I remember when I passed out in school one year and hit my head nice and hard on the tile floor, the school nurse also double checked with me about my name.) ... The next morning, Lisa was taking a shower while her mother and sister yelled at her on speakerphone. She wasn't interested in fighting with either of them, but knew that's what would happen if she said anything. By the time they were done she was sitting on her bed dressed in the new skirt and frilled tank top she had bought yesterday. She picked up her phone and apologized quietly, pretending she had listened to every word. "Well anyways, where did you go? Did a friend come get you or something?" Julia asked. She smiled, so the nurses hadn't told on her, she would have to send them a gift basket with a smile she told them an old friend just couldn't wait to see her and picked her up. She walked downstairs and heard a knock on the front door. She walked over and answered it she smiled at Alex who held up her backpack. She stepped back and waved him in, she hadn't purposely forgotten it in his truck but she was glad that she had. "Lisa are you listening?" "Yes mom, someone was at the door." Alex set her bag down on the counter and she made a motion that asked if he wanted to stay for breakfast. "Who?" Kelly asked. "My friend, what's with all the questions?" "Who is this friend? " her mother asked. Sighing she grabbed what she needed for pancakes then mouthed 'sorry, just a minute' to Alex he only smiled and waved it off. He was just happy he had an excuse to try and get her to spend the whole day with him again. "Just a friend if I told you who it was you would have a hissy fit." "Is it a male friend?" Kelly asked. "Dear don't be ridiculous, she wouldn't have a man over this soon, Victor could wake up any day." She sighed and rubbed a wrapper over the speaker to imitate static. "I'm lo....sing....y...ou....ne...ed new.....ph..o...ne bye!" She hung up and turned to Alex. "Sorry, about that." "It's alright, I shouldn't have come so early." "Yes you should have." She smiled as her grandfather finally made his appearance. "It's fine, since you treated me to breakfast I was going to have to return the favor anyways." "Who said you had to?" "I did, now have a seat I'll get you some coffee." With a smile he saluted her and sat at the table, he scanned her over appreciating her curves once again. "By the by crumb cake, your grandma wants to see you." 'Oh today?' "Whenever, you know she's not picky but she'll want to meet your man here." 'He isn't...' "Not yet, but he will be." She shook her head and finished cooking before sitting next to Alex, unlike Victor who hated everything Alex was already loving her cooking. She blushed after he complimented her. "....Their just pancakes." "And as you know, easy to mess up, I'm not much for cooking but I can make a mean bowl of cereal and my ham sandwiches are out of this world." She burst into giggles he seemed so serious, he just wanted to hear her laugh again it made her eyes light up. "You really are too beautiful, makes me wonder how that guy won your favor." She brushed her hair out of her face and blushed. "Oh he was nice when we dated." "Oh? Well why don't you go on date with me? I'll show you how much better I am." She cocked her head. "Didn't we have a date yesterday?" "Is that what that was? I thought we were celebrating your hospital release." She just shook her head and sipped her coffee. "I'm only teasing, but really is there anything you want to do today?" "Take him to see your grandma, she'll make you see what you're missing." She resisted rolling her eyes. "Well I suppose, but you probably wouldn't be interested." "Well we won't know that until you tell me what you want to do." "My grandmother wants to see me, she's in a home." He smiled. "I can take you." "I don't know, you don't have to.." "It's fine, I don't really care what I'm doing as long as I get to do it with you." Her grandfather repeated his touch down dance, he was old fashioned and angel or no angel Alex's good manners had won him over easily. She gave in and nodded, they finished and cleaned up before she grabbed her purse and they left. ... They walked into her grandmother's retirement home and went to check in, the older man at the counter smiled. "Hey there Lisa, here to see Franny?" "Yep." "Oh is this your new squeeze? Nice to meet you man, I'm Tom and this little lady is just the sweetest thing." They shook hands as Alex introduced himself, Lisa blushed. "Tommy, he's not my boyfriend, he's just a friend." "Could have fooled me, I haven't seen that smile of yours since your grandma recovered from her stroke three years ago." She rolled her eyes and blushed again before tugging Alex away from the desk before Tom could tease her any further. Alex loved knowing how much joy he had managed to bring to her in such a short time. They walked in her grandmother's room who was yelling answers at the television while she watched The Price Is Right. "Hey grandma, knock knock." She turned, and smiled Franny was a plump woman with curly gray hair that was dyed pink. She often said she would go any color but gray, Lisa walked over to hug her. "Hello Blue Jay it's so nice to see you." She smiled, she could remember when her grandparents would 'fight' over her nickname, 'Franny I love you but you have to understand she is granddad's crumb cake. Owen you're the grandfather you don't have the right to name the first born grandbaby, she is gramma's little Blue Jay so there.' "It's nice to see you too." She looked over her shoulder and beamed. "Oh my heavens, aren't you going to introduce your pretty new friend?" Lisa giggled and stepped out of the way. "Grandma this is Alexandrios, Alex this is Grandma Fran." She got up to give him a hug, it was funny scene because of how much shorter she was than him. "So nice to meet you." "It's nice to meet you too ma'am." "Oh and he has such good manners, just call me Franny, everyone else does and Blue Jay shame on you shortening his name it's so beautiful." Lisa laughed. "Yes it is, but he's the one who told me to shorten it." He blushed hearing her thoughts on his name, her approval over everything meant the world to him. Her grandmother laughed. "Now sonny don't let her call you Alex, you're parents gave you such a nice name you should use the whole thing." "Yes of course Franny." She smiled and moved to sit down. "Well come sit sit, let's have some conversation, oh Lisa the staff let me use the oven to make you're favorite cookies sweetheart." Lisa looked around and found the box her grandmother nodded toward she opened it and offered one to Alex. "Soft baked, chocolate chip cinnamon roll cookies." He smiled softly watching the happiness bouncing in her eyes. .... They remained with her grandmother for a few hours before Lisa helped her get in bed to take a nap. Her grandfather told her he was going to stay there, she smiled at him before leaving with Alex to sign out with Tom. Alex caught himself staring at her legs when they got in the car, he was glad he had been born in his station because he was use to desire and couldn't imagine not having them with women like Lisa around. "Thanks for bringing me, it meant a lot to visit with her for so long." "You're welcome, she's a very nice woman." "Yes, she always has been." "Oh Lisa, before I forget did you need a ride to work tomorrow?...You do work tomorrow right?" "Yes, but I can take the bus." "It's no trouble..." "No it's OK, I'll be fine on the bus." He knew she would get assaulted tomorrow if he couldn't convince her. "I'd feel better if I took you, I have nothing to do until later in the day anyways." "Why do you want to take me so bad?" "Because I care." "Even though you've only known me a short time?" She was really just picking on him, he glanced over. "One doesn't measure emotions with time." She blushed and sighed. "I guess....if it isn't too much." He smiled. "It isn't, what time should I pick you up?" "Seven, so I can get there before eight and check in with my boss and find out what I missed." He nodded. .. They went right back to her house and she invited him to stay for dinner, they had had Chinese the other night so she made burgers. Before Alex left he walked up behind her and placed his hands on her waist. She turned and he pressed his lips against hers, no matter how cliché it may sound passionate wasn't strong enough to describe the kiss that left her weak in the knees. He said good night and left her leaning against the counter. ... When Alex returned to his home the lavishly decorated two story house seemed a lot less appealing without Lisa around. His living room was in black and white, a switch on the wall would replace the fireplace with a flat screen television. Through the glass doors on the right you could see the large patio space that held a private pool and hot tub. To the left was his chrome and granite kitchen, truthfully his time alone had given him a chance to cook decently but he didn't quite cook like Lisa did. Down the hall was a coat closet and his study, upstairs were four bedrooms. The first bedroom was for guests with a blue and green scheme, the second was the master bedroom which was also decorated in white and black. The third was his art room, and the fourth was plain creme mostly because he wanted to be prepared for future children. Each room had it's own full bathroom colored to match the room it was attached to. He had one extra half bathroom in his study. He sat on the couch and watched the cushion next to him sag slightly, he smiled. "Hello mother." There was a small flash of light and a beautiful green eyed red head, dressed in a silky white gown with matching boots appeared next to him. She stood up and stretched her large white wings that held a light pink tint on the tips, before sitting back down. "Hello my dear, how have you been?" "Just fine, what about you, father and my siblings?" "Everyone is just peachy, let's get right to the point of my visit, tell me who she is." He crossed his arms but held a playful smirk on his face. "Mother I have no idea who you could be talking about." She slapped his arm gently. "Tell me or I'll go looking for her just like I did with Xavieros's girl friend." He shook his head with a laugh, she would track down Lisa and probably harass her with talks of their future. "Her name is Lisa." "Oh? And what is she like?" "Amazing." She smiled seeing the gleam in his eyes. "Well where is she?" "At home." "Why didn't you invite her over?" "She has work tomorrow." "She could sleep here." "No, I'm taking it slow." His voice faltered on that sentence as he thought about their time in the movie theatre. "Hmp, you're no fun....unless she has someone else?" "An abusive husband in a coma, I met her in the hospital." "Abusive? Tsk tsk tsk when will these humans learn to take care of their