Shed doesn't want to be here and she's afraid of what is supposed to happen. Afraid is not a strong enough word to describe how she is feeling, perhaps panic or paralyzing terror is more accurate. She takes a ragged breath as she scans the area around the stone circle hoping to see anyone she might recognize, but all she sees is the faceless monsters only psychopaths could ever dream up. Christina has no clue why she of all people is being thrust into this unbelievable situation but she can pin point the start of what led up to this horrific moment. It all started when she lied, nothing ever good happens when she lies. See, she is not quite twenty-one yet. With her unique fashion sense that usually consisted of mismatched, whimsical clothing that messily draped over her lanky frame and naturally high-pitched voice she could easily pass as an awkward freshman in high school. It should not come as a surprise that she was a wee bit nervous to buy her first fake id. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ "Chrissy come on, you're almost twenty-one. I promise no one will notice." Christina's best friend Lilly said with a hint of annoyance in her voice. Since childhood Lilly had been such a troublemaker she actually thought her name was "No" until she was five years old. Now at the age of twenty-two she was a force of nature. She had become friends with Christina in third grade when Nick Samuelson pulled Lilly's platinum blonde piggy tails. Nick had pulled her hair so hard that Lilly had fallen over and hit her head against the merry-go-round. Christina had marched right up to Nick and poured glue on him and called him a booger head. Ever since that day they had been best friends or partners in crime as their parents liked to say. "I think the id looks great, now quit whining and come on before you make us late. " Rem said anxiously while shoving Christina's purse into her hands. Rem had recently been hired as the new CNA at the nursing home Lilly and Christina work at and all three had instantly clicked. It was easy to get along with Rem's sweet personality but there was just something about her that was a little quirky that had endeared her to Lilly and Christina. The three friends were going to a new club called Undertones which already had rave reviews. As the girls walked up to the door to the club Christina couldn't shake the dread creeping up her spine, leaving the hair on the back her neck on end. She was nervous about the fake id sure, but to her this felt like she was in danger. When she stopped Rem turned around and cocked her head with a look of compassion and curiosity written in her eyes. "What's wrong now?" Rem said as she walked up to Christina's side and sighed when the only response she got was a mere shrug. With an encouraging and reassuring tug on her hand Rem practically dragged a nervous Christina to the bouncer. At the bar Lilly ordered some fruity drinks and started to chat about all the hotties that were at the club that night. When Christina didn't put her two cents in the other two girls glared at her with growing annoyance. She mumbled something incoherent to appease her friends but was trying to hatch a plan to leave early. She was more a home body anyways; she would rather curl up on her overstuffed chair reading a good book then to be crammed in a small club like sardines with strangers. When the drinks finally arrived the small group found a table near the back to occupy. It had the best view of the crowd and assured that Christina wouldn't bolt for the door when the others weren't paying attention. Christina had just begun to relax when a fight broke out in front of her table. Two huge men were rolling around on the floor as a large crowd started to form around them. To Christina it looked like the smaller man was losing, he had blood coming out of his nose with a black eye already forming while the other man looked to be relatively unharmed. Just then the larger man picked up a chair and slammed it over his opponent's head, as it splintered the girls all winced and grabbed their drink just in case. While Christina was getting up Rem nudged her side and pointed to a rather large man making his way through the crowd. This man made everyone in the whole club look like midgets in comparison. Rem had an expression of apprehension and adoration across her face while she literally stared at the man. Christina on the other hand felt like an ant in his presence, he was nearly seven feet tall with muscles on top of his muscles which just emphasized her petite, sleek frame. The mammoth of a man made it to the fighting men just as they both rose to their feet. He stepped in between them intent on breaking up the fight. This only angered the smaller man and he tried to lash out at the intruder and was surprised when he missed. The whole club was shocked when he not only missed but overshot his target and instead landed the blow on Christina's mouth as he toppled over the flimsy table. It only took a few seconds for the man and table to be pulled off but it felt centuries to her. When she was finally in a sitting position with every eye in the club on her she closed her eyes fighting the dizzy feeling threatening to overwhelm her. A pair of plate sized hands steadied her and the man who broke up the fight came into her vision when she opened her eyes. "I'm deeply sorry for what happened. Does your head hurt?" he said with a concerned frown. She actually had to think about that as she lifted her hand to her head, wincing when she touches the goose egg on the back of her head. He easily cradled Christina in his arms while he carried her through the crowd. An electrified sensation coursed through her body as her hand briefly touched his neck. They keep an