This particular trip was for a small group of friends and we were heading to New Orleans for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. We met at the airport bar at 9:00 on a Friday morning, and started the party then. I'm not sure how many drinks we had before making the 1-hour flight, but suffice it to say that we were pretty wired when we boarded the plane. We arrived in New Orleans about 11:30, and the flight attendants were glad to see us get off of the plane. We found a taxi and headed into town to our hotel. Once settled in our rooms, we decided to head to the casino and see what Lady Luck was going to start us off with. Actually, it didn't go too bad. We each left with a little more than what we walked in with. Next was a short walk down to Bourbon Street, and hit the first bar we came to. We ordered our drinks, listened to the music, and laughed at the people dancing. After having a few, we would get out on the dance floor and make complete asses out of ourselves, but who cared? We didn't know anyone and no one knew us. We'd stay around for about an hour or so, then go in search of the next one. There were a few that we really liked and wanted to remember which ones they were so we could come back later, but that's not an easy thing to do when you've had too much to drink. The day turned to night, and the partying got wilder. We were out on one of the dance floors when the DJ made an announcement and asked me to come up to the stage. Once there, he informed everyone that it was my birthday and that a group of us were in town for a weekend of partying. That just made the crowd wilder, and our whole group ended up with more free drinks. We hit the dance floor again and out of the blue this guy starts dancing with us. He cuts in and gets in the center of us, then starts dancing with each one. The guy was flat out FINE in my opinion. Tall, about 6'2" or so, rock hard body, and a very nice ass. I had seen him at a few other places earlier in the evening, but didn't think much of it. He looked familiar, but I couldn't figure out why. Alcohol will do that to you. I decided that I needed a break and went outside for a few minutes to get some fresh air. I was leaning against the building when I saw him come out. He came over to where I was standing and introduced himself as Rick. When he spoke, it dawned on me who he was. I could never get enough of that gravelly voice. You know, the deep down, melt your bones kind of voice. I'm thinking to myself, 'No, it couldn't be. No way is this happening. I am not standing here with Vin Diesel. It must be the alcohol affecting my brain.' But when I really looked at him, I knew it was. But he said that his name was Rick. Ok, I'll play along and act like I don't know who he is. "Hey Rick, I'm Gwen." "Nice to meet you. Did I hear the DJ right that it's your birthday?" "Yeah, it's tomorrow so we decided to take a trip and celebrate." "Cool way to celebrate. By the way, happy early birthday." "Thanks. We thought so. Time to escape reality for a weekend." "God, I can relate to that. That's why I'm here too. Well, me and a few of my friends. I guess this is the best place for it." "I couldn't agree more." We stood there for a few more minutes talking, then decided to go back in. The girls saw us come in together. Rick headed to his group of friends, and when I got back to our table, the girls were looking at me funny. I explained that I needed some air and went outside, and that's when Rick came out. I decided that I'd keep his secret and not tell them who he really was. Rick and his friends came over and we all introduced ourselves. Then back to the dance floor everyone went. It was a madhouse out there. Everyone was dancing in a big group, then we'd take turns dancing with different people. It was a blast. The DJ played a slow song and Rick came up behind me and asked me to dance. His voice sent shivers down my spine. I turned around and went right into his arms. He's tall, but not too tall since I'm 5'8". His arms went around my waist and pulled me close. I could have died a happy woman right then and there, but thankfully that didn't happen. His arms were huge, and I loved the feel of his muscles. We talked while we were dancing, about anything and everything. I could listen to that voice forever. I was staring at his lips, wondering what they would feel like if he kissed me, when I realized that he had asked me a question and was waiting for an answer. "I'm sorry, what did you just say?" "I asked where you were headed after this." "Don't know, where ever our feet take us, I guess. We've been bar-hopping all day and I don't know if we're even close to being finished." "Yeah, I noticed that you've been to several places. And no, you're not even close. There are so many places around here that you won't be able to hit them all." "What do you mean, you noticed that we've been to several places?" "I've been watching you all evening. Discreetly, of course." "But of course. May I ask why?" "Yes you may, but you won't get an answer." "Why not?" "You'll find out later." The song ended and we went back to where the two groups had taken up residence together. We decided to head out to another place, so off we went. I was walking with the girls when one of them asked me, "Why do you have that silly grin on your face? Do you know something that we don't?" "No, why?" "Because you look like you have a secret. So, spill it!" "There's nothing to tell." "By the way you were looking at Rick during that last dance, I'd say someone wants something that only he has." "Hell, who wouldn't? The man is gorgeous!" "Be careful. You don't know anything about him." "Nothing has happened so there's nothing to be worried about." "Nothing has happened YET." While we were walking, I noticed Rick talking to one of his friends. Apparently, he was getting the same interrogation that I was. I also noticed all the women checking him out. I wonder if they've figured out who he is. Let's hope not. Hopefully everyone is too drunk to care. We finally reached our next destination, another bar just like the last. They all start to resemble each other when you've been drinking all day and night. Rick and the guys head to the bar and bought us a round of drinks, then the next thing I know he's pulling me to the dance floor. He's dancing behind me, so close that I can feel him. I raise my arms into the air, swaying back and forth to the music, and he runs his hands down my arms and sides, settling them on my hips. He pulls me back against him, my back against his chest, and we rock back and forth to the music. The music changes to a slow song, and I turn around in his arms, resting my hands on his shoulders. "What are you thinking?" he asks. "You really don't want to know." "Try me." "Well, that's one way to put it." "Really, what are you thinking?" "What it would be like to kiss those gorgeous lips of yours." Oh man, did I really just say that? As he lowers his lips to mine, I realize that I must have. Either that or he's a mind reader. Our lips touch, hesitantly at first, but find it to each other's liking. Tongues meet and circle, deepening the kiss. It was a perfect fit. I ran my hands slowly, deliberately down the length of his back, down to his ass, then back up. He pulled me closer to him so I could feel the effect that the kiss was having on him. Good, glad to see that it's working. He ran his hands down to my ass and let them stay there. The song was winding down, so we broke the kiss and came up for air. "Damn," he said. "What's wrong?" "Nothing's wrong, other that the fact that I have a raging hard-on now." "I guess I should say I'm sorry, but I'd be lying." "I'm not sorry either. Want to know why I was watching you?" "I don't know if I really want to or not, but tell me anyway." "One reason is that I was wondering exactly how long your legs are. The other is to see if your ass felt as good in my hands as it looks in those shorts." "Oh that's classic! How long did it take you to come up with those?" "I'm just kidding," he says, chuckling. "Seriously, I was watching you and your friends earlier and there was just something about you. I don't know how to explain it. It's like there's this connection or something." "So how is your research going?" "Hell yes, your ass feels great, but I still don't know how long those legs are." That made me smile. "We'll see what we can do about that part later. Want to find out anything else?" Where in the hell did I get the courage to ask him that? Oh yeah, too many Amaretto Sours. "Don't put the offer on the table if you're not willing to pay up." "Oh, I'm good for it." "I'll bet you are." We went back to the table and had a few more drinks, then decided to get away from all the noise. I told the girls that we were heading out and I'd see them in the morning. They started acting like MOM, telling me to be careful, but at the same time, have fun. They had hooked up with Rick's friends, so I figured that it wouldn't be too much longer before they started heading off in their own directions also. We walked around watching the activities, and then veered off of Bourbon Street onto another one, this one much quieter. We were walking along when all of a sudden he stops, pushes me against the wall of a building and kisses me again. It started off slow and sweet and then turned into something else. It was like we wanted to crawl into each other's skins. Our hands were all over each other, then he grabs my ass and pulls me tight against him. We came up for air and he said, "See what you do to me?" "No, I don't do that to you. With enough alcohol anyone could do that to you." "Maybe, but you're the one who's doing it right now. I told you that I had been watching you and your friends, and then when I heard that it was your birthday, I thought to myself that this couldn't have worked out any better." "But why me? There are so many women to choose from out there. I know you don't have a problem getting their attention. I've watched them on the street tonight. So what was it about me?" "Because you're real. You don't put up a front and act like something you're not. That plus the fact that you haven't asked me why I lied about my name." With that I had to smile. "I figured you had a good reason to tell me you were someone else. I mean, if I were in your position, I would have done the same thing. I'm sure it gets old when women chase you because of who you are." We started walking again. "It does, and that's why I wanted to get to know you. I know you knew who I was when I introduced myself to you outside earlier, but you didn't miss a beat with it. I like that in a person." "The goatee almost threw me. It was your voice that sealed the deal. I was wondering what name you were going to use, but if you want me to call you Rick instead of Vin, then that's what I'll do." "I guess it would probably be the safest thing for all of us. If anyone heard that I was here, we'd have a mob scene on our hands." "I'd have to agree with that. Tell me about your friends. How do they fit into the picture?" "They are some guys that I grew up with and we still keep in touch. I'm in between projects right now and decided I needed a vacation, so I called them up, grabbed a flight, and here we are for the weekend. What about your friends?" "Same thing. Friends from way back who wanted to get away from it all and celebrate my birthday." "That's cool. My friends keep me grounded and don't let the fame and bullshit get to me. If it looks to them that it's starting to, they pull me right back down. That's what real friends are for." "I couldn't agree more. We've gone through a lot of stuff together and it's nice to know that you can call someone up in the middle of the night and they'd be there for you, no matter what." "That's the way it is with us. If anyone of us ever needs anything, the others are there for him. Ok, enough of the serious shit. Where to now?" We had been walking for awhile so decided to hit one more place before calling it a night, well, by now it's morning. He led me into this one courtyard and it was nothing like we had been to before. It had a tropical theme and it was quiet - not the loud music that we had been listening to all night. There was a small waterfall at one end next to the bar, then several tables surrounding a dance floor. They were playing what I call "soft-rock", the kind of music I like to unwind with. There were a few people on the dance floor, and Vin grabs my hand and leads me out there. The song was a fast one, so we started dancing and then it switched to a slow one. He grabs me close and said that he was hoping it would be a slow one so he could get me in his arms again. He definitely knows which buttons to push. We had been dancing for awhile when I told him that I needed to get back to the girls. "No you don't. They're being well taken care of." "By your friends I suppose?" "Yep. Before we left I told them to make sure nothing happened to the girls, or they would have to answer to me. They all agreed that there was no problem in them staying around. They had already picked out which one they wanted for the weekend." With that I had to laugh. "I guess you did too, right?" "Hell yeah, but I had already told them that you were off limits, and they had to choose between the other three." I started laughing. "What would have happened if my friends didn't like yours? Did you ever think of that?" "Yeah, and I told them that if the girls aren't interested, then it's no big deal. Just have a good time." "We didn't come down here looking for guys. Believe me, that wasn't even on the agenda. But since things don't always go as planned, I'm not going to tell you to take a hike. Quite the opposite. I may be blonde but I'm not stupid. We're pretty close to my hotel, want to walk me up to my room?" "Sure. I don't see that there would be a problem with that," he said, grinning. And with that we headed to my hotel. Once we got into the elevator, we couldn't keep our hands off of each other. I wanted to fuck him right there but decided that because I had waited this long I could wait a little longer. We got off the elevator and he picks me up and carries me to my room. I start laughing and he's telling me to be quiet. He set me down long enough to get the key-card out of my pocket, and then snatches it out of my hands, opens the door, and pulls me inside. He pins me to the wall with a kiss, then starts to kiss down my neck. I'm hanging on to him because I can't support myself any more. This is something you always dream about but never expect it to come true. I somehow manage to pull off his shirt and he pulls me against him again. We're kissing and he reaches around, grabs my ass, and picks me up, sliding me against his hard cock. I wrap my legs around his waist and he carries me to the bed. The muscles this man has are unbelievable! My mind is spinning. I'm in a hotel room with Vin Diesel and he's only half dressed! I smile at the thought of that and he asks, "What's so funny?" "Nothing's funny. I just realized that I'm kissing the sexiest guy in the nation and he's only half-dressed." He grins and says "You know what that means?" "That I'm very fortunate?" I answer. "No, it means you're way overdressed." He sits down on the edge of the bed, and pulls my shirt up over my breasts and off my arms. He bends me back and starts to kiss my neck and down my throat. In no time he has my bra unhooked and slowly slides the straps down over my shoulders and arms and throws the bra to the end of the bed. His hands are on my bare breasts now, rubbing his palms over my nipples. I can feel them harden at his touch. He lowers his head again, kissing my lips, working his way down over my neck and collarbone, down to my chest and he takes a nipple between his lips. I arch my back, almost pleading with him to stop. I can't take the exquisite torture. He gives the same attention to the other nipple, gently licking, sucking and biting on it. I moan quietly, trying to catch my breath. I push him back to where he is lying on the bed while I am still straddling his waist. I lean down to kiss him, and follow the same pattern as he did with me, going over his neck, dipping my tongue into the hollow of his collarbone, kissing down across his chest, licking his flat nipples. I slowly trail my tongue across his abs, loving the way he tries to stifle a giggle as I trace my tongue around his navel. My hand goes to the large bulge in his jeans and I squeeze it gently. He groans and I start to unbutton them. I lick just above the waistband of his briefs, slowly pulling them down and kissing the skin as it's revealed. He raises his hips off the bed, allowing me to completely undress him. I grasp his hardness in my hand, gently squeezing the shaft as I lower my lips and kiss the head. His eyes are closed and I trace my tongue around the tip, gathering up his pre-cum. He squirms beneath me as I take the whole head into my mouth, sucking gently. I take more and more of him into my mouth until he touches the back of my throat. I slowly pull the length of him back out of my mouth to the head, swirl my tongue around and take it all back in again. All of a sudden, I change the angle of my head as he slips deeper into my throat. "Ohhhhh, God . . ." he moans as his hands tangle in my hair. My warm, wet mouth moves up and down on him slowly and gently for a few minutes, his breath is coming in short gasps. "Gwen, you're going to make me cum," he says as I continue sucking him, massaging his balls with my free hand. His whole body tenses up and he groans. Soon his hot white liquid squirts into my mouth. I continue sucking him, tasting his cum as he softens in my mouth. I release him and lick the remaining cum from him. I move up and lie next to him, my hands tracing patterns across his chest, listening to his breathing quiet down. He lazily reaches out and brings my hand to his lips, kissing my palm. "Damn!" he says to me, finally opening his eyes. "What's wrong?" "Not a damn thing. It's just that usually when I'm with a woman it's all about her. They just want me to get them off. Some won't even go down on me. If they do, most won't let me cum in their mouths. They pull it out right before I'm ready to shoot my load. But like I said before, you are real. You know what you want and you're not afraid to go for it." "You've learned all that in the past few hours?" "Being in this business, I've learned to read people. I can tell when someone is out for something, if they have a hidden agenda. But you, you're different." "I'm just out to have a good time. It's just coincidence that we happened to be in the right place at the right time, and things just clicked." "I'm glad they did. You know what?" "No, what?" "You still have on too many clothes. I'm lying here butt-naked and you're still wearing clothes. I think we need to fix that." And with that he flips me over and takes care of my shorts and panties in no time. "Damn!" he says, running his eyes up and down my body. "Now what's wrong?" "Absolutely nothing. Exactly how long are your legs?" "Long enough. Thirty-six inches from hip to heel, to be exact." His hands followed the same path that his eyes did. A trail of kisses follows his hands, up to my stomach, my breasts, licking and sucking each one, then on to my shoulders, finally to my neck and face. His fingers search out the place that he wants to be, finding me wet with need for him. He kisses me deeply, then leaves a trail of kisses back down my stomach, pausing long enough to tug on my navel ring, then lower to my pussy. First licking the lips, then sucking gently. His tongue finds my clit, and he gently sucks on it. I'm going wild. I love the feel of his mouth on me, but I need more. I try to get him to stop, but he won't. He keeps on, licking and sucking my clit, until I cum. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 01 Slowly he crawls up the bed, covering my body as he goes. He pauses for a minute, running his fingers through my hair, then softly kisses my ear. I look into those brown eyes and I lose it. "Please Vin, I can't wait any longer!" "Be patient. Good things come to those who wait." He starts to slide into me, but pauses for a second or two. I'm trying to pull him in deeper, but he holds back, only giving a little at a time. Once he is completely inside me, we lie there and enjoy the feel of it - hot and wet. He kisses me deeply and slowly starts to move in and out. My body is tingling from head to toe. I love the feel of his muscles flexing as he moves. I have my legs wrapped around his waist, trying to set the tempo, but he is going at his own slow pace, driving me insane. He starts to speed up, thrusting harder and harder inside me. I rake my nails down his back and grip his ass, pulling him into me. I tell him that I'm almost there, and he leans down and kiss me deeply, sending me over the edge. He can feel me cumming, pulsing around him, which makes him cum too. Once our breathing becomes normal again, he slides off to the side, holding me in his arms. I look up at him, and he has a grin on his face. "What is that grin is for?" "Damn!" "OK, now what?" "Why is that when I say 'damn' you always assume it's something negative?" "I don't know. Maybe it's because I don't want to do anything to shatter this dream. This is one of those times that I want everything perfect." "Oh I'll let you know if you do something that I don't like. So far so good." "Alright, you probably just jinxed it. Now the rest of the trip will probably suck." "Not if I have anything to do with it. Are you sharing the room with one of your friends?" "No. We decided that we would all have our own rooms, that way if someone wanted to flake out early, the others coming in later wouldn't bother them." "Sounds reasonable to me." "What about you and the guys?" "Same thing as far as separate rooms, but not for the same reasons. If we scored this weekend, we wanted our privacy." I laugh at that. "Just like a man. Brutal honesty. I'm like that, and some people don't like me because of it. But that's just the way I am." "That's good. Not good that people don't like you, good that you are honest. You are one of the few people who I can be myself with, and that's a very good thing. Most people want me to be the person they saw in one of my movies, but that's not me. He's just a character that I brought to life. You'd be amazed at some of the shit that I've had to go through." "I guess some part of you has to be insane in order to survive it all, but on the flip-side, retain a little sanity for when you want to be yourself." "You know, you are a very wise woman. I couldn't have said it any better." "So what do we do now? Do you get up, get dressed, say 'Thank ya kindly' and ride off into the night?" "Is that what you want me to do?" "Hell no! Do I have STUPID tattooed on my forehead? I want you right where you are." "Then right here is where I'll stay." We prop the pillows up behind us and flip on the TV to see what's on, which turns out to be not much at 3:30 in the morning, other than a few movies on pay-per-view. I settle back against his chest and before long, I fall asleep in the circle of his arms. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 02 The next morning I wake up to find myself totally naked, which is nothing new since I sleep in the nude, and totally alone in my room. I think to myself, 'Did last night really happen? Did I meet Vin Diesel? No, it was just a dream I had. I passed out from too much alcohol and had a dream about him. But damn, what a dream.' It was at this particular moment that I heard the door to my room open. Not knowing who or what to expect, I screamed. There, standing in my doorway, big as life, was Vin. I try to cover myself but he stops me. "Why are you trying to hide from me? I've seen and tasted every inch of your lovely body, so why play shy now?" "Oh no, this can't be happening! It wasn't real. Us together last night was in my dream. You're not real. Oh man, this must be one hell of a hangover. I'm hallucinating or something." He walks over to the bed, leaning down to give me a kiss. "Afraid not. I'm real and last night really happened." "But when you weren't here this morning when I woke up, I thought that I had dreamt all of it. Where were you? And how did you get into my room?" "I decided to let you sleep in, so I slipped out earlier and went up to my room to shower and change. I borrowed your key-card and let myself back into the room. I was hoping that you would still be asleep when I got back." "I was just lying here trying to decide if last night was real or not." "Well, now that I'm here, what do you think?" "Real. Definitely real." He leans over to give me another kiss. "Are you going to lay around all day or get up and join the world?" "I had thought about joining the world, but since you're here, any chance I can talk you into joining my little world?" "I'll make a deal with you. You join the real world for a little while today and then I'll join yours later." "Deal. Will you go start the shower for me while I get my things?" "No problem," he says, walking over to the separate shower. He reaches in and turns on both the hot and cold water, letting it run. He turns to ask "How do you like the water, hot or ..." but his voice trails off in mid-sentence when he sees me walking towards him. The look on his face is pure lust. Once I reach him, I start to unbutton his shirt, but he stops me. "Here, let me do it." And with that, he rips it open, sending buttons flying every direction. He sits down on the vanity stool and takes off his shoes and socks, then his jeans and underwear. God the man is built! He grabs my hand and drags me into the shower, pinning me against the shower wall with his body, kissing and nibbling on my neck and shoulders. He grabs my waist, lifting me up as he braces me against the wall, positioning his cock right at my pussy. Slowly he lets me slide down the wall and onto his waiting cock. Inch by slow, delicious inch, he buries himself in me. He holds me there for a second or two, savoring the feel of my hot, silky flesh completely wrapped around him. Then he starts thrusting inside of me. Slow at first, then faster and faster. I wrap my legs tighter around him and grip his shoulders to help by slightly pushing myself up and then sinking back down, trying to get him deeper and deeper inside me. Our tempo increases as the sensations take over our bodies and we start moving faster and faster. He grips my ass tighter and pulls me against him, thrusting harder and deeper than before. Then with one last thrust, he feels my pussy tighten and clamp down on him, which pushes him over the edge. He throws his head back and moans as we cum together. He let go of my legs and I slowly slide back down to stand there as he braces himself against the wall, both of us trying to catch our breath as the water streams over our bodies. "Well, that was definitely more fun than the shower I took earlier." "Why? Nobody to share it with?" "Nope, which is why I decided to come back down here to your room," he says with a devilish grin, stepping out of the shower and grabbing a towel and wrapping it around his waist. "What do you mean, 'back down here'?" I remark, following him. "Didn't I tell you? This is the same hotel where me and the guys are staying." And with that statement, reality set in. "OH NO! The girls! What time is it?" He glances into the bedroom at the clock. "It's 10:15. We've got plenty of time." I walk over and pick up his buttonless shirt. "Looks to me like you need to go get another shirt, unless you plan on parading around without one." He walks over to where his pile of clothes is sitting, and starts to get dressed. "I'll be back in a few minutes." And with that, he gives me a quick kiss and heads out the door. While he's gone, I get dressed and head back into the bathroom to do my make-up and hair. When he returns, I'm in the bathroom pulling my hair into a ponytail. "Why don't you wear your hair down?" he says, watching me in the mirror. I turn to him and rub his nearly bald head. "Considering that you don't have much hair, you wouldn't understand the fact that it's hot and I want it off my neck and out of the way." He moves to stand behind me and leans down to nibble on my neck. "Mmmmm, I think I like it this way. No hair to get in my mouth." "Exactly what I said ... 