I lift my head from my desk realizing that I had fallen asleep sometime during the lecture. I look up to see my Spanish teacher, Senorita Romano, smirking down at me. Damn it, not again. "I am sorry," I murmur, "I didn't mean to, honestly." She looks down at me with her arms crossed. I hear her foot taping on the tile echoing of disapproval. The classroom is empty, it is just the two of us. How did I mange to sleep passed the classroom emptying out? "You should really stop sleeping in my class, Jamie" She says making it obvious that my apology did nothing to change her attitude. She walks away swaying her hips as she did. Her heels clack against the floor waking out of the trace I was in while watching her walk away from me. How could I not watch her? Her figure had an amazing hourglass shape. She wasn't thin by any means, but that doesn't matter, I love the full figure plus sized woman. I pick up my belongings that I had put on the floor and walk up to her desk as she collects her own things. "I-I'm really sorry. I don't know what happened," I plead to her with all the remorse I can muster in my voice. She looks up at me, her green eyes looking straight through me. I look straight down at her tanned skin. It used to be lighter, she must go tanning. "Jane," She responds with a lighter tone, "I really need you to pay attention in my class. This is all for your benefit, not mine. I wanted to teacher college level so I wouldn't have to deal with the high school irresponsibility." I shake my head in understanding and bit my lip out of nervousness. "I'll make sure I get a full night's sleep next time, I promise. I was actually up late studying for this class." I say shifting my books. I look up at her, she was looking straight at me smiling. "I just have an issue with Spanish. Why was I so good at French, but Spanish looks like Egyptian symbols to me." Her eyes drop down and she wraps her arms around her beautiful waist, pushing her breasts up almost out of her low buttoned blouse. "I'm not quite sure. They are very similar, I know both actually." She said returning her eyes back at my face. I fail look up from her shirt in time, she caught me. Shit. She lifts her chin up in an angle an smirked, "I suspect you need a little extra help?" "Yes," I respond shifting my entire body, feeling my cheeks turn red. "Are there any good tutors that you know of, or anyone in class I should pursue for help?" I absolutely hated asking anyone for help, but I needed to improve. I had never gotten less than an A in any language class and I wasn't going to start in college. "Not that I know of, but maybe you and I could figure something out," she says as she finishs putting her things in her bag. My heart drops. Private time with Ann Romano? Where can I sign up? I do my best to hide my excitement and shake my head in agreement. She looks up at me and smirks. "How about tonight? We'll go over a few things to see how much you know and go from there." "Alright, that sounds excellent." "I'll be at my office around 6PM." I raise my eyebrows and smirk. How dedicated to her job could this woman be? Not many professors would go out of their way or stay that late for a single student. She senses my confusion when she responds, "I have too many things going on this afternoon to do any grading. Teachers have lives too." Ouch, that isn't what my smile meant at all. I throw my hands up in defense and chuckle walking towards the door. "I will be there at 6, see you then." I close the door behind me walking slowly with the biggest grin I've ever had. Spanish being my last class on Tuesdays I walk across campus to my room only to find my roommate in her pj's watching TV on her laptop. "Go to class today, Kel?" Kelly looks up at me with an over dramatic frown. "Of course. I'm doing an after class veg session." That was the nice thing about having Kelly as a roommate. She knew when to be energetic and fun and when to mellow out and be lazy. We got along great, much to my surprise considering she looks like the dumb blonde cheerleader type and I'm a plus sized brunette sarcastic. I walk into our bathroom that was shared with the two girls next door. I look at my reflection, wondering if I should change and look better for my meeting with Senorita Romano. I squint and purse my lips, making a face at the mirror as Kelly walked in. "Cute face" she said swatting my butt. I yelped and laughed, "Thanks babe." Another fantastic thing about Kelly was that she never thought twice about my sexuality. I never hid the fact that I loved woman and she never hid the fact that she was brilliant and out to prove everyone who thought she was dumb wrong. We had only been rooming together for a semester and we had already shared our life stories. I flop down onto my bed and put my hands behind my head. "I have a meeting with my Spanish teacher tonight." She jerks up from her laptop and looks straight at me. "Ann Romano? Oh la la, you better not mess this up for us." I laughed at her use of "us." She had decided that I wouldn't be the only one crushing on Senorita Romano. I reciprocated by gushing over her beautiful Calculus teacher, Mr. Tatum. "I'm nervous," I confess, "I fell asleep again in her class." Kelly rolls her eyes at me and goes back to her laptop. Happily, I realize I wasn't attracted to Kelly in the least bit. She was a friend, a best friend and I didn't want that to change. I roll over in my bed, facing the wall and fell asleep. I hear my phone ring as I roll over to find it. "Hello?" "Hey Jamie, want to get some dinner?" It was Kelly. I look at my phone for the time. 5:45. Damn. "Ah, shit, no. I have my meeting with Senorita Romano at 6. Thanks for waking me up." "Oh, you mean your rendez-vous? Alright. Don't mess this up. One of us needs to get laid." Click. I jump up and fix my hair, spray perfume over myself and spruce up my makeup. I look in the mirror to make sure I look alright before leaving. My face screams adorable due to the fact that freckles are splashed across my cheeks and nose, my eyebrows express everything, my smile cost 6 years of braces, and my hazel eyes change their color with whatever emotion I feel. Probably doesn't help that I wear pastel colors and I'm barely 5'1. I rush to where Senorita Romano's office was, bringing all my class supplies to show that I have intentions of learning and studying. I get to her office two minutes late. I walk in apologizing, "Sorry I'm la..." I literally stop where I am as my eyes fall upon Senorita Romano. She is dressed in a form fitting red dress that hugged every part of her that needed to be held. Her lips are painted red and her dark brown hair is up in a frazzled bun. She is holding a pair of reading glasses in her hand as her toes balance a heel on it. "Sorry I'm late," I sputter out, regrouping. "It's alright Jamie, please have a seat," she replies pointing to a chair that sat across from her. She is reading assignments that were in Spanish and making marks every so often. She sighes and finishes the last paper in her stack and pushes them aside. She then stretches her arms up her chair groaning like she had just worked for hours. I feel my stomach do somersaults. I quickly look down and take out my materials in my attempt to look nonchalant. "Okay, so, tell me what you know," she says bringing her arms under her chest again and crossing her legs, her dress rides up her thighs. How the hell am I supposed to concentrate? "Uhm, well, not a lot honestly. I wish I had continued French," I mumble looking down at my hands. Her lips form a frown and she leans forward giving me almost a complete view of her evenly tanned breasts. "Jamie, let me help you. Don't give up so easily." I glance up and see her eyes were begging me for a chance. I am taken aback by sincerity that they possess. She quickly sits back in her chair and softly bites her lip as though her mind was solving a problem. I sigh and cross my legs and place my book on my lap, opening to the last page we had gone over in class. "I just have an issue memorizing the words. I can get all the grammar, I just mix up the Spanish words for the French ones," I say as I place my hands on top of my book. She smiles and lookes at me. "Alright, easy enough. I know exactly how to help." She bends down and pulls open her drawer. She takes out a deck of flash cards and hands them over to me. I reach for them with an overwhelming sense of lust that gave me the courage to look straight into her eyes. I intentionally brush my hand against hers. Senorita Romano looks down at her hand for only a second long enough for me to raise one eyebrow look at her with a devilish grin. I feel smooth. "Well look those over, they might help you" she says as I take the rubber band of the deck of flash cards. One side was in Spanish, the other in English. I graze my finger over the top card. Funny, the ink smudges. "Thank you Senorita Romano." "It's my pleasure. Like I told you, I deal with college level students because they tend to have more motivation. I would hate to see you discouraged, Jamie. You're very bright, just insecure. About so much..." I look up at her, I must have confusion written all over my face because her head flies back as she lets out a soft laugh that would have been contagious if I was not so nervous. I just grin and start to collect my things thinking that the meeting was over. "Sit down, Jamie, stay awhile. I need a little bit of company right now," she says begging me with her eyes. They hint at a sense of hopelessness and loss. I can't say no or leave. Those beautiful green eyes just move me. I can't stand to see those eyes look so lost. I don't know what got a hold of me. "Ann, what is wrong?" I say, grasping her hand that was rested on the desk. She looks at me in shock, but she doesn't pull back. I squeeze her hand as a means of comfort. She pulls her hand back in reaction and puts her hands over her eyes and starts to weep into them. For a moment I sit there in shock and am completely caught off guard. I quickly pull myself