I hope I did better! -Hugs to all from Angel- *********************************** Cameron, Max,and Alex found a round table outside the cafeteria to sit. Other students huddled inside the cafeteria for warmth on the cold day. Cameron lifted his head in the cold breeze. "Of course you would have us sit outside on the coldest day of the week," Max said to Cameron. "Oh, hush. And don't be such a baby; it's not that bad right Alex?" Before Alex had the chance to respond, darkness covered Cameron vision. He jumped at the sudden movement and realized it was just someone's hands covering his eyes. "Guess who?" came the sing-song voice. Cameron released a tired sigh. "Geez, Kat, you do that every time." "And every time I surprise you," Kat said with a smile. "Now, how is my favorite gal pal hm?" Katherine, better known as Kat, was a beautiful red headed girl. Her fun personality made any guy do a double take. The guys in school drooled over body and the girls would kill for her flawless curves. Why was she single and didn't have every guy begging for a date? That's because Kat didn't want the guys begging but the girls. "Ugh, would you stop calling me that. I know I'm gay but I'm not that girly." Cameron huffed. "So true. But you're not that manly either," Kat stuck her tongue out at Cameron. "Now if we're talking about real men..." She slid over to Max. "I'd be happy to rock your world." Kat gave Max one of her sultry looks. Alex looked uneasy. Max laughed. "Now sweetie, even if you played for my team, I'd be the one dominating, not you. Sorry." Max moved a hand over his head to smooth out his black hair, giving Kat a flirty look back. Kat pouted with her bottom lip out. "No fun at all Maxi. You're supposed to be my flirt buddy." Alex shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "Kat." She looked at Cameron at the mention of her name. Cameron nodded towards Alex's turned head. Kat mouthed 'oh' and quickly moved back, realizing her mistake. "What wrong?" Max inquired. "Nothing. Don't worry about," Kat quickly dismissed. "Anything special happen this morning guys?" "Well, Cameron got all hot and bothered by Leon this morning. But then again, that's nothing new." Max smirked. Cameron glared at Max. "Now, I just don't get why you don't tell him. I mean, what's the worst that could happen?" Kat asked. "It's very complicated, ok. I'll talk to him when I'm good and ready." Cameron answered. Kat leaned forward, "You could be ready now. If I were you, I'd take my man, in my case woman, before somebody else does." Cameron turned to see what Kat was staring at. He looked toward the quad and saw Jenny, the girl he hated since he started high school, bouncing up to Leon (who was sitting at the stage with some friends.). Of course, Cameron wouldn't hate someone without good reason. The only people he knew when he started high school were Max and Leon; they were also the only people who knew he was gay. That is, until Jenny found out. She caught Cameron staring at Leon in class numerous times and held no reservations telling the whole school. They didn't live in a prejudice place but ignorant people can be a hassle. Now that this was the third year of high school, people eventually accepted it. There were still some jocks who gave him a hard time but he had great friends who supported him, especially Leon. Jenny was the typical head cheerleader type, blond hair and all, though she wasn't a cheerleader. She believed she had better things to do than wave pom-poms around. But everybody in school thought she was perfect for the role. Jenny had a great body but she also had a bad personality. If someone wasn't worth her time, then she wanted nothing to do with that person. How the snobbish chick was popular and able to have friends was beyond Cameron. Cameron smiled to himself when he saw Leon coolly dismiss Jenny. One of the things he loved most about Leon was that he wasn't into people with bad personalities. And he wasn't fooled by Jenny's boobs or fake smile. Cameron felt evil for thinking such things, but it made him feel happy. Max and Kat looked at Cameron and knew exactly what he was thinking. They smiled at each other. The bell sounded above them. "Well, I guess it's time for class," Kat sighed. "As much as I love Cameron giving Jen the evil eyes." She smirked. "Whatever," Cameron said, "Come on, let's go to class." Cameron quickly lost interest in history. What's could possibly be more interesting than American history? 'A lot of things,' Cameron thought. 'For instance...' Cameron looked over at Leon a few seats ahead of him in the next row. It was nothing new for Cameron to fantasize but today he felt extra bored which led to extra fantasizing. He had P.E. with Leon last year, which Cameron was very grateful for. Seeing Leon, every day, taking off his shirt and showing a very sexy six-pack and die-hard chest, Cameron could do nothing but drool. Cameron imagined himself and Leon alone in the locker room. He removed the towel around his waist and entered the showers. Water cascaded down Cameron's smooth body as he put one hand in his hair and another over his chest. Cameron often enjoyed teasing himself into ecstasy. As Cameron was enjoying the spray of the shower on his body, Leon came up behind him, wrapping his arms around Cameron's chest. Leon took the soap and washed every inch of Cameron, from his smooth stomach to his now hard cock. Cameron moaned and grabbed onto Leon's arms to steady himself and to keep from falling due to his weak knees. Leon never once stopped his hand motions, instead moving his hand faster along Cameron's length and rubbing his hairless sack. "Cameron," Leon whispered into his ear. "Oh, Leon....yes," Cameron moaned, letting his head fall back. His fantasy Leon took that invitation and began to suck on Cameron's exposed neck. The sucking increased the sensation Cameron felt. He slid a hand into Leon's brown locks and gripped tight. He pushed back against Leon, wanting to feel more. Cameron almost lost it when he felt Leon's hard dick against his cheeks. Leon let the soap fall to the ground as he began to rub his rough hands along Cameron's body. Leon turned Cameron around and shoved him against the wall. Cameron felt Leon's tongue begging for entrance by licking his bottom lip, and he happily obliged. Their tongues intertwined as their cocks grinded against one another. Cameron slipped his hands into Leon's hair, loving the way their tongues slid wetly across each other. Leon's tongue circled his and slid across the roof of Cameron's mouth. Leon released Cameron's mouth, both panting. Leon reached down and gripped both their cocks and began to move his hands. Cameron closed his eyes and waited for ecstasy to hit his body. Abruptly, however, right before Cameron was getting to the good part, someone forced him out of the best fantasy he had so far. His teacher called his name. What a turn off. "Mr. Evans? Is there a reason why you're not paying attention?" said his teacher. The rest of the class laughed and turned to Cameron, expecting a good answer. Cameron blushed when he saw Leon look his way as well. How the hell was he supposed to look at Leon when he just had that day dream? Max laughed next him, "I think there's a good reason, but first you have to get him a bucket for the drool." Max looked at Cameron knowingly and received an evil look in return. Fortunately for Cameron, the bell rang at just the right moment. He quickly gathered his things and dashed from the class. He waited at their lockers for Max. "What was the hurry?" Max laughed. "That was not cool. At all." Cameron narrowed his eyes at his friend. "Hey, I wasn't the one who was having a wet day dream about a certain someone," Max replied. "So was it good?" "Oh my god, you wouldn't believe... Hey, hey! Don't try to get out of this! I'm still mad at you!" Max laughed as Cameron gave him the evil eyes. Alex and Kat walked up and began to open their lockers next to Cameron and Max. "What's so funny?" Kat asked. Alex also tilted his head in question. "Nothing." Cameron sulked with his arms crossed. "If I'm in a bad mood it's Maxi's fault." "Don't call me that. I only allow the people I like to call me that." Max retorted with a smirk . They all started to walk to class together since they had the same class. As they walked into Biology, Cameron cringed. Jenny was next to Leon, talking about something. Leon's friends didn't look happy about it either. In the class, there were lab tables that put the class into groups of four. Jenny sat in his seat (where he was next to Leon, which made Cameron more than ecstatic) and he wasn't about to let her have her way. The teacher was strict with seating charts so Cameron wondered why she wasn't asked to move. "Hey, look," Max pointed out. "We have a substitute." Everyone knew "substitute" meant do whatever in class and do a remedial assignment for homework. It also meant no seating chart. Cameron, Max, Kat, and Alex took an empty table next to Leon's table. They were happy to have some relaxation time during school. The substitute seemed like their favorite type too: someone who was just there for a job and was playing Angry Birds at the desk. "Well, look who it is." John said leaning forward on the table. "Cameron, don't pay too much attention to my good looks. I know I'm great, but I don't swing that way." John was one of the jocks that teased Cameron when he had nothing better to do. The first year of school was torture for Cameron; but as the years went on, Cameron quickly became annoyed. "First of all, ew. I don't like you, not in a million years or if you were the last guy on the planet. And two, I'm not into small, useless dicks, pun intended." Cameron replied. The part of the class heard their conversation and laughed. John grabbed Cameron's hoodie roughly. Max got up from his seat, willing to do anything, if necessary. Leon, at the next table, looked ready to intervene as well. "Does that mean you looked at me in the locker rooms, fag." John said in anger. "I only needed to look once to know you're just like your dick: small, ugly, and nothing to it." Cameron replied. John raised his fist, ready to hit, until the substitute interrupted. "Alright, I'm taking attendance so everyone sit down." John pushed Cameron back. His eyes promised consequences. However, John didn't miss the looks he received from Max—and Leon. After attendance, the substitute continued his game on his phone and the students resumed their talking. "Oh my, I haven't seen you act like that in a while Cameron." Kat smiled, clearly satisfied with his actions. "I'm just tired of the bullshit. I definitely don't need or deserve it." Cameron exasperated. "But it doesn't look like he'll forget it any time soon." Alex mumbled. "Neither will I." Leon laughed, walking up to their table. "L-Leon, you heard that?" Cameron stuttered. "Yup. I didn't know you had wondering eyes, Cam." Leon teased. "Oh, if only you knew." Max had to get his two cents in. Kat giggled and Alex elbowed Max. "Shush." Alex put a finger on his lips and looked at Max, an action that looked childish but was cute when Alex did it. And as usual, Max listened. "You know, I need a partner for the project. Cam, you interested?" Leon asked, turning his eyes from Max and Alex to Cameron. "W-what? Really? What about your friends at the table?" Cameron pointed to Leon's table. Leon's friends looked bored and tortured while Jenny was talking. "They thought