She had been invited to a party at a friend of a friend's house, but she wasn't really sure if she wanted to go. She knew that everyone would be drinking, and, even though she had turned twenty-one six months ago, she didn't really have an interest in drinking. Not having a costume gave her a suitable excuse though, so she muted the movie and called her friend. "Lacey?... Yeah, I don't think I'll be going to the party... No. I don't have a costume... No... Really, It's alright. I'll hand out-- Lacey?..." "Lost signal," she said as she looked at her cell phone. She tucked the phone away into the pocket of her jeans as she turned off the tv. The movie she had been watching was over, so she decided to go buy some candy for the trick-or-treaters. She got up and crossed the living room, grabbing her keys as she passed the table in the hall. She reached for her jacket and hesitated a moment before opening the door and leaving without it. The cold never really bothered her much. Besides, the sun was out and she was only planning to be gone a few minutes. She walked to her car and climbed in. Just as she started it, her phone rang. After digging it out of her pocket, she answered the call. "... Yeah, I kinda figured that... I'll just hand out candy... Really?... He asked about me?... Well, maybe I'll stop by... If I can find a costume... Yeah? Good idea. I'll come over now... Bye." She put the phone away then backed out of the drive and headed towards her friend's house instead of the store. Twenty minutes later, Madison pulled up to a blue house and shut off the car. As she opened the door to get out, a blond woman of about the same age stepped onto the porch. "Madison!" Madison smiled and jogged up the steps to meet the blond at the top. The two girls said hello and hugged, then Madison followed Lacey inside. "Madison, you remember my cousin, Kyle. He's a movie-makeup guy now. Awesome, right?" the blond said in a peppy voice. "Hi," Madison gave a little wave. Kyle looked the redhead over, then, after a brief silence, he spoke, "You'd look hot dead." Madison looked to her friend, who just laughed at the man's odd greeting. "He's a little strange, but harmless, really. And I agree," she said as she handed a black case to her cousin. "Oh," Madison laughed sheepishly as she realized he was talking about a costume. "Let's get started then, shall we?" "First, you need something to wear," the blond said as she started down the hall, "To the attic!" Halfway down the hall, she opened a door and walked up the stairs into the darkness. Madison and Kyle followed a moment after. "It's really dusty up here," the blond said, after sneezing. "Bless you," the other two said in unison. After finding and turning on the light, the Madison glanced around for a moment as Lacey began to search for something. "So, what are we looking for?" Madison asked, breaking the silence. "That depends on what you want," Lacey replied, moving an old picture frame out of her way. Kyle, who had thus far been silent, looked at Madison and questioned, "How do you want to die?" Both girls looked at Kyle and burst into laughter. He frowned, an eyebrow rose slightly. "I'm serious. I can make it more realistic if I know how you died." "I'm sorry. Lemme think..." the redhead replied as she stopped laughing. "How about a vampire bite victim?" the blond offered curiously, and after a short pause, she added, "I think Rick is going as a vampire. Wouldn't that be interesting?" "I can do that," Kyle said, looking to Madison, "But it's up to you." "Sounds good," Madison replied, a smile on her face, "Now, what do I wear?" Lacey pulled a suitcase out of the way and moved to an old trunk. She opened it and dug through the clothes, most of which looked like Victorian style dress. She pulled out some dresses and handed them to the nearest person, who just happened to be Kyle, then motioned down the stairs. "We can see them better down there, and you can try them on," she said as she closed the trunk. Navigating her way back towards the stairs, the blond followed the other two out of the attic. "Oh, I like this," Madison said as she reached from one of the dresses. She tugged on the black and red corset dress in the middle of the pile as she followed Kyle down the hall. When he tossed the dresses on the couch, Lacey glared at him. Madison finally got to the dress and pulled it free, holding it up to herself, she spoke. "So, what do you think?" But before anyone could reply, she started down the hall, "I'll go try it on." When the redhead returned to the living room, Kyle and Lacey had their backs to her, looking through the same black case as before. She assumed it was Kyle's makeup kit. She smoothed the black and red dress as she waited for one of them to notice. Kyle saw her first, from the corner of his eye, and turned to face her. His mouth opened, clearly he was stunned, but he didn't speak. He nudged the woman beside him, who turned to say something to him, but instead saw her friend. "Hey, Sexy!" Lacey spoke excitedly as she moved towards her friend. "I wasn't sure if these would fit right," she said as she spun the redhead around. After