Someone's on the roof!" Grabbing his hockey stick as he leapt out of bed, Jason dashed to the window, his mind racing. "I'll deal with this burglar and show those arseholes that I'm no Mummy's Boy!" Jason was 18, lived at home with his parents and was still a virgin, a combination his mates constantly ribbed him about. They'd push him around saying, "Hey Mummy's Boy, you can't even pull a girl, let alone fight like a man! You can't even take a girl out without Mummy's approval." There would be no point in going out with a girl Mother didn't like." Jason thought, "She'd never let her in the house." Slowly and quietly, Jason opened his window and lent out thinking, "They'll see that I'm not to be messed with when I've sorted this burglar out." He heard something rolling down the roof and looked up, at the same moment that the object hit him in the face, "SPLAT!" "Shit!' Thought Jason as he wiped the smelly substance from his hands and looked at it, "IT'S COW SHIT!!" Then it suddenly disappeared from his hand and face like magic, just as if it were never there. "Weird?" he thought to himself. Then out of the corner of his eye, he saw a figure with a big bag disappear through the bathroom window. "Gotya!" Jason said quietly as he raced back inside and headed for the bathroom, then he heard a noise from the lounge. "The presents! They're after the Christmas presents!" Jason peered around the door, his hockey stick raised. There in the dark, he could make out a figure with its back to him, bent at the waist. It had a big bag in one hand and was taking things out of it to place under the tree with the others. "Santa?" Jason thought quizzically. Hockey stick still raise, Jason flicked the light on. "Holy Mother of Jesus!" Jason said out loud. In front of him and bent over at the waist, was a beautiful woman, the sort of woman he'd only ever seen in those girlie calendars. Shiny black knee high boots, followed by a pair of firm creamy thighs that led up to a perfect arse wearing a red g-string. A red jacket with white fur lining, held at the waist by a big black belt. The standard Santa hat hung down from her head as she stayed bent over and looked back at him from between her legs and saying, "Dammit! My first night out and I get caught." Jason lowered the stick, his mouth opening and closing like that of a fish out of water. "Sa, Sa, Santa?" "No I'm not Santa." she said, "I'm a probationary helper, and I think I might have blown it." Jason fidgeted nervously as he looked at this woman with her jacket buttoned so low that he could see her pierced belly button, also so short that it didn't even cover her arse. "Um, I um, yes, I think you did." Jason said, blushing as he felt the sticky mess form in his pyjama pants. "Mother would not approve of this." he thought. Looking down at a note pad she said, "Are you Jason?" " Ummmm, yes..." he mumbled. "Well maybe this isn't so bad then. I can still grant your Christmas Wish and I know you won't tell anyone." she said as she walked toward him undoing her belt. She dropped the jacket and stood so close that the hard nipples of her perfect breasts pressed against his chest. All she wore now were the boots, the g-string and the hat. She held the note book up and read out loud, "Christmas Wish List, Jason Stevens, wants to get laid!" Jason went bright red, "It says that?" "It certainly does big boy1" she said as she looked down and his pyjama pants magically fell down to reveal a raging hardon. "In fact you're the first of a few good boys I have on my list with the same wish, you must have been really good." Then she took his sticky hard cock in her hand and led him to the lounge. Jason laid back on the couch speechless, then Santa's horny helper undid a clip at the side of her g-string and peeled it away to reveal her perfectly trimmed little smoo. "No, Mother definitely wouldn't approve." thought Jason. "Merry Christmas Jason." Santa's horny helper cooed as she slowly lowered her hot and tight little pussy onto his stiff pole, finally taking his cherry. "Oh well..." Jason thought as she swallowed his hard cock whole with her tight pussy, "Who really gives a fuck if Mother approves,. After all, it is Christmas..." The Christmas Wish This was an easy story to write. I like Christmas and I believe that things happen during that season and especially on Christmas Eve that could not happen any other time. It is certainly not a time for bitterness or revenge. I hope you feel the same way. Rather than post this in a series of chapters, I chose to post it all at once. It is long, so you may want to download and read later. Thanks. Angel Love edited and made some suggestions that I wisely included. Thanks to her for making the story better. * * * * * Madison Long let herself out of the room, carefully closing the door so as not to wake Bill. He was still sleeping after their session of sex and would be angry at her for leaving. He loved watching her dress. It gave him some sort of thrill she supposed. At first, she thought it was sexy and erotic. Now, it just seemed perverse. She walked quickly down the hall to the elevator, pushed the down button and was grateful that the doors opened without much delay. She pushed the button for the lobby and tapped her foot impatiently as the elevator descended the seven floors. She thought about that afternoon with Bill. William Bethel, CFO at Zuc-Cor Int'l, one of the major contributors to Wishes Unlimited, her foundation. He had been anxious with her this time, even frightened, or so it seemed. He seemed to know that things between them had changed, that they were different. He was too quick, too hard, giving her no time to enter into the mood. He tried so hard to get her to a climax but without success. She tried to tell him to slow down, to be gentle, but he didn't listen. It was almost as if he knew this might be the last time for them. When the doors slid open, interrupting her thoughts, she walked swiftly through the lobby toward the exit without glancing left or right, her thoughts now changing to more practical matters. Once outside, she had the doorman signal her a cab. The cab ride was short, traveling only four blocks from the Hilton Hotel to the corner of sixth and Lexington. She paid the cabby, and then walked west toward Union St. and the entrance to Wishes Unlimited. She wanted to walk in the front door as she usually did. She often had to leave during the day to see volunteers, make meetings with potential contributors and corporations offering their services to help her foundation. She had a parking slot in one of the private parking garages and this was her normal pattern of entry and exit. Her entrance at this time of the afternoon would arouse no interest in anyone's mind. She went into her office, shut the door and reached for her phone. She pushed the button for Sherrie her assistant, and told her that she needed twenty minutes without any visitors. That taken care of, she kicked off her shoes and put her feet up on the desk and leaned back in her chair. Her office had no windows so she was alone. No one could see the look of pain on her face. No one could hear the soft cursing nor the glistening tears unshed in her blue eyes. No one could see her clenched hands or the tremors that coursed over her as she sat there. No one saw the battle taking place inside her as she fought the waves of depression and fear that washed over her. No one saw her face relax when she finally won the battle with herself. What they would see was Madison Long, the calm, self-possessed Chairwoman who ran Wishes Unlimited, the foundation she had personally established five years ago to fulfill the wishes of kids with terminal cancer. Wishes Unlimited had grown so fast that it now had more than twenty-five full time workers scheduling and planning and escorting children in all sorts of exotic wishes. The money had come rolling in when Madison began fund-raising. Parker Long, Madison's husband had lent his support and he was able to direct her to several big companies who were looking for ways to be philanthropic with their money. Within the first year or two, they were able to begin helping more and more kids with their hopes and dreams and the media attention was enough to bring in even more money. Things grew and Wishes Unlimited began to fulfill its vast potential. At first, Wishes was just a hope and a prayer that she shared with her sister, Carol Bishop. Carol had become her biggest supporter and later, her best friend. Now, she was President and second in command to Madison and the one person Madison could count on to always be there and always know what to do when things went wrong. It was Carol that Madison's thought turned to. She had a big problem and she needed someone to talk to. Carol was the obvious choice but she was also family. She was the wife of her only brother, George Bishop and was close to her father and mother. While they were normally traveling around the country, they were still influential in her and George's lives. What she told Carol could well get back to them and Madison could not let that happen. The twenty minutes up, Madison put her thoughts on hold, picked up the phone and called her son, Parker Jr. He lived in Navy base housing with Evelyn, his wife of four years. He planned on staying in the service as a JAG lawyer for another term and then retire and go into business with his father, Parker Sr. Parker was a lawyer. One of the senior partners of Addison-Parker & Associate, Attorney's at Law. He and Phil Addison had started the firm twenty five years ago, a year after Parker and she were married. They had discussed it and she knew that Parker's dream was to start his own law firm. She was pregnant with Parker Jr. at the time and was at home. The firm had been a success almost from the beginning. Parker and Addison took on cases that no one else would touch and began to build a reputation as winners. They even took pro bono cases for the recognition from the judges and it paid off in more cases. They expanded, brought in more lawyers and now the firm was one of the biggest in the city with more than a hundred lawyers and another fifty clerks at various levels of education. When Parker Jr. was sixteen months old, she got pregnant with Blair. She was happy raising their two children and building a home for them all. Money soon became plentiful and they no longer had to put off buying the home they both wanted. It was a beautiful Tudor style home in the suburbs, with four big bedrooms, lots of space for the kids to play, a kitchen to die for and all the conveniences modern science could provide. They moved in when the kids were still young enough to grow into it. Things were great between them and the family was solid. The only thing wrong was the time Parker had to spend at the firm. As the firm grew, so did the demands put on Parker Sr. He was working very long hours, spending more and more time away from home. Madison began to fret under the demands of two growing children and an absentee father. She let it go for a long time but finally, one weekend in early fall, when she was watching the kids play in the leaves that covered the yard, she told Parker that they had to talk. Parker was home for a change and he was sitting with her on their screened-in porch, enjoying one of the first warm days of the spring. "Parker, we have to talk. I have a problem and I need you to help me solve it." Parker looked at this wife, marveling at the way she continued to move his heart. She was a tall, slim brunette, with wide brown eyes and pale skin. She was tall, almost five feet, seven inches and always dressed to show off her figure. She had worked on her body after the birth of Blair and she still turned heads when she walked into a room. He had been attracted to her the first time he met her and his love for her had only gotten stronger as the years passed. They had been married now for fifteen years, but it seemed like only yesterday that she had agreed to be his wife. "Any problem you have, I'll do anything necessary to solve it. Just tell me what it is and I'll slay any dragons you need slain to make it better." His smile was typical. Nothing was ever too serious for him. He felt he could solve anything. Well, she hoped he would feel that way about this one. "You're spending too much time away from us. I miss you, Jr. and Blair miss you. Sometimes the kids don't even see you during the week. It's only on the weekends that you're home. This has to stop." Parker listened to this, not surprised by the words. He had been thinking the same thing. It had been almost three weeks since they had made love. Almost three weeks since he was home early enough to be with his kids. Making love to Madison was something he still loved doing and their love making was still passionate and fulfilling. But it had been three weeks! "You're right. I know it and I've been thinking about it. I think I might just have an idea. Let me work it out with Addison and see what I can do. I miss you. I miss being with you. It's been too long for us." Madison went to him and put her arms around his neck. She pulled his mouth to hers and kissed him with all the love and desire she had been keeping in check for the past month. She felt the way he responded and she ground herself against him to remind him of what he had been neglecting. She whispered in his ear and he dropped his hands down to her bottom and pulled her tight against his hardening. She squeezed herself to him and dropped one hand between them to cup him. His groan was all the validation she needed. She squeezed once and released him. "See that you fix the problem soon. I don't want to have to go out and find someone else to fix it." "It's a promise. Just give me a couple of days." He watched as Madison rose and went out to call Jr. and Blair for lunch. Hopefully, they would share something more later that night. He smiled to himself, wondering again why he was so fortunate. All the things they had wanted had come true. Their beautiful children, a home that they both loved, good health for all and a marriage made in heaven. There was nothing more he could wish for except a great future for his children. As promised, Parker rearranged his