They story will be presented in multiple parts, exactly how many is yet to be determined. If you are looking for sex scenes you should know by now that I don't write that kind of content. If you are looking for that please move on to someone else's work. I do not normally write about cuckolds and cheaters, this is the first time. Please keep the remarks about the story, and keep them gentle. I delete personal assaults on me. Thank you for your comments. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I opened my eyes, well at least I tried. My head hurt terribly. Do I need to stop going to parties like that one last night? OH MY, this hurts. I guess I do. As I awoke further I needed to wipe the sleep out of my eyes. I noticed that my right arm did not want to move and it hurt worse than my head. My body below my waist was numb. I tried to call out for help and found that I had little volume to my voice. I found that I could move my left arm with a lot of effort; this is good since I wear my cell phone on that side. I finally got my hand to my belt and discovered my phone was missing. SHIT! What to do now? I lay still and listened for a clue as to where I was; I heard a few cars moving nearby, a bird was singing, a big truck drove by. I definitely was not at home in my bed. As I lay there I thought back to the evening before; the last thing I remembered was walking to the house from the barn. I had spent most of the day plowing the north fields and finally finished them just before dark. I had parked the tractor over to the side of the field near the barn and walked toward the house. Halfway between the barn and house something happened. What it was I have no idea. At least I ruled out making a fool out of myself at a party. I started to feel around on the ground near me; where is the grass on the front yard? I felt loose powdery dirt all around me; at least where I can reach. My entire face was a crusty mess. I lifted my hand to find out what was above me. I found a large round bale of hay covering my legs, pelvis and about 6 inches of my stomach. I found that I could move my legs a little, and if I pushed my heals into the ground I could lift it a little with my knees. By lifting it with both legs, holding it up with one and pushing with the other I managed to get out from under the weight. My legs were tingling in the worst way, I was glad to know I still had feeling in them. My sister used to call this sparkling. With the weight finally off my body I needed to rest for a bit. I reevaluated my situation. The only place on my farm to have this kind of powdery dirt was in my pole barn. The roads are all stone or blacktop, the lawn and most of the other flat areas are covered with grass, the fields are either lumpy from plowing or still covered in stubby corn from last season. I could not see or smell anything, my hearing was good except for the ringing in my ears and I was starting to get very tired. It was no time to stop now. The traffic noises were coming from my left. If I was in my barn that meant the side door to the barn was to my right. There was a phone on a short stool near that door. I started to push myself in that direction. After a lot of effort I bumped my head on something. I reached back and felt the old welder behind me. This is good; the phone is only 6 or 8 feet to my left. I managed to turn and push in that direction. With some effort I finally felt my head hit something; the stool tipped over and the phone crashed down on my face. I was surprised it did not hurt too much. After searching I was certain I had found the first speed dial button; I pushed it and heard the beep-beep --beep sounds of dialing from off to the right side. Thank God my father answered, I franticly started punching in an S-O-S with the buttons on the phone. After the first set I paused; Dad responded Bobby is that you?" I pressed a button 3 times. "Are you OK?" I pressed 2 times. "Are you at home?" 3 times then, I paused and did 2 times. "Are you in the barn?" 3 times again. "Do you need help?" 3 more times When I was younger he had read a story to me where someone did that. We talked about that being a good idea. We had always thought he would be the one to use it, not me. "I will be right there. As he drove the 2 miles to my farm he called his friend, the sheriff. "Please head over to Bobby's house; he is in the barn and hurt! And send an ambulance too!" I heard the truck flying into my drive and screech to a halt. When He pulled the door to the shed it just rattled. It was locked, he kicked it in. I thought "I almost never lock that door." He must have still had the cell phone in his hand; the last thing I heard was "...make it quick, he is hurt real bad!" I tried to move. The next thing I recall hearing was Mom saying "Well now, you are going to be really pretty for a while." A hand reached out to touch me; someone pulled my eye lid open. "OH GOD, THE PAIN, BRIGHT LIGHT!" Is what my brain screamed. All anyone heard was "UNGHHH! OOOoooooh! URRRrrrrr?" It was not too articulate, but well spoken considering the situation. A male voice told me to calm down a little; then I was poked and prodded in all sorts of places. The only sounds in the room were my grunts and groans as I was prodded. I recognized the voice as that of Dr Lewis. He spoke to someone and I heard "Well, he will live. He might wish for a few days that he had died, it will get better over time." I heard footsteps as the people left the room, and then there was silence. Finally I heard a soft sobbing in the far corner of the room; I tried to move, all I did was grunt softly. My father spoke softly, "I know you're awake. How are you feeling boy? You sure look like shit, but you're tough and you'll survive this." All he got was a grunt. I don't believe I ever heard him cry before. I drifted off to sleep. Later that evening there was a great commotion as my wife, Kathy (I call her Kat), came running into the room. The first words out of her mouth were "I told you to be careful while I was gone; I had to leave the seminar and fly back here because you couldn't do one simple thing." There was no thought for how I was, no loving statements of concern, not any gentle caresses or kisses. I pretended to be asleep, finally she ran out of steam. I heard her whisper "He appears to be out cold." A male voice whispered back "Can we get out of here?" The voice was familiar. But, who was it? A nurse came into the room and told her she needed to keep the noises down or leave. A minute or so later, as they left, I heard a comment about how I was a tougher bird than they thought. The next morning I was in a lot of pain, but I refused to let them knock me out again. Mom and Dad came in at noon; that was when visiting hours started. The first thing they noticed was that I was awake and royally pissed off. Mom smiled and said I would be a good as new in a few weeks. About that time my sister Sue came into the room. I motioned for her to sit down where I could speak to her. I found enough voice to ask her to send Mom and Dad on a mission. She told them I wanted a coke and the paper. If I asked for them they knew I was going to be OK. When they were out of the room I told her "I think Kat tried to get me killed. She was here last evening with a man, they could not leave fast enough." I slowly retold the things they had said while here, and indicated I wanted bugs on my phones and a video monitoring system placed in the house and barn. "Make sure the front lawn is covered too." I also let her know my cell phone was missing. Sue gasped but said she would get her husband Sean to work on it today. "When Kathy comes here the next time he will go out and put it in." Sean runs a private detective company; he is good. When Mom and Dad got back I slowly sipped the coke and we tried to talk for the hour before Hurricane Kathy roared into town again. Sue left for a few minutes, and then smiled as she walked back in. She needed to be across town for a meeting, but would return this evening. The Kat of yesterday was nowhere to be found. She was as loving as anyone could be; almost too much so. She stayed for about 2 hours and said she needed to check in at her job since she was forced to return from the seminar. Dad asked what she was trying to prove with