The sun was behind them as the exit sign for Havana came into view. Kyle looked over at Josh and noticed that his fidgeting in the passenger seat had increased substantially the last few minutes. He grinned as he asked, "You need to pee or are you just all nervous for some reason?" "Both actually," was the reply that came with a slight smirk but also with uncertainty showing in Josh's eyes. "Well you are the one that just had to have a thirty-two ounce Slushie when we gassed up at Circle K," Kyle teased back as he reached over and tickled Josh's ribs. "Just don't think about running water or the words: Drip. Drip. Drip. Dribble." "Stop it Kyle! I'm having enough trouble trying to hold it as it is!" Even though he smacked his husband's hand away, Josh was laughing. "I'll be okay until we get to the farm." Kyle reached for Josh's hand and took it in his. "I think the bigger question is whether you are going to be okay after we get there. You have been squirming like a hooker in the front pew at church for the last fifty miles." "Well dammit, Kyle. This is the first time back home since Mom was so ugly to you back in May." "Uh huh. That was also six long months ago. And who was it that specifically invited us...both of us...to come for Thanksgiving dinner?" "Mom," was the one word conceding answer. Kyle squeezed Josh's hand as he went on. "Think about all the phone conversations you have had with her since we got married. Think of the ones she has had with me." He paused and choked up a little as he added, "Think of the words on the card with the flowers they sent to the funeral home. She has accepted things. Everything is going to be fine, Pooh." Josh cautiously smiled back. "I know, Tigger. It's just..." "It's just that you are a worry wart," Kyle cut him off with. "You need to walk into that house the same way I intend to...happy to be there and knowing that she already said she loves us both many times over. Let the past stay in the past, baby." Josh leaned across to plant a kiss on Kyle's cheek at the same time the Hummer lumbered onto the exit ramp. "You're my rock. You know that don't you?" As the big truck rapidly decelerated, Kyle managed a peck of Josh's lips. "Yeah, but if you don't get your hand off my thigh, I'm going to be walking in the house showing off 'a rock' of a different kind, sweetie. And I sure don't want to be hugging your mom with a hard-on." Josh laughed and then looked at the prominent bulge showing in Kyle's jeans. An evil expression appeared on his face as he grabbed the lump. "If you drive slow and careful, maybe I could take care of that problem before we get there." Before Kyle had the Hummer to the stop sign at the end of the exit ramp, his zipper had been yanked down and Josh's hand was fumbling inside them for the fly opening in his boxer briefs. "Josh! Is this a good idea this close to the farm?" The words had barely escaped from his lips before his now fully engorged cock was pulled out. "Just drive like a little old lady, babe. I've never done you like this and I'm sure not stopping now." Josh finalized his intentions by freeing his own boner and started taking slow strokes on it as he lowered his head to Kyle's lap. Kyle sat at the stop sign for a moment as Josh worked his tool with his lips and tongue. "You are so crazy, but I love you for it," was the statement as he finally flipped the turn signal and pulled out onto the, thankfully empty, state road. Meandering along at about thirty miles per hour, he added, "I'm just glad this beast has power steering," as his left hand gripped the wheel and his right one took charge of stroking Josh. "Mmmm," and happy hip thrusts came from Josh. His mouth began working faster as did Kyle's hand. Kyle could feel the intense pulsing of Josh's manhood in his palm. His own tool was just as excited from the moist mouthing it was getting. After a deep moan, he wrapped his hand even tighter and tugged even faster. "I don't remember driver's ed class ever being like this, baby," he mumbled. Josh let loose with a stifled snicker, refusing to let Kyle's rod free. The full swallows he began taking were getting the desired effect if the constantly intensifying fondling of his own cock were any kind of measure. When the tingling began in his toes, he popped off Kyle's bone just long enough to spit out, "Gonna cum," before plunging his face back down on it. Kyle knew how close he was also and jerked the steering wheel to the right while standing on the brakes. Once on the road berm, he used his now free left hand to push on Josh's head and his right turned to a blur as he sought to bring them both to a mutual explosion. Josh humped his hips into Kyle's hand one last time and felt the splashes of hot man juice against his tonsils at the same time his own splattered the dashboard, floor, and drenched the fingers that kept working him. Once he had finished cleaning up Kyle's mess with his tongue, he rolled to his back and grinned. "All better now, aren't ya?" he suggested. Kyle grinned back. "Will be in a minute." With that, he first sucked his own fingers clean and then leaned over and used his tongue to dab away the dribbles of white from Josh's mushroom and shaft. Sitting back up, he pulled Josh up to his face. "I love you, Pooh," was all he said before pasting their lips together and sharing the result of their coupling that was still on their tongues. When they broke the embrace and began stuffing everything back away in their pants, Kyle jokingly ordered, "Since you started that, you get to take care of the mess on the dash and floor. There are napkins and a rag and a bottle of 'Armor All' in the glove compartment." Josh laughed and gave Kyle an exaggerated salute along