lovers, what put them in the hospital?" "Car accident." "Well serves him right, so does she have children?" "She's a virgin." She squealed. "Oh I like where this is going, you'll keep me posted won't you?" "Of course." "Do you have a picture I can show to your father?" He nodded and handed her his phone, he had gotten a picture of Lisa when she zoned out on their first date. "Oh isn't she just the cutest little thing, you'll make beautiful grandchildren for your father and I, I have to go I have plans to harass your older brother." She kissed his cheek and faded from the room, a few minutes later his phone reappeared on the couch he slipped it in his pocket and went to get ready for bed. Thoughts of Lisa flooding his mind with every step. ... The next morning Lisa was running late and was wearing a brown pencil skirt and ruffled button up. Getting dressed in the morning was so much more fun without those scratchy pant suits. She looked out the window and saw Alex pull in the driveway he could see her and waved a take out bag at her. She smiled and waved, she hurried to put on her lip gloss and thought about his good night kiss. She shook her head, she could save her perverted thoughts for after work, she certainly didn't have time to play with herself now. She grabbed her things and hoped he wouldn't notice she was a little turned on. Of course he did, but she didn't have to know that. She thanked him for bringing her and kissed his cheek when she got out he touched his cheek then smiled and drove off. .... Her boss had been happy to have her back but assured her that the temp had done a good job. Though she was only a receptionist, she also handled secretarial work and work passed quickly with everything she had to do. At the end of the day when she walked out counting her bus fare she watched a man drive up in a cherry red convertible. He got out and smiled at her, he looked like the average cheesy but professional car salesmen and he even had a comb over. "Are you Lisa Anderson?" "Yes." "Nice to meet you, I'm Jason, and this is your new car." Her eyes widened. "What? Did I win a contest or something...?" "No." he said with a laugh. She stared at him. "This is from Dr. Carmen, he called me earlier and told me that he had to go into work early and even though he couldn't come get you he still didn't want you take the bus." Her mouth fell open as he pulled out the papers for her to sign, in a daze she signed that she received the car and paperwork. He handed her the keys and told her to have a good day before a second car pulled up and he got in. He waved as his driver pulled away and drove off. She stared at the car then looked over the paperwork, it had been paid for in full, she would only have to pay for gas. She swallowed and got in the driver's seat, she had a license but hadn't owned her own car since Victor made her sell her little jeep. "Oh nice ride!" She looked up at her child hood friend and colleague, Jenna, she was a curvy brunette with two kids and husband who was a Realtor; the perfect family in a way. "Uh yeah..." "You went and bought this and had it delivered?" "No...my friend bought it for me....he was worried about me taking the bus." She grinned, Lisa told her to get in since she had taken the bus that morning, they headed for her friend's house. "A male friend bought this for you so you wouldn't be on the bus? Sounds like he's smitten with you." "Well...It doesn't matter because I'm returning it." She looked over the paperwork. "But the car is paid in full and your signature is on everything, he was just trying to be nice." "But this is too much nice..." "You only think that because Victor doesn't have a nice bone in his body, he is so fake he makes those bobble headed bimbos at the country club seem genuine." Lisa giggled slightly after she dropped her friend off she headed down the street towards the hospital to see if she could reach Alex. ... He was standing by the front desk looking over some paperwork when she walked in, she walked over and tapped his shoulder. "Yes?" "A convertible?" He turned and smiled at her. "Yes, I thought you would like it, since it's Summer and all." "Alex you didn't need to buy me a car I would have been fine on the bus." He shook his head. "You know you really shouldn't mumble when you speak to me I have weak hearing." She rolled her eyes but smiled. "Thank you for being so considerate..." He dipped his head down to capture her lips with his own, ignoring the nurse's gasp behind him, he pulled back and she blushed. "You're welcome, see you this weekend OK?" "....O..OK.." she stuttered. She turned and walked out, the woman tapped his shoulder. "Doctor, doesn't she have a husband?" "She has amnesia." he lied. "Oh poor thing...but Dr. Carmen you shouldn't be taking advantage of her." "I'm not I'm just giving her better memories than what she had with that abusive scum taking up a bed here." She frowned, her first husband had been abusive so she could sympathize with Lisa and it was more understanding to see Alex trying to win her over; she didn't have to know it was a lie. "And what if she doesn't remember you when she get's her memory back?" "'If' being the key word Jane." ... Later that night Lisa was washing dishes and her grandfather was in the garage fawning over the car. She was about to sit on the couch when she heard her mother's familiar knock on the front door, she always knocked three times then waited before repeating herself. She walked over to open the door and smiled at Julia who kissed her cheek and walked in. Behind her came Dennis she hugged him then walked into the kitchen to get drinks. They all sat in the living room. "How are you doing sweetheart?" Dennis asked. "Good." "Better than your sister I hope." Lisa cocked her head. "What's wrong with Kelly?" "It's not Kelly it's her lowlife husband." Julia spat. "What did he do?" "She caught him in bed with that woman from the post office." "Becky?" "No, Maria, the one that was always so sweet to him." Dennis clarified. "Oh who cares which one it was, that cheat hurt your sister." "When did this happen?" "This morning, she spent the night with Mike but realized she forgot his backpack and went home to get it, and there he was with that tramp all over him." Lisa shook her head. "Oh poor Kelly." "Indeed poor Kelly that's why she will be coming here and we'll keep Mike so he doesn't see his mother so upset." Julia said Lisa frowned. "Wait what?" "Kelly will be staying here for a couple of weeks." "No one asked me about that." "Does it matter? Would you really turn your poor little sister away?" Julia said. Julia had always been kind to Lisa since they first met when Lisa was four, but like most mothers it was different with your own child; she coddled Kelly constantly. In fact that was probably why Lisa ended up spending so much time with her grandparents and was now their unspoken favorite. "No of course not." Just then she saw the headlights that told her Kelly was here, Julia got up and went outside to gather her sleeping grandchild and put him in her car. Kelly walked in and set her bags on the living room floor. Lisa gave her a hug and her father put her things in the guest bedroom. After their parents left Kelly came down and wiped her eyes. "Lisa do you have any ice cream?" "Uh yeah, chocolate." "Oh that won't do, I need strawberry, come with me to the store." Lisa sighed, she loved her sister but honestly she was a brat when she was a kid and was still a brat now. "It's kind of late." "Oh right like it's going to take that long, do you have to be so selfish?" Lisa sighed again rubbing her temples then put on the same act she did with Victor. "I wasn't being selfish, I just meant you look tired, I can go for you while you relax." Kelly's annoyed expression faded. "How thoughtful." "I need to get my purse, why don't you write down anything else you need real quick and I'll go get it." "What, are you going to walk to the store?" "I have a car." ".....You bought your own car finally?" Lisa shook her head. "Did grandma get it for you then?" "Uh no.." She walked upstairs, Kelly followed. "So how did you get it?" "I uh, won a radio contest." Angel of Mine Ch. 02 "Oh that's nice, what type of car did you win?" "A red convertible." "Let me see it." Lisa walked downstairs and went into the garage to show her. "Oh it's gorgeous, now I know I'm coming with you." Lisa rolled her eyes and got in the driver's seat and waited for her sister to get in before she opened the garage and headed for the closest grocery store. .... Kelly walked a head of Lisa throwing random crap in the basket, and Lisa just knew she would end up paying for everything. Of course she could afford it but still wondered if Kelly really needed all of it. "Oh Lisa, Kelly." They turned and Lisa smiled seeing Alex Kelly stepped in front of her. "Oh Dr. Carmen it's nice to see you again." "And it's nice to see you Kelly how are you both?" "Just fine." Kelly said. Lisa rolled her eyes then cocked her head. "Dr. Carmen do you live close to this area?" "Yes a little further up the street in that under developed area." "Oh that area that those nice custom houses are usually put up in?" Kelly asked. "Yep right there." "I would looove to see it, I'll be staying with Lisa for the month." Lisa frowned. "Does she always make decisions for you?" her grandfather asked. She wasn't sure when he appeared but absently nodded. "Oh? Well you should come by, I have a pool." He was trying to be polite but his gaze was stuck on Lisa. "Oh how about this weekend? Lisa you're off aren't you?" Kelly said. "Yes of course." "Great I'll see you then." He handed Lisa a slip of paper with his address on it then waved and walked away, he would prefer to only have Lisa come over for her first visit but he had a feeling he would have to deal with her sister multiple times. "Now you're staying the rest of the month?" "Well yes, since I get to see that hottie doctor, do you have a reason I can't stay?" 