I'd pick Jenny to work with me, so they already partnered up. Come on, please?" Leon used his best puppy dog eyes. Cameron felt defenseless. "He'll do it." Max, Kat, and even Alex answered at the same time. "Hey! I can answer myself, thank you!" Leon, Max, Kat, and Alex looked at Cameron expectantly. Cameron shifted in his seat a couple times. Time seemed to pass by slowly. "Okay." Cameron finally agreed. Leon smiled, "Alright. We can go to my house after school, or do you prefer your house?" Cameron's thoughts shifted to his parents being home and he quickly denied, "No way. Your house." "Okay I'll see you later then. I gotta find a way to get Ms. Prissy to leave us alone." Leon walked back to his table. "Ooh, Cameron's gonna get a boyfriend! Cameron's gonna get a boyfriend!" Kat sang. "Oh, please," Cameron rolled his eyes. "We're working on a project; there's nothing romantic about that." "Unless you get him to take his shirt off." Alex muttered with his eyes casted down. They all suddenly turned to Alex. He jerked up, surprised when three pairs of eyes zeroed in on him. "Well, now we know what Alex thinks about when he's so quiet." Cameron smirked. Kat nodded her head in agreement. "Ugh, let's change the subject. I'm not really into knowing what Leon looks like without a shirt." Max said, clearly disinterested. "It's your fault for being the only straight one. I could think about girls with you, dear!" Kat clapped her hands excitedly. They all laughed and class passed by pretty quickly. ************************************************** It was already the afternoon and lunch time. Cameron told the others to wait for him at their usual spot while he put things away in his locker. "Hey" Cameron jumped in surprise. He calmed himself when he saw it was Leon. "Geez, are you trying to give me a heart attack?" "Ha-ha. Sorry." Leon smiled, leaning against the lockers. Cameron couldn't help but stare. Leon looked so cool and casual, with his hair falling slightly into his eyes. "So, what's up?" Cameron collected himself. Leon's face suddenly wore a conflicted emotion. His body language supported the tense atmosphere; his arms were crossed and he seemed sort of stressed. "What's wrong?" Cameron was very concerned. There weren't many things that Leon worried over. He always handled things calmly. The only time Cameron saw Leon lose control was when some kids teased Cameron about being gay when they were younger. Leon and the kids got into a fight—literally, a fist fight. "I was so angry at John for the way he treated you today." He muttered angrily. "Oh. Don't worry about that. It was nothing. I'm glad I'm able to defend myself instead of depending on you all the time." Cameron smiled. Leon was concerned about him. How sweet, he thought. "Well, what if I don't want you to stop depending on me." Leon moved closer to Cameron. "What do you mean?" Cameron was sort of taken aback. He hasn't seen Leon act like this before. "Cameron, I don't want anyone to tease you but me. I don't want people to mess with you. And I definitely hate it when Max knows more about you than I do." Leon stared straight into Cameron's eyes. It's been a long time since Leon said 'Cameron' instead of 'Cam'—well, excluding some fantasies. "I don't understand. Sure, people tease me, but not much anymore. And of course Max knows more about me; we've been friends since we were kids." Cameron replied slightly confused. Where was Leon getting at? Leon sighed. Clearly, Cameron didn't understand what he was really trying to say. "Cameron. We've been friends for a long time too right?" Cameron nodded. "I remember how closed off you were when we met. And I was so happy when I finally got you to open up, even when I already knew a few things about you." Leon continued. "Wait--," Cameron interrupted. "What do you mean 'already knew'?" Leon grimaced. Apparently, he didn't mean to let that slip. "Well...uh, you see... I was already suspicious that you were gay. I saw you stare at me a couple times." Cameron looked mortified. And yet, Leon continued. "So, to make sure...I called a girl over..." "The girl that you said that came over out of nowhere. You planned for her to come..." Cameron trailed off. Three days after they met, Leon and Cameron were beginning to develop a good friendship. When they were playing in Leon's backyard, a girl happily skipped through the open fence to play, seemingly uninvited. Cameron was uncomfortable with her there, but Leon agreed. When she tried to kiss Leon, he pushed her into Cameron. "Cameron thinks you're really cute. Why don't you kiss him?" The young Leon said. And she tried. The girl was happy someone took an interest in her. Cameron saw no other way out of the situation besides shouting, "N-no! I'm gay!" The girl ran off crying, thinking they played a cruel joke. The wide-eyed Cameron ran home, shocked that he told his secret. It would be about four days until they reconciled and started hanging out again. Cameron was shocked. One of the most terrifying times of his life was caused by a person he thought he could trust. "How could you?" "Cameron, I didn't mean to hurt you. I just—" "Well you did. How was I supposed to act? What was I supposed to say? 'Oh yes, I'm gay. Now get that girl out of here so I can kiss you instead'. Before I started school here, I was afraid to come out. And you treat it like a joke." In the midst of his anger, Cameron failed to realize that he admitted to wanting to kiss Leon. However, Leon didn't miss it at all. "Cameron...I'm sorry." Leon didn't know what else to say. "Forget it, Leon." Cameron turned to walk away until Leon grabbed him and pushed him against the lockers, covering Cameron with his body. They stared at each other. If it wasn't for his anger, Cameron would consider this moment a blessing. But, he didn't want to let Leon off that easy. "Leon, leave me—"Cameron was silenced by Leon's lips. Leon was tired of the conversation. He didn't mean for it to turn out the way it did. Leon merely wanted to tell Cameron that he was fascinated by Cameron the day they met, and that those feelings turned into something more. When he saw Cameron stand up to John, it was an eye opener. He saw Max next to him instead of himself; and that pissed him off. Cameron was unable to think. His mind went completely blank. His crush just kissed him. Leon just kissed him. The same Leon he knew since he was fourteen. The same Leon he always loved. For a brief moment, Cameron thought it was a dream, until Leon pulled back and stared into his eyes. Leon turned his head, looked back at Cameron, and walked off. He left a dumbfounded Cameron leaning against the lockers with bruised lips. Always Ch. 03 Water dropped from the sky; it started to rain. Luckily, Cameron was still leaning against the lockers, safe under the roof. He didn't move a muscle for ten minutes, still in shock of what happened between him and Leon. Cameron touched his lips with his fingers. He couldn't believe that Leon kissed him. "Cameron? There you are," Max ran up to him. "We've been waiting for you. Kim is back and—." Max paused and looked at Cameron's face. He knew instantly that something was wrong. "Cameron, what's wrong?" "He...kissed me." "What? Who kissed you?" Max looked at Cameron confused. Cameron paused. He glanced around to make sure no one was in hearing distance. "Leon." Cameron whispered. Max had to do a double take. "Did you just say what I think you said?" Max asked with disbelief in his voice. Cameron nodded. "What? How the? What the fuck?!" "Max! You're too loud!" Cameron grabbed Max's arm and move to a more secluded area. "Oh, I'm sorry. Excuse me if I'm a little freaked out by what you just said." Max rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "You're freaked out?! He kissed me, not you!" Cameron exclaimed. Max sighed and rubbed the bridge between his eyes, "Ok. Tell me what happened." "Ok," Cameron started. "Leon came up to me and said started to talk about John and that he was mad at John and then he talked about you and then—" "Wait, wait, what the hell do I have to do with anything?" Max stopped Cameron. "I don't know. He said something about how you know stuff about me and he said something about wanting to be the only one to tease me or something like that." Cameron said thinking back on the conversation. "You idiot." Max sighed "What? What did I do?" Cameron questioned. "He was trying to tell you that he likes you." Max declared. Cameron stepped back. Leon liked him? "But...why? How? Huh?" Cameron babbled. "Let's go to the others." Max pulled Cameron and they started to walk to their usual hang out spot. "You are so dense." Max added. They walked to the side of the school that overlooked the soccer field. Their group usually sat on hill surrounding the field, but since it was raining, they settled underneath the awning. "Hey guys. Cameron, you missed Kim." Kat frowned. "Where'd she go?" Max asked. "She said she had a club meeting to go to. And why does Cameron look all spacey?" Max didn't want to go into a lot of details on the event. He just told Kat and Alex that Leon kissed Cameron because of jealousy. "Wow." Alex was the first to speak. "It took jealousy to get him to come around". Kat nodded in agreement. "I didn't even know I made him jealous. If he wanted Cameron, I wasn't stopping him." Max stated. "So what are you gonna do now, Cameron?" Alex inquired. Cameron's mind tossed around so many things. He didn't know what to think. 'Does this mean Leon wants a relationship with me?' Cameron thought. "Leon said he always knew I was gay...." Cameron confessed the thing that bothered him the most. He told his friends about the girl and what Leon did. He felt hurt that Leon tricked him. "That bastard," Max muttered. "As much as I hate that he did that to you, you can't just run away." "Maybe you should talk to him. I bet he's as confused as you are." Kim placed a hand on Cameron's arm. "But is school the right place?" Alex wondered out loud. Max and Kim shook their heads. "Ok," Cameron conceded. "I'll talk to him after school; maybe we can go somewhere and talk it out." Cameron shook his head, "Enough about me. How was Kim? She's finally back from her family vacation?" "Hot as usual." Kim replied dreamily. "My Kimmy is all grown up." "So true. She could be a model." Max agreed. Alex looked at Max, and then turned away. "You ok, Alex?" Max asked, concerned. He saw out the corner of his eye that Alex looked uneasy. Alex nodded. Cameron and Kat exchanged looks and decided to change the subject. ******************************************* School finished pretty quickly as the rest of the day went on, the rain stopped as well. As soon as the bell rang, Cameron ran to his locker to catch up with Leon. The more he thought about it, the more Cameron concluded that he wanted Leon to feel the same way he did and explain why he kissed Cameron. Cameron arrived at the lockers and looked for Leon, but he couldn't find him. He glanced around, searching for the brunette. 'Did he escape to the parking lot?' Cameron thought. 