together and walk around her desk and stand next to her chair. I slowly take one of her hands away from her face and make a motion for her to stand. I take that soft, delicate hand and place it around my neck and guide her into a slow embrace. Her arms wrap around my neck and she weeps quietly into them as I try to quiet her down. I run my fingers through her dark brown hair softly, the years of crying to my mom had taught me to do as means of comfort. I squeeze her waist and let her cry into my neck and she quiets down. I guide her down into her chair. I stand next to her chair and hold her face and brush her tears away with my thumbs. Now it was her turn to look at my confusion as her green eyes flash a weak smile. I smile back, making an effort to make it wide and sincere. I do something I never thought I could do. I lean down and gently kiss her forehead and pull back. Realizing what I did I turn around immediately to get my things. Everything that just happened crossed a line that wasn't meant to be crossed. I curse my stupidity and desire for ruining what could of worked as a decent help in a language that was so foreign to me. "Stay," she whispers looking down at her hands then up at me. I look around the room as though I need to think about it. I sigh and flop down on my chair. I can't look at her, I place my right hand's fingers across my eyes, rubbing them. Wow did I really just do that? "Thank you," I hear closer than I expect and feel a hand pull my own away from my eyes. She is directly in front of me. Her eyes exemplify her emotions and my heart breaks because of the sadness I see. "Come here," I coo taking her hand and softly tugging it down. She sits sideways on my lap and throws her arms around my neck then pulls herself far enough away to look at me directly in the eyes. I still see sadness looming in her eyes but it was over come by a different emotion. I smile at her and squeeze her arm that is still hanging loosely around my neck. I see a tear brimming her eye and I raise my hand to catch it. She closes her eyes as it escapes her eye and I catch it. I just kept my hand there and soft stroked her cheek until she starts to smile. "Thank you, Jamie," she whispers leaning down, "I didn't mean to break down on you." She is biting her lip now and pulls her arms away from my neck and starts to get off of my lap. She os so vulnerable, but I know it was now or never. I wrap my hand back around her waist and pull her down. She lets out a little squeal in surprise and looks at to me ask what is up. As soon as her head turns I softly place my hands behind her head and I bring her close to me. I gently kiss those red painted lips that beg for it. I feel a rush of emotion that ranges from utter fear to confusion to absolute lust. It is incredibly soft and gentle and absolutely perfect. Her lips feel so perfect in between mine. I pull back and drop my hands and start to apologize when I feel her lean into me and kiss me back, hard. I wrap my arms around her waist and hold her as close as possible as she lets the kiss linger into the next one. I run my hand up and down her side, feeling her mouth open slightly to react to my touch. I take the opportunity to gently push my tongue against her lips. Immediately, her tongue welcomes mine by swirling around it. I place my hand on her thigh and start rubbing my hand gently up and down her leg, enjoying every inch of incredibly soft skin. She takes the chance to switch positions and she stands up looking at me with such lust that it takes my breath away. "Wow," I mutter under my breath and she tilts her head and smiles. She leans over my lap and kisses me with so much passion that I start to lean back in the chair. I feel her legs go on both side of me. Holy fuck, my Spanish teacher is straddling me. I moan into her mouth and pull her waist into mine. She whimpers with delight and places her hands under my ears and starts swirling my tongue with her own and sucking it into her mouth, gently at first and then with a certain hunger I never experienced before. I moan into her mouth and slide my hands up her soft stomach onto the beauties that are her breasts. I cup underneath them playfully and it is her turn to moan into me. I squeeze her boobs softly, but hard enough for her to feel it through her dress. She breaks our kiss and starts to kiss and licks down my neck. I can't help but moan and gasp and she takes her time finding where she gets the most reaction. She flicks her tongue against my earlobe and I can feel her cinnamon hot breath against my skin. I want to hear her moan into my ear so I firmly fondle her breasts. She gasps and moans into my ear and I can't help but moan in response. I feel her nibble and kiss my neck down to my collar bone back up to my lips. She passionately kisses my lips and pushes her chest into my own pinning my hands in between her breasts and my own. I snake my hands out and around to her waist where my hands roam down and cup her ass in the tight, red dress that I wish never existed. I push her chin passed my lips and start nibbling and kissing my way down to her glorious cleavage. Her moans echo in my ears and she softly thrusts into me giving me all the space I need to tease her on my way down. I am inches away from her cleavage when her office phone starts to ring. She shakes her head to ignore it, I continue my assault on her neck and collarbone when what I assume is her cell phone started to ring. She looks down at me and groans when she realizes how truly close I am to burying my tongue in her breasts. She whimpers and starts to remove herself off my lap when her office phone rings again. "Alright, alright," she mumbles. She picks up the phone in her surprisingly professional voice and sits with the phone cradled in the neck that moments ago I was worshiping. She frowns and her eyebrows cross. She grabs a pen and paper and acknowledges to the caller that she is ready to write something down. She scribbles something down and soon after hangs the phone up. "I'm sorry, Jamie," she says with a frown, "I have some business to take care of." I feel my heart break in two. I look down at my lap, trying to hide my disappointment. Her hand lifts my chin and she softly kisses my pouty lips. I feel my heart melt back together. "Don't give up on me," She whispers and goes back around her desk to collect her things. I stay seated and feel in a daze. She smiles at me and winks. "Lock up the office when you leave?" I nod in response and give her a smile. Before she closes the door, she blows me a kiss that I catch in my hand. Those lips will be mine. Feel free to comment and please vote. * Esther stood in front of her open closet searching for something to wear. Anything she pulled out just didn't seem right. She checked the time, he would be here in an hour, and she still had to shower and get ready. Since the rest of her assignments had been cleared, she just finished up some paperwork, filled Max in on what he needed to know and made arrangements with her coworkers to cover her other assignments. She was then able to leave the office early and head home. She made some calls to family and friends, letting them know that she would be out of town on business next week, but left it at that. And now Esther realized, she didn't have anything to wear! Before she could panic the phone rang. It was Lee, one of her best friends, calling to ask what she thought of throwing an engagement party for Sarah once she was back. "I think that's a great idea, but I have different problem right now. I've got a date and nothing to wear!" Esther wailed. "Are you kidding me, Esther? You have more clothes than anyone I know! And who is this date?!" Esther told the story of the coffee-collision and him coming to her office today, leaving out the part of him being her client. She wasn't sure why she did that, but somehow it didn't feel right to tell anyone about that. "So you want to impress this guy?" Lee inquired. "Yes, but I want to look sexy without coming off as slutty or something." "You don't have anything that looks slutty... well, not obviously slutty. Tell you what, you go head into the shower, and I'll come by and help you pick something out. OK?" Esther sighed relieved, "Thanks, I wouldn't know what to do without you." "This guy must be really something, if he's got you riled up like that." Lee stated. "I'll be right there." She hung up, and Esther headed into the bathroom. Twenty minutes later Esther was blow drying her hair while Lee went through her closet. She pulled out several outfits, calling them out for Esther to decide. "Do you want pants or skirt?" "I guess skirt would be nice, nothing too short though!" "Do you know where you're going? How fancy is it going to be?" "Don't know! I guess we're going out for dinner and drinks." She yelled over the blow dryer. "How about that little black dress?" "I think a little too much for a first date!" "I think I've got it!" Lee yelled the moment Esther turned off the dryer. Esther grinned at her, "No need to yell, I'm right here." Lee had to smile at that and held up a dress that Esther hadn't worn in over a year, and totally forgotten about. It was an emerald green one-shouldered satin dress with an oversized slit sleeve. It came down to about two inches above the knees and hugged all the right places without being tight. It was perfect! "I haven't even thought about that one. You're right, it's perfect." "Alright. We have another half hour before he gets here. Now finish doing your hair and we'll get started on your make up." Lee loved doing this. It was a like back in college, when she and her roommate helped each other getting ready for dates. "I'll leave ten minutes before he get's here, so I won't disturb you two. So hurry up, or you won't be finished by then!" Esther finished running a straightening iron through her hair and brushed through it one more time. Her hands shook a little, she hadn't been so nervous for a date in years. And Lee noticed. "Are you OK?" "Yeah, it's just... I