schedule, taking fewer cases, dropping all pro bono cases, turning over all active but unresolved issues to a few chosen junior lawyers and freed up his evenings and weekends. He was coming home on time every evening and the weekends became time for family affairs and traveling. The family grew together and Madison had what she hoped for: a husband that had time for his loving wife. She reveled in her duty as wife and lover and their sex life improved in all aspects. She was fully satisfied and she blossomed as never before. The kids grew, did well in school with her help, were into several extra curricular activities requiring her to become a full time chauffeur. Parker Jr. was into sports and did well in football and basketball. He lettered in both and was very popular with the girls. Blair was a cheerleader, loved soccer and tennis and also did well with the boys. It was early in their years as junior high students that Parker and she sat both down and explained the birds and bees to them. It was made clear that the parents expected responsible behavior from both and made it clear the consequences of mistakes in judgment. The lessons seemed to take and both went through high school without problems. Parker Jr. was the first to graduate and won an academic scholarship to Harvard. He wanted to major like his father. Since his father also graduated from Harvard, he had an in and did well his first year. He made friends easily and spent less and less time at home. He was the first of her two babies to grow up and leave the nest. Madison watched him grow and was proud, as was his father. The home fires burned brightly but with less intensity now that Blair was the only one left. Madison knew she would soon be going away but spent her time enjoying her while she could. Blair was more modest in her desires and wanted to teach history. She finished high school with good grades and also got a scholarship, albeit a partial, to Vanderbilt University. It was the fall of 2000 that she went to school and left home. Madison was now alone and found herself suddenly without anything to do. She had no hobbies, no really close friends, her activities for the most part had always revolved around her two children. With them gone, her days seemed hollow and empty. One evening when she was sitting with Parker after dinner, she went over, plopped herself down on his lap, put her arms around his neck and said, "Parker, I'm bored. I need something to do with my time. Help me think of something." Parker put his arms around her, grabbed one breast and gently squeezed. "How about I give you something to do right now? I'll give you plenty of things to think about." She laughed delightedly, pressed her mouth to his hungrily and, for the next hour, did think of several things to do to and with him. The evening passed in hot passion and she almost forgot her discomfort at being without her children, but not completely. As she was lying naked in his arms later, fully sated with lovemaking, she snuggled her face to his chest and repeated her question. "I'm serious Parker. I need something to do with my days. Unless you want to stay home with me and we can do this all day. That would make me very happy." Parker laughed, tried to make himself rise to the occasion, but even with her able assistance found himself done in by the intensity of their earlier passions. In defeat, he promised her that he would try to come up with some ideas and they could then make some plans. He knew she was serious and he was becoming concerned that idleness would not be good for her. They snuggled together and fell asleep in each other's arms. It was a week later when Madison was in her Doctor's office waiting room that her inspiration struck. She was sitting there, reading an outdated Family Circle when a woman came in with a small girl. She couldn't help but overhear the conversation as they sat down in the seats next to her. The girl must have been about twelve or thirteen years old and she was looking decidedly unhappy. She was arguing with her mother. "Why do I have to keep coming here mommy? He can't help me anymore. I know I'm going to die." "You can't say that! There's always hope. You just have to keep trying. Please, Kirin, you have to!" The mother was close to tears and her grief was clearly worn on her sleeve. The two continued to argue but they moved over to the corner where it was difficult to hear. Madison watched them out of the corner of her eye but couldn't make out the words. It was clear the mother was grief stricken and that the girl was resigned to her fate. The picture was heartbreaking. The two stood there, silent now but for the soft sobs of the mother. As she was about to go to the mother and offer her a shoulder, the receptionist opened the door and called, 'Kirin Conyers?' The girl walked over to the receptionist and motioned her mother to stay behind. She went in with the nurse and the door closed. The mother then walked over to the seat beside Madison and sat down. She had stopped the tears but she was still emotional. Madison hesitated but then finally spoke to her. She asked if she could help and the mother shook her head no. Madison put her hand on her shoulder and repeated her offer. Finally the woman introduced herself as Madelyn Conyers. "I'm sorry to be so rude. It's just so hard. My daughter has leukemia and everything we've tried has failed. The doctors have given her less than a year to live. She's made peace with it, but I haven't." Madison listened and shared her pain but could offer nothing but support. Madelyn spoke of the bone marrow transplant that failed, the chemotherapy that made her daughter so sick and now, the refusal to try any more treatments. She was probably correct that since the drugs couldn't cure her, and only made her sick, it was a waste of what was left of her life. It was when Madelyn spoke of the wish by her daughter to go to Disneyland before she died that things started to come together. Madelyn said that they were so deep in debt from the medical bills that they couldn't make the trip. She was heartbroken but they had borrowed against everything they owned and had nothing left to use as collateral. Madison was still thinking when the nurse called her to come back. Before she did, she asked Madelyn to write her name and phone number on a slip of paper and leave it for her at the reception desk. Madelyn agreed, thinking that Madison was willing to talk to her some more. That night over dinner, Madison told Parker of her conversation with Madelyn and the tragedy of her daughter's leukemia. Parker listened, expressed his sympathy but wondered what they could do about it. Madison mentioned the trip and the wish of her dying daughter. "I want to help. I want to make that little girl's dreams come true. I want to give that trip to her and her mother. That's what I want to do. I want to help kids like her and mothers like hers. The ones who have no hope left, but can still dream. I want to make those dreams come true. I want to start a cause, a foundation, something, to do that." Parker listened and watched his wife's face light up. He saw the passion, the love and the caring so clearly that he was caught up in her vision before he even knew it. He wanted what she wanted, so much so that he began to think himself. What could he do? How could he give this dream to his own wife? Then, he had it! "Here's what we'll do. First, you call that mother and you make that trip a reality. We'll pay for it. We can certainly afford it. And I want to do it for you. Call her." Before Madison could even respond, Parker was on to the next item his busy mind had locked on. "I'll set up a charitable foundation for you tomorrow. We'll make it a legal entity chartered in the state and listed as a non profit foundation. I'll take care of the paperwork tomorrow first thing and we can have a permit to operate by the end of the week. That will get you started." "I can't believe this. We can make this happen! We can! Oh, my god! It's going to happen isn't it?" "It's your dream and I told you, whatever I could do. This is right up my alley and it'll be a snap. You'll have your foundation by the end of the month. Another thing, we have to get some real contributors as soon as possible. And we need to put out the word. I know a few people in the medical field that can help you. They can screen out the real kids from the scams. I'll start tomorrow and you'll be able to start calling people by the end of the week. All you need now is a name and you're in business!" "Wishes Unlimited. That's the name. That's also my goal for those kids." "So be it. Wishes Unlimited it is." That was the beginning. She did arrange the trip for Kirin to go to Disneyland with her mother and younger brother. It was a huge success and she was thrilled at the work that Parker did on her behalf. True to his word, she did have a charter by the end of the week and she had already gotten pledges from four of the wealthiest men in town. She also had a list of companies and contacts to call. She realized right away that she was going to need some help so she called her sister, Carol. Carol was a volunteer at the local hospital but she had some free time and immediately signed on. Together, they began to build the connections they needed to begin work. Over the next few years, Wishes Unlimited continued to grow. She and Carol brought new people in, people that shared the vision they had and more and more companies climbed on the bandwagon, seeing the publicity that Wishes generated. Madison began to spend more and more of her time raising funds, meeting with contributors and making contacts in companies that wanted to help. Parker brought in several new contributors and some important men and women in the biggest companies. All were eager to help. The Christmas Wish In order to facilitate the increased number of wishes granted, Madison became the Chairwoman of Wishes Unlimited and Carol became the President, both of them having the final say but both of them delegating more and more to the actual workers in the field. This left more time for Madison to make contacts and raise money and promises while Carol worked to find those children they could help the most. Things were moving forward and Wishes Unlimited was now an established foundation. Strangely, as Madison became more and more involved in Wishes Unlimited, Parker began to work more and more in his firm. What had once brought them together in spirit, now began to move them further apart. It was not immediate and neither noticed the change, since both were working so many hours and were always so tired at the end of the day. They did continue to spend their weekends together, but even those started to become less available. Things were comfortable, however, since both were involved in something they loved. Things had been status quo for the better part of the past year when Parker introduced Madison to William Bethel, the chief financial officer of Zuc-Cor, Inc., a company with deep pockets and a fleet of planes that they used for corporate travel. Parker suggested that William consider using one of the idle planes to help with transportation and to contribute some of the capital that was Zuc-Cor's strength, but also a tax burden. William agreed and the meeting was set up. There was an immediate attraction between Madison and William Bethel that caused some consternation for both at first. They were conscious of the attraction but both fought it. It became easier as time went by and they became friends. Madison considered turning the contact over to Carol but then, thinking herself foolish, she decided against that. She could handle this. William was able to schedule the planes for transportation almost on call since he was the one that scheduled them for the corporate charters. He simply held one plane out at all times so that he could meet the requirements when Madison called. He looked forward to her calls and wanted to please her. So, one plane was always at her beck and call. She began to rely more and more on Bill to meet her demands and to contribute to the wishes that she deemed the most important. In this way, they began to grow closer and closer. At home, things were stationary. Their evenings became quiet, each thinking about work related things and neither thinking much about the other. There was no intimacy during the week now and rarely on weekends, but neither thought much about it. Things had just become routine and detached. Neither noticed. It was an early morning call to Bill that brought the first change in the relationship. Madison called Bill to arrange a trip for a sick ten-year-old girl that wanted to see the Grand Canyon. She so wanted to take a trip on the donkeys down into the gorge and Carol had made all arrangements except the plane. She asked Madison to make the call and schedule the flight for the following week. Madison agreed, called Bill and made the request. "The plane will be available next Monday as you asked. Should be no problem. Can I do anything else for you?" Bill was hoping that there might be a reason for them to get together but he hesitated to mention it. "That's perfect. No, that about takes care of things here." For reasons that she couldn't even identify, Madison had a sudden inspiration. "Bill, if you're not busy, could I buy you lunch today? It's OK if you can't." "I'm free. No problem. Why don't we go to the Hilton? They have a marvelous spread for lunch so we can just have the buffet. That way, time shouldn't be an issue." "Perfect. I'll meet you there. 