'No way is he getting out of this.' Cameron ran to the parking lot to find Leon's car. Cameron spotted Leon's Mercedes still parked. He decided to wait by the car. Leon walked out of school about fifteen minutes later with his backpack slung over his shoulder. Leon saw Cameron leaning against the passenger's side and froze. He was in no way prepared to face Cameron after what happened at lunch. But Cameron meant a lot to him, so he kept walking forward. "Hey, Cam." Leon spoke. Cameron lifted his head and smiled when he saw Leon. "Good, you're here. Come on, I thought we were going to your house." "We are? You're not mad?" Leon questioned. "You're not gonna yell at me?" Cameron stared directly at Leon, which made Leon feel uneasy. Cameron smiled once again, "Aren't you gonna unlock the door?" "Oh." Leon pulled out his car keys and pressed the button. At the sound, Cameron opened the door and got in. Leon didn't know what Cameron was up to, but he knew it was going to be a long day. ******************************************** Leon parked the car in his driveway. It seemed that his parents weren't home; that should have made him happy, but instead, Leon became more nervous. Silence drifted in the car between Cameron and Leon. Cameron glanced at Leon, opened the car door, and exited. "Oh, god." Leon whispered. The last thing he wanted was for Cameron to hate him. This was his chance to convey his feelings to his sandy blond haired friend. Leon got out of the car, ready for whatever was going to happen. Cameron stood on the porch of Leon's house. "What's taking you so long?" Cameron looked surprisingly calm. Leon was taken aback by his usual attitude. 'Does he want to forget what happened?' Leon asked himself. He felt a pain in his chest. Leon didn't want Cameron to act like that. He wanted something more out of their friendship, but what if Cameron didn't? What if Cameron didn't even want a friendship anymore? They entered the house and Leon led the way to his bedroom. Cameron looked around the house in awe. Leon's parents were very wealthy people. His father was the CEO of some sort of corporation that owned many industries, from sales to a few music ones. It was rumored that he might (and was willing) to take over the company. His employers thought he was a great boss to work for. His mother was a lawyer who was famous for never losing a case; the good thing about that was Leon's mom was always on the side of justice. Leon's parents always found time to spend with their son, despite the heavy responsibilities of their jobs. Leon's bedroom seemed over spacious, but it also had a home feel to it. A king sized bed fitted in the corner near a window that overlooked the backyard. To the left of the bed, the bathroom looked so white and luminescent. On the other side was a dresser and next to it sat a desk with a laptop. Cameron dropped his backpack next to the door and sat on the bed. Leon swallowed nervously. This image of Cameron on his bed played out differently in his head. "Leon," Cameron patted the bed. "Sit down." Leon immediately sat next to Cameron. Leon knew that Cameron wanted to talk. He rubbed his sweaty palms on his jeans. "Cameron, I'm really sorry about this afternoon. I should've asked to kiss you and I shouldn't have forced you." Cameron nodded and stared at Leon expectantly. He wanted Leon to apologize for something else. Leon looked back and realized he forgot something. "Oh!" Leon gasped. "And, about the girl, I never meant for that to hurt you. It's just I never thought you would tell me. You seemed so enclosed in yourself. I just wanted you to open up to me; and it looks like I did it the wrong way. I'm sorry." Leon finished, sure that was all he did wrong until Cameron stared at him—with the same look he had the whole time Leon talked, a blank face. Cameron didn't seem impressed by Leon's apology. "Cameron...say something, please." Leon pleaded, grabbing Cameron's hand. Cameron shivered from the contact-- the shiver reaching down his spine and another place. "Leon, I'm mad at you because..." Cameron stopped, thinking of the right words to say. Leon cringed and braced himself for what Cameron might say. "You didn't tell me that you liked me, you jerk!" Cameron hit Leon's arm and crossed his own arms. "What?" Leon said in shock. "You're mad because I didn't say I liked you?" Leon repeated. Cameron nodded his head, "Yup. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm pissed off at you for what you did when we were younger. But I was even more pissed off that you kiss me and then just left without finishing the job or saying anything." Leon looked at Cameron with disbelief. "I sometimes forget how feisty and sassy you can be." Leon smirked. He leaned toward Cameron's lips, but Cameron moved back. "Oh, no you don't. Leon, you don't get off that easy," Cameron moved a hand between them to create space. "Like I said, I'm still pissed. And you have to do a whole lot to make it up to me." Leon tilted his head, as if he was trying to think of a solution to make Cameron happy. "To make it up to you, we could make out." Leon offered. Cameron looked at him, "Yeah, right." At that moment, Leon closed the space between them and sealed Cameron's lips with his own. Leon gently pushed Cameron on his bed with his body. Their make out session was getting hot and heavy, and Cameron definitely felt the tingle in his body. His jeans began to feel uncomfortably tight, along with feeling Leon's erection rubbing against his own. Leon moved from Cameron lips, to his jaw, and then started to suck a spot above Cameron's collarbone. "Oh, my god." moaned Cameron, grasping Leon's back and raking a hand through Leon's silky hair. "You know, I'd rather just be called Leon." He laughed while stopping the suction on Cameron neck. He lifted himself up and stared at Cameron on his bed. Leon glanced at the mark he left before lifting his eyes to Cameron's face, feeling a strange sense of satisfaction. "Shut up, you conceited jerk." Cameron smiled, staring back into the grey eyes that turned dark. Cameron pulled Leon to him for another kiss. He knew he shouldn't get too carried away, but Cameron also couldn't ignore that this sexy stud wanted him. Leon wasted no time going at Cameron's pace. He removed his shirt, showing off the body Cameron loved so much. To Leon, Cameron looked like a kid in a candy store, rubbing his hands all over Leon body. Cameron moved to kiss Leon's neck and found a certain spot under his ear. "Somebody's a little sensitive." Cameron chuckled when he felt Leon shiver. Cameron continued to attack that spot, licking and lavishing. Leon moaned and pulled Cameron as close as humanly possible, grinding their jeans together. When he felt Cameron suck on his ear lobe, Leon felt the urge to take control and dominate the situation. He pushed Cameron back onto the bed and took off his shirt. Cameron felt uncomfortable being stared at and used his arms to cover himself. "Baby, don't hide yourself from me. I've never seen you so self-conscious." "It's just...I don't want you to be disappointed with what you see. I know I not the worst looking guy and all. I just want you to have everything you want, just like you're everything I want." "And you are, Cameron. You mean so much to me. You are everything I want. I mean if you weren't, I probably wouldn't like you, but I do, so that means you are and--," Leon kept babbling. Cameron stopped listening after the first sentence and pulled Leon down for a kiss to shut him up. "Ok, ok, I heard you." Cameron smiled. "So, does this mean...we're, you know, together?" Cameron asked shyly. Leon smiled, "Do you want to be?" "YES! Uh, I mean...yes." Cameron blushed. "Me, too. So I guess that means you're all mine. No one else's." Leon touched his forehead to Cameron's and received a smile. Leon returned the gesture and moved lower down Cameron's body. Leon looked like a handsome devil, licking Cameron's nipple while watching him writhe and grab on the sheets. After giving one attention, Leon thought it was only fair to give the other some 'Leon time' as well. He circled the tiny nub slowly a few time before placing his mouth over it. Leon sucked on Cameron, slightly hoping to leave a bruise on the tender flesh. Cameron could do nothing but allow Leon to do what he wanted—not that he had a problem with letting Leon have full reign. Leon moved lower, kissing Cameron's flat stomach on the way down. Cameron pulled Leon to his face for a kiss as Leon unbuttoned their jeans. Cameron tried to stifle a moan when Leon pressed his hard-on into his own. Leon contained an animalistic desire to rip Cameron clothes off, but with every ounce of will, he prevented that situation. The last thing he wanted to do was push Cameron into something. Cameron wasn't making it easy; he started to slide his hand down to feel Leon's package. When he squeezed, Leon wanted to throw every feeling out the window. Cameron chuckled as he watched Leon's face show conflicting emotions. "Aren't you acting dirty?" Leon tugged on Cameron's bottom lip. "Should I stop?" Cameron smirked, grabbing Leon's taut ass. "If you do, I'm gonna kill you." Leon pushed himself harder against Cameron. Lost in their own little world, they failed to hear a car pulled in the driveway next to the Mercedes. A man and a woman stepped out of the car. "Oh, look Andrew," the woman pointed to the Mercedes, "Leon's home kind of earlier than normal." "Well, maybe we can get him to do cook something for us, Sage. Let's tell him we broke our hands and maybe he'll be sympathetic." Andrew laughed holding up his hands to his wife. "I doubt he would fall for that, dear." Sage grabbed some bags from the car and walked to the house, shaking her head at her silly husband. "Leon? Where are you? We have groceries in the car." Sage called out. "Maybe he's in his room. I'll go get him. That kid needs to get out more, maybe some extracurricular activities or something." Andrew mentioned to Sage. "He said he didn't want to do that stuff. Apparently, he doesn't like some of the kids: too snobby, he says." Sage replied, placing the groceries on the granite kitchen island top . She tucked her dark brown hair behind her ear and sent her husband a sympathetic look; while their son was athletic, he never wanted to join the teams. Her husband wanted Leon to do all sorts of sports; but Leon made no effort to try out. "Whatever, I'm going to get him to do something." Leon's father mumbled, walking upstairs to a certain boy's room. What happened next certainly wasn't what he expected. "Leon." Andrew knocked twice and twisted the door knob, "Help with the grocer--" He couldn't finish his sentence when he saw his son kissing the neighbor's kid. While he and his wife were away, Leon and Cameron didn't get much more than a shirt off and jeans unbuttoned—but that didn't stop them from leaving marks all over each other. They turned their head at the doorway and their faces wore a stunned expression. Andrew stood there, not knowing what to say or what to do. "Dad... I..." Leon struggled to button his jeans and find his shirt, as Cameron sat frozen behind him. "Downstairs. Now." That was all his father managed before walking out and closing the door behind him. "Oh shit." Leon has never seen his father act like that. He knew he was in trouble, big time. "Leon, I'm so sorry." Cameron whispered as he put his shirt back on. "I don't want you to be in trouble." "It's alright, Cam. You look kinda cute when you're scared." Leon held Cameron's face in his hands. "You never know when to stop, do you? Your parents are going to kill you!" Cameron smacked Leon's hands away. He was angered at Leon's nonchalant attitude when they were just caught by Leon's dad! "I know they're going to be mad, so I might as well savor you while I have you." Leon casted his eyes