don't know, I like him. Maybe this will actually work out for once." Lee gave her a hug. She knew Esther's history with men. For some reason she didn't have any luck with them. Not for her lack of trying. She was beautiful: petite 5'3", long dark brown hair that shone with natural golden highlights, almond shaped hazel eyes and a cute button nose, courtesy of her Asian heritage, a nicely toned body, thanks to Tae-kwon-do, with a pair of full breast many women would pay for, from the German side of the family. Men were usually attracted to her but somehow the relationships never lasted. And Esther couldn't figure out why, she wanted a steady relationship. She wanted to fall in love, marry and have children. But in the last six years, she had been dumped 3 times (!) by men who realized they were still in love with their ex-girlfriends, talk about rebound. Once she ended a relationship because the guy cheated and once it was in mutual agreement, because the chemistry wasn't there. Lee feared, that subconsciously Esther had put up a wall to not let anyone get too close to hurt her anymore. She was a strong woman: independent, intelligent and stubborn. Together with that protective wall she might push men away instead of letting them in to actually care for her. But she didn't voice those thoughts, hoping, that this time it might be different. She helped Esther finish getting ready, then gave her another hug. "You look gorgeous. He must be something special to make you this nervous. Don't make yourself crazy with what if's and so on. Just enjoy the evening and have a good time." With that Lee left, and Esther took the last couple of minutes to put on some jewelry and a pair of black high heels. She was checking her purse to make sure she had everything when the door bell rang. When she opened the door all she saw was bouquet of white roses. She gasped at their beauty. The bouquet lowered to reveal a pair of smiling blue eyes. They traveled down her body and Drew's face shone with admiration. "You look beautiful! Um... these are for you." He handed her the flowers as she let him into her apartment. "Thank you. The flowers are wonderful. How did you know white roses were my favorite?" She leaned forward to let him kiss her cheek in greeting and then turned towards the kitchen in search of a vase. "I have ways and means." He answered mysteriously. "You have a nice place. The view you have from your balcony is great." Small talk. He kicked himself inwardly. How come he couldn't find anything intelligent to say around her? Women didn't make him nervous; at least they haven't ever before. But somehow when it came to a regular conversation with her he didn't know what to say. He had also dressed with care for tonight: he wore a grey suit, which looked impeccable on his 6'2" frame, with a light blue button up shirt, open at the collar. She returned from the kitchen with the roses in a vase and set them on the living room table. "Yes, the view is nice, especially at night. Um... I'm ready to go if you want to." "Yeah, um... sure. Let's go." He cringed inwardly at his awkward behavior. They drove toward the city center in silence. Esther fidgeted slightly in her seat, not sure how to start a conversation. Then she remembered what Lee told her and decided to calm down. The date would be a disaster if they couldn't find a comfortable subject to talk about. Maybe they could find a way out of small talk, once they got talking "So, where are we going?" Drew looked a bit relieved that she had broken the silence, "I hope you like Japanese food. There's this great restaurant where they cook at the table and also have some of the best Sushi in town." "I love Japanese. Have you ever been there? You haven't had real Sushi unless you've had it in this place in Ginza, Tokyo. It's some of the best there is." That broke the ice, and they started talking about places they've traveled to, foods they like to eat. They had lively conversation throughout dinner, entertaining each other with anecdotes and travel trivia. After dinner Drew took her to a Jazz club. They had drinks and danced a little. She was surprised to find that he was a good dancer and she liked the way he held her close while moving across the small dance floor. They kept the conversation going, talking about music and other things. Throughout the evening they both avoided the subject of their jobs. After the band stopped paying around midnight they decided to leave. Outside the club Drew handed the valet his ticket. While they waited, they stood quietly holding hands looking into each others eyes. This had been a wonderful evening. She hadn't had such a great time on a date in years, Esther admitted to herself. He was made her laugh, and gave her the feeling of being protected. She shivered a bit in the cool night air. Drew noticed and shrugged out of his jacket and draped it around her shoulders. She smiled appreciatively up at him. Even in her high heels she only reached to shoulder. He couldn't remember when he had this much fun on a date. And now she looked at him so trustingly that he couldn't help himself. He pulled her closer, leaned down and kissed her. It was a very soft kiss at first, but then she responded by pressing closer to him and opening her lips. He felt the passion between them heat up. He buried his hand in her hair, the other wrapped around her hips and he almost lifted her off her feet holding her to him. Then they heard a discreet cough and they broke apart. Esther blushed. What had gotten into her, she usually didn't get this carried away from a simple kiss. Drew was catching his breath, smiling boyishly down at her. He too was surprised at his lack of control just then. The valet coughed again and Drew turned around. The young man looked guiltily to the ground and explained that he couldn't find their car. "Excuse me? What do you mean, can't find my car?" "Sir, I'm sorry. I have the keys right here, but I couldn't find the car on our lot!" "Are you sure you remember where you parked it?" "Sir, we parked over fifty cars throughout the night, I don't remember every one of them. But we always write down the license plate, model and color. Maybe I overlooked it on the lot, but I double checked. If you want, you can come and see for yourself." Drew shook his head in frustration. Than looked apologetically at Esther. "I guess I'll have to go and check it out. Why don't you wait here? I'll be right back." Esther nodded, "It's alright. I'll just have a seat on the bench over there." He squeezed her hand before letting go and followed the valet around the building to the parking lot. Esther slowly walked across the empty sidewalk toward a bench on the side of the building. She wasn't really paying attention to her surroundings, lost in her thoughts about the kiss. So she was shocked out of her reverie when somebody almost tackled her and ripped her purse off her arm. She stumbled and caught the edge of the bench to regain her balance. The thief ran off with her purse across the street and down an alley. "Hey, come back here!" Without thinking about it, Esther followed. Although running in high heels wasn't easy, she had some practice, wearing them almost daily. She saw as the thief panicked and headed into another side street. She followed and saw him climb over a chain link fence. She kicked off her shoes as she approached the fence intending to follow. As she set one foot into the fence and pulled herself up, somebody grabbed her shoulder from behind and thrust her to the ground. "Look what we have here... Isn't she a pretty one?" The man leered at her. She felt dirty just from him looking at her. She looked around for an escape route and found she was backed against the fence by three guys. She got to her feet and immediately got into a defensive position. "Stay away from me! If you come any closer, you'll regret it!" The men laughed at that. "That's fresh! Pretty little thing like you making threats." The first one said. "No need to be afraid, little lady. We just want to play:" The second one laughed at his own witty comment. "If you're nice to us, then maybe we'll be nice too. If not... well, we'll still have our fun!" The others laughed at number three's words. "Don't say I didn't warn you." Esther whispered. She took another step back, but only to gain a bit more space to move. For her attackers it looked like a form of retreat. Again, they laughed. Then number two lunged forward, wanting to push her full against the fence. But she reacted quickly twisting out of the way, using his own momentum to crash him into it head first. Number one then tried to grab her arm, aiming for her face with his other hand. She blocked the blow to her head and twisted under the hold on her arm while kicking the man in the stomach. He released her as he bent over from the pain. Number three than cam at her from behind, wrapping his arms around her torso. By then two had recovered and was coming at her from the front. She pushed herself off the ground using three as a lever and kicked two in the face, at the same time pulling her head back and hitting three square on the nose. He let her go just in time for her to fend off number one. She succeeded in placing several good blows before blocking another blow to her head, catching his wrist in the act, twisting and breaking it in one motion. Her attacker howled in pain. And with all three of them down she fled. On her way out of the alley she spotted her shoes where she had kicked them off and swiftly retrieved them before running back to the club. In the middle of the street stood Drew, anxiously looking around for her. When he spotted her coming out of the alley, disheveled and bruise, he ran to her quickly folding her into his arms. "What happened? Where were you?" In front of the club entrance stood his car, apparently he had found it. He maneuvered her into the passenger seat and squatted in front of her. "When you left, this thief snatched my purse and took off with it. I tried to catch him and followed