Anyway enjoy the repeating, vinyl sound and please vote and comment. Thanks! Emeraldfae *********** The annoying squeaking of tennis shoes echoed down the hospital corridor as a young nurse ran to room 303. Her dark hair bounced softly around her shoulders held there by excess hairspray, small feet skidded as she stopped abruptly in front of a stereotypical brown door. The nurses heavy panting was drown out by a sharp wail of a woman. Her hands pushed the door in and rushed to help the doctor with the laboring woman, blood was splattered across the bed and pallid scrubs of the doctor. When the door slammed against the wall, the body of the doctor flashed around, the nurse swallowed; this wasn't the doctor that she knew. Black hair cascaded down his back in blue-black ripples, orange colored eyes rubbed against her soul and a scream bubbled up in her throat. The overly beautiful face sneered at her fear and his rough voice barked, "Get your ass over here and help with the birth of my mate!" The nurse's horror struck eyes landed on the pale woman as she writhed in pain on the bed. Whimpers and pants filled the room along with the smell of blood. The nurse managed to ask, "What's wrong with her?" The man turned back to the woman on the bed with a look of disgust, "This human body is not strong enough for the birthing of my beloved Eden. Now if we have to, we will cut her out." With that both the man and the nurse went to work. Nobody disturbed them and the worked until a small, wiggling baby girl was held in blood soaked hands. The nurse saw that the poor mother was dead from blood loss. Her small hand pulled the covers over the body and stepped away from her. She couldn't help but think that the woman was better off. Her brown eyes' were drawn to the man and was surprised to see love and relief, wash over his chiseled face. The girl just lay in his arms, quietly staring back at him. He bent over and placed his lips on her four head in a touch of pure love. His orange eyes landed on the dead woman covered with the sheet and then the nurse. "Feel privileged that I have let you live after this," he growled, "I need someone to care for Eden, since she is too small and fragile to take with me. I require you to take her and raise her. Do you understand?" The nurse shook her head, yes she understood. The man smiled showing white teeth that looked sharper then daggers. "Tell me your name human." "Brigit." the short, curt voice stated. "Alright Brigit, now two more things. This child will be raised in your care, but she is not human. She is my mate and is a half blood demon. Understand so far?" The small dark head nodded yes again, she had no choice but to understand, either that or be killed. "Good, now I do not want her around human males. She is mine and I intend on taking her as mine the moment she turns eighteen. She is not to be around anyone that I do not specifically give permission." With that last statement, he walked toward her and grabbed her arm and a black mark appeared on her wrist, "That is so you may contact me if you have any questions about Eden, anything else and I will dispose of you. You may not marry, date, or so much as bring the smell of another male near her. If you do, you will be killed." His gruff voice hit her ears with an echo and the child was placed in her arms tenderly. Brigit looked up from the child and found that the man was gone and so was the bloody body that had lain on the bed. It was like a dream, slowly fading from her mind but the child confirmed that it was not. Her hands were stiff as she washed the child and as Eden started to cry, the black mark on her wrist burned horribly. "Shush baby, it's just a bath." the child quieted and the burning in her arm was relieved. A soft blanket appeared beside Brigit and she wrapped the orange and black blanket around the baby girl and walked out of the hospital without a backward glance. ********** Asmodeus looked through the portal watching the human named Brigit carry his beloved away from him. Anger and longing filled his heart at the thought of waiting eighteen long years for Eden. Masculine laughter echoed through the darkened chamber, Amon stepped through solid rock into his room. "Looks like someone has problems with a female." his deep voice laughed. "I'm not in the mood Amon; go away before I rip that blond hair out of your scalp." Asmodeus growled as he lifted a glass of French wine to his mouth. A light smack on the back of the head, knocking the nearly black liquid over his robes. "Damn it! That was a good glass of wine!" "You my friend need to go and have some fun with a Succubus before you settle down with your pretty mate." Amon grunted as he settled his long body into a straight backed chair, "What's the fun of being single if you can't enjoy it?" "I don't want a shitty succubus, they put out for everyone. I want her!" he said jerking his finger to a painting on his wall. Amon's blue eyes ran over the painting taking in the curvy woman that graced the canvas. Blue eyes landed back on Asmodeus' orange ones, "My friend it had been over four-thousand years since you saw her in your visions, and it won't take long