'out of the way'." And with that he starts laughing. Looking at the clock, he comments, "It's almost 11:00, time for you to go meet the girls." "I know. Do you want to come with me? I mean, now that it's morning and they've sobered up, don't you think they are going to have questions? I'm sure that they've figured out who you really are, so now what do we do?" "We try to enjoy the rest of the weekend. But now that it's daylight, and when we leave this room, everyone is going to recognize who I am. Some people won't make a big deal about it, but then there are some that will want to stop and take a picture or want an autograph. Do you think you can handle that?" "I think so. But we need to check with the others to see what they want to do. If it were just you and me on this trip, I'd say that it would be no problem, but I have others to think about. The only thing we can do is ask." And with that we left the room and headed downstairs. The only one to see us coming off of the elevator was my friend, Jenn. I could tell by the look on her face that she recognized him. The others were seated around small tables, talking to Vin's friends. Maybe this was going to be easier than I thought. We approached the group and the looks on my friend's faces were priceless as they each recognized who he was. Before any of them could start their questioning, I decided to lay it all out. "First of all, I'm sure that since everyone is sober and awake, you recognize who he is. Last night he didn't want to use his real name, such as it is, because he didn't want a bunch of people crowding around and ruining the evening. But today will be a different story. I'm not sure what you want to do, but if he and the guys come with us, we'll be dealing with the fame side of his life. So, I'm going to leave it up to you to decide. If you want it to be 'just the girls' then that's the way it will be. But if you think that you can deal with all the extra attention we'll be getting, then we'll all go out together." It didn't take long for them to decide that we would all go out together. Each of them had hooked up with Vin's friends, so it was going to be all eight of us going out and having fun together. His friends were used to that part of his life, and we were going to learn about it. As it turns out, it wasn't too bad. Most people left him alone and very few wanted to stop him. We headed out to eat lunch, then decided to do the tourist thing. We went to the Aquarium of the Americas, then boarded the Eco-Cruise that would take us to the Audubon Zoo. Everyone had a great time. We finally made it back to the hotel around 4:00, and Vin said that he and the guys had a surprise for us and to meet in the lobby at 5:00. I tried to get it out of him, but he wasn't going to be cooperative. He walked me to my room and said that he'd be back in a little bit. I was stepping out of the shower when he came back to the room with a change of clothes. "Damn, I thought I could make it back before you got out of there. Care to join me?" He walks over and tugs at the towel I'm holding. I lean up and lightly kiss him. "Take a rain-check? We need to get dressed and downstairs for the big surprise you guys have planned. I promise I'll make it up to you tonight." "Alright. But tonight you are mine." "I wouldn't have it any other way." He gets undressed and steps into the shower while I sit at the vanity and start to put on my makeup. The shower has glass walls on two sides, so I decide to sit back and watch him. He lathers up the washcloth and runs it all over his body, making me wish that it was my hands. Shit, I'm getting wet from just watching him take a shower. Once he's finished, he grabs a towel and dries off, then heads into the bedroom to get dressed, but not before stopping behind me to ask if I liked the show. I started laughing and followed him into the bedroom to get dressed. As I walked by him, he pops me with the towel he was wearing around his waist. I grabbed it, and he yanked on it so it would pull me to him. He grabs the towel I was wearing, leaving me naked. "I'd advise you to hurry and get dressed because if you stand here like that for very much longer, I'm not going to let you out of this room and you'll miss the surprise." And with that, I was dressed in record time. We made it downstairs with time to spare because we both knew that if we stayed in the room much longer, we wouldn't be leaving it until the next morning. Apparently everyone else had the same idea, because they arrived right after we did. Vin walked over to the front desk and talked to one of the clerks, and then a man dressed in a suit walks up and talks to Vin. He motions for us to follow him. Outside, a stretch limo is waiting for us. "Where are we going in this?" I ask Vin. "I told you, it's a surprise. So quit asking and just enjoy it," he says, giving me a quick kiss. We all pile into the limo, the girls wondering what's going on, the guys wearing smug smiles because they already know. We travel through the streets of New Orleans, then out to the Toulouse Street Wharf to catch the Riverboat Dinner and Jazz Cruise. As if that wasn't enough, Vin has reserved a private room for all of us, away from everyone. We have our own buffet tables and the food is delicious. Everyone finishes their dinner and we decide to go outside with the others and enjoy the evening on the river. The moon is just coming up and it is beautiful. I'm standing by the rail, enjoying the night, when Vin comes up to me. "So, what do you think? Too much?" "Yes, this whole weekend is too much. But I wouldn't trade it for anything. And in case I forget to tell you tomorrow, thank you for this weekend. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined anything like this could have happened. You have really made this a birthday that I'll never forget." He pulls me into his arms and kisses me. "There's more to come." "Vin, this is more than enough. Me and the girls are having the time of our lives, but you have to stop." "You don't understand. The 'more to come' is for me and you, later." And with that he turns me around in his arms so we can watch the moon come up over the river. Who would have thought that Mr. Tough Guy has a soft side? The riverboat pulls up to the wharf and everyone disembarks. We are all standing around wondering what's next when Vin grabs my hand and starts walking. Everyone follows. Down the wharf a little ways, two carriages are waiting for us. We get into the carriages and go on a tour of the French Quarter. When the tour is over, they drop us off at the hotel. We head back to Bourbon Street for a little while, but drinking and dancing is not what we have on our minds. We stayed with the group for a little while, but eventually made our way back to the hotel. Instead of going to my room, we went up to Vin's suite. Now, I thought mine was nice, but when you are Vin Diesel, it's nothing but the best. I walked into his suite and almost fell over. It was beautiful, and it was huge. He had a balcony off of the living area, and the doors were open with the curtains drawn back, and the cool evening breeze was blowing into the room. There were candles lit everywhere with music playing on the stereo. He walks over to the bar and pours me an Amaretto Sour. I slipped my sandals off and enjoyed the plush carpet. "How did you pull this one off? The drink, the candles, all of it? Come on, fess up." "I called the hotel while we were at one of the clubs earlier and told them that I'd be arriving in a little bit, and they came up and took care of it all." He hands me my drink. "Mmmmm, to my knight in shining armor." I salute him and take a drink, following him out onto the balcony where he pulls me onto his lap when he sits in one of the lounge chairs. "What did I do to deserve this weekend?" He slowly caresses my face. "I said it last night, there's a connection between us. I don't know what you call it, fate or whatever, but for some reason I knew that I was supposed to be here this weekend. And I guess you are the reason." I lean down and lightly kiss him. "Sounds perfectly logical to me." "I hate to put a damper on the evening, but what time is your flight tomorrow?" "Tomorrow afternoon at 1:00. Why?" "Just curious as to how much longer I have you all to myself." "We're leaving the hotel around 11:30 to head to the airport, so I'm yours until then." "Very good," he says, pushing me up from his lap and pulling me back into his domain. "Dance with me?" There was a slow song playing on the radio, or maybe it was a CD with nothing but slow songs on it, and I went into his arms. We danced for a little while, then with each song, more and more clothing disappeared. First it was his shoes and socks, then his shirt, then mine. Next off was my bra, his pants, my skirt, his underwear, then mine. As each article of clothing was removed, our need for each other grew. By the time we had undressed each other, we were ready to explode. Dancing naked together was wonderful. His hands were roaming all over my back, down to my ass, up my arms. I did the same to him, loving the way his muscles flexed each time I touched him. He took my hand and led me into the bedroom, another large room with the balcony doors and curtains opened, more lit candles. This was something out of a fairytale. These kinds of things happen only in your dreams, except my dream was coming to life. He led me to the bed and when he hands me a blindfold, I get a little nervous. "Trust me, Gwen. I'd never do anything to hurt you. Tonight is for you. Let me do this for you." And with that, he ties the blindfold behind me. He lies me down on the bed, then leaves the room for a little bit. The sounds of the night filter into the room, sounds of a jazz band playing off in the distance, sounds of people on the street. He comes back into the room and sets something down on the table beside the bed. He sets on the bed and leans down to kiss me, a deep, passionate kiss. The kind that you never want to end. He pulls away and takes something off of the table. It smells like chocolate. The next thing I know, there is something warm dripping onto my breasts, down to my stomach, then further down. He takes a little of the chocolate and drips it on my lips and before I can taste it, he's licking it off of them. I try to kiss him but he's off to the next step. The next sensation is coldness, but not too cold, in the same places that the chocolate went. It smells like Cool Whip. "Vin, what in the hell are you doing? Am I some kind of dessert or something?" "Something like that," he says with a chuckle. "Just lay back and enjoy the sensations." He leans down and kisses me deeply as he drops a small spoonful of ice cream on my stomach. I scream but his kiss smothers it. I try to wipe the ice cream away, but he grabs my arms and won't budge. He ends the kiss and while still holding my arms, starts to lick the chocolate and Cool Whip off of me. Inch by inch he licks me clean, but not touching the ice cream. "Are you finished?" I ask. "Not yet, one more thing." And with that, he leans down and quickly eats the ice cream, then licks my cunt with a cold tongue. He opens my legs and licks my clit, bringing me up off the bed. His tongue is so cold that it's almost painful. But at the same time, it's exciting. I guess it's the pleasure/pain combination that keeps me from telling him to stop. After a few licks, his tongue warms up, and it doesn't take long for me to cum. I don't know if I should be furious at him for doing this or glad because the torture is over. He takes the blindfold off and scoops me up, carrying me into the bathroom. He quickly starts the shower and pulls me into it with him. "Lets get you cleaned up." He takes the washcloth and lathers it up, running it all over my body, leaving no place untouched. I feel like putty in his hands and lean against the back of the shower for support. He pulls me under the spray of the water to rinse me off. Slowly I reach up and kiss him, whispering into his ear, "Now it's my turn." I start to kiss my way down his chest, stomach, then down to his hard cock. I slowly take him into my mouth, licking and sucking gently. Now it's his turn to lean back on the shower wall for support. Up and down his cock my tongue goes, teasing him, making him want more. I take all of him into my mouth, feeling him swell even more, making him go wild. He tells me to stop, but I keep going, stroking and licking until I feel him explode in my mouth. We get out of the shower and dry each other off, wanting each other more than before. We know that this is our last night together and we want to make it last. He leads me back to the bed where he gently lays me down, covering my body with his. Our hands are all over, desperate for each other's touch. In no time he's hard again. This time, our loving is slow and hot, taking our time, savoring each moment. Slowly and gently he slid into me. My body convulsed with the familiar way it felt. He began to fuck me slowly, the passion building until we both couldn't take it any longer and then he would stop and we would lay motionless for a minute before beginning again. Slowly we built ourselves into sexual ecstasy, loving the way our bodies felt together. Soon we were all over the place, our slow lovemaking built into a frenzy. I was on top and riding him. Our sweat mingled together, as I slid up and down his cock, excitement building until both our bodies were tense. Soon I felt his cock throbbing and I knew he was cumming. I felt his whole body shake and it was enough to send me over the edge. I collapsed onto his chest, lying there still joined with his body, listening to our breathing and the sounds of the night. I slid off to his side and he pulled the covers over us. "Happy birthday, Gwen," he says as he kisses me tenderly. "This is more than any women would ever expect. Thank you for making my birthday something I'll never forget." And with that, we drifted off to sleep. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 03 I awoke the next morning to the sound of running water, so I went into the bathroom to join Vin in the shower. The time on the clock showed 8:00. He was startled when I opened the shower door and stepped in. "What are you doing up?" he asks. "The shower woke me up, so I thought I'd join you." "I was going to finish my shower, then head down to your room to get your things and bring them back up here so you'd have them when you got up. But, since you're here in the shower with me, care to wash my back?" "Is that all I get to wash?" He pulls me into his arms. "You can wash anything you like." And with that, I take the washcloth from him and start washing him, from head to toe, neglecting nothing. Each time I run the washcloth around his hardening cock, he sucks in a deep breath. "Keep that up and your going to get fucked again." "That's what I'm counting on." Suddenly he grabs me and pins me against the wall, kissing all over my body. Once he gets down to my pussy, I prop one leg up on the shower seat to give him better access. Slowly he licks the lips, then nibbles on my clit. His tongue darts in and out of my cunt, fucking it that way, while his fingers are creating magic with my clit. It doesn't take long and I'm ready to cum, but he doesn't let me. He quickly pulls me away from the wall so he can sit in the shower seat, then pulls me down to where I'm straddling him. Slowly he eases me down onto his cock, inch by inch. The shower has a towel rack built into the wall, so I grab onto that and use it for leverage. Starting off slowly, I ride him, speeding up every now and then, but always slowing back down. After a few minutes, he spins me around facing away from him and bends me over, fucking me from behind. It's too much for me, and I tell him that I'm going to cum. After a few more thrusts, he cums too. We wash off in the shower and head into the bedroom to get dressed for breakfast. "Vin, I don't have any other clothes up here." I grab a robe off of the door and put it on. "I know. You distracted me earlier. Let me run downstairs and get your things, then you can get dressed up here." "Sounds like a plan." And with that, he quickly gets dressed and heads out the door, leaving me alone to wander around his domain. I head out to the balcony to enjoy the morning sounds and smells of New Orleans. That's where he finds me when he returns with my things. "I grabbed everything I could find. I searched the closet, drawers, everywhere. I only found one bag. Is that all you had?" He hands me my bag. "Yes, I like to travel light. Give me 15 minutes and I'll be ready." He heads over to the phone, where I assume that he's calling the guys to find out what their plans are. Then he comes into the bathroom to watch me get dressed. It's a little unnerving when you're not used to that kind of attention. But I wasn't about to kick him out, either. So I just acted like he wasn't there and went through my normal routine of getting ready to start the day. A few minutes later there is a knock on the door. He goes to answer it and all of a sudden carts of food surround us. He had called Room Service and ordered breakfast. "I wasn't sure what you wanted to eat, so I ordered just about everything. Care to join me for breakfast?" "There you go again, Vin. It's all too much. But since you went through all of the trouble of doing this, I'd love to join you for breakfast," and went to sit at the table next to him. For the next hour, we ate, talked, and laughed. Neither one of us wanted to admit that the time was slipping by too quickly, and that our time together was coming to an end. It was about 10:30 when we finally finished up with breakfast, and decided to spend the rest of the morning together. We were going to meet everyone downstairs at 11:30 so we could head to the airport to catch our flight home. We went into the living area and turned on the TV, trying to find something to watch. We finally settled on the Sci-Fi channel, watching an episode of "Farscape". I was sitting on the couch with Vin sitting on the floor in front of me, resting his head back on my lap. Before we realize it, the show is over and it's time to head downstairs to meet the other. Once everyone gets there, all eight of us pile into a van that takes us to the airport. The guys decided to come along with us instead of saying goodbye at the hotel. They walk us down to our terminal, and everyone starts hugging everyone, saying their goodbyes. Vin grabs my hand and pulls me away from the group, then hands me a small box. "Go ahead and open it." My hands are shaking as I slowly open it up. It is a ring in the shape of a V. I look up at him with tears in my eyes. "It's beautiful. But why?" "It's your birthday present. Just something to remember me and our weekend together." He slides the ring on my index finger. "So now, when you get home and think that it was all a dream, you can look at this and know that it was real." He slowly leans down and gives me the hottest kiss imaginable. Over the intercom, I hear them announcing that our flight is boarding, and we say one final goodbye. I turn to catch one last glimpse of him, and then he's gone, out of my life forever. The flight home was pretty quiet for each of us. We were all too busy reliving the weekend we each had just enjoyed. Once home, I unpacked and was putting a clothes into the washer when something white fell out of my bag. It was a muscle shirt that Vin was wearing earlier that morning. Lifting it to my nose, it smelled completely of Vin. I wasn't ready to let go of that yet, so I laid it on my pillow and decided that I'd sleep in it that night. The next day was Monday, so off to work I went. About 2:30 that afternoon, I received a call from the receptionist saying that there was delivery waiting for me at the front desk. I wasn't expecting anything, so I wasn't sure what would be waiting for me. When I arrived, there, sitting on the counter, was a dozen of red roses. I quickly scooped them up and headed back to my office so that I could read the card. It said, "Thanks for the wonderful weekend. I hope you never forget this birthday. I'll be in town next weekend for a meeting if you want to get together. Always, Vin". He left a phone number on the back of the card so I could contact him if I wanted to. I called Jenn to tell her about the flowers, and asked how he knew where I worked. She said that before we boarded the plane, he asked her and she told him. I read the card to her and she asked if I was going to see him again, and at that point I knew I had a major decision to make. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 04 Once I made my decision, I couldn’t wait to get home to call. The rest of the day went by at a snail’s pace. As soon as I walked in the door, I grabbed the phone and dialed his number. His phone rang 4 times, then his sexy voice came on. "You know what to do." Damn, it was his voice mail. "Hey, it’s Gwen. Sorry I missed you. I just wanted to say thanks for the roses and for making my birthday something I’ll never forget. Give me a call if you want." And with that, I left my number. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday went by with no word from Vin. Just when I had finally convinced myself it was for the best, the phone rings Thursday night. "Hello." "Gwen?" I’d know that sexy voice anywhere. "Hi." "Sorry I’m just getting back to you. Things have been crazy since I got back. By the time I heard your message Monday night, I figured it was too late to call with the time-zone difference being 2 hours between us. I haven’t had time to breathe, much less give you a call." "It’s ok. So what’s up on your side of the world?" "Nothing but work. The meeting that was scheduled for this weekend has been changed to next week. I’m flying in Wednesday evening and the meeting is Thursday morning. After that, my schedule is clear. Can you take next Friday off?" "Why?" I asked hesitantly. "I want to take you somewhere, just the two of us." "I don’t see that there will be a problem with me getting off." Oops, Freudian slip of the tongue. "I know for a fact that there’s no problem with you getting off." Vin remarks with a sexy laugh. "Oh man, you are bad." The rest of the conversation jumped from subject to subject, catching up on what has happened in the last few days. Before we hang up, he gives me his flight information and adds, "I’ll call you when the meeting is finished Thursday." "OK, I’ll talk to you later." "Later." The weekend came and went, as did the following week. I told Jenn about him calling and what he had planned, or at least as much as I knew, which wasn’t much. "I’ve got a suggestion," Jenn says during our conversation. "What?" "Since you’ve got his flight information, why not surprise him at the airport? I’m sure he wouldn’t mind seeing you a day early." "I don’t think that would be a good idea." "Then why did he give you ALL of his flight info? He could have said that he flew in at 8:00 and not given you anything else, but he didn’t. He gave you everything. Trust me, he wants to see you. Why not surprise him?" "I don’t know," I replied hesitantly. "What if he gets pissed that I showed up, or worse, what if he’s got someone else with him? How would it look?" "Who the hell cares how it would look? Just go. I promise it won’t be a mistake." "I’ll think about it." Wednesday finally rolled around and I was nervous as hell about going to surprise him at the airport. I got there around 7:30, just in case his flight was early. I checked the boards and his flight was on schedule. I sat down in the chairs to wait, picking up a magazine to read to pass the time. A lady came and sat next to me and we started talking. She was there to pick up her husband from a business trip and asked me who I was meeting. "A friend who is flying in for the weekend." She noticed that I was not wearing any rings that signified me as "attached", but commented on the ring that Vin had given me. Running my finger over it, I replied, "It was a birthday present from my friend." "This friend, I’m assuming it’s a male?" "Yes. How did you guess?" "You have a smile plastered on your face." "We haven’t seen each other for two weeks and I’m looking forward to seeing him again." That, plus getting my hands all over that gorgeous body of his. And with that, they announced that the flight had just arrived and was taxiing up to the terminal. The lady got up and went to wait closer to the door while I stood back and waited. Everyone started to exit the plane, and then I saw him. He was with Mike, one of the guys from the trip. They were talking and laughing about something, and when people started to recognize who he was, they flocked around him. I stood there, unable to move. People were everywhere. Some were snapping pictures while others were trying to get his autograph. Mike was trying to clear a path so they could get out of there, but he wasn’t making much progress. Then, all of a sudden, he looks up from signing something, and quickly scans the waiting area, as if looking for someone. Oh great, he must have someone else here in town besides me and he’s looking for them. But when his gaze lands on me, a grin breaks out on his gorgeous face. He finishes what he’s signing and announced that he had to go. He made his way through the crowd over to where I was standing, grinning the whole way. "What are you doing here?" he quietly asked, reaching out to gather my hands in his. "I wanted to surprise you. Are you mad?" "Mad? Hell no! Quite the opposite." He leans down, meeting my lips with his for a quick kiss. Reaching up to run my hand across his cheek down to his chin, I ask, "Where’s your goatee?" "Got rid of it." Noticing what I was wearing, Vin smirks, "Damn, woman. Did you pour yourself into those jeans? Can you even breathe?" "No I didn’t pour myself into them, and yes I can breathe. What’s wrong with my jeans?" "Nothing is wrong with them as far as I’m concerned. They look damn good on you." Bending closer to my ear he adds, "but they’d look even better off of you and thrown on the floor." I started laughing. "I really don’t feel like giving everyone a free show. You standing here with me is enough of a show for these people." Mike came up helped get us out of the airport before things got too crazy. While we were walking out of the terminal, Vin gave me the name of the hotel where he and Mike were staying, and asked if I wanted to stay there with him. "I have a better idea. My apartment isn’t too far from where you’re meeting is, so why don’t you stay with me and Mike can pick you up before the meeting." "Sounds like a plan. Ok with you, Mike?" Vin answers. "No problem. I’ll get the rental and pick you up in the morning. Gwen, give me your address." I gave him the address and directions from the hotel to my apartment, and then to the place where their meeting was to be held. Then we headed to the parking lot. "Where’s your car?" "Right in front of you." "Gwen, that’s a truck. I’m