No one had set her heart afire. She waited 200 long years after she became a vampire to find her true love. It never happened. She was finally resigned to the fact that she would spend the rest of eternity alone and killing innocents just to survive. She hated that she became a vampire, but now, she has to live with it, so to speak, and never get close enough to anyone she wanted to kill. Not wanted to, NEEDED to kill. Her life's blood was the feeding of blood off of others and she had gotten used to the idea.... somewhat. and she had gotten good at it. She knew where to go for a fresh kill and that most men wouldn't resist her when she cornered them to feed. She looked in her late 20's, maybe early 30's. She had black hair and Green eyes, She was about 5'9" and a medium build. Men were not intimidated by her when she came to them. They thought they would have a good time. Like all the other floosies that they think would give them something for nothing. They had no idea just how different she was until it was too late and then they wouldn't survive to tell anyone else about what she had done. Her name is Jeanne Marie. Someone had called her by both of her given names once and she liked how it sounded together. She had never wanted to turn someone to a vampire. She thought it was a violation, as when the vampire that turned her when she didn't want it. She wasn't about to add to the flock of vampires out there and she didn't tell anyone about herself. No one asked really and She really wanted someone to talk to and not be afraid of who and what she is. She doubted she would ever find it. But these were different times to the ones that she had lived in previously. There had been so many advances made and at this rate, SHE might be the one facing extinction. She shuddered at the thought. she knew there were other Vampires around but she didn't socialize with them. She liked being alone for the first couple of hundred years, but now, something inside her wanted companionship. Something she didn't think she would ever get. As dusk fell, She came out of her coffin and stretched. She didn't have a restful sleep. Something inside nudged at her, gnawing at her. It was nothing like she had ever experienced before. Maybe tonight would be different, but she wasn't sure what to look for. She had fed enough the previous evening so she was going to just look around tonight. Maybe try to get to know someone, a man, maybe and see how the other half lives for a change. She was never a social butterfly. Maybe that is one of the reasons she now liked being a vampire. The ease of being alone and doing what you wanted to do and not answer to anyone. She wasn't sure of what type of man to look for. There were so many choices. Professionals, Hobo's, Artists, Actors, All different kinds of people. She wasn't sure where to begin. She left her cottage and walked the streets of a small English town. A place where people knew each other and they seemed friendly enough. She just wanted someone to talk to but she wasn't sure how to approach someone. She went in to a pub and ordered a beer. Although she hated the taste, she decided to be part of the crowd and look like she was supposed to be there. She paid for the beer and sat at a table. A few people were playing darts and a few were playing pool. It was a bit after 8 pm and the working crowd had just come in. She tried to drown out the noise but the talking and laughing was a bit too much for her. Vampires have their senses heightened and she could hear even the lowest of whispers. She saw a man sitting alone. She focused her attention on him. Although vampires can project thoughts to humans, she was focusing on HIS thoughts and not giving him any of her own. His head shot up for a second and he looked around. She stopped probing his mind. No one had ever had that kind of reaction before. No human had ever been able to sense her without her knowledge and she was not projecting anything on to him. He looked over to her and realized she was the one who had entered his mind. He got up and went over to her. He sat himself down. "I've been waiting a long time for you to come." He said. She was shocked. "And you are as beautiful as I imagined." "Excuse me?" She answered. "I know we haven't met formally, But I have been waiting for someone just like you." He said. "My name is Bob, By the way." He introduced. Stunned, she held out her hand. "My name is Jeanne Marie." She said. "Why did you say you have been waiting for me? I've only just arrived." She stammered. "I know these other people. I Have lived and worked with them all my life. And then I get this..... intuition, I suppose you could call it. And here you are. I just had a feeling that something was going to happen today, and I came here to drown my sorrows, since it didn't come. But NOW, I get a premonition that a beautiful woman is here and needs to talk so here I am. Willing to be your Shoulder to cry on and hopefully much, much more." He said. She was still in a state of shock. "There is an old saying, 'Be careful what you wish for....you MAY get it!' You have no idea what and who I am and I'm not sure if you will be THAT willing to help me.... after you find out." She said. "I have been alone, I just have a few friends and the rest are acquaintances. But the feeling I get from you is.... a great need for someone to talk to, and I want to be that person. No matter who or what you are. You are beautiful and you can have any man you want. But I must warn you, I am not rich, I work for a living and I go home to an empty bed. There is not an ex girlfriend, or wife, or lover. I was meant to be alone.... until tonight." He said. "Then I need to tell you some things in private. No one else can hear and no one else can know. I MUST have your word that what I tell you cannot be told to anyone else." She said. "Yes, M'lady." He said. "Hmmm That remains to be seen." She said. She paid for his drink and they left the pub. At her cottage, a few minutes later. They go in