12:30 OK?" They both agreed and Madison hung up, wondering why she had done that. She enjoyed Bill's company and found him attractive, but she believed she had no romantic feelings about him. She shrugged it away as a need to get out and relax with a friend and went back to work. She almost worked past the time for lunch and noticed the time almost too late. She grabbed her phone, called Bill's office and got his secretary who told her he had already left. Madison asked her to call his cell and tell him she was on her way. When she arrived fifteen minutes late, she was flustered and embarrassed. She saw Bill waiting in the lobby and went to him with a red face. "I'm so sorry. I got caught up in work and lost track of time. I hope you'll forgive me?" He was gracious and led her into the restaurant. It was certainly beautiful, open and surrounded by green. It was very busy at this time but Bill had a table reserved. It was a company table as indicated by the plaque on the wall next to the setting. They were seated and began to relax. The hour went very fast and Madison was sorry when the time was up. She had fun and enjoyed the time with Bill. When he asked if they could do it again, she immediately agreed and they made plans for two days later. Madison left, feeling strangely pleased. She was already looking forward to the next time. Bill escorted her from the restaurant, walked her to her car and, surprising her, leaned down to kiss her cheek before opening her door. She smiled, got in and drove away, watching Bill in the rear view mirror. The funny feeling in the pit of her stomach stayed with her for the rest of the day. At dinner that evening, Madison was confused. She was thinking about Bill most of the time and was having trouble concentrating on what Parker was saying. She had to ask him to repeat himself several times and finally, he just stopped talking. They ended up saying little to each other for the rest of the night. Madison was still trying to understand the feelings she was having when Parker said he was going to bed. She watched him go up with mixed feelings. She followed hours later, confused still. The next meeting with Bill came up quickly and she found herself almost giddy with anticipation. This was insane! She should cancel! But no, she didn't want to cancel. She was on time this time and Bill was waiting. They sat at the same table and lunch was a blur of conflicting emotions for her. She was silly, confused, happy, interested, guilty, all emotions colliding with each other constantly. She was in this mood when Bill quietly asked her if she would like to see the guest suite his company kept at the hotel for traveling guests. He suggested it might be used from time to time for some of the parents of her kids. She quickly agreed. Bill led her to the elevator and they went up to the seventh floor. He led her down the hall to room 715, a placard on the door indicating this room was reserved for Zuc-Cor, Int'l. He opened the door with a key and motioned her inside. She walked past him, looking around at the room. It was big, furnished with a large conference table and a small kitchen. She moved in and looked into the attached rooms. There were two, one a small lounge with soft chairs and a TV and the other was a bedroom with a king bed. She was looking at the bed when Bill came up behind her and put his arms around her. She didn't flinch as it felt perfectly natural for him to do this. She leaned back against him and lay her head on his shoulder. Bill leaned down to kiss her, this time on the mouth. Without warning, the passion flared and they found themselves clutching each other in a kind of frenzy. Madison could not remember how her blouse got opened and how Bill's hand was cupping her breast, but she didn't seem to care. Bill was kissing her with an intensity that took her breath away. They moved together into the bedroom, Bill hurriedly pulling his clothes off while she did the same. There was only a small nagging thought about what they were going to do before Bill grabbed her and pulled her down on top of him. He was not gentle, taking her hard and fast. He quickly brought her to a climax with his hands, and that made her want even more. He rolled her over onto her back and, as she waited breathlessly, he plunged inside her. She was well lubricated from his hands and she was hot and wet still as he took her. She was very aroused and had little trouble taking his full length. She came quickly, as did he. Afterward, they lay together, not speaking or thinking much. She knew that later thoughts would come unbidden and she would have to deal with them, but just now, she was once again feeling Bill's arousal. He pushed her onto her back, moving over her and positioning himself between her legs. She looked down to see his length, pointing at the entrance to her lips and closed her eyes in embarrassment. Bill was only the second man ever to see her this way. She was a virgin when she married Parker all those years ago. She quickly blocked that thought and let the feeling of Bill's cock fill her. He was pumping her again, this time more slowly and taking his time. He was able to go longer this time and she finally felt him tense up, ready to climax. For her, there was nothing this time but she encouraged him so he would finish. As she dressed, she avoided looking in the mirror at her reflection. She brushed her hair by feel and wiped her face with a dry towel. Her makeup would suffice and her clothes were not wrinkled, thank God. She collected her things and walked back into the main room where Bill was already dressed and ready to go. He smiled at her, moved to take her in his arms and kissed her gently. She enjoyed the kiss, wishing that it was all she had done. Bill escorted her out of the room, down the hall to the elevator and down the seven flights to the lobby. They said goodbye and she walked to her car. She drove home rather than going back to Wishes Unlimited. She had things to think about. At home, she went slowly upstairs to the bedroom where she stripped off all her clothes. She took her panties and bra and threw them down the laundry chute to the downstairs laundry room. She carefully hung up her suit jacket and the matching skirt but placed the blouse in the hamper with some other lacy items that needed special washing. She walked into the bathroom and looked at her naked body in the full length mirror. She saw a tall, well-toned body, a little large in the hips and rather well endowed in the breasts, but overall very nice. She did keep herself in good shape and enjoyed the gym in the house, at least twice a week working out. When her eyes moved up to the face, she saw something else. She knew she was pretty, even beautiful by some standards. She knew she still turned heads when she went out. She knew what she looked like to others but she was curious to see if the afternoon with her lover would show. In the eyes? How about the worry lines above her eyes? The slight smile that hid a secret? Would any of those show? She knew that face, had looked at it in the mirror for almost forty-eight years. But this time, the face was different. It held secrets. When she looked directly into her own eyes, she was rocked at what she saw. Guilt! Betrayal! An adulteress! The shock extended to her legs which suddenly buckled under her, sending her staggering back away from that image. She caught herself before she fell and made her way back to the bedroom, tears blinding her, making her reach out in front of her to find the bed. She fell forward and lay there, sobbing uncontrollably. It was hours later when she pulled herself up and went back to the bathroom to shower. She let the hot water cascade over her as she fought to keep the control that she finally achieved from slipping away again. She knew what she had done, but it was over. She made a mistake and betrayed her marriage vows. But, it didn't have to be the end of the world. She would put it aside and move on. Parker didn't have to know, needed never to know. She could put this behind her. She felt much better when she dried herself off and dressed comfortably in jeans and bulky shirt. She made it through the evening with Parker, somewhat surprised that he noticed nothing different about her, but thankful nevertheless. They talked about their respective days, Parker relating an interesting case he was working on and she about a new wish that they were planning on fulfilling. Nothing about the people she saw, that was dangerous territory. The evening ended, she went up early and was asleep by the time Parker came up. Before falling to sleep, she thought about the way they avoided each other in bed as they had for some time now. She was sad about that but didn't know how to change it. Maybe they should talk again? But, what about their jobs now? What about . . . Nothing happened for the next month as Madison worked hard on making several wishes come true for some very special children. She and Carol worked miracles in getting the arrangements made. One child wanted to meet his hero, Michael Jordan. One wanted to go to Hollywood to meet her favorite actress, Lindsey Lohan, while another wanted to go up in a jet fighter. Since time was always an issue with these children, it took every contact and every favor they were owed to pull these off but they did. Three dying children would get their last wish. The trip to Hollywood required a call to William Bethel and Madison agreed to make it herself. The call was difficult but she made it. When Bill answered, she clamped down on her emotions and asked him in a very businesslike manner about the plane. She explained quickly what it was for and Bill, just as quickly, agreed to provide the transportation at the requested time. They finished their business quickly and then Bill asked her. "Would you have lunch with me today? Just lunch? We should talk." Madison was about to say no when she thought about it. They really should talk, if for no other reason than to agree that what happened should never happen again. She steeled herself and agreed to meet him at 12:30 at the Hilton. She hung up before thinking that they should have met somewhere else. But, it made no difference. This was a business meeting and time to resolve an issue. Nothing more. Maybe she should have known, maybe she should have said she would meet him on neutral ground, maybe she should simply have let it go without trying to talk about it. Maybe a lot of things, but they would have all been lies. She wanted to be with Bill and they ended up in the suite again, but this time they didn't even have lunch first. When she met him in the lobby, he simply took her hand, led her to the elevators and it was much like the first time, except that they took more time with each other and the sex was more like making love. It was wonderful: slow, soft, gentle and sweet. They spent the afternoon together, talking, holding each other and making love twice. She felt alive and wonderful afterwards. She dressed this time with no hesitation, looking at her reflection in the mirror and seeing a woman, satisfied and happy. She left with the same feeling. As she reflected on her afternoon, she tried to understand her feelings. She knew she was fond of Bill and as a lover, he was fine. Not as good as Parker, of course, but still. Did she love him? Of course not! She loved Parker, and always would. Then, what was she doing? What if he found out? The answer was so frightening that she quickly suppressed those thoughts. Over the next five months, she met Bill three more times, each time less enjoyable than that second time. They tried, were gentle with each other, worked hard to bring pleasure to each other but things were not the same. She felt no guilt, no regrets, but she also felt little else. She hadn't had a climax the last two times and regardless of how she tired, couldn't get back the feeling she had when they first got together. She couldn't explain what was missing but something had changed. Bill was trying as hard as he knew how to bring her back to that peak they shared before. He was patient, worked to make sure she was wet and ready, asked her what she liked, everything he could think of but he could sense it wasn't the same. He saw her slipping away from him and it cut at him. He knew he was in love with Madison but also knew she didn't feel the same. At home, Madison had slowly become aware that Parker was different. He was working more hours at the firm now, where before he had brought work home. He sometimes called to say he would be late and for her not to wait up. He used to make plans for them for dinner out at least once or twice a week but recently had not even suggested it. She made plans once for a night out, but he cancelled it. She called Parker Jr. and Blair several times and casually asked them if they had heard from their dad but both said he hadn't been calling as he usually did. They just chalked it up to work demands. She agreed. Madison planned for Thanksgiving dinner to be at home this year. She had called Parker Jr., Blair, and Carol. All agreed to be there so she planned for nine, including her grandson Billy. Parker wasn't sure he could make it for dinner, but the rest of the family was coming. Parker Sr. said he would be home but expressed very little enthusiasm for the occasion. Madison tried to enlist his help, since he always loved to cook, but this year he simply said something about being too busy: maybe she should just take care of it. Madison was hurt by his attitude but hoped the dinner with his family would make him more pleasant. He loved his grandson and his children. Early in November, Bill called and asked her to meet him again. She thought about it for a week, planning to refuse, but finally decided to keep the meeting. She would have this one last time with Bill and then stop. She no longer felt the same and wanted to get back to her life with Parker. She was going to begin to change their life. Maybe it was time to turn over Wishes Unlimited to Carol and others. Maybe she and Parker should consider retiring and spending more time with each other. They were both healthy, they had plenty of money, and they had no worries about the future. Now would be the time to stop and enjoy each other and the things they had worked so hard to obtain. Her mind made up, Madison went about her work with a lighter step. She met Bill at the suite, going directly there without the pretense of lunch. Bill opened the door and greeted her with a hug and hard passionate kiss. She let him have his way and just enjoyed his attentions. He slowly undressed her, using his hands and his mouth to bring pleasure to her. She felt him nip at her nipples, something she always loved, felt his hand slide between her legs and begin to work her toward arousal. She did become wet very quickly, probably because she was so relaxed and willing. This