So if you find that it doesn't make sense to you, you ought to go read that one first. A word however, though Yevgeny and Oksana appear in this chapter, it's not specifically about them. They come in for big appearances in later ones. ~sigh~ Sorry for the uh, goofy dialog in this. Just telling you now ... This happens during the middle 1980s, if it's important. For pronunciation: Suhn = Soon, but like you'd say the 'oo' in 'shook'. Raett = Rayt ----------------- "I have an idea," Yevgeny proclaimed the one morning over breakfast. "I would like to take you on a honeymoon, Oksana." She almost dropped her coffee, but after he'd talked of it for a time, she found herself rather excited about it all. "But, what about the lawns and the garden?" They had gotten her a large new gardening tractor the day before and she'd had a lot of fun mowing the acres of lawn there. "We will need someone to tend to it while we are gone," he shrugged, "Though I would hate to have to call the same companies that I used before for this. I only want to go for about two weeks this time," he said. "This time?" Oksana smiled as she tilted her head. Well, I love you so," he said, "I think that I would like to do this every year, perhaps." They decided that for this year, they'd stick rather close to home and go to Tobermory to learn scuba diving. After breakfast, they sat together at his computer learning what they could. ------------------------- Bailey Smith was down and just above out. Almost twenty, she was by her own definition a 'pretty-enough' blonde, though those who knew her found her very likable and "darn cute". It was a description which was almost a guaranteed way to make her smolder. She was pleasant and attractive in her own way, but at five foot-nothing and flyweight, she found it difficult to get anyone to take her seriously. She needed a job. Her folks had turfed her out, mistaking her shyness as a front for slacking and a lack of ambition. Bailey's parents had come to the rather idiotic decision that forcing her out of the nest would make her fly. So far, she'd taken the landing pretty much on her chin. It didn't help her lack of confidence. In fact, it was turning her lack of confidence into more low self-esteem than anything else. She had been living with her boyfriend, who was something of a full-time, professional slacker, working only casual jobs for just about the money which his lifestyle required. It was causing her to want to have less and less to do with him. Bailey had a vague idea and no real plan, but she was walking up the street, asking people if they'd like her to mow their lawns. There was one house left on the street and it was a long way off and not all that far from the town line, but she went. She turned up Yevgeny's drive, headed for the front door. She'd almost gotten to the door when she noticed that the lawn was immaculate and had just been cut and trimmed. Yevgeny sat up in his chair, thinking. He jumped up and walked to the front door. There was a young girl walking away down the drive. She was rather unremarkable from the back, in what she was wearing, but that wasn't what caused him to stare. Bailey had heard the door open, but decided not to bother. "Excuse me, please," the voice said in an Eastern European accent, "May I help you?" Bailey stopped. Wonderful, now she'd have to explain how she'd thought to ask about his lawn and then changed her mind and 'no thank you' wouldn't even be required. She half-turned with her hands jammed into her jeans, not really looking at him, "No, it's ok, sir. I was just going to ask you if you needed your lawn cut when I noticed how well it's cut, so I didn't want to waste your time." "How do you know if it will be cut like this in a few days? It might need it then, and maybe I like to plan ahead." Bailey wondered if the guy was trying to screw with her head. "As it happens," he said, "My girlfriend cuts the lawn and tends the gardens, but we are getting married and going on a holiday, and we need to have things looked after, since the gardens are very important to us. We'd be gone for maybe 3 weeks and we were talking about having one of the larger firms in the area do the work for us. I have a different idea in my mind, but if you keep looking down and watching the ants, we will never have the chance to talk about it. If you need a job as much as your body attitude says, then turn around and we can talk if you have the time." Bailey sighed and turned around. She saw a nice-looking man with a pleasant smile. "I have an idea," he said, "and I need to know if it is the kind of work that you can provide, cutting our lawn and more. Can you look after gardens as well?" "I can weed and I know how to plant and shape flower beds," Bailey said, looking up shyly, "It depends on how big or how many gardens." His dazzling smile almost made her smile along, "Excellent! You see? We have gone from not thinking that I would want my lawn cut to being able to cut the lawn and being a little hopeful of extra business. I am Yevgeny. What is your name please?" He held out his hand, and Bailey hesitated for just a second before turning completely around and walking back to him. She shook his hand, "I'm Bailey Smith." He smiled, looking pleased, "I have the beginnings of a bigger plan in my mind than I had earlier today, Bailey. At first, I was sitting and looking at all of these brochures and quotations for my lawn care. I like none of them for different reasons. I was thinking about going about it in a different way, but that would require a specific person, not a big company. Forgive me, but I wish to ask you, do you like gardens and plants?" She nodded, "Yes, it's something I've always loved to do." "Ah," he said, "but loving it when you do it for yourself and being able to do it as a profession can be another matter. Come, you see my lawn here and the small gardens. Let's go into the back, or better yet, you take a walk back there and look around. What is there is simple and straightforward, I think, but you should see it for yourself. Take a few minutes to walk and think, and I will wait for you in the sun room in the back. What would you like to drink on this hot day, if we are talking business? I am afraid that all that I have is water, coffee, and some soda, but the soda is cold, at least, and the sun room is air conditioned. Or, if you are a bit nervous, we can talk on the back deck. We just need a table so that I can show you what I require." He didn't need to mention it, Bailey thought to herself. He seemed like a nice sort of guy and he was great-looking, but she wasn't sure about going inside. Still, she needed the work, and at least he was giving her more of his time than anybody else had. She just hoped that he wasn't a nutbar. Walking around took her ten minutes. She was surprised at just how long the rear addition to the house turned out to be. It was far longer than the house itself, and that was no little thing, either. The whole time, she was at a loss as to how to turn this into some work. She had no idea how much to ask. She found the table on the back deck and sat down, feeling the trickle of sweat going down her back to soak her bra strap. She looked up and saw a young woman about her own age walking toward her in a tube top and jeans with a lovely smile. Bailey was naturally a bit shy, but she felt a bit better for some reason. "Hi, Bailey" the woman said with a more of the same accent," I'm Oksana and Yevgeny asked me to help you with a business deal between the two of you. He says that you're probably too nervous to come in out of the heat. I'm here to tell you that he doesn't bite, Ok, he doesn't bite anyone other than me, but I get him to play nicely." "Yevgeny is my boyfriend. And you are the famous Bailey Smith, specializingn and garden care. I've heard of you as well -- from Yevgeny. Come, I'll help you get the best deal out of him. He might seem a bit funny, but he is kind of old-fashioned and very polite, and he knows what he wants a lot of the time. It gives him a little trouble sometimes, because people here don't do business the same way that he does." Bailey reached out to grasp the woman's hand and said that she'd be glad of a little help. "But what did you mean when you said that he ... Well how does he do business?" Oksana laughed a little, "He appreciates honesty. He would rather hear that you are not sure than if you lie. Not being sure is nothing that can't be worked out, from his point of view, but lying to him gets you a closed door. Just be honest with him, and you'll do fine." They walked toward the house. "But I don't know how much to ask for." Bailey confided, "I was just going to ask him if I could mow his lawn -- if he had a mower." "That really doesn't matter with Yevgeny," Oksana replied, "Let him lead you where he wants to go. I can already see the little wheels turning in his head. Let him lay what he has in mind in front of you, and just tell him if you think that it's possible or not for you to do it. I'll help you." They sat in the cool sun room. Oksana had gotten Bailey a can of cola, and Yevgeny began, holding a stack of brochures. "Here is my problem, Bailey." He threw down the pile. "Any of these companies will do the work and take as much money as they can get for it. I would have a nice lawn, but I would not be happy. You need a job. It is plain to me. So, let us begin. Do you have a lawn mower?" She shook her head, "I was hoping to use yours." "I don't have one either, but Oksana does. She is starting a company