Jennifer is a beautiful girl, strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes, about 5' 5" tall and just over 125 pounds. She takes after Molly, my wife, in looks. Molly is also a beautiful woman of 48 with long naturally blond hair and beautiful blue eyes. She gets her looks from her parents who immigrated to the US from Norway. She is probably more beautiful today than she was when I first met her. Molly and I have been married for just over 20 years and, for the most part, they were good years. Jennifer came along in our second year and because of complications, Molly could have no more children. That was fine with us as we both loved Jennifer and never felt the need for additional children. Jennifer was very popular and we always had more than enough youngsters around the house to satisfy any need for noise and confusion that we may have harbored. My wife and I have some surprises planned for Jennifer's birthday that should really make her day special. We had planned this dinner to give our gifts instead of waiting for the party that her girlfriends were planning later in the week. We had tried very hard not to spoil our daughter and I think we have succeeded. Jennifer is a good student, has always been a great kid with no troubles to speak of and she has earned our trust and respect with her behavior. The gifts would be a reward for the pleasure she had given us as our daughter. We told her to be home for dinner so that we could give her our gifts. We hoped to surprise her and to make this birthday very special. I am sure she will remember this day for a long time to come. Molly was bustling around the kitchen making Jen's favorites for this most special of dinners. She had planned for a week to make the things that Jennifer really liked. She was having boneless, skinless chicken breasts, browned and then baked in a white sauce with julienne potatoes and a green bean casserole. All favorites. I had checked with her to be sure all was in place and told her that I had a couple of surprises that I would give to both of them after we made the presentations. She wanted to know more, but I told her she had to wait. Jennifer came home early and was helping by generally getting in the way and fidgeting around trying to make everything go faster. In spite of her help, dinner was served and was delicious. During the meal, we talked together as we normally did and discussed all those things normal families do. Jennifer was telling us about her plans for high school graduation with her friends. We were asked to host an early morning breakfast for about 20 to 30 graduates who would be looking for food after a night of dancing and general mayhem. It was a bittersweet time for me: my family and I all together and looking happily forward to the future. The problem was that I had doubts about my future with Molly and my future relationship with Jennifer. These were the two surprises I had planned for both of them. Only time would tell if I was right in what I was about to do. For my part, I felt I had no choice. With dinner finally over, the table cleared and coffee in place, we looked at each other and I started. "Jen, your mother and I are so proud of you and all you have accomplished. You will graduate with honors this year and I know you have been accepted at the University of Miami, which was your first choice. We would like for you to attend a school closer to home but we know that Miami has been your dream for some time. We'll miss you but so long as you are where you want to be." Jennifer looked like she was going to bust, but only smiled and said that she wanted to go to Miami since it had all of the things she was looking for. She also said that she could come home at all of the holidays and we could come visit anytime. Especially in the cold winters here in Cleveland. She indicated that she was still working toward getting some kind of scholarship at Miami but expressed some real doubt. "I want to pay as much of my own way as possible, even though you have offered to pay all of my way," she said. "Well, we both know that Miami is your choice and we will live with it. Anyway, we are so proud of you and we will support anything you choose to do." I said, "You are one special kid!" "Thanks to the best parents in the world! With all of your support, how could I be anything else?" She bounced in her chair and said, "I don't want to appear greedy, but Where are the Presents!!" I looked at Molly and said, "You go first since your gift is the most fun and should get things off to a good start." Molly took a key chain out of her purse and held it up so that Jennifer could see what it was. "This key chain has the key to the front door to the house so that you will always be able to come home at any time you wish. Regardless of where you go and what you do, know that you will always have a home to return to and people who will love you regardless of what you do. Molly looked at her and at me and said "Know that we love you always." "It will also be perfect for the key that fits a brand new Ford Mustang convertible waiting for you at Horne Ford down on Madison Blvd. The sales guy, Garry, will be waiting for you tomorrow morning. Tiny and Ali will be here early tomorrow morning to take you down to get it." Jennifer let out a shriek and her face lit up as bright as a lantern in the darkest night. She had wanted a car since she turned 16 but neither Molly nor I wanted to let her have her own car so early. While we trusted her completely, we felt a 16 year old was too young for that kind of responsibility. She would need a car for school and by that time we felt that she could handle it. Jennifer said, "I don't know what to say! You guys are the best and I won't let you down. I promise no speeding, no tickets and nobody else will be allowed to drive it but you two." What color is it?" "Is it a stick or automatic, what…" Molly interrupted her by saying "Whoa, you can see for yourself tomorrow and Garry will let you pick the color. I think there was a red one and a blue one, and maybe a couple of others on the lot. But we are glad you are pleased. We think you can handle the responsibility now." Jennifer had to get up and give each of us a big hug and kiss. She wanted to call Becky, her best friend, but I reminded her that we still had more gifts to give her. I said, "Unless you just want to stop at that?" "No way!" she said. I let the excitement die down until Jen was calm enough to continue. I said, "On a more practical note, on the day you were born 18 years ago, I opened a brokerage account in your name with my accountant. As your Mother and I were able, we added to it and allowed it to grow. I paid the taxes on it so that everything in it would be clear and without expenses. As of today, there is just over $200,000 in that account. It is yours to use for college expenses at any University you choose. If you go to Miami, it should cover you for a graduate degree without any trouble. If you are careful with it, you should still have enough left over to start you off anywhere you choose." Jennifer just stared at me and then at Molly and then back at me. She had known we would pay for her college, but she had no idea that this amount of money was available for her. She had considered some student loans but because of our income, she was having little luck. She wanted to pay her own way as much as possible and now, with this gift, she could be in control of her own future. This was very important to her as her way to show us that she was ready to take on her own life and responsibilities. She looked at both of use with tears in her eyes. They were tears of joy and disbelief. She said. "I don't believe anyone can be this lucky to have parents like you two. I just hope that I can make you proud of me." Molly spoke first. She said, "We have always been proud of you and you have always been someone we could trust to do the right thing. If we didn't trust you so much, we couldn't have given you these things to start you off in the right direction in college. We will miss you terribly, but we know we have to let you go eventually." Jen looked at me and said, "I am so glad that you have always been there for me. I remember you teaching me to ride my bike, play basketball, teaching me to drive in your old truck and refusing to let me even get on a cycle, even when Uncle Tiny or Uncle Ali or any of my other Uncles came over on their cycles!!" She laughed and said they always said that I was your daughter when I tried to set on their bikes and get them to take me for a ride. "That's how I got my nickname, TW, for training wheels, remember? You have always been the rock that I have anchored myself to when things got rough. I know you will always be there when I need you." She sniffed and said, "I'm sorry for being so corny but its true." As Jen said these things to me, I looked at Molly out of the corner of my eye. She looked a little uncomfortable but had a smile on her face. She glanced at me but I turned away before she caught me watching her. She just shook her head and seemed to gather herself together and looked back at her daughter. Jennifer looked at Molly and said, "You have always shown me the softer side of things and the lighter side of the dark times. When I was down, you were able to lift me up. When I was up, you reminded me of the fall that could happen if I didn't keep my humility in check. I will need that reminder in the future, I know. With you and dad, I always know that I am loved and cherished. Thank you." "I love you both so very much!" she said with tears in her eyes. "I love the gifts that you gave me and the love that came with them. I don't know what the future will bring for me but whatever I have and whatever I do will be because of the two of you. Wherever I go, I'll always carry both of you with me, in here" she said as she touched her heart. Again with the hugs and the kisses!! It was great. It took awhile for all of us to calm down and wipe away the tears that we each tried to hide. But finally, all was calm again. Molly looked at me and said, "I believe you said you had two additional surprises. She looked at me with a smile and said "I don't know anything about them so why don't you let us in on the secret?" She looked at Jennifer and said, "Your Dad has been very secretive about what's coming next." I got up and went into the den we used as a home office. I got two 8x10 manila envelopes out of my desk and carried them back to the dining room. I sat down heavily, with a great sigh and looked at these two incredible women. One I had loved for 18 years with all my heart and soul. The other I had loved for even longer. The love for one could be destroyed, maybe forever. The love of the other may be tested. I looked at them awhile and said to Jennifer, "I know you have to have the information contained in this first envelope and now that you are an adult, you should have it. Maybe there is a better way to do this than I have planned, but I think that this is the cleanest and hopefully the kindest way to do it. I had hoped to give it to you in a better setting, but your mother convinced me that this was the right time". I turned to Molly and said, "Your actions last Monday afternoon convinced me that this had to be done." Molly's smile disappeared and her face turned white. She opened her mouth and tried to speak, but nothing came out. She lifted her hand and reached for me but dropped it before she completed the action. She sat stunned and unresponsive. I pushed the envelope across the table to Jennifer. "This contains all of the information about your biological father, one Ronald Davis", I said. "In it are all of the medical records that you would need for a medical questionnaire, his home address, and phone number. There is also a number on the outside of the envelope of a motel here in Cleveland where he is at this very moment." "He knows that you are his biological daughter but he and I had a meeting about 8 months after you were born. He signed a waiver of parental rights at my suggestion and he also signed a release for adoption. I adopted you 6 months after that and you have been my daughter legally for all but the first 14 months of your life." "He also agreed to never contact you or see you until you were legally an adult. This becomes true today. I also made sure that he left the area and that he never contacted your mother again after that time." I looked at Molly and said, "While you didn't know it, you signed the adoption papers during one of the signing parties we used to have when I was expanding the business. You didn't know what it was and I didn't tell you." Molly just sat there with her head down and her eyes closed. Her shoulders shook as she sobbed to herself. Watching her in obvious pain, I wanted desperately to go to her, hold her and tell her everything was going to be ok. I remembered last Monday and looked away. Jennifer was stunned! She looked at both of us as if she had never seen either one of us before. She had tears in her eyes and she finally locked onto her Mother who had said nothing during this time. "Mom, what is he talking about? Who is this Ron Davis and why would he be my biological father? What did you do? What the hell did you do to me?" She slammed her little fist onto the table and screamed at me. "Tell me what she did. Where were you and why did you allow this to happen? If he's my biological father, why did you let that happen?" She sobbed and cried, "I love you and you are my father! I don't know this man so how could he be my father?" I said very calmly but with intensity, "You are my daughter! You will always be my daughter! I didn't supply the sperm that mixed with your mother's egg, but I gave all of the love that I had to you from the day you were born, and I will continue to love you till the day that I die." I reached across the table and took both of her hands in mine and said, "Don't you ever, for one single minute, think that this piece of paper changes anything that you and I have shared over the past 18 years. I love you with all my heart and you are my daughter now and forever!" "As to why I didn't stop it, I can only say that I didn't know about it at the time. If I had, I would never have allowed it to happen knowing what it would mean to you and our family. I can't speak for your mother, but I don't believe she ever meant to hurt you. Once you were born and I saw you in your mother's arms, I knew then that I could never turn away from you. I did what I had to do to keep you." She smiled bravely and said, "I don't care what any piece of paper says or what anyone says. You're my Father and that's that!" She then looked at her mother, and said, "Do you have anything to say to me?" Molly raised her eyes to meet Jennifer's and said in a dull, listless voice, "Nothing that would make me look any better in your eyes." Molly then got up, left the room and slowly climbed the stairs to the bedroom. We heard the door close and then nothing. I looked at Jennifer and said to her very firmly, "I want you to remember something very important. Molly is your mother and has always loved you without reservation. She has been there for you, and for us, for all of your life. She has never given you any reason to hate her or to not respect her. What she did is between her and I and is something that she has had to live with for the past 18 years. She has never been anything but loving and loyal during that time. It had nothing to do with her love for you and does not affect our love for you as our daughter." Jennifer looked at me with tears in her eyes and said that she understood and was glad that I could understand why she couldn't hate her mother regardless of what she had done. I told her that I wouldn't have had it any other way. I paused for a moment as the pain overcame me, and then said, "I know she will need your love in the coming months and I hope you will be there for her. I may not be able to." At that point, I handed Jennifer a note card with a phone number on it. I said, "This is the number of the phone at my new apartment, and you already have my cell number. I have already packed most of my stuff and have moved them into my new place. I am leaving your mother, at least for the time being. I can't remain here after what she did last Monday. If you need to reach me, call me. I won't give you the address since Molly may demand that you give it to her and I don't want you in that position. If you give her the phone number, I can live with that." Jennifer looked shocked. "Why are you leaving now?" she asked. "This happened 18 years ago and you two have seemed very happy together. We were a great family before this. What happened to change all that? Certainly not my turning 18." I told her that I had always kept track of where Ron Davis was through a private detective agency that I hired back when I first found out about the affair between Molly and Ron. "Just after he and I had our meeting, I 'suggested' that he might want to relocate to another state. I had one or two of your Uncles talk to him about moving. You know how persuasive your Uncles can be? For the past 18 years, he had been living in Michigan with his wife and three children, but for some reason he came to Cleveland two weeks ago. I know he contacted Molly twice by phone since coming here. I also know that he arranged to meet her last Monday in a room at the Holiday Inn down by the interstate. She kept that liaison and they spent over two hours together in that room." "That's when I decided she and I had to be ended. If she could start it up with him after 18 years, she obviously had never gotten over him and there was no hope for us as a couple anymore. I will not share her with another man, even if he is your real father." I handed her the other envelope and said, "Please give this to your mother when she comes down. These are divorce papers. I will file officially Monday." With that said, I got up and with tears in my eyes making it almost impossible to see where I was going, I kissed my daughter and walked out of my home to begin to try to determine where my life was going. Molly's Story-The Beginning Molly sat in the darkened bedroom she and Jim had shared for the past 20 years. She was almost numb. She had known this day would come but had hoped it wouldn't happen until she was old and gray and so sure of her marriage to Jim that she wouldn't care if the truth came out. What she hadn't known until just now was that Jim already knew all about the affair, knew that he wasn't Jennifer's biological father and knew about her last meeting with Ron. How in the hell had he found out? When had he found out and how long had he known the truth? Why hadn't he said anything before this, at least to her? These thoughts were foremost in her mind as she thought back to the beginning. Back to where she had screwed up so badly that her marriage and her relationship with her daughter were both now in doubt. Molly graduated from Massillon High School in Ohio with good grades but no plans to go on to college. She didn't have the money and her mother was not able to give her much help. Her father had died when she was 12 so her mother had raised her alone. After graduation, she worked for a year in a convenience store and the next year she enrolled in the local Technical College and trained to become a licensed Practical Nurse. She was good at it, worked hard, and was at the top of her class. She graduated at age 21 and took a job at one of the hospitals in Cleveland. Over the next two years, she rotated through the many departments without complaining, taking on any assignment given to her, and finally settled on the surgical wing where she found the work to be interesting and sometimes exciting. She worked hard and never missed work. She continued to study and gain more experience. She asked questions of the older nurses and used the information to make herself a better nurse. She remained professional even when some of the doctors tried to hit on her and was able to deflect their advances without making them angry. Once she had gained her Registered Nursing License, she was gradually given more responsibility and steadily gained the respect of the senior staff. At 25, she was made Senior Nurse of the dayshift surgical nursing staff and continued to do well. She was well liked by both the doctors and the other nurses and was given responsibilities outside her nursing duties. Special Day Ch. 01 Molly