serious, where’s your car?" "That’s it," I say, pointing to my truck. The expression on Vin’s face was priceless. "This I would not have believed. You drive a truck." He takes a few steps back and whistles. "A Ford F150 CrewCab with 4-wheel drive." He shakes his head in amazement. "What’s wrong with that?" I ask. "Nothing, but I had you pegged as the sports-car type." "Nope, I’m just a country girl who lives in the big city and drives a truck.” "You’re just full of surprises, aren’t you?" He leans over and gives me a kiss, taking the keys out of my hands. "What do you think you’re doing?" "Driving," he says with a smug grin. He unlocks the doors, throws his bag in the back seat, and being the gentleman he is, opens up my door and helps me in. He walks around the truck to the driver’s side, opens up his door and climbs in. We leave the airport behind and head towards my apartment, all the while talking about the events of the past few days, and what he has planned for the weekend. "Are you off Friday?" he asks. "Yep. Now, will you please tell me where we’re going?" "No, it’s a surprise." "If you don’t tell me where we’re going, I won’t know what kind of clothes to pack." "Nothing fancy. That’s all you’re going to get from me on the subject." "Ok, fine." After sitting there for a few minutes, I ask, "Are you hungry? Do you want to stop and get something to eat before we go home?" Ok, that sounded strange. "Come to think of it, I am a little hungry. What do you suggest?" "We’ve got anything and everything. Just name it and I’ll tell you how to get there." He finally decided on Mexican, or rather, Tex-Mex, so we head to my favorite restaurant. Luckily one of my friends was working that night, so she was able to slip us in pretty easily. If anyone noticed who Vin was, they didn’t give any indication. The food was great and the company even better. Mike called during dinner to say that he’d be by to pick Vin up around 8:00. Vin paid the check and we left the restaurant around 10:00 and finally arrived at my complex. I gave him the code to the automatic gate and we drove through. Once inside, we drove around to my building and I showed him where to park. He grabbed his bag out of the back seat and we headed to my apartment. "Which key?" Vin asks, holding up my key chain. "It’s the one next to the truck key. I keep it there because it’s easier to find than to search through the whole set looking for it." He unlocks and opens up the door to my apartment. I step in and turn on the light to the living room, then enter the alarm code. "Where do you want me to put my bag?" Vin asks, following me into the apartment. Pointing to the couch, I remark, "Drop it over there. I’ll take it to the bedroom in a little …." Before I could finish the sentence, Vin spins me around, covers my mouth with his and gives me a bone-melting kiss. "I’ve wanted to do that since I got off the plane and saw you," he growls. "Same here," was all I could respond with before he attacked my mouth again. After a few minutes, we finally come up for air. "Would you like something to drink?" I ask. "Sure. What do you have?" "Water, Coke, DP, beer, wine coolers.” “Water would be fine.” “I’ll be right back. Make yourself comfortable," and I head into the kitchen, leaving Vin in the living room. A minute later I return to find him wandering around the room, looking at pictures that are set out in different places. I walk over to him and hand him the drink. "Who are all of these people?" he asks of one set of pictures on a small table. "That’s my family." "Who’s kids?" "My sister’s." "What about these over here?" he asks, moving to another set of photos. "Oh, I recognize some of these people. They’re your friends from the trip. Who are the others?" "Friends from work." He points out a particular picture. "Where was this picture taken?" "At a company golf tournament that me and Jenn played in." "You play golf?" Vin asked. "Yeah, so what of it?" Laughing, he replied, "I never would have guessed." He walked over to the curio cabinet in the corner. “You collect dragons?” “Yeah, dragons, wizards and castles. I’ve been collecting them for several years now.” “Nice collection.” Vin takes my hand, leads me to the couch, and sits down, pulling me onto his lap so that I am straddling his legs and facing him. I lean down to kiss him, my fingers slowly unbuttoning his shirt. I place my hands on his chest, feeling his muscles quiver under my touch. I continue down over his abs, until I get to his jeans. He’s wearing button-fly Levi’s, so I unfasten a few of the buttons, only to find that he’s not wearing any underwear. He reaches for the hem of my shirt, pulling it up over my head, only to encounter my white lace bra. He reaches up and unsnaps it, slowly sliding it down my arms. His hands went to my breasts, cupping them together, caressing them. He licked his lips before dropping his head to swirl his tongue over my nipples. I gasp from the attention of his tongue - warm and velvety against my sensitive flesh. We break apart only long enough to divest ourselves of our remaining articles of clothing. I take Vin’s hand and lead him down the hall to my bedroom. Once there, he folds me into his embrace, kissing me senseless. He trips and falls backwards on the bed, and pulling me down with him, we end up in a tangled mess of arms and legs, and start laughing. Turning serious, Vin pins me underneath him, slowing sliding into me. For a minute, all we do is kiss and enjoy the feeling of being together. It’s been almost two weeks since we’ve been together and yet it still feels like the first time. He starts to move slowly in and out of me. I run my hands up and down Vin’s back, pausing only long enough to grip his ass and try to pull him deeper inside of me. My nipples rubbing against his chest, and my hot, tight pussy pulsing around his throbbing cock, was enough to send him over the edge, with me tumbling right behind. As he was lying on top of me, his spent cock still the prisoner of my body, he kissed me deeply, looked into my blue eyes and whispered, "I missed you." "No, you didn’t miss me. You missed this," referring to our current activity. "I’ve missed both.” "Well, it’s definitely been a long two weeks." "I agree," he adds. I get up from the bed and head into the living room. "Where are you going?" he asks. "To get your bag and lock up." "I’ll get my bag while you lock up," he adds, following me out of the bedroom. There is nothing sexier than watching a finely sculpted male body walking butt-naked through my apartment. I had to control myself and not attack him again. I walked over to the door and double-checked that it was locked, and then set the alarm. He had already ventured back into the bedroom, and was waiting for me there. "Ready for round two?" he asked. I started to laugh. "As much as I’d love to, I’ve got to get some sleep. We’ve got all weekend together, so don’t worry that you won’t get enough. You’ll get plenty." "That’s what I like to hear." He grabs my hand and pulls me down onto the bed with him. I curl up next to him and fall asleep in no time. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 05 My alarm went of at its usual time of 6am, and it was hard as hell to leave Vin in bed and start to get ready for the day. It was also a little unnerving to go about my usual morning routine with Vin watching every move I made. On the flip side, it was thrilling knowing that we were leaving that evening for our trip that he still hadn’t told me anything else about. I don’t care where we go, just as long as we are together. I left the house around 7am, leaving Vin there to wait for Mike to pick him up for their meeting. He walked me to the door, giving me one of his bone-melting kisses before I left. "Any chance for a quickie before you leave?" he asks with a grin. That offer was very tempting. "Sorry, but I’ve got to go. As it is, traffic is going to be hell and if I leave any later, I won’t get to the office until almost 9:00. I want to get there, get all of my stuff finished, then hopefully slip out early. I still need to pack." "If it’s ok with you, I’ll have Mike drop me off here after the meeting. If things go well, it shouldn’t last more than a few hours. He can take the rental back and drop it off when he catches his flight later." "And how are you going to get to the airport?" I ask, searching through the junk drawer searching for an extra key. "You’ll see," he adds. "You’re still not going to tell me anything about our trip, are you?" "Nope. You’ll find out when the time comes." "Ok, Mr. Secretive. Here’s a spare key. Don’t forget to set the alarm before you leave. I’ll see you later." I gave him a quick kiss and closed the door behind me. Surprisingly, the day flew by. I had several projects that had to get finished that day since I was taking Friday off. Thankfully that kept my mind occupied with something other than Vin. Not that thinking about Vin was a bad thing, it just interferes with work sometimes. Finally around 2:00 I had printed out the last report that was due and turned it over to my boss, Sue. In addition to being my boss, she was also one of my good friends. "What are you grinning about?" she asked, taking the report from me. "Just excited about this weekend." "What’s going on this weekend?" she asks. "To tell you the truth, I have no idea. The only thing I know is that we’re going somewhere. He’s being really closed-mouth about the whole thing." "Is this the guy that you met in New Orleans? The one that sent you the roses?" "Yes, the very same one," I added. "I’m finished with everything so I’m going to head out." "Have a good weekend," she says, waving as I walk out of her office. I drove back to the apartment trying to figure out what Vin had planned. We could be going just about anywhere, but he said that it was going to be just the two of us and not pack anything fancy. Stumped for the moment, I pulled into the complex and parked. I wondered if Vin was back or still in his meeting. I had my answer when I unlocked and opened the door and Vin was walking out of the bedroom into the living room. "Hey. How’d the meeting go?" I asked, putting my purse and keys on the table by the door. "Pretty good. We got a lot accomplished," he said, walking towards me. He leans down and gives me a quick kiss, then tells me to hurry and pack. "We need to leave as soon as possible." "Why the rush?" "You’ll see." I head into the bedroom to change out of my work clothes to find that Vin had made the bed and straightened things up. It looked like a tornado had ripped through it earlier when I left for work. I grabbed a pair of jeans and t-shirt and changed. "Thanks for straightening up. I was going to do it when I got back home." "No problem. I got back after lunch and figured that if I did this, you wouldn’t have to and we could leave sooner." "That’s sweet. Now, what do I need to pack?" I was going to try to figure out his secret. "I’ll give you a hint. Think outdoors." "Oh, like that tells me anything," I joked. "Shorts, jeans, bathing suit. Does that help?" "Immensely. Care to give any other info?" Grinning he replies "Nope." "You’re loving this, aren’t you?" "Yep." I grab my bag and start to pack the things he suggested. In less than 5 minutes I’m packed and ready to go. "Ok, now what?" I ask. He leads me to the door. "We drive to the airport. Or rather, I drive to the airport," he adds, grabbing the keys off of the table. We head to the airport, passing the main terminal and continuing on to the gates where private planes and jets are kept. Vin pulls into one of the hangars and before we can get our things out of the truck, a young man approaches us. "The plane has been fueled and the flight plan has been filed. We’re all ready to go." "Thanks Brad." Vin says. I’m just standing there, looking from Vin to Brad, then back at Vin. Before I can open my mouth to ask, Vin says, "Don’t even ask because I’m not telling you a thing." He grabs my hand, practically pulling me to the plane. We climb the steps to the small plane and enter the cabin. I’ve seen pictures of the interiors of a few private jets before, but this one is much different from the luxurious photos. "Homey" is the term that comes to mind. Everything in the cabin has a function. Desk, couch, tables, kitchenette, all of it has a purpose. I turn to look at Vin. "Who’s jet is this?" "It belongs to a friend of mine. He’s letting me borrow it for the weekend. Brad is his pilot, so where the jet goes, Brad goes." "If you had this at your disposal, why did you fly into town on a commercial flight?" "Brad had a prior obligation and couldn’t fly us down. He just flew in today to pick us up." "To take us where?" I couldn’t resist asking. "Just sit down and be quiet. You’ll find out soon enough." Brad starts the engines and does whatever the pilot does with all the gadgets in the cockpit. He turns around and tells us that we’ll be off the ground in a few minutes. "Do you want something to drink?" Vin asks. "A bottle of water would be fine." Vin grabs a bottle out of the small refrigerator and hands it to me. "Here you go." "Thanks," I reply, twisting the top off of it and taking a drink. He sits on the couch beside me, resting his head against the back of the couch and closing his eyes. "Ahhhhh, quiet at last." Brad taxis the plane onto the runway and is given the green light for us to take off. In no time at all, we are off the ground and circling the airport, heading away from the city to who knows where. "Sit back and relax. Just a little while longer and all of your questions will be answered,” he says. I settle back on the couch with Vin and let my mind play through several scenarios of what he might have planned. Oh if he could only read my thoughts! I must have dozed off because the next thing I know, Brad announces that we’re almost there. It’s still daylight and when I look out the windows, the only things that I can see are trees and mountains. We make our descent and finally touch down on a private airstrip. Brad brings the plane to a stop near what appears to be a makeshift hangar. Vin opens up the door, grabs our bags and walks down the steps, with me following. He walks over to a white Jeep and throws our stuff in the back. Brad follows and puts his stuff in a blue jeep. "See you guys around 3:30 Sunday," this coming from Brad. "Where’s he going?" I ask Vin. "He’s headed into town for the weekend." "What town?" I ask. "You’ll find out soon enough." We get into the jeep and head away from the airstrip, with Vin grinning like a school boy. "What’s that grin for?" I ask. "I’m just thinking about what you said yesterday about you being a country girl living in the big city. I was hoping that you weren’t one of those females who think that being in your backyard is the same as being outdoors. I’m talking about the real outdoors. Hiking, fishing, stuff like that. Then when I saw your truck, I knew that this surprise was going to work." "And if I wasn’t into the nature thing, then what?" "We’d just stay in bed all weekend," he said, laughing. "That’s not a bad idea." I added. After a few minutes of driving down a dirt road, we come to a clearing, and in front of us is a beautiful lake. If I could pick a "happy place" to go in my mind when things get me down, this is where it would be. I love the country, where the only sounds you can hear is nature at its best. "Cowboy Take Me Away" by the Dixie Chicks is the perfect song for this place, although it’s hard to picture Vin in that persona. But here we are, in our own little paradise. The sun was starting to go down and it was starting to cool off. Vin heads the jeep around the lake and a little further into the woods, right up to a log cabin. I look at him and he just grins. "Am I allowed to ask questions now?" "Now that you’re here, ask away." "First of all, where in the hell are we?" "About an hour from Denver." "Denver, as in Colorado?" I stupidly ask. "Yeah, you know, the same Denver that has mountains and snow." "Ok, Mr. Smart-Ass, question number two. Whose place is this?" "Mine," he replied, smugly. "Well, I’ve got to say that I didn’t see that coming." "Why, because I grew up in the city? That’s precisely why I own it. I wanted a place away from everything and everyone. Some place I can come and not be bothered, an escape from the real world." We get out of the jeep, grab our bags and walk up to the front porch that wraps around the entire cabin. While he is unlocking the door, I look around and notice a pier on this side of the lake with a boat tied up to it. He grabs my hand and pulls me inside, turns on the lights, and what greets me is a cozy little home. A fireplace on one side of the room with a couple of couches on each side of it, an entertainment center with a tv and stereo, a small kitchen and dining area, and a staircase leading upstairs to the loft/bedroom. It’s a great little weekend getaway place. He goes around the house and opens up the windows to let the cool breeze in, turning on the stereo as he passes by. "Make yourself at home. There’s a bathroom under the stairs and the bedroom with another bathroom is upstairs," he comments. "The kitchen should be fully stocked, so help yourself to whatever you can find. I had a friend come out and clean the place up and stock the pantry and refrigerator, so I have no idea what we have to eat." "I’m not really hungry right now, maybe later." I grab my bag and head up the stairs with Vin following. While unpacking, I notice the devilish grin on Vin’s face. He tries to pull me down onto the bed with him. "Know what I want to do right now?" I ask. "I know what I’d like to do right now," he replies, trying to unbutton my jeans. "We’ll get to that later.” I reply, brushing his hands away. “I want to go sit on the porch and enjoy the evening." "Sit on the porch instead of coming to bed with me?" "Yep. Hard to believe, isn’t it?” Reluctantly, he lifts himself off of the bed and follows me down the stairs and outside. We sit on the steps to the porch and watch as everything settles in for the night. Squirrels run to their trees, birds fly to their nests. Off in the distance we hear an owl. Vin is sitting on the top step while I'm on the step below, sitting in between his legs. I lean back against him and close my eyes, enjoying the sounds of the evening, only to open them and find him watching me. I don't know what it is, but he has this knack of looking at me just the right way, and when he does, it makes me so hot. He starts to rub my shoulders and I lean forward to make it easier. He rubs the center then out to my arms, then down my back. I'm so relaxed. Vin leans over and runs his hands around to the front, and caresses my breasts through my shirt. I lean back against him again to give him better access. He rubs and lightly squeezes them while kissing my neck. One hand stays there while he moves the other to rub in between my legs. Damn, that feels good. The combination of all three sensations is almost too much to handle. I turn around so that I’m on my knees in front of him, and lean in to kiss him. It’s not a hurried kiss. It’s a long, passion-filled kiss that goes on for what seems like forever. He breaks the kiss long enough to reach down and grab the bottom of my shirt and pull it up over my head, and then he pulls me back against him for another kiss. His hands are wandering over my back and down to my ass, pulling me against him. Breaking the kiss, I reach for the bottom of his shirt, kissing his stomach and chest as I raise the shirt up and take it off of him, settling my lips again on his. He unhooks my bra, sliding it off my shoulders and down my arms. He cradles my face in his hands as he feasts on my lips. I could kiss this man forever. Deciding that the swing would be more comfortable, we get up and move, discarding the rest of our clothes when we get there. As Vin sits on the swing, I kneel down in front of him and grin. I grasp his hardness in my hand, gently squeezing the shaft as I lower my lips and kiss the head. I trace my tongue around the tip, and then take the whole head into my mouth, sucking gently. I take more and more of him into my mouth until he touches the back of my throat. I slowly pull the length of him back out of my mouth to the head, swirl my tongue around and take it all back in again. He grabs the back of my head and holds it so he can fuck my mouth, using deep, long, slow strokes, then short, fast ones. “Gwen, I’m gonna cum,” he manages to say. Stopping him, I reply, “Not like this you’re not.” I get up and straddle him so that his cock is rubbing against me. I raise up on my knees a little and slowly slide onto his cock. “Ahhh, much better,” he says. I slowly start to ride him, using the back of the swing for leverage. Every now and then I speed up, but then I slow back down. Vin reaches between us and presses on my clit, which makes me ride him faster. After a few minutes, I’m ready to cum. “Not like this,” Vin remarks, mocking me. He stands me up and leans me forward on the porch railing, slowly sliding into me from behind. Vin holds my hips as he pumps his cock in and out of me, starting out slow, then speeding up. It doesn’t take very long and I explode, with him following right after. We move to the swing, with Vin pulling me down beside him. Music from the stereo drifts out onto the porch with us. We sit there for a little while, enjoying the night. “This is absolutely perfect,” I comment. “You and me, here, together, the clean mountain air, stars in the sky. I can’t think of anyplace I’d rather be.” He chuckles, “I can.” Turning to him I ask, “And where would you rather be right now?” “Upstairs in bed, making love to you,” he says, meeting my lips with his. He pulls me up from the swing and we go into the cabin, turning off lights as we go, then head upstairs to the bedroom. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 06 I wake up the following morning to total silence. Reaching across the bed, I’m startled to find that Vin is already up. I grab a t-shirt and shorts, putting them on before going downstairs. As I’m coming down the stairs, he walks in the front door. "Where have you been?" I sleepily ask. "I went out jogging. I was hoping to get back before you woke up, but I can see that I was a little late with that part." "That’s ok. Don’t let me interrupt your morning rituals." "I’m done," he replies. "What do you want to do today?" he asks, pulling me to him for a kiss. "Absolutely nothing. Well, not really nothing," I reply with a sly gin. "Sex is definitely on my list of things to do today." I added. "I love that about you. You always speak your mind." And with that, I walked out to the front porch. The morning was beautiful. Vin came up behind me, wrapped his arms around me, and kissed my neck. We walk over to the swing and Vin asks, "Ready for a repeat of last night?" "Not just yet. I just can’t get enough of this place. I know I’ve said it a dozen times before, but this has to be the most beautiful place that I’ve ever seen. I grew up in the country so I know what it’s like to have the silence all around, but the scenery just blows me away." We sit on the porch swing, enjoying the atmosphere and each other. As the sun rose higher in the sky, the day grew warmer, so I decided to go for a swim. Vin said that he’d join me in a little bit. I went upstairs and put on my swimsuit, then walked the short distance from the cabin out to the lake, and stood on the end of the pier, looking out over the lake. The next thing I know, I’m flying though the air, encircled by a large pair of arms, and land in the water. Vin had snuck up, grabbed me, and pulled me in with him. When I finally got over the shock of the cool water and finished spitting the water out of my mouth, I looked around and didn’t see Vin. He had let go and swam a little farther out. He surfaced just as I was getting worried. "Why in the hell did you do that?" I yelled. "You can’t swim if you’re not in the water." "I was going to get in, eventually. Damn, this water is cold." "Swim out here and I’ll warm you up," he seductively replied. We swam out to the diving platform anchored a little further out, climbed up on it, and sat there talking for a little while. About an hour later, we swam back in to grab a bite to eat. After we finish eating and clean up the kitchen, Vin grabs a set of keys out of a kitchen drawer and we make our way down to the pier where the boat is tied up. Vin starts the motor while I untie the lines. He takes me around the lake, showing me different places. I move to stand behind him while he’s driving the boat, and start to run my hands over his shoulders and back. I love being with him. There are times that I want him so bad that it make me ache inside. Like now. I run my hands over his shoulders and down his chest. He tells me to stop or there will be consequences to suffer. I move in front of him and straddle his lap while he is driving. I start kissing his neck when he says, "You’d better stop that or we'll wreck the boat." I reach over, put the boat in neutral, and turn off of the engine. We are just drifting now. I run my hands down his chest, watching his muscles react to my touch. Damn, he looks good. I reach behind me and untie my swimsuit top, letting it fall between us. He reaches up and gently squeezes my breasts, then leans down and licks one nipple and then the other. Then Vin looks up at me with that cocky little grin of his, and I’m lost. He pushes me off of his lap, back against the seats, where he pulls my bottoms off. The sun feels so good against my skin and the look Vin gives me makes me even hotter. He gets rid of his shorts in no time and comes to me. This time it's fast and wild, not slow and easy like it usually is. Vin slides into me so easily because I'm already wet, and it feels like heaven. He starts teasing me by pulling out and giving me just a little at a time, then giving it all to me. He reaches down and plays with my clit, and that only drives me wilder. I tell him that I'm almost there and then he stops, pulls me up off of the seat, turns me around, and fucks me from behind. When he reaches around and rolls my clit between his fingers, I loose it. I start to cum and the spasm Vin feels inside my cunt makes him cum too. "Damn, woman! Do you ever quit?" he asks, leaving a trail of kisses on my back. "Are you complaining?" I ask. "Hell no, I’m not complaining," he answers while searching for his shorts. "What are you doing?" "Getting dressed so we can go back in." "I have a better suggestion." "And what would that be?" "That we stay right here for a little while. I want to get some more sun." "If you lay out like you are now, that’s not the only thing you’ll end up getting," he sexily remarks. Laughing, I comment, "Oh, I think I can handle you." "Yeah, I do believe you can," he says. "We’ll stay here for a little while. I like the view," he laughs. I went to the front of the boat to lay out on the deck, while he kicked back in the captain’s chair. You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. A few white, fluffy clouds in the sky, but other than that, it was perfect. About an hour later, we hear thunder in the distance, but still no clouds in the sky. "Sounds like we might get some rain later. A storm’s building on the other side of those mountains. We’d better get back to the cabin just in case it’s moving this way." We got dressed and made it back to the cabin with time to spare before it started to rain. We were in the kitchen fixing dinner when we heard the first raindrops hit the tin roof on the porch. We ate dinner and enjoyed the sound of rain. As soon as we had finished putting up the dishes, the lights flickered on and off, then went out completely. The only light we had was from the lightening outside. Vin searched through the kitchen drawers and found some matches, and went around lighting candles. Talk about a romantic setting. I couldn’t have planned this any better. Vin is leaning against the doorframe looking out at the rain, the lightening silhouetting his body. I run my hands up his chest to his face, pulling him down for a deep kiss. He wraps his arms around me, running his hands down my back to my ass, picks me up and carries me over to the couch, kissing me deeply as we go. He slowly slides me down his body, enjoying the feeling of me rubbing against him. His lips caress my neck as his arms tighten around me. I close my eyes and sigh as Vin begins to slowly undress me. My breath catches as he runs his hands slowly over my body. He kisses my lips and slowly inches his way down. My nipples pucker at his slightest touch. His fingers move slowly in a circle around each one. He pushes me down so that I’m lying down on the couch. Just when I think it can't get any better, his tongue takes over where his hands left off. It glides over my skin until finally he sucks and nibbles on each nipple. Waves of pleasure rush through me as Vin alternates between breasts. He does this until my breathing comes in gasps, and when I feel his fingers moving over my clit, then in and out of me, I finally let go. Flashes of lightening illuminate the room. Sitting up, I pull Vin’s shirt over his head and throw it to the side, then unbutton his jeans and help him out of his clothes. The expression on his face shows nothing but desire as he kisses me deeply and roughly this time. I feel his hardness against me, and he sucks in his breath when I reach down to stroke him. "Now, your turn to lie down," I say, watching Vin stretch out on the couch. His body is bathed in candlelight, making him look like something from a fantasy. Starting with his lips and moving slowly downward, I leave a trail of kisses on his golden skin. Slowly at first, then increasing the speed and pressure, I stroke up and down the length of him. His fingers entangle in my hair as he nudges my head downward letting me know he doesn’t want to wait any longer. With my hand still wrapped around him, I lightly circle the tip with my tongue. In response, Vin lifts his hips, trying to push himself into my mouth. Deciding not to give him what he wanted just yet, I slowly lick down and back up his shaft and circle his head once more before quickly sucking his entire length into my mouth. His breathing is erratic now. "Damn, Gwen. You’re going to make me cum if you keep doing that." And with that, I stop. I don’t want him to cum yet. Slowly I crawl up his body, rubbing my breasts against his stomach and chest as I go. Lifting up slightly and guiding him into me, the walls of my cunt close around him, enveloping his cock in warm wetness. I welcome every sensation as I rock back and forth on top of him, bringing him deeper and deeper. His cock is throbbing, and as my orgasm builds again, I close my eyes and enjoy the feelings that our lovemaking is creating. We climax together, and the sensations are incredible. At last we slowly come back down, and I collapse against his chest. Vin holds me tightly while we lie still and catch our breath. The storm outside has moved on, and the rain has let up. We blow out the candles and head upstairs to bed. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 07 The next morning I wake up to find Vin still in bed, lying there watching me. "Why are you staring at me?" I ask. "I was debating on the best way to wake you up," he said, grinning. "Sorry, but I’m awake now. Hey, why are you still here and not out jogging? Not that I’m complaining or anything." I add, leaning over and kissing his chest. "I decided to exchange my morning jog for a hike into the mountains later. Care to join me?" "Hmmm. Let me think. Hike with you or stay here alone. Hike with you or stay here," I repeat again. Damn, that’s a tough one," I teased. "Smart ass," he says. "What time is it?" I ask. Vin leans back and looks at the clock on the table. "It’s flashing 12:00. I guess the electricity came back on sometime during the night." He grabs his watch. "It’s 7:35. I want to get out of here by 8:00, so you’d better get up and get dressed if you’re coming with me," he added while getting out of bed. "I won’t be long," I reply, crawling out behind him and head to the bathroom to get ready, then went back into the bedroom to get dressed. Vin had dressed while I was in the bathroom, then went downstairs to start getting things together for our hike. I met him in the kitchen and we gathered up food to take with us for lunch because we would be out all day. Before heading out to the jeep, Vin grabbed a rifle out of the closet and searched the drawers for ammo, dropping some in his pocket. "Just in case we come across something big and menacing." Vin adds. "Well, you’d better give it to me then. You are definitely big and menacing." I cracked. "Smart ass." "Yep, that just about sums it up." We drove along the dirt roads, winding our way through the forest, finally coming to a clearing. The scenery was breathtaking. Miles and miles of nothing but mountains and forest. Modern technology has not touched this place. Getting out of the jeep, I ask, "How much of this is yours?" "Everything that you can see is mine. I told the realtor that I wanted lots of land so I could get away from it all, and this is what I ended up with. It’s about ten thousand acres. I’ve had offers to sell, but I’m keeping it," he says, grabbing the pack and rifle from the jeep. "I can understand why. It’s absolutely beautiful." "You should see it during the winter when it’s covered in snow. Lots of good skiing." He turns to look at me and asks, "Do you ski?" I started to laugh. "Vin, I live in Texas." "So? Haven’t you ever taken a ski trip?" "I haven’t had a real vacation in the past four years, much less a ski trip. Anyway, I don’t really care for cold weather. If it hits 60, that’s cold enough for me. I’d much rather go somewhere with sun and sand where the temperature is around 90. But as much as I hate the cold, I’ve always wanted to go to Montana." He takes my hand and we start walking up a trail. The deeper into the woods we go, the more beautiful it is. We cross several steams on our hike, and at one of them I ask him to stop. "What’s wrong?" "Nothing. I just want to sit here and enjoy it all." Vin slides the rifle and pack off of his back, sits down on a log under a tree, and I sit in-between his legs, leaning back against him. He points out a couple of raccoons playing at the water’s edge a little ways down from where we are. "So, what do you think about the place?" Vin asks. "I love it. I don’t think I’ve seen anything quite like it. I grew up in the country, and I miss it. But when I say country, I mean about 20 acres with cows and horses. Nothing like this." "I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself." It just seems right to be here with him. Sometimes we don’t have to say anything. Just knowing that we are together is enough sometimes. I think back to what he said in New Orleans about us meeting. It’s like we knew we were supposed to be there, but not sure exactly why until we met. And then we knew. I know that nothing will ever come of this, but just knowing that I’m the center of his attention for the time being is more than anyone could have ever wished for. "Why so quiet?” "I was just thinking about this, about us." "What about it?" "Believe it or not, I’m ok with the fact that this is all we’ll ever have. A few stolen moments to create memories that will last a lifetime." "Gwen, if I didn’t have feelings for you, I wouldn’t have gone through all of this for you, for us. Bringing you up here, showing you a different side of me than what everyone thinks they know about me. I thought that New Orleans was going to be a one-time thing, but something happened there, and I want to see where it takes us.” He brings my hand to his lips, pressing a kiss to the back of it. "Let me get this straight. You’re saying that you want more out of this, of what we have? Vin, how are we going to accomplish that when we have totally different lives, not to mention that we live in different states?” “I don’t know how we’re going to do it. I just want you to know that this is not just another fling, or whatever you want to call it. This is real and I want to see if we can make something out of it.” “Well, I’ll have to check my calendar to see if I’ve got anyone else penciled in for the next few months.” He laughed. "You are one in a million, Gwen. Never change." He lowers his lips to mine, running his hands up and down my back, then breaks the kiss to pull a blanket out of the pack and spread it on the ground. I lay back on the blanket with him crawling up my body like a sleek cat on the prowl, the muscles in his arms straining against the sleeves of his t-shirt. He slowly lowers himself, lying on top of me, kissing me senseless. His hands roaming all over, lingering in some places longer than others, driving me wild. I broke our kiss and whispered in Vin's ear, "Make love to me Vin, please..." The look in Vin's eyes was the only answer I needed. After quickly undressing, we lay back down on the blanket. Vin gently nudged my legs apart with his knees. As he did so, I crossed my legs around his back and tried to pull him to me. He took both of my hands and placed them over my head, grasping both wrists with one hand, leaving the other free to wander over my body. The more I moved underneath him, the stronger his grasp on my wrists tightened. Our eyes still locked on each other, we watched each other's reaction as his cock lightly brushed against my opening. I tried pulling him closer with my legs, but he didn't move. Vin's resistance caused a groan of frustration to escape my lips, which made him smile even more. "Does the term cruel and unusual punishment mean anything to you?" I whispered to him, frustrated. "Yeah, but I don’t consider this cruel and unusual." He answered. "You should try being in my shoes then." Finally, Vin slowly entered me. A gasp escaped my parted lips, followed by a deep sound of pleasure from both of us as he filled me completely. Vin released my wrists, allowing my arms to find him as I ran my hands over his face, with him kissing my palm. Vin lowered his lips to mine in a passionate kiss, slow and deep, just like our lovemaking. We continued with our loving, matching each other's movements. When our pace quickened, I pulled my legs at him with each downward thrust to bring him deeper inside of me. I started to feel the familiar ache inside of me, but didn’t want to yield to it yet. Before I knew what was happening, he had flipped me over and I was on my knees and Vin was behind me once again. His movements were so fast, with his hands once again on my hips pulling me to him thrust after thrust, causing me to cum. With one final thrust, I could feel Vin's climax as he exploded inside of me. We lay there together until our breathing returned to normal. Vin started laughing when we were getting dressed. "What’s so funny?" "I wish you could see your hair right now." "Why? What’s wrong with it?" I ran a hand over the top only to find that most of it had come out of my ponytail during our last round of sex. "It’s all over the place. You look like a wild woman." "Well, at least I have hair," I commented, rubbing my hand over his bald head. He grabs my wrist and pulls me to him, kissing me tenderly. The man has a mouth that you could kiss for days. Finally breaking the kiss, he comments, "We’d better clean things up and get going. We’ve got more ground to cover before heading back in, unless you’re ready to head back now." “Nope, I’m in it for the long haul. Lead on.” We made our way back down to where we left the jeep. We unloaded our stuff and sat down to eat a quick lunch, then headed out the opposite direction that we had just come from. We hiked for another few hours. When we arrive back at the cabin, we decide on grilled chicken for dinner. Vin starts the grill while I get everything else ready. The dinner is wonderful, and when we are finished eating, we clean everything up and walk down to the pier to watch the sun set. Everything is so quiet and still. It's like the whole world stopped to watch. This is our last night together, and deep down I never want it to end. We sit on the pier talking, watching the stars come out, and pointing out the different constellations. "Beautiful," I comment about the sky. Vin is looking at me when he repeats, "Beautiful." I look over to see that he’s staring at me. He gently brushes a tendril of hair away from my face, then leans down and kisses me. This kiss is different from any others we have shared. It’s a kiss filled with passion and longing, filled with promises of what’s yet to come. He takes my hand and we walk back to the cabin. Not a word is spoken between us. We turn out all of the lights, and head upstairs to the bedroom. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 08 The bright sunshine streaming through the windows woke me from my slumber. A slow smile spread across my face as I realized that Vin was still asleep. Dark lashes framed his closed eyes and his lips were slightly parted. A little chill shot through my body as I gazed at his soft lips and recalled how wonderful they had felt on my body last night. A hint of dark stubble appeared over his tanned face and I had to resist the temptation of reaching out to run my hand over it for fear of waking him. My gaze shifted lower, over his muscular chest, which rose and fell softly with each breath he took, over his flat stomach, then further down. My body tingled with the memory of the night we shared. With restraint I didn’t realize I possessed, I slid out of bed and quietly made my way to the bathroom. Turning on the shower, I stepped under the hot spray, letting it wash all over my body. I quickly washed my hair, and then grabbed the washcloth and soaped it up. I closed my eyes and imagined that the cloth is Vin’s hand, moving slowly over my body. I turn to rinse off and he is standing there watching me, which scares the hell out of me because I didn't hear him come in. "Need any help?" he asks. "No, I’ve got everything under control. You can have the shower when I’m finished." "Wrong answer," he replies, stepping into the shower with me. He turns the water to cool, and I back away from the spray because it's too cold. He starts splashing me with the cool water and I throw the washcloth at him, hitting him in the neck. He takes the washcloth and lathers it up even more, and throws it back. Now it's a soap war in the shower. Whatever he throws on me comes right back to him. He pulls me under the cool water, making me shiver because I had just used the hot water. I try to get out, but he pins me against the wall and give me a kiss that warms me up. His hands are all over me, wanting more. He picks me up and carries me back to bed, where we make love several times before finally getting up and cleaning up the place before we leave. Around 3:00, Vin takes our bags out to the jeep while I’m standing on the pier looking out over the lake, remembering the wonderful times that we shared in our hidden paradise. This time I hear Vin come up behind me. "The jeep is packed and we’re all ready to go." "Ok." I said with a shaky voice. "What’s wrong?" he asks. "Nothing," I lied, quickly brushing away the tears before he could see them. "I’m just taking it all in before we have to leave. I’ll never see this place again and I want to remember everything just like it is." "Never say never," he says, pulling me into his arms. We stand there for a few minutes, each lost in our own thoughts. “We need to get going. Brad’s probably wondering where we’re at." Vin comments. We get into the jeep and head down to the hangar to find Brad doing his pre-flight inspection. Vin parks the jeep next to the one that Brad was using. Brad comments, "Almost ready to go. I’ve got a few things to take care of, then we’ll be in the air." "Take your time," Vin replies, grabbing our bags from the jeep. I head up the stairs into the cabin of the plane with Vin following. He sets our bags down next to the desk and pulls out a laptop computer that was stored in one of the drawers. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Checking my emails to see if Mike sent my schedule for the week. We need to finalize some things that came up in the meeting last week, and I was checking to see if he had anything lined up yet." After reading his emails, he looked up and grinned. "Care to have a visitor for another week?" "Why? What’s going on?" I ask as he pulls me down into his lap. "According to Mike’s email, he’s flying back in tonight because he has meetings set up for us all week." I scanned the email as he read it. Teasingly I reply, "Hmmm. Do I want a visitor for the week? Stay at home alone or have a visitor? Alone or hot sex all week?" I repeat. Looking into those gorgeous dark eyes I reply, "Alone." Vin busts out laughing. "You liar," he says, giving me a quick kiss. Brad enters the plane and heads to the cockpit to prepare for takeoff. Walking by he comments, "Man, can’t you guys get a room?" "That’s an excellent idea," Vin answers. He gets up out of the chair, walks over and opens a door that I thought went to a storage compartment. As it turns out, it’s a bedroom. "Shall we?" Vin asks. "Absolutely." We walk into a room not quite the size of the main cabin, but yet big enough for a queen size bed. We’re both trying to undress as quickly as possible, bumping into each other in the process. While Vin was trying to take his shoes off, he knocked me over and I fell on the bed. We both started laughing. Brad’s voice comes over the intercom, "We’ll be taking off in a few minutes." "Would you look at us? Acting like a couple of teenagers trying to grab a quickie before they get caught." I remark. "As far as I’m concerned, quickies aren’t all that bad. But we’ve got about 3 hours to kill, and I’m planning on putting that time to good use." We finish undressing and as he slowly crawls up my body, the plane lifts off of the ground, taking us back to the real world. This time our loving is slow and hot. He is so in tune with my body that he knows what I need even before I do. We definitely make good use of our time together. Sometime later, Brad announces, "We’re about 30 minutes from the airport. The weather is clear, so we should have a smooth landing." "I guess that’s our wake-up call." Vin says, getting up to get dressed, with me doing the same. We straightened the room up and went into the main cabin to finish out the flight. Brad was right about the weather, clear skies and a perfect landing. He taxied the plane to the private hangar where we had boarded it three days earlier, then shuts down the engines while Vin opens up the cabin door. We exit the plane, thanking Brad for the trip, and then throw our things in my truck. Vin gets behind the wheel, and remembering the way back, takes us home. He takes our bags to the bedroom while I grab the paper and check my answering machine, which shows one message. I hit the play button to listen. "First message - Sunday, 10:00 am - Hey Gwen, it’s Jenn. I still crack up when I say that. Listen, I hope I’m the first one to call you about this, but when you get home, check out the “Seen and Heard” section of today’s paper. Call me when you get in." I have a puzzled look on my face as Vin walks over and opens up the paper. There, splashed all over the front page of that section, is a picture of Vin leaning down to give me a kiss at the airport. The caption under the picture reads, "Vin Diesel’s Texas Gal". "OH MY GOD! I knew I shouldn’t have gone to the airport. I told Jenn that it was a mistake." Looking at Vin, "I am so sorry about this. I know that you like to keep your private life out of the media, and I’ve screwed that up." I’m almost in tears. Vin pulls me close. "Don’t worry about it. People snap pictures everywhere I go. You don’t think we weren’t noticed while we were in New Orleans weekend before last? I’m sure they did the same thing there, but you didn’t know about it because you don’t live there, which means that you have no reason to read their newspaper. Welcome to my world. I don’t necessarily like everything that goes with it, but it’s what I have to do." "Well, it’s over and done with. I’m sure everyone at work will be whispering behind my back, wondering how I managed to hook up with you." I sit down on the couch, my face buried in my hands. Shaking my head, I jokingly remark, "I still don’t know how it happened." He sits down beside me, pulling me back against him. "I do and I’m glad that nobody else knows you the way I do or else you would have already been taken when we met. Then that would have presented a whole new set of complications. But I would have figured out a way around them, figured out a way that we could be together. Even if that meant kidnapping you and torturing your sweet little body until you finally gave in to me," he laughed. “I’d better call Jenn back before she comes over here and beats the door down." I reach for the phone and dial her number while Vin goes into the kitchen for a drink. "Hello." "Hey Jenn, it’s me." "So … how mad at me are you for suggesting that you meet him?" "I was upset at first, but not at you. You only suggested it. I was the one who made the decision to go through with it.” "Is Vin upset?" "Surprisingly, he’s ok with it. He said that this is just one aspect of his life that I have to get used to." "So, how was the trip? Where did you guys go?" "Denver." "Denver, as in Colorado?" I started laughing. "You know, that’s exactly what I said." We talked for a few more minutes, until Vin grabbed my hand to lead me into the bedroom. "Jenn, I gotta go." "Why? What’s wrong?" "Nothing’s wrong. As a matter of fact, everything’s absolutely perfect." I remark, watching the gorgeous man standing in front of me pull his shirt off. "I’ll call you tomorrow." And with that, I hang the phone up and watch him undress. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 09 Monday morning, my boss, Sue, walks into my office with a copy of the paper in her hand. She sets it down on my desk. “So, this is the mystery man?” she asks, pointing to the paper. “Yes, that’s him,” I reply, smiling down at the picture of Vin kissing me. Settling in a chair, she comments “You know, I was a little worried about you going on a trip with someone you had known for only a few weeks, but after seeing this yesterday, I realized that I had worried for nothing. But I’ll let you in on a little secret. I’m jealous as hell of you right now. And I’m not the only one. I’ve heard comments as people pass my office.” “I knew things were going to be different after I saw the picture last night. I’m not going to say that I’m sorry, because I’m not. I never expected anything to come after the weekend in New Orleans. It surprised the hell out of me when he said he wanted to see me again. This trip has shown me a side of him that not very many people know about. I’m not going to throw that out the window just because some people can’t handle the fact that we might actually have feelings for each other.” “Don’t worry what other people say or think.” “I won’t. But I don’t want there to be problems here at the office.” Getting up from the chair, adding, “Don’t worry. Things will die down and get back to normal before you know it.” “I hope so.” Surprisingly, the day went by without much said about the picture in the paper. A few nasty looks and comments here and there, but hey, that’s to be expected. I called Jennifer and gave her the update. Driving home, I debated on whether or not I should tell Vin what had happened, and decided that he’d probably get a kick out of it. I opened the door to the apartment to find Vin sitting on the couch working on his laptop. I walked over and dropped a kiss on his bald head. “Hey. How was your meeting today?” He looked up and grinned. “Pretty good. How was your day?” “I wish you could have been a fly on the wall,” I replied, then sat down beside him and filled him in on what had happened, leaving out the conversation with my boss. He started laughing. “How did you handle it?” “I ignored them. The way I look at it, they are just jealous, petty women. If they aren’t happy, then they don’t want anybody else happy. And Heaven forbid if a lesser creature than themselves finds someone that make’s them happy.” Vin grabbed on to that. “Do I?” he asked. “Do you what?” “Make you happy?” He did nothing to mask the concern on his face. I hesitated, trying to find the right words without giving too much away. “Who wouldn’t be if they were in my shoes?” “You’re not answering my question, Gwen. Do I make you happy?” Leaning my head back against the couch, I took a deep breath. “More than you know. When we’re together, you make me feel like I’m the only person in the world. When we’re apart, I can’t wait to see you again. You took me to your home in Colorado and you’re staying with me this week. If that’s what you consider happy, then I guess that’s what I am.” “Now, see. That wasn’t so hard, was it?” he said, leaning over to give me a kiss. Time to change the subject. “What do you want for dinner?” I ask, getting up off of the couch. “I was thinking Italian. I was in the kitchen earlier and saw your stash of take-out menus. Do you ever cook?” “Not very often. I’m usually at work until 6 or so, and by the time I fight the traffic coming home, I’m too tired to cook. I usually just eat a salad for dinner, then spend the rest of the evening either working, reading, or writing. Since you’re going to be here all week, I’ll go to the store later and get some things so we can stay in and cook.” “Sounds like a plan.” We drove to one of my favorite Italian restaurants, where the wait was going to be about 30 minutes for a table. But when the hostess saw Vin, she ushered us right in. He pulled my chair out and waited until I was seated before taking his own seat. The look on her face was pure jealousy. Oh well, I’m used to it now. The waiter came and took our order, and dinner was served a short time after that. It was delicious. While we were eating, he commented, “You mentioned earlier that you write. I didn’t know that.” “Not many people do. It’s just something I do in my spare time, when I have it.” “What do you write?” “Fiction and romance.” “Can I take a look at some of it?” “Why? It’s just a hobby.” “Just humor me.” “Oh, alright. Now my turn. I know it’s probably none of my business, but what are these meetings about?” “My production company is looking into filming one of my movies in the area. We’ve been meeting with the location scouts, looking at different places that would work for different parts of the movie.” “You know, I hadn’t really thought about that part of your life, the writing and producing. Which do you like more?” “Each has it’s own rewards. For me to star in a movie, I have to believe in the story. If I do that, then the character that I play will be someone that everyone can relate to. If I don’t believe in it, I don’t do it. When I write and produce, I have control of everything. I write about things that I know. I have all of these ideas running around in my head and when I put them on paper, I know exactly how I want the scene shot, what I want the end result to be.” “That has to be a heady feeling, seeing your own ideas come to life.” “It is.” We finished dinner and then went to the grocery store. While Vin was driving, I made a list of things to get. Vin stayed in the truck while I went in and bought the groceries. When we got back home, we put up the groceries and I went into the bedroom to change, hoping that Vin would forget about reading my stories. Unfortunately, that didn’t work. “So?” he asks as I walk back into the living room. “So what?” “Where are your stories?” Walking over to my desk, I flip through the disk holder and find the one with the stories on it. Handing it to Vin, I say, “Just remember, this is a hobby.”” He takes the disk and pops it into his laptop, pulling up one of the stories. After a few minutes, he looks up at me. “Gwen, this is good. It’s a little rough in places, but you’ve got the basics down. How long have you been doing this?” “Off and on for a couple of years. Like I said, it’s a hobby and I do it when I have time.” “Do you realize that with a little training, you could become a very good writer?” “Don’t even go there.” “Gwen, just hear me out. Let me help you.” “Why?