'Other than wanting to be alone with Alex? No I guess not'. She thought. "Not at all." she told Kelly. Her grandfather chuckled before fading out of view, they finished shopping and went to the register to pay. ... When they got back Kelly got Lisa to make dinner for her, Lisa loved cooking so didn't really mind as long as Kelly didn't bug her while she did it. She looked up as her phone buzzed, she picked it up and glanced at the screen then smiled and answered. "Hi Alexandrios." He smiled, he did like how his name sounded coming from her. "Hey, you didn't seem too enthusiastic about your sister's stay." She looked around the corner and made sure Kelly was occupied. "That's because I'm not, she was only suppose to stay for two weeks and even that was decided without my consent." "Oh I'm sorry, I shouldn't have approached you.." "Oh it's not your fault." "Still....well I look forward to seeing you anyways." She smiled again, it was nice but felt odd to have things to smile about. "Yeah you too." "Hey Lisa is dinner ready?" She sighed hearing her sister. "Yeah come on down." She said good bye and hung up before Kelly could see she had Alex's number and asked her for it. ... That weekend Kelly and Lisa made their way to Alex's house, they saw a black Mustang, a green jeep, and a simple blue four door next to his truck. "Oh is this a party?" "I guess." "Shoot, I should have brought a nicer bathing suit." Lisa shook her head and they got out and walked to the front door, she had pulled cut off shorts over her pink bikini bottoms. She made sure the door was locked before she rung the door bell and smiled seeing his mother. She squealed and hugged Lisa. "Oh hi sweetie pie, it's nice to meet you, I'm Charmaina Alex's mother." Kelly's eyes widened. "His step-mother?" "Oh no, how sweet, I'm his birth mother, and you must be Lisa's sister Kelly, nice to meet you too come on in." Lisa blinked as Charmaina pulled her in, inside there was a man who looked like an older version of Alex, except he had a neat mustache and his hair was shorter. "Oh Lisa it's nice to meet you." He also pulled her into a hug. "I'm Valerin, Alex's father." He pointed toward a very pretty and very pregnant green eyed blond woman next to an equally handsome tanned man with long brown hair. "That's my daughter Genevieve, we call her Genie for short and her husband Bryan." Then he motioned toward a man who also looked like Alex but his hair was red and it appeared as though he was taller, next to another model like woman with hazel eyes and bright purple dyed hair. "And that's my eldest son Xavieros and his wife Victoria." She smiled and nervously introduced herself and her sister to everyone she wished her grandfather was there. She looked up as Alex finally came down, she almost swooned he was wearing black swim trunks and every muscle flexed as he moved toward her. "Hey you two I'm glad you could make it." "So are we." Kelly said. Lisa rolled her eyes, Genie and Victoria grabbed Lisa and pulled her outside where Bryan had started grilling burgers and salmon. "Oh it's so nice to meet you, little Lex has been alone for so long we were starting to get worried about him." Genie said. "Little? Is he the baby of the family?" "Yeah huh." "Has he told you our little family secret yet?" Victoria asked. Genie nudged her and Lisa smiled. "No but I know what it is." "Does she know?" Genie asked and nodded toward Kelly. "No she doesn't I didn't think I should be telling anyone." Genie smiled but Victoria seemed confused. "You're probably wondering how I know without Alex knowing that I do." "Yes just a bit." Victoria said. "I found out when my grandfather died, his ghost told me." They made an 'ohhh' sounds as it clicked into place. "Well in that case we won't tell him you know anything, and you can do it when the time is right." She smiled and nodded. "Everyone ready to eat?" Bryan called. They turned and walked over to him. ... A couple of hours later, they were playing in the pool Alex pretended that he wasn't ogling Lisa's body but he wasn't doing a very good job. "Oh Alex." He tore his gaze from his mate and looked at her sister. "Yes Kelly?" "I was just thinking, we should go catch a movie some time." He frowned. 'Is she really hitting on you?' his older brother asked mentally. 'I think so.' "Oh you, your sister and I?" "No just me and you, like a date." "Uh, don't you have a husband?" "I'm divorcing that cheating bastard, but its nice of you to think of that, you must be so caring." He cringed slightly as she purred, he wanted Lisa and no one else. "I don't think that would be such a good idea." "Why am I not slim enough for you? You're a doctor you can just give me liposuction until I'm the size you want." "Uh no, I just....um." 'Z, help me out here.' His brother smiled slightly. "Oh he's pretty busy he barely has time for us and we're his loving family." Alex rolled his eyes, Kelly didn't seem all that concerned. "Oh we can just do it whenever you're free, give me your number I'll call you and we can make plans. I have this month off for vacation....oh you know what, I'll just stop by the hospital." "Uh no, I have lots of work and....oh are you calling me Lisa?" He moved away from the table and jumped in the water, Lisa screamed in surprise he held her around the waist under the surface of the water. "Oh...you scared me, what's the matter?" "Your sister is relentless, help." She frowned. "Is she trying to get you to go out with her?" "Yes she is, she even said she would come to the hospital." Lisa laughed. "It's not funny..." "But you are single." "Lisa I'm not the kind of man to fool around, if I wanted her I never would have wasted your time." She blushed but smiled understanding why he was uncomfortable. "Don't worry I'll talk to her." "Hey bro." He glanced at Victoria who grinned. "Got wood?" He cocked his head then let go of Lisa and slid under water in embarrassment Victoria burst into giggles and Lisa couldn't help but join in. She was sure Alex was giving her a dirty look under the water. That made her laugh harder. Angel of Mine Ch. 03 (The grandfather isn't thinking, he is speaking only the miracle baby can hear him until Alex gets closer to Lisa. Lisa can use her thoughts to reach him in a crowded room but normally he is a speaking character, I'll mark him differently though. Glad so many people enjoyed the second chapter. Sorry about the wait I had writer's block, so I hope this chapter will be OK the next one should be better.) ..... Before the party ended Lisa ended up with the numbers of Alex's family, she was dreading her talk with Kelly but figured she might as well get it over with. She waved as they pulled out of the drive way then went back down the street to go home. "Hey Kel." she said "What?" "Could you not hit on Alex?" "Why not?" "You made him uncomfortable." "Oh please, he wasn't uncomfortable jeeze after being married for all this time you've forgotten how to read single men. I'll explain, he was simply playing hard to get and I just love to have a man to chase. In no time at all he will fall prey to my perfect charms and you'll have a new brother and I'll have a father for my little man." "Marriage? You don't even know him, what if he doesn't want kids?" "Well he'll get over it for me, Mike's already here after all, and his younger sister is on the way we don't have to have anymore after her." "Wait you're pregnant?" "Well of course, can't you tell I have a bump on normally perfect stomach?" she asked. Lisa didn't say anything at first, her sister had always been heavier than her and now she was getting close to four hundred pounds she just smiled. "I uh...could barely notice." Kelly fluffed her hair. "Naturally." "When are you due?" "Four months, I think it'll take two of them to get him in my bed and one of them to get a ring, after that we'll have a week to put together the wedding and after the baby is born we'll go on our honeymoon." Lisa just shook her head. "I see." "Why did you even ask me not to hit on him?" Kelly asked. "He asked me to talk to you about it." Kelly frowned. "I see what this is, you're just jealous that I'm better looking than your skinny ass and you want him, well you can't have him. You're married in case you forgot, and to a good man at that." Lisa frowned. "That has nothing to do with this, you're just not his type....and do you hear yourself talking? Do you know how crazy you sound? He's not going to marry someone he hasn't spent time with." She scoffed. "Oh please, his family is loaded with women who have had plastic surgery, I can easily become his type not that I have to try that hard. You should stop being jealous, we're perfect together didn't you hear his mother say so?" Lisa knew Charmaina said no such thing and rolled her eyes. "And for the record, they haven't had plastic surgery." "You expect me to believe they look like that naturally? Don't be stupid, do you know how long it took me to get this body? Now stop being a slut." Lisa glared at her. "When was I a slut? Give me one example." "Oh let's see, how about when you were feeling him up in the pool? You should be ashamed of yourself." "Don't start with me." she mumbled. "Whatever Lisa, whore around if you want, but Alex is mine." They pulled in the garage and Kelly slammed the car door and went inside, Lisa sighed and walked in after her this was going to be a long month. .... The next afternoon Lisa was on the phone with Julia there was no way she could let her sister stay in her house much longer. She didn't have time for other people's kids and just knew she would end up caring for the new baby, no that wasn't going to work at all. It was about time her 'precious' little sister learned some responsibility. Kelly barely cared for the first child she had. "Hello?" Julia said. "Mom, I can't let Kelly stay here, I don't have time for a baby." "Oh Lisa don't be so mean." "I'm not being mean." "Well you're calling your sister names." "No I'm not, she's pregnant, and she said she's due in four months, I will not care for her new baby again." Lisa said. "She's pregnant? I didn't know, put her on the phone." Lisa sighed and yelled for Kelly to pick up the phone, she sighed again as she listened to Julia congratulating Kelly who was working her fake tears on the other end. "Mother aren't you forgetting something?" Lisa asked. "Oh right, Kelly why don't you come stay with us? Our house is already equipped for babies." "Did Lisa put you up to this?" Kelly snapped. "Put me up to what? I just want to be there for you." "But mommy she's just trying to keep me away from Alex." Kelly whined. "Who is Alex?" Julia asked. "He's my new boyfriend, we're taking things slow." Kelly said. Lisa rolled her eyes. "Alex is not your boyfriend, mom they just met...." "Just met?" Julia repeated. "Yes." "And you already got him to be yours? That's my girl, work your charms." Julia said with a laugh. "No no no." Lisa interrupted. "See how jealous she is?" Kelly said. "How can she be jealous? You're going through a tough time and need some support, she's already married and is fine the way she is. I know your father and I didn't raise her to be that way." Lisa sighed. "It's not jealousy." "Oh ow ow ow she's stressing out the baby! Mommy help!" Kelly said. Lisa turned and saw Kelly leaning against the banister with a large smile on her face as she put on her little act for their mother. Julia yelled at Lisa for an hour and that resulted in Julia bringing Mike over so they could stay as well. Julia insisted that Mike could soften up Lisa who didn't understand what it was like to be an expectant mother. Mike is another six year old who is stuck in his "terrible twos". .... About two weeks later on a Friday, Lisa was in bed covering her ears with her pillow to the best of her abilities. Mike was throwing a tantrum, Kelly was watching some crappy soap opera and Julia was on the phone gossiping about crap that didn't matter. Lisa glanced at the clock it was almost midnight. She hadn't slept much, she looked up as the door was opened. Julia set Mike on the bed. "Do something about him, he's giving your sister a headache." "So you do something, I'm trying to sleep." she said. "Are you still not intune with your emotions? there is an innocent child on your bed..." "That, may I remind you, has a mother and she needs to take care of him or the state will take him away and find someone who will." Lisa said. "Don't even joke." Julia snapped. "It's not a joke, it's very serious." "Take care of your nephew. Now!" Lisa swore and Julia slapped her. "There is a child present." "And now he knows a new word, get out of my room!" Julia picked up Mike and walked to the door. "Fine have your tantrum, when you calm down I'll bring him back in here." Lisa groaned, they left and she saw her grandfather appear by the dresser. "Hi grandpa...." -Hey crumb cake, why don't you sneak out of here and get a hotel room so you can sleep?