She knew it was harmless especially since she didn't have to worry about going back home with him, but it was just the fact that it was being that close to him. She knew how her body always responded to him, it was as if she felt herself on the edge and it took everything in her to reign in her control. It was exhausting, but she did this to prove something to herself. As the day got closer and closer, she became more nervous about the date. Patrick knew how to surprise her and make every moment feel special. It was like that one year for her birthday when she actually realized just how much money he really had. He had taken her to the circus that was in town and too her backstage before it started to see the clowns and some of the animals. He knew her favorite animal was the elephant. He arranged for her to actually ride the elephants with her sisters. That's the thing with Patrick; he never tried the whole wine and dine type of dates. They were always special because it was things that he thought about and knew she would like. Most of the memorable moments were them being a normal couple. She wasn't sure what to wear tonight. She texted him numerous times on what she should wear and he just said just be herself, whatever that meant. "I hate when he's all cryptic like this." She said to herself and looked at her endless array of clothes as her phone rung again. "Hello." "Hey girlie, how's it going?" "Stressful Tara; I'm trying to figure out what to wear tonight." "Oh the famous date? Well he will probably take you out to a restaurant." "This is Patrick we're talking about here. Nothing with him is normal." "You're right about that. Did you ask him what to wear?" "I did and he said just be myself." "Hmm, that might mean dress how you would normally dress. Wear some jeans." "That's what it looks like I'm going to do. So, what's going on?" "I called to tell you that I need to find a good lawyer. Ron is being an ass as usual with child support so I need some help. You know I've tried so hard to be patient with him." "Well, I told you a long time ago, he's taking that as weakness, you need to show him you mean business." "That's exactly why I need a lawyer." "Well, I don't know any lawyers into family court but I do know someone that may help. I'll see what he can do or if he can recommend someone." "Thanks, so how you feel about this date?" "I'm okay maybe a bit nervous. I hate not knowing what's going on." "You use to say you loved that about him." "You know times change; besides that was fresh into our relationship." "I though you forgave him." "I do, but I'm starting to like being around him. I asked my sister's friend who use to be a therapist, I asked my sisters, my mom..." "Gale, stop, what do you say?" "Huh?" "What do you think? Gale, this is between you and Patrick. Stop bringing other people into it. Just do what you feel. If you don't feel like doing anything with him then don't. Stop thinking about it." "You know that's not normal for me, but I hear you. I will try to do that, but one question, do you think I'm forgiving him too soon." "You are supposed to forgive someone on your terms. I know that you went through a hard time after he left, but this is a chance for a fresh start that the both of you deserve whether it's together or not. Only you can really answer that question, but clear your mind and have fun tonight." "Alright, see you later." Gail hung up and finally decided on her favorite jeans and red cardigan. She wanted to be as natural a she could since it wasn't a real date. Just as she grabbed her phone, she saw another test from him an address. "Here we go." Gale said to herself. The drive was quiet with only smooth jazz filling the car with brief interruptions of her GPS. She was going to take Tara's advice and not think about it; just have fun, with an old friend. She was trying to remain calm but the further out she went, she began to get nervous. There was nothing but trees and open road surrounding her. She saw up ahead a little lighted spot. Great, she can stop and call Patrick. She was about to call him when the phone rung. Speak of the devil, it was him. "Hey Patrick." She said instantly. "Hey, where are you?" he said ad she heard his voice etched in uncertainty. "I'm in the middle of a scene from a horror movie. Where are you?" "I'm waiting for you. I thought you had GPS and for your information, people hardly die in the day time in horror movies." "So I'm supposed to go out in this woods and fields?" "What's around you?" he sighed and she knew he was rubbing his forehead. "Trees, trees, and yea, more trees." "Seriously Gale." "Well, I stopped by this light pole. There's a sign that says, Camp Shell one and a half miles away." "So, you go one and half miles down and you will be here." "Really? Patrick, you aren't plotting to dispose of my body?" He laughed lightly, "Nothing like that, just come on." Gale sighed and got back on the road, "Do you want me to meet you and catch up with you?" "No, I'm fine. I was just wondering what you are planning?" "It's a surprise. If you would have ridden with me then you wouldn't have to worry about driving alone." "If you would have thought of something normal instead of whatever you are planning I wouldn't be walking into Friday the 13th." "I've been here for awhile now and I haven't seen any man in a hockey mask; although, I do want to watch a hockey game lately." "Very funny. I'm hanging up now." She said and hung up. She shook her head, turning up the music. The sound of Boyz II Men tried to calm her racing pulse as she got closer to the camp site. Just hearing that song I'll make love to you overflowed her mind with memories of the two of them making love to this song the first time he snuck into her dorm room. He would whisper into her ear how good she felt as he slid inside her slowly. How her nails dug into his back when she felt him go deeper. Damn, why did she have to go stroll down memory lane? She nearly missed her turn thinking about him. She turned toward the lighted way, following the rows of tiki lights. Her curiosity heightened as she parked next to his car and saw Jade's truck next to him. She was about to open the door but it already swung open. Her eyes immediately fell on his bright smile. "I was worried about you a little." He said. "Yea, well, what the hell are you doing and why is my brother here." She said immediately noticing his truck. "Well, I invited your sister and him too." Was he really trying to romance her with her sister and brother around? "Did you say you invited Jade and James?" "I thought we can't be at our old camp I would bring our own camp to us." Her eyes widen in disbelief, "Are you serious?" "Yea, a whole day of camping fun." The way his eyes lit up reminder her of the same teenage boy she met years ago. It warmed her body and heart in more than a sexual way. Just the fact that he thought of this made her heart skip a beat, he proved once again that he can think outside the box. "And my sister?" "I invited them so you will feel comfortable with them around." She nodded, "Alright, let's go camping." She was never more excited that she did go for comfort and opted for her flats. They walked over toward the center. James was just dropping some wood when his head popped up. "Hey sister, it's nice of you to join us." James smiled and she went up to hug him. "How did he convince you to come along?" she whispered to him. "What are you talking about? I'm a rugged mountain man." "Okay then how did you convince my sister is the better question?" He chuckled, "When he told her what this was for, she jumped at the opportunity and just know that you and her will be going shopping with my money soon." As if on cue, Jade stepped out of one of the cabins. James stepped aside so they could talk. "No wonder you didn't answer the phone." Gale said. "Hey, I had to keep it a secret. Isn't this great?" she beamed. "I can't believe he is doing this." "Yep, back to roughing it days which was something you like back in the day. I just wanted to get away and go swimming." "Oh yea, I remember. Well that was then so I'm wondering just what he has on his mind this time." "He didn't say anything about what we were doing?" "Well, I know we are supposed to go play archery soon." Gale sighed getting, "He knows I suck at archery." "Well maybe you can get better." "I always sucked at it but whatever, I'm glad I didn't think of wearing anything fancy. I guess I'm ready for this." "You have no choice." Jade smiled as Patrick and James came around. Patrick looked over at her and smiled. Gale couldn't help but look off trying not to blush; at least he couldn't see it. "Alright, how about we start with some archery?" he said rubbing his hands together and Gale looked over at Jade. "Are we going to have arts and crafts as well?" Gale said sarcastically and he just looked at her. "Anyway, I know we can start with that one." "Yea and afterwards, we'll go fishing while you ladies cook." James said pulling Jade closer. "How very chauvinistic of you honey?" Jade said rolling her eyes as James gave her a kiss on her forehead. "Hey, you're the cook honey." "You never get tired of reminding me either." She smiled and he just shrugged. "At least you know your man loves your cooking." "Is that the reason you marry me?" "One of many reason." He said leering at her. "Okay couple, stop being all cute and couple like." Gale said shaking her head, "Let's get going." Everyone followed Patrick to the make shift range. Patrick was always a natural with a bow and arrow. Back at camp all the kids wanted him to teach them. Gale was just lucky if the arrow left her hand. Patrick grabbed his bow and saw Gale struggling. "Here, let me help." He said walking over to her. "I can do it myself." "No you can't. You couldn't when we were teenagers, now let me help." He said standing behind her. Gale rolled her eyes as he stepped closer behind her. She took a deep breath as she felt the closeness. His scent swam in her head almost lulling her. He put his hand on top of hers. "Now, just line it up and keep your eyes on the target." He said into her ear and the soft whisper caused shivers travel down her body. She swallowed hard trying to ignore the pulsing need in her body with him being so close to her. She pulled the arrow back, keeping her eye on the target and still trying to keep her mind off him so close. "Now hold it and let out the breath that you are holding." "How you know I was...never mind." She took a big exhale. It did help relax a little, "Now let it go." She let it slipped from her fingers and watched as it sprang forward and launched into the target. She actually hit the target. It wasn't a bull's eye, but she was just happy that it went far. She jumped up and squealed. "I hit it!" Gale smiled and Patrick just shook his head. "I told you, keep practicing and you could hit the bull's eye in no time." "Yea right, I'm looking to get into archery." "Well, it will be good for teaching to aim like a gun or something." "Okay, when am I going to shoot a gun?" "I'm just saying Gale." She smiled. "Well, thank you." She said hugging him, "I'm just happy that I finally did it." "Good, well come on let's try it again and do it without me." "Seriously? Okay I will." She grabbed another arrow and loaded it on. "Remember what I said, pull back, focus, and breath." "Alright." Gale took a deep breath and pulled back. She focused on the target again and let her breath out. She let go and watched as it flew down to the target. It hit the white and she still smiled. She couldn't believe that she actually hit it more than once. "Look at you!" Jade said and Gale just smiled. "I know right." "See what happens when you listen?" "Oh ha ha." Gale added sarcastically. The rest of the day went by in blur. The guys went fishing while Gale and Jade went hiking. Jade and Gale cooked up the fish and other stuff while the guys went to grab a little more firewood. Gale had to admit, this was a pretty fun date. She got the chance to spend some time with Patrick and her sister. After they ate, Patrick and Gale sat watching the sun go down. It was so beautiful, she thought as the light cast over the lake. "Man, that's beautiful." Gale said. He looked over at her and saw how the light reflected in her eyes, "You sure are." She looked over at him and shook her head, "Always the charmer." "That's me being honest." He sighed, "Let's go for a walk." "What about Jade and James?" He looked back and saw the married couple making out by the fire, "I think they are preoccupied." She turned around and saw that the two were in fact sucking face. Gale shook her head, "I suppose we can." She sighed. He grabbed her hand and she followed after him. She clutched his hand as they walked through the wooded area. This made her think back to the days when they went camping together and they would sneak off when they put all the campers to bed. Back in camp, they would walk, talk, and make out a lot. Back then he had a way of kissing her and making the word disappear. "What are you thinking?" he asked. "Just different stuff; it's been so long since I actually went camping like this." "Are you enjoying it?" "I actually am. I've been so busy with work and everything that I haven't even able to just let go and have fun. Remember when we found that huge tree outside of the camping grounds and you carved out names in it." "Yea and I remember that you called it corny, but you loved it." She laughed. "Well, it was a little corny, but the thought was sweet. What made you think of this type of date?" "I guess it was a little bit of what you just said. We've been so busy working, that haven't had time to really just relax and let go. Honestly, this was one of the best times to just go out and have fun for me as a kid." "You know, you never told me a lot about your child hood. You told me bits and pieces but not too much detail." He sighed as she felt the grip of his hand loosen and tension in them. She held on to his hand tighter and rubbed his arm. He cleared his throat. "Um, you know most of it. I was an only child to my mom and dad. My dad was wealthy." "Yea, you told me all those general details, but what about memories? You talk about memories of me and my family but never of yours." "I don't have many memories. Most of my life didn't start until I met you." She scoffed, shaking her head. "You don't have to give me a line Patrick." "It's not a line. I truly mean that. Most of the time I was in Ireland, I was going to boarding schools. I never had a chance to really spend time with my dad. My mom was always doing some sort of social event or planning something for charity. I was around for decoration, at least that's how I felt. My mom tried her best to make me feel a part of everything, but it didn't feel right. I know you are probably thinking poor little rich boy syndrome, huh?" Gale smiled and shook her head, "I don't think so at all. Well, maybe a little, but it's easy for me to say that because I had my sisters with me and some of my best memories are us being together. I mean everyone wants to think that money will fix everything." "Something I learned the hard way." He said looking at her and Gale just looked off, "Gale, I know I say it a lot but I am truly sorry. I thought that I was doing the right thing and trying to save you. My dad would have ruined us before we even got started and I couldn't just let your dreams get crush like that." "I understand that you thought you was doing the right thing, I just wish you would have told me everything and let me make that decision of my life being ruined, as you say. I should have also told you about the baby, but I didn't want the label that you stayed with me because of the baby, but it's in the past. Think about how much we have accomplished, things happened for a reason." "You're right. I missed that sweet understanding side of you." He said pulling her closer to him. Gale bit down on her bottom lip and looked into his emerald eyes. She wanted to feel his lips against hers, but she was a little uncertain of where this was going to lead to. She felt like she was 17 again hanging out and slowly falling for the mysterious guy at camp. She wanted to do something crazy and recapture that moment. She looked off slightly and saw the lake. He leaned closer and before he could kiss her, she broke away and ran over to the lake. Patrick's eyebrows drew together and followed her. She was laughing the entire time as he chased after her. She took off her blouse revealing her tank top, kicked off her shoes, and dove into the lake. Patrick couldn't believe his eyes. Gale just dove into the lake, which was something she would have done when they were younger, but didn't think she would have taken that risk. "Are you going to stand there and let me have all the fun?" she said as her head surfaced out of the water. He couldn't do anything but smile, kick off his shoes, take off his top shirt, and make a run for the lake. He dive head first, feeling that invigorating splash of water hitting his face. He surfaced up, shaking his head. He heard Gale laughing as he finally was able to see. "Oh my God, you are insane." He said. "Well you must be too. You followed me." She laughed, splashing him in the face. "Oh now, you are going to get it." He said as he started splashing her in return. She screamed as they both splashed around like a couple of kids. It was almost as fun as when they had the water gun fight back at the bed and breakfast. He swam closer to her as she finally stopped splashing him, since she was laughing so hard. "I can't believe we..." she didn't get a chance to finish as her eyes focused on him. She bit down on her lip as she watched his eyes darken and set on her as if she was a prey. She loved when he looked at her like that, like she was the most gorgeous thing. She just smiled as he swam closer and like it was instinct, she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Hi." He simply said. "Hi." She responded back and then felt his lips pressed against hers. She tightens her hold around his neck as he deepened the kiss, pushing his tongue into her mouth. Her body molded to his as she felt the small waves rocking them as his tongue moved smoothly inside her mouth, caressing hers. He pulled away planting light kisses on her lips. "I think we should get out of her before we get carried away by the waves." He whispered and she just nodded. He helped her out of the lake and she couldn't help smiling the entire time. She wringed the extra water from her shirt. She looked over at Patrick and saw him staring at her. "Well, I guess we better head back and get out of these..." she didn't get a chance to finish her sentence a she pulled her over to him for another kiss. Gale couldn't help but sigh and relax into the kiss, doing exactly what her friend told her to do and that's just feeling and not thinking. Right now, she was thinking that she wanted Patrick. This wasn't just a decision that she was making with her body but a little of her heart. In the back of her mind, she maybe making a mistake but she didn't have time to over think it. "You're right, maybe we do need to get out of these wet clothes." He said in between kisses. "Yea, where do I go to shower?" You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 01 Gale waited looking around her dream house. She couldn't believe that all they had to do was sign the paperwork and this was there and then they could really start their life together. She wanted him to meet her here just to get one look at their future. Her mother already told her how proud she was of her that she was getting ready to graduate college, try to open her own business, and marry the man that she loved more than breathing. He proposed to her a week ago when he showed her the house. She didn't think that they could afford it but apparently with his family they would be able to afford the house and with his job that he was going to get soon. She turned around when she saw the familiar green Lexus pulling up. She smiled when she saw him slowly get out the car. She doesn't know what it was about him, but she always thought that he moved in slow motion. He was so hot to her; sometimes she would ask herself how she got someone like him to fall in love with her. It didn't matter though because now everything will start for them. She was about to rush to him but something stopped her. He didn't have the smile he always seemed to have when he saw her. His face read blank, something must be bothering him. He did say that he had to see his parents. They came into town two weeks ago and she met them a couple of days ago. His mother seemed really nice but his dad was unreadable. He didn't really acknowledge her. She didn't know what to think about what moment, but Patrick said that it was something that could be fixed. He had his hands stuffed into his pocket and he glanced at everywhere but her, "Hey baby." She said trying to snap him out of his stupor. "Hey." He simply said. "Well, I talked to the realtor and she said that everything is set for us to sign the paperwork and bring her the down payment. She said that our appointment is going to be around 2. I took tomorrow off from work baby, were you able to get off of work?" he paused still not able to look at her, "Rick, is something wrong?" "I can't." he whispered in his thick Irish accent. "What? What's wrong?" "I can't do this. I can't marry you." He said. Gale never thought her heart could leap into her throat as fast as it did at that moment. She must have heard him wrong, she had too. "What did you say?" she said. He took a deep breath, "I can't do this anymore." "Well, if you can't get the house, it's okay. We can get an apartment, but I thought you had everything under control." "No, I mean all of this: the house, the marriage. I don't want this anymore." Gale's whole body cringed and she almost fell over in pain. He couldn't be saying this, "Rick, we were going to get this house together. You just asked me to marry you. Hell, you told me this morning how much you loved me." "Look this went on long enough and I can't keep pretending. You are a very pretty women Gale, but I can't be with you." "Why? Why after everything that we have gone through together in the past two years?" she didn't even feel the tears that streamed down her face. "It was fun Gale. I admit, I always wanted to bang a black girl, but let's be honest. You're