was a stunningly beautiful girl but during this time, she had no time for dating or a relationship. She did occasionally date some of the male nurses and one or two young interns, but none were steady and few involved a sexual relationship. She made it clear to these guys that she wasn't going to hop into bed with them just to make their day. This made most relationships short and not sweet. This was fine with her as her work was what she most loved to do. One of the responsibilities she was entrusted with outside of nursing was purchasing disposable medical instruments and trays for the surgical nurses and doctors. This is how she met Ron Davis. He owned Davis Medical Supplies, one of the many supply houses that provided service to the hospital. He stopped on her floor once every 6-8 weeks or so to replenish the supplies from his distributor. Ron was a good-looking guy; about 6' tall with a good body and short cut red hair. He was married and had three young daughters. His wife was a cute blonde that looked to be about Molly's age. Ron was at least 5 years older than Molly and was very smooth and self-assured. He flirted constantly with Molly and the other nurses and often made suggestive remarks that had Molly blushing, but the truth was, she liked it and liked him. That he was married just made it a little bit dangerous, but also guaranteed that it would go nowhere. At least, that's what she thought at the time. Ron had made some very specific overtures to Molly about getting together after work on one of his infrequent trips to the surgical wing. She had jokingly said that they would probably have to settle for the stock room since she never had time when she left work. She thought no more about it since Ron was leaving that afternoon to go on to Chicago. During his next visit, she was working in the stock room, taking inventory of the devices for which she was responsible so she could give him the list of what she needed. She never heard Ron come in and lock the door. She first became aware of him when he said her name. Before she could turn around, his arms went around her waist and he bent down to kiss her neck and the exposed flesh just below her collar. His touch sent shivers down her spine and the kisses made her so hot she could hardly breathe. As he held her tightly, she could feel his arousal pressing into her. She made no move to stop him and he continued to kiss her neck while one hand slipped inside her blouse to cup one of her breasts. Molly moaned and tried to push him away but her hands would not obey her wishes. Instead, she leaned back into his embrace. She reached back to grab the erection she could feel grinding into her ass. She found the hard rod that she was searching for, gripped it, and began to run her hand up and down its length. This caused Ron to expel a breath and grab both of her shoulders and turn her around to face him. He forced her back against the table she had been working on. He mashed his lips to hers and his tongue slipped between her lips. She welcomed this intrusion and her tongue danced with his while he began to unbutton her blouse. He finally got the buttons undone and pushed the blouse off her shoulders. He unsnapped her front clasp bra and pulled that off as well. She leaned back to allow the blouse to slide off her arms. He unbuttoned her skirt and inserted his fingers inside the waistband of her panties and pulled both down over her ample hips. The skirt with her panties dropped to the floor. As she stood there before him nude and glowing, she briefly wondered if this was such a good idea. At that point, Ron unzipped his fly and pulled out his wonderful cock. Molly looked down at it and reached out her hand to touch it. It was hard, silky smooth and so hot. She began to stroke its length while Ron unbuckled his pants and pulled them down along with his boxers. She no longer cared about right and wrong, just this fire raging inside her. Molly looked into Ron's eyes and said, "We shouldn't be doing this. You're married. What about your wife?" Ron looked back at this beautiful vision and said. "We have this time and each other. You and I both want the same thing so there is nothing wrong with what we are doing. I want you!" With that, he turned her around and bent her over the tabletop. He took his cock in his hand, rubbed it against the lips of her wet pussy and shoved the length into her in one swift motion. She almost screamed with pleasure but bit her lip to quiet her emotion. With her face resting on her folded arms, Ron drove his hard cock into her from behind over and over. She had two orgasms in quick succession before she felt him spurt his hot cum into her. This brought one final orgasm and then it was over. Ron stepped back, pulled on his pants and said, "That was incredible. I never thought it could be that good. We have to do this again, but somewhere we can be more comfortable." He looked at me, still bent over the table and said with a worried tone, "Are you alright?" I laughed and said, "I am fine, but also in shock. You're right, it was incredible!" I straightened up and reached for my clothes. I dressed and tried to make myself presentable before unlocking the door and checking to be sure the passageway was clear. I told Ron he had to leave and come back in about an hour so I could give him my inventory list. I looked at Ron and said, "Before you go any further, I'll see you again next month when you come in for the order. Not before!" This was fun but I will not make it a habit nor will I become your Mistress. We can do this my way or not at all. Agreed?" Ron agreed reluctantly, but knew when to count his blessings. We parted and I didn't see him again for almost 6 weeks. When I did see him, we made plans to meet again at a motel after work the following day. We had sex that evening in the motel room and it was even better. We tried several different positions, all intercourse, and I thought all were great. Ron was an indefatigable lover and I had multiple orgasms. Ron pressured me for oral sex and I refused. He offered to perform oral on me and, again, I refused. I had no desire to try different things and he finally agreed. This continued for a little over 2 years. We would meet either in the stockroom or at a motel after my shift and have great sex and then part with no further contact till the next time. It was great and no one found out. I had no need to date other men since my needs were being met satisfactorily with no real commitment needed on my part. This left my free time really free. It was at about this time I met Jim Morrison. I was now 29, very successful as a Senior Nurse and Supervisor of the Surgical Nursing Staff. I normally did not work much as a nurse but would fill in from time to time when we were short or I just wanted to keep my hand in. I was working surgical rotation, filling in for one of my nurses that had a family emergency and was on duty in the recovery room when I first saw him. From what I could gather, he was riding on his motorcycle when a car pulled out of a side street directly into his path. He tried to swerve and missed hitting the car head on, but the cycle slid and Jim was thrown clear. He hit a tree, broke his collarbone, right arm and several ribs. The docs had put him back together and sent him to recovery. I was there when he woke up. The very first words he said to me were "I'm guess I died. Do all of the angels look like you here in heaven?" He was deadly serious and the look on his face was priceless. I fell in love with him right then and there and never looked back. Jim's Story-The Beginning Jim Morrison was 17 when his dad gave him his first motorcycle, over his mother's objections. Jim's dad, Henry, was a fairly successful salesman for a local tool & die manufacturer in Cleveland, Ohio but had grown up riding motorcycles. They were his first love and he gave them up reluctantly after he married Jim's mother, Theresa. Theresa tolerated Henry's obsession with his precious motorcycles until she became pregnant with Jim. At this point, she told Henry that she wasn't going to raise a baby by herself when he killed himself riding with his biker friends on one of his bikes. She insisted that he give up the cycle and Henry agreed, reluctantly, and parked his cycle in the garage. A year after Jim was born, he sold it and settled down to become a good father and husband. While he missed the freedom, he loved his family more. They weren't rich by any standard, but they were comfortable and lived in a tidy 3 bedroom home in the southern suburbs of Cleveland. Jim was a bright boy, but had no desire to go on to college and was only average at sports. He spent most of his free time down at Donovan's Cycles, a locally owned shop that specialized in Harley cycles. The shop was owned by Fred Donovan, an old friend of Henry's. Fred tolerated Jim and even taught him to help repair some of the cycles that came into the shop for service. Jim loved the cycles, the guys that drove them and they seemed to like him. He seemed to be a natural when it came to repairing a broken cycle. He seemed to know just what was wrong and what to do to fix it. The bikers began to refer their friends to Jim and, as a result, the service business just grew. Fred was delighted but didn't say much about it to Jim. He did hire a couple of new mechanics. With his new cycle, Jim spent the biggest part of his spare time after school riding with some of the other motorcycle gang members, getting to know more of them and helping them with their bikes when repairs were needed. He became so good at it that several cycle clubs made him an honorary member of their gang and tried to get him to become an exclusive member. Jim good-naturedly refused, saying he couldn't piss off the other bikers. Jim continued to ride and work part time in Mr. Donovan's shop till graduation. He turned 18 and became his own man, so to speak, since he still lived at home with his parents. About this time, Fred Donovan asked Jim's father if he would mind if he offered Jim a full time job at the shop repairing the bikes and working part time in sales and service. Henry quickly agreed, knowing that Jim had no plans to go to college and that this would be a good place to work with a pretty good income for a kid just turned 18 and no higher education. Theresa also agreed since Jim was a solid kid who never got into trouble. She trusted him to take care of himself and do the right thing. If he loved this work, she was not going to object. It was important to her that Jim was happy and this was why she had permitted the cycle that Henry wanted to give Jim on his 17th birthday. She objected, but not too hard. She saw the same love in his eyes for the cycle that she had seen in Henry's so long ago. She always felt sad making Henry give the bike up, but it was too important to her that he be the father that she knew Jim would need as he grew up. She was content with her choices. Jim worked at Donovan's for the next year as he turned 19. At that time, Fred Donovan asked Jim to try his hand at running the shop full time while training two new guys that he had hired to work in the shop on service. Jim agreed since this would allow him more time with the new arrivals and to try them out as part of his sales duties. Jim had a natural flair for selling, partly because his love of the cycles came through and partly because he was so knowledgeable about all aspects of cycling. He sold more bikes in the next two years than Fred had sold in the last five years before Jim joined him. When Jim was 21, Fred began to show up less often and Jim was operating the business full time. He kept the books, ordered new merchandise, cleared all sales and made whatever deals he felt were good for the shop. He trained new staff and kept the shop operating at a higher level of efficiency and profitability than Fred had ever managed. Things were good! Over the next year, things remained about the same without any complaint from Jim. He was happy, busy and making some minor changes that he thought Fred would approve of to make things even better. He was happily prepping a new bike for a customer to pick up later in the day with Fred came in looking like he had just won the lottery. He came up to Jim and said, "We need to talk. Can you get Juan to take over for you for a couple of hours?" Jim said, "Sure thing, boss, but can't we talk here?" Fred said, "Just get Juan and come with me." Jim came into the office where Fred was setting and said, "OK, boss. We can go." Fred smiled and walked out of the office to his Hummer. He said, "Climb in, boy, and we'll get to where we need to go." Jim got in and they pulled out of the lot. "Where we going?" Jim asked. "You'll see", said Fred. Fred pulled in to the Wachovia Bank, where he had the business accounts. He walked in and said to the girl at the Information Counter. "Tell Barry Woods that Fred and Jim are here to see him." She smiled at Fred and said that Barry was expecting us and to go right in. Fred grabbed Jim by the hand and said, "Follow me." He went into an office where two men were present, one behind the desk and one off to one side. "That gentleman there behind the desk is Barry Woods, He is a loan officer at this here bank and the other gentleman is his boss, Herman Yates. Gentlemen, this is Jim Morrison, the man I was telling you about." "We have been talking about you buying my business and we have worked out a plan that I think you might be interested in." With that, all three men looked at me for my reaction. I was in shock, and must have looked it since Mr. Yates got up and took me by the hand and led me to a chair. He said, "Boy, you'd best sit down. You look about to fall over." I sat, still in shock. I looked at Fred and said, "Talk to me before I pass out." Fred, Barry and Herman spoke for the next hour or so describing the deal they had put together. It seems that Fred was content to retire and move to Florida with his brother and his wife. He had watched me for the last three years and was convinced that I was the one who could run the business even better than he had as evidenced by the financial performance of the business over the last three years I had been almost fully in charge. The original loans had all been paid off and the business was well into the black and had been for over two years. The profit was more than enough to meet any loan obligation and the price Fred was asking was absurdly low. At the asking price, the remaining equity in the business alone would more than offset any down payment required by the bank for a loan. I mentioned this to him and he said that he had saved enough to comfortably retire and didn't need or want a whole lot more and, anyway, he thought of me as a son and this was his gift. Since my father had died three years ago and my mother had followed him soon after, Fred had really been my family for some time. I couldn't speak for a long time and the three men respected that silence. Anyway, to make a long story short, we agreed on a price, the deal was finalized and I signed on the dotted line. I was the new owner of Donaldson's Cycle Shop. Go figure! For the next two years, I continued to make changes and improvements and the profit margin continued to grow. I hired several of my motorcycle friends to work in the shop and to help with the growing sales. I also hired two bikers, Tiny, and Ali as "special assistants." Tiny was a 6' 4" Hispanic named Jose Ramirez that scared most people just by looking at them, and Ali, or Alular Muhammad, was an African American, about 5' 10" and built like a bull. They were inseparable friends and had been my friends since I first started working at Donovan's. As my special assistants, they did anything around the shop like loading and delivery, prepping the new cycles and any other thing I asked of them. They were close personal friends and I would trust them with my life. Later on, I would often thank God that I had them on my side. Business continued to grow and life was good. During this time, I also met Tony Alexander. He was a friend from high school who had gone on to college, got a degree in business accounting and returned home to work for a local manufacturing concern. He liked cycles and often stopped in after work and on weekends. He finally bought a small cycle and I gave him lessons to allow him to get his motorcycle operator's license. He loved it. I used to kid him about dumping his job and coming to work with me. He always said he would love to, but couldn't see how he could do it. I still mentioned it from time to time. About a year after I met Tony, I decided to open a second shop in the western part of Cleveland. I needed a manager for the new shop and someone to work sales and service. I talked with two of the bikers I knew who would be capable of working in a 9-5 type operation and we agreed on terms. They went with me to search for sites and help to set up the operation. It took about 8 months but finally, we were ready to open the new shop. We named this shop Morrison's Cycles. The opening was a success and within a year, we were showing a profit. Things couldn't be any better. Tony came into the new shop one day while I was there and asked if he could talk to me. He looked troubled so I told him to come back to the office, sat him down, and gave him a beer. He said, "I was just let go from my job and I don't know what to do now. I need a job but I don't want to go back to that type of work anymore. What do you think about my joining you?" I asked what he had in mind. He said, "I think I can float a loan to buy into the business with you and I could help run operations. I could do the accounting, work the taxes, and leverage the inventory and other things that I bet could save you a lot of money." I said, "Could you help me set up a corporation? I would like to continue to expand but I don't think it's a good idea to do that on my own without some way to spread the risk." He said, "That's easy. We could set up a limited liability corporation so we could expand with borrowed money and still take the profits, well; the answer to your question is, absolutely. Do we have a deal?" "Done and done," I said. Thus was born Morrison Enterprises. Tony came on board as a partner with a 20% share of the business. He proved to be one of the best investments I ever made. He set up the new corporation as Morrison Enterprises, LLC. Over the next four years, we opened four more shops in Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky, giving us a total of six. Our new profits tripled and we were almost debt free. We had hired over forty of my ex gang members who all turned respectable and proved to be indispensable to my growth and success. They all had friends who had friends who referred more friends, etc. Life was good. As business continued to grow, I took more and more time off and let Tony run the business with Tiny and Ali. He loved doing it and was very good at it. I had more money than I could spend and put most of it into investments. I did buy a house that was way too big for me but I seemed to always have at least five to ten of my biker buddies, often with their significant others, staying for a day or so. I bought a couple of sports cars that I had always admired but really preferred my hog to any of them. At thirty, my life was easy and I was as carefree as too much money could make me. That's how I managed to be riding on the day I had the accident. I was running along without a care in the world when, from a side street to my right, a car came flying out against the light. I saw him coming and pulled the bike to the right to try to miss him, but the bike went over and hit a curb and I went head over heels over the handle bars. I went airborne into a tree, striking my ribs a hard crack. I felt them break as I slid down the tree. I fell on my right shoulder with my right arm folded underneath me and again with the crack! I found later that I had broken four ribs, broken my collarbone and fractured my right arm in four places. I don't remember any of that after I went airborne. I do remember waking up in the recovery room in the hospital looking at the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I knew at that instant that I had died and gone to heaven, and what I was looking at was a beautiful angel. I asked her if all of the other angels were as beautiful as she and then I passed out again. That was how I met Molly. Special Day Ch. 02 