the cottage and she puts on a light. She turned to him. "Are you sure you want this? What I am about to tell you, you will not believe and certainly not want to talk to me afterward." She said. "Yes, I AM sure. I have never been so sure of anything in my life. When I first had that intuition, it gave me hope. Something I haven't had in a VERY long time." He said. "I will believe and not judge you on anything you say. I promise." He said. "All right. Sit down. This is going to be a shock But it is very true." She said and he sat down on a chair. "I am a vampire. One of a few left. I Have been missing companionship for a very long time. I promise you this though, I will not kill you. But I will also not make you one of my kind. As you have said, I need someone to talk to and I don't want news of my existence known. The people who DO know are not alive to tell anyone. I promised myself that I would find someone to talk to and I would not harm them in any way, but you must also promise me that what we say will be kept to ourselves. Knowledge of my existence beyond who I tell is not a good thing. I hope you understand." She said. "I do understand. I am captivated by you. You must have put my under your spell. I have never felt this way before. But I must ask.... What if I WANT to be turned? Shouldn't that be my choice? I have nothing to actually live for. And you are the only one to heighten my senses so much. I don't know what is happening to me but I definitely like it." He said. "I haven't put you under a spell. I don't believe that it would be right. Then there is something between us. We will just have to figure it out. But at a later date. I have never turned anyone. It was against my principles to turn someone into this wretched existence. I Would never put anyone else through what I went through." She said. "But I would welcome it. I would love to spend my eternity with you. You have captivated my soul. I am under your spell. No matter what kind of spell it is and I don't want to be let go." He said. She was amazed at what he was saying. She had never known anyone to WANT to become a vampire, much less spend their life and eternity with her. She wondered what was going on. She didn't understand it and she was going to find out why he was reacting that way to her when no one else ever wanted to. "All right. I Believe you. But I haven't put you under any kind of spell. I am just as amazed about it as you are." She said. "I think there is only one explanation for it...." He started. "And what is that?" She asked curiously. "I think I am falling in love with you. I have never met anyone who could bring such feelings and emotions out in me. I Have seen many women and none have captured my heart as you have. It MUST be love." He finished. "It's silly to fall in love with a vampire. I admit I had never had anyone have such as strong feelings for me as you. I think I need to think this over some more. This had added an unexpected twist to what I wanted." She said. "I understand. It is a bit overwhelming for me as well. I have never thought I would feel like this but one thing is certain. I will never tell anyone about you. It will be our secret. You can trust me." He said and looked straight in to her eyes. "Yes, I know." She answered. "I have never seen such wonderful eyes. Yours are so beautiful and sparkling. Like a precious gem waiting to be found." He said. He caressed her face. He was stunned by the cold for a second, but, her skin warmed at his touch. She felt exhilarated. "Your touch has made me feel things I haven't felt in along time. And some I have never felt before. There is something about you but I can't put my finger on it. Perhaps it is Love. I have never felt this way before. I Never really thought I could after wanting to feel this way for so long." She said. "We have a connection, somehow, someway, we are connected. I strongly believe that. I want to be more than your friend. I will admit that. I want to make love to you and make you feel how you should feel, and should've felt so long ago before you were turned." He said. She was still stunned at his proposal. "Do you know what you are asking? Do you realize what could come of us being together like that?" She asked. "I know Vampires can't have children, and that is fine with me. I never wanted children to begin with, but, I can give you what no one else had ever wanted to. I will give you all the love you need and deserve and as much as you want. I will be your love slave until the end of time. and much longer if you will let me." He said, And caressed her face again. "You are so beautiful." She looked in to his eyes for a long time. She saw that he was sincere in what he was saying and he really wanted to be with her. But could she do it? She had never turned anyone and she promised herself she wouldn't. But, if he wanted to stay with her, what else could she do? She loved his blue eyes. They had a radiance about them and she felt like she could dive in to them and never come back out. It was getting harder and harder to refuse his request. She was falling deeper and deeper in love with him as well and she didn't know how to stop it. Maybe she shouldn't, and she didn't think she wanted to either. "You have been thinking for a very long time. I can see the wheels turning." He said with a smile. "Have you come to a decision?" He asked. "Yes, I have." She said finally. "I have seen how sincere you are in what you are saying and I do love you. But I am still reluctant about turning you. I need to think about that more. I don't want to make anyone a vampire but if there is something that comes up, I will have no choice but to turn you." She said. "And what might that be?" He asked curiously. "I'm not sure yet..." She said cautiously. "But if it comes up I will tell you about it." She said and winked. He smiled. "Yes, M'lady." He said. He drew closer to kiss her. She responded to his advances and they kissed a wonderful kiss. She never thought she could be kissed and wasn't