Only a member of the club would be able to get to the nondescript building that was hidden deep within the labyrinth of London's back alleys. There was a high price to become a member of the club, and there were numerous people throughout the world that were more than willing to kill for the opportunity. Numerous muscular men, in various stages of undress, relaxed around the bar area waiting to see if any of the patrons were interested in a night of exotic fun. Sultry jazz music gently flowed through the room from hidden speakers giving a touch of class to the bordello atmosphere in the lounge. Older gentlemen sat at the bar, drinking and discussing business, all the while watching and lusting after the young men that strutted around them. A tall, black haired man entered the lounge through a set of mahogany double doors. His honey golden skin was enhanced by the skin tight white leather pants that adorned the lower half of his body. The pants were so tight they left little to the imagination and most of the eyes that were focused on him wondered how on earth he had managed to even get into the supple leather. His chest was bare, his thick, hard muscles on display for all to see. If one looked closely enough, they would be able to see the small tattoo of a bird in flight that rested right above the waist of the leather pants on his abs. The new, mysterious man walked confidently over to one of the pool tables near the back of the room. He stretched back against it, the muscles of his chest bunching and flexing from the movement. Unlike the rest of the callboys, the man gazed around the room, looking completely bored. The lack of interest that surrounded the beautiful man seemed to put off many in the room, leaving them afraid to approach him out of fear of rejection. Edgar Meyers stepped into the room, his portly frame almost blocking the doorway. The minimal light in the room seemed to draw even more attention to his thinning gray hair. There were only two things that most Companions' patrons cared about, looks and money. Edgar may have been severely lacking in the former, but he more than made up for that in the latter. Meyers Communications was one of the leading communications firms in the entire world, providing Edgar with a net worth of close to a billion dollars. Edgar waddled his way over to the bar, his eyes scanning over the room for any new fresh faces. His eyes were immediately drawn to the man lounging against one of the pool tables. He licked his lips in hunger as his eyes traveled over the very pronounced basket clad in white leather. Edgar ordered a vodka on the rocks while waiting to see if anyone approached the club's hottest boy toy. Over the next half-hour he sipped his drink and was surprised that no one had approached the raving beauty. After finishing his alcoholic appetizer Edgar made his way over to the young stud as fast as his body would allow him to. His massive body tingling in anticipation as he imagined all the things he wanted to do to the dark haired stud. As he approached his prey, the man barely looked at him. This did not deter Edgar in any way, he was certainly used to being overlooked by the hot young men in the club. "How much?" Edgar wasted no time in asking the question as he stood in front of the young man. He wanted action and would waste no time on small talk. "Fifty thousand." The dark haired man replied after a few moments, his voice soft with a faint trace of a German accent. "In cash, US dollars." "And what exactly do you do that requires such a high fee?" Edgar was shocked at the price, but he quickly comprehended why no one else had approached the gorgeous man. "Anything you want." The man purred as he leaned in close to Edgar, the fresh scent of his skin permeating through Edgar's senses. "What is your name?" Edgar ran one of his stubby fingers slowly over the man's bare chest. "Stefan." His prey quietly replied. "A sexy name for such a sexy man." Edgar growled, his body responding to Stefan's accent. Stefan watched as Edgar's eyes burned with lust and desire. Both men knew that the money would be paid. Edgar placed a quiet call to one of his bodyguards, who were waiting outside since only the club's patrons could enter the building. After twenty minutes of waiting, as Edgar continued to play with Stefan's muscular chest, one of the club's staff brought a silver briefcase over to them. Edgar discreetly opened the case, showing Stefan the cash he requested. Stefan smiled and adjusted the front of his pants before leading Edgar through a labyrinth of hallways and staircases. After nearly ten minutes, Stefan led Edgar into a beautifully decorated bedroom. A king-sized four poster bed stood majestically in the center of the room. The room was done in rich, dark earth tones with a roaring fire blazing in a large opulent fireplace. Two small black leather couches formed a small sitting area around the warming fire. "Sit." Edgar commanded Stefan as he pointed at the bed before lumbering over to the small bar that was set up by one of the windows on the wall behind the bed. Stefan unsnapped the button on his pants and carefully lowered the zipper a few inches on his leather pants. The skin revealed was the same golden color of his upper body, showing that no tan lines marred his beautiful skin. He sat down on the edge of the bed, leaning back on his elbows. His body was put on display for his wealthy customer. Edgar licked his lips in hunger as he moved towards the bed, two flutes of champagne clutched in his chubby hands. He handed one of the glasses to Stefan while raising his own in a toast. Edgar's eyes raked over Stefan's body as the sweet liquid rushed through his mouth, his mind fixating on another sweet nectar. His large body pulsed with excitement and desire. His eyes focused on the black and silver bird tattooed on Stefan's stomach. It seemed to be flying out of the man's now opened pants. Stefan lounged comfortably under Edgar's hungry gaze. Stefan raised his glass to his lips, but did not drink. Instead, as the glass reached his lips, he tilted his hand causing the expensive liquid to pour down onto his body. Edgar's eyes widened as he watched the golden fluid rush down over Stefan's muscular chest. Stefan crunched his stomach tight causing the champagne to pool around his navel. His eyes burned with lust as he stared at Edgar. "Bottoms up." Stefan's voice purred with sex. Edgar's own glass fell to the plush carpeting of the floor, completely forgotten as he moved over Stefan's body. Stefan's head tilted back with a seductive groan as he felt Edgar's eager mouth and tongue lick and suck over his champagne soaked abs. The sound caused Edgar to become even more frantic as he gently chewed and sucked on his hired lover's body. Stefan growled in approval and arched his body into the touch. His hands wrapping around Edgar's balding head, pulling him even harder against his body. Edgar did not pull away from Stefan's hot body until he was sure he had licked every drop of moisture from the hard abs. Edgar stared up greedily at Stefan as he licked his lips. Stefan grinned and gently stroked the side of Edgar's face. Edgar was too focused on the sexy body in front of him to realize his tongue and lips had a black tint to them. "S…so s…sexy." Edgar's voice was slurred and sloppy. His head suddenly felt very foggy and heavy. As he blinked his eyes, trying to get his vision to focus, he noticed the blurred dark smudge on Stefan's body, a smudge where the tattoo should have been but was suddenly gone. His eyes narrowed at Stefan. "Wha…what did you d…do to me?" Stefan's sexy grin slowly faded away, being replaced with an icy, calm gaze. His legs raised up as he placed his bare feet against Edgar's shoulders. Stefan pushed gently off of the man, somersaulting backwards into a kneeling position on the bed. He pulled a tissue out of his back pocket and wiped the remaining black residue of the fake tattoo off of his stomach. Edgar groaned as the room began to tilt and spin around him. Stefan's gentle push caused him to fall to the floor on his back as his eyes began to glaze over. The last thing he saw before calling darkness claimed him was Stefan standing over him, his god-like body glowing in the warm firelight. Stefan stood perfectly still watching Edgar, not moving until Edgar's breathing was deep and even, confirming that he was in a trance-like slumber. Stefan moved to the other side of the bed and pulled a duffel bag out from underneath it. He retrieved a long sleeved black dress shirt out of the bag and quickly put it on. Stefan's nimble fingers pulled the zipper on his pants the rest of the way down. He pulled the pants off and began to turn them inside out. In only a matter of moments the pure white leather pants had become an inky, dark black. Stefan pulled the pants back on, then buttoned the dress shirt and tucked it in as he zipped and buttoned the pants. Stefan removed the only other item in the bag, a long rubber box. He gently lifted Edgar's glass by the bottom, ensuring not to damage the fingerprints. Stefan opened the box and placed the glass inside. The box was lined to ensure the glass would be protected from breaking. He grabbed the silver briefcase off of the floor and dumped the large amount of cash into it. The box was placed back into the now empty briefcase, and he carried it into the small bathroom through an entrance that was hidden behind the large bed. He sat the silver case on the sink and scratched his scalp. After a few moments Stefan's black hair slid soundlessly off, revealing chocolate brown hair that was buzzed close to his head. The wig was tossed into the case as he removed a contact case from his shirt pocket. His eyes became an icy blue color as he removed green contacts from his eyes. The contact case followed the wig into the metal briefcase. Stefan grabbed some tissues out of the box that sat on the back of the toilet. He ran then quickly under warm water and then wiped them across the ride side of his face. It only took a few minutes to remove the heavy makeup, revealing a thin, jagged scar that ran across his right cheekbone. Stefan tossed the dirty tissue into the case and quietly locked it. He moved over to a small window that overlooked a back alley. A black limousine was parked against the back of the building in the dirty alley directly under the window. Stefan whistled softly into the night air, and after a few moments the limousine's moon roof soundlessly opened. After taking careful aim, Stefan dropped the case out of the window. It sailed silently through the air and landed with a small thud in the back of the limousine. Stefan moved confidently out of the bathroom and through the bedroom after shutting the window. He ignored Edgar's slumbering body as he grabbed the money-filled duffel bag. Stefan peered out into the hallway, ensuring it was empty, before stepping out of the room and locking the door behind him. The duffel bag was swung over his shoulder as his bare feet moved swiftly and quietly through the dark hallways. After a few twists and turns Stefan entered another bedroom, nearly identical to the previous one. A young blonde slept peacefully under the covers in the center of the bed. Stefan smiled fondly at the boy as he placed the duffel bag on the end of the bed. He retrieved a watch out of the pocket of a leather trench coat that was thrown across a nearby chair. Stefan looked at the time, noticing that a few hours had passed since he left the room. He climbed quietly onto the bed and lay down next to the beautiful man. His lips gently grazed over the sleeping figure's lips. As Stefan increased the pressure of the kiss, the blonde's eyes fluttered opened and he groaned into the kiss. "I'm sorry, Paul, I must have feel asleep." The blonde's British accent was thick with sleep and desire. "The champagne must have went straight to my head." "Do not worry, my love." Stefan grinned at the change of his name, his smooth voice enriched with a French accent. "You are so beautiful, and I have your payment as promised." The blonde's eyes bulged in shock as he noticed the duffel bag Paul had gestured to. He leaned up and placed a hungry, desperate kiss on Paul's lips. Paul relaxed into the gesture of affection and gently stroked the boy's muscular body. He ended the kiss and allowed his fingertips to trace the blonde's face. "I wish I had the time to enjoy your body, but alas I cannot." Paul moved over to the side of the bed and began to pull on a pair of black leather boots. "You make sure you use that money to finish your education." Paul smiled at the tear-filled grin the beautiful blonde gave him as he nodded. He pulled on his leather coat and leaned over the bed, brushing a lock of hair from the man's face. Paul placed a sweet kiss on his forehead before leaving the room. He moved swiftly through the numerous hallways once again, before walking through Companions' lobby and into the chilly night. Paul took his time walking into the alley and up to the limousine. His driver leaned casually against the back passenger door, an air of indifference surrounding her. Paul almost felt bad for anyone that underestimated the well-built woman, almost. She nodded and opened the door for him. Paul slid into the back of the car and retrieved the silver case off of the padded floor of the limousine. He inspected the contents of the case to ensure the glass had not broken during the fall. Paul was grateful to find that the case indeed did protect the glass. The driver eased into the front seat and the car purred to life. Paul relaxed back in his seat for a few moments as the car sped down the narrow alleyways. After fifteen minutes he climbed over the compartment partition and slid into the front seat next to the driver. The driver pulled off her cap, her crimson colored hair falling down past her shoulder blades. She shook her head and grinned at her passenger. "Great job on that scar, Tiger. It's very realistic." She laughed as she glanced at him. "So how did things go?" He chuckled at her exuberance and pealed the fake scar from his handsome face. His brown buzz cut was quickly pulled off as well, revealing a dark wig cap. He removed the skin-tight cap and shook his head as he massaged his scalp. Thick, light blonde hair fell around the man's shoulders. "It was like taking candy from a baby, Nessa." The man grinned. "The target was less than appealing, but the hot blonde I picked up for cover more than made up for that." "Oh Alec, my dear, sweet brother, were you actually enjoying yourself for once?" Vanessa grinned at her only sibling. "No, I had to drug him before we could have any fun." Alec sighed and pouted. "I just didn't have the time for any fun and games this time." "How did the latex go on its first field run?" She asked with a laugh. "Exactly as we predicted." Alec said as he held up one of his hands. He scratched at the base of his wrist and pulled a thin layer of clear latex off the palm of his hands and the bottom of his fingers. "No one had any clue when I touched them, and it was a lot easier than having to worry about putting on gloves or wiping the place down to clear out any fingerprints." "Awesome." Vanessa easily maneuvered the limousine into an old, deserted parking garage as Alec tossed the remaining pieces of his multiple disguises into the silver case. "Let's switch and get home. There's a movie on cable tonight I want to watch." Alec rolled his eyes as he hopped out of the limousine and made his way over to the driver side of a dark blue SUV. It was comforting for him to know that no matter what life threw his way, he could always depend on his sister, his only family, to remain the same. Her quirky offbeat personality was something he cherished and was happy to have around to help calm him down after missions. "Is it another one of those weepy, emotional movies of the week?" Alec asked as he gunned the SUV's engine. "What the fuck are you talking about?" Vanessa laughed as she fastened her seatbelt. "You know very well I don't watch a movie unless it has at least two explosions and one car chase." Alec chuckled as he pulled the car out and navigated London's dark streets. His life would never be dull as long as his sister was around, and he wouldn't change that for anything in the world.  Alec maneuvered his car around the circular driveway in front of their home, the Manor as Alec lovingly referred to it. After nearly three months of working deep undercover abroad the house was a sight for sore eyes. Alec leaned over and nudged his sister awake. "Wake up, Nessa." His voice traveled softly through the car's interior. Vanessa let out a long yawn and stretched her taut, lithe frame. She had been completely jet-lagged from their trip across the ocean and had dropped off to sleep shortly after buckling her seatbelt. She looked around and noticed that they were home. A large grin broke out over her face. "There's no place like home, Nessa?" Alec chuckled. "Shut it, Dorothy." Nessa slapped his shoulder. "Let's go, I'm hungry!" "If I'm Dorothy wouldn't that make you To…" Alec began as he popped the trunk. "Finish that sentence and die, Tiger." Nessa interrupted him. "I forgot how cranky you get when you're hungry." Alec grinned as he grabbed some of their luggage. Vanessa growled playfully at her younger brother as she helped him unload the contents of the car's trunk. It took the two of them a few trips to get everything onto the large wraparound porch. As Vanessa dug her house keys out of her pocket Alec leaned casually against the door. His hand rested against one of the many intricate wooden panels. His skin tingled slightly as a hidden scanner verified his handprint. The sound of the door unlocking was barely audible. Even though the door was open, Vanessa still went through the motions of sliding her key into the door to throw off any nosy neighbors. Vanessa slipped into the foyer and stepped across the black and white tiles with practiced ease. As her foot touched the final tile sounds of movement could be heard throughout the house as the lockdown was lifted. "Welcome home Trinity and Phoenix." Muse's voice carried softly through the downstairs. Alec paused on his way back out onto the porch at Muse's greeting. Muse's normal musical female voice and British tones had been replaced with a deep, masculine man's voice with an Australian accent. He looked over his shoulder at his sister, who was whistling innocently and looking up at the ceiling. Alec crossed his arms and leaned his muscular body in the open doorway. He raised an eyebrow in question at his sister. "What?" Vanessa grinned. "Oh come on, I was so bored sitting out in that limo all night. So I worked on giving Muse some updates." Alec didn't bother replying and started to move their bags off of the porch and into the foyer. Alec shook his head as he listened to Muse give Vanessa reports on what had happened while they were gone. He wasn't sure what was more disturbing, the fact that his sister was getting more computer savvy, or that Muse's new voice kinda turned him on. Before he decided anything Alec knew he needed a good night's rest, and his bed was calling to him. It took a couple of hours to unload all of their gear and put it back in the Dungeon. Hours later they were finally finished and crawled wearily into their beds as exhaustion overtook them.  