not good for me." She wanted to say something but she let him continue, "Gale I come from one of the richest families around and you can't handle that lifestyle. You think I will be content staying in some little house trying to play house with you." "I don't understand Patrick. You said you love me. Please baby, whatever I did I'm sorry but we can fix this." She said nearly throwing herself on him. Patrick swallowed hard trying not to let her words get to him, this was hard enough already. He wanted to comfort her and tell her everything that was going on but he decided against it. He needed to end this. "This is something you can't fix. We are from two different backgrounds and you are not good enough for me. I'm just sorry that I did let this go on for so long." Gale felt like she just shattered like glass hitting the floor and pieces of her went everywhere, "You will find someone that will be right for you. I'm sorry." With that he turned around slowly heading to the car. She could barely breathe and felt little pieces of her dying. This can't be happening. This was all a horrible dream. She was going to wake up any moment with Patrick holding on to her. She looked up and saw him still heading to the car. "Rick." She softly cried, "Rick!" she said again but he didn't flinch as he kept his pace to the car, "Patrick!" she called loudly not caring if the neighbors heard her. He didn't look back once as he got in his car, confirming her heart break, "Patrick, please." She cried. The next sound she heard was the car turning over and him pulling away from her life forever. She felt the numbness slowly creep up her body as she watched his tail lights disappear into the night leaving her alone. No new life, no dream house, and more importantly, no Patrick. Her body felt ice cold as the numbness rose up her legs to her stomach. "What about our family?" she whispered as she finally sank to the ground, bawling. "You need to get laid." Tara said as Gale tried her best to maneuver through traffic. "Gee, thanks a lot best friend." "What kind of friend would I be if I didn't tell you the truth?" Gale could feel Tara smiling through the phone. "The kind of friend that shouldn't remind me how much I need to get laid?" "Yea I love you too, anyway, are you going to that job?" "Well, Jade said that she recommended me to the guy and it could definitely be something that gets me known since the job is so big." Gail smiled. "Imagine! You get to decorate a whole hotel. That does sound like a good paying job, especially since you are moving to get closer to your sisters." Gale nodded thinking about the big change that has gone on. She finally admitted to herself about the sham of a marriage she was in and finally let him go. She couldn't stand to be the person she was back then; it almost cost her Jade. She still felt a twinge of shame every time she thinks about how she easily let Dante manipulate her. She can finally admit that James is the perfect man for her. He has treated Jade with nothing but respect and he love Nicole. Speaking of Nicole, she was doing great in school, running track and working. She even noticed her buying some clothes that fit, more than likely the work of her roommate Eva. Sometimes it hurts to think that her little sisters don't need her anymore, but she needed to get her own life in order. It's hard being a 34 year old divorce woman trying to move and keep her business running. Especially when it comes to those lonely nights when she longed for someone to be next to her. It's been so long since she has been loved so well and through, even before her husband. She hasn't experience deep passionate love making since... "Hey," she was broken out of her thoughts, "I'm going to fly in Wednesday, can you come get me?" "Of course, Jade has been asking me when you were going to get here." "I know; I haven't seen her since the wedding. I know Jessica and I are excited about moving. I swear your sister is trying to get us there." "You know how she feels about family being around, that's why mom is just a couple of feet away. I'm about to pull up Tara, so I will call you and tell you how it went." "Hey, if the guy is younger and hot, this may be your opportunity." "Oh please, more than likely this is old money that just wants something to invest in. I'll call you later." Gale said hanging up the phone pulling up to the building. Her mouth dropped as she gazed at the building. She couldn't believe that this job is hers, especially when she saw so much potential in the place. She loved the scenery in front of the water on the beach. She see that the picture that Jade showed her didn't do her justice. It was really beautiful. She always dreamed in just vacationing in a place like this to get away from everything. She shivered in excitement thinking of the fun she was going to have in this place. She wondered if her client was already here. Jade recommended her to the guy and she was grateful for that. She didn't know but there was another feeling that surged through her. It felt like almost a warning. Gale always had feelings like these when she wasn't completely sure of a situation. Where was it coming from though? She shook it off taking one fleeting glance in her compact mirror. No, just nerves. It wasn't like this was her first time; is she can do the Kardashian's house, she can do anything. She smoothed her hand over her knee length black skirt as she stepped inside. She was immediately greeted by a beautiful woman with magnetic hazel eyes. She had her hair in a tight bun and dark blue pants suit that was tailored to her. "Miss Young, it's nice to see you made it here safely." "Thank Miss Hernandez and you can call me Gale." She said taking the man's outstretched hand. "Well then call me Mara. I'm glad that you were able to find the place." she said leering at Gale still holding on to her hand, "I'm sorry just the resemblance between you and Jade is remarkable." Yea, she has been getting that a lot since she decided to grow her hair out and go natural. She tucked a strand of her shoulder length curly black hair behind her ear. "Yep, I know she is lucky to look like me." She smiled and the younger girl chuckled. "She told me you would say something like that; please let me show you around. My boss isn't in yet." She nodded as she proceeded to give her a tour of the wonderful place. She had to admit that her brother did a wonderful job in fixing up the place. She already had a couple of ideas but she wanted to wait till the owner gets her and ok it with him. "So, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad tell me that you are really good at what you do. I even checked on some of your pervious clients and they all highly recommended you. We were worried for a moment that we wouldn't be able to get you." "Well, a job like this doesn't come too often so I was ready to jump on it. Tell me a little about your boss, do you know what type of style he wants for the place." "He wants a place where people can relax and get away. He pictures for it to be real intimate and look similar to home." "Home?" Gale asked as they walked back downstairs. "He's from Ireland and he wants a piece of it to be brought here and thinks this is the perfect setting for it." Gale swallowed at the mention of Ireland. Must be thousands of people in Ireland, but she couldn't help the resentment she felt hearing the name. She had to get over this; there was no feeling that just hearing about his country should affect her so. "Are you alright Gale?" Mara asked seeing the far off glance. "I'm good. I'm pretty sure I can take a look at some places to get an idea and get the budget." Mara looked at her with uncertainty and glanced out the window, "Oh well you may not have to wait long for the boss. Looks like he is here." She smiled Gale took a hard gulp as Mara went to the door to greet him. There was that uneasy feeling again, what was going on wither stomach? She had to make a mental note to stop by the store before going home. ' "Gale, I would like for you to meet my boss," Gale turned around and her whole body instantly went cold staring into those hypnotizing green eyes, "Mr. Patrick Adlam." It was at that moment, Gale forgot to breath and her heart felt as if something was clutching it in their hand. "How are you doing, Gale? It's nice to see you again." That was the last thing she heard before everything went black. Patrick hurried to her to catch her before hitting the floor, "I thought you were just kidding when you say you have that effect on women." Mara said and he glanced over at her. He didn't expect that at first himself. He picked her up and sat her down on the nearest chair. He saw that she was beginning to stir and prepared for the backlash. He knew her enough to know what could be coming next. Gale's eyes flickered open and the first face she saw was his, those intense green eyes staring at her with concern, fake concern. She couldn't forget the coldness that was once in his eyes and she began to see red. All those years, everything that he has done to her, it all came back to her and she was ready to unleash years of heartache on the person right in front of her. "Don't you fucking touch me." She said pushing him away, stunning Patrick. When did she get so strong, he wondered to himself? He was expecting the rage just not that. "Gale, you fainted and I wanted to make sure you were okay." "You wanted to make sure I was okay? Why would give a rat's ass about me after everything that happened between us Patrick? I don't want you touching me or helping me. I don't even want you near me." "Well, that's going to be kind of hard Abby since you are going to be working with me." "Who said that I have to?" and with that she pushed herself off the chair and headed out of that place. Patrick was smooth on her heels trying to keep up with her, "Gale, you came highly recommended and you know that I want the best." "I don't care find yourself someone to do your work." She said throwing her purse and portfolio in her car before she climbed in. "Gale please." "No Mr. Adlam, I don't need your job. I'm not good enough for you so find someone else." She ended on the same last parting words he told her years ago. Patrick jumped back from the car as soon as she revved the car up and watched her speed off. He raked his hands through his jet black hair, kicking himself for trying to push this meeting. No matter when or how he decided to meet her again, this was still going to be the end result. "That went well." He rolled his eyes at the annoying tone of his assistant Mara. He straighten his tie turned back to her who had this smug look on her face, "Don't worry, I'll get her." He said finally believing his own words. Gale tried to calm her beating heart as her brain processed what just happened. Patrick! She couldn't believe after all this time she saw him. He was right there in front of her, staring at her as if she was a piece of meat he was ready to devour. No, he lost that chance a long time ago to look at her like that. She should have laid his ass out. She growled out her frustration as she turned into K&J. Oh she was going to have a long talk with her sister. She nearly jumped out the car before stopping it full. She moved past everyone and burst through the door. Jade was the first person that head popped up toward the door. "Sister, can I see you for a moment?" Gale said through gritted teeth. "Oh shit." Jade whispered jumping from her seat and walked quickly to the back. Gale was right on her tail and before Jade could shut the door, Gale stuck her hand out, "Hey sis, how is it going? How did the job go?" "You knew." "Knew what?" Jade said still trying to play dumb. She was horrible at it as far as Gale was concerned, "You know what I'm talking about: Patrick." "Oh, you saw him?" Gale narrowed her eyes and Jade just exhaled, "Alright fine. Yes I knew Patrick was here and that he wanted you to have the job." "How could you do that with everything you know that happened?" "Actually I don't know what happened between you guys, you never told me anything. All I know is that he wanted to have someone that could really decorate the hotel the way he wanted it and I thought it would be a perfect job for you. Maybe if you told me what happened then I can understand the anger." Gale scrunched her face staring at Jade, "He didn't tell you anything?" "He told me he made a stupid mistake and that he wanted to ask for your forgiveness." She chuckled lightly, "I'm not going to give it to him. I'm not going to give him the satisfaction that everything is all rosy posy and that we can work together and the years of hurt that I went through can just vanish." "Gale, you have to forgive him and I'm not saying it for him, but for you. I hate to bring this back up but you sided with my ex-boyfriend to plot breaking up me and James. That hurt and I forgave you." Gale stance sunk a little as she looked into her younger sister's big doe eyes, "I think you need to take the job, you need a big job that's going to get a lot of publicity. This is it." "I don't know if I can work with him or be near him again." She said showing Jade a hint of vulnerability. "You can do it. You told me everything that you are doing is about letting go and finding your way back to you. You already divorced that lousy husband of yours, Patrick is just another obstacle." Gale took deep inhales thinking about what her sister said. It was true, she was trying to make herself better and she did need to handle this one final obstacle. Could she really be considering taking this job though? "Now, I know you can't be mad at me anymore right?" Jade said with a smile and Gale couldn't help but laugh it off. "Right, I have to be a big girl about this. I will think about it. Sorry about barging in here like that, I know your customers must think we are crazy." Jade just shrugged, "In this town, nothing gets too past them. Now does he still look the same to you as he always did?" "There is nothing there Jade. I have no feelings for him." "Sure you don't." Jade said rolling her eyes, "Now run along and do your thinking and researching." "I didn't say I was going to take the job." She said grabbing her purse. "Well in case you do, you have something to contribute when you see him." Jade smiled. Gale shook her head as she grabbed her purse leaving the restaurant. Even though she told Jade that she was going to possibly think about this there were still so many questions going off in her mind. He was close by which unnerved, irritated, but at the same time slightly excited her. On the way to her new loft, she thought about how he looked at her when her eyes flickered open. How in that brief moment she almost let herself get caught up in the concern sincerity in his eyes? The same way he use to look at her back when they were younger. Even if she tried, she would never forget how she felt when he first came barreling in her life. How she allowed herself to fall into those piercing jade eyes? How everything about him seduced her and she allowed his words to swim in her head? She remembered that hot summer where she was spending time at Camp Wichita again volunteering for camp counselor. She had been going every since she was a kid. At 17, she started working as a counselor during the summer. Now this was the summer before college and she was out there with Tara watching over her younger sisters enjoying camping with their friends. Gale was busy getting everything setup for archery when Tara came over in a big huff, "You have got to see him." She said out of breath. "Okay calm down; who are you talking about?" Gale smiled. "There is a new counselor that just came today and oh my goodness, he is hot." "Really? How hot?" "Like Brad Pitt and JC Chasez hot." She said and Gale had to put what she had in her hands down. "No way." She said with a raised eyebrow. "Yes way. He is tall, has a great body, long hair and he is foreign." "Come on Tara, there is no way a guy like that made his way all the way here to Camp Wichita." "Well, why don't you see for yourself? I will finish up here and you go finish up kitchen duty. He is in there now." "Come on Tara." "What? Are you scared that you may like what you see?" Gale saw the challenging look in Tara's eyes. She never could resist a challenge. "You're on." Gale said stomping to the kitchen. Really how hot could this guy be? Gale has always been open minded when it came to guys but she never thought about really going out with white guys with long hair. She always thought the long hair made them look grungy and dirty. You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 01 She went in and saw a couple of the female counselors walking around with goofy smiles going in and out the kitchen. Some of them had on short shorts or made their camp shirts into half shirts. He must be in the kitchen. She straightened her shoulders and made her way into the kitchen waiting to see what the big deal was about. As soon as she crossed over in the kitchen and saw the dark hair Adonis on the ladder, she stopped in her tracks. Wow, the description that Tara gave didn't do him justice. He was tall and built lean but she definitely noticed his huge biceps that were barely contained in his shirt. His dark thick jet black hair was pulled back away from his hard handsome face. His skin was a little pale but it only added to his gorgeous features that made him look dangerous. If there was a way to be hard and handsome at the same time, he accomplished that with his well defined cheek bones and small patch of stubble on his upper lip. She bit down on her bottom lip as she felt her body immediately reacting to his body and everything about him. He just put his last can up when he glanced Gale's way and then looked at her again, piercing right through her with those emerald wolf eyes. "Well, didn't know I had an audience." His smooth voice caressed every part of her with that thick Irish accent. It was official, Gale was in major lust. He climbed down the ladder and casually leaned against it, "What's your name, love?" he said. "I'm Abigail Young, but everyone calls me Gale. I heard that you were new around here and I just thought I would introduce myself." "Nice, I get a nice little welcoming committee. Not a bad looking one at that." He said as his eyes ate up every part of her body. She knew that stare, she had her fair share of stares like that even from men older than her, but coming from him, it just made her body heat up like never before. "Forgive me and my manners, I'm Patrick Adlam." He said walking to her and extending his hand. She took it and felt the electric spark that shocked her to her core so much that it made her draw her hand back. Patrick felt it, that kinetic energy that made him want to draw her closer to him. She was by far the most beautiful creature he has seen in America. She was just a few inches shorter than him and she was built like a coke bottle. He thought women being built like that was just a myth for America. Her skin looked like smooth rich milk chocolate that made him curious if she tasted just as sweet. He watched her switch her stance to her right hip, pushing it out slightly making her figure more defined. "Well Patrick, what brings you here?" she said folding her arms walking over to the boxes of food. "Well, I'm starting school in the states and I thought this would be a nice way to start some community work. What about you?" he asked as she started talking some of the cans out of the box. "This is my third year here. I have been coming since I was a kid and now that my sisters are able to enjoy it; I watch over them here." "Oh you have younger sister?" "Yea, two of them." "You are lucky. I'm an only child so I don't have that luxury of younger siblings." "Well, it's not all it's cracked up to be." She shrugged, "Where are you going to school?" "I'm starting in Stanford University and you?" "Well, I'm going to Rice." Figures he would be an Ivy Leaguer, "I'm sorry, I just started taking over; do you need my help? Or want it?" Oh he wants something from her alright, "I appreciate that very much. I wouldn't mind talking to you more." She bit down on her bottom lip as she headed for the ladder, "So is school the only reason you came here? Are your parents here too?" "They are; we just go back and forth between here and home." She started to up the ladder and he went over to it holding it steady. "Oh," she said putting up the last can, "I bet your girlfriend is going to hate that." She baited. He couldn't do anything but chuckle lightly as he watched her ass coming slowly towards him, "If that's your way of seeing if I do have a girlfriend, the answer is no. I don't have a girlfriend." She finally came off the ladder and noticed that he hadn't moved. His body wasn't pressed against hers but she could still feel the heat pulsating from him body and hitting hers. She turned her head to the side and dared to look into those eyes that were searching hers. "At least I don't, yet." He said with the corners of his mouth coming turning up into a wolf like smile. Oh boy, he is going to be trouble, Gale thought to herself but she would welcome the challenge. She didn't know until years later how much trouble he was. She laid in her bubble bath reliving every first she ever shared with him. He was her first real love, her first lover, and the first person to break her heart. After they broke up she would wonder countless times what he was doing and where was he. Could she really get back involved with him? Granted she knew better than to get in another relationship with him, but just the thought of being around him and having him back in her life made her stomach flip. After her bath, she was about to fix a plate when she heard her phone ring. She was so deep in thought she didn't even think to look and see who it was calling. "Hello." She sighed. "Gale." There was that thick Irish accent that stopped her cold. What should she say? She didn't want to talk to him right now and how exactly did he get her number, "I hear you breathing on the other end Gale." "How did you get my number?" she finally asked. "Remember I'm trying to hire you, so my assistant got your number." Oh yea that. "What is it Mr. Adlam?" "Dear Gale, we go back too far for you to call me by my last name." "That may be but that doesn't matter right now Mr. Adlam. What is it that you want, it is very late." "It's barely past