was to be her last time and she planned on enjoying it. She let Bill lead her to the bedroom where she stepped back and stripped, trying to appear wanton and seductive. He watched, his tongue running over his lips as he became aroused and ready. He finally could take no more, grabbed her around the waist and pulled her down on his lap. He was hard and rigid and she used her hand to guide him inside her. She sat on his lap, facing him as she began to move up and down, watching his face as she did. He came quickly and she didn't really mind. As Bill slowly softened inside her, she stood, moved to the bed and lay back, watching him. He knew what she needed and rolled over beside her. He used his hands and his mouth to bring her to a climax, the only way she could cum. She let the pleasure wash over her and laid back pleasantly satisfied. Bill needed some time to regenerate so they talked together some while both recovered. There was little of them in their talk, more of business and wishes and practical matters. Madison thought about this as she waited for the second round. She let the conversation slow down and watched Bill. He seemed to be nervous and she thought he was aware of her decision. She hadn't said anything but Bill seemed almost desperate. He was handling himself, obviously trying to become aroused as quickly as possible. When she saw this, she smiled to herself and decided to help him along. The sooner he could get hard again, the sooner she could finish this. The Christmas Wish Madison reached over and took Bill in her hand. She began to slide her hand up and down his shaft, all the while looking directly into his eyes. It took little time for him to become firm and hard. Once she felt him sufficiently hard, she leaned back, holding her arms up for him to mount her. He did, she guided him inside her and lay back. Bill began to pump into her with long slow strokes that she enjoyed. But within only a few minutes, Bill became more and more aggressive, plunging into her with little grace and more brute force. While she didn't enjoy this as much, it was mildly exciting to feel him lose control. She tried to help him as he grunted and plunged inside her. She felt his body stiffen as his climax took hold. She wrapped her legs tightly around his waist as he came inside her. Then it was over. She let herself out of the room, carefully closing the door so as not to wake Bill. She walked quickly down the hall to the elevator, pushed the down button and was grateful that the doors opened without much delay. She pushed the button for the lobby and tapped her foot impatiently as the elevator descended the seven floors. She returned to work, being careful to come in the front as she always did and went into her office. She told her secretary she needed some time and then tried to come to grips with all that was bothering her. That afternoon with Bill had to be the last time. Even though she was very fond of him, it wasn't love. She loved Parker. That was the truth. What she had with Bill was something else. She had been too timid to tell him today but promised to write him a long letter, telling him that it had to be over. She owed him no explanation: he knew this was a temporary thing. He would understand. She also thought about Parker and their life together. She loved him without question and the thought of losing him was frightening. That thought alone caused her stomach to clench and acid to course up her throat, burning. How could she justify to herself her affair with William Bethel? There was no justification that meant anything, but she had done it anyway. If Parker ever found out, he would be devastated. That she could do this to him was almost enough to break her will. She fought the overwhelming fear and guilt that crashed over her with determination and promises to change. It was almost a losing battle and the grief threatened to destroy her but she came through it without breaking. Once she got hold of herself again and dragged her mind back to the present and the reality that was her life, her next thought was that somehow she had to break through the malaise that was strangling their marriage. That distance that was growing between her and Parker. That she could be the cause of it never entered her mind. In order to protect her from the guilt of her affair, her mind had built a wall between Madison and the reality of her situation. That wall cut her off from the truth but she didn't recognize it yet. It would come home to stay sooner that she realized. Thanksgiving was only a week away when Parker told her that he had some last minute business to take care of and he would be gone most of the week. When she complained, he simply told her that he had to take care of it now so he could spend Thanksgiving at home with family. She wanted to argue but he simply turned away and ignored her. His attitude hurt, but she let it go since he had promised to be there for the holiday. She continued to work on the dinner plans and carry on her duties at Wishes. Again, Parker's attitude did not register on her conscious mind as a problem. Nothing was going to spoil her dinner and her life was back on track. She was convinced of that. Carol came over early with George, who immediately retired to the den to turn on the TV. Football was to be the salvation of his day. Carol helped with the preparations and together they got the table set, everything in the oven and on the stove, condiments placed, sides readied and the turkey right on schedule. As things started to come together, Evelyn and little Billy came in, followed by Blair and Peter, her husband. The last one to arrive was Parker Sr. who had gone into the office earlier that morning. Evelyn said that Jr. would be along as soon as he could get off duty. He wanted to be there by dinner for sure. Madison followed Parker upstairs as he began to change clothes. She wanted a word with him before they went down to the family. "Parker, what's wrong? You've been withdrawn and acting strange now for a couple of weeks. Is it something at work? Is something wrong?" Parker continued to dress in his casual clothes, carefully hanging up his suit jacket and slacks. He didn't answer for the longest time and Madison was about to repeat the question when he turned, looked at her with the coldest look and answered. "There are problems, yes. I'm just not ready to discuss them with you yet. Maybe later after the children leave." He turned back and continued to dress. Madison looked at his back, taking note of the coldness in his voice and felt a small stab of fear in her breast. She wanted to force him to talk to her but knew that this wasn't the time. Instead, she rose without another word and walked back down to the kitchen. But for the first time, a question rose unbidden from a crack in the wall that shielded her from the truth. Could he know? But, as quick as it appeared, it receded into the background and her calm returned. No, of course not. He didn't know! That would be too terrible to consider. The dinner was a success and everyone enjoyed the closeness. It was rare that they were all together this way. Parker Jr. had arrived just in time for dinner and was even now finishing off a second piece of pumpkin pie. He and his dad were talking together and occasionally a laugh would spill out, making Madison smile. It was good to see them together. She was relaxed and pleased at the way things had turned out. She began the big job of putting things away with help from Carol, Blair and Evelyn. They made short work of it, making take-home plates for each of them. Parker and she wouldn't need that much for just the two of them. She was glad to see most of it gone to good homes. It was well into the evening after Carol and George, and Blair and Peter had gone. She was sitting with Evelyn in the kitchen drinking a cup of coffee while Parker and Jr. had gone into the den for some private talk. That wasn't unusual for the two of them. Billy was sound asleep on the couch in the living room while Madison was listening to Evelyn talk about his latest exploits. They were laughing about something when Jr. came into the kitchen. He stopped, looked at both of them without smiling, and then spoke to Evelyn. "Get Billy up and ready to go. I want to leave as soon as possible." He turned without a word of explanation and returned to the den where Parker was standing. They walked in together and the door shut again. "What in the world's gotten into him? They must be fighting about something for him to act like that. I guess I better get Billy ready to go. He'll be impossible until I do. Can you take the food out to the car while I get him ready?" "Of course. I'd like to know what's going on but I guess we'd do better talking to them alone. You go ahead. I'll get the stuff out to the car." It was only ten minutes before they were gone and the doors were closed for the night. Madison brought a cup of coffee into the den where Parker was still sitting and sat down in front of her husband. "OK. Now are you going to tell me what happened? The two of you have a fight or something?" I've never seen Jr. like that, so upset and angry." Parker looked at Madison for a few seconds before he replied to her question. "He was angry with someone that caused me a great deal of pain. He wanted to do something about it but I made him promise to keep it quiet for a while. That's all." "Who caused you pain? Was it someone at work? Did one of your clients do something to hurt you?" "No one at work. Someone here at home. Can you think of who that someone could be? Someone I love so much that her betrayal hurt me more than I could ever have imagined? Caused me pain unlike anything I have ever felt before? Betrayed everything I ever believed in?" Madison heard the words but she was unable to respond to them. The roaring in her ears was so loud she couldn't think. She wrapped her arms around her chest, trying to fight off the sudden chill that stabbed through her. Her heart was pounding but was unable to keep the blood from draining from her face, leaving her dizzy and unable to focus her eyes on Parker. She tried to speak but her throat was closed tight, making it difficult to breathe. She had to go to him, to make him take those words back, but when she tried to stand, her legs failed her and she fell sideways onto the side table, hitting her head. That was the last she remembered. She woke four days later in the hospital. The first person she saw was Carol, sitting beside her bed holding her hand. When her eyes opened, Carol jumped up and went into the hall, yelling for a nurse. All Madison knew was that her head hurt and she felt stiff and sore all over. She couldn't remember how she got here or what had happened. She was confused and very tired. She was drifting back to sleep when the nurse came in and poked at her, making her frown and mumble in irritation. The nurse seemed satisfied, did some things to her that she didn't understand but finally, left her alone. She went back to sleep. As her eyes opened sometime later, she saw only a dim light coming from the hallway outside the room. She knew it must be the middle of the night because there was no sound coming from the hall. She felt better, her head had stopped splitting and the aches were less than she remembered, but she was so very thirsty. She looked around but couldn't see anything. She moved her hands, preparatory to sitting up when she hit the call button. She pushed it first, hoping a nurse would come and find the water for her. She couldn't even talk. She was so dry. A nurse came almost immediately. She turned on a small light behind her bed and spoke to her. She was able to communicate her desire for water and the nurse poured a glass from a decanter beside her bed. She sipped blessedly cool water through a straw and felt much better. The nurse took her vital signs and told her to rest. She then turned out the light and left. Madison was beginning to function again and she felt wide awake and not ready to sleep. She lay there, trying to remember how she got here. She remembered Carol when she woke, but Carol didn't say anything. But, before Carol, where was she? Was she at work? Did she fall or something? Maybe she hit her head. That was a possibility since it was hurting so badly. She reached up to feel the bandage she expected and found one. It was just a little one, so a head injury was probably not the reason. She was pleased that this was the case. She should be able to remember. Slowly, as she relaxed and let her mind drift, she began to see images of a dinner. It was a dinner with family: then she remembered. It was Thanksgiving and all of her children had come home. Carol and her brother George were there as well. They had a wonderful dinner, and everyone had enjoyed it. She remembered Junior leaving last but not much after that. She and Parker had coffee together in the den after everyone left and they talked about, . . .! It was like a sudden jolt of electricity that went through her. She remembered! Parker knew! He found out about her affair with William! Oh, God, he knew! As she remembered, and the pain of her betrayal and Parker's knowledge of it stabbed through her again, she began to moan and twist in her bed. The memory of it was so intense. What had happened after he told her? She couldn't remember any more. Just the sudden pain and then . . . nothing! As she flailed about, the nurse came running in, snapping on the light and trying to hold her down. She was fighting her, trying to stop the pain in her heart and the pain in her mind that threatened to split her apart. She felt a sharp prick and then, nothing. She was floating, wondering if she had died and this was the afterlife. She felt nothing. Her body was disconnected and she was watching those around her. There was Carol, sitting beside her bed, Blair beside her. Evelyn was also there. They looked so worried. She was fine! She felt no pain, but she did wonder why she couldn't move. She looked at her arms and legs, and found no shackles. She did try to move one hand and found it did respond. That was something. She drifted back into her body. She tried the other hand and it also responded. So, she could move. She tried to