soon, and I think that you might want to get to know her a little, since she will need workers then. Wait a moment." He thought a few things through and looked at her. He reached for a pad of paper. "Can you drive?" "You mean a car? Yes, I have a license." Bailey replied. "Good," Yevgeny said, "We are not thinking about you coming over here and only mowing the lawn. If you could, do you think that you could look after the lawns and the gardens that you have seen and also, one serious garden that is inside -- if you had what you needed? In other words, Bailey, if you had everything that you needed to do it, do you think that you would like that kind of hard work, working with Oksana, but doing that as a living?" "Yes, uh, Yevgeny. I know that I can do it, but I don't have any of that." "That is obvious, Bailey," he smiled, "I knew that from the first look at how your shoulders hung down as you walked away. You see, we need to have everything looked after while we are away, Bailey, but after that, Oksana will begin to think about her company and it will be more than one person can handle. Even during the winter, the indoor garden needs almost full-time care, and having you do some of that will free Oksana for her planning." Bailey sat in a bit of shock. Yevgeny saw right into her and knew what her answer ought to be. She didn't really know it, but he knew that she'd be perfect for this. He'd sensed it as she walked up the walkway. Bailey looked at Oksana, "I don't know what to say. I don't think that I can really answer this." Oksana sat forward with a smile, "Well, alright, Bailey. I think I know what Yevgeny has in mind, though we didn't talk about it before. I think that he just thought of this today. I think that you should say yes. He's very good at reading people, and I think he thinks you're right for what he has in mind. Don't worry about what and when; I can help you with that." Bailey looked down, and thought about all of the jobs that she'd applied to. Nobody had taken her seriously for a single one. "Yes," she said. "I'd want to do that kind of work. Yevgeny. What do I do to begin?" They worked out the details, and after a couple of days where Oksana showed Bailey what would be needed and when for the indoor garden, everything was left in Bailey's care as Yevgeny and Oksana left for their honeymoon. Bailey was a little surprised when Oksana had asked her to be one of the witnesses for their civil ceremony, since they didn't really know many people at all. But she'd already found herself thinking of the pair as almost friends and she was so very thankful for the work. ------------------------ In spite of the warmth of the place, Bailey liked to take her breaks in the indoor garden. The place was a wonderland to her. She'd wander in using her pass card, grab a cold drink out of the little fridge and just enjoy the place for a little while. It always made her feel just a little bit primal when she was in there. After the second day, she thought about that and decided that since she was here all alone, there wouldn't be any harm done if she just went whole hog for a little while too. So she'd make certain that Yevgeny's car was still gone, and then just take her clothes off when she was in the garden. It felt even better to her, wandering around like that. The hard part was going back to work. But she developed a plan. She'd bust her ass getting everything done taking just a couple of really quick breaks and then spend the rest of the afternoon in the garden. She knew that Yevgeny and Oksana wouldn't mind her setting the day up as she saw fit -- as long as everything got done and nothing was missed. She didn't know it at the time, but she wasn't alone there. There was a pair of eyes watching her, careful not to stare long enough for the young woman to feel it. A young ambassador had been sent from Yevgeny's world, and she waited for his return in the garden since it was similar to where they were from and it gave her a natural place to hide. She'd even guessed why he'd created it. From the moment that Bailey showed up for work, those eyes were on the young woman in fascination. As Bailey rode the mower and tended to the flower beds, she watched through the windows, back far enough not to be seen. But her favorite times were when Bailey came inside and wandered the paths nude. She prowled in the thickets and watched, wondering about their differences and similarities. She'd never seen anything like this creature. After a few more days of it, she began to long to touch Bailey, just to see what she might feel like. The object of her attention had no fur other than what was on her head and a bit between her legs and she had no claws either, not that the watcher was looking for a meal or a fight. She just felt drawn to her somehow and it came as a bit of a shock when she realized that her fascination and longing had turned into something like unrequited love. It was even more of a surprise once she'd admitted it to herself, since she'd never been drawn to females of any kind before. But she'd been chosen for this task of being a rather glorified messenger and she was well aware of the reasons. She had no family left after they'd been killed off in a blood feud. She knew that she'd be just as dead, but she'd been on the other side of her world, learning the tasks of her new job at the time. As well, she had no attachments and the thinking was that if something went wrong, it would be the least possible loss to anyone. She knew that she was attractive, but even so, she'd found no male who had held her interest -- and she didn't think that she'd been picky at all. She just saw no point to agreeing to entering into a relationship with a male based on nothing more than what she 'ought' to do. The term 'ambassador' was a hollow one, since there was no diplomatic mission on this world for her. As far as she knew, only one person here really knew anything about her kind at all, though that person was so very important to her kind now. It was the reason why she'd been sent, after all. There had been a few times when Bailey had wondered if she was really alone here, having heard the soft sounds of some vegetation moving very occasionally, but after some thought, she put it down to a frond growing up against another plant and finally having the strength to push past and straighten out. Her mother had a palm tree like that in her living room. All the same, Bailey had spent the better part of an hour the afternoon before looking around, searching for cameras, just in case. She had a little fantasy that she wanted to play out and needed to be sure of her privacy first. Bailey came in the next day and after deciding, she gave in to something that she'd wanted to do for a few days. She walked in during her lunch break and after grabbing a drink, she went directly to a secluded little spot that she'd picked out. After laying out a beach towel, taking off her cut-off shorts and pulling her T-shirt and bra off, she sat down to eat her sandwich quickly, and after a brief internal struggle, she lay back on the low rise of ground and began to pleasure herself. It was wonderful here, she thought. The owner of the eyes almost ruined everything right there, once she realized what was going on before her. She drew back a little deeper into the undergrowth and stared. She could smell the crumbs of food and the drink in the metal container, and then her nose told her what the arousal of this female was like, as faint as it was. She watched for a time, feeling as though she was intruding, but then slowly and carefully brought her own clawed hand back between her knees and eased her body onto her open palm so that she could rock against herself in tiny motions as she watched and listened to Bailey's soft sighs and the very occasional moan. She rocked a bit harder as she saw Bailey's efforts increase, and she guessed that she would reach her peak soon. It was all that she could do to keep her own breath carefully controlled and her mouth clamped shut, though it wasn't what she wanted to do at all when Bailey's pleasure made her cry out. The next three days were filled with anticipation for the creature as she waited for Bailey and then followed her discreetly to the spot. When Bailey was done every time, she just lay there feeling a little spent and happy for a while before getting up to wash her hands, pull on her clothes and drive home. But the ambassador stayed where she had hidden herself after the first time, once she knew what this beautiful creature was doing. She waited until Bailey was gone before creeping out of the bushes to lie in the same spot and complete her own pleasure as she enjoyed Bailey's sweet scent all around her. It was a thrill for her; though she was always just a little sad afterward as she wondered how it might be if there were some interactions between them. As it was, she had to be satisfied with this one-sided crush. It was very pleasant like this, but it wasn't where she longed for it to go. Yevgeny came home one evening and was amazed to meet the young ambassador there in the garden. He listened quickly to her message and nodded when she told that she had instructions to give the full content only to both her king and Oksana, the female that he'd taken for himself. He understood, though he was very surprised that she could come here as he had, and even more surprised when she'd said that she would be able to go back and that he could as well once the whole message had been delivered. But then the ambassador