her display of affection. I just shrugged. He went on to say my cousin Andy and one of his sons would cover for me, on the farm, until I felt better and could resume working. Mom asked if she could bring me anything. I told her some home baking would be nice. Not much else was said, she and Dad smiled as they left a little later. I was getting tired by now, my voice was gone and the pain was worse than I thought it would be so I called for the nurse and asked for something mild for the pain, "Nothing that will knock me out." I said. I woke 3 hours later to find Kat sitting beside the bed, she was reading the newspaper. I asked her if the accident was in it. She replied that they reported that a bale must have fallen on me, and it was a miracle I had survived. The reports were that I had a broken arm, a dislocated shoulder, lots of bruising, many cuts to the face and head and a severe concussion. She left just before visiting hours were over. About midnight Sue came back into my room. I was surprised she was allowed in at that time of the evening.. She had been talking to the nurse from the night before and got an earful about how my wife was acting when she arrived around midnight. The facts were pretty much what I had told her except that the nurse had not heard the discussion between the two visitors. Sue had a description of the fellow who was there with Kat. I knew it was Kat's boss, Rich, before the last words came out. Now I knew why the voice was familiar last night. Sue told me that the systems I asked for were now in my house. There was an audio monitor and a GPS in Kat's car and she would now put a GPS on Rich's car. Sue told me the only seminars in Brownsville, Texas this week had to do with Veterinarians and Colo-rectal surgery. Kat worked in real estate; I doubted she would attend those seminars. Sue was also working on confirmation of the hotel reservations. The next day Sue handed a Saint Jerome medal to Kat with the instruction to keep until I was released, to help with good luck for my recovery. The medal was a bug, the story was a crock. She gave me one too, and pulled one out of her pocket to show us she had one too. She was going to give one each to Mom and Dad. Kat's medal would send voice signals for up to 4 days before it needed to be changed. After 3 days I should ask to rub the medal for good luck and hand her back a different one. Later that day, I had a visit from an old high school buddy. Barry and I were on the school baseball team together. Barry was the best pitcher in the county, I was his catcher. We made a good team. He was on the ambulance crew that brought me in. He visited for an hour to make sure I was doing well. Sue got there just before he left. He handed me an envelope with some photos and a memory card. "This was you that morning; the doctor said I could give them to you." He said as he got ready to go. I told him to give them to Sue; she put them away in her purse. Kat walked in 2 minutes later. I had noticed that she had been really jumpy since she returned to town; she was a little more relaxed today. Mom and Dad arrived soon after. Dad was fussing about delivering cakes all over the hospital. Mom had made 3 of her delicious homemade spice cakes with real cream cheese frosting. One was for the emergency room, one for the floor nurses and one for all the visitors to my room and me. When she baked them for bake sales they were always the first to go, even at twice the price of the other cakes. As many cakes as she baked in a year, and you know she had to test them to be sure they were done correctly; Mom was still whisper thin . She smiled every time she said "The faster you eat, the fewer calories you get." It was 3 weeks after the accident that I was released from the hospital. Kat said she had a closing on a house and could not be there to get me; so Sue came and brought me home. On the way we discussed what had been discovered in the investigation. We had zero, zilch, zip nada, nothing. We had a serious problem and no clues to solve it. After she thought I was ready Sue showed me the pictures. There was a lot of blood and dirt caked all over my face, my nose and eyes were covered heavily. She said the doctor told her it took almost an hour to get it all off. I was lucky I did not suffocate or bleed to death. They had to give me 2 pints while they worked. Mom gave one, Sue gave the other. Dad donated but was not compatible; they put it into the blood bank. The video cameras and bugs had not revealed any useful information. The GPS units only showed Kat and Rich's cars together at the office and 1 time at the local Wal-Mart. That appeared to be completely accidental as reported by the bugs. Neither one had spoken to the other while there; in fact Rich was there with his wife and son. The reservations in Brownsville had been in Rich's name; 1 room, king size bed, only for the 3 days they had actually stayed. It appeared from the start that they had no plans to stay all week. No one recognized their photos except the check-in clerk; he recognized Rich. There were too many coincidences, inconsistencies and bad signs to ignore their actions. We just did not have enough to charge them with anything; there were still too many missing bits of information. Sean did find out that I was insured for 5 million dollars, the policy was started the week after we were married almost 6 years ago. Kat was the purchaser and beneficiary. If there was something going on they were prepared to wait for a while. A month after I was released from the hospital the annual real estate office bar-be-que was held. Kat was busy helping with the setting up so Sue was asked to bring me along as I was not allowed to drive yet. We arrived fashionably late, Kat never knew; I was there for 2 hours before she noticed me. As we walked up the drive to Rich's house I glanced into the back of a dark blue company pick up truck. I saw a familiar looking cell phone sticking out from under a 5 foot cross bed tool box. I pretended to trip and threw myself onto the side of the pick up bed. The pain made me regret it instantly. Sue asked what had happened, I pointed to the phone. We made a production of making sure I was going to be all right. Sue had set her purse onto the side of the bed to assist me. It fell into the bed. As she reached into the bed for her purse she took a quick picture of the phone with hers and grabbed both her purse and the phone. She managed to wrap it in a paper that happened to fall out of her purse and put it into her pocket. Sean had been keeping the sheriff updated on what we were doing. We turned the phone over to him. It was checked for finger prints; the only ones found were mine. The battery was dead; upon recharging they confirmed it was my phone. How did the phone get into the back of that truck? One more suspicious thing. With little to do all day I had too much time on my hands; I started to snoop around the house. I did not expect to find anything. I was correct, except for one thing. We had been trying to have a baby for our entire marriage. No wonder she never got pregnant, she was on the pill. Since returning from the hospital she had been trying to screw me half to death. I wondered how often Rich had been getting some before the accident. How much was he getting afterward? The next spring I started to do some of the tilling myself again, my cousin Andy still helped out with the cattle and things part time. I listened to the phone recordings each evening before going in for supper. I started to notice that Kat and Rich were talking more than ever on the phone. They were also getting more familiar than I thought they should; even going so far as to make comments that could be taken in more than one way. The other way was not good. Kat was still trying to screw me to death and the birth control pills were always in the same spot. Yes, she was taking them. Once a week I gathered the tapes to give to Sue for storage. The only tapes they did not get were those in our bedroom. I kept them under lock and key in a chest where we stored the medications for the animals on the farm. I did look at them every now and then; I noticed Kat was showing less enthusiasm in bed over the last few months. If she thought I was looking she was all smiles, if I wasn't