nine." She sighed into the phone and he took the hint to reign in the charm, "I'm sorry Gale, I was calling about the job. I know that things between us have been a little unsettling." "That's putting it mildly." She commented before she could stop herself. "At any rate, I do really need you for this job. I had my people do a background check on your work and everyone says the same thing; that they can't find anyone that cares about the job like you do. I know despite everything that we been through; you still will perform the job. I need you Abby; you are still the only person I can trust." She sighed trying to shrug off the need in his voice. "I will think about it." "Gale please, I have a deadline that I do want to open the hotel in time. I know you will work your hardest to make sure it happens. I'm begging you, please." She tried to ignore the tug on her heart when he said that. She swallowed it down and took a deep breath, "Like I said Mr. Adlam, I will think about it. Good night." "Sleep tight Abby." She quickly hung up the phone holding it over heart speeding heart. She turned off the phone and sat it on the kitchen counter. Time to get this day happened, she thought as she headed to her bedroom. The next day, Patrick slowly got himself together. He didn't get much sleep last night; she plagued his dreams, just like she has every since they broke up. This one was real too, he could have sworn he felt her under him, her sweet full lips kissing him back with the same fire she always had for him. He could have sworn he felt himself slide inside of her feeling her tightness stretch around him. When he woke up and found himself in bed alone, he couldn't mask the disappointment all over his face or the raging hard on. He had a feeling this was going to happen when he saw her again, but it was a risk he had to take. It just made him all the more determined to bring her where she belongs. He was heading to his car when he heard his phone, "Good morning Mara." He sighed. "Morning Patrick how was your night?" she said a little too nicely. He knew Mara. "Is that suppose to be sarcasm, Mara?" "I have you know that it's not in the least bit. I just want you to know that you brought me to this nice little town with all these nice looking couples. There are even nice looking women and wouldn't you know I can't find another damn lesbian!" she shouted into the phone. "Well if I'm not getting any, I don't see why you should." "Don't even compare because you can eventually work on it, that's if she can stop hating you. I'm stuck here and I can't get a single one to bite. You know that hardly ever happens." "I know, but that's a good thing, we have a big job to do and that means we shouldn't have any distraction." "You know what, suck my strap on Patrick! You always do this to me and make it so I can't get any on these little trips." "Not like I checked the lesbian population here." He said getting in his car. "You think there is way you can get this Gail chick to work for you?" He let out a big sigh, "I don't know." "What? Is there doubt I'm hearing from the ever charming Patrick Adlam?" "This is different. Gale is different; won't matter, that just means I have to work a little harder." He smiled, "Just be ready when I get there." "Yes, oh demanding one." She said and quickly hung up the phone. They pulled up to the hotel and saw another car there, Gale's car. As soon as they pulled up next to her car, she slowly got out the car. He sat there envying the skirt hugging her ass like he use to. The button down shirt teased him showing the tops of her breast. She certainly has filled out a little more, he thought as he bit down ran his tongue on the across his lips. "You left that? Man, I should kick your ass again." Mara said shaking her head. Patrick shook his head as he saw her waiting patiently in front of the building. He knew that impatient look. He got out the car and casually made his way to her. He stuffed his hands in her pockets trying to hide the effect looking at her had on him. Luckily he had on sunglasses so he could stare at her as much as he wants. "Good morning, Abby." He said the first to break the silence. "Mr. Adlam, if you want my help, you're going have to pay for it, just like everyone else. Except you are going have to pay a little bit more than normal for the job that you want me to do. You tell me what you want; I'll make it happen on a couple of conditions. There will be no bringing up our past relationship; we don't need to talk about it. Two, you don't try to use my sisters or anyone that knows me to try and get closer to me. Three, my hours are 8 to 6 at night, that means you don't call me after six." "Ok, anything else Abby?" "Yes, you don't call me Abby. This is business so there's no need for pet names. Are we clear, Mr. Adlam." She said pursing her lips together. He wanted to kiss those full lips so bad but knew that was a lost cause, "Crystal, Ms. Young." He said in a low whisper. "Good, now let's get to work." She said turning on her heels and went inside the hotel. "Wow, I think she turned me on a little." Mara said watching Gale walk further in to the hotel. "You're not the only one." He said with a smile. You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 02 Gail stepped out of one of the rooms accessing the work that she would have to do and thinking of so many ideas that would be great addition. She couldn't deny that there was so much potential here especially with since it's like working with a blank canvas. She couldn't help but notice the work her brother had done was phenomenal. Normally, she didn't mind this part, in fact she loved it, but not with him right at her heels. No matter how she tried to shake it off, she felt his eyes on her the entire time as the toured the place and he rattled off ideas that he had. She cleared her throat once they got back downstairs and she jotted down a few more notes, "So, what do you think Ms. Young? Is it something that can be done?" he asked not enjoying the taste that it left in his mouth to call her out so formal. "I believe so. It's going to take time, effort and money of course, but if we really work on it then it could be a big success." "I told you that it would be a good investment." Mara said with a smile. Patrick was about to say something when his phone went off, "Excuse me ladies, I have to take this." He said moving away from the group. Gail couldn't help but glance at him a little as he walked away. He still had that tight ass, she thought and then immediately shook her head. What was she thinking? "Yea, he seems to have that effect on women." Mara said and Gail immediately jerked her head up. "I don't know what you mean." Gail shrugged. "Come on now. I saw you checking him out. I mean, I'm the first one to admit, that my boss is really cute." It was at that moment that Gail started to question what this relationship was with his assistant. They seemed really close and she was a beautiful woman. The thought sparked a hidden jealous that she swallowed. "So, you and Mr. Adlam have known each other for awhile?" Gail asked. "Oh yea, for awhile now." Mara said and Gail just nodded, "And then there's the sex we've been having." "What?" Gail immediately said snapping the pencil she had in her hand in half. Mara just started laughing, "I'm kidding. There is nothing going on between us. Patrick and I went to college together and pledge the same fraternity." "Fraternity?" "Yea, who said that it was just for the boys? I don't play those games. Patrick was the only person that really pushed for me to get in. We have been good friends every since." "Oh, wow so since college, you have known him?" Gail thought of the many conversations that she had with him back in those days, "Are you M?" "So, he did talk about me to you? I always wondered about that." "Yea he did. Now I can finally put a face to the name; although, I did think the face was a little more masculine." Gail smiled and then swallowed hard before asking again, "So, nothing ever happened between you two?" "Oh no, he's not my type." She said shaking her head, "We like the same thing." "Oh." Gail said slightly confused and then it finally clicked, "OH!" Mara started laughing again, "Not that it matters if anything is going on between you two." Mara just shook her head, "Sure, I can tell you really don't care. Well, believe me, he told me many stories of you. So much so that I had to constantly tell him to shut up when he talked to you for hours on the phone." She remembered that too; the constant hours they spent on the phone with each other talking about nothing and everything. No use reliving those days. "I imagine it must be kind of hard working with him again." She said and Gale took a deep breath. "Somewhat, but I can handle it. Everything we went through is in the past." "So, you grew up here?" "No, I moved here after my divorce. I was staying there because I thought my mom needed me but every since she got her new boyfriend, I decided to move here by my sisters." "That's right: Jade and Nicole, how are they doing?" "Well Jade is still in her honeymoon stage with James and Nicole is doing very well in college." "Has she decide what she is going to major in?" "She decided she is going into sports medicine." "Oh, she can go pretty far with that especially getting a doctorate. Does she plan on interning?" "I hope so. She has been real dedicated with school and she was working for my sister's best friend." "You have any friends around here?" "Here? Not so much. I have one best friend I trust that lives back where I'm from but she is talking about moving here with her daughter." "Your whole family is here? I wouldn't be surprised if your mom moves here soon." "You know what? I wouldn't be surprised by that either." They both laughed. "I hope I'm not interrupting any girl talk." They both looked up to see Patrick at the door. "No, I was helping her with some decisions." Mara smiled. "Right, Mara, I have a conference call in 10 minutes, you mine taking over for me?" "My work is never done. I swear I should make you give me a raise." He crossed his arms across his chest as he smiled at her, "I'm already overpaying you." "I didn't say anything about over paying me. It's just the point I should ask for one." She said walking past him and he just shook his head. "Great girl." Gale said packing up her stuff. "She is a jokster but no one works as hard as she do for me." "You're lucky. Well, I'm going to put some samples together and bring them to you." She said heading to the door. "Gale, I am attending this party. It's full of investors and advertising people and I want to pitch the idea to them about the hotel. I was wondering if you would come with me?" "Why should I?" she sighed looking over at him. "Trust me, it's not anything romantic going on. It will be strictly business, besides there will be a lot of investor's wives just itching to redecorate their house." Gale sighed as he obviously tried to bait her with that, "I don't know about this Mr. Adlam. I mean..." "If it makes you feel comfortable we don't have to ride together or anything like that. I know you started your business here, you need some clients, and everything to start it off. At least let me help with the clients part." "I didn't say that I need your help with that, but considering the type of party that it is, I will take you up on that offer." He gave her that award winning smile that used to make her weak, "When is it?" "It's tomorrow night at the Hilton downtown." He went over to his briefcase and handed her a invite, "Here is an extra invitation, so you can get in and it is nothing extremely dressy so don't go out and buy something out the way." "I get it Mr. Adlam; like I said I will go. I guess I will see you tomorrow and I will start working on a profile." "Gale, thank you so much. I really owe you one." "Oh, you really do and I will get it in my paycheck." Gale smiled briefly before storming past him, leaving him smirking to himself. She's still sassy as hell, he thought as he listened to the click of her heels grow fainter. It was becoming harder to be so close to her. She was everything to him, from the moment he saw her. He kicked himself everyday for letting her go. A mistake he vowed he would never make again when he gets her back. "So, what's the plan on this one?" Mara asked as she walked up to him. "I just have to go with the flow. I have to let her lead everything until she opens up." "Good, I'm glad that you aren't trying to play games or anything like that." "I already hurt her too much and I promised myself that I wasn't going to do that again." And he meant that, he just needed a chance from her. Gale got back to her house kicking her shoes off as soon as she got in the door. Long day, she sighed looking around. She felt like she was holding on to so much stuff and that everything had her bound. She never thought she would be this close to Patrick again. Even though she accepted this job she still felt like either punching him or crying every time she was around him. She took off her skirt and jacket looking at her face in the mirror. She had to be strong. She wasn't that same girl anymore. That same girl that was so head over heels in love, that had nothing but high hopes with the man that she thought she would be with forever. She unbuttoned her shirt and turned on her radio. She stopped when she heard that song, their song. She remembered that night perfectly. She collapsed in the bed as the harmonized voices wrapped her up in the memory of this song playing during their first kiss. Gale couldn't believe how much fun she was having with Patrick. This was the sixth night they had snuck out after hours at the camp to hang out. Since during the day they spent their time with the kids, they would sneak away to be with each other at night. They would either take walks around the campgrounds or sit by the lake and talk. She been on plenty of dates with guys, but she never really allowed herself to enjoy it much. They had so much in common and she enjoyed how passionate he talked about his career goals. They didn't do anything much but hold hands and he held her at times, but no kissing. She wanted to kiss him! Every time that she thought he was moving in for the kill, he would back off. What was the deal? She knew he wanted it too. That's fine, but she was determined to be kissed by him tonight. She had her hair pulled back away from her face, because he always complimented on how bright her eyes were and that he loved looking into them and she wore her favorite lips gloss that made her lips pop. He brought his radio and they had been talking and just enjoying the scenery. "Did you see the picture that Jade drew today?" he asked. "I did. I know mom would be so proud of her when she sees it." "Yea, she said tomorrow, she was going to make me one." "You really do have a way with kids." But I don't really want to talk about my baby sister, Gale thought. "Not really, just a way with girls." He said giving her that sly smile, pulling her closer and she shook her head. She sat looking out at the lake with his arms around her. There was a long silence but it was a comfortable silence. That's one thing that Gale really likes about Patrick, nothing was forced with them. It was a comfortable silence, but today it was a little uncomfortable only because she knew what she wanted. It was the perfect setting, the moonlight reflecting in the lake and the soft music playing in the background. She was so close to him and still nothing. What was wrong? She was for sure he liked her like that but nothing. "Okay, that's it." She finally said getting up. Patrick looked up confused, "What's wrong?" "I think it's time I go to bed." He suddenly stood to full height, "I thought we were having a good time, like always." "Yea, sure." She said turning away from him. He hooked her chin and turned her around to face those gorgeous eyes, "What's wrong?" "I just feel like you know, that we should have kissed by now." She blurted, "There I said it." "So, you want to kiss me?" he said with that cocky grin. "Come on Patrick, don't tease. You haven't made no attempt or anything like that." "Well, you are right about that, I haven't made any attempt, but that's because I have been waiting for the right moment." "Well, when is the right moment? We have been having a good time for the past six nights and nothing. I mean I appreciate that you are being a gentleman, but I have wanted to kiss you for some time now." She huffed ready to head back to her cabin. He grabbed her arm and pulled her back to face him, "You don't think this has been hard for me too. I mean, to sit here and all I can do is think about your lips is pretty damn hard." "So, why don't you kiss me?" "I've just been trying to restrain myself because I feel like once I start kissing you, I'm not going to want to stop." He said staring into her eyes and she swore her heart started beating out of her chest. She took a deep breath, "Well, that was the honesty that I was looking for." She smiled. "Good." They stood there for a minute as he continued staring at her and she looked everywhere else. He was going to move closer until they heard Blackstreet's Before I let you go come on the radio. She took a deep breath as she finally looked up at him. "Um, just so I can put it out there, I really like you Patrick." "I really like you too, that's why I don't really want this night to end, but I do know why it has too." She nodded, "But...before I let you go away, can I get a kiss good night?" he sang just before planting his lips against hers. She felt like he was taking her breath away. The way his tongue moved inside her mouth in slow deliberate strokes. She grabbed on to his shoulders as his arms wrapped around her. Her whole body felt like it was rejoicing and there was this raw urge that was bubbling inside her. This power that made her want to rip off his clothes and feel his body pressed up against hers; flesh to flesh. She just about came undone when she felt his wide hands palm her ass. She couldn't help the moan that escaped from her lips as they continued to explore each other's mouth. It was like they tuned out the outside world and just focused on each other. It wasn't till they felt a bright burning light on their face that they finally parted away from each other to see where it was coming from. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I wanted to come by and catch you guys. I overheard some of the adults doing a cabin check, so we better hurry." Tara smiled as she looked between the two. "Yea, we better go." Gale breathed trying to catch her breath. "Yea," he leaned in closer to her ear, "Told you I wouldn't want to stop." He whispered and her knees almost gave in. Oh, he is going to be fun, Gale thought. Gale snapped back to reality as her eyes flew open. That's how they were, but that was then. Why couldn't she heal from this? She placed her hand over her stomach and realized why she couldn't heal from this just yet. She wanted answers from him. She needed it. She breathed as she cuddled up to the pillow. The next day, Gale went to see Jade. Something about talking to Jade made her feel a little bit at ease about certain decisions. She called the restaurant and they said she was at the repair shop. Typical, she thought with a smile. She tried to call Jade's cell but she didn't pick up. As she pulled up to the shop, her phone rung and she saw it was Tara, "Hey girlfriend." Gale said. "Hey, I was checking on you, since I haven't heard anything." "I'm doing okay." She paused and Tara laughed. "You are a such a bad liar. What's going on?" She sighed, "Patrick's here." Gale can hear the wheels turning in her head, "Patrick Adlam?" "The one and only." "Oh my God. Jessica, put that down! I'm so sorry, how is it going?" "He is pretty much my boss at the hotel that I'm decorating, but it will be okay." "Are you sure? I mean after everything that happened with..." "I know Tara and I just want to forget about it. I'm going to do the work and I'm going to finally put an end to everything between me and him." "I thought it was already over?" "It is. It's just that it brings up bad memories seeing him. I'll be okay, I promise." "If you need me, I'll be here. I don't know how comforting that is with me not actually being there, but..." "It's very comforting. Besides, you will be here soon." "Yes I know. The moving company already picked up all the boxes and furniture, tonight we are staying at a hotel." "Okay, so what time should your flight arrive?" "It should get there around 3, so just come by and pick us up." "Will do. I will talk to you later." "Alright, bye." Gale hung up the phone and got out the car. She walked up to James' office and knocked on the door before going in. She knew better than to just barraging in on the two. "Yea, come in." She heard James gruff voice. She opened the door and saw James sitting at his desk with Jade behind him rubbing his shoulders. "Gale?" Jades questioned. "Who?" James asked flipping his eyes open. Gale shrugged as she moved inside the office and closed the door, "Hey guys. I was wondering if it's okay I talk to you Jade." "Yea, of course. You want to go back to the restaurant or some place else?" Jade asked. "No it's okay. I kind of want a male prospective on some things as well since James is here." "And you want me?" James questioned. "Call it sudden confusion that I'm asking, but yea." She smirked. "Wow baby, mark this on the calendar." James said. "Honey, quit. What's up?" Jade asked. "I need to tell you about me and Patrick. Um, remember when we graduated from college and we almost got the house?" Jade nodded, "Well, he came up to me the night before the closing and told me that he didn't love me and that I was just for fun. He pretty much said that he couldn't marry a poor black girl." She breathed as she said the words out loud feeling the lump in throat. "What?" Jade said shaking her head, "No, he was always saying how much he loved you." "I know, but he said it and pretty much called what we went through a mistake. About a month later I found out that he married someone else; some blonde chick." "Oh my God. I had no idea." "No one did besides Tara and mom. I figured you guys loved Patrick so much that I didn't think you guys would get it." "But you never told us?" "I know, I just kept it hidden for so long that I didn't want to deal with it