almost intimate eye contact for a few moments in frozen suspension before he found a path leading to an office. He laid her down as if she would break on a dark brown leather couch making sure not to touch her bare skin again. He found his feet and began to leave but not before he frowned once more at Christina. Just a few moments later a tall exquisite woman with legs up to her neck came in followed by Rem and Lilly. The tall woman introduced herself as Heather and pressed some ice wrapped in a towel to Christina's swollen and bleeding lip. They started to talk at the same time as Christina looked dazedly into space, barely hearing a word of what is said. When it got quiet she realized Lilly just asked her a question. "What?" Christina sheepishly smiles at her friends. This only made all three of the women start talking at the same time at a faster rate. The man who had carried Christina came in looking annoyed. "You're hurting her with your exasperating chatter. Why don't you three go outside and wait for the ambulance, I'll look after her." Lilly looked at Christina's face and actually appeared guilty. Christina couldn't remember a time she had ever seen her best friend look guilty before. Lilly nodded and without saying a word pulled Rem behind her leaving the frowning man alone with a slightly dazed Christina. He slowly stalked to the couch like one might imagine a lion stalking a gazelle. He kneeled beside the couch so that he was eye level with her while he quietly introduced himself, "I am Axel Craigler, I'm the owner of the club and I can't express how sorry I am you got hurt." He lifted his deep mocha eyes to her face with a raised eyebrow when she remained silent with her arms crossed over her chest as if she could ward off all the wickedness of the world. With measured movements he lifted his hand to lower the towel from her injured lip; gently he brushed her lower lip with his thumb sending electricity shooting through both of their bodies again. With surprise he retracted his hand and slowly said, "You've got a pretty nasty split lip and your eyes aren't tracking movement well. We've called an ambulance, they'll be here soon. Do you need anything?"When she just shook her head he stared at her in the hope that she would eventually get the hint to speak. Christina opened her mouth to say she was fine but froze when he lowered his head and leaned closer to her in order to sniff at her neck. She had never been sniffed like that before which caused her to bolt up and started rubbing her neck where he had just been. This offended him and his frown grew into a glare causing inexplicable fear to jolt through her. She found herself running haphazardly through the crowd while being dizzy and unable to see well, but none of that stopped her racing heart or the pounding of her feet against the floor in a dead sprint. She didn't even stop when she made it outside and Rem and Lilly started calling her name, she heard the sirens of the ambulance and the shouting of her friends but the need to flee was too great to ignore. She was utterly out of breath and truly exhausted when she randomly sat down and took the time to look around. She was in someone's front yard in a neighborhood she didn't recognize but she finally felt safe. She flopped back onto the soft grass while panting trying to recover her breath. She covered her eyes with her arm when she heard a door open somewhere behind her. Even with the knowledge that she was not alone she knew she was not in danger but more importantly she felt as if she was being stared at. She let out a startled yelp when she lifted her arm and opened her eyes to see a craggy old face smiling down at her; the face was so close she could see her own startled expression in the eyes of her watcher. "You're late." She had a twisted, confused expression upon her round face so the elderly man proceeded to help her up before he ushered her to the front door of the house right behind them. He tried to ease her confusion, "You must try not to be late in the future." This command was met with soft chuckling, Christina truly thought she was starting to lose what little mind she had but the old man chuckled along with her, only this deepened the confusion for now she wondered what they were laughing at. Inside the little house she sat down on a rickety old chair and looked around the room while the old man poured her a cup of tea. It looked like a library had grown up here and was now uncomfortably living in a space too small; thousands of books lined every surface and every wall the space could afford. When he handed her a cup of tea he introduced himself, "I am Jerry Homefield. I am your guide, welcome to my home." She took a sip of the bitter tea and smiled half-heartedly at him before she opened her mouth to speak he interrupted her, "Yes I know you are Christina. I've been waiting a long time for you." She was truly tired of being interrupted so the fact that he knew her name didn't seem to matter at the moment. "Why does everyone keep interrupting me? I would like to speak." She said with a little flash of anger. Jerry smiled at her patiently, "What would you like to say dear?" She frowned into her teacup and couldn't think of anything to say so she just huffed. This made Jerry chuckle, "Why don't you get some rest and we'll talk in the morning." She shrugged and asked him to call me a cab. This is the first time Jerry frowned, "You just got here. You can't go home." Christina stood up and countered him, "Watch me." He turned on a TV that was hidden in between to stacks of thick books and quickly found the news channel. He turned up the volume so she could hear as she walked towards the front door, "Luckily the resident Christina Henderson was not home. Witnesses