Alec and Vanessa took advantage of being home and slept in until mid-morning the following day. They slowly made their way downstairs and had a nice leisurely brunch. A comfortable silence had fallen between them as they easily fell back into their old routines. It was amazing that even after being away for months and months at a time it always felt like they had never left home. Trinity: Origins Ch. 01 After cleaning up their dishes Vanessa and Alec made their way down into the Dungeon for their daily workout. Alec had thrown on a comfortable pair of old black sweats, and Vanessa seemed to be on the same wavelength in her white sweats. Only the sounds of their breathing could be heard as they worked through their stretching and meditating without much thought. So many things had just become second nature over the years not much thought was required. A few hours later the siblings were carefully circling each other on the training mat. Sweat beaded down both of their bodies. Alec had abandoned his sweatshirt a long time ago, his chest muscles shone in the fluorescent lighting. Vanessa had followed her brother's example and had discarded her top as well, a black sports bra hugging her taut frame. Since their mission on the Isle of Terror their practice sparring had come even more intense. A flurry of fists and feet passed between them as they ducked and dodged each other. Vanessa kicked her right foot sharply at Alec's stomach. He easily caught her foot and threw her leg straight up in the air. Vanessa allowed her body to follow the momentum and gently flipped over in a back tuck, landing gracefully on her feet. She barely had enough time to focus before Alec attacked. Nessa quickly sidestepped Alec's punch and grabbed his arm, flipping him forward. Alec landed on his ass and quickly somersaulted backwards and hopped to his feet. "Ok, that's it. I'm fucking done." Nessa panted as she wiped the sweat off of her brow. "I think I'm getting too old for this shit." "That's not it." Alec laughed and started his cooling down routine. "You just were the backup this time around, so you didn't get any action. Know you know how I've felt." "Touché!" Vanessa grinned and began to mimic his stretching. Alec opened his mouth to tease his sister, but Muse's voice stopped him. "Trinity, Phoenix, there is an urgent top-priority message being downloaded. It will be available for viewing within a half hour." "You've gotta be fucking kidding me!" Vanessa groaned. "We'll just decline the mission." Alec sighed. "We haven't even been home for twenty four hours yet." "We both know that won't happen." Vanessa grabbed her discarded shirt. "Let's go take a shower first at least." The pair went up into their bathrooms, grumbling and bitching the entire time. Another mission coming in wasn't too much of a trouble because they truly did love their work. They both just wished they could actually get some down time. Alec kicked off his shoes the moment he walked into his room, and his socks quickly followed. His black sweat pants dropped to the floor at the end of his bed, leaving him standing in an old white jock. He paused for a moment in front of the large mirror that sat on top of his dresser. Alec admired the change in his body as he flexed his muscled. He had always had a large broad frame, but it was more toned than cut. After everything that happened on that damn island he threw himself into working out more. His hands traveled over his now thickly cut and hard chest. The only visible hair was the thin, dark treasure trail that snaked down from his belly button into the front of his jock. Alec turned slightly and admired the back of his body. He had to admit that he liked the way the white straps accented and outlined his bubble butt. Alec had been spending as much time outside as possible to get rid of his pale complexion and was happy to see the golden honey color his skin had taken. He blushed slightly at the fact that there were no tan lines on his body, but working out in the woods nude was exhilarating and made him feel sexy. It also was very calming, to feel so close to nature. Alec padded into his bathroom and started the water in the shower. After adjusting it to the right temperature he stripped off his jock and stepped in, pulling the glass door closed behind him. The hot water pounding over his body had caused a deep groan to slide from his lips. He knew that he would be sore the next day because Vanessa had really given him a workout that morning. Alec ignored the way his body was reacting to the steaming hot water and began to wash his thick hair. Vanessa had teased him unmercifully as he was growing it out, but he knew that she was happy with the way it looked. Alec even admitted that his now shoulder length hair was pretty sexy. The only issue he had with it was how long it took to wash. He was so used to just getting in and out of the shower, it took some time to get used to having to be in there longer. After making sure he rinsed out all of the shampoo, Alec quickly washed and cleaned the rest of his body, blatantly ignoring the hardness that hung thickly between his legs. Alec quickly dried off his body and threw on a pair of boxer briefs and an old pair of gym shorts. He pulled a white wife beater over his head as he walked downstairs barefoot. Vanessa was sitting at the kitchen table smoking a cigarette as he walked in pulling his hair back in a ponytail. "Ya know those things are bad for you." Alec lectured as he walked past and grabbed the smoke from her mouth. He took a drag off it as headed towards the Library. "You coming?" "You're such a bitch!" Nessa growled as she followed him. They slowly made their way back down into the Dungeon, taking their time in fear that they would be leaving again. As they made their way towards the communications center, they noticed that their symbols weren't on the screen, which was a good sign. If their codename symbols had been on the screen then they knew it was a transmission from headquarters about a new mission. Though they were a bit worried, since they had never received any other type of message before. "Maybe it's from…" Alec couldn't make himself say the name. Almost a year had passed since he found his pendant on the balcony, and he had yet to hear anything at all from Joshua Finnegan. "Only one way to find out, Tiger." Vanessa squeezed his shoulder. "Muse, play the message please." "Affirmative." Muse's voice sounded throughout the Dungeon. Vanessa and Alec watched in curiosity as the screen was filled with static. After a few moments the static faded away and a handsome couple appeared on the screen. Vanessa sat down heavily in one of the chairs, her eyes bulging wide. Alec's large hands gripped the back of the chair so hard his knuckles turned white. "Mum…Da'?" Vanessa's voice trembled as she looked up at their parents. "Wha?" Alec shook his head in shock. "Hello, my babies." Anna Romane's musical voice floated around them. "There's much we have to tell you." "If you're seeing this that means that we are unfortunately no longer with you." Sam Romane's voice was thick with emotion. "Know that we are watching over you no matter where we are, and know that you both have always made us proud." Vanessa reached back and grabbed onto Alec's hand tightly. Tears had quickly filled both of their eyes. Just seeing their parents brought back thousands of memories. Alec squeezed her hand tightly, trying to comfort her as much as he could. "It's time you knew the truth of your destiny." Anna continued softly. "The fate of the world will lie in your hands." Trinity: Origins Ch. 02 "That doesn't sound very promising does it?" Alec's voice was soft. "Not at all." Nessa responded quietly as well as she shook her head. "We should probably go back and explain a few things." Sam smiled as he put his arm around his wife's shoulders. "You are both well aware of the origins of the Covenant, but there was more to the story than what we told you initially, one of the reason why our Druid ancestors decided to leave their quiet lives and venture out into the world." "I'm sure you have both heard rumors or stories of the ancient Druids practicing magic." Anna patted her husband's leg. "Magic was very much a part of their lives, and one of the clans leaders had a vision, a vision of a great evil spreading throughout the world. She foresaw three beings of power standing together and defeating this evil, a Trinity of power." Vanessa's hand wrapped around her pendant. Her head was swimming with a thousand thoughts as she listened to her parents' message from beyond the grave. It was taking nearly every instinct she had to remain calm and collected. She could feel the tension radiating off of her brother through their clasped hands. "The woman had seen three siblings standing together." Sam continued for Anna. "She was able to tell that they were descendants of their people, and this vision was the answer to all of their questions. They knew that they had to spread out into the world and protect whoever they could as they waited for the three prophesized children." "Over the generations no descendant of the original Druid clans were able to have more than two children." Anna smiled gently from the screen. "Until me." Vanessa and Alec glanced at each other questioningly. They couldn't understand what their parents were saying. All of their lives it had only been the two of them, surely they would have known if they had another sibling. "After Alec had been born we thought that like everyone else in the Covenant that he would be our last child." Anna's musical laughter floated around them. "Imagine my surprise when I found out I was pregnant for a third time." "That's when we knew that the ancient prophecy was coming true." Sam kissed Anna's cheek. "That's when you were giving the codename Trinity, Vanessa. Being the oldest child you represented the first link between the three of you." "No fucking way." Vanessa breathed. "Language my dear." Anna smiled from the screen. Vanessa and Alec's eyes bulged in shock. "No, my darlings, I can't hear you, but I know both of you, and I'm sure one of you just said something nasty. I know I would if the situation was reversed." "When the leaders of the Covenant found out about our third child, they demanded that the baby be separated from the family." Sam's voice was filled with pain and anger. "They would not explain to us why. We were simply told that it would be safer if the three of you weren't together until you were older. Your mother and I think that there are evil forces out there that are aware of the Trinity prophecy, and they were on the lookout for three siblings." "Having to send our baby away was the hardest decision we ever had to make." Anna wiped tears from her eyes. "We knew though that all of you had to be protected, and we did what we felt was best. Both of you were too young to realize that your mommy was pregnant. For the final months of my pregnancy your father and I went away on a little 'business trip.' The baby was given to another Covenant family. There isn't a day that has gone by that I haven't wondered what would have been if we decided to keep all of you together." "We have a brother or a sister out there?" Alec's voice was raw from holding back his emotions. "I can't believe this." Vanessa shook her head. "I know this is a lot for the two of you to understand." Sam smiled sadly. "Muse will be able to provide you with more information. We don't have much time left. The two of you are about to wake up from a nap." "The baby was a boy." Anna's voice was soft. "He's a year younger than you are Alec. You're now an older brother." Alec bit his bottom lip as tears threatened to spill down his face. The news was shocking him to his core. He had always wondered what it would be like to have a younger brother, but facing the reality of that was very difficult. Vanessa wasn't exactly sure what to think at that moment. "The family that took him agreed that they would not keep his adoption a secret." Sam continued. "If anything were to happen to us, then a message similar to the one you are seeing would be sent to him as well. In fact, he probably saw the message a few days ago." "Why would he find out before us?" Alec asked his sister. "He's on his way." Anna's voice stopped Vanessa from answering. "It was agreed that when the time came, he would come and join the two of you at the Manor. If he follows our request, he should be showing up tomorrow." "We're not sure if they would have changed his name or not." Sam glanced at his wife. "The name we gave him was Reyhen Jeremiah, or RJ for short." "We're sorry that we can't be with you and tell you all of this in person." Anna wiped tears from her face. "We both hope that you will be able to accept your brother into your hearts. Acceptance is the only way to open the door…" A baby's cry could be heard in the video. "It seems that you're awake, Alec. We must go. Remember that we love you both, and we are so proud of you…all of you." Sam echoed his wife's statements and the video faded away to static again. Vanessa and Alec didn't move for awhile after the video ended. At that point in time neither one of them was even sure which way was up. Vanessa finally stood up slowly and moved around the chair to pull her brother into a tight hug. "This is un-fucking-believable." She said with a nervous laugh. "I can't believe we have a little brother." "I don't know what to think." Alec shook his head. "This is going to change everything. Does that mean we go on missions as a threesome? Is he even a Covenant member? Just because he was raised by a family doesn't mean he's part of it…." Vanessa laid a hand against her brother's mouth to stop his rambling. "Whoa! Slow down there, Tiger." She grabbed his hand and led him out of the Dungeon. "That's something we're just gonna have to ask him about tomorrow." "We're gonna have to setup a room for him. What if he doesn't like it here? What if he doesn't want to stay? What if…" Vanessa tuned out the rest of her brother's rambling. She knew that once he started there was no way he was gonna stop until he had talked himself out. It was one of the very few nervous habits he had, and it was almost comforting to listen to him ramble on and on. Her stomach churned as she thought about the next day, a hundred different scenarios running through her head. She hoped that RJ, their brother, would be able to fit in with them or they with him. She dragged Alec into the kitchen and started to prepare lunch. Nessa was able to get him to relax and stop talking by giving him a smoke and telling him to chill out. She easily slipped into a motherly role and enjoyed the familiarity of it. She wondered what their baby brother would be like or what he would look like. Nessa calmed herself down as she pulled some hamburgers out of the freezer. She would just have to wait and see what tomorrow would bring.  The next morning Vanessa woke up to the sunlight streaming through her window. She stretched for a moment before looking at the clock and seeing that it was barely eight o'clock in the morning. Just as she was snuggling back under her covers to sleep for another hour she heard a large thump coming from one of the guestrooms. Her hand shot off the bed and under the mattress. Her fingers clutched around a handgun that was hidden there. She quietly eased off the bed, ensuring that she didn't make any sound. Her bare feet moved stealthily across the hardwood floors. Nessa kept the gun close to her body as she moved towards her open bedroom door. She leaned over carefully and looked into the hallway. After making sure it was safe she moved into the hallway and towards the source of the sound. As she moved along the hallway, her back against the wall, she heard soft cursing. Vanessa approached the first of two guestrooms on their second floor. She took a few calming breaths before swinging her body into the open doorway, her gun drawn. "Freeze mother fucker!" She screamed at the figure standing in the shadows by one of the dressers near the window. "NESSA!" Alec yelled as he stepped into the sunlight, his hands raised in front of him. "Jesus Christ you scared the fuck out of me!" Nessa leaned against the doorway and blew a strand of hair off of her face. She lowered the gun to her side and looked curiously at her brother. He was standing there in his ratty gym shorts and beat up white tank top, a rag clutched in his hand. His thick blonde hair was pulled back in a messy ponytail. The look on his face was just too classic, and she couldn't help the giggles that rose up inside of her. "Do you think it's funny that you almost fucking shot me?" Alec spat. "I'm trying to get this room cleaned up and dusted before our brother gets here, and you're freaking out on me. " "Sorry, Tiger. I woke up and heard that thump and, well, you know how long it takes the brain sometimes to remember that we aren't on a mission." Nessa flipped the safety on her gun, and she stuck it in the waist of her pajama bottoms. The white man's undershirt she wore barely covered the handle. "Why the hell are you up so early anyway?" "We have no flippin' clue when the newest addition to our family will be here." Alec went back to dusting off the furniture as Nessa pulled her hair back in a ponytail. "Besides, I really couldn't sleep last night and figured I may as well be productive if I was awake." "Are you okay?" Vanessa warily eyed her brother. She could see how tense his body was. "I'm fine." Alec kept is back to his sister, knowing that she could read him like a book. "How about some breakfast?" "Okay." Nessa decided to let him off the hook for now. "I'll take a bath and get dressed while you finish up in here. I'll have something ready by the time your dressed." Vanessa waited for a response, but all she got was a short nod. She sighed and headed back into her bedroom. After securing her gun back under her mattress, she locked her bedroom door and headed into the bathroom. Nessa didn't normally lock her door, but after her accidental scaring of her brother, she was worried about retaliation. She ran some hot water and added some bubble bath. As the tub was filling up she crossed her room and entered her walk-in closet. Nessa grabbed her favorite pair of faded blue jeans off the shelf. She added a white shirt that was pink across the arms and shoulders with the word "Popular" written across it in pink glitter. Alec had gotten it for her as a joke, but it was comfortable and she didn't mind the color pink. She put the clothing on her bed and stripped off her pajamas. After enjoying her hot bubble bath she got dressed completing her outfit with her favorite pair of black boots. Vanessa whistled softly to herself as she moved through the house and into the kitchen. She threw some bread into the toaster and started to scramble some eggs for omelets. Just as she was adding some cheese and ham into the pan Alec walked in. He was wearing a pair of black leather pants and had a black and silver dress shirt on. The shirt was only buttoned half way and its sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. "Looking good, oh brother of mine." She grinned as she folded some of the egg over the cheese and ham. "Thanks." Alec quietly replied as he sat down at the kitchen table. He