- he said softly. "I'm fine, just annoyed." -Well add what you're feeling to sleep deprivation and it'll only get worse.- he said with a smile. She smiled at him. "Where have you been all week?" -With grandma, she's not feeling so well.- he said. "Oh no, I should make her something and go see her." He touched her shoulder after seeing she was about to get out of bed. -It's midnight crumb cake.- "...Right, I knew that." He smiled. -Have you been spending time with your fella at least?- he asked. "No way, oh grandpa you should have heard Kelly, she calls him her boyfriend and is planning a wedding weeks from now." He raised an eyebrow. -Why would he want a group of watermelons when he has a cute little squash to care for?- he laughed. She giggled. -I'll be back.- he added. He faded, she locked her bedroom door and put in her ear buds she would let the music drown out the noise she was hearing. ..... Alex had thrown himself into his work, he was already filling out paperwork for patients that weren't even cleared for release yet. He was worried about Lisa but she had sent him a text and warned him to stay away from her house. She didn't explain why and he kept glancing at his phone hoping she would text him and tell him he could come over. He swore to himself he would go check on her after three more days of this, he could go now but didn't think Lisa would tell him to stay away for no reason. He looked up when Owen sat across from him in one of the cushioned chairs he had for small meetings. Owen stared at him for some time before taking his head and pulling it off, Alex continued staring at him while his pen fell to the desk. Owen chuckled and put his head back in place. -The best part about being a ghost is that you become one of the best when creating illusions.-he said. "....Should I know you?" Alex asked. Even angels grew concerned over the appearance of a ghost, they were the only thing that could sneak up on them. -Well sure, you are after my grandbaby.- he replied. "Oh right you're....Lisa's grandfather." -Look at you, guessing without hints.- he grinned. "Is something wrong? Is Lisa in danger?" Alex asked. -No, I just figured you were wondering why she hasn't tried to contact you much.- he said. "Oh?" Owen explained the situation and Alex shuddered. "I don't think...'deluded' fits your other granddaughter....the only woman I'm interested in is Lisa." -We know.- he said. Alex frowned. "We? As in..you told Lisa about me? Everything?" -Of course I did.- he replied. Alex was quiet for a moment. -Anyways, I'll be going now, it should only be a little while longer before you see her again.- he added. "Wait a minute...why didn't she tell me she knew everything?" -Has it ever come up in a conversation?- he asked. "Well no..." -There's your answer, got to go!- he said cheerfully. He faded before Alex could say anything more, Alex began to watch the phone even more closely. .... The next morning Lisa got up early and slipped downstairs with her things, then she got a bag to gather ingredients and left. She went to Jenna's house, Jenna was already awake and her four year old daughter Madeline, and her six year old son Greg were watching cartoons. Jenna answered the door and stepped aside so Lisa could borrow her kitchen she poured coffee and listened to what Lisa had to say. "So now you're stuck playing hostess until the baby is born?" she finally asked. "Not if I hide out by the border I'm not." Lisa said. Jenna smiled and patted her shoulder. "Sweetie you look exhausted, aren't either of them helping out at all?" "Of course not, Kelly is too "fragile" and mom has "more important" things to attend to." Jenna shook her head, Madeline came in with her mouth covered in grape jam, her blond curls bounced with every step. "Hey auntie, look I'm all sticky." Jenna sighed and got up to get a wet rag, Lisa smiled. "Oh yeah? Did you get in a fight with your toast?" "Yeah, he was mean to my milk so I ate him and he shut up." she replied. Lisa giggled and Jenna bent next to her daughter to clean her up. "Oh and Jenni thanks for letting me use your kitchen." "Oh please, you watch my kids and only ask for that in return, enjoy yourself." She said. She peeked around the corner at Greg who had lost interest in the television and was quietly playing with his toy trucks. Lisa shook her head. "Why can't Mike be like that?" Jenna dropped the rag in the sink and her daughter rejoined Greg in the living room. "Your sister probably doesn't spend enough time with him, kids normally act out when they want their parents to pay attention to them." Lisa glanced at her. "Is it really that simple?" "Normally, too many parents turn to drugs and punishment before really thinking about it......Madeline if you're done eating you can put on your fairy princess costume." She squealed and bounced up the stairs. "And sometimes you have to teach your kids to compromise at an early age." she added. Lisa smiled. .... After signing in with the morning guard, Diana, Lisa went to see her grandmother who was laying in bed. She set down the container of soup and sat in the chair next to her bed, her grandmother looked frail. Lisa would be sad to see her go but would be happy to see her grandparents together again. "Blue Jay is that you?" she said softly "Hi grandma." Franny opened her eyes and smiled at her softly. "Hey there, I'm so glad you came to see me." "Of course, I always love visiting." "Except when that mean controlling grouch is around, I hope he never wakes up." "Grandma Fran, that's not very nice." Franny shrugged. "I don't know what you're talking about, who are you?" she jokingly said. Lisa giggled. "Grandma stop that...that's not funny." she said. Franny laughed. "Sure it isn't, yet you laughed anyways how odd." "I only laughed cause it's silly, you could never forget me." Franny smiled at her warmly. "No I couldn't Blue Jay, and I never will I love you sweetheart." "I love you too grandma." Lisa sniffed and hugged her, the room grew cold and she waited for her grandmother to let go of her hand. She wiped her eyes and smiled when she felt the cold hand on her shoulder, she turned and looked at her grandfather. He smiled at her. "Is she making it cold?" He nodded. -You'll be able to see her after the funeral.- he said. The room warmed, Lisa glanced at the soup. "Guess I didn't need to bring that." She watched the soup disappear from the container, she stared at her grandfather. -The spirit world is an interesting place.- he said while grinning. Lisa smiled then got up to let Diana know that her grandmother was gone from this world, mostly anyways. .... The ambulance took her grandmother away and she watched them leave. She looked up as a blue jeep pulled up, Tommy got out and walked over to hug her. She hugged him back and smiled at him. "I'm so sorry Lisa." "Thanks, I'll be OK though, I'm glad I got to see her smile one more time." He patted her shoulder. "Listen, she left you something and asked if I could give it to you right when she was taken away." Lisa nodded and followed him back inside, he went in the little vault he kept under the desk and handed her an envelope. "Go ahead and open it, she wanted it in the bank before anyone had a chance to ask you about it." Lisa nodded and opened it, as she thought it was a rather large sum broken up into several different checks including one that wasn't for her with a letter attached. She smiled and thanked him then walked to the door slowly. "Thank you grandma, I'll be looking forward to seeing you soon." she said under her breath. She felt a burst of warm air around her and her smile widened. After the checks were deposited she took out her phone to call her father and told him what happened. Franny made it clear that she didn't want to be on the Earth too long after death, especially since her husband went before her. .... A week after her grandmother was cremated, they went to the office of the funeral home for the reading of the will. Lisa zoned out while they waited, then jumped feeling a chill up her spine, she coughed and mumbled something about a spider crawling on her leg. She looked at the television screen and saw the reflection of her grandmother making faces at her. She coughed to hide her giggle. 'Oh very mature.' Lisa said mentally to her grandmother. -Funny you use to love those faces, now you're all prim and proper.- Franny replied. 'I have never been prim and proper in my life.' -Except when you took ballet, oh you were the cutest little gum drop fairy.- Franny said. Lisa watched her grandfather appear and bit back a smile as he led her grandmother in a dance around the room. Just like they use to do when she was younger the will was read and items were checked off the list for everyone in the room before it was Lisa's turn. "And finally, to Lisa, your granddaddy and I have left you a little something that is just for you, our house in Denver." Lisa smiled, the house was two stories and had a large backyard, a nice basement and the attic was a decent size. It was painted white and had a simple brown roof, the scheme of the entire house included colors of Spring time. Lisa had spent a ton of time there and her grandmother had taught her plenty of things, how to properly garden, how to paint, sew, and cook all sorts of things. She mentally thanked her grandparents who beamed at her. Kelly cursed. "Wait there must be a mistake, she already has a house, they must have meant it's for me." Kelly said. He glanced over the paperwork. "No you get the two thousand dollars, the house belongs to your sister." "That's bullshit, mother make her give it to me." Lisa shivered as the room grew cold, her grandfather was pretty laid back but her grandmother had a temper to balance out her normally sweet personality. -Spoiled brat, I didn't have to leave her anything.