till now." Gale looked down at her fingers as she tried to fight the hurt and pain that she felt years ago. "I don't get it. He came to me a couple of weeks before I called you saying that he needed to talk to you and then he talked about the job. He told me he made a mistake, so I don't get it." "It's nothing but regret for hurting me. Some things may have happened and he traced it back to how he treated me. You know, trying to clear his conscious." "I'm so sorry Gale." Jade said coming around the desk and hugging her. "He just came up and said this all of sudden?" James asked. "Yea. I mean we got engaged and ready to start our lives together. Then he it was just like he stopped loving me." "How did he seem the night he told you all this?" "I don't know. He was cold, not like him." James rubbed his chin. "What's up baby?" Jade asked. "It doesn't make sense how you can be so in love one day for nearly what four years and then out of it the next." Gale scoffed, "Believe me James, I have been stressing myself over that question for a long time and I don't have the energy to think about it like that anymore." "I'm just saying sis, it doesn't make sense, unless..." Oh goodness, it was just like James to try and figure everything out and not take her side, "What are you talking about? Unless what?" "He was forced to do it." "What?" Gale said shaking her head, "No, James I went through every scenario that I could think of about this and I don't think that is it." "It makes sense Gale. You can't go from 100 to zero in a matter of seconds so it's obvious that he was either forced to do this or he was saving you from something." No, that couldn't be. There was nothing that he needed to save her from. They were going to live a happy life, as far as she knew everything was great. "We were in a good place, why would he try to save me and not tell me anything?" "It's a guy thing, we sometimes keep things hidden to hide the bigger problem. It's selfish, yes, but it's something we do and I sense this here. Patrick is hiding something from you and that's the reason why he broke up with you." * Hey guys, thank you so much for being patient with me. I just checked and saw I went three months without an update and that's no bueno. I am slowly getting over what happened so I'm good finally. Hope that you like the new installment because I'm going to start updating regularly like normal. Later Dayz You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 03 "I think I like the red one." Nicole said as Gayle modeled another dress for her. "Why the red one; I like this one better." "Because Patrick likes red on you. I do remember some things about him." Nicole shrugged. "I'm not picking this dress because he likes it. This is not for Patrick." "Well, then I'm confused. What's it for if not for Patrick? I mean he is the one that invited you to this little party." "It's a business affair, Nicole. I am going only to help promote the hotel and possibly to get more clients." "Can't we just agree that a little of this is because of Patrick. I mean, I never really understood why you guys broke up. I liked Patrick." Gayle took a deep breath ready to tell Nicole the real story about her hero Patrick. The moment she turned around ready to tell her, she stopped instantly. She saw that hopeful look in her eyes. The bright eye look of there is still hope out there and everything will be alright. She couldn't possibly just crush on those thoughts. Hell, she already did so much damage to her sisters. "I know you liked him, but we just had to move on. It wasn't our time." "What if this was you guys time? What if he came back realizing how much of a mistake he made and wants you back? It's so romantic." Nicole smiled. Gayle laughed, sitting down next to her, "And what makes you so pro love?" Nicole just shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. I just always believed in it. I mean I'm surrounded by it now with Jade and James, Dominique and Nik, and let's not forget Katrina and Scott. I mean I have the whole school thing covered, I might as well devote part of my energy to something else." "That sounds like there is someone out there that has caught your eye little sister." Gayle nudged and Nicole just laughed. "I mean, I like someone, but there are some things I'm not sure about." "Ooh, I have been waiting on this moment; come on dish." Gayle said turning her body towards her. "There is nothing really to dish. It's just one of those moments where I think he is really cool, but I don't think he knows I exist or worst, I could be heading into that category of he sees me as a little sister or thinks we can be good friends." "Oh, the category of death." Gayle laughed along with her. "Exactly, so I'm kind of at a weird moment. I want to talk to him but I keep waiting on him to make the first move and other guys on campus are asking me out." "Well honestly, if this guy isn't making any moves at all, I say go for dating the other guys." "How did I know you were going to say that?" "I mean, knowing you, there is no telling how long you have waited for this guy to make a move and you are going into your junior year of college. Come on little sister; don't wait so long on one guy. At least have a little fun and then he can realize how much he wants you and then he will get you." "Is that what you are supposed to do?" Nicole said scrunching up her eyebrows. "Oh, that's right I'm dealing with a novice. Sometimes that's how you do it to get the man you want." "But I don't want to get him by playing games. I want to be completely honest with him." "It's being honest. I'm not saying openly lie about a guy, just take up your time doing other things and having fun. That way, you don't spend so much of it thinking about him." Nicole nodded. "I guess I see where you are going with this. My roommate has been dying to take me out to the club to meet guys." "Yes, just don't come back with any drunken club stories. I don't think mama will be able to handle that." "I will watch it." Nicole chuckled, "Okay, so about this dress you plan on wearing, maybe not red because it is a business affair but I like the other black dress; the one that looks like a tuxedo jacket." "Oh really?" "Yea, it says I'm sexy but long enough to say I'm strong, sophisticated, and still a business woman." Gayle laughed, "Alright, nice choice and what will you be doing?" "I think I'm going to take my roommate up on her offer and go out with her." "Good job, now have fun and don't over think anything." Gayle smiled as Nicole grabbed her book bag, "You want me to drive you back to the dorm?" "If you could please." Gayle went ahead and sat everything that she was going to wear out before driving Nicole back to her dorm. She couldn't believe that her mousy little sister was ready to not only go out but date guys. She knew this day would come, but she just didn't know it would be so soon. Nicole never really knew what to do about boys so for her to be ready to date and mingle was huge. Even though, she tried to keep her mind on positive things, she couldn't help but to think about what James said earlier. Patrick was hiding something? The thought of him hiding something like this from her disturbed her greatly. They have always been so honest and upfront with each other. She wasn't going to lie to herself; she always thought something about the way Patrick ended everything didn't feel right. He never used those types of words when he talked to her, everything that Patrick said to her was gentle, sweet, and said with so much love. No, why was her mind doing this? She can't think about this. They broke up and haven't seen each other in almost 10 years. 10 years that she already ran through every possible scenario of why he said what he said. She will not go back to doing that. She got ready for the party, deciding on the dress that Nicole picked out. She found herself checking herself out several times in the mirror. She wanted to make sure that everything was perfect and not a hair out of place. Not that it was for him or anything, she thought to herself before she grabbed her clutch and went out the door. She pulled out her phone taking a deep breath before calling him. "Hello Abigail." She heard him say as soon as he answered the phone, his tone swirling all through her body. She cleared her throat, trying to shake it off, "Mr. Adlam, I was calling to let you know that I was heading towards the party. Where should I meet you?" "I'm already here, so I can meet you up front. Valet can take care of parking your car just pull around front." "Fine, thank you." "You are very welcome. Don't forget to bring that smile. The men around here would love to see that and you will get a lot more attention." "Goodbye Mr. Adlam." She quickly said hanging up, feeling him smile through the phone. He was always a cocky son of a bitch. Unfortunately, that was one of the things that she liked about him. He had this air of confidence of any situation no matter what. She remembered times when he would tell her about being worried about school, but then the very next day his confidence was back. He will conquer whatever it was he was worried about without any problems. It annoyed her sometimes only because she wished she had that. He was so encouraging and said he always knew the right thing to say. It was him that gave her the idea of becoming an interior decorator. Around her second half of the third year semester, once she settled on what she was going to major in, she wasn't sure what she was going to do with it. The market was so strenuous and she didn't think she will be able to make it on her own. She remembered when he surprised her on her way to her dorm room. It was exactly what she needed at the time. She was coming back from marketing class, tired and exhausted. Everything was frustrating to her. She knew she loved decorating, but the person that she said she was going to intern with told her how it can be hard if she didn't have any good clients, especially as a beginner. For someone that she was suppose to shadow and encourage her to do the business, the guy wasn't doing a very good job. It was almost like he was purposely telling her to try something else. She just wanted to lie down, relax, and possibly call Patrick if she could. She opened the door and dropped her bag on the floor. "Honey, I'm home." she said calling out for Tara. "I think that's suppose to be my line." She jumped at the familiar voice behind her. She turned around to see Patrick standing by the door, shutting it. Her heart leaped seeing his smiling face and gorgeous green eyes sparkling at her. "Rick!" she shouted jumping into his awaiting arms. He held her close feeling her body mold against his. It was a feeling that he longed for every time they were apart. He kissed her shoulder as her smell swirled in his head. The feel of her breast pressed firmly against his chest. Oh, it's been so long since he held her like this. Oh he will have to pull her away before he let his hormones get the best of him. "What are you doing here baby? How did you get in?" she smiled looking up at him. "Tara let me in of course and I came to surprise you." "Well, this is certainly a surprise." She pressed her lips to his, "I missed you." She whispered against his lips just before kissing him again. Oh how he missed her, he thought as his tongue moved in her mouth caressing hers. He broke away, noticing the lust that was taking over in her eyes. "Now I know how much you missed me, but I missed you too. So, I got some news for you." He said pulling away from her warm body. "What's that?" "I'm officially becoming a student here to finish my years." Her mouth dropped, "Are you serious? How did you do that." She said tackling him on the bed, hugging him. "I talked to my dad and convinced him that this is a good school to go to finish my degree. He thought it would be great especially since he wants the business to cross over to America." "Oh my God, baby I love it. Then we can see each other a lot more." "That's right and a lot more things can happen." He said winking at her and she couldn't help but pinch his side as he laughed, "Speaking of school; is everything okay?" She sighed not really sure how to answer that loaded question, "It's good." "Gailyn." He said letting her know that he didn't buy that answer, "I know you better enough to know that good means not so good." She bit her lip, "It's just I'm unsure about my major." "I thought you wanted to be an interior designer and decorate people's house. I remember you were going to try it out first on our house." He smiled and she just shrugged. "I do, but remember the guy I'm interning with?" P Patrick nodded, "I'm just not getting anything from him. All he has been telling me is the hard work and the countless hours. He even told me that I wouldn't have time for a family or relationship. I mean I know there's going to be some hard times but he hasn't really told me anything positive or given me positive feedback on my work that I've done so far." "Wow, really?" Patrick asked. "Yes, and all I keep thinking about is how someone I'm suppose to mentor from can tell me all this." "Well, it's obvious my love; he sees something in you." "What?" "Yea, it's nothing worse than when a man sees someone as competition. This guy sounds like he knows you are talented and wants to discourage you as much as he can." "Well, I don't understand I do the work he asks me too and I can't even get a good job or anything like that." Patrick sat down and pulled her into his lap, "Baby, there will be many times where you won't get that. All that matters is if at the end of the day, you think you did a good job. I know you are going to do great with this too." "You really think so?" "I know so." Gayle smiled leaning over to kiss him, "So I think you shouldn't let this guy discourage you baby. I can tell you have a gift for it." "How can you tell?" "Cause when you put so much passion for something like you do for this, then you can succeed." She smiled loved hearing his encouraging words. He always knew how to make her feel better, "Is that how you know I have a gift with you?" she said leaning closer to him. He growled low, "That's right, because you definitely have a passion with me baby." He smiled pressing his lips to hers. She knew talking to him would make her feel better. Her baby is always there when she needs him. Her heart swelled at the thought of his words and him eventually coming to live here. He pulled her close and laid her down on the bed. She always felt so safe and loved in his arms. His hands traveled up her thighs as she opened them up to him. "Baby, Tara may be coming in here shortly." She said slightly pulling away. "Don't you ladies have some sort of sock on the door method?" he smiled moving his hand up her shirt. "No and I don't want to get anything started and she walks in." "Well, we can solve that problem baby. I do have a hotel room and it has a bed with our name on it." "Oh is that all that you are here for?" He started laughing, "No honey, I have a nice little day planned for us tomorrow. But you can't blame me for having a one track mind right now." He said kissing her again and she felt her breath being taken away. Gayle bit down on her lip as she recalled that moment. He kept pushing her to finish her degree, even giving her the idea to go into business herself. He was so good to her back then. There was nothing that could stop them, but apparently, something did. She pulled up to the hotel taking some deep breaths before she put on her best smile. The door opened for her and she got out of the car only to lock eyes with those smoldering green ones. "You look beautiful Abigail." He said with those eyes roaming all over her body. She took a deep breath, "Thank you Mr. Adlam. We should go in." "Yes, I took care of valet for you." "I could have taken care of that myself." "I know, but these are just the perks working for me." He smiled and she just walked past him. "Don't think that this is affecting my pay." She said and he just smiled as he let the valet driver take the car. Gayle waited on Patrick who quickly joined her on the curb, "Alright, let's make some money." He said walking in with her following him. "So, where's Maria?" "She already in her holding down the fort; I just wanted to come down and grab you." "You know you didn't have to. Isn't this your party?" "Yea it's my party, but I have to give special treatment to my decorator." She was going to say something but she held her breath. She would have to address that later, she thought, "Are you ready for this?" he said as they made it to the door. "Please Mr. Adlam, I know how to work a room." "In that dress? Yes you do." He smiled again as he pushed the door open. Gayle immediately plastered on her smile as the place was filled with so many people mingling. Patrick went ahead and let her do her thing. He knew that she could hold her own. He just wanted to watch her for now. He could tell the men instantly loved her like he knew they would. "You keep looking at her like that people will know something is going on between you two." Maria said sneaking up on him. "I'm just admiring." "Patrick, I wish you would get you some act right when it comes to that girl. You feel like there is something still there on her end?" "I know there is Maria." He said, "It just takes time and I can be a patient man sometimes." "Yea right, tell that to someone who doesn't know you." He just looked over at her, "I have bad news though." "What's going?" he said looking worried. "I got word that we might be accompanied by a special guest." His brow wrinkled as he looked over at her, "Who?" and the look told him everything. He took a deep breath and just shook his head. Yep, this was indeed going to be an interesting night. He grabbed two glasses from one of the waitress passing by and handed the other to Maria. "We will drink these and then see if you can find something stronger." He said quickly downing the glass. "Aye, aye captain." Maria nodded. As the party continues, Gayle was coming along nicely with a lot of new potential business. She was telling people about the hotel idea, her own work, and even pumping up her sister's business for the people that were sticking around town for awhile. Most of the people loved the idea of the hotel and Patrick made appearances when they started asking about figures and things like that. She already knew that he wasn't far behind; she could always feel him close by. "Well Abigail is very good at her work and you know how I am Dan. I want the best." "I know that Patrick." The older man laughed as he looked at Gayle, his eyes eating her up, "So Abigail, I can really get you in touch with some really good buyers that have all the connection for international products." "That would be great sir, thank you." Gayle smiled. "Please, call me Dan." "Okay, Dan; that would be great." "Well, I will keep in touch Gayle." He smiled, "Excuse me for a moment." Dan said walking off to the appetizer table. Gayle sighed and turned back to face him, "Good job, sometimes Dan can be a tough nut to crack." Patrick commented. "Well sometimes I do have my way of charming people." "You certainly do Gailyn." He saw how her body shifted, "I mean Abigail. I'm sorry it slips out sometimes." "I see. You never told me why you called me that." "Excuse me?" "Gailyn. You called me that but I never questioned you or anything. I just thought it sounded nice, so why did you call me that?" He was about to open his mouth when it was quickly silenced. His eyes narrowed and she could feel the tension in his body. Something wasn't right; Patrick was only like that when he was upset or mad. She turned around and saw a bleach blonde woman in a short pink dress heading their way. She looked over at Patrick again and his expression didn't change. As the woman got closer, she smiled at Patrick, but it wasn't a friendly smile. No, it was smile that felt cold and calculating. "Patrick, it's so good to see you again." the woman's voice was oozing with the same accent as Patrick's. "Hello Aliana. I didn't think you were invited." Aliana? Why did that name sound so familiar Gayle thought. "My fiancé's friend was and he invited us. Small world that I would run into you here." "Especially since it's my party." He quickly said and she just coyly smiled. "Patrick, I was wondering...oh hell you're here." Maria quickly said as soon as she saw the blonde woman. "Well I see you still have your little guard Chihuahua." "Better be careful, I don't bite like a Chihuahua." Maria said with a warning smile. "And you are?" the blonde woman finally said to Gayle. "I'm..." she started. "None of your business." Patrick said getting very defensive. "Oh, is this a new girlfriend? It's okay Patrick; I know you can't really do that much better than me." Gayle's eyebrow raised as she took in what the bimbo just said. "Excuse me, my name is Abigail Young." She said and the smile slowly faded from Aliana's face. "Abigail? Your nickname wouldn't happen to be Gayle?" "Yes, that's what my friends and family calls me." After a brief silence, she cleared her throat, "Well then, nice to meet you. I'm Aliana, Patrick's wife." "Ex-wife." He quickly corrected. Gayle felt like all air left her body when she heard her say those words. Wife? His wife? This is the woman that he married. Now she remembered where she heard the name from. After their break up, she tried her best to find a way back to Patrick and read about him getting married to her. Gayle looked at the woman again and saw that same smug look that she had when she walked over here but there was something else behind it. She couldn't pin point what it was, but it was making Gayle angry. Now this she wasn't prepared for. "I...excuse me." Gayle quickly said leaving the tense reunion. She needed air. The people around her looked like a blur as she passed them by and she didn't care. She just needed to get away. She found the nearest balcony and stepped out. The wind hit her face instantly as if it was a confirmation that she found the right place to be. Ex-wife? She didn't know why she was feeling this way. She got married herself, but it was something about seeing her here that made her more real than she wanted to admit. You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 03 "Hey Gayle!" She heard behind her and saw Maria coming up, "Are you okay?" "Yea, I'm fine. I just needed