Molly As Jim recovered, we spent hours just talking and getting to know each other. I noticed that he had some very strange friends. They were all big, tattooed, and dressed alike in denim and leather. He said that they were all his brothers. When I asked one of them why he had so many brothers, he laughed and said that Jim's family was very, very large and very, very strange. He laughed again and said to take extra special care of him since he was good people and was very important to a lot of folks. He said with a very serious look that if I took good care of Jim, they would take good care of me. I later found out what that meant! Once my shift ended, I often found myself staying at the hospital just to be with him and spend time with him. As he mended, we made plans to get together as soon as he got out of the hospital. Once, about three weeks after Jim was first hospitalized, I met with Ron in the same stock room we first had sex. The sex was still wild and fantastic and I felt dirty and excited at the same time. I somehow didn't even think of Jim while with Ron, but did tell Ron that I couldn't meet him the next night at the motel as we usually did since I had other plans. I never thought about how I felt about Jim or how I felt about Ron. It was like they were two different worlds. I loved Jim and lusted after Ron. Those were two different things, weren't they? It was with a great deal of surprise then, when I found myself unable to meet Jim's eyes that afternoon when I went into his room. I told him that it was just a bad day on the floor and he seemed to accept that. I finally shook myself free and was able to enjoy my time with him. It did bother me that I felt this terrific sense of guilt. During this time, I found that Jim was the owner and CEO of his own company, Morrison Enterprises. It was a chain of motorcycle sales and service shops that covered four states. He told me the name of the one near where I lived and I stopped in on my way home one night and sure enough, his picture was in a brochure that the manager of the shop showed me after I asked him if Jim Morrison was really the owner. He knew Jim was in the hospital and grilled me on his condition and when he would be out. It was clear that he knew Jim personally and cared very much about him. Once Jim was released, we began dating. It was truly love at first sight for both of us. I knew then that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this man and I believed he felt the same way. We dated for about 3 months before Jim made the first tentative moves toward a sexual relationship. He was very old fashioned in that regard and it was fine with me, as well. I let him know that I felt the same way and we made plans to spend the weekend together at Jim's home. On Friday of that week, Jim picked me up after work and took me to his house. It was some house! It was a two-story brick mansion in one of the best parts of Shaker Heights. It must have had 20 rooms and over 6,000 square feet. This blew me away. When I asked him why such a big home, he reminded me of his extended family. He said that he would often have 10 or 12 people staying at the house at any given time. This weekend, he said, was special and there were no other guests. He gave me a tour of the upstairs and the garage. As I expected, there were about 10 cycles in the garage and two sports cars that must have cost a bundle. Jim said he rarely drove any of them and preferred his Ford Explorer, the one he usually drove. The master bedroom was another world. The bed was a King size waterbed, of all things and the bathroom was over 1,000 sq ft. with a walk in shower that was almost as big as my apartment! I told Jim that I fully expected that we would try out that shower together. He had the grace to blush and said that he looked forward to it. That weekend was wonderful. The first night was very special. Jim was very gentle and wanted everything to be perfect. He had a fire in the fireplace, a soft rug on the floor in front of the fire and a bottle of the best champagne chilled and ready. He undressed me slowly and gently and just stared at me with tears in his eyes. He said, "You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." He bent toward me and kissed my lips so softly that I wasn't sure he even touched me. He put his hands on my shoulders and pulled me to him and increased the pressure on my mouth. It began to be more demanding and sensuous at the same time. I pushed him back and said, "Let me undress you first. Please" I pulled his shirt over his head and he held up his arms to assist me. I unbuckled his belt and unbuttoned his trousers and then pulled down the zipper. He stood up to help me pull the trousers to his ankles. I looked up to his briefs to see what looked to be a good-sized erection underneath. I licked my lips in anticipation while reaching up to slide my fingers into the elastic and slip his briefs off his hips. The cock that sprang to attention at release was beautiful. Large but not too large, hard and silky soft. I reached up to take it in my hands, which brought a groan from Jim. He quickly grabbed my hands and said, "Please, babe, wait till I can hold you and feel you all over. I have wanted this for so long, I won't be able to hold out for very long this first time. I want to make it count!" I looked up at him and said, "Once you cum, you will be able to do a lot of things you can't do now, so let me get you off first, so we can enjoy our time with each other." With that, I stroked his cock until it was hard and throbbing and then took it in my mouth and gave him the first blowjob I had ever given to any man. Oh, I had been with a few boys in high school for the hot sweaty backseat sex that was good for them and OK for me. All they wanted was to put their cock in a girl's vagina so they could brag about their male prowess to their buddies. After high school, I had dated a few guys but none long enough to have a sexual relationship with since I wouldn't hop into bed with every guy I dated. School and nursing kept me occupied so that I never missed the dating scene. My dildo and I were satisfactory companions. The good thing was that I was usually able to have an orgasm with vaginal sex relatively easily and was usually satisfied with that. I had no desire to have a guy eat me out and then kiss me so I never wanted to go that route. The high school guys were fast but even then, I usually got off. I knew what to do since I had practiced on my dildos several times. (I never gave Ron oral sex even though he begged me to. We had sex in several different positions, all vaginal, but that was all.) Jim grunted, his hips began to move forward and back and he moaned that he couldn't hold it. I looked up at him and took him out of my mouth long enough to say, "I want you to cum in my mouth. Just relax and enjoy this. I've never done this before and it may be the last time I do it." With that, I bobbed my head up and down on his shaft, sucked harder and stroked his shaft with my hand as I bobbed. The other hand was fondling his balls. Almost immediately, I felt his cock get even harder, his balls began to contract and he started thrusting his hips faster and faster. His hands went to the back of my head and suddenly, he erupted in my mouth. It caught me by surprise, but I recovered quickly and began to swallow as fast as I could. I couldn't taste anything since it was spurting in the back of my throat and I was swallowing it as fast as it came out. All in all, it wasn't bad and was something I could probably get used to doing for my man. As he recovered, Jim just held me and stroked my hair telling me how much he loved me. I just enjoyed his touch and the words he was saying. Soon, however, his hands began to slide lower and down to my breasts. He rubbed my nipples and took them between two fingers and gently squeezed them as they got harder and jutted proudly erect. He bent down and took one in his mouth, working his tongue around the nipple and sucking gently. He did this with one, and then the other. I was enjoying his ministrations greatly and just moaned softy with my eyes closed. His hands then began their trek down over my belly and to my mound. My pussy lips were swollen and my pussy was very wet. One of his fingers found its way into my waiting wetness and the other found my erect clit. This was really heaven. This was what I had always envisioned making love to be like with the man of my dreams. He put another finger inside me and began to move them in and out faster and faster. I put my hand over his and held it as he finger fucked me. I came with an intensity that I had never felt. I shuddered and held on to his hand until the sensation subsided. Jim just held me tightly and waited for me to come back to earth. He smiled and said, "I am glad you enjoyed that." I just smiled up at him and said, "It was great!" We spooned together and just stayed that way for a while without having to say anything. Finally, I could feel a stirring and a familiar hardness pushing into my butt. I looked over my shoulder at Jim and batted my eyes at him and said, "Hey, sailor, are you just happy to see me?" Jim said, "It seems the 6th fleet is in and is looking for a port to dock in. Any thoughts on the subject?" I pulled away from him and rolled over onto my back with my legs bent at the knees and spread apart to receive him. "How about we put that sailor in this harbor?" Jim quickly obliged and it was wonderful. He took his cock in hand, ran the head up and down my now swollen lips and stroked into me in one smooth push. Since I was nice and wet, it went in easily and I reveled in the feeling of being full. We quickly found a comfortable rhythm with Jim pushing into me and pulling out while I rose to meet him on each stroke. It was unbelievable! This was truly making love. I now knew the difference between being fucked and making love. With Ron, we fucked! With Jim, we made love. I preferred making love. After about 10 minutes of glorious lovemaking, I felt Jim tense up. He said, "I'm going to cum!" I said, "Go ahead, and don't worry about me, I have already cum twice." With that, he began to stroke into me faster and faster, not pulling out as far as before. He pushed once more into me as deep as he could go and remained motionless. I suddenly felt him spurt his seed into me and I came again! I couldn't believe it! I had climaxed three times as we made love! That was the first time that had ever happened. He collapsed on top of me and I put my arms around him and just held him there. I think we both fell asleep in that position and I awoke with him just looking at me with a smile on his face. "I love you, do you know that?" he said. "I love you and have since I first saw you in that hospital bed. I'm glad you finally caught up to me." I answered him lovingly. We made love many more times that weekend, each time better than the first time. We knew we were going to be together for the rest of our lives. We pledged our love to each other that weekend and talked about the future. We truly became a couple. I went back to work the following week, and with Jim released from the hospital, my days lacked something. I was bored with my job for the first time in years. I knew what was missing and decided I would have to learn to plan for the evenings and weekends. In the meantime, I would just work harder to make the time go faster. This was the pattern for the next several months. Jim and I had not made wedding plans yet since he had not formally asked me to marry him. I told him he had to do that before I would commit to marrying him. He said that he would do it properly and that he would make plans. I just had to wait till he could do it the way he considered proper! During this period, Ron had stopped in twice to refill our orders and to try to make plans with me to resume our affair. Both times, I rebuffed him, telling him that Jim and I were very much in love and I would not cheat on him. Ron said cheating was what he was doing; I wasn't married yet so I couldn't cheat. I didn't go for that, so things were tense between us. Things stayed this way until about 4 months after Jim and I started being together. Jim left for a 2 weeks trip to his other shops and I had been without him for 10 days when Ron stopped in. He made his usual comments and asked me to meet him after work for a drink. This time, with Jim gone and me horny, I agreed. We had a drink at the restaurant at his motel and we ended up in his room. We had sex and it was just as wild and satisfying as before. The only difference was that I couldn't enjoy it as much since I had this sudden feeling of guilt that I couldn't shake. Never the less, I had a climax and that satisfied my inner fire. I told Ron that this was all he could expect from me this trip. He was angry and accused me of teasing him, but he didn't push any further. I left, went home and called Jim. I felt better after talking to him and just hearing his voice. He told me that he was catching the next plane and would be home in about 2 hours. I couldn't wait for him to get home. I decided that since Jim didn't know anything about my affair with Ron before he and I met, I wouldn't tell him and he wouldn't be hurt by it since he didn't know anything. This did not make the guilt go away, but it was a plan that I could live with. Jim came back and he proposed that same night. He had flowers, we went to a wonderful restaurant for a candlelight dinner and he proposed over desert and coffee. I said yes and we were married 6 weeks later. I became Mrs. James L Morrison, wife and lover. Things were great with Jim and I. I continued my job at the hospital since I really loved the work and Jim had a full time job with his company. This way, we both could enjoy the time we had with each other even more since it created some anticipation till we could be together. I learned more about his job and his 'brothers'. I met many of them and they were really members of different motorcycle gangs. They were all just a little scary but as I got to know them, I grew to love them as Jim did. It was also clear that he was an honorary member of all the gangs and these guys, and some girls, thought the world of him. That was because they all knew that he would come to their aid if they were in trouble, fix their rides if they were cash short, give them a place to stay if they asked and anything else he would do as if they were really family. As his wife, I was accepted without reservation. It was nice to know I had these guys on my side! Jim At thirty, I had almost everything that I had ever wanted except someone to share it with. Before Molly, I had had the usual dates with girls that I had met either through the business, through one of my friends or just as a pickup in a bar that I was at. None of them really turned me on for any length of time and I went through girls like I did through bikes. I liked them well enough but there was always a new one just waiting to be found. Sex was OK, but not something I went looking for. Maybe I was weird but I didn't miss it all that much. Most of the time it was just a frenzied make-out session after a night of booze or an expected thing after a good dinner and movie. None ever felt like a second time and none left me with a feeling of contentment. I would just as soon skip sex if that were all there was to it. As Molly and I developed our friendship, I found myself resenting the time I wasn't with her and looked for her every day while I was in the hospital. As long as she was there, I felt no pain. When she wasn't there, I was a lousy patient. After a while, she asked me if I would like for her to come by after her shift. I quickly said yes and she soon began to visit me every evening after her stint on duty. I got well much faster when she was there. I told her about me, and my love of motorcycles. I also told her I was the owner and CEO of my own company. I felt a great deal of pride as I told her, the first time I had ever thought of it in those terms. It seemed important when I told Molly about it. Otherwise, it was just a job and a source of money. She accepted it without comment, and that made me a little sad. But, hey, maybe she wasn't easily impressed. I told her that I had a shop fairly close to the hospital and told her where it was. No big deal. I found out the next day that she hadn't believed me and went to check it out. When she came back the next evening, she said that she had talked with Ramon at the shop I told her about and that Ramon wished me well. She seemed to be quite impressed, now that she believed me. Molly was able to meet several of my 'brothers' during my recovery. These were members of various motorcycle gangs or clubs that I had befriended over the years and these guys were the most loyal friends any one could ask for. Tiny and Ali visited me daily, always wanted to know what I needed, said that they would watch over things for me and, in general, were there for me. They wanted to know if I wanted the jerk that pulled in front of me "talked to", but I said to leave him alone. They also took Molly under their wing and told her to call any of them if she had a problem with anyone. They told her she was now one of them and she never had to worry about anything again. The thing was, they meant it. Molly was initially a little afraid of them, but after talking with them, she began to think of them as her own brothers. They called her "little mama" which tickled her no end. Molly was generally upbeat and happy most of the time. If her job got her down, it was had to tell. There was only one time in all the time I was in the hospital that she seemed not herself. It was during one of her shifts. She came into the room late in her shift and wouldn't look at me. She just sat beside me on the bed and didn't say anything. I asked her what was wrong and she said that it was just some things that happened that made her sad. She seemed to snap out of it after awhile and was her usual self again. She never talked about what it was and I just forgot about it. We made plans to get together after I was released from therapy in about three more weeks. Our time together was fast becoming the most important part of my days and I wanted more. I began to see Molly on a steady basis and we discussed marriage, kids, living together, and all the things that couples do. Molly would make no firm commitments to marriage because she said that I had not proposed to her formally! She said I had to do that to make it real. I agreed and told her that I would do it at the right time. We finally consummated our relationship one weekend at my home. I had finally gotten up the nerve to suggest that we take our relationship to the next level, a sexual one. I had agonized over this for some time since I always felt that when I met the right woman, it would be a very special thing to make love to her. I wasn't sure what that meant but I knew it would be different form anything I had done before. In the past, it was always about sex and just getting pleasure. This was more giving pleasure to someone else rather than just getting satisfied. Part of the satisfaction was in making someone you loved happy and fulfilled. I wasn't sure I knew how to do that. I was up for the challenge though. It was a wonderful experience and I had never had it's like before. This time was truly making love, and with Molly, it was an incredible experience. I knew that this was the one that I wanted to spend my life with. I made plans that weekend to propose to her once I found a ring and set the time and place. I was planning on proposing the following weekend when I got a call from Phillip Toth, the man who ran my store in Indianapolis, Indiana. He said that the sales manager had quit suddenly due to a family emergency and that he was short handed already. He asked me to come out to give him a hand while he hired two new people and got them trained. I agreed and told Molly that I would probably be gone about two weeks. I asked her if she wanted to go with me but she said she couldn't get time off right now. So I left that Monday. Special Day Ch. 02 I stayed for just over two weeks and called Molly every day. We missed each other tremendously since it was the longest time I had been away. I talked with Phil, who agreed that he was able to handle things now and I could probably leave in a day or so. I decided to leave on Friday to be home in time to propose to Molly. Friday