- Franny snapped. Lisa glanced at Kelly, and Julia shook her head. "Sweetheart relax I don't have to do anything, she'll give it to you." Julia said. Lisa frowned. "No I won't, the house is for me and I'm taking it." "What?! Mother did you hear her? She get's everything, what about me?" "She's just kidding, she knows your stupid ex is getting the house since he let you keep just about everything else." Julia said. "That's unfortunate but I'm not giving up their house." Lisa said. "Lisa..." "That's enough." They looked at Dennis. "What is wrong with you two? Why are you going out of your way to cause a fight?." he glared at them. "But..." "No Julia, you think I haven't noticed how you sneak around and try to hurt Lisa in any way you can, Lisa could overlook it so I stayed quiet. This is not negotiable." "Dennis our daughter needs a place of her own."Julia said. Kelly whined. "Daddy don't be so unfair." He rolled his eyes. "We have more than one daughter you know." he said to Julia. "Yes but she has a house." "And a convertible she won in that contest." Kelly added. "Really what color?" he asked Lisa. Lisa smiled. "Just like that one in your study." "Oh man, can your old man take it for a test drive?" She smiled and nodded he cleared his throat. "Now that we are done here I would like to leave." he said. "But Dennis, you're spoiling her." Julia added. Dennis shook his head. "Let's go." ... The ride was anything but quiet, Kelly frowned. "Mother I've lost valuable time with Alex these past couple of weeks." "Who?" Dennis asked. He traveled a lot for business since he worked for a company that dealt with electronics so he didn't always get all of the info on what was happening now. "My new boyfriend." Lisa rolled her eyes. "Dad she's delusional, she is already planning their future." "What? Do you even know anything about this guy?" "He's a doctor and he's rich." she said. Dennis rolled his eyes. "She's talking about Dr. Carmen." Lisa added. "That young doctor? Kelly he's still young, even if he's ready for a family a young man like that normally wants kids who are his own. You're having a second child by another man this is not a good time to start hitting on guys." he said. Kelly huffed. "Oh Lisa put you up to this didn't she?" Dennis sighed. "We went from the funeral home to the car, when could Lisa have put me up to this if I just heard about it?" "She's jealous dear, clearly she wants this man and can't handle the fact that she isn't good enough." Julia said. Angel of Mine Ch. 03 Dennis laughed and nudged Lisa with his elbow since they were both in the front seat of his truck. "Gonna tempt a young rich boy into your bed huh? You know I could use some free pain meds." Lisa started laughing, it was mostly funny because her father wouldn't even taken meds for a headache, he'd never have the guts to take them for fun. "That is not funny." Julia snapped. "Oh lighten up Jules, I wasn't born yesterday I saw how he was looking at Lisa if he's interested in anyone in this car it's Lisa for sure." Kelly screamed then mumbled something about the baby, Dennis and Lisa both knew she was faking and just shook their heads. "Dear, how could you say that?" Julia said angrily. "I repeat, lighten up Jules." Lisa giggled a little. "I'll play fair though, Kelly you say this man is your boyfriend." "Uh huh..." "So why hasn't he contacted you?" "Because Lisa...." "Wait wait, have both of you spent time with him?" "He invited us to a pool party at his house, we met his family." Lisa said. "After just meeting you in the hospital?" "After we ran into him at the store and Kelly convinced him to let us see his place." Lisa added. Dennis started laughing. "What's so funny?" Julia asked. "Nothing I just....I can picture Kelly backing him into a corner and Lisa coming to save the day." "What's that suppose to mean?" Kelly asked. "You always come on too strong I've seen you chase boys away before they even try to talk you." She huffed. "Also, again, Lisa was present Kel you don't want to hear this but I think that unless he comes to you on his own he isn't interested in you." he added. They pulled into the drive way and Kelly shoved the door out of the way and stormed inside Lisa's house, Julia followed after her. Lisa opened the garage and showed him the convertible, her dad was big on models and this car was one of his favorites. Lisa handed him the keys. "Come on let's go get something to eat I've had enough of those two for the afternoon." She smiled and got in the passenger side, they waved at the babysitter as she left then took off down the street. .. They got a couple of subs and ate by the fountain. "OK, truth time." Dennis said. She glanced at him. "What?" "Don't play innocent, that stopped working when you were thirteen." She smiled. "Fine...the car was a gift." "From Alex." he finished. "Maybe." He smiled. "Times sure have changed I remember when flowers worked, then it was upped to flowers and chocolate, then diamonds I guess in this new age you have to buy a car to show g-rated affection." Lisa giggled. "You want me to give it back, don't you?" He shook his head. "No, you're over ten it's not my place to tell you to give it back, I'm happy that a good man is giving you attention." "But what about not knowing him?" "That doesn't apply to you, you were always a good girl, Kelly jumps into everything head first." "Should I feel bad for....liking Alex? Since I am still married and everything..." "If Victor was treating you right then you wouldn't have that car, you wouldn't have talked to him outside the hospital, you probably wouldn't even know his first name. Besides I never liked Victor, it's annoying when a woman is two faced but when a man is two faced.... not only do you not trust him but when he marries your daughter you always feel the need to polish your shot gun around him." She laughed. "Baby girl I just want you to be happy, I don't want to go to my grave with a rift between me and my eldest." he added. She patted his forearm. "Grandpa loved his son, he was just giving you a hard time for settling." "How do you know that?" She reached in her pocket and pulled out the check and the letter then handed the two to him, he read the letter and she nudged him with her shoulder. "No matter the age of the child, a good father never wants to sit back and watch his own be mistreated." He smiled and shook his head before he slipped an arm around her and hugged her, she smiled and hugged him back. "So." he started. "Hmm?" "How fast do you think that baby goes?" .... They walked around the mall for a short time before Dennis stopped her. "I want to look at a suit real quick see you in a bit." "Wait da..." "Lisa." She turned and her gaze met Alex's. "Since you're free now, perhaps you'll come spend some time with me?" She blinked then ran over to hug him, nothing mattered except getting to be so close to him he smiled and wrapped his arms around her. "Could it be, that you missed me?" he teased. She smiled. ..... After Lisa watched Dennis take her car home safely she went to Alex's home without worry. In the car Alex told her that he was aware that she knew his family secret, and thanked her for not telling anyone. She only smiled and told him it wasn't her place to tell his business. He walked in the kitchen and took out the ingredients to make dinner, he looked up when she wrapped her arms around his waist and stroked his chest through his shirt. "You have a lot of time to work out?" He smiled. "When I choose to stop time I do." "You can do that?" "Of course, that's how I catch up on paperwork, and make time for other hobbies." "Why don't you stop it now?" He smiled and snapped his fingers, she looked out the window and saw that the children playing, cars driving, birds flying, everything stopped. She took out her phone and got a picture of a monarch butterfly as it escaped being eaten by a bird. "This could have come in handy at work, I almost didn't meet my deadline this week." "Maybe if you're nice to me I'll stop by your workplace and give you a few hours to play catch up." he offered. She smiled and turned, her eyes widened seeing he had let his wings come out, they were fairly large and light blue the tips were a darker shade of blue. She walked over and ran her hands over them, she couldn't describe the degree of soft she felt under her finger tips. She felt him shiver and pulled her hand away. "Sorry..." "Don't apologize...but you probably shouldn't do that while I'm cooking, we won't have time to eat." She blushed. "Are they full of nerves...?" "Of course, why do you think angels enjoy flying in heavy wind so much?" She started giggling as she pictured a tornado causing multiple orgasms while the angels checked for survivors. He blushed. "Just so you know I can hear your thoughts and no angel has ever flown into a tornado, we have limits." She giggled even harder, he shouldn't have said that she could torture him with the right fantasy. "How about I go explore and stay out of your way?" She offered. "You're not in the way, but you can look around if you like." She kissed his cheek and he smiled at her retreating back as she left the room. ... "I told you, I don't know." Dennis said. Julia and Kelly were trying to get him to tell them where Lisa had disappeared to, he wasn't about to tell them anything. He had deposited the generous check and already put aside some money in a another account for the grandchildren Lisa would give him. Between the two of them Owen and Franny had given out their entire life savings, which was quite a bit after they found all of the money they had hidden throughout their home and combined with the money in their savings. He went to their grave to properly thank them. "But you left with her." Kelly said. "Yes and she's a grown woman she can go wherever she likes." "How will she get home?" He bit his lip to hide a smirk. "Maybe the bus, maybe she'll call me either way it's none of your business, go lay down." Kelly frowned and walked over to the couch to sit down, Julia stared at him. "Why can't you tell us where she is?" "I don't think you really care, I think you just want to find her so you can give her more crap, leave Lisa alone and worry about something else." Julia rolled her eyes and joined Kelly on the couch. "How long are you two planning on staying here?" Dennis asked. "Until the baby is born, Kelly shouldn't be moved around so much." Julia answered. Dennis shook his head and sighed. .... Lisa joined Alex at the table and they ate slowly while they talked, Franny appeared just then and smiled at the pair, Alex nodded at her respectively. -Oh Blue Jay.- Lisa smiled at her. "Yes grandma?" -Your grandfather just told me that Kelly and Julia are staying at your house until the baby is born.