some fresh air." "Okay, I wanted to check on you; especially after what she said." "Yea, I see he picked a peach." Gayle said clearing her throat. "Well, do you need me to get you anything?" Yea, she needed a drink but she didn't want to bother Maria, "No, I'm good. Go ahead and enjoy the party." "Alright, I'll be back if I don't see you after awhile." She said just before rejoining the party. Gayle sighed thinking if she should call her sisters or leave. She didn't want to be a complete baby so she was going to stick around for a little bit longer. She just has to grin and bear with everything. She took a deep breath as a shot glass appeared next to her face. That's what she wanted, she thought with a smile seeing the brown liquor filled to the brim. She looked to see whose arm it was and saw Patrick's face. "You looked like you need something harder." He said and she took the glass, "I always do after talking to her." "Well, you married her." She shrugged. "And I divorced her too." "Why?" He sighed leaning over the balcony rail, "Well, because I started to see her as she really is and there were other reasons as well." She down the glass enjoying the slight after burn, "Well then I guess she is a surprise to you that she is here, huh?" "Believe me I'm going to find out who is her fiancé's friend and make sure that they are eliminated from my roller decks." "You shouldn't do that Patrick; even if they are attached to her, they maybe beneficial to you. You can work with someone without dealing with her." "I can try but believe me, she is not an easy person to deal with." He looked up at her as if realizing something, "You called me Patrick." "It slipped." She said clearing her throat and he just plastered on that cocky smile. "I talked to some of the people in there and they said they loved the idea, so what you say we start shopping around for some things? I'm emailing the estimates to my finance manager tonight and they should give us some funds to work with." "I will see what I can do. I'm going to see how Nicole and Jade are doing." "How is Nicole? I suppose she is all grown up." Patrick said smiling at her. "You know she is in college around here. She's been running track and she wants to work in sports medicine." "That's good, tell her to let me know and I can probably talk to someone about her working with them, when she's ready." "You don't have to do that Patrick, she's..." "Gayle, I know that you and I may not be together but I do still care about your sisters. I threw Jade's name out there too about her restaurant and she told me about her other friend that's a planner. I'm going to have her possibly do the launch party for the hotel. I want to do something for Nicole too." Gayle was going to protest but thought better of it. Nicole could use the experience if she really wanted to do this as a career. "I'll let her know to call you when she's ready." "Thank you." They fell silent again. Gayle looked at the billions of stars up there. It made her think about nights like these where she use to spend countless hours in Patrick's arms looking up at them; wishing and dreaming. They were such dreamers. The world was theirs and no one could tell them any different. She thought about what James said and looked over at Patrick. She needed to know; she needed the truth. "What happened?" she asked. "What do you mean?" "Between us, Patrick; what happened?" "Gayle, I don't know if this is the place to talk about it." "I think this is the place. We were so in love one minute and then the next it was over and I didn't get any explanation. It was like; I was suppose to accept it." "I didn't mean for it to sound that way, I did love you." "Did you?" she scoffed, "Because the way I remembered it, I was just a good time thing; someone you would never marry. It's been years and I think I need some sort closure or explain it to me." He stood to full height turning to her with those dark green eyes, "I did love you. I don't know how to explain what happened between us." "Try Patrick. If anything be honest with me. We promised each other to always be straight forward and honest with one another." He looked off again, "Did you cheat on me with her?" His head back to look her dead in the eyes, "Never." "Then what?" she wanted to scream trying to hold her emotions in place. She was right. She deserved the truth, but he didn't know if he could admit the truth without making him look like a jerk. Well, it was too late for that; he was already a jerk in her eyes. He looked at her again into her pleading eyes; the eyes that once looked at him with all the love in the world. She is so beautiful to him, even now standing here looking up at him. He could never imagine the pain she went through but he knew his own pain from years of not having her with him. He didn't know what possess him to do it but his hand came up and slowly caressed her cheek. Gayle's whole body shivered. It's been so long since she felt his touch; his touch that always seemed to ignite her all over. She felt like she could hear her heart pounding against her chest. She closed her eyes leaning into his touch that seemed to bring back so many memories. Something inside of Patrick told him to claim it; claim what was rightfully his. "You're so beautiful Gailyn." He whispered. "Patrick." She started before he closed the gap between them. Gayle wanted to push Patrick away and slap him across his face, but her heart wouldn't allow her too. She needed to feel him; to make her feel the way that only Patrick could. He pulled her closer to him, feeling the magnetic heat from her body. The two of them pressed so tightly against each other was enough to burn this building down. He kissed her like a man dying of thirst and she was the cool drink of water that he craved. He could feel his manhood harden with her pressed so close against him. He needed to feel all of her. Gayle let herself get caught up in the moment, the feeling of being in his arms again, his tongue possessing her mouth. She shouldn't allow herself to be open like this, but she just wanted to feel wanted again; just one more time. He finally broke the connection looking down at her swollen lips. He wishes he could take to the nearest room and have his way with her all night. That they could go back to the way they use to be. He needed his Gayle back. She looked up at him and put a little more distance between them. He saw the lone tear fall down her face. "I have to go." She whispered and quickly turned around heading to the door. Patrick was right behind her, "Gayle please." She quickly turned to face him holding up her hands, "Don't! Don't follow me!" she sighed and he shook his head wanted to convince her to stay, "I'll see you in the morning. I just...I just have to go." She said leaving him out there alone. You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 04 "So, he kissed you," Jade said again. And it bugged the hell out of Gale, again. "Again," Gale sighed, pushing around her lettuce, "yes, he did." "What did you do after that?" Katrina asked. "I walked away and told him not to follow me." The two just looked on in shock. "Will you two stop looking like that? It's not that big of a deal." "Not that big of a deal? You kissed Patrick." "No, he kissed me. I was only trying to get some sort of explanation for the stuff that James had mentioned, and I still didn't get my answers." "Yea, it's hard to talk with his tongue in your mouth," Jade replied, which made Katrina snicker. Gale narrowed her eyes at the both of them and shook her head. "Look, I know that wasn't the best way to go about getting the explanation but it happened." "Well, how do you feel?" Dominique asked. "Forever the psychiatrist," Jade asserted, shaking her head, and Dominique just stuck out her tongue. "I don't know. At first I was like: 'how dare he kiss me?' and then it started to feel good. I mean, really good. It shouldn't be this way, right? I mean, we broke up years ago and to have these feelings just resurface out of nowhere is ridiculous." "Not so much. You both do have a lot of issues that need to be settled. Not just the break up, but the whole relationship in general. You said he claimed that it was only sex, but 'only sex relationships' don't last for a number of years where you meet the family and go through the process of finding a place for the two of you to live together. I think you need to talk to him, but in a neutral territory," Dominique finished. "Actually, that's not a bad idea," Katrina nodded. "That's what I was trying to do the other night." "Not really. When I say neutral territory, I mean something where you both aren't letting the emotions take over and you both are in a calm place. Let it flow; because, if you force it, then you may not get the entire story." "So, when does that whole therapy thing wear off?" Jade asked. "You know, since you're in the party planning business now." "Fortunately, since all of my friends are a little loony, never," Dominique smiled, and Jade held up her shaking fist at her. "Alright, I don't know how easy that will be though." Gale looked at her watch. "Speaking of which, I have to meet him in a couple of hours. So, how should I act?" "Just be yourself. Let the guards down a little. One, it will relax him, and two, it will completely throw him off." Gale nodded, taking a bite of her sandwich. Dominique had a point; she did need to let the guards down a little. She couldn't work with him and have a chip on her shoulder. It was a little draining, especially with all the hotel stuff they'd been doing. Just the other day, they'd finished looking at paint samples and made arrangements for the rooms to be painted by James and some others. Now they had a couple of places to visit to look at some furniture, and he'd already begun interviewing a couple of cooks for the restaurant in the hotel. Everything was moving so fast, and she was happy with that because it kept her busy and her mind off of him. This was the first real moment she'd had to really spend time with her sister and friends since that night they'd kissed. Oh, the kiss! In the brief moment that their lips had connected, all of the buried emotions and everything that she'd truly denied had surfaced, rushing back into her heart. She realized now that that's what she'd been so afraid of. That everything that she'd held at bay for so long would come out with a simple touch, a kiss. After that she'd spent most of her nights thinking about how his body had felt pressed against hers again. It'd been the most wonderful, and yet painful, feeling she'd had in a long time. Her heart still clenched, aching indecisively. "So, what's going on with the place?" Katrina asked, breaking Gale's musings. "Well, it's being painted now, so we're going to look at furniture to put in the rooms." "Are you guys ahead of schedule?" Dominique asked. "Yes and no. I mean, we lucked out in getting the rooms painted by having Ramon and some others paint." "Oh yea, Nicole said that her and some people she knew from her college would help out," Jade shared. "Really?" "Yea, they said they were going to use it as a paid weekend getaway." "Really, Nicole is out there? I wouldn't think of her as the painting type," Katrina said. "She's trying to come out of her shy shell, even if it's a little," Jade smiled. Gale was about to say something when her phone went off. She looked at it and groaned at seeing his name. "Yes, Mr. Adlam?" "I'm done with my meeting, so I can meet you wherever you are and we can head down there together." "I thought we were going to look at some furniture." "We can do that tomorrow. I already have enough figures in my head, I wanted to take a look at the rooms together and go over what we want to look for. So, tell me where you are and I can bring a car to get you." "No, thank you, I can meet you there." Gale sighed, getting up and laying down some cash. "Gale—" She quickly cleared her throat. "Ms. Young, it makes no sense to take all these cars down there, especially with a bunch of college kids already here. I just pulled up so I can still send a car to come get you and you can ride back with me." "I know whose there and I trust them, mostly, so I will see you there." "I see, you trust them a little more than me." "Don't make this bigger than it needs to be, I will be there in a little bit." Gale hung up and sighed, "I'll see you guys later." "Have fun," Jade said. "And bring my little sister back." "Whatever," Gale smiled, on her way out. She went to her car, got comfortable for the drive, and headed out. Gale knew that Mara was there to watch over the kids while they finished the job. She, at first, had been a little skeptical about having a whole lot of college kids at the hotel. She'd been in that quandary herself and knew where it could possibly lead, if unsupervised. Luckily, there was no one out there that Nicole liked, not that Gale believed for a second that she would take advantage of the situation if she had. She finally pulled into the lot a while later, noticing Patrick had beat her there. 'Good,' she sighed to herself, getting out of her car. She didn't want to ride with him and get stuck in an awkward position, having nothing to say to him and no means of escape if he did. She knew he would have tried to force a conversation and she didn't want that. There'd been a time where they could talk comfortably with each other, now it was just uncomfortable silence. Oh, well, there was no use in reminiscing about the past. She headed towards the front door and heard laughter around the back. What was going on back there? She went around the corner and saw Nicole, Mara, Ramon, and the other kids running and playing around with water guns. What shocked the most was that Patrick actually had a gun in his hands, playing around with them too. Was he really doing this now? It looked like she had to be the voice of reason, again. "Hey, what's going on? Are you guys done?" she asked loudly, and they all turned to her. "Gale, we are just taking a break. Some of the guys brought water guns and balloons," Nicole smiled, her hair basically soaked. "Break?" Gale sighed incredulously. "Come on guys, you have a limited time to finish this whole place. I'm pretty sure that James wouldn't appreciate you fooling around while he's paying you." "Actually, I think James wouldn't mind much," Ramon interrupted. "Really?" Gale said, crossing her arms. "Yes, I mean, I do work with the man so I know how he rolls. I'm pretty sure." "Gale, come on. These guys have been busting their asses all day. They're just having a little fun," Patrick added. "Well, they can have all the fun they want after they are done. I'm sure they don't want to work all through the night." "Actually, we were talking about camping out here tonight," Nicole said. "Nicole, please. I know you are sticking up for your friends but this is ridiculous. Now I know you guys want to have fun but let's go inside and..." She was suddenly cut off when she felt a stream of cold water hit her. Her mouth dropped as she stood there with part of her shirt soaked, the water rapidly seeping down. Gale could see Nicole trying to hide her amusement along with the rest of the crowd, and she clenched her teeth together. "Who did that?!" she demanded, and looked around the crowd. Everyone just kind of shrugged or looked the other way. It wasn't till she looked over at Patrick, who had his gun behind his back looking everywhere but at her, that she figured who had. "Patrick," she clipped. "What?" he crooned, giving her that innocent smile. "I just thought I would help. You seemed like you were overheating and I just wanted to cool you off a little." "Look, I'm not trying to get into these stupid games, we need..." He took the gun from behind his back and blasted her with another stream of cold water. "I thought it would be ridiculous for just the right side of your shirt to be wet." "Very funny, now stop playing around and..." He blasted her again and she could feel her temperature climbing as some of the kids started laughing. Not only was she getting wet, but he still wore that cocky smirk on his face. "I'm telling you to stop!" she shouted. She was blasted with another stream of water, but it didn't come from Patrick. It came from behind her. She turned around and saw Nicole had her gun pointed at her with a smile. "I couldn't resist," she simply said. "Well, he got the front wet, might as well take care of the back," Nicole ended, and everyone started laughing. "Fine, have your little fun." Gale sighed angrily and spun on her heel. Trekking back around to the front of the hotel, she could hear them still laughing as she headed inside. Oh, did they really think that was funny? That damn Patrick thought he could just start all this and get her wet. She looked around the area and saw some water balloons and miniature water guns. She had to stop herself from snickering mischievously, but she smiled to herself as she grabbed them. She filled them all up, put a couple of balloons in her purse, and headed back outside. She saw that they were still messing around when she got back there. Gale put her hands behind her back as she saw her main target shooting at Mara. "Patrick!" she yelled in her most stern voice, and he turned around to face her. "You actually got me all wet and I have somewhere important to be. I can't believe that you will do such a thing!" The smile slowly faded from his face and he shook his head. "Look, Gale, I'm sorry and I..." She didn't give him a chance to finish the sentence as she went ahead and shot him in the face with water. She started to run off as he brought his gun up and continued to shoot in her direction. Excitedly she made her way to Nicole, brought out one of the balloons and threw it at her. "Aww, seriously Gale?!" Nicole laughed as she tried to shoot her. Before she knew it, Gale was running around, playing with everyone and enjoying it. She laughed and smiled along with them. Gale was seriously having more fun than she had in a long time. They ran towards the water still playing and some of the guys started throwing the girls in. It wasn't until they noticed the sun starting to go down that they stopped their festivities. Patrick went ahead and ordered some food to be delivered as they set up tents. She let them know that they could stay inside, but they opted to stay out. After everyone showered and piled back outside, Gale went ahead and took a shower. A smile still played on her lips as she thought about earlier. It'd been so long since she'd been able to let loose like that and it'd felt great. When she got out, there was a robe waiting for her in there. She slipped it on and went downstairs to see Patrick sitting at one of the tables in some blue lounge pants and a white tank top. Okay, maybe she was mad at him, but she was still a woman. She'd always liked his arms. Gale couldn't figure out why at the time, but there was something about seeing his arms that made her fantasize about the next time he would hold her in them. She swallowed hard before joining him at the table. "I'll call you back," he said and hung up the phone. "Hey, I have a spare shirt if you want that. I just figured that the robe would be more of what you wanted." "It's fine. Are my clothes dry?" she asked. "We got them hung up, so we're just waiting on that. They probably won't be really dry till tomorrow morning." "I can't stay here. I have a ton of work to do." "Come on, Gale, it's getting late and you certainly shouldn't be driving back. If you stay then we can get an early start in the morning. You know there's plenty of room here." She sighed, knowing that she was fighting a losing battle. "Alright, fine." "I have a plate that I saved for you, which is a hard thing to do when it comes to those ravenous college kids out there." "Oh, come on, you remember how that was like. How many times did we tear up the mess hall on our first day at the camp?" She smiled and he laughed. "Oh yea, all too familiar, but it was fun." "Yea, it was. I can remember those days, after hours, when all the kids would be sleep and all of the counselors would go out to the lake." "Ugh, don't remind me. I still remember the times when we all played hide and go seek." "I remember those times only because somewhere along the line me and you forgot about the game." "Oh, yea, we forgot the game and just settled on finding a spot to make out." He smiled and Gale just looked off. There was an air of uncomfortable silence before she decided to talk again. "It wasn't all bad. We did have some good times." "We did, you were perfect," he said, and she cleared her throat. "So, how long have you been divorced?" She paused, briefly looking down at her hands. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that." "At least not on an empty stomach," she smiled, and he got up to grab her plate. Gale took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing pulse as he sat the food in front of her. She smiled up at him, quickly diving in as he took his seat across from her. He sat a beer bottle down, looking at her, and she thanked him behind a napkin. "Um, we have been divorced for about a year now." "How did you two meet?" "At one of Tara's parties; we started dating for awhile and then just got married." "I figured you would have had a couple of kids by now." "Me too, but we never got that far. He started cheating and I just couldn't take it anymore." "Well, he wasn't that smart of a man," Patrick said, opening his beer bottle. "Yea, well, he wasn't the only one," she countered, shaking her head. "Well, I deserved that one." She looked up and saw him take a swig. "I...I only half meant it like it sounded," she chuckled. "It's okay. I asked myself the same question." She paused briefly. "Why did you kiss me the other night?" "You know how I am. I've wanted to do that for awhile now and I usually follow through with what I want." "I've been victim to that plenty of times," Gale slightly whispered. "I heard that, and yes you were," he said leering at her. Patrick looked on as she crossed her legs and her eyes shifted away from him. The sudden change only assured him of a couple of things. His eyes roamed her bare, sexy legs that looked as if they still glistened from her shower. They traveled further up to that piece of upper thigh that she'd exposed when she'd crossed her legs. Oh, how he'd lusted after those legs! Patrick nearly groaned aloud as he stared at them. He couldn't count how many times he'd dreamed of having those legs wrapped around him again. He took a deep swallow of his beer as his eyes glided further up to where her robe opened, showing some of her cleavage. His eyes lingered there for a little longer, noticing how her chest rose and fell in quickness. 