with, "Yes, sir! Swab the decks, sir! Right away, sir!" When he quickly finished, he inquired, "Mop up duty done. Anything else, sir?" "Umm...yeah. Get me a Reese Cup from the stash and you should probably eat one too, baby." Josh shot Kyle a 'Huh? What for?' look as he dug in the munchies bag they had brought along on the trip. "You want to get all horny again right away?" he finally asked as they unwrapped the candy. "No, but I think chocolate and peanut butter on our breath, instead of fresh cum, when we kiss your mom might be best." A quick wink came along with, "Know what I mean, Vern?" Josh pinched his lips together to hold back a snort and nodded rapidly in understanding agreement. "Yeah, Mom may be getting cool with the idea of us being together, but no reason to give her any visuals to think about." Ten minutes later, the boys were happy they had eaten two Reese Cups each since Mom Thomas had them both pressed tightly to her face and enveloped in a joint hug that seemed as if it would never end. * * * * * Any apprehensions either had about this visit were long gone as the boys climbed the stairs later that night. Josh's mom had been slightly tentative at first with Kyle, but by the time the two of them were busy together in the kitchen making pies for the next day's meal, they had completely bonded. Kyle smiled as he remembered how the two of them were sitting at the table sharing coffee while the homemade pies baked when Mrs. Thomas had confessed, "I accept you and Josh, Kyle. It's just..." Kyle let loose of his coffee cup and reached out for her hand. Taking it in his, he softly finished the sentence for her. "...that you don't understand it all, right?" She nodded her head with a hint of embarrassment on her face. "I don't, Kyle. I've tried so hard but I just don't." He gently squeezed her hand and said, "We don't either. It's just the way we are. It's how we came from the factory. Understanding the 'why' or 'how' is far less important than accepting fate brought him and I together." He paused long enough for another swallow of coffee and then went on. "He and I both believe in our hearts that God put us together. And if you have any question of how real it is, perhaps saying it this way will help you understand. I love him almost as much as you do." The twinkle that appeared in her eyes along with the smiling nod of her head said his words had hit home and helped clear her confusion. Josh's words suddenly derailed Kyle's further memory of the special moment as he opened the door to the bedroom. "I still don't believe she gave us the guest bedroom." Kyle held back a snort as he jokingly said, "What you don't believe is how it got said: 'Take the guest room. The one with a queen sized bed. That way you won't be all cramped up together in a single bed this time.' She knew we would be if we slept in your old room." Josh rolled his eyes and added, "Yeah and then Dad cracking off with: 'Maybe they like being all cramped up together' was too much. Talk about embarrassing." Kyle encircled Josh's waist with his arm, pulling him tight to his side. "Aw...my little sex maniac can actually get embarrassed, can he?" "It was my parents, Kyle. Both of them! Sheesh! I felt like we were both suddenly naked when they said that stuff." "You are looking at it all wrong, baby. When they start saying things that even come close to admitting they know you are having sex, then they have hit the complete acceptance stage. You are no longer 'their baby' and I am not 'just your roommate' any longer." Kyle grinned and busied his hand undoing Josh's belt buckle. "And speaking of being naked..." "Babe, they are just down the hall you know." The words from Josh were nearly meaningless since he had started stripping his husband also. As Kyle pushed down Josh's pants, he purred in his ear. "So make love to me quietly, baby." Between those words, the grin on his face, and the way Josh's erection was suddenly being caressed, any question of who would be on top tonight was already decided. * * * * * By the time the boys had gotten downstairs for breakfast, the house was already abuzz. Grandma Thomas and Josh's Mom were already busy putting together everything they needed to whip up what appeared to be an unending collection of side dish additions for the planned early afternoon feast. Every inch of counter space was in use with boxes and cans, spice bottles and other ingredients, and enough various utensils and serving dishes to start a restaurant. The smells of turkey and ham both cooking were blending and wafting through the entire first floor of the old farm house. Before Josh had nudged Kyle all the way to the coffee pot, his brother Luke and his fiance came through the back door with full arms. "We are in for the ultimate treat, guys," he declared as he sat down a grocery bag full of items. "Susie finally got her grandmother to give her the full recipe for her famous German custard pie...even the secret ingredient she has never told to anyone else." The instant round of 'Oohs' and 'Ahhs' from everyone left a look of confusion on Kyle's face. Josh quietly explained it to Kyle with, "Her grandmother's custard pie is the most delicious thing you will ever put in your mouth...well food wise anyway. It has won the county fair contest so many years, they almost had to ban her from entering so someone else could even have a chance at the blue ribbon. She bakes a half dozen of them for every church pot luck and you can't find a single crumb in those dishes afterward. The manager of the local Publix bakery department even offered to buy the recipe from her." "So what makes it so special?" was Kyle's inserted question. "That's why everyone is so impressed she gave Susie the full