To everyone that enjoyed the Staring at the ocean series, you recognize some of the characters in this one and most of my other stories as well. The reason for this is because I thought up story lines that link most of the characters before I actually started writing them. This is also the first time I've written something from a gay male perspective (sorry if that offends anyone), I'm a girl so I just might not know what the hell I'm talking about but then again I mostly read gay male stories (call me weird, but it's kinda hot), so hopefully it's authentic. Thanks to Angel that once again waved her fluffy editors wand over this chapter and didn't hate the story to much. I hope you enjoy it and there will be more coming if you like it, so let me know what you think. These chapters will also be longer in coming as I'm still busy writing them. Hope you enjoy it! * "You're gonna get yourself killed!" Jake said the words into the headset he was wearing. Speaking to an unseen agent was not his idea of fun for a Saturday morning, but Agent Reilly McCormack needed his special kind of help. "Would you stop bitching. If I wanted someone to nag me all day long, I would've married Scott," came the reply. Jake chuckled at that and muttered back, "Hey, it's your ass man. Gibbs asked me to help, so I can't have you ignoring the Intel." Jake exhaled slowly. "Look, if I make it through this alive, you can have my ass. Right now I need to get that woman out of here. Please." Jake didn't even notice that Reilly had offered him his ass. "What woman?" He wanted to know. He sucked in a breath when all of a sudden he noticed the eerie silence of static in his ear. He turned to the tech. "What happened?" "I don't know, it's like the wires were cut." "Jesus." Jake went cold, instantly knowing something happened to Reilly. Not to mention this woman he was talking about. "I'm going over there." Jake was gone in the blink of an eye. Half way to his truck he had his kevlar vest strapped to his chest and was checking his weapon. Once inside the truck he was ready to go and raced toward the villa where Reilly infiltrated a mob family as an assassin. All his 'victims' had new lives after he 'killed' them, thanks to witness protection. The problem was there was a leak inside the Agency. They still had no idea where the leak came from. Jake Fox has been working with Reilly. Having never actually seen Reilly he had no idea how he was going to find him. They had been in contact for almost four full weeks and to say that Jake was a little in love with the agent was an understatement. As Jake drove, his thoughts turned back to late night conversations he had with Reilly. Reilly let slip, a week after first contact that he was gay, when he talked of Scott, his ex-boyfriend. Jake didn't even hesitate and asked him if he knew what the odds were of two of the Internal Intelligence Agency's agents being gay were. Their relationship took on more of an intimate turn after that. Instinct took over when he saw someone in the middle of the road. Jake pushed hard against the brakes, coming to a stop inches for a bleeding man. Withdrawing his weapon, Jake kept the gun trained on the guy and slowly made his way around the truck. "Jesus, what the fuck!" he exclaimed. "Are you trying to bleed your ass to death?" The bleeding guy's reply came out on a whisper, "I told you earlier, you can have my ass later. Just get me the fuck out of here." Jake knew he just met Agent Reilly McCormack. He wasn't what he expected. It could've been the fact that his hair was dirty and matted to his head with blood. He had bruises on his face and a cut above his left eye that dripped blood over his face and neck. His clothes were dirty, torn and drenched in blood. "Jesus, what happened?" Jake caught Reilly in his arms when he stumbled forward. "Shot," was all Reilly could get out. Jake helped Reilly to the passenger seat. He grabbed a towel that lying was on the backseat and gave it to Reilly. He ran to the driver side and got in. He turned to look at Reilly. "Keep some pressure on those wounds," he said as he fired up the truck. Jake looked at Reilly from the corner of his eye. Reilly laid his head back on the seat and rolled his head in Jake's direction. "Hey, I'll be fine. Just get me to a hospital." Jake shot a pained look in Reilly's direction and said, "Hang on. This could get rough." But Reilly didn't hear because he was already passed out. Grateful that Reilly had passed out, Jake broke every single traffic law getting to the hospital. When he reached the hospital, he saw two doctors standing outside the ER doors. He ran around to Reilly's door shouting at the doctor's. "Over here, come help me." One doctor rushed over while the other went to go raise the alarm inside and get a gurney. Jake quickly explained as best he could. Before reaching the doors his cell phone rang. Knowing he had to answer he growled into the phone, "Fox." "Where are you?" The voice was that of his boss. "University Hospital. Agent McCormack is having bullets removed." "Christ. Well, there's nothing you can do there. Get your ass back to the villa. There are bodies everywhere and I need you on Garcia JR." The line went dead before Jake could respond. Torn between orders from his boss and concern for Reilly, Jake stood alone in the ER parking lot. Making his decision, he ran through the doors and spoke to the receptionist. He showed her his credentials and left his card and instructions to be called with Reilly's progress. Jumping back in the truck, he high-tailed it back the way he came. He prayed all the way that the guy who shot Reilly was dead. Else, he'd be standing trail for murder. New York Agent Ch. 02 Sorry you had to wait so long for the next installment. Life kinda gets in the way sometimes. I'll try to keep 'em coming more regular. Also I need to warn you: if you're looking for a quick jerk of session, you ain't finding it here. I write romantic stuff, yeah I know, sappy shit, but I write what I feel and I feel that two guys that don't know each other shouldn't jump in the sack at the first possible moment (even though people do that), but hey this is my story so weeeeeeh! Now for the legal stuff, if you're not allowed to read this stuff, please don't. Oh and by the way, my stuff is copyrighted, so don't even think about it. To everyone that has read my stories thank you very much. Hope you enjoy the next chapter. Thanks to everyone that votes. Keep it up! Chapter 2 The drive home took longer than Reilly expected. When they pulled up to Jake's house Reilly was surprised to actually find a house instead of an apartment. "You live in a house?" "Yeah." Jake laughed at the surprised expression on Reilly's face. Jake let Reilly inside and quickly showed Reilly the layout downstairs and then led him upstairs to show him to the guestroom. "I can put your things through the wash. We can go get the rest of your stuff later if you want." Jake offered. "Thanks that will be great, but what I really want right now is a bath. I need to get this hospital smell off me." Reilly said. "Sure, no problem, there's a bathroom through there." Jake pointed to a door on the right and left Reilly to his bath. Two minutes later he was back wanting to ask Reilly if he wanted something to eat. "Rei . . . Shit, sorry . . . I just wanted to . . ." Jake stammered. "It's ok, Jake, relax. You act like you've never seen a half naked man before." "I haven't." Was his reply. Reilly suck in a breath at Jake admission. 