sure of how to do it but she thought that they did quite well. He was touching her all over, He loved the feel of her body and how each place he did touch warmed to him. She must be in love, she thought. No one else had ever touched her in anyway before. She never knew how love could be, Just what she had longed for and now with this new man, she had gotten it in spades. "I need to make love to you! I WANT to make love to you! You have brought so many feelings and desires out in me... I can't stand to keep them bottled up. I need to love you the way you should be loved, the way you deserved to be loved. Let me make love to you tonight. We don't have too time before sunrise. I want to make the most of it." He said. "I have never made love before. I am a virgin in that respect. I Have lived for hundreds of years and never found anyone I WANTED to make love to and make love with.... until now." She said. "I am a virgin as well." He said. "No woman has ever made me feel the way you do. It was never a thought until I saw you and until I felt you probe my mind. No one else has entered me that way. I never thought any woman would love me for my mind, until you came along." He said. "You are the only one that knew I was probing their mind. No one else had ever given that reaction. I knew there was something different about you. I just didn't know what, until now." She said. She led him to the basement and a few candles were burning. Her coffin was open and she wasn't sure if both of them would fit there and if it was comfortable enough for them to make love in. She never had use for a bed and didn't think she would need one. Maybe she would get one tomorrow night. He wasn't sure of what to make of making love in a coffin. He wasn't into kinky stuff, but, he thought, that if this was the woman he truly loved, it didn't matter where they made love. They stood by the coffin and kissed again, caressing each other and looking straight in to each others eyes, they started to take off each other clothes. Slowly and methodically. Not wasting any touch, or caress, or kiss. Every time their eyes met, a fire grew within both of them. A fire of passion and desire. They both had never felt anything so intense. It was VERY intense and very fulfilling to have someone to treat them this way. In ways they both never thought they would ever get to feel. They held each other so close. They needed to be as close as they could get. Even as close wasn't close enough. They wanted to meld in to one another and become one being. He guided her to the wall and she stood straight for him, wondering what he had in mind. He fondled her breasts with passion and softness. She never had that done before and she liked it. She moaned her approval. She asked him to do it a little harder. He was a bit startled at the request but did it anyway. She moaned louder and he knew he was doing something right. He never thought he could have this type of reaction from a woman and she never thought any man could make her feel so good. She put her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately. The passion growing with every touch and fondle. He felt more lustful and his willie was showing signs of activity. He grew straight and hard and he pressed against her so she could feel it as well. She liked the way his willie felt on her skin. She was starting to get wet where it had been dry and dead for so long. No one else had made her feel these things and she is finally becoming the woman she was meant to be. Her nipples grew larger and larger, He was astonished at how big they had become. So was she. She never had this kind of reaction from anyone before and she never thought that she would be able to feel this way with any man. He smothered his face in her breasts and smelled her lovely scent of love and lust and desire. He licked her breasts and kissed them. He suckled them one at a time and fondled the other. She began to moan louder in ecstasy. She never thought she could feel so good and she held his head there so he could do it for as long as he wanted. He looked up at her lovingly. He was so happy he had this chance to love her and that she was responsive to his love. He couldn't wait until he could get inside of her. He needed to make love to her. Although that is exactly what he was doing, he wanted to have wild sex with her and he couldn't wait until he could. He stopped Fondling her and look her straight in the eyes again. He had a wild look to him and she responded with an equally wild look. They went to the coffin and went in. She was on her back and he went on top of her. His willie grew more and more and he couldn't help but open her legs and enter willie into her. Slowly, at first, to get a rhythm going. She was panting and moaning, enjoying every moment of it. She held on to him as she experienced her first orgasm. She screamed when she felt it come out of her, She never thought she could feel anything like it before. She panted faster and faster. His orgasm was still building and he still kept thrusting in and out. He came inside of her like a geyser. He had waited so long for his first orgasm. He felt so good afterward. He wanted to do it again but he knew it would take some time before he could get everything to where he wanted it again. He collapsed on top of her and they held each other so close. Meanwhile, in another part of town, Terrance, The vampire who turned Jeanne, is looking for her. She thought he had died after he had turned her so she never gave him a second thought, Not that she wanted to. The anger finally subsided after 200 years and she didn't want to think about him or what he did. He was still in love with her, and that is why he turned her, so they could be lovers for all eternity. He was following her all throughout the land observing how she had become a vampire and that he thought she was doing quite well for herself. On this night, he was trying to find her, and she wasn't in her normal places. He thought is was strange that she should