for another eighteen to pass." A deep sigh echoed through the room, "I know, but she was destined to be mine. I could feel her spirit the moment I was created." "I know my friend." with that Amon faded away and left his dearest friend agonized over his beloved woman. ******* 18 years later: "Eden!" a shrill voice yelled. A sigh broke through the lips of a pretty eighteen year old. Her mother was calling her from down stairs and she was just getting to the good part in her book. She stood up and walked over a moss green carpet to her door and yelled down the stairs. "What!" "I need you to come down stairs for a minute, I've got a surprise for you!" her mother voice called. "Alright, I'll be right there." Eden yelled back. She slipped on her favorite green flip flops and walked back out the door. Her slender feet walked silently down the hardwood stairs and stepped into the living room. They were not rich people and her mother did not work a job, but they did have enough money that they could live comfortably. Eden even had a little spending money to go along with it. She crossed the smooth floor of the cream colored living room and walked into the kitchen where her mother was. Brigit had aged harshly in the last eighteen years, dark brown hair was now steel grey, a straight back was a stooped as a crones. Demon magic seemed to have drained the life out of her. Brigit turned at the sound of Eden's footsteps and a smile cracked her hard features. "Hey mom, what's the surprise? I thought we had already exchanged gifts for today?" Eden said as she smiled. Something silently died in Brigit's eyes, she sighed loudly and ground between her teeth, "I have one more gift for you, this is from someone you will know very soon, and he requested that I give it to you as a gift." A confused look crossed Eden's face as a large package was nearly thrown into her arms. "You said "he"? I don't know any boys, who is this from?" "I can not tell you, it's forbidden." With that Brigit basically ran out of the room to get away from her. She frowned at the rapidly disappearing back her mother, sighing she walked forward to the small island that sat in the middle of the kitchen, and laid the package on the white linoleum top. The shiny orange wrapping sparkled under her finger tips like molten fire. The moment her hand sat it down, the wrapping fell away as if it had a remote control. Eden stared at the package as if it was a snake. She watched it closely for several seconds and determined it wasn't going to move she made to open the gift. The cardboard flaps easily lifted and revealed more orange paper. This time the paper didn't move, Eden's excitement got the better of her and she ripped the paper out of the box revealing another black, velvet box beneath. Her ivory colored hand lifted the long box from the paper and took a deep breath. A spicy musk emanated from the velvet box that sent chills down her spine. She flicked the clasp and lifted the lid, Eden expected to see jewelry or maybe even some sort of perfume, but instead a large black feather with an orange border lay in a bed of black velvet. Perplexed eyes roamed the feather and her curiosity got the better of her. 'this is so unusual' Eden thought, 'what does it mean' as her thoughts spun out of control she ran one finger along the edge of the inky feather. A cry of pain escaped from her mouth as the edge cut through her skin like butter. Her eyes watched the feather slowly float to the floor and knew it had to heavier then that to cut her finger. "Eden? Are you alright?" her mother called from her room. "Yeah, I'm fine. Stumped my toe on the counter." the lie slipped easily through her lips as she picked up her weird gift. A shrug graced her shoulders; she would put it away and look at it tonight. She carried it gingerly to her room and placed it on her dresser. Her book called her back to the world of evil demons, maidens, and princes. Her mind flew away from her world into another. Her gift undisturbed, but not forgotten, laid silently waiting till nightfall. ******* Asmodeus watched her with happiness. She got her gift. The moment she touched it he could see her clearly in his head. He felt every little feeling and heard the very thoughts in her head. He searched her mind and nearly laughed, she was attracted to his scent. He was very pleased; she was everything he had hoped. The woman Brigit, had done well with his mate, he needed to remember to give her youth back to her when he made Eden his tonight. Elation bubbled up in his chest as he watched her. He saw her reading a book and studied her features. Short brown hair waved to her shoulders, a smooth four head sloped into a straight nose and tapered down to kissable lips. She was identical to the painting on his wall. Asmodeus had painted that from his visions that he had since youth. Always yearning for her, needing her by his side. He was pulled from his thoughts as she rose from the chair by her window and start shedding her clothing. He realized she was getting ready for a shower, his eyes glazed over in lust as he got a glimpse of her young body. Perky wasn't the correct word, a Succubus would die for a