was the day I wanted to propose and this would work out well. I flew home, called Molly, surprised her with dinner and flowers and then proposed at the restaurant. She accepted, and we made plans to get married as soon as we could. I wanted to make love that night, but Molly said she was so emotionally drained that she couldn't possible enjoy it so we just curled up together and fell asleep in each other's arms. We were married 6 weeks later and things were great. Molly moved into my home and continued to work. She enjoyed what she did and saw no reason not to continue. I agreed since it made her happy and she always had stories to tell me in the evenings. We continued to grow as a couple and Molly got to know most of my friends. They continued to come to the house to stay and Molly seemed to fit right in with my friends. I was happier than I had been in my life. Molly Life with Jim was just great. We both worked at jobs we loved, but we spent every weekend traveling and loving and just enjoying each other's company. I turned most of my duties over to the other nurses and became more of a teacher than a supervisor. My nurses, as a result, became much valued by the doctors and the interns, as they were the best in the hospital. Most went on to better duties and all remained close friends. I had a ball and things just kept getting better. Jim had opened two more shops and had taken on two new accounts; Honda and Kawasaki. This required more training and Jim set up courses for his mechanics. Jim, of course, had to also take the courses to keep his hand in and help to train more service mechanics. Money was never an issue in our marriage so we never had to decide for or against anything either of us wanted. Fortunately, neither of us wanted more than each other. About a year after we were married, Jim and I discussed children. We found that we both wanted children and decided that we would begin our family. We picked the date of July 4th, about a month and a half from then, as the day I would go off the pill. We were both thrilled at the prospect of becoming parents, Jim probably more that I. I wanted kids but he had an almost fanatic desire to become a father. I don't know why, since his father had been great to him. He had died some years ago and I guess Jim never quite got over it. He wanted to carry on the job his father had started. I had read that going off the pill did not mean that it was a guarantee that I would get pregnant right away. Most books said that it could take several months for the body to get back to normal egg production and that it may take up to a year to get pregnant. I decided that I would stop the pills now so that when we really tried, we would just be ahead of the game. I stopped that day. I didn't tell Jim that I had stopped but I knew he wouldn't care even if I got pregnant right away. With the new franchises just opened, Jim took Tiny and Tony and went on a whirlwind trip to cover all of the shops to be sure things were in place for the new lines. He planned to be gone just over 3 weeks and asked if I would be OK. I assured him that things would be fine and that I had Ali if I needed anything. He agreed and left the next day. We talked every day and things were fine, but I was particularly horny since I had stopped with the pills. I reminded him that it would be just about time to start our family when he returned. He mumbled something about catching the next plane but I told him to cool his jets till he could come back ready to do his duty. After about 2 weeks after Jim left, I was working in the stockroom on the reorders for the medical devices I needed. I was doing this a day early so that I could be done before Ron was due to arrive. I had begun this to assure that he would not find me in the stockroom when he stopped in for his order. I had met with Ron on two occasions after I met Jim and both times left me feeling sad and guilty. After the second time, I finally decided that I was done with Ron and that I would never again cheat on my husband to be. Probably too little, too late, but I did commit. I was not concentrating on what I was doing and was daydreaming about Jim when I felt an arm go around my waist and soft lips touch my neck and shoulder. I shivered and leaned back, thinking of the love that I felt for him and anticipating his return. I stopped thinking and just remembered the wonderful feeling of making love with Jim and how wonderful it made me feel. While I was lost in the lust and illusion of making love to my husband, Ron quickly pushed my skirt up to my waist and pushed my panties aside and slid his cock into me before I even knew what was happening. The feeling of his cock, my pussy wet with desire, and the lust that washed over me was more than enough to bring on a swift climax. By the time I came down from that overwhelming feeling, Ron had already cum in me and was pulling out. I was leaning over the table with my hands holding me up when I suddenly realized what had just happened and that Ron had cum inside me while I was off the pill. I panicked, turned and yelled at him to get out. He tried to calm me down but I just pushed him away and again yelled at him with tears pouring down my face. I said, "Get out, get out, oh my God, just get away from me!" He left looking concerned. I immediately pulled my panties in place and rushed down the hall to the restroom. I tried to clean myself out as best I could and prayed that nothing would happen. I felt dirty and so panicked that I couldn't catch my breath. I finished my shift without seeing Ron and left as soon as I could. I went home and took a long shower, trying to wash away the sin of what I had just done. I prayed that God would not punish me and that everything would be all right. I talked with Jim when he called that afternoon but did not let him know my distress. He suspected nothing and I felt some relief. That soon disappeared and I fell asleep on the bed in my bathrobe crying and awoke later feeling like I had not slept a wink. As the day progressed, I tried to make a deal with God that everything would be OK, that Jim would never find out what I had done and that we would still share all of the good things we had together. I was beginning to feel better when the phone rang. It was Jim, telling me that he was at the airport and would be home within the hour. I was so happy, I cried and told him to hurry. I believed now that everything would be OK. Having Jim home with me would make everything right again. When Jim arrived, I smothered him with kisses and told him to take me to bed immediately. He did and we made love for the rest of the evening. I couldn't get enough of him and I did everything I knew to make him happy. He wondered at the attention, but I told him that I had saved it all up for him. He accepted that and just relaxed and enjoyed it. I hoped that Jim could make me pregnant and I could then stop worrying about what had happened with Ron. And I prayed. Well, six weeks after Ron and Jim both fucked me on the same day, I was pregnant. I didn't know whose it was, but I prayed and prayed. It would be some time before I could find out and I wasn't sure I wanted to know just yet. If it was Jim's, I knew everything was going to be OK. If it wasn't Jim's, I knew I had to keep it from him as long as I could. Maybe it wouldn't be obvious if it was Ron's and Jim would never suspect anything. I was still really delighted to be pregnant and I was looking forward to telling Jim about it. It was something we both wanted and I knew he would be delighted. I could only hope that it was his. Jim Once we were married, life was even better than I had hoped it would be. We both worked, spent all of our free time together, traveled around to places we wanted to see and in general, just enjoyed being with each other. On the weekends, we stayed in bed a lot and made love several times. We went out to eat a lot. Weekends were great. As business continued to grow, we added Honda and Kawasaki to our lines and added two new shops. This required a lot of time to train and hire new people so I was in and out of the office a lot and made several overnights to one shop of the other. Money just kept coming in and I had more than I ever needed or wanted. I set up several investment accounts in both Molly and my names. I hired a good accountant and let him handle the money. He must have been pretty good cause money just continued to come in. Just after our first anniversary, I asked Molly how she would feel about starting a family. I wanted children but I wasn't sure about her. I knew she loved them but we had not really discussed it for some time. Molly was delighted with the idea and said that she was ready to start anytime. We agreed on July 4th as our start date. This was the best time for both of us to allow uninterrupted lovemaking when her cycle said it was time. Anticipating the beginning of our family planning time, I scheduled a trip that I had been avoiding and set it up so that Tony and Tiny would go with me. Molly was not able to get away so I left Ali to take care of her while I was gone. I left on a Monday and we were gone just over 2 weeks when I decided that I had had enough. Even though I talked with Molly twice a day, it was murder being away from her for this long. I scheduled a flight out that day, leaving Tony and Tiny to finish up. They understood and had no problem. I arrived home and called Molly from the airport. She sounded as happy to know I was home as I was to be home. When I walked in the door at home, Molly attacked me as if she hadn't seen me in years. She kissed me and hugged me and cried all at the same time. She told me to take her to bed immediately and couldn't contain herself. She had me undressed before I even got to the bedroom. She did things that we hadn't done in months. Not that I minded, but I did wonder what had brought this on. She said that she had missed me more this time and didn't know why. I just reveled in the attention she gave my sore penis and me. It was tough but somebody had to do it!! Life was good when Molly told me six weeks later that she was pregnant. I said that I thought we were going to wait till July but she told me she had stopped the pills since it usually took time for her body to get with the program. She said that it apparently didn't need the time and that I must have been so eager that the little buggers just went ahead and found an egg to fertilize. She was delighted and so was I. Molly During my pregnancy, Jim was the typical doting father. He could not do enough for me and insisted that I quit when I was 6 months along. He worried that I would catch something working in the hospital since he read something about super bugs that lived there. As tired as I was normally and then to have to carry around this gigantic belly as well, I finally agreed and gave notice. I stayed home and took care of myself while the baby developed without any complications. We were happy and spent a lot of money fitting one of the spare rooms just off the master bedroom into a nursery. Jim got some contractors in to do the job and they outdid themselves. The room was painted pink (we knew the sex of the baby), he had someone do a mural on one of the walls, the furniture all matched and was pink and white and the carpet was an indoor/outdoor type that would clean up easily if spills occurred. Overall, it was beautiful. The lights were built in so that we had indirect lighting around the ceiling that gave the room a soft glow when dimmed. He also had them cut a door directly into the master bedroom so that we could enter the baby's room from our bedroom without having to go into the hall. This also made the bathroom accessible from the baby's room, which came in handy. The final days counted down and my pregnancy seemed to be going along as predicted by my OB/GYN. He said that he expected my labor to be short and that the baby should come quickly. He said I had excellent hips! We waited. The day finally came when I called Jim and said to get his ass home immediately! He was there in 15 minutes and we left for the hospital. I had called the Doctor who said he would meet us there. We arrived with my contractions just 7 minutes apart. Things were going well when complications set in. I delivered within 2 hours of arriving at the hospital but the bleeding would not stop afterwards. The doctors worked on me for about an hour before they were able to get everything stopped, but they had to do a complete hysterectomy. This meant no more babies. I was devastated but also happy to hear that our baby was OK and healthy. Jim was a wreck waiting to hear from the doctors. He finally got the word that I was going to be OK, and that the baby was OK but that I could have no other children. It was a shock in a number of ways to Jim, but as usual, he took it like the man that he is and came to see me with a smile on his face. He sat on the edge of the bed and leaned down to gently kiss me on the lips. He said quietly, "You did it girl. Our little girl is beautiful, just like her mother." I had tears in my eyes as I looked at him. The words were just what I needed to hear, but I couldn't stop the sadness when I told him that this would be our last child. He simply said, "She will be enough for us and we can give her all of the love we have." We cried together and held each other and the world seemed to get brighter as we faced it together. I was in the hospital for over a week following the surgery, but I healed with no further complications. Jennifer, our new baby, was strong and healthy and was thriving. I was with her the best part of every day and her daddy was there most of the time. We began our life as a family then. I was due to be discharged from the hospital when one of the nurses that had worked for me on the surgical wing stopped in to visit me. She and I were very tight and we had spent a lot of time together after work and sometimes on weekends. We parted for the most part when I started dating Jim, but we remained friends. I asked her to do me a favor. She said she would do anything within reason. I said to her, "I need you to check the records and find out what my daughter's blood type is. I also need you to do it so that no one knows what you are doing, especially Jim." She looked at me strangely, but said she would find out for me. She left, saying that she would see me tomorrow with the information. I thanked her and lay in bed thinking of what I was going to do if the news was what I feared. I finally fell into a fitful doze and awoke later feeling as if I had just finished a hard shift at work. Jim came in shortly afterwards and I forgot how I felt and just enjoyed him and my baby girl. Sally came in the next day and handed me a slip of paper. I said, "Is this it?" She said it was and I said that I would open it later. She asked me what was up and I told her that I didn't want to talk about it yet. She accepted that and left to go to work. I asked her to stop by after her shift and she agreed. When she left, I opened the piece of paper and read the result; blood type A+. I felt as if someone had just kicked me in the gut. I think I actually lost consciousness for a brief time. This is what I had feared. This meant Jim was not the father! I was type O negative and Jim was Type AB negative. Jennifer could not be Jim's baby! Oh, God! What was I going to do? I began to sob and was still sobbing 20 minutes later when the nurse brought Jennifer in for her morning feeding. She asked me what was wrong and I told her I thought I was just having troubles adjusting to the change in my hormones after the operation. I smiled and said that I was fine and that having my baby in my arms was all the medicine I needed. She helped me get to the chair and then gave me the bottle so I could begin. She left and I just held my baby and wondered what I was going to do now. By the time Sally returned, I knew what I had to do. I told her that I had had an affair with Ron, who she knew well, and that the baby was actually his. I told her that I had broken it off with Ron but that time that resulted in Jennifer's conception was a mistake compounded by Jim's traveling and Ron showing up a day early. I told her, by the time I realized what Ron was doing, it was too late. I swore her to secrecy and asked her to get the baby's record and change the blood type to AB-. She protested that it would be a crime but I convinced her to do this for me. I told her that only Jim would see it once we left the hospital and that I would see to it that Jennifer carried a card with her that would have the correct blood type on it. She finally agreed, but only because she knew what it would do to Jim if he found out. And, as an aside, she said, "You know what he would do to Ron if he found out!" I didn't want to even think about that. We went home the next day, all three of us, and I tried to forget what I knew. I loved Jim and Jennifer more than I loved life itself and knew that I would die if the truth became known. I vowed on that day that Jim would never know. I dedicated my life on that day to making Jim and Jennifer the center of my life and to make their lives as wonderful as it was within my power to do. That was the only way I was going to be able to live with myself! Jim Jennifer was born amid complications with the pregnancy and we almost lost Molly. I didn't know how I would live if I lost Molly, but thank God, that didn't happen. The doctors finally came out to tell me that they had finally stopped the bleeding and that Molly was going to be fine, but that she would never have any more children. At the time, I just thanked them for giving me back my wife and giving me a beautiful healthy baby girl. I knew that later we would have to face the loss of future children, but it didn't seem that important at that particular time. I saw Molly and we just held each other and looked at our baby and realized that life was going to be OK. I told her that I loved her and the baby and that we would simply give our child everything we had. She agreed and seemed to be fine. I hoped so. Molly came home a week after the surgery and we settled in as a family. Molly became the center of our lives together and we made plans for Jennifer's care and for her future. I had opened an account for her on the day she was born. We decided then that she was going on to college and we knew she would be the best at whatever she tried. We were proud parents and Molly was a perfect mother. She couldn't do enough for the baby and for me. I worried about her strength after what she had been through, but she wanted to pitch in immediately and started with meals and taking care of the house and taking care of me, even to the point of sexually satisfying me orally or by hand even before she was able to resume normal love making. I told her that wasn't necessary, but she disagreed and said that it was necessary! I stopped fighting since I certainly enjoyed her ministrations. Up until Jennifer was about 6 months old, things were as good as they could get. I often thought that if this was all life had to offer, I could die happy. I had everything I ever wanted and more. That was till the day I took Jennifer to the hospital for a routine checkup. Her pediatrician was on staff and I often saw him there instead of in his other office. He was a personal friend and was also a customer. Special Day Ch. 02 I had put Jennifer in the care of the day care center in the hospital while we waited since I knew the lady in charge from visiting when Molly was still working. I also knew where the nurses' lounge was and that they had the best coffee in the hospital. After dropping Jennifer off, I still had about 20 minutes before her appointment so I slipped down for a cup of java. I found a cup, poured myself a cup and leaned against the counter next to the coffee maker and just enjoyed. I was aware of two nurses that were setting in the lounge when I came in but they couldn't see me where I was sipping my coffee. I wasn't looking for any company. They began to speak to each other about that "beautiful baby girl". I perked up since they could be talking about my Jennifer. As a proud papa, I liked to hear favorable comments about my girl. "Hey, Peggy, did you see Molly's little girl?" the first nurse said. "I sure did. She is a real beauty. I guess she takes after her daddy. And you know which one I mean." Sally said, "You mean Ron, don't you? I didn't think anybody