I will warn you its changed around but basically the same, there are a lot of smaller details that have been changed though. I know some of you have been waiting a while for this, I hope you like it (: - Sasha ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Slipping as silently as a mouse Annabeth weaved through trees moving as fast and as graceful as a jungle cat. Her senses were on fire taking in every single detail of the forest in this moonless night, every sound of dried leaves cracking under her delicate strides, every taste of night air thick with moisture, and every feel of the cool air the rushed past every inch of her being. No one had detected her missing presence yet; but still time was of the essence. She had no idea where she was running. But, she defiantly knew what she was running from. Her only motivation was the image of her father as he used his last breath to prevent the very fate she had been condemned to. She felt it only right to free herself and in that honoring him and what he died for. Annabeth's heart ached along with every other muscle but she couldn't feel them. The glow of freedom was beginning to cloud her senses. But it had gone too far to get sloppy; with her eyes peeled and chin up she swerved past trees and leapt over fallen logs like an elegant doe running from an invisible assailant. Suddenly she could feel and see the forest growing thinner, a tip off that she would soon run into a road or civilization. Either way was a godsend the faster she could mix in with other people and mask her own scent the better, maybe she had a chance; just maybe. She was right as she nearly tumbled out of the forest as the lights of society temporally blinded her dilated eyes. It shocked her how close human society was getting to mingling with the not so human society. Yet, that was actually her savior in this situation. Looking both ways, like the childhood saying that had been imprinted on her brain since the beginning she darted across the street. The stealth she had maintained in the woods would no longer be applicable. But she could see the muted lights of a city at rest in the distance, which meant salvation. Again she began running keeping to the shadows and away from roads; the wind whipping through her hair, unfortunately. Annabeth felt as if her scent was peeling off her body leaving an invisible trail she knew they would soon follow. She didn't have long and she was beginning to feel her muscles again past the numbing effect of the wind. That was the instant she felt the air shift around her; the pressure changing. She jerked her head back to peer at the seeming looming edge of the woods that was a distance behind her. The noisy night animals were silent as they fled themselves, they even knew, a primal instinct set in them since the beginning of time. The predators had been set loose. The images of her two sisters were set in her mind; she had to get free for them. She would get help; she was their only hope, all they had left. Swallowing all doubts she ran again as if taking her angst out on the ground beneath her feet. But soon she would draw attention moving as swiftly and gracefully as she did, she needed another plan. Looking around she seemed to be in a deserted factory district not far from the heart of the city, her salvation. All of a sudden a blood curdling howl ripped through the night causing her to jump and lose concentration. They were close very close. She knew she couldn't run anymore, in a split second decision she decided to hide, that was her final hope. There were rows and rows of what looked to be sleeping factories and abandoned ones alike. Pressing her palm to the rough surface of the old brick building she slid down one quietly slipping behind it to what looked like a dumping ground for access materials lay. There were long industrial sized metal beams emerged from the ground standing up vertically; creating a maze of rusted and chipped ten foot tall ladder beams, perfect for her purpose . Swiftly she weaved through the tall beams trying to get as far in between them as possible; which was her downfall. She sucked in a breath through her teeth and froze. It took control not to wail out in pain. She hadn't been paying enough attention to her peripheral vision, thus not paying attention to the sharp dagger like edge of a beam. It had dug a gash into her upper arm. Collin sat miles away seemingly un-entertained by his dinner company. His mind was somewhere else tonight, for some reason he didn't feel right. It's probably the new moon, he thought to himself. The lack of moon always did do weird things to him. Sighing he readjusted himself, not feeling comfortable in his suit. Sure this dinner was important but he couldn't concentrate. James, his friend for many years sat across from him doing the work of keeping conversation interesting as Collin kept peering behind him distracted. That was when it hit him. On a particular glance behind him a breeze rushed past him ruffling his short blonde hair causing his nostrils to flare and his pupils to dilate. This wasn't the usual wind filled with mingling perfumes and cologne along with the wilderness scents of the nearby woods it was better than he could have imagined. It was fresh blood. But this blood was abnormal a neon color among a sea of faded ones. It was better, way better. The very thought tasting that blood had him reeling. Gripping the table he willed himself to stay in his seat and most of all under control. His jaw ached to bite into soft supple flesh, his tongue craved the splash of warm blood, but most of all his head was pounding. The inner beast was rattling its cage sending shock waves of pain through his skull. Collin knew he had to do something before his finger tips split the rock of the finely polished marble of the dinner table. He would investigate that blood, scratch that, he had to investigate that blood. Politely he excused himself from the table to take a pretend call he would never receive. The second he was out of sight of the restaurant he pulled off his tie literally ripping off him with a savage growl, he didn't have any patience tonight. Slipping into the shadows away from the lights of city life he finally showed his true self taking off toward the smell. Annabeth sat perched near the top of a beam, wedged between two. She was shaking now not from the cold but from would await her if she was found. But, she couldn't think of that negativity, she would get free. Her breaths was shallow and uneven as she tried to quiet even the most needed thing of everyday life, breathing. That was the moment she could physically feel the air prickling they had entered the junk yard she was in. Annabeth froze nearly as still as a statue except for her small trembles every breath. If she was running from any other pack they wouldn't dare to go this far into a city in wolf, for the fear of discovery. But this wasn't like any other pack, they were rogues. It was completely dark in the junk yard but her high senses could still see. At the moment she couldn't tell if the was good or bad as a breath hitched in her throat. Nearly directly below her was a gigantic wolf its head was bowed as it sniffed the ground. It was as beautiful as it was dangerous; its coat was dark grey with a mix of lighter gray mixed in. Its head jerked up as its giant ears flew forward looking for some sort of sound. She knew it had found the shallow pool of her blood below. As drops of it had slid down her arm, gravity had taken control sending it plummeting to the ground. Time seemed to slow down as its huge head began its slow movement of looking up. Her breathing quickened and heart rate took off as if just realizing the emanate danger she was in. But, that only quickened the wolf's movement as its shocking lime green eyes finally locked with hers. Suddenly it looked toward the stars and let out another loud howl. She knew what it meant, 'we found her.' Once again they shouldn't be howling that close to the city it could have alerted the humans. But once again they didn't care. The next moment she looked down there were two giant masses. The second was just as beautiful as the first. It was night black with cruel looking golden brown eyes. But, they were both looking up at her a seemingly wolf smile on their muzzles. She jumped as all of a sudden the grey wolf jumped up to rest its front paws on the same beam she was wedged in only a few inches below her. It snapped its jaws just inched below her foot snarling. "I suggest you go quietly." A deep voice called from below. She nearly screamed not expecting a voice. But another look down showed the black wolf had shifted into a hybrid, basically an upright talking wolf. Annabeth didn't reply she didn't think he deserved one. "Are you going to crawl down like a good little girl or are we going to have to drag you down?" The hybrid stated as the wolf just kept snapping at her foot, it enjoyed watching her squirm. "No." Annabeth refused her voice sounding stronger than she thought possible. Her worst fear had come true they had found her, but still she wouldn't go without a fight. "Fine." He sighed. "Henderson will get you down." He ordered crossing his furry arms and turning away. At that moment the giant wolf stood completely up against the beam, plenty tall enough to reach her. Annabeth screamed as its mammoth jaws locked on to her hurt arm flinging her to the ground. She felt as if she could feel the sting of each of its giant, sharp teeth puncture her skin individually. Then when he threw her down, she felt the teeth dig deeper; digging them a home in her fragile arm. Even once the wolf's teeth redrew taking with it the pressure, the pain was excruciating. It had flung her down jerking her arm into an unnatural position. She screamed in pain. All of it was coming together from the fall, the bite, and the sickening feel of a bone crunching. The pain was excruciating. That's when Collin hear it the screams that was followed by the smell of fresh gushing blood and when he turned the corner to lay his eyes on an abnormal site. A giant wolf stood looming over a girl that lay on the ground on her side holding her arm covered in blood. While a half man half wolf stood watching with a smirk playing on his lips. Before he knew what he was doing his suit jacket was thrown next to him, his sleeves had been bunched up to his elbows, and a hiss had erupted from his mouth. They heard him instantly as both of them turned to look at him hate in their eyes. Collin felt a strange need to protect this girl and that's exactly what he was going to do. His eyes shifted the color of blood and his fangs elongated to rest against his bottom lip. It felt as if someone had hit pause on a remote as they all stood there frozen sizing each other up. All of a sudden as if someone finally pressed play the wolf lunged. It was gigantic two times the size of an average wolf but Collin lunged directly back at it hitting it with twice the force knocking it to the ground with a yelp. But quickly it stood back up looking a little dazed. Now it was growling and barring its teeth, now that it knew the skill of its opponent. Collin just smiled as realization washed over the wolf; its eyes became slits of pure animalistic anger and the sounds emitted from its mouth matched the hatred in his lime green eyes. A wolf didn't like when someone came between him and his orders from the alpha. The wolf lunged with twice the power and anger, Collin barely had time to react as his arm came up in pure reflex to protect his face. This time the wolf's knife like teeth scraped against his arm, drawing blood and a grunt from his throat. But, Collin smiled spinning around to peer into the wolf's eyes with pure amusement in his own. This time Collin lunged at the wolf so fast it couldn't react. He wasn't going for his arm but his throat, using his fangs as weapons. He could feel the sickening rip of fur and flesh as his canines tore through its throat instantly killing it. Collin threw the limp body of the wolf down while wiping the fresh blood off of his lips onto his sleeve. Turning to were the hybrid should have been standing he smiled fiercely again but it quickly turned to a frown. The only thing he could see was the tail end of a night black wolf darting away, only its hind legs and tail visible. Collin was as disappointed as he was relieved. He hadn't had any opportunity to use his real strength in a while and enjoyed doing so. Yet, now he could get to the girl faster. Annabeth watched in amazement as the vampire and wolf dueled. It was nauseating to watch; they moved nearly to fast to comprehend. And the way they moved, it was like a killing dance; it was so graceful. It nearly took her mind off the pain she was in, nearly. She didn't know whether to be scared or relieved. There was the fear of what the vampire would do to her. On the other hand she knew what he would do to her. The unknown was looking more and more inviting. What he did next caught her eye. After releasing the dead wolf from his grip he began to begin his graceful canter toward her. She knew he wasn't going to just leave her here like she prayed. This man was gorgeous in that way only a vampire could be, nearly hauntingly beautiful. But yet, he looked young at least under twenty. His eyes that had been a glowing red in battle had shifting to bright silver. She caught herself staring; he was just so attractive, with his short blonde hair and boyish face; complete with straight handsome features and full lips. Before she knew it those full lips her eyes were fixed upon began forming words. "Where are you hurt?" He asked in a velvety smooth voice. Once again the smell of her blood hit him and the beast roared. But, he kept control thanks to the exercise he just gave it. "Y-You're bleeding." She murmured staring at the thin cut running from his wrist to half way down to his elbow on the underside of his arm. He didn't answer but instead bent his elbow and maneuvered it so he could run his tongue down the cut. In the next second the only thing that remained of the cut was a thin pink scar that was rapidly diminishing. "Now, where are you hurt?" "My arm." She groaned still clutching at it as she lay on her side. 'I-I think it's broken." "Can I?" He requested bending down to sit on his heels nodding at her arm. "Please." She nearly laughed through her agony. Tenderly his cool finger tips brushed her arm causing her to flinch. "It's okay." He soothed using a voice that made her really believe it would be. What he was really looking for was any dislocations and to see if it was broken. Using gentle pressure he lightly probed along the bone and stopped before he reached the tooth marks that were still bleeding, at that moment he was amazed by his strength. "W-What are you doing?" Annabeth stammered as she watched him extend his fangs and bite into his own wrist. "This will take the pain away." He murmured reaching over with his non bleeding hand to caress her cheek softly with his thumb. "What am I supposed—" Her question was unfinished as he showed her exactly what she was supposed to do. He gently pushed his wrist on to her lips. "Drink," He urged. But she just stared up at him confusion in her eyes. "I'll explain if you drink." He compromised. Her answer was heard as she obeyed. "Vampire's blood is very powerful. If a human drinks it, they will temporarily have a surge of power. In your instants it should heal your arm in minutes." Collin had only given his blood to one other, but it was unintentional. Sharing blood was never taken lightly. He was confused. Why did he care so much? "That's enough." He indicated pulling his wrist to his own mouth he licked the puncture wounds instantly sealing them. Moving over he sat behind her and wrapped an arm around her waist supporting her as he saw the lazy look in her eye. But, that was a side effect; the power can be tiring. Annabeth could feel her arm healing. The skin was reattaching and the bone too, ten times faster than her already accelerated healing could. But, her favorite part was that it no longer hurt, his blood was like the best pain reliever known to man. But she also felt the extreme exhaustion that followed. Her mind was racing to process everything that had happened tonight. From the pain to this vampire; he was nothing like she expected. She expected heartless and uncaring, he was the opposite. She was confused. "What's your name?" She asked leaning heavily against him. "Collin." "Hi, I'm Annabeth." She smiled. He chuckled, she was apparently getting loopy. That was the last of her words as her head fell back to rest on his shoulder and her breathing became even. He wouldn't blame her; he was actually surprised she didn't pass out faster. Standing up he lifted her easily with him. Collin smiled as she laid her head on his shoulder and nuzzled her nose against his neck in her sleep as he began walking. It Was Fate Ch. 02 "James..." James Allenton stirred in his bed. Instinctively he reached for his mate before his mind, foggy with sleep registered the voice and where it was coming from. Once he was confident she was beside him his head shot up and his eyes snapped open to scan the large dark room with quick and efficient strokes. With a grunt his neck gave way as his head fell back to the pillow, he should have known. Collin. "James..." Collin sung with a hint of amusement caressing his tone. He knew his friend well and mornings were not, by far, his favorite time of day. It was just all too easy to slip into his mind that had been restful and unguarded. "Get the fuck out of my head." James growled, if growling was possible in one's mind. "I need a favor." Collin stated smiling to himself he already knew what James was going to say, or more like think. "That's all you ever need." He whined. "Well anyways, give Stella my debit card and tell her to buy a whole new wardrobe for a girl about her size." "What the hell Collin?" He asked. "Wh-" "Just have her do it. Thanks." At that he exited James's mind. Collin lay directly in the middle of his bed with his arms behind his head as he stared down at the beautiful creature sprawled atop him. She looked completely peaceful with her lips slightly parted and her caramel hair tumbled around her face and his chest. It seemed like she was unconsciously attracted to the coolness of his body. All night she had seeked him out and pressed herself against him no matter what position he was in. Well, not that he minded. Slowly and gently Collin slipped out from underneath Annabeth ignoring her tiny moans of disapproval, but he still turned back around to brush the hair out of her face and pull the sheets up around her. Annabeth groaned and rolled over. Even her mind that had just awoken even knew. She so did not want to wake up and face this new day. With a groan she peeked out from underneath the plush white comforter out into the room that was bright with sunlight, yet it didn't take her long to pin point the sound of running water. She knew who it was, Collin. The man, no vampire that had most likely saved her life, but she wasn't going to stick around to thank him. The first thing she would do was get out of there. The white sheets and comforter slid from her body as if they were silk, which was a possibility, as she slipped silently from the bed and tip toed down the nearby hall. With the plush cream carpet beneath her feet she peeked past the corner. The coast was clear. With quick and long strides she passed the door that was billowing steam from the crack beneath it, luckily the door she was looking for was at the end of the hallway only a few feet away aka the exit. With her hand on the door knob she took a deep breath of victory and