miss a night of feeding. He knew that she didn't like to be with anyone else, Vampire or otherwise. He saw the sun was starting to rise and he went back to his coffin to rest for the day, and to continue searching for her when nighttime fell again. "Sleep well, My love. I will always love you." Terrance said and the cover to the coffin closed and he went to sleep. As dusk fell, Jeanne and Bob woke up together. They looked in to each other eyes as the coffin lid opened. It was still light from the candles, as they were still burning, and they saw that they still had the fire in their eyes for each other. "I Love you." They both said together. And smiled. "And good morning, evening, Whatever!" Bob said and they laughed. "Did you sleep well? I know it was a bit cramped." She said. "I loved it. I loved being so close to you. I don't want it to ever end." He said. "You missed work. Your boss will be angry with you." She said. "No he won't. I don't work, I was just at the pub trying to drown my sorrows of not being able to work and feeling sorry for myself. I would've drunk myself to death until you probed my mind. You made me stop and think that there was a reason for living, and I am glad that you did." He said. "I had no clue. Once you knew I was probing your mind I stopped. No other person has ever felt me inside their mind before you. It was an unusual experience to say the least." She said. "But a wonderful one." She added. "For me too. I Have never felt this way for a woman before. I never thought a woman could feel this way for me. I was just an old sod who had no chance of being with anyone. You changed that for me and I thank you for it." He said. An Old Fashioned Love "You did the same for me. I never thought anyone could feel for me like you do. It is truly amazing." She said. They both got up out of the coffin, and stretched. He loved her breasts, so full, and firm, and round. He was mesmerized by them. "I wouldn't mind waking up to that site everyday." He said. "I bet you wouldn't!" She said with a laugh. "You were wonderful last night. I never thought anyone could make me feel like you did and do. I want that to last forever." She said. "So do I. And there is only one way to make that happen. Make me one of you and we can make love and be together forever. I have no one else. You are the only one I have ever wanted and I don't want to lose you." He said. "I don't want to lose you either. It will be hard after you become a vampire. You have to learn to control your urges." She said. He looked sad. "I mean your Vampiric urges not the sexual ones." She said. He smiled and breathed a sigh of relief. "Sometimes it can come on too soon and you will be out of control. And sometimes that is not a good thing." She explained. "You will be there to help me, wont you?" He asked. "Of course. I wish there was someone there to help me. I ran away, not wanting to know what was happening to me, but, I knew I had to keep my existence a secret so no one would know what was happening to them. And that is one of the main reasons why I promised myself I wouldn't turn anyone." She explained. "I understand." He said. "I am doing it for a totally selfish reason. I love you and I want and NEED to be with you. No one else has ever made me feel this way." He said "I know, No one else has made me feel the way you do too. I have never had these feelings for anyone, but now that you have come in to my life, I don't want you to go either." She said. He kissed her passionately. "I am never going to go. I will be with you forever. Until the end of time and much later after that." He said. "I Have never met anyone else like you. It is so wonderful." She said. "Yes, it is." He agreed. They kissed again. Suddenly, he felt another vampire probing. He knew it wasn't her. He tried to get all the information he could. Terrance was doing a wide Mind scan for Jeanne. Jeanne noticed his concentration. "What's wrong? It looks like you're in pain, Or, at least, deep concentration." She said. "Another vampire is looking for you. I'm trying to figure who it is." He paused for a moment. "He said his name is Terrance. and that he loves you and that is why he made you a vampire, to be his lover." Bob said. "I thought he died shortly after he made me a vampire. I never saw him after he turned me. I assumed he died." She said. "I don't want to see him again." She said. "I understand Lover. Turn me. Two against one is better odds than just you and he fighting each other. And I am sure there will be fighting. He doesn't seem to give up so easily." Bob said. "After looking for me for 200 years I think you may be right." She said. She looked at him straight in the eyes. "Are you SURE this is what you want? I cannot reverse it once I start." She cautioned. "Yes I am sure. I don't want it reversed. I want to be with you." He said. She sighed. "All right. Here goes." She said and bared her fangs. He closed his eyes and tilted his head so she could get a better bite. She bite him on the left side and started to suck his blood. Slowly at first, because she didn't want to harm him or kill him. He moaned in delight. This is something he had always dreamed about and now he was getting what he wanted. She stopped sucking his blood to let the effects of the turning start. He grew stronger and more virile. He hissed for a few seconds and his fangs started to grow. He was becoming a vampire and his eyes turned red for a moment. He opened his eyes and looked at Jeanne in a vampires eyes. "You are more beautiful now than when I first saw you. Everything is heightened and so is your beauty. No wonder he wants you. I feel the same way for you. I will do anything for you. Just name it!" He said. "First you need to calm down a bit, and, also, you need to have your first feeding. You are weak, for a vampire, and you need sustenance. We will have to go out and see what we can do. Do you want to start with an animal first or on a human?" She asked curiously. "I don't know. I always thought that