say that a group of men broke into the home and left as the house was engulfed in flames..." Christina stood speechless as she watched her home burn to the ground. Chapter 2: Sábháil Tréimhse Christina woke up the next morning with a killer headache and an excessively dry mouth. She stretched her arm out expecting to find her glasses but was stunned to touch a wall; her bed at home is in the middle of the bedroom so where did the wall come from? She opened her eyes in a brief moment of sheer panic of realization, not only was the wall not where it should be, she was not where she should be. It all came back to her forcing her to hold back the tears that threatened to spill from her large hazel eyes she'd been teased about all of her life. With no small effort she rolled out of bed to find her way to the book filled kitchen where Jerry was. "I thought I heard you get up. Let me get you some tea while your breakfast finishes cooking," He said with his head hidden away in the old yellow fridge. Christina has never been a morning person so she merely grunted at him while she took the time to try and calm her frazzled nerves. She could barely keep it together as she remembered how afraid she had been the night before at the club or the gut retching sorrow she felt while watching her home turn to ashes. "You knew my name. How do you know my name and what do I need a guide for? More importantly how did you know my house was on fire?" Jerry chuckled and sat down across from her after putting in some toast in an ancient looking toaster, "Not one to beat around the bush are you? I knew your name because I was born with the sole purpose to aid you. You may not see it but you are special and will need support to complete what you're expected to do. Lastly,I knew your house was on fire because it is foretold." None of what he said made any sense and being far too early in the morning for her, she merely twitched her left eye to show her disapproval of his answer. With much more snap in her voice then what she intended she asked, "What? What help do I need and why am I sitting here listening to the ranting of an obviously crazy old man?" Jerry sniggered under his breath, "Tell me something. Did you feel fear last night for no reason?" When her frown deepened he continued, "And when you ran last night why did you stop in front of my house?" She thought back and answered honestly, "Because I was tired, and I felt safe." "That, my dear, is why you remain sitting here talking to me even though you think I am some crazy old man. " Jerry said with an unconvincing smile and went to the toaster right before it dinged. He made her toast exactly how she liked it, with butter and a light dusting of sugar. As he put a late in front of her he touched her cheek tenderly, "You are so special and I'm very glad to finally meet you." He then leaned forward and kissed her forehead. His simple action brought back a painful memory. Christina was an orphan who had never found an adopted family, she never fit in anywhere. She had lived her life bouncing between families with issues to people that used fostering children to make an easy buck. She almost preferred the overcrowded youth homes, the mere fact that she was not completely alone had often comforted her. Her birth family has been killed in a car accident when she was three years old. The only thing she could remember of them was a lot of trees and a man with the kindest eyes leaning down to kiss her forehead. She didn't realize she had been crying until Jerry's thumb brushed away her tears. "I know you miss your family but to be who you are you had to lose what you had." This annoyed her and she stood up to get away from him. "This is all really too much. I need you to stop being vague and tell me what is going on." He must have heard the frustration in her voice because his face seemed to soften. At the exact moment the door bell rang, she was curious so she followed him to the door and was pleasantly surprised at who stood under the pale light of the rising sun. Lilly and Rem had come to see Christina at Jerry's house. They had been at Undertone's trying to figure out where she had been. Lilly was the first to push past Jerry to bear hug her before she was enveloped in a massive group hug. When she could take no more squishiness she squirmed from the hug and asked what they were doing there. "Your friend Jerry called the club and asked to speak to the friends of the one who ran from the ambulance," Rem quoted accurately. Lilly instantly accused Christina, "We were worried about you. Why did you run away like that?" She looked genuinely hurt. Before she could answer Rem also ranted at her, "You didn't even call to let us know where you were. We've been looking for you everywhere." She emphasized her displeasure with Christina when she punched her shoulder harmlessly. She looked back and forth between her friends, "I'm sorry I worried you. I don't really know why I ran I just had to get away from the club. If it makes you feel better I stayed the night here after Jerry found me on his lawn." Christina's friends didn't look appeased at her answer and started talking at the same time again. Jerry came to her rescue, "The big thing is she is alright and now she needs your help." He herded the girls to the kitchen table before explaining what had happened. "Alright, come with me and I'll show you." He led the girls to a podium with a massive old book on it. It was open to a page with Christina's face drawn on it with these words written under the picture, "Sábháil Tréimhse". She turned to Jerry and asked him what that meant. "That is Gaelic and means time saver. This book was written by druids in the 16th century. Druids back then were some of the few who could