focused his gaze on the toast he was buttering. "Ok. Talk." Vanessa commanded as she set their omelets down on the table. She poured them both a glass of orange juice before she sat down. "What is going on in that head of yours?" "I'm just nervous about today." Alec blew on a piece of his omelet before putting it in his mouth. "This is good, thanks, Sis." "You're welcome." Vanessa bit into her toast. "What are you nervous about?" "What if I'm not a good big brother?" Alec sipped his juice. He kept his gaze focused on the table. "You're an awesome little brother, so why wouldn't you be an awesome big brother?" Vanessa reached across the table and squeezed his hand. "Besides, there is something we have to consider." "What's that?" Alec finally looked up at his older sister. "He's only a year younger than you are. So he's either twenty four or twenty five, depending on when his birthday is." Vanessa sighed. "He might not need a big brother, Alec…or a big sister for that matter." "That's what I'm afraid of." Alec pushed the food around his plate with his fork. "The three of us have missed out on so much with each other. I don't know if I should be pissed at Mum and Da' or not. I understand they thought they were doing the right thing, but I mean, come on, a prophecy about three siblings? I'm sure we're not the first family to have three kids." "That's what I was thinking too." Vanessa agreed. "But they were very serious about it. We'll definitely have to talk to Muse and to Reyhen about it. Though I'm not all that sure about visions or magic either." "I could care less about all that hocus pocus crap." Alec sighed. "For our parents' sake though, I hope that it's true. Because if it's not, then that means we were separated for no reason." "This whole thing though does explain some things." Vanessa thought out loud. "Mum and Da' did always seem a bit off during the holidays and stuff. How much do you wanna bet they weren't missing Grams as much as they claimed? I bet they were missing Reyhen." Alec nodded and continued to eat his breakfast, though it all tasted the same to him that morning. He had gotten two hours sleep, maybe a little more the night before. His mind just kept racing around with different thoughts about their brother and the prophecy. What was Reyhen like? Was he excited about seeing them? They were questions that only his brother could answer. Even thinking the phrase "his brother" was enough to make Alec's stomach twist. It was something that excited him and scared him. Vanessa's earlier statements echoed some of Alec's own fears. They were old enough at that point that Reyhen might not need to look up to his older siblings for guidance. He could already be perfectly happy with his adopted family. Hell, he might not even want anything to do with them, their destinies together be damned. "I'll load the dishwasher." Alec said as they finished their meal. He stood up and gathered the plates together. Alec dropped a kiss on the top of Vanessa's head as he walked past her. "Thanks again for breakfast." "Not a problem, Tiger." Vanessa quietly responded. Vanessa lit a cigarette as Alec loaded the dishwasher. She had smoked on and off since her teen years, normally succumbing to the vice when she was greatly stressed out. Alec had picked up smoking on the mission after the Joshua incident. Part of his cover was hanging out in a cigar bar, and the habit just seemed to stick with him. After a few minutes Nessa crushed the butt of her cigarette out in the ashtray. She looked over her shoulder to say something to Alec, but he wasn't there. She was surprised to find the kitchen empty, since she didn't even hear him leave. Vanessa tilted her head to see if she could hear him moving around the house, but the Manor was eerily silent. She gently moved to her feet, pushing the chair back under the table. The boots of Vanessa's heels clicked on the hardwood floors as she started down the hallway into the foyer. As she stepped through the doorway into the foyer, she felt something strike her back, causing her to tumble forward. She allowed her body to somersault forward and using her body's momentum she leapt from the floor into a front aerial. Nessa easily landed on her feet and she quickly spun around in a defensive stance. Her eyes scanned the area, but she didn't see Alec anywhere. "Come out, come out, wherever you are." Nessa taunted as she crept into the sunken living room area. She couldn't stop the smile that had appeared on her face. They were playing a twisted version of hide and seek that they had been playing since they were children. Whenever either of them got really stressed out the other would start the game. Alec obviously knew they needed something to take their mind off of their brother, and she was grateful for the distraction. Vanessa never noticed the thin wire that was strung between the couch and the coffee table. As she walked through it a large silver candlestick fell off of the fireplace's mantle. Nessa spun towards the sound and almost immediately realized the mistake she made. Before she could even move she felt something press against the back of her head. Vanessa knew that it was only Alec's finger, but it still caused a shiver to run down her spine. "You're slipping." Alec chuckled. Vanessa reached back with almost super-human speed and grabbed his wrist. She let her body drop to the ground. As she fell down onto her back she pulled Alec over her. She pulled her knees to her chest, her feet planting themselves against Alec's stomach. With a quick push she sent her brother flying over onto the couch. She heard the air rush from his lungs as he landed with a thud, but she didn't wait around to see if he was okay. In their version of the game, she had just tagged Alec and made him "it". She leapt to her feet and took off into the foyer. Nessa ran up the stairway taking two steps at a time. Her feet carried her into the second floor's Great Room, where the ceiling was done in beautifully polished exposed beams. She stepped onto a chair and leapt up with all her strength. Her hands clasped one of the beams, and she swung her body up onto the wood. Vanessa quickly slowed her breathing down, ensuring she didn't make a sound. All she had to do was wait for Alec to come into the room and he was hers. After a few minutes movement from the other side of the room caught her eye. She glanced over just as the fireplace quietly swung open. Vanessa bit back a chuckle as she watched Alec creep out of one of the many secret passages the house had. Alec never even glanced up in her direction as he crossed the room. His eyes were only trained on the open doorway. As he passed underneath her Vanessa leapt down onto his back. As Alec pitched forward from the sudden weight he planted his hands on the ground in front of him. His legs swung up fast behind him in a hand stand position. The sudden change in direction caused Vanessa to lose her grip, and she was thrown off of her brother. "Tag." Alec laughed as he flipped back onto his feet. He leapt over his sister and took off towards his room, his laughter echoing behind him. Vanessa swore loudly and stomped her foot on the ground. She hated losing, and hated it even worse when Alec laughed at her during the game. She knew he was only doing it to work her up in the hopes she would lose her focus. Nessa took a few deep breaths and then quickly followed her brother. She found the door to his room closed and locked. Vanessa stealthily moved back to her room and grabbed her lock picking kit out of one of her nightstands. She tiptoed back to her brother's door and quietly picked the lock. As she slowly turned the knob to open the door she followed a hunch and threw the door open as hard as she could. The door swung quickly on its hinges, but never hit the wall. Just as she thought her hunch was wrong the door stopped suddenly and she heard Alec grunt. "That's what you get for hiding behind the door, bitch." Vanessa laughed. Trinity: Origins Ch. 02 She spun around and took off back to her bedroom as she heard Alec roar. Vanessa slammed her door shut but didn't bother locking it. She ran into her walk in closet and moved quickly to where her clothes were hanging. Her hands roughly pushed the clothes aside and a laundry shoot was revealed in the wall. Her fingers wrapped tightly around the bar the clothes hung off of, and she swung forward into the chute feet first. She held back a whoop of exhilaration as her body rushed down the laundry chute. The trip only took a few seconds, but Vanessa wished it were longer. She always loved the rush of adrenaline she got from sliding down through the house. The chute wasn't exactly for laundry, but it was a quick way to get to the Dungeon. Her body landed on the soft mat that was setup under the exit of the slide. Laughter finally bubbled from her lips, but quickly died as she realized Alec was standing by the mat. "You're so damn predictable." He laughed and reached out a hand to her. "How did you beat me down here?" Vanessa demanded. "You forget that I have the same thing in my room, dear sister." Alec stood patiently, his hand outstretched. "And since I was already in my room, I was able to get down here faster. Besides, I weigh more than you do, so I slide faster." Vanessa scowled at him and accepted the outstretched hand. As she was pulled to her feet Vanessa realized she had made her second biggest mistake of the day because as Alec pulled her up he used her body's momentum to throw her into the training area. Her body landed heavily on their workout mat. Vanessa groaned as the air rushed from her lungs. "We didn't say the game was over, silly rabbit." Alec's laughter rang out through the Dungeon. "Dicks are for chicks, you big homo!" Vanessa managed to yell back at him once she caught her breath, but it was useless because Alec was already gone. "I hate this game." She stood and stretched out her back. As she exited the Dungeon through the wine cellar she pulled the clip from her hair, since most of it had fallen out of the ponytail she had it in anyway. She really didn't hate the game, but she hated losing. Vanessa cautiously made her way out of the hidden passage in the library. Her eyes searching everywhere at once. Once she was sure it was safe, she stepped out of the bookcase and quietly closed it behind her. As she worked her way back to the foyer she saw Alec standing at one of the windows. She crept up behind him, placing one of her fingers against the back of his head. When he didn't move or make a sound she stepped up next to him. "Game over, sport?" She asked. "I think I heard the gate swing open." Alec's voice was soft. Vanessa took a shaky breath and stood next to her brother and looked out the window. Normally when someone wanted entrance to their property they rang the buzzer that was down by the gate. The fact that Alec heard the gate opening without the buzzer sounded meant only one thing. "He must have been given the access code, but the only way he could have done that would be through Muse." Vanessa placed a hand on Alec's shoulder. "He must have been in contact with Muse somehow." Alec nodded. "He could have gotten directions through Mum and Da's video, but they wouldn't know what the code is now. Muse must have been advised to contact him with any pertinent information." "Is that correct, Muse?" Vanessa asked. "Affirmative, Vanessa." Muse's voice echoed through the downstairs. "I have been in contact with Reyhen for the last three days." "Three days?!" Alec spat. "Why didn't you tell us?" "Your parents had given me strict orders, Alec. You were not to know of any communication between my system and Reyhen. Otherwise you would have tried to contact him." Muse's husky voice softened the blow, if only slightly. "How do I look?" Alec turned towards his sister. She grinned and ran her fingers through his hair after fixing the collar of his shirt. "You look wonderful." Vanessa grinned. She struck a pose in front of him. "And how beautiful do I look?" "As beautiful as always." Alec laughed as he brushed a lock of hair off of her face. "I should probably go throw some shoes on." "Tiger, you're always barefoot in the house. Stop…" Vanessa's voice was interrupted as the doorbell rang. Alec and Vanessa each took a deep breath and hugged each other quickly but tightly. Alec moved to open the door, Vanessa stood slightly back and off to the side. Alec swung the door open. The man on the other side had a bag slung over his shoulder and a suitcase was by his feet. Alec guessed that he had to be at least six feet tall, but was slightly shorter than his own six foot one frame. The man's hair was as red as Vanessa's, but was cut short and spiked. Alec's breath caught in his throat as he stared into a pair of ice blue eyes that nearly mimicked his own. "You must be, Alec." A reserved smile appeared on the man's face as he stretched out his hand. "I'm Reyhen." Trinity: Origins Ch. 03 "It's great to see you." Alec cursed at how stupid he sounded but smiled as he saw Reyhen's grin widen a bit. He shook his brother's hand. "Come on in." Alec stepped to the side to allow him room to pass. "I'll grab your suitcase." "Thanks." Reyhen nodded and stepped inside. His eyes were immediately drawn to Vanessa. "And that would mean you must be Vanessa." "The tits gave it away, didn't it?" Vanessa laughed. Alec groaned silently to himself at her joke, but he figured that Reyhen better get used to her right away. As he stepped inside with the suitcase he watched as his brother tried not to laugh. His rich chuckle finally slipped from his lips as he offered her his hand. "Just a little bit." He grinned. "So, should we call you Reyhen or do you prefer RJ?" Alec asked. "Either one is fine by me." RJ shrugged and gave them a small smile. He set his bag down next to him on the floor. His arms stretched up over his head, Alec noticing the thick muscles as they flexed. Even though RJ was slightly shorter than he was, Alec knew that his brother was built nearly the same as he was. Vanessa's eyes glanced around at both of them, amazed how the similarities they shared. She expected RJ to look like them slightly, but it still surprised her. "I have your hair and sense of humor." RJ smiled at her, almost reading her thoughts. "And I have Alec's eyes and body type." "Well thank the gods for that because you'd look pretty silly with tits." Vanessa laughed. "Great." Alec groaned as RJ and Vanessa both laughed at her joke. "I'm stuck with two warped sense of humors." He paused as RJ looked over at him. "That is...if you're staying?" Tension suddenly appeared thickly in the air. RJ had been extremely nervous during the trip to the Manor. As wonderful as his adopted family was, he had felt an immediate connection with his blood siblings. He wasn't sure what type of relationship they wanted, but he hoped they could at least be friends. After a few moments RJ nodded. "I'd like to stay." His deep voice quietly rumbled in the air. "If you'd have me." Vanessa walked over and pulled RJ into a hug. It only took a few seconds for RJ to wrap his arms tightly around her. Tears he had promised himself wouldn't appear filled his eyes. Alec kicked the door shut with his foot and moved over to his brother and sister. RJ looked up and his gazed locked with his brother's tear filled eyes. He lifted one of his arms out towards Alec. Alec smiled and moved into the embrace. His arms wrapping tightly around his siblings. "Welcome home." Alec's soft voice washed over them. They stood like that together for a long time. The realization of what was happening hitting them all deeply, the awkwardness that had been in the air suddenly disappeared. It was as almost like an unseen hand had taken away all of their fears, and maybe in some way, that was correct.  RJ smiled to himself as he finished unpacking his suitcase into the dresser in his room...his room. It was a phrase that he was still trying to work out in his mind. He was in a bit of shock over how quickly Vanessa and Alec not only opened their hearts but their home to him as well. He mentally scolded himself for being so ridiculous. Why wouldn't they be open with him, he was their brother after all. His nerves were just getting the best of him. Reyhen wasn't sure what his own reaction was yet to the fact he suddenly had two other older siblings, blood siblings in fact. After sliding his suitcase under the bed, he decided that he needed to meditate a bit to try and clear his head. Reyhen climbed up into the center of the large, comfortable bed and pulled his legs up underneath his body. His eyes slowly closed as he concentrated on his breathing. It was only a few moments before a knock at his door interrupted him. "Come in." RJ's eyes opened as Alec's head appeared behind the partially opened door. "Was just checking to see if you were settling in okay." Alec smiled. "I'm all unpacked." RJ returned his brother's smile. "This room is amazing. Thank you so much. I was just about to meditate a bit." "You're welcome." Alec started to pull out of the room. "I'll let you get back to your meditating. Yell if you need anything." "Alec, wait!" Reyhen waited for his brother's head to pop back into the room. "You could stay and meditate with me, if you'd like." "Sure. That would be nice." Alec moved into the room, his bare feet padding quietly on the hardwood floor. Alec gently closed the door behind him and climbed up on the edge of the bed, also tucking his legs underneath him. He gave RJ a warm smile before closing his eyes and relaxing his body. It only took a few minutes for Alec to slow down his breathing and feel his body start to slip into the zone. As Alec tried to clear his thoughts out though frustration built inside of him. Normally his mind emptied without any effort, but Alec was suddenly having difficulty doing that. A frustrated sigh slipped from his lips after a few minutes. "You okay?" RJ's warm voice was soft and calming. "I don't know." Alec's eyes opened and he found himself gazing into RJ's near identical blue eyes. "I can't focus. This is too weird because I've been meditating since like grade school and have never had any problems." "You and me both." Reyhen replied. Alec looked at him curiously. "I can feel myself starting to slip into that state, but I just can't go fully in. If that makes any sense." "Yeah, it does. Totally." Alec brushed a stray strand of blonde hair from his face. Before Alec had a chance to say anything else there was a knock on the bedroom door. "Come in, Vanessa." RJ called out with a smile. "How did you know it was me? Are you psychic?" Vanessa asked as she stepped into the room and then broke out in a chuckle. "Or maybe since our brother was already here you used your phenomenal powers of deduction." "That could be it." RJ laughed and smiled at his sister. Her sense of humor was one of the first things that put him to ease. "So whatcha up to?" Vanessa climbed onto the edge of the bed. "We were trying to meditate." Alec chuckled. "Sorry! Did I interrupt?" Vanessa looked back and forth between her brothers, worried that she had intruded. "No, you didn't." Reyhen sighed and smiled gently at her. "We haven't been able to." "That's odd." Vanessa tilted her head thoughtfully. "Maybe it's just all the excitement from today?" "It's possible, but I've meditated in situations a lot