came to a different message -- a quiet request to her king which was made very shyly indeed -- and one that related to her personally. Yevgeny listened with interest and said that he would try. The next day when Bailey arrived, she was a little relieved to see her employer's car, but she was also disappointed at the same time, thinking that her time in her personal wonderland might be coming to an end. As she went to prepare the lawn tractor, Yevgeny called to her and motioned for her to come to the door. By now, Bailey trusted him implicitly and found him both very likable and very attractive. It made Bailey happy to have met and gotten to know the couple. He handed her an envelope and Bailey was almost crestfallen, thinking that this might be it, but he smiled. A Wild Thing in the Darkness Ch. 01 "You will find a cheque for your fine work so far in this envelope, and also something more. Please come this way, Bailey. I have another request for you," he said, looking a little cautious and uncomfortable, though it was obvious that he was doing his best to work through it. "The yards look wonderful," he said, "and please do not stop the work if you can, but I have a slightly different bit of work for you in the inside garden. I hope it will not be too boring for you and I only hope that you do not mind the time." He led her to the garden door. "I do not even know if you can do this work, since I do not know how much of your time is available." Swiping his own card through, he led them inside and motioned her to the picnic table there. Yevgeny went to the little fridge and brought them back cans of cola. "I have refilled the fridge for you," he said sitting down across from her. "I do not know if you can do this extra work for me, but I would appreciate it if you could try. There is actually no physical work to it at all. This is more like baby-sitting, really." "You see, for about a week now, there has been a temporary resident in the indoor garden here. She has been sent to deliver a personal message to Oksana and I. I imagine that when I return with Oksana in about a week or so, then she will return to her home. I have gotten the short form of the message from her, but there is much more to it and she is not allowed to tell everything unless we are both present." Bailey was shocked, "But -- I've come in here every day several times and there's never anyone here but me." She didn't even want to think that if this were all true that she'd been observed. Yevgeny looked a bit more uncomfortable. "Please, I think that you had better hear me out and then decide if you would want this work. I will tell you the background to everything." He sat back a moment, "You know, the way that this will all sound to you, I may as well begin by saying, 'Once upon a time' because it will seem more than a little outlandish, but I will try." As wild as the tale was, Bailey found herself enjoying it, though she really didn't believe much of anything. She figured that if he wanted to waste his gardening dollar by telling her fairytales, it was his business. She did wonder who this 'creature' was that he said had come to earth seeking revenge. "And so," he said, "a young ambassador has been sent to find the traveler and bring him news." Bailey wondered why he'd stopped. What she didn't know was that he'd caught sight of the ambassador peeking at them from the undergrowth. "So, where is she now, Yevgeny?" "Actually, she is here with us now, hiding among the plants." Bailey looked around for a few seconds, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. She almost grinned at having been taken in by his joke, but when she turned back, she saw him looking at her with the same expression as before. He continued. "Not having been here before, she had no idea what to try to look like. Anyway, before you think that I have taken complete leave of my senses, allow me to tell you what I would like. If you can manage it, because I do not know anything about your personal schedule beyond when you work for me here, I would like to ask you if it would be possible for you to either come back after you finish your regular work here, or just stay here for a few more hours, say three or four if it is possible each night." "I will leave the timing up to you. If you find it too much, then cut back on your gardening time to allow you the time later. You do not actually have to do anything other than be here in the garden so that she does not feel too alone. The night lighting comes on when it gets dark, and if you wish, you can remain at this table the whole time and read a novel. She likes to observe you. She has never seen people before." Bailey thought he'd lost his mind for a minute, but then rationalized that it would be easy money. She just needed to clarify a few things for her own safety and comfort. "Are you going to be here then, or will there be anybody else?" she asked. He shook his head. "No. That is why I am asking you to do this for me. Other than the messenger, you will be alone, just as you are in the daytime normally. I will be gone about a week or so with Oksana, and then we will come back here, and this extra work will end, and you go back to gardening." He leaned a little closer. "Bailey, I know that you think that I have gone insane, but it is really as I have told you. You will be alone with her here. Likely, you will be quite bored, though I do not know; she may try to meet you for all that I know. She desires that very much, but is extremely shy. She looks very different to you and I, something like a small, catlike ape with stripes. She has no ulterior motive; you are perfectly safe with her. She only asked me to do this for her because she is fascinated with you. Likely you will not even see her and you can continue to think that I am crazy." He smiled at her and shrugged, "And be well-paid for it." "You may leave at any time you wish, but I would like it if you could stay until when the lighting goes off at midnight or just before, if you wouldn't mind. I have never told you, but at three o'clock, the sprinkler system starts the watering cycle for an hour. Do you think that you can do this for me? I will pay you what I pay for gardening, even if you don't do any, because of these hours for a week, as well, you will find a cheque in the envelope for an extra week's pay, just for this." Bailey laughed a little, "Sure, Yevgeny, I'll do it, though I'm wondering if you really have lost your mind. But I'll call the cops if there's any perverts around or anything fishy like that." "Agreed," he said, "there is no reason that you should have to sacrifice your own safety and comfort. If there are ... perverts around, I WANT you to call the police. She will have no idea that she may be in danger as well. One more thing, I am to tell you that if you wish to meet her, and you think that you can prepare yourself for a bit of a shock, I would say, .... Well you see this bowl of peaches on the table here. If you wish her to show herself, then begin to eat one of the peaches after the night-lighting has come on, not before, though I cannot guarantee that she will come to you and show herself then. I am only passing on her request to me. She herself told me that she did not know if she would have the courage to show herself." "If she does come to you, then you need have no fear of her. She does not know English, other than a very few words, but I am to say that she thinks that you are very beautiful from the time that you have been in here with her, though you did not know it." He saw her expression and held up his hands, "I am only telling you what I was asked to say to you. Bailey, I did not know that you had been in here then. She has told me of it and I guess that all I can say is that this garden was created for pleasure. I have even done that myself often here, if it makes you feel any better. Oksana and I come here to make love often as well. That is what it is for. I am happy if someone enjoys it this much. It says to me that I have created beauty, no?" "Are there cameras in here?" Bailey was about to get upset. He shook his head, "Absolutely not, Bailey. I have been thinking of installing some, but only for the outside of the building. Never for in here. As I have said, Oksana and I come here to make love often. We have no wish for there to be cameras." "Then you couldn't have known what I did. There have to be cameras." "No," he shook his head, "but a lovely creature saw you and thought it was wonderful, what you did. She told me this. She did the same as she watched you, and she told me that she even used the same spot after you had gone. Listen very carefully now." He said something which Bailey couldn't understand. Alter a moment; Bailey heard a short gasp, and a soft, quiet laugh, as though someone was trying to stifle their laughter. Bailey turned to him with wide eyes. "She is here, Bailey, but she is very shy. I made her laugh just now by saying that you didn't believe me and think that there are cameras. Now, will you do this for me?" "She won't hurt me, or, can she hurt me?" "Well, I suppose that she could, but I cannot imagine why she would want to," Yevgeny said, "She thinks that you are wondrous. I do not know how much luck you may have with the peaches to get her to come out of hiding, so I have put frozen dinners in the icebox of the fridge. You may have an easier time if you make yourself something to eat with the microwave oven there. The smell may draw her and then you both have something to wonder over together. It is only an idea, and it is up to you, obviously. If you try this however, she will not come out of hiding until dark in any case. If you see her at all, you will understand why then. No matter if she felt brave enough -- and she doesn't at this point - she comes from a darker place and this light is too bright for her eyes so she stays in the darkness of the plants." "There are plastic utensils in packets on the bench. Anyway, I must leave. You are welcome to stay, Bailey, as you always are. You can spend the night if you wish as well. She will not leave here, I don't think. So after you have finished for the night, reading or whatever you do, you can use the guest room to sleep if you wish." He got up to go, "I hope that you have an enjoyable time, whether you meet each other or not." "Wait, Yevgeny," Bailey said, not really sure about this now that she knew that she wouldn't be alone, "she really won't hurt me? What's her name?" "Not at all," he said, "If you were to find a beautiful butterfly or little raccoon, would your first wish be to harm it in any way? Her name is Suhn, the shortest form, anyway. The full thing would be impossible for you to say, I think." He leaned in and spoke a little softer, "If you find that you need it, you can try to call her Suhn-Raett. 