else knew. Molly had me check the blood type when she was here during her recovery. It wasn't compatible with her husband so she asked me to change the record that they were given to take home." "What did she say when you told her?" "She didn't say much except that it was an accident and she wasn't going to tell her husband. He would probably kill Ron if he found out. You know he is a motorcycle jockey and knows all kinds of people that would do that sort of thing." "I hear he is a sweetie! I can't believe he would hurt her." "I don't think so either, but you never know." I had stopped breathing during this conversation. I think my heart stopped and my legs began to get weak and I had to leave the lounge as quickly as I could before I threw up my breakfast and the coffee I had just drunk. As a matter of fact, I just made it to the restroom when my stomach emptied everything in it. I sat on my knees on the piss-covered floor in that stall and heaved my guts out. I wished I could just die there on the spot and not have to face what I had just heard. The only thing that stopped me from putting my head in the john and drowning myself was my daughter. She was waiting for me and I couldn't let her down. My daughter? Suddenly, I was not sure of anything. Who was the woman I was married to? What the hell did she do to me and to us? Who the hell was Ron and why was he the father of my baby? Was any of this true? I had to find out the truth and I had to find out as soon as I could figure out how to do it. The first thing I had to do was find out if Jennifer was truly mine. I began to see a plan forming. I took Jennifer from the day care to her appointment with John Simpson, the pediatrician and a friend. He welcomed me and we talked shop for a few minutes while he looked Jennifer over. He was generally pleased with her progress and told me that she was developing as expected, maybe even a little faster than normal. He smiled as he said, "Well papa, how are things going with the family? I know you and Molly have to be proud of this little bundle of joy." I just looked at him while I considered what I was about to do. "John, let me ask you a question. If I asked you to do a favor for me, one that involves a medical question, could you treat it as a doctor/patient thing?" He looked at me with a strange look on his face and said "Sure, if that's what you want. I can't even tell Molly if you tell me not to." I nodded and hesitated. Finally, I said, "I want you to test me and Jennifer and tell me whether she is my daughter." John looked totally shocked. "Why in the world would you doubt that? I can't believe Molly would ever be unfaithful to you. She loves you and this child as much as anyone I have ever met." He shook his head and said that he couldn't believe this was something I would ever ask. "You and Molly and great together and everyone I know consider you to be the perfect couple. I've known you for all the time you have been married and I am totally confused!" "John, please just do this for me and if I'm wrong, we'll forget that I ever mentioned it. I can assure you that I will be the first one to say I was an idiot." John stared at the wall and finally said, "OK, the quickest way to tell is to do a blood test for type. Do you know what your blood type is?" I answered, "My blood type is AB- and Molly is Type O-. I know her type cause she told me she was what they called a universal donor." John said that was a perfect place to start since Jennifer could only have a negative blood type factor. He said that we could at least determine if I could be the father, which would be a positive. If that were true, he would then submit the tests for DNA, a definitive test. I asked him how long the blood test would take and he said he would call me this evening at home. He took the samples and we left to go back home. I admit I wasn't too comfortable to be going home feeling the way I was; I was angry, scared, determined and confused. I didn't know what I would say to Molly. I knew I had to be cool and together. I couldn't let her know something was wrong or that I had something bothering me. I steeled myself when I walked in the door. "Hi, you two. What took you so long? Was everything perfect as I predicted?" Sally was in the kitchen fixing lunch for us. I put Jennifer in her playpen and walked into the kitchen. "Everything was perfect. John said that he thought Jen was developing as expected and maybe faster than normal." He took blood to be safe but didn't expect any problems. I grabbed a coke out of the fridge and said, "He may call later tonight to talk about a cycle he wants to try. If he calls let me know." With that I walked into the den we used as an office and called Tiny. "Tiny, it's me. I need to talk to you as soon as possible. Can you come by?" "Sure thing, boss man. I'll be there in about an hour." I hung up and decided to work in the garage for an hour or so until Tiny arrived. I had forgotten about lunch till Molly called to come to eat. I dreaded going in to make small talk while we ate. I walked into the kitchen and said, "I was sick to my stomach at the hospital this morning and I think I'll skip lunch if you don't mind. I think I just have a slight cold, nothing serious. John said to just drink as much water as I could and let it pass. He said I didn't have a temp." I was amazed that I could lie so easily to someone I loved as much as I loved Molly. But, I thought, it seems that she can do it even better. I reminded myself that I didn't yet know if that were true, but I really didn't have many doubts. I knew Sally was Molly's best friend and what she told the other nurse was probably true. Molly had never given me the slightest hint that she had cheated on me, but that was probably because she was so very good at hiding it. I was the dumb one, not even suspecting that something like this could be true. When Tiny arrived, I took him into my office and told him the whole story, leaving out nothing and spilling my guts to one of the only persons left in this world that I could trust with my life and my family. The one I thought I could trust with anything had betrayed me. That thought was tearing me apart. Tiny listened, didn't react until I was finished with my story. He surprised me by saying "We can't do nothing until doctor John calls. Even then, we may not know enough. Boss man, you have to be dead sure before you do something." He looked at me with a sad look and continued "You can't do nothing to Molly even if you find out that this is true. If you even think about it, you'll have to answer to me. OK?" "I couldn't hurt Molly regardless of what she has done. She is still my life and my love." "OK. She is good people and may have just screwed up once. We don't know. We have to find out though and I know just how to start. I have a good friend that is a PI. He's a good one, too. He can keep his mouth shut and he'll do the job for me if I ask. Give me everything you can about Molly, her job, this guy Ron and the dates she worked at the hospital and when she quit. I know Jennifer's birthday so I got that much. I'll get him started today. We can at least learn what we can about this Ron guy." I felt better after Tiny left with the information I gave him. He had the ball and I could at least forget for a while, at least until John's call came in. With that, I went into the house to be with my family. It was easier to do than I had expected. I loved both of my girls, in spite of what I feared may be true. Jennifer was my daughter, regardless of what the blood test showed and Molly was my wife, even if she had cheated on me. I needed to know more, but I wasn't ready to give up on my family, my life! John called about 6:30 that evening. Molly talked with him for about 5 minutes and then asked if he wanted to talk to me about a new cycle. John must have said the right thing because Molly laughed and signaled that she was done. I took the call in the office. "What's the answer?" I asked, as I picked up the extension. "Are you interested in that new cycle? I listened until I heard the phone click as Molly hung up the kitchen phone. "OK, she is off. What's the verdict?" I waited for his answer. He said, "I'm afraid I have very bad news, Jim. The baby's blood type is type A+. You can't possibly be the biological father." With that statement, I knew all I had believed in was a lie. Special Day Ch. 03 Molly After we had settled in at home, I quickly got myself back up and began taking charge of caring for Jennifer and running the house. Jim wanted to bring in someone to help but I told him I wanted to do this for myself. He said why not let one or two of the girls down at the cycle shop help with the cooking and cleaning and laundry. I refused and told him to get back to work and let me do my job. He finally agreed when he saw that I was fully capable of doing what had to be done. In truth, I almost died the first week but things began to get easier and I found that when I was busy, I didn't think. I didn't want to think. I was afraid to think and when I did think, I usually ended up crying. So, I worked until I was so tired, I collapsed. I kept this up for the first month we were home and then I began to get a system going that allowed me free time. I didn't welcome that free time so I began to look for something to fill that time. I was setting in my rocker with Jennifer taking a bottle when I thought about Jim. He had been without me for the last almost 3 months. He hadn't said a word because of my operation and earlier because of my pregnancy. He had been celibate for way too long. While I wasn't ready to resume love making the way we wanted, I certainly thought that I could take care of Jim's needs in several very pleasant ways for him. I determined to put this plan into effect that very night. When Jim said that he was ready for bed, I told him I would join him. We went upstairs and Jim got ready for a shower. I waited until I heard the water running and quickly shed my PJs and got into the shower with him. He was surprised, but pleasantly I thought. He said, "What are you doing? The doctor said we couldn't have sex for another 5 weeks." I replied with a smile, "He said we couldn't have intercourse for another 5 weeks, he didn't say anything about this." With that, I dropped to my knees and took his flaccid penis into my warm willing mouth. It didn't take very long before he was as hard as I had ever seen him. He leaned back against the shower wall and signed a deep contented sigh. I looked up at him as I began to slide my mouth up and down his hard shaft, swirling my tongue around the head as I almost came off of his cock. I would then close my lips and move back down the shaft, all the time caressing his balls. I did this for only about 5 minutes when he groaned and let me know that he was ready. I sucked harder and put my arms around his hips to pull him into my mouth. I looked up at his face as he began to fuck my mouth. He was in another world and I was so glad that it was me that sent him there. I held him as tight as I could and encouraged him to cum. He did with a blast that took me by surprise. There was so much and it lasted so long, that I knew he had been missing me for way too long. He looked down at me and said, "I really love you, did you know that?" I just smiled and continued to play with his now deflated penis. "I really love you too and I just wanted to remind you of that." He pulled me to my feet and asked what I wanted. I replied that I was content and wanted only to please him until I was ready to resume lovemaking. He knew that I never liked to have him go down on me so he didn't suggest it and I didn't want him to do it. He tried to use his hand but I discouraged him with a smile. "We can do this whenever you want to and I want you to tell me when you need me. I have more things we can try so don't be shy." He looked so happy, I almost cried. I was happy again for a brief moment. Before the reality returned. Things began to get better over the next few months. We were able to resume lovemaking and Jennifer continued to develop without any problems. We were getting into a rhythm as a family of three and things seemed to be settling down. I was able to forget for longer periods of time and I hoped that, as time passed, I would eventually forget for good. Fat chance, but one can hope. All was good until one time when Jennifer was six months old. I was not feeling well so Jim said he would take Jennifer to see John, her pediatrician. John was a good friend of Jim's so I knew he would have no problems. I didn't even think much about it until Jim came home and told me everything was OK, but that John had taken blood to confirm. I suddenly remembered what I had Sally do to the blood type records. I almost panicked until I remembered that Jim had never even looked at the record so he had no idea of her blood type. I doubted that Jim would even check that so I finally relaxed. When John called, I chatted with him for a while and nothing seemed amiss so I felt that he hadn't noticed anything wrong with the blood testing. Jim didn't seem to suspect anything as time progressed so I gradually began to think life would go on. Jim After Molly took Jennifer up to bed, I called Tiny on his cell and gave him the news about the blood test. He said, "Damn, I was hoping that it wasn't true. Like I said though, boss man, you don't do anything to Molly until we have more info." I told him that I would never hurt Molly regardless of what she did. He told me he knew that, but he didn't want me to make any decisions until things calmed down. It was clear that he really loved Molly and Jennifer as though they were his own and I was as important to him as his own father. I assured him that I would wait while he got things moving. He said he had already contacted his friend and gotten him started. In the meantime, I wasn't sure how I was going to live with Molly as though everything was all right. She certainly knew the truth but didn't have enough respect for me or our marriage to be honest enough to tell me. Why had she kept this from me? Was she still seeing this Ron character? How long had she been cheating on me with this guy? Every time I traveled? Maybe during the day when she was at work, or after her shift when she told me she was working a few hours over. I certainly didn't know anything about him and she never gave me any indication that she was unhappy with me or with our lovemaking. What I wanted to do was to confront her immediately with her infidelity and have it out. I was all set to do just that when it suddenly occurred to me that I could possibly loose more than a wife. What if she decided that she was going to take Jennifer away from me with the support of the real father? What if I couldn't even see her or visit her once we had divorced? That would kill me, even after only 6 months with her. I knew I could never give her up and I decided then and there that I would do everything in my power to keep her. If that meant living a lie with Molly, so be it. Over the next several days, I continued to avoid intimate contact with Molly while waiting for word from Tiny and his investigator friend. It was made much easier by only having to see her in the evenings when I could spend most of my time with the baby. Molly was usually tired when I finally got home so she had no problem with my spending time with Jennifer giving her time to relax. Bedtime was also no problem with her being exhausted. In this way, I passed the next week waiting for information. Finally one evening about a week after we had first talked about finding out more information, Tiny called and asked me to meet him at the shop. I agreed and told Molly that I had to go to the shop for about an hour but would be home before 9. She hardly noticed so I left. When I arrived at the downtown cycle shop where I had begun my business venture almost 7 years ago, Tiny was there with a tall, black man almost as big as Tiny. He introduced him as Woody Tree, a private investigator. My first comment was "You're kidding with the name, right?" The big guy looked at me with no sign of a smile and said "No." That was all. I dropped it right then and said with great respect, "Sorry Mr. Tree, what do you have for me?" Woody proceeded to give me note and verse on Ron Davis. Most of the information was about him and his personal affairs, his wife and children, where they lived, how long they had been married and all of the personal stuff. He had pictures of each person he mentioned and a complete dossier on each. He also gave me the information on Ron Davis and the company he owned. He said that he called on the hospital where Molly worked about once every 6 weeks and dealt directly with Molly for resupply of the department disposable medical supplies. He had discretely talked with several nurses and found who liked Molly and who didn't. He spoke with the ones who didn't and got the strong impression that most of the nurses knew about Molly's affair with Mr. Davis. He also discovered that the affair had been ongoing for over two years, but also got the distinct impression that things had cooled off over the last year. He said that he was working on a more complete timetable but that this was the essence of what he had found. I asked him if he had any information on Mr. Davis that might help to put some pressure on him. Woody just smiled and handed me a folder that contained the names and addresses and phone numbers of seven women who Mr. Davis was currently having affairs with. I asked him how he came by the information. He replied, "I gave you what you wanted cause Tiny asked me to help. I won't ask what you intend to do so don't you ask me how I do what I do, OK?" "OK" I agreed. I then asked him if he would make it a point to continue to keep a watch on Ron Davis and just let me know if he and Molly ever made contact. If not, no notice was necessary. I told him that Tiny would take care of the cost and that cost was not an object. Woody said the cost was the cost and that was all there was to it. But, he agreed and said that he would do that as requested. I thanked him and he left. Tiny and I sat and talked for some time that evening and he finally convinced me that we needed to go out and have a drink before I went home. He wanted to be sure that I calmed down so that I could control myself. I thought he had a good idea and we ended up completely sloshed. I finally decided to call Molly and leave word that I was going to stay at the shop since I had had a few too many with a new client. She didn't answer so I left the message on the machine. Too damn bad if she didn't like me staying out. At least I was not cheating on her, even though I was investigating her. Not the same thing. Molly Jim has been very moody since the day he took Jennifer to the pediatrician. I did worry but he didn't say anything to suggest that he was suspicious. I still wondered what was bothering him but decided that he would tell me when he thought the time was right. The phone call the other night saying that he was staying out since he had too much to drink was quite disturbing, since Jim rarely gets that drunk. He drinks when he is with others, or when he is depressed or anxious, but he always switched to coke or 7 UP after a few. He knows I don't like it when he is drunk and don't want him around the baby that way. I wasn't sure why he was drinking this time but chalked it up to his moodiness over the past few weeks. I wondered then for the hundredth time whether I should tell Jim the truth. I had told Ron that we were through the next time I saw him after that time he had almost raped me when I was off the pill, and that I wanted him to work with one of the other nurses. We saw very little of each other after that up until the time I quit. Ron showed up at the going away party and we barely spoke. He tried to get my attention but I moved away every time he got close. He finally figured out that I did not want to talk to him so he finally gave up. I finally did talk with Ron one day on the phone and told him the truth about the baby. I also told him that I would tell his wife about us if he made any attempt to talk to Jim or to see the baby. I said that my marriage was the most important thing in my life and that I had done enough to screw it up. I told him that I simply prayed that I could get past it and that he was not needed in my world any longer. He argued that the baby was his and