smiled. Annabeth swung the door open and slipped from it, looking back she closed it softly, but as she turned to finish her escape her breath caught in her throat. Standing not a foot away from her was James, a very shocked looking James, but James none the less. He was nearly more caught off guard than she was. Annabeth still hadn't taken a breath. Once again this man was beautiful, in the complete opposite way of Collin. He was the definition of tall, dark, and handsome, well he wasn't that tall. He stood at maybe 5'10; just a few inched above her height. She didn't know what to do as his warm brown eyes just bored into her face. At that exact moment with wide eyes, James's mind was busy sending Collin's the message: "Your little human girlfriend is attempting an escape." He couldn't just let her go. In a split second decision, that probably wasn't the best, he used his speed and strength to grab her wrist and spin her around. With her wrists now pinned behind her back she was just beginning to comprehend what had just happened, but when she did she was angry. "Let me go!" She screeched flailing and attempting to kick him, but James had been smart and had his legs glued together. Collin froze with the water beating down his back as his mind registered the message, but then he heard her scream only milliseconds afterward. It was like a switch went off in his head. It was that overwhelming need to protect her. It took everything he had not too lose control at that moment. He was nearly a blur as he sprinted from the shower all while wrapping a towel around his waist. Yet he didn't have to go far as James and Annabeth stood struggling not a foot from the door. "Let her go James." Collin commanded standing in the doorway. "Fine!" He exclaimed as he roughly pushed her directly into him, but Collin was faster and caught her before she flew into him. Yet she instantly struggled from Collin's hands like a pissed off little girl. "Get the hell out of here now before I kill you!" Collin shouted. "I mean it, now." The pain he was going through was excruciating, it was as if he was wrestling his other half in a death match. Every hit they made on each other only hurt him. He couldn't help it was either scare the hell out of Annabeth or hurt something NOW! As he pressed his forehead to the wall beside his door he punched it. It was the only way to gain control. It felt better than he ever could have imagined as his fist went through the wall as if it was made of Jello. Annabeth didn't know whether to be completely frightening or amazed. From her vantage pointed it looked as if his fist was the hole puncher and the wall the paper as it went cleanly in then back out. All of a sudden Collin turned to her, but it wasn't Collin. Again the need to protect her was present, but now that he was in full vampire the need to touch her was more overwhelming. With deliberate slow steps he approached her, but Annabeth kept walking backward in sync with his steps until her butt hit the bed and quickly moved around it. Yet, he didn't attack her he just kept on walking to her ever so slowly. There was a similar fight going on it Annabeth's head. She had to fight the unnaturally strong attraction she felt toward him and hold on to that thread of common sense that told her to run. He was everything and more than she could have ever imagined of her perfect man. His body was mouthwatering, no matter how ridiculous it sounded it really was; all 6'3 of it. Her eyes couldn't help themselves as they kept drifting to the perfect 'v' of his hipbones that disappeared beneath his low hanging white towel. She has never had such a strong craving to grab a man's boobs then at that moment. Everything looked so perfect! Yet, he was getting closer and she couldn't trust her own hands not to betray her. "Stay away from me." She warned stumbling back even more. "And put some clothes on." She demanded throwing a pair of boxers at him that she had nearly tripped over. The projectile hit him right in the chest. With that same smile he whipped off the towel and pulled on the black boxers, all for which she had closed her eyes for. She didn't want to see that part of him. She didn't have anywhere else to back away to, she was nearly in a corner, but he just kept on progressing with his eyes lock with hers. He was just so hot she almost didn't want to back away, almost, if it wasn't for the tiny fact of fangs. Annabeth closed her eyes and bowed her head, her back had hit that corner and there was nowhere else to run to. "Collin!" A female voice exclaimed. "She isn't yours!" Annabeth slowly unbowed her head and look up threw her lashes. Collin had whipped around and was now facing the three figures in the hallway nearly in a crouching attack stance. It was as if he was protecting her. "Really," A male voice agreed. Ah, but she recognized that voice it was the man from the hallway, James as Collin had called him. "You're scaring her! Just settle the fuck down before you do something stupid!" That same female voice said. The next second Annabeth looked up and was being shielded by some woman with her back to her. All she could see of this woman was her white long sleeved shirt and red pony tail. Then that all too familiar growl came from Collin again, but this time it was backed up as he literally picked up the woman that had been shielding her and threw her against the wall. It was as if a Raggedy Ann doll was just thrown by an angry child, it looked as if she weight no more than a pound. Yet, the cracking sound of the wall provided the evidence she weighed weight more that a pound. Not more than a second passed before the other two figures in the hallway attacked. At first Collin just swatted them away with his arms like flies, but then when the woman rejoined them all three of them together seemed to be able to force him into the arm chair that was in the opposite corner of the room that she was in. However it didn't seem that they would be able to hold him down for much longer. "Sweetie..." The red-haired woman called to her from her place holding down Collin."Could you come here?" Slowly she found her legs and approached her and the others. "I know this is a lot to ask of you-" "Here's the quick version." James cut her off. "Collin here is stronger than all three of us put together and if you don't do something to calm him down he will seriously injure all of us." He spoke quickly. "What do I-?" Annabeth began. "Tell him your okay and touch him! Anything!" The woman stated desperately. With a shaky hand she reached up and touched his cool face while staring into those blood red eyes, but that only seemed to cause him to struggle even more. "I'm okay." She murmured lowly her hand lightly caressing his cheek. "Sit in his lap." The other man guy grunted as he held down his right arm, while the other man held down the other, and the woman kept him in the chair. "If you're on him he won't struggle!" "I can't just-." Annabeth stated standing in front of him. "Yes you can." James groaned. "Just do it! He won't hurt you." "How do you know that?" She asked still eying Collin skeptically as he kept lunging forward a few inches, but then was being pulled right back down. "If anything he doesn't want to hurt you!" "Then what the hell was he trying to do to me, hug me?!" Annabeth snapped. "Actually..." The other man trailed off. "Well, then." Annabeth whispered to herself. Reluctantly she slid a knee on one side of him and then the other on the opposite side and slid completely onto him. He just simply stopped struggling as they released his arms. In the next second they were no longer there. As soon as the bewilderment in Collin's eyes died down and he finally realized he had been released. He stood up holding her to him as she squeaked in surprise, but it didn't take him long to take the two steps to the bed and drop her carefully to the bed. "You're on my leg." She muttered quietly looking anywhere, but at him. To her surprise he listened remarkably well as he adjusted himself to lie in between her legs. Much like an adoring puppy he began nudging his nose into her neck to make her bare it for him. Operating on complete blind faith for James words, "If anything he doesn't want to hurt you", she bared it for him with tightly closed eyes. Those words rang through her mind repeatedly as he made a shower of kisses rain from her jaw line all the way to the top of her shirt. She couldn't help as she shivered beneath him and let out an involuntarily moan as his soft lips grazed the most sensitive part of her neck. **** "How much longer before he gains control?" Eli asked inquisitively as he stood back against the wall besides Collin's door." I feel like I'm listening to a soft porno." He muttered with disgust. Eli was a mirror image of Collin's body, but they couldn't be more different. He stood at a very similar 6'2, with medium length light brown hair that had possibly grown out a little too much; which was a pity for the fact it only took light away from him deep blue eyes that could make anyone melt at his feet. James and Stella just laughed in unison not even staggering at his dark gaze. "You're just so crabby because you haven't found her yet. " Stella giggled watching Eli's Idon'tgiveafuck expression. Eli really didn't have an interest in find his 'her'. He had watched a few of his friends find there's and he was disgusted with them; the way they got all soft and gushy with them it made him want to throw up. They were vampires for Christ's sake. "I can't wait until you do, but really what kind of woman could handle you." James smiled while running his fingers through his short black hair. "Haven't found one yet," Eli smirked and in the next second he wasn't there. He couldn't take anymore. **** Annabeth lay still beneath him as his hands began to run down her sides all the way to her legs. Yet she couldn't control herself any longer a barely audible whimper escaped her lips. His touch wasn't painful nor was it to rough, if anything it was too gentle. It wasn't so much him that had brought on her noise of fright; it was the memory of a touch that wasn't so gentle. To her complete surprise he froze above her and suddenly removed his hands from her body. Yet, that wasn't the most surprising as the next thing he did was literally fly off of her. Instantly she brought her knees to her chest and hugged her arms around them, hiding her face. "James!" Collin shouted desperately from his seat back in the chair. With his hands covering his face he took three raged breaths to gain the rest of his control. Annabeth peeked over knees and watched him as he shook ever so lightly. It was the weirdest thing for her as she watched him nearly scream for James she wanted to comfort him, but she had a feeling he wasn't going to let her. Within the next second James came striding in the room with speed, stopping he looked from Annabeth to Collin from Collin to Annabeth again and again with eyebrows raised. "What's wrong?" "Did you get the stuff I asked for?" Collin asked as he rubbed his forehead with the palms of his hands. "Already by the door." "Good, could you head down to the front desk and find Annabeth a room?" He asked still not looking at anyone. James laughed. "You know we don't have any vacancies." "Then could you have Stella take her somewhere?" "No." Annabeth muttered extremely quiet, but both men heard her as they turned their heads to stare at her in surprise. "What?" Collin asked eyebrows rising. "I'm not going anywhere with him or his girlfriend." She answered stubbornly her head still resting on her knees. "You don't have a chose." Collin growled a little angry at her outburst. "Yes I do." "No-"Collin began, but was instantly cut off. "I'm not taking her anywhere against her will." James stated. "With my luck I'll hurt her by accident and then you will hurt me and I'm not in the mood for any broken limbs." Then in the next second he wasn't there. "There are clothes and anything you're going to need by the door." Collin informed her. "Go get dressed and ready. I have work to do an apparently your coming with me." He stated coldly. "I'm not going anywhere with you." She murmured lowly still not looking at him. "Once again you don't have an option." He growled. "Like hell I don't." "Fine, if you want to do this the hard way." Collin mumbled. Using his speed as an advantage he came up in front of her before she even realized and easily picked her up by the waist and threw her over his shoulder. Shrieking she repeatedly punched him in the back. Great, she thought. From the hands of jerk to another jerk. "Put me down bitch!" She shouted. "Fine." He muttered coldly setting her gently on her feet in the entrance of the bathroom and throwing the bags James had brought in there with her and then shutting the door. "Get ready!" He told her through the door. "Your coming with me rather you like it or not." "Why the hell do you even care? Just let me leave, damn it!" She shouted back at him trying to open the door, but he was leaning against it. "You think those wolves are just going to give up? Ha, you're here for your own protection. Now get ready!" He shouted crossing his arms and turning to put some clothes on himself. It Was Fate Ch. 03 Authors Note: I have had a few emails and a comment about how It Was Fate has a lot of differences from its original Fate. Yet, Fate was kind of my trainer story. It was simple and the characters were not well developed. So, with this new... more like restart of Fate I'm trying to find my voice as a writer. I write on here for the readers and basically as practice. Your guy's comments have made me from the author I was in Fate Ch. 01 to It Was Fate Ch. 04. Thanks to anyone who has written me a comment or an email no matter how mean. I hope to continue to improve. Thanks and keep reading, SSG ~~~~ Annabeth needed to get out of here and most of all away from this gorgeous grumpy man. She wasn't an ounce frightened of him, that reason she didn't know why, but she hadn't said a word to him since what she had screamed through the door. He seemed to be in an impossible bad mood, yet that didn't translate to the way he was gripping her wrist as he pulled her down the hallway. It was gentle, probably too gentle. No matter how angry he was he seemed to treat her like a china doll, fragile and delicate. She just wanted to know why she was even with him if she made him so miserable. And they say girls are complicated. Coming to a stop he pulled a key card out of his pocket and quickly swiped it and replaced it. Opening the door he pulled her through it and then shut it softly. When she turned from watching him close the door she nearly gasped in surprise. She expected another hotel room, but this room was an entire floor! There were rows of desks placed around the gigantic room and even what looked like actual offices in the corner. Then all the desks were stationed with a single gorgeous vampire. Yet, sitting a few feet from where they were standing was a desk that was sitting more front and center than the rest and the keeper of that desk was most definitely not a vampire. He looked to be just a gawky teenage boy. "Collin!" The boy smiled showing his multicolored braces as he shifted some papers into a neater stack. "Hey Leo," Collin greeted him with a small grin. Leo stood out like a sore thumb in this place with his reddish brown curly hair and goofy grin. "Can I see Pack X's file?" Collin asked his expression serious again. "Hold on..." Leo trailed off reaching for the wireless mouse over in the corner of his desk and smacking it on the bottom a few times."Damn thing." He cursed nearly silently. Setting it back on his desk he squinted as he stared at the thin computer monitor perched in the same corner of his desk. Clicking furiously he jumped up from his chair toward the wall of file cabinets. Taking long quick strides he slide his pointer finger down the many cabinets, reaching the fifth one he opened a drawer and retrieved the file and handed it over to Collin. Scanning the thick manila folder he dropped it with a thud onto Leo's desk. Humming he flicked open the file and fingered through the stack of paper until he found the page he was looking for. Smiling he flashed his fangs wickedly. "It's time to give Gustavo a ring." Annabeth shivered at the sound of his name. How could Collin have known? Yet, she was just going to keep her questions to herself at the moment, which was very unlike her. "Come on." Collin told her gripping her wrist and the file in the other hand. Pulling her down a row of desks she couldn't help but look down all the vampires looked up as if in awe that Collin was touching her. At least it didn't take long for him to pull her into a corner office and shut the door behind them. "Sit down." He commanded her. Biting her lip she fought the urge to tell him to shut up and sat down quietly on the dark leather coach. Watching him, Collin reached for the phone that sat in the cradle on his desk and quickly punched in the number written on the paper he folded the corner of. Thanks to the fact her senses were sharper than a normal human she could hear the series of rings begin, but she was beginning to feel it to be a curse; she so did not want to hear his voice, nor was she ready to. Yet, she had no chose. "Ah, Mr. Sangue," Gustavo's deep voice greeted him. Collin could feel the way Annabeth tensed when he picked up. It was strange because she was across the room. "Hello." Collin replied coldly. "I hear you have broken one of our rules." He began sounding amused. "I know you have." Collin replied. He laughed. "You think my men were trying to kill Annabeth. If you think she is a human you are sorely mistaken." "She would have died if I hadn't saved her." Collin growled his back to Annabeth. "Whoa big boy," He warned obviously amused. "All I know is that you personally killed one of my men and that violates our little contract." "I'm not sure you want to completely oust that contract just yet. You know far too well what happens when you underestimate me." Collin pointed out. "I'm not suggesting we go all out war. I'm just saying you should return Annabeth to me...soon." "Why is she so important to you?" He growled. "She's my mate in training." He laughed. "Now bring her to me tonight, 12 AM, far corner of my territory." At that Gustavo hung up as Collin slammed the phone into the cradle. Annabeth couldn't even fathom going back to him. Bowing her head she rested it in her hands taking deep breaths to control her emotion. She couldn't go back to him! Just couldn't. Yet, a small part of her simply didn't want to leave Collin. "He said-, "Collin began, but was cut off by her. "I heard it all." She muttered head bowed in defeat. Collin looked down at her from his spot leaning against the desk, he couldn't take her back, but he couldn't wage a war either. "I'm not taking you back." You decided. "What?" She looked up surprised. "You don't want to go back." He stated crossing his arms. "Yeah, but..." Annabeth began, but was cut off. She couldn't understand why someone would go through so much trouble just for her. "You obviously have a reason why." He stated. "He'll hurt you!" She exclaimed standing up. She couldn't handle having another person killed protecting her. "I alone could kill Gustavo and his little pack of rogues." He chuckled. "You shouldn't be worrying about me." "You don't understand." She sighed falling back to the couch. "Then make me understand!" He exclaimed pulling her back up to her feet by her forearms. "He killed nearly my entire pack!" She shouted jerking away from him and turning around. Spinning her back around he stared at her unbelievingly, mouth slightly ajar. "You're a werewolf?" "No!" She