body such as this. He felt heat pool below his belt, as his eyes darken in his lust for her. Orange eyes ranged down her back and lingered on her slightly larger then average derriere, it was as if she was made for him. He heard a chuckle and he made the image disappear. His brother Amon was once again laughing at his need for Eden. "Finally get to see her uh?" He heard Asmodeus hiss, "Leave! I must have everything ready for her arrival tonight." "Well isn't that nice, I had a couple of girls for us to go and play with for a while. Shame you're tied up." Amon boomed out. A loud growl whipped through the room, just as a large granite statue smashed against the wall where Amon stood three seconds earlier. Asmodeus clapped his hands and four brimstone imps appeared in front of him. Their black, skeletal bodies wavered slightly in the scorching heat they just came from. They bowed in unison as asked in quiet voices, "What may we do for you, oh prince of demons?" "I'm going to need clothing, human food, and some rope." Asmodeus stated with an evil grin. The imps disappeared and the Prince of Demons waited patiently till it was time. *************** Eden sighed as she stepped out of the shower into the steaming room. At the moment she was wishing for a tub where she could lean back and just relax for an hour. She slipped her favorite t-shirt on and wiped the mirror with her hand. Nothing to be pleased about except her eyes. The greenish gold color was pleasing. But everything else could be better. Another sigh came from her pouty lips, why couldn't she be born with better looks. Eden turned away from the mirror and walked into her room. She surveyed it, and found it clean enough. Her green carpet was spotless and everything was put away. Her body plopped down on her bright green comforter, 'this was heaven' she thought. A cool breeze blew across her thighs from the open window and made her shiver. It crossed her mind to close it but decided she liked it better open. The scent of honey suckle floated in, intoxicating her senses. Another sent caught her attention, it was the spicy musk she had smelled earlier with the gift. It was very faint but noticeable. Eden stood slowly and walked to her white dresser and stared at the feather that laid there. Nothing moved, she couldn't help but reach forward to touch it. Before her finger brushed it she heard a cough behind her. Eden's scream was heard around the house as she whirled to see a man standing in her window. He leaned lazily against the frame with an arrogance that made her bristle. "Who the hell are you?" Eden stuttered out in surprise. Her hazel eyes glowed more gold as her fear took hold. "I'm the one who sent you that feather, my dear." Eden's eyes glanced down at it and back up to the man that was mostly in shadow. Asmodeus saw her confusion; he knew she couldn't see his face and that scared her. So he obliged and step off the window seal and into the room. Her gasp of surprise was loud in both of their ears. Eden's eyes widened, He was beautiful, more then beautiful, and he was perfect. Ink colored hair cascaded down his back in ripples and it reflected blue highlights. Fiery, orange eyes bored into hers as she studied him. A straight, aquiline nose stood out proudly and slopped down into lush lips that every girl dreamed about. He saw her staring at his mouth and he smiled, flashing sharp teeth at Eden. She blushed and looked away, not entirely comfortable with the direction her thoughts were taking. Suddenly she remembered that a man was in her room, and she looked around panicked, out of the corner of her eye she could see him sliding slowly closer to her. Eden gasped and yelled, "Stay away, I'm not suppose to have people in my room!" He snickered, "My dear Eden, I'm the one who came up with that rule. I wanted you to stay pure, you see." Eden backed into her dresser and held her hands up to see if she could stop him from moving forward, "Yeah right, you're just a crazy guy that crawled trough my window!" In a blink of an eye he had her pressed up against her dresser with his black clad chest against hers. "We're two stories up and you can't climb up when there isn't anything to climb on." His eyes were staring into hers and she was acutely aware that she had very few cloths on. She placed her hands on his chest to push him away but the moment she laid her hands on him a sharp pain ran up her arms. Eden watched in amazement as black ropes swirled up her forearms, "What's going on!" Eden squeaked. No answer came from Asmodeus, he watched as his marks spiraled around her and fade into her light skin as if they'd never been seen. Tears ran down Eden's face, who was this man that had her pinned against her dresser? Why couldn't he just leave? Her eyes closed and she heard the voice of her mother screech at the beautiful man that held her captive. "What the hell are you doing? This wasn't part of the bargain!" Eden's eyes flew open and she gasped, "Bargain? What bargain? Did you sell me to this man?" Brigit had the gall to look ashamed, "No, I never sold you to him. He claimed you as a child." Eden could not break her eyes away from him, even with the