he had a right to see her and be in her life, but I told him angrily that that was never going to happen. We ended the discussion with a threat on my part and a reluctant promise from him. I hoped this was the end of that chapter of my life. Over the next few months, I sensed a distance between Jim and me that I couldn't explain and that he would never admit to. I asked him about it on several occasions but he just said that he was working too hard or that he had things at work that were worrying him. I tried to actively seduce him on several occasions but he was not interested. That scared me and I began to suspect that he knew something. In desperation, I suggested that he think about retiring or selling the business, but he said he had no desire to do either, since the business was what kept him going. I said with a pout, "I thought I was what kept you going." He gave me the strangest look but finally smiled and said that I was right and that he had the greatest family a man could ask for. That look bothered me for the rest of the evening, but I eventually forgot about it with the demands of a small daughter. Jim I stewed about the information I had on Ron Davis. I didn't know how I wanted to handle it but knew that I had to do something. I talked with Tiny and Ali and stewed some more. I know that Molly suspected something was bothering me but I kept giving her the story about work and clients and anything else I could blame. I lived for my daughter and I still loved my wife but I knew now that I could no longer trust her or believe in her. The hole that left in my ego was a huge void that I tried to fill with work and my daughter. Molly continued to be the loving wife and tried to get me to confide in her but I couldn't take the chance of losing my daughter in a pissing contest. Something had to give. I finally formed a plan that I thought might give me all the advantages I needed in dealing with this whole situation. I talked with an attorney that I retained for my business interests and he said he could handle what I wanted. I told him to expedite it and let me know when all was ready. One morning about a week later, I called Tiny and Ali and told them to meet me at the shop. I told them that Mr. Davis and I had to talk and I wanted some muscle to help me convince him to do things my way. If my plan worked, I would no longer have to worry about Ron and my wife and wouldn't have to worry about losing my daughter if it came to divorce. I called Woody Tree and asked him to find out where Mr. Ron Davis would be this afternoon about 1:30. He called me back 5 minutes later with an address. He said that Davis would be there for most of the afternoon. I was going to ask him how he did that so fast, but remembered our earlier conversation and simply said thanks. Tiny and Ali showed up about then and I briefed them on my plan. They were all for it. At 1:30, I knocked on the door to Mr. Davis' office at his place of business. He had no secretary so I had just wandered in and asked the first person I saw where he was. They showed me the way without hesitation. "Come in." I entered a small, cramped office without windows. Tiny and Ali were behind me, and the three of us sort of made a crowd. No matter, since I did not plan to remain there any longer than necessary. "Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jim Morrison. I believe you know my wife Molly Morrison very intimately." I continued pleasantly, "I would like to talk with you a while and say some things that I feel need to be said. I would appreciate if you would just keep your fucking mouth shut while I am talking." I looked at him and waited for a response. He kept looking at Tiny and Ali and then back to me with a frightened look on his face. I liked that. Since I am 6' 4" in my stocking feet and weigh in at just over 260 pounds, I think that the sight of Tiny and I, backed up by a bull like Ali was enough to frighten most people if we weren't smiling. I wasn't smiling. He finally looked at me and said, "I don't know what you want from me. I know your wife from the hospital. She does business with me but that's all." He hesitated and finally decided to try to bluff it out. "I want you and your 'friends' to leave my office or I will call the police." I looked at Tiny and Ali and said, "He wants the police. Why don't you convince him that this is not a good idea?" At that, both moved around me and behind the desk where Ron Davis was setting. Ali put a ham hand on Ron's shoulder and applied just a little pressure. I could see Mr. Davis wince and begin to squirm. Tiny put a hand on the other shoulder and Mr. Davis immediately stopped moving. He just sat there sweating. He looked up at me and said very quietly, "I don't think we need the police." I smiled at him, sat down in the only chair in the office and began. "Here is the deal I want to propose. You will sign these forms I happen to have with me, have your office girl notarize them, and we will be almost finished with each other. The first is a waiver of parental rights to my daughter, Jennifer. In case you didn't know, you are the biological father. That should take care of the "just business" claim that you made about your relationship with my wife. The second document is an agreement to permit me to adopt Jennifer as my daughter. This, with the waiver of parental rights, will take you completely out of the picture. That is important to me and I insist that you agree to these terms. In return, I will agree not to send the following information to your wife." With that, I handed him a sheet of paper with the biological results showing him to be Jennifer's biological father, Molly's name and address and phone number, as well as a list Woody had given me of the other women he was having relations with. Ron Davis looked at the list and slumped down, completely defeated. He said, "Please, whatever you want. Please don't tell my wife about this. I have three daughters that I love. I don't want to hurt them. Just because I screwed up, please don't destroy their lives." I looked at him in disgust. This was the scum that Molly had cheated on me for. This was the SOB that was Jennifer's biological father. This was the scum that I wanted to kill. However, killing him would probably mean that I wouldn't be there for my daughter. He wasn't worth it. I continued, "Here is the rest of the proposal. First, you will never see Molly again. I mean it. If you need to do business in the hospital, you send someone else. If you see her on the street, run like hell. If she calls you on the phone, hang up. Nothing else is acceptable. I will have you watched around the clock. If you fuck this up, you are dead." "Second, I would suggest you sell your business and move out of the state. As long as you are here in Ohio, I may have reason to change my mind. If I change my mind, you are dead. I think 3 months should be long enough to find a buyer and make the deal. I know this seems harsh, but it is what I want." I looked to Tiny and Ali. "These two gentlemen will be in contact with you over the next couple of months just to be sure we are all proceeding as planned." Tiny and Ali smiled and squeezed their respective shoulders again to remind Ron that they were still there. "Do we have a deal?" "Yes, we have a deal. Give me the papers and I will call in the notary" Once he had signed the papers, notarized them and given me the originals, I signaled Tiny and Ali to leave. I wanted one more minute with Mr. Davis. After they had gone, I asked Ron for some details of their affair. He was willing to give me what I wanted and after 15 minutes of his talking and my listening with occasional questions, I finally left. Special Day Ch. 03 I never talked to or saw him again. Tiny conducted all further business with Ron Davis from that point on. At least I knew that Molly would not be meeting or talking with him from that day on. I also knew that Jennifer was safely mine since I had Molly's signature on the adoption papers already. She didn't even know she had signed it and I had no intention of telling her. My attorney would file the papers the next day. Now, all I had to do was decide what to do about my marriage. At least now I could do it without the added pressure of losing my daughter. After all, I had the biological father's permission to adopt and Molly's infidelity would give me the lever I needed in divorce proceedings, should they come about. I was finally able to relax and think about my problem carefully and without fear. Molly Jim came home yesterday looking more relaxed and was considerably more fun to be around than he had been in several weeks. I asked him if every thing had gone his way finally, and he just smiled. He said, "You wouldn't believe it if I told you. Let's just say, I now feel like I have control of my life back where it belongs." I certainly was happy with his new attitude. I think I felt for the first time as if we were going to be OK. I know I had been under considerable strain thinking the worst and waiting for the shoe to fall, but it appeared that everything would be fine. I said a small prayer and continued my quest to be the best wife and mother I could be. In this way, I would try to make up for my mistakes and work to make my marriage as solid as it could be. Jim I decided finally that I still loved Molly and that the information Ron Davis had given me was enough to allow me to go on. There was no way I could conceive of a life where Molly was not in it. She and Jennifer were my life and without either one of them, I could not be complete. I don't think I ever forgave her but she was a good wife and mother and I allowed myself to forget. She never gave me a reason to doubt her then or at anytime in our marriage, even though I reminded myself that she had done just that. We went forward from that day on and our life was good. We both loved Jennifer and when I found myself remembering the past, I just worked harder, or played with Jennifer, or took my wife out to a nice dinner and tried to forget. We had a good love life with Molly doing things for me she had never done before. She was willing to try anything I suggested and never complained about anything I asked her to do. I never pushed her in this regard, but it certainly was pleasant. She seemed to enjoy it as well. I knew that part of it was guilt on her part, but it also seemed very real and, I hoped it was. I hoped that in this way, we could both forget her experiences with Ron Davis. I knew, from my discussion with him, that their assignations were never very long or their sex very original. He actually said that he always felt Molly used him more for the sex than he ever used her. She wanted vaginal sex only and never participated in oral sex. He said that this frustrated him but she would not even consider it. I believed that this was what led her to try other things with me; a desire to put her sex with Ron into the background and to make her memories with me totally different in that regard. Our lives continued until a week before Jennifer turned 18. Molly After that day that Jim said things finally went his way, our lives returned to normal and we enjoyed each other and our daughter. In fact, we did things we had never done, went places we had never been and tried things in the bedroom that were new and different. I never denied Jim anything in our sex life and he never asked for things I wouldn't want to do. The variety we did have was enough to make for truly great lovemaking. I loved making love with my husband and enjoyed making him happy. Our lives continued until one day, just before Jennifer's 18th birthday, Ron Davis called me at home to tell me that he was in Cleveland and wanted to see me. I refused and slammed the phone down. I was shaking and began to cry. I thought this was over and that I wouldn't have to face the reality of Jennifer's conception. Jennifer was an adult and would be leaving for school. It was now unlikely that Jim would ever have to know and I had fooled myself into believing that it was over. Damn him! He called again the next day and said that he would continue to call me until I agreed to see him. He only wanted to talk to me and discuss Jennifer. I finally listened to him and agreed to meet him. He told me where he was staying and I arranged to meet him the next day, Monday. I collected some pictures, a couple of videos of earlier birthday parties and some other things to show him. I was never going to allow him to see her or meet her or talk to her. I would take steps to prevent him from doing anything to have Jim find out the truth. I was even thinking of something desperate like getting one of our friends to rough him up or even to kill him if it came to that. I knew all of Jim's friends and could get them to take care of a 'problem' for me without Jim knowing. I could probably get Tiny to do it for me. Killing may seem extreme, but it was in my mind and I would have no trouble getting someone to do it if it was going to threaten my family. I had already made up my mind that I could go through with it if Ron refused to do as I said. My thoughts were going in all different directions as I planned to meet Ron at the motel. I finally calmed down enough to drive to the motel and to find the room number that he had given me. It was almost like it used to be when he and I would meet for a quickie when he was in town. I remembered those times with a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. God, what a fool I was then. But today, I had a different meeting in mind. I was able to finally get my stomach under control and went to the room. Ron answered the door with my knock and reached to give me a welcome hug and kiss. I slapped his hands away and told him that this was not a pleasure trip so to back off! He looked shocked but did as I asked. He stood aside as I entered. The first thing I said to him was that I would tolerate nothing from him and if he even tried to do anything or suggested anything I would leave. He backed away and sat down in one of the chairs at the table in the small, dingy room. He agreed without any argument. I spent the next hour telling Ron about Jennifer. I relaxed and just let my love for her flow into words. He listened and only asked a few questions. I told him of her accomplishments and her love for both of us. I made sure that I told him of her devotion to Jim and her love for him. I let him know that I would not permit anything or anybody to come between Jennifer and her father. I reminded him of Jim's business and the contacts I had with many unsavory characters. I asked him if he understood what I was saying. He nodded yes. I showed him some pictures of Jennifer with her friends and with Jim and I. I also played some videos of earlier birthday parties so that he could get an idea of her vitality and her joy for life. Again, I reminded him that all of that came not from him, but from Jim. As I played the videos and showed him the pictures, he became very sad. I know that he was seeing a daughter that he had no chance of ever knowing or sharing a life with. However, I had no sympathy for him since he had a family of his own that he turned his back on every time he was with me. As I was ready to leave, I told him that he was not to contact Jennifer in any way at any time unless I told him it was OK. I told him that Jim did not know about him and that Jim had no idea that he was not Jennifer's biological father. I would not permit him to interfere in our lives unless I could assure myself that Jim would not be hurt. He finally agreed but said that he would be in town for another week and to call if anything changed. I left and never looked back. As I drove home, I told myself that I was not going to allow Ron to enter our lives at any point. Things were good at home and Jennifer was going to school in the fall. Maybe I could find some way for Ron to see her at some time in the future without Jim knowing anything. I wasn't sure how to arrange it with Jennifer but that was for later. I had no plans to tell Jim about Ron at that time and I doubted that I ever would unless somehow forced to change my mind. Why hurt him if it wasn't necessary? It was a painful time in my life and it could only make him unhappy and ruin what had been 17 wonderful years as a family. I could not see how confessing to a 17 year lie was going to do anyone any good. I had learned to live with it and I would carry the burden to my grave if fate were kind. There was no reason to impose that burden on anyone else. I forgot about Ron as I thought ahead to Jennifer's upcoming birthday party and the after prom party and the other things that made up my life; a life that I loved and would not give up without a fight. Jim I had forgotten that I had put Woody Tree on an annual retainer and that Tiny was making sure that Woody was keeping an eye on Ron Davis. Apparently Tiny had Woody give him an update once every couple of months for the first year or so and then a yearly report after that. Woody had put a contact out with someone he knew in the town where Ron Davis lived now. He followed his life via tracers on his home phone and his credit cards. Apparently, he still had most of the same cards he used for travel. Woody knew every time he came to Cleveland and always let Tiny know. Tiny usually made it a point to follow Ron for awhile when he came to town, probably hoping Ron would make a mistake and try to contact Molly. Never happened, until a week before Jennifer's birthday. When Woody let Tiny know that Ron was in town, Tiny followed him to the Holiday Inn. Tiny put a trace on him from the time he checked in. He was taking a turn watching the room when he saw Molly's car pull in and Molly get out. He perked up right away and watched to see where she went. Sure enough, she went to Ron's room and knocked on the door. He saw Ron open the door and reach to kiss Molly. He watched as she slapped his had away and had a glimmer of hope. His hope died after he waited for Molly to reappear. It wasn't until almost 2 hours later that she came out. She got into her car and left. He did not see Ron come out so he finally left. Tiny gave me the news of what he had seen with tears in his eyes. He said that he didn't know what went on in the room, but that Molly had remained there for over 2 hours. He told me she left and that he didn't see Ron come out of the room for over an hour after that. "What are you going to do, boss man?" Tiny was worried that I was going to do something foolish and he did not want that to happen. He looked at me hard and said, "Remember you have a daughter that needs you and a wife that loves you regardless of what she may have done." "I have no idea of what I am going to do. I know that I will have to tell Jennifer about Ron Davis and who he is. I also know that I can't live with Molly any longer if she is still involved with that piece of shit." I wondered if I even had a marriage any longer. If not, I had no idea of how I was going to live without Molly. It's strange how you can love someone so much that they control your life with their actions. They can make you happy and they can destroy you without even knowing it. Molly was my life and I had put her infidelity aside 17 years ago and had learned to live again. She had been my joy and my strength for all of those years. She had been my partner in building a life for Jennifer and us that was full of joy and laughter. She had never let me down in all those years. I would have bet my life on her love for me. It appeared that might have been a bad bet. I decided that I needed to make some plans. I took the information that I had kept all these years to my attorney and laid out the whole sordid story for him. He wanted to know what my plans were and I told him that I wanted to move to divorce Molly now that Jennifer was of age. I wanted to do so in an amicable way so that there would be no bitterness due to the conditions of the divorce. I told him Jennifer was already taken care of and needed nothing from us at this point. He said that all would be ready by the end of the week. Jennifer's birthday was Friday. I also put all of the information about Ron Davis on paper, made copies of the adoption papers and parental rights waiver and put all of those into a folder for Jennifer. I checked on the investment and had that changed over to Jennifer's control. That was something that Molly knew about and had agreed to. I was ready for Jennifer's 