read and write and this is a book of dreams. Druids had predictions in their dreams and as you see,Christina was dreamt of by many druids." He flipped the pages carefully to show her face was drawn throughout the book. She blinked at him, "Why am I called Time Saver?" Jerry smiled at her and spoke as if speaking to a child, "There have been time savers since the beginning of time. Their purpose is to keep order and make sure time is never messed with. Every time one dies another is born. You are so special because you will be the last." Lilly cocked her eyebrow at him, "That sounds ominous. Why will she be the last? Will time stop?" Jerry glanced at her and shrugged "I hope not, let me read you the dream." A child born from hatred and love. She will be half beast, half pure magic. The first of her kind without ever knowing. Bound and caged, hidden from darkness. She'll break the binding when home and hearth turn to ash and become three fold of ever there was. First she must meet the boy in disguise who lives with his enemies. He will connect her to where she will need to be. Her guide will lead her from blind to death before she finds the key to the door. Inside the door she will win a fight with a warrior from old. Hate will turn into a red rose before he'll die in her stead. Before she gets her eyes she must be mated with red cheeks before all. Standing naked in the sacred circle she will destroy the ones with no souls when she closes the door forever more. Christina stared at Jerry for a moment before she started to laugh. She didn't find anything particularly funny, she just laughed because there is nothing left to do. The harder she laughed the more concerned her friends became until they realized she was having a mental meltdown. They did what any good friend would have done; they splashed cold water on her face. Rem had calmly got a glass from the sink while Lilly and Jerry tried to calm her down. Rem walked right up to Christina as if to offer her a drink. When Rem threw the chilled water on Christina, she completely paused with cold water dripping off her nose and chin. Everyone in the room held their breath waiting for her response. She took a deep breath and glared at the smilingly Rem. Lilly started to giggle while Jerry got a hand towel with an amused smile. After she dried off Jerry led them to some more books and tried to help her decipher what the dream had meant, "The first couple of lines tell of your family." He told Christina with a knowing sad smile, "The next couple of lines are about you becoming who you were meant to be. I believe your parents wanted you to have a normal life and they made it so you appeared human in every way." He looked at each girl, "The rest of the dream is the details of what you are suppose do to. You have to meet the people who will help you, specifically the people destined to assist you such as: the boy in disguise, your guide, your protector, and finally your mate." She looked no less confused but held a curiosity in her eyes that encouraged Jerry to continue, "The very last part is your destiny. You will close the door to the past and kill the "cinn gan anam" meaning the ones with no souls. You see every person is born with inherent magic. Unfortunately, this inherent magic is incorrectly called instinct. Like when you get the chills right before the phone rings or when you drive slower than normal just to find out you are a minute late to a major accident." "Some people can tap into more fantastical magic. A long time ago someone found out how to travel through time. However like all magic you get what you put in. If you use magic for bad purposes you get bad results and those who use magic to change time lose their souls. Only the ones dedicated to keeping order can travel without giving in to the temptation to change time and thus lose their souls. " Lilly scuffed and asked skeptically, "You want us to believe this fairy tale is true? Come on so her face is drawn in some old books, doesn't make any of this real." She finished her declaration with another scuff before she folded her arms defiantly. "You don't believe in magic do you?" Jerry countered calmly. "It's all make believe or smoke and mirrors." Lilly answered. "What if I can show you magic? Will you believe then?" Jerry said with a sly smile. With a shrug from Lilly Jerry started gathering candles and chalk while talking, "There is so much magic around that most people simply ignore. Though Hollywood got most of it wrong, their stories about werewolves, vampires, ghosts, and witches are based on true beings." As Jerry started to draw symbols on the floor with his chalk Lilly bombarded him with questions, "You are telling me there are people that can change into wolves and that the dead come back as see through ghosts? Oh let's not forget the people from Transylvania that suck your blood and witches can fly on brooms. Can you even hear yourself, man you are sounding crazier by the moment." Rem had been silent since the dream had been read and she actually looked offended at Lilly, "Those are Hollywood's versions of them. When put that way it does sound crazy but you know what they say, movies are a poor imitation of life." Lilly turned her disbelief to Rem, "You can't believe all of this. You hate all the movies about vampires." Rem just shrugged and glared daggers at her shoes while Jerry had just finished drawing a big circle around the symbols on the floor. He calmly started to speak in a weird language as he walked around the chalk drawn circle on the floor. The girls watched on as he did this three times, when he finished the white chalk had started to glow. He had his head bowed as if praying whilst he spoke, "With the veil thinned I ask the mother and the father