down. Leon didn't really know how his parents would react and he was actually scared of what they would do. He stood up and offered his hand to Cameron, who hesitantly placed his hand into Leon's. Hand in hand, they walked downstairs and braced themselves for what was to come. ************************************* They sat down on the couch in the living room. Cameron wrung his hands in his lap, obviously nervous. Leon sat next to him, passing sympathetic glances. Andrew paced back and forth, while Sage stood behind him, deep in her own thoughts. "So, how long has this been going on, Leon?" His father finally stopped pacing and looked at them with his arms crossed. Andrew's intimidating presence made Leon understand why the workers or rival companies never trifled with his father. His salt and peppered hair showed that he had experience and his big stature made others feel fear. "I believe I asked you a question." Andrew repeated. Leon jumped at his voice and couldn't seem to find his own. Cameron wasn't doing any better: his whole body was shaking. "Andrew, please. You're scaring the poor thing." Sage reprimanded her husband. "Well, if they would just answer the damn question." Andrew retorted. "Today! We didn't do anything before!" Cameron yelled out. Leon and his parents turned their heads towards him; it seems Cameron broke under the pressure. "Today?" Sage repeated. Cameron nodded his head quickly. Sage and Andrew looked at each other. "Leon...how long have you been..." Andrew paused, searching for the right words. "Gay?" Leon offered. His eyes didn't move from the floor and he never looked his father in the eyes since he and Cameron were caught. Andrew grunted. "To be honest, I don't know. I don't even consider myself gay." Leon said. Cameron turned his head in shock. After all that's happened, is Leon going to deny their new relationship? "I just know that I really care about Cameron. I like him a lot. To tell you the truth, I won't say I love him because I haven't earned his love first. But when that day comes, I'll be sure to return his words." Leon finished. Cameron stared at Leon; he seemed to have thought about their lives a lot more than Cameron gave him credit for. Leon's parents also stood there; they couldn't believe what their son just said. Leon felt embarrassed; time seemed too slow as the seconds ticked away, and no one in the room has said anything. "Well? Aren't you guys going to get mad?" Leon finally looked up. If he was going to get in trouble, he might as well face his parents. Leon didn't want Cameron to seem like a one-time thing that he could just get over; Cameron meant more than that to him. Leon's mom moved towards the kitchen. The three guys in the living room heard shuffling and some drawers being closed. Sage came back into the living room, hiding something behind her back. 'Oh my... what if she stabs us?' Cameron foolishly thought, clearly not losing his fear. He shook even more, grabbing Leon's arm. Sage walked in front of her son with very poised and calm body language. She pulled the thing from behind her back and Leon was surprised to see a wooden spoon. She held it in both hands, almost as if to feel the weight. She tapped it against one of her hands. Suddenly, Sage hit her son on the head; the loud thump made Cameron jump and Andrew laugh. Cameron thought the noise sounded like a crack in wood. Always Ch. 03 "Shame on you for thinking we'd do something terrible to you and Cameron!" Sage shook the spoon at Leon. "You just hit me with a spoon, I call that terrible!" Leon whined, rubbing the formed lump on his head. Cameron didn't know what to do other than touch Leon's head to make sure it wasn't fractured. Leon winced at the touch. "Now, that was hilarious," Andrew finished laughing. "But dear, you could give him a concussion." He took the spoon from Sage and placed it on the coffee table a several feet in front of the couch. "Now we need to clear the air." Andrew and Sage regained their composure. Andrew continued, "We certainly have nothing against you boys for being the way you are. But I have a major problem." Leon and Cameron waited for him to finish. "No way in hell are you kids doing what you were about to do in my house. Hell, Cameron, Leon isn't even allowed to have a girl in his room without permission—let alone a half-naked boy." Cameron blushed at the reminder of Leon's dad catching them. "Dad, we weren't doing...much." "Oh, really?" Andrew stared at the hickey on his son's neck. "Didn't look like that to me." "Maybe we should have the sex talk..." Sage told her husband. "Not the 'where babies come from' but the 'safe sex' talk." "Oh god, Mom, NO." Leon groaned. Cameron sat back on the couch just watching Leon's family interact. He thought it was fascinating how they had an air of playfulness but still kept boundaries. "So when two people love each, they show each other in a certain way; and that's sex.—" "MOM!" "And it's completely understandable to have those urges, but you have to be safe and use—" "OK, OK, I get it! We're sorry for what happen upstairs and we won't do it again!" Leon lifted himself from the couch. 'At least, not in your house.' Leon thought to himself. "Good, because I think I've been traumatized, severely." Andrew sighed. "Wait, are we not in trouble then?" Cameron finally spoke after a long time. "Nope. Leon's grounded for not telling me sooner about you two, and then for what happened in the room. Two weeks. You're coming straight home after school and Cameron's not allowed in your room without permission." Andrew finalized much to Leon's despair. "And besides, Cameron, shouldn't you tell your parents, too?" Sage asked. "Uh...maybe later, when they get home." Cameron replied softly. "When do they get back?" "Usually around nine or ten. They've been busy lately." "Then why don't you have dinner with us?" Sage smiled sympathetically at Cameron. Leon grabbed Cameron's hand for support and Cameron nodded. **************************** After dinner, Leon walked Cameron back to his house around nine. Cameron's parents were still not home. Cameron was used to them not being there and preferred not to hear them fight. "Your parents are really something." "No kidding. It was so embarrassing for my dad to catch us. I'm sorry about that." "It's alright," Cameron laughed. "They really made my day." Leon leaned against the door of Cameron's house. "I hope they're not the only ones." Cameron closed the distance between them. "Of course not." Cameron placed his hands on Leon's chest and their lips touched. Leon pulled his body closer and wrapped his arms around Cameron's waist. Cameron moved his hands up to Leon's hair. They didn't want to let go of each other, but Leon saw the porch light of his house flash—a signal from his dad. "I think you should get home before I get you in more trouble." Cameron giggled. "Aw, but I like it when you get me in trouble, it always leads to us making out." Leon nipped at Cameron's lips . "If my parents weren't home, I'd go upstairs with you." Leon whispered. "But they are, so you should go home, bad boy." Cameron pushed Leon towards his house. "Next time, I'll make sure you get to punish me." Leon tossed over his shoulder while walking back to his house. Cameron watched Leon's perfect ass move up and down in his jeans. Cameron couldn't believe his day: rain and cold, John and him almost getting into a fight, and finally Leon becoming his boyfriend. Cameron suddenly thought about their relationship and the last thing he wanted was for it to end. He shook his head of the thoughts; Cameron loved Leon and he would do anything to keep their relationship in a good state. Cameron unlocked the door to his house and went to his room with new material for his erotic dreams. *********************************** "Cameron, you're so sexy." Leon whispered in Cameron's ear. Cameron moaned as Leon stuck his tongue in Cameron's belly button. His tongue left a wet trail as he went lower. Leon stroked Cameron's length and nuzzled the messy bush above it. The more Leon stroked, he added more pressure as his hand moved up. Cameron gripped the sheets below them harshly. He placed his hands in Leon's hair and pulled when he felt Leon engulf his hard pole. Cameron felt the warm, moist environment surround himself. Leon licked the head of Cameron's penis and circled it a few times. He seemed to love torturing Cameron. Leon licked along the vein, feeling the texture along his tongue. Cameron could take no more of the sweet torture and looked into the eyes of his lover. "Leon, I can't..." *********************************** An alarm clock sounded and threw Cameron out of his dreams. He slammed his hand on the annoying object. He groaned into his pillow before lifting his head. The sun shone brightly into his room. Cameron got out of bed and searched for something to wear. After getting dressed, he went downstairs for breakfast. "Mom? Dad?" Cameron called out. "You're finally up." Cameron's mom, Carry, replied. She shuffled around the kitchen. "Have you seen my keys?" Carry opened drawers, searching frantically. "I have a meeting to go to." Cameron pointed to the drawer next to the sink. She found the keys and rushed to the door. "Are you going to be home today, mother?" Cameron already knew the answer as the words came out of his mouth. "I'm not sure. Your father is going to be home early I think, though. Why?" Carry stood by the door, putting on a jacket. "I need to talk to you guys about something," Cameron wrung his hands. "It's really important." "Is it about school?" Carry asked. Cameron shook his head. "Then it can wait until later." Cameron's mom determined. "It's not about school, but it is about my future. Please, Mother." Cameron pleaded . Carry sighed, "Alright. I'll be home at seven, so you better be thankful I have enough time to spend with my child." "Yes, thank you, Mother." Cameron nodded as she left. He heard the car leave and released the breath he held. Cameron sat alone at the kitchen table, thankful for the silence. His mother's short attitude did little to his happiness. Cameron realized when he got up that he had a boyfriend. Cameron laughed to himself when he recalled his dreams from last night. He really wished he slept more. In such a good mood, he left his house with a smile. Cameron noticed that Leon's car wasn't in the driveway and frowned when he realized he wouldn't be able to go to school with Leon. "Hello there, dear." Cameron looked up and saw Sage walking out of Leon's house. "Heading off to school?" Sage's face held a smile and it seemed like a natural mother look. "Yup. I'm nervous and excited for some reason." Cameron put an arm over his stomach. It felt full of butterflies. "Hm, I think I know why." Sage narrowed her eyes. "Huh?" "Well, Leon seemed excited too. I think he can't wait to show you off." Sage remembered her son's smile when he left, and she smiled softly to herself. "To show me off?" Cameron wondered. "That's what men typically do when they get a new girlfriend. Anyways, I have to head to work. There's going to be a boring meeting." Sage got into her car. She waved to Cameron as she drove away. Cameron thought of Leon walking with him in school and pictured them holding hands. He started to walk to school, smiling even more. He was sure that his face would hurt at the end of the day. "Wait, did she say girlfriend?" Cameron said aloud, finally registering Sage's words. "Geez, first Kat