a few moments of silence, Kyle closed his mouth and nodded. "Uh, you look hot." The girls paused to look at each other, then giggled a bit at the man's delayed response. "A bit late on that, huh Kyle?" Lacey teased her cousin. He grinned sheepishly, then waved the girls out. "You better take that off, least you want makeup on it." The girls laughed as they walked arm-in-arm down the hall talking. A few minutes later, they returned, without the dress. Kyle had set up a make-shift makeup station in the living room and motioned for Madison to sit. He pulled her hair back, away from her face, and began her transformation. Lacey, Kyle and Madison pulled up to a large brick house. By now, the sun had set, but a few rays of light still remained. Lacey turned off the car and looked at Madison. Kyle climbed out and headed up the sidewalk as the girls talked. "I'm kinda nervous, Lace." Madison said to her friend. "Rick is so cute, and everyone says he's a nice guy. But what if he doesn't like me?" "Don't worry, girl. You're here to have fun. If something happens, it happens," the other girl said to reassure her friend before they both got out of the car and headed to the house. Inside, Lacey said she was going to find John, her boyfriend. She was dressed as Juliet, and John was Romeo. Madison nodded and waved her friend off as she looked around the room. There were several people here, but it wasn't as crowded as she thought it would be. "Hey, Madi." A voice said from behind her. She smiled as she turned to see it was Rick, and he was dressed as a vampire. "Hey, Rick." "I was heading over to get a drink, want one?" The girl nodded, "Sure." The two walked off together, towards the kitchen. Rick opened the door and held it as Madison walked into the kitchen. "So, what do you want?" Rick asked as he opened the fridge. He reached for a Pepsi, then looked at the redhead. Madison smiled, glad Rick had taken a soda. She would have felt a little funny if he had something with alcohol and she didn't. "I'll have one of those, too." Rick nodded and grabbed another Pepsi. Handing it to the girl, he leaned on the kitchen island. "I don't drink as much as the people I hang out with. Never really wanted to." The woman nodded, "I'm the same way. Alcohol just doesn't taste good to me." "Nice costume," Rick said as he moved closer to her, he gently tilted her head to the side. "But it looks like someone's already bitten you," he grinned as he glanced down at his soda. "Thanks. Lacey's cousin is a movie make-up artist," the girl blushed under her pale makeup. "The chain guy? Never would have guessed." "Yeah," she replied as she laughed. "I have no idea how he moves as quick as he does with all those chains and straps..." She glanced down at the floor, looking up when Rick took her drink. He put both cans on the island behind him and put his arms around the woman in the black and red dress. She looked into his eyes as she put her arms around his neck. Standing on her toes, she kissed him. He picked her up and sat her on the counter as they continued to kiss. He kissed her neck, opposite the fake bite mark, and gently bit her. She closed her eyes and held tighter onto the man. Did he know what that did to her? She ran her hands under his shirt to feel the skin of his back He ran a hand up her leg, under her dress to find her crotch. When he moved her panties to the side and slid a finger inside her, he felt how wet and hot she was. So he bit down harder on her neck, as hard as he dared without breaking the skin. She moaned softly and dug her nails into his back. Neither of them noticed that someone had come into the kitchen and stood watching them. "Hey, there's a party in here, too," the man hollered into the other room from the doorway. "There are empty rooms upstairs," the man spoke again as he grabbed a beer, "you wanna share?" Rick had turned to face him by now, and clearly didn't like what was said. The woman grabbed his arm as he took a step towards the loudmouth. "Rick," she said softly as he turned back towards her. He placed his hands around her waist and helped her off the counter, then led her out of the room, holding her hand. He walked rather quickly, and Madison almost had to run to keep up, as they cut across the party towards the front door. "Where are you going?" Lacey asked as the two moved past her. Madison shrugged, looking over her shoulder at her friend, but kept moving. They stopped at the door, Rick grabbed his coat and offered it to the girl, who shook her head. He opened the door and took her hand again. He led her to his car and opened the passenger door. The girl hesitated for a moment, then climbed in. "Where are we going?" she asked as he got in and closed the door. "To a friend's house. There wont be any jerks there," he paused to look at her as he started the car. "You don't mind, do you?" She shook her head and he smiled, then looked over his should to back the car out of the drive. The car ride was pretty much silent, until Rick put in a CD. The first song was Love You To Death, a song by Type O Nagative, and one of her favorite songs. When they reached their