recipe. Supposedly it has been handed down through their family for more than a hundred and forty years and came through Ellis Island with Susie's great-great-great-great grandmother. The family tradition is that the entire recipe with the secret ingredient must skip a generation each time and can only be passed on from a grandmother to a trusted grandchild. If the legend is true, Susie just became only the third person in more than a century to know what that mysterious and so important addition to the mix actually is." "Wow! That is so cool, Josh. Kind of like my grandmother's lasagna recipe from the old country. But without the super secrecy involved since she hands it out to just about anyone in the family that asks. Although she never lets anyone outside the family find out the reason her lasagna is so good is because she mixes an entire can of grated Parmesan in with the Ricotta and lets the ground beef marinate for an entire day in red wine." Josh snickered and then offered, "Grams thinks that's the big deal behind the custard pie: a healthy sized cup of high-test rum in each pie!" "Hey! You two big city late-risers plan on just taking up valuable floor space or can we get some extra hands when you are done sucking down the free coffee?" The exaggerated look on Grandma Thomas' face was hilarious as she further issued her sarcastic chastisement. "Just because you conned my precious little Pooh into marrying you doesn't mean you get cut any slack in the kitchen on turkey day. You're a spouse in this family now and the rule is: One or both of you help, or neither of you eat!" Kyle nearly choked attempting to hold back the belly laugh her words spawned. Josh elbowed him in the side and whispered, "Congrats. That says Grams just blessed our marriage. Us farm people aint too formal when it's just family, ya know." That extra tidbit did nothing to help hold back the laugh working it's way across Kyle's tongue. He snorted as politely as he could while shaking his head. He then stepped forward, gave Grams a sincere hug, and said, "I think I'm really gonna like you, 'cause I already love you, Grams." He punctuated the comment with a peck on her cheek and one of his patented wide smiles. He got an even bigger one back in return. Turning to Josh, he suggested, "Why don't you and Luke join your Dad and Grandfather out on the deck and I'll get broken in here on how to properly do the son duties?" "You sure? I'll stay and help too if you want." "No, it's fine, baby. You go play catch up with all the guys and I'll see if I can hold my own while bonding with these wonderful ladies. And you know I enjoy playing in the kitchen anyway. This will be like southern cooking grad school for me." The clandestine and knowing wink he used at the end told Josh, 'Trust me.' Josh looked around the spacious kitchen and warned, "Just be gentle with him. I've kinda gotten used to having him around and don't want him too scared to ever come back here again." Grams took charge again and simply ordered, "Both of you. Git! Susie and Kyle are your contributions to the labor pool. We've got work to do and sure don't need both of you walking stomachs nibbling at everything while we get it ready." Laughter from everyone followed as Luke and Josh shrugged their shoulders and headed out the back door. Grandpa Thomas and his son were deep in a farming conversation, so Josh and Luke gravitated to the far side of the large deck for their own discussion while waiting for Mark and his wife and toddler to arrive. After some generic catch up talk and telling Josh about the preliminary wedding plans he and Susie had made, Luke blurted out, "I really can't believe my little brother got married before I did. You aren't pregnant or anything are you, Josh?" "No, but we sure keep trying." The answer came with twinkling eyes and an evil grin. The pause was only momentary before Luke asked, "Does that mean...err, I mean, are you? Well, umm...what do they call it? Err, umm...pitcher and catcher? Umm...I'm trying to figure out which way you go. Damn! I guess what I mean, is: 'Are you the wife?" Suddenly turning fifty shades of red, he hastily added, "Shit! I probably really shouldn't have asked any of that. I'm sorry, Josh." It was Josh's turn to fight to hold back the guffaw. He had never seen Luke so flabbergasted before and once the words were out of his mouth, there was no recalls or do-overs. The fact his big brother had stumbled so much trying to ask the question...and now was completely embarrassed for finally managing to do so...was far more funny than it being any kind of invasion of privacy. Straight guys are such entertaining creatures when they try to talk about gay sex. It most likely didn't help any either that Luke was the one that taught him about beating off, and had that long-ago scene in the barn playing in his mind as he bumbled, mumbled, and stumbled with his inquiry. 