The whole family was downstairs for breakfast and Daphne had been sent to retrieve her older sibling. Satisfied that Stephanie was not up, Daphne quietly turned the doorknob and let herself in, closing the door behind her. She could see the she shape of a body underneath the covers with long blonde hair flowing out at one end. Taking a few steps toward her sister Daphne noticed the pile of clothes on the floor next to the bed. It made her tingle a bit to know that Stephanie was in bed completely naked. When she got to the bedside Daphne peered over her and saw that Stephanie was facing away as she slept soundly. Daphne smiled as she gazed at her sister's beautiful, peaceful face. She reached over carefully and stroked her cheek, gently brushing away some of her shiny hair. After admiring her for a few moments longer, Daphne shook her gently until Stephanie began to stir. Daphne continued to watch as her sister slowly returned to consciousness. She smiled happily at the adorable 'mm' sounds Stephanie was making as she rolled over to face her, and slowly those magnificent green eyes fluttered open. "Hey there, sleepy head" Daphne said smiling sweetly. She jammed her fingers into the pockets of her little jean shorts and titled her head slightly, gazing at her sister. "Hey," Stephanie replied sleepily keeping the covers pulled up to her neck. Her groggy expression turned to one of concern. "Did Sebastian go home?" she asked. That it was her very first thought of the day irritated Daphne, who was trying to enjoy these precious alone moments with her wonderful big sister. But she shook off her flash of annoyance almost immediately and kept the smile on her face. "Yeah," Daphne replied refusing to elaborate. "Are you coming down for breakfast? Its a mad house down there." "I'll be down in a minute." Daphne noted her sister's disappointment with renewed irritation. "I'll walk down with you," she said. Their time alone together had become increasingly limited in the past year. After a brief stint as a massage therapist Stephanie decided that nursing was the best place for her. Now she was working as an LPN while she finished her last year in the RN program, and she just didn't have the time that she used to. Daphne missed the days when her big sister would pick her up after school and they would go hang out somewhere for awhile. It made her feel special. All her guy friend's constantly told her how hot they thought she was, but Daphne would just smile; Stephanie was all hers when they were together. Stephanie sat up, holding the blanket over her chest. "Daph, I'm kind of... you know?" Daphne's eyes wandered about her sister's bare shoulders and back. She followed it down as low as possible until her bottom was covered up in the blankets. She looked into her sister's emerald eyes. "I don't mind," she said softly. Stephanie looked at her pleadingly. "Fine," Daphne said giggling. "Just hurry up before your favorite cousin decides to put some clothes on." Daphne turned and walked out the door, putting a little extra sway in her hips just in case Stephanie was watching her leave. ------------------------- The scene in the family dining room was hectic and boisterous. Plates were clattering and silverware scraped against them, glasses were clinking, and the noise of several different conversations happening at once filled the room while everyone came in and out of the kitchen with food. The adults were content to hang out in the kitchen, leaving the all the cousins to vie for a position at the big dining table. Daphne had just got a plate full of eggs and bacon when Stephanie walked in. She smiled sweetly at her big sister and giggled when Stephanie tussled her brown hair as she walked by. She looked disheveled with her blonde hair in a loose ponytail and still wearing her clothes from last night, and Daphne liked it. Stephanie was naturally beautiful and didn't need to get all fancied up to take people's breath away, even though Stephanie was completely oblivious to that fact. Daphne smiled to herself as she had also noticed that the top couple buttons on her sisters shirt seemed to be struggling greatly. Sitting down to work on her mountain of eggs, Daphne wondered would it be like to have a body like her sister's, particularly to have breasts like hers. Stephanie's body was so soft and curvy. She had shapely legs, prominent hips and a round butt. Her chest was obviously her most noticeable feature, but she always seemed to be able to conceal it modestly. Daphne, on the other hand, had taken after her brother in a lot of ways. She had an athletic build over all, with muscular legs, narrower hips and a prominent bubble but that she showed off nicely in her jean shorts. Her stomach was flat and firm and her breasts were small and perky and looked great in the white tank top and sports bra she was wearing. Daphne's physique was the result of her fascination with Sebastian's fighting career, which had inspired her to start doing Crossfit. She had been waiting to join Sebastian's MMA gym, but they wouldn't accept her while she was under eighteen years old. Now that she was old enough, Sebastian had promised her that she could be part of the team, and that he would be her personal trainer. All in all, Daphne would be lying if she said that it didn't also have to do with the fact that Stephanie seemed to really like their brother's choice of profession as well. Stephanie walked back into the dining room, a small plate of food in hand. Daphne waved her over to sit next to her and smiled when she started walking her way. Just then Kelly came bursting in from the kitchen with her plate, brushing right past Stephanie without a word to sit at the middle of the table. It almost made Stephanie drop her plate, and Daphne noted her sister's look of utter disdain for their cousin as she glared at the dark haired girl. She knew the little pajama shorts, short enough for her cheeks to peek out just a bit, irritated Stephanie to no end. The little top that she wore without a bra didn't help either. Daphne found their rivalry to be hilarious at times, but it also made her a little sad. She hoped that Stephanie was not jealous of their cousin; Kelly was nowhere near as gorgeous as her big sister. A slight look of irritation flashed across her face as she considered who the real source of their conflict obviously was. Daphne wiped the look off her face as her sister finally sat down next to her. "Rude, much?" Stephanie whispered rolling her eyes in her best 'bitchy Kelly' impression. A flying french toast stick interrupted Daphne's response as