more stressful than this." Alec drummed his fingers on his muscular legs. "Well, let's try it together." Vanessa shifted herself into a comfortable position, mimicking her brothers as she pulled her legs underneath her. The trio relaxed and focused on the sounds of their breathing. It wasn't long before Vanessa realized what the guys were talking about. Her breathing had easily steadied and deepened, but she was unable to shift the stray thoughts from her head. She tried to focus as deeply as she possibly could, but nothing seemed to be working. "I see what you mean." Vanessa blew a strand of hair off of her face. "My thoughts have never been so murky." "You sure about that?" Alec asked without opening his eyes. If he had opened his eyes, he would have been able to avoid the punch Vanessa landed on his shoulder. "Ouch! Damn it, Nessa. Do you have to be so fucking violent all the time?" "I have yet to become violent, Tiger." Vanessa winked at him. "Laugh while you can, RJ." Alec glared at his brother. "It's only a matter of time before she starts beating on you too." "You would never do that, would you my dear, sweet Vanessa?" RJ gave her his sweetest, most innocent smile. "Course not." Vanessa grinned. Vanessa watched as RJ looked back at Alec and stuck out his tongue. Her hand snaked out and popped her new brother in the back of his head. "Hey! You said you weren't gonna hit me!" RJ rubbed the back of his head. "Damn, you hit like a dude." "You shouldn't have been so cocky and rub it in to Alec." Vanessa laughed. "Welcome to the family." "Some welcome." RJ grumbled under his breath, but it was all in fun. "Ok kids. Let's try meditating as a group." She shifted closer to the guys and reached out her hands to them. "Why not." Alec grabbed her hand and reached out his free hand to Reyhen. "At least we'll know where your hands are." "Shut it, smart ass." Vanessa growled at him. Reyhen looked at the two outstretched hands in front of him curiously. He had never tried meditating while in physical contact with someone, but his siblings seemed to be used to it. He shrugged his shoulders and grabbed their hands. A calm peacefulness descended upon them as all of their hands were connected. It only took a few seconds for their breathing to be totally in sync with each other. The moment that happened they were pulled into their meditative voids. The sudden lack of any thought or emotion was partially alarming, but the peacefulness surrounding them made them feel secure and safe. Time seemed to have no meaning as they gently floated through the void, their bodies totally relaxed. Vanessa's eyes finally fluttered opened and quickly widened in shock. "Fuck me." She gasped. "I'm gonna wash your mouth out one of..." Alec's voice trailed off as he opened his eyes as well. The words dying on his lips. "Son of a bitch." "What are you two talking about?" RJ's eyes opened wide with shock as well. The warm sunlight that had filled the room was long gone, and the trio sat in total darkness. The only light that filled the room was the cool moonlight that filtered through the curtains on the large windows. The siblings slid off the bed and moved towards one of the windows. Alec could tell by the moon's position that it was early in the evening, but he couldn't understand how that was possible. "How is this possible?" Vanessa thought out loud. "I've never been able to trance out like that before, never." "I don't know." RJ looked at his siblings with a bit of fear. "What did you do to me?" "Whoa, hang on a second there." Alec reached out and put a reassuring hand on Reyhen's shoulder and softly squeezed. "We didn't do anything to you. Vanessa and I are freaked out as much as you are." "Sorry." Reyhen blushed slightly. "I didn't mean..." "No worries." Vanessa interrupted him and smiled. "We'll get to the bottom of this." "Muse?" Alec called out. "Yes, Alec?" Muse's warm voice surrounded them. "How long were the three of us meditating?" He asked quickly. "Six hours, nine minutes, and eight seconds." Muse responded after a moment. "Muse, do you know of any type of meditation that would allow a person to be in such a deep trance state for so long?" Vanessa asked. "I do not have that knowledge." Vanessa swore she heard frustration in Muse's tone. "I will begin researching all available online databases immediately. An option to consider while I do this would be to contact Remington." "Whose that?" Alec looked curiously at his siblings. "That's Remi, my brother." RJ quietly replied, surprised that Muse would suggest it. "Really? That's wonderful. We haven't had a chance to talk about family yet." Vanessa grinned. "Could you give him a call?" "Sure." RJ paused and took a deep breath. "Or he could just come over." "That would be great, but I was hoping not to wait a day or two." Alec laughed. "Actually, he's here." RJ glanced nervously at his new siblings. "He's staying in a hotel by the airport." "WHAT!" Vanessa and Alec both yelled.  Remington Armand paced anxiously in the chilly night air outside of the hotel. He shoved a lock of shaggy, chocolate brown hair out of his eye, growling at himself for not getting a haircut before their trip. Remi pulled the neck of the tight black turtleneck that covered his muscular body up a bit higher before shoving his hands into the pockets of his faded blue jeans. His leather boots made soft slaps against the concrete as he paced back and forth. People coming in and out of the hotel avoided the menacing looking man that was talking to himself. "Figures. Kid hasn't even been here a day and shit's already happening." Remi sighed and snapped the gum he was chewing on. He would have preferred a cigarette, but the hotel's gift shop was already closed for the evening and he forgot to bring some with him on their trip. "I shouldn't have come. This was a bad idea. He shouldn't be relying on me so much right now, he should be looking to his real brother and sister for guidance." Remi didn't have the chance to berate himself for the comment he made because his attention was pulled to the sound of roaring tires. A small red sports car had come flying into the hotel parking lot. Remi dismissed the crazy driver and continued to pace back and forth. The red car pulled up beside him, the passenger window rolling down silently. "Remi! Get in!" A voice called out from inside the car. Remi leaned down and looked in the car. Surprise appeared on his face as he saw Reyhen sitting behind the wheel. He opened the door and cautiously slid into the passenger seat. Before he had a chance to pull his seatbelt on, Reyhen had gunned the engine and the car had rushed forward. Air rushed out of Remi's lungs as he was thrown back against the seat. "Fuck yeah!" RJ laughed and pumped his fist in the air. "Since when do you drive like a fucking maniac, Sport?" Remi asked as he quickly buckled the seat belt and gripped the door handle. "Awww, is my big brother scared?" RJ grinned and stroked the leather-clad steering wheel. "This baby practically begs to be driven fast." "Whose car is this?" Remi closed his eyes as they made a sharp fast turn to the left. "Alec's. He let me drive it over to pick you up, instead of driving that boring rental we got." Reyhen whooped with excitement as he sped down the streets. "Isn't that nice." Remi mumbled and looked out the window. His body was pushed forward against the seatbelt as Reyhen swerved into a parking lot. The car jerked to a stop. "Talk. Now." RJ turned and stared at his older brother. "What's with the attitude?" "I don't have an attitude." Remi muttered. "You're not going to lose me." RJ stated bluntly. Remi looked up at him in surprise. "I figured you've been driving yourself nuts about this. You should have talked to me about it. Just because we found out that I have two siblings through my birth parents does NOT change the fact that you are still my brother." "I..." Remi stopped as RJ put his hand up to stop him. "Let me finish." He reached over and squeezed Remi's thigh. "You've been there for me for as long as I can remember, and I hope that nothing every changes that. Vanessa and Alec aren't looking to take over my life, Remi. They are just hoping to become a part of it. You should have seen their faces when I told them about you." "Why?" Remi's voice was soft. "They freaked out." RJ laughed, but sobered when he saw Remi's look of fear. "It's not what you're thinking. They were totally pissed off that you were at the hotel. Neither one of them could understand why you didn't come to the house with me." "Really?" Remi wanted to kick himself for his short questions. "Yes, really." RJ smiled. "You're really gonna like them. I know it." "I'm sorry, Sport." Remi put his hand over RJ's. "I know you aren't going anywhere, but after everything that's happened..." RJ leaned over the seat and hugged his brother tightly. Unshed tears filled up in his eyes as he held his brother close. After a few minutes RJ pulled back, and Remi smiled and ruffled his hair. "You're not going to lose me." RJ's voice was thick with emotion. "I love you, Remi." "I love you too, Reyhen." Remi leaned back in the seat, his hand clutching the door handle again. "You want continue driving." "I don't drive that bad." RJ laughed and threw the car into reverse, the tires spinning as he pulled out. "So, do you look like them?" Remi asked, trying to take his mind off of the scenery that flew past his window. "It's almost like I'm a mix between the two. I have Vanessa's color hair, and the same eyes and body type as Alec, even though he's slightly taller than me." RJ grinned over at Remi. "He's the same height you are. Vanessa said it was good I was built like Alec, since I would look like shit with tits." "What?" Laughter rolled from Remi's lips. "Yeah." RJ laughed. "It seems that Vanessa and I share a sense of humor." "Merlin help us." Remi muttered. "You're an odd one, brother." RJ winked at him. "Actually, Alec reminds me a lot of you. He's more of the strong, silent type, but you can always depend on him. He's always ready to give you a hug when you need one too." "You seem to know them fairly well already." Remi looked at his brother curiously. "Especially since the three of you were zoned out most of the time." "I know, it's weird, but it doesn't feel weird." RJ pulled up into the driveway of the Manor, stopping at the massive gates. "It's almost like I've known them my whole life." "Did you feel like this before or after you meditated?" Remi asked. "After." RJ responded, but wasn't paying attention. He was leaning out the window and keying in the security code to open the gate. Remi was amazed by the grounds and couldn't wait to see them in the daylight. His eyes widened as the Manor pulled into view. RJ had said the house was impressive, but he never expected how large and beautiful it truly was. He stood in awe for a moment looking up at the Manor. RJ slipped an arm around his brother's waist and grinned. "I told you it was impressive." He chuckled as Remi nodded. "Come on." RJ pulled Remi up onto the large covered porch and towards the front door. He knew not to knock or ring the bell. Vanessa and Alec had both been very clear that he was to treat the Manor like it was his home. Vanessa even going so far to threaten some form of painful punishment if he didn't listen, and RJ wasn't going to tempt the fates and find out what she meant. The door swung soundlessly open and they stepped into the foyer. Remi's eyes were scanning nearly everywhere at once. The house had a majestic feeling to it, but it wasn't overwhelming. It was obvious that the house was lived in and that made it every welcoming. RJ was going to call out to his siblings that they had arrived, but Vanessa's voice drifted in from the living room. RJ put a finger to his lips, motioning Remi to be quiet. RJ moved quietly towards the living room and held back the chuckle that threatened to slip from his lips. Vanessa had changed into a tight pair of black and silver spandex shorts with a matching bandana holding her long thick hair off of her face. She was dancing in front of the fireplace, a dust rag in her hand. It was warm in the Manor, and Vanessa had simply thrown on a black sports bra. Her voice was light and melodic as she danced and dusted. "Where have all the good men gone, and where are all the gods?" Vanessa sang and pranced around. "Where's the street-wise Hercules to fight the rising odds?" "Need a hero, Sis?" RJ couldn't contain his laughter anymore. "Reyhen Jeremiah!" Vanessa stood completely still, keeping her back to them. "Your brother better NOT be standing next to you because you agreed to take him out to dinner so we could tidy up!" Remi glared at RJ, upset that he was getting off on the wrong foot with RJ's new siblings. RJ smiled at him and pushed his brother off to the side into the hallway so Vanessa couldn't see him. He motioned to Remi to stay quiet. "No worries, Hun." RJ grinned. "Remi is outside checking out the front of the house. This way I could come in here and warn the two of you." "Good job." Vanessa spun around and moved towards him. "Because otherwise I would have had to kick your ass over all fifteen acres that we have here." Trinity: Origins Ch. 03 She moved faster than RJ had expected, flying past RJ as she ruffled his hair. Before RJ had a chance to move or warn her, Vanessa went speeding into the hallway. She ran directly into Remi, yelping in surprise. It had felt like she had run into a brick wall. Her arms spun as she tried to regain her balance, but it was a losing battle. Vanessa's body tilted backwards as she fell towards the floor. Remi's hands shot out quickly and grabbed her slim waist. He tried to pull her back upright, but he wasn't fast enough. Remi tilted at the waist, at least hoping to keep her from hitting the floor. RJ watched in fascination as Remi had turned Vanessa's fall into graceful, low dip. Vanessa's eyes widened in shock when she felt her body stop. She had expected to feel herself slam into the floor. "What?" Vanessa gazed up into the eyes of her savior. Her heart was beating wildly in her chest as she looked deep into the warm, hazel eyes that were staring down at her. "You must be..." "Remington Armand." Remi's rich voice made her pulse quicken even more. "At your service." Trinity: Origins Ch. 04-08 "Vanessa Romane." Vanessa quietly replied after a few minutes. A faint blush appeared on her cheeks. She mentally scolded herself for having such a reaction to Reyhen's adopted brother. "I'd say it was a pleasure to meet you, but this is kinda embarrassing." "It's all your brother's fault." Remi grinned and gently lifted Vanessa back up to her feet. "He was the one that pushed me out of the way while we were watching you...uh...clean?" "Our brother." Vanessa corrected him as she groaned in discomfort. "You saw that?" Vanessa gave Reyhen a look that clearly said 'I'm going to kill you at the first opportunity that no one will catch me.' Remi was oblivious to the look, his mind was still wrapping around Vanessa's correcting him. He was feeling more at ease, seeing how true RJ's words from earlier were. Remi was still very nervous, but he knew that he immediately liked Vanessa. If he was honest with himself, he knew that he was more concerned about Alec. RJ had never had a sister before, so Vanessa was a welcome addition. Remi had always been the older brother, and he couldn't stop the slight jealousy he felt towards Alec. He knew that he was being silly, and that RJ wouldn't even cast him aside, but emotions were a difficult thing to stop. Remi could only hope that over time his insecurities would go away. "I'm going to go get changed." Vanessa shot another evil look at RJ. "Peanut, why don't you show Remi around the downstairs." "Peanut?" RJ gasped. "You can't call me Peanut." "Sure I can." Vanessa smiled sweetly at him. "I just did...Peanut." Remi held back his laughter at the outraged looked on Reyhen's face. He wasn't sure what he enjoyed more, the fact that Vanessa could tease RJ so easily or the way she said his name. It just flowed from her mouth, like she was meant to say it. Remi quickly shook his head, clearing any such thoughts. He had other things to concentrate on, and the reddening face of his younger brother was one of them. "She...I.... URGH." Reyhen wasn't able to complete a thought as he watched Vanessa laugh and run up the stairs. "She can not call me PEANUT!" "I don't see how you're gonna stop her." Remi grinned and muttered quietly under his breath. "Peanut." "TRAITOR!" RJ yelled and lunged at him. "Who's a traitor?" Alec's voice echoed down to them as he made his way down the stairs. He had changed into a pair of old blue jeans and a plain tight gray T-shirt. "He is!" Reyhen glared at Remi. "Vanessa called me something, which I totally didn't appreciate, and then he had the nerve to mutter it!" "Settle down, Peanut." Alec used the nickname since he overheard Vanessa saying it. He reached out a hand to Remi. "You must be Remi. I'm Alec." "Good to meet you, Alec." Remi gave him a small smile, not wanting to be rude but not wanting to be completely open either. "Since our dear brother hasn't done it already," Alec ignored RJ's curses and muttering. "Why don't I show you around the house?" Remi nodded and pulled RJ with him as he followed Alec. He was just as impressed with the inside of the Manor as he was with the outside. Everything was tastefully decorated, but it had a comfortable homey feel to it. Remi couldn't stop himself from relaxing and enjoying Alec's company, not that he really wanted to at that point. He could see that RJ's comparison of the two was fairly accurate. "Peanut, where are you, Peanut?" Vanessa's voice called from the foyer. "She is MINE!" RJ snarled and took off, leaving Remi and Alec standing alone in the kitchen. Alec nervously lit a cigarette as the sounds of scuffling could be heard from the front of the house. The two men glanced at each other from time to time. Neither one of them really knew how to start a conversation. Remi took a deep breath and figured that the truth would be a good way to begin. "I didn't want to like you." His soft voice could barely be heard over Vanessa and Reyhen's fighting in the foyer. "That's what I was afraid of." Alec replied just as softly. "I was worried that you would hate us for our sudden appearance and think we were taking RJ away from your family." "Away from me." Remi looked at the pack of smokes on the table, his silent question obvious on his face. Alec nodded and pushed them towards him. "We're the only ones left of the family." "I know that feeling." Alec gently tapped his cigarette into an ashtray. "It's that way with us too. It's only me and Vanessa now." "I'm sorry." Remi's words were heartfelt and sincere. The pain of losing a family was one that he didn't wish on anyone. He looked at Alec curiously. "You're not going to ask how?" "That's your place, and RJ's, to share when you're ready." Alec smiled softly. "I don't know you well enough to feel comfortable asking that question." "You're making it really tough to dislike you." Remi laughed as he heard RJ yelling out 'Uncle!'