she would look like she was bored. On April 6th my dad borrowed my pick up and trailer to pick up some cows, his was in the shop. I did not feel like working in the fields that day so I sat in my office in the barn. Kat came home at lunch and saw my truck and the cattle trailer were missing. She called Rich and told him I was gone to get cattle and he could come right over. They knew it was a 2 hour drive each way to get the cattle. Kat called me on my new cell phone and over the next 20 minutes she determined I was halfway to get there. She hung up right as Rich pulled into the drive. When they got into the bedroom I called and said the truck was not running well and I would be coming back. Then I called Sue and asked for her to bring the sheriff out in 30 minutes From our previous conversation Kat figured she had an hour before she had to stop. They had already screwed once when Rich decided he could squeeze another in before I got back; Kat was not going to have any parts of it. She started out telling him "NO!" Then she tried to push him off. Rich laughed at her and kept going. This was my cue to head for the house. I started a digital recorder with a new card in it just after her first of many "NOs!" I caught 4 more and some struggling. On the way in I punched holes in 2 of his tires with an ice pick. I also had my electric cattle prod with me and ready. As I quietly climbed the stairs to our bedroom I could hear them going at it. She had given up about saying NO any more. I quietly entered the bedroom and stood there for a minute just watching. Between the noise and their being so involved I was able to walk over and held the cattle prod just below his balls. They were going doggie style; I waited until he was ready to cum and moved the prod foreword. I squeezed the trigger just as he was all the way in. I had it set almost as high as it would go; the shock hit his balls and her clit at the same time. Neither one had any idea what hit them. Kat fell forward with her face into the pillows as she gasped for breath; Rich rolled sideways off of the bed and lay twitching on the floor. Just for good measure I hit him again with a jolt from the prod. I bent down to check Kat and whispered that she would agree to anything I said or she could move out that evening, she nodded yes Five minutes later Sue and the sheriff came flying up the stairs. Rich was now trying to get up again and was threatening to kill me. He said it was a damn shame that I did not die the first time. I was ready to give him another shock as they burst through the door. I followed the sheriff's instructions and put the cattle prod down on the floor. I told them it was rape, plain and simple, and I had the evidence was on a surveillance tape. Kat backed me up on that statement, she had no choice. Rich was found guilty in court and sentenced to 8 to 10 in the state lockup. His wife sued for divorce and got complete control of the real estate office they previously owned 50/50. Kat was terminated with a large payoff to keep her quiet. BobKat Too When I wrote the story the only logical place I found to break it was at the end of BobKat. This is the continuation of that story. This might stand alone, but it will make more sense if you have read the first installment. Again, I tried not to hurt any feelings, hay bales, words or other such critters while writing this story. I went back and tried, to some degree, to incorporate more dialog into the story; I guess it is not quite my style, but I tried. I tend to like to tell a story from a semi-detached point of view. About the commenters who thought I ended it too short and did not flesh things out, again I did not want to give away more of what I was thinking. I suppose I could have told you there would be more; but I was not happy with what I had yet. I did not want to feel forced into providing what I felt was not up to what I want to share with you. I hope this satisfies everyone, I like what I have done with it. Maybe I don't get it; but, I think that loving wives stories should be about wives who love the ones they are supposed to, their husbands.. OH silly me!? PTBzzzz ----------------------------------------------------------------- I was in town to pick up supplies when I spotted a woman coming out of the bank. The way she walked looked too familiar. You could tell by her movements that she was angry. This was the way I had seen her walk for too much of our marriage. Yes, it was my ex-wife Kat. She had disappeared years ago after giving birth to our daughter. No information was ever found on where she went. My entire farm and that of my Dad were searched multiple times by cadaver dogs. Parts of the surrounding properties were searched too. There were absolutely no clues about what happened. I watched as she climbed into the backseat of a large SUV, the car pulled out from the curb. The windows were tinted to the point of being opaque. I pulled a pen out of my pocket and wrote the tag number on the receipt in my hand. I called the sheriff and reported my observation to him. Later that evening he came by the house and told me the car got away. After talking to the folks at the bank he determined that she had tried to take part of her money out of the bank. The problem was that the accounts were change by court order during the divorce proceedings. To withdraw any money you needed the correct new account and the court had to sign off on the withdrawal for the next 10 or so years. When I filed for divorce they tried to give me the money, I did not want it. It was blood money to me, or worse it was money paid to a prostitute. I asked that it be held in trust for our daughter's college expenses. Other than some pictures she had nothing else to remember her mother by. She was way too young when Kat left to have any memory of her. As far as I ever knew Kat did not have any other family; she refused to talk about them. After calling the sheriff I called my sister Sue, told her what I had seen, and asked that the video monitoring system be reinstalled. Sean, her husband, called me later that evening and told me that the only cameras removed were the ones in our bedroom. The others were set to constantly record over any old data. The cards held 36 hours of memory if they ran continuously. Being motion activated they could have a longer time frame. He came over and changed out the cards for new ones and took them back for review. The first one he looked at was the camera that covered the front lane leading to the house. In the last 8 days there were 2 times when unknown vehicles came into the drive and both times the same guys got out to look around. Then they got back into the car and drove away. One of the vehicles was the same SUV from the bank; the other was a dark blue pick up. The other 2 outside tapes only showed a different view of the area. The tapes from inside did not produce any results. The sheriff had the tag number for both vehicles now. The next morning found the state police at my door bright and early. They wanted details on the accident, my divorce, any background information I knew on my ex wife and exactly what I saw the day before. They apologized for not being able to tell me anything "...at this time." I was really puzzled as to what was happening. When Merry, my now wife, returned from teaching that afternoon she reported that there were strange things going on in town. "There were a lot of new people in the area that to someone other than an observant local would blend right in. Some drove old farm trucks, others just looked like they could live here but she knew they didn't." Some of the elementary school busses now had a second assistant. The new people were not local. I discussed what happened in my day. The next morning I had more visitors. The tags on the cars that had visited my driveway were from out of state; Sean had not told me about that, and I was too shocked at seeing Kat, so it did not occur to me to think of it. This time the visitors were from the FBI. They asked the same questions all over again, they recorded the interview. They asked a lot more detailed questions than the state police did. Finally I had to ask what was going on. They only told me they were investigating a possible kidnapping. I asked if the victim was Kat, they did