'Don't laugh, Josh! Don't laugh! It is funny as hell, but DO NOT LAUGH!' was being shouted in his ear by his conscience. Josh bit down on his lip as Luke spoke again. "I mean that, Josh. I'm really, really sorry. Just pretend I didn't eat my whole fucking foot there and never asked you that. I feel like such a country bumpkin, but you and Kyle are the only gay guys I've ever met, and there is so much I don't know or understand." Finally gaining control of the desire to burst into full-blown laughter, Josh wrapped his arm around his brother and said, "It's okay, Luke. I know this is all new to you and that you have a lot more questions than that one. Let's just set the boundaries this way so you feel comfortable: I will answer any question you come up with; you just be sure you are prepared to hear the answer before you ask it. And so you know I am serious about that, the answer to question number one is: It depends on who is in the mood to 'pitch or catch' and neither of us is 'the wife' in our relationship." He hesitated and then added, "Just make sure you don't ask things that will require more details than either of us will be comfortable with, okay bro? That and don't ever ask if I will teach Susie how to give head the right way." A smile, chuckle, and fist pop to the shoulder let Luke know things were cool between them and ask whatever he desired. By the time Mark arrived and joined them on the deck a half hour later, Josh had taken Luke through the 'Gay Brother 101' course with no problems. * * * * * Back in the kitchen, Kyle was working the small group of women like a professional stand up comic works the Tonight Show crowd during his national television debut. He turned on every bit of his charm and used his gleaming smile and gold-flecked eyes so well, that at one point he overheard Luke's fiance say to Mark's wife, "Tall. Gorgeous. Hell of a body. Fantastic personality. Intelligent. Loves to help in the kitchen. And going to be a doctor! How did Josh end up the lucky one in the husband lottery instead of one of us?" "Maybe because we didn't have a chance since we don't have the right equipment and Josh does?" was the facetious reply he also heard. He also listened attentively as Grams and Mrs. Thomas gave him instructions in how to prepare Southern food. Even though he was fairly talented in the kitchen, he let that expertise stay mostly hidden and instead gave himself over to the hands of two master potters who threw spicy mashed potatoes and homemade-from-scratch biscuits and stuffing instead of wet clay. By the time the final dishes were cooking, he had managed to enamor himself, without really having to try, to the most important women in his husband's life. Since the hardest work of the day was done, he dutifully filled celebratory glasses of wine for all of them. While taking the first sips of his, he thought to himself, 'I can't wait for my Mom and sisters and grandparents to meet this wonderful family. Josh and I may have been a match made in heaven, but our two families was God's wedding present to us as far as I'm concerned.' * * * * * The conversation during the Thanksgiving meal ranged from discussion about a boll weevil outbreak just north of the Florida border that was worrying the local farmers, to Mark's wife announcing that she was pregnant again...and pretty much everything in between, including all the details about the unusual wedding ceremony Josh and Kyle had at Niagara Falls. The guys surprised everyone by handing out copies of the video that had been done. "It's not the same as actually being there, but at least you can be there in spirit with us as you watch it," Kyle proffered. Pizza Boy Back at the Door Ch. 02 "Well we are watching that before any football games," Grams and Josh's mother said almost simultaneously. "Right after we clear the table, dear," Josh's father readily agreed as if there was any choice in the matter. "And we are going to do a formal wedding here in Florida once it's legal," Josh chimed in with. "Our church does Holy Unions, but we want to wait until we can do a real wedding with another real license. Everything that has been happening everywhere else and with the Supreme Court, says it won't be that long of a wait." The news of another Thomas grandchild on the way sparked another turn in the discussion. Pam Thomas turned to Kyle and Josh and got slightly emotional as she said, "That's the one thing I haven't reconciled myself with yet," she began. "You boys won't have that wonderful experience. Raising children, I mean. Just watching how you both interact with little Eli, says that is something you both deserve and what good fathers you would make. But..." She let the rest of her words slip away to silence as she dabbed at a tear. "We can adopt, Mom," Josh tried to save the day with. "Kyle and I have already talked about that. We both want kids. More than you can imagine." Kyle jumped in to add, "In fact, we can have our own if we decide that is better than adoption. There have been such great strides with in vitro fertilization and surrogacy, that we can possibly have twins even. Twins that share genetic make up through combined sperm and the mother. Real twins with two very real fathers." He let that sink in a little and then concluded with, "I haven't totally researched it yet, and hadn't said anything to Josh so he wouldn't get his hopes up, but from what my professor said in our reproductive systems class, it's already been done successfully and general availability to the procedure is just around the corner." Thanks to that little bombshell of information, before the famous custard pie was served, the women had already started a list of possible names for four new additions to the family: One each for Mark & Michelle and for Luke & Susie, and two for Josh & Kyle. Josh shrugged his shoulders as he told Kyle, "It's another one of those Southern things, babe. The moms and grandmas make the decisions and us guys are just included enough to make sure it happens." Kyle took Josh's hand and softly asked, "Would you want twins, baby?" Josh's face lit up like a sunbeam had hit it. His smile stretched from ear to ear. His bedroom blues glowed like flaming sapphires. "Best graduation present we could get each other, wouldn't it be? That gives us about two years to get all the ducks in the pond and get pregnant." The smile on Kyle's face matched Josh's and the gold flecks in his eyes were suddenly so prominent that the deep brown almost disappeared. "Then we talk later and start laying the