. He smiled at Alec. "Not that I really wanted to." "Even if you did, I'd understand." Alec laughed along with him. "I can't make you believe this, but, neither of us want to take RJ away from you. We just want to get to know him and you too. You're both welcome here. Please think of it as your home." "Thanks, I'll try and do that." Remi finally allowed a full smile to grace his lips. Alec was amazed at how open the man's face became as his dimples showed. "Ride'em cowgirl!" Vanessa whooped as she rode into the kitchen on Reyhen's back. "Whoa, boy!" Alec clutched his stomach as he laughed at his brother and sister. Vanessa had changed into a pair of soft, faded black jeans and a green tank top. Her hair was pulled back in a simple braid. She was riding on Reyhen's back, her legs wrapped around his waist. RJ looked really pissed off as Vanessa slid off his back and patted his ass. "Thatta boy." Vanessa grinned. She pinched RJ's cheeks as she kissed his forehead. "You're just so cute! Peanut, my little pony." "Vanessa..." Alec tried to warn her. RJ snarled and swung his foot behind Vanessa and gave her a light shove on the shoulders. Vanessa stepped back, her leg knocking against RJ's foot. She tilted backwards for a second time that night. She allowed her legs to bend at the knee, throwing her right hand back to catch herself. After catching her balance she pushed off the ground and back up into a standing position. "Smooth move there, Sis." Alec laughed. "Well, I have been dealing with you long enough to pick a few things up." She winked at the guys before turning towards RJ. "You fight the same way Alec does." "That should make for some interesting sparring then." RJ grinned at Alec. "We'll see." Alec chuckled and ground the butt of his cigarette out in the ashtray. He noticed that Remi was being quiet and was sneaking covert glances at Vanessa. "So, Remi, did you bring your luggage with you?" "I, uh, no." Remi glanced up at Alec being caught a little off guard. "I just thought that I would be going back to the hotel tonight." "No way, mister." Vanessa shook her finger at him. "You'll be staying here. There's another room right next to Reyhen's that you can stay in." "We can get your clothes tomorrow." Alec smiled. "You look like you're about the same size as me, so my clothes should fit you." "You have your own room?" Remi raised an eyebrow in question at RJ. "You didn't mention that." "Correction, you both have your own rooms." Vanessa smiled brightly. "That is, if you'd like one. Our home is your home now." Alec nodded in agreement to his sister's statement. "Wow. I don't know what to say." Remi stuttered. He had never felt so off balance before. "You don't have to say anything." Alec grabbed a bottle of champagne out of the fridge. "The room is your is you want it, no pressure at all. How about we have a drink to celebrate?" Vanessa moved over to a cabinet and was reaching up to grab some glasses. They were just barely out of her reach. Before she could say anything Remi was on his feet and taking the glasses down for her. She smiled gratefully at him before taking the glasses from him and sitting them on the table. Alec and RJ shared an amused look as Alec uncorked the bottle of champagne. Alec filled the glasses and handed one to everyone. "A toast?" Alec asked as he raised his glass. "To family, old and new." Reyhen said after a moment. The rest of the group echoed his words before clinking their glasses together. They stayed up late into the evening talking and getting to know one another. All of them felt at ease and were looking forward to the days to come. If only they knew what strange things were looming on the horizon.  The sound of thunder woke RJ up as it echoed through the sky. He sat up quickly in bed covered in a cold sweat. It had been a long time since he had the nightmares, but for some reason they had returned that night with a vengeance. His body trembled as images and feelings lingered in his still sleepy mind. Reyhen swung his legs out of bed and stood shakily on his feet. He felt a chill in the air and pulled the t-shirt off of the floor he had discarded as he got ready for bed. He retied the strings at the waist of his pajama pants before stumbling through the darkened bedroom and into the hallway. A flash of lightning illuminated the empty hallway, causing a chill to run down his spine. He moved quickly to the door of Remi's bedroom and quietly moved inside. RJ was barely able to make out where the bed was in the dark room. He quietly sat down on the edge of the bed, shaking the sleeping form that was lying in the center. "Bro. Wake up." He whispered. "The nightmares are back." "Nightmares?" A sleepy voice asked from the bed. "Reyhen, is that you?" "Alec?" RJ wanted to smack himself. "I'm sorry. I thought Remi was in here. I didn't mean to wake you up." "S'ok." Alec sat up in bed. "What's wrong?" "It's...I..." RJ's voice trembled. "Hey, are you okay?" Alec slid closer to the young man. He reached out and gently squeezed the back of RJ's neck. "I don't know." RJ sighed as a sense of calm rushed through him from Alec's touch. "I used to have nightmares all the time, but they went away. They came back tonight though." "Do you want to talk about it?" Alec gently asked, not wanting to push the subject. "I...yeah." RJ nodded. "If you don't mind." "Course I don't." Alec slid back towards the center of the bed and lifted the covers. "Wanna climb in? It's a bit chilly tonight." RJ smiled softly and climbed under the covers. He lay down on his back as Alec lay on his side next to him. It was warm under the covers and RJ felt safe for the first time since waking up. He looked over and tried to make out Alec's face in the dark. "I'm not sure where to start." His voice was quiet. "Start wherever you feel most comfortable, bro." Alec's voice was soothing. "Okay." RJ smiled to himself as he heard Alec call him bro. It sounded, and felt, right. "My parents died three years ago." "I'm sorry." Alec whispered. "Thanks. They had taken a vacation to Europe, a second honeymoon." RJ closed his eyes as memories rushed through his mind. "They were supposed to be gone for only two weeks, but they were having such a good time they decided to stay for a bit longer." "What happened?" Alec reached over and grabbed RJ's hand, offering as much comfort as he could. "It was their last day and they decided to exchange their money back into American dollars." RJ held back the tears that filled his eyes. "There was a holdup at the bank. One of the robbers had a bomb and threatened to blow the place apart if they didn't get all of the money in the safe." Alec heard the tremble in RJ's voice and he shifted closer to his brother. Alec had a bad feeling where the story was going, but he didn't want to interrupt. He knew that it had to be difficult enough talking about it let alone having someone asking a bunch of questions. "For whatever reason an argument broke out between the robbers." RJ let out a shaky sigh. "Before the police or anyone could do anything, the bomb somehow had been detonated. It had taken out the entire bank and parts of the building on either side of it. There...there weren't any survivors." "Oh my God" Alec breathed out quietly. "It was after we found out what happened that the nightmares started." Tears slid slowly over RJ's cheeks. "They are never the exact same thing, but the overall idea of it always is. Whatever the situation, I'm always alone and no one can hear me or see me. I'm always left alone..." RJ had begun to quietly sob, and Alec wasn't sure what to do. Hearing RJ crying broke his heart and he finally reached out and pulled his brother to him. He wrapped his arms around the younger man and stroked the back of his head. Reyhen grabbed onto Alec and cried quietly against his chest. After a little while RJ's tears subsided and he became quiet. "You'll never be alone." Alec's strong voice rumbled in his chest. "You have Remi, and you also have me and Nessa now. We'll make sure you're never alone." "Thanks." RJ felt himself drifting off to sleep, his body feeling secure next to Alec. "Can I...stay here for the night?" "Course." Alec simply replied. He pulled the covers tightly around them. Alec had expected RJ to move, but was surprised when the man snuggled closer to him. Alec smiled and kissed the top of his brother's head. "You get some sleep." "G'night." RJ mumbled. "Thanks." "You're welcome." Alec whispered back as sleep overtook them both.  The next time RJ woke up the sun was streaming in through the windows. He had slept the rest of the night peacefully, none of his nightmares returning. As Reyhen stretched he realized there was a strong arm wrapped around his waist. He glanced over his shoulder and saw Alec's sleeping face. His brother was snoring gently in his sleep. RJ relaxed for a moment, enjoying the peaceful feeling that filled his body. He had been initially embarrassed the night before when he realized he had stumbled into Alec's room and not Remi's. Before he knew it though, he was spilling some of his darkest problems to Alec without even a second thought. Reyhen thought he would have been more uncomfortable about it, but that wasn't the case at all. He felt like a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders and a bright smile appeared on his face. RJ carefully got out of bed, making sure not to wake Alec up. He padded softly back into his room and went into his private bathroom. After going through his morning routine he could smell the scent of cooking bacon. His stomach rumbled loudly and he chuckled. Reyhen quickly made his way down to kitchen where he found Vanessa standing in her pajamas at the stove. "Morning." RJ said as he entered the kitchen. "Hey there!" Vanessa turned and grinned at him. "I knew the smell of food would wake someone up! How'd you sleep last night?" "Like a baby." RJ responded with a grin. "Good." Vanessa removed some sizzling hot bacon from the pan, placing it on a plate before adding more to the hot grease. "That was a wicked storm last night." "Yeah, it was." RJ poured himself a glass of orange juice. He sat down at the kitchen table and watched Vanessa as she cooked. "You want anything special for breakfast?" She asked. "Would some pancakes be okay?" RJ's belly rumbled loudly. "Pancakes sound great!" She laughed as she heard his belly rumble. "Would you mind starting them while I finish frying up this bacon?" "Don't mind at all." RJ stood and moved towards one of the lower cabinets. He reached inside, barely even looking, and grabbed the pancake mix. Vanessa had turned to tell him where the mix was and shrugged to herself as she saw RJ had already found it. A few minutes later Remi was standing silently in the doorway. He watched as Vanessa and RJ worked side by side, occasionally teasing or joking with each other. He couldn't stop the smile that appeared on his face as he saw how happy his brother was. Remi had to admit that the Romanes were a very easy family to get along with. He was already feeling very much at home. "Something smells delicious." Remi announced his presence as he walked into the kitchen. "Morning Remi." Vanessa and RJ said at the same time before turning to each other and laughing. "Morning." Remi moved towards them and leaned over to grab a piece of bacon. Vanessa moved faster than he did and lightly smacked the back of his hand with the spatula. "Ow!" "No eating until everyone is up!" She watched as Remi nursed his hurt hand. "I didn't hit you that hard." She grabbed his hand and gently kissed the spot she had hit, her thumb rubbing gentle circles over it. "There all better." "I forgot to warn you that she hits hard." RJ chuckled, but went quiet as Vanessa turned to him, spatula in hand. "I was just warning him!" Remi laughed as he watched the two of them continue their lighthearted bickering. His fingers trailing over the spot Vanessa had kissed absently. Remi shook his head and moved to pour himself some coffee. Vanessa told him where the sugar could be found before he even had a chance to fill his cup. "Do the two of you need any help?" He asked. "The bread is on top of the microwave." Vanessa pointed in that direction as she prepared the griddle for the pancakes. "You could start making some toast." RJ was just finishing up the pancake batter as Vanessa grabbed something out of one of the cabinets. She handed the small bag to RJ, and he looked at her curiously. Vanessa grinned and motioned to the batter. He shrugged and poured the bag of chocolate chips into the thick batter. "Who says you can't have chocolate with breakfast?" Vanessa laughed as she mixed the chips into the batter before pouring some onto the hot griddle. "Chocolate chip pancakes?" Alec asked as he strolled into the kitchen. "Yummy! I'm starving!" "Who are you and what did you do with Alec?" Vanessa glanced over at him. "What?" Alec asked defensively. "Don't what me." Vanessa laughed as she flipped the pancakes. "You've NEVER been a morning person. So what's so different about today?" "I don't know." Alec glanced quickly at RJ and smiled. "I must have had a good night of sleep I guess." Reyhen was thankful that his brother didn't bring up the previous night's events. He wasn't really sure he had the energy to talk about it again so soon, and he was having a great time so far that morning. He helped Vanessa finish up making the pancakes and started moving them over to the table. The four of them made quiet conversation as they enjoyed their breakfast. "That was wonderful!" Remi leaned back in his chair when he was done eating. "I'm stuffed." "I always knew you were full of it." RJ joked. Vanessa laughed heartily along with RJ. "I'm glad that someone finally thinks your funny, Sport." Remi sighed and rolled his eyes. "Seriously, I'm going to have to add in a few work outs to get rid of all this food." "You look fine to me." Vanessa smiled as her eyes roamed over what she could see of Remi's body. "Can someone take me back over to the hotel to get my stuff?" Remi asked, quickly changing the subject. "I'll take you!" Vanessa said as she started clearing off the table. "I haven't driven Alec's baby in a while." "You better be careful!" Alec warned his sister. "Aren't I always dear brother?" Vanessa blew him a kiss. "That poor old lady's mailbox wouldn't agree with you." Alec snickered. "As long as she drives better than RJ, I'll be fine." Remi laughed at the glare RJ shot him. "Did you have a good time driving last night?" Alec asked RJ. "That car practically begs to fly." "That's what I said!" RJ grinned. "Okay, I'm going to get dressed." Vanessa grinned. "Alec, RJ, you two can finish cleaning up. Remi, I'll met you outside in ten minutes!" Trinity: Origins Ch. 04-08 "Does she really drive crazy?" Remi asked after Vanessa had left the kitchen. "Nah. I just like to tease her." Alec stood up and took his plates to the sink. He looked over his shoulder and caught RJ's eye and winked. He knew that poor Remi had no idea what was in store for him.  Chapter Five The radio blared loudly as Alec's car flew down the side streets. Vanessa's hair whipped in the wind of her open window as she flicked her cigarette ash out it. Her fingers tapped merrily on the steering wheel as she sang along to the music. She was completely oblivious to Remi's pale face as he tried to keep his breathing even. He berated himself for being so damn scared in the car, especially since he had been a part of high-speed chases before without even blinking an eye. If Remi had been honest with himself, he would know that he wasn't scared of the high speeds of the car, but nervous around its beautiful driver. There was just something about Vanessa Romane that seemed to draw him to her. He had never been so effected by a woman before, and the woman being his adoptive brother's sister was very disconcerting. "My driving isn't that bad." Vanessa's eyes twinkled merrily as she glanced over at Remi. A blush nearly appeared on his face as she winked at him, but he was able to just barely stop it. "I'm probably just still feeling off from jet-lag." Remi forced himself to relax under her gaze. He noticed they had almost passed the entrance to the hotel's parking lot. "Here's the turn!" "Roger!" Vanessa flipped on her turn signal and spun the wheel to the left. The car immediately slid sideways for a moment before the back tires caught the pavement again, sending the car screeching into the lot. "Man, this thing really does turn on a dime." Remi stepped out of the car as soon as Vanessa had put it in park, resisting the urge to kiss the ground. Vanessa locked the car and moved around to the side Remi was on. She laughed at the relieved expression on his face. Her fingers reached out as she brushed some stray locks of hair off of his forehead. "You ready to get your shit?" Vanessa grinned. Remi simply nodded in response, not trusting his voice to function properly after feeling her touch against his skin. He took slow, deep breaths as they walked through the parking lot. His reaction to being around Vanessa was something he hoped would stop. Not only was he not looking for any type of romantic involvement, but also there was no way he could date his brother's sister. Just thinking about it in those terms was enough to give him a headache.  "So you haven't heard anything at all since that night?" RJ asked as they finished stretching. The two brothers were in the training area of the Dungeon, both of them wearing only black jogging pants. Their bare chests glistened slightly under the light. Alec was surprised to see that they had the same warm up routine. The two men flowing from pose to pose in perfect unison. "Not a thing." Alec turned and smiled at his brother. "I can't even be sure that Joshua was the one to leave my pendant there." "It had to be him." Reyhen ran a hand through his hair. "Who else could it have been?" "Very true." Alec shook his head. "I can't even believe I told you about all of that. I haven't even talked to Nessa about it that much." "Some things you can only share with your brother." RJ smiled at him. "Though it's still hard to believe that you're gay." "Why?" Alec grinned at RJ's comment. "Not all gay guys are feminine." "I know that." RJ stuck his tongue out. "I just think it's odd for two out of the three of us to be gay." "Nessa's not gay, she may act pretty butch sometimes but..." Alec's voice trailed off for a moment as he looked at RJ's smirking face. "Okay, so I was a little slow on the uptake. How did your family react?" "A little slow?" RJ laughed as he gently shoved Alec. "My adoptive parents were really cool about it, so is Remi. They all just want me to be happy." "That's good." Alec stepped back falling into a defensive stance. "Let's see what ya got." "Just remember you asked for it." RJ took a deep breath before attacking. For the next hour the two brothers sparred, moving with incredible speed and accuracy. Frustration set into both of them as their practicing continued. Neither one of them had been able to secure a hit on each other. Just when they thought they had found an opening, the other would quickly block. Alec finally held his hand up, panting heavily. "I can't believe I haven't been able to tag you at least once." He breathed. "You and me both." RJ bent over, placing his hands on his knees. "You were throwing out some moves I've never seen before." "Then how the hell were you blocking me, Bro?" Alec shook his head and wiped the sweat off of his brow. "I have no fucking clue." RJ stretched. "It was like my brain just shut off and my body just moved on its own. Or maybe we just have the same gay fighting style?" "That could be." Alec laughed and slung his arm over RJ's shoulders. "Let's grab some lunch. Nessa and Remi should be back soon. I hope he lived through her driving." "Is she really that bad?" RJ walked with Alec out of the Dungeon, grabbing their previously discarded shirts. "She always has control of the car, she just likes to drive really fast." Alec grinned. "Oh, and just so you know, when we find Joshua, I'll kick his ass for not contacting you." Reyhen quietly said as they walked towards the kitchen. "I appreciate that." Alec ruffled his brother's hair. "I think you'll have to beat Nessa to it, though. She wants to rip his head off." "Why do I have a feeling it won't be the head on his shoulders she goes after?" RJ winked at his brother. "You and me both." Alec smiled.  