Exhaustion had taken hold of him after his dreadful experience, and the sudden loud noise made him jump out of his skin. His eyes snapped opened and warily moved as the door was already open for him and he was helped out of the car. Theo's initial reaction was to push Andy away as he touched him. "I'm alright!" He snapped grouchily, pulling his arm from Andy's grip and putting a bit of distance between them. Smiling sympathetically, but shocked. He had never heard Theo raise his voice like that, not to him at least, and he felt guilty that he had been the one to push him into going through with the drop, and the suffering that had resulted. Well, from what he had gathered, just a good hiding. The questions burned his tongue as he wanted to know why he had been beaten up, and why the bag he held still bulged with stuff? Instead, he silently followed him up the steps; the least he could do was make sure he was home safe and sound. Cal might not be home yet to look after him. He was still shaking as he pulled the key from his inside pocket, fumbling with the lock and unable to get his brain functioning enough to open the damn door. Finally, Andy took it from him and opened it easily, both stepping into the flat finding the room empty. No Cal wasn't home yet. Moving to the cabinet in the corner, Theo took out a glass and slammed it down, grabbing a bottle of bourbon and pouring himself a rather large measure. He downed it in one, sighing as the amber liquid soothed his pain. He repeated the process, but caught sight of the other man as he brought it to his lips. Andy was standing, staring at him with an expectant expression written on his face, clearly waiting for some answers. He just shook his head and downed another. Just then the door opened drawing both men's attention. Cal stood keys in hand with a concerned yet masterful expression on his face as the first person to catch his eyes was his lover, empty glass in hand. His face twisted in horror as he noticed the bruises on his cheekbones, the line of blood trailing down his neck, and his cut lip. Tossing his empty bag on the table he moved closer, examining him carefully, and then shooting a look at Andy. "I found him crouched on the ground outside in the street like this." "Really!" Cal raised an eyebrow. "What the fuck happened?" He looked at Theo again, who was busy draining his third glass. "He hasn't told me, he refuses to say anything." "Angel?" Stepping closer, his face seemed cold and devoid of any emotion. "What did they do to you? Oh god my... precious precious angel." Eyes fell, his lip trembling as he allowed him to slip the sunglasses from his face, revealing his beautiful eyes, tearful and glazed. "He wanted..." He took a sharp breath to stop himself from sobbing. "...He wanted pure." "What?" He belted out sitting down hard on the chair next to him. "He wanted pure Coke, not the stuff already mixed." "I don't understand... He never stated that, just what..." Andy frowned in confusion. "...No Andy." Theo turned sharply to face him. "You don't, do you?" He started to breathe hard, unable to control the panic surging through him. "But... They... they hurt you? Jesus." Cal wrapped an arm around his shoulders as he broke down, tears falling hard and fast. Holding him and comforted him, letting his shirt get soaked by the grief. Andy backed up towards the door. "I'll leave you to it" He said solemnly, opening it then giving the pair one last look before he left. "Thanks for bringing him home Andy." Was the reply before he closed it. He immediately turned his attention back to his boyfriend still trembling in his arms. "I tried calling your phone was off. You worried the shit out of me. I asked Joe but he said that you didn't need a pick up and that you would meet me in Soho." "My battery must have died." He sniffed, taking the phone from his pocket and throwing it on the table. "I looked after I left, but you'd never called me or nothing, and I thought you would have but you didn't, and they... they..." he became hysterical again. "Here." He handed him a cigarette, lighting it for him and giving him a moment to take a large puff and calm down a little before he said any more. He settled him back against the couch cushions, getting him comfortable, and then sitting next to him. "Will you tell me what actually happened? Take your time." Inhaling then blew out the smoke he slowly started to speak. "He's a complete psycho; he was in power the whole time. I was so far out of my depth, how could you have left me with that monster?" "What did he do to you? Why?" "He wasn't happy with the gear." He took a large drag again, eyes focusing on a speck of dirt on the floor. "T-old me it wasn't what he wanted... pure was what he asked for. He has his own trade, much bigger than ours apparently." He looked up into his lovers eyes for a second, trying to avoid the certain question. "He... threw the bag at me practically, told me that he never wanted to see my face in his club again, and if he did he'd..." He sighed with a shiver. "Practically..." "...He beat you cos he wasn't happy with the stuff?" Again he tried to ignore the question, but Calvin was pushing for more information. "Basically." "You didn't provoke him? Argue? Say something stupid?" "No, of course I didn't! What do you take me for? I didn't want to do this fucking job in the first place!" He scowled. "Ok ok, so he beat you for no reason?" He wished he would drop it, stop interrogating him, but he wouldn't stop until he had had the full SP. "It was his fucking fault." Theo now pointed to the door accusing the man who had been standing there a few moments before. "He was the one who told him that he was sending the 'pretty blonde,' he was the reason why I got my ass kicked, his fault that... he... treated me like his many whores that work at the club, exposed like a piece of meat for men to get their kicks out of." He bit his lip, knowing he had already said enough as he watched Cal's eyes widen, the penny dropping. "No..." Shaking his head, not believing what he was hearing. "...Yes Calvin. He didn't only beat the crap out of me..." The words soured on his tongue, bitter and nasty. "R..a ... me, kicked me, punched me, and I couldn't do anything to prevent it. He had a knife." "No... no, fuck no." Cal clasped his eyes shut and clenched his fists in his dark shoulder length hair. "Yes." Theo stubbed out the cigarette and stood to pour another drink, wincing as his chest hurt with the movement, rubbing it with his hand. "FUCK!!!" Calvin spat, standing up quickly and pacing across the room, kicking a stool in the process. Theo just stood and stared through him, coldly drinking another Jacks. "Reckon you've toughened me up then? I'd say after that I'm pretty fucking done alright." He spluttered bitterly. Cal skipped over and held his lover, turning him around and searching the eyes that were firmly staring down at his feet. Taking his hand and lifted his chin, sadly gazing into the eyes that had flicked up to greet his own under the curtain of hair and damp long lashes. "We never should have gone through with it, never agreed that you could do this on your own. I never fucking should have left you alone. I should have been there, with you. Fuck! I would have kicked his ass." He snarled gritting his teeth in anger. "He was powerful; well he had powerful companions bodyguards, contacts. We're no match for him." "No Theo..." "...You know what else he said?" His eyes softened. "He said that he wasn't prepared to pay for what 'I'd brought, but he said it was worth every penny fucking the ..." He panted as he pushed the words that stuck in his throat like a sharp stick. "...Fucking me," His voiced died, and he closed his eyes, ashamed. "In not so many words" Now feeling the cruel claws of regret, guilt; rage and hurt squeeze his heart. He couldn't believe what he was hearing and yet just last night he had told him he would kill anyone that ever hurt him. There was nothing he could do, he couldn't press charges or sort him out, no. It was dangerous game they played, one in which sometimes you have to turn a blind eye, and especially knowing you could end up dead at the end of it. "He even threw a fifty quid note at me. I felt humiliated and so cheap." "Come on," He said softly, stroking the fair feral strands. "I'll run you a bath, and tonight we can have a bottle of wine with a film, and maybe a takeaway yeah? Just you and me." He had to fight the urge to go out and just punch any random male who stepped in his way, boiling with so much anger, but he knew he had to keep cool for Theo's sake. "Yes I'd like that. Thanks" "Take off that shirt and I'll get it in to soak before it stains." Going to the bathroom and turned on the taps, sticking in the plug, his knees suddenly gave out and he slipped to the floor, rubbing his face vigorously. "Fuck, fuck fuck!" He forgot time as he sat there deep in thought, feeling his stomach knot, his heart strain for his angel's anguish. The bath was almost full as he came back from his daydream or day nightmares. Standing up, he poured in the bubble bath, turned off the water and then walked to the bedroom. Theo stood in just his trousers and Cal's eyes roamed over his torso, staring in horror at what he saw. The pale, perfect body tainted in blues and purples around his ribs and arms. "Jesus!" He gasped not really knowing the extent of the injuries until now, having only seen those which were visible on his face. "Stay there, I'll get some ice on that." With that he rushed to the freezer and pulled out a bag of pre- packed ice, quickly returning to his lover who was sat on the bed clearly in pain as he held his chest. "This might be a bit cold." He warned, placing the bag on the bruises. Theo jumped and squealed as the icy feeling shocked him. Then the pain numbed, the cooling helping bring the swelling down. "I feel like shit, I really do. Never again will I let you out of my sight," dabbing the skin. But Theo remained quiet. "I mean it; this was one big fuck up that is not to be repeated." His lover now looked at him. "I don't know about Andy anymore." He confessed, bringing the nusing to a stop with a surprised look on his face. "What do you mean?" "I don't know... It's almost, like he has a hold over us somehow, like we're his puppets." Cal let out a low gruff sigh. "He has helped us out, and if it wasn't for him we would be broke and living in cardboard city." "Exactly." "I understand where you are coming from, but this is good, we have the comfortable life here..." "...Oh, so you are on his side then?" "No, it was just a glitch. Oh baby, I really wish this never happened. I hate him for what he has done to you, but I feel just as helpless. If it helps I'll get Andy to have a word ok, tell him that we will never do business with this Kermit again." He brushed his cheek with his fingertips as Theo shuddered at his name. He then sighed and stood up, and without looking back he moved to the bathroom, shutting the door behind him. Cal was left feeling awful, picking up the shirt and looked at the bloodstain, kicking himself hard inwardly at this complete fuck up. He also knew Theo was right. Calvin was fussing about like some house wife wanting to please her husband, scrubbing out the stain hard, letting his anger out with the movement. Finally the red turned yellow and he was happy that it would now wash out. The water was a dirty murky brown as he squeezed out the remaining drips, his stomach turning, leaving him feeling nauseous. He pulled the plug and watched it drain away, sticking it in the laundry bag and ready to take down to the utility area located at the back downstairs, just by the door that led to the small communal garden. He still had to go and get some wine, but hated the thought of leaving Theo alone. He walked to the bathroom hearing the tiny trickles echo off the walls as he bathed. "Babe, are you ok?" "Yeah." he answered weakly. "Look I need to go the laundry room and then the shop for wine, will you be ok here?" He went silent. "Theo?" "Don't leave me." He said with small plea. "I have to the wine won't wont come to us will it, unless you want to come..." "...NO!" He said quickly, fear evident in his voice as the anxiety and shock gripped him in the aftermath of the attack. "I can't go out I can't face anyone, not now not ever." He leaned on the door and bowed his head knowing this was going to be a problem. "I won't be long, I promise. I will take my phone so you can call me anytime ok?" "Don't leave me!" "Oh fuck." He muttered under his breath. "Ok, you want me to call Andy?" "NO!" Came the instant brash reply. "Well what can I do? I have go out and I know you have had a shock, but I promise I will be no more than ten minutes ok?" It went quiet again. "THEO?" He was getting irritated now. "Ok," sighed. "Ok what?" "Go, but I am not leaving this bathroom until you come back!" "Good, I promise I won't long be long, ok?" It went silent again, walking away, rubbing at the stress-induced ache in his temples. He grabbed the laundry bag, his wallet, keys and phone, and walked out the door swearing to himself that he wouldn't be long. * * * Andy sat in his armchair glass of brandy in his hand, listening to some soft music. He felt bad for his associate but as a professional he couldn't let this effect him or any future work. Ok so it was a mighty cock up yes, but still! The phone buzzed on the table; his work phone, only used for business. He picked it up and pressed the key to read the message, smiling as he read through. 'Mr K. He enjoyed the blonde, but you failed to bring Mr K the right stuff. We will not tolerate this. Come near the Club Noir again and you will face the consequences Management of Club Noir.' "So what, we screwed up mate, no skin off my nose," He chuckled and put down the phone. Something dawned on him and he frowned. "What did he mean by enjoyed the blonde?" He picked up the phone again and dialled, listening to it ring only a few times before it was answered. "Al... Yes, it is me. I think it's time." * * * The watern was becoming cold, he hadn't heard Cal return, but he was freezing. He knew he could just top up the hot water but his anxiety grew as his boyfriend was longer than expected. He decided to get out, wrapping a towel around his waist and drained the water. Padding to the bedroom he dressed, finding a baggy jumper and some loose track trousers. Cal was still out as he came into the lounge. He felt panic overtake him. He hated being alone, and rarely was as he never really left his side. He twiddled his thumbs; playing with his hair and shooting expectant glances at the door every few seconds. The phone rang and his heart leapt from his chest. He froze, cowering on the sofa, scared stiff of just a simple ring of the phone. He didn't want to answer it, didn't want to talk to anyone; didn't want to be in existence in this cruel world. He panicked, panting and trembling. Finally the man entered the room looking at the terrified huddled form, and hearing the high pitched tune of their home phone. He dropped the bottles on the worktop and came running over. "It's only Andrew." He said, looking at the caller display as he watched Theo's eyes widen in utter terror. "Don't tell him please don't tell him I was..." He waved him down as he picked up the receiver. "Andy, what's up?" he answered coldly. "I just wanted to see how Theo was," looked over as the man in question got himself under control. "He's not great, a little jumpy and well, you know." He flicked his long hair and shrugged, even though he knew Andy wouldn't be able to see the gesture. "I'm sorry this all went wrong, I was so sure that I had my facts right." "Damn right! You fucked up! It's your job to make sure things are secure." "Speaking of which, I received a text from them about ten minutes ago." Andy continued, ignoring his rant. "Oh?" He now turned around and walked to the kitchenette, away from the victim whom he didn't want to traumatise any more just by speaking about them. Andrew told him the message and Cal sighed, yeah pretty much exactly what he had told him. But Andy had to say it. He had to ask, just get in. "What did he mean by he enjoyed the blonde?" "Oh.... I really... dunno Andy, I guess he liked the way he looked. Come on you know what happened, give him a break yeah!" He looked over as he was listening and shook his head frantically. He frowned as he wanted to know what they were talking about, not liking being shut out like a child. "Well, one contact we can do without anyway. Sod- em, rather not get involved with thugs like that." . "You want me to call round?" "No, Theo and I are going to have an easy night. Cheers anyway." "Ok, take care of him for me." He frowned, and then said his goodbyes, about to hang up when Andy cut in. "Vin! I have someone that would like to meet you." "Oh?" flicked his eyes over to the side and started to unpack the bottles. "But... you alone, don't bring Theo." "Why? He's our partner, why should he be left out?" Theo was leaning forward, flicking through the TV channels. Luckily he hadn't heard anything over the noise of clanging bottles. "It's just delicate, with what he has gone through." "Delicate? Oh no, no Andy, no way are we dealing them again!" He now threw a look at the man on the phone when he raised his voice. "It was you who told him to toughen up, to do this job that ended up getting him..." He had to stop himself before he spilled any more information. "Look whoever has to see me sees both; it's in the contract right? Anyway, since when have you had his interest at heart?" He growled lowly, purposely making a noise by taking two glasses from the rack. He knew Andy had a soft spot for his boyfriend and was starting to get annoyed by him trying to muscling in on his affections. "It's not that simple Vin! This man he's... well he asked to meet you both, but with recent events it is better if you meet him alone. Do it for Theo, yeah?" Cal bit his lip and turned around. "Ok when where, what time and who?" "Mr Lorenzo. He's a new contact and safe I assure you. He has a rather large proposition for you. A fairly tempting one I would say. Oh yes and... location his Manor house Sussex." "Oh really? And why has this Lorenzo not been mentioned before?" "Because he also has a business in the hierarchy." He was lost for words but listened on. Luckily Theo had occupied himself with some of their private stash, and was now staring into space as he had already taken a fair amount. The residue white lines of dust clumsily scattered over the glass. "Ok, I will meet him, but anything happens and we are out! I will not have anymore hiccups Andy, it is becoming too dangerous." "I promise you Calvin, he will be sweet as a nut, and I will come round and occupy Theo." "He'd better be." He hung up brashly and breathed out, leaning on the work surface, and letting his hands support his weight. Theo was staring at the TV, not actually watching it though more like staring straight through it. Cal pulled the lids off the Chinese meal they had ordered and placed the opened foil containers on two plates, looking over at this zombie who was just glazed. Bringing it over to the table in front of the sofa where he was curled up, glacing over seeing that he hadn't even noticed the food had arrived. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 03 "Theo!" He said softly, but he was still gawking at the TV. He sighed and grabbed the remote, turning off . The addressed blinked and looked over at his lover with a light scowl. "I was watching that." "No you weren't." "Was," He sulked. "Ok, what was it about then?" He sat down and took the bottle of red wine off the table, and poured. "Um, some woman lost her husband and um... she..." He had to think, but he knew full well that after that scene he had completely lost the plot by just daydreaming. "How much of that have you had?" he asked as looked over to a small pouch lying innocently on the side table next to him; the white power still remained on the glass. "Enough to wipe out my entire memory" "Oh god, look I am truly sorry, I wish I could turn back time but I can't." "Thanks a lot." A sarcastic retort left his tongue, He handed him a full glass of wine and smiled sweetly, wrapping an arm around him cautiously. He didn't know whether he would freak at the contact after what happened to him, but leaned in and rested his head on the comforting shoulder, letting him rub his arm soothingly. "What did he want?" he asked, almost in resentment. "Oh just work, but let's not talk about that now eh? Let's just watch the film and enjoy our meal and wine." He was dreading bringing it up, dreading telling he was to go down to Sussex to meet this new bloke. Then hated the thought of his reaction when he had to tell him he was going to leave him for the day. That he couldn't come along, and that Andy had offered to stay in the flat and watch over him if he felt he couldn't be alone for that long. 'He will go mad. He will hate being left out, or thinking I or even Andy assumed he was not capable anymore, as if he needed babysitting. He'll feel so rejected.' He mused watching Theo idly twirling the fork in the noodles. It was going to be a tough one to approach. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 04 Two weeks went by, and the time came closer when he was due to meet Mr Lorenzor. This Thursday afternoon for this rather intriguing meeting. He still hadn't told Theo a single thing, and the weight was becoming heavier on his shoulders. He was becoming a hindrance to the business; not wanting to leave the flat or even be left alone, so it was up to Andy and Cal to carry out all the jobs at the moment singly, luckily trusted clients. He had some counselling, pretending it was a homophobic attack. The police almost getting involved, but managed to convince that it was much his fault than theirs as he provoked them. That these two imaginary guys started on Theo and he stood in. It's not uncommon for it to happen here anyway, so it was dropped. Before the big day, Andy and Cal managed to wheedle him out. The local club was having a karaoke night and knowing just how much he loved to sing, also thought it might help bring him out of his hysteria. It just so happened that the manager liked to dabble in a little white stuff every now and then, so Cal provided a little for him at a very low price and they got a few drinks on the house. Free drinks and Theo were a great combination. The problem was he had been drinking a little more than usual lately. It probably wasn't really a good idea to encourage him but it got him to step out of the enclosure and have a night out for a change. His two mates acting as bodyguards and assuring he will not come to harm. Trembling, Theo stopped at the doors, the bouncer well known by the three smiled at them and gave them a friendly wave. "Evening Cal, Andy, Tiny -T," He nodded, seeing Theo wrapped in a leather jacket, arms folded protectively around his body. God he fucking hated being called that! The bruises had faded a little but his grazed lip was still visibly dark with a healing scab, But asked no questions. "Evening Bazz," Cal chirped, London accent rich in his tone as he greeted his old school friend from back in the old days. A champion boxer and built like a brick shit house. "Not seen you here in a while." "Ah well, busy busy you know," he winked. Barry also knew their business, though he never touched the stuff. "Oh yes, good. No misbehaving here though," Banter in his tone he knew them well and Cal wasn't the type to go around just offering gear to anyone. He didn't even know that Trev, the manager liked a little sometimes. "Course not." He smiled widely. "Have a good evening Lads," Bazza replied, letting them jump the queue and pass through the doors. Once inside the club, they perched on the stools at the bar waiting to be served. The young, raven haired Greek looking barmaid greeted them with a warm smile. "Usual boys?" She asked as she rised to their familiar faces. "Yep, cheers Jani." Theo was fidgeting, tapping his feet nervously on the floor. Cal and Andy hadn't noticed that he was still apprehensive about coming out. They'd dismissed it like the normal routine. "You ok angel?" he whispered, seeing the worry in his face. "Yeah I think so." "You will be alright. Come on, drink this and just relax." Andy passed him the double vodka Jani had just finished pouring. He frowned at him as he clumsily clasped the cold glass, almost dropping it. How could he forget what had happened to him? But then he realized he didn't; Andy didn't know the full details, but still he was acting too casual about it all for his taste. "On the house, complements of management," she said as Cal wafted a twenty note under her nose. Of course he knew they would be, but he still wanted to be courteous. "Then have one yourself darlin," He charmed. "No thank you, not while on duty, but thanks anyway" She blushed and curved her rose-tinted lips into a flattered smile. " Ok ...Just a tomatoe juice then." "Trev about?" he then asked casually bobbing his head to the side. "Yeah he's just out back, I will let him know you're here." With that she called him, and the man in question soon appeared, a wide grin on his face, his arms open wide. "Calvin!" He called, moving through the hatch to embrace the dark haired man. "How are you? Nice to see you." "You too mate, yeah we're good." "Business?" "Never better" He saw the smaller guy wince slightly beside him. "Jesus Tiny-T, what have you been doing, fighting with the furniture again?" Trev laughed, stroking his dark moustache which was heavily peppered with grey, remembering the last time they where here. He'd gotten so drunk he wacked his head on the bar as he fell off the stool. The others didn't smile, and owner's face dropped when he noticed the solemn expressions. "A bit of trouble that's all. Nothing heavy just had a dodgy client." Andy cut in. Cal rolled his eyes. 