it bounced off her forehead and landed in her eggs. Kyle's maniacal laughter could be heard from across the dining room. "Asshole!" she yelled receiving a 'watch your mouth, young lady!' from her Dad in the kitchen. She picked up the french toast stick and tried to hurl it back at him, but her aim was not always the best, especially when she was irritated. It soared way short of its intended target and smacked against the side of Kelly's head. "What the fuck!?" Kelly squealed looking horrified, and she received a similar warning from her own father. "I'm so sure! Ugh! Would you grow up already!?" She shot out of her seat and stomped her way out of the dining room, her butt threatening to completely fall out of her cotton shorts, and continued to stomp on up the stairs. Kyle was laughing so hard he could hardly stay on his feet and Daphne was almost falling out of her chair over it. She looked at Stephanie who was looking down at her food laughing shyly. The way her beautiful face was lit up and the way her big green eyes sparkled as she laughed melted Daphne's heart, and she was proud to have been the source of a little joy for her big sister. "What the hell is going on down here?" It was Damien, just now walking in and looking like a zombie. He was clearly still hurting from the previous nights over indulgence. He scratched a the back of his neck and looked like he was going to to fall back asleep right where he stood. Stephanie's laughter was not so shy this time. ------------------------- Getting back to her apartment a couple hours later was slow going for Stephanie on the icy roads. Her yellow Volkswagen Beetle was not the best in the snow. It was a gift from her parents for being accepted into the nursing program and she loved it. She remembered how Daphne had turned green with envy, and how her parents used it as a tool to inspire her to do well in school. Stephanie bit her bottom and smiled as she recalled how proud Sebastian was of her. She grabbed her phone and illuminated the screen. She sighed and threw it back into the passenger seat when there was still no text from Sebastian. It was all she could do to prevent herself from sending him a text first, but she forced herself to not be so pathetic. As if he didn't have better things to do, she told herself. Every so carefully Stephanie maneuvered her car around the next turn. It was a straight shot after that and she couldn't wait to get out of her two-day-old clothes. Daphne had wanted to come hang out with her for the day, which Stephanie would normally have loved. But she was exhausted from the excitement of last night and took a rain check, even though the heartbreak in Daphne's eyes was almost unbearable. She wondered what everyone was planning to do for the next three days in that house. If it was anything like the previous twenty-four hours then it was going to be one long holiday weekend. Taking the left turn into her apartment complex Stephanie would her way around until she finally reached a spot in front of her building. Her roommate, Kristen was home; Stephanie saw her car in the parking lot as she walked to the stairs. They had met while they were both working toward becoming LPNs, and had been best friends ever since. Sharing the apartment made paying for it easy, although Daphne could not wait until she could safely support herself in her own place. Rounding the corner on the second story, Stephanie made her way to her apartment door and stepped inside, grateful to be home at last. Kristen was hastily moving about the apartment trying to put an earring in as she gathered her purse and phone. She stopped in her tracks as she saw her disheveled friend close the door. "Jesus, Stephanie, what the hell happened to you?" Stephanie sighed. "Missed you, too," she replied. "What's got you so hot and bothered?" she asked changing the subject. "I'm going to be late for a lunch date," she explained touching up her make up in a compact and smoothing down her short, strawberry-blonde hair. "How do I look?" Stephanie unenthusiastically gave her friend a look over. The girl knew she was hot but never got sick of being reminded. She was wearing a pretty red skirt with red heels, and her slender legs looked great. Kristen was a petite little thing, of which Stephanie often found herself being envious. Compared to Kristen Stephanie felt flat-out fat. Her hair hugged her round face and stopped at her chin, leaving plenty of room to admire her elegant neck and collar bone. Add a sprinkle of freckles across her nose and cheeks, and a dash of them atop her shoulders, and Kristen was one good looking girl. "You know you look great," Stephanie said shrugging. "Damn, girl. What side of whose bed did you wake up on?" Stephanie realized by the look her best friend was giving her that she was probably being a little bitchy. "I'm sorry," she said. "Long night. I mean it, though, you look terrific." The smile on Kristen's face after that let Stephanie know that she was forgiven. "Well, I have to get out of here," Kristen said. "Oh, but I wanted to ask what you are you doing tomorrow tonight. You know Aaron, in our nursing class? He is friends with a bunch of guys in a fraternity and they are throwing a party. He invited me and said I could bring anyone I wanted as long as they were hot. So...?" "I don't think I exactly meet Aaron's 'hot' criteria," Stephanie replied with a look of resignation. She saw the kind of girls he liked to be around and they were all thirty pounds lighter than her, which explained why Kristen was at the top of his invite list. "Bitch, do not start with me. I don't have time," Kristen scolded her. "Yes, you are hot and yes, you are coming. It's a done deal. I can't go without my best friend and I can't believe you would even consider leaving me hanging." Stephanie giggled at her firey friend and felt a warm feeling inside every time Kristen referred to her as her best friend. It made her feel good that Kristen might actually be a little upset if she didn't agree to go to the party with her, although she suspected ulterior motives. "Well, then I guess it's a date," Stephanie said as she finally stepped away from the door and plopped down on their soft couch. "Oh, speaking of which," Kristen added, "you should-" "- ask my brother to come, too." Stephanie interrupted her with a roll of her eyes. She had been right in her suspicions. "I already knew that was coming as soon as you invited me. I was just the decoy." "Why, Stephanie Blaine, I would never," Kristen gasped with an over-exaggerated look of shock. Then, reverting right back into her normal