disgust she felt. He must have seen the hate in her eyes for he sighed, "Don't hate me; you were born to be mine." "I was not born to be anyone's, let alone yours. I wouldn't pick you if you were the last person on earth!" in her anger Eden didn't realize what she said. A gasp came from her mother and the lights started to flicker ominously, a growl moved through the room. Eden watched as the man in front of her morphed from a god to an alien creature before her eyes. Black, granite-like skin appeared with scales and ivory horns ran down his spine. Eden writhed in fear as the beast tightened his grip on her; he bellowed in her face, "YES, YOU ARE MINE!" "No I'm not!" she cried, but her voice was so much smaller that it didn't make a difference at all to the giant that held her. Talons fisted in her sleep shirt and then she was being dragged to the window. "Mother stop him!" Brigit knew better then to do anything, she was just a poor human in face of a demon, what could she do? Hes thoughts flew from place to place, searching for an answer. Something glimmered in the back of her mind but she didn't voice it out loud. When she made no move to stop him Asmodeus smiled and wave his huge paw towards her, "I give you back what I have taken over the years." With that the Prince of Demons stepped out Eden's window and was gone. The night was quiet, no screams, no Eden. Brigit stood there in surprise and saw herself in the mirror of the dresser. Her back was straight and she was young again. All the years he had taken from her were back. Then it crashed in her mind that she just gave up a girl to a demon. What could she do? She ran out of the room and down the hall, her body crashed into the lock door at the end of the hallway. Eden had never been allowed in because of the danger but Brigit had collected every piece of knowledge and lore on demons and angels and every other creature that she could over the years and she knew precisely what she had to do. The heavy, padlocked door swung open with a squeak and a small room greeted her eyes. Candles, old tomes, and chalk presented themselves and she went to work. After a couple minutes she was chanting an ancient verse, Brigit didn't dare call another demon or even an angel as they both were fickle creatures know to switch their alliances. No what she needed was a hunter. The candles flickered and the room seemed to grow smaller, she chanted louder. Over and over, and faster till the words bled into themselves. Her heart beat was like a drum; suddenly she dropped the book, pulled out a knife and slit her palm, dripping black blood onto the pages. The lights then went out entirely and a creak was heard, then another. Brigit knew she had summoned it. Suddenly its voice crackled in the darkness, "Whom shall I hunt mistress?" "Asmodeus, Prince of Demons. Bring the girl he has snatched back to me." "It shall be done, but what price will you give me?" the darkness asked. "Anything." Brigit spit out, her eyes widened the moment she said the words. "I like the terms human, I want you." his voice hissed and Brigit screamed for she had just let a hunter out and now it was without a master. That was the last thing she thought as she felt her limbs ripped from her as she was devoured. Seconds later the darkness rolled in on itself, and yellow eyes glowed from the darkness, this was its time. To be continued.... A New Eden Ch. 02 Thanks for the votes and comments everyone!! Much appreciated. As always hope you like the story, the vinyl sounds seems to have turned into a full blown screeching! Xoxo Emeraldfae ******** Asmodeus watched Eden from across the room; she had passed out from his flare of magic and was now lying in his bed. She looked slightly angelic lying there on the spider silk sheets. He made sure the enchantments were holding, keeping creatures out of his private quarters, he felt the snap of the shield and knew that it held true. A low moan sounded and drew his mind away from his own thoughts, his brilliant orange eyes clashed with her hazel ones. He smirked, she had fire in her, this would be much more fun since she did. He studied her face and could see her questions beneath the surface and also the distrust. "What the hell are you looking at asshole?" Eden yelled across the room. She tried to get up but she noticed that a rope was tied around her wrist. It chafed her skin as she pulled on it, testing its strength. "I wouldn't do that Eden." Asmodeus barked, "Those ropes are made from demon hair, the more you pull, the more it will burn." Eden gave him a look that should have had him writhing on the floor in pain, "Mind your own business." "You are my business, my dear." "I am NOT your business, I am my own person. I do not belong to you." She ground out between her teeth. Eden's eyes scanned the room for a door and couldn't find any, it seemed as though she was in a huge cave that had all the luxuries that you could think of. Her attention was drawn back to the man as he started towards her, panic clawed its way up her stomach. "Who are you?" Eden blurted out in her nervousness. He looked slightly hurt when she asked that. A cough was sounded and she was