destination, Rick turned off the car and looked at the redhead. He had a somewhat worried look on his face. Then he opened the glove box and pulled out some wet wipes. "These people don't usually take to new people," he said as he wiped the fake blood from her neck. Once it was gone, the woman looked pretty much like a Goth. Then he wiped the fake blood from his face and took off the cape. He was wearing a dark red button-up shirt and black pants. When he put the wipes back into the glove box, he pulled out a spiked bracelet and collar. He glanced up at the girl as he put them on, then they got out of the car. As they walked up to the door, he looked at her again. "What?" he asked when he noticed her little grin, knocking on the door. "Oh, I just never figured you as goth," she replied to his question. She had only ever seen him at work before, so never really got to see what he was like. She ran her fingertips over the spikes on his wrist as they waited. A pale-skinned woman, who looked about thirty, opened the door slowly. When she saw Rick, she smiled, seeming to ignore Madison. "Hello, Rick," she said as she opened the door wider, so he could enter. As he walked in, the woman put her arm in front of the redhead, blocking her from entering. Her dark eyes looked the girl over and she frowned. "Who is she?" "Let her in, Kai," another voice said from within the house. The woman reluctantly moved out of the way, but glared at Madison as she walked over to a couch and sat beside one of the men. Madison stood behind Rick and nervously looked around the room. There were three people in the room besides her and Rick, two men and the woman who seemed not to like her. She took Rick's hand in hers and gently squeezed. "Introduce your lovely lady, Rick," one of the men said. She could tell by his voice that it was the same one who told the woman to let her in, and she could now see it was the same one the woman sat beside. "This is Madison," he said as he pulled her hand gently, she moved up beside him to be seen and smiled nervously. "A pleasure," the same man said as he stood up. "I am Shade. This is Vincent, and you've already met Kai," he said as he motioned to each of the other two people. Rick led the redhead to a couch and motioned for her to sit. Then he glanced to Shade, who had taken a seat again, and walked off down the hall. Shade got up and followed without a word. Vincent, who hadn't said a word yet, got up and moved to sit on the opposite end of the couch as Madison. The other woman still glared at her. Madison tried to ignore her, but it still made her nervous. "No need to worry, love. Kai wont hurt you," Vincent finally said as he cast a glance at the other woman. When he turned his attention back to Madison, he smiled kindly. She shivered a bit as she noticed his teeth, how the canines were longer and more pointed than she had ever seen. The only thought that came into her mind: Is he a vampire? "Where did Rick go?" she asked softly, looking down the hall he had taken. "He'll be back, love," was the reply she got. Vincent patted the couch beside him, wanting her to sit next to him. After a moment of hesitation, the redhead scooted closer to the man. For some reason, she felt better next to him. Safer. She glanced at Kai, who still glared at her with hate in her eyes. Vincent put an arm around the girl, who leaned against him. She couldn't hear his heart, even though her ear was on his chest. And even through his shirt, she could feel his skin was cool. She wondered if it was just her mind playing tricks with her, or if he might really be a vampire. She thought about this as she waited for Rick to return, but soon fell asleep in the vampire's arms. She woke up to yelling. Rick was standing in front of Vincent, yelling at him. At first it didn't sink in what he was saying, but when Vincent stood up, she realized what was being said. "I'm gone for a little while and you take my girl. Is that how you treat a brother?" Rick asked in a somewhat quieter voice, but he was still angry. "She was nervous with Kai around." replied Vincent, "I offered her comfort." "Yeah, right," Rick spoke sarcastically, "I know what happened." Rick cast a quick glance at Kai then took a step towards Vincent. He looked as though he was about to hit him, but Shade spoke up. "Rick, you'd better leave." Rick looked at Madison and spoke, "Stay if you want," then, as he turned and walked off, he added, "whore." He grabbed his coat and left Madison standing in the middle of the room, surrounded by people she didn't know. Growing angry, she looked at Kai, who stood there leaning against a wall, a smirk on her face. "Lying bitch! What did you tell him?" Madison screamed at the other woman. The sudden outburst from the previously nervous girl must have startled the woman, because her features faltered a bit. She was about to say something when Shade grabbed her arm. He pulled her into the hall and talked to her. Madison couldn't hear what was said, but she didn't care either. She sat on the couch, because she didn't know what else to do. "I'm sorry, love. I didn't think he would react like that." Vincent said as