not answer. Being kept in the dark sucks. The only information I heard in the next 3 weeks was that the back of a withdrawal slip at the bank had a note that said "HELP....." I overheard that as I walked past 2 of the county deputies talking to each other. I could not make out the last of the sentence because he lowered his voice and was facing the other way. It might not even be related. I called the sheriff and asked him to drop by and see me when he had a chance. I also asked Sean to see if the life insurance was still paid up and to get me the date it started. He called back and said it was still in force, paid up and completely in order. He gave me the policy number, the date and the company's name that issued it. I started to worry when he told me that the policy was still in force. Just on a lark I looked around for our old bank statements from when we got married. I finally found them in a corner of the barn. I went through all of the statements for the first 3 years of our marriage and did not find one that paid for the insurance. Next I called Sally, Rich's ex-wife, and asked her if it was company policy to pay for life insurance for the spouse of an employee. Her response was that "...they have never done that for anyone." I then asked her, please, to go through the bank statements for the same time period and see if there were payments made for a policy written from that company. She called back 6 hours later and told me a policy was paid for out of her companies accounts until Rich was sent to jail. She said Rich had signed all the checks. I asked if I could have copies of the checks. She had them waiting for me already. We talked about my visitors. I asked her if she had any idea what the state police and FBI were looking for. She said "They visited me too and asked for all kinds of information about Rich; how we met, where he was from, if I knew he had been married before, if he had any family, just about everything except the size of his left foot. I asked her to put the copies she made for me away and told her I was going to call and speak to someone about the payments. Could she please let the authorities have any information they wanted on the matter. The sheriff had not come out to see me yet, so I called him and told him about the conversation between Sally and me. I said they should get a copy of the policy and compare signatures from some old checks of mine to my signature on the policy. I also suggested that they look into how the policy is now being paid. Less than 5 minutes later I was surrendering 20 old checks to the FBI for signature comparison to the policy. The lead agent sheepishly told me they had not thought about an insurance fraud connection to their investigation. I told him "There might be more I could disclose if they would let me know what they were looking for." His response was "I need to check with my boss and see if he wants to do that." I asked "...if he needed his boss's permission to wipe when he took a dump." He scowled at me and turned to go. I called him back "I already know enough to realize my life is in danger, I am worried for the sake of my wife and children. If I do not get answers soon I will pack up and go elsewhere to hideout until you boys pull your heads out of your asses." I then asked '...if he had reviewed the evidence that was used to put Rich away for rape." "Um, no." was his response. I then told him "There are hours of recordings between Rich and Kat from before the rape. There might be something that will help you." He did not know about those either. The next morning I was summoned to see him and his boss, they came to get me. The 3 of us sat down in a secure conference room at their offices. "We are recording this conversation; do you have any need for a lawyer? If you do we will stop now and you can get one." "Keep the damn recorder running until I leave the room to go home. I have no need for a lawyer but you might want to include my brother Sean in the conversation too. I might miss or forget something important to you. Hell! Bring in my sister too; she is just as involved as Sean and me." They wanted to stop the recording. "Oh, Hell No! Keep the damn thing running, I have absolutely nothing to hide." They handed me a phone; I called Sue. She answered their office phone. "Sue, this is Bobby. This conversation is being recorded by the FBI, I need you and Sean to come in and help me give them information on things that happened before my divorce from Kat. If you want to bring a lawyer you can." "Are you sure you want us to do this?" "Yes, when you get here I will tell you why I think we need to talk to them. They will send a car for you." 20 minutes later Sue, Sean and their lawyer were escorted into the conference room. After everyone was introduced I started talking. "Are we still being recorded?" The agents both said we were. "I have come to the conclusion that my life is in danger because of the large insurance policy taken out on me by Kat. I want these people to have as much information about the things that happened between Kat and I before the divorce as we can give them." I turned to the 2 agents and said "If I am wrong please correct me, otherwise we need to get started." The 2 of them looked at each other and shrugged. The head agent, Shultz, said "I guess, in a nut shell you are correct." "OK, why don't we start with the accident?" I said. Then I proceeded to tell him about plowing the fields, parking the tractor, walking toward the house and waking in the barn, covered by a hay bale and weak from loss of blood. I also told about the conversations between Kat and Rich in the hospital room. "Did I forget anything? We need to give as much information to them as we can. Did we do everything by the book? AND, make sure they get a copy of the pictures taken after the accident too." Sue spoke up, "We did everything exactly as the law requires. You are the sole owner of the farm; you requested video and audio surveillance of your property. We provided that service to you. The signed copies of the work order are in the files. We placed 10 digital motion activated video cameras upon your property in areas that would provide complete coverage of all comings and goings, as well as the main living areas of your home. We have complete copies of all those recordings except for the recordings of your bedroom." Shultz and the other agent Carter sat there with their mouths hanging open. It was so quiet in the room I swear I could hear them drooling. "Is that something that might help your investigation?" I asked. Their heads started to nod, "Yes" one of them muttered. "Do you have the capability to copy of all the recordings at high speed? I do not feel that we should have to give up the originals. The volume is too great to use standard methods. You can have everything we have, and if there is an issue about clarity you can view the originals at any time. Don't forget we have the memory card from the camera that took the pictures." "We can have it here no later than this afternoon." Carter replied. He walked to a corner and made a call. "I have reviewed the recordings from our bedroom; I doubt that there is anything that would help you unless you want to try to charge her with trying to screw me to death. If you think you have need of them you can watch them at my place; the only recording from our bedroom that I think you might need to see is the 2 different views where Rich and Kat are rutting. Do not forget to copy the telephone recordings." Sean spoke up and asked if they wanted the records from the 2 GPS devices. Their eyes started to glass over. "You tracked their movement too!" "We only tracked them after the attack. Now,'" I said "what can you tell us about your investigation that will not compromise it. Sue and Sean are officers of the court and can not divulge any information without loosing their business. I need to know how to protect my family and myself from harm. I am not about to say anything that will help the people you are investigating." Sue and Sean showed them their ID's. Shultz started to tell us about the investigation. "The 2 sets of license plates are registered to a company in the next state, There are 2 other company vehicles we are watching for as well; the sole owner of that company is