rewarded with a gentle smile, "I am Asmodeus, Prince of Demons, and General of 15 legions of Hades" 'Oh god, he's crazy and he's going to kill me!' Eden screamed in her mind. "STOP!" his voice roared out. Eden went completely still as she saw huge black wings expand from his back, his voice was little more then a hiss, "I am your other half, to deny me is to deny part of you. Should I claim you as the male species of my race usually claims a female?" She heard the threat in his voice but couldn't help but challenge him, "I doubt you could claim a female, with your manners they probably run screaming from you!" Eden's scream filled the air as Asmodeus jumped to the bed; he was no longer human looking. Ivory talons ripped the bed sheets as he crawled to her, his wings stretched out ominously. "Stay away, you....you overgrown, mutant turkey!" Eden screeched Asmodeus paused, that was the most innocent term he had ever been called. His look of surprised changed to mirth as his wings disappeared and he began laughing, "Mutant turkey? Seriously?" "Hey! I wouldn't be laughing, that was supposed to be an insult!" "I know Love, but a turkey?" "That's all I could think of bastard." she growled Asmodeus went to pounce on her but was stopped by the deep voice of his long time friend, "You shouldn't tie a lady to your bed, Ash." Eden couldn't believe her eyes, a blonde god was standing at the foot of the bed staring right at her, she heard cussing and turned to see Asmodeus stepping off the bed. "I put spells all around my rooms, how the hell did you get in here?" "Your spells are shoddy my friend, and besides I wanted to see your new mate. She's just a slip of a girl isn't she?" Amon boomed as he laughed. Eden snapped out, "Are all demons arrogant pricks that like to insult women?" "Spit fire too, nice job Ash." The blond giant turned away and walked to a black marble box and began looking through it. Asmodeus walked over and began to untie Eden, the rope went slack and she sat up rubbing her wrist. "Why does he call you Ash?" "My name is a bit of a mouthful, Ash is just easier to say and pronounce." He explained as he walked away from her. "Amon, walk with me for awhile, Eden needs to explore the rooms." Amon straighten up away from the box, pulling a red bottle from it, "Don't worry, if he doesn't want you I'll take you." He winked as he disappeared through solid rock. Eden sighed; she didn't even feel like crying. After sitting there for what felt like an eternity she got up to explore. Maybe she could find a bathroom or something, did demons need a bathroom. "Don't ask me, I haven't got a clue." Eden said to herself, oh great not only was she taken by a demon turkey, she was also talking to herself. Things just keep getting better. Her bare feet padded quietly around, the floors giving off a soft heat that kept her toes warm. She opened what looked to be a door and saw it was a huge closet. She shut it and saw another door across the room. Nearly running, she skidded and lightly hit the door, it creaked open and Eden grunted, finally a bathroom. ********* "Ash why did you tie her to your bed?" Amon snorted. The friends were walking down a black marble corridor listening to their voices echo off the walls. "I didn't want her to run." Ash ground out, "She isn't the best tempered." A large hand gripped his shoulder and jerked him to a halt. Ash met his friend's azure eyes. "You won't ever have her in a good mood if you keep her locked up, let her explore the world with you there beside her." Amon said quietly "What would you know of it? You have never had a mate, so mind your own business." Ash snarled and jerked from Amon's grip. "Stop being so prissy, I'm trying to help you, not hinder you." "I don't need your help with MY mate!" The marble cracked as Amon slammed Ash into it, "You are acting like a spoiled brat, you have a mate now, it is your duty to protect her and care for her needs. If you can't do it, I will see that the council hears of it." Inky wings flared around Ash's body and swiped at his brother, a screeching filled the space as platinum wings grated on sable. Amon backhanded his brother across the face and disappeared in a small, flash of light. Ash screamed in rage and smashed his metal wing into the floor, cutting groves in the hard material. 'Damn him, why does he have to tell me what to do! I'm four thousand years old!' he thought for a minute and then finally sighed, 'maybe he was right.' "Meantal, get your ass here now!" he shouted into the ceiling "No need to shout my lord." a small toad-like creature grimaced, appearing to his left. Ash snorted, "Arrange an outing for Eden and me. I want her to see my home. Make sure that we can get to the springs." Meantal bowed low and vanished with a smirk. ********* A blue-black shadow rolled around the house as a banging could be heard upstairs. A tall slender man was throwing books and candles off the shelves in his disgust. Long, boney hands grabbed each tome and leafed through them silently. One finger landed on a spell to summon an archangel. This should be interesting, he smirked. He placed the book on a small table and started collecting