he sat down beside her. "He wasn't my boyfriend," she said softly in reply. "Oh," Vincent said, obviously somewhat surprised by her words. "I liked him, but I didn't know him that well." she said, responding to his surprise. Vincent nodded and put his arm around her. She curled up on the couch beside him, laying her head on his chest. In the silence, she could hear her heart echoing, drowning out her thoughts. She heard footsteps stomp down the hall, followed by another set. Then a door closed. Her head rose from his chest to look down the hall curiously. "They went to bed." Vincent said. He looked at the girl, who was no longer peering down the hall. "It is kinda late. I can get you a ride home tomorrow." Madison nodded. She could get a ride home tomorrow. Besides, she didn't feel like being alone right now. She got up from the couch, then Vincent stood up. "You can take my room. I'll sleep out here." he said as he led her out of the living room. Down the opposite hall as Shade and Kai, he opened the last door. He walked in and turned on a dim light, then walked over to the dresser. He pulled opened a drawer and took out a black button-up shirt, similar to the one he was wearing. When he turned to face the woman, he smiled, handing her the shirt. "Might be more comfortable than your dress," then he headed for the door. Madison touched his arm and he paused in the doorway. He looked at her as she pulled the zipper of her dress down her back slowly. "Stay with me?" she asked softly. He closed the door and moved to her, putting his arms around her waist. He pressed his cold lips to her warm ones and she shuddered in his embrace. She dropped her arms and the dress slid to the floor. The man's cold hands grabbed her waist and lifted her free of the dress, then he carried her to the bed. She sat on the bed and unbuttoned his shirt as they kissed. When he pulled away to remove the shirt, she crawled backwards, further onto the bed. He followed, on his knees. When she stopped, her back on a mound of pillows, she unhooked her bra and removed it, dropping it on the floor beside the bed. Cold hands ran up her bare legs to her knees as he gently spread her legs, then he ran his hands down the inside of her warm thighs. She shivered and leaned forward to place a passionate kiss on his cold lips. He placed his hands on her hips, hooked his fingers under the waist of her panties and began to pull them off. She lifted off the bed to help him along. Once she was completely naked, she put her arms around the shirtless man and pulled him close as she lay back. She kissed him deeply as he undid his pants and removed them. She pressed her warm body against his cold corpse and spread her legs again. When he penetrated her for the first time, she moaned, her body shivering from the cold. As he drove his member into her repeatedly, she dug her nails into his back. He kissed her neck and she tilted her head slightly to the side, offering her neck fully to him. He was tempted to bite her, to taste her, but he held back the urge. "You're so cold," she whispered between moans. "I'm a vampire," he replied as he continued to fuck her. She pulled closer to him and whispered into his ear, "I know." As she lay back onto the bed, she smiled up at him with taunting eyes. "Make me bleed." He shook his head, "I can't." The woman nodded in understanding, then took one of his hands and placed it around her neck. The man got the idea quickly and grinned. He grabbed her neck and choked her, just a little at first. He watched her trusting eyes as he thrust harder and deeper into her, tightening his hold of her neck at the same time. She moaned with what breath she had and he knew she was close. As she began to orgasm, he could feel her body spasm, squirming beneath him. He released her neck, but kept thrusting his penis into her warm, wet body. Even though he wasn't choking her anymore, the woman couldn't catch her breath. She moaned again as pleasure washed over her body a second time. She wrapped her arms around the man's neck and kissed him. When he was about to cum, he started to pull out, but the woman wrapped her legs around him and pulled him back into her. With a few more deep thrusts, he came inside her warm body. As she lay panting and shivering beside him, he pulled the blankets out from under them and covered them both. Then he put his arms around her naked body. He could feel the heat radiating from her like light from the sun. She cuddled closer to him, pressing her body as close to him as she could. She enjoyed the feel of his cold skin against her as much as he enjoyed her warmth. She slowly drifted off to sleep, cradled in the arms of a vampire. From Sinners and Saints The next morning, when she woke up, Madison was alone in the bed. She sat up, covering her bare chest with the blanket, and looked around. Where did Vincent go? She thought as she noticed her dress hanging on the closet door. When she turned her head, her neck hurt and she reached up to feel where Rick had bitten her the night before. Before they left the party. The skin wasn't broken, but there was a large and rather painful bruise. Was