and now Leon's mom pictures me as girly. How embarrassing." Cameron hit his head with his hand. After walking about twenty minutes, Cameron finally arrived at school. When Cameron walked to the front of the school, Alex ran up to him. "Is it true Cameron?" Alex asked suddenly. "It's too early for me to answer questions. My cluelessness goes to the teachers." Cameron chuckled and kept walking inside the school. Alex walked beside him. "I'm serious, Cameron." "Ok, so what are you talking about Alex?" They got to their lockers and Cameron began to unlock his. "I heard that you and Leon are a...couple." Alex said softly. "Really? Where did you hear that?" Cameron didn't know if he was ready to have a relationship out with one of the popular guys at school. As much as he would love to have their feelings out in the open, the backlash from others might not be so good. Cameron was also worried that people would treat Leon differently; and that would be the last thing he wanted. "Alex, where did you hear that from?" Cameron repeated. "Leon told his friends when they asked him about a hickey." Alex unconsciously touched his neck. "And others overheard their conversation. You know words spread quickly here." "Are you sure Leon said it himself?" Cameron asked. Alex nodded. "Let's go. I know he's sitting at the stage as usual." "Shouldn't we wait for the others, for extra support?" "I don't think they want to see me yell at my boyfriend for not telling me he was going to say something." "So it is true." Alex clapped excitedly. "But you're not really mad, are you? He seemed really happy to tell people, from what I heard." "I just want him to let me know when he does these things. Oh man, I can just imagine Max and Kat when they hear about this." "Hear about what?" Cameron and Alex turned when they heard a soft voice. "Hey, Kim!" Cameron hugged his dark haired friend. Alex waved and hugged Kim, as well. Max was right in saying Kim could be a model. Her feathered black hair naturally came over her right shoulder and a fringe partially covered one of her eyes. Her hazel eyes stood out and were the first thing people noticed about her. Kim's usual style included Goth or casual. She could pretty much wear anything and the guys would flock to her. Kim used to hang out with Jenny and even dyed her hair blonde. When she realized they acted rude to others 'not worth their time' and talked behind their backs, Kim ditched them in a heartbeat. Since sophomore year started, she went back to her usual style and met Cameron, Max, and Alex through Kat. "So what's going on?" Kim asked. "Cameron has a boyfriend. And he's pretty hot." Alex told Kim. "No way," Kim looked at Cameron. "It couldn't possibly be Leon, could it?" Kim raised an eyebrow at Cameron and he shrugged his shoulders. "Oh my dear Buddha, that is so hot!" Kim squealed. If anyone knew the real Kim, they would know she loved yaoi and any saucy scene between men. "Kim, please put a stop to your active imagination. And Alex, stop laughing!" Cameron pointed at them. "I wanna laugh at Cameron, too. That's what I live for." Cameron rolled his eyes when he heard Max's voice. Max and Kat walked up. Max slung an arm around Alex's shoulder and gave Alex a questioning look. Alex whispered to Max as if he were telling him a secret—with his hand covering his mouth. Max looked shock and started to laugh. "Are you serious?" Alex nodded at Max's question. "Why would anybody want Cameron?" Max sarcastically said. Cameron glared at his so-called 'friend'. "What? What's going on?" Kat asked. Kim filled her in on the details of Cameron's new relationship. Kat's mouth opened in shock. "Cameron!" Kat grinned. "That's fantastic! Does that mean you guys did more than just talk yesterday?" Everyone suddenly talked at once to Cameron. He felt overwhelmed with his friends' questions and comments. If this was his friends finding out the news, then how would the other people in school react? "Ok, guys, that's enough." Max silenced the group. "I think we're gonna give him a heart attack." Everyone turned their heads to Cameron and saw the stress written all over his face. The group mumbled apologies. "Thanks." Cameron mumbled, as well. He trapped himself in his own head; questions, once again, made him uneasy. "Shouldn't you be bouncing off the walls with excitement, Cameron?" Max walked in front of Cameron, taking his arm off Alex. "I don't know," Cameron answered. "What about everyone else?" "Don't worry about everyone else. Relationships end because people worry what others think. If you're happy, then that's all that matters." Max lifted Cameron head with a finger. "Ugh, how come you always say the most meaningful things?" Cameron smiled. He knew he could count on Max for a lot of things, even if they argue. "Because he's perfect. I figured out that he's amazing from all the girls that talk about him." Leon suddenly stood next to Alex. Before he realized it, Alex flinched in fear. "Sorry, Alex. I didn't mean to scare you." Leon apologized and placed a hand on Alex's shoulder. "I-it's all right. I know I could be jumpy, sometimes." Alex moved his eyes down and blushed. Max grabbed Alex and moved away from Leon. Alex became used to Max's possessive and overprotective nature. Cameron, Kat and Kim were used to Max acting that way, too. Leon felt like he stepped on a land mine. "Sorry, didn't realize I did something wrong." Leon looked confused. Cameron moved next to Leon, "Don't worry about it. It's a long story." Cameron glanced at Max whispering to Alex. He figured Alex wasn't comfortable enough to let Leon know, so he changed the subject. "So, what's this I hear about people talking about the hot guy in school having a new boyfriend?" Cameron narrowed his eyes. "Huh?" Leon feigned ignorance. "I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about." "Everyone else in school does." Kat chimed in. Kim threw her a look and grabbed her arm. "We're heading to the bathroom. Let's go, Katherine." "Aw, you used my full name. Does that mean I'm in trouble?" Kat pouted. Kim nodded her head as they walked away. "Let's go to the cafeteria, Alex." Max finished whispering to Alex. "It's bad enough that you're skin and bones, but you don't have to look anorexic." "I'm not that skinny," Alex touched his stomach and lifted his head to Max. "See? There's fat somewhere." Alex poked his stomach repeatedly. "Alright, come on before you poke yourself to death. See you guys later." Max pulled Alex by the wrist. Alex waved to Cameron and Leon. Cameron waved, smiling at their antics. "Well, Leon?" Cameron crossed his arms. "Well, you see, what happened is my friends saw this giant hickey under my ear," Leon pointed to his neck, "and they kept pestering me about it, so I told them." "And what did they say?" "I don't think they cared. I mean, they had that 'oh my god' face, but that was about it. They're not prejudice, if that's what you're wondering." "Good. I don't want people treating you differently because of me." Cameron stared at the ground. "Because of you?" Leon questioned. "Last time I checked, I agreed to be your boyfriend and made out with you. Don't act like this is some kind of crime." "I know. Max already told me about thinking like that." Cameron seen an odd expression cross Leon's face, but didn't know what it meant. "Besides, shouldn't you be happy that you're going out with me?" Leon wrapped his arms around Cameron's waist. Cameron couldn't resist Leon coming on to him. He leaned forward on the rock hard body, wanting to kiss Leon. "It's true..." Leon looked passed Cameron with irritation at the sound of someone's voice. John stood behind Cameron—with a disgusted look on his face. Cameron rolled his eyes. "Leon, man, you can't be serious about this." John ignored and pushed Cameron against the lockers. "About what?" Leon's face wore an exhausted expression. John was the last person he wanted to see, let alone talk to him about his business. "That," John shoved a hand towards Cameron, "Please tell me the rumors are fake, that you're not really with him, or gay." "First of all, if I hear you call him 'that' again, we're going to have an issue. Second, my business has nothing to do with you, but if you must know, yes, he's my boyfriend. And third," Leon stepped toward John, "Touch him again like that, and I'll break a finger." Cameron couldn't believe Leon could be so intimidating and scary. He imagined Leon's father when he saw Leon standing next to John. "But how could you let him trick you? You let him turn you gay!" John yelled. "Oh my god, I'm talking to a monkey," Leon whispered to himself. "Like I said, we have nothing to do with you. Goodbye." Leon grabbed Cameron's hand and felt like he couldn't get away from John fast enough. Cameron saw the look of anger on John's face. He knew they didn't hear the last of him. They walked to another hallway that was sparse of other people. Leon let go of Cameron's hand and seethed with anger. "Motherfucker!" Leon punched the nearest locker, leaving a small dent. "Son of a bitch!" The noise made Cameron jump in surprise. Cameron's eyes widened at the act and he didn't know what to do or where to look. Leon's anger scared him, but proved Leon was not a person to mess with. Cameron took a few steps back, furthering the distance between them. Leon was still stuck in his anger until he saw the fear in Cameron's eyes. "Shit." Leon muttered. "I'm sorry, Cam. I didn't mean to frighten you." Leon turned his head away from Cameron; he despised his own actions, especially the fact that he showed Cameron such a side of himself. "It's okay," Cameron placed a hand in Leon's arm, "You're the one I'm worried about." Cameron's voice sounded so small. Leon cursed himself for making Cameron act in such a way. The bell alarmed them that it was time for class. "Is your hand ok?" Cameron grabbed Leon's hand and saw the bruised knuckles. Leon pulled his hand away, "Don't worry about it. I'm alright. Let's go to class." Leon went to walk away, but Cameron pulled him back. Cameron stood on his tip-toes and grabbed Leon's shoulders to kiss him. As soon as their lips touched, Leon's anger melted away. Cameron grabbed his hand again and softly massaged the battered hand. "You excited to hear about history?" Cameron whispered to Leon. Leon laughed at the sudden change of mood. "Oh, definitely. I also want to know what made you all spacey yesterday in class, and why you were drooling." "No, no, no. I'm never telling you about that." Cameron immediately moved away from Leon. "Oh, come on. It sounds like a very interesting story." "No, it doesn't." They argued all the way to class. Cameron was happy to see Leon acting like his normal self. The way John acted scared Cameron. It was almost as if he didn't want to believe that guys like Leon could be gay. Cameron feared the rest of the day and what else may lay in wait for their new relationship. What was obvious though was the fact that Leon would readily defend their relationship. Cameron's heart and mind held uneasiness. He hoped that his life would become simple soon. Always Ch. 04 Hello everyone! I'm truly sorry for the delay! Thank you to all the readers -hugs- you guys keep me alive! Also, thank you to my editor LaRascasse for the ideas that ended my writer's block and for looking over my work. Please enjoy. ********************* Max took his seat across the aisle of Cameron's desk. The only good thing about history class was they