ingredients. He wanted to laugh, oh people thought angels were beings of light and goodness, but they'd kill you if you didn't give them what they wanted. He lit exactly one-hundred candles and placed a necklace of Eden's on the floor in front of him. It was a good thing that he had something the angels wanted. No chanting or breathing filled the room; he just gathered his power and stated what he wanted. Suddenly the one, small window cracked and the wooden table split down the middle, gold eyes searched the room and found a slight quiver in the air. "Show yourself Angel!" he barked A cold laugh tingled down his spine, "What's the matter Hunter, can't find anyone to kill?" Standing before the hunter was a powerful celestial being, granted he was snarling but it still counted. "Torian, you better have a magnificent gift for me, or I'm going to tear your fucking head off and feed it to a dragon." Torian sneered, "Azer you know that you don't have access to the dragons." The angel had the gall to roll his eyes, "No, but I know people who do." "Good thing I have a gift for you then, see that necklace at your feet?" Torian said as he pointed. Azer nodded and picked it up, his nostrils flared at the power he felt zing up his arm. "Whose jewelry is this?" "Some girl that I was ordered to kill, but I've got better things to do." Torian stated as he threw the book on the floor, "I figured if you help me start a war then I'll let you have the half-blood bastard child of Alastor." "Of all that's holy! You're bullshitting. Alastor is a tormentor demon; he wouldn't of father a child on a human!" Azer yelled throwing the necklace at Torian, it hit the wall to the side of him and buried through it. "Why the hell do you have to throw things?" Torian growled, "and I wouldn't lie about this. I need a war, the feelings of hatred and fear are getting weak and I am not summoned enough to help." Azer thought for a moment, if he started war then he could have this girl and she could give him a powerful sway over hell and give him strong progeny. Finally after rubbing his hand through his bright, red hair he grimaced, "Where is she now?" "She's with Asmodeus; he wants to claim her as his mate. I figured you'd want her before he brings her into heat." "Good point; female demons are serious trouble when they're like that. Alright I'll help you, but I want the girl first." Torian smiled and threw him a spell to the portal in hell, "Try not to kill too many people, I need some to suck dry." Azer flashed him a look from his black eyes and vanished, all he had to do now was wait. ************ Eden sat down on the elaborate toilet and put her head in her hands, this was not going to end well for her. She studied the floor, it was red tile that seemed to have a warmth seeping out of it, nothing was normal here. Suddenly a small face was peering up at her from between her legs. "Oh my god!" Eden shrieked as she fell sideways of the toilet lid, "What the shit?" She watched a small lizard-like creature skitter across the floor away from her; it seemed to be sucking on the floor. "Eden?!" Ash's voice yelled through the door, "What's wrong?" A deep breath filled her lungs, "Some freaky thing just tried crawling up my legs and now it's eating the floor." Male laughter came through the door, "That is a cleaning demon; it eats dirt and other unsavory things." Eden huffed, "Well tell it to eat somewhere else and not in the bathroom!" "Can't, they go where they want. Will you come out so we can talk?" Eden got to her feet and padded over to the door and opened it, "Yes lets....talk. Since you seem so articulate." "You don't have to insult me Eden; do you blame me for taking you?" "I'm not going to answer that, because that is obviously a rhetorical question." the bed dipped as Eden sat down on the edge, her hands balling in the black sheets. Ash grunted as a pain shot through his head, something just hit his shield. He shook his head and sat down beside his mate. "Eden I just want you to be happy. I've even made arrangements so we can explore your new home together." Ash pleaded A smile graced Eden's lips, he couldn't pull off the puppy dog eyes, he was too feral looking, "I would enjoy an outing if you wouldn't be so arrogant as to not consult me first before you made them!" A snarl contorted his face, "Damn it woman, I'm trying to be kind and not chain you in my room like my instincts are telling me too." "Well then you're just like all the rest of the stupid domineering men that tries to control people. I want no part of it." she jumped of the bed and started to walk away from him, "I think I'll go and see if I can find a way out, now leave me alone." Rage filled Ash as he watched her sway away from him, his wings grew from his back and arched, "Don't walk away from me." Before she could blink he was standing in front of her looking like an avenging angel, his wings flared and trembling slightly. She felt her own wrath build and she bared her teeth at him, "Don't tell me what to do." His black hair stirred slightly as both wings crashed into the floor on either side of her, the light of the room blinked out and all she could see was him. White