exclaiming attempting to pull away again, but this time he wouldn't let her. Yet, the fact he had let her jerk away this entire time only pissed her off more. "My dad was a werewolf and my mom was human!" "How does that work?" "It doesn't!" She snapped. "But, if you don't take me back to him he'll kill my sisters!" She spoke quickly. "I thought you said he kill your entire pack," He questioned eyebrows raised. "I did, but he spared them so he had something to stop me from killing myself!" "Why would you kill yourself?" He asked his expression serious. "Do you really want to know?!" She exclaimed angrily looking at his gorgeous face with complete rage. It was either that or cry. "Yes." "He rapes me! Okay! I couldn't stop it, he was too strong!" She informed him her teeth clenched as she stared into his eyes. He dropped his grip on her instantly. "Annabeth," He whispered eyes now closed and jaw clenched. "You need to get out of this room, now." He growled. His vampire was in a tizzy. Someone had touched HIS Annabeth! He couldn't hold on to control when it was fighting itself to the surface so furiously. He was going to kill someone. "No." She refused simply, she wasn't going anywhere. The next blink of an eye his fangs grew from his gums to rest against his bottom lip and his eyes were that familiar red. Annabeth knew she had to act quickly if she was going to stop him from punching another wall, but little did she know that he was ten times as angry. Using her speed she catapulted herself into him while quickly wrapping her arms around his neck. Within the next second he had already wrapped his arms around her. "Relax." She soothed. "I'm here. I'm okay." She murmured saying anything could possible calm him down as her hands idly stroked the back of his neck. He was frozen like a statue giving no signs that he was even alive. "How about you hold down Gustavo and I kill him?" She asked completely serious attempting to lighten the mood with no luck. She was beginning to get a little frustrated, nothing was working. Looking up at him she unhooked her arms from his neck and held both sides of his face making him look down at her, "Hello?" She grinned. "Anyone in there?" Still nothing. All of a sudden a head peaked into the room, the very noticeable frizzy mane of Leo. "Collin?" He called sliding the rest of the way in. It couldn't have been a worse time. Finally a response as he spun around with Annabeth still in his arms as he growled a warning. "Leo, get out of here! GO!" She yelled desperately. Yet, the teenage boy was frozen in fear and Collin was tensing. It seemed like hours as she waited for Leo to flee. The only thought going through her mind was: Please, please Leo move your ass! There was no more time. Collin had stopped breathing. "Move or close your eyes!" She shouted at Leo as shut his eyes his form visibly shaking. Annabeth came up on her tippy toes and pressed her lips to his. It was her last resort and even with the long fangs she had to try. He instantly responded as he growled into her mouth and gave her a kiss she would not soon forget. He kissed her hard and furious as if taking his pent up anger out on her lips. Collin wasn't himself when his other half was in control it had control of his body as well as his mind, which at the moment was filled with fantasies of Annabeth moaning in ecstasy beneath him. Annabeth couldn't even say she wasn't thinking the same. Not to mention the fact he had the kind of looks that would make any woman young or old want to tackle him to the nearest bed. Lost in her thoughts she let out a tiny moan. She couldn't help it even with those fangs as obstacles he could kiss in that way that made her whole body tingle. Her hands were no longer simply holding onto him for dear life, but they were clawing at him wanting more. Yet, she couldn't let this continue he was too good. She feared if this went any further she wouldn't be able to stop him and that could never happen again. "Stop." She muttered into his mouth and pulled away from him as much as he would allow. Yet, he wasn't stopping as he pulled her tighter against him again. This couldn't be happening. Even when she acted like a limp noodle against him he had no problem holding her up and coaxing her to kiss him back again. And the sad part was she did. She was having a hard time building up the strength to deny him again. "Please, stop." She muttered again. He slowed the kiss suddenly as if savoring the last seconds of their kiss. Then, he broke it. She watched in amazement as Collin's long sharp fangs retracted back to their normal intimidating length. It was truly amazing to watch him shift. In the next blink of an eye his eyes were that beautiful silver again. "I'm sorry." He muttered pulling away from her, but she was firmly latched to him. "Why are you shaking?" She asked pressing herself to him a little harder to feel his slight tremble. "It j-just happens when I change." He answered quietly trying to pull away again. "A-And you're not making it any easier to s-stay this way." He stuttered. "I'm not afraid of you." She stated. "Y-You should be. After all you have been t-through I could do the same thing to you he did and you don't even c-care?" Looking down she began lowly. "The way you touch me is gentle...the way he did wasn't." She mumbled. "You're saying you don't think I could?" He asked beginning to sound a little more in control. "Well, if you did," She looked back up at him her cheeks turning a rosy color, "I wouldn't be objective." He fell in love with her cute little pink cheeks at that moment and that innocent little look she was giving him. Yet, he couldn't believe his ears. She had just basically told him she would sleep with him. His vampire was rejoicing, she would be his physically, mentally, and emotionally very soon. "I'm sorry." He stated. "I'm just so sorry I can't have enough control to protect you from myself." "If you're going to be 'protecting' me, I'm going to need some answers." She stated pulling away from him to plop back down on the couch. Colin knew this was coming. He would have questions too if a vampire seemed to attack him constantly. "Okay." He sighed leaning back up against his desk and crossing his arms. "First, why can't you stay human around me?" She asked crossing her legs. "It's not so much you for say. Think about it every time I change you either tell me someone has hurt you or someone does. " "But, why?" She exclaimed. "I've never had a mate, so I really don't know either." "Wait, are you saying I'm you mate?" She questioned a slight shocked look on her face. That beautiful vampire couldn't be hers. "It seems that way. My other side obviously thinks so." He laughed nervously. "Wow." She muttered in amazement. "But, you barely know me." "That doesn't matter. The beauty of finding your mate is you know instantly." "Wow." She mumbled again. "I understand if it's a little bit too much to handle after what Gustavo has done to you." He reasoned looking down. "As soon as a room opens up you can move there, but I can't guarantee that I can stay away." Standing up she walked over to him. With a finger she lifted his chin and made him meet her yellow-brown eyes. "I'm not offended; I just never thought someone would want such damaged cargo." She half smiled dropping her hand. "Damaged cargo?" He chuckled. "I'm far more damaged than you could ever imagine." "Sure..." She trailed off. "Okay, last question. Will you help me get my sisters back?" It Was Fate Ch. 04 Authors Note: Hi again. :) I thought a double submission would be a nice brightener since I haven't been a very consist poster. Anyways, I hope this chapter is better than the last. I'll keep on writing and improving as long as you read. Enjoy, SSG ~~~~ Annabeth paced back and forth in Collin's plush top floor suite. Continuing on her short path back and forth that she seemed determined to wear down, she was kicking herself for agreeing to stay in 'safety' as Collin had called it. Now she was uneasy all while worrying about Collin, Kadence, and Emma. Worst of all was the fact this room smelled so strongly of him it was as if rubbed his entire body against the walls, which only made her miss him more than before. Yet, why did she miss a guy that she had only known for a day and a half? Deeming herself crazy she set off for a nice hot shower. ******************* This night held only a mere sliver of glowing moon positioned high over the sky. So, tonight the stars were taking the show with their own inconsistent glow. Yet, no one's eyes were on the beautiful night sky. Collin, James, and Eli had all taken to their respective chunk of the forest that needed searching. However, this was not any normal search and rescue mission. They were in enemy territory. Any snap of a twig or crunch of a leaf could signal the guard wolves that patrolled not far from here. Eli stood perched on a high branch, one hand gripping the rough bark of the branch in between his crouched feet. From his position he could see over the thick underbrush and even the masses of fur off in the distance that was pacing back and forth, but he wasn't searching with his eyes. He was searching the area of sound, any ragged breath or thump of a heartbeat, anything that was remotely human. Yet, he was having no luck. If this girl was near him she was deathly still and was taking quiet, slow breaths. Falling from the branch he landed on the damp leaves of the forest floor as graceful as a cat as he began a new approach. He didn't have any other options. It was approaching eleven and they didn't have much time before Gustavo and his body guards would head to the very corner of his territory Eli was in. All of a sudden Eli stepped upon a twig, a tiny little twig, but in this silent night it sounded like a gun shot. With a sudden sharp intake of breath he froze and hoped the werewolves wrote it off as an animal. Yet, he could hear the methodical foot falls of the wolf still in its path, but he could hear a quickly thumping heart beat too. With a slight smile at the thought that his mistake had created victory he started quickly striding lightly toward the sound. Like a light house guiding him to the shore he strode faster and faster until he stopped abruptly at a large thick bush. He thought for a second it could just be an animal, but he trusted his ears too much this heart beat was strong and human. This time he made his mistake deliberately; picking up a nearby twig he snapped it. The results were instantaneous, the heartbeat he was locked in on quickened to a steady thump in his mind. At this proximity he could even hear the faint whisper of well controlled breathing. She was so close he could even smell her. It was an abnormal scent to his senses, she kind of smelled good. Nothing smelled like that to him not even an open wound gushing blood smelled as good as she did. Eli had been born into the vampire world a black sheep. No one has ever had his gift. He was born without the strong vampire emotion called blood lust. Blood lust is a key emotion in everyday life for a vampire. He was like a baby being born without hunger. At the beginning he nearly starved because he didn't want to feed. Yet, this scent was everything he had ever missed wrapped in one. This had to be Annabeth's sister, Kadence, it fit the exact thing Collin had warned him about...."She might smell so good you can't control yourself. Just yell for me, I can get there before you switch." Thank god, he hadn't switched to vampire when he got into the woods like he wanted to. Taking a deep breath of that sweet aroma he literally shook the thought of his fangs piercing soft giving flesh. It was a though that was brand new in his mind. I can do this, he thought. The exact reason Collin had called him for was the exact reason why he felt like he couldn't complete this mission. I have to, he decided. He was far too close to just give up. Crouching down he began to grit his teeth as his body went into auto pilot. With his arms outstretched he felt through the leafy bush. Nothing. Standing up he sighed quietly. But, he knew she was here and the scent was getting stronger by the passing moment. In the next second all he could feel was a hard object forcefully thrust upon his head as he spun around in complete and udder disbelief. It hurt like hell, but it wasn't possible to knock out a vampire so easily. Standing behind him wielding a large rock was the source of that heavenly aroma. God, she was beautiful. Even in this dark forest his sharp eyes could make her out as clear as day. Her golden brown hair was tumbled over one shoulder in a tangled mass that caught his eyes first; then, her almost yellow eyes that matched any wolf's. Yet, those eyes were cutting into him with complete and utter fury, but the dark circled beneath them only made her look as if she was going to pass out in any given second. She was a little bit over average for a woman standing at a nice 5'8, which fit Eli's height better. The last thing for him to notice was the fact she stood on only one leg, while the other one hovered above the ground. With a single quick and precise moment he stole the rock from her grasp and set it on the ground softly. He nearly chuckled at the look on her face when she realized her weapon had suddenly disappeared. Then he simply scooped her up easy as pie and took off at a dead sprint. He smiled again as his plan worked just as he planned. Instead of flailing and making noise she held on for dear life. Simply by instinct she reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck and tucked her face in between her arm and his neck to shield her face from the wind. No one would flail and risk being dropped by a vampire moving at a high speed. **** Alec and his men stood as if frozen in time in the middle of the woods, pine trees flecking there formation. It was maybe 11 PM they planned for a sneak attack in this nearly pitch black night. Wind ruffled the leaves and their hair as they stood motionless waiting for the light paw steps to drift completely into non existence. The Werewolves had a flaw they couldn't see nearly as far as they could hear and smell. When it came down to it they were basically oversized wolves. Having washed their clothes in a simple Scent-A-Way like something a hunter would use they had the smell part covered. Don't forget they could stand frozen like statues for days; they were undetectable in their current position with sight and sound too. All of them had their eyes squinted as there gaze was fixed on the giant, furry masses that patrolled the southern border of their own territory. All their eyes going left and right following the wolf's path back and forth as they waited for a gap in between the two giant masses routes. Nearly undetectable Alec's pointer finger came free of his right fisted hand, signaling the five men in formation to his right to make their move into the wolves' territory. Like creatures of the night the statues came to life, like wild deer taking long silent strides they leapt over the territory line coming nearly out of sight then freezing again as still as the trees. Alec watched again waiting for that hole in their defenses to reopen. Coping the same action he did before his pointer finger come out of his fist on his left side signaling the four men on his left side along with himself to make their move. With the first breath he had taken in an hour he came to life along with the other men; with lightning speed they bolted matching the long strides of the groups before them. Alec froze a few feet from crossing the territory line one of the furry beasts had stopped in its tracks with an ear cocked. But, he didn't have time to stay still he was standing directly in the second beasts path. In a split second decision he continued to join formation with his men and freeze again. If you would have stayed still he would have had to take down the second wolf but at least now if they had heard Alec they would have to find him and his men first. But, right now he was fed up with this as they stood motionless in their 'V' formation. In the pitch black woods he made his signal with both hands his pointer finger poked out of his fists telling both groups to head into the second phase of his plan that would more than likely involve some violence. They were about to infiltrate the main housing. Moving like the creatures of the night they were they crept deeper into the wolf's territory; everyone had their eyes peeled preparing themselves for the immanent battle. A light in the distance tipped off the battle would be happening soon. It was impossible to be silent and undetectable when going through the actual building. Hey, but they were going to try. **** Eli stopped abruptly in front of Collin and James who stood arms and ankles crossed lounging against their getaway vehicle. "She's filthy." James commented as soon as he finished eyeing the girl in Eli's arms. "...And asleep." Collin chuckled as he stood back upright. "I didn't know you had such a way with women." "Then you don't know me very well." Eli smirked. "Someone open that door for me." As James opened the door for him he slid in making sure not to hit Kadence on anything or jar her too much. He was personally surprised she had fallen asleep with him carrying her. She had tried and succeeded in beating him over the head with a rock. Yet, she did look exhausted. It was a possibility she hadn't slept since the previous night before she escaped. "Everyone's hands and feet in?" James mocked shutting the door. Kadence jumped in his grasp as the door slammed, but that only made her nuzzle his neck softly and settle back down. "What's wrong?" Collin asked he started up the car and pulled off the side of the road. "What do you mean?" Eli asked calmly. "I can hear your teeth grinding from here." He said simply. "She smells good." He revealed. He didn't say a word instead he turned his eyes and eyed him in complete shock. "I know, I know. It's fucking weird. Is just me or does she smell better than a gushing flesh wound." He laughed trying to lighten this situation of losing his gift. "She doesn't smell any better that a woman walking on a street to me." James muttered taking a nice whiff of air. "Well, then I'm crazy." Eli mumbled. "What am I supposed to do with her?" "I was thinking you could take her for the night, but if you can't handle her smell. I'll have to find someone else who can." Collin responded. "No, I'll take her." Eli muttered before he knew what he was saying. **** Emma lay trapped under big, bulky Gustavo that was whispering things into her ear as she trembled with fear. "Your sisters left you here." He whispered into her ear. "They don't give a fuck about you." He whispered nuzzling her neck. "Now that they left, your body will be used to sedate my desires until Annabeth is returned to me." "No." She whimpered. That was all she could get out as she trembled, a tear running down her cheek. If only she could fight, but she was almost so crushed underneath him that she couldn't breathe let alone fight or struggle. "No?" He questioned kissing her cheek "If you relax you might actual enjoy this." That when he pressed his lips to hers; crushing them. She screamed into his mouth as his large rough hands began roving her body. All of a sudden a distant howl ripped through the air causing Gustavo to instantly jump off of her. "Do you know what?" He nearly yelled. "You're staying here! If you live, we will continue this." He smiled but then laughed at a thought. "If whoever is here doesn't finish you off for me. " Emma took a deep breath trying to calm herself down but the only thing she took was a short raged breath followed with some more trembling as Gustavo darted out the