'She knows I'm watching her,' he thought with a pleasant smile. He loved the way her body reacted when he watched her. The way she always reacted to him, even now when she hated him, was so hypnotic. She cleared her throat and it brought him out of his stupor. "Well, I guess I should..." she started, about to get up. "Were you satisfied?" he asked. "What?" "Were you satisfied? With your husband," he prodded. "We were happy with the relationship," she allowed, looking everywhere but at him. "You're lying to me," he said smoothly, taking another swig. "Excuse me?" "You forget that I do know you Gale, which means I know your body language. So, I will ask you again, were you satisfied with your husband?" Gale just looked at him briefly as his eyes pierced hers and she scoffed. "You know, I don't really have to answer that question because it's none of your business." "I thought we were having a conversation." He shrugged. "No. As much as you know me, I know you. You are trying to bait me into an argument," she said, and was surprised to hear him chuckle. "I'm really trying to know more about what happened after us. I'll tell you what happened between me and my ex-wife." She crossed her arms at that. "I was very unsatisfied. She was willing to do anything that I wanted sexually, but it wasn't enough." "Are you really going to tell me all the freaky things you and that blond bimbo did because, really, I don't want to hear them." "My heart wasn't into those things that I did with her. There was only one person that I enjoyed it with that much." "Are you drunk?" "Not the slightest," he answered, taking another swig. "You keep drinking like that and I may say otherwise," Gale breathed, shaking her head. Her better senses told her to get up and go to bed, but she couldn't get up. "Do you remember how it felt? How I would just look at you from across the room and I knew, in that instant, that you were wet and ready for me? Or how I would kiss that spot on the back of your neck that made your knees quiver?" Gale's pulse quickened as she wet her lips trying not to let his words affect her, but it was too late. She felt the moisture pool between her legs as he stared at her with eyes that seemed to darken, glaze over with unbridled lust, the longer he looked on. "How long has it been Gale?" he asked, leaning closer to her. Her body ached for some sort of release, the release that she had experienced only with him, the kind that made her toes curl and her head swim in pleasure. Patrick had been the one to introduce her to her own body and the numerous pleasures she could experience to fulfill her need—the many pleasures he'd thoroughly administered to fulfill her desires. As Patrick watched her body pull at his words, he could feel his own reminisce. Feel her tight body wrapped around his, their naked limbs coiled. His cock began to stir as he watched her try to hide the fact that she was rubbing her thighs together. How long had it been? Too long. "How long has it been, Gailyn?" he asked again. Realizing she'd had enough of this one-sided conversation, Gale rose. She needed to put some kind of distance between them before she did something she'd regret, eventually. "Come on, Gale, answer the question. How long has it been since you felt that way? Since you had someone that made your toes curl or made you scream." "It's been some time. More specifically, it was the night before you broke my heart." She stared back at him and saw his eyes lighten slightly. Good, throw him off his game. "Now, if you'll excuse me," she retorted, walking pass him to the kitchen, taking his scent with her. His innate male, muscular scent that had always drives her mad. Here she was, hot and bothered, without her vibrator. She grumbled at that. You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 04 Patrick took a deep breath and drunk the last of his beer before siding with his body to follow her upstairs. Besides, her body was already close to giving into his, and her reaction just then proved it more. He peeked in the kitchen and watched as she bent over, searching for something in one of the cabinets. Her backside was up in the air and her robe rose higher, showing the back of her silky thighs. He wet his lips as he threw all caution to the wind. Gale was about to stand at full height when she felt something hard pressed against her. She didn't have to turn around to know what, or specifically, who was behind her. The way her heart pounded in her chest, she knew that he was there. She wanted to turn around but knew what was waiting for her if she did. Her body felt pulled to his. No, she couldn't. She couldn't let her body betray her. She slowly turned around and was met by his dark eyes glaring a hole into her. Her mouth suddenly went dry looking at the way he peered at her. He stared with such intent, like a hungry lion with his meal in sight. She looked away. "Patrick, don't." "Don't what, love?" he whispered leaning in, mere inches from the side of her face. The deep, huskiness of his voice shook her body and landed right between her thighs to her core. She moved her head to eye him again, their lips almost colliding from his nearness. "Don't do what I think you are going to do. We are not together, and you don't have any right," she said, trying to use the best intimidation voice she could muster. Yet, it still didn't do anything to deter what he already had his mind on. "That's true, but what did I tell you when we were younger? Once mine, always mine." As soon as her lips parted in shock, he took that opportunity to seal their lips together. Her body tensed up feeling his tongue thrust and dominate her mouth. Gale felt his body secure the space between them and press hot and hard against hers, forcing her back to the counter as his mouth slanted over hers brutally. Her mind tried to fight the seduction of his lips and tongue, the way his fingers stroked the side of her neck, but her body was on the verge of betraying her and she acknowledged it. Unconsciously her back slightly arched, thrusting her aroused nipples into his solid covered chest, her mind replaying the memories of his kisses and every other form of ecstasy that he'd ever delivered. In that moment she realized she couldn't fight it anymore, it'd be futile to deny her body what it hungered. Wrapping her arms around his neck, Gale molded her body to his, returning his onslaught feverishly. If Patrick could jump out of his skin in joy, it would be at this very moment. He grabbed her hair, pulling it back to attack the sensitive spot under her chin. Her gasp came out as a moan and she felt her head spiraling as he sucked on her flesh. Some things never change, he smiled to himself on the inside as he used his other hand to push away slightly and open her robe. Inhaling, he mentally prepared himself and moved back somewhat to look down at her naked physique. Gale swallowed as she saw how keenly he looked at her. The way he stared started to make her feel a little prickly. She knew she'd gained a couple of pounds since the last time he'd seen her, so, yea, her body had changed. "Still perfect," he whispered, looking into her eyes. "You're still perfect," he sighed into her mouth, this time taking time to savor her lips, every precious crevice. 'Still perfect?' He always knew the right things to say to make her heart soar. His body heat flashed through his tank top and made her want to feel their naked bodies pressed tightly together once again. Made her crave to feel her breasts crushed against his chest. As if reading her mind, he went ahead and took off his shirt throwing it on the counter. She didn't get to feel him pressed against her however. Instead, Patrick lifted her up onto the countertop, sitting her behind near the edge. Her nipples were directly in his line of vision and he took that opportunity to flick his long tongue at one of the hardened buds. Gale licked her lips deliriously, feeling her eyes roll close and her mouth go dry at his blitz. He'd always loved her breasts; they weren't ridiculously huge, but big enough for him. They felt so firm, yet soft, the weight delicious in his calloused hands. Patrick gave the same attention to her other breast, making sure to blow on it lightly. He was so hard that it was excruciating. The heady scent of her arousal made him dizzy; made him realize how much closer he was to what he'd desired for way too long. He needed a taste. He gently pushed her pliant body down on the counter and kneeled, placing one of her shapely legs over his shoulder. He could see the wetness coating her nether lips and it made his mouth water. Oh, how he'd missed this part, he pondered as he scanned every inch of the delectable treat in front of him. For some reason, the sight of him looking at her so hungrily turned her on even more. She couldn't wait to feel his tongue. Gale was ready to feel all of him again. Yes, she shouldn't feel this way, want him as badly as she did, but there was no turning back now. He let his finger trail down her nether lips slowly, making her back arch off the counter. Gale had always been so responsive to him. Patrick smiled and used two of his fingers to open her up so he could taste her once again. Her taste was a pleasant memory that had haunted him over the past years. She tasted so sweet, just like he remembered. He grabbed onto her thighs and pulled her closer to his greedy mouth, feasting on her like a starved man who'd gone without for far too long. With the way he held her firm, Gale realized she couldn't squirm away from his crafty tongue even if she'd wanted to. It felt so good, a little too good. It'd been so long since she'd been with any man in this position, since she'd felt his tongue sucking and loving on her. Her mouth flew open, no sounds coming forth as he ravished her. Uncontrollably her pelvis ground against his face as that familiar build up surged through her, making her toes curl. 'Yes!' she screamed inside her head. 'Yes, yes, yes!' It was just as she'd remembered and more. She felt his tongue curl in a way that made her body jerk upward, her hooded eyes looking down at him before collapsing back onto the counter. "Oh shit!" she moaned, feeling him curl his tongue again. Now, that was new. Gale was so close to her release that she could taste it, but suddenly he pulled away. She groaned in frustration, looked at him with that cocky smile and stopped herself from swearing. Before she could get another thought across, he grabbed her face and kissed her once again, making her taste herself. His erection was so hard between their bodies and she knew it had to be painful; he needed his own release, too. His strong arms drew her slowly from the counter on weak knees. Pulling away from her, he gazed into her eyes as if to let her know that she had options. She could still stop him, Patrick enlightened to her with his eyes. But she'd have to do it now. If she waited any longer, he couldn't promise that he would be able to control himself. Keeping his eyes locked with hers, awaiting any sign that she wanted things to end, he slid his damp hands underneath the fabric of her robe and slipped it off her shoulders. Gale felt it puddle at her feet as she silently begged him for more. He turned her around, her back to his front, and she braced herself against the counter. Patrick quickly released his throbbing shaft, ready to plunge home, but he was able to manage a little coherent thought. "Pill?" he simply inquired. She could do nothing but nod the affirmative. "Good," he sighed, taking his hot member in his palm and slowly easing himself inside of her. Gale's nails dug into the wooden countertop as she felt him stretch her. It was almost as if her body sensed that it was him inside of her and welcomed the invasion. When every inch of him was completely seated inside of her, he felt her pussy tighten around him and they sighed in unison. Every bit of her felt divine. It'd been much too long since he'd felt her sheath wrapped around him like a glove. Much too long since he'd felt the way he did now with any woman. Already his control was in the vicinity of his breaking point. Feeling embarrassed and like an untried teenager, he groaned, knowing he wouldn't last long. Gale bit down on her bottom lip as he started to move inside of her, feeling the delicious friction. She arched back against him, whimpering as his grip fastened on her hips and he plunged in and out her of. Soon the room filled with her constant moans and the sound of their bodies slapping vigorously against each other. Patrick had always known how to please her. Already she was close to that much needed release she'd been craving for so long. It was so close she could taste it; and what a glorious taste it would be. It'd been a long time since she'd felt a man's hands on her body like this. A long time since she'd truly felt like a desirable woman. He rubbed his hands up her back smoothly and fisted her hair, roughly tugging her head aside to sink his teeth into her shoulder. Gale shrieked from the pleasure of him dominating her body. The way only he could. Shuddering, her body started to spiral almost instantly, from her head and then escalating all the way down to her toes. Not wanting to let this end, but knowing it would soon, his arms clamped down on her waist, forcing her closer to him still. He rapidly quickened his pace, pumping into her molten heat a few more times before his balls tightened and he found his own release, spilling himself deep inside of her. They stayed like that for a while with him holding onto her, for dear life it seemed. He didn't want the moment to end. He didn't want to go back to her giving him the cold shoulder. Patrick wanted his Gale back. Sure that she wouldn't be able to stand otherwise, Gale was glad that he held her up. Getting that overdue release just made her extremely tired, she wanted to sleep. She wanted to get underneath some covers and curl up in his arms like she used to. Wanted to pretend like the outside world didn't matter, and that it was just them like before. Just Patrick and Gale, like it always had been when they were together. But, they couldn't go back to that. She couldn't go back to that. Patrick kissed her shoulders and back, tasting any part of her his tongue could reach until her body went limp, melting into his. With reluctance he pulled out, already missing their intimacy. She tried every trick she could to keep her eyes open as his arms held her fast against him, but the warmth from his body swiftly started to lull her to sleep. Feeling safe in his arms, she felt her body relax completely against his and snuggle comfortably to him before her eyes promptly closed and sleep claimed her. "Gale! Where are you?!" She heard the annoying shout of her baby sister. "Nicole, give me five minutes," she mumbled. Nicole?! Her head shot up at the realization that her baby sister was still there. She looked around to find herself alone in the bedroom, but could still hear Nicole near. Did last night really happen? As soon as she tried to move and felt the familiar ache in between her legs, she knew it had. Fuck, she thought as she tried to hurry out of bed, despite aches. She pulled the sheet over her body, looking around for her clothes. She found them neatly folded on one of the dressers. She could hear Nicole coming closer and rushed to put them on. As soon as she got her shoes on, she opened the door and was face to face with Nicole. "Good morning," Nicole blew out in shock, but had a smile hidden. "Hey, any reason you're yelling my name all over the place?" Gale asked, walking pass her. "Well, Patrick said that he should be back any minute with some breakfast. I thought you would have snuck away last night." "No, after seeing how late it was, I decided to just stay here. You guys did a great job around here," Gale praised, taking in some of the paint job. "I figured you would be proud. We're almost finished, just have one more spot left, but the guys are taking care of that." Nicole cleared her throat as they headed downstairs. "So, you were able to sleep in the same building as Patrick? Did you guys talk?" Gale almost tripped over her feet, but played it cool. "Why do you think my life is supposed to be this whole Lori Foster romance story?" Gale smiled. "I've already seen it happen with Jade and now you are next. I'm the only boring one." "Well I told you to start going out with other guys to keep your mind off Mr. Wonderful." "Well, someone did ask me out last night and I said yes." "Look at you!" Gale said nudging her. "Which one was it? I thought I saw one of them had his eye on you." "His name is Marcus. He's a junior, and getting ready to pledge. He seems really nice. The only thing I don't like is that he's not taller. You know, my dream guy is taller than me and..." Nicole trailed off as they stepped in front of the kitchen. "Nicole, if you keep comparing every guy to your dream guy, you are never going to get a date that fulfills you." "Well, I want to tell you something private but you can't tell anyone." "Ooh secrets." Gale pulled Nicole to the side, away from the giggling girls in the kitchen. "Give it to me." "Don't sound so excited. Anyway, it's not a secret; it's just a feeling of how far I should go with this thing between me and this guy." "Can I get a name for this guy? I don't like referring to him as 'this guy.'" "No, you can't." "Why not?" "Because." "Is he ugly? Are you embarrassed by him?" "No, because you will be mad; especially after you kept hassling Jade about James." "Don't tell me you got a military man, too," Gale sighed, leaning against the wall. "No, he is not in the military." "Well then why would I..." Gale paused, "He's not black?" Nicole just shook her head. "Oh, hell, girl, I'm over that. You know when I said all that stuff to Jade; I was in a bad place back then. It's not like that anymore. I mean, you guys see my ex." "Okay, but there are other things that go into it that I don't really want to go into right now. He is a good guy though." "Now you have me worried," Gale said, arching her eyebrow. "Anyway, I think this 'like thing' is getting out of hand. Normally when I...you know..." Nicole hinted. "Girl, you are almost twenty years old. If you can't say it by now, then you will have a bigger problem when it really happens." Nicole huffed and Gale couldn't help but smile. "Usually, when I masturbate," she said the last part as if it was hard for her to finally spit it out, "I usually think about someone famous like: Trey Songz, Morris Chestnut or Justin Timberlake, the usual. Well now, I think about him and it seems more exciting and a lot more intense." She smiled. "What is this guy's name?" Gale asked and Nicole just looked away shyly. "Seriously, he must be fine to make you forget about Justin Timberlake, I remember those Nsync days." "So, it's not weird?" "Hell no, it's perfectly healthy. I mean, you'll probably do that more now because he is someone who is attainable and I'm guessing someone you see almost every day. So, yes, you are a normal woman. Now we have to just burst through that pesky virgin thing, which, believe me, I am not rushing you." "Thanks. You know, Gale, I'm glad you came and spent the night. You seem a lot calmer now." Gale cleared her throat trying not to look uncomfortable. "Thanks." "Did you put on makeup? You seem like you are glowing." "Um, yea, you know just a little blush. Let's get some breakfast," Gale quickly said, ready to change the subject. Her nice little sister, Gale thought fondly. It was a good thing that it was Nicole that noticed and not Jade. Jade would have already assumed the truth. The truth being that she let her hormones get the best of her, which lead to Patrick and her... Oh goodness, she actually had sex with him. She'd replayed the whole moment so much that she had dreamed about it that night. He'd just caught her in a moment of weakness, that's all. A moment that felt so good that it made her body sing. She went in the kitchen and saw some of the girls gathering around talking. Gale spotted Mara in the back on her laptop and went to sit next to her. "Good morning." "Good morning; how was your night?" Mara asked, not looking up from the screen. Gale just cleared her throat. "It was good. The bed was pretty comfortable. I can't wait to start decorating the rooms and getting that ambiance of the different fantasies." "Yea, I'm not really into the decorating or anything like that. I'm ready for the finishing product." "So, you are going to visit?" "Hell, yea. I got to have some place to take whoever I'm dating. Plus, I think with the location, and as much hype as we are already getting on this place, it's going to be a big success." "Already?" "Yea, when Patrick puts his mind on something that he wants, he will get it done and make sure that it's unbelievable." Gale knew all too well about his determination. "By the way, how was he last night?" Gale immediately felt her breath get stuck in her throat and started choking. Some of the girls looked over her way and she quickly swallowed hard, smiling at them. "I don't know what you are talking about," Gale whispered. "Oh, please. The fact that you're whispering to me, and the little choking session is evidence of the truth." "He told you?" "No, I just know that goofy luck he has on his face when he gets laid, and he had it this morning before he left, whistling." Gale swallowed hard and looked off. "I'm glad you guys had fun though, but now you know we have to get a new bed." "No, we don't. I will take care of it. It was just a onetime slip that's all. It didn't mean anything." "You don't have to tell me anything about what you think you feel, that's between you and Patrick. I'm just mad that you cheated on me and all." Mara looked off. Gale couldn't help but to laugh, "Oh Mara, I'm sorry, but I like dick too much to give up cold turkey." "Apparently with Mr. Irish setter man around. And looks like things are about to get interesting, he just pulled up." Gale turned towards the window and saw him pulling in. Her palms started to sweat and her throat went