speak and words did come out. "What happened?" The response from the others was immediate. Carol leaned over and said, "Thank God, you're back. You're going to be OK now. You had a heart attack and were recovering but then you went into a convulsive fit and they had to restrain you. You're OK now, just a lot of meds making you feel so slow." She looked up into the face of Carol, sitting there with so much concern. She was holding her hand and Madison knew she had to tell them the truth. "I know now what happened. I remember now. I was talking to Parker and he told me that he knew. Somehow he knew and he told me he did. That's all I remember before waking up here in the hospital." Carol was looking at her strangely and without understanding. She looked to Evelyn and Blair but both shook their heads, indicating that they knew nothing. Carol turned back and asked the question they all were wondering about. "He knew what? What did he know? He's not said anything to any of us. The only one who might know is Junior but he won't tell Evelyn anything. He just keeps saying it's all your fault. We don't know what he's talking about." Madison tried to stop the tears from coming but it was hopeless. She was more in control now that she remembered it all. The heart attack must have happened just as he told her. Maybe that's why she had the attack. Trying to kill herself first? Possible. "I had an affair. An affair with Bill Bethel. Somehow Parker found out and he told me when Junior and Evelyn left Thanksgiving evening. He found out!" The shock on their faces was almost comical. Shock, despair and disbelief. Carol was the only one that had an inkling that something like this was possible. Evelyn and Blair had no idea and were finding it hard to believe. Blair looked at Evelyn and nodded, beginning to see. "That's why dad hasn't been in to see you! He checks every day with the nurse's station to see about your status but he won't come into the room. He wouldn't say why. Now I guess I understand." Parker hadn't been in to see her at all? That was more than she could take. She turned her head away from the three and let herself go. She cried herself to sleep. She knew then that it was over. Parker would never forgive her. She knew that and she did it anyway. Why? That was the question she couldn't answer. Why? The doctor's told her the next day that she could be released in a day or two, once all the tests were complete and her diagnosis was confirmed. They told her the attack was mild and the blockage was open so she should have no complications. She was cooperative and did whatever they asked of her, but she had no real reason to want to leave since she had no idea of where she would go. Home was probably not the best idea. No one but Carol had been back to see her so she had no idea of what Parker was thinking. She was sitting in one of the chairs in her room the day she was due to be discharged when Parker came in. She was surprised to see him and stood as fast as she was able. Somehow she felt she needed to be standing. "Parker! I'm glad you came. I have so much to say to you and I don't know how to begin. I just want. . . . " "Please, Madison, sit down. I need to say some things and then I'll go. Please, sit." Madison sat, not knowing what else to do. It was clear Parker was in control. He wasn't going to let her speak, probably because Parker, as an attorney, understood the uselessness of excuses and pleading. He stood while she moved back to the bed and pulled herself up and onto it. He was dressed in a dark pinstriped suit with a starched white shirt and a dark blue tie. Because he worked out frequently, his stomach was still flat and his stance ramrod straight. His shoes were shined to a gleam as usual. He was impressive as he stood there with his clear blue eyes magnified by the wire rim glasses he wore. His hair was pure white and combed back over both ears. His face was still handsome: sharp chin, aquiline nose, and clear tanned skin. He was an impressive man, standing six foot two inches, and she had always been so proud to be beside him whenever they went out. "You're to be released today. I'll have a car at your disposal until you're able to drive yourself again. You can have the house. I've moved into the club until I make other arrangements. I've left all the accounts active and nothing will change." "Can't you stay at home? I'll move into the guest room so you can have the bedroom. We can talk about everything. Please, Parker, let me try to explain to you what I did. I know you can forgive me if you only try. I'm so sorry that I did it." "No, I can't forgive you. We've been married twenty-six years and you know me better than anyone on this earth. Why would you think I would accept what you did? Why would you ever think that? Please tell me that. Why would you think I could live with this?" "Because it meant nothing! I was stupid and I made a mistake. That's all it was; a mistake. It'll never happen again and I can make it up to you. We owe it to our children to try to make it work. Please Parker, please!" "I'm sorry. I can't. I understand you told Blair and Evelyn, but I never intended to tell them. I told Junior only because he had to know for financial reasons. He promised not to tell Evelyn. I don't know about George. I called him when you had your heart attack, but I didn't tell him anything." "They had to know what I did. I had to tell them. God, Parker, I'm so ashamed of myself. I'm so sorry I hurt you." "Yes, I believe you are. But, as I was saying. I'll file for divorce next week. I'll have my firm handle my end and I've asked Harold Palance from Palance and Palance to handle your end. I want everything to be fair." That was it. Madison broke down in tears and couldn't stop. She cried again and held her head in her hands as Parker looked on. If he had any feelings of compassion, it wasn't obvious as he simply let her cry. He waited until she was done before continuing. "I want you to know that I'm doing this for several reasons. First, you betrayed our vows and broke our contract with each other. Second, you did it without any attempt to give me a chance to correct any wrongs that you perceived in our marriage. Finally, on a more personal note, you humiliated me in front of several of my junior lawyers and some of my friends. You were seen at the Hilton the first time you met William Bethel." I was shocked at this revelation. I never even thought about what other people saw or thought. I was blind to everything. I was stupid, blind and thoughtless. No wonder he found out. How could he not? "I found out by accident. I was in the restroom at the firm when I overheard two of the young men talking about you. They thought it was amusing that the big guy's wife was cheating on him in public. They didn't know I was listening. When they left, I called one of our investigators and had him follow you. It was several weeks before the next time but he was there. I have it all." The Christmas Wish "What did you see? Did you see me with William, in the room? Oh God, please tell me you didn't see me in there with him. Please tell me!" I was in despair. If he saw me, I would die. I would be so ashamed that I would slit my wrists. I couldn't live with him seeing me that way. Somehow if he didn't see me, it was better. At least I could live with that. "No, I don't have video and I'm glad I didn't have to see that. What I know you did was bad enough. To actually see it would be more than I could stand." "Thank God. Just know that what you imagine is probably much worse than the reality. But that's better. You can believe what you wish, as I know you will. But the truth is much less terrible than you imagine. Please believe that." "It makes no difference. It's enough to know that you did it. I'll have to live with that pain for a long, long time." "Then why can't we try to work this out? We can share the pain. I'll take the pain from you and try to make it less. I'll try to make you forget it and we can go forward with our lives. Please, can't we try?" "No, I can't. You've hurt me more than you realize and to be around you would just remind me every day. I can't stand that pain anymore. I have to get away from you and try to learn to live with it. Please, understand what you've done to me. If you care, let me go." It was over. She knew it then for the first time. It was really over. She nodded at his words and let him leave. He left instructions for the car and the lawyers on her table and left. She was truly alone now. Only Carol and George remained. Junior and Evelyn, Blair and Peter had stopped visiting once they found out what she did. Carol came every day and George was there in the evenings after work. They were her family now. She went back home alone. The house was the same but she found all of his clothes gone, his personal items from the bathroom gone, the den empty of his books, his journals, his desk files, all gone. She walked around the house, touching things that he had given her, things they had obtained on trips, mementos of their special occasions, all of the pictures with them together, (none of which he had wanted), all signs of their life together. He had taken himself out of the house and left her with nothing but a shell. Nothing but memories of the love and the life they shared. The silence was overwhelming, enough to crush her with its absence of sounds of love and laughter. She walked from room to room, looking, touching, remembering, until she could remember no more. She went upstairs to the bedroom, looked at the bed they had shared for more than twenty years and lay down. Days and weeks went by with little impact on her. She went to meetings with the lawyers, talked to Carol about Wishes, listened to plans and simply agreed with anything Carol suggested to her. She never went in any more, just stayed home. When she called Blair, she got her voice mail. She tried Evelyn who listened but didn't say much, and finally asked her not to call again. Parker Jr. wouldn't even speak to her. Her life was composed of sleeping, eating when the need drove her to it, listening to lawyers and Carol and agreeing to whatever was put in front of her. That was her life. She vaguely wondered one day whatever happened to Bill. While she had no desire to see him or talk to him again, she was mildly curious. Enough so to ask Carol one day when she called. Carol was surprised that she didn't know that Bill's contract had been terminated and he was asked to leave the company. No explanation was given but Bill seemed to understand and resigned. He left the area and no one knew where he had gone. There was a new guy in charge and he was less cooperative than Bill. But, then, things were different now, weren't they. Parker somehow convinced a judge to expedite the divorce with only a thirty day waiting period and the final divorce papers were delivered one afternoon when Madison was just getting ready for a long nap. She had gotten up late, decided not to bother dressing and was still in her nightgown and robe when the door bell rang. She answered it with little interest to find a young man with an envelope standing there. She took the envelope, and thought about a tip but just closed the door instead. She took the envelope back to the kitchen, debated on whether to go upstairs for her nap or open it. Curiosity was just a little stronger than her apathy so she sat down and opened the envelope. She read the final decree. Parker had been true to his word. She had the house, the car, a monthly alimony that was more than enough to let her live without working, access to all accounts but with limits, all of the physical possessions in the house. All of the physical things that they built together, but without the love that she and Parker shared for twenty-six years. There was nothing of that in these papers. Of course not! She had thrown that away with her actions, so why would she look for it now? It would be final before New Year's Day. The divorce papers, making it all so final, did somehow raise Madison from the doldrums she had been living in. It was as if the papers said, 'It's finally over. No more uncertainty and hoping. Get on with it!' And she did. Christmas was past and things were beginning to come alive after the holiday so she went back to Wishes Unlimited, started to throw herself into her work, trying to find some pleasure in helping others. She badgered corporate leaders into giving more and more and the work went on: wishes were granted; kids were given some happiness in their worst times; families were given some joy in their children's happiness; and she became more and more of a force in the community. Her foundation became a symbol of hope to those whose hope had been destroyed or badly shaken, her name became synonymous with possibilities and she was busier that ever in her life. She celebrated the new year with Carol and George. Her family didn't invite her to their New Year's Eve party but she didn't expect it. Carol and George took her out to a club where they enjoyed a late dinner, some drinks, a lot of loud music and dancing and then a countdown to the New Year. It was 2006 and it was going to be a good year. Or so they said. She was asked to dance by several men there but she declined. Men held no interest for her now. They were not Parker. She did dance with George and enjoyed it. She and Carol got just a little tipsy which was fine since George didn't drink. He was the designated driver and let them have their fun. But even with the drinks, the company, the music and the laughter, Madison ended the evening as she began: alone and lonely. The new year was little different for her than the year before, except that she didn't have to go through the divorce again. That part of her life was over. She got on with her life. She sold the house: too big for just her. She bought a condo in the city near Wishes and she bought a small sports car. The Lincoln Parker bought her for their twenty-sixth anniversary was too big and she had places to go so she wanted something with a little more zip. She spent little money on clothes since she never went out and she had all the business suits she needed. She certainly had far more money than she needed, thanks