of the child whose heart is broken to step forward and speak to us." He repeated this a few times before the room got ice cold and the flames of the candles started to grow bigger. In the center of the candles the space seemed to be fizzling and with a loud pop a large brown wolf and a petite woman literally stepped out of thin air. Extraordinary Ch. 03 A special thank you to my editor just_a_bibliomaniac who not only edited but kept me encouraged and excited about writing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 3: Unbound, Uncaged, and Unruly The petite woman and the large brown wolf smiled delightedly at the small group before them. The wolf looked vicious with his mouth full of glistening sharp teeth, paws the size of basketballs, and general body size of a small car. The menacing image was broken when he not only sat down on his haunches with a comical huff but crossed his large hazel eyes. The woman next to him was delicate in comparison, she was eye level with the wolf's head while he was sitting down. She was the embodiment of grace and poise, with a body structure suiting a more mythical creature than any human race. There was, however, a striking similarity between her and Christina as they had the same quirky smile, fair skin, and curly dark brown hair. "Please be welcomed to my modest home. " Jerry said with a humble bow of his head. The pair inside the circle bowed their heads to him in return before turning their attention on Christina. "Christina, you look so beautiful," said the woman without moving her lips. Christina was shocked and could do little more than touch her quickly healing split lip and mumble, "So do you." Next to Christina, Lilly was frantically searching the room for the projector or screen causing the images while repeatedly telling herself, "This can't be real." "Christina, may I introduce you to Henry and Angel, your parents." Jerry said quietly to the silent room. Christina stared at the only thing she remembered from her family, the eyes of the wolf. "Papa." Christina went forward as if to embrace the family she had lost, but Jerry stopped her, "You can't cross the circle, if the circle is broken the spirits will be set free and return to where they came from." Tears of both sorrow and joy streamed down Christina's face, "I never got to know you but I miss you both so much. Do you know what is happening to me?" Henry licked Angel's face causing a brilliant smile to cross her face. She nodded as she hugged him before she waved her hand before her. The air fizzled again and where the couple had been standing a borderless window appeared in their place, within the window images started to flicker. ************ Looking closely Henry and a black wolf are circling each other. Both wolves have their hackles raised while snarling, Henry is twice the size of the black wolf but that doesn't stop him from launching into the air directly at Henry. He easily evades the attack before capturing the neck of the black wolf that anxiously dangles there, trying to get free. After a brief moment Henry bites down on the neck of his opponent and drops the lifeless body. This scene fades to reveal Henry standing on a rock with a sea of wolves below him. He lifts his head to howl and the rest of the wolves echo him. ******************** Rem's body shook as if trying to hold something back. Her skin had begun to ripple with her fists clenched by her side, while her expression was scrunched in silent pain. Her agony went unnoticed to everyone but Jerry who watched Rem with growing admiration. Christina was fairing no better; she had her hands covering her heart like she was trying to ease the emotional pain. Lilly's determination to find the technology responsible for the images was gradually fading and she began watching the scenes pass magically before her eyes. ******************** The view in the middle of the circle flashed brightly before showing a tall handsome man standing with Angel. He just said something to make her laugh while looking pleased with himself. She flipped her hair behind her shoulder before she leaned into him to flirtatiously touch his arm with her palm. He grinned lightheartedly at her before he lifted her hand to his lips.A faint blush spread across her cheeks before he winks at her and kissed her knuckles tenderly. The next scene starts with bright red flashing before it revealed the man and Angel kissing in the back of a car, her shirt was off while he tried unsuccessfully to remove her bra. He was unable to get it off which made her break out in laughter; he stared at her lit up expression helplessly before he regained his mind enough to press his face to the side of her neck. He kissed his way up to her ear and obviously whispered something to her, whatever he said upset her because she tried fiercely to get away from him with tears running down her face. She got out of the car with her palm extended outwardly; a ball of fire erupted over her flesh and seemed to be dancing in her hand without burning her. She then threw the ball of fire at the car to deter him from following her as she tried to run away. The man turned into the wolf, known as Henry, prior to running after her with a snarl on his lips. The following scene starts to sparkle and flash a brilliant white before it was transformed to display Angel and Henry meeting each other in the dead of night. They whispered, "I checked with the oracles, if we are mated they have no say. They can't keep us apart because they hate each other." Henry and Angel appear naked in the following image; the pale moon clearly revealed the pair standing in each others arms. He lowered himself to the ground to shift into his wolf while Angel sifted her fingers through his thick fur. It was