'What is he saying?' The answer Reilly came up with and the truth were two very different things. Reilly moved closer to Jake. Jake couldn't take his eyes of him. "You're . . . "Jake stopped himself from saying gorgeous and instead said. " . . . completely healed." Jake said as he reached out a hand and trailed his finger tips over Reilly scarred chest. Jake saw Reilly's stomach muscles clench and heard Reilly suck in a breath. "Jake." Reilly groaned. "Don't distract me and don't change the subject." "What subject?" Jake feigned ignorance, never removing his fingers from Reilly's flat toned stomach. "You're a virgin." It wasn't a question. "Is it a problem?" Jake was suddenly nervous to hear Reilly's answer. Hoping he didn't screw this relationship up before it even started. "No. I'm a virgin to, sort of." Reilly reached up and cupped Jake's cheek in his hand. Jake pressed his cheek against Reilly's palm, loving the closeness and Reilly's touch. "How can you sort of be a virgin, you either are or you're not." Jake asked confused. "I'll explain later." Remembering Jake's innocence earlier at the hospital Reilly whispered. "Jake." "Yes?" "Please, kiss me again." Reilly whispered. An instant later Jake was leaning towards Reilly with his lips pressed against Reilly's mouth. Reilly closed the gap and pressed his body against Jake's hating the fact that Jake was still wearing jeans and a T-shirt and he was in boxers. He wanted to feel Jake's skin against him. He wanted Jake. Period. The kiss was hesitant at first, but when Jake felt Reilly's hands snake around his waist, he let out his pent up breath and decided it was a good a time as any to take the kiss to the next level. Jake pulled away slightly and when their lips were a breath apart, Jake licked his lips, running his tongue against Reilly's lips simultaneously. Reilly heard the moan, but didn't realize it came from him until Jake licked his own lips again. That's when he heard it again and realized it came from his mouth. He could taste Jake in that lick. He opened his eyes and could see Jake watching him. Reilly let out a breath. "You're killing me." "I'm killing myself too." Jake shivered visibly at the words. Jake suddenly took a step back from Reilly. Reaching out he took Reilly's hand and led him out the door and down the hall to his own bedroom. "Jake . . . " Reilly stopped just inside the door and took in Jake's room. The darkest red paint he'd ever seen covered the walls. A thick black carpet covered the floor from wall to wall. The center of attraction was Jake's huge bed. Standing elevated from the floor by about a foot and a half the bed looked soft and inviting. The room itself was also huge. Big floor to ceiling windows covered one wall to the bed's right, with a view of the city in the distance. In front of the windows was a massive chair covered in what must be very soft material because it looked inviting. What surprised Reilly the most was that there were no closets or other furniture in the room. Just the bed and the chair. The rest of the room was bare. Jake saw the confusion on Reilly's face and walked to the wall opposite the windows. He pressed a palm to the wall and the spring-loaded door sprung open. "Bathroom and closet is through here." Jake stepped through the door and Reilly just stood at the door. Reilly was contemplating curling up on the bed like kitten when he heard Jake's voice. "Rei, come back here a minute will you." Reilly made is way through the door and down a short passage and stepped into Jake's master bath. Everything was black. The tiles, bath counters. Even the wall tiles. The only escape from the black was the chromed fixtures and the glass encasing the shower. This was big enough to fit four people with room to spare. Reilly saw the tub was filled with steaming water. Jake had his back to him and saw him putting away something in a drawer that looked like a remote. Suddenly music filled the air in the bathroom. Creed. His favorite band. Just when fear blinded me you taught me to dream . . . I'll give you everything I am and still fall short of . . . What you've done for me . . . In this life that I live . . . I hope I can give love unselfishly . . . I've learned the world is bigger than me . . . You're my daily dose of reality "How did you know?" Reilly wanted to know. "Know what?" Jake asked. "That this is my favorite song." "I didn't. It's my favorite." Jake replied. Reilly just grinned. Taking a step towards Jake. Jake suddenly changed the subject. "You said you wanted a bath right? Well here you go." Jake said indicating the filled tub. Reilly looked from the tub to Jake and quickly made is decision. Hooking his thumbs into his underwear he slowly pealed his boxers from his body. Reilly notice the faint tinge of red on Jake's cheekbones. He also noticed the appreciated looks Jake darted at his cock. Stepping out of his underwear he stepped into the tub. When Jake made to leave Reilly quickly spoke to avoid Jake leaving and to get a look at Jake's body. "Join me." Jake came to an abrupt halt two feet from the bathroom door. Reilly didn't look back but he heard the rustle of clothing being removed. After a long few minutes he heard Jake's voice. "Make room." Reilly scooted forward in the warm water. He immediately felt Jake's presence and a few seconds later he felt Jake's legs slip past his hips and along his own. His legs on either side of his body. Reilly was sitting straight up in the water. He felt Jake hand on his shoulder pulling him back. Reilly let out the breath he was unaware of holding when his back came into contact with Jake's hard muscled chest. Reilly didn't know where the sponge in Jake's hand came from but he purred like a kitten when Jake squeezed the accumulated water over his chest. "You like that, don't you?" he asked Reilly. "You betcha. I should've requested you for bath detail in hospital." Reilly joked. Jake sucked in a breath. He hated thinking of Reilly in hospital. When Jake didn't say anything for a few minutes, Reilly lifted himself from the comfortable place in Jake's arms and turned as much as he could to face Jake. "What up?" he asked. "Nothing." Was Jake's reply. "Don't give me that shit. What's wrong? Every time I mention the word 'hospital' you tense up and shut up. What's going on?" "I just don't like the word OK. I hate think that you were there and why you where there. I hate the whole situation. I hate that, those sick fucks have my sister." Jake stopped when he felt tears in his eyes. "Sorry." "Don't be. You have nothing to be sorry for. I'm the one who should be sorry. I keep bringing it up. Look Jake, I know this isn't the best place for this. What do you say we get out of his tub and talk for a bit?" Jake didn't even answer; he just stood and stepped out of the tub. Grabbed a towel and headed for the door. Reilly sighed at his retreating back and quickly finished his bath, hating the fact that he wasn't able to stop for a moment and enjoy it. The one thing he missed before this whole mess started. Stepping out of the bath he saw a robe hanging off a hook next to the door. Hoping Jake wouldn't mind he quickly dried himself. Let the water out of the tub. He walked to the drawer where he saw Jake stash the remote but before he could stop the music he listened to the words of the song that was playing at the moment and he stopped to listen. At times life is wicked and I just can't see the light . . . A silver lining sometimes isn't enough to make some wrongs seem right . . . Whatever life brings . . . I've been through everything and now I'm on my knees again . . . But I know I must go on . . . Although I hurt I must be strong . . . Because inside I know that many feel this way . . . Clicking the CD player