door completely naked. "Fuck!" Alec growled. And it was just a growl with barely any remnants of a human voice. When in complete vampire it was difficult to contact your voice at all, but thanks to the fact Alec was...experienced and mostly always in vampire he was more in touch than the usual vampire. They stood in the middle of a deserted hallway, a portion of them leaning against the wall bored. "Spread out! Search this fucking place." He commanded. "Anyone you find bring to me before you kill them." In a split second everyone had dispersed in their opposite directions including Alec. He found himself standing in a very dirty room that smelled of wet dog and it made his nose crinkle instinctively. Getting down on his hands and knees he searched beneath the bed and in the messy closet before he growled softly and left the smelly room. "Sir!" Liam yelled. "I think I found her." Alec's head jerked to the direction of the voice as his eyes were greeted with a quite a sight. Big burly Liam Lee was literally pulling a girl down the hallway by her arm. It looked like it hurt, but she wasn't showing any signs of weakness. You could visually see the indentions Liam's thick fingers were pressing into her arms. The worst part was all she was clad in was a thin sheet that she struggled to conceal herself with, with only one free arm. "Liam! Loosen your fucking grip, she's a human!" Looking around he searched for the source of the voice. And oh did he find it. His friend of many years Mitchell Frälsare stood behind Alec looking completely pissed. Mitchell was a little bit shorter than himself at about 5'10 and dawned shorter more controlled hair style that Alec, all topped off with dark green eyes. Mitchell has a very soft spot for humans. Thanks to the fact his mate was human and intended on staying that way. It was sad really, he would spend her entire life un-aged and perfect all while savoring the last moment with her before she died. He already had a plan to get himself killed when she died. Well, past those sad facts he was an expert at a gentle touch. "I've never handled a human, sorry!" Liam defended doing as he was told as he stopped suddenly in front of Alec. "So, is this her?" He asked eagerly a hint of excitement in his tone. With his pointer finger he lifted the girl's chin to make her greet her eyes with his as she flinched at his touch. The second her eyes met his he knew it was her. I believe the description of her said, "Eyes as blue as a clear sky," was a little bit of an understatement. Emma was mesmerized for a second by the man's beauty. Oh god, and his eyes! They were a color she had never seen before, a clear sea green. Yet, they were partially eclipsed by his mop of shiny black hair that wondered into his eyes. The contrast was beautiful, yet her eyes didn't stay on his eyes for too long as they drifted to the tattoo than ran up the side of his neck, all the way down his arm, and then to the finger he used to lift her chin. The tattoo was a thin intricate design and what appeared to be writing of a different language down the side of his neck. Yet, his shirt was covering the rest. If the design ran all the way from his right hand's finger tips to the right side of his neck she could only imagine where else it ran. "Yes." Alec answered simply as he removed his coat and signaled Liam to release her. "Here, leave the sheet." He watched as Emma complied. She simply pulled the too large coat onto each arm and buttoned it up before she shimmied out of the sheet. All while she looked down and refused to look anyone in the eye, to think about the only person she had looked at was Alec. "Let's move!" Alec commanded causing a small storm of vampires to emerge from random rooms and pool into the hallway. They all had a confused look on their face as if saying, "When did we find the girl?" Once they all filed out, he looked down at Emma. She was barefoot which meant walking through the woods wouldn't be happening. With a sigh he picked her up and began out the door. She didn't even make a sound; she just laid still and looked anywhere but at him. **** Collin tip toed into his room after he had stripped down to his boxers at the doorway; he didn't want to wake Annabeth. Peeking past the corner he found her curled into a ball sleeping directly in the middle of his bed. And that was exactly what she looked like with only the top of her head visible. Carefully he pulled the covers down and slipped beneath. Annabeth awoke with a start feeling the sudden shift of weight. Yet, it didn't take her long to realize who it was. Untangling herself she slid over to him only partially awake as she propped herself up on her elbows. "Did you find them?" She whispered her voice a little hoarse from sleep as she didn't even bother to open her eyes. "Kadence is down stairs with Eli and she is mostly unharmed. But, I haven't heard word from Alec yet." Collin answered in a barely a whisper. "I'll go downstairs and see her." Annabeth muttered dreamily sitting up. "No..." Collin trailed off. Pulling the arm that was supporting her from beneath her she fell back onto him. With a groan she readjusted herself until her head was lying on his chest and she was pressed against his side. "She is asleep and safe." He reassured her hooking an arm around her. "Okay." She agreed not really wanted to leave bed anyway. "But-" "Shh." He soothed kissing her forehead. "She'll be there in the morning." **** El stood beside his bed staring down at the mainly unconscious girl as he scratched his head. He couldn't just go to sleep and leave her lying there all dirty. Yet, he couldn't quite constitute stripping her naked and washing her himself. With a sigh he moved to her side and picked her back up; the sad part was she didn't even make a sound. Eli was having a hard time refraining from breathing through his nose. Not only did her smell make him a little crazy, it was addicting. He wanted to smell her. Yet, he was using self control he had never had to use before as he set her on the counter. He was going to have to attempt to wake her up. "Kadence..." He trailed off using his hands on her both sides of her waist to shake her. He watched closely as her eyes opened begrudgingly. Yet, she didn't even seem to be quite conscious as he eyes scanned him with complete in recognition. "Come on." He muttered setting her back on the ground, which simply caused her to lean against him fully. The fact she hadn't been baring any weight on her left leg had totally slipped his mind. He didn't have a bathtub and that means he was taking a shower with her. "Kadence..." He trailed off again causing her to look up at him. "Would you like me to take your clothes off for you?" He smiled. She didn't answer. With a small chuckled he pulled his shirt over his head and then without and protest removed hers as she even lifted her arms for him. He laughed; it was like she was so tired she was drunk! Unbuckling his belt and unbuttoning his pants he let them fall and then leaned down to do the same to her. **** Emma stood in the doorway where Alec had deposited her. He was currently stripping down to his boxers. God, he was perfect. That tattoo as she imagined ran down his entire right side. "Are you just going to stand there?" He asked shedding his pants. It Was Fate Ch. 04 "N-no," She answered reluctantly. "Good." He grinned and threw her a big long-sleeved button down. "Go change." He commanded her. "You'll be sleeping with me." How could she handle sleeping in the same bed as the definition of sexy? It Was Fate Ch. 05 Hey everyone, long time no write. I know. This chapter isn't perfect, but I just want it off my computer before I go crazy editing and rewriting over and over. Well, enjoy. :) SSG -- The morning sun was just beginning to peak through the sheer white curtains, yet Annabeth was already awake. Lying on her side, she studied Collin's sleeping form with her head propped up on her palm. She couldn't find the strength to wake him. He was beautiful awake, yet asleep he was even more so. Her mind was still spinning at the fact that he actually wanted her. Well, that didn't quite mean he was in love with her yet. Mates were always a strange thing, when she was growing up even. Her mother had been her father's mate. Just thinking about the way it killed him when she left made her shake her head in disgust. He would have killed himself, but there was the fact of three little girls that needed raising that helped him stay going. But, she never thought she would have her own. Yet, it was how ironic that mating instinct had both gotten her in and out of her mess. It all started six months ago... She can remember the day like it was yesterday. She had stood leaning against her kitchen cabinets, a cup of coffee gripped in both hands as she sipped at gingerly. Then her peace had been quickly destroyed as her dad flew down the stairs. He was forty-five, yet he didn't look a day over twenty-one. That was because he hadn't aged since twenty one, the day he shifted he froze in time. He looked like he did everyday with that perpetual tan, short dark brown hair, and those piercing yellow-brown eyes she had inherited. "Don't leave this house. Keep the doors locked." He ordered quickly flying out of the house. Yet, he left behind his shoes and shirt in a neat pile beside the door. Her dad had left to go see who was trespassing in their territory. That person she would soon find out to be Gustavo Gala, a so called peaceful lone wolf in search of a mate and a warm place to sleep. Annabeth's dad being the kind man he was welcomed him into the pack, even organizing a little pack dinner that night to help Mr. Gala in finding the thing wolf's spend nearly their entire life doing, his mate. That night at the pack feast Gustavo's eyes met hers and she watched him shiver involuntary. From that moment on her life changed. "Annabeth," Collin's velvety voice broke through her painful daydream. "Huh?" Her head snapped to look at him her expression dazed and mouth slightly ajar. For a few moments it had been like she had been back in time. His hand moved to up cup her cheek in his palm. "Go put some clothes. I'll call down to Alec and Eli and have them meet us in the restaurant downstairs for some breakfast." "Okay." She answered and attempted a small grin. -- Emma lay directly in the middle of the bed, yet she was far from comfortable or sprawled out. She lay on her side uncomfortably close to the vampire/man Alec. His morning hard-on was pressed far too firmly into her butt. She knew it wasn't sexual, but that didn't ease her mind one bit. And the fact his face lay buried in her neck didn't help either. The weirdest thing about it all was he seemed to be purring. It was the strangest thing she had ever heard. It was an abnormal mix of a low growl and a contented sigh. It hurt her to admit it, but... it was kind of sexy. God, what was she thinking everything about this man was sexy. His entire fucking body looked to be built for sex. She needed to clear her head. She had been on the way to rape the previous night! The only conclusion she could come to was that she was obviously fucked up in the head. She just wanted to grab a fist full of that hair and... Taking a deep breath she exhaled the naughty thoughts and came back to reality. He could be some kind of rapist killer! All of a sudden the phone rang. Emma felt the cool breath on her neck suddenly stop, whilst the arm around her waist tightened. Then, quicker that she could have moved herself he peeled himself from her back and was up standing beside the phone. With a hand flat on the night stand and back hunched over he answered, "Hello." His voice smooth, but yet still a bit husky from sleep. "Everything went perfectly. Yes." She watched him nod his head a few times before he spoke again. "We were spotted in the southern border, but they were completely evacuated by the time we arrived. They left the girl for some untold reason." He stood up and leaned against the nightstand. All of a sudden someone knocked on the door. Alec caught Emma's gaze and nodded toward the door. Reluctantly she slipped from the bed and smoothed her wrinkled shirt. He lost all focus for a second as he watched Emma shyly tip-toe to the door. The way she looked in his silk light blue button down was affecting him more than he realized. Shaking his head he wrote off his hungry eyes on the fact that he hadn't been laid in a while. Emma reached the door and opened it slowly. As the door creped open she finally laid her eyes on her visitor. "I'm Stella." She grinned even wider pulling her into a hug. Yet, Emma's eyes were wide. She knew absolutely nothing about where or why she was here. "Here you go." She passed her a shopping back with everything she would need. She was far to confused. "Oh, I guess I should explain." She giggled. "I'm James mate." Yet, the confused look in her eyes didn't subside. "James is Collin's right hand man." "Who's that?" She asked lowly still holding the bag. "Your sister Annabeth's mate silly," She smiled. "What?" Emma set the bag at her side eyes wide. "You can't be saying Alec told you nothing?" She raised an eyebrow. Emma just nodded as the woman pushed past her and into Alec's room. Closing the door she followed Stella back into the room. Stella literally stole the phone from Alec's hands. "Yeah, hey Collin. Do you know that you supposed best vampire didn't tell Emma anything when he rescued her?" She snapped. "Do you even know what Annabeth would do to you if she knew that Alec had let her sister think who knows what for an entire night!? You're trying to get her to fall in love with you and you send insensitive jerk here?" She growled into the phone. "Fine. Fine. FINE." She hung up the phone. With a deep breath she faced Emma and smiled. "Okay, so this man here," She picked up his tattooed forearm and waved his arm around, "is Alec. He was sent with a bunch of other vampires to save you," She used his arm to point at Emma, "on Collin Sangue's order. Collin found your sister a few days ago and has been helping her get you and your sister from the werewolves. And yes your sister Kadence is here and safe." Emma simply nodded. Stella eyed Alec fiercely and then strode out of the room slamming the door behind her. He just stood there for a moment still clad only in his boxers pinching the bridge of his nose between two tattooed fingers. After a few moments he finally opened his eyes and looked up at her his gaze suddenly as cold as ice. "The bag by the door should have everything you need in it." He informed. "Go get ready. We'll be meeting your sister's downstairs for breakfast in an hour." -- Stella stormed through the hallway, Eli's room in her sights. If he hadn't told Kadence anything either Eli would get more of an earful than Alec had gotten. Pulling the universal key card out of her jean jacket she unlocked it and stormed in. Yet, she quickly slowed to a tip toe as she laid her eyes on the sight in front of her. Annabeth's other sister still lay in the middle of Eli's bed. She was on her stomach with her golden brown hair thrown over the pillow and her face; while Eli sat across the room his feet up on a desk whispering into a phone. She dropped the last bag of clothes she had and stepped the rest of the way into the room. "I'll try." Stella watched Eli smirk. She knew he was talking to Collin. "Okay, okay, bye." He set the phone silently back to the cradle. "Hey, is she okay?" Stella asked watching Eli sit up in his chair. "Yeah, just a little bit of exhaustion and there's something wrong with her left leg." He told her standing up and beginning to move toward Kadence. "But, now I have to wake her up and she scares me." He grinned. "This young human girl scares you?" Stella laughed. "She tried and succeeded at beating me over the head with rock." Stella burst out laughing. "Come on you big pansy just wake her up." She shoved him toward her. "Fine, okay I'll do it. " Eli moved to stand beside the bed. With his fingertips he brushed the hair out of her face, "Kadence," he whispered running his hand slowly up and down her back. She made a tiny sound and unconsciously arched to his touch. "Come on, you need to wake up." He watched her face carefully as her eyelashes fluttered open and her eyes fixated on his. Eli could see the switch from confusion to realization as she remembered him from last night. "Hi." He smiled. "I'm Eli if you care. The guy you tried to beat over the head with a rock. You didn't know, but I was actually sent to find and rescue you by your sister. Get up and get ready and I'll bring you down to meet your sisters for breakfast." Kadence sat up in the bed rubbing her eyes, "Are you a werewolf?" He laughed. "I'm a vampire." Eli smiled flashing his fangs. She raised an eyebrow and yawned while sliding over to the edge of the bed. "Did you bathe me?" She asked wrinkling her nose. "Yes." At the exact moment he replied she stood up completely forgetting her previous injuries. She made a small sound of surprise and fell to the ground. "Are you that disgusted that I saw you naked that your legs gave out?" He smiled down at her. "You hit the nail on the head there big guy." She smirked sarcastically. -- Annabeth lay on the middle of the bed, on top of the comfort with her calves hanging off the edge. She had gotten ready with nearly thirty minutes to spare. She'd admit she was excited to see her sisters, yet that only made each minute tick by slower than normal. At that moment Collin wondered out of the bathroom a white towel knotted at his waist and Annabeth's attention was caught for the moment. She felt like a pervert as her greedy eyes roamed him. "What?" He smiled. "Oh, n-nothing. You're just very pretty." She grinned back at him. "I'm pretty?" He questioned with a chuckle. "Mhm." She laughed. "Okay then." He shot a smile at her as walked back into the bathroom. In the next moment he was already walking back into the room in a pair of dark wash jeans and a plain white t-shirt. He stood bending over her for a second with a small grin on his face. Reaching for her hands he gently pulled her back to her feet and very, very close to him. "W-what are you doing?" Her breath hitched in her throat as she lost focus. Collin was so close that she could feel his cool body radiating toward her along with his intoxicating scent. "I figured since we had twenty minutes to spare I could try something. " He said slowly with a hint of reluctance in his voice. With his index finger he raised her chin up until he had the perfect angle of descent. His eyes moved from her eyes down to her lips and back up again. "If you want me to stop just say it." Annabeth's arms rose up and encircled his neck. "Just kiss me," she spoke with a sly smile. With that little encouragement he leaned the rest of the way down and did as he was told. There first real kiss. He wasn't in vampire and she wasn't kissing him out of need. It wasn't violent or rough. This was the way true mates kissed. His arms wrapped around her waist pressing her to him and for the first time in a while his past wasn't on his mind. All he could think and feel was her and that soft flesh pressed against his without inhibitions. This was his heaven. She was thinking quite similar thoughts. There were no more reasons to fight the feeling she felt for him anymore. Yet, she still had conflicted thoughts. A part of her told her never to let another powerful man touch her again, but another side pointed out how gently he was with her on a regular basis. Collin made this sound deep in his chest that caused Annabeth to stiffen in his arms. He broke the kiss suddenly, but didn't let her go. He was breathing a bit heavy and shivering. She set her head in his