- she said. Lisa set her fork down and rubbed her temples. "Why don't you just move out?" Alex asked. "Where would I stay while I shopped for furniture?" Alex frowned. "Here." "I can't just stay in your place...you haven't even formally asked me to date you." He grinned. "Will you do me the pleasure of dating me?" She smiled. "I'd love to." (Sorry about the lack of sex, if you stick around there will something in the next chapter.) Angel of Mine Ch. 04.5 Public Service Announcement...(Again I'm sorry about the wait I posted a comment on chapter three for anyone who cares about the reason. Also, my naga one (while I'm even upset at the ending's quality) will be completed soon. My demon one will be completed last because I have an editor for it and you'll have to wait for it anyways. I thinking up some new stuff to replace my naga one, and this story will also be ending soon, I think one more chapter. I don't make excuses on my stories but I tested the waters with these, and I hope that everyone who sticks with me will see improvement in my story telling. Thank you :D.) (If it makes you feel any better I work on more than one story at a time because it makes it more interesting for me to take a break from each story bit by bit. So instead of leaving my readers hanging for years and years, my stories get finished.....well except on my younger stories those will probably just get deleted.) Public Service Announcement end. (So glad people enjoyed the update, thanks so much to everyone for your comments also I promise you guys are going to get the information on why Victor hasn't slept with his wife in after all this time. I'm glad that to know that the story was good without as much sex. Lisa only survived the car accident because her grandfather saved her. If he hadn't been there let us remember that physical and emotional strength are two different types of strength. The story has been following Lisa has she moved from an abused house wife to a woman who can defend herself.) ......... After the dishes were washed Lisa joined Alex on the couch he pulled her into his lap, he wouldn't force anything on her but he couldn't resist holding her close. As she flipped through the channels while resting in Alex's embrace she could only think about how right this felt. She knew she would have to get the divorce papers ready for when Victor woke up. She wondered if he stayed out long enough if the judge would grant divorce without Victor's signature. She turned her head and kissed Alex he kissed her back and pulled her as close as he could. ........ Later in the day Alex stopped time again and took Lisa home, though he didn't want to, he knew she would have to go back anyways to get her things. He hoped she would only stay there a few more days before giving up the house and coming to stay with him. He had every intention of letting her stay in whatever house she chose, but he would make sure that he moved in with her. After a lingering kiss she got out and walked to the front door, he waved and time slowly began again as he got further and further away. She walked in and was immediately met with Kelly. "Where the hell have you been?" "Busy.." Dennis came out of the kitchen. "Oh there you are, enjoy your walk sweetie?" he asked Lisa. She smiled and walked past Kelly to kiss her dad on the cheek. "Of course." "Listen I'm taking these three home." "What? Why can't we stay here?" Kelly asked. Dennis just shook his head. "No dad it's OK." Lisa said. "You sure?" "Yeah, Kelly can have this house, I'm moving into to grandma and grandpa's house." "Don't you need new furniture since most of their things were suppose to go to charity?" Dennis asked. "Yeah but I have a friend with free time and a nice truck to help." Dennis smiled. "Wait a minute I don't want this house....grandma and grandpa's house has more room." Kelly said. Lisa ignored her. "Well make sure to throw a party when you move in, I want to see what you do with it." "I will." "Kelly go and get your mother, I need to talk to her about something." She frowned. "Why do I have to do it, you're so much closer to the steps." She walked to the living room and Dennis pulled Lisa into the kitchen, he always asked Kelly to do something when he wanted to have a conversation without her. "So you and Alex?" She smiled, he patted her shoulder. "That's my girl, your grandparents would have loved to see you smile the way you are now." How right he was. "I smile all the time." "Not for real you don't." he said. She shrugged but her smile widened. "Listen, about Julia..." "Are you getting a divorce?" she asked. He nodded. "I haven't been happy with her for some time now, but I admit I was making excuses to stay around. I thought maybe I was just going through one of the phases most husbands go through, however that doesn't seem to be the case." She nodded. "I understand, though I don't know how you lasted as long as you did." "...you know what?" "Hmm?" "Neither do I." They laughed. "Anyways, I'm telling you in case you need help with your own forms." "Forms for what?" They turned and glanced at Julia. "I'll tell you later, Lisa here has some good news." Dennis said. "What?" Julia asked. "I'm giving this house to Kelly." "Oh you are? That's great, I'll tell Kelly so we can go see what work has to be done." Lisa sighed. "No, I said I'm giving this house to her, the one we're standing in right now." "Whatever for?" "I'm moving in to grandma and grandpa's house." "Oh Lisa..." Lisa forced herself to contain an eye roll. "Anyways Lisa you have to ask Victor's permission." Julia said. "Lisa is an adult, she doesn't need his permission for anything." Dennis said. Lisa's eyebrow twitched as she held back another eye roll, she kissed her dad's cheek and went upstairs to go to bed. .... The next afternoon Dennis took her to her grandparent's house, the furniture among other things left for charity had been picked up. Inside it was pretty clean Dennis had been keeping an eye on the place after his parents were moved into a home. Lisa went through the closets and bathrooms. Once she was satisfied there were any little critters taking up space there, she checked the basement. The carpet had been replaced with wood flooring, her grandmother thought it looked better this way. She walked around the corner and smiled, all of her old baby stuff was neatly set up. The pink and white walker was sparkling clean, her little swing set had been properly cleaned and her toys that had taken quite a beating looked brand new. All of it was set up in a area that was blocked off by a large baby fence and soft rugs had been set up underneath. She smiled as she felt the cool arms of her grandmother wrap around her. "Thank you grandma." -You're welcome sweetheart, I made sure that Dennis kept all this stuff so when the house was cleaned out they wouldn't take it.- Fran said sweetly. "But it'll be a while before I have a child who can use this stuff." "Not if I have anything to say about it." She turned and smiled at Alex, her grandmother stepped away and she walked over to hug him. "Hey, how did you know where we were?" "You're father called me." he replied. "I see." "Even cleaned out you have a wonderful home." he said to Fran. She smiled. -Thank you dearie, I just hope you can make it into an even more wonderful home.- she said. -Hey look what I found.- Owen said. Lisa sighed as she spotted her old baby book in her grandfather's hold. "Grandpa don't show him that..." -Oh but you were just so cute, Owen show Alex here that picture from her second birthday.- Fran said. He flipped through while ignoring his granddaughter's objection, she had fat cheeks and a huge smile. Her grandmother had put her in a striped pink dress that was two sizes too big. She had chocolate all over her face. -We thought she was happy that we gave her a whole cupcake but found out later she had taken a dump the size of Texas.- Owen said. Fran slapped his arm but laughed anyways Lisa huffed, her beloved grandparents were champs when it came to embarrassing her Alex kissed her cheek. "You were adorable maybe we'll have a daughter just like you." Lisa shook her head. "Impossible.....I'm the only one who can manufacture a Texas sized number two and no one is allowed to de-throne me." They laughed, she hurried to take the book from her grandfather as her father came down stairs. "Hey dad, look what we found." He smiled as he took the book and scanned a few of the pictures. "Oh you always had the best smiles, you would always cry when I had to go to work." he said. "I did not." she said. "You did and then again if I didn't feed you, you'll always be daddy's little girl." She huffed again but held a smile Fran cooed slightly. "So do you want to go shopping?" Alex asked. "For what?" "Furniture, appliances, some new things to put out in the garden?" he answered. "Tools, a first aid kit, maybe some mace." her father added. She did not like the idea of being stuck looking for things for the house with two men, she could just see the first two hours in her head. Constantly having to leave the line because her father insisted that she didn't pick up the right set of tools. Or maybe he would argue with Alex over the best dishwasher, she sighed and figured she should get it over with. "Fine, but the first time I have to listen to a thirty minute rant about why one set of tools is better than the other we're leaving the store." She moved upstairs and her father nudged Alex. "She doesn't know what she's talking about, that's the best part." Alex grinned. "I heard that!" ........ Lisa thought they would save time by going to Home Depot first, but just as she feared it took her father two hours to go through the whole store; mostly to point out things she wasn't allowed to buy. She eventually gave up and went to look at paint with her grandmother. -You always have someone complaining about stereotypes and why they shouldn't be used but it's true! Boys will be boys.- Fran said shaking her head. Lisa giggled and smiled. 'Grandma, you know I don't want to rush things, but seeing that baby stuff really made me want to decorate one of the rooms. Maybe we could just look around.' Her grandmother beamed. -Oh I've always wanted to do that with you, I was thinking throwing out tradition and using green and white for a baby girl.- she said. Lisa smirked. 'You've thought about this a lot haven't you?' -When you're as old as I am you have a lot a free time.- she laughed after. Lisa looked at the various tones trying to hold back her laughter as her grandmother made sick faces at her 'terrible taste'. Her eyes landed on a royal blue shade. 'Grandma....how about this for the master bedroom?' After a quick glance she gave her approval. -With a silvery-metallic shade of gray and white?