him into an alley." She indicated the direction she had come from. She then recounted what had happened with the three guys that tried to attack her. "So you were able to fend all of them off. Are you all right, I mean did you hurt yourself?" "No I'm fine. Just a bit shaken. I guess those guys are worse off than me. I think it would be best if we called the cops." He nodded slowly, then leaned forward and placed a kiss on her forehead. "I'm glad you're OK." He gazed at her, which made her blush. Then suddenly he spoke, "Yes, we're coming in." "Coming in where? What are you talking about?" Esther was confused at his matter-of-fact tone and his suddenly cold demeanor. He got up, closed her door, and got in on his side. "What's going on? Why aren't you calling the cops?" He started the car and headed in the direction of the business district "Esther, I don't work for Marley Electronics. I work for the government, and this country needs your help. I'm an agent for the CIA, sent to develop you as an asset for my upcoming mission to China. All of your questions will be answered. Right now I'm taking you to safe house where you will be briefed." He said all that so matter-of-factly that she was stunned when he suddenly looked at her and added softly with apologetic eyes, "I'm sorry." Sorry for what? Leading her on? Turning a wonderful evening into nothing more than a job assignment? Kissing her like he meant it? Acting as if he cared? Esther was seething. She kept quiet, knowing, that if she spoke now she would lose her temper and maybe say things she could regret. She hated him at that moment. She had had hopes for this date, especially after that kiss. She had never felt such passion for someone, had never felt so comfortable with someone in such a short amount of time. And now it turns out it was all a lie. He was just playing her for an assignment. She would never forgive him that. But the practical side of her mind went through what he had just told her. The CIA wanted her. Why her, what made her so special? She wondered what that assignment in China was really about. And she had to admit, that she was a bit excited by the notion of becoming a real spy. Lost In Translation Ch. 02 How could I possibly give up on her? I look around her office and just take it all in. Yes, I did just make out with one of my professors and yes, it was sexy as hell. I feel my hands trembling and I clasp them together to make them stop. I bite my lip and think, what can I do to leave my mark? The idea strikes me as though it was sent from the heavens. I slide off my jeans and my lace panties that I wore, just in case. I take the panties and put them in the drawer where she got the flash cards from. I giggle to my self as I slide my jeans back on. Those panties are soaked. I walk back across campus to my room and find it empty and dark. I flop down on my bed and feel my stomach doing somersaults out of nervousness and being so wound up. I run my hands through my hair and decide to call Kelly to see where she is at. "Hey you," Kelly answers, I can hear the smile in her voice. "How did it go?" "We'll talk about it when you get back" "Damn, I'll be out late tonight. I have a midterm tomorrow." "Your loss. How late?" "I don't know, don't wait up for me." "Alright, I won't. Bon chance!" "Merci ma cherie!" Click. I look at my phone as my mind reflects everything that just happened. I can still feel Ann's breath in my ear and her legs straddling my lap. I no longer feel obligated to call her by her last name. That line is crossed. God, I just want to fuck her, not even make love. I rest in my bed for a while, feeling my entire body pulse with unleashed stimulation. The feeling has exhausted me. I've decided to go the shower, maybe that will help relax me. I undressed in my room and walked into the shared bathroom with my towel wrapped around my torso. The water started with a fury and I jumped in, letting a moan escape my lips, it felt so relaxing. As I lathered the shampoo in my hands I heard the door open and close softly. I figured it is just one of the other girls so I continued to massage my scalp and clean the day away. As I rinsed the shampoo out of my hair I felt a presence behind me, then hands on my scalp. I started to turn around until I heard a whisper in my ear, "Bonjour, mon amante." I felt goosebumps begin all over my skin. The voice was slightly drowned out by the water, but I know for sure Kelly does not know enough French to know the word for lover. My head was being turned for a kiss and that is when I knew who it was. Ann's cinnamon hot breath took mine away. I felt her soft lips caress mine and I almost collapsed. She wrapped her arms around my waist and held me still, working slowly on my lips, flicking them open. Her tongue slid past my lips and my tongue eagerly welcomed it. She moaned as I sucked on her tongue and flicked it with my own, taking time to pay it all the attention it needed. It was her turn to make me moan as she pulled back and kissed the back of my neck over to my ear. Her hands massaging circles across my stomach as her mouth made wonders across my skin. She concentrated her kiss on one area of my neck, biting it, licking it, kissing it. She made me gasp and moan under her mouth and I could feel a smile creep across her mouth. Suddenly, her hands grasped my breasts and she started to squeeze them. My hands flew up as I gasped and I threw my head back out of passion. She chuckled and continued kneading my breasts and kissing my neck and color bone. I was lost in how she made me feel. Her hands started to touch with a softness and delicacy. I tried to thrust forward but she just softly laughed in my ear and whispered, "No, Jamie, not yet." Her voice was so smooth and had flares of sounding husky that turned me on like never before. "Please Ann," I begged, "Touch me." "What do you think I'm doing?" "Please Ann, I..." That is all I could get out as she pinched my nipples with her fingers. She covered my mouth with her's suppressing my moan, creating a dull hum. She kept pinching my nipples with an increasing intensity as my moans became more deep and passionate. Even with the water there, I could still feel my own wetness as it was repeatedly washed away. "Do you like how I'm playing with you baby?" She whispered. "Yes, I love it." "Good, now I want you to lift your leg up on the ledge. Can you do that for me, baby?" I nodded yes, realizing at that moment that whatever she asked me to do, I would do it. I lifted my leg up on one of the shower ledges and balanced myself by placing on hand on each side of the shower. "That's my girl," she cooed as she rubbed her hand over my inner thigh, gripping it and making me squirm. I felt ready to explode then and there. "Hold still," she commanded. I froze exactly as I was and waited for her instruction on what she wanted next. She placed her hand on the inner corner of my thigh and her other gently found its resting place on my breast. She leaned in for a slow, luxurious kiss that made the world spin. It started slowly, with soft eager lips, soon becoming more urgent and demanding. As I started to open my lips to wrap my tongue around hers, she closed her lips and kissed my lips with a greater intensity. She opened her mouth and slid her tongue into mine. Simultaneously, her finger tips started grazing my outer lips and her other hand was circling my breast. I melted feeling her all over my body. Her hand slowly made its way into my slit where she moaned at how wet she had made me. I was rewarded by feeling her fingertip lightly graze my clit and rub below it. I moaned feeling the familiar tingle build inside, waiting for release. I tried moving my hips forward, but all she would do is rub where she would almost enter me to just below my clit. I began to hump her hand regardless. She giggled into my ear asking, "Jamie, are you horny? Does my little slut want to get off?" I was taken aback by her language for a second until her fingers found my clit and my nipple at the same time. I almost screamed out from the sensation. I decided right then and there that she could call me whatever named she wanted to, it was worth it. Her tongue flicked across my neck and against my earlobe, her fingers massaged my nipples and her other hand was working my clit with amazing accuracy. It was like she knew exactly how I wanted to be touched. She continued her assault on my clit with her thumb while her other fingers slid down and I could feel a single finger meticulously slide in. I ground my teeth to keep myself from climaxing to soon and gasped as she slid another finger inside. "Mmm, Jamie, you're so tight. You're poor pussy doesn't know what it has gotten itself into. I'm going to fuck the hell out of you girl. For now, I'll be gentle. Don't expect that later." For now? Later? Oh my god, she was so into me that she already made plans for the future. I was ready to cum at just the thought as she was pumping her two fingers deep inside of me, twisting them about and some how maintaining the perfect pressure on my clit. "Not yet, Jamie," she purred into my ear. I found her lips to help muffle my moans and screams as she continued to thrust even deeper into my barely sexed pussy. I was bucking against her hand and moaning into her mouth so much that she pulled away. She looked me straight in the eyes with a look of complete lust and whispered, "Fuck my hand, Jamie. I want to feel your tight pussy cum all over my fingers." I moaned throwing my head back as her thumb attacked my clit and her fingers shot in and out. I was about to scream her name when she covered my mouth in a kiss. I started trembling as her two fingers twisted in and out. She pumped her fingers into me harder and harder as I bucked against them moaning into her mouth. The water landed on my body in just the right way, her thumb was working wonders and my nipples screamed for relief when I was able to let go. I came hard, screaming into her mouth, bucking and squeezing the hell out of her fingers. I