groundwork. Residency and two babies at the same time won't be a cakewalk by any means, but working together..." Josh cut him off with, "Working together we can accomplish anything in our marriage...forever." The table full of family went totally silent as Josh and Kyle shared a kiss in front of them for the first time...a kiss that included happy tears from both of them as they realized the idea of their own children was not a dream, but something that would happen in due time. * * * * * It took virtually no time at all for the men to fully stake claim to the family room and the big screen TV after everyone had viewed the helicopter wedding video and there had been sufficient fawning over how unique and romantic the setting and ceremony had been. All of the dishes were already cleared from the dining room table and the uneaten food was positioned on the kitchen counters for picking at later as the games and family fellowshipping slipped on into the evening. It was the same scene that was repeated in millions of other households that day, just another traditional family style Thanksgiving. But for Josh and Kyle, it would be their most memorable because it verified that the schism between Josh and his mother had been completely filled in and the day signified a fresh beginning. Kyle had won over the female side of the Thomas family, but now he had to lock down the male members with the holiday football games. 'Keep it butched-up and pretend it's hockey games you are watching, Roberts,' he told himself as they settled in for the duration. 'Remember, even though you would happily swap free tickets to the Super Bowl in exchange for ones to watch your beloved Buffalo Sabres, in the South they consider football a second religion and you need to be on your knees at the altar for the next four or five hours too,' was his closing instruction to himself. By the end of the marathon day, Kyle had passed the "all male" part of the test also and was as much a member of the family as anyone else there. He and Josh were not only fully accepted as a couple, but as legal spouses also...even if the state of Florida wouldn't agree they were. 'Sometimes the rule of law doesn't mean a whole lot though,' he thought as he and Josh undressed for bed. 'Sometimes love trumps it all and especially when it was bad law to begin with.' As he snaked his arm around Josh and pulled him into a tight embrace and kiss, he emphatically stated, "Our day will come soon baby. I just know in my heart it will." Without bothering to explain what that had meant, he used both of his palms to cup Josh's bubble cheeks and squeezed them hard. "Right now though, your time has come. I want that sweet ass so bad." As the grinding of their hips against one another began, there was no question that both were ready as their erections, held back only by the thin cotton of their underwear, throbbed against each other. Josh simply smiled and flopped down on his back on the bed. "Show me just how much you want it, lover. Take me deep, hard, long, and as quietly as you can." And Kyle climbed in bed and did. And Josh responded to each touch, caress, kiss, grind, thrust, and spank to his magic spot. And when he did, Kyle reacted in similar fashion and made their lovemaking even more intense. When the inner rumblings declared it was finally time, they heard the silent instruction from their mind meld and slipped fingers in each others mouths. They finger fucked each others lips and pressed finger tips against each others tongues to keep the cries of pleasure as muted as possible. The weren't totally successful, but the soft moans they both exhaled as the first eruptions happened and the happy whimpers that lasted through the final joint squirts of their juices said it was one of the most satisfying romps they had had in a long time. Actually one of the most satisfying since that luck-of-the-draw, first pizza delivery more than a year earlier. As they cuddled in an afterglow of epic proportions, their utopia was abruptly invaded by a voice from down the hall. "Yes! Jim! That's! The! Spot! Oh Gawd, YES!" They both began to snicker and snuggled up even tighter knowing their love wasn't the only one in the house that had just gotten celebrated on the day we give thanks for all the good things in our lives. Josh avoided making any comment about his parents, but Kyle couldn't help himself. With a kiss to Josh's cheek and a enveloping hug he murmured, "At least I know you get it honestly now. It's in your genes." "Uh huh. And just make sure you are able to keep up with me when we are their age. Tigger needs to keep that spring in his tail forever." "He will so long as forever is together with his Pooh." No more words were needed as Josh snuggled up tighter, draped an arm over Kyle's strong chest, threaded a leg between his lover's two, and they both gave themselves over to a most peaceful sleep. * * * * * Once back in Pensacola, the days literally flew off the calendar pages. One last week of classes followed immediately by a week of finals, kept the midnight oil burning as far as studying and crossing the last "T" on those papers that were due. Then there would be barely more than another week before Christmas was upon them. With the packed schedule they had set up in order to spend part of the holiday with both families, there was going to be precious little time for them to celebrate at their own home before the travel plans took center stage. "We still have to put up a tree at least, Kyle. Someplace where we can stick a present or two and have a little Christmas for just us like we did last year," was his plea. Kyle eventually concurred with the idea when Josh promised he would go along and help find a tree on his