apparent that she wasn't afraid of this wolf because, she merely chuckled when the over-sized animal rubbed his sides against her, resulting in her to falling down. This was what the wolf was aiming for because he instantly lowered his muzzle between her legs and judging by her pleased expression and jerking hips she must have liked the attention. Angel's pale skin started to turn a pink shade while the wolf continued his ministrations. Her body arched off the ground as a shock wave radiated from her causing Henry to freeze. When Angel calmed down she realized Henry was just standing there with his tongue sticking out and his muzzle glistening. She giggled to herself as she got on her hands and knees before him while a shock wave came from her again. Henry looked confused for a moment but wasted no time crawling over her, which hid her beneath him. He seemed to be barely moving, but just then the whole picture shifted and the faces of Angel and Henry became the focal point. Her face was bright red while her expression was more erotic, clearly she was about to come. Just as she screamed out her pleasure Henry bit down on her neck. ************* Christina blushed while she ducked her head. She was embarrassed to watch anyone kiss let alone observe her own parents behave so intimately. Rem had not noticed Christina's embarrassment, but had shifted closer trying to catch the scent of her subtle arousal. **************** The air popped and fizzled again before it exposed Angel and Henry smiling down at a screaming new born baby. All around them people glared at the child as if it was an abomination, their expression unseen by the happy new parents. In a blink, the image changed to an angry looking man about to push a large knife through baby Christina's chest while she slept in her crib. Henry saw this just in time and rushed into the room to tackle the man before he could do any harm. The borderless window loudly crackled and shifted to display Angel wrapping a picture of Christina in a red ribbon while chanting. The small wolf puppy playing just behind Angel paused and whimpered before changing into a human version of toddler Christina. "I know you are upset my love, but you are in danger. As long as this picture is wrapped in ribbon, the binding will hold. You will be human in every way my darling. It is the only way to keep you safe." These words only make the toddler wail in protest as she tries to turn back into a wolf with no success. The last scene shows a shoebox on fire with the focus on a ribbon wrapped picture of Christina burning slowly. The fizzling air calmed down and the picture faded away leaving the circle empty. ******************** "They are gone." Jerry murmurs as he starts to pick up the candles and clear the floor. "How did you do that? I don't understand, where those really her parents? This is a sick trick and you should be ashamed." Rem ranted while trying to comfort Christina who had tears streaking down her face and was visibly shaking. "I am a druid and contacting the dead is a gift of mine. So, yes those were really her parents, and I have nothing to be ashamed of. It did, however, explain a lot and only proves she is the next Sábháil Tréimhse." Jerry looked at Christina with a worried expression, "Your parents showed you the first part of the dream. You were born out of the love of your parents but also out of the hatred of their families. Your mother was a witch and your father a were, that union is forbidden even today. The last part showed your mother binding your powers which got released when your house burnt down." "Oh man, oh man. This is serious shit." Rem said as she dragged her hand down her face looking very tired. "How do you know any of this you nut case? Why do you believe every word this man says, this is all, everything that has happened is, oh shut up Rem. This isn't real." Lilly yelled at her new friend unable to finish a coherent sentence. Rem' eyes turned a golden color and her voice deepened in anger, "You're the nutcase. You saw what I saw but yet you deny everything. You are so narrow minded and blind you refuse to acknowledge something as pure as druidic magic. Trust me when I say that everything you saw is real and that magic exists in the world you blindly live in." The anger rolling of Rem was palatable in the room and Lilly actually backed down, "Okay, okay. Maybe I am being narrow-minded; I guess we just need time to digest this. Calm down Rem, you're scaring us." Rem took a deep breath and the anger seemed to dissipate. Everyone seemed to release the breath and tension they were holding in obvious relief. Rem didn't look happy though, in fact, she seemed to retreat completely from all conversation and refused to look at anyone while she stared at her feet. "I think we all need a stiff drink. How about we go back to Underground and get a couple rounds of something strong?" Lilly asked softly. The trio made it to the bar at happy hour; luckily it was fairly empty at this time of day as the girls ordered a few shots of whiskey. Heather had seen them walk in and was instantly at their table asking tons of questions. She was coldly received though and only got vague answers; clearly she was intruding but didn't seem to mind. Heather's face brightened suddenly as she waved to someone in the back of the bar, she called out inviting whoever it was to join them. Axel walked forward and greeted Heather quietly before he sat to Christina's left while he ordered another round of whiskey before turning his attention to Christina. "How are you feeling today? I see the split lip is gone." He said curiously. Christina glanced at Axel but remained silent. She drank her shot of whiskey in one gulp before she answered him, "Well I learned my house