dry. She could handle this, she thought, straightening her back as he walked in. "I have returned," Patrick announced. "Food!" the kids said in harmony, almost ready to rush him. They started to tear open the bags, grabbing a plate and hurrying to a seat. Gale watched them sit around the table and front counter, eating and talking. Some of the other guys walked in with Ramon. "Hey, Ramon, I came back with breakfast," Patrick spoke, gesturing towards the food. "Thanks, man, I appreciate that. We finally finished up, so we just need to clean up all the papers and everything." "Don't worry about that, you sit down and eat. I'm not going to give you back to James starving." Patrick smiled and Ramon returned the smile before joining the others. She could definitely smell the sweet smell of fresh pancakes and sausage. Gale didn't need that, she thought. She was really trying to watch how much she ate. As soon as her brain proclaimed that, her stomach growled in protest. She was about to leave when a plate appeared in front of her. She looked up and saw Patrick holding it in front of her. "I'm on a diet." "Eat, Gale, you are perfect the way you are." Her heart started to pound at his words. She took the offered plate and opened it up. You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 04 "Where's mine?" Mara asked, looking at him. "You know where the rest of them are," he said unperturbed, and she growled. "I swear that's why I switched sides," she grumbled getting up and walking towards the counter. Gale dove in, relishing in the fluffy eggs. She tried, unsuccessfully, to engross herself in her food so that she wouldn't be fazed by him sitting next to her. "Good?" he asked, and she nodded. "I found this little diner. Imagine their faces when I told them how much food I wanted." He chuckled and Gale nodded. "Um, what happened last night?" He paused. "After," she quickly cleared up. "You fell asleep against me, and I carried you to bed. I fell asleep with you." She sighed. "Gale, you don't have to feel all weird." "I don't. I mean, you just caught me when I was vulnerable and horny, that's it," she swore, clearing her throat. Patrick's eyes widened and, to her surprise, he chuckled. "I caught you when you were vulnerable?" Gale couldn't even look at him; she kept her focus on her plate as she poked at the food. "Gale, come outside with me." He rose and offered his hand. "I want to finish my food." "Gale, come outside with me, now," he murmured, in a low, even tone that let her know he meant business. She would go outside with him. Not because he told her to, but because she wanted some fresh air. Yea, she would keep telling herself that. She followed him outside and noticed the vein on the side of his forehead pop. Oh, he was mad. Good, anger was good. That way she wouldn't have to think about last night. Once they were far enough away from the hotel, he turned to face her. "What do you mean I caught you when you were vulnerable?" Though he kept his voice low and appeared calm, she noted that his vein jumped. "We were talking about sex and everything. I haven't had sex for awhile, so, yes, I was a little horny." "No, that's not you, Gale. You don't just give yourself to someone unless you want to." "You're right, I wanted to." "You wanted to have sex with me. Don't give me any bullshit about 'you just wanted to have sex' because you could have sex with any man, including your husband, but we both know you wanted to because it was me." "Oh, don't be so proud of yourself," she offset, folding her arms underneath her breasts. "We just did what we did because we got caught up in the moment. Nothing has changed between us. We are not together, there isn't even an 'us.'" "Gale, I regret everyday what I did to you. Every day," he reiterated, gravely. "It's because you are guilty." "No, because I was a coward." Coward? What did he mean by coward? "What are you talking about?" she asked seriously, and he sighed rubbing the back of his neck. Patrick knew he needed to tell her, but he didn't know how to say it without making it sound as bad as it sounded—was, now that he thought it over again. "Remember when you came to meet my family?" She remembered it very well actually. She'd been so nervous when she'd met them. His mother had been pretty nice, trying to calm her nerves down. His father however, he'd stared at her with no emotions and was quiet, too quiet. She'd felt like he didn't really care for her, but she hadn't understood why. And Patrick had told her not to worry about it. "I told my parents about our engagement and my dad blew up. He didn't want me to marry you. I told him that I didn't care about what he wanted and that I was going to marry you. He threatened to pull my trust fund and kick me out the family. That was including the deposit we'd made on the house. He said he had friends here, so he could, and would, mess up any chance for a new position for you. He said he would leave us broke and with nothing if I married you." Gale's heart stopped. "Why?" She felt her tears on the brink of falling. "Gale, I don't want to..." "Why? What did he say?" He sighed, running his hand down his face. "He said, girls like you we bed, but we don't bring them into our world. He wanted me to marry the other girl because if our families merged it would be a great business deal." Gale's lips quivered, but she wasn't going to cry in front of him. She'd be damned if she let him have anymore of her tears. She swallowed hard. Now it made sense. All those things that he'd spouted, it was from his father. She thought knowing why he'd truly left her would make her feel better, but it didn't. "Gale, I'm so sorry. I didn't want to hurt you, but I couldn't let what you'd worked so hard for die. I wanted to give you everything that I could and take care of you. I couldn't take care of you with nothing. I love you too much to do that to you." "But you could stomp on my heart, say those awful things, and marry someone else." She swallowed and Patrick looked like he was ready to die. Good. "It's not like that," he tried to assure her. "I wanted to protect you." She nodded and started to walk off. "Don't leave, Gale, please. I thought I was doing the right thing for you. I just wanted the best for you." "Or was it the best for you? I know what it's like to be almost homeless and have no money. I had to help my mom take care of my younger sisters. Nothing about your money ever attracted me to you. What I felt was for you, the man. I mean, look at what you have built on your own and what I've built on my own. We could have done it because you had the drive to do it. I think I understand why you did it, but the right thing would have been for you to have believed in us." You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 05 Gale kept thinking back to what Patrick told her. His father didn't want him to marry a girl like him. She knew there was something going on with his dad because he wasn't social with her at all. He just fired off a bunch of questions about her family and what she planned on doing for the future. She just thought he was being overprotected but she was nothing but nice to him. She figured his mom would at least stuck up for her, but nothing; not even Patrick. After she told her, she went ahead and left the place going back to her house just to clear her head. She was torn a little though. She saw the vulnerable look in his eyes as he talked about how he thought he was doing all this for her. It made her let her guard down just a little bit more, but it still hurt the fact that he didn't stick by her. The other problem as she knew her body; once she got a taste of Patrick, she would want more. She needed to get her head straight. When she finally got some free time, she found herself in front of Dominique's door waiting for her to come open it. "Gale, what's going? Are you alright?" Dominique asked as soon as she saw her. "Hey, I need to talk to you for a minute." "Sure, come in." Dominique said moving inside as Gale followed her. She followed Dominique to the living room and Dominique eased down on the couch. Gale smiled to herself as she sat on the opposite side. "Okay, what's on your mind?" "I just needed someone to talk to and I didn't want to go to my sisters, because I know how they are. I didn't know who else to turn to and I know, you're not a therapist anymore, but I really need your help just to understand some things because I'm so confused." Gale was rambling to a point where she felt tears streaming down her face. Dominique reached her hand out to her, "It's okay, Gale. You can talk to me." The simple touch calmed her slightly and she took a deep breath, "You know that I've been working with Patrick and I found out why he broke up with me. His father didn't like me because of the type of girl I was. Also, he told him that if he didn't break up with me; he would pull all his money and pretty much leave us broke. I just couldn't believe it." Dominique nodded, "Were you content with the reason that he gave you in the beginning?" Gale blinked for a minute looking over at Dominique, "I don't know, I would have been better thinking that he didn't love me other than the fact that he was a coward." "Gale, be honest, you weren't happy with that reason either. It tore you apart." "Yes it did, but, am I not worth whatever money he has? I mean Patrick is smart and driven, so am I; couldn't we both build what we had together. Yea, it would have been hard but we would have been together and everything would have been different." "I understand, really I do. There was a lot of mistakes that he made, but the important part of this is to still forgive him for it." "Yea I know, I know. It's for my benefit more than his." Gale said rolling her eyes. "Yes, because you didn't forgive the first time and it turned you into a bitter woman. I know that it hurts for someone you love to say those things to you and I'm sure he regrets it everyday. You have to forgive him and he has to forgive himself. Now after that's done, then the both of you can move forward. I'm not saying that you will be together but whatever becomes of it will be good for the both of you." Gale sighed, sitting back in her seat, "I don't know about this. I mean I know that you are right, I really do, but there is just so many thing I want to say to him and I'm angry but at the same time..." she trailed off. "Gale, do you still have feelings for Patrick? I can't after all this time." "It's okay to admit; just because you have feelings for him doesn't mean that you have to get back together with him. Sometimes, what you are going through can be held back emotions and once you release them, then it will become clear if these are romantic feelings or you just holding in emotions. The most important thing is don't let this make you bitter." "I don't even know how to make this work or if I can talk to him. I know the reason but I still feel like asking why." Dominique sighed, "I'm sorry Dominique, I know the reason, but it's so hard to believe." "Wasn't it even harder to believe that he stopped loving you?" Gale looked down at her fidgeting hands, "Any reason that he gives you is not going to sound logical because of everything you two shared with each other. That's the thing with us women we know the reason but we always want to know the extent of the why. Then we try to make it out like maybe there was something wrong with us. When you think like that, it does make you bitter and hardens you. For right now, you still have to work with him, so tell him how you feel and start fresh." "What if unloading everything makes me bitter?" "It won't. The best thing for you to do is tell him how you feel, leave him with right now you are fine, and start over." "You really think this will work and how soon should I do it." "I know it will work and as soon as possible just don't let anything get in your way of making it successful." Gale nodded. She was took a deep breath as they both turned to the doorbell. Dominique was about to get up when Gale beat her too it. "You stay, I'll get it." Gale said. "Thank you. I wasn't expecting anyone but a delivery." Dominique said sitting back. Gale opened the door and for a moment she forgot to breath, "Hey sis...you're not my sister." The tall captivating man said staring at her. "Um, no I'm a friend of hers. You must be Nik's brother?" "Yea, I'm Gianni. I was actually coming to check on Dominique." "I don't need you to check on me every hour Gia!" Gale smiled moving to the side letting him walk in. "Have I told you how much I hate it when you call me that?" he said walking into the living room. "You have and that's why I'm the only one that can call you that." She smiled, "I'm fine seriously. If I don't have you coming by, I have Nik calling every 30 minutes, my Aunt Crystal and your mom, and my mom calling every hour. Not to mention my brother popping up too." "Hey, this is your first kid. As a member of the family we have every right to make a fuss over you and check on you. Besides, what else do I have to do?" he said sitting on the edge of the couch next to Dominique. "How is the club going?" "Oh, I'm just waiting a couple more papers to sign and then get ready for opening. I just left from the building." "Club? What club?" Gale said standing in the living room doorway. "Gianni is starting a jazz club around here." Dominique beamed. "Oh I love jazz. Will there be live singers?" "Yep, some friends of mine that's helping me find some. You should drop by when I start it, you can be my personal guest." He said smiling. Gale couldn't pin point it but something about that smile he flashed her made her smile widen, "Gale, don't you have something that you need to do?" Dominique quickly said and that brought Gale's attention to the situation. "Oh right, I do have some work to do. Thanks for talking to me." "No problem. Let me know how that goes." Dominique said. Gale smiled back at Gianni just before walking away. Dominique was right; she did have some things that she had to do and she wanted to talk to Patrick. She was about to call him when she heard someone calling her name. She turned around and saw Gianni walking towards her. "Hey, did I forget something?" Dominique said. "Yea, I think you forgot my phone number." He smiled and Gale couldn't help but smile too. "Thanks Gianni, but I'm not entirely sure about hooking up with anyone left. There is a lot going on wit me personal and business wise." She always thought honesty was the best policy. "No I understand, but you're new around here and so am I. I figured I could use someone to talk to around here other than my brother and his friends. It's kind of irritating when most of the time all they talk about is their wives." Gale shrugged. "Believe me, I'm the same way with my sister and her friends." "Your sister?" "I'm Jade's older sister." "Oh I didn't know, so that's another thing we have in common. Everyone can use a friend." Gale bit the inside of her mouth contemplating the offer. Friends? Well, what can be wrong with just being friends? Besides having a handsome man like him around can help take her mind off Patrick, "Alright, I'm up for that." She smiled. They exchanged numbers and Gale noticed how Gianni kept staring at her. She shifted uncomfortably. "What's wrong?" she asked. "I'm sorry, but I couldn't notice how beautiful you are. Believe me it's not a line but you are." If Gale could turn bright red she would, "Well thank you Gianni, I'll call you later." Gale hurried inside her car and drove off. She felt slightly bad allowing herself to be sucked into Gianni's words and eyes while still not working things out with Patrick. She really didn't want to start anything, not now anyway. She needed to get everything settled with Patrick. She grabbed her phone and gave him a call. "Hi Gale." Instant shivers went up and down her body hearing her name on his lips. "Hi, I was just giving you a call to..." she lost her words not exactly sure how to come about this. "Gale, are you okay?" "Yea, I'm okay. I think we need to talk." The silence on the other end was deafening, "Alright, do you want to come to my hotel room?" "No, um does your hotel have like a restaurant?" "There's a bar down there that we can meet up at." "Okay, I'll be there in another 20 minutes." She said and hung up. She took a deep breath. She hoped this wasn't going to be as stressful as she think it's going to be. She knew that this was going to be emotional but like Dominique said, this needed to be settled. She needed to let him know everything and that way they can both move on. Twenty minutes later, she found herself in his hotel restaurant waiting on him. He was always fashionably late, she thought shaking her head. She looked towards the door and saw him standing there scanning the room. It was like instantly he saw her and started walking to the table. Her heart jumped in her chest watching his eyes zeroed in on her. When he finally reached the table, he smiled at her, "Did you order anything?" he asked. "Just some tea, I'm not really that hungry." "Okay, what's going on?" he said sitting down folding his hands together. "I want to talk about us and the other night." He nodded, "That night was..." "Incredible?" he finished and she looked away. "It was good, but there are some things that need to be settled between us. I mean it hurts a little to know that the reason that we didn't work was because your dad didn't like me." "I know and I can't give you any explanation other than to say I'm sorry." "That's the thing Patrick. It's a little too late for sorry." He looked down at his hands and looked back up, "I mean you left me in front of the house that I thought was ours and didn't even look back, saying the most hurtful things I ever hear you say." "You think it was easy for me to say those things? It took everything in me to not go back and apologize to you." "But you didn't. It took you nearly 10 years to come back and say you're sorry. You don't know what I been through with you leaving like that. It makes me think that everything that we went through was for nothing." "It wasn't; Gale everything I felt for you was as real back then as it is right now." Her mouth went dry at the declaration and she looked down, afraid to look into his eyes, "What do you mean real now?" "Do you think everything that I felt for you could just go away? Everything I felt for you back then I still feel now and I'm sorry for what I done to you. I'm sorry for being an asshole and not fighting for you. You're right, I was a coward, but I didn't know how to make it and give you everything." Gale thought about what she been holding on to and felt her eyes misting over, "We didn't need everything. All we need was you." Patrick's eyebrows drew together as he stared into her eyes, trying put together what she was saying but his heart already knew, "We?" his voice trembled. Gale sighed, "I was pregnant at the time and I just found out. I was going to tell you that night but that's when everything happened." Patrick's mouth was partially open and looked off, running his hand down his face. Gale swallowed hard waiting for him to say something. "So um..." he cleared his throat again, "What? You should have told me." Gale shook her head, "I wanted to and I tried." "Tried? You tried..." his words died off and he ran his hand down his face, "Upstairs." "What?" Gale said drawing her eyes together. "We need to really talk and I don't want to get loud or whatever while I'm around people so upstairs now." She agreed only for the simple fact that any reaction the both of them showed in front of people would be bad for the hotel. She followed him up to the room in silence. She wondered what was going through his head as she saw his jaw tense up and fist balled at his side. He was about to busy. Usually when Patrick gets like this, he would close his eyes and try to calm down, but she wasn't sure what he was doing. As soon as they got inside the room, the room was still filled with their deafening silence. Patrick collapsed against the arm chair as Gale cautiously sat on the sofa, waiting for it. She started doubting that maybe she should have kept this from him, maybe it would have been better to bury this. "You...you were pregnant?" he finally said looking up at the ceiling. "Yes, I was." "And, what happened?" Gale licked her lips not sure where to start, "What happened?!" he shouted and Gale nearly jumped out her skin. "I was so mad and hurt. I could barely eat or sleep. I kept calling your phone for months. Finally someone picked up and told me to stop calling and that you were happy. They told me that I can't mess up your life. Shortly after that, I woke up feeling so sick and dizzy. When I pulled the covers back and saw the blood, I knew I lost the baby." Gale said choking on the last words feeling the tears stream down her face. She remembered that day as if it just happened. There's was so much blood and the small bump that she had was gone. She remembered screaming so loud that her mother burst through the doors frantic. Mom didn't want her sisters to know so she sent them over to her friend's house while they went to the hospital. Patrick pushed out of the chair pacing the room, millions of thoughts storming his mind. Pregnant? She was pregnant with his child? And he wasn't there. He remembered he thought he lost that phone and had to get a new one. Who would have had the phone? Who would have talked to her? Someone knew and he didn't do anything about it. She went through it alone. His child; the child he always envisioned having with her. She said someone told her to stay away, who did she talk to? He bit down on his lip as the redness clouded his vision. He couldn't help but see her crying all alone as she realized the baby was gone, crying at the thought that he didn't love her anymore. He did this, it really was all his fault. "FUCK!" he shouted and before he could stop himself he punched at the wall. Gale's mouth dropped at the outburst. She never saw Patrick lose his cool, he always tried to be so in control. He slumped down to the floor not saying a word. It wasn't till she saw the red liquid on his knuckles that she snapped out of her haze. She rushed to the bathroom, wet a towel, and return back to him. He didn't look at her as she gently grabbed his hand dabbing at it. "I should have been there." He finally said, his voice shaky, "I shouldn't have left you. I could