'Raet' is a diminutive suffix most often used for young ones or often between lovers or it can be used to express hopeful friendship. It is sure to catch her attention if nothing else does. Here," he pulled a pen from his shirt pocket and wrote the names out on her envelope. "She is like you, female and very near to your size, though her features are different and she hopes that you will not find her too ugly, being as lovely as she sees you to be. In fact," he looked at her warmly, "please forgive me for saying this, and I would never say it if you didn't know that she really is here - otherwise you would think that I am a pervert, but -- I can tell you that other than the thrill and honor of meeting you if it happens, she desires to be able to touch your skin. She has short soft fur, you see. He winked and then he was gone before Bailey had gotten over the shock of hearing him say it. Bailey looked at the heavy vegetation and wondered for a minute. She had a thought to ask Yevgeny how he knew so much of the strange story that he'd told her. She ran out after him, but his car had already backed out onto the street, and he dropped it into forward and drove off without looking back at the house, so he missed her wave. Bailey didn't really know what to do now. Suhn-Raet had been nervous but hopeful until Yevgeny left and the female ran after him. She was thinking that she had refused to stay with her. It made her a little sad, but she knew that something such as she'd asked would likely not be possible anyway. What made her sadder was that if she'd been told that she'd been observed as she pleasured herself, then it was fairly certain that she'd never have the privilege of ever watching it again. She turned to slink into the undergrowth and head for the coolness of the pond. Baiely looked through the two bookshelves of novels, selecting a few to read. She hoped that it was all that would happen. With three in hand, she walked back to the garden door and swiped her card through the reader. Suhn-Raett heard the door open and began to cautiously move in that direction. As she got closer, she knew that Bailey had come back and felt much better. She crawled the last little bit so that she could see. The female was sitting at the table. She knew that she was reading, her kind had texts as well at one time. She watched her take a sip from one of the metal containers. She'd looked at them before, but couldn't open one and had put it back since she thought that the only other way to get it open would have been to destroy it. She'd smelled the liquid before from an empty container and had wondered about it. She lay on the earth and observed with her chin on the back of one hand. She took in details like Bailey's legs and arms. It wasn't what she'd have liked to do, but she guessed that it was all that she'd see now so she tried to content herself with it. She was careful to look away if Bailey showed the slightest sign that she might feel that she was being watched. It went on for an hour. Bailey's eyes were moving, but she wasn't really reading at all. She would have liked to be reading, but the thought that she wasn't alone here kept intruding on her concentration. After spending twenty minutes reading the same long paragraph over and over and still not getting it, she put the book down. She looked around. "Hello?" she called out softly. This felt so weird, she thought. "I know that you're shy. I'm not all that brave myself, I guess." She didn't know what else to say and wiped the sweat from her brow with her hand. Bailey was nervous and had to admit to being just a little excited as well, but she had no idea what this creature looked like, unless this was some strange joke or something that Yevgeny had come up with. Then again, she didn't know him to be anything other than straightforward and above-board in any dealing that she'd had with him. He'd also been great to her as an employer so far, along with Oksana. She couldn't imagine him doing something to cause her harm or embarrassment. The truth be told, she admitted to herself, if she was here alone for a whole week, she'd much prefer to be naked here. The thought kept crossing her mind, but after finding out that someone or something had been watching her every time, there was no way she was going to do that again. "Well, I'm really curious now, though I don't really believe all that stuff I've been told. I wish that I could see you for a minute, but he says that if I see you at all, it'll only be after dark." She looked at the sky outside. It would be hours yet before sundown. She sighed. Hours to read something which didn't interest her. Hours to sweat here in the heat. Bailey decided that she was thirsty and swallowed a bit more of her soda, but suddenly had a thought. Maybe this 'mysterious creature' might be thirsty as well. She went to the fridge and got out another can. Then she walked to the front edge of the vegetation carrying it. As she got really close, she thought that she heard a very quiet rustling there which stopped almost instantly. She thought about it and smiled, "So you really are here. It's ok, I don't want to hurt you or anything and I'm a little nervous about you too. But I thought that you might like something cold to drink, so I'm going to leave this just at the edge of the plants, and then I'll take a little walk to let you decide." She dropped down into a crouch and placed the can carefully. Stepping back, she began to walk slowly away, headed for one of the paths. Suhn-Raett had seen the motion that Bailey had used to open the can earlier, but from her low vantage point, she still didn't get it. She reached out to take the can since she wanted to encourage Bailey to some degree. She struggled with it, and her long nail slipped off the tab and caused it to make a loud click. She froze. Bailey heard the springy sound clearly and was encouraged, but she also realized at that moment that perhaps there was some trouble and didn't know what to do. She didn't want to run right over there. It would only alarm someone who was supposed to be very shy. So she walked back to the front of the room and didn't look back until she was at the table again. When she did turn her head in that direction, she heard another rustle in the plants and the can rolled to stop against the bordering with a clunk. Bailey grabbed another can and two of the disposable plastic glasses and after glancing at the envelope to remind herself, she walked to the plants again. "I didn't think about it," she said, "I'm sorry. If you've never had one of these before, then I guess that you wouldn't know how to open it." She took a deep breath and knelt very close to the darkness. Setting down the glasses, she pointed to the tab and explained what to do as she did it. When the can hissed, she heard a small gasp, and tried to look in that direction. She didn't really see anything. She picked up one of the glasses and began to pour very carefully. "I'll split one with you if you like, "she smiled. Setting the plastic glass aside, she poured the rest of the can into the other glass and took a sip. Then, deciding to go for broke here; she picked up the first glass and held it out, just inside the edge of the vegetation. "Here. This one's for you." There was no response. Bailey tried again and reached just a little further. "Suhn-Raett? Here. See if you like this." Suhn-Raett was surprised, but she knew this for what it was. The female was trying to offer her a chance. She drew up her own courage and hoped for the best as she reached out very slowly to take the glass, and prayed that her ugliness didn't frighten this creature. Bailey was about to give up and take back her hand, but then she saw a little movement. "Suhn-Raett? Don't be afraid." She stared as some very long and wicked-looking claws began to reach out. Suhn-Raett saw the eyes widen and realized that her claws were extended. She hadn't seen anything like that on this female, and looking at her hand there, she was sure that she had nothing like that, and so she must be on the edge of fear of her. Suhn-Raett retracted her claws, but not too quickly. She thought that her best chance was to be calm and slow here. When her claws were fully in, there