character she added, "But seriously, ask him. Do you know how cool it would be to show up at one of these things with him? He's so hot." Idly glancing at her phone again and then tossing it aside in continued disappointment, Stephanie quietly answered, "Yes, that's what everyone keeps telling me." "Well," Kristen said scooping up her purse, "I can tell you're in a mood, Miss Attitude. Just consider it, please, we haven't gone out in a long time and it will be fun. Now, come give mama a hug." Stephanie couldn't help but smile as she got up and accepted Kristen's friendly embrace. "Have fun on your date," Stephanie said as they parted. "I will." Kristen cleared her throat sarcastically into her little fist. "And you go take a shower. Okay, bye. Love you!" Stephanie stuck her tongue out at her as she left, prompting laughter from her friend as she closed the door. ------------------------- The hot shower felt amazing on Stephanie's body as she stood motionless under the powerful jets of water. She had the lights off as usual which helped her relax and eased her anxiety from flaring up over being so body conscious; in the dark she could pretend that she was sexy and sought after. Squeezing a handful of lavender body wash into her hand Stephanie began caressing her body with it. As she washed herself she smiled shyly and wondered if Kristen really thought that she was hot. The thick silky body wash felt amazing as she lathered up her big breasts with it, squeezing and rubbing them in a circular motion, pressing them together and gently pinching her nipples. She let a hand drift down her soft tummy and find its way between her legs, and she began softly rubbing herself. With Kristen gone she could enjoy the sounds of her pleasure as they echoed in the shower. Stephanie loved listening to her own involuntary moans and whimpers; it turned her on and made her feel sexy. As her orgasm began to build momentum she imagined Sebastian walking into the apartment and hearing her commotion in the bathroom. Curious, he would come to see what was causing all the cries and moans. When he walked into the bathroom his little sister would be standing behind the glass door of the shower, her breasts pressed up against it as she caressed herself from behind. Would he enjoy what he saw? Would he watch in satisfaction as his sister loved on herself until she erupted into a sweet convulsing mess? Or would he be repulsed at the idea that his own sister obviously had a sick problem? Would he leave and refuse to talk to her ever again? He would tell her it was wrong. He would look at her with disappointment burning in his intense green eyes and shake his head, wondering how his own sister, who he once thought to be sweet, kind, and gentle, had turned out to be such a disgusting pervert. Stephanie cried out as she tore her hand away from between her legs, leaving herself hanging in the middle of what was turning out to be a very powerful orgasm. She banged her fist on the wall and stood in the darkness as the hot water cascaded upon her back and shoulders, gasping for breath now as she began having a full-blown panic attack. Tears rolled down her checks as she fought with herself over these feelings that she could not understand. Why was she like this!? Stephanie slammed the faucet closed and threw open the glass door of the shower in frustration. Hastily drying off she then wrapped the towel around her body, grabbed her clothes, and stormed into her bedroom, slamming the door behind her and heading straight for her night stand, tossing the clothes on the floor. She dug through her various medication bottles and produced one for her anxiety as well as one for sleep. She angrily popped the tops off both of them and dumped several of each in her hand, jamming them into her mouth as soon as they hit her palm. Without recapping them Stephanie carelessly left the bottles on the nightstand and didn't bother closing the drawer. She ripped her phone out of her jeans pocket and lit up the screen- no messages. Screaming in frustration she threw the phone across the room, tossed aside her covers and got into bed, sobbing uncontrollably into her pillow until the medication finally put her out of her misery. ------------------------- Somebody was saying her name. It was distant at first, as if it were part of a dream. Stephanie heard it but was not able to interact with it for some reason. Then she felt as though she were falling down a hole and being jostled about along the way. It was dark at first, but it began to get brighter the further she fell. She could hear her name more clearly now. The light at the bottom of the hole grew unbearably bright, and in an instant Stephanie was engulfed by it completely as she passed through. "Stephanie! Stephanie, god please be alive! Wake up!" Stephanie's eyes opened and she was being shaken vigorously by Kristen. "I'm up, I'm up," she said groggily as she shooed her friend away. "What's wrong, what happened?" "Goddamn it!" Kristen yelled at her. "You scared the shit out of me!" She sighed and put her hands on her hips, giving Stephanie a stern look. "Are you crazy or something?" Sitting up, still wrapped in the towel, Stephanie shook a hand through her long blonde hair. "I was just taking a nap." "THAT is not a goddamn nap, Stephanie!" Kristen responded pointing a finger at the medicine bottles on the night stand. Stephanie squeezed her eyes shut and put a hand on her forehead. Her panic attack had been so bad earlier that she hardly remembered taking the medication at all. "It's fine," she said trying to get away from the subject. "I was just feeling a little anxious." "No, it's not fine! I could hardly tell if you were breathing! I have gone through this too many times with you and that shit, Stephanie. You take dangerous amounts when you get upset. You'd think that the girl with the highest grade in nursing school would understand how to take her medication properly. Are you trying to die?" "Are you done?" Stephanie asked giving her friend a pleading look. "I get it, okay? It was just... bad this time." Kristen sighed and sat next to her friend on the bed. "I'm sorry. I know how bad it gets for you sometimes. But you have to start being more careful." Kristen put an arm around Stephanie and allowed her blonde friend to rest her head on her shoulder. Fight for Me Ch. 02 "I know." Stephanie said quietly. "Thank you for caring." "I'm going to smack the shit out of you one of these days, girl," Kristen said and was happy to get a little giggle out of her friend. Just then Stephanie's phone started ringing from