collarbone and just stood there enjoying the feel of him and his comforting scent. She couldn't help it as she nuzzled his shirt, just waiting for him to relax, thankful that he didn't let her go. "Collin," she whispered. "Why are you shaking again?" "I'm a wild animal Annabeth," He spoke through gritted teeth. "I have to fight the mating instinct." "Oh." She said nearly silent. "But..." He smiled cupping each sides of her face in his palms, "I'd fight much more than just myself and my instincts for you." He bent down and laid a single lingering peck on her lips right as the phone rang. He made a small sound of frustration and in the next second he was already answering the phone. "Hello," He answered huskily. "What do you mean-. Fine. Okay. Yeah. Bye." "What's going on?" Annabeth asked crossing her arms. "That was Eli, he said he finally woke Kadence up and he said something about a possible fractured ankle." Collin reached back and scratched the back of his neck. "Apparently she's refusing to let him carry her down for breakfast." "Sounds like her." Annabeth laughed. "So, what are we doing here?" "I figured I just call Alec and tell him it'll just be us and then head up to see your other sister afterward?" He inquired. -- Alec escorted Emma down the hallway a firm grip on her elbow. Occasionally she would try to pull away, but he would only tighten his grip. She'd admit it; he scared the hell out of her. She wished he would just stop touching her and most of all stop looking at her with those eyes. The second they focused in on her she felt as if she couldn't speak. Yet, she knew it wasn't a normal human male she was dealing with. He was a vampire. A completely gorgeous and obviously powerful vampire. The powerful part she could simply feel. The way Alec moved and the way he gripped her elbow felt as if he was holding back. Yet, he couldn't hold back the vibe he put off. It was simple and reeked of power and sex. She thought she had been going crazy with lust, but in reality it was him quietly seducing with ease. Now that she knew she could at least fight it. "Emma." Alec muttered in that smooth voice, breaking her out of her trance. "W-what?" She replied focusing her eyes on his, losing her train of thought in those sea green eyes. "Thought I lost you for a second. " He grinned flashing those blindingly white fangs devilishly. "Just thinking..." She trailed off as they walked through the hallway. Emma's eyes shot up suddenly as a tall red-headed vampire stalked by eyeing her like a piece of meat. His light green eyes caught hers and time slowed. "Rafael." Alec growled pulling Emma completely to him, but her eyes were still on his as he stopped. "Alec." Rafael smiled. "She isn't your normal type. Do you think I could borrow her?" He asked and approached them to quick for Alec's comfort. Yet, Alec was ten times as fast. Within the second he moved Emma out of the way and caught Rafael by his neck slamming him into the nearest wall with a crack. Alec lifted him higher and higher his eyes bright red. "If you touch her I'll cut off each and every one of your fingers and choke you with them." He growled in barely a human voice. He dropped him and he fell to the ground like a rag doll. He turned and took a deep breath, but it caught in his throat at the sight of the trembling form against the wall, her eyes wide. He should have known. She had been through a trauma the day earlier; she really didn't need to see him in his true form or threatening to choke a guy with his own severed fingers. Alec slowly approached her and pulled her up by her arms. "Get used to this." He spoke holding her wide-eyed gaze. "I swore to protect you and that is how I'm going to do it." Alec growled to himself as he began pulling her to the direction of the restaurant. He used to have quite a way with woman. Well, that was before he swore them away and chose a new path for himself; he though eyeing where his tattoo emerged from his shirt. He dragged her into the basically deserted restaurant and sat her down beside him in a table near the back. He studied her out of the corner of his eye. She just sat there still shaking a bit, but he could hear her teeth grinding as she calmed herself. Not another moment passed before Alec's gaze shot up to the approaching hand-in-hand couple of Collin Sangue and who he could only guess to be his new mate, Annabeth. Yet, Alec turned his attention back to Emma as her face lit up in the first real smile he had seen on her face. He'd admit it; she was beautiful when she smiled. Annabeth released Collin's hand and flew around the table to embrace her baby sister. "Did anyone touch you?" Annabeth whispered in her ear. There was no point. Both Collin and Alec could hear her, but she wanted to at least feel she was asking Emma in private. "Kind of, but no not really." She whispered back as Annabeth released her. Annabeth gave a half smile and gave her a look that meant they would talk later. She moved to sit down, but Collin made a sound deep in his throat. "Oh, and this is Collin." She laid her hand on his chest and Emma shook his hand reluctantly. "...He's my mate." She said lowly. Emma's eyes were wide for the second time in the hour. "That's strange." Emma muttered. "I didn't know a werewolf could imprint on a vampire." "Me either." Annabeth mumbled to herself as they sat down. The meal didn't feel like it lasted very long as the girls ate and talked about nothing important as Collin and Alec sat there. As the waitress walked away with the plates as Alec finally spoke up. "What am I supposed to do with her for the rest of the day?" He asked addressing Collin. "You need to go downstairs and meet with the rest of the Elites." Collin said sitting back in his chair. "I haven't trained with the Elites in nearly a year since the newborn epidemic." Alec pointed out brushing his hair out of his eyes. "I know." Collin said. "But, I need you guys back in sync and the way you were last year. From what I heard a few of the team has put on a little weight." Alec laughed. "I wouldn't doubt it." "You also need to teach her," he informed pointing at Emma, "a little self defense." "Fine then," Alec yawned. "I'll be down in an hour with Annabeth." Collin said standing up. "I told Stella to bring some workout clothes to your room for Emma." "So, am I going to be her bodyguard?" Alec asked leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms. "Yeah, or I could always get someone else." Collin reasoned. He knew Alec wasn't exactly the most sensitive guys in this place, but her life was safest in his hands. "She's safest with me." Alec concluded. "I'm fine with it." Annabeth muffled a smile. It was something about seeing Alec, a so called big bad vampire, start to care about her baby sister. "Well," Annabeth spoke up. "Are you going to tell him or am I going to have to?" She asked eyeing Alec then Emma. "There's no need to tell him anything." Emma snapped attempting to shush her sister. "Wait, wait. Tell me wh-"Alec began but was cut off. "If you're going to be staying with him, he needs to know." Annabeth argued. "No he doesn't." Emma argued right back. "I'm a big girl now. I can handle it!" With a growl Annabeth turned her attention to Alec despite the bright blue eyes boring into her face. "Every single night-" It Was Fate Ch. 05 "No you don't." Emma talked over her. "If that is so important, why haven't you told your 'mate' that small fact about you?" Annabeth stared at Emma with her mouth slightly jar. Her shy little baby sister was blackmailing her with her own secrets. "How do you know I haven't told him?" She asked crossing her arms, attempting to fake her out. "Ha!" Emma laughed sarcastically. "You haven't told him. You might have said you were half werewolf, but not the most important result of that half." "It scares me how much your becoming like Kadence." Annabeth growled in anger. "Only if you push me." Emma smiled back at her. Annabeth made a sound deep in her throat and threw her chair back and stormed out. Collin followed of course. Alec just sat there beside Emma a smile on his beautiful face, making no attempt to cover his fangs. "You're a surprising little thing." He laughed. He stood up. "Let's go." He said offering his hand. She traced his tattooed forearm with her eyes before she took his outreached hand. -- Annabeth flew open the door to the stairwell with an animalistic sound just as Collin finally caught up to her. "Annabeth," Collin muttered softly, coming up behind her and pulling her backward to wrap his arms around her waist. "Talk to me." "You have no idea how tightly I'm coiled." She told him laying her arms of his. "Then give me an idea." He whispered lightly as he began rocking back and forth. "I think it's time we had a talk after we go see Kadence." She said turning in his arms and looking into his eyes. It Was Fate Ch. 06 "For a half werewolf mutant you're surprisingly quiet." Eli teased. He sat at the small table in the corner of the room with his eyes glued to his laptop screen. "I try to tame my inner beast." She mocked. Sitting up against the headboard she flashed Eli a sarcastic smile. "For a vampire you're on your Facebook an awful lot." She said flipping through some channels. He laughed. "I wish." She just sat there for a moment the remote still in her hand as she studied him. He was pretty of course, as most vampires are. Perfectly equipped with a strong jaw, relatively full lips, and dark blue eyes; well, not to mention sandy light-brown hair that just begged to be touched. Ugh, he was attractive. Why did he have to be so attractive? Suddenly, someone knocked on the door and Kadence jumped. Reality had slipped away as she had been studying him, lost in her own thoughts. With a quick head shake she slid off the bed and was nearly on her feet. "I don't think so, sit back down." He pointed back to her original spot. With a sound of discontent she sat back down, which was a feat considering she rarely ever did what she was told. Eli strolled to the door with a small smile still playing on his lips. He knew she had been staring at him the entire time. It made him feel a little better that she was able to get a little enjoyment out of looking at him, as he did looking at her. Stepping back he opened the door. Annabeth and Collin stood in front of him. Yet, another sly smile played on his lips. It was always interesting to see the weakness of a powerful vampire, in Collin's case it was this beautiful, yet defenseless human. He couldn't even imagine the possessiveness he was experiencing right now. "Well don't just stand there." Eli chuckled. "Come on in." He showed them in and closed the door. -- "Where are we going?" Emma finally spoke out as Alec closed the stairwell door behind them. "To the gym," He answered simply as he graceful trotted down the stairs. He wasn't all that excited to go down there and that was unusual for him. The Elites, training, and Collin's orders had been the only thing he had lived for, well at least for the last twenty years. "Oh." She muttered quietly. All that she knew was that they were going down there to meet 'the Elites', whatever the hell that was. The stairs seemed to be endless as Emma began to feel the burn. She mostly kept her eyes on the ground, except for the small glances as Alec's butt. She was beginning to come to grips with the way he seemed to make her feel. She was a perfectly healthy warm-blooded female; shame at checking him out was fading quickly. Within minutes they finale came to a door, thank god. The door opened to another long hallway, then to her relief double doors to their final destination. The gym of all vampire gyms. Alec pushed the black double doors open and he entered the room like he owned the place, while Emma followed behind. This place couldn't even be described as a room. It was bigger than any gym she'd ever seen in her life. The entire place was floored with those blue cushion mats and the walls were ROCK CLIMBING walls! At a second glance even the ceiling was covered in multicolored footholds. All the way at the end of this place was what looked to be basketball courts, boxing rings, and a jungle of long sliver beams that went all the way into the roof. Emma self-consciously crossed her arms as they strode farther into the work-out room. Everywhere she looked was a deviously attractive shirtless vampire. There was one in the corner doing pull-ups impossibly fast, one denting a gigantic steel beam with nothing but his bare fists, and a bunch sparing in those boxing rings. "Alec." The man doing pull-ups stopped and did a perfect back-flip from the bar and strolled over to them. "Landon." Alec nodded. Ah, Landon he hated that annoying bastard. "Who's this?" He nodded toward Emma. Alec reached behind him and pulled her from behind him. "This is Collin's new mate's sister, Emma." It nearly annoyed him that she unconsciously slinked behind him when she felt threatened. He was the last person that she needed to be looking to for safety. Oh, how Collin just seemed to know how to put the completely wrong people into jobs. The man smiled at her flashing fangs that were even larger than Alec's. "I'm Landon of course." He continued smiling make her knees weak. "How did such a pretty young thing get involved with a vampire like Alec?" Alec laughed. "I've been assigned as her bodyguard." How humorous that still was to him. Emma just stood there eyes a little wider than usual with her arms crossed, still half behind Alec and inching more behind him every second. An idiot could see she wasn't getting the best of vibes from Landon. Yet, he could care less. He took a step toward her, but before he could complete it Alec's arm was out to stop him. Even if bodyguard was the completely wrong occupation for him his vampire took to protecting the weak easier than he had expected. "I wasn't gonna bite her for damns sake." Landon laughed. "I was just getting a closer smell." He took a step back." She doesn't smell like you're just her 'bodyguard'." "I'm here to protect her, cut and dry. I'm sorry if you got excited thinking that maybe I was going to step down from my position." Alec smiled. Across the room "oooo's" filled the silence. Landon turned and walked back to the pull up bar as the rest of the guys in the gym starting filing in front of them. "This is Emma." Alec introduced her to the rest of the men. "If you touch her, I'll kill you." He smiled. "So, let's begin." Alec grabbed Emma by her elbow and brought her over to wear the boxing rings were against the wall. Then, he began calling out who would spar who; "Landon and Liam, Chris and Talen, JD and Todd, Alex and Austin, and me and Big." He smiled at the last pair. Within seconds everyone except her, Alec, and a big black man she presumed was Big were in a ring already at each other. Pulling her over to the other side of the room he sat her down on a pile of mats and crouched down. "Don't move and don't worry we're just going to spare today." Both of them could hear Big laughing from across the room. "I'm going to break your bodyguard's pretty little face Emma." His deep loud voice called followed by a large toothy grin. -- "How are you standing there so calmly?" Eli asked raising an eyebrow. Crossing both his legs and arms he positioned himself to lean against the wall. Collin didn't answer for a minute as he peeked around the corner at the talking sisters. "I'd say self control, but I'd be lying." He laughed dryly crossing his arms. "Christ Collin, you're going to hurt someone." Eli chuckled at the thought. "Just fucking tell her how bad it is and be done with it. Well, if you don't you're going to pull a stunt like Alec." "What do you mean a stunt like Alec?" His eyebrows rose as he scratched at the stubble on his chin. "Alec choked that mind reader dude Rafael." Collin laughed. "I knew I picked a perfect bodyguard for her little sister." Suddenly, Annabeth popped back around the corner. "Ready?" She grinned at Collin and took his hand. "Y-yeah, yeah," He mumbled as she lead him from the room and back into the hallway. She looked back at him and grinned again as soon as the door closed behind them. "Okay, is there something I'm missing?" He asked seriously stopped her in her tracks. Still smiling she turned around and pressed her body to his and wrapped her arms around his neck. On her tippy-toes she kissed him. One of those knock you to your knees kisses that had her shivering the second there lips met. "It's happening." She looked up into his eyes. He gave her a puzzled look. "The mate thing," She smiled and kissed him again. "Come on let's go back to your room." She laughed and grabbed his hand to pull him. "Whoa," He pulled her back to him. "I have conditions." She pouted. "Sorry to kill you good mood, but it's time you told me exactly what happened to you and your sisters." -- It actually didn't feel like all that long before Alec flipped Big onto his back, which looked like quite the feat. But, now Alec was jumping in and out of the rings instructing everyone else. She didn't even realize that Landon was missing from the sparing. Before her mind even processed the missing body, a large hand was clasped over her lips. "Hello again." Landon whispered into her ear as she squirmed in protest. "Stop moving now or I'll have broken your wrist far faster than Alec can even get over here." She stopped. "Good, now I'm going to remove my hand from your mouth, but as soon as I do all you have to say is, "I slept with Alec," Simple, right?" He brushed his lips over her ear." 3....2...." But, one never came as she felt Landon freeze. "If you don't get your hands off of her right now I'm going to kill you." Alec said in something that couldn't even be described as a voice. Landon didn't move fast enough though as Alec ripped him from her, causing Emma to fall to the floor with his force. Within seconds pair of hands was lifting her from the ground. Turning her head she saw a familiar face, it was Liam, the man that had very literally dragged her from Gustavo's bed that night she was rescued. He brushed those familiar thick fingers over her fading bruises. "I really am sorry for hurting you, I didn't know." Liam muttered looking genuinely sorry as he stared at his fingers over the matching bruises. She attempted the closest thing she could muster to a grin, since Alec was only feet away beating the hell out of Landon. "It's okay, but if you want to really make it up to me go pull Alec off of that guy." He had a small smile. "Challenge accepted." She watched, eyes squinted, as two other vampires had to join Liam to pull Alec from Landon. Literally pulling him off the ground and setting him down feet away. "Don't do this in front of the girl!" Liam shouted. With a loud growl Alec set off toward Emma. His night black hair was a mess and his normally aqua eyes were red. Yet, she wasn't afraid. As soon as he got within reach Emma grabbed onto his hand with both of hers and let him pull her out of the gym. Leaving Landon momentarily unconscious on the ground with eight vampires circled around him. -- "I know you don't want to tell me and I understand." Collin said taking her hands in his. "I just need to know, so I can understand what happened to you and what kind of war I've gotten in to." "As long as you know this isn't going to be easy." She said turning away from him to lean over the railing. They stood out on Collin's balcony with the afternoon sun beginning to lower. Annabeth stared out on the city view and gripped the railing tight as she willed herself to begin. "I'm actually part Werewolf, as you know." She started. "My mother is human, she left when I was five haven't seen her since." She told him."When she left my dad we all went back to the pack. The