“ “Because you’ve got a natural talent for this. What would it hurt? Choose one story, I’ll help you with it, and we’ll see what happens after that. “Nothing will happen after that because I’m not going to pursue this.” “We’ll see. Just come over here and sit down. I want to show you some things.” He went through the first part of the story, making minor changes here and there. The story flowed better after that. “See, all you need is a little training and this could be on the best sellers list. I just happen to know a writer that would love to get his hands on you, I mean, help you with your work.” He says, grinning. “Well, since you put it that way. Maybe.” “Gwen, you won’t be sorry.” This became the norm for the evenings. We would eat dinner, then curl up on the couch with his laptop and pick apart my story. Vin was a great teacher and I learned a great deal from those few nights with him. We had finished the first story and Vin was taking it back with him. Each night, when we were finished working, if you could call it that, we would make love for hours at a time. Sometimes it was slow and hot, while others it was wild and crazy. Vin was a master when it came to my body, knowing where to touch at just the right time, knowing what I needed even before I did. He made me feel things that I had no business feeling. It was going to be a big adjustment when he left and went back to California. The week flew by, just as I figured it would. Vin’s flight was scheduled for 4:00 on Friday afternoon and I took off work early so I could go to the airport with him. It was a quiet drive, each of us lost in our own thoughts. He pulled into the parking garage and found a spot. Turning to me he said, “Gwen, you don’t have to go in if you don’t want to. I’m sure people will be snapping pictures again. We can say good-bye here in private if you want.” “That’s not what’s wrong. I’m just wondering what’s going to happen between us now. You’re going back to your life while I’m staying here and going on with mine.” “I’ll be back. The feelings I have for you will not go away just because we’re not together,” he said, leaning over to kiss me. When I finally pulled back, there were tears in my eyes. “Vin, I don’t want to sound ungrateful or anything, but we have totally different lives. I’m just a nobody from Texas who has no clue how to even begin to compete with the glamour of Hollywood.” “But that’s the kicker, Gwen. You don’t have to compete with anyone or anything. It’s YOU who I care about, nobody else. And who cares what others say or think. As long as we’re happy, to hell with everyone else. Now, are you going to kick me out here or go inside with me?” “Inside, definitely.” I added, opening up the door. The airport was busy and people were everywhere. But for us, it was like we were the only two people there. Everyone faded into the background as we walked to the terminal where his flight would be boarding in a little while. We sat and talked, trying our best to blend in with the other people. When they announced that his flight would be boarding in a few minutes, Vin pulled me up from my seat into his arms, kissing me one last time. When we finally broke apart, he looked into my eyes and said, “This is far from over. I’ll call you in a few days.” And with that, he turned and boarded the plane. I stood there and watched until the plane had taken off and was in the air, then turned and made my way back out to the parking garage. I drove back to my apartment, where I curled up with a book and read all evening. The house was quiet, almost too quiet, since I was used to Vin being there. A little while later, the phone rang. “Hello.” “Hi. Did I wake you up?” “No, I was just reading. What time is it anyway?” “It’s 10:00 here so it must be 12:00 there. Reading, is that it?” “No, I’ve got Matthew McConaughey tied up on my bed.” I laughed. “Ouch, that hurt. Moving on with your life already?” “Yeah, I figured that since he’s a Texas boy I’d probably see him more than I’ll see you.” “You’re so full of shit.” He laughed. “Seriously, I’m lying in bed reading the book that I started a couple of weeks ago, before my life was turned upside down.” “Upside down? You say that like it’s a bad thing.” “No, not bad. Just different. But I wouldn’t change a thing. How was the flight?” “Long and boring. I kept thinking back to the last time I was on a plane.” He started to laugh. “Well, that was definitely the best way to pass the time while flying.” “I couldn’t agree more. I just wanted to call and let you know that I’m home. You’ve got my numbers if you need anything, right?” “Yes.” “Ok, I’ll talk to you in a few days.” “Vin?” “Yeah?” “Thank you.” “For what?” “For everything.” “It has been my pleasure. I’m here if you need anything.” “I know. I’ll talk to you later.” “Bye.” And with that, I hung the phone up and fell asleep. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 10 True to his word, he called a few days later. We talked for a little while, catching up on what had been going on over the past few days. He and the scouting team had finalized their plans, and it looked like production would begin in a few months, which meant that he’d be back in Texas for awhile. He had talked to a few people about looking at my manuscript, so that was in the works. We talked every few days, catching up on what the other was doing. Things had calmed down around the office and getting back to normal. One day, Sue came in to see how things were going. “Not too bad, other than the fact that I miss him.” “When are you going to see him again?” “I don’t know. He hasn’t said anything about that. I do know that he’ll be back in a few months, but I don’t know if we’ll be able to see each other before then.” “Well, at least you have that to look forward to.” “I know.” The weeks went by and still no word on when we’d get to see each other. We still talked every few days, but things were getting hectic with both of our schedules. The company I work for had several big projects that were coming to a close, and I was putting in more hours than usual. Vin’s life was also a whirlwind. The film he was working on ran into some problems and had to be put on the back burner for the time being. Instead, he was scheduled to star in another action film, and production was to begin in a few months. One night during a phone call he asked, “When will you be wrapping up your projects?” “In about two weeks. We’re working on the final drafts right now, and once they’re approved, it won’t take long to get them up and running. Why?” “Can you get away after you’re finished? Say, for about a week?” A week? I hadn’t taken a week off in the four years I had worked for the company. “I guess so. Why? Are you planning on kidnapping me again?” “The thought had crossed my mind. Just tell me when you can get away and I’ll take care of the rest.” “Care to clue me in on where we’re going?” “Sun and sea. Oh, and update your passport.” “Update my passport? Vin, I don’t even have one.” “Good grief girl. You’ve got to get out more often.” “Isn’t that where you come in?” “It looks that way, doesn’t it?” he laughed. “Just tell me when you wrap things up and can get away.” “I will.” Each time after that, when we talked, he always asked how much longer it would be. As it turned out, the two weeks went by pretty quickly. Vin said sun and sea, which meant that I needed to get my passport and go shopping. On the list were new bathing suits, sundresses, shorts, shirts, basically a new summer wardrobe, as well as Vin’s present because his birthday was the following week. That was going to be a tough one. What do you buy for someone who has just about everything under the sun? I called Vin on Wednesday to let him know that everything was running smoothly and that Friday it would be a done deal. “So when can you leave?” “After work Friday. Then I’m all yours for an entire week.” “That’s what I wanted to hear. I’ll call you tomorrow and let you know what the plans are.” As promised, Vin called Thursday night with an update. He was flying down Friday, and then we were leaving Saturday morning on our trip. He said that he had a surprise for me and to meet him around 7:00 Friday evening at the same hangar that Brad has used when he flew down a couple of months ago. Friday came and went with no problems on any of the projects. I figured something would have happened with at least one of them, but thankfully none did. I had taken a change of clothes with me to work and used Sue’s private bathroom to shower and change, then drove to the airport. When I pulled into the hangar, I saw Vin sitting on the steps of the plane. I parked the truck and before I knew what was happening, Vin had opened my door and was hauling me out of the truck and into his arms, giving me a wonderful welcome kiss. “Mmmm, I’ve missed this,” I tell him when we finally come up for air. “Me too. But that’s not the only thing I’ve missed,” he says, nuzzling my ear. Pulling away from him, “You’re growing a goatee again?” “Yeah, I need it for my next movie.” Looking over his shoulder, I notice that the plane is different than the one that we had used earlier. “Who’s plane?” Vin grins like a little boy on Christmas. “Mine.” “You’re kidding. You bought a plane?” “I’ve been thinking about it for a while and figured it was time. Want a tour?” “Sure. Is this the surprise you mentioned last night?” “Yep.” He takes my hand and leads me to the plane, where he introduces me to his pilot. “Tony, this is Gwen. Gwen, this is my pilot, Tony.” “Nice to meet you, Tony.” I say, extending my hand out to him. Tony takes my hand in his. “It’s nice to finally meet you, Gwen. Vin has talked non-stop about you the whole way down here.” “You didn’t believe any of it, did you?” I ask, laughing. “Not a word,” Tony comments, grinning. Vin yanks my hand from Tony. “Paws off. The lady is taken.” Tony laughs and shakes his head. “Glad we got that cleared up.” We walk up the steps to the plane and enter the cabin. “It’s just like the one we used earlier.” “Yeah, I liked the setup and decided to buy one like it.” “No more commercial flights for you.” Pulling me close, he says, “And no more airport scenes for you.” He opens the door to the bedroom and asks, “Care to try it out?” “Oh yeah.” I say as I walk into the small bedroom with Vin following, closing the door behind us. I start to undress, with Vin doing the same. Our loving is fast and crazy, and since we haven’t been together in a while, it doesn’t take long for us to cum. Lying in his arms afterwards I comment, “You don’t know how bad I needed that. Nothing comes close to the real thing.” “Oh really? And just what have you been doing while I’ve been gone?” I started to laugh. “Let’s just say that I’ve got a stash of batteries in the nightstand by my bed.” “Miss me, did you?” Vin asks, kissing my neck. “More than you know. And what about you? Did you succumb to the attentions of someone while we were apart?” I know I shouldn’t have asked, but I needed to know. “No. This is what I want. You and me, together, for as long as you’ll have me. I told you at the cabin that’s what I wanted. But you didn’t believe me, did you? “Honestly, no. I figured that since I’m here and you’re there, you’d do whatever you want, regardless of what you said earlier.” “Well, here’s a tip. When I said that I wanted to be with you, and only you, I meant it.” He leans down and gives me a slow, hot kiss. “We’d better get going,” I say, getting up to get dressed. “I still have to pack.” “You don’t have to pack anything. You can go around naked all week and it’d be fine by me.” “Ummmm, no.” “I tried,” Vin remarks, getting up to get dressed. He grabs his bag and throws it into the backseat of the truck. As usual, he takes the keys away from me and drives back home. Surprisingly, after two months, he remembers the way. He unlocks and opens the door, and is greeted by a grey fur ball winding around his feet. “What the hell is this?” Picking up the kitten I reply, “Vin, meet my new roommate, Melkor.” “You have a cat?” he asks, incredulously. “The house was too quiet after you left and I was lonely. I found him at the SPCA and adopted him. He’s already fixed and de-clawed, so he won’t tear the furniture up.” “But why a cat? Why not a dog?” “It’s not fair to a dog to stay cooped up all day in an apartment. A cat is self-sufficient. Just make sure the litter-box is clean, the food and water bowls are full, he has toys to play with, and give him lots of love.” I say, scratching Melkor under his chin, making him purr. “If I had a house with a backyard, I’d probably have a dog. But a house is not in my plans right now, ere go, no dog.” Vin puts his bag down and takes the kitten from me, looking him in the face. “Sorry, Melkor. You don’t get the bed tonight. That’s my place,” he says, dropping the kitten onto the couch. “I wouldn’t have it any other way,” I comment, taking his hand and leading him into the bedroom. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 11 Saturday dawned a clear and beautiful day. Perfect for traveling. The clock showed that it was 7:30. Vin was already up and dressed, and I found him in the living room playing with Melkor. “So, what do you think about my new friend?” I ask, sitting on the couch with them. “He’s not too bad. I like his name.” “I remembered you saying something about Melkor being the name of your Dungeons and Dragons character, so that’s what I named him.” “I can’t believe you remembered that.” “Well, I did. And as long as he doesn’t go around casting spells or killing everything in sight, we’ll get along just fine.” Vin started to laugh. “Only you would think of something like that. Actually, I think it’s cool that you remembered. Who’s going to take care of him while you’re gone this week?” “Jenn, of course.” “Of course.” Looking at the clock he asks, “How long is it going to take you to get ready to go?” “Not long. I’ve got to shower and pack, so give me about 30 minutes.” “Will do. Melkor will keep me entertained. Male bonding and all that,” Vin replies, picking up one of the kitten’s toys. “Just play nice, boys.” I said, disappearing into the bathroom. About ten minutes later, I come out of the bathroom to find Vin making up the bed. “Need some help?” I offer. “No thanks. I’m almost done.” “Thanks for doing that. You know you don’t have to.” “I know.” He says, dropping a quick kiss on my lips. “Ok, all male’s out of the bedroom,” I say, picking Melkor up off of the bed and handing him to Vin. “I need to get dressed and packed, and I can’t do that with you here.” “Why not?” “Because I’ve got a surprise for you and I don’t want you to see it yet.” He pulls me against him. “Hmmmm, what kind of surprise?” “Did you not hear what I just said? I don’t want you to see it yet.” “Alright.” To Melkor, he says, “Come on, buddy, I know when we’re not wanted.” He carries Melkor into the living room, closing the door behind them. I hurry and get dressed, then pack my bag. I put Vin’s gift in a secret compartment in the bottom of my bag so he won’t see it. Coming out of the bedroom he asks, “Why all the secrecy?” “Now you know how I feel with your secrets and surprises. Ok, I’m packed and ready to go.” Vin grabs the keys off of the table and locks the door behind us. We get into the truck and head to the airport. “Would you please stop somewhere so I can get something to eat. I’m starved and I need my morning shot of caffeine.” “Ok, just tell me where.” We pull into a bakery and get some croissants and my morning shot of Dr. Pepper to take on the plane with us. Then it’s on to the airport. Vin parks the truck by the hangar and grabs our bags from the backseat, taking them onto the plane. Tony has everything ready to go. As soon as we get settled, he taxis out onto the runway and gets the green-light from the tower for us to take off. Vin pulls me down onto the couch with him. “No questions about where we’re going?” “No. You’ll tell me when you want me to know.” We take off and head south over the Gulf of Mexico. Hmmm, many destinations south of the border, but exactly where, I don’t know. I grab a book out of my bag and get comfortable, losing myself in the story. Vin grabs his laptop and plays games. A couple of hours later, Tony announces that we’re almost there. I look out and see beautiful blue water. Shortly thereafter, he lands the plane at an airport, where a jeep is waiting to take us to our hotel. Vin says to Tony, “Be back next Saturday around noon to pick us up.” “No problem. See you guys next weekend.” Grinning, Vin looks over at me and asks, “Still no questions?” “Nope.” Vin puts our bags in the back of the jeep and we’re off. The ride takes about twenty minutes and before I know it, we pull up to a massive hotel. Vin gets our bags out and we head to the front desk to check in. Obviously the receptionist is used to stars coming to the hotel because seeing him doesn’t even faze her. Either that or she’s really good at hiding it. He had booked the room under an assumed name so people wouldn’t find him once they heard that he was in the area. Just another quirk tied to his fame. She called over a bellboy to get our bags and show us where our room was. We climbed into a golf cart and the bellboy drove us around to the end of the hotel, and then down a winding path covered with trees. The room, as it turned out, was a private sea-side cottage set apart from the hotel. The hotel has several of these cottages specifically for people like Vin. The bellboy opened the door and carried our bags through the living room into the bedroom, with Vin and myself following. The cottage is precious. It’s divided into two separate areas, one with the kitchen, dining, and living area and the other with the bedroom and bathroom. Each of the two rooms has patio doors that open onto the porch that spans the length of the cottage, overlooking the beach and ocean. The windows and patio doors have already been opened, letting the sea breeze drift in. A small wicker table with two chairs and a swing are on the porch, while a couple of lounge chairs, a small table and umbrella are on the beach area in front of our cottage, and a double-size hammock is hanging between two palm trees. A small portion of the porch has been sectioned off by lattice where an outside shower has been installed so you can rinse off after you swim. Vin tipped the boy as he left and I wandered out onto the porch, where he joins me, pulling me into his arms. “Welcome to Cozumel.” “It’s beautiful." “Just wait until sunset.” Turning in his arms, I look up at him and ask, “Why are you so good to me? What have I done to deserve this, to deserve you?” “You’ve been a very good girl and Santa is rewarding you early.” he jokingly replies. “Remind me to give Santa a proper thank you later.” “Oh, I don’t think he’ll forget,” he says as he slowly lowers his lips to mine. The kiss is unhurried and filled with passion. Tongues circle each other as if dancing together. Without breaking the kiss, Vin backs up and leans against the porch railing, settling me against him. I reach up and caress his cheek. “Thank you for all of this. For everything you’ve done.” He turns and kisses the palm of my hand. “You’re welcome.” Pulling away from him, I walk back into the bedroom and begin to unpack, leaving his gift hidden in my bag. Vin follows me in and unpacks his things as I walk into the bathroom and find a huge Jacuzzi tub and shower. No expense spared here. I’m walking back into the bedroom when Vin asks, “So, what do you want to do first?” He hands me a list of activities that are available through the hotel. Anything you could possibly want to do is listed. jet skiing, sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, complete gym and day-spa, water skiing, swimming pools, tennis, volleyball. “I have no idea where to even begin.” “I have a suggestion,” Vin comments with a sly grin on his face. “Does it involve the bed?” “Surprisingly, not this time. Why don’t you change into your bathing suit and we’ll go lounge on the beach. I seem to remember a conversation we had where you mentioned the fact that you would love to just lie around on a beach somewhere and forget about the world. Well, here you can do that.” Swatting my butt, he adds, “Go get your suit on.“ I walk over to the drawer and pull out a yellow bikini, one of several new suits I bought for the trip. Turning to Vin I ask, “Do you think you can control those manly urges of yours while I change out here, or should I play it safe and change in the bathroom?” “Bathroom, definitely.” I start laughing as I walk into the bathroom to change. Grabbing the suntan oil as I walk out, I find that Vin has changed into his shorts and is ready to go. He looks up as I walk out of the bathroom. “What’s wrong?” I ask. “You don’t like it?” “I love it.” Grabbing my hand, he pulls me towards the porch. “Let’s go before I change my mind and decide to keep you here.” We walk the short distance from the porch out onto the beach. Rows of palm trees run between the cottages and beach, offering shade if you need it. A small hut is situated a little farther down the beach, serving food and beverages to those staying in the cottages. The beach area in front of the cottages is private, while the beach area in front of the hotel is open to everyone. We stop at the chairs and turning to Vin, I ask, “Will you please put some oil on my back? I don’t want to get burned on the first day and be miserable the rest of the trip.” Taking the bottle from me, he comments, “If we stay in bed all week you won’t have to worry about getting burned.” “Just like a man, thinking with your dick again.” “What, and you don’t?” he asks, applying oil to my upper back. “Just in case you haven’t noticed, I don’t have one.” “Oh, I’ve noticed alright. And I’m not the only one.” “What are you talking about?” “Gwen, look around.” I turn to scan the beach and sure enough, there are several people looking our way. “Yeah, like I believe they’re looking at me. You, my dear, are who they are looking at.” “No, I don’t think so. You missed the couple that walked by a few minutes ago. The woman was practically pulling the guy she was with down the beach because he couldn’t take his eyes off of you.” Taking the oil from him, I poured some into my hand, rubbing it into my skin. “Well, just so there’s no misconceptions, I’m here with you and with you I’ll stay. Want some?” I ask, holding the bottle of oil up. “Sure.” I poured a little bit out and rubbed it on his shoulders, back, and chest, loving the feel of his muscles beneath my touch. “Uh, Gwen?” “Huh?” “I said that’s enough.” “Oh, sorry.” “What’s wrong?” “Nothing.” “Liar.” “Then you tell me what’s wrong.” I challenge. “You want to go back to the cottage and go to bed.” “Damn, I hate it when you do that.” “What, read your mind?” “Yep.” “So?” “As much as I’d love to have my way with you, I’m going to tough it out and stay here in the sun.” I lay down, while Vin settles in his chair beside me. The sound of the wind in the palm trees and the waves crashing near the shore is relaxing. We lay there for a little while watching the surfers. Taking my hand and pulling me up from the chair, he says, “Let’s take a walk down the beach.” We walk down the beach a little ways, enjoying the atmosphere. He takes my hand in his, brings it to his lips, and presses a kiss to the back of it. The next thing I know, he drags me out into the water with him. The water is so clear that you can see the fish as they swim around. “We’ll go snorkeling sometime this week. There’s a reef a little farther out where you can see some beautiful fish.” “That sounds like fun.” We play around in the water for awhile, and then head towards the little hut to get something to eat. Both the atmosphere and the meal are wonderful. “Just wait until dinner. The hotel has a huge buffet or you can order from the menu. The food is great, no matter what you order.” “Like I need to gain weight.” I comment. Leaning across the table, he whispers, “I know of a good way to burn it off.” “Later.” He links his fingers with mine on the table and asks, “So, which place do you like more? Here or the mountain cabin?” “That’s a hard one. They’re both beautiful places in their own way. I’d love to have a place like your cabin and live there for six months and then have a place like this to live the other six months. I’d have the best of both worlds.” “Any places that you would like to see if you had the chance?” “I’ve always wanted to go to Scotland and Australia.” “Both are very nice places, although I prefer Scotland.” “I can understand why. With your D&D obsession, it just seems to me that Middle Earth would be like Scotland was centuries ago. I want to go to Australia on a safari and then visit the beaches. See, there I go again. Wide open spaces and the beach. Hawaii would be nice to visit too.” “I have some friends that live in Hawaii and I’ve been there several times. Each time it’s more beautiful than the last time I visited. Cozumel has nothing on Hawaii, though.” “I didn’t think it would.” The waiter brings over our ticket for Vin to sign. Once that’s done, he takes my hand and we leave the little hut, walking back towards the cottage. A few of the people we pass recognize Vin, and surprisingly, they leave him alone. This is a place where they can come and be themselves. No shutter-bugs waiting to pounce on you. Thinking about this, I ask Vin, “Why did you get us the cottage instead of one of the penthouses, not that I’m complaining or anything. I love our little cottage.” “If we would have stayed at the hotel, we would have had more encounters with people who want to stop and talk, or get pictures or autographs. There will come a time when we have to do that, but until then, I want you all to myself. Everyone is entitled to a life off of the camera, but some people choose to broadcast their private lives as well as their public image. Me, I try to keep them separate. Sometimes they blend together, but for the most part, my private life is my business and not for the public’s eye.” We get to the lounge chairs and grab our stuff, taking it back to the cottage. “I think I’m going to lounge in the hammock for a while. Care to join me?” I ask Vin. “Don’t mind if I do.” He walks over to the hammock and gently sits in it, then reclines back a little. I sit on the edge, swinging my legs up and over the side, then lie back with him. The combination of the hammock gently rocking back and forth, the cool breeze and sounds of the ocean lull me to sleep. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 12 An hour or so later, I wake up to find Vin still asleep. I lay my head on his chest and listen to his heartbeat. So strong, just like the man. But what is more amazing about him is that he has a tender side, also. Who would have thought that he would take the time to think of these special trips, much less make all of the arrangements himself? He said that when it comes to his private life, he takes care of these things. That way there’s no room for mistakes. He stirs and slowly awakens. “How long have you been awake?” he asks. “For just a few minutes. What time is it?” “No watches allowed on this trip. We do what we want, when we want.” “I like that idea. I was thinking about taking a swim.” “That sounds good,” he replies, holding the hammock still so I can get out of it, with him following. We walk into the water a little ways and dive under the waves. We swim for a little while, then body surf back in to shore. It’s nice to be able to let everything go and have fun. We dry off with the towels that were left on the lounge chairs by the hotel staff, who make sure that you’re taken care of. “What do you want to do for dinner? Go up to the hotel, eat at the hut, or order room service?” Vin asks as we are walking back to the cottage. “I know that if we go up to the hotel, you’ll be bombarded by people, but I’d really like to see everything.” “The hotel it is." “Then I’m going to take a shower and change.” “Mind if I join you?” “Not at all.” I head into the bathroom and start the shower, with Vin following. We undress and step into the huge shower that has two showerheads on one wall, giving us our own space to bathe in. I quickly wash my hair, then apply body wash to the bath puff and begin to rub it all over my body, leaving a trail of bubbles where I’ve washed. I turn to rinse off and find Vin watching me. Sitting down on the bench built into the shower, I start to shave my legs, with Vin watching the whole time. I deliberately take my time, making long, slow swipes with the razor. When I’m finished shaving, I stand up and rinse off the excess shaving cream, slowly rubbing up and down my legs, making sure that I didn’t miss any spots. Vin is still watching every move I make. I take a small amount of shaving cream and rub it between my legs. Vin now has a grin on his face. “Care to help me?” I ask, sitting back down on the bench, with Vin taking the razor from me. He kneels down and spreads my legs apart, first shaving the outer lips, then all around. I keep it trimmed down, but I wanted Vin to shave the rest. He has an extremely gentle touch. Once he’s finished, I look down and it’s completely smooth. Running my hand over it, not one nick or cut, no razor burn. He stands me up and I rinse off under one of the showerheads. Then he pins me to the wall with his body, giving me a searing kiss. He’s hard as a rock and as he lifts up my left leg, I wrap it around his waist. He enters me in one thrust, making me cry out. “Mmmm, you’re so hot,” he says, thrusting in and out of me. It doesn’t take long for me to cum. I was so close while he was shaving me, but I wasn’t going to give in to it. I wanted him inside of me when it happened. And once it did, it didn’t take long for him to follow. We rinse off and get out of the shower. Vin goes into the bedroom to dress while I stay in the bathroom to get ready for dinner. Once I’m finished with my hair and makeup, I go to the bedroom and get dressed, then join Vin on the porch. I walk over to him, giving him a quick kiss. "You look nice." "So do you. Ready for dinner?" Taking a deep breath, I say, "Yeah. Let's go." "Wait. Gwen, look," he says, pointing to the sun as it slowly sinks below the horizon. I put my head on his chest as he pulls me to him. "It's beautiful." We stand there together until the sun is completely gone, then follow the path back down to the hotel and head towards the restaurant. The restaurant is full, but we are shown right to a table. When the waiter comes to take our order, we decide to have the buffet. He wasn't lying when he said the buffet was huge. Anything you could possibly want is on it. The food is excellent. Throughout dinner, I notice the looks that women are sending Vin's way, but they are lost on him because his interest is for me alone. When dinner is finished, Vin signs the check and taking my hand, leads me out of the restaurant and down to the beach. "Ready to have some fun?" he asks. "Ready when you are." He leads us down the beach to the other side of the hotel to a huge club. I follow Vin to the bar where he orders a Corona for himself and an Amaretto Sour for me. "You remembered," I comment as he hands the drink to me. "You're not the only one with a good memory. Ready to dance?" "Not yet. Let me finish this drink, then we'll go." We practically have to yell because the music is so loud. The place is packed. Although they're busy every night, Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest. Vin finds a table and we sit for a few minutes, finishing our drinks. As soon as we are done, Vin takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. The DJ is excellent, playing everything from country to rock to reggae. We stay on the dance floor for awhile, then decide to take a break and get something to drink. "You go get the drinks while I visit the ladies' room. I'll be right back." While I'm in the restroom stall, I hear a couple of girls talking about Vin. I decide to stay where I'm at and hear what they have to say. "Isn't he the hottest guy you've ever seen? I mean, the muscles, the voice, that fine ass," the first girl said. "I love the way his shirt fits him like a second skin. I'd love to rip it off of him, along with the rest of his clothes. God, I wonder what he's like in bed?" "I don't know, but I've heard that you can tell if someone is good in bed by the way they dance, and if that's any indication, I'd say that he's VERY good." This is when I decided to come out of the restroom stall. When they looked up and saw me, their eyes turned cold and hateful. I just smiled back at them. Walking over to the sink, I washed my hands and then dried them. Opening the door to the bathroom to leave, I turned and replied, "I don't know which one of you was wondering if he's good in bed, but all I'm going to say is that the word 'good' doesn't even begin to describe him." And with that, I let the door close behind me. I was laughing when I met up with Vin as he was leaving the bar with our drinks. Handing my drink to me, he asked, "What's so funny?" "I just pissed off two girls in the restroom." "Gwen, what did you do?" Taking a drink, I reply, "I know I shouldn't have stooped down to their level, but I couldn't resist." "Gwen." he said, with warning in is voice. "Ok. I was in the restroom stall when they came in talking about you. I wanted to hear what they had to say so I stayed where I was. One of them said that you could tell if someone is good in bed by the way they dance. Evidently they had been watching you for a while because they decided that you must be VERY good. I just set the record straight by telling them that good doesn't even begin to describe you." Taking another drink, I add, "I'm sorry that I said it. It just popped out." "Really? You can tell how someone will be in bed by the way they dance?" There was laughter in his eyes. "You shit," I say, hitting him on the arm. "Don't worry about it. They're probably drunk and won't be able to remember it tomorrow." "God, let's hope so." "Come on." He takes my hand and leads me up the stairs to the second floor where we find a table in the corner. We sit there for a little while, talking and watching the people on the small dance floor up there. Something caught my attention at one of the other tables and I realized it was the two girls from the restroom. I casually pointed them out to Vin. They were watching us, or rather, watching him. He called the waitress over and ordered a shot of tequila, lime and salt. "What are you going to do?" I ask. "I'm going to finish this. Feel like a body shot?" "A what?" I asked. Then it dawned on me what he was going to do. "Vin, think about this. It was wrong for me to say what I did, so let's just leave it at that." The waitress brought over Vin's order. He tipped her and then pulled me onto his lap. He puts a tip of the lime wedge in my mouth, and leaning me back over his arm a little, grabs the salt and drops some between my breasts. He picks up the shot glass and raises it as a salute to the girls watching. He leans forward, slowly licking the salt off of me, slams down the tequila, then pulls me towards him, taking the lime from my mouth. To put the finishing touches on this little scenario, he gives me a kiss that leaves no doubt in their mind who he's going home with. All of a sudden the place erupts with applause. I had no idea that everyone had been watching. All I could think about was the way his tongue felt gliding over my skin as he was licking the salt off of me, and then the kiss after. "Well, so much for anonymity," he says, laughing. "I think that's our queue to exit or do you want to stay a little while longer?" "I think they've seen enough." We stand up and he takes my hand, leading me through the crowd, down the stairs, and outside to the beach. Then we head back through the hotel and down the path that leads to our cottage. The moon is high in the sky, helping to light the way back. Tiki torches have been lit and are placed along the path. Once we are safe on our side of the hotel and Vin is confident that nobody tried to follow us, he heads back out onto the beach. "Well, that was definitely a first," I reply. "What, the body shot or the public spectacle?" "Public spectacle. I know you like to keep things quiet, but that definitely was not quiet. I know that I'm to blame for all of this and I'm sorry. I should have never made that remark in the restroom." "Gwen, I'm not mad. That little show back there was not just for those girls from the restroom, it was for everyone watching, including the guys." "Oh, kind of like marking your territory?" "Something like that." With that comment, I suddenly stop, yanking him back to me. Slowly grinning, I tell him, "Well, baby, you can mark me like that anytime." "I plan on doing that as soon as we get back to the cottage." Taking my sandals off, I challenge "Race ya!" and take off running down the beach. Thank goodness my dress is short or else I couldn't run fast with it tangled around my legs. Before I know it, he's caught up with me. I throw my sandals down and keep running past the cottage, into the trees. Vin catches me and falls, bringing me down with him, but he lands on his back and takes most of the impact. He rolls over and pins me underneath him. "Vin, our clothes are going to be ruined." "Have you ever heard of dry-cleaning services?" "Oh," I say before his mouth covers mine for a hot kiss. The kiss held an urgent message within it. While Vin was doing the body shot, all I could think about was getting back here and making love to him. Evidently the same thing was going through his mind. We broke apart long enough for Vin to take his shirt off and unbutton his pants. Vin braced himself on one arm while he reached down and pulled my panties to the side, then slowly entered me. A groan of satisfaction erupted from Vin at the same time a sigh of relief came from me. He moved slowly at first, but this didn't last long. I raised my left leg up and braced it on his right shoulder. He started to move faster, deeper into me. "Oh baby, I'm almost there," I whisper to him. I raise my right leg up, resting it on his left shoulder, allowing him to drive even deeper. After a few more deep thrusts, he cums. After lying there for a few minutes, he grabs his shirt and gets up, pulling me up with him. We walk out onto the beach and get my shoes, then walk back up onto the porch, and I walk to the corner where the outside shower is at and start to undress. "What are you doing?" "I'm going to rinse off before going inside. I don't want sand in the bed." He decides to join me. We throw our clothes in a pile and step under the warm shower. Taking turns rinsing off, we decide to sit in the swing until we dry off a little. I'm leaning back against Vin, with his arm draped over the back of the swing. "Vin?" "Mmmm?" "Just checking to see if you were asleep." "Not yet, but pretty close." "Ready to go in?" "Sure." I get up from the swing and head into the bedroom, with Vin following. "What about our clothes?" I ask. "Leave them there. We'll call the front desk in the morning." We pull the covers back and crawl into bed. Vin pulls me close. "Sweet dreams," he says, giving me a kiss. "Always." And that night I did have sweet dreams. Dreams of how life could be with Vin. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 13 Vin woke up first the next morning and went to the gym to work out, leaving me to sleep late. When I finally woke up, the clock in the bedroom showed 9:30. Getting up, I wrapped a sheet around me and went out to the porch and sat in the swing, enjoying the morning sounds. A few minutes later I saw him jogging down the beach back towards the cottage. A few people were out walking, but not many. That's the way it is down here, party into the early morning and then sleep half the day away. But not for Vin. No matter what time he gets to bed, he's always up early to jog or work out. Which is why he has a body made for sin. I was thinking about this when he jogs up the steps. He comes over and kisses me. "Good morning. I was wondering how long you were going to sleep." "I got up a few minutes ago. How was your jog?" He went into the bathroom to grab a towel off of the shelf. "Not too bad." he says, coming back out to the porch. "Hardly anyone out right now. The gym was totally empty." Looking around the porch, I ask, "Where's our clothes?" Sitting on the swing beside me, he answers, "I took them up when I went. Someone will bring them back later this afternoon." "Have you had breakfast yet?" "Not yet. I ordered room service on the way to the gym. They should be here around 10:00." "That sounds good." Pulling me to him, he asks, "What do you want to do today?" "I don't know. Not much, that's for sure. Yesterday was a long day." "How about I go get a couple of wave runners and we do a little sight seeing?" "That sounds fun. But make it just one." "Why, scared to drive?" "No, I want to ride with you." "Can't keep your hands off of me?" he says, kissing me. "Something like that." About that time, the doorbell rings and Vin walks through the cottage to answer it. "Gwen, breakfast is here." he calls, as the waiters bring in several trays full of food, setting them on the table. I walk back into the cottage and once they are finished, Vin tips them and they leave. "I wasn't sure what you wanted, so I ordered a mix of things." "Any blueberry muffins?" "They should be here somewhere." Spying a basket with something wrapped in it, he says, "Yeah, here they are." He takes one out and hands it to me. "Now I need a shot of caffeine. What did they bring to drink?" "They brought a case of Dr. Pepper for you." Shaking his head, he comments, "I don't see how in the world you can drink one this early in the day." "Some people drink coffee. I drink Dr. Pepper." We sit down and start going through all of the food they brought. He wasn't kidding when he said that he ordered a mix. Pancakes, waffles, bacon, eggs, toast, muffins, breakfast burritos, just about anything you might want. "I'll make this easy for next time. Muffins or croissants are fine with me. There's no need to waste all of this food." Sitting down at the table, we try a little bit of everything they brought. When we are full, we stack the dishes and leave them on the table. Room service will pick them up when they come to change the linens and clean the cottage. Vin grabs the phone and calling the front desk, requests a wave runner for the day. "They'll have one ready in about an hour," he says after hanging up. "Sounds good to me. I think I'll go take a quick shower and change." "I'll join you in a few minutes." I head into the bathroom and jump into the shower. Vin joins me as I'm shaving my legs. "What took you so long?" "I had a phone call to make." "Oh, ok." I finish shaving, then rinse off and grab a towel as I get out, drying off as I walk into the bedroom. I take out another new bathing suit, this one a lime green and turquoise mixed print. Vin finishes his shower and comes into the bedroom as I'm getting dressed. He grabs a pair of shorts and puts them on. I go back into the bathroom and pull my hair up into a pony tail so it won't be in my face while riding the wave runner. When I'm finished, I head out onto the porch where Vin is sitting on the steps, wearing a baseball cap and shades. "You know, never in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that I'd be here, lounging on the beach for a week. And with you, no less. Thank you." I say, leaning up and kissing him on the cheek. "It's my pleasure." Standing up and taking my hand, he says, "You ready to go?" "Yep." We head down the beach to the pier where the wave runners are rented out, and Vin signs the necessary forms. The boy working there shows him which one is ours and hands him the key. Vin gets on first, and then I get on, sitting behind him. Turning his head slightly so I can hear him over the motor, he tells me to hang on. This I have no problem doing. I have my arms wrapped around his waist, pressing my body against his. He heads away from the pier, into deeper water past the point where the waves break. The water is absolutely gorgeous. You can see the bottom so it's hard to tell exactly how deep the water is. We ride past several other hotels, watching the activities on the beach. Several other couples have the same idea as ours, so we end up in a small group, riding together. Introductions are made and we meet two couples on their honeymoon, David and Mary are from Colorado, while Kevin and Tara are from Tennessee, and a couple celebrating their anniversary, Tim and Amber are from Houston. We are all staying at the same hotel. Everyone is shocked to meet Vin, and once they get over their initial shock, we have a good time. I see a school of dolphins a little ways away and point them out to Vin. He heads towards them, but stops before he gets too close. The others follow. Once everyone gets there, they shut down the motors and we just drift together. We sit watching the dolphins for a little while, then decide to head out again. Of course, guys being guys, they decide to race each other. It's a blast. We don't do too badly, we win some and we lose some. Then they start playing around, taking off and making fast turns, spraying each other. Everyone gets totally drenched. We decide to head back to our part of the beach, inviting the others back for lunch with us. We ride the wave runners right up onto the beach near the hut. Everyone follows us into the hut and we put several tables together so we can all sit in one group. "I saw your picture in the paper a couple of months ago," Amber says. Tim adds, "Yeah, and she got so excited because you were in town." Blushing, Amber smacks him on the arm. "Ok, you can shut up now." Vin just grins and covers my hand with his. The waiter comes to the table and takes our orders. We play musical chairs so the guys can talk to Vin while I chat with the girls. They want to know everything. "How did you two meet?" Amber asked. Laughing, I reply, "He was stalking me. I was in New Orleans with some friends a few months ago at the same time Vin was there. He started following us around." "And?" This from Tara. "We started talking and things just kind of took off from there. I never expected to see him after that, but as you can see, here we are." "How romantic," Mary says. "It was kind of overwhelming at first. It felt like I was dreaming.” "Do you know how many women would give anything to be in your shoes right now?" Tara comments. "I had a run in with two of them last night at the club." And I relayed the story to the girls. Finishing up, I added, "I say what I feel and if it pisses people off, then too bad. But now, when I'm with Vin, I have to watch what I say when we're in public. I shouldn't have said what I did last night, but it was too good to pass up." "Was he mad?" Mary asks. "Surprisingly, he wasn't. He played even dirtier." And I told them about the body shot. "You know what?" Amber asks. "We were at the club last night and heard everyone upstairs yelling and clapping. Oh man, that was you?" "Yeah." Mary and Tara said that they were at the club too, and wondered what was going on upstairs. They were all laughing so hard that the guys turned to look at us. When Vin pinned me with a stare, I just held my hands up and shrugged. Luckily, the waiter arrived with the food, so everyone changed seats again so we could eat. Everyone was talking at once. Vin leans close and asks, "Are you having fun?" "Yeah, I am. I wasn't sure about it at first, but this is ok." "Good. I just want you to have a good time," he says, leaning over to kiss me. "I always have a good time when I'm with you." We finish lunch and Kevin made a comment about getting up a game of football. Tara throws her hands up. "He had to bring that stupid football on our honeymoon. He can't go anywhere without it and sometimes I think he loves the thing more than he loves me." Kevin pulls her close and gives her a kiss. "It doesn't keep me warm at night like you do." Tara gets embarrassed and we all laugh. Vin invites them back to our place, explaining, "We don't want to broadcast a message to everyone announcing that I'm here. The others staying in the cottages near us knows that we're here, and they leave us alone. But if we go to the public beach, we'll be a target for everyone." Looking over at me, he adds, "The incident at the club last night was enough." But there is a huge smile on his face. "You are as much to blame for that as I am." I remind him. Vin signs the ticket while Kevin and Tara goes to their room to get the football. The rest of us go out and get on the wave runners, heading out to deeper water to wait for Kevin and Tara to join us. Finally Tara and Kevin meet us and Vin leads everyone back to our private beach. We park the wave runners on the beach, and the guys start tossing the ball. The girls follow me up to the cottage, wanting to see what it looks like. They love the place. "Vin wanted something away from everyone, so this is what we have." I grab my camera and take it back outside with us. We walk out onto the porch, with Amber and me sitting in the swing and Mary and Tara sitting in the chairs. Everyone is talking about Mary and Tara's weddings, and Amber recounts theirs as well. Then they ask me what kind of wedding I want. "As much as I'd love to have a traditional wedding, I've always thought about getting married in a place like this. Invite a few close friends to come with us, make it a party. I'd do it at sunset, as the sun is slipping below the horizon. We watched the sunset yesterday evening and it was absolutely gorgeous." Not realizing what I was doing, I was watching Vin the entire time I was talking. "Very romantic." Amber comments, with the others agreeing. Picking my camera up, I walk to the steps. "Do you mind if I get some pictures?" Tara jumped on that one. "Take all you want. I was wondering how I was going to get pictures of me and Kevin together. That is, if you don't mind." "I don't mind at all, just as long as you get some shots of me and Vin. I have a few that were taken in New Orleans, but I want some from this trip." I showed each of them how to work my camera and said that they can use it. I step out onto the beach, snapping pictures of the guys. Vin runs up and asks if we want to play. I jump at the chance. "Sure, count me in." Anything to get my hands on his body. I set the camera down on the hammock. The teams were split up as David/Mary and Kevin/Tara on one team, with Vin/myself and Tim/Amber on the other. We could tackle the guys, but they could only touch us and we were down. The game was a blast. We all took turns being the QB, and Vin was surprised that I could actually throw a football. We played for a little while like that, and then we decided to take a break. Everyone went up to the cottage and sat around on the porch. I grabbed the camera and stared snapping pictures. Amber took it from me so she could get some shots of Vin and me together. We sat there and talked for a little while and then decided to all go out and swim. While we were out there, Vin asks, "Still having fun?" "Yeah. What about you?" "Yep. You surprised me again. I didn't know you could throw a football." "I'm a woman of many talents." Pulling me close, he leans down and says, "Yes you are.” "Ready to go in?" "Whenever you are." We head back to shore, letting the waves carry us in. "I've got an idea, but I wanted to run it by you first." "Ok." "How about we invite them to dinner and then go to the club after?" "Are you sure that the club is a good idea after the fiasco last night? Maybe we could go to a different one." "That's cool. There are plenty of them around to choose from." Everyone follows us back to the cottage, sitting and talking on the porch. Vin invites them to dinner and then out dancing afterwards. Everyone agrees and we decide to meet in the hotel foyer around 8:00 for dinner. Deciding to call it a day so we can rest before tonight, we take the wave runners back to the pier and walk back down the beach to the cottage while the others head up to the hotel. Walking along, I tell Vin, "That was fun. Now, don't get me wrong, I love it when it's just the two of us, but it's nice to be with other people too." Joking, Vin says, "I can't wait until we get to the club tonight so I check out the way the girls dance." "You would." "And you wouldn't check out the guys?" "In a heartbeat. Turn about is fair play, right?" "Yeah, but just remember who you go home with at the end of the night." "That's not something I'm likely to forget." We arrive back at the cottage and Vin goes inside to make reservations for dinner. He comes back out and joins me in the hammock so we can rest for a little while. The sky turned cloudy, bringing a small rain shower, but not enough to drive us inside. A few minutes later, the rain stopped and the sun came out again. "Tired?" Vin asks. "A little." "Too tired?" "Not right now." I reply, grinning. We get out of the hammock and head to the bedroom. Vin sits on the edge of the bed and reaching behind me, unties my bathing suit top, watching as it falls to the floor. He pulls me to him so he can kiss my breasts, circling each nipple with his tongue, and then gently sucking on it. Cradling his head, I kiss the top of it, then lean to the side so I can slowly run my tongue around his ear. I push him back to where he is lying on the bed and I'm straddling him. Leaning down to kiss him, I start at his lips and work my way down, over his neck, down across his chest, circling each nipple, then slowly trail my tongue across his abs, then lower. Pulling his shorts down and off of him, I find what I'm looking for. Taking him in hand, I gently squeeze the shaft as I take him into my mouth. Up and down my mouth goes on him, then I take him out and lick up the shaft to the head, gently sucking on it. Changing the angle of my mouth, I take him all the way in. I love the way he feels in my mouth. "Damn, that feels good." he says. I continue to suck him for a little longer, working myself up in the process. "God Vin, I can't wait any longer," I say, standing up and pulling off my bathing suit bottoms. He pulls me down onto the bed with him, and covering my body with his, slowly slides into me. "Oh yeah, that's what I needed," I tell him. "Glad I could be of service," he says, covering my