across the room. "Yeah, that thing has been going off since I got home" Kristen said as Stephanie slowly got up and walked over to it. "That's why I came in here to begin with. Good thing, too. You almost died. Again." Stephanie picked her phone up and saw that it was Daphne calling for the seventh time. "Can you be any more dramatic? I never almost died." She silenced the phone and let it stop ringing. Kristen stood up and stretched her arms in the air. "Whatever you have to tell yourself. You want to get something to eat or what? I'm starving." "I don't understand how you eat ten times a day and stay so skinny," Stephanie said. She looked at Kristen who was still wearing the red skirt and shook her head. "Anyway, I'm supposed to be at my parent's house right now. Family in town and all that." "Good, I wanted to order pizza anyway." "You make me sick." "Hater's gonna hate," Kristen said with a smug smile as she left the room. Stephanie rolled her eyes and closed her bedroom door so she could get dressed. She sat on the bed and crossed her legs, wanting to look at her texts first. Her pulse quickened when she saw that one of them was from Sebastian: "Needed to hit the gym early. Fight in a few weeks. Sorry I didn't say bye, didn't want to wake you. See you tonight." She looked at the time; it was seven in the evening. The text was sent at one in the afternoon. Stephanie shook her head, cursing herself for having so many issues. Why was she the one that ended up being the basket case in the family? Putting that thought aside, she got up and went to her closet to find something interesting to wear, excited to spend a little more time around Sebastian. ------------------------- The fireplace was lit that night. It burned brightly and heated the living room comfortably. The house was buzzing with laughter and chatter as the Blaine's and their family carried on with their evening, reminiscing about old times and catching up on events that had occurred in the past year that they had been apart. Uncle Shawn was freshly divorced and professing his love for being single now. It was a clean cut; they didn't have kids or property to fight over. Everyone was happy for him as long as he was happy. Whatever was in his big coffee mug had improved his outlook, too, as the evening went on. Uncle Eric had submitted his request to retire from the Army, which his wife, Sarah, was extremely happy about. It had been a hard 22 years and had been a tremendous strain on their relationship, not to mention having to put their kids in different schools every couple years until he had finally been able to get some stabilization. It had been particularly hard on Kelly and she still resented the military for it. She swore that in the new year she would finally quit waitress-ing and start cosmetology school. The family was encouraging, even though it was the same story every year. The Army did not seem to bother Kyle as much. He was ready to be done with the last semester of high school and start living the college dorm life. He and Daphne went back and forth with their plan to go to the same school, depending on if they were on each others nerves or getting along. Sebastian Blaine gazed into the dancing flames in the fireplace, not concerned with any of it in the least. He stood with his hands in the pockets of his jeans, deep in thought about the next few weeks to come. Camp was going well. He was injury free. His striking was sharper than ever and his ground game had evolved tremendously since his last fight. There was not a doubt in his mind that he was ready to challenge the current middleweight champion, who already had two successful title defenses under his belt and was undefeated. But Sebastian was undefeated, too. In a few weeks one of them was going to walk out of the cage missing the zero on their record; Sebastian was positive that it was not going to be him. He thrived off being the underdog. "You sure are broody tonight," a sultry voice from behind him interrupted his thoughts. He glanced out of the corner of his eye as Kelly approached and stood by his side in front of the fire. "Where's your holiday cheer?" Sebastian crossed his arms and shrugged. "I'm cheery," he replied flatly. "Now that I'm here, right?" She bumped her shoulder into him playfully. Looking at her fully this time, Sebastian did manage a slight smile at his cousin's determination. He afforded himself a quick survey of her in the baby blue skirt and heels she was wearing. Kelly had always been the fashionable one, he thought. He diverted his attention back to the fire. "You can say it," she teased touching his arm briefly. "I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about," he replied coolly running a hand through his blonde hair. Kelly moved to stand right in front of him and did a slow turn, returning to face him with a hand on her hip. "You think I'm hot." She smiled mischievously and took a step closer, leaning forward a bit and looking up into his eyes. "Hmm?" Sebastian shook his head with a low chuckle. "I don't think you've ever needed anyone to say that to you before in your life; you do a good enough job of reminding yourself." Kelly gave him a sultry look. "I'll take that as a yes," she said stepping in even closer. "People can see us in here," Sebastian cautioned her. He stood his ground, though, and looked into Kelly's hazel eyes. She was so close that he could feel her rum-scented breath on his face. She pouted her glossy lips at him and Sebastian swallowed in spite of himself. "As I recall, there was a time when you didn't care who saw us," She draped her arms around his neck and gazed up at him. "We were kids," Sebastian said gently taking her arms off of him and returning them to her sides. He had a feeling he knew where the conversation was going; it was one that they had had before. "We were old enough to understand what wanting somebody was supposed to feel like. You can't tell me that there was never a time when you wanted me. You can't tell me that our little boyfriend, girlfriend role plays didn't interest you in what it would be like for real." Sebastian could see the passion in his cousin's misty eyes as she remembered times from his early teenage years. He was three years older than Kelly, but she had figured out early on that girls liked boys. She had figured out early on that she wanted him to be the one to touch her in all the right places, even though he never had. Every year that passed by it never seemed to change for her. "But it was never real," he told her. The flicker of pain that flashed in her eyes made him regret