actually got to sit near each other. Cameron denied it, but they sometimes passed notes like girls. The last thing he wanted or needed was something that made him look more girly. Max seemed back to his usual self since what happened with Alex and Leon. Cameron worried that Max might overact and he knew of Max's past actions to people who did rude things to Alex. However, he had to understand Leon never meant to scare Alex. "Is he okay?" Cameron stood next to Max's desk. "Yeah, he just freaked out for a moment, but Alex is fine." Max sighed with exasperation. "You sound tired." Cameron kneeled with his head and arms on the desk. "I just don't want him to deal with the crap from home at school. This is the one place he could escape and I don't want him to have anxiety attacks here." "Max... I know you want to protect him but..." "Enough about that shit. Alex is okay now, so let's stop talking about it." Max waved his hand as if trying to get rid of the situation. "So how are you and your new lover boy?" Max changed the subject and glanced at Leon, a few seats ahead of him, talking to some friends. "Me and my lover 'man', because he's all man, are doing great," Cameron's eyes shifted down, "But..." Max waited for him to finish. "But?" "You should've seen when John came up to us. He didn't say much, but he royally pissed off Leon. When we went to another hallway, he punched a locker; he even left a dent." "So are you saying he's crazy like the Hulk?" Max laughed. "No, you jerk! I'm saying has a secret side to him..." "Are you scared of that side? What if he does something to you?" Max's face turned serious. Cameron didn't respond; he didn't know what he should say. In truth, he was scared of Leon's hidden temper. He saw the look and hatred in Leon's eyes for John, and Cameron shuttered remembering. However, Cameron knew that his boyfriend would never hurt him. "Yeah, you don't want to be close to me. I could seriously hurt you." Cameron and Max lifted their heads to see Leon standing with his arms crossed. Cameron stood. "I-I didn't mean it that way at all, Leon!" Cameron stuttered. Leon glanced at Max. "Don't look at me for an apology." Max said, calmly as ever, with his head in his hand. "Max!" "What? Cameron, you want me to say sorry for worrying about your well-being? Yeah, right." Max stood and moved in front of Leon. Their soon-to-be confrontation did not go unnoticed by the others in the room. Some of the other students in the classroom turned their heads to see what could happen. Both Leon and Max were well-known in the school. That being said, they were also known for not backing down from fights. Though Leon and Max were far from delinquents, their tough guy exteriors were backed by their bodies and strength. "You guys, please..." Cameron's concern showed clearly on his face. "Leon." One of Leon's friends, Jamie, walked over to the guys. "Don't." Jamie looked like the prime example of a frat boy: short hair that was spiked in the front, a good sized build, and dark brown eyes. His older brother and Leon's older brother knew each other in high school, and as a result, they became very good friends. Leon's hands clenched tightly. Max looked determine to return anything Leon threw at him. "Fight! Fight!" Someone in the class yelled. "Come on!" Another egged on. Max and Leon continued to stare in each other's eyes, clearly waiting for the other to make a move. Everyone (with their full attention toward Leon and Max) could see the dangerous feeling passing between them. Cameron felt a cold shiver run down his spine and wished he never said anything. "Leon, control yourself. Do you think it's ok to start something here? Especially with Max?" Jamie's voice of reason seemed to get through to him. Leon broke eye contact with Max and finally realized the situation he started. Just then, the teacher entered the classroom, oblivious to what happened. "Why is everyone standing? Take your seats, students." The students groaned and sat begrudgingly into their seats. Leon mumbled some sort of apology and quickly moved back to his desk. Jamie shook his head and gave a sympathetic smile to Max before walking away. Cameron felt lost during the whole confrontation; what made him feel terrible was that he didn't know how to calm Leon down or how to apologize. ************ "I can't believe that happened." Cameron opened his locker. "I wish he would've hit me." Max leaned against the lockers, disappointed. "That was my perfect chance to hit the pretty boy." "Max! Stop, please. I don't want my best friend and boyfriend to fight!" Cameron slammed his locker. "Hey, I can't control what he starts, but I can damn well finish it. I don't mind beating his face." Max smiled at the though, while Cameron rolled his eyes. "Max—" Cameron began to scold his friend. "What's going on?" Alex stepped to the side of Max. "Nothing. Don't worry about it, Alex." Max slid his arm around Alex's shoulders and slightly shook Alex side to side. "Oh no, I don't think so. Alex," Cameron grabbed Alex's arm, pulling him away from Max, "You need to hear what your great friend did right in the middle of class." Cameron pulled Alex and started walking to class. "What do you mean Cameron?" Alex looked back at Max following them. "Maxi?" Alex looked at Max with confusion. "Don't listen to him, Alex! He's insane!" When they got to class, Cameron headed straight to their usual table. He gratefully eyed the same substitute from yesterday, playing on his phone and yelling about some red bird. Cameron stopped dead in his tracks when he noticed Leon and Jamie sat across from Kat and Kim. The red head giggled from what Jamie said, moving her head in Cameron's direction. She waved Cameron, Alex, and Max over with enthusiasm. Max pushed Cameron forward. "Hey, did you hear? Our teacher is out on maternity leave! We're gonna have that substitute for at least a week!" Kat grinned excitedly. "And our Kimmy sneaked in here!" Kat patted Kim's knee. "I have a free period anyway. The teachers don't care what I do as long as I don't cause any trouble." Kim suddenly narrowed her eyes at Kat. "Katherine, if your hand goes any higher on my thigh, we're going to have problems." Kat immediately removed her hand, while the others at the table laughed. Cameron's eyes immediately focused on Leon, "T-that's great, having a substitute and Kim here." He saw Jamie elbow his friend. Leon got up from the stool and pulled Cameron to the side. "I'm sorry for the way I acted. I didn't mean for it to go down like that. I completely overreacted." Leon shoved his hands in his pockets out of embarrassment. "I don't want you to see me as some crazy, ill-tempered guy." "I know you're not like that at all, Leon. I don't view you like that. I was happy that you defended me when John said things to us, but it was a little unexpected to see you like that. I'm sorry; I didn't mean to bad-mouth you or anything like that. I also want you and Max to get along." "Then don't you think he owes me an apology, too?" Max interrupted. Cameron rolled his eyes and turned to Max. It was Kim's turn to elbow her friend standing next to her. "Shush, will you!" Kim reprimanded with her hands on her hips. "Ow!" Max's arm came over his stomach. Jamie laughed whole heartedly. "You guys are fun to hang out with, but I'm gonna head back to the guys." Jamie placed a hand in Leon's shoulder and walked to another table. As Jamie passed by, Alex's eyes followed him. Jamie noticed Alex staring and smiled. Jamie looked Alex up and down; he winked before walking back to his table. Alex felt his face turn hot and he knew he was blushing. He was happy to see no one noticed their little encounter as everyone's attention turned to Cameron and Leon. "I'm going too. I certainly can't ignore my friends, even if you're hot." Leon smirked and kissed Cameron's cheek. Cameron's eyes gleamed at the attention as Kim squealed at the open affection. Leon smiled and turned to Max. "I'm sorry." Leon held out his hand. "Yeah, yeah." Max made a 'shooing' hand motion. Despite this action, Leon knew Max accepted his apology. Leon nodded. As he turned he whispered in Cameron's ear, "Maybe later I can think of a better way to make it up to you." Cameron blushed at Leon's words and pushed Leon towards his friends. "Good-bye, pervert." Cameron laughed. Leon waved to everyone and walked to his table. Now that things settled down, Alex remembered that Cameron talked about Max doing something. Since Leon apologized to Max, Alex became suspicious that Max wasn't completely innocent in the matter. "What did you do Max?" Alex narrowed his eyes towards Max. "Why, nothing, my dear friend." Max replied innocently. Alex stared at Max, calling his bluff. "Ok, ok." Max conceded. "I may have antagonized Leon, just a little." Max put his hand up with his index finger and thumb close together. Alex quickly turned away from Max and took the stool closest to the wall. He pulled Cameron to sit next to him. Alex never once looked at Max. "Ooh, someone's in trouble." Kat smiled. "Oh come on, Alex!" Max pleaded. "It's not my fault!" "I doubt that. You love to cause trouble." Alex turned his eyes away from Max and started to talk with Cameron. "I'm sorry about him Cameron, he never learns." Cameron laughed at how easy Alex seemed to put Max in check. "That's alright, Alex. I know I can count on you to make him pay for it." "That's not fair. You're using my friend against me." Max sulked with his head in his arms. "Well, it's your own fault. I think Alex likes Cameron more than he likes Max." Kat smiled at how close Cameron and Alex were sitting. "That's not true! Alex knew me before he knew Cameron! So by my laws, he likes me more!" Max stuck his tongue out at Cameron. Alex's eyes widened at Max's words; he lowered his head, hoping his hair would hide his blushing face. The group continued to chat and poke fun at one another, as Alex ignored Max the whole time—much to Max's despair. "Oh no..." Kim mumbled, seeing a bouncing blonde head coming towards their table. "Kim. Glad to see you're back. How was your vacation?" Jenny asked. "Great. Now, what do you want?" Kim clipped. "I just want to know about the rumors," Jenny raised an eyebrow towards Cameron. "Newsflash," Kim stood from her seat, "It's true, and what does that have to do with you?" Kim placed a hand on her hip. Jenny stepped back in disbelief. "You can't be serious!" She turned to Cameron, "What does he see in you?!" Cameron never missed a beat, and with a smile on his face, he answered, "Anything and everything that he wants." "Whatever! When John told me, I couldn't believe it! How dare you steal him away from me?!" Jenny fumed. "He was never yours to begin with. Sorry, but Leon's not into fake people." Cameron replied. Jenny turned in disgust, but not before casting a glare to Cameron. Her hands were in fists as she stomped back to her table. Cameron noticed John sitting with her; Jenny whispered something to him, causing John to give Cameron a glare, as well. "Ugh, these people are going make me die of stress!" Cameron exclaimed, pulling at his hair. "I can't believe her." Kim muttered. "Anyways, let's forget about them!" Kim tried to lighten up the mood, but the look Jenny gave them didn't go unnoticed by her. Kim feared what Jenny planned. ************** After a stressful day, Cameron felt exhausted. Throughout the day, others didn't seem to mind the fact that Leon and Cameron were dating. Because Leon