mouth with his. We take our time, loving into the early evening. Neither of us wants it to end, but we know that we have to meet everyone for dinner. Lying in his arms afterwards, I look at the clock. "Vin, it's 7:15. We need to get ready." "Damn, it's that late?" "Yeah. We lost track of time." "Oh, but what a way to lose it," he says, pulling me up from the bed. After taking a shower and getting dressed, we arrive at the hotel just before 8:00 to find everyone waiting. We walk the short distance to the restaurant and then follow the hostess out onto the patio where they have our table set up. Everyone decides to have the buffet. Dinner is excellent and we all have a good time. It's 10:30 before we even realize it, so we head over to the club at the hotel next to ours. The place is pretty packed, considering it's Sunday. The guys head to the bar for drinks while we find some tables. We were talking about the football game when they arrive with our drinks. We hit the dance floor when we finished our drinks. Everyone danced with everyone else, and we danced as one big group for a few songs. One of the songs that the DJ played was "If You Want It To Be Good Girl (Get Yourself A Bad Boy)" by The Backstreet Boys. Vin didn't want to dance to this, but I told him that if he stayed out there with me, I'd make it worth his while. I started dancing around him, changing up the words to the song so it would be "Get Yourself a Bad Girl". This he liked, as well as the way I was dancing. Pulling me against him, he got into it, grinding his hips into me. When the song was over, we went back to the table. "Enjoy yourself?" Vin asks. "Oh yeah." I reply, pulling him down for a kiss. "Ready to go?" "Not even close." The DJ played a slow song. Amber and Tim were on the dance floor and saw us kissing. "So, what do you think about those two?" Tim asks. "I wasn't sure what to expect when we first met them. But now that we've spent some time with them, they're just regular people. Gwen doesn't think she's any better than us because she's with him, and he doesn't have the mega-ego that you would think he would have. I think it's neat. I mean, look at them. They are so into each other.” Vin and I stay at the table for a few minutes, and then head back out on the dance floor. They play several fast songs and we all end up in a big group dancing again. Amber and I decide to take a break so Tim goes to the bar with Vin for more drinks. Handing us our drinks a few minutes later, Tim says, "Drink up ladies, the nights still young." Doing as he says, we quickly down our drinks and head back to the dance floor, where we finish out the night. Around 2:30 Monday morning, we decide to call it quits. Everyone says their good-byes, and we decide to have dinner Wednesday night and then go to the club again. We walked back to the cottage and fell asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 14 I woke up to the sound of running water. Getting up to investigate, I wrap the sheet around me and find Vin in front of the bathroom mirror shaving. "Good morning," I say as I pass by him, perching myself up on the bathroom counter. "I was wondering what time you were finally going to come out of your cocoon.” “What time is it?” “It's almost noon." "Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" "I tried, several times. You just mumbled something and rolled over, falling back asleep." "I'm sorry. I didn't realize it was so late." "Don't apologize. That's what vacations are for." "Obviously not in your case. What time did you get up?" "Around 7:00. I went to the gym and worked out, then came back and tried to wake you up. Breakfast is on the table if you're hungry." "In a little bit. I think I'll just sit here and watch you." "Why?" "You watched me shave, now it's my turn." He finishes up and grabs a towel wipe off the excess shaving cream. Moving over to stand in front of me, he leans down and gives me a kiss. "What's on the agenda for today?" I ask. "Nothing as far as I know." "I think I'm going to make an appointment at the spa for a massage, maybe get a manicure and pedicure." "I think I'll pass." Walking into the living room, I call the spa and make an appointment for the following day at 9:00. "Well, that takes care of tomorrow morning. Think you can find something to do for a few hours while I'm there?" I ask Vin. "I don't think that's going to be a problem around here." "Now, what to do today?" "How about going into town later?" "Cool. I need to get something for Jennifer and my niece. But you get to do all the haggling over the prices." "Done." I go back into the bedroom and put on a pair of shorts and t-shirt, and then grabbing a couple of muffins off of the table and a Dr. Pepper from the refrigerator, I go out to sit in the swing, where Vin joins me a few minutes later. "I've got some good news." "Really, what?" "Remember the story I took back with me? I gave it to several people to look over, and one of them wants to meet with you." "Vin, quit joking about that. You know as well as I do that nothing is going to happen with my story." "Gwen, I'm serious. I've got a publisher that wants to meet you." Looking at him, I realize that he's not joking. "Do you know what this means?" he asks. "No." "It means that you’re going to be a published writer.” "Wait a minute. You think that I'm going to go through with this? Vin, you are crazy." "Why not try it? What have you got to lose?" "Why are you doing this?" "I've got my reasons." "How many of these people know that we're sleeping together?" "Gwen, it's not like that. The people I gave your story to are friends of mine. I would do this for anyone who I thought was a good writer. I'm not doing this just because we're together. You're a good writer and I want to see you do something with that talent. Things won't change between us if you don't pursue this, so don't think that they're tied together, because they're not." "I'll think about it, but don't get your hopes up." "That's all I ask. But if you decide to do this, and you're not sure about something, just tell me and I'll see what I can do." "We'll see." "Ok, with that out of the way, now what? Oh yeah. Dinner is here tonight, just you and me." "Fine by me. I can actually get to bed at a decent hour then." Leaning over to kiss me, he says, "You may be in bed at a decent hour, but you might not be asleep." "I figured as much." I reply, laughing. We sit on the porch for a little while longer, watching the windsurfers streak across the water. "Want to give that a try?" he asks. "I don't think so. They're going way too fast and if they wipe out, they're fish food." "It's not as hard as it looks. Balance is the key factor." "Even so, I think I'll stick with motorized watercraft. At least I know how to control them." We watch the windsurfers a little while longer, then I go inside to take a shower while Vin calls the front desk to arrange for transportation into town. The hotel has a fleet of jeeps that you can rent to tour the island. We walk up the path to the hotel where Vin picks up the keys, and make our way into town. Driving down here is nothing like driving at home. These crazy fools drive on both sides of the road and everyone thinks they have the right of way, so you either move over or get run over. Luckily there were no mishaps on our way into town. Vin finds a place to park on the side of the road and we make our way into the market place. Anything you want can be found here. I wasn't sure what I wanted to get, so we milled around a little while, checking out everything that they had to offer. I found an ivory hand-carved dragon to add to my collection, a beautiful bracelet for Jennifer, and a necklace for my niece. Vin did the haggling and ended up with a pretty good deal. We walked around for a little while, and ended up running into Tim and Amber. "Well, long time no see," Amber says. "What has it been now, about twelve hours?" I remark. "Probably." Spotting my bag, she asks, "What did you get?" Vin and Tim are talking quietly between themselves while Amber and I look at the things Vin bought. Joining us, Vin comments, "I know of a little place a few streets over if you guys want to join us for a drink." "Sounds good to us," Amber says. Following Vin, we make our way to a little bar. We found a table and the waitress took our drink order. We sat and talked for a little while after she brought our drinks over. "Gwen, can I borrow Vin for a few minutes?" "Sure, just bring him back when you're done." I turn to Amber. "I wonder what that was about." "Tim wants to get me something but he doesn't want me to know about it. Don't ask because I don't fully understand his way of thinking either." "How did you two meet?" I ask her. "He ran into me, literally. We were in college where I was a freshman and he was a junior. I was at a stop sign and he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing and he rear-ended me. I was furious. I jumped out of my car ready to smack someone and when he finally got out of his, I gave him all kinds of hell, called him every name in the book. My parents had given the car to me for a graduation present and here is this dumb-ass not paying attention and he hits my car. His insurance paid for the repairs, but still, he wrecked my new car. He asked me out a few times after that, and I blew him off, but he kept on. Finally, I gave in and went out with him. The rest is history." "In this day and age, being married to the same person for five years is a landmark. I have friends who are working on their third husband. I almost got married a few years ago, but when it came down to it, I couldn't see myself growing old with him. I mean, don't get me wrong, he was very good to me, but something was missing. I'm glad that I saw it before it was too late." "And Vin. How does he make you feel?" "I’m scared as hell of my feelings for him. I know that one day he's going to ask himself why he's with someone like me." "What do you mean, someone like you?" "Amber, I'm just a simple girl from Texas who has nothing to offer him except my love. And I don't know if that would be enough for him. I mean, he could have his pick of thousands of women all over the world, and yet he chose me. Why?" "Maybe you can give him something that the others can't." "Which is?" "A normal life. You're not involved with the Hollywood scene and you don't care about it. You said it yourself, you're just a simple girl from Texas. Maybe that's what he needs in his life to balance it out, to keep him tied to the real world." "Maybe." The guys make it back to the bar a little while later with no purchases in sight. "Where's my present?" Amber asks Tim. "Search me when we get back and you might find it." "That sounds interesting," she comments, pulling him down for a kiss. "Hey," Vin says, coming around the table and giving me a quick kiss. "So, how'd it go?" "That man is pickier than a woman." Looking over to see if it was safe to talk and seeing them kissing, he adds, "We found lots of gorgeous jewelry, but he kept finding things wrong with them. Too big, too small, wrong color. I was ready to give up on him when he finally found something for her. What did you and Amber do while we were gone?" "Girl talk." "About?" "I'll never tell." "Which translates into men," Tim replies. "Any in particular?" Vin asks. "No, just men in general." Tim warns Vin, "Don't even try to pry it out of them. It doesn't work." Vin starts laughing and pins me with a stare. "Does the term cruel and unusual punishment ring a bell?" I groan. "Oh, no you don't. Not again." "Gwen, what's he talking about?" Amber asks. Not taking my eyes off of Vin, I reply, "Nothing." We finish off our drinks and decide to call it a day. We head back through the market to where Vin had parked the jeep and make our way back down to the hotel, where Vin goes in to return the key. The sun is setting about the time we make it back down to the cottage. Standing on the porch together, we watch until it's completely gone. Taking my hand, he leads me into the living area, where there are lit candles all around and our dinner is on the table. "How did you manage this?" I ask. "I'll never tell." He leads me to the table, holding my chair out for me, then sits in the chair to my right. He takes the covers off of the plates that were on the table. Crab, lobster, boiled shrimp, potatoes, mixed vegetables, and rolls. We take turns dishing out different items onto each other's plates, then start to eat. Naturally, I hit the crab first. The shells have already been cracked, so the only thing left to do was break it apart to get the meat. Picking up a crab leg, I snapped it, pulling off one side and using the small fork, split the shell down the center and fished the meat out. Luckily it came out in one piece, so I dipped it into the butter sauce and holding it up, opened my mouth and slowly let it slide in. Vin watches me the entire time. "Mmmmm, this is excellent," I comment, going after the next crab leg. "Here, let me," he offers, following the same steps I just used. He dipped it into the butter sauce and held it above my mouth, waiting for me to open it. When I did, I snaked my tongue out and wrapped it around the crabmeat, pulling it into my mouth, with Vin's fingers brushing my lips. I continued through the rest of the meal as if nothing had happened. Everything was delicious. We somehow made it through the rest of the meal without any other incidents, but it was hard as hell. Vin gets out of his chair and taking my hand, leads me into the living area. He flips a button on the wall and music starts to play. "Dance with me?" he asks. I walk into his arms and it feels like coming home, a safe place that you never want to leave. We dance to a few slow songs, and then my favorite one comes on, "This I Promise You" by *NSYNC. Closing my eyes, I lay my head on his shoulder. He tilts my chin up, looking deep into my eyes, as if trying to read my soul. An unwanted tear falls, and he brushes it away. I try to lay my head back down, but he won't let me. He slowly lowers his lips to mine, conveying his feelings in this kiss. It's soft and tender, full of promises. We break the kiss and he takes my left hand in his, sliding a diamond ring on my finger. I'm watching this as if it's a dream. Tilting my chin up, he says, "I love you," before tenderly kissing me, then holding me even tighter in his arms as we continue to dance together, listening to the words of the song. When the song is over, I pull back from him a little, and the tears that I had so desperately tried to hide from Vin fell openly. "Why?" I ask. "Why me? What could have possibly happened between us that led you to this decision?" "Well, let’s see. You don’t put up a front and act like someone or something you’re not. You speak your mind. You don’t take shit from anyone. And you don’t give me my way every time I want something either. I love being with you. I love being myself when I’m with you. I don’t want to end up old and alone. Yeah, I’ve had girlfriends or lovers, or whatever you want to call them, but nothing comes close to what we have. This is real, Gwen, and I don’t want to lose it. I’ve had my playtime. Now I want to settle down, well, as much as my profession will allow, and I want to do that with you." "All of that in the short time that we've known each other?" I cautiously ask. "I told you in New Orleans that I could read people, know when they want something from me, and know when their feelings are genuine. You have got to be the most down to earth person that I know. And I know that deep down you care for me, probably more than you want to admit, and that’s why I feel that we can make it work between us." Then after a short pause, he adds, "Oh, that plus the great sex." That made me smile a little. "You’re not going to stop until I say it, are you?" "Nope," he replies with a smug grin on his face. I take a deep breath and look into his gorgeous eyes and say, "I love you too. God help me, but I do. But I want you to know that that fell in love with the man, not the Hollywood Hero. I tried my hardest not to, but you make it so easy to love you, the real you." "That’s all I wanted to hear." He leans down and his lips meet mine for a long, slow, thorough kiss. Taking my hand, we go around the room blowing out the candles, then walk into the bedroom together. After slowly undressing each other, Vin gently lowers me onto the bed with him covering my body. This time, our loving is slow and hot, taking our time, savoring each moment. Slowly and gently he slides into me, my body wrapping around his. He begins to move slowly, the passion building until we both can't take it any longer, then stopping to lay motionless for a minute before beginning again, loving the way our bodies felt together. The sea breeze drifting into the room cools our heated bodies. We loved this way for hours. With the moon high overhead and candlelight dancing on the walls, we finally let ourselves go and fall over the edge together. Vin slides off of me and cradles me in his embrace. Holding up my left hand and watching the diamonds reflect the candlelight, he asks, "So, what do you think?" "It's beautiful. Thank you." I say, reaching up to gently kiss him. The ring has a marquis cut diamond in the center and marquis and baguette diamonds at its side. "You know, I've bought lots of jewelry before, but this one scared the hell out of me." "Why? It's just a ring." "No, it's a ring that I bought for the woman I love. There's a difference." "I feel bad because I don't have anything to give you." "You already have. You've given me your love and you've given me hope that we can make a future together." "I don't know how we're going to accomplish that, with us living and working in two different places." "We'll figure it out." He gets out of bed to blow out the remaining candles in the bedroom, and then joins me again. "Get some sleep, we've got a big day ahead of us," he says. Taking my hand and bringing it to his lips, he presses a kiss on the symbol of our love. "I love you, Gwen," he says looking down at me. Reaching up and gently placing a kiss on his lips, I reply, "I love you too." We both fall into a peaceful sleep, now knowing where our lives are headed. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 15 Wednesday morning dawned to find Vin still in bed. The time on the clock showed 7:30. "Not going to the gym this morning?" I ask. "I'll go later when you go to the spa. I thought we'd start the day off right." he says, leaning over and gently kissing me. "Mmmm, sounds good to me," I say, pulling his mouth back down to mine. For the next hour, we lost ourselves in each other, our bodies becoming one. Around 8:30, we finally get up and take a shower, then head down to the hotel. Walking me to the spa, he gives me a quick kiss. "I'll see you in a couple of hours." The massage wonderful. Then I went into the nail salon, which was situated next to the gym and separated by a glass wall, for my manicure and pedicure. Because he was at the gym later than usual, there were lots of people there. I could see him talking to some of the people working out near him. I had never seen Vin work out before. I watched the way his muscles flexed each time he did curls, or worked on the weight bench, and thought of the times that I had felt those same muscles flex under my touch each time we made love. Apparently I wasn't the only one watching. A few women in the salon were watching him as well. When the manicurist finally finished, I made my way over to the gym. Seeing me walk in, he grabbed his towel and walked over to meet me. "I was wondering when you were going to be finished." he remarked. "Well, here I am, all relaxed and painted." Taking my hand in his, he looks at my nails. "Red." "They match the outfit I'm wearing tonight." "Cool," he replies, linking his fingers with mine as we walk out. "So, what do you want to do for the rest of the day?" he asks. "How about walking the beach? I want to enjoy the sun but I don't want to lay out." "Sounds good to me. We'll grab a bite to eat before we go." Walking down to the little hut, we ate a quick lunch, then went to the cottage and changed into our swimsuits. The walk was wonderful. We passed several hotels, watching people as we go. Vin had his baseball cap and glasses on, so we blended in with everyone else. It must be the goatee throwing everyone off, because in most of the pictures that people see of him, either in magazines or movie posters, he has a clean-shaven face. It's nice to just let go and have fun. One time I grabbed his hat and took off running, with him chasing me. When he caught me, he grabbed me in a bear-hug and spun me around, making me dizzy. Putting me down on my feet, I fell over in the water. He bent down and offered his hand to help me up, and I caught him off balance and pulled him down with me. We were rolling around in the water like a couple of kids, then he stops and pins me under him. "You know, I don't think I've ever had this much fun before." he says. "What can I say, I'm just a kid at heart." I say, giving him a quick kiss before trying to push him off of me. "Going somewhere?" "Evidently not." He lowers his mouth to my neck and starts to kiss and nibble on it, making me laugh. "Vin, you don' t play fair." "I never said I did," he comments before kissing me. Letting me up, we made our way back to the cottage and collapsed in the hammock, enjoying the afternoon breeze. "Vin, the ring is beautiful," I comment, holding my hand up and watching the diamonds sparkle. "I'm glad you like it. I had several different ones picked out but I kept coming back to this one. There's just something about it." "It's perfect. Thank you." "No, it's you who I should be thanking. Thank you for letting me into your life and loving me for who I really am." "It's been my pleasure, in more ways than one," I reply, pulling him down for a slow kiss. "Care to finish this in the bedroom?" "Oh, yeah." I say, getting out of the hammock and walking up to the porch. Before I realize what's happening, Vin scoops me up and carries me into the bedroom, setting me on my feet next to the bed. Lightly running my hands over his shoulders and chest, I watch his muscles flex under my touch. Slowly trailing my fingers down his stomach, he sucks in a deep breath. I get to his shorts and slowly slide them down, licking his hard cock as I go. He steps out of his shorts and lays down on the bed, where I sit between his legs and go back to work, fucking him with my mouth. Starting out slow and increasing the pressure of my lips as I speed up, I bring him to the edge. "Ahhh, Gwen. Fuck, that feels good." Taking him into my mouth one last time and adding just a little more pressure with my lips, I send him over the edge a few minutes later. When his breathing finally returns to normal, he says, "You're in for it now." He grabs me and pins me beneath him, holding my arms over my head. "Hold on to the headboard and do not let go." He slowly unties my bathing suit top, letting his fingers lightly trace where the top had just been. He runs his hand between my breasts, down over my stomach. Hooking his fingers around my bottoms, he slowly pulls them down and off of me. He just sits there, staring, trying to decide where to start. He leans down and kisses my stomach, gently pulling on my belly-button ring with his teeth, then lightly running his tongue up between my breasts, on to my neck. Lightly kissing then gently blowing the same spot, he gives me goose-bumps. He does this in several places on my neck, causing me to move my head around, trying to keep him from doing it any more. "Damn it, that tickles." "I know." He slowly lowers his mouth to my breast, lightly tracing a circle around it with the tip of his tongue. I arch my back, trying to get him to take it into his mouth, but he pushes me back down. Then he moves to the other one, doing the same thing. Vin looks up at me with a grin on his face. "Remember, do not let go of the headboard." Slowly tracing a path lower, he lightly runs a finger between my outer lips, causing me to raise my hips up off of the bed. His tongue follows the same trail that his finger just took. First licking the lips, then sucking gently. His tongue finds my clit, and he gently sucks on it as he inserts two fingers into my wet cunt. He keeps licking and sucking my clit, fucking me like that for several minutes. "Oh God, Vin. I'm gonna cum." Then he slowly slides one finger into my ass, and the sensations are too much for me to handle. Screaming his name, I cum. But he's not finished yet. Before I realize what's happening, he's flipped me over and I'm on my knees. "Don't let go of the headboard," he repeats again. Holding my hips, he slowly slides into me. We start off slow, but eventually speed up. I meet him thrust for thrust. It doesn't take long and we both cum. He licks a trail along my backbone up to my neck, lightly biting it. "Can I let go of the headboard yet?" "Yeah, now you can," he say, laughing. Letting go of the headboard and turning around, I collapse against him. "What time are we supposed to meet everyone for dinner?" I ask. "I think we decided on 8:00." Looking at the clock, he says, "It's 5:15 now." "I'm going to soak in the tub. Care to join me?" "In a little bit. I'm going to lay here awhile." "Ok," I say, disappearing into the bathroom and start filling the tub. I grabbed the shaving cream and razor and shaved while sitting on the side of the tub, watching it fill up. When I had finished shaving, I slowly sank below the water, letting the tub fill up a little more. Vin walks into the bathroom. "Any room for me in there?" "Plenty," I say, standing up so he can get in with me sitting behind him. Wrapping my legs around him, he settles his hands on my legs. Taking the bath sponge, I run it across his chest and shoulders, down his arms. "Mmmm, that feels good," he says, leaning back against me, running his hands up and down my legs. "Tired?" I ask. "No, just relaxing. This is nice." "Definitely." We lay in the tub for a little while longer, then get out to get ready for dinner. Walking to the dressing table, I pull up my hair and do my makeup, then head into the bedroom to get dressed. Vin is already dressed and laying on the bed watching me. I walk to the dresser and pull out a red lace thong, sliding it up my legs and over my hips, then putting on the red lace bra to match. "Oh, man, I didn't need to see that. Now I'm going to be thinking of it all night." "I told you, red nails to match my outfit for tonight." "I thought you meant your clothes." "I did," I say, walking to the closet and pulling out a red and white print mini-skirt and red tank top. "You don't play fair, Gwen." "Oh, and you do? I know you're not wearing anything under your jeans, so I guess that makes us even." "Truce?" he offers. "Truce," I agree, walking over to give him a quick kiss. We walk out to the porch and watch the sun going down, then walk up to the hotel to find everyone waiting. The waitress leads us outside to our table, and everyone decides on the buffet again. We sat and talked, catching up on what everyone had been doing over the last few days. A couple of hours later, we decided to go to the club at our hotel. When we arrived, the guys went to the bar while we looked for a table. Mary and Tara went to the restroom, so Amber and I had a little time to talk. "So, what did Tim get for you?" I asked. Holding out her right hand, she showed me an emerald and diamond ring. "Amber, that's gorgeous." "Thank you. And what is that I see on your finger?" she asks, holding my hand to look at my ring. "That wasn't there yesterday, was it?" "No, he