to Parker and his generosity. She had it all, a condo, a sports car, money in the bank and a job that was gratifying. She had it all. Then why was she so alone? There were several wishes that Carol wanted to turn down since they would involve far more resources than they were used to providing, but Madison agreed to take them on. One in particular was a trip for a family of four: the daughter who was thirteen diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor wanted to go to Russia and see the Kremlin and Red Square. She wanted to see one of the parades they showed on TV. It was bizarre and Carol thought it would be dangerous but Madison took it on personally. It took her three months, time which the little girl couldn't really spare but she got it all set up. When she went to the family and told them, they wanted to forget it but the girl still wanted to go. The doctors said she could do it and it would pose no danger. They expected her to live only a few more months. The parents finally agreed and the trip was put in motion. It was a huge success, followed by photographers from the US and Russia and the girl was invited to sit on the balcony to watch a parade scheduled just in her honor. It was glorious and the girl was thrilled. She went everywhere she could, saw everything she could and the Russian people were kind to her. She looked as if she would live forever when the trip was concluded, but by the time they got back to the states, the girl was feverish and went in to a coma shortly after. She died two weeks later, but her family said that she died happy. That was all they knew and cared about. She died happy, thanks to Madison and her dedication. The success of the trip and the words of praise from the family made headlines. Madison avoided the cameras as much as possible and let Carol and some of the staff take the credit and the publicity. She was happy in the background. She wanted no praise and no credit. She did what she did for herself, to keep herself busy and not dwelling on her personal life. She wanted to stay busy and did so while the others took the credit. She noticed her picture in the paper one afternoon and noted that she looked pale and tired. She made a vow to avoid any more pictures. The summer passed with hard work and long hours filling her life. She was busy and that's what she wanted. She spent her days at Wishes, and her nights alone at the condo. That was her life and she was content with it. She wanted nothing more. When Carol invited her over for dinner with other guests, she understood that it was a fix-up party and she refused. When she was coupled with another, sometimes a man, she was polite but cool, friendly but aloof. She wanted nothing to do with any man or woman, for that matter. She had made peace with herself and there was room for no one else. The fall came with a reminder that it had been almost a year since she ruined her life, but the year had not been all bad. There were memories of wishes fulfilled, children and their families given a little joy in the midst of their grief. Some were better for it and had been able to say goodbye more easily. For that she was grateful and it made her lonely life just a little better. She received many letters and cards from those whose lives she had touched and she treasured them above all else. Her biological children had turned cold toward her but she had her other children, those she had helped, and they were kinder. She knew many by name and remembered them all. Thanksgiving was spent with Carol and George. Carol's family came and Madison spent some time with them but left early in the afternoon, once dinner was over and everyone retired to the family room for football and talks. She was an outsider and felt it keenly when family matters came up. No one wanted to remind her of the last Thanksgiving and they were being very careful but Madison felt the tension and decided to end it by leaving. She was graceful and made it seem that she had things to do but all she really wanted was to be by herself. She drove home, thinking about her life and what the future held. She knew what she was doing was not going to take her much further. She was just treading water. Work, sleep, work and do it all over again, day after day after day. Something had to change. As November came to a close and December blew in on a cold wind and a colder snow, she began to consider an ending to it all. She was doing nothing but surviving. There was no one in her life and she wanted no one else. She had committed to one man, the only man she had ever loved or wanted. But, by her own actions, she had driven him away. She knew many men, men who would be happy to become her friend and her lover. There were several who were divorced, or widowed, or just single for other reasons who wanted to be with her and give her male companionship of any kind. She knew them all and rejected them as one. She wanted no one else. That was a choice she made and was satisfied with. No one else could take his place. Her children had made their choice. They chose their father and in their lives, there wasn't room for her. They were cold to her and made it clear they would prefer if she stayed away. Parker Jr. had rejected her out of hand. He wouldn't even speak to her. She did talk to Evelyn but only when Jr. was gone. She knew Blair and Junior loved her. They said as much, but they didn't like her or what she did. So, they turned their backs on her. She didn't blame them but she did resent it. And that resentment made her sad. She decided one night as the wind blew cold and the snow piled up against her window that she would take her own life. It was a choice and one she decided was the only way out for her. She could continue to live this life, helping others and giving her time to them, but others could do that. She started something that now had a life of its own and would go on regardless of her. She even went to church, the one where she and Parker were married, and asked God for his help and direction, but he was also silent. If he did speak, his answer was obviously, 'No'. She decided to end it on Christmas eve. It seemed so perfect, so appropriate. Everyone she knew would be with their family and loved ones. They wouldn't miss her at all. No one would care where she was until days later at the soonest. There would be no one to mourn her, no family to grieve for her. She would do them all a favor and remove herself from their lives. It would be best for everyone. She was strangely at peace once that decision was made. She had a prescription for a strong sleeping pill that her doctor had given her. She had taken one and it made her so tired that she stopped taking them. She read the directions and found that an overdose could be fatal, so she saved the pills and got a refill. She then had more than enough to end her life. She put the pills back until it was time. At Wishes Unlimited, she worked as usual, giving Carol no clue of what she intended. She made plans for the next year, worked on budgets and fund raisers and plans for talks to groups that could help them. She also took on a few of the easier wishes just to remind herself of why she did this. It helped to see some happiness in the faces of the kids that knew this was to be their last Christmas. She felt a strong kinship with them. This was to be her last Christmas as well. Death would claim them as well as her. She felt a little guiltly, knowing they would choose differently if they could. She could choose differently but wouldn't. Three weeks before Christmas a wish that was to be fulfilled right after the first of the year was rescheduled, based on doctor's recommendation. It had to be done as soon a possible, or it was likely it would never happen. Carol called Madison in for a meeting. "Maddi, you know my family is coming in tomorrow to stay for the Christmas holidays? I haven't seen them for almost a year and I want to take as much time as I can to be with them. Well, the trip for the Alison family was scheduled for the first week in January, but because of her recent health problems, the doctors want to move it up." "How much up? Stop beating around the bush and just come out with it." Madison was laughing inwardly. She knew what Carol wanted to ask her, and since it was no problem for Madison, she would agree to spare Carol and agree to do the trip. She was glad to do it for her. One last good deed to those she loved. "Right away if we can. Can you do it for me? Please? I hate to ask but I really need this time with my grandkids." "Of course I'll do it. You know that. And anyway, I have no plans to break. Give me the file." "God bless you. I'll make it up to you, you'll see. Do you have any plans for the holidays that you have to change?" "No, no plans. My children don't want me around, and I have no one else in my life except this place and you. And George, of course." "I wish I could make it better for you. I hate seeing you this way." "Well, I sort of did that to myself, didn't I? I was stupid and thoughtless. I had it all, a great husband that I loved, two wonderful children that loved me and a life that any woman would die for. But it wasn't enough. I threw it all away for nothing." "I never understood why you did it. You never told me. Or anything about that time." "I was ashamed of it. I let my life at home with Parker slip without giving it the time and attention it needed. We were both too occupied outside our life together to see what was happening. I was feeling alone and neglected; unloved. But instead of talking to my husband as I should, I was distracted by a charming and thoughtful man who convinced me that I was still attractive and desirable. I started to spend time with him and I let him seduce me and I went willingly." "But Bill was a handsome and charming man. Who could blame you for being seduced by someone like him? Hell, it's a good thing you were dealing with him. I might have been tempted." "Thanks for trying to make it easier, but that's not true and we both know it. It was fun, the first couple of times, but honestly, it was just the excitement and the danger. It was never about love or passion or anything but what it was. A stupid sexual affair. At the end I was just going through the motions, trying to find the energy to stop it. It meant nothing and I knew it. As a matter of fact, it only pointed out what was wrong with my marriage. I had made up my mind to fix things when Parker told me it was over." "I remember that time. We almost lost you to depression. I worried about you, but then you came out of it." "The divorce being final was the wake up call." Madison sat there thinking back about it all. She was done crying, since that never helped. She considered the request from Carol to take the Alison family to San Francisco and a little bit of anger flared up inside. "You know what? We grant so many wishes to these families and we get so much pleasure out of it. But just once, just one time, I wish someone would grant me one of my wishes. Just one." "What would you wish for if it could be granted? What would be your wish?" With a sob that tore at Carol's heart, Madison said, "That Parker and my children would forgive me. Just forgive me." She stood up and walked quickly out of the room, leaving Carol sitting there watching her go. The pain was still there, regardless of how well Madison tried to hide it. She wished that there were some way to help her friend. Maybe there was something. . . . Two weeks before Christmas, Madison was sitting in the almost empty offices of Wishes Unlimited, reviewing the file on the Alison family. They were leaving the next day. Their wish was to see the city of San Francisco and to visit the hill top stores, the bay area with its houseboats and the city proper. The girl, Lena, had terminal cancer. This was her wish and her family wanted desperately to give it to her. As with most families in this situation, money was tight due to excessive medical bills. They couldn't afford to do it so Wishes Unlimited had agreed to provide Lena and her family with Lena's wish. Madison met the family, two girls, Lena eleven and Melissa twelve, the mother and father, both young and desperate. They were losing one of their girls and the pain was clear on their faces. But, they were strong for Lena. Madison saw the grief on their faces and knew she was blessed to be able to help people like this. She felt guilt for only a second before remembering the foundation she had created would go on without her. She wouldn't be missed. There was more than enough grief to go around. The Christmas Wish The flight was smooth, and on time. It was a chartered flight with just the family. The plane was donated by a movie star and he was also the pilot. Madison had met him, thanked him for his generosity and wrangled a promise of at least two more trips in the coming year. She was very good at what she did. There was a limousine waiting at the airport for them and she loaded the family inside. The trip to the hotel was short but made more exciting by the interior of the limo. No one in that family had even been inside one before and it added to the trip. Once checked into the hotel, Madison made some calls and within an hour had three tours set up. She went on the first with the family and then went back to the hotel until later when she met them for dinner. Lena was tired but happy and she couldn't stop talking about the things she had done and seen that day. She was excited about tomorrow and doubted she would sleep that night. She looked pale and tired but she was not daunted. Madison had a difficult time holding back her tears as she watched the family rally around one of their own that was wounded. It tore her heart to see this much love. She excused herself to spare the others her tears. Their strength demanded hers. Back in her room on the last evening, she got a map to check a location for a special request. She found what she was looking for, made a call to confirm that the place would be open when they went and made her plans. To be safe, she called Melissa's mother and told her of her daughter's request, getting the mother's permission. This was a special request, not for Lena but for her