was popular and well-known among the other students, they accepted him without hesitation. His personality certainly helped make him easy to love. The group met up at their lockers after school. "This day was no fun at all." Kim frowned. "I wanted to see you and Leon have a total make out session!" Cameron laughed, "I'm sorry, Kim. I may be open with my relationship, but I won't be doing that in front of people." "But that was the one thing I was looking forward to when I announced that we're dating!" Leon whined, grabbing Cameron around the waist. "Ugh, thank goodness you guys didn't do that." Max said gratefully. "Oh, shush." Kim hit Max's shoulder. "They look so cute together!" "You guys! Let's go out to eat or do something! I don't wanna go home yet!" Kat jumped into the circle with Cameron, Leon, Max and Kim. "I can't." Alex walked up towards his friends. "I promised my dad I would be home." Max's face suddenly wore a serious expression. "Are you sure you can't go?" Max asked. "Sorry." Alex mumbled. Max sighed, dissatisfied with the decision. "I swear, I can't wait for you to leave that damn house." Max muttered. Alex turned his head, knowing how Max felt about his situation. "You guys..." Kim hated how the air around them turned tense. She wanted to change the subject. "Hey! You two are talking again! How did you manage to get Alex to forgive you, Max?" "He said he'd take over a few of my shifts at the store for me." Alex smiled, despite his sad eyes. Max groaned as he remembered their deal. "That sucks; you can't hang out with us." Kat poked out her bottom lip. "What about you guys?" Kat turned to Cameron and Leon. "I can't go, either. My parents are gonna be home and I have to tell them...something." Cameron looked to the side. Leon turned Cameron's face in his direction. "Are you going to tell them about us?" Cameron hesitantly nodded at Leon's question. Leon's mouth dropped in surprise. "I'll drive you home." Leon offered. Cameron nodded; he would need Leon's support. "We'll see you guys later." Cameron waved to his friends. "Tell us how it goes with your folks." Max told Cameron. He nodded as his friends walked in the other direction. Leon and Cameron talked while walking to the parking lot. Cameron loved that even though they were in a relationship, the comfort of their friendship never left. They joked around as usual, which included a few touchy-feely moments from Leon. He wrapped an arm around Cameron's waist, pulling him closer. "I wish we could hang out before you go home." "Me too; but I don't want to upset my parents, especially with what I have to tell them. And you have to go home anyway." Cameron pointed a finger to Leon's chest. Leon nodded, remembering what his dad told him as part of his punishment. "Leon, I don't know how they are going to react." Cameron stopped next to Leon's car. "Don't make that face, Cam." Leon held Cameron's face between his hands. Cameron felt Leon's lips pressed on his own. Leon's tongue swiped Cameron's bottom lip and pried his lips apart. Cameron gripped Leon's shirt, trying to keep his knees from going out from under him. Leon pulled him closer, wanting the contact. However, Cameron remembered what he had to do and pushed Leon back. "How do you always manage to turn everything we do into a make out session?" Cameron tried to suck oxygen into his lungs and resist the temptation that was Leon. "It's a wonderful talent." Leon had a smug grin. Cameron threw him a sarcastic look and got into the passenger's seat. Leon laughed while entering his car. As the car pulled out of the school parking lot, Cameron grabbed Leon's hand and squeezed. Leon saw the fearful look on his boyfriend's face and squeezed back. Leon's parents didn't mind their relationship, but Cameron wasn't so sure of the reaction of his parents. If they didn't mind it, Cameron would be ecstatic; but if they had a problem, Cameron knew how strict and unmerciful his parents could be. All too soon, Leon pulled into the driveway next to his house. "I wish you luck, Cam." Leon leaned in and kissed Cameron on the cheek. Cameron took a deep breath and slightly panicked when he saw both his mom's and dad's car in front of his house. He felt Leon squeezed his hand, which reassured Cameron. "If anything happens, you know I'm right next door." Leon turned Cameron's face away from his house. "I know. You're my own guy next door." Cameron smiled, with his eyes casted to the side. Leon gave Cameron a quick kiss on the lips and got out of the car. After one more deep breath, Cameron left the car. He slowly walked to his house from Leon's driveway. Cameron opened the door to his house with a shaky hand. "Mother? Father?" Cameron called out. "We're in here." Carry replied. His parents sat at the table in the dining room. Cameron's parents took pride in their house having an elegant and perfect appeal. The room was lighted by a chandelier above the rectangle table. "You wanted us home early, so what did you want to discuss?" Beck, Cameron's father, asked. "Uh," Cameron started while taking a seat. He felt like it was a business meeting rather than talking to his parents. "There's something I need to talk about." "And that is?" Beck expected Cameron to continue. "It's about Leon, too." Cameron's eyes shifted between his parents. "That boy...he's Sage's son, right?" Carry suddenly became interested in what her son was saying. Cameron nodded. "You don't have a problem with Leon's parents, do you Mother?" "Of course not. They are our neighbors after all, such nice people." Beck crossed his arms, "What did you want to talk about? We don't have all day." "Well, Mother, Father," Cameron closed his eyes and with a deep breath said, "I'm...gay." It felt like an eternity passed for Cameron. He felt the unsaid tension in the elegant room. Cameron gripped his hands together, trying to prepare himself for whatever his parents threw at him—literally and figuratively. "You're lying." His father's deep voice made Cameron shake. Cameron tucked his head down and shook his head. Cameron tried to hold back the tears that threatened to spill. He could barely hold himself back from running out of the room. "Mom...please say something." "Since when?" Cameron lifted his head at the question and felt sort of angered. "Since when? I've always been this way." Carry and Beck held blank faces. Cameron thought the question was ridiculous. His tears disappeared when he was asked the question; as scared as he was of his parents, he accepted who he was. Since he dealt with hecklers before, Cameron was used to defending himself. "Gay...as in you like—" "Guys, men." Cameron finished for his father. Beck stood and slammed his hands on the dining table, causing Cameron to jump. Cameron forgot to hold his blunt-self back when speaking to his parents. He had to remember that he wasn't dealing with high school students, but his image-worrying, easily angered parents. "Cameron, go to your room right now. We'll speak to you when we finish talking." Beck pointed upstairs and Cameron immediately ran from his seat, almost knocking his chair down. Cameron slammed the door to his room, sliding down the door with his hands blocking his eyes. He feared what his parents might do, so Cameron got up and pulled a suitcase from his closet. Cameron knew he was being hasty, but in his head, he had to prepare for the worst. Cameron continued to throw clothes into the bag until he heard his father's voice. "Cameron, get down here now." Even with the door shut, Cameron heard his voice loud and clear. Not wanting to give his parents something else to yell at him about, Cameron hurried downstairs. Beck indicated for Cameron to seat. Always Ch. 04 "Why did you decide to tell us?" Beck sat slowly in his seat. Cameron wasn't expecting that kind of question and had to think about the answer. Cameron answered truthfully, "You're my parents, and I want you guys to know what happens in my life." Beck and Carry looked at each other and faced their son. "Would you rather me not tell you? Blissful ignorance?" Cameron commented. "Is it so wrong to keep things the way they are?" Carry said in a low voice. Cameron stood up "But what way is that to live? You like not knowing who your son really is?!" All too fast, Beck stood up and rounded the table. Cameron didn't know the hit was coming until he felt it on his face. The sound made Cameron remember the moment where Sage hit Leon on the head, but his parents were nothing like Leon's. There was no playfulness or light teasing. "Don't talk to your mother that way." Beck's voice was calm, almost as if he had no problem hitting his own child in such a way. "Apologize. Now." "I'm sorry." Cameron nursed his bruised left cheek with his hand. "Now, we are going to compromise this situation you placed us in." Beck returned to his chair across the table. Carry didn't move an inch from her seat since the conversation started. "What do you mean?" Cameron's face felt on fire and tears began to form. He used all his might to put an end to his emotions in front of his parents. "It means that we will...tolerate your choice, so long as you agree to our terms." Beck folded his hands. It looked like he was negotiating with a co-worker. 'Choice...' Cameron thought about the word his father used. "And the terms are?" Cameron asked. "You will act as though this whole thing never happened, and you can continue living here." Carry spoke. "What?" Cameron gasped. He flinched at the pain in his face. "And we will arrange something for you in the future." Beck finished. "Arranged? You don't mean—" Cameron planned to be kicked out, but his parents had something else in mind. "Yes, an arranged marriage. You're almost eighteen. One of your mother's bosses has a lovely girl. He could give her a promotion, not to mention I could get a good reputation in the sales world." "You and mom want to hide that I'm gay...and make me marry someone... use me..." Cameron's voice slowly trailed off. "Yes. It's the best decision for all of us, as a family, Cameron." When Carry spoke his name, Cameron felt a knot form in his stomach. "What if I just leave?" Cameron's eyes stared off in space, not looking at anything in particular. His voice was now a whisper. Beck smothered a laugh. "And where would you go? What would you do? You don't even have a job. Cameron, we are doing this for your own good." Cameron wasn't listening to anything. He was dazed—off in his own little world. He knew his parents weren't the easiest to get along with, but to think they would suggest such a thing. Cameron kept mumbling to himself, unable to comprehend the situation. His eyes showed a blank expression as he talked to himself. "Nothing...alone...no choice...no...I have Leon." Carry perked up, "Did you say Leon? What about him?" Beck and Carry gave Cameron a questioning look. It finally dawned on Carry. "Oh my...are you and Leon...Sage's child..." Carry turned to Beck. "He's been with Leon." Carry's hand covered her mouth. "That means..." Beck looked down in thought and spoke in Carry's ear, "Maybe that will be better than with the girl. Andrew and Sage are very well-known people." Carry nodded. Beck cleared his throat and placed an eerie smile on his face. "Let's backtrack. Why don't invite them over for dinner?" "What?" Cameron was tired of the loops his parents have thrown him into. "We've decided that you can be with Leon, but first we want their family over for dinner." Carry stood up, "So