18th birthday, or was it to be the end of my life as I knew it to be then. I did not know what Jennifer would say when she found out that I was not her natural father and what she would say about her mother's infidelity. I may find that she would come to hate me for doing what I was going to do. It was a risk that I had to take for my own sanity. Only time would tell. Special Day Ch. 04 This is the final chapter of my first ever attempt at writing. I appreciate all of the comments I received, even the negative. I made many mistakes and I learned from all of the input. I'll try again soon. You are the best audience a new writer can have. Thanks Thecelt Jennifer. After dad left, I sat at the table and tried to make sense of all that I had heard that evening. It was clear that mom knew about my biological father and that she didn't know that dad knew. I wondered how long he had known and why mom didn't tell him. Why would she have cheated on dad so long ago? It seems like it was just after they were married and they should have still been madly in love. At least that's what I would have thought. It also seemed like mom loved dad with all her heart from what I knew having watched them together, heard her talk to him and about him with her friends and the way she treated him when they were together. I had never ever suspected that there was any trouble between them. I knew what I wanted to do. I called Tiny and asked him to pick me up early the next morning. He asked me if we were going car shopping and I told him we were going to meet my biological father! Damned if he didn't already know about him. He said, "Well, I guess boss man told you about him, huh, TW?" I said. "Well it appears he told you about it some time ago. How long have you known or is it a widely known secret? Was I the only one that didn't know?" "Hell, no it isn't. Only you now, me and Ali and your dad know. And, of course, little momma. He told us back when he first found out and we was with him when he went to talk to that Ron guy." Tiny appeared to be relieved to talk about it to me and he wanted to know what we were going to do. He said that he didn't think beating him up or killing him was going to go over with dad. I told him I just wanted to talk to him to try to get the whole story out of him. "I have no desire to get to know him or anything, but I need the truth about what happened 18 or 19 years ago. I want to meet the guy in the motel restaurant and I want to go in initially alone. After I get in and meet with the guy, I want you and Ali to come in and set down across from us." He agreed and said they would pick me up at 8:00 AM. Rather than confront mom tonight, I packed an overnight bag and went to my best friend Becky's house for the night. She was glad to put me up and didn't press me on what was up. I did tell her about the car and the account mom and dad had given me but I stopped there. I just told her that mom and I had a little disagreement and rather than say something stupid, I thought that maybe I should cool down away from home for the night. I told her that dad had left on business and would be gone for a while. She was cool and I enjoyed telling her about the car. The account blew her mind but she said we were rich anyway, so this was just my due. I laughed with her and felt somewhat better. I called the number on the envelope dad had given me and asked to be connected with Mr. Ron Davis. The clerk put my call through and Ron answered. I told him who I was and that I would like to meet him tomorrow morning at about 8:15 in the restaurant at the Holiday Inn where he was staying. He quickly agreed, asking me if my dad knew I was calling him. I told him that he was the one that gave me the number where he was staying. He was quite surprised and stuttered a little before saying he would be waiting for me in the restaurant. I suggested he leave his name with the waitress since I wouldn't recognize him. He agreed. All was set for tomorrow. I called dad and talked to him for a while, but didn't tell him what I was up to. I just told him that Tiny and Ali were picking me up tomorrow morning as planned and that I would call him later to tell him what I was up to. He asked how mom was and I told him I was staying with Becky tonight. He asked if that was a good idea considering that mom may need some support tonight. I told him that I did not think it would be a good idea for me to talk to mom as angry with her as I was. He finally agreed and asked if I had let her know where I was. I told him no, but that I would call as soon as I hung up. I did, she didn't answer, so I left a message letting her know where I was. That was all I was willing to do tonight. Right at 8:00, Tiny and Ali pulled up to Becky's house. Ali knocked on the door and Becky answered. "Hi, Ali. How you doing?" Ali reached down and grabbed Becky around the waist and lifted her up and gave her a big wet kiss on the forehead. "How's my number two girl, this morning?" Becky giggled like a little girl and said, "Put me down, you big gorilla!" "Jen! your ride is here. Go get that car and come take me for a ride to meet some cool guys. Not that you aren't cool Ali, but you are a little too old for me." Ali just smiled at her with real affection. He liked Becky and knew that Jennifer loved her like a sister. That was good enough for him. "Ready to go, TW?" he asked when Jennifer came down the stairs. When I piled into the back seat of the modified Ford F-250 that Tiny always drove, we were off to the motel. It only took about 10 minutes to get there so I was right on time. I went over the plan with the two guys and told them to come in once I was seated with Ron Davis. I didn't want them to do anything but I knew he would recognize them and hopefully tell me the truth about what I needed to know. They agreed and thought the whole thing was kind of amusing. "He'll probably crap in his drawers", Tiny said. Ali said that he would be glad to help shake the crap out of him, but wouldn't do anything unless TW said it was OK. I walked into the restaurant just at 8:15. A man was standing just inside the entrance and he immediately asked if I was Jennifer? I said yes, and he introduced himself as Ron Davis. He held out a hand and I reluctantly took it in mine for a very brief handshake. I didn't want to touch him but I felt it would be rude to ignore his outstretched hand. The waitress seated us at a table near the window and I looked out to find Tiny waiting in the truck. I held up 5 fingers and he nodded. I turned to survey this man setting across from me whose genetic material made up half of me. I wasn't impressed. He was good looking in a dark sort of way and was about her dad's age. He was shorter than I imagined him to be and he didn't look like he kept himself in good shape. Overall, I was disappointed. I had expected anyone my mother had had an affair with to be someone special. Compared to dad, this guy was a looser! I suddenly felt better about what I had come to do. "Well, I had seen pictures of you, but you are quite a beautiful young woman", he began. "I wanted to see you, but your mother asked me not to contact you or call you when we met Monday. I guess she changed her mind and told your dad that I was in town?" He asked this with a small smirk on his face. "I don't know what my mom told you and she didn't talk to my dad about you. She didn't even know that he knew about you. Dad gave me your number at your home and here at the motel. He knew you were here and has known since you came into town." As I told him this, he looked sick and his face became very pale. The smirk left his face as I told him dad knew he was in town. "The agreement I made with your dad was that I not contact you until you were an adult. I believe that was yesterday?" He seemed nervous and jumpy. I told him that dad had also told me that when I was 18, it was my choice to contact him if I wanted to. At this, he relaxed a little. At that moment, Tiny and Ali walked up to the table. Tiny said, "Hey, TW, nice to see you here. Who's the creep you're setting with?" He turned to Ali and said, "Doesn't he look like that piece of shit we ran out of town some time back?" Ali just looked at Ron and smiled that evil little smile he uses when he wants to scare some poor slob. This was getting out of hand quickly, so I said to Tiny, "Uncle Ramon, you promised to just sit over there and not interfere. Please, you and Uncle Alular go sit down and let me talk to this guy." Ali took Tiny by the shoulder and told him that they had promised TW to behave. They moved over to the counter and sat facing us. During this exchange, Ron Davis tried to be as inconspicuous as possible. There was no question he was afraid of these two guys. He watched as they moved away. He asked, "Why did you call those guys Uncle? They are just a couple of thugs that work for your dad. I had words with them 18 years ago and I never wanted to see them again. I think you should be very careful of who you associate with." I just stared at him. I replied, "These two thugs as you call them are my friends and have been as long as I remember. They are here at my request and will not interfere as long as you and I have something to talk about. I have some questions to ask you about your relationship with my mother and what really happened. If you won't tell me the truth about you and my mother, I will tell them that I don't like you and that they can have you to play with." I smiled at him as I said this. I continued, "You may be my biological father, but I am my real father's daughter. I like those thugs and others like them. I don't mind a little working over if it gets me what I want. I also would not hesitate to have them take you away somewhere and never have to see you again. My family is in crisis because of you and my dad has left my mother because of you and I may loose the family that I have loved for all of my 18 years because of you. I don't know you but I already hate you. So just look at those two thugs sitting over there and answer my questions!" My face had gotten red and I was breathless when I finished. Tiny and Ali had risen and were watching me as I raised my hand to motion them back to their seats. Ron Davis stared at me as if I had lost my mind. He said that he had nothing to do with my dad leaving my mother and there was no reason for me to hate him since he had done nothing wrong. He hadn't seen or contacted my mother since he left 17 years ago and just wanted to see me to see how I had turned out and to try to establish some contact with 'the daughter he never saw'. He said that he only left because my dad threatened him with his life and made it impossible to stay around, as he wanted. He said that what happened between mom and him was over long ago and had nothing to do with their relationship now. If they had problems, he said, it had nothing to do with him. I was really angry now. I let him have it. "One thing my dad always taught me was to respect the people I came in contact with until they gave me reason not to. You lost my respect when you chose not to respect the marriage that mom and dad had. She may have allowed it but you knew what you were doing and did it anyway. When you did, you disrespected dad, mom and me. Also, when you left, it was not because you wanted to, you left because you were a coward. You were afraid to face the consequences of your actions and left to save your own marriage. You shit on my dad's marriage by your actions with my mother, but ran like a frightened dog when you thought your wife might find out about your cheating. You are a coward and a cheater!" I calmed down a little after blowing off steam at him and finally said, "I need to know just what happened 18 years ago. How did this happen and where was my dad at the time? Did you cheat with mom under his nose? Did mom and you sleep together in my dad's bed? What this just a cheap fuck to show my dad who the best man was? Did mom enjoy it? Were you both laughing at him while you made me?" With this, I began to sob and put my head down on the table. Ali came over and slid in the booth beside me and put his arm around me while he glared at Ron Davis. Ron just stared at me and at Ali with a sad look that said volumes. He said nothing while I cried into Ali's chest. He finally asked Ali to return to his seat. He said, "I'll tell her what she has to know and I have no intention of hurting her any more that the truth will allow. She wants to know and she needs to know." Ali nodded and went back to the counter with Tiny. They both watched me with tears in their eyes. They also knew I had to know the truth. "Your mother and I began our affair over 2 years before she met your father. I was married and your mother knew it. She and I met about every 6-8 weeks once or twice and had sex. It was nothing else. She did not like to date and was usually too busy to have any kind of social life. I was traveling most of the time and was away from my wife for weeks at a time. This was more a matter of convenience for both of us and nothing more. There was no love or even much affection. We rarely spoke much other than about business and Molly wouldn't do any more and wouldn't meet me anytime except when I was in town. She always asked me about my wife and whether she knew anything about my actions and always seemed sad when I said that she knew nothing. But, she was still willing to continue the affair." "Things changed after she met your father in the hospital. She began to put me off when I came to town and cancelled all meetings after work. We did get together once or twice when your dad was traveling and had been gone for several weeks but that was before they were married. I would say we had sex only once after she met him and that was early on in the relationship." He paused and asked me how I was doing. I said that I was fine and for him to go on. "After your mom and dad were married, we met but there was no sex. I continued to try to persuade her when I came to the hospital, but she always declined and told me that it was over. She was serious and I came to accept it. I continued to make suggestions and to try to tempt her, but to no avail. Except for one time. Your dad had been traveling for just over 2 weeks. I think he had some problems at one of the shops when a manager quit and left him high and dry. I think he was trying to fill the position and had to stay a week longer that he had planned. I came into the hospital a day earlier than I usually did. Just taking a chance, I went down to the stockroom where your mother and I usually met. She was there and I just approached her as I usually did. Just let me say that we had sex just as we had so many times before, except that this time, Molly cried when it was over. I asked her what the problem was and she said that she had promised herself that this was never going to happen again but that she was missing Jim so much and thinking of him and she didn't even realize it was me until too late. After it was over, she realized what she had done and broke down in tears. I tried to comfort her but she just told me to get out and leave her alone. She actually screamed at me. I left her there and that is the last time we ever met together again. I swear to God." I listened as Ron told this story and I began to realize that what I had taken to be a sleazy affair between mom and her lover was not what I had imagined. If Ron was telling the truth, he and mom had only been together one time after she married dad and that one time was what made me. It also sounded as though mom regretted it immediately and ended it then. I knew that I needed to talk to mom to get the rest of that part of the story. I turned to Ron Davis and asked, "How did dad find out about you and mom?" He replied that he didn't really know and my dad never told him. "He just paid me a visit and told me that he knew of the affair, knew that I was your biological father, which was a total surprise to me! He told me to never ever see Molly again and suggested that I leave the city and go elsewhere. He offered to buy my business if I couldn't find a buyer, but I did. Your dad was a man of his word and didn't try to cheat or punish me other than to "encourage" me to leave Cleveland. Initially, when he came to see me, he brought those two over there with him. He let me know firmly that they would be glad to deal with me if he and I couldn't come to some kind of understanding. The look on his face scared the crap out of me. He had a look that was cold and cruel. That was when I realized that making your dad mad could be a major mistake." I sold the business and I took my family to Michigan where my wife's sister lived. We've been there ever since." I sat quietly for a few minutes; digesting everything he had told me. I finally asked him the last question I had. "What did you and mom do for two hours in your motel room last Monday? I need to know everything so be honest for the first time in your life." His answer really surprised me. "We talked about you. She had pictures she showed me, played a couple of videos of some early birthday parties, she showed me some of the awards that you had won and she talked about your life to this point. I know you are going to Miami this fall and that she and your dad have some pretty neat surprises for your birthday. She said that she would make sure I knew where you were and how to get in touch with you but that I could not see you now and I could not tell you who I was until she said it was OK. She said that Jim knew nothing about me and had no idea he wasn't your biological father. I realized that Jim had never told her he knew about me! That was a shock, and for some reason, probably thinking of your father, I didn't tell Molly otherwise. I don't know why. It certainly wasn't because I'm a nice guy. I think I may have been thinking something along the lines of blackmail, but I didn't plan on screwing with your dad. We talked a little more about my family and my girls and then she left. She said she wanted time to talk to Jim and then she would let me know. I told her I would be in town for another week seeing some friends and she said she would contact me before I left." Ron stopped and looked at me. "Are you OK? Is this what you wanted to know? As you can see, we did nothing wrong Monday and your mother certainly doesn't deserve what your dad is doing to her, unless he has held a grudge against her and me for the past 18 years." "As to you", he continued, "I would like to get to know you better and maybe even have you meet your half sisters. I have three grown daughters, all married with their own kids." I sat there as I tried to get my head around all he had told me. While it was not as bad as I had anticipated, it was still a case of infidelity and I was the constant reminder to my dad of what mom had done. I wasn't sure how I was going to fix things, but fix them I would! "I'm OK, now, thanks to what you have told me." I looked at him and continued, "There is no way I want to get to know you any more than I already do. I told you that I have no respect for someone who would do what you did. You showed no respect for my father by cheating with his wife. You showed no respect for my mother by continuing to pursue her even after she was married. You showed no respect for your wife or your daughters by screwing around on them for years. All in all, there is nothing about you that I want anything more to do with. Mom is a different matter: I love her and she is still my mom and married to the man I know is my real father. I will love them both forever. You will always be the man who caused me and my family a whole lot of grief. The best thing I can do for you is to let you go without any help from Tiny and Ali." Ron considered arguing with me, but after I got up and beckoned to my guardians, he changed his mind. When Tiny and Ali were beside me, I told them that Ron was leaving to go back to Michigan tomorrow. I told them that they might want to check on him tomorrow afternoon just to be sure he got safely on his way. I looked at Ron and said, "Isn't that your plan?" He just nodded his head and looked away. With that, the three of us left the restaurant. I also left a part of my heritage behind without any regrets. Special Day Ch. 04 I filled Tiny and Ali in on what Ron had told me about Monday. I let them know that we were going to find my father and make him see that nothing had happened with Mom and Ron