sister, Melissa. Madison had promised. She sat back, considered taking a shower but instead, put on a dark sweater and waited until it was time. At 10:00 on the dot, she rose, went down the hall to Melissa's room and knocked. Melissa answered almost immediately and motioned her in, looking up and down the hall. She smiled inwardly but did as she asked. She shut the door. "Is it time? Can we go now? I'm ready." Melissa was excited and her face glowed. "It's time. We'll go down to the lobby and take a taxi. Get your coat. It's very cold outside." Melissa grabbed a red coat with a hood trimmed in white fur, and a pair of red gloves and shiny black boots. She put them on and Madison thought that she looked for all the world like a Christmas elf, ready to help load Santa's sleigh. They slipped out the door, down the hall and then down the stairs. At this time of night, there was nobody moving but them. They went out the back way, around to the corner where Madison signaled a taxi. Madison gave the cabby the address and they were whisked quickly to the church where they got out. Melissa stopped in front of the church and just stared up at the high bell tower and the cross, sitting on top. To Madison, the church appeared to be nothing special, just one of the many churches in San Francisco. It was beautiful, she had to agree but she couldn't understand Melissa's obsession with it. She watched the girl without comment and waited until she had finished her fascination with the cross. When Melissa went up the steps to the doors, Madison followed. Inside, Melissa went to the fount in the entrance, dipped her fingers in the holy water, touched her brow, and then went in. There were several people there, just sitting quietly, gazing at the altar where the face of Christ on the cross gazed down on them. Melissa went down to the very front, knelt, made the sign of the cross and then came back toward the middle rows. She slid in and knelt forward on the kneeling rail. Madison, not a Catholic, and not even very religious, watched. She was touched at the dedication of the twelve-year-old, and was glad she brought her. It was something she could do to make her trip here special. Melissa's family was staying at the hotel until tomorrow, when they would all head back to Philadelphia and home. Melissa had stayed mainly in the background during the days before and said little. This wasn't her trip and she let her sister have the pleasure and didn't complain once. It was by accident that Madison found out her desire to see this church. They were talking together one afternoon while Lena was enjoying the view of the bay from one of the hillside shops. Melissa mentioned the church and asked Madison if she knew where it was. Madison told her and Melissa said she would like to go. Madison promised she would make sure that Melissa saw it, and now they were here. Melissa wanted to keep it from Lena and her family for her own reasons. Madison accepted that without question. Wishes Unlimited often helped other family members to cope with the looming death of a loved one in their own way. This was Melissa's way and Madison would honor it. She stood in the entrance, watching Melissa pray. She had no idea of what it was she was praying for, but imagined it had to do with her ill sister. Melissa seemed the type to do what she could for others. She was a sweet girl and Madison was happy to have been able to help her. As she watched, thinking of her own sad life, she wondered once again, why she had destroyed her marriage but once again, she had no answer. The thought of what she lost caused her eyes to glisten with tears as the sadness threatened to overwhelm her again as it did so often now. She tried to pull herself back to the young girl she was here for and sighed, trying to concentrate on Melissa, but the sadness came anyway and she surrendered to it. It was almost a friend now and she welcomed it as one of the few emotions that she still felt. Otherwise, she was numb inside. But that would all come to an end Christmas Eve. As she focused again on the young girl kneeling, Madison could swear that there was a soft glow about Melissa. It seemed to come from within her and illuminated her head and shoulders as she knelt there in prayer. Madison blinked, wiped her eyes and looked again. The glow was still there. As she tried to make sense of what she was seeing, she felt a calm wash over her. Instead of wondering, she felt a sense of wonder. Her pain disappeared and her loneliness seemed not to be so bad. Suddenly, she was content and a warmth flowed into her. She moved back, once again wiped her eyes and looked for the young girl and that magical glow. Instead, she saw Melissa standing and moving down the aisle, coming back to where she was standing. Shaken, Madison watched her come up the aisle. There was nothing unusual now and Melissa seemed calm. "Thank you for bringing me here tonight. I can't tell you how much it means to me." Melissa took her hand and raised it to her lips, looking into her eyes. It was a sweet gesture and Madison forgot all about what she thought she had seen and hugged the little girl to her. "I'm glad I could bring you. Did you do what you wanted to do? We have time if there's more you want to do. I don't mind." "No, I'm done. We can go now. And thank you again." As they moved out of the church and down the steps, Melissa turned to Madison and said, "Everything will be better for you now. You won't be sad anymore." She turned away and walked down to the curb, waiting for the taxi to take them back. Madison was stunned and wanted to ask the girl what she meant but when she got there, a cab was just coming around the corner so Madison flagged it down. They got in and headed back to the hotel. It was a short trip and Madison respected Melissa's need for quiet and said nothing. Madison led Melissa back upstairs and saw her to her room without asking her what she meant. It was probably just Melissa's way of saying that they could go home and Madison could get back to her family. She didn't know Madison's plight so she just assumed she would be with her own family, so rather than go into it, Madison let it go and just forgot about it. The flight home the next day was uneventful and the family was tired but happy. Lena looked better but it was probably just adrenalin. Madison hoped she could enjoy Christmas and maybe even New Years, but it wasn't certain. She saw them off, said a private goodbye to Melissa and then caught a cab home. She got back to her condo just after midnight, a week before Christmas. Her condo wasn't decorated since she had no particular interest in Christmas anymore. Carol had called and left a message, asking her to join them for Christmas eve dinner but she didn't call back. Carol was with her family and she should enjoy them. She saw a call from Evelyn and listened to the message. Evelyn wished her a merry Christmas and hoped she was OK. Call if she needed anything. Sure. Call if she needed anything. Was she being sarcastic? Or just cruel? Madison erased the message and fixed herself some hot tea. She needed to sleep. That's what she needed. Damn jet lag. She went to bed early, not really caring that Christmas was only a few days away. She had sent a present to little Billy in care of his mother. She assumed Junior was not cruel enough to deprive his own son of a new pair of sneakers just because he hated his mother. If he did, he should be ashamed. She hadn't done anything to her grandson. He was too little to understand what she had done. He was just a kid. The week before Christmas was a week off for Wishes Unlimited. All of the employees and volunteers needed the time with their families, so the doors were closed. Madison got up late the first day of the holiday. She slept in without any guilt. No one was knocking on her door, no one was waiting to deliver presents, there was no tree to gather around and no Christmas candy to make the little ones sick. What there was, was silence. In that silence, she began to make her preparations. She wanted to update her will and have it notarized, she wanted to make disposition of all her possessions and make sure there were no unpaid bills and no outstanding debts. She was going to make sure to leave with as little fanfare as possible. She finished everything and left that afternoon for her lawyer's office. It was the one Parker recommended during their divorce. She had become friends with Harold, the senior member of the firm and he took care of all of her affairs now. He had been very kind during the divorce and made it as painless as possible. He never gave her the impression that he judged her in any way. She appreciated that more now that everyone else did. When she gave him the new will and a list of her wishes, he looked at her strangely but she simply told him that it was habit to be up to date. He seemed to accept that and took the notes, telling her it would be ready in a week or so. She asked for, and he gave her, a letter of intent to sign, making the changes official so that even if something happened to her, it would be official. She left the office to return home. After she left, Harold Palance thought about what had just happened and finally made a decision. He picked up the phone and made a call. That chore completed, she drove back to the condo and began to pack her clothes away. She wanted to make sure they went to the charity that Wishes worked closely with. They would make good use of them. She did the same with her jewelry and other personal items not willed to someone. She was very thorough, just as Parker had taught her. He was very particular that way. She had learned and now applied her knowledge as he would expect. She had other, small chores to attend to and she took the rest of the week just to do that. She was in no hurry. She still had two days when she was finished. Her final act was to write one letter to each of her children, one to George and Carol, and one to Parker. The one to Parker was just a note, short and to the point. As a lawyer, he would appreciate that. No arguments, no pleadings, no attempt at leniency or mercy. Just a simple statement, as she would give as a witness for the opposing council. "Parker, I'm sorry and I hope you can forgive me one day. All my love, Maddi" She read it again, sealed it in an envelope with his name on the outside and set it on the desk with the others. Those letters had more explanation and wishes for their futures and their lives, but they were also short. No reason to go into a lot of unnecessary detail. It was simple; she screwed up and they knew it. The day before Christmas, Carol and George called again to invite her over for dinner with the family. Once again, she refused after thanking them for the invitation. She assured them that she would be home and that they didn't have to worry about her. Carol was insistent that she stay in and not try to go anywhere. She assured them again that she would be home, comfortably dressed and relaxed. They wished her a Merry Christmas and hung up. As promised, Christmas eve found her sitting in front of her TV, watching a choir of young boys singing hymns. She loved the sound and listened to several as she prepared herself for the end. She thought again about what she was about to do but found no reason not to follow through. As she listened to a beautiful rendition of 'O Holy Night,' her favorite, she went into the medicine cabinet and got the pills. She crushed them into a powder which she put in a glass that she would later fill with wine. It was a good red, a Chardonnay, and a favorite of Parker's. He had introduced her to wines and she found she loved them as he did. She wanted to dress for the occasion so laid out a beautiful pair of red silk pajamas with a matching red silk jacket. Parker bought the set for her on their twenty-fifth anniversary. She had never worn them, keeping them for a special occasion. This would certainly qualify as special. She was about to take a warm shower before changing when the phone rang. She considered ignoring it but didn't want to chance anyone coming over this evening. She intended for this night to be for the family and she had no desire to ruin the evening for anyone. So, she answered, thinking it was Carol again trying to make sure she was OK. "Hello?" "Mrs. Long? Is that you?" That certainly wasn't Carol or any of her family. Madison thought she recognized the voice but wasn't totally sure. "Is this Melissa? Melissa Alison?" "Yes, it's me. I need you Mrs. Long. I really need you." "What's happened? Are you all right? What's wrong?" "They took Lena to the hospital and she's very sick. She might not make it. They left me a note. I wasn't home when they left so I'm by myself. Could you come and stay with me? Please? I'm scared she's going to die and I'll be here alone. Please, Mrs. Long?" Madison groaned inwardly. This was the wrong time for this. She had given everything she had during the year. She gave all she had, so why couldn't she be left in peace to just die? Why? Did she have to continue to be punished for her mistake? Her only wish was to die in peace and be finished with this pain in her heart. But, Melissa was in trouble and she couldn't let her spend this time alone. Damn! "I'll be there in twenty minutes. Just stay calm and wait for me. OK Melissa? Can you do that?" "Yes, oh yes! Thank you so much Mrs. Long. Thank you. Please hurry." Madison looked around at her preparations. Well, they could wait. What she was going to do didn't need to be rushed. She had time, lots of time. And no one would disturb her on Christmas Eve or Christmas day so tomorrow, or later tonight would be just fine. She left everything as it was, the glass with the powder, the bottle of wine in the ice bucket, her pajamas and jacket, and the letters. She glanced at the letters once more before she went out the door. Of course it was snowing, she thought in disgust. That would make her trip to Melissa's even more of a problem. She idly thought about the snow and that this would be a white Christmas for a lot of kids, but she really didn't care. It just made her trip longer. She drove the little sports car she still loved to Melissa's house and pulled into the drive. The