shook so bad and trembled hard. She held me in the shower as my body went limp. She took it upon herself to condition my hair and wash my body, essentially finishing my shower for me. She was gentle on all her areas of focus and was soft with every move. I swooned at her ability to go from being a completely dominate sexual goddess to being the woman I just so happen to be showering with. She helped me out of the shower, drying me off and wrapping me in my towel. She led me into my still dark dorm room where she handed me my clothes and left me to get dressed as she went back into the bathroom. I was in a complete haze, barely looking at her face. I had gotten my fresh cotton shorts and t-shirt on when she came out of the bathroom fully dressed. All I saw was her outline but I felt the material of her dress as she kissed me as I placed my head on my pillow. "How did you get in?" I asked, completely confused of the reality of the situation. "Don't worry about it, Jamie, okay?" I didn't push it. She bent down and kissed me with soft lips that had a romantic touch to it. "Goodnight, mon amante." Ann whispered in my ear. "Jamie, wake up. Shit we both overslept!" My eyes fly open. I look across the room only to see Kelly there and the clock saying 9:01. Class started a minute ago. I jump out of bed and into the bathroom where I look at my reflection. I'm in my clothes from the day before and my body still aches of being ignored. Ann Romano, that is the last time you invade my dreams. Consider yourself fucked. Lost In Translation Ch. 03 Please read Chapter I and II first, as this is an ongoing story and will make little sense without them. Chapter III Esther was silent until they pulled into a parking garage. He drove all the way down to the bottom level. They got out and he led her to an elevator. When the doors had closed he inserted a key into the panel with the buttons. She knew those keys were usually used in hospitals for priority rides or for special access floors in some buildings. He turned the key and punched in a combination of buttons on the panel. She felt like they were moving down instead of upwards. How could that be, when they were already on the lowest level of the building? 'But I guess the CIA has to have secret safe houses hidden where nobody expects them. Wouldn't have thought to search here. But that would be the point.' Esther's head was spinning with information and questions. The door opened with a bing and they walked into an empty room. Drew walked up to a door opposite the elevator and pressed his hand and eyes to a scanner. The door opened to a hallway. He led her down the hall into a room furnished with a table, two chairs and a computer. On the table was a file. He motioned her to sit and then picked up the file. "What exactly is going on here Drew? If that's even you real name!" "My mission is what I had explained to you this morning, plus some minor details I left out." "And what would those be?" "All in its due time. I hereby ask you officially to help the CIA on this mission." "And why would I do that? What makes me so special that you need me? Don't you have enough agents to this job for you?" "We need you, because your job makes you unsuspicious, if you were checked no red flags would come up. Second, your abilities with languages and martial arts give you a good basis for agency training. Third, your personal background suggests that you would make a good agent." "What the hell do you mean by that?" He flipped open the file and scanned over it. "Esther Christine Hae-Won Wieland, born March 2, 1984 in San Antonio, Texas. Daughter of Colonel Kurt Wieland, German Air Force, former fighter pilot, born in Karl-Marx-Stadt, East-Germany, family fled to the west before the build of the Berlin Wall, and Yun-Hae Wieland, née Park, surgical nurse and housewife, born in Seoul, South Korea, parents fled from the north during the Korean War. One brother, Daniel Wieland. Master in American Literature of the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, with minors in Economics and Chinese. Moved here 4 years ago to work at Jones & Bartlett Translations International. Speaks 7 languages fluently and is adept in several others. 6th dan Black Belt in Tae-kwon-do. – Quite a feat at your age, impressive. Do you want me to go into further detail?" "How do you know all that?" "We know everything we need to know about anyone. Your father's history in the military give you props concerning intelligence work and both your parents fled communist oppression, which is always a good thing. We know how important your family is to you, and how loyal you are to them and your friends. Loyalty and trustworthiness are key in this job. "With your double citizenship it is easy for you to live in different countries, you can freely move across the EU with your German passport. And your American passport gives you the freedom to live and work in the US. That means it's easier for us to build a cover for you. "I can't give you anymore details about the mission, save, that this is a weapon that cannot fall into the wrong hands." "Thanks. No pressure there!" Esther retorted sarcastically. "Of course there's pressure. But your country is asking for your help. Believe me, we wouldn't ask if it wasn't absolutely necessary." "Can I think about it?" "Sorry, but we need an answer ASAP. I can register you while you think, but before I can brief you on any other details, and start your training, you will have to accept." He was trying to sooth her a bit. "What about tonight? Or is that classified, too?" He knew she wouldn't overlook that. "I can only say right now, that yes, tonight was part of my assignment to recruit you, " he saw the anger burning in her eyes, so he tried to recover "but I have to admit, I haven't such a good time on an assignment in a long time." Somehow that didn't strike the right cord. She was silent a little longer, and he feared, that she would flat out refuse. Not that that was really an option. And she knew that. Esther was seething again. How dare he imply that playing with her emotions was nothing more than a fun game for him? 'I'll show him. I won't let this opportunity pass me by. I'll show him what he missed out on. And when he comes begging for another chance, I'll drop him like the ass he is!' She knew it was mostly anger speaking in her right now. Although she wouldn't admit it, that passion she had felt between them could not have been faked, and could not be turned off just like that. But she would fight that admission every step of the way. "Where do I sign? ...And can I get a new handler?" Drew sighed in relief but also in resignation. He hoped that he could save the botched relationship, so that they could continue working together. Somewhere in the back of his mind was also the hope he could revive their romantic relationship but he ignored it. That wasn't priority here. "I will be your handler for this mission, if you still insist on getting someone else afterwards, I will arrange for that. Right now, I need to register you." He stepped over to the computer and pulled up her registration file. He asked Esther to stand in the corner of the room. A panel slid to the side and revealed a hand and eye scanner. Her biometrics were registered and the scanner slid back out of view. Then two milk-glassed walls came out around her, virtually boxing her in, leaving only a small space open so she could easily step out of the confines. "We will do a full-body scan now, taking all your measurements. Please remove your dress, shoes and all jewelry. You can leave on your undergarments." Esther looked at him skeptically, but then shrugged and did as he asked. She stepped back into the boxed in area and held still as the scanner went up and down her body on all sides. Drew hadn't peeked at her when she undressed, but when her measurements came up on the screen he couldn't resist a glance. His mouth went dry. She was wearing a matching set of black silk panties and bra with a green lace trim along the edges. One of the bra straps went diagonally across her chest leaving one shoulder bare. He had wondered how she had supported those 36D breasts in that sexy one-shouldered dress. He realized he was staring when she cleared her throat and glared back at him. He blushed and busied himself at the computer. He felt a bit embarrassed at being caught, but didn't know why. Usually he brushed such things off or made a sexy remark to wrap a woman around his finger. He was behaving like a school boy with his first crush. What the hell was the matter with him? When she had dressed she sat down at the table again and waited for him to finish whatever it was he was doing on the computer. Suddenly the door opened and a man stepped in. Esther realized that it was the thief who had snatched her purse in front of the club. At first she was surprised but then glared at Drew's back. "Care to explain?" Drew turned, back in agent-mode, and coolly made introductions: "Esther this is Agent James Walker. He is part of my team. All of the guys you had to deal with tonight are. It was their job to test how you would react in the field. I gather you handled yourself quite well." Agent Walker grinned and handed Esther her purse. "You gave the guys quite a beating. Schwarz is nursing a broken wrist and Hunter a broken nose. I hadn't seen that one coming. You seem to have come away almost unscathed. Not bad at all." Esther beamed at that. "What about the guy I kicked in the face?" "O'Malley is sporting a black eye. You left them with a strong first impression! I'm just glad I wasn't at the receiving end." He laughed. He sobered immediately, when Drew cleared his throat and glowered at him. "Report is on your desk, Carrow. The team is getting patched up in the infirmary. If that is all, I will be on my way." "See you in the briefing room at 1400. Good job out there tonight Walker." "Thanks. I'll let the team know. Good night. Esther." Walker gave her an encouraging nod and left. Drew gathered the file from the