- she offered. Lisa smiled she could see the bedroom she wanted in the back of her head. -But don't get silk sheets, you'll be sliding all around before you get a chance to get comfortable.- she said. Lisa smiled and grabbed a couple cans, she didn't want to change the entire house, but even when she was a kid she never liked the greenish yellow shade on the walls in her grandparent's room. She looked up as Alex walked over to her. "Did everyone agree on everything?" "Sort of, your grandfather would wave his arm through your dad so he would get a chill up his spine if he made a bad selection. What's the paint for?" "The bed room, grandma says this would look like with gray and white." He nodded and smiled. .... Finally they made it to Walmart where they could pick up other things, she went looking for a sheets while her father tried to explain to Alex why the blender had to be as a big as possible. "Lisa?" She turned and smiled at Jenna. "Hi hun, what's up?" "Not much, just stocking up for the week, what are you here for?" "Buying things for my grandparent's house, they left it to me in their will." "Oh sweetie that's great, are you here all alone?" "No I'm with my dad and Alex." "Alex is?" "The one who bought me the car." Jenna squealed. "I'm here all alone, come on you have to let me meet Mr. Moneybags." Lisa sighed and waved her over to where they were, she greeted her father then turned to Alex. "It's so nice to finally meet you, I swear my little Lisa has always had bad taste in men, but look at you here to help her fill up her new house for no reason good man." Lisa smacked her arm and Alex grinned. "Well Lisa when you're all ready we should have a party, I have been dying to have an excuse to party I'll bring you a ton of house warming gifts." "Jenna I'll baby sit without the bribery." "Lisa don't you know when a female friend has a female friend with kids that the one with kids always has to bring the right things to the other's house?" Jenna said. Lisa rolled her eyes but laughed anyways, Jenna had to leave because she only had the baby sitter for a few hours but told Lisa to call her. After dropping off their purchases they went to Oak Express to get furniture. That went a lot quicker, they got a few book shelves, a television stand, a new glass top coffee table, night stands, a dining table, a king size canopy bed, and a couple couches. Alex asked Lisa to go and pick out a computer desk while he paid for everything, Dennis smiled in approval. .... After the delivery men helped set up, Lisa washed all the sheets she bought, her grandmother told her to be anal about cloths and what not. While they dried Alex helped her paint the room and put the bed frame together. Lisa yawned, the smell of paint was strong but Alex had used his powers to make it dry faster at least. "Thanks for helping so much Alex, and I know what you did, I'll pay you back." He smiled at her. "Sorry I only speak English." She frowned a little. "Alex this stuff was expensive." He got up and pulled her close. "I don't really care." He kissed her before she felt the need to argue again, she kissed him back. "Hey kids the Chinese food is here!" She pulled away and took his hand, they went downstairs to eat. .... The following morning Lisa went home to get a few things, while she was packing she heard Kelly and Julia come in. She peeked out the door and Kelly spotted her. "Oh there you are, we couldn't reach you." "Need something?" she asked. "Just to talk, come here." She walked downstairs and leaned against the wall. "Yes?" "The hospital called, Victor is awake." Lisa tried to look happy, she really did but it didn't work. "Oh that's great." "The hospital is going to keep him for a week or so and then I think he'll be able to come home." Julia said. Lisa nodded slowly. ...... A few days later Lisa was laying on her new couch in the basement and staring at the television. She jumped when the door bell rang and got up to run upstairs. She relaxed seeing Victoria and Genie holding pizza. "Hi guys." "Hi." they said in unison. She moved and let them come in, they set the food down and Lisa moved to grab cups and plates. "So how is everything?" Genie asked. "Fine." Lisa mumbled. "What's the matter?" Victoria asked. "Victor is awake and I kept telling myself I should go visit but so far I haven't.." "You're thinking about visiting an abusive bastard?" Genie asked in surprise. Victoria laughed. "You're an odd ball." she said to Lisa. "When is he suppose to be released?" Genie asked. "I think at the beginning of next week, he wasn't too damaged it could have been worse." Lisa said. "Well we can go with you if you want to visit him." Genie offered. "Yeah I want to see the worthless swine...I mean I want to wish him well on his journey of complete recovery." Victoria said. They burst into giggles. "Thanks guys, maybe on Saturday." Victoria reached into her back pack and pulled out a folder. "And you can give him these." Lisa opened the folder and saw divorce papers, she smiled at Victoria as she handed her a pen. Lisa had originally had them sent to her house, only to find them shredded to bits when she finally saw them. "Thanks Vicky." She smiled. .... The next morning Lisa looked over all the forms one more time to make sure she hadn't missed an initial box, or accidentally singed the wrong line. She smiled as her grandmother hugged her. -Never before as a set of divorce papers looked so nice.- she said. Lisa smiled and glanced at the calendar, she still had a couple of days before they went to the hospital. She knew her ass of a husband didn't deserve to be treated so nicely but she chose to be an adult and properly check on him before handing him a pen. She had stopped wearing her wedding band some time ago, she knew it hadn't cost much but figured he would want it back. She placed it in it's box and sat the box in a plastic bag, she watched her grandmother fade as she normally did when Alex was here. She had given him a key and while he stayed over almost every night he'd been a perfect gentleman. He walked in the office and smiled at her. "Hey, Genie told me you're going to the hospital this weekend." "Yeah just long enough to get his signature." He smiled at her and pulled her against him to press his lips against hers she kissed him back. He gently ran his fingers through her hair, he was glad he wouldn't have to worry about Victor again. ........... On Saturday Genie and Victoria pulled up in Lisa's driveway and honked the horn to get her attention. Lisa wore a pair of capris and a black tee shirt with a red button up over it, they had plans to go bowling afterwards. Genie backed out and headed for the hospital, Lisa yawned and watched the scenery go by. "Hey Lisa, mom is going to meet us at the bowling alley she claimed she doesn't have any bowling clothes." Genie said. Lisa grinned. "But she has tons of jeans." "And loves having tons of excuses to go shopping, you'll find that angels are very easy to amuse." Victoria said. She smiled. All too soon the hospital came into view she grabbed her things and followed them inside, she waved at the receptionist and went right to the elevator. They walked to his room and after she asked them to stay in the hall she opened the door. She set the folder and her purse on the counter and pulled back the curtain, her mouth fell open. Sleeping in Victor's arms was Kelly, she frowned then picked up a pitcher of ice water and dumped it on both of them. They came awake quickly and stared at her in shock. "What the fuck Lisa!" Victor started. "Lisa you wait...until I tell on you!" "A good man huh? I have a good husband huh? You wish you had a husband as great as mine huh, well sis looks like you do." "Oh wait I can explain....don't tell Alex." Kelly pleaded. Victor frowned. "Who the fuck is Alex you tramp?" "My boyfriend, and he treats me nicer than you do, he said he'll even raise our baby." Lisa paled a bit but her anger doubled. "You're pregnant with Victor's baby?" "Well yeah, I didn't see why you should have him all to yourself, I let him do anything he wanted." Lisa pressed the call button and an elderly nurse came in. "Is there a problem?" "No ma'am, he just needs help filling out the divorce papers." "What fucking divorce papers?" Victor snapped. Lisa walked toward the folder and held it up to show him the contents. "These divorce papers." Victor frowned. "Oh come on baby, don't be like that, we can work it out, I'll treat you like a queen." Lisa rolled her eyes and handed the pen and forms to the nurse who was giving Victor the dirtiest look she could create. "Just send them to the address I wrote on the side here." "Sure thing hun." Lisa grabbed her purse and moved to leave. "Wait Lisa!" She sighed. "What?" "She's not even as good as your step mom." Both Lisa and Kelly's mouth fell open, Lisa turned and walked toward him to back hand him as he done to her so many times in the past. Angel of Mine Ch. 04.5 "To think I wasted so much time on your stupid ass, fuck you." She turned on her heel and left the room, Genie snapped her fingers as they walked into the elevator. Victor screamed as he received a very angelic vasectomy, Victoria asked her what she did and high-fived her. Lisa couldn't help but laugh, she felt like a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders. She was still pissed that both her sister and her step mother had sampled her husband. However she had Alex and their family, as far as she was concerned the bastards deserved each other. ......... At the bowling alley Genie told her mother about the incident in the hospital, she applauded her for her silent revenge. Charmaina wrapped her arms around Lisa. "Are you OK sweetie, your blood must be boiling." "You know what? I'm fine, the fact that I never have to see him again makes it all the better I just don't know what to tell my dad, he wasted way more time with Julia." "Just invite him over for coffee and talk to him about it, were they close?" "Not lately, he was going to get his own copy of divorce papers." "Hey Lisa?" Victoria said, She looked up as she tapped on the table and another set of papers appeared, Lisa smiled and thanked her. "No need to thank me, just get a strike so the losers can treat us to sundaes." "Oh you wish." Genie said. Lisa laughed and nodded, she was thinking she would have taken it worse if she didn't have anyone, but her family had given her far more strength. ....... After talking to her father he called Julia, he seemed more surprised that she had cheated with Victor and not so surprised she cheated at all. "Yes?" "Julia I've looked the other way on a lot of things but you sleeping around, especially with your daughter's husband, is something I can't ignore." "Oh Victor told you?" "He told Lisa, you don't sound like you have an ounce of shame." Dennis said. "Well I'm proud that I can attract a younger man, I've taken good care of this body over the years." Dennis rolled his eyes. "Well the divorce papers are in the mail." "Oh Denny, you don't know what you're throwing away, I'm experienced." "Good bye Julia." He hung up and sighed, Lisa nudged him. "Hmm?" "You know, you have at least forty or so years before you need a retirement home, that's plenty of time to find some other hot babe." He laughed and hugged her. "Baby girl what would I do without you?" "Well for one thing you wouldn't have someone to make grandma's famous cookies." He laughed even harder. ........ The next morning Lisa woke up and Alex was still sound asleep his right wing was draped over her. She moved until she could look at his sleeping face she traced the features of his face with one finger. She moved into a sitting position as she moved her finger over his muscles. He twitched slightly and cracked open and eye, almost as if he'd been awake and had been waiting for her to get up. She smiled as he stretched and his wings slowly disappeared. He sat up and pressed his lips against hers gently. "Morning." The smile never left her lips as he hooked his hand under her nightie and slipped it off, he slid out of bed and carried her to the shower..... (I have a feeling many will want to kill me for the cliff hanger, and I'm sorry but at least you know more is coming....that's good right? Remember the end is upon us.) Angel of Mine Ch. 05 (Wow that was a long wait and I apologize to anyone who may have been checking for updates. My muse was just hit by a figurative bus and turned into dumplings, and I didn't want to just post anything well now my brain juices are turning once again. Thanks to everyone and I hope you enjoy the final installment of AOM. :D.) ...... The shower began running, at first the spray of water was cold but Lisa didn't really care. She wrapped her arms around Alex's neck and he kissed her deeply. He shivered feeling her fingers running over the top of his back. Their tongues did battle passionately, Lisa moaned as his hands ran over her body she wasn't shy in the least. Alex was not planning to take her virginity against the shower wall but he intended to make her weak in the knees before they returned to the bed. He reached for the soap and rubbed all over her body until her curves had a generous soapy coating. She had to return the favor, when she reached his back she almost giggled watching him twitch as he let out a moan. As the collected soap twirled and swirled down the drain she let her eyes travel over his well built and wet body. It was enough to make any one fall to their knees. He claimed her lips again and they ignored the hot water that fell over them as they got lost in the kiss. She moaned again as his fingers danced over her nipples before he massaged each breast his other hand ran over her side before sliding over her back and down to her firm backside. Lisa pressed against him and reached to bite on his neck she knew, after leaving a few bites, when she found the hidden hot spot on his neck by the change in his moan. She couldn't resist rubbing over his muscles without even soap in the way, soon her hand found it's way between them and rested against his cock. She stroked the shaft and gently massaged the head for a short time before he pressed into her palm he chuckled slightly when she stopped. "Tease." he whispered huskily. She grinned until the hand near her breast slipped between her legs, she whimpered as his fingers rubbed her lips. She bit his neck and continued stroking his cock, as she assumed, this prevented him from stopping. He made sure to rub gently, he didn't want to hurt her. .... After the water ran cold he turned off the water, they barely had time for towels before moving back to the bedroom he laid her on the bed and rested on top of her. He kissed her lips lightly before kissing her neck and moving slowly down to her breasts. He ran his tongue over each nipple testing what she liked. He stayed near her breasts for a couple of minutes before moving lower until his tongue touched her clit. She moaned as his tongue teased her clit and arched, he raised up a hand to stroke one of her thighs slightly before he touched her nether lips. She was still a bit slick from their fooling around in the shower, he carefully moved around before slipping a finger inside. Soon after another finger followed. She tensed a little but after his finger twisted around a bit she was moaning and oblivious to the third finger. As Lisa got wetter and wetter he picked up the speed he wanted to bring her to orgasm again before he claimed her completely. .. After Alex pulled the comforter over them he asked her if she was ready, a breathy moan was the only answer he got. Slowly, inch by inch he pressed in, when she cleared him to move he switched between fast and slow. When they finished, they did it together. .. After a repeat performance in the bed, the had to break in the wall, the floor, the couch and most of the free space in their house. Lisa was tired and applauding Alex's stamina by the time the sun was going down. ....... A few months later Alex moved in all of his things and they added a pool after the patio and backyard were fixed up. Imagine Lisa's surprise when she found a malamute puppy digging around in her flower bed. She huffed as her grandfather laughed, her grandmother smacked his arm. -Don't laugh it's not funny, Lisa honey it's all your grandfather's fault he did the same thing to me when we moved in here.- Fran said. Lisa giggled, she remembered the fun loving golden retriever her grandmother had adored. She bent down to pick up the puppy who only protested a little before accepting the attention. He was brown and white, he licked her face and she spotted his name on his tags. "Bruce?" -Not cute at all.- Fran said. -Cute? You're worried about cute? Cute doesn't scare away the burglars.- Owen said with a huff. Lisa brushed all of the dirt off of Bruce and laughed as her grandparent's "argued" she stood up and turned to see Alex standing behind her. He smiled slightly. "I'm torn between thanking you and yelling at you for leaving this little guy unattended near my garden." He kissed her and winked. "Oh baby you know I an fix that easily." "Without your powers?" "Easy." She smiled. "Thank you, he's adorable." "And he comes with a special angelic gift from mom." "Oh?" "Already house broken and he doesn't pee on everything when he gets excited." She laughed, that really was a gift from the angels however there was no way she would let him run around in the house covered in dirt. She gave him to Alex and asked him to give him a bath. Dusting off her clothes she walked through the gate toward the front just as her father pulled into the driveway. She ran over and hugged him. "Hey pumpkin." "Dad how have you been?" He answered as they walked inside. "Busy busy, but you know without my little problem around the peace and quiet as been grand." She smiled. "And what about Mike and Tony?" Tony was the name chosen for her second nephew, her father got a nanny to do most of the work since he was getting older but he took custody of both boys. "Just fine, you know Mike is less of a hassle than he use to be call me crazy but I think he's actually responding to being an older brother." "That's great!" She walked into the kitchen and reached for the cake stand, she raised an eyebrow when it was pulled out of her reach. She crossed her arms. "Charmaina." The woman appeared and grinned. "Alex wanted you to try the cake he made, their in the fridge don't spoil your appetite now." Lisa laughed and turned to do just that, she opened the door and bent down she found the large white box and pulled it out to set it on the counter. When she opened it her eyes widened written neatly on top of the cake in icing was the one thing she'd been waiting to hear. Will you marry me? On top of the cherry was a silver band with little diamonds resting around a large dark blue sapphire. She blushed as Alex's arms went around her waist. "Just so you know, silence is not a reassuring answer." he said. "......Yes yes yes a million times yes!" Charmaina squealed as she watched Lisa throw her arms around her son, she couldn't wait to help plan the wedding. ................................................................................................................................................ Lisa stood in front of a large full body mirror she was wearing a white mermaid style dress it was both sleeveless and strapless the top was heart shaped. There were several small diamonds around the top of the dress in a decorative corset pattern. Long white evening gloves covered her slender arms and she had a pair of matching silver tennis bracelets on each wrist. She had decided to leave her hair down, it was a little longer so the waterfall curls fell to the center of her back. The veil was connected to a tiara, she hoped he would like what he saw she'd been nervous all morning. She jumped hearing a crash in the bathroom and walked over to investigate. She crossed her arms seeing little Bruce yipping at a fallen flower pot, it was pretty high, she cocked her head realizing he couldn't have knocked it over. He was wearing a white bow tie for the occaision. She ushered him out of the bathroom and walked back to the vanity to fuss with her hair. She paused and touched her neck, resting under the simple white choker was a gold chain attached to a pendant with a little ruby and emerald placed to look like a rose. She touched the pendant wondering where it came from, she turned and stared at her grandparents. "Grandma...?" -She wanted you to have it.- Owen said. Lisa was quiet before she realized who 'she' was she swallowed. "Mom." Her grandmother walked over and opened the pendant, inside was a little picture Lisa hadn't seen before. One of her mother. Lisa sniffed. -Don't cry crumb cake, you'll mess up your make up.- Owen said. Lisa smiled. -Your mother loves you.- Fran said ignoring her husband. Lisa picked up a tissue to dab her eyes. -She wanted us to give that to you on your wedding day, but she knew more than most just like you and specifically said not to hand it over on the first one.- Owen said. -Mother knows best.- Fran said. Lisa thanked them and put on a smile when her father walked in. . The ceremony went on without a single problem, they got married at her new's mansion. Alex wore a white and silver tux to match her dress, Jenna was her maid-of-honor and Charmaina,Vicky and Genie were the bridesmaids. From the beautiful reception to their honey moon in Ireland and back again Lisa knew they would be happy together. Four kids, six grandkids and three great grand kids later they still were... End Chapter...End Story (Well there you go, seemed just right for the end of this story after all of this time I was thinking about the end :D)