'Big mouth.' Theo elbowed the redhead, then was intently glaring at him with dark eyes. He really didn't care for having his dirty laundry aired in public. Or again to be call that!! "Oh I am sorry," in remorse knowing that in that trade you had to expect a little trouble from time to time. Inside unsympathetic, just as long as he had a sample he really couldn't care less. Play with fire, you will get burnt right? "Oh well, no harm done, you still have your knee caps." He looked down at this now fuming man and giving him a little patronizing pinch on his cheek. That was it he saw red and the fire burned in his stomach, his eyes widened, mouth pouted, but before he said or did anything Cal was stood in front of him, holding his wrists tightly in a split second reaction. "You wanted something?" He asked Trev calming restraining Theo from behind seeking to distract him, chuckling low in his throat to indicate there was no trouble. "Yeah, you have some?" He whispered close to his ear. "Out the back?" Nodding discreetly moving a little and gesturing with his eyes for Andy to keep Theo under control. Before he could move, Andy's large hands replaced Cal's holding him from behind his back. As soon as the men disappeared out of the back door, he turned and glared hard up at him. "Behave," He hissed clenching his teeth. "Can't go starting a fight with the bloody manager, we will be barred for life and lose a customer." He gripped the smaller man harder who started whimper and struggled. The memory still raw as the pressure on his body brought it back. His breath started to quicken in panic and Andy let go, realizing what he was doing. Rubbing his wrists as the grip was released, written of disgust on his face. Andy's face flushed. He was out of order doing that, but it gave him a thrill seeing this sexy man struggle and whimper under his strength. To be honest he was becoming more and more pissed off with his behaviour over the last ten days. Stupid and weak for not dealing with what had happened. 'Toughen up Theo!' He had stressed after a little dispute the other day when they argued about holding up the profits. "Jesus... I'm... sorry." "Fucking Prick!!" Theo yelled letting the boiled anger bubble to the surface. "I'm so sorry. I..." "...No Andrew, you don't do you? You have no fucking idea!!" From the backroom and even over the music of the DJ, Cal could hear his boyfriend shouting. "You'd better keep him on a lead tonight Calvin, he causes any trouble then he is out." Trev stated sternly. "I'm sorry Trev, I will go see what's up." He coolly replied, hoping to defuse the issue. He had done the drop as quickly as he could and both men walked out innocently, returning to the bar where a very angry Theo was spitting at his colleague in fury, and very close to punching, with his fists clenched so tight they turned white. ."...Yeah fucking money is all you care about!" He barked. "Hey hey angel, sweetheart what's the problem?" Rubbing his shoulders and tapping his neck with kisses (that he knew was his weakness) as he still threw daggers at the taller man. He was already pretty tanked on the few drinks and a hit before he'd even left the flat. "He is my problem, thinking he can treat me like a bloody child!" "Shh." He soothed as Trev watched with intent, scowling warning. Cal just smiled at him and spun his man around, staring into his eyes hoping to impart some composure to him. "No it was my fault, I was a little heavy handed," Lowering his head in shame. In understanding, he flttened his lips knowing he was truly sorry. "Sorry Theo so insensitive of me." Andy held out his hand and he hesitated before reluctantly accepting the hand shake. "Drink?" He grinned, knowing how to soften him up. Theo's soured lips crept into a smile, blinking slowly in acceptance. Calvin exhaled hard returning to sit on the stool, nodding at Trevor who smiled back. Like a western brawl after the sherif had walked in. "Fuck sake." He grumbled under his breath, downing his Bourbon on the rocks in one large gulp. Two hours passed quickly and the club was soon packed with enthusiastic singers. Some pretty good some just plain bloody awful, but it was just entertainment and that was all the mattered at the end of the day. "I bet you can do better than him." Cal slurred over the crowd's cheers. His boyfriend was swaying a little, already forgetting the little disagreement. After several more drinks he'd lightened up with the distraction of a good night of entertainment. "Nah," He grinned. "No really, I bet you can! I have heard you sing in the shower, you have a voice of an angel." Fluttering his pretty dark eyelashes. "Piss off." His lover blushed with embarrassment, hunching his shoulders. "I never heard you sing, come on go up there. I'll even join if you want." "Oh no way Andrew. You want to clear the club with your cats strangling tones?" Cal laughed, swatting him. "Oi." Andy moaned. "I'll have you know I have been unfairly criticized about my voice. I actually can pull off a few good ones." "Spare us Andrew." Theo chuckled. "Last time you sang Sarah threw a cabbage at you in the kitchen." The loving couple burst into laughter. "Serenading her?" Holding his ribs in utter hysterics. "Ok. I will show you philistines." Andy snatched the book from the table they now sat at, four metres away from the stage and tried to concentrate on the artists and songs. With a triumphant "Aha!" he started to write, pulling the pad away as the other two tried to cop a look. He stood, smiled conceitedly, and handed it to the person in charge. When he sat he looked smug, the two exchanging humorous looks at each other. "Tell us then." "Nope." "Spoilsport" Theo huffed drinking a dreg from his nearly empty glass. "Not unless you do one." . "Go on, show him. Bet you a tenner you will be better than he is." nudging him with a shoulder. Theo grinned, it did sound like a good little idea. "Ok, done." He took the book and scanned through it. Cal and Andrew looked at each other seeing the difference. They knew he was feeling better, much more confident and had forgotten his troubles just for tonight. They were humouring him in a way, yes, but at least it took his mind off it all. He found what he wanted and stood to give it to the girl, only then starting to feel anxious again. There were at least five or six singers up before he was to be called. He was quite nervous although he was doing his best to make sure it wasn't showing. "Nervous Andy?" Theo pushed him with his arm, almost spilling his drink on his shirt. "No, just warming up!" "Yeah right, that is your third drink in ten minutes," Cal teased. "Why haven't you done one then?" That shut him up. "Ah well me, I'd rather keep my professional talents for the big venues." He choked, and laughed throwing his hair back "Bollocks." Andy croaked. "No go on, its only fair, me and Andy are doing it." "Yes but I bet you that Andy will be shit, I need to be the judge right? And I can't judge myself, be a little egotistical." Andy then made a snarky comment under his breath. "Yeah." "I can judge!" Theo jumped up, waving his hand. "Bias," Andy quipped. "Ok then, you judge." "How about we go on the crowd's cheers; the most cheers whistles, and claps wins?" Andy compromised. "Whoever wins gets a tenner from the losers." "Sounds great" "Hang on I didn't..." About to protest Cal had song chart was thrust under his nose. "Alright" He grumbled, snatching it from Andy. "So what you doing?" Theo asked. Pulling it away and beamed. "Wait and see." He pinched his nose between two fingers and tweaked affectionately. As Andy was called and did his number the couple were impressed "Fuck he's not bad." . "Yes, I wasn't expecting this, but I still know you can do better," His lover smiled at him and kissed him on the lips, wrapping an arm around him and pulling him closer. The crowd cheered and Andy bowed, grinning inanely and blowing kisses to the audience. "Ok Andy, don't get too carried away." A comment passed Cal's lips. "Well done.". "Yeah yeah, not bad," Cal reluctantly agreed. "Come on, they loved me." Andy beamed again, jubilantly taking his drink and downing it, his hands shaking like a leaf. Calvin was next but nerves stunned him in his seat "I thought you were next Theo?" He said, a little dazzled about how quickly he was called, and secretly trying to get out of it. "It's ok you go, I don't mind waiting." "Shit." He muttered under his breath as he stood up and made his way to the stage. He finished and the crowd roared. Retuning to the table and grabbed his boyfriend. . "Stop it you two." Andy griped as Cal pulled his man on his lap and kissed him passionately. "Your cue!" Murmured in his ear, sweetly kissing his neck. They were practically shagging one another in the chair by now. "Go on." Andy pushed. This time it was slow and sweet. His voice carried, effortlessly filling the room even as his eyes glazed, staring straight at the blank wall opposite just so he didn't have to see the audience that would make him stop in fear. He sounded beautiful as Cal arched his eyebrows and gasped. Andy too was captivated by him; the way he would sway his hips, the innocent look in his eyes, the way he held the microphone above his face, the way he moved, sang. Oh god, he was just so beautiful! The audience fell into a trance. The song finished and he quietly said thank you, quickly skipping off his face almost a crimson red. The crowd went mad, whistling for him to do an encore. It took a while for the lady to hold off the people and cool them down before the next singer came on. "Fuck me! Vin wasn't joking when he said you could sing!" Andy's mouth gaped open, the threat of drooling not far off. Cal looked at him in awe, bringing his glass to his mouth and chugging it down. "Another?" Andy asked, still utterly stunned, totally jealous as the lovers clung together. But in Cal's mind that thing had to be arising soon. 'Shit how am I going to tell him I have to leave for a meeting tomorrow. Is this a good time or not?' He really didn't to ruin the evening, loving how close they had gotten in the last few hours. What was he going to do? Shit! It was past One in the morning when they stumbled out of the doors, chuckling as he watched Theo's feet crisscross as he walked linked arms with Andrew who was doing the same thing, almost tripping each other up in the process. They were singing and making a racket. "Alright Lads, karaoke is over" He called catching them up; Theo instantly leaned into him and entwined his finger with his. The soft smile caught his emotion of romance but inside he was screaming on not wanting to rock the boat. Maybe he should get Andy to tell him, or not tell him at all just go, but he will ask questions and wonder why he was away for so long. Sussex was a good two hours drive from here maybe longer, and god knows how long he will be at Mr Lorenzo's? No he had to tell him and soon. Andrew was about to call a cab when a voice spoke up. "You could always crash over ours you know." He made a face to him getting the hint that he needed him there tomorrow to watch over Theo. "W-hat?!" He frowned drunkenly calling from a distance. Rolling his eyes, hand still entangled as he pulled him along to get closer. "He said crash at ours" "Oh, if you are sure then..." "...Of course seems silly travelling home when we live just a couple of streets away" He moved his eyes again pointing them down to person attacted. "Oooooh Yes of course tomorrow." "Tomorrow?" Expecting an answer as Andy opened his big mouth again. "Yes he's..." Shaking his head frantically. "You haven't told him yet have you" He bit his lip and recoiled. The hand slipped away and now the big green, black kholed eyes stared back at him. "Oh shit babe, I was going to tell you...but" He flicked his hair from his face as he did when he was hiding something. "...Tell. Me. What?" "Look lets go home first yeah I don't want a row in the streets" This intrigued more and pressed his hand on his chest to stop him from walking onwards, the eyes big and dark still glared. "Tell me now! You swore to me no secrets and you go and break your promise. Even he knows something I don't so... what about tomorrow?" His lips formed into a sneer. "I said lets go home first" "NO I WANT TO HEAR IT NOW!" He screamed into the empty side street where they turned, a few curtains twitched. Cal grabbed his arm, and locked a palm over his mouth. "Listen to me" He held tightly. "We go home and raise hell there ok? Not here in the street where we are likely to get arrested. I have half once of fucking stuff in my inner lining of the jacket, you really want us to get caught?" Theo softened and shook his head releasing him. "Good, home now then." The Ten minute walked was in complete silent and a little tense, only steps of their walking echoed through the night. Theo sulked; Andrew plodded hands in his pockets and head lowered, looking at he ground. Things where going so well too, so calm like old times. Its fucked!! 'Bang goes my chance' he was thinking as tonight was the only time in the last two weeks he had been intimate with him, not wanting to touch him in case he broke as that Ken had tainted him. Back home they came to the building and a ghostly quietness filled the hallway as they moved up the stairs lightly. Once inside Theo stood, facially challenging his parnet with his stern glares. "I'll go... leave you two..." Andy pointed to the spare room before wondering off to bed. "You might need a blanket it's not made up" Cal called trying to distract himself from that look; eyes followed him around as he sat on the sofa. "Right O," Andy called finding the duvet in the wardrobe. That stare became closer, it was actually quite frightening when he was like this and fuelled with drink and drugs. "Don't look at me like that," he snapped, taking a cigarette from the packet and placing it between his lips, not even wanting to look and meet those eyes he knew that were burning through him. "Tell me." He blew out the smoke rather exaggerated and rubbed his forehead with his thumb. "Sit down." Doing as he was told on the opposite sofa; and lighting his own cigarette as he didn't want to be near his lover right now as he was so angry at him. "I have to be somewhere tomorrow" He started slowly and carefully. "Where?" He almost squealed. "Hamshire!" "But why? We don't have contacts there do we?" "Not until now no. I have a meeting with a Mr Lorenzo." "I? You mean we right?" He was smiling now, but soon it was quickly wiped off. "No! me, I have to go alone." "Oh no you don't we all go together." "Not this time, he wants to see me, well he will want to meet you but not right now not..." Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 04 "...WHY?" he protested in anger. "It's just delicate Theo, what with you and... Look why do I have to explain? I am going, alone, you are staying here that's it" He became dominant, and Theo wasn't sure if he liked it. "No you can't. What if you get hurt or end up assaulted over the bloody desk like me huh?" "It won't happen. Andy said he was genuine and happens to be in the same business as we are." "Might have guess Andy was behind this, scamming behind my back. The pair of you" "Not scamming protecting you." "I don't need protecting, I' m fine you two made fucking sure of that feeding me to that shark." "Oh Fuck sake Theodore stop being such a drama queen, I wasn't the one who got hold of this man." "Andy again!" He said sarcastically "Drama queen?" He stood as the fury spread to his fists clenching them hard so that his knuckles turned pale. "You want to try getting shafted pinned down, unable to move with a knife stabbing you in the neck. Then maybe you'll understand DRAMA!" he started to shout, the other man waved down his arm to stop him. "No I won't calm down or be quiet" He yelled. "You know what it feels like Huh? No I should be used to it now, not the first time I..." His voice broke. "What... you never..." "No, I didn't." He turned his back and hunched his shoulders, forgetting Andy was in the next room and hearing every word. Cal's hand hovered over his shoulders from behind unsure weather he would get a punch in the mouth for touching him, then he flopped then to he side, thinking it was better not to. "I...s... sorry. But...?" "Before we met, two men cornered me and..." "...Jesus!" "They were friends of the Hatcher brothers, they must have told them about me living there at the time. They came into my room, and..." His voice quivered. "Hey," He paced to stand in front of him a glisten of a tear caught his eye as it ran down his cheek. "Did anyone help I mean heard you shout for help?" "No" He wiped his eyes with his hand. They gagged me, and said they would kill me if I squealed." "Fuck sake. Oh god, I wish I could have kicked their asses for that, I would have killed them." His canines showing as he curled his lips in anger. The green glassy eyes caught his. "Funny you never cared or did anything about that Ken." "Oh god Theo, it was difficult. He's in the business, we will be caught hurt or worse if we tackled him, you must understand that, look what he did to you" "Thanks." He walked away and sat down again. "You know the score" He stepped over and crouched by him. He just faintly nodded he was right they couldn't do a single thing. "So when do you leave?" he asked after a moments silence. "Joes picking me up at lunch time." "I still think I should come." "God sake, you are so tedious when you are in this mood," he stood again. "I just don't understand, why?" "I told you, it's delicate." He again paced like a panther and sat next to him, capturing his sad face. "Like you are, delicate, and precious," he took his hand only to be snatched it away. But it didn't help flattering him, he still looked annoyed and even more so being patronized. "So you are going to leave me, and for how long?" His tone was flat. "Andy will stay with you if you want to," he now snaked his arm around his shoulders, he was getting a little hot, urge creeping as he felt tingling sensations between his legs, he was becoming hard, and desperate to drag that pretty boy to the bedroom and fuck him senseless. But the other vibes were less than aroused and also felt like he couldn't push him, not after what happened, he couldn't, he had to be patient and wait until he was ready. He twitched as the engorged erection bothered him, getting up then tuning. "Coming to bed?" "NO. I'm sleeping here don't want to be anywhere near you!" He brooded, not liking it one bit that he had to be left tomorrow. "Suit yourself," He replied a little hurt by rejection. 'Things never has been so difficult, and will it ever be again?' He thought as he entered the bedroom and plonked on the bed face down. It wasn't all that comfortable on the sofa. The leather stuck to his skin peeling away uncomfortably as he turned. He was in the dark and missing the warmth of his lover, still he was stubborn and tossed with the thin blanket feeling the back of the chilled sofa against his. He sighed and sat up rubbing his face with his hands, sleep didn't come as the growing anxiety and anger still boiled in his stomach. The light footsteps distracted him; someone was coming into the room. Andy was opening the fridge to get some juice, picking up the glass off the side. "Andy?" Out of the blue. Suddenly making noise of surprise and the glass smash on the floor, then Theo turned on the standard lamp, squinting as his eyes hurt from the light. "Fucking hell you almost gave me a heart attack," he clasped his chest. "Sorry," he chuckled seeing the amusement of it. "Better luck nest time." "What are you doing here, why aren't you in bed?" "Don't ask" He mumbled. Andy started to pick up the glass from the floor; luckily it only broke in three bits. Theo came in to help, finding the dust pan and sweeping the tiny shards, watching his bare feet in the process, careful not to stand on any. "Think that's all," he said not realizing the redhead was staring at him holding a small cardboard box where they placed the broken glass. Then looked up to meet his gaze. "Nothing Andy you know..." He answered the question that was not asked in spoken words. "Fight huh?" Tipping the remainder of the shards in the box then put the dustpan on top of the swing bin. "You heard!" "Hard not to; practically screaming at him." Andy then put the box next to the bin. "He's leaving me, going to meet some Mr who ever tomorrow well today," he looked at the kitchen wall clock. "What the hell am I supposed to do? He won't let me come with him." "Yeah, I know" He lowered his head and switch on the kettle, it was gone Five in the Morning, no point in going back to bed now he was fully awake by that fright. "Why, then Andy? Why does this who ever Mr Big shot want him alone?" "Like Calvin said it's a difficult situation, it's complicated," he trailed off taking two clean cups from the draining board. "Bollocks! You two are up to something." Andy was beginning to get tired of his constant whinging. With agitation he put a spoon full of coffee in each cup then turned sharply as he close to his back. "Look! There is nothing going on." He rested his hands on his shoulders, looking into his tired eyes, without his glasses he look a little different, softer maybe. "How am I supposed to believe you?" "Trust me, trust us." All he could do was look up at his tall friend; he was too tied to argue anymore. "Go to bed you look exhausted." "I can't sleep, not now." Andy sighed and carried on making coffee, taking the cups into the lounge area and putting them down on the coffee table. The dawn was beginning to light the room through the curtains, the birds dawn call twittered as they sat in silence sipping their drinks. Theo stared into space so many thoughts, doubts and questions running through his mind. 'Surely there must be a good reason for this. Perhaps they with tell me after the meeting, but why keep me in the dark?' His eyes were weighing down now, and he fought the need to sleep. As Andrew nipped to the toilet he found his body slip, letting his head rest then his eyes finally gave in. Stopped as he saw him sleeping soundly on the sofa, the light snores whistled though his nose. He tilted his head to the side and smiled. "Aw" He cooed, un- drank coffee still clasped in his hands. He took this opportunity to study his face, the lines of his lips, soft and sensuous. His nose slightly turned up, eyes, even his beauty dimples riveted him. His heart jumped at this beautiful man, if only he could kiss his lips, just as he slept, maybe? Or will he wake up and lump him one? He looked younger than he was. Pass for twenty-five easy. He was thirty-three. Cal was so lucky. Yes angel! Cal always called him that and he was right, he was. Taking the cup that now tipped dangerously close to the hot liquid spilling over his lap, and giving a nasty shock; he put it back on the table. His eyes couldn't avert from him, this was his only moment he had that he could just stare for hours, but he had to compose himself. This was not his lover, he couldn't let such feelings get a hold of him. He moved closer perhaps something out of a strong protective urge, lifting him with both hands, one under his knees and another cradling his back, letting his head lean on his chest. Involuntary Theo held on to his neck, probably thinking it was Calvin. He stood and carried his light body looking down as he moved him into his room; taking another moment to study his handsome face. Cal was sound asleep laying on his front, arm sticking out from under the covers, head buried. Pulling back the cover careful not to wake him, he settled Theo on the mattress and covered him over, He turned and smiled. Andy sighed and left the room, maybe he could catch a few hours himself, only wishing he was in the bed with him. Climbing back into the single bed he thought for a while, he had the day to spend with him and was pretty excited about that! He knew Cal would be hours and likely not to return until evening or even the next day. In that time he wanted to make the most of being with Theo alone, protect him and get to talk, maybe open up a little, be Calvin for a few hours only minus the intimacy. 'Yes intimacy' he though letting his hand crawls down to his arousal and stroked lightly. He closed his eyes and let his fantasies fill his mind. 'No harm could be done just by fantasying surely?' He thought. Rubbing his lenghth with his palms, letting his fingers dance idly over the engorged head of his cock, letting a hiss when pleasure took over his body and senses. Seeing him on his kness feeding his cock in to that sweet mouth, coating the plump lips in his pre cum the look of ectsay on his face as he rammed it down his throat. Oh the moans he would make? what would he look like? In such a position. Under him as he touched his skin, taking him hard, and feeling his body tremble as he fucked him hard. His cock? How big would he be? how would he taste? He hissed again, brething hard but biting his bottom lip to stifle the groans feeling the hot liquid dribble down his hand. "Oh god!" he whispered. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 05 Turning around and smiles seeing his man sleeping curled up next to him, feeling his warmth and listening to his steady breathing. He grinned knowing that he didn't last long on the sofa, that he would return to the bed pretty soon after he did. Of course he didn't know Andy had carried him, not hearing or feeling anything as he was in a deep sleep. He stroked his curls and kissed his cheek. He stirred a little but didn't wake up. The Taxi would be arriving in less than an hour so he made himself look presentable, finding a suit jacket, black jeans and black T-shirt. He didn't know why but it seemed suitable to be all in black. He thought it would make him look tougher and no nonsenses, perhaps less approachable or signal he meant business. Standing primping in the full length mirror making sure he look perfect, beard trimmed hair tied back and of course the last accessorized sun glasses. He heard a voice behind him and looked at the man through the mirror. "So you are going then?" He asked with a sharp tone. "Hi sweetheart," he beamed, hoping he had woken up in a better mood. Theo ingnored his sweet talk and asked again. Cal sighed and walked over to the bed setting down to see his lover looking at him with a serious expression. "Look. I have to. I won't be too long and Andy will be here." He reached out to stroke his cheek, but flinched away. "I have to go," he said looking at his watch, "Joe's gonna be here in twenty minutes." "Fine fuck off then!" He buried his head under the covers. "Theo please don't be childish, I won't be long and once I know what he wants I will call a meeting and discus it, and that includes you," he turned before he walked away having more important things on his mind than Theo's tantrums. "Have you ever considered my feelings? I get nervous too you know" He turned and walked away. A face appeared from the marine blue duvet, poking his head up. He was right and then guilt surged through him. But before he could say goodbye he was gone. Outside the older aged man with a white beard and long silver hair was waiting. He said hello as Cal sat in the seat next to him, his own fear building as he had no idea who this Mr. Lorenzo was or what he wanted. Andy hadn't said a lot about him, but he trusted him or did he? Look what happened to Theo when he thought that club manager was ok! But he could handle himself well and any trouble, he would make sure he'd show him not to mess with him. He had done it before back in the old days, putting a man in hospital when he tried to rip him off. Nowadays he was more placid and never needed you use any aggression, even his boyfriend could push his limits but he never laid a finger on him. But things had been tough over the two weeks but managed to keep a strong head. Pulling away he looked up; the bedroom window was facing the side of the building, seeing a face watching down sadly. He sighed deeply and tried to forget Theo for the moment, although it felt strange him not being in his shadow. "Afternoon!" Andrew beamed as he poked his head through the bedroom door. Theo was pressed to the window, gazing out like a damsel waiting for her prince to rescue her from the tower in some fairy tail book. He walked closer as he had not answered him, stopping less than an inch then put his hands on each shoulder and kneaded his muscles. "He won't be long," he soothed enjoying the touch of the bare soft skin under is fingers, the scent coming off his nape as he leaned to lightly take in the sweet lingering cologne and his manly musk from the night before. Letting out a weak sigh he flinched and moved passed the tall man, putting on a worn T-shirt before walking out of the door and sat on the chair at the dining table. Andy had already prepared brunch and two steaming cups of coffee. Looking at it then his friend who now stood straight with a jubilant smile on his face. "Well c'mon eat up," he then sat down and watched the other stare at the fried food, that made his stomach churn more than growl with hunger. "This is sweet but I'm really am not hungry." He pushed the plate away, the smell made him feel sick. "You have to eat, you look so thin and you are going to need your strength for today". "Why what's so special about today?" He sipped the coffee that tasted great actually. Andy always could make great coffee. "Had a message from a customer we are doing a drop." He bit into a slice of toast and winked. "Do we have to Andy?" he played with his food, with the fork. "Oh c'mon, we are supplying some great gear people are in demand we have it they have money," chewed and spoke with his mouth full. "I s'pose." "No suppose about it! It's a fact" He peered up through his messy curls and tried to eat the sausage that half dangled on the spike. Sighed, what choice did he have? "Good Lad, Jay Lewis's drop is in Islington at three." He was a regular. * * * The long Journey was boring yes! But Joe kept him entertained with his usual shit jokes and small talk. No work as he knew it was some what prudent to avoid. "Almost there Sir, we had good clear roads today." The apprehension made him shuffle and wonder. What would he be like? What proposition did he have for him? It was intriguing scary but yet exciting, he loved the high adrenaline rush of the perks of this job. There are some hidden incorporations around, some of which you never get a sniff off unless bumped into by a good chance. The majority of the times in a bad way, of course Theo had a taste of that. But then some minor businesses usually have some nasty people who like to throw their weight about due to power going to their heads, it was unlikely Mr Lorenzo was like this, even his name sounded regale. He became at ease as he created in his mind on what he was like, maybe this wasn't all bad. Pulling out his phone he found peace in himself, hoping he could reach out and give some to Theo. Pressing the buttons slowly he text his lover, smiling as he hit the send resting his head back. 'It will be alright' He thought, but still not letting his guard down, he still had to be cautious. "We are here" Joe affirmed bringing Cal out of his dream, only now did he miss the curls brushing against his cheek, the sweet innocent smile and the beautiful eyes of his boyfriend whao was so far away. He was having a lovely moment with him in his mind, the last time they made love was so long ago, yet two weeks certainly felt like it anyway. He sighed letting his last remembered thought of his body warmly caressing his, his soft kisses and tiny cries as he brought him to climax. But now he had to adjust his bulging crotch and think about the next step. It wasn't too long before he was pushed to the back of his mind for a moment as they drove through iron double gates, stony drive that seemed to go on for miles before coming to a grand Manor in the middle of nowhere. "Jesus!" He exclaimed staring up at the building. * * * "Everything alright?" Andrew asked as Theo shifted up to grab his phone as it vibrated through his pocket with two single tones. Looking at it he smiled, glad that Cal hadn't forgotten him. "Yeah think so, its Cal." "What did he say?" He asked not taking his eyes off the road but switching a quick glance at the passenger sitting next to him. "He is almost there now and..." He scrolled down and blushed. "...And?" "...Oh "What?" He asked again. "..Oh he's ... I can tell you that it's private," he giggled. "Oh I see" The driver grinned. "Just he will call me when he's done." "Ok." He turned a corner the location almost five minutes away. Once they arrived Andy parked a few blocks down the road, just for safety in case the police got suspicious and nailed the cars registration. "You ready?" He asked as Theo clutched the bag tightly. It had been a while since he had done this so wasn't exactly thrilled after what happened last time, freezing in his seat as Andy opened the door for him. "What you waiting for?" He said coldly and impatiently. He was in 'work mode' so that friendly appearance was now changed to a harder exterior. "I don't know if I can Andy" He shuddered. "Oh god Theodore! I thought you were ok now." "No, I...can't ... I ...," he wouldn't budge from the car seat. "Christ sake get the fuck out of the car now!" "You do it... please." He looked up with his big beautiful pleading eyes, fear still written all over his face, just as Andy had seen it when he found him in Soho street. He swore sharply and snatched the bag, shoving it inside his jacket, "Out!" He pulled him by his black tight vest top that barely covered his chest. He was cross and made sure that he understood, staring harshly at him as he got out and stood a little ashamed he had let him down. Andy plodded on, his long legs taking bigger strides as Theo's little feet could hardly catch up with him. Along the street they came to an alley leading to a backstreet. Hobos scattered against the walls, covered with filthy blankets and stank of urine. Some of them lying down like they were dead or something, motionless under their covers, the only thing to keep the cold out in the chilly nights. Theo looked around, holding his fist to his chest. This wasn't a usual location, they never ran into the dregs of the dark alleys or streets, it was too dangerous. "Kind handsome man," a young lady said with a frail voice made his head whip around to see her with a bundle in her arms. She was looking up at him with her sad dark eyes, her baby sleeping in a tatty pink blanket. "Please sir, I need to feed my baby." He swallowed hard, the sheer distraught situation gripping his heart as he pitied her so much. She reached out her hand and sobbed. Theo crouched down and took it, transfixed by her deep brown anguished eyes. Andy stopped as the followers footsteps was no longer heard, turning around his eyes wide as he saw his collegue squatting in front of the girl. "THEO!!" he screamed out, running back to him. Suddenly the small man was pushed to the floor by an unseen force then kicked. He grunted in pain as he was then hauled up. Again he was held at knife point and he realized with his terror gripping he had seen this awful thing before. "Let him go!" Andy panted in front of a scruffy dark haired man that looked as young as the girl. Nineteen, Twenty maybe? "No I will not unless you have something of value, which I imagine you do looking like that walking through my territory." He didn't look all that tough; weedy and thin, and clearly a user from his ghostly gaunt white face and dark circles under his blue reddened eyes. Probably wasn't tough but he had a knife and that was enough to scare the shit out of them both. "Red!" Theo whimpered as the blade caught the sunlight in the corner of his wide eyes, cold steel against his throat. It was custome to use code names in this situation. "Frank! Don't hurt the man," the girl pleaded. "You shut it Lillie or we won't get our junk," he spat at her. The guy now assumed was her boyfriend/husband of this poor woman. And father to the child. "Look we have..." "...Theo no," Andy cut in as approaching the tramp with caution, raising his arms in peace. "Look mate, we don't want any trouble just to pass through." "Will cost you to do so," he haggled. Theo looked at his friend, eyes dropped to his jacket where he had the smack hidden. "What do you want money?" He pulled out two Twenty notes from his wallet. "That will do for starters," Frank snatched, "Now what about the gear?" He smirked evilly. "Gear what gear?" Theo clenched his eyes shut as Andy denied having anything drug related on him. "The shit in your jacket?" Andy swallowed hard, "There's no..." He stopped to hear his partner yelp. Frank had hold of his hair lifting up his head to reveal his slender throat. His Adam's apple bobbing rabidly in fear, blade of this small dirty pen knife pressing, leaving a dent on where it was likely to cut. "Just give him the fucking coke!" He whimpered urgently again as the grip tightening. "No we need this, we had to drop it to Mcgiffern..." Oops. "...Who? Never heard of him," He was panting harder now. The look of dismay as he was lied to again. "I'm sorry, I lied he's a new contact, a quick fix, someone who will pay double the amount." "You Bastard Red!! You... I don't believe this," He yelled then hitched a breath as he felt the pain drill through his head. "You are telling me that. Ouch fuck," He gripped Frank's hands to try and pull them away. "JUST GIVE THEM THE FUCKIN DRUGS!" he then screamed, arousing a little crowd to gather around in entertainment. Andy was about to pull out a bag when a shot echoed through the air. Everything moved slowly as Theo felt his body jolt and fell forwards, the heavy body on on him. It took him a moment to realize that someone had been shot. Blood crept under the body, pooling around him. He shrieked and pushed the limp weight off him, checking his own for wounds. He was fine no bullet holes in him, but Frank was lying in his own blood, the girl screamed. He fell on his knees, looking at his hands that shook frantically in front of his own eyes, bewildered and shocked by just what happened. "FUCK!" he squealed in a high pitched whimper dragging his hair from his sweat sheened forehead with his trembling fingers. "I think we had better go NOW!" Andy started to run. Theo shot a look at one maybe two men running at high speed at them. "Fuck!" He shouted again standing quickly. He looked at the girl taking her hand and smoothed it. "Lillie? I will help you, just trust me ok." She nodded, he smiled but the footsteps were becoming closer and then he moved and sprinted. Both men ran as fast as they could, who was chasing them? They will never know, but they had a gun and it was them they were making a bee line for. Frank got in the way and if he hadn't held Theo hostage it could have been him laying there. "Here," Theo shouted as they came to a convent, pushing the heavy doors and hiding behind a monument of the Virgin Mary. After a moment it was quiet only the men's exhausted breaths filled the big open church. "Who the F...?" He looked up at the statue biting his curses back" "...Was that?" Theo finished still breathing hard, heart pounding in his chest. "I dunno mate, but who ever they were they wanted to kill you." "Me?" He pointed at his chest and raised his eyebrows. "Well you were in range," Andy shrugged. "Well thanks for the vote of confidence Friend!" He stood and walked around feeling safe here. Now he looked around to taking in the tranquil surroundings. "Why here?" Andy now did the same, looking at the portrait of Christ in the far wall. "I thought we could play nuns and novices, what do you think!" He raked his hands through his hair again, trying to compose himself. "It's safe here, no one will come looking or fire guns in a religious place." He sat heavily at a pew and evaluated the situation, then remembering what Andy had said when he was held hostage earlier. "Andy what did you mean you lied, who is this Mc...?" "...Mcgiffern?" "Yeah" "Oh I'm sorry, he wanted smack for more than we asked for, I thought why not?" "Breaking the rules?" He cut in, "Idiot, what if it was him shooting at us." "No, couldn't be him..." He looked sheepish. "You are a lair Andrew, you knew how dangerous this was, and you ... I don't believe this" He bumped down his head on the back of the seat in front. "Sorry I ..." "...No you didn't, didn't think yet again" He stood and strutted around in a large circle, stopping to stare at him. "I didn't think it would do any harm ... just a one off." "...So we go and meet this whoever, he shoots us and gets the Gear. Nice one Andrew! and I trusted you, Calvin trusted you in care of me," He turned away. A warm hand leant on his shoulder, a sharp intake of breath heard as he rested his head on his back. "...Did you do this before Andy?" The light trembles of his sobs quivered against the mans cheek through his back. He turned shrugging off the affection, facing the man with tears evidently rolling down his cheeks. "Did you?" Andy opened his mouth to speak but dropped his head. Theo nodded angrily as he knew it so. "Where are you going?" The tall man asked with a hitch in his breath. He turned sharply. "To bring that poor girl here; to give her and her baby a better life." Andy just stood alone, lips formed a smile and his heart did too. Theo had showed courage, maturity as well as caring. "No they might be still out there, you'll get..." "...Then at least I would die doing good, I will go to heaven, not hell." 'Shit I'm falling for him' Andy sighed. Luckily the place they left Lillie was desolate, guessing the police, paramedics had come and gone, the others keeping low to avoid witnessing what they just saw. She was huddled in an open door of a derelict shop, crying and holding her baby close. His voice spoke out, as did his hand "Lillie, come with me." Her eyes met his, reading his. Feeling so awful at her loss, but glad in a way as small bruise on her left eye indicated Frank was perhaps a violent man. "Why?" she utters, not able to glance away from him. "I told you I would help you and I will. No questions, please just come, come with. You will be safe I promise." Andy stood a few yards away arms folded, looking like he was about to burst into tears himself. He nooded to comfirm as she looked at him then back to Theo. "We have to go now, I think I'm in danger, and I was the one..." His voice broke, " they may still be about." "Ok, she smiles. Theo helped her up gently, the child still sleeps. She follows the two men safely to the location, it was still so quiet. Too quiet, still terrified, that these men could still be out there. He walked proudly along the street for once feeling worthy of his existence on this earth. Over the last few days he had felt so low and inadequate, worthless. The girl, Lillie had been taken in by Sister Anna, who took pity on this poor girl and her daughter that must only be three months old, who she had named Hope, believing she could live through this horrid lifestyle. It was a miracle this baby had even lasted this long in that hellhole; she must have been a doting, caring and good mother. Theo was her archangel who had fallen from the sky; he had promised he would help her and he had. He was now feeling on top of the world and able to forget the horrors and anxieties of the last fortnight. He had done his good deed and hoped it would make up for all the sins and vices he had, dealing and using. It was new experience for him since he had entered that convent, like a door had been opened with a bright light on the other side of it. Everything was so clear, so wonderful, and a new hope had dawned on him. "Well, I'd say you have a lot to be happy for," Andy said walking beside him watching the smile flatten on his lips. "Yes I do," He beamed. "Was a great thing you did; you're a real saviour." "Ahh shut up," He blushed, "Anyone would have done the same, seeing that poor baby with only a future in drug abuse." He took a moment to examine his own life. Thank God he had rescued the poor girl from being like him. He too was once homeless, broke, but he didn't really rely on drugs. He had a little to dull the pain but he wasn't an addict, at least not yet! He became solemn and his friend recognized the change in his mood. "Hey what's up? You should be so proud of yourself," He stopped him in the street and looked down at him. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 05 "I... this is wrong." "What is?" "This whole thing that we are doing, what I'm doing." "Rubbish Theo," Andy argued. "The black market pays well, right? Or would you rather work long hours for a pittance and struggle to pay the rent, and eat, and do all the great things we do?" "It's dissolute," He sighed sitting down heavily on a bench and lighting a cigarette. Andy made a face, hoping he could make him see. "You see over there?" He pointed to an obvious location, sitting close to him. "Girls lie on their backs and earn more than he might do in a whole week." He then pointed at a random waiter serving tea in the café they had stopped in front of. "I guess you are right," He remembered when he and Cal had slogged hard to pay for the expensive flat. Until Andy came alone, it was evident they would be chucked on the street, their wages being so low, and the rent too high. Even if they had rented a cheaper flat they still would have had to struggle to makes ends meet. It was the story of everyone's lives really. He had it good, he knew that, but he still felt so guilty. The young lad looked tired as he took the orders from another table by the window. He and Cal still worked in the little local bar every now and then when staff were on holidays or off sick, or if they happened to be very busy. His boyfriend was a popular man, his charisma always winning him friends easily. He was well known and had easily persuaded Stu, the landlord to allow Theo to work there too. The drug money helped for those little extras they could never have afforded otherwise. "You know I am." Andy wrapped his arm around him and tugged him closer. The bulge in his jacket pressed against him, and he realized they had to get home now before they were found in possession. "Come on, we'd better get home safely before anyone gets a hint of what I have in here." He patted his chest and stood, pulling Theo up with him. * * * Calvin stood and looked at the house with wide eyes, stunned at this beautiful building. 'This man must be very successful owning something like this.' "You want me to wait sir? Mr. S did say you may be here a while." "If you would It's probably only gonna take me half an hour." Joe tipped his hat and sat back in the car. Cal moved closer, his heart pounding hard, unsure what he was to expect. The white painted door with arched frosted glass windows was sheltered by pillars, like a small porch. It had an old iron knocker, so he adjusted his hair and clothes before finding the courage to use it. For a moment there was nothing, but then it swung open gently. A man stood inside, tall with almost white hair, eyes slightly unfriendly sinister, until he smiled, and then his face turned friendly and kind looking. "Must be Boss's 3'oclock?" He said looking up and down at his smart appearance. "Yes I am Mr Walsh, he's expecting me." "Ah yes, do come in." He moved to the side and let the visitor walk through the door, his eyes lighting up at the decor. The house must have been Georgian at least, judging by the foundations. The big square windows and the giant double doors, in which lead to unknown realms of this huge place. "Please wait here, I will tell him you have arrived." Sitting on a plush red chair he looked around again. The old furniture, paintings, and bookshelves told him he was a cultured man. An artist maybe? He was playing the guessing game to himself when the man returned and asked him to follow him, walking through those massive doors and into a corridor. They turned left and then faced a crossroad of doors, each looking the same. The man knocked on the one they were facing and the voice of the mysterious man called. "Come in." Cal's excitement grew, his ears captured that first sound of his voice. It wasn't that clear through the thick wooden door. His became apprehensive as it slowly opened, his heart almost leaping out of his mouth when he saw a reasonable sized office. It was a lot more modern looking than the rest of the house, with a curved desk and an Apple Mac computer over to the right. A neat pile of paperwork rested in the middle, and folders slotted neatly inside a tall filing cabinet. There was a black arm chair opposite, next to the large window with cream curtains tied in the middle. He stepped in and the scent of the butler wafted up his nose as he moved past him, bending down to listen to what he had to say. The man with mid-length brown hair that was swept back with a light gel in line with his jaw; whispered something to him which he couldn't grasp "Thank you Mr Steel, that will be all," He said waving his pen at him dismissively, holding it between his fingers as if he was smoking it. As soon as the door shut he gave Calvin a most warming smile, which instantly made him relax and melt just the tiniest bit. "Please sit." He gestured to the comfy looking chair. He did so, taking in the man's incredible features. He was careful not to stare too much, though he thought him captivating and very handsome. He had high cheek bones, a full pouting bottom lip and an angular pointed nose. Sharp piercing light blue/grey eyes watched him, barely visible as engulfed by the large dark pools. 'Like a fox,' he thought. He wore a black T-shirt with a similar coloured jacket covering some logo, just a small part of some blue lettering showing underneath. Calvin assumed he was wearing black trousers too but the desk covered his lower half. "Mr Walsh?" He asked in clipped tones. The guest smiled and nodded waiting for the smooth twang of his voice again. "I'm Mr Alister Lorenzo, your colleague has told me a lot about you and the business." "Yes he is our trusted manager and a good friend. He keeps everything in check." "I see, yes. He has informed me on how well your little empire is doing." If Calvin wasn't mistaken he sensed a little condescending tone. "Yes, we do very well." He answered sharply, shifting a little in his seat. He wasn't going to sit there and let him look down at his nose at him. Lorenzo chuckled a little and stood up, wandering over to a drinks cabinet. He took two glasses and then turned to see the darker eyes had followed him, still looking slightly offended. He was wearing dark blue jeans to his surprise. Kinda formal. "Drink?" He grabbed a bottle of what looked like expensive vodka. "Please." Cal tried to be polite, after all he still had to be careful and wait and see what he had to say for himself. For a start, he put 'Mr Lorenzo' down as a self satisfied git, but something deeper caught his eyes as he turned around and handed him the glass, taking it graciously and nodded a thank you, watching him settle back down behind his desk, sipping the clear liquid. He moved the glass from his lips and waited sensing he had something to say. Slowly and gracefully, he put down his own glass and sat back, entwining his long fingers together, eyeing up the other man. "What if I was to tell you that you could do a hell of a lot better?" Cal frowned now this was interesting! "Well it's a thought, but I think the business has been a great success so far." "Hmmm" He raised an eyebrow. Mr Standley tells me you had a spot of bother recently." Suddenly he became angry. 'How dare he discuss our problems with a complete stranger?!' "Did he now?!" He put down the glass and leant forward, almost challenging the man with his intimidating glare. "It was a one off, we have not experienced a single problem in the past year." He almost growled. Lorenzo just smiled, he liked the cut of this guys jib, and knew he was strong willed, enthusiastic, and tough. Perfect. "As I said." He changed the subject slightly. "I think you would benefit from doing a lot better. And not only that; being surrounded by some strong ally's means no one can touch you, not even the police." He now looked confused but slightly intrigued. What about the police? Was he some kind of mafia boss? Opening his mouth to speak but the words stuck in his throat. What did he mean? What was he after? In a way he had some kind of inkling but what did it involve? "We have a lot to discus and you will need time to think, so I am inviting you to stay the night, dine with me and talk business. The cook does a lovely Cantonese dish. If you like that kind of thing?" He smiled again but Cal was still baffled. 'Stay the night? Oh Theo, I had better let him know he will go frantic!' "It would be silly to have travelled so far and not execpt my offer. I will not take no for an answer." He coaxed, looking at him sternly, knowing this was a mind game designed to test who was in control. "Ok," Cal said, smiling back at him, almost reeled in by his charm. "But I must inform my colleagues that I'm here and safe!" He emphasised the last word. "Very well then," raising his glass for a toast, waiting for his guest to do the same. Eventually he did so and they clinked glasses. "I have a feeling we will get on very well." He then said, a sly smirk creeping onto his lips. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 06 They were lost, of all the times this was the worst possible time to have lost the car. Desperately running from the crooks or who-ever they were, had diverted them away from where they were parked and now they were wandering around in circles. "I was sure it was this street," Theo pointing to a hairdressers he was certain they had passed before they had that little entanglement. "Na, that was called Lorrain's, or was it Lances?" "Oh god," Theo cursed, now feeling tired. They stopped and looked around, the streets all looked the same and his silver Hyundai was nowhere to be seen. "Fuck." Andy growled. "You don't suppose the cops found it and towed it away?" A serious look washed over on his face. "Don't be ridiculous, why would they take my car?" "I dunno, maybe with the shooting incident they connected it to us?" "Shut up! We were the victims remember?" "Yeah but we have goods!" "Please, don't make this harder for me." He pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to force down the stress. But he may have had a point, though he didn't think the cops would be looking for the car, it was more likely they would be looking for them! "Shit lets get the hell out of here." He caught the man by the collar of his leather jacket and dragged him along. "Hey!" They slipped into a side street and Andrew looked around. Two coppers were walking down the road, walkie-talkie close to ones mouth. "Fuck it." He pulled back, clasping the bag close to his chest, feeling his heart thumping in fear. "What?" Theo asked then looked around, instantly moving back against the wall. "Oh!" "Yes." "What if they found the body? What if we were snitched on by the other tramps...?" "...Shut it Theodore, I'm trying to think." "We need to get rid of this and fast. I can't carry this stuff around with me all day, we could get caught." "How?" "We will have to find someone." "You nuts? You know how dodgy that is!" "Got a better idea?" Theo looked down and bit his lip, freezing at the sudden sound of the radios crackling from the policemen as they passed close by. Andy stopped breathing and froze like a rabbit in headlights. As the sound quietened, they exhaled loudly. "Andy I wanna go home, I have had enough now!" He complained. "Just as soon as we get rid of this" "No, I can't do this, not anymore. Let's find the car and get the hell out of here." Andy gazed down at the smaller man. "Look we go on then we are finished. Jail, maybe Ten years, do you really want that?" "No," he sank down the wall miserably. "Then let's get rid of it, I think I might know someone." Moving closer to the station, Theo became aware of who this person was -Eddy Brown, the last contact that they should be dealing with. He has had quite a few dealings with the boys, but he'd also been raided a few times too. He lived in a tattered old flat in a block of seven stories, a haven for addicts, drunks, and a regular haunt for the police to be called. He swallowed and looked up, Eddy was on the fifth floor, and he hated places like this. "Look you can stay here if you feel you aren't up to it..." "...No, I don't want to be left alone with..." He shot a look to some boys, probably no older than Eighteen, hanging around by the front door. "You ain't scared of a bunch of kids, are you?" He chuckled. "No!" He huffed "Just... Its dodgy here Andy. What the hell you playing at? The police swarm here more than flies on shit." "It will be fine. We'll be in and out in minutes I promise," Andy placed his hands on his shoulders, a habit that was becoming more frequent these days. Theo nodded and followed Andy up the metal grated steps. Loud techno music seeped through the walls of one flat, and from another, a girl screamed and shouted obscene words, obviously having a domestic which signalled a sure sign that the police would be there very soon. His fear rose yet again. All he wanted to do was be enclosed in the comforts of his own home, preferably his bed as the drinking from the night before was taking its toll. They finally stood at a yellow stained door that looked like some one had thrown something foul at it. "I will go, you keep watch ok?" Andy said in the stern way he always did when he was in business mode. Theo nodded and Andy knocked. "Fuck off," came the rash reply. "Eddy its Andrew." "Andrew who?" He sounded drunk, which wasn't a surprise. "Stan, I thought I might interest you in some stuff." (Stan was another nickname for clients only) It went quiet and the door opened a crack, the security chain stopping it after a few inches, just enough for Eddy to see who it was. A pair of reddened eyes peered out, firstly in annoyance but then they lit up when he saw the familiar standing there, gazing over his trendy specks. The door closed and after a small shuffling noise, opened widely, a small, unshaven man with black hair and ruddy complexion looking out. "To what do I owe this pleasure?" He smiled with open arms. "Business! Look can I come in? I don't want to talk here." "Sure thing, come in. Is li'll Theo with you?" He looked around the door. He shook his head and slipped around the corner to avoid being seen. To be honest, Eddy gave him the creeps, always hugging him. He stank and he was vile. They always took the piss out of him after they had visited, teasing him that Eddy fancied him. He would shag anything he would. Once he was inside Theo crept back into the corridor and sighed, leaning on the railings and looking down at the litter of wood, tyres and god knows what else. He kept looking at the boys that seemed to be creeping closer. He hated this and cursed under his breath for Andy to hurry. Someone then screamed making him nearly jump out of his skin. There were three men piling out of the flat three doors down, almost knocking him over as they fled past. The Black lady shouted out, standing on the open landing and then the inevitable happened. Sirens wailing through the estate and now panicking rapping on the door hard. "Andy...Andy we gotta go NOW!" "Who... What?" Eddy stammered, holding the goods. Andy shoved the wad of cash into his inner pocket. "It's Theo" "...But I thought..." "No time Ed. Hide that stash, we gotta go." With that he fled out of the door, pulling his companion with him. The punter hung on the frame watching in his haze as the two men run down the steps. The police car came speeding in and stopped dead, trapping Theo and Andy at the bottom of the steps. They heard someone shout "STOP POLICE" sirens ringing in their ears. "Andy!" Theo called "They have nothing on us," he panted whilst still running. "No I couldn't ... I couldn't..."" Suddenly he heard a yell. It was his partner but he couldn't stop, not now. He still had some on him, Eddy could only afford so much, and so he was still left with half in his jacket. It was no good, he had to get away. When he finally couldn't run anymore he stopped, realizing the police had stopped chasing him and now had Theo up against the wall, frisking him. "Shit!" He moaned, but then had an idea. There was no way he could let him get taken in by the police. They'd know he had visited Eddy, who was known to have drugs. He moved closer cautiously. The boys in blue were reading his rights, but as soon as he was in earshot he heard the words 'shooting' and 'drugs' and that they had been after him for a long time. This one was one of those nasty self-righteous arseholes, who loved his job so much that he didn't care about the abuse he would inflict on the criminals he caught. "Who the hell tipped them off?" He whispered, now backing up. Theo's eyes soon caught his as his head was bashed to the side, his eyebrows arched and then he blinked helplessly. Out of the blue he kicked out, hitting one straight between his legs. The taller officer rolled over in pain, the other tried to grab him again as he tried to run away but was punched hard, something Andy had never seen before from the little friend. It worked, both men now limping about, giving him enough time to run at high speed towards Andrew who was watching with utter amazement. "LEGGIT!!" He shouted as he shot passed him. He heard the word back up from the wounded office, fleeing before they came. Running through the streets for a second time, Theo screeched as Andy's car came into view. Quickly he pulled out the keys and pressed the button to open the door. It made a bleep and the lights flashed. "Get in now!" Andy swung open the door and both men crawled in. Slammed down his foot and sped off, the two policemen only catching up as the car disappeared, so they couldn't take down the registration. "Bravo Three, we lost them, repeat lost. Silver Hyundai, couldn't catch the number Sarge," The smaller younger officer spoke on his radio. * * * Cal stepped out into the grand garden; the sun was gleaming, making it oh so picturesque. He walked along the path, hands in his pocket and admired the flush colour of the flowers. Obviously this Boss man had a gardener to keep it looking like this almost like the parks in London, he thought. But he wasn't here to attend the bloody Chelsea flower show! He was here so he could call Theo and Andy in private, and to give him a chance to think about this offer. One that he hadn't actually said much about yet. He was to have dinner with him at Six and later discuss his proposition in greater depth. He had hinted they could be better off, so what was his plan? He took his phone from his jacket pocket and stared at it for a moment, his thumb hovering over the screen, and tried to think on how to do this. He sighed, knowing Theo would hit the roof. He also didn't want to give anything away, so he scrolled down the list and took the easy way out by sending him a text. Once he sent it, then sighed staring up at the clear blue sky before heading back inside. He walked back into the house, finding Mr Lorenzo was waiting for him in the sitting room; a big open fire dominated the room furnished with antique beige furniture. He had a glass in his hand and as soon as Calvin made an appearance he handed one to him and smiled. "Dinner will be ready very soon." Was the only thing he said before sitting down in the armchair next the fire. * * * "That was close." Andy wiped his sweaty forehead then put his hand back on the wheel. "Yes," Theo was still out of breath and leaned his head on the back of the chair. "Who you suppose tipped them off?" "I dunno Andy I think they may have got us mixed up with the men who shot Frank." "I don't think so; didn't one say he had been after you for a while?" "Why is everything always aimed at me?" He frowned at the man driving. "I mean, do I have 'kick me' stamped on my forehead?" Andy chuckled, "No but this is serious. If they have been tipped off about us then we are finished." He glanced quickly at his friend, his expression hard. "I still think they had us mixed up with those men," He sulked, not wanting to even think about what could have happened. "You do know we are on the run now? I'd say they'll have added assaulting two officers to list of charges as well!" "Shit!" Theo groaned as he regretted kicking and punching the two officers. "I should have gone with them." "No, they would have found out where you'd been, raided Eddy's place; who isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. He would have not hidden the stash and you'd be caught." "Why is it all me Andy? Have you forgotten you and Calvin are a part of this too? And now they will be looking for your car." "Yes I have that one sorted." "How?" "Ray Barns has his own garages, sells old crap stuff like that. I can swap it for another one of his cars until things die down. He can say it was given to him by a random fake stranger." "You're a genius Andy," He smiled, now feeling a bit safer, but still he was recognizable. He worried that he would be found and things would get worse from now on. If he was caught then he would not involve Cal or Andy, like a man he would do his time. He closed his eyes as the impending worry grew. 'Where's my Cal?' He pined after his lover that he now wished was here with him even more than before. * * * Lorenzo got off the phone just after he had told Cal to go and sit in the dining room. A smile crept on to his lips as he hung up abruptly. He had paid a man a great deal to carry out a specific duty, one which hadn't quite been successful, but he still had time. He always had another trick up his sleeve. He looked in the mirror, sliding his fingers through his hair and turned each side of his head to check his appearance. When he was satisfied he turned and walked to meet his guest. He felt awkward sitting at the large table alone; the silver cutlery shining under the candlelight, a brass holder sitting in the middle of the table where three candles flickered softly. Red wine was already open and Mr. L told him to help himself, which he did, pouring it into a large posh glass, and savouring it slowly. He sighed, this man was but fleetingly in his presence, repeatedly ducking out to 'sort things'. He was a busy man, yes, and this was why it had taken so long to arrange an appointment with him. Now he was here, he felt like he still didn't have the time and was growing angry and impatient. "Fucking hell, should have gone home," he muttered, fiddling with the fork. He was missing his boy so badly now, all he wanted to do was go home and hold him and say he was sorry for leaving him like that. He gloomily dropped his head. Why did he agree to stay over? He reached for his phone seeing he had left a text. He was blunt in his reply to the earlier message, simply saying 'Fine!' One single word showed how pissed off he really was with him and Cal desperately wanted to text him back and bitch about how he didn't want to be here and how much he wanted to come home and be with him, but as soon as he pressed the reply button, He came into the room. Instantly shoved the phone back into his pocket. Had he finally found time to sit still for five minutes and talk to him? He stood, raising an eyebrow as he took in Cal's sheepish grin as he put away his phone. "I'm sure he is missing you just as much." He commented, causing him to frown. 'How did he know about Theo and me?' "Bloody Andy." he said under his breath, still smiling but with his teeth clenched. "Yes." He then nodded, watching Lorenzo sit at the head of the table, rearranging his cutlery almost in a tic of OCD. A rather stunning dark haired Asian waitress brought in the food, it was placed before the guest first and looked rather nice, and different to what he had sampled before. "Thank you, Nida," Lorenzo smiled charmingly at her, making a point of glancing at her backside encased in the short tight skirt as she walked away. This made Calvin a little suspicious; was he some kind of pimp? He was now very interested in what he wanted to talk about. Opening his mouth and picking up the knife and fork, he decided a little politeness first would be a good approach. "Food looks lovely, and I thank you and appreciate your kindness Mr Lorenzo." "Alister, please," He replied opening then closing in is arched hands. "Ok thank you...Alister." He began to eat, and the grey eyes stared at him over the table, a wry smile on his lips. There was an awkward silence as they ate; Cal was feeling more and more frustrated as he still didn't start to discuss business. He was trying his best to bite his tongue and not just come straight out and ask. "So what do you have in mind?" The words came out suddenly and Alister stopped his wine glass in mid air. He swirled it once, then set it down. "Well you are doing well so far, but there is room for improvements yes?" "Always room for improvement," Cal chirped. "You know I made half a million last year with the demand for high quality products." Calvin whistled impressively. "Wow that's some earner, selling at 50% RRP?" He was relieved, only now remembering that Andy had said he was in the same business. "70%. We require only the best, pure cocain, Heroin, all shipping from all over the continent." Calvin almost dropped the food that tilted precariously on his fork. "P-pure?" He stammered. "Yes Mr Walsh pure. I have a few qualified scientists that mash Cola leaves and mix them with a combination of acid and water, then the fluid is drawn off and mixed with ingredients such as lime and petrol to make rough granules of cocaine base -also called paste or pasta. The cocaine base is taken to laboratories where it is purified with kerosene, and a number of other distilling processes to make cocaine hydrochloride that's roughly 90% pure." "Wow, you know your stuff," The noodles slipped onto the plate as his mouth dropped open. "Of course, but there is a secret ingredient" Cal raised his head like he was waiting to be told what it was, but he didn't say another word. "Yes of course." He picked up the crystal glass and took a sip, still sitting patiently, waiting for the answer., * * * Theo and Andy had gotten home safely. Whilst grabbing a shower, Andy popped out to sort the car situation; fake insurance, MOT, registration documents all had to be taken care of. Ray was as much a crook as Andy was a master fraudster, so it was easy for him to know what to do in this desperate situation. Andy carefully drove his new swapped black Toyota Corolla, bought for a reasonable price with a little extra thrown in for Ray's effort of doing him a favour, back to Stratford, picking up some grub from the chippie on the way. He was still steaming with anger at Cal's text message about staying the night and that he was sorry, furious that he hadn't even called. He dressed in a black T-shirt and tight black jeans, waiting for Andy's return. He was pretty hungry now and had felt weary after an interesting day to say the least! but he still feared the police would burst in and arrest him. And not only that, they could find the stash of cocaine they had hidden in the spare room. Lighting a cigarette and pouring a glass of whiskey he desperately needed, he chugged it in one go, following it with another. After todays events he needed to get absolutely wasted, and also calm down his raging mood with Cal. This may be the last time a drop of alcohol could pass his lips. He sat down and breathed out hard, his phone sitting on the table looking at him, tempting him to text him and tell him how much he missed him and what had happened today. But he didn't want to worry him, he had an important meeting and he would be home tomorrow. His heart ached as he had never been away from him for this long, and it hurt so much. 'Maybe he will call later,' he thought, and then shook his head. He had to be strong, but stubborn. Andy knocked, in his special coded way that Theo recognised as "Its Red." They weren't doing business, but he knew how terrified he was after the ordeal with the police. He opened the door and just moved away, his fists clenched as he was still feeling so angry. It was also partly the aftermath of the shock of almost getting arrested and the thought that he still could, also being held hostage and almost getting shot. It was all catching up on him now; his heart raced and his hands began to shake, followed by short uneven pants as he tried to breath. "I got you Saveloy and chips that ok? Oh also..." He pulled something from the carrier bag and presented it to Theo who clearly hadn't been taking much notice as he dealt with his panic attack. "Thought we both needed this, since you had nearly drank all the Jack Daniels," he chuckled and looked over to the drinks cabinet, where only a dribble was left in the bottle. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 06 Andy grinned as he put down the bottle of Southern Comfort, his face falling as he realized something was wrong. "Theo?" He called. But he was hyperventilating, pressing his hands to his chest, sheer panic on his face. "Shit!" Andy came over and turned him around, pure terror in the green eyes as he couldn't speak, and was shaking terribly. "Ok ok! Sit down I will get you some water." He led the poor man to the sofa, patting the cushion and helping him down, and then rushed to the kitchen, clumsily fumbling for a clean glass, cup, anything. He found a mug and filled it with the cold tap, skipping back seeing that he was bent forward resting his head on his knees. "Fuck Andy, fuck I'm done for!" "Don't be silly, here drink this, and breathe slowly with me ok?" Andy handed him the drink and started to take slow deep breaths. Mimicking him he tried to control himself, the warm hand of his friend smoothing his arms as he did. Finally the panic subsided and his breathing became regular again. He looked up through the windowed lenses and into the blue eyes that were looking back at him, almost in a different way. Choosing to ignore it and took a large swig of the water. "You ok?" Andy asked, still letting his fingers caress his shoulder. "Yes I think so," looking up again and saw the eyes still gazing at him in that strange way. He started to feel awkward so he got up and moved to the kitchen, picking up the drink Andy had bought, collecting two glasses and set them down on the coffee table. "I think we both need a stiff one," he said. 'Oh fuck, I sure do.' Andy thought as his eyes roamed Theo's slender waist and the taunt chest concealed in his tight shirt. "Must eat first." He tore his eyes off his friend and went to grab the food that was still wrapped in paper and sitting on the work top. When he returned he saw he had already drunk a large glass, neat. Shaking his head, he almost threw the food packet on the table. "Eat." He commanded, looking sternly at him. Rolling his eyes, putting down the glass and preceded to unwrap the chips. He really was very hungry, he realised as the smell wafted under his nose. He scoffed down a few chips like he was starving. "I knew you were hungry," Andy chuckled watching him stuff more in his mouth. "Cheers Andy," he held up a chip in salute, smiling around his mouthful. * * * "Phone call Mr Lorenzo." Mr Steel came into the dining room with the announcement. Alister wiped his mouth with a napkin and stood. "Do excuse me Mr Walsh." He frowned, groaned inwardly, fed up with these constant interruptions, but smiled anyway. After he left the room Cal growled lowly, and then filled his glass again. He was getting more and more agitated so he decided to go for a wander. He was sure Alister wouldn't mind as he had told him to feel free to explore anywhere, except his office and private rooms, of course. They had finished dinner so he walked to the door, intending to have a nose around. He came to a door past the living room, and pushed it open, gasping as he saw a grand piano in the centre of the almost empty room. There was nothing else there, only a couple of chairs scattered around on the polished floor. It was amazing. Cal brushed his fingers along the keys, playing a few notes that echoed against the walls. He was feeling quite excited, it had been so long since he played. His Mother insisted he would be taught at the tender age of five, but as he hit his Teens other matters occupied him and never touched the piano again. Once he had finished playing, he walked to the door that led to the garden. He desperately needed a smoke, and he was sure he wouldn't mind if he was outside, not knowing if he had the habit himself. He inhaled the fresh air, something he had never done as London was smoggy and polluted. It was a fantastic feeling. He strolled around the house, stopping dead as he saw a door open in front of him, the creamy light curtains danced with the breeze. It was a humid June evening and it wasn't unusual to let a breath of air breeze through the building. As he came closer he heard a voice, it was Alister and he was talking. Curiosity consumed him and he crept closer. Eavesdropping was probably not a wise thing to do but he was inquisitive to find out about this business and what this mysterious was talking about. He backed against the brick wall and listened in, hoping not to get caught listening in on the conversation. "Ok, so we will do this in a different way," he said. "The police didn't get him, no... Hmm yes... Not to worry, I have other plans for him." This sounded sinister and Cal wondered who he was talking to, and who he meant by this 'him'. Perhaps someone had got on the wrong side of him, or hadn't paid, or something else? Was he dangerous, would he do a hit? Cal's fear rose as he heard more. "Bring him here, and then I will work out how to deal with him." Lorenzo cleared his throat and his steps tapped rhythmically on the wooden floor as he paced, "No just chloroform will do." Swallowed hard, what was this all about? He decided it was time to move just as he hung up and moved towards the open door. He slipped away just as Alister craned his head around the corner, a smirk placed on his lips. He lifted up the phone in his hand and scrolled down the list, hitting the dial. It rang once and he smiled at the voice from the other end. He sounded like he was in the street as he heard cars and crowds of people. "Ah Andrew." He grinned and shut the door. * * * Andy couldn't help but stare as Theo ate the red skinned sausage; the way he placed it in his mouth and gently let his lips clasp it before biting. It was driving his mind into a spiral of crazy erotic thoughts. 'Fuck Andrew stop it!' He scolded himself, averting his eyes and breathing out. Stopping in mid bite, flicking his eyes to the side, "What?" He asked, dropping the food on the paper. Andy panicked, a quick reply automatically passing his lips. "Bruises are almost gone now." He winced inwardly. "Yes thank god. Was a real pain having to lie about it and say I got into a fight at the club." To Andy's relief he took it well, and now he took another moment to study his face. "Looks good. You look better," They both smiled at each other. A few hours had passed and the boys were well and truly on their way to getting hammered. Theo was leaning back casually on the couch, Andy sat opposite him and though he was tempted, he had to keep a distance, especially in this state. The light music of the couples favourite album hummed in the background. They laughed and joked Theo's mind was at ease for now, but he then remembered Cal through a certain track and his mood changed. "Hey w-smatter?" Andy slurred. "He hasn't even bothered to call me." "Oh! Maybe he is having a deep dis- dis cu sion." He frowned as he stammered his words. "He doesn't care any more, it's my fault all my bloody fault, I have pushed him away." "Hey no," Andy scooted over and sat next to him, strong scent wafting under his nose as he wrapped his arm around him to comfort him. It made him shudder with excitement and he tried to control his heavy intakes of breath. "I messed up, been such a wimp, and stalling the business." "No look, it is perfectly understandable after what had happened to you." He shot a look at his friend, eyes widening as he realized he knew. "You knew I was...?" "...Yes doesn't take a genius to work it out." He looked down again. "You know Andy he hasn't even touched me, not even in bed." "Maybe it's because he doesn't want to hurt you, you know, maybe he thought it would freak you out." "No, I want him to, it somehow makes it better, like, I dunno..." He trailed off and sipped the drink he held in his hands. "When I try he shrugs me away, well politely anyway. I'm hopeless." "No Theo, you are not! You were a hero today saving that girl and her baby, giving them a new start. You confronted the police and that Frank! I have never seen such courage in you." A few strands of curls that had caught in his lashes flickered as he blinked. Andy desperately wanted to stroke them away, but Theo had already done it himself by the time he raised his hand. Forced a smile as the strong arm squeezed him tighter. "Was funny the way that copper reacted when you kicked him in the nuts," he chuckled, trying to cheer him up. "Yeah." "Listen, about Calvin, you mean the world to him. I see how he looks at you, how he is all over you, protects you. I get jealous sometimes," he admitted bowing his head. "Jealous why?" "Yeah, I wish I had someone, to love, protect, to..." 