table and headed for the door. "I'll take you home, it's late. I would like to get started on your training in the morning." Esther was tired; she had barely noticed that until then. It had been an interesting night and she was curious of the day that would follow. * * * * * Drew picked her up at 9 in the morning. He had dropped her off at home around 2.30 a.m. and Esther had only had a few hours of sleep, but she felt ready and fit for the day. As he had said he wanted to start training, she had decided on wearing a pair of sweat pants and a simple black tank top. This was not the time to be high maintenance. She had packed clothes to change into her gym bag. They were back at the 'fortress', as the safe house was called, and he led her into a gym area with exercise mats, a climbing wall and a weight room. Mounted on a wall was a collection of weapons, everything except for firearms. Esther was knew how to use a few, such as long staff, nunchaku and sais. She had also had some sword training. They took their places in the center of the mats and did some sparring practice. Then they went through some of the weapons on the wall, including some she hadn't trained in before. Drew felt like he was in heaven and hell at the same time. Esther was good and he was very impressed with her skills, but every time they came in skin contact he felt little bolts of heat zinging through his body. Whenever one of them had the other in a hold he wanted to stay like that and enjoy the 'embrace'. More than once he had to suppress the urge to pin her down and kiss her senseless. He wasn't sure why he reacted so strongly to her. He had female partners before, and sometimes had more than working relationships with them, but this was the first time it actually affected him during his work time as well. If he couldn't get his libido in check, he was in for trouble. He was lusting after her, but she would probably let hell freeze over before she would let him do something about it. He knew that at some point he needed to get her out of his system, but right now was not the time. Esther used the training to expel her frustration over him. It felt good to just let it all out, and at the right target for that matter. She wasn't sure why it hurt so much. It's not like they had had a relationship or anything. It was one date, and she felt almost like her world had come crashing down around her. She had liked him, a lot actually, but that was no reason to be so angry with him. 'He should have just told me what he wanted from the beginning, and not played with my emotions like that.' With that thought she hit him square on the chest with a satisfying side kick, sending him sprawling to the floor. As he got up he checked the time and decided to wrap it up for the time being. After showering and changing they went to a small kitchen where he pulled a couple of sandwiches and bottled water out of the refrigerator. All morning they had kept their conversation strictly about the training and Esther was fine with that. It was good that the exercise had powered her out, because else she would have probably yelled her frustration out at him. "Do you remember what you said to me when I asked you out?" Drew suddenly asked. Esther shook her head in surprise. She hadn't expected him to broach the subject of their date. "You said that if this date doesn't work you would still expect me to be professional until this assignment is over. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but we have to work together on this, so let's just keep it professional. You can hate me all you want in your free time and after, but for now, let's try to be civil." Her emotions were still in a jumble, but he was right. She had expected it from him, and she expected it from herself. Petty behavior would not help. "You're right. Let's just leave whatever happened behind us and move on. So, what's next on the schedule?" "Briefing is at 2, there I will introduce you to the rest of the team and get you up to speed on everything concerning our mission. And later I would like to see how well you handle yourself on the shooting range." * * * * * At the briefing she was formally introduced to the rest of Drew's team. Walker she had met the night before, and Schwarz, Hunter and O'Malley were carrying the signs of their meeting with her for all to see. She found out that Schwarz and Hunter were only temporarily assigned to the team to help recruit her as an asset. As they were not part of the mission itself, they left after names and greetings were exchanged. "You owe us a rematch when you're back from your assignment." Hunter joked as he walked out of the door of the briefing room. O'Malley was the computer specialist of the team, Walker handled weapon supplies. The team was rounded off with Dr. Pike, a tall, pretty woman about the same age as Esther. She wore her red hair in pigtails and had slim, black rimmed glasses perched on her nose. She was introduced as the medical officer and psychologist of the team. "Call me Liz. I had to patch the boys up last night... my highest respect for the job you've done on them." Liz approached Esther with a broad smile and shook her hand in welcome. Esther immediately felt comfortable with Liz. Maybe she had found a friend. Drew didn't let her dwell on that thought for long and pressed on with the briefing. He pulled up pictures and reports on a smart board. "This is Chen Wei, CEO of Chen-Corp. He's been under suspicion of illegal activities including human trafficking, drug and weapon trade. But nothing has ever been able to stick. Plus, he has friends in high places in the Chinese government, rendering him virtually untouchable. He has been put in connection with supplying terrorists with weapons and money. He's a scumbag of the first order! "Our informants have let us know that he's developed a new bio-weapon which he will be auctioning off next week, using the prototype invitational as a cover. If this weapon falls into the wrong hands, it could mean death to millions of people. "Our job is to make sure the deal never goes down, and secure the weapon. If we happen to eliminate Chen in the process it would be an added bonus." Drew made a pause to let all the information sink in. Esther thought about what she had just learned. She was a bit flabbergasted that men like Chen actually existed, he sounded like a villain out of a James Bond movie. "What do you mean by 'secure the weapon'? Shouldn't we try to destroy it, something so dangerous shouldn't exist!" she questioned. "The CIA wants to secure it for research purposes. We don't question our orders, Esther. We do our jobs, even if we do not agree with all of it." Drew answered harshly. "Now you and I will go in as representatives of Marley Electronics, part of the prototype invitational. We will make the acquaintance of Mr. Chen and then I will let shine through that I also have connections to the white supremacist scene and am searching for some new merchandise. Now Esther, it will be obvious that you have no part in this, as you are of mixed racial decent. That will give us an air of inconspicuousness. I will rely heavily on you to charm the man out of any and all favors you can get. I will occasionally act a bit condescending toward you to keep up the façade. That will give you some excuse to go mingle with the other interpreters. I will brief you on who will most likely be present for the auction, and you will try to find an in with their interpreters." Drew went on about their support system, namely their team, with whom they would stay in contact in case of an emergency extraction. They would travel to China separately, two days ahead of them to set up base. After that he wrapped up the briefing. As the others left Liz stayed behind with Drew and Esther. "Esther? I hope you have some time for me now, I need to give you a full physical before we can send you out into the field." Drew opened his mouth to explain that he already had planned out the rest of the afternoon, but Liz gave him a pointed look and he remained still. He realized that this was about more than just a medical exam. Esther looked a bit overwhelmed with the information she was just given, and he guessed that Liz wanted to give her an outlet to process it all. She needed to talk with someone whom she didn't despise at the moment. He gave his nod of approval and left the girls to their own devices. * * * * * I hope you like where this story is going. I sometimes get a little carried away with the details so feel free to comment and critique, and let me know what you think. Don't forget to vote. I can only get better if you let me know what you don't like. Lost In Translation Ch. 04 Sorry it took so long for me to continue. School and exams and a small bout of writers block all got in the way a little. Please, as always, feel free to comment and vote. All feedback is very welcome. * * * * * "Well? What do you think, so far?" Dr. Pike and Esther were in the infirmary where the later was getting a physical. Esther had been quiet since the briefing so Liz prodded her a bit to let out her thoughts. "I don't know. It's a lot to take in. Not only the information, but the situation as a whole. I mean, it all seems so surreal! Drew being CIA, me becoming an asset, a mission to China... I don't know if I can do this!" Esther was becoming more insecure by the minute. The more she thought about it the more she felt like it was too much. Liz listened intently as she checked Esther's reflexes. "The reality of the situation didn't really hit you until the briefing, right? I could see how your demeanor changed as you listened to the mission briefing." "Yeah, something like that. I mean, why me? Why not somebody else? And all this stuff about terrorists and bio-weapons... The closest I have ever been to either was in a Tom Clancy novel! And I don't even like those! I can't go around pretending to people and lying! But that is essentially what you guys have to do on a daily basis to do your job! Hell, Drew even pretended