were no sharp points on her fingertips, but they were just visible and then she reached out a little more. Bailey watched the claws move back, but was nervous, and it was obvious to Suhn-Raett, so before this failed completely, she opened her mouth. "Bail-lee?" she said softly. Bailey tore her gaze from the claws and looked for the source of the sound. The voice sounded a little childlike and very sweet. Bailey nodded and tried to smile, though she still couldn't make anything out. Suhn-Raett tried to avoid touching the hand there, and she almost managed it too. Bailey felt the cup being grasped slowly and prepared to release her hold when their fingers touched and to the surprise of them both, they just froze as they both gasped. Bailey looked at the hand. It didn't look that vicious now, though compared to her own hand, it was rather elongated. She looked ahead again and smiled at the face she still couldn't see. "Suhn-Raett, I'm going to let go now, ok?" Suhn-Raett knew what the 'ok' meant, but didn't know what was meant in this context, but once Bailey's hand began to let go, she felt the weight of the glass and took it. Bailey moved her hand away, and picked up her own glass to take a sip while keeping her eyes on the darkness. She lowered her glass and smiled. Suhn-Raett saw it and began to draw back her hand. As she brought the glass nearer, she could hear the fizz of the beverage, and cautiously raised it to her lips. There was a bit of an unfamiliar little sting to the bubbles there, but she dipped her tongue into is and then tasted. After a moment, she sipped a little. The bubbles felt odd in her mouth but she swallowed and then liked the strange taste enough for another try. When she looked up, she saw Bailey staring at her with her mouth open. A Wild Thing in the Darkness Ch. 01 Bailey had been able to follow the whitish plastic up with her eyes, and as soon as Suhn-Raett had taken her sip, Bailey was able to put some definition to what she saw in the darkness there. She didn't know what to think now, but she did see two large eyes with vertical slits, something like the eyes of a cat. Suhn-Raett tried desperately to find some words in her very limited grasp of the speech here before this turned to a missed chance. "Bail-lee? Not scared, Bail-lee. Please ... not scared Suhn-Raett." Bailey was astounded. She sat back slowly and pointed to herself. "Not scared, Suhn-Raett." Then she thought about it and held up her hand with a small space between her thumb and forefinger wanting to make herself understood, "Small scared, Suhn-Raett." The small short sound which came to Bailey was one of understanding and acknowledgment, "Hah. Suhn-Raett small scared Bail-lee." It made Bailey smile and nod. Bailey took another sip and set her plastic glass down. She held up her hand and pointed to it. "Hand," she said, and then leaned forward reaching a little. She tried to reach to where she thought the edge of the plants were, not the dividing line as it was, but where she thought Suhn-Raett might be comfortable and where she could still see, "Hand?" Nothing happened for a moment and then she saw Suhn-Raett's hand reach for hers and they touched again. Bailey grinned now, and she heard Suhn-Raett giggle a little. Suhn-Raett felt Bailey's hand all over, sliding her fingertips lightly over the skin in fascination for a moment before releasing it to hold her own hand steady. "Hand," she said, to indicate that Bailey could explore her hand as well. They ended up just sitting and holding hands for several minutes as Bailey slid her thumb lightly over Suhn-Raett's short fur. On the whole, she was pleased that they had at least some words between them. She thought that Suhn-Raett must be pretty intelligent to have picked up at least something, and she didn't mind this bit of Tarzan-speak at all. This was interesting and fun. It beat reading novels all to hell, she thought. She got a little braver as she felt Suhn-Raett's thumb doing the same thing as hers was. "Suhn-Raett see Bailey, yes?" She saw a little nod from the motion of the eyes. "Yes." "Bailey see Suhn-Raett? Small?" It was the best that she could come up with. She didn't want to stretch the link too far. The hand was withdrawn. "No, Bail-lee. Please, no." Bailey didn't want to blow this now. "Hand, Suhn-Raett. Please? Hand?" She felt Suhn-Raett's hand in hers again after a moment and sighed with a smile. "Why, Suhn-Raett?" It took a few seconds. "Suhn-Raett small scared Bail-lee. Suhn-Raett big scared Bail-lee scared Suhn-Raett. Suhn-Raett ugly." Bailey had to work through it for a second, but she got it. This was going to get really awkward, she thought. She shook her head and began another round of Tarzan-speak. "Bailey not scared Suhn-Raett now." She took another sip of her cola. She indicated their hands with her other one, "Bailey like this. Bailey like Suhn-Raett." She saw the white plastic of the glass move as Suhn-Raett took a sip. In that moment, Bailey got more of a picture of the outline of Suhn-Raett's head and face, though it was still very vague. The glass was set down again. "Like? You like Suhn-Raett?" Bailey smiled and nodded firmly, "I like Suhn-Raett." That small sound came to her again, and Bailey began to see that it was a tiny exclamation of understanding or of accepting information or a fact. "Hah." It took Bailey over five minutes to get the idea across that an upheld palm was a sign to wait. She took her hand back and slowly moved herself closer. Her knees were inside the dividing line of vegetation now and she wondered where she'd gotten this courage from. She reached out a little, "Hand." Bailey took Suhn-Raett's hand and pulled it to her face, letting the fingers touch her there. Suhn-Raett gasped, but didn't want to miss the opportunity. She slid her fingers over Bailey's face and after a minute or so, Bailey reached for the hand again and led the fingers to her long blonde hair. It was worth a big gasp from Suhn-Raett. Bailey reached her other hand toward Suhn-Raett's upper arm. While Suhn-Raett had been fascinated, Bailey had finally gotten more of a glimpse and liked what she saw. She found a shoulder, and then reached to touch the side of the short snout and the soft cheek. "Bailey likes Suhn-Raett." Bailey smiled and nodded. She didn't want her companion to come to the realization that Bailey could see her a lot better now with shock, so she took Suhn-Raett's hand from her own cheek and kissed it. Suhn-Raett's eyes grew even larger, but Bailey kept her smile going. She kissed the hand again, "Suhn-Raett not ugly. Suhn-Raett pretty. Beautiful." "What is beyoo-" "Beautiful, Suhn-Raett. BIG pretty." Suhn-Raett gasped, and Bailey giggled at her. "Suhn-Raett BIG pretty." She laughed a little and Suhn-Raett couldn't stop her own chuckle. Bailey found that she liked her new friend's long teeth for some reason as she reached for the long black mane and smiled, "Nice hair, Suhn-Raett." Suhn-Raett looked amazed and stared a little, "Suhn-Raett not ugly?" "No," Bailey laughed, "Suhn-Raett big pretty." There was a low grumble between them and Suhn-Raett looked embarrassed. Bailey touched her own stomach, "Are you hungry? Suhn-Raett hungry?" The dark one looked apologetic, but she nodded. Bailey held up her hand, "Suhn-Raett wait." She got up, walked to the fridge, and pulled out her lunch. She found paper plates and dug in her bag, coming up with the camping cutlery that she always carried to work. She had to make the motion, but she saw Suhn-Raett's eyes nodding that she knew what they were for. Bailey came back to her with some potato and egg salad and a sandwich on each plate and looked at Suhn-Raett. It took her a second, but Bailey was careful to sound decisive in her tone. "Bailey want to sit with you, Suhn-Raett. We eat." Suhn-Raett was astounded as Bailey handed her one of the plates and then sat down next to her among the plants, pausing to push a frond out of her face. She handed Suhn-Raett the spoon, figuring that it would be the best bet. Suhn-Raett stared a little at Bailey's legs and wondered how she could sit like this with her legs crossed. Bailey caught it and smiled up at Suhn-Raett, "My legs are different. Here, "she changed her position to match Suhn-Raett's. They squatted next to each other. From the very first time that she was in this garden and thinking herself to be all alone in this wonderful place, Bailey had felt just a little like a wild thing in here. Now, Bailey had a fleeting thought where she saw the two of them as a pair of wild girls in this place and she found that it was a nice one to hold in her mind. Suhn-Raett watched Bailey as she ate and got the drift right away. A few testing tastes and she declared that she liked the food and began to eat. Bailey was confused, but she was happy all the same. What she could make out of the other girl really appealed to her and she found her fear and uncertainty falling from her quickly. She thought about it, and asked a question. The answer surprised the hell out of her, once Suhn-Raett had carefully composed her reply. "Yevgeny is like Suhn-Raett." Bailey's eyes opened wider at this, and her companion allowed her time to think it through for a few moments as she watched the human girl carefully to judge the effect of her words. "Hides like ... Bailey". Bailey took this to mean that her employer had a way to appear human and Bailey thought that if that was even the slightest bit true, then it explained a lot. "Suhn-Raett eyes not -- ready for light," she pointed