next day off. Free time had suddenly became an intensely valued, rare commodity for both of them. Josh was instantly running double time keeping up with his college commitments and delivery shifts at the pizza shop. He had taken an extra writing class and the end of semester assignments for long papers doubled instantly because of it. The old Honda he used for deliveries kept having various issues that would tie him up at the mechanic for unplanned hours along with taking his hard earned tips to pay the latest repair bill. He had finally just started keeping a couple of text books in the car so he could work in study time while the car was being fixed yet again. And JJ had also evidently slipped back into his habit of tricking every chance he got because when they worked the same shifts, JJ's delivery totals were always far below Josh's...which meant Josh was having to work harder to keep up with orders. Sure he scored the extra tips, but the resulting frustration and anger was adding a mentally draining exhaustion to the physical one. JJ had also developed the habit of disappearing for an extra twenty minutes or so with the last order he would take near closing time. 'I am back here at the shop busting ass breaking down the make line and putting stuff away and trying to clean and mop and get it closed in between deliveries, and that prick is on his knees with a cock in his mouth at a frat house. Talk about sharing the workload!' went through his mind more than one night. Kyle was in a similar situation thanks to his pharmacology class that had been giving him fits all semester and the probate of his Dad's will taking longer than expected. The latter created many hours-stealing long calls back and forth to New York with his Mom and their attorney. The former caused Dr. Schwartz to pull him in for a meeting and strongly suggest he delay adding to the pressure and put off any further emergency room observation lab time until sometime during the spring semester. While that one definitely disappointed him, Kyle also knew he couldn't get 100% from the exposure in the trauma center if his mind wasn't 100% in it. Plus, as much as he hated to admit it to himself, he was having lingering depression over his father's untimely death and he was determined to limit as much as possible the effect it had on his medical school life just as he steadfastly refused to let it affect his marriage. He knew from his first psychology class way back as an undergrad student that the stages of grief included depression, but it played on his mind that he thought he was beyond that and well into the final stage of acceptance. Self-diagnosing himself, he realized that the backwards movement was most likely a reaction to how close their family had always been especially around the holidays...and that same psych class had taught him the first ones after a death were always the hardest. * * * * * Kyle heard the front door slam at the same time Josh's voice pierced the air. "I'm done for the day, babe, and you should be too," was the assumption Josh threw at him as he rushed into the living room. "Let's go find a Christmas tree right now and come back and get a few decorations up in here so I can get out of this shitty mood I am in. Please?" Kyle grinned as he closed the textbook on his lap. "Sure baby. I need to take a well deserved break and get in the spirit of the season too. Let me grab my wallet and keys to the Hummer and then we'll make the rest of the day all ours instead of ten professors at UWF's or the pizza shop's or the damn probate court of Erie County New York's. Josh was beaming as he watched Kyle trot down the hallway to their bedroom. Not only was this to be a much needed change of pace for himself, but as much as he loved this time of the year, he knew deep down that Kyle needed to find that little boy inside himself again too with this particular Christmas much more than he did. He had said little to Kyle, but he had definitely noticed the overly somber mood that surfaced after Thanksgiving at the farm. It was like Tigger's springy tail had unwound and he couldn't 'bOINg bOINg' anymore. He had mentioned the change to Mom Roberts when she called the other night, and she filled him in on how Christmas had always been such a family thing with them and Jack had been the living, breathing, all-providing Santa Claus come to life. Not so much in the sense of material things, but rather being the one that made sure everyone around him was as jolly as he was and celebrating family and their faith. "He'll be okay, Josh," she had reassured him. "Just find ways to get that inner child of his all excited and wanting to make new memories instead of living in past ones." "Let's roll studpuppy," interrupted Josh's train of thought as Kyle came up behind him and did a butt slap as he passed by. "Better move while you have me in the right mood." A huge grin on his face confirmed he was. "I'll make you a deal lover. You stay in that mood and I'll put you in an even better one under the tree once we get it up and decorated." He further teased by sensually using the tip of his tongue to slowly lick his lips and let his eyes convey an even more seductive message. Kyle laughed and replied, "You are such a damn horny elf, baby. Now just the thought of pine needles is making you hard." Josh stepped forward and gently cupped Kyle's crotch. "And from the feel of this, I think the idea of you getting blown on the floor in front of the fireplace later is going to have you dribbling in your expensive boxer briefs the whole time we are out looking for the tree. That's a pretty big candy cane you are hiding in there." "And you need to stop trying to have me think about unwrapping it right