I'll go call them. Come on, Cameron, let's set the dinner table." Carry pulled Cameron up by the arm and Cameron felt more confused by his parents' actions. One minute, they wanted to hide the fact that he was gay for fear that it would affect their status. The next minute, they're welcoming his boyfriend's family with a smile. *** To Cameron, the hours until dinner passed very quickly. He wanted to tell Leon about the conversation he and his parents had, but his parents rarely left Cameron alone. Leon became suspicious of what was going on; he didn't expect this reaction when a son tells his parents that he's gay—then again, he didn't expect his parents' actions either. Leon also noticed a bruise on Cameron's cheek that wasn't there before. Undoubtedly, his parents also had to notice. "I think this is such a wonderful surprise." Carry smiled. "Our darling boys are getting to know each other so well." "Indeed." Sage narrowed her eyes towards the other female. She didn't trust Carry one bit. Sage passed a worried glance toward Andrew—who seemed to have trouble holding in his anger. "Okay, what the hell is this about?" Andrew slammed his fist on the table. "Dad." Leon reprimanded his father. "What do you mean?" Beck continued eating. "Why the hell would you invite us over so suddenly? I'm pretty sure you didn't do this out of the kindness of your heart." Beck decided to drop the act. "Our son, Cameron, told us something very interesting today." Cameron dropped his head. Leon clenched his hands at Cameron's movements. "He told us he was gay. Not only that, but he's supposedly with your son." "And you have a problem with that?" Andrew's patience was thinning with each passing second. "Not at all, as long as there is something in it for us." Beck finished with his hands folded. Leon and his parents stood up simultaneously. "What?! How could you use your own child like that?!" Sage yelled. "We didn't want him like this, so we might as well get the most out of the life he has chosen." Carry defended. Cameron said nothing at his mother's and father's comments, merely just accepting their will. "What do you want?" Andrew said through his teeth. "I'm sure we can negotiate something." Beck pointed towards the kitchen. He and Carry quietly walked to the kitchen. Sage and Andrew look at each other, then followed suit. "Wait!" Leon stopped his parents. "You won't actually do what they want right? You guys can't let them use Cameron like this!" "We have no choice right now." Andrew whispered. "But—" "Leon, that's enough. Go check on Cameron. We'll be right back." Andrew quickly went to the other room with his wife. Leon listened to his father and ran to where Cameron sat. He didn't move from his seat at all. "Cameron..." "I'm so sorry!" Cameron buried his face in his hands. "I should have never told them! I wish they weren't like this! I was so proud to be with you and I thought they would understand, but they don't! They're terrible! They'll never really love me!" Leon didn't know what to say. His heart broke as Cameron cried. "Cam...Please don't cry." "I want to leave! I want out of this place!" Cameron left his chair and ran upstairs with Leon following him. Cameron shoved more clothes into the suitcase he started packing earlier. Leon grabbed Cameron's wrists. "Cam, stop." Leon said in a calm voice. Cameron pulled his hands away. "Let go!" He zipped the suitcase and grabbed it off his bed. Leon finally had enough. "Cameron! Stop!" Leon pulled Cameron against him. Cameron stared into Leon's eyes and finally broke down. He's been complacent of what his parents wanted, holding in so much; Cameron's tears trailed down his face. Leon held onto Cameron tightly as they slid to the ground. "I'm sorry." Leon murmured. He lifted Cameron's face and kissed the remaining tears in his eyes. Cameron looked Leon in the eyes. Leon made him feel safe, even as his world was falling apart. Cameron's eyes lowered to Leon's lips and he immediately took advantage of the situation. Cameron sat on Leon's lap and nipped at his lips. "Cameron." Leon pulled away, trying to resist due to the emotional state Cameron was in. Cameron shook his head. "No more waiting. I've had enough of listening to other people. For once, I'm going to do what I want, and what I felt like doing since I realized I liked you." Cameron pushed Leon on his back and shoved his tongue in Leon mouth. He felt a surge of domination and arousal when he heard Leon moan. Cameron slipped his hands under Leon's shirt. He passed his hands over Leon's nipples, loving the feeling the hard nubs gave him. Leon felt Cameron lift his shirt over his head. He nearly lost it when Cameron's wet tongue traced one of his nipples. Cameron treaded his hand through Leon's silky hair as he teased Leon's nipple. Cameron rubbed his jean cased erection against Leon's bulge. Cameron moaned as he pressed his lower half harder into Leon. As much as he loved the sensation, Leon realized Cameron's emotions were in overdrive. He had to control Cameron before they did something Cameron was just a few months too young to do. "Cameron, listen to me," Leon focused Cameron's face on his own; "We have to fix what's going on right now. I don't want to do this when you're so...emotionally exhausted." Leon created space between them. "You're kidding right? Here I am, willing to do everything you want, and you're pushing me away?" Cameron sucked Leon's bottom lip into his mouth. Leon sighed and willed his body to listen to him. His body screamed to take Cameron, to lick every inch of his body, to make him moan and plea for Leon to fuck him... 'Ok. Not helping.' Leon scolded himself for his thoughts. "Look, do you think right now is a good time? Any other day, babe, any other time, I would love to do some really perverted things to you." Leon said so matter of fact. Cameron smiled at Leon's humor. He leaned against his bed. "You're right...I guess I got a little out of hand." Cameron took a strand of hair and put it behind his ear. "Not that I didn't like it." Leon moved next to Cameron. Leon was happy to see Cameron smile. Leon's smile faded as he looked at Cameron's face. "Did they do that to you?" Leon's knuckles smoothed over Cameron's cheek. Cameron winced slightly and nodded. Leon tried to contain the anger he felt. He had to think about Cameron first and foremost. "What am I gonna do?" Cameron put his arms on his knees, remembering what his parents planned. "They're going to use me to blackmail your parents." "I'm sure we can think of something. Do you have any other relatives that could take you in?" Cameron shook his head. "My aunts and uncles live kind of far away. Besides, I doubt they would do anything to jeopardize a good relationship with my parents. They all worry about what others think of them. I could get a job and pay for my own place." "But you still have school, not to mention you're a senior. Between the final exams and how much work you'll have to do to make enough money for a place, you'll be exhausted." Leon reminded Cameron. "What am I gonna do?" Cameron repeated. "I can't take living here anymore, especially if my parents are trying take things out of yours." Cameron briefly considered to just run away, packing his stuff and just going to hotels. Leon recognized the look in Cameron's eyes. "No way. You're definitely not gonna be some wandering teenager." Leon silenced any thought Cameron had of running away. Leon bit his lip and decided to swallow his pride. "Let's call Max. ********* After explaining a difficult situation to Max over the phone, Cameron couldn't believe how much crap he's been through today with his parents. Max was none too happy to hear about what was happening. "Man, I knew your parents were tight asses, but I didn't know they would do this! What are they doing now?" "It's been an hour since dinner and they're still talking with Leon's parents. Max, I don't wanna be here anymore." Cameron's voice sounded exasperated. He and Leon sat on his bed. Leon rubbed Cameron's back, trying to sooth away some stress. "Damn." Max tried to think of something to do. "Hey, your mom and dad aren't too familiar with my dad. Why don't you come live with me?" "What?" Cameron was taken aback by the suggestion. "Yeah, I mean, we don't have that long to wait until we go to college. Plus, school's gonna end soon. I'm sure my dad will have no problem taking care of you 'til then." "But Max..." "No buts. We're getting you out of that house. Those people are the kinds that don't deserve to have kids, not that I'm saying they shouldn't have had you. You're ok, I guess." Cameron could hear Max shrug over the cell phone. "Gee, thanks, so-called best friend. I don't want to burden your dad, but I'll do anything to get out of this place." Leon kissed Cameron on the cheek and whispered, "I could take you to heaven." Leon slid his tongue towards Cameron's ear and gently nibbled on it. "Leon..." Cameron licked his lips as Leon slid his tongue around the shell of his ear. "Gross, I could hear you two and it's making me gag. Hurry up and get your stuff over here." Max shuddered. Cameron pushed Leon away from him with a laugh. He placed a hand over the receiver, "Hey, I already tried to take you there, but you said no." Cameron stuck a tongue out at Leon and continued the conversation with Max. "How about tomorrow? It's the weekend and I have to at least tell my parents..." "After what they tried to do? I would just leave." "I owe them an explanation. If I just leave, that will make them angrier." "I guess. Call me and I'll pick you up tomorrow." "Ok." Cameron hung up the phone. He imagined the conversation he would have with his parents. They wouldn't be happy, especially since Carry and Beck are negotiating with Leon's parents. Cameron leaned against Leon with a heavy sigh. Today has certainly been a rollercoaster. "What did Max say?" Leon questioned. "He said that I could live with him and his dad, at least until we go to college." Cameron felt Leon go stiff. "If you have to live with somebody, then why not with me and my parents? They really like you and think that you're a good guy." "That's too close to here. They would bother you non-stop. They know Max, but they don't know where he lives." Leon's face showed concern. Cameron knew Leon didn't like the idea of him living with Max, but Cameron didn't have another choice at the moment. "You don't have to worry about anything. I'm with you, not Max. I think it's time for you to get over your jealousy, sweetie. You and Max almost got into a fight and that scared me to death!" "I know, I know. I'm not jealous him, per se, more like I'm jealous that you can count on him so easily. And another thing, sweetie? Don't make me sound so feminine." Leon turned his head. Cameron laughed. "Now you know how I feel." The rest of their time was spent with Cameron in Leon's arms. The silence around them was comfortable. Cameron worried over what was happening downstairs. Dinner started around seven and their parents didn't finish talking until ten. When it was time for Leon, Sage, and Andrew to leave, the tension in the air seemed to suffocate those in the house. Andrew and Sage looked as exhausted as Cameron felt. Carry and Beck stepped out of the kitchen with satisfied smirks, clearly impressed with the work they did. Cameron felt terrible for Leon's parents and how his own parents forced them in a corner. Cameron knew he had to fix everything as soon as possible.