'I want you,' he closed his eyes in his thoughts. "Oh Andy, I'm sure there is someone out there for you." "Thanks but I think I will be forever alone." "No, we are the closest thing to, well family, I guess. Best friends, the three stooges," he giggled as he sees a smile form on his lips. "Three blind mice more like," Andy quipped. Theo whaled with laughter and Andy joined in, now leaning close to his chest. The warmth radiated off him, his aura of sexual need, the testosterone seeped from him. Stopping to lay down his heavy spinning head, he soon found it resting on Theo's chest. They calmed their laughter and now Andy could feel the soft thuds of his heart and steady breaths through the sweet, clean smelling cotton shirt. His own arousal grew as his eyes lowered down straight in view between his legs, a light bulge humped in the crotch of his jeans. If he was not mistaken, this sweet man was growing hard just as he was. The first sight of this sparked electric surges all through him, right down to his own cock that ached and throbbed painfully. Not only was Theo's cock stirring, his breaths became rapid, the rise and fall of his chest quickened and trembled. 'Fuck he's getting hot' Andy thought as his own heart sped up in response to his sexual desire. "Theo," He uttered softly, lifting his head to look straight into his eyes seeing his enlarged pupils engulfing the green irises in the soft dim light. His mouth curved into a tiny smile and his pulse raced. They stared at each other for what seemed like ages, the passions magnifying between them as they found their faces slowly moving closer. Then suddenly, Andy broke the spell, forcing himself to turn away before he made grave mistake. "I think it's time for bed," he said in an accidentally lusty gruff tone. "I... mean my bed... me ... my bed, you in yours." He turned away, face flushed and burning in embarrassment and arousal. Theo laughed a little awkwardly, "I know. Yeah I'm feeling pretty drunk and we have had such an eventful day." He yawned and rubbed his eyes. "Ok then, c'mon," Andy stood, turning off the stereo with the remote and flicking off the small upright retro lamp. He led Theo to the bedrooms, stopping to say goodnight, and then moving to the box room. He fell on the bed with his hands on his head, tugging back his short thinning strawberry- blonde hair, his cock straining hard under his trousers. "Fuck." * * * Back in the Manor progress was starting to be made as the man of the house had requested no more interruptions. Any messages, emails, or calls he would see to first thing in the morning. "I do apologize for keeping you," he said as he sat down in the armchair next to the fireplace. In his hand was a glass of brandy and Calvin sat opposite him drinking a glass of the same liquor. "No it's fine I see you are a very busy man." "Hmm, I have so much demand you see, and I need my...," He paused, "...My employees to carry out drops and pick ups from all over." "I bet you have a few." "What employees? Yes, but not enough." He eyed him with a downward glance. "Some are... How can I put it, a little overzealous. A bit of power goes their heads, say like to knock someone about if they hadn't got what we requested." A frowned as it bought back a memory of what happened not too long ago to his beloved. He went to speak, but then decided it's wasn't a good time. He barely knew this man, though strangely he felt close to him, as if they were almost alike, like they clicked. "I feel your other colleague slows you down," standing and circled the room before staring back. "Not really," Cal snapped back in defence. "According to Andrew you have slowed down because of this little problem." "Yes but its back on its feet," He lied. In truth, it was going down as punters were losing interest. They hadn't been able to courier or shift the drugs due to Theo's erratic behaviour, and he wasn't going to let Andrew do it alone. It was one of their rules, they stick together. Always, until recently they didn't and shit happened. "Well, maybe you should take another route. I believe you still have a grand's worth of cocaine in your residence?" 'Fucking Andy!' "With all due respect, how much information has my colleague given you?" Gritting his teeth and balled his fists. "Enough." He was smirking again. "How do I know we can trust you? Practically jumped off the chair, only his hands gripping the arm stopping him from punching the conceited bastard right in the nose. How dare he look down on him, like some low classed dealer?! Alister scoffed as saw his aggression. "I gave you my name. Just how hot headed are you Calvin? Would you just lash out or is it true that you do have patience?" He sank back down in the chair and let his fingers relax from gripping the textile. He sensed he was being tested. "I do like my workers to be tough and know how to handle themselves." He was pacing around the room again, much to Cal's irritation. "I do have patience, but not to people who like to purposely antagonise me." "Good!" He walked over to him and looked down, towering over him with an intimidating glare. "Work for me." His mouth dropped open and then closed. "What, we work for you?" "Not we Calvin; just you." "I ... What... What about Andrew and Theo?" "Andrew has already been working for me for the last seven months." That was it, he was now close to blowing a fuse. Andy had said he was a new contact. The little shit had been lying to them, how much has he been keeping from them? He then thought of his precious being alone with him, and now panicked as he knew he could never trust him again. He'd only ever had his own best interest at heart, raking in more money from dealing with Lorenzo. But maybe he was going to approach this in a subtle way? He had arranged this meeting so perhaps he really was genuine on his word that he was protecting their business by involving someone in the higher ranks? He didn't know what to think anymore. Confused, he tipped his head back, a number of questions swirling in his mind. He needed to talk to Red, his so-called friend, he had messed up before. And what about Theo, why wasn't he included? "What about Mr Curtis?" He asked again in the man's defence. "Oh he is...in a manner of speaking," he smiled, eyes narrowed. "So are you in?" Clawing his fingers through his hair and thought for a while. "I'll sleep on it, but you must tell me what is involved." "Sign the contract and all will be revealed." "No I can't do that. I need time, to think, and talk it over with 'MY' partners, I can't make a decision without them." "That is why, Calvin Walsh you have not had the success you desired." "But we do well, well enough. What the... Look I'm sorry...Forget it!" He waved his hand and slammed down his glass, turning to face the door when a calm voice brought him back. "You need to get rid of the coke. The police are already on Theo's back so I suggest you sign and I can shift it for you tonight." He span on his heels, eyes wide open, mouth gaping. "What Police?" "Seems your boy has been a tad irresponsible." He closed his eyes slowly and dropped his head. "No Theo, what have you done?" "Andrew said you were playing with fire taking him on, too naive to do the jobs and him ending up a casualty, and now as predicted its gone pear shaped," he chuckled, "I can still bail you out, whilst there is still time." 'How did he know this? I will kill Andrew Fucking Standley when I get my hands on him, and oh Angel, what has he gotten us into?' Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 07 Tossing and turning, plumping up the pillows the frustrated groan filled the room as he couldn't sleep. The cold place beside empty as is lover was not with him tonight, he was miles away and he missed him so much. He wasn't used to sleeping alone, in fact he couldn't remember the last he slept on his own, Cal was always by his side. It was dark, eerie, and scary, but Andy was only a few metres away and so he pulled off the covers and pattered his bare feet on the wood to the narrow corridor and stopped by the door. "Andy," he knocked lightly. There was no reply so he slowly opened the door, standing in the dark in just his silk black boxers. "Andrew," he whispered louder. The sound of rustling caught his ears, then a long hiss as he breathed through his nose. "What's up?" He said sleepily. "I don't want to be alone tonight, sleep with me?" The music rang in his ears of Theo's plea. Tempted that he could just shoot out of bed straight away and jump in with him, but he didn't want to seem too eager. "I'm only here you're not alone." "I know but, Calvin is not here and it feels cold without him next to me," he shivered and crossed his arms. "Please! Just sleep," voice sounded desperate, what could Andy do but grin widely, not able to be seen in the dark. "Ok get into bed I'll be there in a moment." The sound of sheets uncovered as he got out of bed. Walking back into his room, the moonlight illuminating through the curtains, as his frame formed a silhouette dropped on the bed. The bathroom door opened as Andy had finished using it; his heavy footsteps followed in and entered the room. His breathing a little heavy as he felt the body slip next to him. Theo smiled in comfort, turning to face away, letting a good safe distance between them. He gave a little contented hum as he felt the breath on his neck. "Thanks," He whispered closing his eyes, yet he was still shivering and not with the cold. After a few moments Andy spoke, his voice clear as the silence filled the room, the bed vibrated a little. "You are shivering, Are you cold?" "Yeah come closer if you like," a loud thud of his heart burst in his ears as he felt the body shift back. His cool back pressed against him, having to pull away his hips or would be prodded by an unexpected erection. Theo sighed again, but this was too much and Andy couldn't control himself. "Hold me," Theo murmured, lightly. That last boundary crumbled as he wrapped his arms around his torso; his own quavers uncontrollable and his full hardness engorge, throb with touching his soft skin. His fingers skittered over his chest, caressing him up and down side to side until he accidently found the hard peaks of his nipples and brushed them gently. Breath hitched, it felt good now he was hard unable to deal with inevitable situation that both of them was horny as hell. Another short sharp intake of a gasp and Theo withered his body with the touch, showing him he was enjoying the fingertips embracing him. Andy knew and smiled, trailing over the curves of his shoulder, side, waist and hip, and when he let out a moan his cock twitched. The air was thick with the musky scent. Theo rolled on his back, the face close as the warm breeze brushed his. As he cupped the back of his head he then coaxed him lower, he briefly and raggedly brushed his lips with his, causing Andy to let out a low mumble and part his effortlessly. Slowly and sensually he kissed his friend lightly, until he pushed him down in force and the fall flow of a snog engulfed him. Oh his lips softer than he imagined. The two bodies moved as they kissed fiercely, Theo moaning as he swapped sides to take another angle, folding his lips fully over his, his tongue exploding. In Andy's surprise he swiftly mounted him, the slender body lay parallel to his, rubbing his hard aching dick under silk and cotton. "Oh Fuck Theo," Andrew panted as his arms were gently pushed over his head the nails raked down his triceps to his armpits. Clearly passionate, and was ravishing Andy's neck with impatience pecks, grinding the hard lengths together, tilting his head back and groaning loudly when Andy's response was to buck his hips up to get more. "Jesus Theo, you are so...Hmmmmmf you drive me crazy," he growled and grazed his fingers down his spine, he arched and moaned again. His wrists grasped in the small hands and pinned down again. This made Andrew curious on whom in Cal and Theo's sex play was actually on the receiving end. As much as he liked him to fuck him, it was something that made him nervous. The full blossomed lips found his shoulders and peck lightly again, he wished it wasn't so dark as he wanted to see every pleasured expression on his face, to see his eyes squeezed tight and mouth open as he touched him and made the little sexy man scream. He didn't want to break the moment to turn on the lamp, and the body on top to move as he was enjoying finally having him. His hands moved over every inch of him, something he had wanted for so long. Lower he delved and ran his palm under the shorts and clasped his firm buttocks, pushing more of the damp material that was in the way off. Cupping his balls and up the length and squeezed Theo's rock hard pole. Maddening him more to frenzy as he let out a tiny whimper. In one movement Theo hoisted and removed the underwear, now his leaking head rubbed over Andy's stomach leaving a wet trail as he moved. The swollen lips grazed his nipples, and then licked delicately; Andy uttered his name, feeling the heightened desire consume him. Grinning and grabbed him, pushing him to the side and rolled on him, now he was in charge. "Hmm, bet it's you that get's impaled?" Wanting to be delicate about asking who was the one who was submissive, sneaking it in as dirty play talk. "Yes... yes, fuck me Andy," he struggled under the firm grip. "Mmmmmm say that again." Pulling out his own cock from the confines of his own shorts. "Fuc... ah... ah yes Fuck me Andy," he grunted, the tip of Andy's pre-cumed soaked tip already prodding him and greasing his hole. The hand moved and now his fist closed around the soft curls pulling until Theo whimpered. "SAY IT AGAIN," he ordered. "Ow... argh! Fuck me," he cried the force started to hurt, fingers tingling with lack of supply. The other hand now hovered, stroked gently over his neck and then cupped his chin, the lips pressed hard almost biting. It almost was a threatened strangulation; and he was starting to feel a little anxious as the palms lowered to his throat. But he liked it and Cal could never fulfil this. Was his fantasy, to be treated roughly? He withered and moaned, Andy's cock pressing against his entrance. "Oh god I have waited so long for you to beg me to have you, touch you." Nipping his neck then took his small dark nipples in his mouth and sucked, licked then bit, his hands still grapping his throat, and hair, dangerously close to thrusting into him, hard and slow, making him beg for more as he fucked him endlessly. "Like it rough do you?" He grinned hearing the tiny whimpers in the power of the restrain. "Hmm that's good. Yes you're a hot piece of ass and I have been dying to fuck you. You are a tease. Don't you think I don't know that you flirt with me, subtly and you know how much I fancy you?" Those words shot through him it was a horrible recollection spoken before, but then he cried out as Andy grabbed his thighs and pulled to split open his legs, shoving hard and slid into him roughly. Theo now screamed out, gripping Andy's shoulders as the he fucked him wildly. He moved his hand and enclosed his fist around Theo's cock rubbing hard and grunting with each push. He twisted and pulled the headboard almost off the bed as he moaned, jolting up with in rhythm of Andy's thrusts. "Come for me Theo," he uttered in his ear breathlessly, "I want to hear, I want to touch you I want to fuck you and I cum in that pretty mouth." "Touch me!" he whispered all so softly. It was more than he could take, exploding his senses, growling more lower than he had been screaming in pleasure, his hot fluid spilled over the hand, shaking as Andy made him climax. "Mmmm" Andy rumbled in his throat, pulling out of him then straddling his chest, poking between his lips. "Suck me off," He demanded pushing them apart with the prods then the hot moist mouth took him all, down to his throat. He pushed in more, Theo was almost gagging, muffled cries and tears rolled down the sides, then his mouth filled with hot thick cum, swallowing him all. Andy tilted back his head and roared. A quiet moment had passed, throwing the covers back over them panting still, the smell of sweaty bodies and cum dense in the room. 'What have we done?' Andy Thought as he stroked the curls softly that tickled his chest, Theo resting on him and read is mind "Cal shall never know about this ok?" He uttered lazily. Andy nodded as he caressed his shoulder; he was sleeping now, sighing and smiling at him, protecting him in his arms, lightly kissing his cheek, before closing his own eyes. * * * Cal went up to the room, looking at his watch that told him it only just past Ten. He was weary and needed to call Theo and Andy and demand what the hell had happened. When he had a moment in the guest suit he dialled the home phone number, but it was engaged. This raised his fears more, or maybe it just could be that his absent minded boyfriend had just hadn't put it on the hook properly. He then began to speed dial Andy, nothing just voice mail, then Theo's cell phone; again voice mail. He grumbled that he always forgets to charge up his phone, nagging at him endlessly about it most of the time. He bet he did that before the run-in with Kenneth. The battery dead, so he couldn't reach him in that dire need. He sighed deeply and dropped on the bed, speed dialling Theo again. "Baby it's me, charge your bloody phone or turn it on will ya! Look it's urgent. Listen what is this about the police? Andy! Has he told you anything about Mr Lorenzo, call me back love, I miss the sound of your voice, please!" His last words became soft and loving. "I love you, I hope you are ok." He then hung up and laid back; scrubbing his face with his hands he had no other way out, and feared he was already in a police cell. In his office Alister had a chance to catch up on his calls. He received a few and one that he needed to deal with urgently, picking up the phone and called back who he needed to talk to. As he answered the loud music and cheers boomed in his ears, taking the ear peace away. "Shut that fucking Door!" He barked. "Sorry Boss" The man on the other side apologized, doing so to block out the noise and hear the call. "Have you sorted out what you will have to do? You make sure he is alone, I have instructed so, so it doesn't look suspicious." His tone was sharp and firm. "All plans going ahead Boss, we are going to wait until he has left the building, maybe wait a while then I will send my men in." "Good, bring him here in one piece, I know you can get a little carried away at times, so just knock him out yes?" "Yes Boss," sounding disappointed. "But what if the Law has gotten to him already?" "I have sorted that out, made a call, leading them off the scent; they will be raiding a building in Islington by now" He smiled. "Wouldn't it be easy just to waste him?" He couldn't resist his evil intentions. "We could just shoot him, quick easy and done!" "NO! It has failed before, and caused uproar with the law. I have already negotiated with them by tipping off Brown!" He lifted up the glass and brushed it against his lips. "Sure Boss, plans is in check." "Good, I will call and signal when it is right and it may need a more little time. If he has decided to comply then we will not need the trouble of kidnapping his associate." He pressed end call and leaned back in the chair, all was going his way, as long as his employee doesn't mess it up. On the recipients end he gathered his assistances. "What are we to do Boss? Are we carrying out Lorenzo's Instructions?" The bulky tall man stood by the desk as the man in authority practically threw down the phone. "Fuck he thinks he is?" He spat, jaw clenched in anger. "I think it is better all round if I took care of him my way." "What would that be?" The other man said who wasn't the brightest crayon in the pack. He glared at him, "do him in, but I have an idea," he pointed upwards. "If we can get Mcgiffern to do it, then that pompous fuck! Won't suspect it was me, he already had instruction from the Boss to bring them there and. Exterminate." * * * Narration Skip if you have worked it out - read if not Ok now time to explain a little from this. Mcgiffern was a notorious bounty hunter; made sure that all the less cooperative or unpunctual clients that cross the Path of Mr Lorenzo, were seen to so to speak. He seeks them out and hits them with a sniper gun. You don't know when you have been targeted, you hear nothing then you are stone cold dead with any one around left wondering were the gunman came from. Recently he was instructed to carry out this call of duty, but failing, something he never did, until there was an obstacle, using his pistol was something he rarely did. Lorenzo wriggled out of it as the police got involved, tipping them off about Eddy Brown, who had received a packaged on that very day. - Hint! Have you grasped it yet? Well more will tell through-out this story. * * * The morning sun like a flood light gleamed through the gap in the curtains. Theo turned and reached out his arm, the other covering his eyes from the glare, seeking the body that was next to him through-out the night. But as he opened his eyes he saw an empty space. 'Was that a dream?' He asked himself rubbing his throbbing head; he knew that getting drunk wasn't as the hangover kicked in well and truly. He groaned and sat up, feeling bare he looked down, yes he was naked! But did he and Andy..? "Shit" He cursed, taking in the familiar scent from his body and sheets that reeked of male fluids and Andy's cologne. He shot up and furiously and started to strip the bed, putting the pile in the laundry basket near the door in the bathroom, shutting the lid. 'Calvin would never know,' he kept saying to himself, or I could say I spilt a drink over the covers, yes that's a good one." He sighed deeply then frowned, finding his shorts and slipping them over his hips, then heading to see where his over-nighter had gone. "Andy?!" He called as he found the entire flat empty and quiet; if Andy was here there was no doubts he would be frying breakfast. He went to the table where he found a note, picking it up him read it out loud. "Theo. I'm sorry I have to dash off, I need to sort the accounts for the restaurant and Sarah is off sick. I promise I will be back as soon as I can. I have brewed some coffee for you as I know how you like my coffee. Andy P.S. Was a great night thanks! "Great" He huffed, throwing down the paper, feeling totally lost now. Looking over he saw the cafetiere and one single cup, smiling and shaking his head as he poured himself a drink. * * * He woke up a little disorientated on where the hell he was, patting the side of his bed where he had missed his man, aching to see him, touch him and kiss him again. Reaching for his phone that he had left on all night in the hope his friends would get in contact. Looking at the blank screen. Sighing deeply he got up dressing before he wondered down to breakfast as Alister told him before he retired. He sat at the table, coffee, tea, juice croissants and toast, a section of jams and marmalades laid on a massive silver tray. To be honest he wasn't at all that hungry, feeling a little distressed at this whole thing, his stomach knotted his heart ached, and mood very low. The dashing proprietor came into the room, fresh in a new suit jacket, black trousers, and a smart white shirt. "Good Morning I trust you slept well?" Grinned seating down and pouring out the cup of black coffee. "Not really." Cal's eyes felt heavy as he spend most of the night thinking, restless, feeling something was terribly wrong with this whole thing. "I didn't want you to loose sleep over this," he looked in sympathy and genuinely surprising in a good mood, as his tone was a lot friendlier. "Well it did." On the other hand Cal was the complete opposite. "Oh, well you needn't worry about Theodore, he is ok," he looked up, "For now! I took the liberty to take the weight off you and give you a little more time to think, see how you feel, and in the mean time get a chance to shift the goods yourself," he crossed his fingers and lent his chin on his hands. "Thank you Alister," now smiling, feeling guilty for his grumpiness and slightly relived as he had been banging his head against the wall with worry all night. "Pleasure. Now I have asked Mr Steel to take to back to London after breakfast, least I can do for making your driver wait so long before sending him back. Don't worry he was paid generously for his time. I will call you in say... a fortnight ok?" "That's fine by me." Relieve washed over him like cool soothing waterfall, as he will soon return to his lover in a few hours and catch up with all that has been going on, and also give Andy a piece of his mind. He now found his appetite and tucked into the toast, mind at ease knowing there was no pressure and he would decline his offer, having time to sort out his problem with the stash, after a very close call. Maybe leave a little wiser and tread carefully in future. Someone burst through the door and Theo jumped, making a little noise of surprise, half expecting the police or someone else to be standing in front of him as he shot around at the sound. But when he saw the big, bright dark eyes, and the wide warm smile on the face of the man he loved, he opened his arms wide. The man ran up to him at great speed, taking him in his arms, and held him so tightly he thought he would squeeze all the air out of him. "Oh god I have missed you so much!" He mumbled into his shoulder, deeply inhaling the man's scent, his eyes squeezed together, rocking his lover slightly in the tight embrace, clinging on to him for dear life. He pulled away to arms length, still clutching on to him, and searched his face. "Are you alright, are you hurt?" He asked in concern. "I am fine, just fine." He let his fingers stroke his forearms. "You... what was this entanglement with the police?" "Oh?" Theo averted his eyes and looked at the floor. He felt his long fingers on his chin, tilting his chin up to meet the big beautiful almond eyes. "It's a long story," he finally muttered as Cal searched for an answer. Slowly he moved away and sat down hard on the chair, trying to figure out how to tell his lover he was on the run. "I don't really know what happened. We were on our way to drop some stuff off, "he paused and looked up again, those eyes still staring hard at him. "We got caught up with some homeless in some dodgy backstreet and..." "...Wait! The fuck were you doing in slumming city? You know we never ever go near them." "Andy, he..." "...Yes Andy," slapping his thigh and straightened up quickly. "I have a fair few things to say to our friend Andrew-Robert-Standley," he growled, making Theo freeze as he thought he had found out what they had done, but he continued with his rant. "Did you know that piece of shit was working for the man I just had a meeting with? Months and he didn't even have the decency to tell us." Dropping his eyes again, Theo folded his lips in a thin line. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 07 "Fuck, I mean what else has that bastard been hiding from us?" He stood up quickly and balled his fists, turning around so his back was to the Blonde man, who quickly snatched the note still on the table and crumpled it up in his hand and shoved it in his pocket, swallowing hard. "I'm sorry, I'm sure he meant to, or he had a reason." Cal then darted a look at him. "Did you know?" He asked pointedly. "N-no I didn't," he sank down. "I swear." He stood and walked over to him, rubbing his shoulders to ease his tight muscles. "I had a strange feeling something wasn't right when we did the drop, or didn't." Cal shrugged him off and turned around, again an expression of wanting an explanation filled his face. "Someone came after us, he was shooting at us, and we got away," he sighed as he saw seething breaths, nostrils flared. "It was the homeless man who took the bullet, very close to me. "Who, shot?!" "We don't know we didn't see them clearly." "Oh Jesus." Now he thumping the air. "Who was the person you had to do the drop for?" "Mc- gif- Err?" "Mcgiffern?" "Yeah that's him," he grinned, but Cal dropped his head and rubbed the bride of his nose. "Why, what's up?" Theo asked slowly, trying to see the face under the long tousled hair "You know who that man is?" "No," smiled innocently. "He's..." Stopping mid-speech, a knock bought his attention to the door. "Red." The man called from behind it. Cal turned away, forgetting the conversation he was having for now, as another was about to begin. He was going to demand to know what Andy was playing at. He swung open the door, catching by surprise, as he stood glaring down at him with his arm folded. "Oh hi Vin, you're back then?" He said unconcernedly. "Yes I am. Do come in Andy." He waved his arm to let him pass, a smirk planted on his lips as he firmly shut the door after him. Like a wolf luring in a sheep to his den. Andy walked in casually, with no knowledge of what Cal knew, and then without warning he was moving fast through the air, roughly slamming into the wall. The other man's fists grabbed his caramel leather jacket, teeth showing like a snarling dog. "Jesus Vin... what...the fuck...?" "Y-you lying cunt!" He barked, pulling him forward then shoving him back again. "What did I do?" Andy tried not to look at the other party who was biting his lip with a worried stare, frightened to death that he'd told them they'd fucked. "You have been working with him for months and you never thought to tell us?! Some fucking friend Red!" Spitting out making a point of calling him by his code name and not as someone they would consider a friend. Andy breathed out in relief. "I was going to tell you, I swear." He was pushed back again. "When? Tomorrow, next fucking Month, year?" "I was, as soon as I knew what he was asking of you." "As if you didn't know! He knew about the little run in with the police, the stash of coke we have here, and Theo's and mines sex life practically." "Hey, that was a bit over-exaggerated." "Don't you dare come here and tell me I'm exaggerating Standley!" "How did he know about the law?" The little voice piped up from the corner, and was now walking over. "Well, he asked you a question Andy?" Grabbed him again, eyes burning dark with anger. "I don't know, I really don't!" "BOLLOCKS!" He shouted, now slamming him repeatedly against the wall. "Calvin, stop it!" Theo cried, disturbed by the violence. "Why McGiffern, Andy? Why him? Do you have any idea who you are dealing with?!" The penny dropped as he stopped thrashing him about and looked up in realization. He dropped the man who rubbed himself where he was hurt, and Cal turned away, pacing across the room. Andy and Theo exchanged worried looks. Alister's' words were still fresh in his mind, that Theo was safe for now, and that he had sorted something so he could get rid of the goods before the law got a sniff of what they had. He turned to Andy, who flinched, scared that he was going to get attacked again, or even get a painful blow from his angry fist. "Sit down and tell me everything that happened yesterday," he ordered pointing to the sofa. Andy looked at Theo but he dropped his head and turned his back on him. "And you." He now directed at his boyfriend, who turned around and started to slowly walk to the lounge area. Once they were all sitting Andy went to open his mouth, but was stopped by the palm of a hand over his face. He asked Theo to speak first. He listened closely, without interruption to what they had to say, and when they were done he bent down, leaning his forehead on his arms and sighing deeply. "We've got to shift the entire stock." "You still haven't told us about this man that could have been shooting at us," Andy said bravely as Cal frowned at him. "McGiffern, he is a hit man." "No, shit!" Both men said together. "And you dropped the gear right?" "Yeah, but not all of it." "To who, Mcgiffern?" "No, Eddy Brown," Andy inturruped. "I still think they have us mixed up with someone else, like that bloke that shot Frank?" Theo said, again opening his mouth without thinking. "No, he would be protected if it was this hit man. The only thing I can think of is they were after you. The hunter was steering you towards getting arrested if he was unsuccessful, making sure you were caught in possession, red handed." "We were set up?!" Theo shrieked wide eyed. "Yes, it looks probable." "But who the hell would do that? Who have we got on the wrong side of...?" Both men looked accusingly at Andy, who shrank low in his seat. "Hey wait, no I..." "How then? How had they been tipped off, hmm?" "Look I had no idea that this McGiffern was the same bloody man did I..." "..Funny, never aim for you... seemed to take a shot at me. And they are renowned never to miss, "Theo said randomly, but he was ignored. "Killing Frank who had me in a lock." "No, but it is his job to check this out! To make sure everything is safe, but no! Seems you have fucked up yet again!" "I'm sorry." "NO ANDY, THIS IS TWICE TOO MANY!" Cal shot up from the couch and walked from the front door to the lounge and back again, running his hands through his hair. "I'm sorry," Andy whimpered. "You almost got him killed, how the hell am I supposed to trust you with his care again?" His eyes brimmed at the thought of his lover getting hurt, killed almost the second time. Andy dropped his head, and sniffed loudly. "I'm sorry Vin, I will never, never be incompetent again." "DAMN FUCKIN RIGHT YOU WON'T!" He spun around and moved quickly to the man in the chair, pointing his finger at him in a threatening manner. Andy flinched. He balled his hands, ready to hit him, but instead punched the air and slammed it against the closed door that led to the restrooms. He then leant on it, palms pressing, his head low, shaking hard. "Cal?" He was called, rushing over and wrapping his arms around him, caressing him and holding him tenderly. "I think you had better leave Andy," He asked gloomily, still embracing his lover. Doing so, looking back at the two as he opened the door. "Thanks a lot Theo," He said harshly, before shutting it after him. 'Why would they want him out of the way?' Cal asked himself, feeling the gentle hands on him and reaching down to hold them tightly. "Come on," he said as he turned around slowly, still grasping them with his. "Let's spend the day just lazing in bed yeah? Forget the world and the worries for a few hours, just me and you." Theo smiled and nodded, letting him lead him to their room hand in hand. The smell of fresh clean bedding filled his nostrils as he laid his head on the pillow. Theo had made a special effort to get the flat clean and tidy for when he returned. Of course that wasn't the only reason; he also had to get rid of all signs of debauchery from the night before. The guilt lingered in his stomach as Cal lay down next to him, on the very bed he had had sex with Andy in the night before. Right now, he felt nothing but regret as he was disgusted by his so-called friends lies, and his way of pointing the finger like he was trying to wriggle out of something. But as Cal had said, it was time to just let things float by for the time being, and he settled down with his nose nesting in the crook of his lover's neck, arm firmly wrapped around him. He breathed in his familiar fragrance, and contently closed his eyes. "Calvin," he whispered, feeling his urges stirring. "Make love to me." "If you are sure love, I don't..." "..I want to." Looking up to gaze lovingly into his eyes, clarifying that he was sure, and in a way, to make up for what he had done. Maybe then the shame would disappear. Hesitantly moved his hands, running one over the arms and shoulders, the lusty green irises gazing back almost lazily. Gently his fingertips brushed his cheek with a single stroke, the uncertainty still visible in the brunette mans face, but Theo closed his eyes and leaned into his touch, encouraging him to keep going. He continued mapping his features, taking in every detail of his beauty. He had missed him so much. The softer touch intervened as he held on to his hand and stopped him, his eyes hooded, the look of pleasure overtaking him with a small gasp. Cal had longed for this, but he hadn't been able to bring himself to touch him after what that monster had done to him. Theo had already given in, rolling on top of him and kissing him passionately. Cal snapped open his eyes in utter amazement at how rampant he had become within a few short moments of tenderly being touched. His T-shirt pulled up as the full lips ravished him. The fingertips danced over every inch of his body, tiny licks brushing over his nipples raking his fingers through the dark sporadic hair that gathered each side of them, and in the middle of his chest drawing the tip of his tongue over the impressive body. Theo's hips ground down, finding the hard package beneath the black denim gliding under him. He rubbed slowly, grinning as he heard a low groan, his body trembling as his nimble fingers snuck under his clothing to reach his heated skin. Crossing his arms and grabbing the hem of his T-shirt he pulled it off and threw it on the floor, guiding the tentative hands forward, coaxing them to touch him more, and gazing down. "It's alright, you can touch me," Theo murmured, and with that they needed no assistance to roam. They stroked down and bumped over his ribs, the bruising barely visible now, but it was painful to him to have the knowledge that once they were a dark-bluish purple, now yellowed shaded. It made his heart clench, but then his hands suddenly stopped, seeing a fresh bruise on Theo hip. Theo opened his eyes and wondered why he had stopped his pleasing touches. "What's wrong?" He asked with saddened eyes. "I... I can't." "You can. It's alright, I promise," taking his own hands with his and linked their fingers, guiding them over his chest, down to his waist and hips, rocking gently. "Where did you get that?" Circling his finger gingerly over the new wound. "Oh I knocked it on that pointed worktop by the door." Giggling nervously as he lied. He didn't want to worry or anger him more by telling the truth that he had gotten a vicious kick from the now deceased hobo. He just held him hostage not kicked twice. "I told you someone would hurt themselves if you didn't mend it." He put on a wifely voice. "Argh stop nagging." Cal grinned playfully, but in his mind he knew he was lying to him. He could tell by the way his eyes flickered downwards. "Come here." He uttered, pulling by his arms to kiss his sweet lips once more. His fingers tangled through damp curls, soft and bouncy to the touch. Theo now moved downwards over the man's trembling stomach as he snickered under the ticklish hair, stopping at the waistline and gingerly unzipping him. Gasped and moaned as his hard cock was pulled from the tight confines of his jeans and underwear, quickly being enveloped with a hot wet sensation. "Oh-oh god that feels so good," he hissed, stroking the golden ringlets as he sucked him tenderly. He watched as the pouting lips closed around his length, his cock disappearing as Theo took him in fully and pulled back again, now glistening with the man's saliva. "Oh-h." He tilted his head back and closed his eyes. "You are always so good at that." He mumbled into the pillow. He felt the lips stretch into a sneaky smile, and then continue to pump, now a little faster, causing his lover to grip the mattress and spring his hips. Tongue swirled over the head, collecting the sweet juices of his pre-cum, humming as the flavour hit his taste buds, savouring it. " I'm gonna..," held his head and pulled him up, meeting those alluring eyes which were full of desire and lust. Theo knelt and Cal shifted closer so his body was propped on his groin. Kissing him softly and undoing his trousers, slipping them down past his thighs, followed quickly by his shorts. He drew away and looked deeply into his eyes. "Are you sure?" Theo nodded faintly and reached down to fully remove the garments from his legs. Their full, hard cocks slicked together as Cal palmed them both, hair now brushing his neck as Theo leant his chin on his shoulder, whimpering and moaning into his ear. "Fuck me," He murmured between gasping breaths. Stopping, moved to look at him, still feeling unsure as to whether he could do it. But he would not give in, pushing the man gently back and straddling him so he didn't have a choice. He lifted up and let his bottom down, the hard, slippery length sliding in easily as he gasped. He took him in to the hilt, and started to bounce. The two figures entwined together, the loud cries filing the room the only discernible words being utters of names in heightened pleasure. Theo rode his man hard, Cal's fingers gripping the handles of his hip bone to steady and control him. Smoothing his thumbs over the edge of his fair pubic line. "Ah yes... Theo!" He bit his lip, close to coming. He gripped the other mans thick cock tightly in his fist and proceeded to get him off at the same time as he did. With a short inhaled breath and a low elongated growl, Theo jerked, his mouth forming an 'O' as he called out in orgasm, spilling his ribbons over Cal's fingers and belly. He sped up and bore down, feeling the hot rush of Cal's he came with a loud cry. A double chorus of moans filled the room and then quietened as they fell asleep, resting in each other's arm, breaths steady as they slept safely. For now. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 08 8 The next few days were spent busily removing the contraband from their spare room. Both men were on edge, twitching at every sound. They were paranoid that they were going to get raided at any moment, but Alister had said they were ok for the time being, and Cal believed him. He had given him two weeks to think about his offer, but he'd already decided on his answer. No. In that time they played it safe, getting rid of their stock until things died down. They had money still in their accounts to get them by for the moment, and just in case, they took on a few extra shifts at the Swan Inn. Andy stayed at a distance after the argument they'd had. Just calling with information about who wanted what gear and where, and of course, he drove with them to the drops, but other than that he stayed back, keeping things just purely business. Stopping off at the shop, Calvin wanted to grab some cigarettes leaving the two alone in the car whilst he got some, asking if they needed anything while he was there. "Grab me a bottle of Pepsi, please," Theo asked politely. "Red?" Cal asked the tall man sitting in the driver's seat, almost bluntly as he still was pissed off with him. "Na, I'm alright, cheers." Andy barely looked at him. "Won't be a tic, I'm I sure I can trust you two?" He narrowed his eyes at the red-head, who blushed. "Of course, what mischief can we get up to in a car?" Theo replied. Cal made a sound of uncertainty as he closed the car door. Once he had disappeared through the sliding ones of the Spar shop Andy cleared his throat to speak. "You ain't told him then?" He said from the side of his mouth. "Of course I haven't, what do you take me for?" He growled lowly. "Pretty sure you didn't do it to spite him then?" "No. Look what we did was a mistake, a bloody stupid mistake." "Thanks a lot and here's me thinking you cared." "I do! It's just difficult. What do you reckon he'd do if he knew, huh? You saw how furious he was when he got back, about our tangle with the police. He'll break your neck." "Takes two to tango Theo!" Andy said brashly. "And if I wasn't mistaken, you took the lead." Theo sighed and leaned back against the back seat. "I'm sorry if I led you on, it was just, I was..." "...Lonely? Yes I know and I was your substitute shag." "Don't say it like that, Andy." He turned in the seat, the leather creaking as he twisted around to look at him. "I'm lonely, and to me you were a damn good remedy. I do actually give a damn about you and it hurts me to know..." He trailed off, turning back to look through the windscreen, eyes following a young lady struggling with her screaming child across the road. "...What, that I'm with Calv, and not you? I've seen how you look at me; how you gawp like you want to strip me where I stand. You were touching me more often, then all the bloody time and now you've had me, there! So now you can stop fantasizing." "You can be a real bastard sometimes," Andy clicked disapprovingly. "You never used to be, what's changed you?" He sounded hurt now. "I have to be, remember what you said? 'Toughen up Theodore, be a man.' Well I am now, after you got me raped and almost shot. It's only thing I can do to close out the pain." Andy tapped on the steering wheel, looking to the direction of the shop. He had nothing more to say, but Theo was right. He had said that, and because of it he had grown harder, and probably bitterer too. "I'm sorry," he breathed, dropping his head. "I wish I could turn back time, I wish I'd never made you do that drop or got involve you with the...," he stopped, realizing what he had just said, and closed his eyes, inwardly kicking himself. Lucky for him, Theo didn't grasp anything. "No its ok, I'm sorry for being a prick." He leaned forward between the front seats, trying to catch Andy's eyes staring until the blue ones locked with his. Andy was moving forward by instinct, his heart hammering in his chest as he captured the beautiful green spheres. "Theo... I..." The door opened and he shot back. Andy coughed and started the engine as Cal slid into the car. He sat back, looking curiously at the two, and handed his boyfriend the bottle of pop, switching a glance between them as he slowly fastened his belt. "What are you two plotting now?" He asked cynically. "Nothing," Theo jumped in. "I was just going to apologizing for how I behaved," Andy started. "I have been out of order and I still value our friendship." He caught the dark glare in the rear view mirror. "I really don't want us to fall out, so please accept my apology and come to dinner at the restaurant tonight, on me. I'll even throw in a bottle of our best champagne." "What you reckon Babe, you think he really means it?" Almost teasing. "Yeah, I forgive him." He grinned, but Andy furrowed a brow at him through the mirror. "Ok, then we accept." Cal smiled, feeding a hand between the two front seats and receiving a firm handshake. "Good." "But no more fuck ups you hear?" "Sure, I cross my heart and hope to die." They hurried to Camden to drop off some gear to Betsy Kershaw, a trusted customer who had told them she would take some more off their hands to sell to her closest friends. "Ah bookies," Andy chimed as he stopped outside Baker Street. "God no" "Won't be long, got a good tip on the gee gees." "Oh that's it, we will have to set up camp now," Calvin joked, sparking up a fag and offering one to his boyfriend. "Yep." Theo felt an arm wrap around him, pulling him close. It was nice that they were back to normal, and having fantastic sex every night, or whenever they had a chance. "So dinner tonight, if he ever gets out of there?" "Sounds nice," kissed his cheek, sneaking his hands over Cal's thigh causing him to almost choke. He rubbed upwards, a kinky glint in his eye, finding a clad bulge and squeezing tightly. Cal hissed and dropped his head back, letting him touch more. Chucking the cigarette butt out of the window and taking Theo's from his two fingers, he dragged it to the end and repeated the process. Now cupping his face between his hands he licked over his full lips. Moaning, rubbing harder, and letting his lips part to let him in and kiss fully. Both men were fondling each other and practically fucking on the back seat of the car. They were getting carried away with each other, hands raking over, passionate pants and moans filling the air, until a knock on the window startled them and they vaulted up a little flushed. "Oi, no fucking in my car." Andy bent down, a stern but light hearted look in his eyes. "Just got the interior cleaned." "Sorry," the flushed cheeks smirked as Andy got into the driving seat, wiping his mouth from drool, feeling hot and not just because it was about 25 degrees today, but thinking about his business partner on his back naked. "Better take you home if you can't keep your hands off each other." He started the engine and gazed into space for a moment, the memory of hearing his pleasured cries, his scent, and his body writhing under him, his pleas and moans as he came. He breathed out hard and fidgeted to control his now swollen cock. He could smell him in the seat behind. This stifling day his sweat mingled with his cologne, recapturing his aroma from that night he rammed him hard. 