to the rest of the room. "Suhn-Raett stays in dark in day. Suhn-Raett cannot hide yet, not know how." With her hand and its motions, Suhn-Raett continued, "Yevgeny is king Suhn-Raett, but gone long time. Oksana is new queen Suhn-Raett. Suhn-Raett tells Yevgeny he can come home." Bailey had a bit of difficulty with all of it. "Suhn-Raett," she said, "Yevgeny is your king?" The dark face nodded, "Great king. Save many people." Bailey struggled with it, since Suhn-Raett lacked the ability to elaborate better. "Oksana is your queen?" Suhn-Raett nodded, "Yes. Oksana new queen. With queen, Yevgeny can come home. We want this. Want king back." She smiled and looked at Bailey, "Oksana start like Bailey. Not like ..." she motioned to herself, "Suhn-Raett. Yevgeny make Oksana like us. She want this. The people see and want king back now. People always want Yevgeny, but ... Yevgeny with no queen." She shook her head, "King must have queen. People see. Already love Oksana. Oksana not know." Bailey gave up for the moment, and noticed that Suhn-Raett was looking at her a little nervously. She smiled, "Bailey see Suhn-Raett now." She nodded, "Suhn-Raett beautiful." It made Suhn-Raett grin shyly. "Bailey beey -- " She gave it up and settled, "Bailey big pretty Suhn-Raett." She nodded and feeling more confident now, she put her arm around Bailey, "Th-ank... Suhn-Raett want say thank-s Bail-lee." Bailey was sweating in the damp heat, but she was happy and a little relieved to find that Suhn-Raett was no hulking animal. As the moments went by, she found herself feeling that this was all a little surreal, but she did like the dark one sitting next to her as they ate a little more. Suhn-Raett noticed a bead of sweat on Bailey's face over the end of her eyebrow and reached for it to wipe it away with the back of her hand. The droplet ran into her fur and she took her hand back and sniffed for a moment. Bailey watched as Suhn-Raett's tongue tasted the bit of moisture before the pair smiled at each other. When they were both finished eating, Bailey took everything away and asked if she should bring more soda. Suhn-Raett nodded with a smile, but when Bailey returned, the dark creature was gone. She looked around and called softly. "Here, Bail-ee," the answer came to her, "Suhn-Raett see Bail-ee hot. Better place here. Not hot. Bail-ee come?" The human had absolutely no visual reference at all. She was astounded. From the sound, Suhn-Raett wasn't very far off at all, but she couldn't see anything of her in the plants. She walked along what she took to be the nearest of the paths to where she'd heard the sound. In a few seconds, she heard the soft sounds of swishing in the plants beside her and with a look, she saw her companion walking on all-fours there next to her, not far off at all. Bailey was taken by the way that Suhn-Raett looked so perfect, for the little that she could see of her, so adapted to slinking through the undergrowth like this. It brought to mind her earlier little imagining and she wished that she could do this in just the same way, so she said it and the other one stopped to look at her for a moment. "Bail-ee cannot?" "No," she shrugged and gestured downward with one of the cans of soda, "My legs. I think that all I can do like that is crawl." Suhn-Raett looked over blankly, so Bailey set the cans down and moved a little on her hands and knees. Suhn-Raett got it and nodded, "Bail-ee still big pretty Suhn-Raett, "she said with a little grin and Bailey chuckled as she got to her feet to retrieve the sodas. She followed along unto they were in the part of things not far off at all from the pond and the coolness of the water pervaded the air around them. Bailey felt it immediately and she smiled. But when she turned around, she saw just where she was in the garden. There through just a little of the vegetation was the place where she'd lain on her blanket and masturbated. She struggled with the memory for a moment and then she heard Suhn-Raett doing her best to explain that she would have warned Bailey the very first time, but she was so shocked, and the next five and a half-minutes were spent in trying to get the idea across that Suhn-Raett had been stuck then. She was a stranger here and had been terrified to make a sound. Bailey was ashamed, but she still had to ask, "But Suhn-Raett like Bailey?" she asked, "Even ... " she moved her hand, almost wanting to close her eyes in the shame that she felt. Suhn-Raett's eyes went so huge as she nodded emphatically, "Yes! Very like! Suhn-Raett make ... "she made the same motion before she nodded again a little slower, "Big like Bail-ee." She motioned for Bailey to set down the cans and then she scowled for a moment, "Suhn-Raett not like talk, this... talk." Bailey didn't get it, but her friend here was about done with feeling foolish over how she spoke and she knew a better way, but she also knew that it was going to require a large measure of trust on Bailey's part. She looked up, still in her crouch, "Suhn-Raett want talk better Bail-ee. Bail-ee not scared Suhn-Raett?" "No," the blonde replied, "Not scared Suhn-Raett now. Want see Suh-Raett more, but,..." She shook her head emphatically enough to cause her hair to fly a little, "not scared." The dark one nodded, "Suhn-Raett want see Bail-ee more, but ... " she reached out and touched the lower edge of Bailey's cut-offs, "Not this." She looked up, "Suhn-Raett see Bail-ee now, not this, then Bail-ee can see Suhn-Raett if want." Bailey though about it quickly. While she didn't think that it was completely fair, since the other one had seen likely all of her on a few occasions, she was also aware that her new friend was painfully shy, and as well, she knew that she was being given an opportunity here to see all of a creature which held her a little spellbound in her fascination. She nodded, beginning to pull her T-shirt over her head. Suhn-Raett stared up from where she crouched in the deep shadows as Bailey reached to undo her bra with an uncertain glance. She knelt on one knee and then the other as she removed her workboots and then she giggled a little over the way that Suhn-Raett stared at her toes when she wiggled them. Finally, she pulled her cut-offs down and stepped out of them and, seeing the look of wonder in her friend's eyes, she peeled off her thong and laid it onto the rest of the small pile. "There, Suhn-Raett. All of Bailey." She was about to ask if she could have her turn to see, but her words failed her as Suhn-Raett began to stand up straight very slowly and uncertainly. "All of Suhn-Raett," she whispered in answer. Bailey took one and a half steps back and she bent forward a little in her wonder, her mouth falling open slowly as she did. Suhn-Raett stood on her clawed feet on what looked to be impossibly long legs as she took one careful step forward into a spot with just a little more light out of consideration for Bailey's eyes. Bailey looked from her toes to the tips of her ears seeing everything in one glance before she allowed her eyes to seek out the details, the long lean sides and the darker stripes on her almost black fur, the gentle swells of her smallish breasts and the first full sight of the most beautiful creature that she'd ever seen. "Oh, Suhn-Raett," she gasped, "You're beautiful." "Not ugly, no?" The dark one asked as she turned around a little quickly and Bailey saw the dark tail and her sweet backside. Bailey shook her head in wonder, "Bailey so happy meet Suhn-Raett." She took one step very slowly and reached out because she couldn't help herself, "Can I ... Bailey can ...?" Suhn-Raett didn't need to reply. She couldn't anyway and they found each other in the dim light of an artificially wild place, two young females whose fascination over each other transcended a lot of things in a moment as they embraced. "Suhn-Raett want Bail-ee not scared now. Suhn-Raett want Bail-ee stay. Be still, Bail-ee?" Bailey nodded, lost in the feeling of the short, warm, and very pleasant-smelling fur against her, though she drew her head back to look into the cat's-eyes after a moment. Suhn-Raett began to slowly reach up until she held Bailey's face in her hands. "Suhn-Raett need learn Bail-ee talk." Bailey found herself lost in those eyes, but she nodded slowly and Suhn-Raett kept her eyes on Bailey's eyes as she tilted her head down and stretched up on her toes a little so that she could rest her forehead against Bailey's. Bailey didn't feel much, but Suhn-Raett sure did, moaning softly twice and not for more than a half-second as many things about her friend came to her in a few moments. She learned enough to know that Bailey had been very unhappy recently, but that she now felt a lot better, now that she'd ditched her layabout boyfriend. She learned that Bailey had much the same fascination over Suhn-Raet as she herself carried for Bailey. Not that the dark one had ever felt anything like a proud beauty before in her life up to this point, but she now felt very humbled to learn of just how lovely she was to the blonde. It was a bit of a moment for her, and then she felt just a little proud of herself -- because she'd also learned that there was something in Bailey's heart that wanted hers very close to it. It was something which she'd even searched for on occasion, but had never found for herself in her life. Now, here, it was in the beautiful creature who held her tightly. She supposed that it was possible, but she was still so astounded that it could even be there, given how foreign their kinds