Vanessa looked around the nicely furnished hotel room. Remi was quickly moving around and grabbing all of his things. He was a bit embarrassed that Nessa had followed him up into the hotel. The previous night he nearly ripped apart his suitcase trying to find something appropriate to wear and because of that most of his clothes ended up strewn about the room. "It looks like a tornado ripped through here." Vanessa chuckled as she flopped down on the bed. "You're as messy as Alec." "I'm not messy, thank you very much." Remi huffed. "I was just in a rush to find something to wear to your house last night." "Awww, were you trying to impress us?" Vanessa grinned and winked at him. "No." Remi turned from her, hiding his blush. "Someone's lying." Nessa's voice was light and teasing. "Ok, well, maybe." Remi glared at her. "Definitely." She laughed and stood up, grabbing his suitcase. "Are you done yet? My gram could pack faster, and she hasn't been on this Earth for some time now." "You've got a mouth on you." Remi laughed and grabbed his duffel bag. "I know." Vanessa shrugged and headed towards the door. "It's a gift." "Well that depends on how you look at it." Remi muttered under his breath, though he shrugged apologetically as he noticed Vanessa was looking at him. "Sorry?" "Yeah, you look it." She shook her head and fixed a fake glare on her face. "Since I've given Peanut a nickname, maybe you need one too." "No, really, that's ok, Nessa." Remi was quick to respond. "There isn't any need for that." "Let's just finish getting you packed. I'm sure Alec and RJ are beating the hell out of each other by now." A jealous sigh slipped past her lips. "Why would they be doing that?" Remi dropped the shirt he was about to put into his duffel bag. "Training." Vanessa gave him an odd look. "Ya know, the thing we all do at least once a day." "Right." Remi nervously laughed. "I guess my brain is just fried." "That depends on how you look at it." She smirked as she threw his words back at him. "Ya know what you need?" "I told you that I don't want a nickname." Remi grabbed his suitcase from her. "You'll get one whether you want one or not." Vanessa grabbed his duffel bag and headed towards the door. "You move to slow. Now, as I was saying, you need a night out." "I'm not big on going out." Remi followed behind Vanessa and almost walked into her as she stopped dead in her tracks. "I didn't ask if you wanted to go out. I said you needed a night out. So grab your gun from under your pillow and let's go. You're really lucky housekeeping didn't find that." Vanessa looked over her shoulder and saw the incredulous look Remi was giving her. "What? Doesn't everyone keep a gun under their pillow?" She shrugged and walked out of the room. "No." Remi's voice was quiet in the silent room. "Not everyone keeps a gun under their pillow."  "Left foot green." Vanessa called out after looking at the board in front of her. "I swear to all that's holy you're not even spinning that thing!" Reyhen spat. His body tightened as he slid his leg under Alec to place his foot on the green circle. "You're just trying to get us into the most fucked up positions you can think of!" "She's a kinky bitch." Alec grunted under his breath. His body was nearly bent in a pretzel as he tried to keep his body balanced. "When you said a night of fun, this never entered my mind." Remi laughed. "Well you were so damn adamant that you didn't want to go out, so I figured I'd bust out some old games." Vanessa smiled and flicked the spinner again. She glanced down and saw that it was pointing to 'right hand blue'. "Left hand yellow!" "You're lying!" Alec growled at her. "You barely even glanced at that thing! It was probably something easy like right hand on blue!" "What are you reading my mind?" Vanessa laughed. "This way is more difficult, besides, it will help you in the field." "How is a kid's game gonna help out?" RJ sighed as he felt the muscles in his lower back tighten from holding the position so long. "It's a game of balance and concentration." Remi nodded at him and Alec. "And dealing with outside influences." "How very astute of you." Vanessa gave him a bright smile. "Intelligence is a very sexy quality for a man to have!" Alec noticed the slight color on Remi's face and gently nudged RJ as he nodded in the man's direction. RJ looked over at his brother before winking back at Alec. "Besides that," A bright twinkle appeared in Nessa's eyes. "This is helpful for Alec and RJ." She winked at Remi. "Cause you know those gays get into all kinds of fucked up, kinky sexual positions." Her brothers were so shocked by her comment it caused them to fall down on top of each other. Remi's laughter rang out through the living room as he watched the evil looks the two men were shooting at Vanessa. "Looks like I win." Remi brushed a lock of hair off of his face as he stood up. "No way! She cheated!" RJ whined. "Shut it, Peanut. Not my fault you're so easy to psyche out." Vanessa smirked. "Bitch!" He snarled and lunged off the floor towards her. Vanessa yelped and took off into the kitchen. "Those two are too much." Remi offered a hand to Alec to help him up. "Tell me about it." Alec smiled. "I thought roughhousing was normally between brothers, not a brother and sister." "Very true." Remi laughed and shoved Alec backward, causing him to fall onto the couch. "Catch me if you can." Alec growled and raced after Remi. As he headed up the stairs in pursuit he saw Reyhen leapt through the air and tackle Vanessa to the ground. Though it was only a second later he was flying through the air as she tossed him off. "Gotta do better than that, Peanut!" Vanessa laughed as RJ yelled a sting of curses at her. The night was turning out to be a fun evening after all. Almost an hour later the four of them collapsed on the couches in the living room, exhausted from running all over the house. "Vanessa, Alec, Remington, and Reyhen." Muse's voice got their attention. "Please report to the Dungeon immediately." "What do you think is going on?" Remi asked as Vanessa and Alec led them down into the Dungeon. "I don't know, but I don't think it's bad." Alec answered. "If it was something like a mission she would have requested us by our codenames." "Speaking of codenames, what are your names?" Vanessa looked at Remi and Reyhen. "Mine is Maelstrom." Reyhen rolled his eyes. "How'd ya get a name like that, Bro?" Alec asked. "Because of his temper." Remi laughed and threw an arm around RJ's shoulders. "It can get pretty violent." "Shut up, Silverwolf." RJ smirked at Remi. "And your name is Silverwolf because?" Vanessa grinned. "Cause he's a total animal and shits in the woods." Reyhen responded before Remi had a chance. He ducked at the hand that flew towards the back of his head. "Because of my courage and my loyalty." Remi explained. "I'm very protective of the people I care about, almost like a wolf caring for his pack." "What about you two?" Reyhen questioned his siblings. "I would be Trinity because of my strength in mind, body, and soul." Vanessa replied. "And Alec here is Phoenix because he tends to always rise from the ashes, so to speak." "Wait a minute." Remi stopped and stared at them. "You're THE Trinity and Phoenix?" "Huh?" Alec looked at Remi and Reyhen's look of shock in confusion. "I've heard about the two of you before." Remi shook his head. "On my last couple of missions I heard some of the scum we were chasing talking about the two of you. You're like the best of the best of us." "I wouldn't say that." Alec waved away the comments. "We do what we need to do, end of story." "I can't believe you didn't tell us!" RJ looked back and forth at Vanessa and Alec. "You didn't ask." Alec sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Besides, I didn't think that was important. We were more concerned with getting to know you, instead of talking about the family business." "Look, we can talk this out more later, but for now we need to see what Muse wanted." Vanessa turned and continued walking into the Dungeon. "Thank you for coming." Muse's voice echoed through the cavernous space. "You must all pack your bags right away." "Oh, come on, Muse. We can't go on another mission now." Alec sighed. "We're still getting to know Reyhen and Remi." "You are not going on a mission, Alec." They could almost hear laughter in his rich voice. "Reyhen's birthday is soon approaching. Your parents had requested a special gift for the occasion." "Our parents?" Reyhen's voice was thick with emotion. His siblings moved closer to him, giving him strength. "The reason of your adoption will soon be fully realized. Destinies will be fulfilled." Muse's message was cryptic enough that the four of them looked at each other questioningly. "You're presence is requested at Covenant Headquarters. You will leave first thing in the morning." "What do you mean headquarters?" Reyhen asked. "No one knows where that is." "The plane will be prepared for take off at eight o'clock in the morning." Muse continued, ignoring RJ's question. "Make sure to get plenty of rest tonight." "Muse, could you tell us where we are going please?" Alec requested. "To Stonehenge."  The moonlight permeated the room, illuminating the angular angles of the man's face that stared up at the night sky. A long, deep sigh slipped past his lips as he gazed out at the seemingly hundreds of stars that filled the night. "I knew I would find you here." The man ignored the woman that appeared in the doorway. "Braeden, you can't keep doing this to yourself." "Leave me alone, Riona." Braeden didn't even look in her direction. "You know damn well I don't want to be here." "You know that we had no choice." Riona crossed the room and knelt down next to him. The moonlight made it look like her blonde hair was glowing, almost giving her an ethereal appearance. "You may not value your life, cousin, but we do." "Dying doesn't scare me, Rio." The man's voice softened a fraction. "I'm scared about what's going on out there. I can't stay here forever." "And you won't, Brae." She reached out and ran her fingers through his hair. "You have no patience whatsoever." "That's not the point!" Brae finally turned and stared at Riona. "I can't just sit here while..." "Shhh." She laid her fingers gently against his lips, quieting him. "I know, but something more important has come up, and we don't have time to go through this again." "What the fuck could be more important?" Braeden jerked up into a standing position and leaned against the window. "The Triad." Riona's voice was soft and breathless. "Rio, I don't really feel like talking about fairytales and legends, okay?" Braeden rolled his eyes. "Please, just leave me alone." "It's not a fairytale, cousin." Her Irish brogue was thick with fear. "The legend will soon be a reality." "What?" Braeden turned to look at his cousin. He knew that she occasionally was gifted with a vision of things to come, which was one of the reasons why he was there. "What have you seen?" "I saw lights dancing through the night sky." Her eyes almost glazed over as she remembered the things that she saw. "The air full of...something. Something so tangible I could feel it in my bones. It's begun, Brae." "Are you shitting me?" Braeden's forced himself to take a few deep breaths. "The Trinity has been formed?" "The pieces are all there, but they haven't been put together yet." Riona shrugged. "I can't really say much more than that. This vision wasn't all that detailed." "That's impossible. Your sight has always been crystal clear." He shook his head. "Unfortunately, it was pretty foggy this time." Riona sighed and sat down on his bed. "I don't think I'm meant to know what exactly is coming, Brae. The heavens just want me to know that it is almost here, nothing more. We both know that too much information about the Trinity is dangerous." "Can you please ask the Elders again if I can leave?" Braeden refused to meet her gaze. "I'll ask, but we both know the answer to that question already." She moved towards him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I know you don't believe this, but they are worried about you. And now with this new development..." "I know." He rested his forehead against the cool glass. "It's probably too late anyway." "What will be, will be, Brae." She squeezed the solid muscle that lay under her fingers. "There is much work to do. I'll need your help in the library tomorrow." Riona laughed as her cousin groaned. "Don't be like that, it will get you out of the house." "Good point. I'll help." Braeden wished his cousin a good night as she left. As the door clicked closed behind her his eyes scanned the night sky again, his voice whispering into the darkness. "Forgive me."  Chapter Six "When I asked you to help, Brae, I didn't expect you to sit there with an open book and stare out the window all day." Riona sighed and shook her head in exasperation. She had thought getting her cousin out of her house would have picked his spirits up, but Riona realized that that wasn't going to happen. "We need to find any more information we can. Time is running out." "I know, Rio, I'm sorry." Braeden ran a hand through his hair. "My mind just isn't focusing at all this morning." "You need to be focusing all the time, dear cousin." Riona glared at him. "You're going to need that focus when you become bonded." "Can we not start on that bullshit again, Rio?" Brae pushed a lock of hair from his face and frowned. "I find it difficult to believe that the Triad will be as powerful the legends claim, and if they were, then why would they need outside help?" "You know very well what the legends say." Rio's tone had taken on a lecturing tone. "The bonding isn't just about the magic, it also involves the souls..." "Enough!" Braeden quickly stood up, his chair falling backwards to the floor. "You know very well that THAT isn't possible!" Trinity: Origins Ch. 04-08 Riona's eyes focused on her angry cousin as she muttered under her breath. After a moment a pale blue light shimmered around him. Within a blink of an eye the light faded away, leaving one to even question if it was there to begin with. Braeden breathed deeply as a wave of calmness settled over him. He quietly picked up his chair and sat back down. "Thanks." Braeden murmured. "No need to thank me." Riona reached over and squeezed his hand. "I know that your heart lies elsewhere, but we both know what the scrolls say. Whether you like it or not, it is your destiny." "I know." Braeden's hand rubbed across his face. "I just wish things were different." "Life has dealt you a hand to play, Brae. What you make of it is up to you." Riona opened another ancient book. "I'd suggest keeping an open mind. You never know what may happen." "I'm going to go meditate." Braeden smiled at her before moving to sit under the open window. Riona watched as her cousin sat down on the floor and closed his eyes. A soft smile appeared on her face as she observed him. Braeden never saw the small balls of silver light that floated around him when he was able to deeply meditate. Riona knew that even if he did see them he would never believe it. Her cousin had a way of believing only the things he wanted to, even if proof was staring him right in the face. Riona had hoped she was doing the right thing. Her visions of the Trinity were more detailed than what she told anyone. She knew that secrets had to be kept. The prophecies were finally coming true, and there was no way that she would endanger any of them. Her smile grew larger as she thought of some of the things she had seen. Life would definitely never be the same. "What exactly does being an Animus mean?" Braeden's eyes remained closed as he asked his question. He strengthened his mind to continue the conversation while he meditated. "If I'm going to be one, you should probably tell me more about it." "There isn't much I can tell you." Rio sighed. It wasn't the first time her cousin had asked the question. "You know the Council..." "Fuck the Council, Rio!" The silver orbs vanished a mere second before Brae's eyes snapped open. "I've been kept in the dark too long." "You're right." Rio kept her smile hidden. She knew the only way to get her cousin to listen was to pique his curiosity. Rio had been dropping hints for weeks, and she was glad to see her work finally pay off. "Being an Animus isn't something that a person chooses to do, it's something they are born to do." "Obviously. I certainly don't want any part of this, but I really don't have a choice." Braeden stood and stretched his body. "A loose definition of an Animus would be guiding spirit." Rio pushed a strand of hair back behind her ear. "It is the Animus's responsibility to help their partner learn and control their powers." "How would I be able to help anyone if I have no clue what to do?" Braeden growled. "We don't even know what these powers are the legends refer to. That's if it is even true!" "You'll know what to do because it is your destiny." Rio stood and moved to place her hand on her cousin's shoulder. "You'll be much more than a teacher, Brae. An Animus is a soul mate, two halves of a whole. Whether you like it or not, your partner will mean a great deal to you." "You KNOW that there is no way that can happen!" Braeden's eyes narrowed. "My heart is my own, and I will not just give it away to some stranger!" "Just like your destiny, you'll have no choice in the matter, Braeden." Rio gave her cousin a sad smile. "What shall be will be." Braeden turned and started to walk away. "There is one other thing that you should know." "What's that?" Braeden glanced over his shoulder at her. "Since you will be bonded to one of the Trinity, you do receive a gift." Rio paused for a moment. "As an Animus your souls are connected, so part of their power will carry over." "This is too much." Braeden sighed. "I'm leaving, Rio. I can't stay here anymore." "Time's up, Braeden." Rio's eyes closed for a moment as she felt something shift in her mind. "They have arrived."  "The wings on the plane dip left and right, left and right, left and right." Vanessa sang as their plane streaked through the air. "The wings on the plane dip left and right all through the sky." "If you don't make her stop, I'm going to kill her." RJ growled as he glared at the back of his sister's head. "Whose idea was it to sing songs anyway?" "That would have been your idea." Alec glanced back at his brother from his co-pilot seat. "Fuck." RJ sighed and sunk back against his seat. "What's with the grouchiness?" Vanessa paused in her singing for a moment. "Did someone not get much sleep last night?" "He would have got more sleep if he didn't spend half the night sitting up and talking with Alec." Remi smirked at the younger men. "Hey! That's not my fault. He was the one that kept me up!" Alec laughed. "I'm sorry to have wasted your time with my chatter!" Reyhen snapped. He unbuckled his seat belt and moved back to the small galley to get something to drink. Remi, Alec, and Vanessa exchanged a look before Alec unbuckled his seatbelt and moved towards the back of the plane. Remi nodded and moved up into the abandoned co-pilot's seat. Alec's body shivered as he moved towards Reyhen, the back of the plane had a definite chill in the air. "Bro, what's wrong?" Alec kept his voice smooth and easy. "Nothing." Reyhen sighed and sat down on the small sofa that was back there. "Sure doesn't sound like nothing." Alec's stomach felt queasy as he sat down in a chair. He could tell that something was wrong with his younger brother, and his body knew that for certain. "I said it was nothing." RJ opened the soda and took a long swallow from it. "Why can't you just leave me alone?" "Because I'm worried about you." Alec reached out to his brother, but he sighed as RJ pulled away from his hand. "I can't help you if you don't talk to me." "Stop treating me like a child." RJ's eyes burned with anger. "Since day one you and Vanessa have been coddling me. I'm tired of it." "Are you pissed off because she wouldn't let you fly the plane?" Alec shook his head. "I don't even get to fly the damn thing. It's her baby." "Just leave me alone, Alec." RJ's eyes focused on the wall in front of him. "I just don't understand." Worry and confusion flowed through Alec as he moved back to the front of the plane. 'I can't let you get any closer...if I do, something will happen to you, just like Mom and Dad.' RJ thought to himself. He was so engrossed in his thoughts he never noticed the sharp look Alec gave him. "Did you two hear that?" Alec leaned forward and whispered to Remi and Vanessa. "Hear what?" Vanessa glanced back at him for a moment before returning her eyes back to the controls. "RJ." Alec looked back to make sure their brother wasn't paying attention. "He muttered something about not getting close to us because he's afraid of losing us, like his parents." "I didn't hear anything." Remi said as Vanessa shook her head. "Just give him some space, I'll talk to him after we land." He poked Vanessa in the arm. "And when, oh mighty pilot, do you think we'll be landing?" "In about an hour." Vanessa slapped his hand away. Reyhen's fingers toyed with the tab on the top of his can of soda as he tried to clear out his muddled brain. He had been trying to keep his emotions under control, but there were things that had been happening to him, things he couldn't talk to anyone about, not even Remi. For the past two nights RJ's dreams had been plagued with nightmares. Dark, menacing dreams that made his bones chill with fear. No matter how the dreams began, they always ended the same way, Vanessa and Alec dying. At first he just put the dreams off as relapses of his old nightmares, but the new dreams were different. He would wake up in the morning and his body would feel the things that had happened. The connection that had sprung up between himself and his siblings had surprised Reyhen, but it had felt so right he never questioned it. The thought of losing the two of them made him feel sick to his stomach, in fact, the thought of losing his brother and sister hurt more than losing his parents. That was something that confused him even more. How could it be that losing people he had just met would hurt more than the loss of the people he grew up with. Reyhen knew that he was going to have to talk to all three of them about it. Besides the fact that he had to apologize for being such an asshole that day. He dropped his empty can of soda into a small trashcan and moved back to the front of the plane. He returned the small smile Alec gave him and tried to relax back into his seat. RJ dozed off and before he knew it the plan was making its landing approach. They had arrived.  Rio forced the smile to stay on her face as she led the quartet into the guest home that had been arranged for their visit. Her stomach felt like a pit of snakes as she came face to face with the Triad, the prophesized Trinity. Besides the fact that her cousin had somehow given her the slip. She had asked Braeden to come with her, but he adamantly refused, and Rio had turned just for a second to grab her purse and he had disappeared. "There are three bedrooms." Rio advised them as they sat down in the living room. She turned to look at Remi. "I apologize that you will have to share. We were unaware that you would be coming." She hurried on as a she felt a shift in his aura. "Not that we are unpleased, it is a pleasant surprise. There just isn't anywhere else for us to move all of you to. Well, anywhere that's..." "Safe." Vanessa, Alec, and Reyhen finished for her. They hadn't even realized that they had spoken in unison. It wasn't the first time that word had been used since Riona picked them up. "This is where Covenant Headquarters is right?" Reyhen asked. He continued after Rio nodded. "So how could we not be safe here?" "Yeah." Alec added. "You told us on the ride over here that everyone in this little village is 'family'. So how could there be any threat to us?" "Not everyone in our little family believes the ancient legends." Rio sighed and blew a strand of hair off of her face. "I'm not sure that we even believe it." Vanessa shrugged. "It is kinda hard to take in, ya know?" She glanced at her siblings while flipping her hair over her shoulder. "Ancient powers? I don't think there's anything behind all this mumbo jumbo." Rio watched in curiosity as Vanessa and RJ argued with Alec and Remi. She noticed that the two pairs were on opposite sides of the argument. The two redheads both felt that there wasn't anything to the prophecy, while Alec and Remi were hesitant but they did believe. "Maybe I can help." Rio broke in. Four pairs of eyes were suddenly focused on her. "A demonstration?" "How can you demonstrate?" Vanessa's eyes narrowed. "I thought the prophecy talked about the three of us?" She motioned to Alec and Reyhen. "How would you come into play?" "Because I'm the Gatekeeper." Rio answered. She held up her hands to stop the bombardment of questions that came at her. "I can explain that in a moment, as well as answer your other questions, but first...a demonstration." They all watched as Rio moved over and sat down cross-legged on top of the coffee table. The silence in the living room became thicker as nearly fifteen minutes passed and nothing happened. Just as Reyhen open his mouth to say something a cool breeze floated through the room. Which couldn't be possible since all the windows were closed. As Riona's blond hair began to shift from the wind that circled around her three balls of crimson colored light appeared around her. Four identical gasps of shock echoed through the room. The balls of light hovered in place for a few moments before they began to slowly circle her. They watched in suspense as the trio of lights began to increase their speed. Within in minutes three blurred strands of light seemed to spin and circle around Riona. The wind increased slightly as Rio started to levitate off of the table. As her body rose into the air her legs stretched out into a standing position. It appeared at first that Rio was simply standing up, but her body continued to rise until her toes dangled nearly a foot above the coffee table. Rio's body floated back over to the armchair she had been sitting in before. The lights slowed in their pace circling her as she slowly was lowered back into the chair. With a small flash of light each crimson ball disappeared as the unnatural wind faded away. Riona blinked and focused her eyes on the four people across from her. "Does that answer your question on whether or not these powers exist?" Riona asked with a small smile. "Fuck me." Vanessa breathed. She gave Remi a threatening look after he elbowed her in the side. "Scuse me, Remi, but after seeing someone float around the room with little balls of light spinning around them, I think fuck me is a good response." "She does have a point, bro." RJ laughed at his brother's scowl. "So what exactly does the Gatekeeper mean?" Alec asked before an argument could erupt between his two hot-tempered siblings. "It means that I will be the one to open the doorway when the time is right." Riona tried to explain as best as she should. "The archives we have are very old, and some of our records that have survived are practically unreadable. When it's time for you to receive your birthright there needed to be someone there to keep any evil at bay because all of you will be very vulnerable." Rio watched the different range of emotions that appeared on all of their faces. "I will also guard that gateway that will open to ensure that nothing evil crosses over to the other side." "Talk about responsibility." Alec commented. "How can you be so calm about all of this?" "Because the talent of being a Gatekeeper is one that has been passed down through my family since the beginning." Riona smiled. "I have been training my entire life for this moment." "Glad one of us has been." RJ grumbled. "So all that will stand between us and any trouble will be you?" "No." Riona laughed. "Not even I am that powerful. We will have assistance, but I think that's something we can get into later. You must be tired from your trip. I'll explain more after dinner." "I don't know about the rest of you, but I could definitely use a nap." Remi's comment was accented by a fairly large yawn. "So what should we do about sleeping arrangements?" Vanessa asked. "Obviously I'll get my own room, being the only girl and all." "Alec can be kinda girly when he wants to be." RJ snickered. "With all the time he spends in front of the mirror sometimes I think he just may be a girl." "I'm not the one that wears the designer underwear, bro." Alec shot back. "I think the two of them can share a room." Remi sighed. "This way their arguing can be contained better." "Hey!" Alec and RJ shouted indignantly. "Riona, I do have a question for you." Alec glanced at Vanessa for a moment. "Since this is Headquarters, you'd have files on all the operatives, and their whereabouts?" "Yes." Riona kept her face as smooth as glass. The moment she suddenly found herself in felt very familiar, and she realized she had already foreseen what was about to happen. "Is there anyway that I could get some information on someone?" Alec rushed through his question. As soon as he found out where they were going Alec knew he had an opportunity to find out where Joshua was. There were so many questions he needed answers to. "Who?" Rio asked as she pulled out her cell phone. "Joshua Finnegan, codename Backdraft." Alec breathed out. Rio nodded and punched a series of numbers into her cell phone. She flipped on the speaker function. "Please request your function." A warm automated voice came out of the phone's tiny speaker. "Status." Riona replied. "Function confirmed. Please stated the agent's name." The computer requested. "Joshua Finnegan, codename Backdraft." Riona spoke into her phone. "Status information being reviewed." There were a series of beeps before the voice continued. "Backdraft is not an active agent." "How is that possible?" Alec demanded. "Please enter your security clearance code." The computer responded to Alec's question. Rio frowned and punched in another set of numbers. Again there was a pause as a series of beeps from the phone. "Please restate your request." "Explain the reason of Backdraft's inactive status." Riona spoke into the phone. Whatever reasoning they had expected to receive in no way prepared them for the answer that they got. "Backdraft was killed in the line of duty six months ago while on assignment in Southern Africa." Chapter Seven Alec sat in silence, not sure whether to scream in frustration or bang his head against the wall. He didn't believe the computer's report. His time with Joshua may have been short but he knew that somehow deep down he'd know if something had happened. Alec felt a gentle pressure on his shoulders and he realized that Vanessa and Reyhen had put their hands on him in comfort. "No." Alec's hands trembled as he forced the words from his mouth. "That's not true." "I'm sorry, Alec." Rio hung up her phone. "This has to be very hard on you." "He's NOT dead!" Alec tried to keep himself calm. "There's no way he could have been killed on assignment. They're lying." "Alec, maybe she's right." Vanessa hated to admit Backdraft's death because she knew it was killing her brother, but she couldn't allow him to keep his hopes up. "NO!" Alec screamed as he jerked up from his seat. Riona felt a wave of energy pulse through the room. The force of it nearly knocked the breath from her chest. She saw that everyone else in the room had a similar reaction, and Riona knew that she had to calm Alec down before anything happened. Riona suddenly knew that she had been lied to because there was only one way that Alec could tap into his powers. Before she had the chance to do anything the fireplace roared to life in an explosion of fire. "You have to calm down." Riona slowly moved over to stand behind Alec. She noticed the glazed look in his eyes as he stared into the flames. "You need to release the fire." "What?" Alec blinked and turned to look at her. He noticed that his siblings and Remi have moved to the other side of the room when the fire erupted. "I did this?" He glanced back at the fire burning strongly in the fireplace. "I don't know what to do." "Damn it, this shouldn't be happening." Riona muttered to herself. She wished Braeden were there because he would have been able to assist Alec in ways that she couldn't. "You need to reach out the to fire with your mind. Feel the heat of the flames inside of you." "Ok." Alec closed his eyes and attempted to do as Riona asked, but it was turning out to be more difficult than he thought. "Why can't we just put the fire out?" Remi asked. "Because Alec called it." She explained. "It will continue to burn until he tells it not to. It responded to his emotions, and until he controls them, the fire will burn." Sweat beaded on Alec's forehead as he concentrated. He wasn't able to feel anything at first, but then his mind was suddenly engulfed in a tender warmth. A gasp shuddered through him. "It feels..." Alec's breath left his lungs. "Alive." "Welcome, young master." A soothing voice slipped through Alec's mind. They watched as a smile appeared on Alec's face. After a few moments the flames began to grow smaller and smaller. As the last flame finally disappeared the fireplace looked as it had before, like nothing had happened. Trinity: Origins Ch. 09 "Someone better tell me what the fuck is going on." Vanessa's body tensed in anger. "There isn't time for explanations." Rio shook his head. "I wish there was..." "You'll be wishing alright, for a pair of new legs if you don't start talking, fast." Vanessa took a step towards the mysterious man in front of them. "The Trinity wasn't the only prophecy that the Elders have guarded." Rio sighed in defeat. They really didn't have time for conversation. "There was a prophecy about the Trinity's Guardians as well." "You never mentioned anything about it to me." Braeden's eyes burned. "That's why it was a secret." Rio rolled his eyes. "Very few people knew about it." He turned to look at all of them in turn. "The prophecy spoke of three men that would be bound to the Trinity, to help protect them and to help them harness their powers. The three of us," He motioned to Brae, Remi, and himself. "Are just as important as the three of you. Without us you could die. Our bond to you will help you focus the magic in your bodies." "So why the disguise?" Alec finally found his voice. "The Elders weren't the only group to know about the prophecy." Rio ran a hand over his face to hide his frustration. "To help ensure that the Guardian prophecy came to pass it was decided that a spell would conceal my identity until this moment. I'm sorry for the deception, but there wasn't any other way." "I'm tired of you holding all the..." Vanessa's words stopped as her body tensed in pain. "What's happening?" "It's begun. No more time for chit chat." Rio moved to stand behind Reyhen. He noticed the man's stiff posture. "Don't be afraid." He gently placed his hands on Reyhen's shoulders, nodding to Brae and Remi to follow his lead. As Brae's strong fingers curled onto Alec's shoulder he felt something shift deep within him. Almost like a snake uncoiling after a long slumber. He could feel his body temperature starting to rise. "Are you okay?" Braeden asked. Alec's body was generating enough warmth that he could feel it through the blonde's robes. Alec simply nodded, not trusting his voice to work. An eerie calm and silence surrounded the hilltop. The air felt thick with...something. Rio took a deep breath, the knowledge of what he had to do sprung to the front of his mind. "Under a darkened sky on this special eve we call upon the higher powers with the words we weave. The time has come for the balance of power to be unlocked in this late hour." Rio felt the ground shift as his words were carried on the soft breeze around them. Alec had begun to sway, and only Braeden's strong grip seemed to keep the man upright. The heat under Brae's fingers got so intense he was sure his skin would burn. As the breeze around them surged the roar of a small fire could be heard. The ground at Alec's feet burst into flame and fire rushed out from him. Alec's eyes followed the fire's course, but in his mind he already knew what was happening. The other's watched in shock as fire raced towards Vanessa and Reyhen. In a matter of seconds the ground in front of them burned in the shape of Vanessa's pendant, a perfect Trinity. "Whoa." Vanessa leaned back against Remi without even a thought. She felt a sense of strength through his touch, even if she didn't want to admit to herself. "Alec!" Braeden called out as he felt the man being pulled from him. He wasn't able to move as he watched Alec being pulled into one of the loops of fire. A column of fire appeared before settling into the shape of Apollo. "The flames of war and destruction can be deadly, but the heat of passion can burn even brighter. I give thee my gift, young one." Apollo's deep voice rumbled in the night air. A stream of fire shot out of Apollo and engulfed Alec's body. Alec's body was lifted from the ground as the fire encased his body. Vanessa's eyes widened as she felt her own body being pulled forward. A column of water rose from the ground before it too settled into a more human form, one of a woman. "The waters of a flood can be devastating, but a summer's storm can bring nourishment to parched land. I give thee my gift, young one." Columns of water flowed from the woman's outstretched hands and encased Vanessa. Her hair and limbs floated around her as if she were under waters as she rose from the ground. Reyhen felt something shift inside of him as he watched what happened to his siblings. With a determination he didn't know he had Reyhen stepped through the fire into his loop of the Trinity. The wind swirled into a small funnel in front of him until shifting into the shape of a man. "The winds of the tornado can savage the land, but the soft spring breeze can ease the heat of the day. I give my gift to thee, young one." The wind gusted around Reyhen blowing his robe around his body. His body floated into the air. Braeden, Remi and Rio watched as the three siblings moved towards each other into the center of the Trinity. Columns of wind, water, and fire surged around them. The elements surged around them until they couldn't be seen. The three elemental figures turned to look at the men as they spoke as one. "The fate of the world may one day rest upon their shoulders. They will need your strength, guidance, and love." The figures outstretched their hands towards them. "You are bound." With their words a stream of fire, water, and air broke away from the surge of power around the siblings. The strands of power sought out the correct man as Braeden was engulfed in fire, Remi in water, and Rio in air. "It is done." The figures spoke. A bright light had begun to form in the middle of the siblings. It grew in power until it exploded out around them. Their bonded men had to cover their eyes from the intensity of light. Braeden quickly blinked his eyes to clear his vision. He took a deep breath once he could see again. The fire had gone out, leaving the grass in the burned shape of the Trinity. He rushed forward at the same time Rio and Remi did. Alec, Vanessa, and Reyhen were laying unconscious on the ground, perfectly positioned in each loop of the Trinity. *** Alec felt himself being pulled from a deep slumber. His body was relaxed in a comforting warmth. He blinked his eyes open and realized the Reyhen and Vanessa were spooned up against him. After a moment of searching he realized they were in his bed, but not in the house they were staying at. They were in his room back at the Manor. The fear that had threatened to overtake his body settled when he felt Reyhen shift against him. A thousand different thoughts ran through his head. Alec had no clue what was going on. 