, watching her, tracking her movements. Unable to pinpoint the exact location of her tracker and not entirely sure of their intentions, she maintained the facade that she had no idea of her tracker. She bends down to pick some leaves off a small shrub and a bullet whistled past her and lodged in the tree. Almost immediately she straightened and another bullet from the opposite direction flew past, grazing her arm. She began running, but no matter which way she chose her attackers were close behind. The worst part was that she did not know the position of her attackers. They seemed to be everywhere. Trixie knew one thing, that she cannot lead them to pack grounds. So she ran in the opposite direction, leading them away from the pack. She kept running, stumbling and dodging the bullets. Finally she burst through the trees in a clearing and a bullet hit her in the shoulder. She stumbled to the centre of the clearing and another bullet hit her in calf. Trixie fell down. She started calling on her powers to protect her but she felt a shadow fall across her. She looked up to see who it was. Mary was smiling down at her with a gun in her hand. "Surprised?" Mary questioned. Trixie didn't reply or moved; she tried contacting Jade and Liz but was not able to reach any one. "Don't bother. Angara has placed special spells on you. You will not be able to contact your coven or use your powers either. Your powers while impressive take up a lot of your concentration and so a surprise attack would throw you enough that you would not be able to call upon them. Some Alpha bitch you are, you cannot even handle a surprise attack." Saying so, Mary started laughing a bit maniacally. "You wouldn't be much better off either, if you have to use a gun instead of your powers" spat Trixie in pain. "Oh honey, they are a part of genius. See once I reach pack, I would tell Jack that you were wandering too far from pack grounds and some human hunters thought you were a wild animal and started shooting at you and you died because of them. Because of the bullet wounds, no one would doubt me." "What about human smell?" Trixie asked, not for the sake of curiosity but trying to stall her. "What's Angara for?" Mary asked and gestured to her right. Trixie turned her head to see Angara standing looking down at her. There was madness in his eyes and his lips split in a cruel grin. "Does this position mean so much to you that you would betray your own pack?" Trixie asked Mary. "Quit stalling." Angara commanded, "Finish her off. We have to take out her friend as well." "No, Jade." Trixie screamed. "Yes, Jade and the bloodsucker Cassie will die as well." Mary sneered. "Mary, listen to me. He is just using you. He will kill you after he has no use left for you. Trust me I know." Trixie said in a desperate attempt. She was trying to summon all of her powers. Unfortunately for her, whatever spell Angara had used was strong but in a bid for freedom Trixie utilized all her resources and pushed them away. Scared that she would set free, Mary pointed the gun to her heart and shot. Angara lifted all the spells and then sprayed two human smells in the clearing, laughing to himself. They then left her body in the clearing and walked away. ____________________ Jade: "It's a beautiful place." Jade thought to herself. There was a fountain in a small clearing and the perfume of small, pretty flowers was wafting in the air. Cassie tugged on her arm and they settled in the grass surrounding the fountain. "Why is there a fountain here?" Jade questioned. "It was built on a romantic whimsy by Jack's dad for his mate. After that most of the pack comes down here for first dates. It's sort of tradition now to bring your partner here at least once in a while." "The place has a happy, romantic feel to it." Jade commented. "So it does..." Cassie murmured and pulled Jade close for a kiss. One taste of Cassie and Jade was wet down there. Cassie smiled against her lips as she smelt Jade's arousal. Jade sighed and pulled back, "I should really be concentrating on trying to find out what Angara's plans are." Cassie nodded and shifted back. Jade closed her eyes and concentrated her powers to near future. She closed her ears to sound of the water, of Cassie breathing and went deep in her trance. She was in a tunnel of darkness with a bright spot of light so far away that it might be an opening. Jade concentrated on that spot of light until it grew and surrounded her. She saw Liz facing Angara, he was asking her to come along with him and Liz was refusing. "But your coven members have left you because for them their life was more important than yours. Come along sweetheart. I will never hurt you after all I am your father. I will stay with you and protect you." Angara was saying. "But what about my mate?" Liz