'Oh god I really want you and I will...' He grinned inwardly as he drove them back home. A few more days passed and it was drawing near to the time when Calv would have to tell Lorenzo that he had to decline his offer. And what was the deal with Theo? He had said, in a manner of speaking that he was involved. Was he in with Andy too? He didn't know so he wanted to call a meeting and talk about what was going on, and to finally tell the two what Lorenzo wanted. Theo had been asking but he had been avoiding the question, telling him that he was to call at the end of the week to get more details. He was busy in the kitchen that Saturday. It was late afternoon and he was making his special lasagne that Cal loved. He liked it when his man was enthusiastic about cooking; when he was in the mood he made the best lasagne ever. Andy had even asked if he could make some for the restaurant, but it was a little too much pressure for him as he only liked cooking in the comfort of his own home and for the man he loved dearly. Andy turned up with a bottle of wine and put it on the table as he walked in, inhaling the delicious aroma of the food and tapping Theo's shoulder so he could look at what he was doing. "You have to do this again," he grinned standing a little too close and causing Cal to clear his throat as he came in from having a shower, dressed in his white shirt and blue jeans. "Hi, brought some wine," handing a paper wrapped bottle to the host. "Great, though we have plenty." He accepted it then popped on the table before binding up his wet tangled hair and sat down. Taking three glasses from the cupboard and set them at the dining room table, uncorking the wine and pouring it out. He took one and brought it over to the cook, who smiled in thanks. "For the chef," he said as he gazed into his eyes. The smiled dropped and he averted his eyes. "Here," He handed one to Cal and finally took one for himself, sitting on the cream butter sofa and nodding his head to the music. "Won't be long," Theo called, almost burning his fingers on the dish as he took it out of the oven to check. He then put the bowel of salad he was preparing and some bread on the table, already laid for dinner, and skipped back to the kitchen to clean up. Andy followed him out of the corner of his eye, studying his backside in the tight pair of black shorts. "What you think?" Calvin asked, bringing him back and almost stopping his heart as he thought he was rumbled. "Huh?" He turned, seeing he was holding a CD case in his hands and waving it at him. "Oh yeah, not bad." He pretended to sound interested, but really he hadn't been listening at all. "Yeah, heard them the other day on the radio, thought they were kinda catchy." Andy looked at the cover but flicked his eyes away again as the Theo sat next to his man, glass of red wine in his hand. His white vest top clung to his chest, showing every curve of his body, defining the muscles of his golden sun-kissed arms and shoulders. "You've been working out?" He observed. He grinned inanely. "Maybe a little." "Yeah, he's turned our back yard into a Gym, catching a little sun in the process," Cal rolled his eyes. "So what's this meeting about?" Andy changed the subject, putting the case to the side. "Dinner first, ok?" This could be difficult. Theo would probably flip out at the thought of him leaving him, but he wasn't going to, he was certain of that! And the business was going to be ok. But what if Lorenzo took it badly? What if he wouldn't take no for an answer? He could still have the police raid them, and although they would now find nothing, they still were in danger of it happening in the future when they had their stock back. And Theo the connection with the shooting and drug deal. No, he had to approach Andy and see if he could take over the hiding of the stash. They sat around the table and finished the meal, Andy as usual having his second large portion. "This is just too good," muffled with his mouth full, maybe a little over the top. Theo just sat with his hands under the table, looking innocent and smiled. "Thanks, its nothing really, a simple meal." Calvin was sat deep in thought, trying to figure out a way of approaching this conversation. "Ok guys, I think I should tell you what has been going on." He suddenly broke the silence, placing his cutlery neatly together on the empty plate and wiping off the remaining crumbs from his bristles with a napkin. The two other men raised their head in interest, staring at him, waiting. "I expect you have been wondering why Mr Lorenzo asked to see me." He began rubbing his hands together nervously. "Well, he told me that our business could do a lot better and that we would be protected by the law or otherwise. A tempting offer I must say but....," he looked at Theo who was creasing his thick brows. "...He asked me to work with him." He felt the eyes burn him again as he knew this would upset the one who was glaring at him. "We work for him? I dunno sounds..." "...No Theo just me" "No!" he squealed, "What about Andy, me?" "I already do, and you know that now, that's why I couldn't tell you. He told me Vin would be a great asset to the business, that he was a good man for the job." "Thanks a lot guys," he sulked. "Look I'm not going to take it love," stroking his arm. "He gave me two weeks and a chance to get rid of the gear as he knew the police were on to us. He said if I signed the contract he would shift it for us, but we managed it ourselves didn't we, huh?" "I still want to know how he knew all this." Cal looked at Andy accusingly. "Hey, I never told anyone nothing! and anyway, Theo was with me the whole time so how could I have called without him seeing?" "You were alone whilst I took a shower, whilst you went out sort the car," glaring resolutely at him. "Jesus guys, do you not have faith in me at all?" "No Red. It's all too fucking convenient that the same guy that requested the drugs was a hit man. And that the law got a tip off from someone, most likely McGiffern," he stopped the growled. "Who told Mcgiffern about us?" He brushed his whiskers, pondering to himself and trying to put the jigsaw together. "Mr Lorenzo, Calv...?" Theo guessed, seeming to be spot on as he knew all about the deal with the police. "Why would he, unless he was trying to... Oh god!" He stood up and paced the room, turning to his beloved who gazed back worriedly. "That's how he sorted it, that's why he tipped someone else to the police, someone who had recently had possession of coke. Eddy Brown was a target, oh nice one Andy why him?" "Blackmail?" Theo whispered in some kind of trance. "Something like that, yeah." Andy sat quietly, a little too quietly. His pulse raced, his heart thundering in his head, face flushed almost crimson as he knew they were about unleash something, and if they did then he would dead. "Why would he try to kill me or Andy...or get us locked up?" Theo looked up as fear washed over. "He is sent to murder uncooperative dealers," Andy then spoke up, rather coldly. Theo's breath hitched at this word, 'Murder'. "But he hasn't done anything to anyone to get hunted, they only go for the ones who have crossed a superior or not paid their dues." Cal was pointing and getting frustrated, mined swirling with questions and possible links on who would want his lover out of the way. He didn't have the heart to tell him what he had worked out, knowing he would be a complete wreck. "How have we have crossed anyone to get us targeted huh? Oh my god," Theo's eyes wide and now starting to tremble, clasping his hands over his mouth. "What angel?" "Club... C....," he was hyperventilating; his body teetered as he struggled to get his words out. "What?" Cal rubbed his back to calm him. "Noir-Kenneth... oh-no." He couldn't breathe now and Calvin rushed to get him some water, telling him to breathe slowly and empty his mind of the fears that had gripped him so hard as to cause this. "How could he be involved? No, not by a long shot unless..." He now looked back to Andy. He was cursing now; he had to do something to distract them from discovering anything more. He stood and moved towards the two men. Cal looked up as his red-faced friend towered over him. Theo was breathing hard, like a frightened rabbit, trembling and staring at an invisible spot on the wall. "Andy, the truth! We want the truth right now!" He barked and stood up tall. "Ok you want the truth?" He clenched his jaw. "Theodore didn't we agree no more secrets, no more lies? Well I think we had better tell your boyfriend! What we did," an evil glint flashed in his eyes, something which they had never seen before, and actually found it quite unnerving. "What ya mean?" Cal furrowed a brow, and Theo suddenly looked up, shaking his head. 'No Andy don't!' "That we fucked!" His words spat out like venom and the room fell into a deadly silence. Theo closed his eyes and dropped his head. Shit!! Cal froze and shook his head. "You're lying. Why would he ever want to even touch a repulsive, lying scumbag like you?" "He was all over me, lonely cos you weren't there when he needed you." "It was you that sent me to Lorenzo's. You dragged him out to get this job done, you who almost got him killed. Was 'you' that probably assisted his assault in some sick way, getting kicks out of it?" "How could you say that?" "Because you," He poked his chest hard, "are always near him, watching him, undressing him with your eyes. You, you think I hadn't noticed, huh? You know what? If it is true then I bet you fucking did what that Kermit did to him," he seethed through his teeth. "I bet you arranged that meeting just so you could have him to yourself." Andy raised his fist but Theo jumped up blocking him by standing in front of the six-foot-tall man and stared straight into Cal's the angry eyes. "It's true," he croaked and dropped his head "I'm sorry, I led him on, it's entirely my fault." Cal's mouth flapped without words. He shook his head slowly, and tears formed in his eyes. "No, why, how could you?" He switched glances between the two men, turning around and heading for the door, grabbing his keys and phone off the side and shoving them into his back pocket. "Wait, where are you going?" His man ran after him only to be pushed away cruelly. "Just... I need to clear my head. I can't deal with this right now," waving his hands frantically. "Please! I'm sorry!" Theo whined, grabbing his arm to pull him back, but again Cal tugged it away, and when he released his grip, he made a beeline to grab him again, crying and pleading with him not to go. With one violent rejected shove he was knocked to the floor and the door slammed shut. Persisting Theo climbed to his feet, going for the handle but a force behind him held him and lifted him up. His feet left the floor as Andy dragged him away and threw him on the sofa. His body lightly bounced as he hit the cushions with a grunt, immediately moving again towards the door, but again Andy grabbed him tightly. Now he was trapped, panting and thrashing about, gritting his teeth. "LET ME GO!" He shouted but Andy had him firm under his strong arms, wrapping tightly around his chest, an unmistakable hard lump bumping into him. Andy was getting turned on by his fighting body wriggling against him. "Leave it, let him go," he panted, gripping him tighter strong enough to prevent him from getting free. "No!! Why did you have to go and tell him you bastard?!" "Because, he needed to know, he needed to see what a slut you are," he growled lustfully in his ear, grinding his erection over his backside. Theo shuddered, eyes widened as he thought of what he might do next. Andy was unpredictable, and was probably capable of anything, even that! He was a passive aggressive, a little insane at times, and a deviant, with malevolence. Finally he quietened down, not wanting to encourage his urges by being restrained. "Good boy you know its best not to fight me," Andy crooned and kissed his cheek. Theo subtly approached him in a different way. "Andy, you can let me go now?" He asked calmly, with a light giggle. "Andy please, I can't breathe, you don't want to harm me do you?" The grip loosened and he managed to slip away, nursing where Andy had hurt him and squeezed him, still breathing hard, staring up through his curtain of curls. "Why? You just couldn't leave it, could you?" Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 08 "Sorry, but the truth hurts right?" Andy still had fire burning in his eyes, and an obvious hard on; he looked like a horny devil. "Yeah, now he hates me." Theo turned and ran his fingers through his ruffled curls that bounced back over his forehead. "If he loves you then he will be back. He will, just give him a little time." Grabbing the bottle he poured out a glass of wine, downing it in one go, and then resting on both hands he lowered his head. 'Would he have done what I thought if I didn't stop him?' asking himself, seeing him sitting and rubbing his face with his hands, knocking off his specks. Andy had dozed off on the sofa and Theo sat with almost a whole bottle of wine in his system, light headed and red eyed from where he had spent the last hour regretting and fretting his actions. He looked out of the window to the rows of buildings on their side street, the darkness only just starting to fall in the summer evening, seeing the black clouds gather. Putting down his glass lightly, he sneaked over to the coat stand plucking his leather jacket from it and quietly slipping out the door, looking back at the sleeping man and grabbing some things before he shut it carefully behind him. He ran out of the block, pulling on the jacket and set to searching for Calv so he could explain. The faint buzz woke him from his light sleep, and he opened his eyes to work out what the noise was until he suddenly became fully aware. It was his mobile phone vibrating in his pocket. Looking around he saw the finished meal untouched on the dining table, an empty glass of wine and the bottle on the coffee table in front of him, the person who had been drinking it nowhere to be seen. Pulling out his mobile from his trouser pockets he scrolled down to read the message, eyes widening as the code was plain to see. 'The eagle has landed.' "Shit!" He cursed, now realizing that Theo had snuck out whilst he was sleeping. He pushed himself up and dashed out the door. He ran to the only place he thought Calv could be, opening the door forcefully. The landlord looked up and smiled brightly at him whilst pulling a pint for a customer. "Hey Theo, nice to see you. To what do I owe this pleasure?" He asked, placing the full glass of Stella on the bar and collecting the money, putting it in the till on autopilot. "Stu have you seen Calvin?" He asked urgently without giving a thought on the older man's friendly welcome. "Err-no, he's usually with you isn't he?" He grinned, knowing they were practically joined at the hip. "Well no, he kinda walked out on me." He rubbed his nape in embarrassment. "Oh, a row eh?" "Yeah something like that." "No, sorry, he's not been here, but I will tell him you were looking for him if he does." "Thanks." He went to turn away but Stu stopped him. "You want a drink? I mean he might come in yet, could always wait for him." "No, it's ok; I'll have a look round then head home." He sighed, knowing that Stu would be bending his ear trying to figure out why they have had an argument. He really didn't want to air his dirty laundry in public, or even to be in anyone's company right now. He felt too ashamed. Defeated he moved away from the pub and walked onwards, not really knowing where he could be in this big city, feeling like a lost child. Andy hurried along the street, for the second time pushing redial to get hold of Theo, but it just kept just ringing. Finally he spoke after getting his voice mail. "Theodore, please answer, it's urgent! You have to get back home now!" He pushed 'end' and then stalked onwards; finding the Swan Inn and pushing open the door. "Ah Andy, looking for Calvin?" The landlord beamed, they knew him well and he liked a little gossip to sink his teeth into. "Theo actually, has he been here?" "Just missed him by about ten minutes or so, something wrong?" He stopped polishing the glass with the tea towel and searched the red-head's face. Something in his eyes told him something was not good. "No it's nothing mate." He turned and walked away, leaving Stewart a little perplexed, and perhaps a little concerned about what was going on between the three of them. He was becoming weary now, fearing that Calvin had got on a train and left him for good. Resting against the wall wiping his face, tilting his head up to see the clouds form a dark shade of grey and a few drops cold on his face. A storm was coming. He could smell the rain in the air. He sighed and let a tear roll down his cheek, saying to himself he was sorry and praying for his lover to come back, some people looking at him strangely as they passed. Bouncing forward as he pushed his foot away from the wall and moped along at a slow pace, feeling hopelessly alone and empty without him near. His heart aching, his stomach knotted and tears burned the back of his eyes. He wanted to scream out and just collapse in a heap of emotions right there on the pavement, not caring who would see his anguish. The red beam targeted just right, just as he was still for a moment as he was looking about, and then was ready. "THEO?!" The hysterical shriek broke his thoughts, turning quickly to see Andy paltering over to him. Face full of terror as he body turn sharply to his left. He sucked in a breath hard then sighed, whimpered, cried out as he felt the pain pierce him. Falling back against the brick wall in shock, clasping his chest with his unsteady hand. It all happened so fast but yet slowly seeing Andy's face contort in terror. He looked down with dread as the blood spread, turning his white vest-shirt to a dark crimson tone. "Fuck, oh fuck!!!" He moaned as Andy stood over him in utter dismay. He slid down the wall, eyes glazed and his breath shallow. "Andy, I'm gonna die," he squealed, still holding his chest over his blood-stained vest. "Its ok, you're not gonna die, I'll call for help," with a wavering voice, pulling out his mobile with trembling hands and dialling. "Ambulance. My friend he ... he has...been shot. I dunno, a sniper, please hurry! Yes. Chapel Road, by the barbers, please hurry up!" He hung up as the operator told him they were on the way. He crouched down and cradled his friend in his arms, almost sobbing out loud as the green glassy eyes faded. "Come on Theodore, stay with me. Come on don't sleep, stay with me!" He cried, clutching him tightly. But the eyes flickered and close, blacking out. "Oh god, I'm sorry," he whispered into the limp body's neck. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 09 He had been walking. Just walking and walking for what seemed miles, until the anger dissipated with his tired legs. He couldn't understand why. Theo and Andy? Although, he had a hunch that Andy was the one who had propositioned him, and poor submissive Theo couldn't run from his persistent wheedling. Andy could be strong willed and he knew he wasn't the type to take no for an answer. He balled his fists as he stopped dead, ire boiling in his stomach again at the thought of his filthy hands all over his lover. He suddenly lost control, bashing his fist into a nearby tree, imagining it was that smug gits face. Theo had admitted to him it was true and that he had led him on, forcing himself to defend Andrew, but why? He was becoming more and more suspicious over Andrew's behaviour and lies. He sat down on a park bench, watching two swans glide gracefully side by side. 'I bet they never have this problem, loyal to each other for life.' He jolted as his phone rang in his pocket, already having received five missed calls from Theo. He found himself calm enough now to maybe let him explain. Lifting it out of his pocket he checked the caller ID. It was Andy's number. Scowling, and barely suppressing the urge to throw it in the pond, he grit his teeth and pressed end call. He wasn't in the mood to hear his feeble excuses right now. Signing deeply he wandered back to the flat, hoping Andy had the sense to stay out of his way, and at least he could let Theo say his piece on what really happened. He trusted him more than that deceitful arsehole. * * * The paramedics arrived not too long after the call, piling out and rushing to the body slumped against the wall. Andy stood up; all he could do was watch with the small crowd of spectators that had gathered suddenly. "What's his name?" The young raven-haired man asked, as another checked his pupils and pulse. "T... Theo, Its Theo, Curtis," Stammering. "Theo, can you hear me?" He then asked the unconscious, the other older man with a greyish beard nodded his head as he took his fingers off the side of his neck. "Is he alright? He's not..?" Andy panicked, looking down in horror at the pale boyish features. "You are?" The elder paramedic asks. "I'm Andrew. His... friend." The word didn't even mean anything after what he had done. "Ok Andrew, he's fine. Pulse a little slow, but he's lucky. We just need to get him to the hospital immediately." He then concentrated on putting pressure on the wound. Andy watched as his friend was placed on a stretcher, oxygen mask put over his face and then pushed into the back of the ambulance. He looked up as something caught his eye. A curtain swayed as if a breeze had swiftly disturbed it. He saw a shadow cross the window, moving quickly before he could get a proper look. "McGiffern?" He questioned. "Sir?" He was brought back. "Would you like to go with him?" The older man stood, almost following his gaze. "Yes," was his instant reply and he climbed in as they shut the doors, speeding off down the road. * * * Arriving home, finding the main part of the flat empty, he threw down his keys abruptly as his suspected that the two were at it again. Paranoia maybe, but what did they expect? He stalked down the hall and pushed the bedroom door so hard that it flapped open and hit the wall. The bed was how it was, freshly made this morning, everything in place. He huffed then turned to the spare room, again finding it empty, with the window slightly open. He brushed his fingers through his hair and wondered where they had gone. His first thoughts that they had gone looking for him and would probably be back sometime soon. Letting his body relax against the chair, his long locks falling over the back like a curtain, he found another opened bottle and started to drink, releasing his fury as the liquid soothed into his bloodstream. After a fidgety few minutes he stood and started clearing the dinner things, keeping his mind occupied for the moment. * * * At the hospital, Andy paced like an impatient tiger, his heart filled with remorse as to why this had to happen. He had to call HQ and find out. At every passing doctor or nurse he would lift his head expectantly, waiting for news, but none of them was for him. In fact they were for a woman next to him who had a grim look on her face. She was being asked to go somewhere so they could talk in private, and once she had disappeared, her anguished howls filled the ward. "Fuck," we winced, knowing who that could have been. Blood curdled and rushed from his face, sickened and faint. Grabbing a coffee, although something stronger wouldn't go amiss, he sat down again, nursing the plastic cup of what looked like brown grit in his palms. 'Calvin!' He then thought as he lifted his head to see a man at the vending machine that looked just like him, only shorter and with spiky hair. Maybe that's what he would look like if he had shaved and cut his hair? He had to let him know what had happened, and his last call was ignored, but he knew he would get the blame. He wasn't exactly his favourite person right now. Maybe later, when he'd found out how Theo was doing. "Mr Standley?" A female voice called, making his head snap around quickly. "Yes?" He stood, at least a foot taller than the short young woman, his eyes glancing downwards as she told him how he was. "Seems he was lucky. The shot missed any major arteries. Either he had ducked out of the way or he turned quickly, catching the right side of his chest. He's lost some blood but nothing critical." Andy breathed out hard. He had saved him! If he hadn't called him in the street then it would have hit the perfect target. "He's gonna be alright?" A smile crawled onto his thin lips. "Yes, you can see him if you'd like, he's woken from the anaesthetic." "Thank you," looking up clasping his hands together. 'Was it in the spiritual force because Theo has saved someone that it was returned? In that Convent, little Hope and Lillie? Strange things, miracles can happen.' "Hey," he whispered walking slowly to injured who was propped up in the bed, a large gauze dressing placed on his chest. He looked healthier than he had not too long ago. "How are you doing?" He pulled a green plastic chair closer, and sat down, leaning forward. "I'm fine," replied hoarsely, swallowing slowly before he spoke, his mouth obviously dry. "Good." He sat back, but Theo's eyes looked down. Since he had walked in he hadn't even looked at him. Andy sensed something was wrong. Maybe it was him? That he didn't want him there after what he had done, and said? He lifted up the jug on the table by the bed and poured him a glass of water, reaching forward to offer it to him. "Here, you're probably thirsty." He took it and drank slowly, still not even a flicker of a glance towards the red-head. Not even thanks. "Theo?" "You must think I fell off a Christmas tree," he mumbled from under the hair that covered his eyes. "What?" Andy looked up, quite puzzled by his randomness, thinking that perhaps he had hit his head when he fell. "You know," gazing into the clear liquid that magnified his fingertips through the glass. "I don't, wait that incident?" "Was no accident Andy and you know it." "I had nothing to do with that, I...," he sighed deeply. "Really, then why has he come after me again? Too damn bloody close to succeeding this time round! What next, third time lucky?!" Andy shuddered in his seat, avoiding his hot gaze. "I might as well stand on the roof-tops and spread open my arms. No obstacles, a nice open target eh?" "No Theodore, don't say that." Andy went to stroke his hand but stopped as the eyes flashed at him in anger. "They are starting to ask questions. The police may come to get a statement, probably link me to that run in last week. You may as well leave me now. I'm no use to you or Cal anymore." "Theo?" "Just leave me alone!" He snapped. Andy caught his bitter tone and stood up, looking back before leaving. Once he was outside he pulled out his mobile phone. He had to get to the bottom of this and he knew who he'd find there. The phone rang a few times before the smooth voice answered. "Alister" "Ah Andrew I was hoping you would call." "Listen, I thought you said 'Plan Eagle' was abandoned," a hushed tone and turned as someone walked by. "That is correct. I decided to approach this differently and to do what you agreed." "Right, then why is he laying in hospital with a bullet wound?" It went silent, and then the man breathed slowly through the earpiece. "Seems someone has disobeyed orders, and I know who. He is alive I take it?" He asked coldly and calmly. "Yes luckily I was there to save the day." "Well that's all we need to concern ourselves with. I shall see to this misunderstanding right away." Andy moved again, further away from nearby ears. "The police are coming to the hospital, they will pull him in." "Then get him out right away before they do. Take him somewhere safe, I want no more harm to come to him. I can't bribe them with any other information Andy, it has all dried up. Will call you as soon as things are arranged again. I'll request Calvin to come here. I will call you in time." He hung up brashly and Andy growled in frustration, banging his head back against the brick wall and closing his eyes. He wanted out, but feared it was too late. * * * Lorenzo shook his head and picked up his office phone. "Boss?" The man said smarmily, a little breathless as he was receiving a massage from one of his women. He poured out a dry sherry and proceeded to take that smile off his face. "You have disobeyed me." He stopped, smelling the drink before sipping it. The other man shooed the girl away and sat back on his luxury sofa. "How? Boss I...I..." "No excuses or bullshit, you went against my wishes YET AGAIN! You hired McGiffern to do a hit didn't you?" "Hey I was only thinking it was for the best! Stan..." "...Leave Standley to me, I am more concerned on keeping his colleague alive." "Yes boss." He shakily waved to his bodyguard to light him a cigar, blowing out the smoke, trembling at the harsh threats. He had to be careful, to watch his back. A horses head on his pillow was not what he wanted. He had to comply and he knew he could already be in deep shit. Or he will receive that shot too. "Good, we have an understanding. Now I will signal when 'seize plan' will go ahead. You will get your men and break in, knock him out and bring him to the club. I shall meet you there and bring Mr Walsh with me," he smiled evilly. "I'm sure then I can persuade him to join the team." "Yes Boss, my boys will be ready." "Don't forget he has to be alone. Make sure that great ape is nowhere near him, he doesn't know what the next step is." Hanging up, he grinned, walking around the office and nodding his head. * * * "Joe, I need you right now." His voice sounded urgent. "Be here in ten minutes, I need you to take me and Theo home." "Right away Andrew." He answered. He regretted not bringing the car this time, taken Theo here himself rather than calling for help. Cursing himself as he walked back into the building, sneaking past the staff, and back to the ward. Theo was laying back, eyes half closed, but they flickered open as he saw the familiar man walk towards him. "I thought I told you to piss off," closing his eyes again. "I have to get you out of here," he said, tugging his arm to coax him out of bed. "Are you mad? They will think I have something to hide if I just go." Theo pulled back, wincing at the pain. "Look, the shit has already hit the fan. What are you going to tell them huh? That you were moonlighting, that you got someone accidently shot! That's manslaughter on another list of charges?" "I didn't kill anyone," he hissed. "The fucking cops don't know that. McGiffern was well out of earshot by the time they had arrived." "Great, so apparently I'm armed and dangerous now?!" "Yes." He dropped down on his knees next to him. "If you stay here you will be caught and sent to prison, you really want that? To be away from Cal?" He lowered his voice to barely a whisper. "Not if I drag you down with me," He snarled. Ouch! Andy recoiled back, glaring at the stubbornness in his stance. "That hurt Theo. You know what they will do to you in prison? A young 'pretty' boy like you?" "No, enlighten me please Andrew," sarcasm rolled off his tongue. "They will violate you, hurt you, bully you, until it feels so unbearable that you can't think of a reason to live." His words were shocking but true. Theo turned to look at him, eyebrows arched inward in horror and despair. He swallowed hard as he felt a shot of fear of the inevitable grip him. "I'm sorry but prison is not a place for you. It will destroy you." His face turned to sympathetic, tinged with a hint of concern. "Do you understand?" He gripped his hand tightly and Theo nodded slowly, his throat moved as he gulped. Andy looked intently into his eyes, trying to make him see sense. "Good. Now where are your clothes?" He looked around, peering into every cupboard to find them. "I think they put them in a safe or something. I have my phone and keys in my jacket." "Shit." Andy spun around, biting his fingernail in frustration. Theo was just wearing a pair of undesirable olive green hospital PJ bottoms. "Wallet?" He then asked. "I left that at home." "Good, then they can't identify you." Andy stood in thought for a moment, his attention bought back as a nurse came in the room. "Still here?" She smiled placing a small box on the table and taking out two small pink pills. "What are those?" Andy asked with a frown. "Just some strong pain killers for Mr Curtis." "How many does he need, I mean, how many times?" The nurse looked up and smiled again, pouring some water in the cup. "Why so interested?" "Oh I thought about doing some training, being a nurse or something." He grinned, lying through his teeth. Theo stifled a laugh as he could think of nothing more amusing. 