'What the fuck has happened?' He thought to himself. "That's what I want to know." Vanessa yawned and stretched from behind him. "Huh?" Alec muttered. "You wanted to know what was happening, and I agreed with you, Tiger." Vanessa sat up and her eyes widened when she realized they were in her brother's room. "How the hell did we get here?" "Quiet." Alec shushed her. "Someone is still asleep." Alec glanced down at his brother, who was cuddled up against him. In his mind he could sense that Reyhen was peacefully dreaming. A breath caught in his chest as he realized he could feel two other people in his head. "You need to calm down or you're going to give yourself a heart attack." Vanessa patted his shoulder. Her hand froze after a moment. "Why can I feel you in my head?" 'A better question is why you can hear what I'm thinking.' Alec glanced back at her. "That's another good quest..." Vanessa's eyes widened as she realized Alec's lips didn't move. "I...I don't know if I should be freaked out or not." "Something interesting must be going on if Vanessa is freaking out." Reyhen mumbled. One of his eyes opened. "Could you both chill out? I'm trying to sleep here." He sat up abruptly as he felt the feeling of amusement course through his body. Reyhen glanced at his brother and sister. "What's going on?" He looked around the room. "How..." "That's what we are trying to figure out, Peanut." Vanessa smirked. "Thanks for catching up with the rest of us." "Fuck you." Reyhen shot a glare at her. The air around him shifted and a second later Vanessa was pushed off of the bed. With a yelp she landed on the floor with a loud thud. "I don't know how I did that." Reyhen started to defend himself. He moved back behind Alec's body for protection. Alec's shoulders shook with silent laughter. Seconds later his boisterous laughter echoed through the bedroom. He clutched his belly as he laughed even harder when Vanessa's sleep tousled head appeared on the side of the bed. "Something funny, oh brother of mine?" Vanessa shook her head. Alec's laughter ended abruptly when nearly a bucketful of ice cold water sloshed over him. Reyhen had seen the look in his sister's eyes and had made the smart decision to get off the bed. "You'll pay for that." Alec's anger flared. His eyes locked onto Vanessa's as they glared at each other. Their face off was broken by the sound of their brother's voice. "Do you guys smell that?" They turned to look at him as he sniffed the air. "Yeah." Alec breathed in through his nose. "Smells like something's burning. "Bro, your bed's on fire." Reyhen pointed to the smoke rising from the bottom of his bed. "Fuck!" Alec jumped out of his bed and pointed at Vanessa. "Put it out!" "I don't know how!" She shrugged her shoulders. "You can't put out a small fire, but you can dump water on me?" Alec growled as he gestured to his soaked pajamas. "Hey! How did we get into these?" Reyhen tugged at his flannel bottoms. The fire alarm started going off as the smoke from the bed thickened. "We have a bigger concern at the moment!" Alec snapped. "Like stopping the house from burning down since the Little Mermaid here can't even get some moisture going." "Don't blame me for this!" Vanessa pointed at him. "You're the firebug!" A jet of water shot from her hand and doused the bed. A hissing noise filled the sudden silence in the room. As the whitening smoke rose up from the bed the door to the bedroom slammed opened. "Is that the fire alarm?" Braeden rushed in first and was followed quickly by Remi and Rio. "I told you that we shouldn't leave them alone." Remi shook his head. "Why don't we take Vanessa and Reyhen and go start breakfast." Rio surveyed the dark looks that were being passed around the room. "I'll think I'll go grab a shower first." Vanessa stormed past them. "I smell like smoke." "I vote for breakfast." Reyhen moved out the door before Alec had a chance to explode again. "You okay?" Remi asked Alec as he paused in the doorway to follow the younger man. Alec nodded without looking at any of them. He was trying to rein his temper back in. What had just happened scared the hell out of him. He kept his gaze focused on the wall until he heard the click of his bedroom door being shut again. He turned around and came almost nose to nose with Braeden. "What are you doing?" Alec took a step back. "I figured I could help you clean this mess up." Braeden motioned to the disaster his room had become. "I don't..." Alec's words died on his lips as he felt something pulse in his mind. A sudden realization hit him. Braeden was the third presence in his head. He focused his thoughts around the presence. Alec felt a sense of hurt and rejection. "How am I supposed to feel about this situation with everything that's happened between us?" Braeden's eyebrows rose slightly in shock. He hadn't expected Alec to read their bond so quickly or easily. He and Remi had stayed up half the night with Rio trying to learn the basics of sensing the bond. It seemed some things would just come naturally to the three siblings, but a glance at the room showed that other things would take practice. "Why don't we work on cleaning up your room first, and then we can talk?" He couldn't stop the hopeful tone in his voice. "What do I do?" Alec sighed. "Just focus on what you want to happen. Center all of your thoughts on it." The words slipped from Braeden's mouth without any conscious thought. He watched as Alec closed his eyes and look of intense concentration appeared on his face. "I can feel something shifting inside of me, but nothing's happening." Alec concentrated harder, but frustration started to quickly take over. Braeden stepped forward quietly and gently placed his hand on Alec's shoulder. Alec gasped as something inside of him snapped into place and a rush of energy welled through him. "Open your eyes." Braeden stepped back breaking the contact. As Alec opened his eyes he felt a sense of loss when Braeden let go of him. In that single moment everything felt right inside of him, but there was an emptiness there suddenly that he hadn't know was there before. He gasped as he looked around the room. It was if that morning had never happened. Alec turned and gave Braeden a dazzling smile. "I did it." Alec's smile faltered as he sensed a quick feeling of sadness rush through Braeden. "What's wrong?" "This is going to take some getting used to." Braeden shook his head and looked away. "I...I never thought you'd smile at me like that again. In fact, I didn't think I'd ever get to see you again." "I thought you were dead." Alec's throat started to feel raw. It was still difficult to believe that Joshua, no Braeden, was standing in front of him. A moment he had dreamed about for a long time. "I missed you." Braeden turned at the sound of pain in Alec's voice. He cautiously stepped towards the blonde god and reached out his hand. Braeden's fingertips barely grazed Alec's cheek. "I missed you too." The feeling of oneness returned to Alec with a force. Unable to stop himself he leaned into the touch, press his cheek against the palm of Braeden's hand. "Is what we're feeling even real? Or is it some trick of the bond?" Alec couldn't stop the question from forming. "You tell me." Braeden closed the distance between them and leaned into Alec. His lips ghosted over Alec's seeking permission. After a moment of hesitation Alec moved closer and pressed his lips to Braeden's. A feeling of joy surged through both men as their mouths opened and their tongues met for the first time in a long while. Their arms wrapped around each other as the kiss deepened. Minutes or hours could have passed as they started to re-explore each other. A tremor passed through Alec's body as he finally stepped away, breaking the kiss. "So?" Braeden gasped for breath as he asked his question. "Real or trick?" "I think I need to look into the situation a bit more first before making a decision." Alec kept his eyes focused on Braeden's as he started to remove his pajamas. "Alec, maybe we should wait..." He gulped as he watched the naked gorgeous man in front of him stretch out across the bed. "I think we've waited long enough." Alec propped himself up on his elbows and looked at the startled hunk. "I know what you're feeling, Brae. The bond makes that clear enough." Alec glanced down as his hardening member throbbed against his stomach. "I can get dressed again, if that's what you want." Without a second thought Brae started to remove his own clothing. He felt something building inside of him, and he couldn't contain himself, not anymore. Brae stumbled for a moment pulling a sock off and Alec's warm chuckle sent chills up his spine. He tossed the offending piece of clothing over his shoulder as he climbed up onto the bed. Braeden felt his body throb as Alec's legs spread open to allow him room. He gently moved over his lover, their bodies rubbing against each other. His heart pounded in his chest as he finally felt his hard cock press up against Alec's throbbing member. A groan rumbled in his throat as Alec reached up and pulled him down, their lips meeting in another fevered kiss. His body quaked with pleasure as Alec's strong hands kneaded the tense muscles in his back. Braeden arched into the touch as the hands reached his muscular ass and began to squeeze the tight globes of flesh. Braeden broke the kiss and began to suck and lick at Alec's exposed neck. A steady heat pulsed throughout their bodies. The bond between them nearly crackled with energy. Alec's legs wrapped around Braeden's waist as he arched up against this lover. Their thick cocks leaked a steady flow of fluid as they rubbed against each other. Alec's nimble fingers ran through Braeden's hair as he leaned down and captured one of Alec's nipples into his mouth. Electricity nearly sparked between them as Alec gasped and pulled Braeden's head firmly against his chest. "Oh, God." Alec gasped as his body shuddered. Braeden took his time worshipping the firm, muscular chest in front of him. He took time teasing both of his lover's nipples before he began a slow assault down the front of the hard body. Alec's legs released their hold on Braeden's waist as his body shifted lower. "Fuck." Alec's body twitched as he felt the tip of Braeden's wet tongue flick across the head of his dick. His legs spread as wide as possible to give Braeden complete access to his eager body. He forced himself to remain still as his lover's warm mouth encased the dripping head of his cock. Alec wanted to thrust fully into the hot, wet mouth, but somehow called upon the strength not to. Braeden sucked the entire length of Alec's thick shaft into his mouth with an agonizing slowness. By the time Alec felt his balls press against Braeden's chin he thought he was going to explode. Braeden sensed how close his lover was and instantly backed off. He grinned as Alec groaned in frustration. "I'm not letting you get off that easily." Braeden ran his hands over Alec's tanned, muscular legs. Before Alec could respond Braeden started to suck and chew on his heavy balls. His fingers threaded through Braeden's hair again as he pressed up against Braeden's hungry mouth. His head thrashed from side to side as pleasure surged through him. He felt Braeden's tongue flick behind his balls, and without being asked Alec pulled his legs up to his chest. Braeden took the invitation and moved his mouth between Alec's muscular cheeks. Alec's cock nearly exploded when Braeden's tongue made contact with his tight hole. Braeden's hands massaged the back of Alec's thighs as he pressed his tongue into the warm, inviting hole. 'I want to taste you.' Alec's voice traveled through Braeden's head and caused his body to flush with heat. Braeden stopped for a moment and carefully positioned his body above his lover's. He leaned back down to continue playing with the tight hole that winked up at him when he gasped in pleasure. Alec had swallowed his entire shaft in one quick move. It didn't take long for Braeden to regain his senses and continue teasing and playing with the entrance of Alec's body. Alec groaned as he slide his hungry mouth up and down the length of Braeden's hard cock. His throat muscles vibrated around Brae's shaft as he tasted the sweet fluid of his lover's body. After a few minutes he released the thick cock and moved back to suck and play with the smooth balls that hung down over him. Alec could feel Braeden's passion pulse in his mind and it fueled his own desires. It was almost as if their emotions were feeding off of each other. Alec's fingers had spread Braeden's hot ass open and was starting to move his hungry tongue back that way when he felt Braeden slip a finger into his body. Alec's body immediately tensed and Braeden assumed it was in pain. He had started to withdraw his finger when Alec pressed his hips up causing it to slide even further inside. With an almost animalistic growl Alec pushed his tongue into Braeden's body. Their bodies were covered with a sheen of sweat as the sounds of their lovemaking filled the room. Trinity: Origins Ch. 09 Braeden was gently sliding two fingers in and out of his lover when Alec reached down and pulled his hand back. "What's wrong?" Braeden turned to look back at Alec. "Come here." Alec's voice was husky with need, his eyes burning from within. Braeden once again covered Alec with his body as they kissed. Their bodies moving fluidly against each other. Alec pulled his legs up around Braeden's waist and tilted his hips. The action caused Brae's throbbing shaft to rub against Alec's hole. 'I need you.' Braeden pulled back slightly to look down at his lover as the thought passed through his mind. He saw something in Alec's eyes and sensed it in their bond, but he was afraid to voice the emotion himself. "Have you ever..." The question died on Brae's lips. He couldn't blame Alec if he wasn't the first man to enter him. His giving lover had thought he was dead. "No." Alec finally spoke. 'I was waiting for you.' Without breaking the gaze they shared Alec reached between them and positioned the head of Braeden's cock against the opening of his body. After making sure the angle was right Alec ran his hand slowly up Braeden's body. "Please." Alec whispered. "Love me." With those words a dam seemed to have burst in Alec's mind. Feelings of happiness flooded through Braeden's mind, but above any of the emotions there was one that was strongest. Love. Braeden almost couldn't believe that the amazing man beneath him could love him with the intensity that he felt. In any of his wildest dreams he never allowed himself to dream of the moment he found himself in. Alec pressed up against Braeden and the first couple inches of Braeden's thick cock slipped inside of him. Braeden steadied their bodies as he felt the brief pain that flashed through the bond. "Easy, love." Braeden gently kissed Alec. "I'm not going anywhere. Nothing can separate us again." Braeden tenderly took his time as he continued to enter his lover's tight, pulsing body. He used the bond to sense for any pain. Braeden wanted each moment to be as pleasurable as possible for Alec. After what felt like hours Alec finally felt Braeden's balls push up against his ass. He released a breath he hadn't even been aware of holding. He leaned up and shared a passionate kiss with the amazing man was on top of him, inside of him. Every inch of Alec's body quaked with pleasure as he felt Braeden throb deep inside of him. He looked up into Braeden's eyes and something snapped into place between the two of them. It felt as if they had become one person as their souls touched. They leaned in for another kiss. 'I love you.' The single thought echoed through their heads in unison. As their lips met Braeden gently pulled back until just the head of his cock remained inside of his lover before sheathing himself fully inside Alec's inviting body again. With a natural rhythm the two bodies moved against each other. The only sounds that filled the room were there muffled gasps and groans. Their bond fueled their desires and pushed both men past the point of no return. With an almost strangle cry Braeden pushed as deeply into Alec as humanly possible as his cock exploded with pleasure. Alec could feel his lover's release and without even touching himself his cock exploded between them, covering both of their chests and even some of his neck in cum. Their foreheads touched as they both gasped for breath, their bodies trembling from the intense release. Braeden gently removed himself as Alec lowered his legs. He was pulled down on top of his blonde love as they nuzzled against each other. "What did I do to deserve you?" Braeden asked as he reached out and stroked the side of Alec's face. "I was asking myself the same thing." Alec pulled Braeden tight against his body. The lovers were so focused on each other they didn't even notice as a blanket, that been pushed nearly off the bed during their lovemaking, slid up over their naked, exhausted bodies. They held each other close without saying a word since the bond between them made speaking unnecessary. Alec and Braeden drifted off to sleep in each other's arms as feelings of love and contentment passed between them.