Rick a vampire, too? He had called Vincent his brother. She tried to think if there were any clues. His hands were cold on her leg, but he just been hold a cold soda. She really didn't know him that well. "Good morning, love," a voice said, pulling her out of her thoughts. She smiled when she saw it was Vincent. He walked over to the bed and sat beside her, kissing her forehead. He was dressed again, in similar clothing as the night before. When he noticed her hand on her neck, he frowned sightly, pulling her hand away. When he saw the mark, he knew what Rick had planned to do, and what he and Shade had talked about. Rick had wanted to change Madison into a vampire. He had to talk to Shade. He got up, without a word, and left again. "Vincent?" The woman said as he left, but he closed the door without a pause. Was he mad at her? She didn't know. She reached for her under things, trying to keep under the blanket, when the door opened again. She expected Vincent, but instead saw Kai in the doorway, wearing just a shirt, barely covering her. "What do you want?" she said with venom as Kai closed the door behind her. "I wanted to say sorry, about last night, I want you to understand," she said as she picked up the bra and panties. She handed them to the woman under the blankets as she sat down beside her. "You see, we are vampires. Vincent, Shade, all of us." "And Rick?" "Yes, Rick," the woman smiled faintly, "He's a wild one. He doesn't stay with us here. He mostly does his own thing. When he brought you here, I thought you were going to take my place. When I talked to him while you were asleep, I found out you were. You see, he was going to have his own vampire house and he wanted you to be his..." "Oh... So you and Rick?" "Yes." "Shade?" "Shade is my friend... more like a girlfriend than anything. He's the one who turned me... Rick and Vince, too." The redhead smiled and laughed, "I understand now. I probably would have done the same." The dark-haired woman put her hand under the other's chin and tilted her head slightly, looking at the bruise, she questioned, "Rick or Vincent?" Madison replied with a sigh, "Vincent wouldn't." Kai nodded in understanding, "And he probably wont. He doesn't like what he is... As is the case with most young vampires. It's sad really, to see him so depressed." "And how 'well' do you know Vincent?" the redhead asked, with a hopeful tone in her voice. Kai laughed and shook her head, "Not as well as you, apparently. He's like a brother." Madison sighed softly, then lay back in the bed. The dark-haired woman pulled the blankets up and climbed under them, cuddling close to the redhead. "It's been a while sense I've felt warmth," she said softly as she put her arms around the more petite woman's waist. Madison smiled softly as the lady vampire cuddled against her. It's been a while sense she felt a woman against her, but she didn't say anything. She just lay under the blankets with the woman. "I thought I'd find you here," a vaguely familiar voice said. "Come, Shade, join us," the dark haired woman said tauntingly as she looked up from the bed at the figure in the doorway. "Yes, come," the redhead joined in the teasing as Vincent appeared in the opening as well. Both men looked at the cuddling women, then looked at each other. "It's a pretty big bed," Vincent said to Shade as he shrugged. He started to take off his shirt as he crossed the room, then climbed under the blanket beside Madison. Shade remained in the doorway a moment longer, but shrugged at Vincent's words and soon joined them in bed. Madison turned to face Kai, with her back against Vincent. As Vincent put his arms around her, she put a hand on Kai's thigh. Kai nodded her head ever so slightly, it was unlikely either men noticed. The redhead slid her hand up the other woman's thigh to her vagina. At first she just let her hand rest there, warming the cool skin, then she slipped a finger between the folds. Slowly she worked her way around, running a finger up and down between the lips, then rubbing the sensitive nub of the dark-haired woman's clit. When Kai's breathing changed and she closed her eyes, Shade took notice. Under the blankets, he felt around until he came across a dainty hand pleasuring the brunet. An eyebrow rose as he looked over Kai's shoulder at Madison. The redhead froze when she felt the man's hand on hers. She smiled sheepishly, then started to pull away. Shade gently held her hand in place and smiled. Smiling, she relaxed and continued to work on the lady vampire, who by now had gotten the attention of Vincent. "You know, it's not fair that Madison's the only one naked," Vincent said in a sly voice to Shade. The other man got the hint and nodded, then began to unbutton the shirt the vampiress was wearing. After the shirt was removed, Madison looked over her shoulder at Vincent. She smiled softly, then turned back to Kai. She scooted a bit closer to the now naked woman and pressed her warm lips to Kai's. Kai put her arms around Madison and pulled her closer still. When Vincent pressed his body against the redhead's back, she could feel now he was naked as well. When, exactly, he