off before the song can continue playing. Reilly pulled the robe closed around him and walked towards the bedroom. "Ain't that the truth." "Ain't what the truth?" Jake asked from the bed. "I was listening to Don't Stop Dancing in the bathroom." Reilly said as an explanation. Jake just smiled as he recalled the words. "I get the words but why is it the truth?" Jake wanted to know. "It kills me to see you like this and I know I have to be strong for you but I feel like I want to crawl up in to a little ball and cry for a week." Reilly looked away. "How pathetic am I?" His question didn't quite sound like a question. "Rei . . . c'mere." Jake stretched his hand out to Reilly. Reilly walked the distance from the walk in closet to the bed where Jake was sitting. He took Jake's hand in both of his but instead of sitting down next to Jake he kneeled between his thighs and looked up at Jake with sad eyes. "Don't look like that Reilly. I'm fine really, I just miss Jos." Jake smiled at Reilly. "Tell me what I can do to make it better. Please." Reilly nearly begged. "Hold me?" Jake asked. Reilly wrapped his arms around Jake and laid his head against Jake shoulder. Thinking about how he would feel if he lost Emy. 'Christ, I'd die.' Reilly hugged Jake a little harder. "I'm sorry." He whispered against Jake's chest. Tears threatening against his eyelids. He lifted his head and looked at Jake. "I'm sorry." He repeated. "Not your fault." Jake said close to tears. Reilly leaned forward and pressed his lips to Jake's. Uncertain of how Jake would respond he made the kiss short and chaste. Jake hooked his hand behind Reilly's head and pulled him back when he pulled away and kissed him back. "Please," Jake whispered against Reilly's lips. "I need you." Reilly looked up at Jake, "Are you sure." "I've never been more sure of anything in my life. Make me forget." Jake replied. Reilly didn't say anything, just looked into his eyes and reached for hemmed elastic of his boxers. With a look Jake lifted his hips off the bed and Reilly slipped Jake's underwear off his body. Reilly sucked in a breath when he saw Jake, not really having had a good look at him in the bathroom, Reilly felt an intense rush at Jake's beauty and the fact that he will soon be have part of Jake inside him. "What are you looking at?" Jake wanted to know. "You . . . you're beautiful." Reilly smiled at Jake's blush. "It's true." Reilly emphasized his point by a soft kiss against Jake's chest where his heart was beating beneath his skin. Reilly felt and heard Jake's heart pound. "I don't want you to be uncomfortable at any time, so tell me to stop when you want ok?" Reilly looked into Jake's eyes as he said the words so he could know that he meant them. "Thanks, but I won't ask you to stop, I've wanted this . . . you for so long, I can't remember ever wanting everything this badly." Reilly groaned as the words poured from Jake. Wanting nothing more than to take Jake in his arms and make love to him knew he wouldn't be able to handle the rejection of another person he loved and decided to let Jake do to him what he wanted. "Jake, I'm here. We'll go as fast or as slow as you want." Reilly leaned up and placed soft butterfly kisses along Jake's jaw. Reilly thought he'd never feel anything so sexy as Jake's five o'clock shadow against his lips. Opening his mouth slightly Reilly allowed his tongue to run the length of Jake's jaw. As much as Jake loved Reilly lips on his cheek he wanted to feel them against his own. Turning his head slightly, he leaned froward and pressed his lips gently against Reilly's. His hand reached back and tangled in Reilly's soft, slightly long blonde hair. Reilly groaned against Jake's lips and Jake took that as a sign that he was doing something right. Opening his mouth he let is tongue dart out and flick across Reilly's. Reilly immediately opened his mouth and let Jake inside. Hot electricity crackled between them as their tongues pushed against one another. Their lips meshed and clung. Only one word could describe their kiss. Hot. Reilly lost himself in Jake, when he came up for air he realized that he was lying next to Jake on the bed with no recollection of how the hell he got there. Jake caressed his hands down the smooth expanse of Reilly's back. Feeling muscles ripple as he went along, Jake couldn't help wanting to know what those muscles would feel like under his lips. "I want to kiss you all over." Jake breathed rather than said the words again Reilly's neck. "I'm not gonna stop you or complain." Was Reilly's reply. Jake rolled Reilly over until he was lying with his body flush against Reilly's. Chest to chest. Stomach to stomach. Legs entangled, and velvety hardness rubbing against each other through Jake's underwear. Suddenly Reilly looked up in surprise. "What happened to the robe I was wearing." Reilly saw the smile spread across Jake's face. Then he heard the giggle, then the full-blown laughter as he felt Jake's chest rumble against his own. "What's so funny?" Reilly was hurt that Jake could laugh at him at a time like this. It brought back ugly memories. "The look on your face is priceless." Jake couldn't control his laughter and with an almighty push Reilly shoved Jake from him. Jake unable to control himself in time, tumbled a little to far and took a three-foot flight to the floor. "Oh God, Jake are you OK?" Reilly jumped up and rushed around the bed to where Jake fell but what he saw stopped him in his tracks. Jake was still laughing his ass off. "Maybe you should share the joke." Reilly said impatiently. Jake suddenly sobered when he heard Reilly's tone. "I don't appreciate being laughed at." Reilly said, ugly feelings rushing from his past. He reached down and grabbing up the previously discarded robe and fled from Jake's bedroom. Jake stared after him and could help saying out loud. "What the fuck?" To be continued . . . New York Agent Ch. 03 Hiya, yes I know, it's no excuse making you wait this long, but I'm writing this as I go along and unfortunately I don't get as much time to write as I used to. Luckily for you guys, that should change in the near future and you should see stuff more often. I've also interrupted this story with two others and I work on all three as inspiration hits me. In the mean time look out for my other stories! If you're not allowed to read this, please click away! Hope you enjoy the next installment. Happy reading and keep voting!!! Chapter 3 Getting up from the floor and following Reilly down the hall daze, Jake wondered what the hell just happened. Seeing Reilly enter the guestroom he was surprised to find the door slammed shut in his face. "Reilly?" Jake asked softly through the door. "Go away Jake." "What's going on?" "Please Jake, just go away." Not knowing what to do or what to expect, Jake walked back to his bathroom and fished through his jeans for his cell phone. Walking back to his room he sat down on the chair looking through the window and dialed a number he become very familiar with over the last few weeks, but this time it wasn't Reilly he was calling for. "University Hospital. May I help you?" "Yeah, could I maybe speak with Dr Simms? It's about one of her patients." "Please hold while I page her." Jake heard the annoying music in his ear and waited for almost two minutes before, thank God for his sanity, the music finally clicked off. "Julie Simms." "Jules. It's Jake, Jake fox." "Jake?" He could hear the fear in her voice. "Is it Reilly? What going on?" "It's is kind of. Listen Julie, sorry to worry you at work, but Reilly just freaked out and I don't know what to do." Jake was annoyed when he heard