phrasing it so harshly and he sighed. "We were just pretending." "That's not exactly how I remember it." Kelly traced a hand across his chest as she walked around him. She rested her head and hands on his back. "Remember the time you kissed me, Sebastian? That wasn't pretend, cousin." Sebastian closed his eyes and gritted his teeth, both at the sensation of his cousin cuddling against his back and at the mentioning of the damned kiss. It had been playful and brief, on a day when their role playing had been particularly engaging. It had not been the moment of wanton lust that Kelly had turned it into in her mind. She had wielded the memory against him before. His reaction this time would not be any different than in the past. He turned and took her shoulders softly in his hands, looking at his cousin hopelessly. Her eyes shimmered as she silently pleaded for him to return her desires. But the past was the past, and the truth of the matter was now what it had always been; Sebastian had just not developed the same feelings for Kelly that she had for him. "We were kids," he said again in a tone of finality. Kelly shook herself from Sebastian's hands, her eyes flashing painfully. "And what's changed so much since then?" she asked. Her voice was strained and sad. "Is it because that was before SHE had developed into the woman she is now? Is that why you stopped wanting me to be your girlfriend, because your little sister suddenly wasn't so little anymore?" Sebastian glared at her and crossed his arms. "I'm not going down that road with you," he said firmly. "We've both already seen where it ends. I don't know what your problem is with Stephanie lately, but it has nothing to do with me." Kelly laughed incredulously and wiped the tears from her flushed cheeks. "Are you really that fucking blind, or are you just stupid? Nothing to do with you!? You're the only one who doesn't see that it's ALL to do with you for her. God, you two are fucking gross." With that Kelly turned and walked away before anything else could be said. Sebastian stood there, stunned and confused about what had just transpired. He knew that he had hurt Kelly's feelings, and he wasn't happy about that fact. But for her to take stabs at Stephanie over him wasn't fair and didn't make any sense. He was the one refusing his cousin's advances, not his sister. He tried to remember a time when the two of them actually got along. Their rivalry had never been so bad as it had become recently, and he wondered what had happened between them for the tension to have risen so drastically. Damien walked by just then, interrupting Sebastian's thoughts and giving him a weird look on his way to the kitchen. Sebastian looked right back at him, trying to decide what his cousin could possibly be thinking behind his scrutinizing eyes, until Damien averted his gaze. He guessed that Damien had probably witnessed the exchange with his sister and wasn't happy about it. At length Sebastian looked back into the fire and shook his head. He knew he was doing the right thing with Kelly, even if it wasn't what she wanted. Why her brother would possibly have a problem with that was beyond him and not worth worrying about as far he was concerned. The last words that Kelly had said to him replayed in his mind. Sebastian wasn't sure if he even wanted to speculate as to why Kelly had called him and Stephanie "gross". ------------------------- Stephanie parked her car along the side of the road in front of her parents' house and got out. She pulled her black wool coat around her and shivered a bit in the cold winter air. It was a calm night, at least, with only the slightest of breezes sweeping the chilly air around her, and the sky was clear and beautiful. The snow crunched beneath Stephanie's feet as she made her way to the front door. Her Uncle Shawn was standing outside smoking. "What's up?" he greeted her. "Hi," she replied sweetly. "Smoking is bad for you, you know." "Well, I ain't dead yet." He took another drag and blew a couple smoke rings before inhaling the rest of it and blowing it through his nose. Stephanie giggled. "Just doing my job. Don't stay out here too long; you'll get sick." "Sure thing, Doc," he said with a wink. Stephanie opened the front door and stepped into the warm house, shaking her head at her Uncle's teasing. She closed the door and took off her coat, hanging it on the coat rack. Seeing Sebastian's black leather jacket hanging there too made her smile. Her grandparents were sitting on the couch together talking, and they greeted her as she made her way inside. Still happy together after decades, Stephanie thought. Passing the anteroom Stephanie saw that there was a card game in session. Her father and mother, aunt and uncle, and Damien were there. Everyone welcomed her except Damien, who simply glanced over his hand at her briefly before looking back at the cards. Stephanie picked up a subtle vibe involved with that gesture but couldn't quite place what exactly was amiss. The sight of her sister approaching, beaming at her as she drew nearer, distracted Stephanie from thinking about that any further. "Well, hey, stranger," Daphne said. She wrapped her arms around Stephanie's waist and gave her a warm hug. Looking up at her sister after a few moments while keeping her arms around her she said, "You know, you can answer your phone sometimes. I was starting to get worried about you." Stephanie smiled warmly at her sister, draping her arms around her neck. "I'm sorry," she replied. "I was just... tired today." Daphne's eyes sparkled up at her, and the feeling of her sister's hands on her hips gave Stephanie a little chill. Daphne was dressed casually in some gray yoga pants and a blue hoodie, and her dark hair was pulled into a ponytail. Stephanie was impressed with her athletic frame and tried to remember when it was exactly that her little sister had decided to grow up so much. "I think I can forgive you this time," Daphne said swaying her gently from side to side with her hands. "Oh, guess what?" Daphne said suddenly excited. "Tell me," Stephanie answered with a giggle as the energetic little girl in her sister that she knew so well instantly resurfaced. "Sebastian said that after he wins his next fight I can start training at the gym!" She finally released her sisters hips and put her hands up in a mock fighting stance. "I'm going to get gloves and hand wraps and a mouthpiece and shin pads and it's going to be awesome!" Laughing, Stephanie pulled her arms from around her sister's neck and covered up against the playful punches that Daphne began throwing at