took his pants off, she didn't know. She wondered, just for a second, if Shade was naked as well, but the thought left as soon as Vincent's penis rubbed between her legs in silent question. She mumbled a yes as she continued to kiss and finger Kai. She entwined her legs with the other woman as Vincent pushed into her from behind. She moaned softly as she pulled away from the kiss. Her eyes fluttered shut briefly as Vincent gently pushed deep inside her, but she kept working on the other woman. She was pumping two fingers into her when the woman whispered something into her ear. She put her arm over the other girl's waist then tentatively moved her fingers across the head of Shade's penis. Clearly surprised, Shade looked up at Madison. He knew that Kai had told her to, and so he let the redhead caress his member. When she took the shaft into her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, the man moaned. Smiling, Kai pressed her lips to Madison's. Vincent, knowing what Madison was doing, pulled his penis from her. Before she had time to pull away from Kai, he had his hands on her hips and was pushing his penis into her ass. When she felt the head of Vincent's penis pushing into her ass, she dropped Shade's penis. She gasped as she pushed Kai away. Tears formed in her eyes, but she blinked them away and let Vincent take her. Kai gently caressed the redhead's cheek, then kissed her lips before turning to face Shade, soon after, the two left the room. As Vincent thrust slow and deep into her ass, she breathed heavily. She tried to look over her shoulder at him, but instead buried her face in the pillow. The pair rolled over so that Madison lay flat on her stomach with Vincent on top. He held her hips still as he butt fucked her. She moaned and gasped into the pillow. The mixture of pain and pleasure was so intense, it didn't take long before she came, soaking the insides of her thighs. She clenched her teeth and screamed into the pillow, digging her fingers into the sheets. The muffled scream must have triggered Vincent, because he came just a few moments later. When he rolled off her, he turned her to face him and pulled her close. "I'm sorry," he whispered, "if I hurt you." "You didn't," she replied, "at least not in a bad way." She buried her head into his shoulder as he hugged her close. Even though he had hurt her, she still felt safe with him. Besides, she had always had fantasies of someone taking her like that. "Vince?" the girl said after a moment of silence, "I know it probably sounds funny, but I think I love you." The man smiled as he looked into her eyes, "I love you too, Madison." A few weeks after Halloween, Madison was in her bathroom, getting ready to go out. She was putting on black eyeliner when the phone rang. She recognized the ring tone as Lacey's, so she answered. "Hey, Lace... I'm going to see Vincent... Yeah, you'll meet him eventually... So what's up?.. Really? Congratulations... When did he propose?.. Oh, I have to go, Lace. You'll have to tell me all about it tomorrow at lunch." She hung up the phone and tucked it into her purse, then left her house, the same as she did almost every night, and headed off to see Vincent. It was starting to get dark, but she knew Vincent, Shade and Kai would all be waiting for her. She and Kai had become good friends over the last few weeks, and Shade was like an older brother. And Vincent, of course, was more than her lover, he was her best friend. She hadn't seen Rick since Halloween, and the past few days, she hadn't really thought of him either. So she was surprised to see him leaning against his car outside Vincent's when she pulled into the drive. She watched him cautiously as he watched her. She turned off the ignition and hesitated, then got out of her car and started up the walkway. "And what are you doing here?" he asked as he started to walk towards her. "I could ask you the same thing," she replied as she kept walking up the sidewalk. "Why do you shun me, Madi?" "Go away Rick," she replied as she walked a little faster. "Not until you tell me what I want to know." "I'm here to see Vincent," she snapped as she turned to face him. "So Kai wasn't lying. You were all over Vincent as soon as I left the room." "Kai was jealous," she replied, "besides, you left me here alone." "You didn't have to spend the night with him," he practically yelled. "What did you expect me to do, Rick? Walk home in the dark, in a part of town I've never been to?" she yelled back. As he took another step towards her and she turned to run to the door. "Vincent!" she screamed as Rick grabbed her arm and pulled, causing her to stumble back and fall to the ground, but nobody heard her. When he grabbed her by the back of the neck and forced her to his car, she had to scramble and crawl to keep from being pulled across the ground. After pushing her into the front seat, he got in and sped away. In the house, Vincent was beginning to worry. Kai tried to reassure him by saying she was just running a little late, but Vincent didn't listen. She was supposed to be there an hour ago, and she always called when she was going to be late. He