vampires preyed on humans, not animals." He said. "We use animals when we cant get anything else. I thought it might be easier on you for your first to be an animal instead of a human." She said. "I would like to try it on a human. You can help me through what I need to do." He said. "Of course. We had better go. You will be feeing the hunger soon and it is better to sate it before it comes then be in the throws of it." She said. "Whatever you say, My Lover." She said and they left to find someone unsuspecting to drain. They walked the streets of Old London. They had flown there under cover of darkness and no one saw them. No one had an inkling of what was going to happen. Not even Bob. They came across a bum on the street corner. It was dark and no street lights were visible but just the light of the full moon lit up the night sky. He was a middle aged drunkard, about 50, sleeping off the effects of the 12 ciders he had. He was sleeping soundly when Bob went over to him, bent down and bite his neck. The drunkard never moved a muscle. Bob drained his blood in a matter of moments. "Very good My Lover, This one was an easy one. When people are awake is when you need to be careful. Which is why I never turned anyone. It would be too complicated to explain why there were so many vampires in the world." She explained. "I understand My Lover." He said. Terrance appeared in front of them. Startling the both of them. "Lover? What happened to me My Dear? The main reason I turned you was to love you throughout eternity, and now, you have found someone else to take my place? Very bad form." Terrance said. "I never asked you to turn me. What gave you the right to do it? I never wanted to become part of your world. You forced me to. And I NEVER loved you. You never took my feelings into account." She said angrily. "You and I were perfect together, My Dear. I loved you with everything I had and you rejected me. You ran away before I could teach you what you needed to learn, But you were a fast learner, I was watching you at times and you have done very well for yourself." Terrance said. "They if you loved me so much and wanted me back, why didn't you reveal yourself to me? You could've done it many times over the centuries." She asked. "Because I knew you felt angry with me for turning you. You didn't give me a chance to explain what I was feeling and what I was doing. You ran away and I decided to let you have some space, but when I came looking for you in America, you had gone, And I Have been trying to find you." Terrance said. "Well, now you can leave me alone. I have found my true love and nothing is going to stop us from being together, Not even you." She answered. "I will not leave. I will fight to keep you." Terrance said. "See? You are not taking my feelings into consideration. I DON'T LOVE YOU! I WILL NEVER LOVE YOU! Get that through your head!" She shouted. "You were my first. I will always love my first." Terrance said. "First what?" Bob asked curiously. "First woman I turned. There have been others but they weren't as innocent and as beautiful as Her." Terrance said. "I am her first turned and I am her first lover. Nothing can separate that from us. And I will fight you for her. I have loved her from the first. No one else has made me feel for someone as she has made me feel." Bob said. "Then you know how I feel, I Want to keep that love I have for her. She will be mine." Terrance said. "I don't think so." Jeanne said. "I get to decide who I want to be with, and, it isn't you." She said. "We shall see. You have not had the experience I have had over the centuries. I have been building up for far more then you have. And since your Lover is just recently turned, he hasn't the strength or experience to do battle with me either." Terrance said. "That may be so, but, you don't know anything about this country, I do. I lived here all my life and know a few things about this place more than you do." Bob answered. "We shall see." Terrance said and disappeared in a mist. "Be on your toes, he can be anywhere and do anything." Jeanne cautioned. "Of course, My Love." Bob said and readied to fight from whatever direction that Terrance decided to strike. Jeanne wished she could sense other vampires. It would make things a lot easier to fight them. She had heard of another type of immortal that could sense when another was near. She wished she had that ability. The both saw a mist coming in from the east. Bob started to attack it, She stopped him before he could go any further. "Stop! You can't hurt a vampire in the mist form. There is nothing solid there to attack. Wait until he forms and then attack." She said. "Yes, Beloved. I lost control for a moment." Bob said. She gave him a knowing smile. "Yes, I know what you're thinking. I'm new at this remember?" Bob said and they both laughed. "I remember." She said. "How utterly disgusting and pathetic! I may just die of sugar poisoning instead of anything else. EWWW!" Terrance said through the mist. He still wasn't visible but they heard him loud and clear. "This is what true love is about. Not using someone for personal gain. You want Jeanne as a possession, I want her to love her. You really don't love her, You just don't want to see a possession get away from you. She may have been your first creation, but, she is my lover and you can't take that. I have something that she was never going to give you willingly, Love." Bob said defiantly. "How would you feel if I gave you love reluctantly? You wouldn't want it because you knew it wasn't a true love that I was giving you. I'm sure you have had hundreds of other lovers over the centuries. Why do you want me when you know I won't give you what you want?" She asked curiously Terrance was silent. He was still there is mist form. "These are different times than what we came from Terrance," She continued. I Have gotten over the bitterness of being turned against my will. I have accepted the fact I am a vampire now. It didn't happen overnight, It took almost