to like me to recruit me! I can't do that, ignore my emotions, ignore my conscience, just follow orders! I... I... I can't..." Esther was talking herself into a fit. Her breathing became unsteady and she felt close to tears. Liz wrapped her arms around her shoulders and gave her a squeeze. "Calm down... no need to get upset... it's OK. Take a deep breath." When Esther calmed Liz took her hand and looked her in the eyes. "Esther... the question isn't IF you can do it; because you can, we know you can. That's why we recruited you. We can teach you the skills and give you the tools to do this job. The question is WHY you do it! Why did you say yes when Drew asked you to come work for us? And don't give me that shit about there not really being an option. What made you make the conscious decision to join us?" Esther had to think about that, and when she reached her conclusion she looked a bit sheepish. "I wanted to get back at Drew for leading me on. And I thought it would be an exciting adventure." Liz had to grin at that. She continued her examination by taking blood samples. "Well there's a start. Those are your personal reasons for being here, and you don't have to defend them to anyone but yourself. Now, you might think, those reasons don't apply anymore because reality set in. But why shouldn't they? I'm aware of your situation with Drew. Why don't you make him suffer a bit for what he put you through?" "He was following orders! I can't really blame him for that." "Why the hell not?! He could have done it differently. He didn't have to take you out or kiss you! There were other ways to recruit you. You think about that. And as for the exciting adventure part; It is! Yes, we follow orders, and yes, there are things to our jobs that we don't necessarily like. But that's life. This job is dangerous and only very few people can do it. You are among those few who can. And at the end of the day there is one thing you should remember: you're becoming a spy! How much cooler can you get? Believe me, there will be enough exciting adventure along the way. Before long, you'll be begging for some peace and quiet!" Esther smiled at Liz' encouragement. It made her feel better. And it made her think. Why had Drew asked her out? Looking back, she could come up with several easier ways to recruit her that did not involve hurting her feelings. She remembered their date and how Drew had kissed her. She got goosebumps just thinking about that kiss. If he had taken her home then, she didn't know how far she would have gone last night. And the way he had looked at her when she had stood in the body scanner clad only in bra and panties. In hindsight that look sent shivers down her spine. The more she thought about it, she realized that he had looked at her much the same today at sparring practice. She just hadn't thought about it then, because she had been letting out her anger at him. * * * * * She was heading for the bullpen, to meet Drew at his desk, when her cell phone rang. The caller ID showed Lee, one of her best friends, who had helped her get ready for the date the night before. As she pushed the button to accept the call, she realized she had forgotten to call her this morning. She had promised to call and give a full report on what happened on the date. 'What am I gonna tell her?' "Hey, Lee! Sorry I forgot to call..." Lee didn't let her finish the sentence. "Never mind that. How was your date last night? Please tell me he was still there this morning and that's why you hadn't called!" She was excited. "Uh... well... not quite. Um... he was the reason I didn't call, but he didn't spend the night. The date went great." Esther decided to be as honest as possible and recounted the events of the night before, leaving out being mugged and recruited by the CIA. And up until that point it had been a great date. Esther didn't want Lee to worry about her, and she knew, that if she told her that the date hadn't worked out, Lee would want to come by to comfort her and give advice on how to handle the situation. And she couldn't have that right now. So she decided to let her think that everything went well. "He picked me up this morning and we had breakfast." Well, that was sort of true. Drew had brought coffee and donuts to eat on the way to Fortress. "I just had a meeting for my new assignment. And, well, I think I'll be seeing him again later." She didn't mention that later was in just a couple of minutes. "Wow! You're seeing him again already. Don't you think it's a bit too much?" Lee was a bit concerned. "Don't get me wrong, it's great that you're getting on so well. But you should maybe take it a bit slower." When she heard Esther snort at that she misinterpreted it as displeasure. "I just don't want to see you get hurt again! Listen, I think you deserve a great guy, but I think it's a bit suspicious that this is moving way to fast. You only met the guy two days ago!" "Um... you see... I know... he... I..." Esther was stuttering, desperately searching for a way to make it more plausible, because Lee was right. Then she sighed and decided to give Lee a minor detail she had left out until then. "Lee, what I didn't tell you before is that Drew is actually my new client. I know it's totally unprofessional, why I didn't tell you. So the reason I'm seeing so much of him today is that I'm working with him. Completely professional... well almost." There, that explains everything. "Oh... why didn't you tell me before?" Lee didn't let her answer that. "Aren't you always the one so adamant about not letting your private life get mixed up with business? Now look who's talking?" she teased. "Oh, stop it, will you! I know what I said. But I decided to take a chance, and we'll just have to see how it works out." Esther answered. "Alright, alright. I'm just happy for you. I hope it does work out. I need to go now, keep me posted on the Drew front! Bye." Lee hung up without waiting for a reply. That was so like her, a whirlwind with good intentions. Esther smiled as she put her phone back in her pocket. The Drew front was going to become quite interesting! As she thought about it, she came to several conclusions: for one, it had been unnecessary for Drew recruit her the way he had, he had to have some ulterior motive; second, the emotion he had put into their kiss was real, or he was one hell of an actor; and third, she was going to take Liz' advice and make him suffer a bit. She was pretty sure, that Drew was attracted to her. She wasn't conceited, but she knew that with her exotic looks and curvy body she was attractive enough. She hoped she wasn't wrong about it, else she would be making a fool of herself. She was going to flirt with and tease Drew and see how far she could push him and then drop him cold. She smiled to herself and decided to put her plan right into action. * * * * * Drew and Esther were standing in the shooting range. He had introduced her to a number of handguns and explained which were the most used and showed her how to take them apart and clean them. He gave her the basic gun safety instructions and then handed her .45 Glock and a pair of safety goggles. Throughout his instructions he was a bit distracted. Esther hadn't buttoned her blouse up all the way after returning from her physical, leaving him with a great view of her cleavage. She must not be aware how great, because she kept unconsciously pushing out her chest and bending over the table giving him an even greater view. "OK, Esther. I should have asked before, but have you ever fired a gun?" Drew asked warily. "No, but my dad had taught me the basics. He never let me fire one though." "Well, then let's see how you do." Esther stepped into the box and laid down the gun and the clip he handed her. She put on the goggles and loaded the gun. She decided to act a bit more awkward than she actually was and get him to help her. She held the weapon in her right and fired, not really aiming, closing her eyes to brace for the impact. "Ow! I thought others were supposed to be hurt by this!" "You're holding it wrong! And your stance is off. Don't close your eyes! I thought you knew the basics!" "Well I never practiced them! Why don't you show me?" Esther turned back towards the range and waited until he stepped up behind her. Drew put his arms around her and told her where to set her feet and to support her shooting arm with the other. She relaxed into his hold and leaned slightly against him. He could feel her head to toe and had to close his eyes to keep his composure. What was she doing? She spoke to him as if she was indifferent, but her body language was oozing sensuality. Did she even notice? To keep in control he stepped away from her and cleared his throat. He didn't notice the slight smile that was playing about her lips. To break the tension she shot, again not really aiming, missing her mark. "Your aim is off. Hold the gun higher and direct your aim across the barrel." Drew was trying not to show his exasperation. She was so good at everything else; he had somehow expected her to be a good shot too. When she gave him a confused look he sighed and stepped behind her again. He lifted right arm a little higher and explained again how to aim. His face was close to hers, to make sure her aim was right. He could smell her shampoo and her own unique scent. It was a mix of lavender and mint and something uniquely Esther. As he breathed in her heady scent he felt the urge to lick her neck, find out what she tastes like. Just as his head was drifting down Esther fired another round. He jumped back, shaken out of his trance. "Bull's-eye!! I hit dead center!" Esther put down the gun and performed a little victory dance. As Drew watched he berated himself for getting distracted again. He should have let Walker do the gun training; he was the weapons guy after all. He shook himself mentally and took a deep breath. "Don't get ahead of yourself. You hit the target once. Now let's see you repeat it." Esther had a mischievous glint in her eyes as she turned back to the range and picked up the gun. She rapidly emptied the clip into the target, all rounds hitting the head or the body close to the center. Drew gaped at her as she pulled the target sheet off its hangers. Then he composed himself, and narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "I thought you never fired a gun before!" he accused. "I haven't... well not a real gun. But you're looking at the BB gun shooting champion of the Wichita County Fair. I thought that would be in that neat little file of yours." She answered sassily. Without paying further attention to him she removed the clip and checked the chamber. She then moved back to the table where the other guns were laid out and preceded in taking the gun apart and cleaning it, just like he had shown her. Drew was stumped. What had just happened here? She had played him, he realized. She must have noticed what kind of affect she was having on him and ruthlessly took advantage of that. She was messing with his head and had done that even before she realized it. God, what was he going to do now? Esther was silently celebrating her triumph. She had seen how distracted he had been when she had sat across from him with her collar wide open, while he was trying to teach her Fire Arms 101. And she had been even more satisfied with his reaction when he had to show her how to shoot and aim. 