hands shot out and wrapped around her body pulling Eden towards him. "I'm done talking Eden, I will show you how much I've longed for you, I've waited four-thousand years for this, and I won't wait any longer." His lips crushed on hers and Eden jerked in surprise, what the hell was he doing. A hot tongue brushed gently across her lips and nudged them apart. She opened them and Ash slipped quickly in and rubbed against her tongue. Eden moaned as his scent assaulted her mouth and nose, her hands came up and wrapped around his neck. This must be heaven, she thought with a giggle. His hands cupped her butt and lifted Eden's body up against his, when they connected she wrapped her legs around his waist and threw more into the kiss. Lips, teeth, and tongue clashing, hands roaming around bodies, a delirium was clouding the mind of Eden. No thought crossed her mind other then to have him everywhere. They stood there, moving only to please each other; it was Ash that broke the kiss first. He watched her face and nearly dropped her. Eden was no longer human, small golden wings fluttered against her shoulder blades and searing gold pools looked straight at him. "Oh shit." he whispered, he did drop her then. Eden landed lightly on her feet and frowned, "What's wrong with you, why are you looking at me like that?" "Eden, don't move one step closer, don't even breathe" "What is it?" her voice went up an octave at the sound of his fear. "Y...you...you have wings." he stuttered "What?" Eden asked as she turned her head to look, sure enough tiny gold wings fluttered against her back. She looked back to Ash in horror, "What am I?" "I don't know, you're only half demon, you shouldn't have wings." Her hands touched the appendages gently, they were hard as steel and had a hollow ring when tapped. "Why are they so small? Is it because they're new?" "I'm not sure I will try to find someone that can tell me something about it." Ash stated quietly as another twinge in his head threw his slightly off balance, he really needed to check the perimeter. "Love, you've been awake for nearly twenty-four hours, you need sleep." Eden had to agree with him, the exhaustion see to overwhelm her and she felt her wings disappear as she wobbled to the bed, her body collapsed on it and was nearly asleep when she whispered, "Don't call me Love" Ash ran a long finger down her cheek and smiled, "Why not when I truly do love you." but she didn't hear the words, she was already asleep. *********** Eden awoke warm and comfortable; she stretched her body and heard the bones crack. I need some exercise, she thought to herself. The black covers were thrown back and she scooted out of the tangled mess of blankets. Eden noticed were Ash slept during the night and furrowed her brows, it was strangely comforting. "Hello?" Eden called out as she brushed her hair out of her face. Nobody answered, so she decided to get up and take a shower. After a couple minutes she found some clothing that seemed to be her size, but there wasn't any underwear to be seen. She rolled her eyes, just like men not to think of bras and the like. Hopefully nobody would notice that she wasn't wearing anything. Hazel eyes peeped in the bathroom looking for anymore cleaning demons and thankfully didn't see any. Shedding the one t-shirt that she had she stepped into the hot spray of the water. The rivulets relaxed her more then anything, and let her mind concentrate on cleaning. Her hands found a weird black soap; she squirted some in her hand and found that it made lots of bubbles. Rubbing some into her hair, Eden started to hum an old melody from her childhood. It echoed sweetly through the bathroom and into the bedroom catching the attention of her new found mate. If she could have seen his grin, it would have been one of pure mischief. Enchanted with her own voice she started to sing at the top of her lungs, ignoring the high notes she cracked on. Ash winced, now that wasn't pleasant. He tiptoed up to her making sure to stay behind her line of vision. She hit another high note and he couldn't take it anymore, he whispered a word and the hot water went icy all at once. Her scream and curses had him laughing so hard he could barely breathe; now that was fun. Eden opened the door shivering and met Ash face to face. Anger had her eyes changing to gold again as she shouted, "Why did you do that?" "Your singing was hurting my ears! I wanted to see just how high you could go before I could shut you up." he grin cheekily. "Fucking bastard." she huffed as she grabbed a towel and started rubbing herself off. "Oh come on darling I didn't mean to hurt you; I just wanted to make you laugh a little." Eden widened her eyes, "That's how you thought you would make me laugh? Have you never heard of a joke or even something that does not include freezing water?" She threw the towel in his face and walked out of the bathroom, but not before she conveniently locked him in it. Her laughter rang true as the doorknob rattled in vain, now that was funny. Ash ghosted through the door, wiping the grin off her face, "Can't lock a demon in." Eden's foul mood was back as she pulled a black shirt over her