have..." he trailed off, "Everything that happened it really is my fault." Gale sighed wiping away the tears, "I didn't tell you this to make you feel guilty." "Well too late for that." "Patrick, I held on to that anger and with everything that happened the other night and then hearing about your dad; I can't be like that anymore. I think our paths crossed again to finally get over this and move on." "I see why you hate me." "I didn't hate you. I was disappointed in you, but I could never hate you and you shouldn't hate yourself." She lifted his head looking into his red eyes. "Easier said than done right now. God, Gailyn; I'm so sorry. If I would have know I would have came back here no matter what." "With no regrets?" "No regrets what so ever. I wish I could have been more of the man that I should have been for you." Gale sighed and she felt like a huge boulder was lifted off her body giving her the opportunity to stand up a little stronger. She dabbed at Patrick's hand feeling him flinch a little but his face didn't show any signs of the pain. "Well, I hope it's not broken. I think you should go down to the emergency room and let them look at it." "I don't really feel up to it." "Patrick, don't play this macho man bullshit. You need to have that looked at, now either you do it willingly or I will drag you by your ear." She said looking into his eyes but he saw the hidden smile in them. She always threatened him with that when she wanted him to do something. "Alright then, you are coming right?" "I suppose so." She shrugged, "Just in case I need to witness you crying like a baby when the doctor wraps you up." He chuckled lightly, relishing in her banter. His girl was coming back. This was the Gale he remembered. He didn't care how long it took but he was going to make it up to her and win her back. She couldn't believe after telling him everything how much she was really enjoying this job. Patrick made it easier without the constant flirting just more of him being himself; which was still a little flirty but not as extreme. She did enjoy the nice little flowers that he would send her even after she assured him that he didn't have to go to this extreme. The supplies were coming in so fast that they were thinking that it could open ahead of schedule. Since then, Gale has been talking to Gianni more lately. It has been very refreshing to talk to him. She likes that he makes her laugh with little to no effort. He asked her a couple of times her opinion on certain things to add to the club and she helped him out. She didn't mind helping him, especially listening to some of the things that he has gone through. They have hung out a couple of times at the restaurant and she has came by where his new club was going to be to look around. Yea it was nice having Gianni around, it also helped to take her mind off the hunger her body was feeling for more of Patrick. Damn, she knew this was going to happen! Every time she felt him close to her or even when she went into the kitchen, her body would clench with the memory. She couldn't be thinking about going down that road again with Patrick, not after everything that has happened between the two of them. Good gracious, she had to get this under control. Gale had just got off the phone with Mara when she saw Patrick walking into her office leaning against the wall. "Hey you." She smiled. "Hey, what's going on?" "Oh nothing, I just got through ordering a couple of supplies for the dining area, which you still want it small and intimate, right?" "You got it." He smiled as he crossed his arms in front of his chest, "Not much room for anything else." "Well, yea but it's really coming together. I mean yea it's just going to have like ten rooms but with the setting and everything, it's going to be huge." You Will Be Mine..Again Ch. 05 "Nice to see you really excited about it." I usually do when I finally start seeing it come together. It's like when a musician sits in front of a keyboard and doesn't know what he is going to write but starts playing a bunch of notes. But when they finally hear it and see where it is going, you just get excited. Is there something wrong?" "No, I just wanted to drop off part of your pay." "Oh, I thought Mara usually handles all that stuff for you." "She does, but I told her I will deliver it since I was heading this way." "You just happened to head this way?"she said looking at him and he just shrugged, "Well, thanks. I needed this anyway." she said as he handed her the envelope. "No, I just wanted to drop off part of your pay." "Oh, I thought Mara usually handles all that stuff for you." "She does, but I told her I will deliver it since I was heading this way." He said as she took it from him. "Well I definitely appreciate money." Gale said with a smile and he returned the smile. She looked down at his bandage hand. He didn't tell her if it still hurt or anything. He didn't say much about that night when they talked. In a way, she wanted to know what was going through his mind, but she didn't want to push him. She took the check and went back to her desk with him still standing by the door. "So, what's up?" she asked. "Nothing, I had some free time and wanted to see if there was anything that I had to okay or sign for the hotel." "Um, not really. Everything is being shipped over now. I talked to Mara about hiring some people to move them in so we can keep ahead of schedule." "I know; I have my publicist already advertising the place. It should be a matter of time before it opens." "I know; it's going to be exciting." "I was thinking of having your sister, friends, and their husbands come to spend the opening there for free to test it out." "I think that's a great idea. I talked to some of the chefs that Jade recommended and we have a taste test with them next week." He nodded, "Look Gale, I again wanted to say thank you for everything that you have done so far. I couldn't have done this without you." Gale smiled, "Don't mention it, just keep paying me." Patrick shook his head chuckling. "You are one in a million, Gale." "You always told me that." She said shaking her head. He nodded, "You're right, I did." He stepped in and that's when Gale really started to really pay attention to him. She never thought that the loudest sound in the world would be the door closing. She swallowed hard as he leaned against the closed door. She pasted on a smile and started gathering her things. She didn't know why, but this was making her a little nervous. She didn't mind being alone with Patrick, but something inside her pulled to him every time they were alone for too long. She cleared her throat as he stood in front of her desk. "So, how is your mom? I have wondered about her." "She's good, we are suppose to go down there soon to visit. I know she said she is working on planting a garden." "Does she hate me too?" Patrick said sitting on the couch. Gale sighed, shaking her head as he kept his eyes on her, "Patrick, I told you before, no one hates you." "You did, didn't you?" "I wanted to. Believe me I did, but I couldn't." "What was you husband like Gale? Just wondering." She was a little taken aback by that question. She never really wanted to discuss her ex with another ex, especially Patrick, but she suppose it was about time for it. "Well, um Derrick was a pretty good guy in the beginning. He was nice and stable, just what I needed at the time. We dated for about 8 months before he proposed to me. A little after we got married and my business was really taking off, he started to change a little bit. We weren't as affectionate or loving anymore. He was hardly home and I could tell he looked at the marriage more as a chore then an actual relationship. I knew in my heart, he was cheating, but I didn't want to admit it to myself." "Why?" Gale looked over at Patrick as she saw that soft look he had in his eyes when he wanted her to push through and keep going. It was a look that always made her feel so calm, "I didn't want to fail at this. So, I put on this front like everything was good. It worked until I realized what I did to Jade and then I knew I was ready to change." "Did you really try to sabotage Jade and James relationship, because of the race thing?" "I did, I admit it's not something I'm proud of, but I did it because I figured that's the reason why you dumped me and I was right." "Partially right?" He said pushing out of the seat. "Patrick, you are the one that said your father didn't want you to date a girl like me." "I know what I said but that doesn't mean that it was my reason to break up with you. Hell, if I had it my way, we still would have been together." "I don't want to get into this right now, Patrick." "No, I want you to hear this. I want you." The way those word dripped off his lips held so much meaning that it made Gale's body shake. She pushed the thoughts away. "Patrick, you could have had it your way, but you didn't. Yea, I've forgiven you but it doesn't mean that I'm okay with your decision. You left me standing out in the cold, confused and angry. You made me feel like everything we went through was a lie." "It wasn't. Everything I said to you before that night, I meant Abigail." He started to move closer to Gale which made her step back, " I wanted you from the first time I saw you and I still want you. This thirst I have for you I don't know if it could ever be quenched." "Patrick, what are you doing? "I don't know, I just..." "Well, I need you to know." She said and he stopped in his tracks, "I can't go down this road with you." "Do you love me?" he said reaching out and running his fingers through her hair. She swallowed hard as his touch was like fireworks surging all through her. Her body and heart was ready to say go but she couldn't. She had to get her self control together. "I have love for you Patrick because of everything that we've been through together. That's it." "Your eyes tell me that you are lying." "That's wishful thinking." She quickly retorted. His hand slowly traveled down her arm leaving a burning trail, "Do you know how much it kills me to be this close to you and not touch you the way I want to?" "Then get self control." She was about to walk away but felt something grab her hand. Before she could react, she was pulled to his awaiting lips. She wanted to fight it. In her head, she tried to fight it, but her body was winning this battle as she wrapped her arms around his neck. The sweet swipe of his tongue against her lips drew her body closer to his as if they were going to mesh together. Patrick needed to have more of her. He pulled her against the wall pinning her between it and his hard body. His hands slowly moved down her arms lighting her skin on fire. Her body screamed in need as she felt the moisture between her legs. His hands grabbed hers and pinned them up above her head, breaking the intense connection. She saw his dark eyes as he stared at her chest moving up and down. He held her hands above her head with his bandage hand and moved the other one down her body. Her eyes slightly followed his hands as they touched her and she could only remember how his touch felt without the barrier of clothing. She sighed as his mouth attached to her neck making her quiver. Her head was so clouded with desire that she couldn't form any coherent thought but focus on how good it felt to feel him once again. Why did he always make her react this way? His free hand pulled up her skirt as he finally broke the clothes barrier and touched her bare thigh. She moaned lightly as his clever fingers traveled up between her legs. She could feel his heavy breathing against her neck as his fingers grazed the thin material. He nearly came in his pants as he felt her wetness seeping through to his fingers. "So sweet." He whispered in her ear before he nibbled on her lobe. "Patrick, please." She breathed. She wasn't sure what she was pleading for. She knew he needed to stop but her damn body kept begging him to keep going. No, she had to stop him; she just had to before she really felt his magic fingers. She took a couple of deep breaths to calm down her racing heart. "Patrick please, stop." The words came out as a whisper but he still heard them. "What's that, Gailyn?" he asked looking up at her. "Stop, I can't...we can't. We shouldn't do this." He searched her eyes gauging how serious she was. She was finally able to breathe as he stepped away from her. She nearly felt like her arms were stuck up there. "What's the matter?" he asked. "I'm not going to sleep with you in my office." "Well I can't think of a better spot." He said turning the side of his mouth up into a grin. "Patrick, I'm not going down this road again." "Gale, I know..." "No, you don't know. I admit that I really do forgive you but we are friends. That's all I can give you now." He sucked in his bottom lip looking away. He looked so much like a kid when he does that, but she quickly swallowed the feeling to gush over him. "You're right Gale. It's just when I get around you, I tend to lose my head. I mean, you have a way of just bringing that side of me out." He smiled and she couldn't help but laugh. "Well, reel it in. I know I'm so irresistible." "You know that how?" he said putting some distance between them. "You are the one that use to tell me." She reminded and he nodded. "That I did, but as I recall, you said the same thing. So, are you saying this old man has lost some of his charm?" "Whatever Patrick, you know you can still get any woman that you want. All you have to do is smile and you have them in your grasp." He looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "Except me, because it already worked once before." "So, you're saying I have to step up my game?" "Just being serious now, Patrick, what has really changed between then and now? I'm still the same girl that your father didn't want you to associate with." He sighed leaning against the wall, "Gale, I kick my own ass everyday regretting that decision." "So, am I a challenge? Trying to see if you can make me feel the same way I felt that day?" "No damn it, I'm still in love with you." He said looking dead in her eyes. Gale's mouth opened and quickly closed it. This was the second time he said that. She tried to block it out the first time but it still made her head spin. Her heart started beating out of control and she placed her hand over her heart to somehow quiet it. She took a deep breath and just swallowed hard. Patrick just watched her reaction and the silence was deafening. He knew that he dropped a bomb on her but he couldn't hold it in any longer. She sighed, "Why?" She said it so quietly, that he wasn't sure that he heard her right, "What?" "Why?" "Why do I love you?" "Why are you being so selfish and telling me this?" "What the fuck Abgail? I'm trying to tell you how I feel." "But you are telling me that you are still in love with me?" "I am still in love with you. I never stopped even when we broke up." "Right, we broke up. It's over." "Wait, weren't you just telling me the other day about forgiving each other and everything?" "I told you, I forgive you, but does that doesn't mean I want to go back." "Look," he said running his hand through his hair, "I have an idea. How about we go on one date?" "Patrick..." "One date, I take you out to dinner and then I will let you make all the decisions so far as how the date ends and where we go from here." "What's the point of that?" "The point is, we just go out to dinner and I show you how I actually feel about you. That we actually have fun when we are together." "What makes this any different from the many times that we have gone out to dinner with each other?" "Those were business dinners, this time it's just you and me. We settle a lot of things and have a nice time with each other." "Alright, I have some stipulations: nothing by candlelight, no fancy smancy high dollar dinner, and no touching unless I tell you too." Patrick scratched his chin in deep thought and smile, "Alright, I will take you up on that offer. So, that's dinner tomorrow night." "And one more thing, I drive myself there." She added. "That's fine too, I will tell you where to meet me. Should we shake on it?" She sighed and held out her hand. He smiled taking her hand, she smiled and tried to pull her hand away but he kept a tight hold on it. Her brows drew together knowing in the back of her mind that he was up to something. He pulled her close and kissed her before she protest. She growled in frustration against his lips until she felt the gentle caress of his tongue against her lips. He pulled away taking her breath away with the light brush of his lips. She cleared her throat and looked up at him, "I said no touching unless I tell you." "That's only for tomorrow." He gave her that same cocky smile that made her melt and she had a feeling that she was in trouble. You Will Be Mine Again "Every cabin has a bathroom in it." "Yea, that's really roughing it." Gale said sarcastically. "Hey, it's been a long time since I really have been camping." He smiled. He held her hand as they walked back to camping site. Of course, Jade and James have already turned in and put out the fire. There were two more cabins left which she figured that one was for her. She smiled slightly as he turned around to look at her. He pulled me in the cabin which just had a bag and a bed. Gale walked over to the bathroom and it was pretty basic. "So, is this your cabin?" she asked. "Actually, it's yours for the night. I had Jade bring you some clothes and they are there. I don't want you to catch a cold so you should shower." "Are you going to your cabin?" "Yea, so I can go ahead and get cleaned up." He nodded, "I'll see you in the morning." He headed towards the door and Gale had to saw something to stop him. "Um, you can shower here," she paused, "with me." He instantly stopped in his tracks. Did he really hear what he thought he heard? He rubbed the back of his neck, turning back to look at her. She stood there in her wet clothes, clenching to her body, leaving hardly anything to his imagination. He could see the outline of her nipples through her shirt. His mouth went dry as he stared at her, silently beckoning him. "Gale, you know once I get started, I won't be able to stop myself. I just want you to think about what you are asking me." "I'm not thinking actually, I'm allowing myself to actually feel." He took a deep sigh and walked back over to her as if she was a prey ready to be devoured. He grabbed her hand pulling her towards the bathroom. As he started the shower, Gale pulled the tank top over her head and reached behind her for the bra. Patrick turned around in time to see her taking it off. He felt his cock harden instantly seeing her beautiful breast in his view and suddenly made him realize that he had too much clothes on. She walked over to him this time and unbuckled his pants, not breaking eye contact with him. In her eyes he could see the lust growing in her eyes and it only made his body hotter for her. Oh God, the look in her eyes was driving him insane. She ran the palm of her hand down the growing bulge in his boxer. She couldn't help how her body shivered feeling how hot it was. He leaned in and kissed her hungrily, enjoying the way her passion matched his. He took a hold of her bottom, pulling her closer to him. He let go to undo her pants and push her down her bottom. He pulled away slightly, looking over at her. "Let's go." He whispered. They both took off their pants and underwear. She caught a glimpse of him just before they got in the shower. This was what he's been waiting for since that first night they hooked up. As soon as he closed the door, he kissed her exploring every crevice of her mouth. He backed her against the wall, feeling the water spray but fail to quench their hot bodies. His cock ached to be inside her right then, he needed her so bad. He lifted her leg and put it around his waist. He knew that he maybe a little quick this time because he waited too long for her. He make it up to her later. She felt his length against her slick open. She couldn't stop her hips from bucking against him, rubbing against his hardness. She wanted him just as bad as he wanted her. She needed him inside her now. "Patrick, please." She quietly begged. That was all the encouragement he needed. He grabbed his cock, slowly running it up and down her slit. Her body was on fire with need and she couldn't believe how he was teasing her right now. He decided to ease both their pain and ease inside her smoothly feeling complete as her tightness hugged him. She clenched tighter around him and he grimaced. He started to move, slowly stroking inside her. Gale instantly wrapped her arms around him as he picked up speed inside her. Gale was convinced that if she can find a way to bottle this feeling, she could be a millionaire, but not without storing the product for herself. As he slammed into her, she bit down on her lip ready to chew it off. "Oh fuck Gale. I know you know this feel right." She leaned her head against the wall, "I'm the only one that could make you feel this way." "Yes." She whispered trying not to let his words affect her, even if they were true. "I can't let you go. I won't this time." He said and moved his head from her shoulder to look into her eyes, "You understand me?" Gale couldn't think straight, knowing that she was going to explode soon. Her mouth dropped open as he moved his head from her shoulder, staring into her eyes. "I want you so bad and I can't let you go. Just like you can't let me go; you want me just as bad." "Yes! Yes, I do." She breathed. "You will always belong to me. I won't ever let you go." "Oh Patrick! I'm cumming." She began to scream. "Me too." With a growl he came, spilling himself. He laid his forehead against hers as his body was still shaking. Their breathing sounded as if it was in sync with each other. They didn't even matter that the water was turning a little cold. "I love you." He whispered before kissing her full pouty lips. Gale sighed into the kiss wrapping her head around what he said. In her heart, she knew it was true what he said. For the first time since they met again, she allowed herself to really feel it again and she let a single tear fall down her face. I know this has been a long time coming and I am definitely doing better in updating more. I will also continue with the series and do the other stories too. I'm sorry guys, please don't be mad at me.