one Richard Roberts. . He, as you know, was in jail for the rape of your wife. He was released on Parole about 6 weeks ago. His address of record is just this side of the state line, and about a ½ hour drive from the address of record for the company that owns the vehicles." "We have been watching the address he is supposed to be living at and have seen no activity. We have not seen him at the business address either. We also have not found either of the vehicles that were in your driveway, or the other 2 they own." "The long and the short of it is we have a great deal of information but not the correct information. Mr. Roberts is required to check in with his probation officer tomorrow before noon, we hope to get a tracking device on his car when he checks in." At this point we are hoping that some of the locations you recorded earlier will be of use in trying to find him." "You may have noticed a lot of people you do not know in town. At this time we have 6 agents staking out your home, 2 agents near the bank, and some around the school where your wife and daughter spend time. We can not tell you where and how many, but they are there for their protection. There are backups waiting to swoop in at a moments notice, I won't say where they are." Well, I had seen 2 of the agents near the house; I did not care about the bank and knew of about 13 agents near the school by Merry's count. I said nothing about them. "We have just this morning received the original copy of the insurance policy at another of our offices; the checks you gave us should be there in about an hour. They will do a careful analysis of the handwriting to determine if there is fraud involved." "That is where things stand at this time." Someone knocked on the door, entered when called in, set a box on the table and left. Agent Carter said "That is the device to copy the memory cards." The damn thing was smaller than a pack of playing cards. Shultz dialed a phone number and reported that there was no activity at the areas we needed to go to. I was placed in one car and taken home. Sue, Sean, their lawyer and 4 agents were placed into a delivery van with no windows and sent back to their office. The van pulled into their warehouse and discharged the occupants to go pull and copy the files. 10 minutes later the van was back on the road with a flash drive holding all the locations that Rich had gone before the rape arrest. For good measure they also had the list of where Kat had gone during the same time. A little over 4 hours later they had a copy of every recording ever saved at my farm and they were gone. I had been told to continue life as usual until otherwise notified. The next day as I drove into town to pick up some bags of feed at the mill I saw a dark blue pick up, with out of state tags, parked near the court house. I was sitting at a red light on the square when a boy who looked to be about 15 came running out of the park after a ball; it went under the truck. The boy ran up to the truck and announced that their ball had rolled under the truck, and then he asked if he could reach under and get it. The driver nodded his approval so the boy lay on the ground, slid under the truck picked up the ball and reached into his pocket before he grabbed the frame of the truck to pull himself out again. He ran around to the driver's side thanked the man and ran off. That took 15 seconds, tops. I thought, "That was really slick if it was what I thought I saw." I found out after the case was over that it was what I thought. Can you say GPS? I knew you could. The boy was an agent in training who just looked really young; I found that out later too. I drove on to the mill without a second glance. When I left to head home the truck was gone. Life continued at the usual pace for the next 3 weeks, I noticed 2 more of the 6 agents who were staking out the farm; the other 2 must be really good. It was a Friday when agent Shultz came out to see me at the farm. He was all smiles. "Thank you for your assistance, it made our job so much easier. We have Mr. Roberts in custody, along with 3 of his cronies. We believe we have everyone and the case is airtight. We are ready to charge him with the murder of his first wife, attempted murder of you, 2 counts of insurance fraud, extortion, blackmail, multiple counts of rape, embezzlement of funds from the real estate company, kidnapping and illegal detention of your first wife. We also have him for exceeding the speed limit and running a stop sign just for shitzangiggles." "Your ex-wife Kathy is being held in protective custody; she will be one of our main witnesses against them. Even without her testimony we have a slam dunk case here. The information we got from you made the case that much tighter." "Will Kat be charged with anything?" He replied, "No, when she disappeared, he had her kidnapped. When she went to the bank the first time she was given papers to fill out for the court order to get her money out. He had her fill them in and mail them back to the court. There was a copy of her drivers license, still had her old address of the farm on it, as proof of identity. The notary who signed off on the form knew just about where they lived. His description of the place put it where our GPS and your older GPS records showed he had gone." 4 months later in Federal Court the trial began, Kat was nowhere to be seen until the day she testified. She was escorted into the courtroom by 6 burly bodyguards, all 7 of them had on flack jackets and protective headgear. Kat had a rough time testifying as to the facts in the case; she broke down and cried many times over the 2 days of testimony. The lawyer for Mr. Roberts and his cronies tried to make her out as a spurned lover, a whore, an adulterer and any other thing that popped into his head as he rolled along. There were tapes made from a bug that they put into her bra when she returned to the bank to get her money, the money was all marked and serial numbers recorded. She also had a bug in her purse and one in the bag she carried the money out in. BobKat Too Kat testified that Rich had been blackmailing her for years to provide sex; she had performed in porn flicks while in college. It was an easy way to pay for her degree. He was going to expose her to the community and me if she did not put out. The fact that she had my child instead of his was due to the fact that he was shooting blanks due to a childhood illness. He was running short of the funds he had stolen from the insurance company so he decided it was time to take the money she had left behind and use it for his next project. That was to murder me. He swore that she would die just like he killed his first wife if Kat ever turned on him. Somehow she managed to get him to admit, while she had the wire on, that he had setup the trip to Brownsville so she would be out of town when his guys tried to kill me the first time. He was extremely vocal about the clumsy way they "fucked that one up." That was on tape too. The insurance fraud was for collecting on his first wife when he had her killed and for the fake signature on the documents when I had applied for the 6 million dollar policy. You do know that I had never applied for that policy. Sue and I sat through every day of testimony in the case; just shaking my head at how truly fucked up in the head this guy was. Merry tried to come to the trial but the testimony caused her to have bad nightmares. Sean wanted to come too, but he was required to testify about the authenticity of the data/images he had in his possession. Sue got herself excused from testifying so she could sit with me. She was required to have no contact with Sean for the duration of the trial. She went to stay with Mom and Dad. After 2 weeks of testimony the case was handed to the jury. 47 hours later they came back with a guilty verdict on every charge. I decided that I did not need to go to his sentencing, but Sue and Sally went. After Rich's sentencing, Kat was released from protective custody with a new identity and a new face from plastic surgery. She called me to say how sorry she was about all of the things that had happened. I told her it was all too fresh, I needed time to digest what I had heard. Then I asked her to call me in a year to make arrangements to talk. I