asked. "He is not your real mate honey. He used you. Can't you feel it?" Angara asked. "You killed mom." Liz screamed. "No Liz. She was my mate. How could I have harmed her?" Angara asked Liz, "Jade and Trixie were lying to you. They killed her and kidnapped you. So that they can train you and use your powers to stay alive." Liz was confused, and Jade saw that she had started to sway in Angara's direction. But what confused Jade was that where were she and Trixie and Cassie... Jade decided to back up a bit and let the darkness of tunnel surround her once more. Focusing on the events prior to what she saw, she channelled her energy towards them and walked towards light once more. Jade saw that the house was burning and various creatures were running out of the house, the kids were getting trampled. All the creatures that escaped the burning house were running out to be trapped by monstrous creatures that were made of mud like substance. The werewolves trying to fight them were losing spells were ineffectual against them. She could see Jack getting tired. A monstrous creature lifting Jack and locking him up in a cage made with special metals and spells made to withstand the fury of a dozen werewolves. Jade was getting more and more confused. She simply couldn't see where they were in the battle. She knew she was over exerting herself and she must stop but she was getting antsy. So she decided to take a break and started relaxing in order to come out of her trance. All the sounds around her start invading her senses once again. Jade slowly opened her eyes to see a gun pointing at her. She looked up startled to see the faces of Mary and Angara smirking at her. She turned around to see Cassie struggling against some unseen force holding her motionless. Jade turned around to face Angara. "Vampiress" Angara said, "I have heard that vampires go feral if something happens to their mate. Let's check that theory out shall we?" Cassie lets out an inhuman scream. "Hush" Mary hissed. "Someone from the pack might hear her." Suddenly as a babble of voice reached them, Mary gets scared and she runs to edge of small clearing to check the interruption. Angara too joins her and Mary not wasting any time points the gun at Jade and fires. Angara and Mary then disappear from the scene. Cassie felt the spell give way and pulled against her unseen restraints. After freeing herself she ran to her mate tears streaming down her eyes. Cassie rips open her wrist and tried to feed her mate. Jade swallowed the blood pouring down her throat and then looked Cassie in her eyes, "Be strong my love." ______________ Jack: Jack was feeling antsy for no particular reason. He was still thinking about what had happened in so short a time. He was thinking about what his father would have done in face of this coup. Suddenly Jack reeled over; pain that could only mean the loss of pack members assailed him. Frantically he tested the bonds of all the pack members. He realized that the only bonds that were missing were of Trixie and Jade. Jack let his wolf take over and he howled his pain for all the jungle to hear The whole pack sensed Jack's pain; even Liz was overwhelmed with his pain. She panicked and quickly tested her bond with her coven only to find no reply from them. Strange doubts started invading her thoughts, "When Trixie and Jade found out about Angara had they fled opting to save their own lives?" Jack felt each thoughts of every member of the pack; he felt Liz's doubt and Cassie's despair. Jack also felt smugness and happiness radiating from a few young wolves and elation from Mary's bond. Greg came running to Jack. Jack was salivating, his wolf was dreaming of burying his teeth in the flesh of traitors and ripping them apart limb from limb. He saw Greg edging closer to him and snapped at him. Immediately Greg lied down and showed his belly. Jack came closer to him his wolf not able to see submission of the elf. Greg was shivering uncontrollably. When Jack sniffed him, Sam's voice sounded in his head, "To win any battle wisdom is required along with strength." Jack stiffened, not willing to listen to his brother but Sam went on, "Get him to make truth serum at earliest. We will make these traitors to give away their plans in front of everyone. Facing such shame even the families of traitors will side with us in this battle. They will handle traitors on their own and make sure Nadia is safe. Trixie and Jade will be avenged my brother." With difficulty Jack was able to concentrate and get his wolf under control. He backed off Greg slowly and shifted to human form. "Make the serum as fast as you can Greg and this time only for a small group of about 10 people." "Yes Alpha." Greg replied. "Nadia..." "I will go secure her." Jack replied. Jack started running towards the lake.