her. "Daph, isn't that just a little bit dangerous? What if you get beat up?" Stephanie could hardly force herself to watch their brother step inside the cage. The last thing she could handle would be if something happened to her little sister in there. "Not with me in her corner." Sebastian's voice from behind her pleasantly startled Stephanie. She turned to see him standing with his hands casually in his pockets, an amused look on his face at the spectacle of his future pupil playfully beating on her sister. "Do you see this!?" Stephanie said giggling as Daphne bounced around on her toes and tapped her all over with her fists. "It's only going to get worse," Sebastian replied watching Stephanie move awkwardly to defend against her attacker. Stephanie noted the sparkle in his eye as he looked at her and her pulse quickened. He met her gaze and blinked at her, and she felt her heart skip a beat. The punches stopped suddenly and Daphne said, "That's my cue." She hugged Stephanie warmly from behind before walking off through the house. Stephanie cast a confused look over her shoulder at Daphne before turning back to face her brother. "She's strange sometimes," she told him. "It's in the air tonight," Sebastian said distantly. At that thought, Stephanie suddenly remembered the look that Damien had given her earlier and how strange it had felt. She didn't mention it, though; she guessed that Sebastian had picked up on some sort of vibe, too. "So what's new?" Sebastian asked. Stephanie was thankful for the change of subject. "Well, let's see... I got invited to a party with Kristen." she told him smiling sheepishly. "That doesn't happen very often." "Well, look who's suddenly Miss Popular," Sebastian teased. Stephanie blushed slightly. She allowed herself to be distracted for a few moments by how nice her brother looked in his red polo shirt. The fitted sleeves wrapped around the top of his formidable bi- and -triceps and outlined his big shoulders. She glanced across his hard chest and shifted her weight uncomfortably, biting at her lower lip. "Nice socks, nerd," a voice said from behind her, brutally tearing Stephanie from her hot trance. Before she could even turn to face the girl, Kelly walked up and slapped Stephanie hard on the butt with a loud pop as she passed right on by swaying her hips. Stephanie shrieked in surprise and pain, having felt the full effect of the blow through her thin black skater skirt, and stared after her cousin mortified. "Freak!" Stephanie yelled and was even further enraged when Kelly held up her middle finger without so much as a glance back as she rounded her way into the dining room. It made her furious! Sebastian waved away his sister's anger and indignation. "Forget about it," he said. When Stephanie continue to fume angrily, he stepped in close to her and put his hands on her shoulders. "Stephanie- stop." Stephanie looked at her brother pitifully. "But..." she protested. Her shoulders slumped and she sighed. "What a bitch," she said. "And now my butt hurts." "She's just... in a mood tonight," Sebastian said glancing over his shoulder, thinking briefly about his encounter with Kelly earlier. Turning back to his dejected sister, he smiled and said, "Hey. I happen to like the socks. A lot." Stephanie was wearing black thigh- high socks with her skater skirt to keep her legs warm, along with a soft, light-gray turtleneck sweater. Her black shoes had shiny silver buckles on them. Kristen had approved of the ensemble. She had wanted to look good tonight and she loved the idea that Sebastian might have had his eyes on her legs enough to comment on the socks. Smiling in spite of herself, Stephanie let her head fall forward to rest on Sebastian's chest. It felt so good to be this close to her brother. She wanted to fall completely into his arms and and stay there forever. He gave her shoulders a little squeeze and she shuddered delightfully. She lifted her head and gazed up at him. But the thoughts that began occurring to her were causing her anxiety to come on and she painfully took a step back. Where the absurd images she was having of the two of them came from she didn't know, but she knew that Sebastian would never forgive her if he ever found out. She still wasn't ready to forgive herself for imagining them in the first place. Sebastian let her shoulders go and it made her sad. "I was kind of wondering if you would go with me?" Stephanie said abruptly to clear the air and her head. "To the party, that is..." Even though it had been Kristen's idea, Stephanie realized in that moment just how badly she wanted her brother to be there with her. Sebastian gave her a curious look. "You want your boring brother to go to a party with you?" he asked with a soft smile. "You know I'm not very good in those kinds of situations; I might make you look bad." Stephanie couldn't help the shrill laughter that escaped her then. She placed a hand over her mouth and looked at her brother with eyes wide with disbelief. "You're kidding right?" she said. "Make ME look bad? Oh, Sebastian you are a funny guy." "Yeah that's me," he said sarcastically with a puzzled look. "Regular comedian." She was still laughing a bit. Stephanie knew that it would probably end up working the other way around, with her making Sebastian look like he took her there to be charitable to his lonely little sister. Not to mention the fact that Kristen, among others, would undoubtedly make sure that he was plenty enough occupied to not be bored. Her humor faded a bit a that thought. This had the potential to be a perfect experience or a long miserable night, she thought. And then another thought hatched in her mind. "I need you there, though." She waited for him to take the bait. Sebastian crossed his arms. "I'm listening," he said suspiciously. She shuffled her feet nervously. "I need you to be... my bodyguard..." She winced at how stupid that probably sounded, but it was too late now. "Bodyguard?" Sebastian raised his eyebrows. "You girls expecting trouble?" "Well, not exactly." Frantically thinking Stephanie explained, "But it's a frat party. You know how crazy those boys can get." She bit her lip and dared to look at her brother with suggestively innocent eyes. "And you don't want any crazy boys getting close to your little sister, now, do you?" She tugged at the bottom of her skirt and drew circles on the floor with one toe. Fight for Me Ch. 02 The expression on Sebastian's face told her that she more than had his attention, and it made her feel hot all over. He seemed to be trying to process the fact that his sister was practically