were to each other. But she was so very happy to know this now as many more things about the blonde came to her. She pulled her face away a few moments later and she smiled into Bailey's even more shocked visage then as she summoned up her courage to speak. "What did you see in me, Bailey?" The blonde blinked twice. "You can speak, Suhn-Raett," she gasped, "You can talk like me!" The dark one nodded, "It is a way to learn, but it doesn't work on just anybody. I just saw that we're pretty much the same in our heads, I guess. Do you like it? We can talk about anything, now that I know how." She sighed, "And I can finally say your name the right way." "Like it?" Bailey laughed, "I can't think of the ten thousand things that I've wanted to ask you all day. Oh, um, ... How come Oksana and Yevgeny talk with an accent and you don't?" Suhn-Raett smiled, "When my king came here, he learned a different language first, and I guess that it flavors how he sounds when he speaks English. Oksana has her accent because she was a human and was born in that place. Now she speaks with an accent because she's here. I don't have an accent to your ears because I learned to speak from you. It's not perfect, and I will still have trouble and maybe a little bit of an accent, but you can correct me and I won't mind. I'm just happy that I have a vocabulary now. the other way was too hard." "But, ...you sound like me - at least I think that's what I sound like, a little different maybe," Bailey said. Suhn-Raett chuckled, "Bailey, how else can I sound? You're the only one that I've had for a model. You taught me when we touched. Am I saying things wrong?" "No," Bailey said, shaking her head, you sound just right. Suhn-Raett leaned in a little and looked up, seeking in herself for even more courage now, "Forgive me if you don't like this or if it's wrong to you. I've wanted to try this ever since I first saw you." Bailey's eyes opened wide as she found herself in a long kiss with Suhn-Raett, but when it was over, she laid her head onto the dark fur of her shoulder and sighed, "That was awesome. I've never ... I've never really kissed another girl. Thank you." Suhn-Raett laughed sweetly, "Neither have I, but I really liked that." As they stood there still holding each other, Bailey listened to the words spoken in whispers into her ear, "Bailey, my name, ... Suhn-Raett is what my mother and father called me when I was a kitten. You can call me that if you want to, but it's a little too ... cute for an adult. A Wild Thing in the Darkness Ch. 01 Unless we're friends who are very close and even then, it's only spoken in private moments, my name is Suhn. Will that be alright?" Bailey lifted her head and they looked at each other for a moment before she spoke. "I understand," she said, "and I like Suhn better as a name for you." She looked around for a moment, "but we're here and it's pretty private, Suhn. I might be stuck in a habit or something, you never know." Suhn smiled and to Bailey, it was a thrill to see. "Do you want to know more about me?" she asked as she let Bailey go. Seeing the nod, Suhn sank down onto her knees. "Then do like me, beautiful Bailey. Kneel down here with me so that we can learn more and not have to worry about falling down. We still might, but I'm sure it won't be important then" Bailey knelt down carefully and in another moment, they leaned into each other, hugging tightly with their heads together again. Bailey learned in an instant that her private little desire was shared and encouraged. She was shocked for a moment and then she just knew that like this, they had a way to pass feelings between them. Bailey knew even before it happened when Suhn's hand reached for her own sex and began, just because this all felt so good to her. Seeing Suhn's eyes closed for a few moments at a time was all the inducement that Bailey needed to see and she lifted her own right hand from Suhn's shoulder to reach for herself. Suhn tried to apologize, but Bailey stopped her. "I've never done this before either with somebody else around, but I can't help it either right now." Her eyes opened wider for only a moment before they drifted closed again when she felt Suhn's hand carefully brush hers aside to begin to seek for ways to give her smooth-skinned friend a little pleasure. Bailey managed to hold off reciprocating for only seconds and the pair knelt together sighing and groaning before the feeling overcame Bailey and she opened her eyes, wanting to look at Suhn a little more. The dark and fur-covered face before here looked lost in its reverie, but it was more than Bailey could stand right then. She pulled her face back and as Suhn opened her eyes to look, Bailey rose up on her knees a little higher and placed them wider apart and leaving one hand buried between the dark thighs, she seized Suhn's mane in her grasp and she kissed her savagely, putting all of her sudden need into it. The response was instant and every bit as uncertain as her attack had been. The two of them gasped and groaned as their kisses became more frantic with Bailey moaning out loud from the way that Suhn's teeth felt against her cheeks. She was sure that she felt her wetness running over her lower lips. The way that this felt, she'd have been amazed if she found that she wasn't in the process of leaving a small puddle underneath her. Suhn was in no better shape in it. She felt the slickness of Bailey's opening and she loved the rather primal sounds that they were making quietly in this place. As well, the wet sounds from what they were doing to each other were getting to her even more. She couldn't help herself as she felt her hips buck a little. Bailey lost her for a moment, but then Suhn whimpered when she felt those thin fingers find her again. Bailey cried out a little and her hips thrusted forward once as Suhn found her fingertips too far back and caressing nothing, but she tilted her hand and her middle finger found Bailey's little anus. That brought an instant result as well, but Suhn went back to her earlier toy and in a few moments, they leaned on each other because that needed to as they tried to get their hearts to stop pounding. ---------------------- "I don't want to get in there," Bailey said, deliberately trying to sound like a little girl as she looked at the lily pads and the aquatic plants of the pond out past where her legs disappeared into it. "Fish live in there, you know." Suhn looked over and tilted her head, "Fish. You mean the little things in here which are now trying to see if your toes might taste good? I wonder the same thing, Bailey." The blonde was about to pull her feet out, but Suhn laid her arm across them as she looked up, "Next, you'll tell me that they also ..." she searched for the word, "pee in here as well." "Well they do," Bailey nodded, "They do it all the time, and every time that I've looked in here, I've seen tons of the little buggers." She thought for a second, "And actually, there are a couple in here who aren't really all that little, either." Suhn sighed, "They are koi, I think they're called. They're just goldfish, only bigger cousins. I'm sure they're more nervous about you." She reached up and Bailey felt the cool wetness of Suhn's palm on her cheek, "What do you want them to do? Flop out over to pee against a tree? They have to pee in here, but there are the huge filters there, Bailey. Come on. All that I smell in here is the pleasantness of a healthy pond." Bailey shook her head, "I still don't want to get in." "Look over there!" Suhn hissed, "Two of them are ... " "Are what?" Bailey asked a little nervously, "Are they gonna come over here? Are they big ones or what?" "Some of the bigger ones," Suhn said peering over across the distance, "I think they're .... " she looked over with a shrug and began to poke one index finger in and out of the ring that she made with her other fist. Bailey's jaw dropped, "They're fucking? You mean there's a couple of fish fucking in here?" She sat up straighter and leaned in the direction that Suhn was looking in. But Suhn moved then and Bailey squeaked a little when she fell in and Suhn was waiting for her when she emerged sputtering. She kissed Bailey and then laughed a little as she lifted the strand of waterplant from the blonde's hair. "I was kidding, there weren't any of them doing that. I guess they must, though, at some point." Bailey looked over and smoothed her long blonde hair out of her face, "Christ, I'll bet they do, too. That's just ... ewww." But she found herself in Suhn's arms and she felt better for the hug and the kisses which followed. "I was just play-acting a little. A hell of a gardener I'd be if I got grossed out over the same things that make this place so natural in the first place. Even so," she looked over a little nervously, "please tell me that that's your fingers that I feel, ok?" Suhn held her expression to one of surprise then and she shook her head as she held up her hands out of the water. She wondered how long it might take Bailey to think of her tail. Bailey jumped and tried to scramble out, but Suhn's hands found her thighs and held on. As Bailey tried to fight her off with a shrieking giggle, she froze when she felt something warm and friendly slip between her buns. She lowered her head and sighed as she enjoyed what that tongue was doing to her. ------------------------- Bailey stepped over to the microwave as it beeped out five times to signal that its cycle was done. She pulled the protective film all the way off and discarded it