pack raised me and my sister as if we were full Werewolf. Life was normal until about two months ago." She stated as the memories began to fly back. "Keep going." He muttered interlacing his fingers that craved to touch her. "A lone wolf by the name of Gustavo came to my pack two months ago. He said he just wanted a place to stay for the night." She added trying to keep her emotions under control. After a short pause she caught Collin's gaze and started again. "He came to my room that night and told me I was his mate. I knew he wasn't from the second our eyes met." She said a little shaky watching Collin's eyes as they were fixed on her face. "The next thing I knew he was on top of me trying to get me to kiss him. I screamed. The next thing I knew one of my cousins was dragging him off me." She said quietly. Collin was completely engrossed in her story as he watched her face carefully. "Well, after him being roughed up a bit by my cousins he was thrown off our territory. Everything was fine for about a month. I had almost totally wiped that event from my memory." She sighed. "He came back with a pack of rogues. It had all been a big lie. He was actually the alpha of his own pack. They had sheer numbers on their side as they literally ripped though our defenses. Most of our men died, all because of me." She said solemnly. A few tears beginning to fall sliding down her cheeks. Even if he was furious on the inside for what she had already told him he knew it would get worse and what she needed now was support not anger. "Come here." Collin whispered, but she hesitated. "Please." She untangled her fingers from the railing and turned toward him. Losing all her hesitation she took a step toward him. "It's not your fault." He reassured using the pad of his thumb to wipe a stray tear. Collin pulled her to the rest of the way to him and she didn't resist as she pressing her cheek to his collarbone. The way he said it made her want to believe him but she couldn't. Taking a few deep breaths of his comforting scent she began again. "I don't know what's left of the pack. All I know is the people I saw killed. At the end of it all my cousins, dad, and my two sisters were left along with me in our houses basement; my dad and cousins were all in wolf ready for a fight. It didn't take long before I witnessed everyone but my two sister's throats being ripped out. Blood was everywhere it became a daze as me and my sisters were dragged out of there. Neither Kadence nor Emma will tell me what happened to them after that." She said lowly, pressing her forehead to him and taking a ragged breath. "I never saw them again after that I had my hands restrained with some kind of crude rope." She said rubbing her wrists behind his back."I was pushed into a huge lavish room falling right on my face at Gustavo's feet. I pretended to have an arm injury from being brought there. I was trying anything to keep him from touching me. As I learned in my two weeks with him he was heartless. He raped me right there on the floor he didn't even move me out of that position or untie me, I was a virgin." She said beginning to tremble as the pain shot back to her and tears dragging down her face. "Look at me." Collin said releasing his hold on her. Annabeth unwrapped her arms from him, and met his sliver eyes with her own tear soaked ones. "Everything is going to be fine." He whispered taking her face in his hands. "I won't let anyone else hurt you ever again." "Heartless." She said, while another ragged breath racked her body."He just kept on repeating how much he loved me the whole time he was with me." She said sucking in a breath. Collin was having an extremely hard time keeping the other side from coming out right now; just the word rape had set him off. This time it didn't want to come out to have Annabeth it wanted to hurt the person that had hurt her. "Let go." She muttered pressing herself against him again. "How did you know?" He asked eyebrows furrowed wrapping his arms around her. "You're shaking." She murmured hugged him tighter feeling his slight shake. She could almost feel his struggle. With a blink of an eye he was in his true form. She just pretended like nothing happened and continued holding on to him. The only thing that changed was the fact that the grip on her became more possessive and he began to lightly slide his finger tips up and down her spine. "That was just the beginning." She mumbled. "I stayed naked in his room. He came back to sleep and to rape me, but that was it. After the second week mark I came up with a plan to escape, I couldn't take it anymore. When he came in that night I put up a huge struggle actually causing him to snap my arm. He didn't know I was part werewolf, so I was healed by the next morning, but he had no idea so I played the scared fragile girl for awhile. The night you found me was the night I escaped." She continued. "He didn't use the regular guard to sit by the door and make sure I didn't escape because of my 'hurt arm' that night. I had pulled on the clothes I had arrived in and took off running like a maniac. I really thought I had eluded them then until he sent his two flunkies Jason and Henderson." Collin was breathing heavily and shallowly, she knew his other side would go along with anything she wanted to do at the moment. She was done explaining and wanted to get her mind of the past and knew exactly how to do it. He was going to be angry once he gained control again for her taking advantage of him, but she didn't care. He needed to learn the vampire just as well as the man didn't want to hurt her. Taking his hand she led him inside and gently pushed him down on the bed. Annabeth grinned as she crawled on top of him and froze inches above his face. He was breathing even heavier now, she knew Collin was trying to regain control and failing. Without hesitation she cupped his face in both hands and kissed him. For a few seconds she just froze simply laying her lips on his. It was almost like a sick challenge to see if he could control himself not to kiss her back. A rumble started deep in his chest suddenly, but she didn't move. Like the snap of a twig his control broke and crumbled in seconds. The next things she knew she was flipped onto her back and her head was spinning. He was growling deep in his chest continuously and kissing her back with all the pent up desire he'd been storing away. And she only spurred him on. Her arms were now wrapped around his neck along with her legs around his hips. It was almost an unconscious reaction to him for her. Annabeth felt as if she had to hold on because when he kissed her it felt as if the only thing holding her to this Earth was him. For having nearly one inch fangs in his mouth this had to be her best kiss. She liked to kiss him when he was like this, there was no holding back. The passion she felt flow from him, only increased her own. He broke the kiss suddenly, but one look at his eyes showed that he hadn't gained control. Instead his lips trailed down her neck kissing and nibbling all the way down. Her hands moved to unbutton her white button down, yet she only unbuttoned one. His lips worshipped the flesh she had revealed and in another second she unbuttoned the rest in one foul swoop. Every kiss and light nip of his teeth on her flesh sent a jolt straight to her clit that had her sweating and groaning at every touch. "Collin." she moaned as his tongue swirled around her bellybutton. In a few seconds his lips reached the waist of her skinny jeans and he froze as if the pause button had been pressed. "God damn, don't stop now. " She begged. Yet, she felt him shiver and knew instantly. "Collin," She whispered. "Please don't be mad at me." He didn't reply, but instead crawled back up her body and looked her in the eye before he spoke. With her legs still wrapped around his waist he began. "I don't know what's going through your mind. You know what? Never mind, I know exactly what's going through your mind. But, I want you to say it." Without hesitation she replied. "I want you." He took a deep uneven breath at her words. "I just don't understand how you can have all that happen to you and then go and endanger yourself my seducing me when I'm not in control. "I wasn't trying to seduce you." Her hand came up to run her fingers through his hair. "I just wanted to kiss you. I mean I wanted you to kiss me the way the vampire does. Not holding back at all." "Why didn't you just tell me that?" He asked. "I don't have to endanger you just to let go a little." He just looked at her for a second with her wild hair thrown about the pillow, her pale pink lips a little more swollen than usual, and her shirt open revealing her lightly tanned skin and cream lace bra. It was hard to stay mad at her. It Was Fate Ch. 06 Yet, he was distracted for a second as he ran a finger over a red mark on her stomach. "This is gonna leave a hicky." He chuckled. "It'll be gone in a few minutes. " She mumbled eying it for herself. "But, I want you to prove to me that you can kiss like that." "You're insatiable." He laughed rolling her on top of him. -- Emma sat on the edge of Alec's bed as he paced back in forth in front of it. His eyes were aqua again, but he was far from calm. She had been sitting there for probably around fifteen minutes and she couldn't stand it anymore. "Alec." She whispered. "What?" He snapped not even stopping his angry pacing. "Are you mad at me?" "You know what." He muttered and came over to where she was sitting. Putting both hands flat on the bed on either side of her legs he got in her face. "Before I had to play bodyguard with you my own team member wasn't trying to oust me. Now I'm going to have to replace one of my best men. So I'm pretty angry at everyone right now, including you." He uttered staring her in the eyes. He had a hot temper and it only took one innocent question to push him off the edge. "You're just an ass." Emma stood up and pushed him off with both hands on his chest. "You have no idea what he said to me and you're going to be mad at me?!" She shouted. "You don't even deserve for me to defend myself." She growled and stormed toward the door. "Do you even know what could happen to you out there?!" He yelled. She turned to look at him right as a tear streamed down her cheek. "I'm starting to think it wouldn't be such a bad thing to die." In the next second she was out the door and gone. The second the door slammed behind her and she took a step down the hall she ran directly into no other than Liam Lee. Emma nearly fell backward as she literally bounced off of his chest. "Emma? What the hell are you doing out here without Alec?!" He asked grabbing on to her forearms and preventing her emanate fall. Yet, when she finally looked up at him his face softened. "What did he do?" "It's not important." She muttered lowly. "Just let me go and I'll be on my way." He laughed. "Either I'm taking you back to Alec, to your sister and Collin, or you can come hang out with me." He smiled at the last choice. "I'd love to make my manhandling up to you." He continued grinning. She just stared at him for a second considering her options and take the time to actually look at him. Liam was a big dude at probably around six feet tall and as buff as could be. His long short dark brown hair was gathered in the middle to create a soft faux hawk. She kind of like his style complete with the grey jeans and black tee shirt. "I hope you know that this is nothing. I mean nothing like me." She said watching his eyes study his face. "But, I'm far from willing to go back to assface or to my sister. So, get me out of this place." He laughed. "Come on, we'll find something to do." It Was Fate Ch. 07 "No, no, no!" Kadence refused, shaking her head sending her long light brown hair flying. "I can do it by myself." "Ha!" Eli laughed crossing his arms. "You. Can't. Fucking. Walk." He repeated extra slow. "What part of that don't you get?" "I can hop." She argued crossing her arms too. "Yeah, right. Your just gonna jump a foot in a half over the bathtub." He snorted in frustration. "I can get myself in the shower and that's that!" Kadence sat on Eli's bed, her ankle propped up, and a stubborn look on her face. There was no way in hell he'll be helping her in and out of the shower. Even if he wouldn't see anything, she still didn't need his help. She didn't need anyone's help! "You'll do what I tell you." He stated catching her eyes and clenching his jaw. Eli was close to breaking. This woman was going to drive him up a wall. All she did was argue with everything he said today and make sarcastic remarks. He had a lot of patience, but it was the end of his first day with her and it was barely hanging on by a thread. The only thing that she would see soon was his temper. "No." She kept his gaze and pressed her lips together in a firm line. "I'm giving you one last chance." He closed his eyes and took a breath. "Let me help you." He said eyes closed and praying she said something that wasn't stubborn. "No." That simple word shoved him off the edge and he was passed the point of talking. As calmly as he could force his body to move, he simply walked over to where she lay and roughly throw her over his shoulder in one fluid motion. -- It was maybe ten o'clock when Liam had hugged her goodnight and left her at Alec's door. Emma understood that he had to. When James called Liam he made it pretty clear that she had to be back in Alec's possession and that he was going to rip Alec a new ass for letting her leave. But, now here she stood in front of his door and paralyzed. She couldn't believe what she had said to him and now she was afraid of his reaction now. Her hands even shook at her sides. He was just plain scary. Come one, you're being ridiculous! She told herself. With a deep breath her arm slowly extended and she knocked at the door daintily. Seconds turned into eternity as the door opened ever so slowly. There stood Alec, all 6 feet of pure sex and muscle. The picture she had in her head of him never could quite get his devilishly good looks right. Of course all he wore was the same pair of black jogging shorts he wore earlier that hung low on his hips, exposing an uncomfortable amount of the deep 'v' his hip bones created. He was still scary. After a few seconds of intense staring he took a step back and motioned her to walk in. With quick strides she passed him without hesitation. "I'm sorry." He said suddenly breaking the silence as he shut the door. "Just to let you know I don't mean it. I'm being forced to say it." She was taken aback for a second and then she saw a vampire lounging on Alec's couch over in the corner of his room. She could only guess that was James. He was a handsome man of course with dark brown hair and eyes to match and was awfully well dressed. He sat there in black dress pants and a white button up with sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He stood up as Emma paused in the hallway. "I'm James Allenton." He said striding to her to take her hand. "I'm filling in for Collin for a little while." He muttered releasing her hand. "And frankly it sucks." He said eyes fixed on Alec and jaw clenched. Alec smiled widely back at him. "Now I'll be going." James walked away and gave Alec another intense stare as he passed. The door slammed and they were alone. "Jesus Christ, get in the shower." He crinkled his noise. "You smell like you rubbed yourself against Liam." "Maybe I did." She snapped back at him as she brushed passed him and into the bathroom. She caught a look of anger in his eyes as she passed. -- "Collin," Annabeth murmured. "Hmmm," He replied looking down at her in the pitch black bedroom. Annabeth lay beside Collin, her head propped up by her arm which lay on his chest. They had both just began to drift off when Annabeth decided she couldn't wait any longer to talk. "What will you do with me and my sisters when this all finally boils over?" She whispered moving her arm and setting her ear against his bare chest. She could hear his slow steady heart beat, for some reason it was calming. That only made this harder. "Believe me, I've been thinking about that a lot." He said sliding his finger tips down her back, his gaze fixed on the ceiling. "All I know is that you're gonna stay with me. I don't think without you being completely mated to me I could handle it quite yet." "You mean sex right?" She asked. "Yes." "Can I ask you something?" Annabeth asked her voice low as she looked away from him. "Of course," He replied his tone soft and inviting. "I don't know what we exactly are to each other." She whispered extra low. "But, can we just take a break from this mate thing until this all blows over?" He sat up quickly causing her to tumble off him unceremoniously. "Take a break from this mate thing?" He nearly growled with his teeth clenched. "Do you have any idea how tight of a reign I have on him just to keep from bending you over?" He continued his eyes hard, she knew by him he meant his vampire. She scooted away from him and could only glare at him unbelieving. "Collin, I'm sorry." She said jumping up off the bed. She had never seen him this angry at her. It was scary. He took a breath before he could speak. "You're not sorry." He mumbled climbing from the bed to face her. "You're basically asking me to fight for you, but then telling me you don't want to get too attached to me in case I die." Her jaw dropped. What he said was exactly true. "B-but." She stumbled over her words. She could only look up at him in shock. "Yeah, you didn't think I'd figure it out." He walked back over to the bed. "But, you know what? I'll do it. But, my friends don't exactly get the treatment my mate does." He explained, it nearly sounded threatening. Grabbing a pillow off the bed he threw in on the couch followed by a blanket that was folded up at the end of the bed. He wasn't even going to sleep in the same bed with her, great. With speed so fast she could barely see him he turned the lights back off and crawled on the couch. She was so shocked she just stood there a few moments in the complete darkness contemplating what she had just done. She had just possibly ruined the best thing that had ever walked into her life. -- Kadence stood underneath the showerhead letting steamy water beat onto her back as she balanced on one leg. She had been done nearly five minutes ago, yet Eli sat on the toilet a mere foot away. He didn't even trust her enough to yell for him when she was done. Taking a deep breath she reached forward and turned off the water. Not a second later a towel was draped across the shower rod. Taking it quickly she wrapped it around herself and dragged the shower curtain open. She came face to face with Eli. He stood looked angry and like he wouldn't take any shit. Without wasting a second he bent over and prepared to throw her over his shoulder as he had done earlier. "Eli." She said quietly like a young girl afraid of being scolded. She was stubborn and very difficult, but she tended to forgot he was a vampire and could make her do anything he liked. It brought her down a notch, for now. "What?" He muttered slowly, frustration still in his tone. "Could pick me up the other way?" She asked looking at him. The last thing she wanted was to be thrown over his shoulder again and his arm touch her in places she preferred not to be touched by him. "Fine." He mumbled quickly. Five minutes later she was dressed and in bed. Kadence had a feeling this wasn't going to be an easy time with Eli. -- The morning light had just begun to sift through the flimsy white curtains when a sudden door slam caused Annabeth to jerk her head up from the pillow. It was James. "What the hell are you doing on the couch?" James asked. "Ah, first