seducing him into doing her bidding. He ran a hand through his hair to play it off and Stephanie smiled; she was enthralled with having affected him even for just a few moments. "No, I don't want that at all," Sebastian said solidly. He thought for a moment before adding, "But the girls at those parties aren't much better, and I don't want to get stuck pretending to be interested in any of their conversations while they spill beer all over themselves. So I'll make you a deal: I'll be your bodyguard if you be mine." Stephanie almost squealed with delight. She already knew that Sebastian was not interested in the party scene, but this was turning out better than she could have possibly imagined! "Deal!" she agreed hastily. Sebastian slowly extend his hand, his eyes sparkling at her and making her heart pound. She accepted it and they shook on the deal. Stephanie gazed into his emerald eyes and held onto his hand for long as he would allow before he withdrew it and put both hands back in his pockets. "You kids try any of this food yet?" The siblings both turned to see their dad looking at them. "You're mother slaved all day making all of it." Stephanie and Sebastian exchanged one last glance before heading into the kitchen together. ------------------------- Daphne Blaine tossed and turned restlessly in her bed. It had been an hour or so since everyone had decided to call it a night. Stephanie had decided to stay again and not risk driving tired. She was asleep in the same room as the night before next door. Sebastian, ever the hard-head, could not be convinced to do the same. There wasn't a sound in the house any more except for the heat turning on and off intermittently. She rolled onto her back and sighed, staring up into the darkness of her room. The scene that had unfolded before her earlier that evening had her mind racing. Her thoughts were coming at her so fast that she was having a hard time keeping of track of exactly why it was bothering her. Was "bothering" even the right word? She rolled back on her side in growing irritation. She needed to think this through. In order to get to the bottom of her frustration, Daphne decided to start with a couple things that she was sure of, or at least ninety-nine percent sure of. Firstly, it seemed obvious enough that Stephanie had some kind of thing for their big brother. Daphne had always picked up on some subtle undertones of this phenomenon, but she was positive that Stephanie had never had near so much trouble dealing with it in the past as she seemed to be having recently. Sebastian was as oblivious as ever, although Daphne had definitely seen some confusion on his face throughout the night after certain gestures or overtly lovey-dovey looks from their sister. Would it only be a matter of time before he began to figure it out? Daphne dared to wonder what he would think if he could just see how much his middle sibling adored him, and not in a sisterly way whatsoever. Her eyes widened slightly as she then considered the fact that anyone who watched them in the same room together could probably tell that something was going on with Stephanie. The second realization that occurred to Daphne was that none of that bothered her the way it should bother a sister watching her older sister pine over their big brother. Her heart beat a little faster as she began to have concrete thoughts for the first time that the fact that the two of them happened to be brother and sister wasn't even a blip on her concern radar. It began to dawn on her in undeniable terms why she really didn't care: the way she saw Stephanie looking at Sebastian was exactly the way she felt herself looking at Stephanie at lot of times, and Stephanie was just as clueless to her affection as he was of hers. But the difference between her and Stephanie, and why she was willing to have honest introspection about the situation while her older sister seemed content to live in utter denial, was that she couldn't possibly imagine anything feeling any more right. When Daphne looked in the mirror she saw the radiance and confidence and purity of a girl truly in love, and in love with the only one who could ever bring out the very best in her. It made her blossom like a new flower in spring time. Quite the opposite, it was written all over her facial expressions and body language that as soon as Stephanie experienced just a touch of any of those feelings for Sebastian, she immediately began torturing herself over it, and her own petals withered and fell away shamefully. Daphne's heart was pounding in her chest as a realization suddenly hit home; she had just solidly admitted to herself that she was in love with her own big sister, and she didn't feel ashamed of it one single bit. She giggled into the darkness and pulled her knees into her chest. She was in love, real and true love! The sharp edge of reality began to carve up her jubilation piece by piece, however. The complexity of being in love with her sister, who was quite taken with their brother, began to close in on her. Daphne sighed and sat up, placing her hands on her flushed face. She was feeling a sudden urgency to be near her sister. Before she allowed herself to reconsider it Daphne was up and moving, heading to her door and opening it quietly. She poked her head out and peered into the darkness in both directions, listening intently for a couple seconds in case anyone was up and about. Satisfied that the coast was clear she left her room and quickly covered the short expanse off hallway to her sister's room next door, her light footsteps not making a sound on the soft carpet. There was no time to second guess herself. Daphne quietly turned the doorknob, pushed open the door and stepped inside, closing it behind her. She stood there for several long moments. The room was faintly illuminated by the moon streaming in through the open curtains of the windows. Daphne looked across at the bed where a lump under the blankets represented her sleeping sister. She was suddenly conscious of the fact that she was wearing only her little Wonder Woman underwear and tank top. It was too late, she told herself again, to turn around now. Slowly she approached the bed and, without a better plan in mind, sat on it by Stephanie's side. She was facing the wall hugging her pillow. Daphne smiled. A few more moments went by and Stephanie did not stir. "Stephie?" Daphne whispered. "Stephanie." An adorable "mm", then, and Stephanie rolled over to face the open side of the room. Her arm came out of the covers landed against Daphne's bare thigh, and she suddenly realized she