was burnt down, that my parents loved me and tried their best to protect me, and oh yeah, I learned I'm special. So I'm just peachy, thanks for asking." "Damn, you had a rough night. If you need a place to stay let me know, I've got a few spare rooms you could stay in." He said while reaching for the large group of empty shot glasses. "Mine." Christina growled lowly. She hugged all the shot glasses to her chest trying to keep the empty drinks near her. The fact that Axel was trying to take what Christina deemed hers made her feel an uncontrollable anger. Her eyes changed to a striking blue shade and a snarl graced her lips. The insatiable need to rip Axle's hand from his body grew stronger until razor sharp claws grew from the ends of her fingertips an instant before she raked them across his forearm. A stunned Axel pulled his arm away while the rest of the group stared at the blood running from the four deep gouges. The sight of blood startled Christina and in peer panic she splayed her hands in the air. An unseen shockwave radiated from her hands as the claws retracted into her fingertips. She turned to Rem and Lilly to ask if they just saw what had happened but they were frozen in time. Christina tried everything to get the people around her to move but everyone was stuck in place as if stone. More afraid than ever Christina ran outside to get some help when she stopped abruptly. Outside cars and the people inside them were unmoving, even a bird in flight remained motionless in mid-air. This only upset Christina more and she would have had another breakdown had she not heard a voice. She called out to whoever it was but got no answer. She listened intently and jumped when she heard the voice again. "Calm down. You must go inside and take a deep breath. Everything will be ok." She had no idea where this was coming from but she felt calmer then and was beyond trying to figure out what had just happened. She went inside as instructed and took a deep breath while standing by the front door. Suddenly everyone in the bar to start to move again to Christina's delight; it was a shock to her friends, however, because to them she had moved from her seat to the door faster than a blink. What happened next was the funniest chain of events Christina had ever seen. Axel was staring at the space Christina was previous occupying and when he realized she had moved without walking he flailed his arms in surprise. This wild flailing knocked a confused Rem to the floor with a loud thump. This event made Christina burst out in a fit of giggles that seemed to ease her stress. Lilly incoherently tried to express her surprise, "You were sitting, but you're there, your hands they, you were all grr, I was all ahh, oh my god, blood." Rem smirked at Lilly's babbling and started to help Axel clean his wounds. Rem's attention wasn't needed because the scratches had already stopped bleeding and looked days old instead of freshly made. She merely lifted her eyes to Axel's with a curious cock of her head. Axel merely grunted at her before he tugged his arm away from her. "Go to Jerry's house, he will help explain what is happening. Everything will be ok." Christina relaxed marginally after hearing that voice again, she looked around for who could have said it but no one was talking to her. She decided it was best to listen to the voice and told her friends it was time to go before walking straight out the door, obviously ready to get some answers. The ride to Jerry's house was a silent one as everyone was lost in their own thoughts. The group made it to Jerry's house without any delay and Lilly, Rem, and Christina quickly found themselves settled comfortably on a couch, quietly watching Jerry as he busily rummaged around in a precariously tilting pile of books. "I didn't think this would happen so soon. We must start your training before you kill someone. You didn't kill anyone did you? " Jerry said with apprehension drawn on his aged face. Just as everyone in the room started to laugh the tilting pile of books decided to fall. Right before they hit the ground Christina splayed her hands in the air again, on instincts, and to her surprise the books never reached the floor. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ "Damn it, where is she now?" In the space between time an angry Shai was pacing. He was trapped in a timeless place awaiting a judgment that would never come. He was the first Sábháil Tréimhse to fail, in essence he had not only refused to stop a soulless one, he had succumbed to temptation. He had gone to his own past to give himself the winning numbers to a lottery drawing, he had won millions. The moment he interfered with his own past he lost his soul and tried to hide it from the council. It worked for a little while but they soon figured out what he had done and tried to entrap him until his trial. Unfortunately, he tried to get out of trouble by killing the one who was charged with dealing with him, he did manage to kill his captor but not before he was put in his own personal hell. No one could find him as the only one who knew where he was, died at his own hands. Shai was forced to remember why the council had decided to put him here. The only way to stop a time saver from simply shifting through time was to trap them inside time itself by attaching them to a loop. In essence, the council was making Shai live in the same day until he died and this particular loop was the worst day of his life, the day his wife had committed suicide to get away from him. She had shot herself in the head in front of him, the pain of the death and the knowledge that he couldn't stop it was painful to remember let alone live repeatedly. Shai had given up trying to change his loop; nothing he did stopped