paced up and down the hall. He had this awful feeling something bad was going to happen tonight. When he called her and she didn't answer her cell, he knew something was wrong. He hung up and waited a few minutes before he tried again. Listening to the phone ring, he looked out the window on the door and saw her purse on the side walk. Her phone ringing beside it. "Rick has her," he said out loud to himself as he opened the door and walked out. Vincent knelt down to pick up the things on the walk, holding the keys for a moment before he stood and walked to the girl's car. He was going to get her back. Shade and Kai came out just in time to see Vincent speed off towards Rick's. They looked at each other, and without a word, ran to their own car. Something big was about to happen. At Rick's, Madison was on her knees in his bedroom. She was trying to stay alive, by any means necessary. Even if she had to pretend to be what Rick wanted her to be. Her black eyeliner was smeared and streaked from her tears as she pleaded with him. "Rick, please, calm down. Let's talk." "You could have been mine. You could have help me build a vampire empire," he said angrily as he moved towards her. "Let me try again, baby" she begged, flinching as he wiped the tears from her cheek. His anger faltered slightly when she called him baby, he almost smiled. But he just had to know one thing... "Did you fuck him?" and when she didn't answer, he screamed it again, "Did you fuck him!?" "I'm sorry," she replied softly, averting her gaze to the floor. She prayed that he would believe her. She knew Vincent would come to get her. All she had to do was play along until then. All she had to do was calm him down, make him think she loved him. So when Rick sat on the bed and seemed to be calming down some, she crawled to him. "I'm sorry," she repeated as she held his hand. "You're forgiven," Rick said as he smiled, his demeanor changing visibly. He's insane, she thought as he pulled her up onto his lap and put his arms around her, as if nothing had happened. He kissed her lips gently, then went to bite her neck. "Please don't," she said, trying to stall him. Looking her in the eyes, the man replied, "Don't you want to be mine?" She couldn't think of a way to stall him and didn't reply. So he bit her neck, breaking the skin easily. She closed her eyes tight and tried to wish herself somewhere else, but it didn't work. She could feel the blood leaving her body and started to feel a little dizzy. "Vincent," she said softly, barely enough blood in her veins to keep her awake. Rick jumped to his feet, dropping the nearly unconscious girl on the floor, and spun around to face the door. Vincent looked at Madison on the floor, then at the blood on Rick's lips, clenching his fists. Anger overtook him and he ran at Rick, almost knocking him to the floor as they hit the wall. The two men struggled for just a few moments before Vincent had the other pinned to the wall. Being bigger and stronger than Rick, it didn't take long. "If she dies..." Vincent said angrily between clenched teeth. "The whore's already dead!" Rick shot back as he laughed. Vincent had never wanted to kill anyone before. Even when he fed, he only took as much as he needed and left his victims alive. But when Rick spoke, Vincent wanted him dead. He grabbed Rick's face and forced him to turn his head, then bit the man's neck. He drank down every drop of blood the other vampire had in him. When he released the man, the lifeless body fell to the floor in a heap. He wiped the blood from his mouth as he moved to kneel beside the woman he loved. He went to pick up her body and noticed she was still breathing, but just barely. "You'll have to give her your blood, Vince," Kai said from where she and Shade stood in the doorway. Vincent looked up at them and nodded. He knew it was the only way to save her, and he knew she would want him to. He cradled her in one arm as he bit his other wrist. When the blood started to flow, he put the wound to the redhead's mouth, hoping she was awake enough to drink. She stirred, her eyes fluttered but didn't open. She tried to push the bloody wrist away, but she couldn't manage, she was too weak. When she finally opened her eyes and looked up at him, she smiled feebly. She held his wrist to her lips and drank his blood. He smiled down at her as she released his wrist. He gently wiped the smeared black tears from her cheeks and the blood from her mouth. "I knew you would come for me," she said quietly. Vincent cradled the petite woman in his arms and stood, picking her up effortlessly. As he walked towards the door, Kai and Shade stepped aside, letting him pass. Kai glanced at Rick's body and sighed, shaking her head slightly, then leaned against Shade as they followed after. Outside, Kai opened the back door of Shade's car. "You go with Shade," she offered, "I'll drive the other car home." Vincent nodded and smiled thankfully to Kai, then helped the redhead into the car. He climbed in after and held the girl as she leaned against him. Shade started the car, pulled out of the drive, and headed back to the vampire's house. The End