did tell her that I was in love with my Merry and foresaw no chance that I could leave her. She asked about Mom and Dad and said she was sorry to have disappointed them. She had started to feel as if they were the only family she had ever known. Finally she asked how Kitty was doing. I told her that she was a straight A student in school. She loved math and science the most and had many friends there. I told her that Kitty loved Merry as her Mommy, but she knew she had a different birth mother than our other 3 children, yes we had more. It was a set of twins a boy and a girl. I promised within the next year Kitty would know her birth mother was alive and why she was not in her life. My birthday was around the 1 year mark. We made a decision that she would call on my birthday and we would make the arrangements about getting together at that time. Over the next months Kitty and I talked about her birth mother, sometimes Merry was there and sometimes she wasn't. We recorded the conversations so we would have a record of how things went. For the first 3 months we started to talk about whether Kitty missed or wondered about Kat. We brought it up slowly and worked toward the final goal of having them meet. After 4 months Kitty said she loved her Mommy but she always wondered about her other mother. I felt it would be best if Merry broke the news to her that Kat was still alive and wanted so desperately to see her. I was there sitting quietly to the side. Kitty cried out, "But you are my Mommy, I love you." "I love you too, very much. You hold a special place in my heart even though you did not come from my body. Your Mother Kat loves you very much too. She was taken from you when you were too young to remember her. All you have of her is the picture on your dresser." "I don't want to stop loving you." Kitty cried. Merry went on to explain that you can love more than 1 person. Your Daddy loved Mother Kat as much as he loves me. When she was taken he did not know where she was. He thought she ran off and left the 2 of you. We have found out that she was taken against her will, she never wanted to leave. You love your Daddy and you love me, you have a big heart and I am sure you can find the room in your heart to love your Mother Kat." The next day Kitty came to see me in the barn. She told me she loved her Mommy and she loved me. She asked where her Mother Kat was and why she was not there with us. I explained about the kidnapping of Kat, how she was rescued from the bad people and why she was sent to live in another place. I told her that her face was changed to look different so the bad people would not recognize her and hurt her again. I told her that Mother Kat was going to call on my next birthday at 6:00 in the evening. We would make a decision about where and when we would get together again and how far things should go. Kitty turned to leave then turned back to me and said, "I love you and Mommy and I want to meet Mother Kat, I hope I can love her too. The week before my birthday we had a visit from Agent Shultz, he found me in the barn. He needed to let us know that Rich had been killed the month before in a prison fight. His accomplices tried to help him but they were ambushed when they tried and were killed too. The last one had succumbed to his injuries 2 nights before without regaining consciousness. He said that "If Kat wanted to she could return to the community with her new identity. We feel that it is safe for her to do so now." I thanked him for the info and said "Kat was scheduled to call later in the month and we would decide what to do at that time. We needed to digest the information and somehow get Kitty to understand. Did you talk to Kat yet about this?" "No, I need to get on a plane and go to see her next. I realize that this entire episode has been rough on all of you and I wish the very best for all involved." "Please, when you talk to Kat tell her to still call on my birthday." I took the memory chip in and gave it to Merry. I told her about the visit and asked her to watch the video. "I love you more than life itself, I never want to hurt you in any way but there is a new twist to our situation. I will never give you up for any reason. I would like you to help me to make a decision that all of us can live with. Please watch the video, think it over for the next 2 days, we can go out to dinner on Saturday and discuss it between ourselves before we decide to tell Kitty about any plans." Saturday we dropped Kitty and her siblings off at Mom and Dad's for an overnight visit. Those were rare and they cherished them. We told them "We were going to drive to the city for dinner and if we came back tonight it would be very late, we might stay overnight and come back the next afternoon." At dinner things were a little bit tense, I had no idea how we should approach this new wrinkle, I knew what I hoped would happen for Kitty's sake. After dinner we went to a small park in front of the motel where we decided to stay, we called and spoke to Mom and told her we had not even started to talk and would come home tomorrow. We both spoke to Kitty and told her goodnight and to be good. The others were asleep long ago. Kitty said she would give them our kisses. We sat there for a good 20 minutes before I finally asked if she had any ideas how we could handle the new problem. Merry slowly started to unroll a plan she had in mind. "When we talk to Kat we need to arrange to meet her in a neutral place, some place fun, some place none of us have ever been. Since it is now November I think a warm place would be good. Kitty needs to talk to her on the phone for a few minutes so she has a bit of time to come to terms with meeting her for the first time. If things are comfortable when we meet in person we should get her input on what she would like." She continued, "After we meet for the first time you and I can discuss what we think will workout for all of us before we present it to her." One thing I have learned is it is better to allow your wife to have the first input on a matter concerning a former wife. I was amazed at how smart my Merry was. I nodded my head to agree with all her ideas. She continued, "If things go the way I hope we can build her a small place on the corner where your property meets your folks. If things are not comfortable enough to allow that we can find her a place in town and allow her to visit from time to time. And I don't think it will work this way; but if she is a real bitch we can tell her good by and only allow cards and letters. I hope for Kitty's sake she can have the first." I said "We do not need to make a decision when we first meet, if things are strained we can always go for a second and third visit until we are more comfortable." We kissed and held each other lost in our own thoughts for a while, and then we went in and went to bed. In the middle of the night we rolled together and clung to each other as if our lives depended on it. In the morning I awoke and lay there looking at her, watching her as she slowly woke up too. She grinned and kissed me. We hugged and kissed more and ended up making love for the first time in a bed other than our own. We were like wild, passionate animals that could not get enough. Just before noon we finished. We showered together, Merry tried to get me to rise for a fourth round, it just did not happen. At lunch we behaved like newlyweds, and were affectionate for most of the drive home. She fell asleep about 25 miles from home, I let her rest. She woke when we pulled to a stop in front of the house; we left our bags in the car and ran upstairs to make love one more time before we picked up Kitty. The call on my birthday was right on time; I sat alone in the den and spoke to Kat. We discussed how the meeting would take place. We settled on meeting at Disney on the 27th of December. As we spoke I made and confirmed the reservations, we would meet and play for 6 days and return to our homes after the start of New Year. We discussed how Kitty was referring to her as Momma Kat. After that I put the phone on speaker and I called for Kitty to come into the room. She came into the room slowly, holding Merry's hand as tightly as she could. She looked like she could cry or run at a moments notice. I spoke and told Kat that