his wife from dying. Every day he woke up and nothing he had done the day before had happened so, he focused on trying to get out of his loop. A few months after he was put in here a soulless one had found him by accident. He told him that the recent timer saver had died and the shift between old and new had screwed up time for a moment. From that moment, Shai had nothing to do but plan his escape; he often lured soulless ones to his prison to tempt them to kill the timer saver so he could shift through the weakened loop. So far his plan had failed miserably but he could feel it in his bones that he would soon be free. All he needed was his idiotic 'friend' to find the powerless time saver. His friend's name was Sabastien before he became a cinn gan anam. He was from the early renaissance era and had been kicked in the head by a horse making him unable to make good decisions along with giving him a stutter. Sabastien had actually found Chrissy but because she was human he was unable to influence her directly. The council had put a spell on all who passed through time. They had made it so if anyone traveled to the past no human could see, hear, or even feel someone from the future. The only way to interact with someone from the past was to fiddle with their environment. Sabastien was supposed to burn down the wench's house while she slept, but he had fucked up and burnt down the building with no one at home. "I don't kn-kn-know where she is but something h-h-has happened. The council is c-c-calling a meeting and everyone is s-s-summoned." Sabastien told Shai through their mental connection. "It should not be this hard to kill a powerless time saver. I suggest you hire someone to track her down before I get angry." Shai responded with anger. Since Shai had nothing to do but wait he went to his trusty whore, in his loop he had found the easiest girl he could find and focused on relieving his stress with her. Part of the reason his wife had tried to leave him was because of his strange tastes, he couldn't help what got him off and his wife should have been more understanding. He sighed to himself, no use thinking about things he couldn't change;instead he focused on getting Shelly drunk enough to want to go to the hotel room with him. After the somewhat chubby blonde could barely sit up straight, he decided it was time to leave the smoke filled bar and head to the seedy hotel. It was always easy to pretend like he actually liked the girl, he would support her as she stumbled her way up the broken stairs and hold her greasy hair back while she prayed to the porcelain gods. Nothing ever changed so tonight he was going to mix it up a bit. He undressed and sat down on the dirty bed with a missing leg and directed Shelly to strip for him. He started belittling her while she fumbled with her dress, "Come on you fat, disgusting whore. Can't you be sexier? I don't know why I waste my time on something as ugly as you. Fuck, hurry up." Extraordinary Ch. 03 His words barely registered on her mind, she was having too hard a time getting the zipper on her cheap black cocktail dress down to be insulted. Shai took out his pocket knife and flipped it open easily before stepping to the drunken woman, he then sliced her dressed off, cutting her skin in the process. This made the girl scream and push him away. This is what he wanted, a little fight to begin the night. He swiped his knife at her saggy tits to cut off the bra and was happy when she squealed in protest. He had left a ragged cut across her nipple and it was dribbling blood down her stomach. "You ass, stop cutting me or I'll call the police. I'm so out of here." Shelly said as she tried to push past him while holding her ruined dress to her chest. He grabbed her arm and punched her in her flabby stomach hard enough to knock the breath from her, as she recovered he threw her on the wobbly bed, forcefully. She was having none of it though and tried to fight back as he straddled her hips, she landed a few blows on him but her efforts merely excited him. He wrapped his hands around her short neck and started to squeeze, the look in her eyes reminded him of his wife's expression when he used to do this to her. The panic made her fight back harder and she tried scratching his face but he just started rubbing his slowly growing cock on her thigh. Right before she would pass out he release her throat enough for her to get a single breath in before he would start all over again. This is what he needed to really get going, he loved watching fear in her eyes as she fought for her life. The second time she was about to pass out he slipped his rigid cock into her tense pussy as he let her breath again. He then start to harshly pump into her dry flesh causing more pain for her, and more pleasure for him, the pain would make her fight harder. The more afraid she was the tighter her inner muscles would convulse around him, he couldn't get enough. He never could get enough; his wife never understood this was what he needed. That nothing else got him hard like watching her struggle for each breath; the control he had over her body and the adrenaline he got always gave him the best orgasm. Eventually, it got to where he couldn't even get hard until she fought him while his hands bruised her neck. As he thrust one last time into her she finally passed out, he filled her raw pussy to the brim before he collapsed on her. He didn't care if he killed her; she would be alive tomorrow and wouldn't remember she shouldn't get drunk with him. He didn't typically go straight to violence, usually he would make her give him a blowjob so he could last longer during the main event, but it had felt good to wrestle. Maybe he would start a fight more often if this was the result.