was not alone in her bed. With a little squeal Stephanie's head shot up. "It's just me," Daphne whispered. "Daphne!" Stephanie shook a hand frantically through her hair. "You scared the crap out of me. What are you doing in here?" Daphne's pulse quickened and she realized that she probably should have had an answer to that question before hand. "I couldn't sleep." "You what?" Stephanie sighed and sat all the way up. "What's wrong?" "I was lonely." Daphne didn't realize just how truthful that was until she said it. She had been lonely all night watching Stephanie wish she could be with Sebastian. And she had been lonely in her bed just minutes ago, the kind of lonely that was going to drive her crazy if she didn't come to her sisters room tonight. "You were what?" Stephanie sighed. "What are you talking about, Daphne? Go back to bed. It's late." She could see her sister's pleading look in the pale moonlight, but persistence was Daphne's only option now. "Can I stay with you tonight? Please? Like you used to let me?" "Daph...No, you're not a little girl now. You don't need your big sissy any more." Daphne was afraid that the pang she felt inside her at that statement was actually audible in the quiet room. If she only knew how much more she needed her big sissy now than ever before... "I won't bother you. Please, Stephie? Just this once?" Sighing Stephanie reached over and put a hand on Daphne's head. "Fine. But just this once." Her pulse quickened. "Yay..." she whispered and got under the covers as Stephanie lied back down and turned to face the wall. It felt so nice to be close to her sister. Daphne felt safe and comfortable. There was no loneliness now, only contentment in knowing that she was under the same covers as Stephanie. She closed her eyes and smiled, rolling on her side to face her sister's back and pulling her pillow close. She lost track of how much time had passed before her eyes shot open again, and she realized then that falling asleep now was going to be infinitely more difficult than if she had stayed alone in her room. Daphne had not been old enough to understand physical attraction the last time she had slept in the same bed as her sister. She realized now that she had still not really understood what it was supposed to feel like until this very moment, so close to Stephanie that they were sharing each others body heat, and it overwhelmed her almost instantly. As the seconds past Daphne knew that most of the body heat in that bed was coming from her more and more. She had never felt so taken with desire in her life. He stomach was in knots and it felt like there was a furnace between her legs. Her whole body flushed with hotness and she squirmed, squeezing her athletic thighs together hard. She felt a dampness in her little underwear and she bit her lip. There was nothing Daphne could to prevent herself from trying to get closer to her sister. The quickness with which she had become consumed by her attraction shocked her, ever scared her a little. She considered how much time in just the past year alone that she had wanted to be intimate with her big sister, and how much of that time had actually been spent suppressing it. In that moment, with Daphne resolute in her mind now about how she felt for Stephanie, it was ready to explode out of her. Slowly, every so carefully, Daphne edged her way closer to her sister, gently spooning her from behind. Bare legs met bare legs and Daphne gasped into her sisters back. Stephanie was wearing panties and a T-shirt to sleep, and they both felt incredible on Daphne's skin. Not a stir from big sister so Daphne pressed herself closer, flexing her hips into Stephanie's behind and pressing their legs together. Daphne's breath was quivering. The scent of her sisters hair was driving her insane. The insides of Daphne's thighs were slick and wet. It couldn't be helped at this point; Daphne needed to release herself from this sweet torture. She rolled her hips back, keeping her face pressed gently into Stephanie's back. Her outside hand found its way behind the soaked Wonder Woman logo on the front of her underwear. She pressed it onto her bare wetness and started to massage herself. Her body was trembling and she gasped quietly into her sister's shirt. She dared to get more aggressive with herself between her legs. She breathed in her sister's wonderful smell in and it drove her hand to work harder. Daphne's inside hand grew a mind of its own found itself touching Stephanie's back. It became bolder and ever so softly slide its way down to her hip, daring its partner between Daphne's legs to keep up. It found the bare flesh of Stephanie's upper thigh and rested there, realizing that it need not go any further to make its point. Biting down on her bottom lip to prevent herself from crying out, so hard that she could taste a little blood, Daphne rolled to the outside of the bed, away from Stephanie, and gyrated her way through what was by far the most intense of the few orgasms she had ever had in her life. "Daph, what are you doing? Are you okay?" Daphne squeezed her eyes shut and enjoyed the last couple convulsions as they wracked her body; she had woken her sister up. "Fine..." she managed to choke out. "Im... Fine." The wracking became quivering and she was able to breathe again. Stephanie rolled around this time. "Fine? You don't look fine. Daphne, what's wrong?" "I'm good," she gasped. "I think I was just having a really scary dream." Daphne rolled her eyes and suppressed a giggle at how stupid she probably sounded. She reminded herself that the alternative was Stephanie finding out that her little sister had just been masturbating right up against her in the same bed. "I'm sorry," Stephanie said sympathetically "Come here." Hardly believing her ears Daphne slowly rolled around to face her sister. She was so relaxed and content that she hardly wanted to move. "Really? Just like you used to let me?" she asked softly gazing at her beautiful blonde sister through eyes still misty in her afterglow. Daphne knew that she wouldn't be so eager to play the big sister role if she had known what had just happened. "Yes. But just this once." "Yay." Daphne scooted into her sister's embrace, in complete sensory overload and happier than she had even been. If there was any guilt about what had just happened she would worry about it tomorrow. At that moment all she wanted to think about was Stephanie's big breasts pressed into her cheek as she fell into the most peaceful sleep she'd had in a long time. ***** **** To be continued **** Thank you for reading, Ch.03 in the works!