two centuries, but I have found what, and, WHO I have always wanted. I will never love you. I have found my true love. Now I implore you to go and find someone who will make you as happy as I am. Please, You will be so much better off." She pleaded with Terrence. The mist was still around. Bob went toward the mist and felt it. It felt cold and damp. Terrance's mist wasn't damp. This was the real mist from the water. "Be careful" She said. "He is gone. This is the regular London fog. Its damp. When I tried to fight him before, the mist wasn't damp. This one is. He is gone." Bob said. "But not forgotten. He will be back to try again. And I must train you. You need to learn how to use your powers and fight." She said. "Tomorrow. I want to be with you more tonight. We need to finish what we were doing last night." Bob said with a grin and a wink. "Hmm.. Maybe you SHOULD control your sexual urges." She said and stuck out her tongue. "NEVER!" He said with a smile. "GOOD!" She responded. They laughed. and went back to her cottage and continued to make love. In the few months that passed since Bob had become a vampire, He had been growing stronger and they have been practicing their fighting skills. He had felt his strength and agility become more intense after he had become a vampire and he was glad that he did. He wanted to be with Jeanne Marie forever and this was the only way he could be. But he was also concerned about Terrance. Terrance wouldn't give up so easily. Bob knew that he treated Jeanne like a possession and not as a lover. That was evident when he never revealed himself to Jeanne when she was alone and feeding. He had several opportunities to reveal himself and he just watched from the background and never told her that he was there. To Bob, that said that Terrance didn't really love her and he didn't want her to love, only wanted her as a possession. Jeanne saw that as well and told Terrance that she didn't want to have anything to do with him. But Terrance said that he would fight for her and they would be ready when the time came. When Bob saw Jeanne through a vampires eyes, it was pure magic. Everything was heightened. Her Beauty, her touch, and especially, her love. He never thought it could get any better than what they had the first time but when they made love now, as vampires, it was truly sensational. He never thought he would be able to make love like that. No woman had ever saw him that way and he was so glad that she loved him for who he was and not just another plaything that she could use and throw away. He knew she wasn't like that and he was so happy to find her when he needed her the most. Night was setting and the moon started to rise over the horizon. Bob and Jeanne were hungry after a day of heavy lovemaking. She was glad she got the bed it was more comfortable to make love in the bed than in her coffin. Although she liked the closeness of the coffin it gave to her for holding him, the bed had more flexibility to do.... other things. "Hello my Lover, Good evening." She said and kissed him. "Hello My Lover. Good evening to you too." He said and passionately kissed her back. They loved to see each other when they got up. "I had some wonderful dreams. How about you?" He asked. "I haven't dreamt in along time. I didn't think we could." She answered. "I never thought I could dream when I was human, I probably did but never remembered them. But, now, EVERYTHING is so vivid and real. And it's all because of you My Lady and My Lover." He said. He kissed her passionately again. He can't seem to keep his hands and lips off of her and he doesn't want to try. Jeanne had never felt like this before either. No man had ever wanted to love her and He was so wonderful. She never knew how intimate and how intense making love could be with the right person. She is so glad she met Bob when she did. She hated to have his ability to sense other vampires gone when he became one. That would've been an asset, but, to fight Terrance, he needed to become a vampire, AND, he wanted to. She was glad that she did make him a vampire. She thought he had sexual urges before, but now, those urges had become a thousand fold. He was insatiable. But she wouldn't want him any other way. They got dressed for their night of feeding. As they went out, like they always did. Bob was on the lookout for Terrance. It has been 5 months since their first contact with him and he was sure that Terrance wouldn't give up so easily. He knew that there would be a time when Terrance would strike and he wanted to be ready for him when he did. It was hard for Bob to think of her as a possession. They shared so many things and he knew that they were meant to be. He liked his life with her better than what he life would've been without her. He was glad that he sensed her in his mind and went over to talk to her. He WOULD have drunk himself to death. That was his sole purpose of going to the pub. To die in a pool of ale, and, never to be again. Now, being a part of the undead, he had a purpose. He never felt he had a purpose before. He just lived and did. as most people did, but, now, he had a reason to be and he loved being with her. He could see that she felt the same. She would never have been happy being with Terrance. He was glad that she went out on her own and led a solitary existence before she came and met him. They searched the land for a couple of people to feed on. Bob always has Terrance in the back of his mind, Always seeing shadows around every corner. Watching and waiting for his return. They saw a couple so much in love, and holding and kissing. They looked at each other and decided to let them be. They didn't want to upset the happy couple by killing them. They looked for a couple of other people to feast on. They decided to prey on the dregs of society. The people that no one would miss. The criminals, drug dealers, Sex offenders, Child molesters, the sort of people the world could do without. "I have always wanted to do something to those people