Julie's chuckle. "Julie, I'm glad I can offer you entertainment but I laughed at Reilly and he freaked and now he locked himself in my guestroom. A little help please." Jake knew he was rambling but he was becoming more and more upset by the second. "O shit Jake. What were you doing when you started laughing?" Julie suddenly asked. "We were fooling around, kissing and stuff, ya know." Jake mumbled, suddenly shy. "And?" Julie wanted to know. "He asked me what happened to his robe, the look on his face, I couldn't help it. I started laughing. That's when he freaked." "Jake have you and Reilly talked about Scott? Reilly's ex." Julie asked. "No, why would we? I figured Reilly would tell me when he ready." "Jake, I can't tell you. It's not my place and I don't think I know all the details, but I think you should get Reilly to tell you exactly what happened with him and Scott. You'll also understand why he freaked out because of the laughing." "But . . . " Jake started, but Julie cut him off. "Look Jake, I have to go. The ER is paging me. I'll call you and we can catch up but I have to go. Talk to him Jake. Bye." Before Jake could even echo the goodbye Julie had already hung up. "Fuck, I wish Jos was here." Jake swore out loud. 'She'd know exactly what to do and say.' *** Down the hall Reilly was also on the phone. "Thanks for taking my call. When Julie told me about you I thought it was false hope, but anything you can do will be massive." "No worries. I will need to speak to everyone involved though." "I guess you'll get the best Intel from me and Jake. Jordan, there's something else you need to know." Reilly hesitated. "Could we maybe arrange a meeting?" Jordan asked. "I think that would be best." Reilly and Jordan agreed on a date and time for their meeting and Reilly assured Jordan he would bring Jake along. When Reilly hung up he's thoughts were on Jake. 'I'm going to have to explain my little drama queen act.' *** Reilly finally talked to Jake, but the conversation was strained and tense, but Reilly finally got Jake to agree to go see Jordan and Cheyenne. Two days of unbearable silence and tension later, Jake and Reilly went to go see Jordan Colt. Jordan was in their operations room explaining the situation to his staff while Jake and Reilly was in the company boardroom with Cheyenne, Jordan's wife. Cheyenne with her blonde hair could easily pass for Reilly's sister they looked so much alike. Reilly looked at Jake with a mixture of sadness and longing. Wishing he could tell Jake how he felt, but afraid it would be too much for him to handle after hearing what exactly happened that day at the villa. Reilly looked at Cheyenne and saw a frown mar her beautiful features. "Mr. Fox?" She tried to get Jake's attention. "Can I get you anything?" Jake either ignored or didn't hear her because he kept on pacing. Reilly looked up and saw the look on Jake's face, knowing he was about two minutes away from tearing the place apart. When Jake walked passed Reilly grabbed his hand. Stunned, Jake questioned Reilly. "What?" "I . . . " Reilly thought for a moment, wondering how Jake would feel about making their relationship public, but Jake beat him to it. "Rei, talk to me. What's going on?" "Nothing. I just, I'm worried about you." Jake sat down in the chair next to Reilly but turned his body towards Reilly's. Reilly caught a glimpse of Cheyenne's face. Her smile told Reilly she didn't mind their display of affection. Reilly refocused his attention on Jake. "You need a hug?" Reilly asked. "Yeah, probably as much as you do." Jake tugged Reilly forward and before Reilly could blink he was sitting in Jake's lap, tucked into his body and to tell the complete truth, at that moment Reilly didn't care that some one was watching. "I'm so scared." Jake whispered against Reilly's chest. Reilly felt rather than saw Jake give in to his emotions. Reilly wrapped his arms tightly around Jake's shoulders and pressed his head to the top of Jake's where it rested against his chest. "Shhh, it's ok." Reilly soothed in a low voice. Jake lifted his head and looked at Reilly. Reilly's heart broke at the look in Jake's eyes. Reilly took Jake's face in both his hands. "Don't stop believing my love." Reilly whispered and pressed a soft kiss against Jake's forehead and pulled him back into a fierce hug. Cheyenne looked at these two men and saw the love the felt for one another. All her misconceptions about gay men flew out the window as she saw these beautiful big men cling to one another. She quickly and quietly got up, not wanting to intrude in what seemed to her a private moment. She laid a hand on Reilly's shoulder. "I'll leave you two here. If you need anything just ask Jessie out at reception. She come get me when you guys are ready." She whispered softly. On silent feet she left the boardroom and Jake and Reilly was alone. Jake didn't even notice Cheyenne leaving, he clung to Reilly as if the world was coming to an end. To Jake it truly felt as if everything was tumbling down around him and that there was nothing he could do about it. Reilly sat in Jake's arms for nearly ten minutes before one of them moved or spoke. Jake looked up into Reilly's face. "I need you." Jake's words were a whisper, but it was fierce. "I'm right here," was Reilly's response. "You have no idea of how much I need you right now." Jake's voice was broken. "I do, I need you the same way." Reilly looked into Jake's eyes and realized that he wanted him. Badly. Conflicting emotions ran through him as he argued with himself. 'How could I want to make love at a time like this?' He asked himself. "Rei . . .?" Jake's voice was just above a whisper. "I can't do this. I don't think I'm strong enough." Reilly saw tears run down Jake's cheeks and his heart shattered in about a million pieces. "Oh, Jake. Don't give up now. Please. You're stronger than you think." Reilly pressed against Jake and Jake buried his face in Reilly's chest. "We'll find her, you need to believe that." Clutching Reilly to him Jake didn't hear the door open. Reilly looked up into shocked green eyes of a beautiful raven-haired girl. "Jake . . .?" She spoke in a little voice. Kind of fluffy and thick with emotion. Reilly doubted Jake heard her. Reilly pressed his lips to Jake's ear and whispered. "Jake, there's someone at the door that would like to speak to you." Jake held onto Reilly tighter. The girl stepped forward and placed her hand on Jake's shoulder. Instinctively Reilly know exactly who this woman was and he smiled beatifically through his tears. Reilly immediately understood that she needed Jake to know she was here, but Jake wouldn't let him go. Reilly looked over his shoulder into her tear-filled eyes and nodded once, lifting his hand to her. With a sob she launched herself at Jake's back and Reilly engulfed her their embrace. She held on to Jake so tightly, Reilly thought she was never going to let go. Jake finally noticed the sobbing woman plastered to him. Then he heard her whisper. "I'm sorry baby. I'm sorry for not telling you the truth." She whispered. Jake lifted his face from Reilly's chest and turned to look at her over Reilly's shoulder. "Jos? Baby girl, where have you been?" Looking at her with sad eyes, Jake untangled himself from Reilly. They both stood and looked at her. Jake could tell from the look on her face that she was partly to blame for disappearing. "I know stuff Jake. I saw things that normal people like me shouldn't have to see. That's why I had to go, I had to get away where no one could find me." Jos was talking so fast Reilly had trouble keeping up with her. "Slow down Jos, it's ok. Tell