and that he had no reason to continue with the divorce. Tiny was almost crying as I told him what I had learned. He said that he was the one that told dad about Molly meeting Ron at the motel. He kept saying, "I screwed up. I screwed up!" over and over. "If I had not told your dad about the meeting and had just asked little momma what was up, this all wouldn't have happened." I grabbed his hands in mine and said that he was not to blame. "Remember, mom started this 20 years ago. She began an affair with a married man for whatever reason and the result is the mess we are in right now. You did only as you felt necessary to protect my dad." Tiny stopped crying and got himself under control. "We have got to get to your dad before he does something stupid. He won't hurt Molly but he might do something stupid to himself." "He was pretty broken up about the whole thing." "I've got his phone number and I can call him to meet us somewhere. You two will have to be there to make sure he listens to what I have to tell him." I looked at both of them to make sure they were with me on this. Jim I spent that evening after the birthday party in a suite at the downtown Marriott. It had all I needed for a few days: days I would need to begin the proceedings of ending my marriage. I had the lawyer and the papers and we would file those Monday at the courthouse. I had given Jennifer all she needed and the settlement I had proposed in the divorce petition was more than fair to Molly. She would never want for money and she could go anywhere or do anything she wished. I was pretty sure she wasn't going to go with Ron Davis as his wife might have something to say about that. Other than that, I had no idea about this woman I thought I knew as well as I knew myself. Saturday came and went. I thought over the past 17 years with Molly and Jennifer. At no time during those years did I ever suspect Molly of having feelings for this guy she had an affair with so long ago. I would have bet my bottom dollar that she had forgotten him and that she never wanted to see him again. I remembered my conversation with Ron Davis the one time we met. After he filled me in on their affair and what it consisted of, I believed that Molly was probably glad it was over and that the mistakes she made were behind her. Why would she ever want to go back? What did she have to gain by a last fling with that piece of shit? In his own words, she never enjoyed sex with him; it was more like masturbation using him instead of a dildo! They never experimented, they never made love, they never had oral or anal sex and they never met other than once every 6-8 weeks. What could she have been looking for that I didn't provide? I lay back on the bed and covered my eyes with his arm. I unashamedly cried myself to sleep that way. I had no dreams and woke the next morning with no hope for a future of anything other than loneliness and sadness. I felt drained and unwilling to start the day. At that point, the phone rang. "Hello?" "Dad, it's me. I need to talk to you as soon as possible." "Where are you? Do you know it isn't even 6:30 in the morning? And what do you want to talk about? I haven't talked with your mother and I haven't left the room since I got here." He was unwilling to get involved with his daughter at this point. "Just please agree to meet with me. If you name a place, I will meet you there." "I really don't want to see or talk to anyone for awhile. You must understand that. Can't we wait to talk until next week sometime?" Jennifer pleaded with him until he finally agreed to meet her at the Applebee's on Broad Street at about 1:30. He lay back on the bed and dozed until it was time to get up for breakfast. He was unable to go down to eat so he called for room service. A little more time before he had to face anyone. Jennifer and Molly After talking with her dad, Jennifer walked home from Becky's to see her mother. It was just 36 hours since her world had been turned upside down. She was angry with her mother, she was angry with Ron Davis and she was angry with her dad for not talking with her or with Molly before doing what he did. Damn him! That was just like him to do something fully on his own without involving them! He was always trying to protect her and mom, never thinking that they could take care of themselves. She used the new key her mother had given her at her party Friday night to open the front door. She felt strange entering the house. It was almost like entering a stranger's home for the first time. She felt as though she didn't know the woman she had called mom for her entire life. She opened the door and entered. Molly was standing in the entrance to the kitchen and saw and heard her daughter enter. "Where have you been for the last two days? I was worried sick when you wouldn't talk to me. Why didn't you call me yesterday?" Molly looked as though she hadn't slept for days. Her usually beautiful hair was tangled and dull, her face was pale and not made up, her dress was really a housecoat she used to clean and her beautiful eyes were vacant and red. She stood in the kitchen leaning on the counter. "I had to think about all that I heard Friday night after dinner. It started out so happy and went to hell in a hand basket after that. I just couldn't believe that you had lied to dad and me for all this time. I would still not believe it if dad hadn't given me the facts and if I hadn't talked with the jerk that fathered me!" With this last, Molly looked at if someone had slapped her. "What do you mean, you talked with him?" "Just what I said. Yesterday I went to the same hotel you did Monday and I met and talked with Mr. Davis. I took Tiny and Ali with me so I was not in any danger." I waited for her to yell at me. Instead, she slumped down in the chair behind her and just cried. I watched her for a minute and then went to her and just put my arms around her and held her as she cried. She finally went quiet and I sat down in the chair across the table and waited for her to say something. "I never wanted you or your dad to find out about this. I have known since the day you were born that Jim was not your father and I promised myself that neither of you would ever find out. I did everything I could to keep it from you and I threatened Ron with his life if he ever contacted you." "I made a promise with God that day that I would do whatever I could to make my life with you and your father as happy and as satisfying for all of us as possible. I did everything I could think of to convince Jim of my love for him and I believed I had succeeded." "I had no idea that your father knew about it and no idea he had adopted you. Try as I might, I do not understand why he did what he did and why he never confronted me. If he had, I would have dealt with it and tried to salvage my marriage with him knowing the truth. But instead, he maintained his silence and stayed with me in spite of the fact that I had betrayed him and never trusted him enough to be honest with him." "You may not believe this, but it would have been easier on him and on me if we had just been honest with each other so many years ago. The burden I have carried for all these years has been a terrible one. One that could hurt someone I loved with all my heart." "The burden he carried was one that could only hurt him, since I already knew what I had done. Even in the midst of my betrayal, your father was the brave one and I was the coward." "Now, I have lost him and a marriage I treasure. I never had the strength to be honest and it is now costing me dearly. I can only hope that you don't hate me for what I did, but if you do, I certainly understand." I listened to my mother talk with a sadness that I hadn't felt in my 18 years. Not because of the truth, not because of what she had done, but because I knew that our family should not and could not be destroyed by something that was never planned and something that was truly regretted by mom. That she had carried that burden for all of her married life and that dad had carried the same burden, both afraid of losing what they now seemed resigned to giving up made my sadness turn to anger. "I want you to lighten up and get dressed. We are going out and I will not accept no as an answer. I will not go with you looking like a bag lady so get dressed in something pretty and come have lunch with me. We are going to Applebee's for that Cajun steak you like so much." I stood up and held out my hand to her. She looked up at me, finally smiled and rose. "Alright, I guess if you want me, you can have me. I don't promise to be a very good companion but I would like to have some time with you. I keep forgetting that you will be leaving soon and I won't have you around underfoot all the time." With that she went upstairs to change and clean up. I called Tiny and told him that mom and I would be going to lunch at 1:30 as planned. He would be sure that he and Ali were outside the restaurant if I needed them. I told Tiny to keep his cell if I needed to call on them.. Molly Molly woke up Saturday morning to find the house empty. She didn't know Jim had moved out and did not know where Jennifer was. She didn't see the message light on the phone until later in the day. After checking the master bathroom to find that Jim's things were gone, she finally accepted the fact that he had moved out on her. He left nothing to tell her where he had gone and his cell phone was turned off. She called continuously all day and left messages but he did not respond. She understood then that he would initiate contact when and if he wanted to talk to her. She wasn't sure what Jennifer had done, but she called Becky's house to see if she had stayed there. Becky assured her that Jennifer was fine and that she had left with Ali just about an hour ago. She thought she was going to pick out her car. Becky gushed as Molly simply listened. When she got a break, she ended the conversation and sat back in her chair with a sigh. Now she knew that her world was ended. Her daughter was avoiding her, her husband had left her and was filing for divorce, and she had no one except herself to blame. She had cheated, she had lied, she had not had enough faith in Jim to be honest and she deserved exactly what was happening. She spent the day alternately crying and sleeping, avoiding anything and anybody. Neither Jennifer nor Jim called. She had no idea how to contact Jim, and Jennifer apparently did not want to talk to her. She tried again at Becky's but was told that Jennifer didn't want to talk to her just now. She finally gave up. She went upstairs and climbed into bed and remained there for the rest of the day and night. She awoke Sunday morning at dawn and went downstairs to make some coffee. She would have to try to get something going today. Maybe she should call a lawyer or call Tiny or Ali or even Tony to see if they knew of someone she could talk to. As she contemplated her future, the front door opened and Jennifer entered. Jim, Molly and Jennifer Jennifer and Molly entered the restaurant just at 1:30. Jennifer had worked to set the time exactly so that there would be no chance that her dad and her mom would see each other before she had them together. She knew her dad and knew that he would be there early to wait for them. He was never late to anything. As Jennifer looked around, she saw her dad setting at a window booth with his back to her. That was perfect. She told the waitress that she saw her party waiting and said that they would set with him. She took her mom by the hand and walked down to the booth where Jim sat waiting. "Hi dad. Waiting for me?" Jennifer stood in front of her mother so that Jim saw only her at first. He smiled and rose to greet her when he suddenly noticed Molly standing there. Molly was herself shocked to see him, not suspecting that her daughter had arranged this meeting. Both of them just stared at the other, not knowing what to say or do. "Dad, mom, sit down with me." Jennifer pushed her mother into the seat across from her dad and slipped in beside her. "Dad, if you try to leave, Tiny will just stop you. He is waiting just outside. If you look out the window, she can see I'm serious." Jennifer glared at both of them. "There are things that need to be said and facts that need to be discussed and I will not let this go any further without a fight. I will not let my family be destroyed by a lie or by stupidity. You are both too important to me to allow that to happen." There were tears in her eyes as she said this. "Jennifer, I don't know what I can say to make you understand that I can't live with your mother any more knowing what I know about her feelings for your biological father." Jim looked at Molly as he said this. "See, that's what I am talking about. She has no feelings for Ron Davis and she wants nothing to do with him. Neither do I, but that is beside the point. What she did Monday is not what you think." She turned to her mother and said, "Tell him the truth for once in your life." Molly looked at Jim before she began to speak. "The first thing you must know is that I never knew you were aware of the truth about Jennifer and Ron Davis. I behaved as I did to try to prevent you from finding out the truth. My reasons were probably not the best, but I wanted to protect both of you from the pain that the truth would cause." " I hadn't talked to Ron Davis for over 17 years. I had believed with the silence that the truth would never have to come out and that we could go on with our lives as we had as a happy and loving family. I wanted to carry the truth with me to the grave and spare you the pain." "When he called two weeks ago, I told him not to contact me and to leave us alone. He continued to call and said that he had no intention of leaving until he had seen and talked to 'his daughter'. I finally agreed to meet him at his hotel." "I thought a lot of things. I thought of calling Tiny to have him killed. I thought that maybe we would be free if I could make sure he never bothered us again. I thought of you and our life and Jennifer and her future and finally decided that I would try to placate him with some pictures and stories and threaten him with disclosure to his wife and daughters if he didn't leave us alone. Killing him might come back to me and cost me the things I was trying to protect." With the threat of killing Ron Davis, the depth of her desperation began to sink into Jim Morrison's consciousness. It was becoming apparent that Molly had tried to protect everyone by her own suffering. But he still wanted to know what had happened on that Monday at the motel. "I went to the motel to the room number Ron had given me. He wanted to act as if nothing had changed and we could take up where we left off. I was glad because I could then let my anger take over. I slapped him as hard as I could and told him to back off. He was shaken but did move away." "I had taken some pictures of the three of us and some videos of birthday parties. I want both of you to know that all of the pictures and videos were of all three of us. I wanted him to see you with your father and with the two of us. I wanted him to know we were a family and that he had no place in it. I told him that you were the daughter you were because of your father. Ron had nothing to do with that." "I spent over two hours with him, but the time meant little to me. As I began to talk about you and our family over the past years, I couldn't stop. I let all of the love and respect I had for what we shared to take over and I went on until I finally ran out of words. Ron knew when I finished that he was not a part of my life and wasn't a part of yours." "Before I left, he wanted to call you and meet you and maybe get to know you better. He even suggested that you should meet his daughters. I told him then that he would not contact you unless I told him he could. I told him that I would take action, and he knew what I meant, if he didn't do as I asked. I told him that as of that day, he was never to contact me again. I worried about what I would tell you so that if he did contact you it would not come as a total shock, but I decided I would worry about that later." "That's the whole story. Jim, I regret not having faith in you. I regret not telling you as soon as I knew. As we grew in our marriage, I regretted not revealing the truth to you so many times. My only defense is that I mistakenly decided that if I alone carried the burden of the truth, you would be spared the pain that I knew you would feel if you found out. I now know that I was a fool. You already knew and you were suffering more by knowing that I willingly lied and misled you. My betrayal of you was magnified by my own ignorance and conceit." "I understand the reason you want a divorce and I will not fight you on anything. I haven't read the petition you left, but whatever is in it, is fine with me." Jennifer remained quiet during her mother's narration. She watched her father as he listened. He remained impassive, but his eyes never left her mom's face. She waited to see what he would say. She was not going to let him off the hook either. He had lied to her mother just as she had lied to him. Both were at fault and both would admit it if she had to force them to see it. "The reason I wanted a divorce was because I thought you spent the time with that piece of scum having a sexual relationship and because I thought you were still involved with him. Are you telling me that I was wrong?" Jim looked at Molly, waiting for an answer. "You were wrong! I never loved him and I never wanted a relationship with him. I used him at the time for sex and to avoid having to make a commitment to anyone. He was convenient, and I am ashamed to admit, that was because I knew he was married. That is a shame that I have never gotten over. The one time we had sex after we were married was once when I was thinking of you and Ron took advantage of me at a time when I was so lonely and you had been gone for so long. I didn't even realize what I was doing until it was too late." "You remember we had decided to begin a family in July. I decided to go off the pill sooner since I had read that it might take up to 6 months after quitting to get pregnant. I didn't want to wait so I quit early. That was the time you went on that extended trip with Tony and Tiny. Ron came in early and I didn't even realize he was there. It was you I was making love with, not him." "I have to say something", Jennifer said. "Both of you made mistakes. Mom, you made two; the first was the affair with a married man that came back to cause all of us so much pain. The second was not being honest with dad, the man who loves you more that life itself." "Dad, your mistake was in not confiding in mom once you found out about my paternity. You should have given her the respect of allowing her to explain herself and tell you of the circumstances, right or wrong." "I love both of you and I will not be satisfied until we are back together. Tiny has promised to keep the two of you together until you work this out. I need to know if you are willing to try." Jennifer waited for a response, looking fiercely at the two most important people in her life. She held her breath waiting for her dad to speak. Jim looked at Molly and said, "There is nothing to work out. I love you more than I can say and I cannot imagine my life without you in it. I knew of the affair just after I found out about Jennifer and I knew the even Ron had no illusions about your feelings for him. He felt that you used him for the very reasons you just mentioned. He also knew that I allowed no contact with either you or Jennifer until she was 18. He almost blew that when he contacted you early." Special Day Ch. 04 "I don't want to proceed with the divorce. It was just hurt on my part to try to strike out to hurt you the way I thought you had hurt me. I now know that I was wrong. I'm sorry. I am also sorry that I didn't confront you when I first found out. Jennifer has reminded me that I am as much to blame as you are." Molly simply reached out to take Jim's hand in hers and say, "I love you." "I love you and I always have." Jim smiled at Molly and then looked to Jennifer. "We owe you so much. Thanks for being there to save me from making a huge mistake." Jim rose and took his daughter in his arms and kissed her forehead. "Let's go home, OK?" The three left together to continue their life just as they had before her special day, her 18th birthday.