Merry and Kitty were now here and asked her to say hello. Kat spoke "Hello Kitty. Hello Merry. I have heard so much about both of you and look foreword to when we can meet in person." Merry responded "Hello Kat, now I can put a voice with your name, I can't wait to meet you." Merry then waved her hand in front of Kitty's face; she was just sitting there staring at the phone. She looked like she might still run at any time. "Kitty?' Finally in a small voice Kitty said "Are you my other Mommy?" I heard Kat sob lightly; she responded "I gave birth to you. I understand that your Daddy told you about what I have been through; how I was kidnapped and held captive for years. I am finally free and would love to meet with you, your Daddy and your other Mommy and spend some time with you. Would you like to try that?" Kitty responded with a soft "Yes." It almost sounded like a question. I had previously told Kat that she could tell Kitty when and where we would meet. Merry and I had decided to do it that way. Kat spoke again saying, "Your Daddy has made reservations for us to meet at Disney and get to know each other again. I look forward to meeting all of you there." I could hear her softly sobbing on the other end of the line. Kitty said "Mommy Kat, please don't cry. I would like to love you just like I love my other Mommy and my Daddy." Kat broke down on the other end and cried with huge racking sobs. Finally I spoke, "It is bed time here, if everyone agrees we can speak again next week at the same time." Kitty said "Good night Mommy Kat, I hope I will love you." Kat said "Good night Kitty, I know I love you still." Merry and I both said "Good night" together. Then I said "Next week, same day at 6, everyone be safe." Kat said "Yes, you too." And she hung up. Kitty threw herself into Merry's arms and hugged her until she fell asleep. I carried her up the stairs and tucked her in, putting her favorite critter in her arms. She was smiling and had tears running down her face. I kissed her good night and pulled the door almost closed like we always did. Merry was sitting in the den still; as I walked in she was staring at the phone. "Life is about to become different." she sighed. "It will be what we make it." I told her. She sat on my lap and hugged me. We fell asleep like that. Around 3 in the morning she woke me and we headed of to bed arm in arm. The next morning just before the alarm went off she sat bolt upright in the bed and then ran for the bathroom. She just made it and emptied her stomach in the commode. I asked if she wanted me to call in for her, she thought she would be all right to go and teach. The next 3 mornings she did the same thing, she blamed it on the stress of the last few months. "It could be that, but I will make an appointment for you to see the doctor to be sure." I drove her and Kitty to school and picked them up when the day ended. The other children spent the day at Mom's. We headed over to the clinic for her appointment. When she came out she had a strange expression on her face. She said "The doctor says everything is fine." Why don't I believe her? That night we were lying in bed, holding each other. She leaned over and stuck her tongue in my ear and then she whispered "You are going to be a Daddy again." I was just ready to cross the line and sleep, I did. The next morning I told her about the strange dream I had. "I dreamed you told me I was going to be a Daddy again." She giggled and said "I did." I jumped out of bed and grabbed her up hugging her the best way I knew how. She gasped "Put me down before you hurt one of us." We had the second conversation with Kat the next week, things were much better this time. We all laughed and cried as we told stories of our lives. 2 ½ hours later we said our goodbyes. Christmas came and went; we announced the joyous news, of our new addition, at Christmas dinner. Dad mumbled to Mom "Do you think he has figured out what is causing it yet?" Mom elbowed him in the ribs and smiled. The next day we headed for Disney, I wanted to arrive the day before so we could settle in. Apparently Kat had the same idea. I saw her at the reception desk checking in, we stepped back and waited until she was done and gone. I did point her out to Merry and Kitty. We ordered pizza for supper that evening and ate in our room. Afterward Merry and Kitty wanted to go for a walk. I told them to be careful; and if they ran into Kat they should not let the cat out of the bag (so to speak) and say who they were. As it happened the 3 did cross paths in a rose garden. There were polite greetings of "Good evening." And they passed on. As they reached the end of a row Merry turned to the left and looked down the row to see Kat had turned also and was looking in her direction. With a polite wave they continued on through the garden. When Kitty got back into the room she exploded, "My Mommy Kat is real pretty!" "Still not as pretty as you." she said to Merry and she gave her a big hug and kiss. As I tucked Kitty into bed that evening she asked if "She could get back up if she had trouble sleeping?" "No" I responded. "Tomorrow is going to be a long busy day; we don't need you to be tired and grumpy all day." The next day we were watching one of the stage shows when I felt a movement behind me. I looked and saw it was Kat; I nodded and watched the rest of the show holding hands with Kitty. When the show ended we continued to sit there, waiting for the crowd to thin. This was the way we planned to get together. Only Kat and I knew it. The children were getting restless and wanted to move on to something else. As we stood I faced Kitty toward Kat and said, "Hello Kat, I am glad you could make it." She looked at Kitty and Merry and blurted out, "I saw you in the garden last evening, we said hello! I did not dare to dream that this beautiful young lady could be Kitty!" I said "Kitty this is your birth mother. Merry meet Kat." There were hugs, kisses, tears of joy and sorrow, everyone spoke at once and then nobody spoke at all. We were a sight to behold. We stood there staring at each other, like old friends who met after a long time and like new friends who had just met but .... Finally the ushers said they needed to ask us to leave, so they could get ready for the next show. We wandered toward the exit, kind of in a revolving circle. When we went out the gate we formed lines of 2's. We found a set of benches and all sat down. Then it started all over again. Finally Kat held up her hand and spoke, "I am truly amazed by the love I feel in this family that I am here to meet. I will never try to cause any harm to you. I had my chance with a wonderful man and threw it away because of my pride and vanity. If you choose to allow me to be a part of your lives I will be eternally grateful for whatever small part I am allowed to play." "Kitty, Merry, I can see the love that exists between the 2 of you. If I am allowed to feel even a sliver of that love I will be able to exist in bliss. The other children are all so beautiful and well behaved. Thank you for allowing a foolish woman to realize her fondest dream." Then she cried with joy. Kitty walked over and reached out to hold her hand; then she spoke in a small voice, "Please do not cry, everything will be all right. I promise." Then she hugged Kat for the longest time. She finally turned her head toward Merry and invited her into the hug. She kissed both mothers on the cheek and said to Merry, "I still love you so much that I don't know how to tell you. Please do not be upset if I love Momma Kat a little too." Merry just smiled and held them both tighter. Later that evening we separated and went to our own rooms. The excitement of the day was overwhelming; we all fell asleep as our heads hit the pillows. We slept the sleep of the dead and awoke the next morning to a bright, sunlit, blue sky. The first meeting of the day was between Kat and Merry; they walked off through the gardens and returned 3 hours later with smiles on their faces. We had lunch and then Kat and I sat at a table on the patio outside a little bistro, as Merry and the children went on rides. We talked about forgiving each other for the past. We clearly had feelings for each other but we decided that they needed to stay in the past and we should be old