'Red a nurse? More like a doctor of madness!' "That's great!" She turned, handing the pills that he popped in his mouth, taking the water to wash them down. "Well, about every four to five hours for the maximum dosage, depending on the strength of the medicine, and how much pain he's in." "Ah right." "But it's also addictive too, so we need a low dosage for his kind of treatment. It's also used to treat drug addicts." Theo spit out the water, choking at the same time as balling up in pain. "Morphine?" Andy kept a straight face. "Yes, hey you are a fast learner," she said, patting the patient's back as he wheezed for air. "Went down the wrong way," he croaked and gasped, pointing to his throat. "You ok now?" She asked, being one nurse that actually cared. nodding and breathed slowly, leaning him back in the plump pillows. "When will he be ready to leave? I'd say he's in good shape," Andy enquired ignoring the stare from the man in question. He didn't really want to use force, not with this lovely young girl that he had slightly charmed, perhaps even fancied a bit. "Well I have to check with the doctor, see how his wound is healing, and make sure the bleeding has stopped. He will be prescribed some more drugs and then he should be fit." "Great! Well I need to get his belongings." He looked around as another nurse came in, telling off the girl for idle chit-chat with the patients. Andy didn't like her, she looked stern and a jobs worth. "Nurse Crawford you are needed in Ward Three. Mrs Wilson needs her bed linen changed as she had a little accident again," she scolded, glaring down at her. "Be there right away, Sister Marsh," she obeyed a bit startled, rushing off to do her work in the geriatric block. The older yet tall lady stared at the two men. She picked up the board hanging on the end of the bed and studied it closely. "Miss, I require Mr Curtis's clothes and belongings, we're getting out of here. Where are they please?" Andy said matter-of-factly, yet politely. "I'm sorry but I cannot allow you that access." "Oh really, why is that?" "Yes." She looked them both up and down. "Not the first time we've gotten sorts like you here." Andy's face burned a fiery red, grabbing the woman by her arm in a spilt second and holding her close. A hard object pressed into her back, his hand clasped over her mouth to stop her screaming. "Now don't shout, or I will be forced to use this." Theo shot up, not believing what he was seeing. Andy had a gun, and it was pointing right into the woman's back. "Do you understand?" He growled into her ear, using his husky voice to scare her more. The lady nodded. "Good, now all I need to know is where Theo's things are." He took his hand from her mouth, keeping the gun pressed hard against her, warning her not to scream for help. Theo just froze in the bed. "They are in the safety deposit box, just a few doors down," she breathed, petrified. "I want you to get them. I will come with you make sure you don't squeal," his tone was low and vicious. Theo had never seen this side to him before, and he found himself motionless as his gruff voice carried across the small room. "Ok, ok!" She held up her hands and backed off. "If it's just his clothes, then don't hurt me please." "That is all darling," Andy grunted again. "Theo," he waved the gun at him, motioning for him to get out of bed. Andy looked at the nurse and she led him quietly to where they kept the personal belongings, pointing to a door that had a number of his ward on it. "Open it, come on!" He flashed the gun at her as she groped for a key, almost dropping it as her hands shook. Once she opened it Andy grabbed the jacket, shoes, shorts, and the small plastic bag with the keys, phone and cigarettes inside. Pushing her out of the door, he covered the gun with the clothes and led her back to the ward, where Theo was barely standing, staring in astonishment. "Here," Andy chucked his clothes at him, but it was too late. The alarm had been raised that someone suspicious had entered the building, calling all security. Both men pushed past the nurse, almost tipping her over. Theo grabbed the bundle and ran after Andy; pass the corridor where the frantic staff flocked. Turning into a side room, they backed against a wall. A smell lingered in the air, something horrid. "Great fucking plan!" Theo said out of breath and still in a considerable amount of discomfort. "Now what?!" "Ok we have to quietly get out, look." He pointed as they had entered another room, cold and eerie, with two available stretchers just sitting there. "Oh my god, you're fucking joking! I am not getting on that, which I will point out has had a dead person on it." "You were pretty close to being in that position so what you complaining about?" Andy's eyes narrowed with banter in his tone, backing him up to the mortuary wheeled bed. Theo's elbows touched it as he backed in and shot away like it had burned him, giving it a bloodcurdling glare. "No way, no!" He shuddered. "How else are we going to get out of here? Besides you are wearing hospital pyjamas," voice fading into a chuckle. "Not bloody funny," he shivered, eyes searching the room, his arms wrapping around his chest. "Look I can get this on." Andy plucked a long white jacket from a hook beside the door. "And pretend to be a doctor. You get on that and I'll cover you up from your head, feet sticking out like you're a corpse." "Andy please don't say that word!" Theo felt someone walk over his grave. "Ok, pretend to be dead." "Oh god I hate this, I hate you." He stared at the stretcher dubiously. Love Is a Drug Ch. 01 Pt. 09 After a moment the chilled air caught up with him and he was suddenly freezing cold. He nodded, swallowed and reluctantly climbed onto the cool bed, shivering uncontrollably with his belongings flat next to him. He laid back, blinking, feeling a taste of something that could have been death. His breath quivered as Andy covered him with a dark green sheet, the smell so putrefying that it almost made him choke and retch. "Stop moving," he moaned. Theo pulled back the sheet and frowned severely at him. "You wanna swap, cos this ain't much fun for me?" He barked quietly. "Don't be stupid, they'd recognize you." Andy covered him again. "Now shut up, be dead!" A faint mumble of griping came from under the cover. As Andy pushed it forward he bumped into the flimsy double doors and Theo let out a yelp. "Fuck sake, shut up!" The face appeared again, the same unimpressed scowl on his face. "Fucking be gentle then you idiot. I have been shot, remember!" "Oh sorry," He guffawed, throwing the sheet back and moving on. The difference in temperature told him he was back in the main part of the hospital. The voices of people surrounded him, and he tried so hard not to moan as the bumps jolted him and made his wound throb. He squeezed his eyes together, holding his breath and keeping dead still. Andy casually moved through the hospital, any passing person taking him to be an ordinary doctor. He turned a corner and stopped sharply as he saw the young blonde nurse talking to two policemen. "Shit!" He cursed quietly, turning around, stopping as he came to a dead end. He looked down at the man under the sheet, asking in a whisper if he was ok. A low groan indicated he was. The coppers passed and he took the opportunity to dash down another corridor, soon finding a fire exit. "Perfect," he said as he wheeled him towards it, but there was a flight of steps next to it and a senior doctor was now walking nearby, followed by two different policemen. Andy stopped, his heart leaping in his throat. The men in blue came closer, cold sweat sheened his brow and his pulse raced at top speed. Finally they were close, and panic hit him like a bucket of water as one peered at him, and then at the covered form. Andy prayed Theo wouldn't sneeze, cough or move. Time stood still as he swallowed hard. "What are you doing Doctor Randi?" The silver haired surgan asked. Oh great an Indian doctor's uniform and he was no way near looking Asian. Andy glanced down, seeing the name badge on his breast. "Oh I'm new here, and seems I got another doctors coat," he grinned in a silly way. "I was asked to take this body to the morgue," he swallowed again, his face blushing till his cheeks burned. And swore he heard a small snigger from the body. "That way, Doctor," he pointed to the left down the corridor they had come from. The policemen took off their hats out of respect. "Oh thanks so much," he beamed, turning around and heading the way they had come, only to stop and watch them disappear around the corner, hearing the medic-man shout out to tell him to find his correct badged over-coat as he did. He pulled off the sheet and Theo shot up with the signal to go! Both men spun around the opposite way and headed out into the fresh air. Now outside, Andy got out his phone and called his reliable cab driver, who pulled up outside the back of maternity as requested. They climbed in and now were safely driving far away from the building. Theo blew air from his mouth, holding his chest. Now he could complain vocally. "Fuck, fuck, fuck, it hurts," he groaned, bending forward. "I'm sorry, here." From his pocket Andy pulled out the box that had been sitting by his bed; the pills the young nurse had brought in. "You stole the morphine?" "Yeah well, you need it don't ya?" Theo cried out as they drove over a pot hole in the road. "Fuck! Yeah give it to me." He snatched them from his hands and swallowed two tablets, dry. "Careful, she said it was addictive," Andy chuckled, earning a light frown from his friend. "Yeah, who needs coke when you got morphine," He joshed back. "Oh, Greenwich please, Joe," he instructed as the driver was about to head north. "What? Not going home, but..?" "I have to keep you safe Theo." "But what about Cal?" "He can handle himself, I'll call him ok?" Saddened he wanted to see him, hear his voice, to have him to comfort him. He missed him more than he ever had in his life, the pain greater than a hole in his chest. * * * It was 11pm, and Calvin was starting to worry about the whereabouts of Andy and his boyfriend. Well, more so Theo, he didn't really give a flying fuck about Andy right now. He had called but the phones just kept ringing or were engaged. "Argh where are you?" He growled as he tried again and finally got through to Andrew. "Cal?" His voice sounded like he was in an enclosed space. "Where the fuck are you?" running his hands through his hair in frustration. "On the way to my place." "Where's Theo? What have you done with him?! You so much as..." "...Listen to me Vin!" Andy practically yelled to shut him up. "Theo... he has been shot but don't worry he's ok. He's with me now, we just got back from the hospital." He was bouncing in the seat next to him, eager to speak to his lover, and pretty high on a double dose of meds. "Shot...?" Cal started slowly, dropping down onto the sofa in shock. "Yes." "But how? What the... what the fuck? Typical of you Andy, I can't leave you together for five minutes can I. This is the last straw." "No I saved him this time. If I hadn't called his name he would have been... look, don't blame me for this, you knew he was in danger." "Well give Andrew-Robert-Standley a fucking medal," he jeered, standing again and drinking down a large whiskey. "May I talk to him please? Or have you elected yourself as his personal bodyguard?" "Don't be so bloody raucous! If it weren't for you walking out he wouldn't have had to run out in the streets in the first place." "Maybe if you hadn't gotten your filthy, perverted paws on him I wouldn't..." He cut off hearing his sweet voice in the background. "Don't fight, please give the phone to me." His pupils were large as he snatched the phone, not able to keep still. "Calv," he almost squeaked, his vocal a higher pitch than his usual tone. "Theo thank god are you ok?" "Yes, I'm fine, we are on our way to Andy's. He saved me from getting killed and we.." "...Whoa, slow down. Are you stoned?" he chuckled lightly. "Um, probably, I had morphine, bloody good stuff..." "...Hey, shush. Listen, just, are-you-ok?" He asked slowly, hoping that he wasn't influenced otherwise by their so-called friend. "Yes I'm fine, but I miss you." "I miss you too, I wish you were here, I'm sorry." "Yeah me too. Hey why don't you come to Andy's?" At that moment the man snatched back the phone. "Cal, look something has happened, I need to take him to safety. The police were crawling all over the hospital, possible link to the shooting last week and also the drug entanglement." "Argh fuck!!" He downed the drink and poured another triple. "So I think Theo would be safer with me. You stay at the flat." "Err excuse me, but do I have a say in this?" Cal flipped his fringe. "If you remember rightly it is 'I' that has to take responsibility for his and your welfare in the business. I advise you to stay put." "How do I know I can trust you anymore?" "You just have to, ok?" His voice quietened sincerely as he cut off the call and sighed. "Is he coming?" "No, sorry he's better off staying out of it. They don't know him, his face, so he is safer alone. Even if they do, then they will find nothing." He then stared to text. He told Cal to clear Theo's things. Photos of him, his wallet, papers and any evidence of his existence of living there, just in case he was raided. He sent it and received one back a few moments later with an obedient 'Yes ok.' He had fallen asleep, his head lolling on Andy's shoulder, wrapped snugly in his jacket. The cab came to a halt and eyes fluttered but he didn't wake up. "Here." Andy handed Joe a generous amount of money for his loyalty and for being there when he needed him. He also offered a free meal to him and his lovely wife at the restaurant. "Thank you so much, you are a life saver." He said appreciatively, trying to gently shake Theo to wake him. "Hmmm?" He whimpered at a little push. "Theo, we are here. Come on sleeping beauty." "What?" His eyes were heavy but after a few blinks he opened them, his mind having no recollection of what had happed in the last three hours. After focusing he jolted up and gasped, clutching his chest. "Its ok shhhh, it's ok," Andy said soothingly as he saw the man's face light up in panic. "Where am I?" He looked around, seeing he was still in the car and somewhere that was nowhere near his home or his Cal. "Do you remember what happened?" Andy asked, searching his eyes that were skittering around quickly. "I was shot." "Yeah that's right." Andy looked around before he opened the door, stepping out into the black, chilly night. "Come on." "Where are we going?" "To my house, you remember?" "I dunno, it's all a blur," Theo rubbed his head. "It's ok, that will be the drugs." "I feel sick," then announced as he slid out of the car with a helping hand, almost toppling over as he tried to stand. "Whoa there, best get you inside and into bed," catching him him as he fell back. His face suddenly changed; emotionless, swallowing rapidly, his skin turning a little pale in the dim lights that spotted around the house. He ran over to a grassy verge, dropping to his knees, and puked up violently. After he had finished Andy walked over and patted his back. "All out?" He smiled. "Yeah," he said and stood unsteadily. "Your fault." "How?" Andy said, taken back. "For making me ride that dead man's bed." A smirk formed on his lips and the other started to laugh. "Come on, lets get inside, you are probably freezing." He looked over him still in the hospital bottoms and just a leather jacket that barely covered his body, and nothing on his feet. Once inside Theo and Andy were greeted by his Border Collie. She jumped and barked excitedly as her Master walked through to the kitchen. "Ah come on you know Theo Meg," Andy told after she stared to bark at the guest. "At least she's makes a good guard dog," he smiled groggily, now stroking her shinny black and white coat. "Oh yeah, she's good, even the postman is scared shitless of her. But she's an old softy really." He patted his knees and made a fuss of her before letting her out the back door. There was an awkward moment of silence before he turned to see the small frame almost dropping where he stood. "Better sort you out, you look knackered." "Yeah I am a bit fucked," he admitted, leaning on the worktop of the country kitchen. "Not surprised, you have had a nasty shock. Here follow me and I'll show you to the guest room." For once he felt at ease, almost relaxed, as Andy was acting a little more like he should, as a friend, and caring for him as a partner. They reached a room, plain and simple, with a double bed and modern furniture. The colour scheme was pale greens and natural whites. The duvet was plain too with a throw and cushions, and to the left was a small but adequate bathroom with a shower unit. "There, make yourself at home," Andy fussed walking to the bathroom and opening a small mirrored cabinet over the sink, pulling out a pack of tooth brushes. "What colour do you want?" "What?" Andy turned and walked in, holding four different coloured brushes in his hand. "Blue, green, red, or yellow?" "I don't mind, whichever." 'Was it really necessary?' He maoned in his mind. "Ok, red then." Andy put the others away and set the red one down next to the toothpaste. "Anything you need should be in the en-suite." "Thanks Andy," he smiled sweetly. Their gaze locked for a minute but then Andy averted his eyes. He had done enough damage and didn't want to make it worse. "Ok, I'm just over in the next room if you need me, you know, needing anything...err..." He stammered with embarrassment, rubbing the back of his neck, then sweeping back his hair. "Yes I know," Theo blinked slowly, shrugging off his jacket with difficulty. "Here," Andy moved and helped him slip off his jacket, curving it over the dresser chair with his other clothing, before he then pulled back the covers and plumped up the pillows. Theo settled into bed, having the duvet tucked in around him in a motherly fashion. "Please don't fuss." A smile crept over Andy's lips as he stood up. "If you need to freshen up then feel free to use the shower, and that may need looking at and changing," pointing to the gauze that was looking a little stained and worn. "I have a first aid kit in the kitchen, probably put a new dressing on that in the morning, yeah?" "Thanks," he turned, grimacing before he found a comfortable position. Andy fished in his pockets and found the box containing at least eight more pills, placing them by the bed and fetching a cup of water to place next to it. Theo could hear him moving and sighed. "Andy!" He cautioned with closed eyes. "Just morphine mate, and water, in case you wake and the pain is too bad." "Thanks." "But I won't mind if you wake me," was the barely audible whispered response. "Night Theo, sleep well." He walked over to the door and switched off the light, only to hear him reply in a small sweet mumble. * * * Finishing another glass of bourbon, that more than enough alcohol to ease the pain of the loneliness. It was so quiet, too quiet without him. Smoothing the seat next to him on the sofa, where he would cuddle up to him on a quiet night of watching a film or just TV together. He sighed deeply and rattled about the flat for a while. He knew he couldn't sleep, wouldn't sleep without him. Torn apart again, he wondered whether Alister's proposal was a good idea, or if they should quit altogether as it was getting too risky now. He wandered over to the window and slid it open. The air was cool on his face, and he breathed it in looking over the city as he lent over the ledge, glass in one hand and a cigarette in another. A lonesome figure, only a silhouette to viewers outside. All emotions soared as he dropped his head, and weeped into his arms. The hot tears dampened his skin as he cried, his heart ripped apart, only wishing things were how it used to be. * * * Back in his sitting room, Andy sat down in the arm chair stroking his loyal pet by his side, and sipping a brandy. After tonight his nerves were shattered; the what-ifs filled his mind and thoughts of what would have happened if Theo hadn't been miraculously saved. Someone was watching over him that was for sure. Cal already hated him for what he did, and he wondered whether it was the end of their professional relationship, and friendship. He begged Lorenzo practically on his knees for no harm to come to his colleague, and so the 'Plan Eagle' was put to a stop. He had no idea that he was intended for assassination, or knew anything about this McGiffern who they had to drop off the coke to on that day. No, Lorenzo failed to tell him that! So he was genuinely truthful to his friends that he had no idea he was a bounty hunter until Cal had mentioned it. but how did Calvin know who he was? Andy knew Lorenzor's plan to get Theodore away from Calvin, and get him to work with him, but not that he was going to have him killed! Lorenzo had only told him this not long after, as he demanded to know what the hell was going on and why they had a gunman after him. Arrested he could understand, but Andy knew another man was involved, someone a little impulsive and nasty. He figured he was behind 'Plan Eagle the second flight,' the reason why Theo couldn't come with Cal to the meeting or know something else that would frighten him. He had contacted Alister the day of the event when he was sorting the car, demanding to know who the hell was chasing them, but he had denied it all, palming it off as some dodgy customers he had gotten involved with. After Cal had enlightened him about McGiffern, he had called the Boss again and begged him not to hurt Theo. Alister would poke him for having feelings for this man, which Andy was forced to confess, and also, The Boss had told him if he blabbed to his two colleagues he was dead! As he recalled from this evening the couple were detectives in the works as they almost figured out the plan. He had to intervene otherwise his own life would be in danger, cutting in with the horrible truth of his and Theo's sexual encounter was only to stall them from further enquiries. Massaging his temples, he stressed more about the dangers. Alister and his two partners, were the only ones who knew the location of his home, and feared he wouldn't wake up the next morning. His eyes wandered to where his mobile phone sat on the side, thinking back to before he had dashed out to find Theo as he slipped away. Frowning he picked it up and scrolled down to that message that was bothering him. 'The Eagle has landed.' His eyes widened in amazement. It was from Mr Lorenzo himself. "How the hell did he know?" He pondered, rubbing his thumb idly over the letters. He did admit when he told him at the hospital but he was vague about it. Then why not stop it before the bounty hunter had already had instructions? Had he turned a blind eye? But he promised Andy he wouldn't harm him. Andy then realized, with a smile he then knew he had been warned by Boss- man to go stop this homicide. Alister had warned him, because was it too late for him to stop it himself? He was true to his word, and Andy sensed the kinder side to the nasty gangster. His eyes closed as he felt like he had been Theo's guardian angel, stopping the worst, and he was now safe and sound in his spare room. He was about to put his phone back on the table with peace of mind when it hummed lightly in his hand. He pressed 'read' and received the text. 'Calvin Walsh owes me!! I have sorted out your little problem. The huntsman will no longer be your concern. Boss' Andy frowned. What did he mean? For now it was getting late, and his eyes and head ached from exhaustion. Wandering to the kitchen he put the glass on the side of the sink, switching off all the lights, and told Meg to settle down and headed to bed.