me." Jake took her in his arms and pressed him to his chest. Jos took a shuddering breath and then continued. "The NYPD got involved somehow and sent this guy after me. He found me. I don't know how." Jos looked into Jake's eyes. "Jake, if he can find me, they will to. I had to come back. You have to help me." Jos was sobbing by the time she finished. "Who's this guy that found you? Who are 'they'?" I need to know. You need to tell me." Jake asked holding her to his chest once again rubbing soothing circles on her back. Before Jos could answer a voice came from the door. "That would be me." Reilly looked up and gasped in shocked surprise. All the blood in his body rushed to his feet and before anyone could react, he crumpled to a heap on the floor. Jake was at his side in an instant. "Reilly! Rei!!! Wake up baby!" Jake shouted to get Reilly to come round. Reilly opened his eyes slowly, hoping he dreamed what just happened. He looked towards the man standing behind Jos and groaned. "I thought you where dead? They told us you died." Reilly voice was a whisper. "Looks like I didn't, little brother . . . " To be continued . . . New York Agent Ch. 04 I know this has been long in coming out and thanks for everyone support, the nagging helped. I'll try to get the rest out as soon as possible. If you're not allowed to read this stuff, please don't … blah … I ain't getting into it, ya'll should know the rules by now. This chapter contains a memory from one of the characters being raped, so if this upsets you please don't read it. Also, I feel obligated to mention that some of the rape scene is from a harsh reality so I tried not to add much detail as this would have been an invasion of privacy to a very dear friend. Sweets, thanks for sharing your story and approving of me using it. Thanks to Genevieve for being an inspiration and friend (and all the hot sex tips!). If you weren't a raging queen I'd marry you in a minute, love ya babes! To AsylumSeeker, thanks for the edit, it made me cringe to see some of the mistakes. Also thanks to the amazing band Alter Bridge for writing the most beautiful song in the world. I had to use it. Enjoy and remember to leave a comment and vote. Love Belle *** Reilly blinked and saw Jake's worried face above him. He blinked again and saw Jos kneeling at his side. He closed his eyes and when he opened them again it was accompanied by a whimper. Jake scooped him into his arms and almost squeezed the life out of him. "Don't ever scare me like that again. Jesus," Jake mumbled against his hair. Reilly closed his eyes again and held on to Jake, wanting to believe the impossible but afraid that his mind was playing tricks on him. "I need to call Emy," was all he could think. She'll know. "Am I seeing things?" he slowly whispered. "Open your eyes and look at me Reilly." He heard the voice of his long dead brother. "This can't be happening." Lifting his head from Jake's shoulder he allowed Jake to help him up. He ignored everyone and looked straight into the deep blue eyes that were a direct reflection of his own. Deep blue eyes he thought he only shared with his mother and his baby sister. "How?" he whispered. "They told us you died, we had a funeral. We mourned you. Mama nearly died from missing you." "We'll get to that later, right now I'd like to know why super cop over here is looking for Jos." He motioned towards Jake. "Shut up, Hunt." That was Jos. She had moved closer to Jake and was standing in the protection of his arms. Hugging Jake close to her once more she smiled at Reilly. "I believe introductions are in order. Heath Hunt, meet Special Agent Jake Fox, my brother." Jos walked over to Heath and he opened his arms to receive her. Reilly just stared. Jake took over the rest of the introductions. "Reilly McCormack meet Jos Fox, my little sister. Jos this is Reilly, my . . . uhm . . ." "His boyfriend." Reilly finished when he faltered, slipping an arm around Jake. Jos' face split into a huge grin. "You found him?" The question was directed at Jake. "Yes, I did." Jake couldn't help but smile at Jos as he remembered their conversations about finding their "ones". That person you spend the rest of your life with. "You?" was his simple question. "Yeah." Jos answered, sneaking a look towards Heath. Suddenly, before anyone could speak the door burst open and there stood Jordan and Hawke with massive grins on their faces. Holly and Cheyenne were not far behind. "I see everyone found each other." Cheyenne smiled. Jordan sneaked an arm around his very pregnant wife. "We'll give you some priva . . ." Jordan started, but Reilly interrupted him. Jake almost sputtered when Reilly started speaking. "Not so fast Colt. What the fuck is the meaning of this?" Jake stared at Reilly opened-mouthed. Not quite used to hearing or seeing Reilly in "agent" mode. Everyone was quiet, sharing their attention between Reilly and Jordan. Reilly's blue eyes turned to ice. He seemed to grow taller in Jake's eyes. An unsuspecting wave of lust swept through Jake as he thought of the possibilities of Reilly commanding him. Of Reilly taking charge, pressing his body in to Jake's. An involuntary shudder went through him. Suddenly Jake realized where he was. He also noticed his hand slowly stroking Reilly's lower back and he was more than aware of the raging hard-on that pressed against Reilly's hip. Reilly, however, was oblivious. Reilly's fists were clenched. His jaw was set. His eyes shot sparks at Jordan and Hawke. Jake saw the suspicion and anger in Reilly's stance. "Rei, babe, relax." Jake whispered in Reilly's ear. He tried working his hand into Reilly's, but his fingers where clenched so tight he couldn't move or open them. "Reilly, loosen your fingers." When Jake's words still didn't penetrate Reilly's conscious, he slipped his hand underneath Reilly's chin and, using as much strength as he could without hurting Reilly, he forced Reilly to face towards him. "Angel." Jake whispered the word so only Reilly could hear. He felt Reilly's body relax against his. Reilly relaxed his hand and reached up to caress Jake's face. "Thank you," he whispered, closed his eyes and rested his forehead against Jake's lips. Jake slipped his arms around Reilly's waist and motioned to Jordan that they'd like some time alone. "I'll speak with you guys later." Jordan said, understanding in his eyes as he carefully led Cheyenne from the room. When the door softly closed behind him only Heath and Jos remained. Jos had tears in her eyes. She knew her brother was capable of tenderness, but the love that shone in his eyes for Reilly blew her away. She finally understood how two men could love one another with complete passion and honesty. She saw it in how Jake and Reilly were holding each other. Jos heard whispering and realized Jake and Reilly were having a hushed conversation. Finally Reilly lifted his head away from Jake and looked over his shoulder at Jos and Heath. He loosened himself from Jake's embrace and walked over to where they were standing. Heath stepped forward thinking, "This is it, he's gonna go ballistic." To Heath's surprise Reilly stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Heath. Heath who stood frozen for about two seconds and then crushed Reilly against his chest. "Heath." It was a muffled groan from Reilly. "Oh God, tell me this isn't a dream." "It's not Ray-Ray." Heath whispered. When Reilly heard his childhood nickname from Heath's lips he broke down and started crying. Heath turned tortured eyes to Jos and Jake, but they stayed away knowing that the two brothers needed this time together. Heath started rubbing soothing