fight eh?" Collin sat up in his gray boxers and scratched his head. "Read my mind." He stated looking up at him with one eye closed his voice husky from sleep. James peered into his mind into the memories and watched his memory of last night like a video clip. "I'm sorry," was the only thing he could think of to say. He couldn't personally imagine his mate Stella asking him that. Well, with two vampires they both felt the same way about each other. "Well, you barged in what the hell do you want?" Collin asked leaning forward and rubbing his eyes. "It's on Collin. Paula at the front desk told me some dark haired guy with lime green eyes gave this to her this morning at dawn. "He explained throwing an already opened envelope with his name written on the front into his lap. His hands moved quickly as he tore the letter out of the envelope and unfolded it. His eyes moved quickly to scan the letter. It was even hand written: "Prepare Yourself. Gustavo Galvani" Collin growled audible standing up, crumbling the letter in his hand. "I've already got a plan." James said putting his hands up. "Hugo down at the car lot has already brought two four-wheel drive trucks down to the front parking lot. I've contacted Eli and Alec and their packing Emma and Kadence up. I had Hugo stash a thousand bucks cash in the glove boxes, and programmed the GPS's to the coordinates of two different secluded safe houses." "Do you really think it's best to split them up?" Collin asked contemplating the idea himself, while trying to maintain calmness. "I've been thinking of that to, but the more discreet the better. Just think if we sent half the Elites and her sisters up there, the scent trail would be easy as hell to find. Just one vampire and one girl equals a virtually invisible scent trail considering where I'm sending them is far enough away to smudge there scents alone." James explained tapping his foot impatiently the entire time. "You're right." Collin stated rubbing the back of his neck. "Go make sure everything is in place, I want them gone a quickly as possible." The next thing they knew he was gone and Annabeth was sitting up in bed staring intently at him. "Get up. I've got business to attend to and you're coming with me." He said his voice hard as he headed to the bathroom. -- "What's going on?" Emma asked her eyes wide as she watched Alec throw some warm clothes in a duffle bag. He wore dark wash jeans and a white t-shirt and still looked incredibly sexy. Still scary, but the scariest part was that he could read minds. Liam hadn't spared a single detailed about him last night at their short dinner. He had told her to pack to, which was already done. Since, all she owned fit into a large shopping bag. Its contents included a tooth brush, tooth paste, hair brush, soap, and clothes and under garments. "Oh, were talking nice again?" Alec snapped like a bratty teenager stuffing his boxers into the bag. "This is serious, stop being immature." She crossed her arms standing in the doorway with her bag. She only bothered to throw a bra and shorts on for this 'road trip' he had previously said they were going on. "That's funny, five century year old being immature." He said completely the void of humor. "This isn't funny. Alec, I'm scared. Just please tell me." She said softly. There it was, the thing that his vampire couldn't resist protecting, vulnerability. He froze and his other side had a go at him before he continued packing. "James told me that Galvani sent a letter that said "Prepare Yourself", so they want you and your sister out as they prepare and most likely fight." "Why do they want us out?" She asked watching him intently as he zipped up his bag and faced her. "Collin is preparing for the worst, if they can't defeat them." He said walking over to where she was. Getting into her personal space. "Then, why is Annabeth staying with him?" She questioned, her breath quickening as his close proximity. "If I had to guess, he hasn't mated her yet. It's only instinct to not let her out of his sight." Alec explained walking past her and into the bathroom. He emerged a second later. "Thank you," She said lowly, "for explaining everything to me." -- Hey guys, :) Hope you enjoyed. Sorry this chapter isn't very hot, working my way to it. I promise the next chapters will make up for it. ;) Thanks for reading and any comments or rates! SSG It Was Fate Ch. 08 Annabeth was sitting back in Collin's all too familiar office, on his dark leather couch. It wasn't exactly the place she wanted to be at the moment. This was the place Collin basically told her she was his mate and where they shared their first kiss. And now she had ruined it all with her selfishness and off the charts issues. She needed to fix this. She sighed and exhaled some regret as she watched Collin as he sat behind his desk, with his feet up, making phone call after phone call; every once and a while he'd sneak a glare at her and it wasn't a happy look in his silver eyes. He finally slammed the phone back into the holster and stood up. "Let's go." He commanded standing up and waiting for her while running his hand over his short blonde hair. She stood up and walked over to him and unconsciously tried to take his hand, but he jerked away instantly and wouldn't look her in the eye. She prayed he would just take her hand and tell her it was all going to be okay, but she had heard what he said: "my friends don't exactly get the treatment my mate does." He meant every word too. She trailed behind him as exited the office floor with her head facing the ground. She just really wasn't in the mood to meet the gazes of the vampires working in that office. The only time she looked up was to smile at the frizzy haired human receptionist, Leo. He still cowered a little when Collin passed from their little traumatic experience a few days or so ago. It was hard to believe it had been barely a week since she had met Collin and traumatized poor Leo with Collin's more vicious side that did anything but traumatize her. She needed to file away a note mentally to ask about why Leo worked in vampire headquarters. Annabeth followed silently as Collin met with James in the elevator. James wore his normal preppy attire, which today included khaki pants and a tucked in white button down that was rolled to his elbows. He kept sending disapproving gazes at both Collin and Annabeth the whole ride down to the lobby and the entire walk that ended with sliding in the back of a black car with dark tinted windows. The drive to their destination was short, but awkward. Spending five minutes rubbing knees with the very man the mildly hated her and his best friend wasn't exactly how she wanted to spend any of her time this overcast afternoon. They exited the car the opposite side they all entered and now Collin dragged her to her feet by her elbow. He didn't loosen his grip as they walked into the building. She knew he was still terribly possessive of her, but didn't want to give her luxury of actually holding his hand. Ass. Suddenly, as they entered the brick building she felt terribly underdressed. Men wearing suits and ties and women wearing business suits scurried around the room. To think about it she was the least dressed up person in there. Collin had on black pants and a blue button-up and all she had on was jeans and a white blouse. The arm that wasn't being dragged wrapped itself around her middle self-consciously. Annabeth felt like she was in a hurricane of office workers as they swirled desk to desk and filing cabinet to filing cabinet faster then she though they should be able to move in finely polished leather shoes and high heels. Collin finally dragged her out of the mayhem and into a more quiet area with a single dark wood desk and then finally into a conference room. Only two men sat at the table, one sat at the head and the other beside him. Ah, now she knew where they were. They were in the government building. And those two old men at the head of the table were the governor and the mayor of this city. The old men stood. "Collin Sangue and James Allenton," the governor smiled and shook their hands and then turned to Annabeth as the mayor did the same. "Annabeth Wolfe," She introduced herself taking the man's hand with a polite smile and repeating her actions with the other. Quickly they all sat down and the mayor began speaking with his hands even before his mouth could catch up. "Where's that scary fellow, um Alec was his name?" He asked. James laughed. "He's temporarily on guard duty defending an important asset." He smiled. Annabeth still couldn't get over how beautiful vampires were when they smiled. "I see," The old man said smoothing his tie, "now down to business boys. You say you want to completely evacuate nearly an entire square mile of city and residential area?" The man raised an eyebrow raising his hooded eyelid with it. "Less want and more need." Collin said strictly his business face on. "You see here," He pulled out a map from a manila folder on the table in front of him and uncapped a red sharpie. "Here is the rogue pack that needs extermination," He stated circling a large area in the state preserve. "This is going to be our home base for now as we call in some reinforcements for this fight," He told them circling Sangue Suites on the map. "So, this area here," He boxed in the area between the hotel and the tree line, "will need to be evacuated for the people's safety. These rogues don't think much of humans and wouldn't care to kill a few during the battle." "I see," The governor said and sat back in his chair with a loud squeak. "Do you have a detailed plan to cover this all up?" He folded his wrinkled hands in his lap. Collin laughed, of course he did. He slid a white folder down to the front of the governor. "The nuclear power plant had a small leak and you need to make sure the area is safe for people again." He said simply. "Ah, but what about noisy news 'copters that want a view of this 'leak'," The man asked stroking his chin, which was covered with gray stubble. "Give the workers Friday off and show them a barren nuclear plant." Collin explained. "The rest of the specifics are in that folder. And I mean everything." Collin stood up. "Thanks for your time gentlemen. You promise to get that area evacuated and we'll promise to take care of this issue." "One last thing Mr. Sangue," the mayor finally spoke up, "when I spoke with you at the beginning of the week you had said you'd been monitoring this pack. What happened to this so called one man mission you had described you were supposed to be able to complete." Collin laughed a dry humorless laugh. "I greatly underestimated the pack numbers, sir." Annabeth watched James smirk out of the corner of her eye. "Now gentlemen I have many issues to take care of." Collin didn't have time for lollygagging. They were out of their as fast as they got in. -- The lush green scenery quickly faded to beautiful oranges and reds as Emma stared out the deep-tinted window of the truck they had been given. The colors of the leaves weren't the only things that were changing. The landscape gradually become hillier as the day also gradually slipped away. It was 7 PM and the temperature had moved from a comfortable 72 to touching the lower sixties as the day light came to an end. So far this ride was mainly a quiet one. Alec was definitely not a talker and she wasn't the type to strike up a conversation with a person let alone a vampire. The silence was awkward for the first hour, but now it was comfortable and she at least had the radio playing to fill it. They had only stopped a few times for rest stops, to get her food, and once to gear up a little. It would have creeped her out that he seemed to also know when she was hungry or had to had to pee if she didn't know about his little ability. She tried to control her thoughts, but that only made her think about things she really didn't want to think about like Alec in many stages of undress. They had stopped at a camping supply store and Alec made sure she was outfitted with warm clothes. She couldn't see how the current weather could call for all the warm clothes and blankets, but she didn't verbalize her argument. She wasn't much in to arguing about things she could careless about. They also had a cooler in the back with food, a couple cases of water, extra blankets, other necessities, and full gas cans. Emma was in a good mood for the most part, but she didn't know why. Her life was a mess and her entire pack was dead or missing. Her only comfort was the fact her life was so fast paced at the moment she had no time to think about it. She secretly feared the moment she found herself bored and let her mind drifted to her reality. Yet, for now her mind was on trying to figure out Alec and fear for the war that was getting ready to take place. Her mind was on overdrive and she found herself drifting off while tilted back in her seat. -- Kadence sat in a similar situation, except she sat in the passenger with her arms crossed and her jaw clenched. She couldn't stand Eli. He was a bossy arrogant ass. All he had done so far on this trip was order her around and of course she argued no matter what he had ordered her to do. He sat there driving, his own jaw clenched in frustration. She wanted to throw her hands up and run away all ready, and they weren't even to their safe house where they would be spending the next seven days. "Are all vampires this infuriating?" She asked staring straight ahead. Kadence wasn't one to keep any of her thoughts to herself. He didn't answer. This woman was content in driving him crazy. "You're not gonna talk to me anymore Eli?" She fake pouted and looked at him. That's the only way he could keep his sanity. At first verbal sparring with her was kind of fun. He hadn't met a woman who could keep up with him, but now he was tired and more than a little stressed. His clan was about to take on the previously thought smallest pack to biggest pack of rogue werewolves in the East and all he could do was protect this quick tongued girl. She was suddenly more serious. "The next stop we should stop and get some board games." "Good idea." He caught himself answering before he remembered his pact of silence. She didn't reply with some snide comment though. The silence filled the truck again. -- After following Collin around the entire day Annabeth was exhausted and actually excited to head back to Collin's room and sleep. After the meeting with the Governor and Mayor, Collin dragged her down to this gigantic vampire gym in the basement to greet at least 100 serious faced vampire men and women. She was surprised he could handle that. She had held her tongue all day and needed to say what she wanted to say all day. The door slammed behind her and she found herself alone with him, but not for long, he didn't waste a second to take a sharp right turn into the bathroom and close the door behind him. Annabeth though about what to do for a second and then decided she wasn't a pansy. Without hesitation she slipped into the bathroom after him and found the bathroom already steamy and a pile of clothes on the floor. Slowly Annabeth disrobed and placed her clothes on top of his and tip-toed over to the shower. She was both naked and about to put herself out there; she didn't know which was worse. "I can hear you, you know?" Collins voice suddenly broke through the steamy bathroom. Her eyes snapped to his foggy outline of his body in the glass shower wall. She didn't say and word, but instead slipped through the doorway and into the shower. It took her a second to get over the nakedness, but at least his shower was large and she was far away from direct contact with him. She couldn't help herself as she watched a stream of water travel down his face, down his muscled chest, and over the contours of his abs as it slipped between the 'v' of his hip bones. She ripped her gaze from the stream of water before it travelled someplace she was less familiar with. She took a deep breath and willed herself to say something. "I-I need to talk to you." She finally managed to say, crossing her arms over her breasts and trying to keep her eyes from traveling south. She was frozen beside the entrance and wasn't moving anywhere soon. "First of all, I don't talk to my friends naked in the shower." He said voice hard, trying to stay mad at the beautiful naked woman in front of him. He saw that way she unconsciously licked her lips as she looked at him. It nearly gave him an instant hard-on. He had to struggle to control himself already and she hadn't even touched him. "I don't care." She said lowly trying to maintain focus. No matter how much of an ass he was she still lusted after him. "I want to tell you a little something about me." "I'm listening." He muttered impatiently working soap into his hair and walking out of the water and motioning for her to take her turn. She reluctantly tiptoed under the rain showerhead. Then quickly slipped out and began shampooing her hair as he replaced her spot underneath the showerhead. She took another breath and began. "Everyone I love either leaves me or dies. That's just how it is with me, okay?" She admitted voice rising with the emotion in her voice. He ran his hands down his face and opened his eyes. Collin watched her as she violently washed her hair. "So, if you're not with me you won't leave or die." They swapped places again and she soaped up her body quickly and was rinsing off by the time he began speaking. "You're telling me you left me before I could leave you or die?" He raised a suspicious eyebrow as he crossed his arms across his chest. Her logic was infuriating. He wasn't even going to comment on the 'everyone I love' part of her sentence. "Yes!" She exclaimed. She crossed her arms again as he uncrossed his and approached her. The distance was closed quickly and he took both of her wet forearms in his hands and forced them away from her body. "Why don't you understand?" He said eyes suddenly intense. "I will never leave you and if you asked, I wouldn't fight in this war either." He just stared down at her awaiting her reply his grip a little more than snug. "I have one last reason." She stated voice a little lower. He nodded and she opened her mouth to speak, but then shut it again. His eyes made her feel weak. She kept opening and closing her mouth like a fish out of water. "I'm not going to bite. Tell me." He soothed in that voice she had craved all day. It scared her how his tone of voice could calm her the way it did. "I think, I think I love you." Her voice cracked on the last hurried words. That's what he wanted to hear. The grip on her arms didn't drop, but did loosened. He relaxed his face so she couldn't read him, yet kept his eyes on hers. Then, for a split second she could have sworn his eyes flashed to red, but then they were back to silver and they were on her face intently. There were finally emotions on his face she could read, happiness and a little lust. His eyes flashed from her lips to her eyes and in the next second his lips were on hers. He didn't wait or tease her like normal. No, his tongue entered her mouth and she followed his suit. She made a small grunting sound in pure pleasure as his hands each cupped a breast and he teased the now hard nubs with the pads of his thumbs. His rough hands slid down her until they were wrapped around her waist and roughly holding her against him and then pressed her into the wall, hard. He wanted to feel every inch of her against him. Her hands balled into fists in his hair as he merciless pulled out all the tricks that she loved the most. He lightly nibbled at her bottom lip with his fangs and she let out a little moan of pleasure in which he muffled