snow had begun to accumulate but it wasn't a real problem yet. Maybe it would just snow a little, for the kids, and then it could go away like a decent snow. She went to the door and knocked. Melissa was there waiting for her. Inside, she looked around at the plain house and thought that she had never seen a sadder room. It was simple, done in beige tones and plaids and looked well used, but all the pictures were of the family and the tree in the corner was large and decorated with colored lights. It was full to bursting with ornaments and garland and lights and all the things that made a tree special. Under it were just a few packages, but strangely enough, it didn't seem to be sparse. It seemed to be special. The burn behind her eyes threatened to bring more tears but she blinked them back and turned to Melissa. "Have you heard anything? Did they call?" "Yes, Mom called. Lena is very sick but they don't know anything yet. I told her that you were on the way. She was happy about that." "Well, that's good. Do you want to go to the hospital? See them? I could take you." "I'd rather go to church. Could we go to your church? I want to pray there. It's your church and you're a good person so it should be a good place to pray. Can we?" Madison was taken aback. She, a good person? But then, Melissa didn't really know what she had done and now, what she planned. She probably wouldn't think of her as a good person then, would she? Well, she could take her to the church. It wouldn't be a big deal and they could wait for her parents there. Closer to home and closer to what she wanted to do anyway. Well, later was OK. She still had plenty of time. She glanced at her watch to see it was just after 10:00. Plenty of time. They drove to the church and went in. Christmas Eve was a busy time for the church and there were a lot of people there. They went in, found seats in the rows toward the front and slid in. Madison just watched while the young girl prayed. It was almost an hour later when Madison felt her phone buzz and she rose to move to the side to take the call. It was Melissa's dad. Lena was better and they were bringing her home. Madison told them to go ahead and she would get Melissa back. Relief washed over her as she gathered Melissa for the trip home. Soon now. Very soon. She dropped Melissa off at her place, politely refused a hot drink and wished her a Merry Christmas before heading home. As Melissa started up the steps to her home, she turned to Madison and just as in San Francisco, spoke to her with a strange look on her face. "Tonight he will grant your wish." Madison was about to ask her what she meant when her father opened the door and rushed down to grab his daughter and send a 'Thank you' to Madison before going inside. Madison watched the door close, shrugged her shoulders, dismissing the words as another misunderstanding and then started back home. There was still time for her to make it back, get herself ready and end her misery once and for all. She thought of the wine and the powder and the red pajamas. The thought gave her a feeling of peace. It would soon be over. All of the pain, the sadness, the hurt knowing what she had done to Parker. That was probably the worst of it; the pain Parker felt when he discovered her betrayal. He had loved her and she had hurt him deeply. That brought tears whenever she remembered. How could she have hurt someone she loved so badly? Soon. Very soon. These thoughts were making driving difficult, the tears blurring the lights and making it difficult to see. She had to think of something else. Tonight! Yes. Her plans. She was thinking about taking a nice warm shower when a car pulled out of a side street directly into her path. She saw it coming but too late to swerve. She jammed on the brakes, praying she could stop in time but the car began to slew sideways on the slippery road. She watched helplessly as her car headed directly for a light pole. The sickening jolt as she hit was enough to cause her to temporarily lose consciousness. She was out for only a second and when she looked again, the other car was disappearing off in the distance. She was alone. The Christmas Wish Disclaimer: All incidents in this story are truly fictional any. Names have been changes to protect the real people involved. * It as started around December of 2000. My girlfriend at the time Jamie asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I jokingly said a threesome with her and another girl, knowing it was would never happen. She said well I will work on that, is there anything else you wanted. So I gave her the usual list of CDs and DVDs that had come out that I would like to add to my collection. Well, a few days went by and I was over at her parent's house with her and her mom told me that she heard about the gift idea that I wanted. We all started laughing, I said I was joking. But I also wondered why she told her mom. Anyway we discussed different stuff we had seen that we would have liked to have and I took notes and everyone wish lists. Let me stop her and describe Jamie, she is about 5'2" around 130 lbs with long auburn hair. 34B tits with a cute little ass. We had fooled around a few times before so I knew she didn't shave, but kept her pussy nice and trimmed. Her mom her name is Susan and she is around the same height but only weighed about 120lbs with long curly blond hair. And I would be guessing here but she looks like she has about the same bust size if not smaller. And just smokin' hot. I went shopping with them a few times to make sure I wasn't getting them the same gifts. Jamie and I talked and she said that they would be exchanging gifts on the 24th so they could go see her grandparents on Christmas Day. I said ok. Then she said I hope you like what I got you, it wasn't on your list but when I saw it I thought of you. I said I am sure if you picked it out I will like it. When we got back to their house, Susan told he me to be there 3pm and the 24th. I said ok see you then. I got hope and wrapped all the gifts. The morning of the 24th came and I got myself ready and the truck loaded and headed over to Jamie's. When I got there Jamie and Susan were in the kitchen fixing dinner, so I took a seat on the couch to watch some TV. Jamie came in and set with me and cuddled up to me. Were like that when her mom came in about an hour later and asked if we wanted to rent a movie off pat per view. We said sure. So we said you pick. She started going through the channel and to me surprise stopped on adult film. She asked if that was ok. We said yea. Well about twenty minutes into the movie Jamie asked if anyone else was warm and Susan said yes. So, Jamie went to turn up the air. While she was gone I noticed that Susan had her hand down her pants and was moving her fingers over her mound. I couldn't believe it her I was at my girlfriend's house and her mom was playing with herself right in front of me. The scene on the screen was a young couple making out in a kitchen and in the background and older woman was watching. Pretty soon I could tell Susan's breathing had changed. It was now a little faster and heavier. Then Jamie came back and set down next to me again, but I could take my eyes off Susan. I guess Jamie noticed I wasn't watching the movie, but her mom. Then she noticed what her mom was doing. Then without warning I felt a hand on my semi-hard cock. I looked down and Jamie is playing with me in front on her mom, although Susan eyes never left the TV I knew she had to see. Then like nothing was happening Susan stood up and announced she had to take a restroom break and while she was up could she get anyone a drink? We said no and she left the room. While she was gone Jamie asked if I like the movie I said yea. The n she asked how about my mom. All I could say was "WOW. Did you see your mom she was playing with herself right here in front of us." Then without warning she unzipped my jeans and released my rock hard cock. I looked at her said "What are you doing?" "What if you mom comes back?" Jamie said, "Then she will get a good show." And with that started stroking my cock. I just closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment. Then I felt her slide my cock between her soft wet lips as she began to suck me. In the background I heard the toilet flush and I came back from my trance and told Jamie we shouldn't be doing this and that her mom would be back any minute. Then we heard "I am back." Jamie released my cock from her warm embrace and I turned my head at the same time. My mouth dropped to the floor, there was Susan standing there completely nude. First I noticed the nice tits on her chest, yes they were a little smaller then Jamie, then I noticed the completely shaven mound between her legs. Then I looked at Jamie she was smiling and looking back at me. And with those ever so soft lips she said. "Are you ready for you Christmas present." I couldn't believe it I was about to get my ultimate fantasy. Susan walked up to us and told Jamie that she would take over awhile she got undressed. With that Jamie stood up and traded places with her mom. Feeling the hardness and the heat from my cock she turned to Jamie and said "I think will be more a present for us than him." Then they both laughed. While Susan began stroking me I looked over at Jamie, man she was beautiful. I watched her as she stripped and nearly came right there. Then I looked down at Susan on her knees between my legs with my cock in her hand. I thought if I died now I would be a satisfied man. Soon we were all naked on the living room floor. They asked me since this was my present what would I like to see or do first. I told them I have always wanted to see a mother and daughter eat each other out. So I instructed then to position themselves with Susan on her back with her legs spread. I then told Jamie to spread her pussy over her mom's face and begin eating her mom out while Susan eats her out too. I was sitting back enjoying the moans and gasps when Jamie raised her head up and said "I need your dick in me." So I told them to stay in their spots and I positioned myself behind Jamie and slowly inserted my cock into her pussy while Susan sucked on her clit. At this point Jamie was moaning and I was thinking to myself, is this really happening? As I was fucking Jamie I felt hands massaging my balls. I looked down and there was Susan rubbing her soft hands all over my balls. Then she slowly made her way up to my shaft. I then allowed her to take a hold of my cock and remove it from Jamie's wet pussy. Susan put my dick in her mouth and ever so slowly began sucking the juices from her daughter's pussy from my dick. I couldn't hold back anymore. I came so hard in Susan's mouth. She drank every last drop. So at this point I figured this is the end of my present. I said "Wow. That was some present Jamie. How did you ever get your mom to agree to this?" That's when Susan said, "We are not finish big boy. While you get your strength back Jamie and I are going to entertain you." So I got back on the couch and got ready for the show. It was great to say the least. It started out with Susan eating Jamie out until she came. Then it was Susan's turn for a great orgasm. All the while my dick was growing inch by inch at the spectacle in front of me. Jamie noticed it first and whispered something to her mother. Jamie moved away from her mother's pussy and Susan said "Hey stud I want some of that dick you gave Jamie earlier." I said "Why some you can have it all." I made my way to her on the floor and Jamie and I switched places. I got down between Susan's legs and said, "Before I fuck you I want to taste that sweet looking pussy first." She said, "Go ahead." So I begin with a lick along the inside of both lips. Then I make my way to her hot love tunnel and the juices started flowing. Man she tasted so sweet. It is amazing how much mother and daughter taste alike. Susan started gyrating her hips to help me get further into her snatch, like I needed any help, but I gladly took it. I then made my way to her clit where I found it to be erect like a small penis. I began to suck on it and she went wild. She was bucking and humping the air. I knew she was close to cumming so I kept up the rhythm I has started and in no time she was cumming. It was like a fountain went off. There was pussy juice everywhere. I sucked up as much as I could. I looked over at Jamie and she was fingering herself, and from the look on her face was just about ready cum as well. Susan must have seen noticed it too cause she got up and went over to help her daughter out. When Jamie came she drenched her mom's face with her pussy juice. Susan then turned back to me and said; "Now I need a big cock in me." So I got down on the floor and laid on my back. Susan then straddled me and lowered herself down on to me throbbing cock. Boy her tits sure looked good at this angle. Anyway she slowly lowered herself onto me. Taking my cock inch by inch. She finally had it all the way in and she paused for moment allowing her pussy to get use to such a large object. Once her pussy got use to it she started slowly moving up and down my shaft. The she upped the speed and pretty soon she was riding like a bronco. She was moaning with every stroke. I looked over at Jamie and she was fingering herself watching her mom ride her boyfriend. Pretty soon I could feel myself getting ready to cum. I guess Susan could feel it too cause she kept saying "a little longer big boy, a little longer." Finally I was at the point of no return when Susan climbed off and motioned for Jamie to join her at my cock. Which she gladly did. They switched off, both blowing me and then giving it to the other. Then I said "Here it cums!" As I came I sprayed both of them right across the face. I fell back onto the floor to catch my breath. When I looked up they were cleaning my cum off each other with their tongues. As I regained my strength I looked at both of them and said, "This is the best Christmas so far." Susan the said " Wait until next year." We spent the rest of the day curled up on the couch watching TV. I left them that night and driving back to my house I got to thinking. Wow! Christmas really is the season of giving.