that use the innocents for their own gain. This is will the best payback." Bob said. "I agree Darling, I hated taking the lives of innocents. But, like I said, when you are in the throws of the hunger, you can't make the choice of who to kill. Usually it's the first person that crosses your path." She said. "I understand Sweetheart." He said. They roamed the streets of Cambridge. It was a high society neighborhood and their ability to scan the minds of humans made the choice of who to kill easier. There were dregs of society being passed as high society people. They got away with it for years, but, now they have two vampires to contend with. They heard a commotion over at a pub and they decided to go over to investigate. There were four men pushing and shoving and talking loudly outside the pub. "Hey Mate, Don't talk about my woman like that, Only I can do that!" The first man said. "She's not your woman! She has been mine and Steve's and Bill's. She's a floozie Ron, Get over it!" The second man said. "Gentleman, You're a bit loud and disparaging a lady's reputation." Jeanne said. They looked at her and Bob. "Go away, This is not of your business, Go home and do some ironing. or better yet, Service your man. IF you have one." The first man said. "I am her man and It is not nice to talk to a lady like that. Any of you." Bob said. The others laughed, "You're not man enough to take us on.. are ya Mate? You look as skinny as a rail and half as tough." The first man said, "I have been working out. Never underestimate your opponent." Bob said. They laughed more. "You are a good talker but how about fighting? Can you hold up to all four of us?" The second man said. "No, not four of you. Two will do, My Wife will take care of the other two." Bob said. They laughed. "I bet she will!" The second one said and the others laughed. Jeanne and Bob looked at each other knowingly. The first two men attacked Bob while he wasn't looking. Bob repelled their attack and flung them across the street in to an alley. Bob went over to finish them off. The other two men went beside Jeanne. She didn't flinch as they came too close to her. "So... when do WE see a little action?" The third one asked. "Do you want it one at a time or both at the same time?" She asked curiously. They whistled and yelled. Jeanne just shook her head. The third man tried to put his arm around her and kiss her. She flung him across the street and in to the same alley as where Bob was. The fourth man was astonished she threw the other man so far, She went over and picked him up by the scruff of the neck and flung him to the same place. She calmly walked over there and drained them both of their blood. Bob had finished the first two when she came over. "Is everything all right My Love?" He asked "Yes, My Love. Just getting rid of bad rubbish." She said. "Tally ho!" He said and they laughed. "Pip, pip, cheerio, and all that other rot!" She said. and they laughed harder. "You will become a nice English lady one of these centuries." He said. "Thank you very much Darling." She said. "You have been getting used to some of it all ready and I can teach you other things." He said. "Ooooo! I was hoping you could teach me some things, And you HAVE!" She said. An Old Fashioned Love "And I hope we can teach each other so many more things." He said. "So do I. And wipe off the blood from your mouth, it's very conspicuous." She said. He wiped it off. "Sorry Sweetheart." He said. They kissed. "Have I told you how much I love you lately? I think I have been remiss in doing so." He said. "Not since last night, But we have been a bit busy." She said. "I will endeavour to make sure I tell you I love you every few minutes. I just can't seem to tell you enough." He said. "And I don't ever want you to stop." She said. "I feel like dancing, Would you like to dance with me?" He asked. "I haven't danced in ages, I'm not sure if I would know how to." She said. "I think we can get a radio or something and dance to the music. I don't know if there are any dance clubs open or if they have the kind of music we want to dance to." He said. "I could do with a nice, slow, close dance. The slower and the closer, the better." She said. He agreed. They left to find a place where they could dance a long slow dance after their meal. Terrance was nearby, but kept well out of sight of them. He saw how they worked together, dispatching that group of hoodlums. He thought that they handled themselves quite nicely. But he was still angry that she chose Bob and not him as who she wanted to be with. For that she had Bob would have to pay....... with their undead lives. Bob had a secret weapon, He didn't tell Jeanne about it because She wouldn't accept it. and it was dangerous. A vampire should not carry one of those even for their own protection but this called for some serious measures and Bob wasn't going to take any risks if he was going to keep Terrance away from Jeanne. It was a permanent solution... for Terrance. She wondered what was wrong. Bob had been quiet since the fight and she was getting concerned. "Are you all right? You seem a bit preoccupied." She said. "Yes, I'm fine. Just thinking about us. Just wondering how lucky I am to have met you. And to be your husband and lover. Even though we aren't technically married, I still feel as we are Husband and wife." He said. "I was a bit surprised that you called me your wife, but I liked it. I liked it very much. You are my lover and my husband and I will never let you go." She said. "I will never let you go. I will fight for you to the bitter end. You have my word on that." He said. "I know Lover. I Know." She said. They kissed. They loved kissing and touching and all the things lovers did. They were very happy. Terrance didn't want to see them happy. He wanted to see them dead for all time. Their lives as vampires was soon coming to an end and he wanted it to be soon. But he would have to bide his time. He had to wait until the right moment. "She has NO right to deny me! I