friends. But, no more than that. I told her that I had thought she was gone by her choice, my love for her slowly died with each passing day. I waited for a long time until I could no longer justify waiting any longer. I told her how I came to meet Merry and how long we waited to be sure we were meant for each other. I tried to describe the confusion in my mind when I found out what really happened. I did not know if I should feel anything toward her or just feel empty, both felt like they were wrong. I told her I really truly love Merry and could not live without her in my life. She told me that she still had some feelings for me, but she was not sure how to describe them. They were certainly not what we had before, more like a comforting warm feeling. It felt like she had found something she lost and knew she could never see again. It felt like a miracle. BobKat Too She went on to say how much she admired the way Kitty turned out. She knew the love that her daughter felt every day was what caused her to be such a wonderful, caring child. She said she was sorry for all the hurt we had in our past because of her actions before we were married. She wished she had found the courage to tell me instead of falling for Rich's blackmail. Most of all she wanted me to know I was the best friend and lover she could have ever wanted. What neither of my wives said was anything that they talked about. To this day they will not tell me about their conversation that day. The entire family had supper and we saw the evening sights together. Kitty walked between both of her Mommies holding hands and giggling like 3 school girls. That night Kat helped as we tucked her into bed. The next day was spent going on rides and going to shows; Kitty, Merry and Kat had their picture taken as a group with Mickey and Minnie. Kitty told Minnie that they were both her mommies. Minnie held her hands over her mouth and then gave both mommies a hug as Kitty gave Minnie a kiss on the cheek. That evening we went out for pizza at one of the restaurants. Kat and Kitty had their own table nearby; their conversation was animated and lively. They laughed, giggled, held each other and spent most of their time just staring at each other; in case this was a dream and they might wake up. They wanted to remember each other as well as possible. While they talked, Merry and I talked too. We decided to see what Kat's feelings would be about having the corner of our property. As we returned from supper Merry spoke to Kat about meeting with us in our suite after the children went to bed. Kat had an almost fearful look in her eyes. Merry held her hand and smiled. 10:30 that evening there was a quiet knock on our door, I opened it to find a shrinking Kat on the other side. I invited her in; we sat down in a circle around the table. "Does anyone care for a drink before we start?" Merry asked for water, Kat shook her head no; I got my favorite a DR Pepper. I brought water for both women. Merry asked Kat if she was happy where she lived; really, truly happy? Kat described how the neighborhood was nice, but she hardly knew anyone. She loved her job but again the other people there were not friends, just coworkers. "Would you feel comfortable moving back where you used to live?" Merry asked. Kat sat there with a puzzled look on her face; not sure what we wanted to know, not sure she could return and feel safe, not sure she could ever be happy again. She could not dare to believe what she thought she heard was true. I spoke, "We have a building right on our property that we will turn over to you if you want to live nearby, you would be able to see Kitty most days and be a part of her life." The tears were flowing down her cheeks like a river. Merry reached out and held Kat's hand and mine. I reached out and held Kat's other hand; the river continued. The water slowed down to a slight drip and ran out; Kat reached for her drink, had a healthy dose and looked at us as if she was afraid to speak. She spoke, "Since the day they took me away I have wanted to be able to come back, I can not believe that you are making me this offer and I am going to turn it down." Not believing my ears I asked her "Why would you turn down something you dreamed about for years? Are we missing something?" Kat replied, "I would feel too open on that corner. Every day my greatest fear is that someone will return and take me again. The house where I live is at the end of a dead end street, it backs up to a high security military base; even there I am afraid to go out in the yard for long. I need to study the surrounding area, before I can go out, to feel safe. I just could not live in the open like that." Merry was quicker than I, "Is there a place on the farm where you would feel safe?" I thought out loud "There is a place behind the house beside the dog kennels and backing up to the pasture where we keep the bulls and cows waiting to breed." Both women looked at me like I had lost my mind; then the looks relaxed and became thoughtful. Merry thought "It was the most secure area on the farm; it was close enough that we could watch for problems and far enough that everyone had their privacy. On top of that Kitty loved to work with the dogs and could train one to care for Kat." Kat smiled and then she frowned, "You can not separate that land from your farm, it would become land locked and the state had laws against that." She paused "You could apply for a mother, or tenant house permit. I don't need to own the land; I just want to be near someone who loves me again." I guess it helps to know real estate law. Two months later Kat left her job, sold the home she lived in and moved into a double wide behind our house. She provides child care for our tribe, including the newest pair. We had twins again, this time both boys. It was Kat's idea that she does the child care; she missed raising Kitty and did not want to be seen around the community too much. She attends church with us each Sunday; she is called Janet there. Nobody recognizes her as her former self, the surgery was that good. We pass her off as a cousin to Merry. She feels like she is. One of the sheriff's deputies attends church with us; he is sweet on her. She turns him down time after time. She told him she had her only true love and does not need another. Kitty graduates this spring; when told about the money Kat received when she was fired Kitty insisted that it be divided between all the children for higher education. Kitty will get double what the others get, Kat insisted on it. Kat is happy; she has a family that she loves and they love her back. After being in isolation while kidnapped and in protection, she is now surrounded by so many. I still love Merry with all my heart and do not desire to take up with Kat again; but I love her like a sister. She says that is good enough for her. Will there be more? I do not know. I might feel compelled to report back from time to time and tell you how Kitty's life turns out. But that, as they say, is another story. BobKat It turns out that Kat was 2 months pregnant with my baby before her day in bed with Rich; somehow her pills failed to work; it could have been that she was taking placebos. When our daughter was born we named her Cathleen, She answers to Kitty. DNA tests proved she was mine. The next spring when planting season came around Kat quietly left town, never to be heard from by anyone again. I was out picking up cattle this time. She never took any money, her car or her clothes. The only thing we found missing was her purse. Kitty was asleep through the whole thing in her nursery. I returned to find her alone in the house. The police investigated for 6 months off and on but they have no idea where she went. 4 years later I filed for divorce on the grounds of desertion. When Kitty entered Kindergarten I went to the PTA meetings where I met her teacher and we fell instantly in love. We did not date while Kitty was in her class; we dated quietly until Kitty went into third grade. That October we were married after the harvest was over. My new wife is named Merry. We have one child of our own and are working on our second child. Kitty loves her new mother and brother, she wants the next child to be a girl, and then she says we will have another boy. She promises.