circles on Reilly's back. Holding onto him until neither of them could breathe. Then they finally let go, but still stayed close together. "I think…" Jake started, but Reilly finished. "We need to get out of here and talk." Everyone seemed to agree. Jake walked over to Reilly still standing close to Heath. "Can I trust you enough to leave my sister and my love in you care, while I go explain things to Jordan and Hawke?" Heath just nodded and Jake turned to leave, trailing his fingers down Reilly's back as he left. When Jake had left the room Heath turned back to Reilly and asked, "His love?" Reilly blushed. Heath laughed at the expression on Reilly's face. "Oh God bro, you got it bad." He grabbed Reilly by the arm and pulled him into another tight squeeze. Heath finally let go and stepped towards Jos. "C'mere." He held out a hand to her and she rushed into his arms. *** Being at home wasn't easy for Jake. Three months ago it had been him. Then came Reilly. Sweet, wonderful, Reilly. Goddamn sexy, driving me insane with crazy lust, Reilly. He still had six weeks of solitude before Reilly finally came home with him and just three days after his sex-life had taken a serious nose-dive, for reasons he still didn't understand. Now, three weeks after six very long weeks of searching he was sharing his personal space with not one but three people. Reilly didn't mind the whole crazy lust thing, remember? Jos was so much an extension of himself that he had gotten used to sharing a house with her within the first three hours after the novelty of having her back wore off basically. Heath Hunt was another matter. Jake felt like Heath was following him around. Every time he tried to initiate 'the talk' with Reilly, he was there asking annoying, inane questions that made Reilly remember things from their childhood. Reilly would melt and excuse himself from Jake and slink off with Heath to reflect on all the things they got up whilst growing up. What pissed him off even more is that Heath refused to talk about what happened. Where he'd been. Why his whole family thought him dead. As if that wasn't enough, Jake couldn't get near Reilly. Every time he turned around Heath was in his face, making damn sure Reilly and Jake were spending some quality time -- apart that is. Starkers. Stark fucking raving, criminally, shooting up a mall, running around naked at a Red Sox game, selling the brother of the man you're in love with into slavery to a pasha for a sex toy, raving mad. Jake fumed. Did pashas still even exist? Jake suddenly wondered. Fuck if he knew! He went back to brooding. He was sitting at the kitchen table still nursing the beer Reilly had handed him after dinner. Reilly was standing in the kitchen doorway looking at Jake. He still couldn't quite believe how the hell he'd gotten so lucky to be allowed to love Jake. He also knew about the stark raving mad thing, because in a lot of ways he and Jake were similar and by now he must be ready to start shooting people. That's why he got rid of his brother. Reilly quietly spent the whole day setting things up. Jake and Jos were out of the way at Jos's apartment, with dire words of bodily harm and torture if they came back until he called them to say things were okay. He could still remember the argument he and Heath had last night. *** "No way. I'm not leaving you," Heath burst out when Reilly told him it was time he and Jos left. Jos stood to one side listening to the argument not saying anything. She knew why Reilly wanted them to go and quite frankly she couldn't blame him. Keeping his anger in check he asked. "Why?" "How will I keep you safe if I'm not here?" Heath wanted to know. "I don't need saving, I'm perfectly safe with Jake. I'm an agent with the International Intelligence Agency for God's sake. A special agent; I can take care of myself." Reilly clenched his fists to keep from shaking Heath. "I . . . " Heath started, but Jos beat him to it. "We'll be gone in the morning Rei. No worries." Reilly breathed in a staggering breath and turned away from his brother before he snapped. Before he reached the door he heard Heath's voice. "I just found you, I can't lose you again." "Fuck sakes, Heath. I'm not asking you to move to another country, I'm asking you to move across town. Jake and I, we have some things we need to talk about. Stuff we can't do whilst you and Jos are here. I'm sorry to have to do this, but when I moved in here with Jake, he said this was my house now too. So I'm done asking nicely. I'm telling you, leave tomorrow. This is my house and you are no longer welcome here." Jos saw the pain and hurt in Reilly's eyes at having to throw his brother out, but understood why. Jake spoke to her this morning when Reilly and Heath had disappeared and confessed that he was afraid of losing Reilly to Heath. "As silly as that sounds, I can't help feeling like it's true. I don't even get to tell him I love him. I don't get to kiss him goodnight or good morning. Every time I do, Heath walks in and Reilly jumps up and goes to him like he's ashamed of being seen with me. Ever since we all met up at Jordan's he hasn't said he loved me. He doesn't sleep next to me anymore. He doesn't even sit next to me. When he looks at me, it's with indifference and it's killing me." Jake went silent after that and just dropped his head into his hands and sat looking lost and forlorn. Jos didn't know what to say to him so she did the one thing she could, she wrapped her arms around her brother and cried all the tears that he refused himself. When she had looked up she caught a glimpse of a shadow moving away from the door and knew either Heath or Reilly had stood listening to her and Jake talking. She wasn't sure which of them it was until Reilly asked both her and Heath to join him in Jake's study\library to ask them to leave. She watched Reilly leave and turned to Heath. "You're an asshole Hunt." She saw Heath wanted to respond but cut him off with a raised hand. "Go pack, before I hit you. Can't you see that they love one another and need time to sort their own shit out? I've known from day one that you were stubborn but I never thought you were stupid. We're leaving tomorrow. You're welcome to stay at my place. If you don't want to, that's okay too, but come tomorrow you and I are leaving, end of story!" Jos left the room after that little speech and Heath started packing. They were gone the next day, right after supper, without saying goodbye to either Jake or Reilly. *** Reilly pushed away from the doorway and came to stand behind Jake and rested his hands on Jake's shoulders. He could feel the tension in Jake's shoulders and gently squeezed the muscles. Reilly was afraid that their conversation might make things worse instead of bringing them closer, but he owed Jake at least that. He owed his man that he'd come to love with all his heart the truth. "Do you need me for something?" Jake finally broke the silence. That's when realized he hadn't seen Heath or Jos for the last couple of hours, but before he could ask Reilly said, "Jos and Heath went to Jos's apartment. She'll be safe there. Jordan lives in the same building. I already spoke to him. You and me, we've got some things to discuss." Reilly stepped away from Jake. He grabbed two bottles of mineral water from the fridge and sat down at the kitchen table opposite him. He offered him a bottle of water. Jake took the water with a murmured 'thanks' and set it down next to his beer. Reilly fiddled with the label on the bottle but didn't open it. He took a deep breath and finally started to speak. "I'd like to tell you a story. It may take a while and