before she brought the meal over to the table. "Come on, Suhn," she called, "There are only the dim nightlights on now -- the same as there's been for the last three hours. I've managed to get this cooked and over here so we can eat, and I did it in like total darkness for my eyes just for you. You've gotta get used to being out of the forest some time. I've been outside here at night when the nightlighting is on. You can't see a thing in here at all. Come on and eat with me. Please?" Bailey heard the rustling in the plants and she looked over to see Suhn come to her on all-fours, slinking along -- a dark shape in a dark place. Bailey was sure that had she not had the time to get to know Suhn and if this had been her first look at her, her heart might have locked up in fear. As it was, her heart locked up over something else now as she watched the some of the most erotic motions from the world's most exotic girl. As Suhn got to her feet to sit next to Bailey, she asked why her friend sat shaking her head. "I can't help it," she smiled, "This morning I'd have sworn on my life that I've never had the thought of doing anything with another girl. That was before I saw the sexiest thing on legs -- two OR four legs. Now, in a single day, you've turned me into -" "A wild thing like me," Suhn grinned as she leaned against Bailey a little, "I would never have had the thought before I saw the lovely creature who came here to pleasure herself right in front of me every day. In one day, I have done everything that I think can be done between two females of our two kinds. I have never had such a day." "Are you guys always like this?" Bailey asked as she held out the plastic cutlery. Suhn shook her head. "No, we live in homes on streets as you do. But something like sex is not looked down on there. There are places where couples go if they wish for a little play with their lovers. Wilder little places so that they do not have to travel far to the forests. I am sure that this garden is what Yevgeny wanted so that he could feel at home in a bit of ... jungle, I think the word is here. And the way that he made it to be like this just brings the want of it out in us -- and you, now that I know." She looked down, "This is good, Bailey." Her new lover smirked, "If you think this is good, then I'm sure that I've got a few surprises for you, Suhn." She looked over at the clock on the microwave. "We've only got a little while left before the lights go out. I know that you'll be fine with that, but I think I know a place that I'd want to be in total darkness with you tonight. I'm not going home, not after this." Suhn looked over quizzically and Bailey smiled, "Yevgeny told me that I can sleep in the guest room, so that's where I'm gonna sleep. The only question to my mind is- " "Then that is where I want to be as well," Suhn said around her plastic fork, "You make all of these sounds to me about how I am so good for you and the way that you like to look at me." She smirked again as she cut a piece of meat, "You thought that you were alone when you came here before. Well, you were not alone, Bailey. Not then, not now, and if it is up to me ... " "Well let's hurry up through this culinary masterpiece then, " Bailey smiled, "I don't want to be very far from you tonight either, and just so you know, the way that we're sitting right here is too far." ---------------------- They spent a very happy night together and the next morning, Suhn cleaned up the garden inside while Bailey cut the lawns and weeded. They had a bit of a late lunch together and then Suhn grinned as Bailey threw her clothing off. She stood in surprise looking at the clothing. Bailey herself was gone into the thick growth. She thought about that as she watched the fronds and huge leaves begin to settle back against each other and then she knew what Bailey had in mind. Suhn sank to all fours and began to slink back into the shadows. Her nose told her a lot, but she made sure to stretch this out all the same. The only thing that she didn't want to happen was that it took too long. This was very nice, she thought, but she didn't want Bailey to grow bored. Bailey sat hunkered down in the darkest shadows that she knew of there, trying not to squirm or move at all. They'd had some time to talk and from what she'd learned, Suhn's kind had been predators once upon a long time ago and the nature of it had never left them. She listened as she heard fronds being moved aside to allow the almost silent passage of something. She looked over the nearest leaves to her and she could see the rise of Suhn's shoulders as she slunk back in the opposite direction with absolutely no sound at all. She thought about it. So, first she went one way so that I could hear her, and now she goes back in silence. She looked around and saw a small clump of the almost black soil and she picked it up. Seeing two others not quite as large, she grabbed them too and threw them in another direction, one after the other in a line -- as though something was moving out there, before she sat back with a smirk on her face. Suhn froze as she heard it and she thought for a moment while she resisted the urge to dash off. She smiled to herself as she worked through it. She was hunting something which had thumbs and fingers. Really nice fingers too, for the things that could be done to her with them, she thought. Then she replayed her memory of the sounds and knew that they'd fallen in an overall arc, curved outward, since they'd been little things tossed from one place. It might be that Bailey had run that way, but not without her noticing that there had been none of the soft footfalls which she'd have just had to have made. Suhn loved Bailey's feet, but she just had to be louder when she ran or even walked with them and though they weren't large, those wonderful thighs just couldn't slip through vegetation the way that hers were made for it. She began to grin then. An arc. She thought about it and slipped away in the direction of where she supposed the center of that arc must be. In a moment, Suhn found herself with a problem. She wondered what Bailey expected from her in this. Was it supposed to be a gentle pounce and struggle or what? She didn't know, but almost all of her field of view from where she crouched was taken up by the profile of one of Bailey's breasts. She eased forward a couple of millimetres and ducked back just as Bailey's hand came around to scratch the tickle slightly. Suhn did it again and it was the third time before Bailey actually looked for the cause and saw the eyes which regarded her from the spaces of the foliage. Bailey rolled her eyes and laughed a little, "I don't suppose that I ever really had a chance, did I?" "Not really," Suhn whispered as she began to move slowly out of the cover, "but I don't know how you wanted this to end." Bailey laid back as the snout began to move lower and come forward, "I didn't want anything to end. I wanted you to hunt me, since I don't feel afraid of you and it makes me ... well, you know." "I know," Suhn sighed, breathing in the nicest scent as her lips came closer. Her whiskers were already into Bailey's pubic hair from this direction. As her tongue reached across the very small distance, to begin, Bailey sighed and reached to stroke an ear, "Do what you want, Suhn. You won fair and square." ------------------------- "What were the beginnings of your kind like?" Suhn asked as she caressed the back of the blonde head at her breast. "Not too much different from us now, I'd guess," Bailey replied, "just hairier and maybe a bit smarter than me about getting by without attracting too much attention ." "You have some ability," Suhn smiled, "But you face something a little closer to the wildness than you, I suppose. Maybe your kind has lost this." "We have, mostly," Bailey nodded, "Most of us haven't got a clue. I wish I did though. I love moving through this place with you, just as quiet as can be." -------------------- The next night, they both stepped outside into the darkness; Suhn the way that she was, and Bailey almost that way for a naked human girl in a pair of workboots. They stayed out for about an hour and it was a lot of fun sneaking around like that. The next night, they stayed out longer and the next, they crept from one end of the town to the other and then back. But Bailey decided that they'd better stop there. She was aware that sooner or later, somebody might catch a glimpse and that was one thing, but they'd had to elude a dog and until they lost him, she'd had real fears over what Suhn would do if the hound caught them. They hadn't really eluded the dog all that much. Rather, it was their luck to have found a slightly brighter dog who'd taken one good look at Suhn's eyes and teeth and that was the last that they saw of the dog. ---------------- Bailey had a sudden disturbing thought come to her. She tried to dispel it, but it wouldn't go away. After a time, she lifted her head from between Suhn's thighs and looked up. She saw the long dark body which she now absolutely knew that she didn't want to be without in her life for even a day. Suhn's cat's-eyes were looking back regarding her. "I'm sorry," Bailey said, "I just ... from what you said, then we've only got a day or so more, Suhn and ..." Suhn nodded and reached for the blonde human who held her heart now, "Come here." Suhn rolled Bailey over onto her back and eased herself against her. When it felt right, Bailey wrapped her legs around Suhn and they began to hump slowly and weep.