gave her HER existence! I gave her HER calling. I gave her what she is and HOW does she repay me? By making another Vampire and making HIM Her lover. That is NOT satisfactory! That is an insult and I refuse to let them live! They will die a slow and painful death. They will know my wrath and they will beg me for mercy and I will NOT give it to them!" Terrance said. His face became distorted in anger and rage, his eyes grew redder and redder. Daybreak was calling and Bob, Jeanne and Terrance needed the safety of their coffins to rest for the next night. Bob had a feeling something might happen soon. He knew that Terrance couldn't do anything in the daylight so he decided to wait until nightfall and confront him then. He held Jeanne tighter this day, Keeping her so close and safe, where she belonged. That night, they all woke up refreshed. Jeanne loved him holding her all the time they slept. It seemed that he didn't want to let her go. He knew that if he failed that she would not be allowed to survive. He couldn't let that happen. When he and Terrance met again, it would be the last time for Terrance. "You have such a serious look on your face, Didn't you have a good nights.. days sleep?" She asked curiously. "Yes, It was fine, I just have something important on my mind. Something I don't think you'd approve of but it will be a permanent solution." He said. "And what is that??" She asked curiously. "I have a way of getting rid of Terrance but it could backfire. I just don't want anything to happen to you if I do lose." He said. "Then don't lose." She said simply. They smiled. "I'll try not to Sweetheart." He said and kissed her again. He held her so tightly. Tighter than usual. He didn't want to let her go and he didn't want to lose the only thing that he had the desire to live for. She was getting curious as to what the permanent solution was. She knew of only three ways for a vampire to die, and she knew that it wasn't going to be two of the three. So, she surmised it was the stake through the heart. She realized that it was going to be difficult for a vampire to kill another vampire with a stake. It has never been done before. She would stand by Bob in whatever he wanted to do. She loved him that much. She would finish Terrance off if Bob failed. To avenge his death. "Now you are the one that is quiet and has a serious look on your face." Bob said. "What's wrong?" "I agree with your plan but I will be your backup." She said and he started to protest. She stopped him. "I will avenge your death. I will not let him live if he kills you. We are bonded and we always will be." She said. "All right Sweetheart. I know enough not to argue with you." He said. "Good!" She said and winked. "Come on. Lets see what's in store for us tonight." She said and they left the cottage for the wild streets of England. They were on a mission tonight. They had fed enough from the four men last night to satisfy the hunger for a couple of days. They wanted a showdown with Terrance once and for all. They both had a stake with them so if one failed, the other would destroy him. They asked around in various places where he might be and where he might go if anyone saw him. They got a negative response to their question and were turned away from all the places where there went in to. They started to get discouraged about finding Terrance. He was hiding from them and they wanted to have a final meeting with him. Jeanne was thinking that if Terrance had followed her before for all these past centuries, that he would still follow her but that they wouldn't be able to tell when he was there. She had an idea, and they went to an abandoned industrial park. They could be alone and no one would know what went on. "All right Terrance. You have us here and alone. Come out and show yourself. I know you don't give up that easily. Come out so we can discuss what we need to discuss." She said. There was silence for a few moments. "Terrance, appear NOW!" She yelled. He appeared to them in a mist and soon he became solid. "All you had to do was ask nicely My Dear." Terrance said. "I am very disappointed in you. I want to be with you forever and turn against me. VERY bad form." Terrance said. "But I will be civil and give you a second chance. Leave with me now and your lover will live. If you don't he, and, YOU, will die a slow and painful death." Terrance said. "Such a gracious offer, but I am afraid I will have to decline. I would rather die than to be with you. You don't care for me. All you care about is keeping your possessions and I am NOT a possession. I am my own vampire. You made me who I am and I have my own mind. I want to be with my husband and you are not my husband. You are an evil vampire who doesn't care about anyone but himself. And we will destroy you." She said. Terrance mock applauded. "Very moving speech, but, with that refusal, you both will die." Terrance said. "Prepare to meet your fate." He said. "I suggest you do the same." Bob said. Terrance snarled at him and bared his fangs, They both bared their fangs to him as well. "Let us begin!" Terrance said. They started fighting and jumping, They each avoided each others punches and claws. Bob spun out of the way of an attack by Terrance. Bob took out the stake and poised it to stab Terrance in the heart. Terrance saw it and bared his fangs and hissed once more. Jeanne took out her stake and bared it to Terrance's back in case that Bob couldn't get it through his heart in the front. She approached him from the back and Bob had It ready in the front. They both plunged the both stakes in his heart from different angles and he screamed. "Noooooooooooo!!!" Terrance screamed and he disappeared in a cloud of dust. Jeanne and Bob looked at each other. "Great teamwork! And good riddance!" Bob said. She helped him back up. "I love you Darling." She said. "I love you too, Sweetheart." He said and they kissed a long a wonderful kiss. "Come on, Lets go home." He said. She smiled and they left together hand in hand. THE END