'Gotcha' She thought. 'Let's see how long we can keep this up.' She did her best to ignore the fact that she had enjoyed feeling his arms around her. * * * * * Trying his best to avoid her, Drew had asked Liz to give Esther a ride home. "What did you do to the poor guy? He looked about ready to run! I've never seen Drew act this way, ever!" Liz was quite amused by Drew's actions. "I did what you suggested. I made him a little uncomfortable. It's easier than I thought to get him a little riled up." Esther giggled. She wasn't sure how long she would be able to play this game, however. She was pretty sure, by the look that he had given her as they left the shooting range, that he had caught on to what she was doing. "Just be careful," Liz warned. "Drew is a fully trained spy. You've rattled his case, so don't be surprised if it comes back to haunt you." Esther didn't let that dampen her mood. It felt too good to exact a little revenge. She usually didn't hold grudges, but something about Drew's deception had hit her hard. Something that she wasn't quite willing to examine yet. Liz dropped Esther off. As she entered her apartment she felt exhaustion overcome her. It had been a long day. And she knew, an even longer weekend lay ahead of her. Instead of going to Tae-Kwon-Do practice on Saturday morning and relaxing to rest of the weekend she would spend the next two days at Fortress going over profiles of terrorists, studying up on terminology in all languages she spoke, and training to be ready for her mission. For some reason she was actually looking forward to it. At some point she had come to terms with everything: her mission to China, her new job in general, and even Drew. A little voice in the back of her mind, which she was desperately trying to ignore, whispered that she hadn't only come to terms with Drew; she was playing with fire by teasing him and she was anticipating the outcome. It wasn't very late yet, but Esther decided to call it a night anyways and headed for her bedroom. Without turning on the light she walked across room into the ensuite bathroom. She turned on the light in there and took off her clothes getting ready for bed. After washing up she put on a white tank top and panties and returned to her bedroom. As she flicked on the light she noticed a movement in the corner of her eye. Totally taken by surprise she faced her intruder. In the corner of the room, sitting comfortably in a stuffed armchair was Drew. ***** After sending Esther home Drew paced between the desks of the bullpen. What was going on with him? He had never been in such an emotional and physical uproar over a woman. And she somehow knew how she affected him. How was he supposed to work with her, when he couldn't get his mind off of her? This wasn't good. Maybe he should aboard the mission. But he knew he couldn't, not so close to engagement. And he couldn't find somebody to replace her either. She already knew too much, plus it had taken him months to find her. Somebody with her skills and expertise, and her background. It would again take months to find and develop another asset. And he was pretty sure he didn't want to lose her this soon either. He had to get her out of his system! "What's up, buddy?" Walker pulled him out of his thoughts. "You seem to be out of it somehow? What's wrong?" Drew looked up and scratched his head thoughtfully. "I'm just contemplating if Esther was the right choice for this job." "Are you kidding me? I've seen files you went through to find her, you couldn't have chosen better. And I heard she held her own pretty well in training today. She wasn't too happy after the briefing today, but most assets react that way when reality sinks in. I think she handled it well, and she had a talk with Liz after which probably helped." "It's not that... I just don't know if we make a good team..." "You seemed to make a pretty good team last night." Walker pointed out with a grin. "What's that supposed to mean. I was doing my job!" "When was the last time you went out on a romantic date to develop an asset?" Walker answered suppressing a grin. "I mean, I wouldn't have minded to take your place, she's hot! Maybe I should ask her out sometime." Walker was fishing for a reaction and Drew would be damned if he rose for the bait. "You do that." With that he left. But Walker's words had made him think. His initial instinct had been to punch Walker for his suggestion. He needed to concentrate on his job, on the mission. And for that he needed to get Esther out of his head. And he knew only one way how he could do that. ***** What the hell was he doing here? How did he get in? How long had he been sitting there... with a plain view through her open bathroom door to boot? Oh God, had he seen her naked? With so many questions running through her head Esther was still too stunned to voice single one of them. Slowly, with a seductive smile on his lips, Drew got up from the chair and approached her. That seemed to shake her out of her reverie. "Drew, what..." more didn't come out as he cut her off by lowering his head and pressing his lips to hers. She couldn't move. As he settled his hands on her hips to pull her closer she started to struggle. She tried to push against his chest and pull out of his hold, but Drew ignored it and just pressed her closer to him. He ran his tongue across her lips, and when she didn't open he nibbled at her lower lip. She moaned at that and Drew used the moment to thrust his tongue into her mouth, intensifying the kiss. Her mind turned to mush at the passion of his kiss. She somehow found herself wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him back. She couldn't get close enough to him and pressed herself against him at her own accord. He knew she could feel his arousal pressing into her belly. He needed to feel her skin and couldn't suppress the urge to taste her. He nibbled down her jaw and sucked her earlobe into his mouth. At the same time his hands pushed under her top and slowly stroked up her back, down her sides and up again across her belly. Esther groaned as his lips found the sensitive spot behind her ear and sucked and licked there. His hands felt wonderful on her body. She buried one of her own in his hair, the other stroked down his back. She could feel his muscles bunch under his t-shirt. His hands traveled back up her front and his fingers ran across the underside of her breasts pushing up her top. God, her breasts were amazing. He wanted to touch them, taste them, feel their fullness. Drew nibbled his way across her collarbone as he carefully wrapped one arm around her body and gently cupped one perfect mound in the other hand, tweaking the nipple to make her moan. Suddenly, the last few working brain cells she had left kicked in and Esther started to struggle again, fighting her way out of the haze of passion that clouded her mind. What was she doing? Was she so gullible? He just had to show up, kiss her and she would melt into his arms? Lost In Translation Ch. 04 "Drew, stop!" Esther caught him off guard as she roughly pushed him away and stumbled backwards. He checked himself and heatedly looked into her eyes. He saw the determination putting the defenses back up which he had overwhelmed in surprising her. "What the hell do you think you're doing? What gave you the right to...to just... Fuck! Just get the fuck out of here!" Now that she had overcome her initial shock she was angry. She considered herself a very patient person. It took a lot to raise her temper. Even the way he had recruited her hadn't made her this livid. He saw her eyes darken, turning almost black, and realized he had completely stepped out of bounds. He could feel her anger rolling of her. He had been so hell bent on getting her out of his system, he hadn't considered the consequences. The graveness of his actions suddenly came crashing down on him. He hadn't considered her reaction and the effect it might have their working relationship. He was never this careless. He could have just compromised their mission. She was right, what the fuck was wrong with him? Throughout the entire ordeal he hadn't uttered a single word. He didn't know what to say. So he decided to leave it at that. Maybe tomorrow, he could find a way out of this mess he had created. As he turned to leave he gave her one last look, taking in her rumbled clothes and hair and her anger darkened eyes. She looked beautiful. Where that thought had come from he didn't know, but it added only to his agitation. "Hey, don't just walk away! Talk to me, you coward!" Esther yelled after him. She couldn't believe it. He was so in for it tomorrow. She would let hell rain down on him.