now, or we won't be putting the twin angels on top of the tree until midnight." A quick kiss to Josh's lips came before, "Let's get this done and then we can be naked the rest of the night." Josh squeezed Kyle's box one final time and then moved his hand away. "I'm going to hold you to that, babe." "You can hold anything you want later, but for now, get to the truck and let's find our first tree as a married couple." The smile those unplanned words put on Kyle's face was mirrored by the one the words created on Josh's face also. And the one their mind meld had too. * * * * * "I thought you said we were only going to get a small tree, Kyle," was the questioning statement Josh made as they pulled out of the makeshift Christmas tree sales lot on Pensacola Boulevard in front of the boarded up restaurant in the middle of Car City. "That sucker on the roof will take up half the living room! Da~damn!" "I got in the mood to sweep up pine needles all over the house for the next six months. So shoot me," was the tongue-in-cheek response. Josh only laughed at first as he said a silent prayer for this change in Kyle to a happier demeanor to last and not dwell so much on his dad being gone. "I just hope we have enough lights and ornaments to fill it out decently." "Oh we do. Don't worry about that, Josh. Remember you married the original Christmas freak. There are at least a half dozen boxes of just tree stuff in the spare bedroom closet." Josh knew his husband well enough to not even question the truthfulness of that claim. Just as he was about to suggest they decorate the small pine in their front yard if they had enough leftover he yelled out excitedly. "Kyle! Pull in that dealership over there! I wanna check something they have sitting in the front row of the used car section!" "Got a bone for a new one, Pooh?" he asked as he whipped the huge truck across two lanes of traffic to make the car lot's entrance. "More like Pooh is getting tired of using half his tip money every week to keep the old one patched up and running. That old Honda has been a good one, but delivering pizza has finally taken its toll on her I think. And with more than 200,000 miles on the odometer, I need to at least be seriously looking. I don't have anywhere near enough to replace it yet, but I need to start checking ones out to at least have an idea of what's out there and what it will really cost." Five minutes later, Josh was sitting behind the wheel of an electric blue, five year old, Honda Civic that looked inside and out as if it had just rolled off the assembly line. "So what do you think, Josh...tell them you'll pay cash and take it right now?" Kyle teased. Josh rolled his eyes and mumbled, "Yeah. Right. Something tells me even though this one would be perfect, there are more digits in the price than my budget will allow...even with a loan." "Well at least take it for test spin so you know whether this model is one you want to keep an eye open for," Kyle suggested. The salesman that appeared seconds later pushed for a test drive too. Josh shrugged his shoulders at Kyle and then nodded his head at the salesman. Fifteen minutes later, he pulled back into the same parking slot the car had been in before. "I'll check back with you on it," was the promise Josh made the salesman as he and Kyle crawled back up in the Hummer. After they pulled back out on the main drag, he ticked off his review of the car. "It's perfect, Kyle. Like new condition. Only had 38,000 miles on it. Same as my Civic except ten years newer. And I love the color." 'Yeah. It matches your eyes, baby," Kyle injected. "That says you have to buy it." "Just one nasty little thing about it I don't like." "What's that, Josh?" "The damn price. $18,888 is way more than I can afford. I know that is just the 'come on in' starting price, but there is little doubt it will take at least $16,000 to make a deal. I guess I need to look for something at least four or five years older. That one is so sweet, but..." He didn't finish the comment with anything but a sigh. Kyle reached across the center console and squeezed Josh's knee. "It's okay baby. You'll find the right one. I'll help you go look after we get back from New York. It's not like you are ready to buy one today unless you have $10,000 hidden in that tip jar in our bedroom." Josh smiled at Kyle's touch and nodded his head. "Yeah, that can be my New Year's resolution: Find a new car that won't take half my paycheck every week to pay for." * * * * * By the time they had manhandled the giant pine off the roof of the Hummer and into the house, the grumblings of the stomachs had become loud enough to be heard. "What do you want for dinner, baby," Kyle inquired. "How about instead of taking the time to fix food, let's just call the shop and get pizza. I know you want to decorate as bad as I do now that this monster is in here." Josh was all but jumping up and down like a five year old at the idea of transforming the large living room into their own private holiday display. "Cody owes me one for covering for JJ again last night anyway." "You didn't tell me anything about that last night when you got home. What did Mister Round Heels do this time?" "The asshole took the final deliver of the night to the TKE house and was gone forty-five fuckin' minutes. That's a twenty minute round trip even if you get caught at every traffic light and have to spend five minutes tracking down the guy that ordered it once you get there. Plus the bastard had cum spots all over his shirt and pants that were fresh when he finally wandered back in. Course I had been humping tail trying to get stuff done so we could get out as soon as he got back and finished up the dishes while I mopped the last