it may not make sense, but I need to get through it without interruptions." Reilly lifted his gaze to Jake's and saw Jake nodding. Reilly took a deep breath once again, knowing it wasn't going to get any easier so he started where he guessed everyone starts; at the beginning. "Three weeks after I turned twenty five I went to a club called vortex in Los Angeles. I didn't know anyone in the city so I was by myself. Anyway, cutting out the dancing and the drinking -- that's the night I met Scott." Reilly didn't even look up to see if Jake registered the name. "When Scott came up to me on the dance floor, we danced. Just sort of bumping and grinding, I had my shirt off by then and Scott kept touching me. To say I didn't enjoy it would be a lie, so I won't. After about four songs, he suddenly turned and disappeared into the crowd. Maybe he only wanted one dance partner? Maybe I wasn't hot enough? Who knows? About half an hour later I was getting ready to leave, I didn't notice him anywhere so I just left. I took two steps away from the exit when I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was Scott standing in the shadows. I smiled up at him thinking 'JACKPOT'!" Reilly opened the bottle of water but didn't take a sip. He didn't drink, just stared. Jake kept quiet, remembering his silent vow to keep silent. He didn't want to interrupt as this was the first time Reilly volunteered information. Quietly Reilly started to speak again. "I wished I knew then what I know now. I didn't realize then that the man I was ogling outside of one of L.A.'s biggest gay clubs was a sick fuck. He didn't say anything, just took my hand and pulled me into the shadows with him. I went willingly and we started making out. After what seemed forever to me he whispered in my ear. 'You want to get out of here?' I nodded yes and we left. "I'm not going into details of our relationship, but things were good for a while. About two months after we started dating I moved in with him. We were the perfect gay couple. I loved him and I believed he loved me. I was flying a desk at the agency because Scott said he didn't want me in any danger. I thought it was sweet, little did I know he didn't want me in any danger except from him." Reilly hissed in a breath and finally lifted the now tepid water to his lips and sucked down half the bottle in one go. Then he continued. "It was a Friday, I came home from work and Scott was waiting for me. It was the anniversary of our first year together. Scott whispered he had a surprise for me. I was giddy with love and lust. He stripped me and led me to the shower, washing every inch of my body both inside and out. It was then that I remembered my promise to him. On our first anniversary he could fuck me, before that, there was never any penetration between us. We've had sex in every way but one. I was primed, ready to do anything to keep this beautiful man with me. He led me to our bedroom and dried me off. He laid me on the bed and gave me a glass of champagne. 'To relax you' he said. I downed the glass and that's where things get a little blurry. When I woke up again, I tried to move but my head was thick. I knew what that meant. Someone drugged me, my first thought after that was Scott and I called out for him. I was worried. Again I tried to move, but that was when I realized I was tied to the bed. Wrists and ankles, spread-eagle with no way of getting undone. "I strained and cried out again for Scott, fearing something had happened to him. That's when I heard the laughing and saw the man stepping out of the bathroom. Naked as the day he was born, he looked like a pro wrestler. Big, fucking huge, tattoo's covering his huge pectorals. I didn't know what to think, I didn't know where Scott was and suddenly I felt fear. The same fear I felt when going through profiler training. Torture, pain and a lifetime of self-hatred; images I didn't know I possessed went through my head like previews of a horror movie. "The guy laughed his ass off at me and suddenly called over his shoulder. 'You guys gotta come see this, I think he's gonna shit himself.' I suddenly knew my nightmare had worsened. Three men, all approximately the same size as the first guy walked out of the bathroom. I knew what was happening and resigned myself to it. My only regret was that I was unable to save Scott from them. "They laughed and joked like nothing was amiss. Then it suddenly got quiet when a fifth man walked out of the bathroom, the four guys parting like the red sea. There at the foot of the bed stood my beloved Scott, my beautiful lover. I cried then, knowing he was okay. "When my tears cleared I noticed a difference in him. This wasn't my Scott, this was someone else, someone that looked at me not with love but with possession. I suddenly felt very naked under his gaze. There was shame mixed in with my emotions. I tried to speak, to ask him to untie me. That's when the laughter came, laughter that made my skin crawl. It still hurts thinking about the things they did to me. "Scott was first, of course he had to be, he had put up with me for a year. He took me there in front of the others. Dry, with no lubrication to ease his way. I didn't scream. I was proud of myself that I didn't, proud that I didn't give him the satisfaction. When he was almost done he pulled out and called one of the guys over and motioned him to jerk him off. He jerked Scott's cock until he came over my tied up body. He smiled at me, that beautiful smile that I now thought ugly and nodded at the guys." New York Agent Ch. 04 Reilly's breathing had become rugged and he drained the rest of the water with one gulp. Jake uncapped the bottle standing next his beer and pushed it across the table at Reilly. Reilly took it without acknowledgement. He held it his hands. He dragged in a breath and resumed speaking in a voice that sounded like sandpaper. "Frank was after him, the tattoo guy. I didn't want to look, but couldn't help myself and saw one of the biggest cocks of my life. He must have been about eleven inches long and two and a half inches wide. And he split my ass open with is huge dick. I did scream then, I couldn't help it. I guess at that point I was grateful that he tore my ass open and that the blood from my ass eased his way, but not by much. He also pulled out and came a torrent of come over my body. That's when I realized their plan. They didn't want my ass lubricated, therefore their cum was spent over my body instead of inside. "I endured twelve fuckings between the five of them, three of those from Scott. After what felt like a lifetime, they were finally spent and left the room and left me to bleed on the bed. After about ten minutes Clyde walked into the room, he'd only fucked me once. He was also huge like the other, but had the smallest cock. I now knew why the others left. Clyde was worse than all of them put together. He took a whip to me then, beating me severely. It seems he wanted something from me, something I was unwilling to give. He wanted me to orgasm. He took my flaccid cock in his hand and started pumping, but I was passed the point of any pleasure, so he took another route. He took the handle end of the whip and stuck it up my ass. "His dick was too small to reach my prize, he knew it. He wriggled the whip around until he saw my cock respond. He'd found my prostate and worked it over. He knew if he stimulated me enough I would come and he was relentless, prodding and rubbing my prostate with the whip handle and stroking my cock with the other." Again Reilly drank water. His voice was soft and gravely. Jake sat and stared at his downturned head with tears streaming unchecked down his face. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. That someone would want to hurt is beautiful angel. "When I finally came, after what felt like a lifetime, he laughed and left the room and they left me alone. I could hear them in the den, joking, laughing and drinking. That's when the shame came; shame that I could have enjoyed something so depraved as five men raping and beating me. Shame that I came when that monster was fondling me. At some point my training and survival instinct took over and I tried to get free. I somehow managed to get one of my wrists loose. To this day I don't know how. I must have had an angel watching over me. I could reach far enough for my cell phone lying on the bedside table. I called Jack Foster. I worked with him in L.A. He was the only one that knew I was gay. I couldn't explain, I just sobbed and said 'Scott hurt me, I'm tied up and there are four others, please come, please come now, bring everyone.' "I cried softly and guess I must have fallen into an exhausted unconsciousness because when I woke I was free and Jack was holding me, murmuring everything would be okay. I started sobbing again and that's when I heard Heath's voice. Jack had called him. When he saw me he let out a cry of rage and gathered me up in his arms and carried me out of that place and to a waiting EMT van. Scott and his buddies were taken into custody. I testified at their trial and that were found guilty of rape and assault and possession of narcotics." Jake couldn't take anymore. He silently got up and walked to the sink, turned on the tap and splashed cold water on his face. When he turned around Reilly was looking at him. He didn't recognize the person looking back at him. His sweet angel was gone and in his place sat a defeated man, ashamed that he had to share this secret. Reilly saw the look Jake gave him and his hopes and dreams sunk lower than the floor. He knew it was a risk telling Jake what had happened and why he had intimacy issues. He looked away from Jake, pushed away from the table and quickly walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs to his bedroom. He sat at the edge of the bed and waited for the tears to come, but before his first tear was down his cheek Jake was next him, scooping him into his arms and carrying him through the door and into his own bedroom. Jake set Reilly down gently on his bed and pressed a soft kiss to his forehead. Reilly sighed when Jake's hands gently began removing his clothes until only his boxers remained. Jake left Reilly then and went into the bathroom and returned a few minutes later with a soft dampened wash cloth, a glass of water and a bottle of aspirin. He shook out three tablets into his palm and passed them to Reilly along with the water. Reilly quickly downed the pills and the water and handed the glass back to Jake. Jake placed it on the floor and sat on the edge of the bed. He then wiped down Reilly's flushed skin with the wet cloth. After he was done he went back to the bathroom, taking the cloth and the glass with him. When he returned he was also stripped to his boxers. He stood looking at Reilly and whispered his first words he said in an hour. "Do you need to use the bathroom?" Reilly silently nodded and Jake whispered, "go". When Reilly returned from the bathroom, Jake's bedroom was dark with music playing. Reilly wasn't sure what to do. Then he heard Jake's voice from the bed. "Come to bed." When Reilly walked over and saw Jake's outline in the bed, he got in next to him and felt Jake pull him closer and heard a whisper. "Listen." Looking back I clearly see . . . What it is that's killing me . . . Through the eyes of one I know . . . I see a vision once let go . . . I had it all . . . Constantly it burdens me . . . Hard to trust and can't believe . . . Lost the faith and lost the love . . . When the day is done . . . Will they open their eyes . . . And realize we are one . . . On and on we stand alone . . . Until our day has come . . . When they open their eyes . . . And realize we are one . . . "Rei . . .?" Jake whispered. Reilly didn't answer. He was crying against Jake's shoulder. Knowing instinctively what Jake was trying to say. 'I know our day will come' was the line from the song and said it all. 'And realized we are one' made it absolutely clear. "This is our day, it's finally come, Angel. From today we are one and no one will change that. I know I may not always be at your side, but I'll never hurt you, I'll always do my best to protect you. This is our time now baby." Jake cuddled himself against Reilly's back, spooning him, his arms wrapped tightly around the man he loved. Then he said something else. "I understand better now why you were upset a few weeks ago and I don't blame you. I'm sorry if I brought back ugly memories for you Angel. I'm sorry that I hurt you. Thank you for trusting me enough with your fears and your past. You're a truly remarkable person Reilly McCormack and I love you with all my heart and truly feel that I was put on earth to love you." Reilly turned in Jake's arms and wrapped his arms around him. He leaned slightly forward and softly kissed Jake's soft lips. He didn't move away, he spoke against Jake's lips. "Thanks for all you've done. I've missed you. You still live in me, you have from the moment I met you. I feel you in the wind, I feel like you guide me constantly. You were always there waiting and I missed your face smiling down on me. I caught myself closing my eyes to see it." Reilly pressed another sweet chaste kiss against Jake's lips before continuing. "You're a part of me and your song set me free. You were as kind as you could be and you still mean the world to me. I never knew what it was to be loved. You were always there for me, you were always there waiting. I'm glad I was able to tell you so I could set us both free from sorrow. I'll still love you more tomorrow and I know you will be here with me still when tomorrow comes. That song that you made me listen to, that's our song and it's our song that sets me free. I'll sing it when I feel I can't hold on. I'll sing it tonight because it comforts me. You comfort me." Reilly sighed against Jake. Jake squeezed Reilly and replied, his voice thick. "You're not alone, Angel. I'll live with your memories and regret I couldn't save you back then. Darker days seem to be what will always live in me, but Reilly, this is my true freedom. I hope you'll find some peace today. Be awake to the fact that there's no going back, back to the world in which you were living. All my life I've waited. Endless days. Years have gone by and I felt broken. You have fixed me. You've taken my life in your hands and set me to soar. Let's leave the past unspoken. Let those years no longer haunt you. Are you ready for me? Are you ready to be mine?" Jake held his breath while he waited for Reilly to respond. "Forever," was Reilly's one-word reply. Jake gathered Reilly close, knowing instinctively that he needed to be held. Reilly drifted, his face pressed to Jake's chest, their arms wrapped around each other and their legs intertwined. Reilly mumbled, fighting sleep. "Let go, my love. I've got you and I'll never let you go. I love you, Angel," Jake whispered into Reilly's sweet-smelling hair. "Love you to, Kitten." Jake chuckled softly upon hearing the endearment from Reilly lips, knowing he referred to Jake's eyes. He told Jake the reasoning behind that statement once; "Your eyes remind me of a little kitten, naughty." "Sleep Angel, you're safe." Then all was quiet as Reilly and Jake slept, safe, in each other's arms.