with his lips. This was heaven. The feel of his warm hard muscled body against hers, the smell of his masculine scent swirling around her, the taste of his passion, and the sight of the lust in his eyes had her insides turning to mush. When she was in his arms the world suddenly wasn't so cruel anymore. Suddenly, a knock on the door rattled through the steamy bathroom. It caused Collin to make an inhuman growl of frustration. He broke their kiss, but then kissed her again for a couple seconds. Ruefully, he released her and turned "I'll be right back." He said softly. She couldn't help but watch his erection bob as he walked out of the shower. It was hard to believe she could affect him like he affected her. -- Alec grumbled to himself. The path to their safe house was a little more than over grown. He could barely see the old dirt path to the house. He was exhausted and frustration on top did nothing to help with his temper. Just as he lost all hope his high beams illuminated a small log cabin with vines completely concealing it. If he wasn't looking for it he would have missed it. It wasn't like Emma was much help. She sat curled up in the passenger seat asleep; which he found quite amazing considering how bumpy the two mile ride out here had been. He threw open the driver's side door and jumped on to ground, smashing the weeds beneath his brown leather boots. The cold air hit him suddenly and he was thankful he was immune to weather. He softly shut the driver's side door and left it running. He locked it with the keys as he walked up the stone path. Looking around he slid his key into the lock and then entered the pass code on a pad situated on the door. The door unlocked audibly and he slid in the small house. He wanted to thoroughly check this place out before he brought Emma in here. He flipped on the light switch and the room came into clear view. It definitely was a small cabin. On the far wall of the cabin against the right wall was a queen sized bed covered in some type of furs and two bedside tables on each side of the bed. Then, to the left of the bed on the other wall was a small kitchen with a refrigerator and gas stove. Lastly, against the wall the front door was on was a fire place with a light brown leather couch and matching arm chair situated around it. Another fur of some type lied between the furniture and fireplace. After thoroughly checking the great room he wondered into the only other room, which was the small bathroom. All it had was a toilet and stand up shower. Pleased that they were alone in the forest and cabin he slid out the door and unlocked the truck. He opened the passenger side door and picked her up before she could unceramoniclly tumble onto him. Her eyelashes fluttered, but she didn't awaken. Yet, she did press herself against him as the cold air assaulted her bare arms and legs. It sickened him that such powerful creatures like werewolves would be after such a defenseless creature. That only increased the feeling that she was his to protect. His vampire was really getting into this and he knew that only helped him with this job. The girl in his arms was worth one hundred grand in his bank account and he needed to make sure she came back without a scratch. Well, not that he needed the money. He kicked open the door and set her down on the bed. He first pulled off her flip flops and then pulled the fur and sheets down and picked her back up and slid her beneath them. Her head fell to the side on the pillow and he couldn't resist brushing the hair from her face. What the hell is wrong with me? He thought as he headed back to the truck and locked it moving with inhuman speed. Maybe he was just sex starved. That made sense. Locking the house up, he began undoing his belt. Throwing his boots and jeans followed by his shirt into a pile by the couch he decided he'd unload the stuff in the morning. He could barely suppress the sigh of contentment when his body hit the bed. He rolled to his side and closed his eyes. Yet, Alec didn't even have time to fall asleep before Emma wormed her way over to him. "I'm freezing." She murmured her voice husky from sleep. She was very desperately cold. The kind of cold you cuddled with a vampire to warm up cold. It Was Fate Ch. 08 He didn't reply, but instead scooted the rest of the over to her. She was on her side so he ended up spooning her. With a little adjusting he rested his arm across her stomach and settled back down. Less than a couple seconds later she began grumbling to herself again and rolled over until she faced him. Tucking her head beneath his chin she sighed, better. "You're not very warm." She whispered. She felt his chuckle reverberate through his chest. "I'm a vampire honey. I'll warm up as you do." The feel of her softness against him was a feeling he wasn't quite used to yet. She was the first woman he'd shared a bed with in fifty years. She only made a small humming sound as a reply and the next thing she knew was sleep again. -- "Thanks you for setting this all up." He said looking around the small cabin. As fast as he unloaded the truck she had put away all the things James said they would need. All the blood bags and food she would need was in the fridge, extra blankets on the bed, towels in the closet, soaps in the small shower, and toilet paper under the sink in the bathroom. "Eh, no problem. I'm personally happy you let me help."She smiled that signature mischievous grin. "You don't have a hurt ankle anymore, so run around for all I care." He replied taking his shirt off and stuffing it into his bag, which say on the leather couch beside the fire place. He slid his jeans off and stuffed them in his bags and then slid on a pair of red flannel pajama bottoms. She laughed. "Whatever you say lumberjack," She said grabbing her own warm pajamas from her bag and then scooting it back under the bed. If he didn't know better he would have sworn she was flirting with him. No, she couldn't be. He walked over to the door and locked the house up and then slid into bed right as she emerged from the bathroom. Kadence emerged in a pair of grey sweatpants and a simple white tee shirt. "Do you even get cold?" Eli asked as she turned off the light switch and the room went pitch black. He felt her slide into the bed before she answered. "Well, in extreme temperatures. But, not like it is here." She yawned. "It's that werewolf blood I guess". She said and rolled to her side. Eli never answered and silence filled the small cabin. -- Collin checked his watch as he stood outside of his suite door. It was midnight. Fuck. He pulled his key card out of his pocket and unlocked the door. He slithered into his pitch black dark room and began stripping as he silently cursed the interruption that pulled him away from Annabeth, a very naked and turned on Annabeth. When he had answered the door in nothing but a towel James had told him about an urgent matter about a more law abiding nearby pack. After dressing in a whirlwind he spent nearly two hours on a conference call with the pack's alpha and his two betas smoothing over details of the battle that was about to be fought. This pack wanted into the fight. Collin couldn't turn down their help either. When he first rescued Annabeth he had ignorantly assumed that Gustavo had not found any more pack members, but he had been wrong. The compound that Alec described he rescued Emma from was far too large to house a small twenty member pack. No, they had grown to hundreds. And now they were trained and ready for a fight. Collin had figured the more men on his side the better their chances at a victory. He finally had coaxed them into meeting him personally tomorrow just a couple minutes ago. Yet, his mind wasn't on the fight or the wolves. His mind couldn't stop repeating Annabeth's words: "...I think I love you." The words kept running through his mind along with the feel of her feminine softness against him, all wet. Uh, his penis hated him for not mating her tonight and therefore he hated James. He walked into his bedroom, the plush carpet muffling any footsteps. There, in the middle of his bed, was the very object of his lust. Asleep. He mentally shook himself and slid into the bed. It was probably good it didn't happen tonight. His blood was too hot and he didn't want to hurt her because he got too caught up in the moment. He sunk in to the mattress with an audible sigh of relief. "Is everything okay?" Annabeth murmured half asleep as she ungracefully wormed herself to his side. He hooked an arm around her waist and held her tight as her head fell to a pillow, facing away from him. He kissed her temple. "A nearby pack wants revenge on Gustavo's pack. They're meeting us tomorrow to go over some plans." He whispered into hair. "Oh, that's good news then." She said lowly rolling over to face him. "I was worried something bad happened." She kissed his lips softly and then nuzzled him below his chin with her nose. He couldn't get over how cute her little wolf things were. Hell, he couldn't get over how understanding she was. He left her turned on and alone and she reacted by being worried about him. She was perfect and all his. He pressed a lingering kiss into her forehead. "I love you too." Annabeth made a small sound of contentment and a grin grew on her face, yet her eyes weren't open. "What does love mean for a vampire?" She asked her voice barely audible. "It's more like extreme possessiveness. And I thank you in advance for what you're going to have to put up with." He chuckled lightly and was happy he had good enough night vision to catch her little grin and her roll of the eyes. Annabeth turned in his arms to face away and slid her arm on top of his. "What about the man?" She said, but it was partly muffled by a yawn. "To be truthful, I'm starting to lose touch with whatever I was as a human." He whispered and closed his eyes. He awaited a reply, but then minutes passes and he realized she had dosed back off. It was hard for him to believe that she was all his. A part of him didn't want to trust her because of little stunt she pulled, but a much larger part told him she was scared. Only time will tell if she truly understands what being a vampire's mate means. Especially when the human mask falls. ---- Hello faithful readers, I hadn't submitted in a while because I have had two chapters on the back burner. Hope this one answered some questions from the comments of chapter seven. I'm sorry for such long waits between chapters. Thanks for rates, comments, emails, everything! SSG It Was Father's Day It was Father's Day and my husband and I were uncharacteristically alone. I had London Broil in the fridge and asked him to fire up the BBQ. He sauntered into the kitchen in his cotton lounge pants and no shirt. I smiled because I suddenly had an idea. I walked outside and stood behind him as he lit the grill. "What?" he questioned as he turned. "Nothing." I replied with a smile. "Whaaaaat!" he asserted. I looked directly at his flap and pointed. I stepped closer and reached in. He wasn't wearing any underwear, so what I was looking for popped out easily and promptly came to attention. He raised his eyebrows. I twirled around quickly, flaring my short skirt, bent over and dramatically removed my underwear with my bum high in the air while I glanced over my shoulder teasingly to make certain he was watching. Impulsively I flung my tight little white Jockey shorts right onto the lawn. They rested there mischievously, declaring evidence of my naughtiness to anyone who might glance at them. He actually looked shocked, or perhaps he was a bit nervous, as our friends and family normally streamed in and out of our home at all times. Underwear on the lawn wasn't the sort of welcome symbol one would expect, which is exactly why I so enjoyed seeing them right where they were. We were off the main street quite a bit, but if anyone came to the top of the driveway, white Jockeys would be hard to miss on the freshly mowed lawn. His glance was still fixed on them. I assumed he wondered when I'd retrieve them, but instead I decided they needed company, so I continued my strip tease, quickly removing my tank top and aiming to fling them in the directions of my undies. Impressed with my aim, I watched my ribbed black tank top fall directly on top of my whities, camouflaging them a bit. My breasts felt wonderful in the open air and I enjoyed the feel of my hair falling over my nipples, shoulder, and back. I hadn't cut my hair for a very long time and was finding that all the care long hair required was definitely worth it. It looked and felt sexy. I began to debate taking off my skirt but I was enjoying playing with casual twirls, and the slight breeze it produced between my legs excited me. "Let's go inside." He blurted quickly as he stepped toward the door. "No, let's BBQ the meat," I said in as loaded a fashion as I could. Now he was utterly shocked. Recently I had been a bit more experimental, but it seemed this was blowing his mind based on his slack-jawed expression. "Close your mouth," I teased. "I just . . . " he stammered. "You just need to take your balls out too." I replied. Now I was having fun and beginning to feel moist. It wasn't that I was enjoying being dominant, but rather that I was enjoying being able to so utterly shock my husband. It was really turning me on and the updraft of my skirt was making me blissfully aware of my exposed pussy on top of it. I considered simply losing control. I was longing to touch myself, to rub my clit. I flipped my skirt up and sat in a nearby lawn chair. My lips spread onto the hard plastic of the chair, and I wiggled around, smashing them from side to side and rocking. My husband was just standing there staring as I moved around in my own wetness. "Pull your balls out too." I reminded him. He was still staring. "Oh, I'll just do it myself!" I declared and went over to him, trying to catch his eye, which was still, oddly enough, focused on the chair. A quick glance told me he was probably contemplating the obviously shiny smear I had left on the dark green seat top. "Geez! What has gotten into you?" He questioned as he broke his focus. "A Father's Day present?" I tried as I finally did reach into his gaping boxer flap to retrieve what I had been asking for. He let me pull them out and seemed to relax. I assumed he decided to stop questioning and just go along with me. I looked directly up and into his eyes in a seductive a manner as I could possibly project. I was trying to employ "hungry eyes." "Whaaaaat?" He again asked with a playful whine, and this time I laughed. "I'm hungry, and I'm saying it with my eyes." I confessed. "I'll get the meat then," he stated almost relieved, and into the house he went to the refrigerator while the meat I had really wanted dangled threw the flap of his fly. I felt like waving to it as it passed me by. I was a bit confused. There was no way he could have missed that reference; I was sure of it. Minutes later he came out with two bottles of Mike's Hard Lemonade and his now-very-erect dick bobbing happily on his balls. "I thought you were getting the meat." I pointed out. "Oh, you mean MY meat," he teased and handed me my drink. I laughed. That man really knew how to keep a straight face when he ended up playing me. "Guzzle it." He ordered as he downed his. I took a few gulps, but as I was never much of a guzzler, I wound up sitting down, and remembering that I had decided to lose control, I immediately began to mash deliciously on my plastic chair. "That's okay. Just use mine." He offered as he handed me his bottle and took mine. I immediately smiled, because I had played with a bottle for him before on cam once. I threaded my legs through the armed sides of the chair and placed the balls of my feet flat on the ground, my heels raised. My wet spot had grown, especially since I knew how wonderful the cool bottle would feel sliding inside me. I rose up, straight-legged and tippy-toed and placed the bottle under me, on the chair. I immediately squatted and wiggled onto the neck, wetting it while I slid onto it. It felt so hard against my lips and I enjoyed the feeling of it pushing me open with its rigidness. The bottom of my skirt brushed the top of the chair, flaring and covering my point of interest until my husband lifted it with interest. It was a bit big for me, and I had been sore the last time I had played, but the soreness had reminded me of my delicious adventure for days afterward and the slight ache around my core had been titillating when the day was dull. I continued to slowly lower myself onto it, wanting to fully sit on it, but discovering that it was physically too long for me to continue rubbing on the plastic of my chair, I sat on my fists instead, thumbs up, rubbing my clit the best I could as I savored the sensation of having my pussy pushed open so wide. "Raise yourself up again," my husband requested. I was relieved because my thighs were burning from squatting, so I immediately pressed my fists against the bottle to hold it in place and pushed with my already-sore thighs until I was completely straight-legged again. My husband retrieved his bottle and slid his hands over its slickness while giving me an impressed look. He nodded his approval. I smiled at his dick and balls exactly as I had requested them and began to pull my left leg out of the chair arm. "Stay there." He smiled in return as he placed himself directly in front of me and inserted the neck of the bottle back into my pussy. I put my hand on his as I was afraid he would shove it too fast, but he pushed my hand away and looked straight into my eyes firmly while he pushed the bottle into me, parting me, and then letting it fall back out before again pushing it in. He looked deeply into me, trying to set a pace I would enjoy. He knew me very well, so it wasn't long before I was tightening my muscles against the bottle, trying to heighten the sensation of its sliding when I heard a motorcycle engine. A recently single friend of ours had a Harley and a large appetite which caused him to show up at mealtimes, so my first thought was that it was him; but my husband didn't stop, and I certainly didn't want to stop either. I was already very close to cumming, and I decided I wasn't going to give it up, so I held my breath, put my hands on my husband's shoulders, and moved my hips with his pace. I let myself gasp and spasm, riding it as long as my body felt the pleasure. I was looking over my husband's shoulder in the direction of the driveway when I realized he was squirting me with his cum. It was dripping onto my legs and landing on my feet. He was stroking with his freehand and he too was gasping. I giggled as I noted his cum, and he slapped my bum with finality. "Didn't mean to blow it yet," he confessed as he helped my out of the chair. "I love it when you lose control," I threw over my shoulder as I ran into the house by the back door while he put his meat away and walked down the drive where the Harley was parked, halfway up. A few minutes later he came into our room with my undies and tee. "Rob was on the cell phone when I walked down there, so I don't think he realized what we were up to or what these were. He's finishing his call." "Thanks." I grinned. "Hey, Jane," I heard Bob call as he came in the front door. Having reassembled to my normal persona, I ventured into the living room and returned his greeting. "I'm glad you guys haven't eaten yet," he commented, "I'm starving!" With that my husband and I exchanged knowing glances. "Oh," he observed, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything." "No," we both agreed. After all, we had just warmed up the barbeque and our appetites. I had only to wipe the chair.