little bit of floor. So I basically ended up doing all the closing duties while JJ was getting his...and a frat boy's...rocks off on the clock again." Pizza Boy Back at the Door Ch. 02 Kyle hugged Josh and said, "There are dicks like that in every business. Just do your job and he will get taken care of eventually. Something or someone will bite him in the ass before long." "I hope so 'cause I am the fuck over his shit and about ready to take him out back to have a dumpster conference with his face." Kyle grinned at the uber butch Josh that had surfaced again. "Another day, baby. Another day. Just call Cody and score us dinner while I dig out the decorations for the tree and living room." He spun on his heel and headed for the spare bedroom as Josh ordered their standard dinner of a large pie...half chicken and green olives ~ half Philly steak and onions...and cinnamon stick dessert with the always required now, extra icing cups. * * * * * By the time the doorbell rang announcing dinner was there, the huge tree had already been more than half decorated. Blue flasher lights were once again the central theme and nearly three dozen snow white ornaments were spread around the multiple bushy limbs. Josh was busy setting up the crystal manger scene on the mantle, so Kyle headed to the front door as the bell sounded again. Even with the music playing in the background, Josh's ears perked up as soon as he heard the familiar voice say, "Got something really hot for you tonight." 'Motherfuckin' JJ!' shrieked between his ears and he abandoned the mantle project to rush to Kyle's side. "Oh. Um. Err. Hi, Josh," was the stumbling acknowledgment JJ gave him as he sided up next to his husband and wrapped an arm around his waist. "Hello, JJ," was all that was said, but with the icy stare and lack of any inflection in Josh's voice, the underlying message was crystal clear without words: 'He's my husband. Don't even think of going there with him!' For the briefest of moments, JJ had a look on his face that said he was going to make a suggestion about tipping with a threesome or something equally as tacky and out of line, but wisely he swallowed whatever was crossing his tongue. Kyle was amused by the standoff between the two, and simply handed over the cash for the order and a more-than-healthy tip and took the warm boxes and three icing cups from JJ. He tried to finalize the transaction with something that started with, "Thanks and if there is anything else I can..." but had the door slammed in his face by Josh before he could make whatever offer he had in mind. As Kyle sat the boxes down on the coffee table, he declared, "Damn Joshua. Do I sense a little less than the proper Christmas spirit in you all of a sudden? Where is your 'Peace on earth, Good will to men, and Spread the love' attitude? The giant idiot grin he had pasted on his face is all that saved him from another rant and lecture about JJ from Josh...but it didn't save him completely. "I'll show you 'Spread the love,' Kyle," came along with his sweats being shoved down his long, hard thighs. "I'm all into 'Good will' towards one man," was the statement as Kyle's tee shirt was yanked over his head. The boxer briefs followed the sweats to the floor next and came with, "Now put your 'piece' down on that big 'earthy' area rug and prepare to be reminded of who YOUR pizza boy is!" Even though this wasn't at all how he had pictured tonight's seduction to play out, Kyle followed Josh's instructions and kicked free of his sweats and undies before splaying himself naked on the plush rug in front of the fireplace. He watched intently as Josh strutted up, placed one foot on each side of his torso, and began to slowly strip himself. They locked eyes and Josh's voice took on a sultry timbre he had never heard before. "I think you need ravaged," were the words that came off his lips as his pullover came over his head. "Or maybe you just need the world's best blow job," was the option as Josh unzipped his jeans and pushed them to his ankles. "Course there is this that can fill you up like you may need it too," was the choice that went along with Josh freeing his leaking erection from the tighty whities he forced to follow his jeans down his legs. As he dropped down on top of Kyle and began a rhythmical writhing he whispered, "Or maybe I should just grind on you like this until you beg for something else." Kyle was the hardest and the most turned on he could remember being in a long time and said only one thing: "If there is an 'all of the above' option, I'll choose that one." Josh's only reply was to smile and fill the request. * * * * * Finally, sometime close to midnight, the tree was finally done but for one thing. The boys completed it with the one tradition they had began the previous year as Kyle encircled Josh's waist from behind and lifted him up so he could place the dual angel tree topper on the spindly, single tip of the tree. They kissed passionately as he was lowered back to the floor and yet again as they stared at the warm glow the angel topper gave off when it was plugged into the other lights. Christmas was in their house and they were filled with the spirit. Mugs of hot cocoa and the final scraps of the cinnamon dessert while they went over the travel plans for the holidays finished the evening for them. Bed was a welcome sight and even though their cuddling up created new erections, they were both already well satiated and ignored them in exchange for the rest they needed. When the dreams came, they were about all the memories that had brought them to tonight...as a couple...together and forever. * * * * * * * * * * AUTHOR'S NOTE: Thank you so much for your patience on waiting for this chapter.