head, "Why isn't there any underwear around here?" "I never really thought you would need any, to tell you the truth. I guess I could have some bought and brought to you." Ash said as he sat on the bed watching her change. His staring eyes brought a blush to her cheeks and she turned away from him, "That would be nice, thank you." He grinned and piped up, "Would you like to go on an excursion with me today?" Eden whirled around, grinning happily, "I would love that!" "Alright let's go then." Ash said as he stood up. "Uhhhh, Ash, I need a bra." "Oh, let me think just a second." he stood still and started murmuring to himself. After a couple of minutes he opened his eyes and held out his hands, a beautiful black bra was dangling from his finger tips. Eden gasped as she reached for it, "How did you do that?" "I just thought of what you wanted and transported it here, I think there is a store in Paris that's minus a bra right now." Eden laughed, that sounded just like him. He turned around as she slipped the thing on, "Alright I'm ready to go." He turned around and grabbed her arm, hauling her up to him. Eden's breath whooshed out and she looked at him confused. "We're teleporting out of the castle; I don't want others near you till we are mated." She frowned; there he goes being an arrogant prick again. All she could do was sigh as they flashed out existence and appeared in an unusual landscape. There were mountains and hills, those she recognized, but the colors were all wrong. Eden let go of Ash and stepped forward. The grass was a deep shade of purple and the trees were ruby colored with bark that was ash grey. A couple of bird in bright blue plumage flew by startling her out of the examination. She turned and looked at Ash, "What's up with the colors here?" He stooped and picked at blade of grass and looked at it, "The color green was acceptable on your planet because of the wave lengths off your sun." he said grinning, "On this planet..." "Hold on, I'm on another planet?" "Yes, anyway, on this planet our plants reflect and absorb these colors, that is why everything looks like it does. The suns here put off different wavelengths." he explained as he took her arm walking her up a small path. A New Eden Ch. 02 "I didn't know that I was on another planet, I just assumed I was in hell." Eden whispered. Ash grinned down at her, "Well technically you are in hell, but hell is on another planet. Demons are multidimensional, we can move from one plane of existence to another, one planet to another planet by means of portals. If you didn't have demon blood in you then I could never have brought you here alive." "Ah, well I guess that makes sense." in reality it made perfect sense, and it made her want to scream at fate for making her half demon... "So where are we going?" "Not telling, you'll just have to wait and see." he said as he picked her up, "You're far to slow, we need to get there before the third sun sets." "How many suns and moons do you have?" Eden asked as she was carted toward a high bank. "We have 4 suns that rotate every 6 hours, but we don't have any moons. Only the celestial planet has moons." "But what about night? Don't you have that?" "No Eden we don't, our moons were taken away from us thousands of years ago after we were banished here." he grunted as the incline became rough. Eden met his eyes and saw sorrow in them; he had never seen the moon or the stars of this planet. "Why were you banished?" She asked quietly. "Because we did not want to be led like a flock of sheep. I admit that many of my species are cruel and do not need to be loose, but the rest of us craved the touch of grass and something other then the divine light." one tear slid down his pale face and splashed onto Eden's cheek. Her arms wrapped around his neck and held him close, "I'm sorry, I know that doesn't make it better but I hope one day you find happiness." "I already have Eden. Now look." Ash said as he set her down on her feet. Before her was the most beautiful landscape Eden had ever seen. Pools of blues, greens, purples, and reds swirled together, large green birds that resembled storks were paddling across the biggest ones. Steam rose off some and huge pink butterflies danced around the edges of the water. "Can we go down?" "Of course, just be careful of the slope." He started to say, but she was already slipping and sliding down the bank. Ash lowered his body down on the violet grass and watched Eden flit from one pool to the next and even cooing at the birds. A slight smile graced his thin lips; she was well worth waiting for. Sweet thoughts coursed through his head, swirling with small pink hearts into the deepest reaches of his mind. His calm was suddenly shattered as a tremendous force pushed its way through his shields. He could feel his body convulsing on the ground and was dimly aware of Eden as she screamed for someone to help them. He tried to calm her but he couldn't make his tongue work. A flash of yellow light lighted his eyelids and warmth surrounded him. Loud voices complaining was the last thing his ears heard before falling into the deep fissure that the force had created. To be continued.