gave it to me last night." "It's beautiful.” “Thanks.” Tara and Mary arrived back at the table the same time the guys did with our drinks. "Hey, hey, drink up ladies. The nights young!" Tim says. Barely giving us time to get a taste, they drag us out onto the dance floor, where it seems like each song the DJ plays has a sexual undertone to it. "Breathless" by The Corrs, "Give It To You" by Jordan Knight, "It Feels So Good" by Sonique, "Sexual" by Amber, “Touch It” by Monifah. The DJ slows things down and plays "This I Promise You" by *NSYNC, and Vin pulls me into his arms, our bodies fitting together perfectly. "I was wondering when he was going to get around to playing this," he comments. "You had him play this?" "Yeah. It cost me a pretty penny, but it's worth it," he says. Taking my left hand, he presses a kiss on my ring. "What did I do to deserve you?" "I should be asking you the same thing." Swaying to the music, I ask, "How did you know that this is my favorite song?" "I didn't. It just fits the way I feel about you." Reaching up and tracing the outline of his goatee, I tell him, "I love you." "I love you too," he says before capturing my lips with his. When the song is over, we go back to the table for a break and everyone joins us. The DJ plays a country song and I try to get Vin out to dance, but he's not moving. Tim tries to get Amber up, but she doesn't want to either. "Well, what do you say about us showing these people how it's done?" Tim asks, offering his hand. "Sounds good to me." The song is "Ain't Going Down Till The Sun Comes Up" by Garth Brooks, and we do the whip. Everyone around us moves away and gives us room. We have a blast and dance really well together, never breaking contact. By the time the song is over, we are the only ones on the dance floor. The place erupts in applause and cheers. We make our way back to the table, with everyone clapping as we go by. "That was great! I didn't know you could do that," Vin remarks. "I used to spend every Friday and Saturday night at this huge dance club in Houston. It has different bars in it and one of them is Country and Western. One of the guys that I used to run around with was my dance partner." "Is that all he was?" Patting his cheek I reply, "Yes, dear, that's all he was. We were best friends and tried dating, but it didn't work, so we went back to being best friends again. It felt like I was kissing my brother." "Good for me, huh?" "Very good for you," I reply, giving him a quick kiss. "Any chance you might be ready to go?" he asks. "Vin, we've only been here an hour. What's the rush?" He gives me that sexy grin of his. "Umm, yeah, I'm ready to go. But hang on, I've gotta tell Amber and Tim we're leaving." "Hurry up." Walking over to Amber, I pull her aside. "Hey, we're heading out. But I wanted to let you know that tomorrow is Vin's birthday and I wanted to invite everyone to the hut for dinner tomorrow evening. He doesn't know so it'll be a surprise." "What time?" "I guess around 6:00. We'll be there a little after that." "Cool. I'll let everyone know." "Later." I walk back over to where Vin is standing and he takes my hand and leads me out of the club. Walking down the beach, he asks, "Given any more thought about pursuing your writing?" "Yeah I have. I think I'll make some calls when we get back home." "Really?" "Really. Why are you so adamant about this?" "I told you I've got my reasons." "Care to share them?" "Maybe later." "Care to share anything right now?" I ask. Pulling me to him, he answers, "Definitely," before kissing me. We finally make it back to the cottage and into the bedroom, where I kick my sandals off. He pulls his shirt off and when I try to do the same, he stops me. "Let me do that," he says, leaning down to kiss me. Running his hands up and down my arms, he grabs the hem of my shirt and slowly pulls it up and off of me. Lightly trailing his finger over the swell of my breasts, I close my eyes and enjoy the sensations. His hands move to my back, slightly running them down to the top of my skirt. Unbuttoning and unzipping it, he lets it fall to the floor. "Beautiful," he whispers, walking around so that he's behind me. He wraps his arms around my waist, and kisses my shoulder and neck. He runs a hand up and over my breasts, sliding a finger inside of my bra and over my nipple, making it harder than it was. His other hand runs down to the top of my lace thong, then inside and farther down, finding me extremely wet. He chuckles, sending shivers through my entire body. "Cold?" he asks, licking a trail from my shoulder up to my neck, then lightly touching my earlobe with his tongue. Covering the hand that's in my panties with my own, I grind against him. "What do you think?" "Mmmm, definitely not cold," he says, as he continues rubbing me, pressing a little harder when he rubs over my clit. A few minutes later, my breathing is erratic. "Please baby, not like this," I manage to say. "Why not?" "I want you inside of me when I cum." Slowly removing his hand, he brings his finger to his lips, tasting me, then leaning down and lightly licking my lips. I turn to face him and take the finger that he just tasted into my mouth, licking and sucking on it. A deep groan escapes his lips. "Gwen, you'd better stop that." "And what are you going to do if I don't?" "I won't make love to you." "Liar." Laughing, he says, "Well, it sounded good." He sits down on the bed and unlaces his hiking boots, then kicks them off. Reaching down, I start to unbutton his jeans. Slapping my hand away, he says, "Let me do that. You take too long." And before I know it, they land in a pile on the floor with his socks following. With him still sitting on the bed, I position myself between his legs, running my hands over his chest and shoulders. "God, you're gorgeous," I tell him. He reaches up and unhooks my bra, slowly sliding it off of my arms, kissing my breasts as they are uncovered. He reaches behind me and catching my thong with his fingers, slowly pulls it off of me. Standing, he pulls me against him, his hands roaming over my back and down to my ass. Taking his hand, I sit down and slide back on the bed, with Vin following, covering my body. Opening myself to him, he looks deeply into my eyes as he slides into me. "Amazing," he says. "What is?" "You. This. Us." And he starts to slowly move in and out of me. Linking our hands together, he raises them above my head, holding them there while he loves me. The only sounds you can hear are the waves crashing on the beach and the sounds of our loving. Sometime later, we finally give in and together find our ultimate release. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 16 Thursday morning found me awake before Vin. Today is his birthday and I couldn't wait to give him his present. Quietly slipping out of bed, I went to the closet and got his gift out of my bag. "What are you doing?" he asks, watching me tip-toe back to bed. "Nothing." "Liar," he says, turning on his side and propping the side of his head on his hand. "What's behind your back?" Crawling back into bed, I lean over and give him a kiss. "Happy birthday," I say, handing him the box. Sitting up in bed, he takes it from me. "Gwen, you didn't have to get me anything." "Oh, in that case, I'll take it back," I jokingly reply, trying to take the box from him. Not letting go, he says, "I don't think so," and he starts to unwrap it. Lifting the lid of the small box, he finds a sterling silver Black Onyx swirl ring. "Gwen, it's beautiful," he says, taking it out. "I hope it fits. I have a friend who's about your size and I asked him what size he wears, so that's what I bought. If it doesn't fit, I'll take it back and have them resize it." Sliding it on his ring finger, he comments, "Perfect fit." "Well, that's not the finger I thought you'd wear it on, but since it fits, I won't complain." Pulling me to him, he gives me a kiss. "Thank you." "You're welcome. I wasn't sure what to get you. I haven't seen you wear a ring like this one, so I decided that's what I was going to get. If you have one already, I can take it back and get something else." "You're not taking anything back. You gave me this ring and this is the one I'm going to wear." "I've got another present for you, but that comes later." "Why not give it to me now?" "I'll tell you something that you told me on the first night we were together - good things come to those who wait." "God, I can't believe you remembered that." "Oh, you'd be surprised at some of the things I remember." "Remind me to never say something that you can throw back at me twenty years down the road." "Mmmm, twenty years. I like the sound of that." "Oh, twenty years at least," he says, pulling me to him for a kiss. Getting out of bed and getting dressed, he says "I'm going to head up to the gym. Want to join me?" "Sure, just give me a few minutes to get ready." In less than five minutes, I'm ready to go. "Damn, that was fast." "I'm not one of those high-maintenance women. I don't have to put on makeup every time I walk out the door. Well, now that we're together, maybe I should." "You don't need makeup. You've got a complexion that women would kill for." "Flattery will get you everywhere," I say, reaching up to quickly kiss him. "Let's go." He takes my hand and we walk up to the gym where I watch him go through his routine. It's amazing watching him. Vin is a walking contradiction - all of that strength and yet he's so gentle. Before I get too turned on, I tell him that I'll be right back. About 15 minutes later, I make it back to the gym. Vin is almost finished with his workout and I lose myself in thought. "Gwen?" Snapping out of it, I answer, "What?" "Where were you at?" "Oh, if you only knew." Taking my hand, he leads me out of the gym and outside. "Wait, I'm hungry. Let's eat first then go back." "Cool," he says, leading the way to the dining room, where we enjoy a quiet breakfast. "So, what now?" "It's your birthday, so choose." "How about going back to bed?" "Tired?" "Not even close," he says, taking my hand and leading me out of the restaurant. We make our way back to the cottage and collapse on the bed, with him lying on top of me. "Now, care to tell me where you were while I was working out earlier?" "Some place like this," I say, pulling his shirt off of him. "Doing what?" "Something like this," I say, reaching up to lightly kiss his neck. "With who?" "Some guy I picked up at the gym." He started laughing. "What am I going to do with you?" Looking into his brown eyes, I smile and say, "Anything you'd like." He pulls me up off of the bed with him. "First I'm going to take a shower, then we'll continue this conversation." "I think I'll join you, if you don't mind." "Oh, I don't think that's going to be a problem," he says, pulling me into the bathroom with him. We undress and step into the shower to bathe. I'm rinsing the shampoo out of my hair when I feel Vin's lips on my breast and his arms go around me, pulling me to him. Then he leans down and kisses me, his hardness pressing against me. He picks me up and slides me onto him, with my back braced against the shower wall and his arms supporting me. Vin starts to move inside of me, bringing me closer and closer to the edge with each thrust. He moves over to the shower seat and sits down with me riding him. My breasts rub against his chest as we move together. It's too much for me and I cum, with him right after. Getting up, we rinse off and I sit back down to shave my legs. Vin takes the shaving cream and puts some between my legs and shaves me again. "Enjoying yourself?" I ask. "Oh yeah." "Guess what." "What?" he asks, concentrating on the job at hand. "You're next." He looks up at me. "I don't think so." "Come on Vin. You'll like it." "Maybe. Now be quiet so I can finish." A few minutes later, he stands me up and rinses me off, running his hand over me. "Mmmm, smooth. I like," he says, kissing my neck. "Ok then, my turn," I say, stepping out of the shower for a fresh razor. "Sit on the seat and I'll do the rest." Surprisingly, he does very well. Extremely turned on, but he lets me shave him. When I finish, he stands up and rinses off the excess shaving cream. We get out and get dressed, sitting in the swing to watching the people out surfing. "How about going snorkeling?" "Sure. All I need to do is to change into my suit and grab my camera." Vin pulls me up off of the swing and we go into the bedroom to change. A few minutes later, we walk down to the pier, and after getting our snorkeling gear, we join a small group that is waiting to go out to the reef. Vin has donned his baseball cap and glasses, hoping that people won't recognize him. We board the glass-bottom boat and make the short trip out to the reef. People wait their turn to jump off the back of the boat and into the water near the reef. Once in the water, we swim to the reef, watching the sea life below us. I've never seen so many different colored fish. The reef itself is beautiful, with different colored animals living on it. Small fish dart between the plants, seeking shelter from the intruders. The boat is scheduled to stay out for a couple of hours, which gives us plenty of time to tour the reef. We slowly make our way around the reef, with me snapping pictures with the underwater camera I brought. We decide to head back to the boat before everyone else does. Climbing the ladder, we drop our gear in the large barrel they have on the back of the boat. Vin grabs his hat and glasses before everyone gets on board, and we make our way to the front of the boat, staying out of everyone's way. A few people look our way, trying to figure out if he is who they think he is, but none approach us. We see a school of dolphin on our way back to the pier, jumping out of the water, twisting and flipping. Everyone grabs their cameras and starts snapping pictures. And me being the tourist, I follow right along with them. A few minutes later, the boat docks and we go to the hut for lunch. During lunch, I had this feeling that we were being watched, but I brushed it off. Vin was leaning across the table and kissing me, when we hear someone. "Well, well, well. Look at who we have here." He pulls back and looks over his shoulder to see who it is. I look up and remind myself to breathe. Vin stands up and shakes hands with him. "Mr. Johnson, what brings you to paradise?" "Time off for a much needed vacation. And who do we have here?" he says, looking down at me. "Dwayne, this is Gwen. Gwen, from the look on your face I can tell you know who this is." "I'm sorry. Nice to meet you," I say, shaking his hand. "Gwen, this is my wife, Dany. Dany, this is Gwen." We shake hands. "Nice to meet you. Would you like to join us?" I ask. "Thank you, but I think we'll pass. It looks like you two need some privacy," Dwayne (The Rock) says, laughing. Vin pats him on the back. "No, come on and join us." Checking with Dany, they agree. Vin moves to sit by me so Dany and Dwayne can sit across from us. Dwayne asks, "What brings you two to the island?" "Same thing, vacation." Vin answers. "When did you get here?" "Today, we just flew in. What about you?" "We flew in Saturday. Staying in the cottages?" "The only place to stay as far as I'm concerned." "I have to agree with that," Dany says. "Don't get me wrong, I love his fans. But enough is enough." I started laughing. "Luckily I haven't had to deal with many of them." "Just give it time." she says. The waiter comes and takes their order. "So Gwen, where are you from?" Dwayne asks. "Houston." He looks at Dany and grins. Then he turns to Vin. "Didn't I see a picture of you in the Houston paper a few months ago?" Vin puts his arm across the back of my chair and groans. "Yeah." "Getting careless in your old age?" Dwayne asks, laughing. "That was my fault. I wanted to surprise him and didn't expect someone to be snapping pictures." "So, when did you meet?" this from Dany. "A few months ago in New Orleans. He was stalking me." I answered. Vin started to laugh. "Yeah, you know me. When I see something I want, nothing is going to get in my way." To explain, I say, "Really, he was following me and my friends around. After a little while, he finally got up the courage to talk to me." Dwayne started laughing. "You, scared of a woman?" Vin laughed. "You should have seen her that night. I can't tell you how many men she put in their place. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get shot down like the others." The waiter arrives with the food and sets it on the table. The conversation jumps around from subject to subject, from what The Rock is currently working on to what Vin's schedule looks like, while me and Dany interject our comments when needed and calm the two of them down when they threaten to get out of control. When everyone is finished with their meal, we get up to leave. Vin and Dwayne are talking, and I pull Dany aside. "I want to invite you and Dwayne down here this evening around 6:00 for a surprise birthday party for Vin. We met some people earlier this week and they'll be here, so it's not a huge gathering." "I'll run it by Dwayne to see what he wants to do." "I understand." We walk over to where the guys are talking and say our good-byes. Taking my hand, we walk back to the cottage, and crawl in the hammock. "Ahhh, heaven. Fat and happy and time for a nap," I comment. "Sweetheart, there's not an ounce of fat on you, though I haven't figured out why with all of the food you eat." "Fast metabolism and trying to keep up with an 8 year old niece every other weekend." "Really?" "Yeah, my sister, Kay, has a daughter, and we're pretty tight. I get to spoil her rotten and then send her back home." "What do you two do together?" "We go to the zoo, ride four-wheelers, go horseback riding, things like that. She's my concert buddy too. We've seen *NSYNC every time they've come to Houston. Her mom said that there was no way she was going to listen to all of those girls screaming for hours at a time, so I get to take her. We have a blast." "That's cool that you two spend time together." "Yeah, since I don't have any of my own, she's the next best thing." "Do you want kids?" "I did when I was younger, but now, I don't know. What about you?" "Definitely." "Boy or girl?" "It doesn't matter. Probably a girl because I'd be too afraid that a boy would be too much like me when I was younger. And believe me, I wouldn't wish that hell on anyone." "But a girl could be just as bad. Don't forget, I was a tomboy growing up. I spent all of my free time either in a pasture riding horses or at the barn cleaning up. Some of the things that I did with my group of friends was not something you would expect a girl to do. To them, I was just one of the guys. Which is why I never got into the make-up and frilly dress thing. It's either jeans or shorts for me, and maybe a dress for special occasions." We lay there for awhile, and I fall asleep for a little while. Vin wakes me up and asks me what I want to do for dinner. "I don't know, maybe go to the hut for something, then come back here." "Well, it's 5:30, so we need to get up there before it gets too crowded." "Alright, I'm going to take a quick shower and get dressed," I say, getting up with Vin following. We shower and get ready, and head to the hut around 6:15. As soon as we walk up the stairs, a group of people yell "SURPRISE!" I start laughing and Vin looks down at me. "What in the hell have you gone and done?" "Thrown a surprise party for you. Happy birthday." We walk over to where everyone has gathered. The hotel has done a great job on such short notice. There are balloons and streamers in one corner where our tables are, with the cake is in the center of the tables. "How did you manage this?" "I have my ways." Leaning down, he gives me a kiss. "Thank you." When everyone is seated, the waiter brings the menus and takes our drink orders. A few minutes later, he's back with the drinks and takes our food order. Everyone is sitting around talking when Dwayne and Dany arrive. "Sorry we're late," he says to me. "That's ok, we just got here a few minutes ago. Grab a seat and I'll get the waiter back over here to take your order." Vin makes the introductions for everyone while I get the waiter. Once Dwayne and Dany have ordered, we sit around talking and have a blast. The waiter arrives with our food, and everyone enjoys themselves. Amber asks if we want to go to the club later, and we all agree. After we finish eating, I say, "Ok birthday boy, make a wish and blow out the candles." "Gwen," he says with a warning in his voice. "Don't look at me like that. Just do it." He stands there for a little bit thinking, then he leans down and blows out the candles. Everyone cheers and claps, and he cuts the cake, serving pieces to everyone except for himself. "Aren't you going to have a piece?" "Gwen, I don't eat cake." "Come on, it's your birthday for heaven's sake. Just one bite?" "Ok." I pinch off a small piece from mine and offer it to him. He leans down and I feed it to him. "Mmmm, not too bad," he says, pinching off another piece. "Hey, you've got an entire cake. Leave my piece alone." "Nah, that's enough. How did you manage all of this?" "Remember when you were working out this morning and I disappeared for a little while? I talked to the manager and told him it was your birthday, and everything took off from there. I even met with the pastry chef to decide what kind of cake to have. I never knew things like that happen." "See, being famous has some good points, right?" "Yep." "You didn't have to do this." "I know, but I wanted to do something special for you like you did for my birthday." "Thank you," he says leaning down to kiss me. Everyone finishes their cake and the waiter boxes up what's left so we can take it back to the cottage before we head to the club. We've decided to go to one at another hotel, so we head out after dropping off the cake. Arriving at the club, we find some empty tables and pull them together. The waitress takes our drink orders and we head out to the dance floor where we spend most of the night. Vin had wandered over to the DJ to make a request, and when he was coming back, a girl stopped and talked to him. He shook his head and pointed to me, saying something. She got pissed, flipped me off, and stormed out. He started laughing. When he got back to me, I asked, "What was that all about?" "She asked me to dance." "And?" "I told her no thanks and that I was here with you." "So she flipped me off?" "Yep." Dany leans over to me. "Welcome to my world." We go back out onto the dance floor and finish out the night. On the way back to the cottage, I get a splitting headache, so I take some Advil and turn in for the night. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 17 Vin got up early and went to the gym for his daily workout while I stayed in bed. When he gets back, he finds me in the bathroom throwing up. The headache I went to bed with turned into a bad migraine. "Gwen, what's wrong?" he says, coming over to me. "Oh, this is just great. This is not something I wanted you to see." "Don't worry about that. What's wrong?" "I've got a migraine headache and sometimes they make me sick," I say, throwing up again. Vin grabs a washcloth and soaks it with cool water, putting it on the back of my neck. "Thanks. There should be a syringe in my makeup bag. Will you please get it for me?" Getting up, he walks to the bathroom counter and looks in my bag. "Is it white?" "Yeah. It says Imatrex on it." He brings it over and I manage to sit back against the wall. "What are you going to do?" "Give myself an injection of medicine. It'll make me go to sleep and my headache will go away." "Do I need to do anything?" "Just stay here with me." He sits down on the floor with me while I inject the medicine into my arm. "I don't know how in the world you can do that to yourself." "Honestly, me neither considering the fact that I hate needles. But, it makes my headaches go away, so I'm willing to put up with a little pain instead of a lot." I recap it and he puts it back in my bag. I stand up and he asks, "What do you think you're doing?" "Going to sit in the shower for a little while. Sometimes that helps too." "I need to shower so I'll get in there with you," he says, helping me to the seat and turning on the water. He quickly undresses and steps in to bathe, then holds me while the water runs over us. "I didn't know you had migraines." "I do, but most of the time they don't make me sick. Every now and then I have a pretty bad one, like this. All I do is give myself a shot and go back to bed. A few hours later I wake up and feel great." I slide down the wall and sit in the bottom of the shower, while Vin holds me. We stay there for a little while, then get out. Vin dries me off and I pull on a pair of shorts and shirt and then crawl back in bed. "Do you need anything?" he asks. "Can you pull the curtains together? I need it dark in here." He walks over and pulls them closed, and then joins me on the bed, pulling me into his arms. "Is this ok?" he asks. "Yeah, but you don't have to stay with me." "Yes I do. It's my job to take care of you." "Thank you," I say, before falling asleep. It's noon when I finally wake up. Vin is sitting on the porch and I join him. "Hey," I say, sitting on the steps next to him. "Feel better?" "My headache is gone, but I'm still not feeling that great." "How about we stay here for the day? Grab your book and we'll become part of the hammock." "You don't mind?" "No. If you're not feeling well, we'll just be lazier than usual today." "You're so good to me. But, I need to eat something." "I'll call room service. What do you want?" "A sandwich sounds good." "Consider it done," he says, walking into the cottage and calling it in. "Should be here in about 30 minutes," he says, walking back out. "Thank you," I say as he sits down beside me. We sit on the porch for a little while, enjoying the sounds of the wind and the surf. "I can't believe we're leaving tomorrow," I say. Putting his arm around me, he says, "We'll be back." "You're spoiling me, you know that?" "I'm trying. But I'm also making up for having to be gone in a few months while filming." "You're doing a good job," I say, giving him a quick kiss. About that time, lunch arrives and we eat on the porch. When we're finished, I grab my book and we lay in the hammock, enjoying the afternoon. "What are you reading?" "Valhalla Rising by Clive Cussler." "Dirk Pitt, right?" "Yeah, I like all of his stories. They take you all over the world." "I can take you all over the world." "I don't have that much vacation time." "We don't have to do it all at once. Maybe once or twice a year, something like that. Maybe more if you pursue your writing." "We'll see," I say, settling back into the story. A few hours later, we notice the sky getting darker and watched the lightening dance across the clouds. "You know, I think one of my favorite things growing up in the country was watching a storm come in, and all of the cow birds," "Cow birds?" Vin asks. "That's what we call the white birds that stayed around the cows. Anyway, the white birds against the dark sky was beautiful. And the lightening, I love to watch lightening storms, the way it jumps from cloud to cloud, like it's reaching out." "Gwen, you are constantly amazing me. Most people would say that storms are ugly, but you look at everything around it and can turn it into something beautiful." "That's me, a romantic at heart." The wind picked up and it started to rain. Not a light shower, but a bad thunderstorm. We ran into the cottage and closed the windows, but left the patio doors open while we sat on the porch and watched it rain. It rained like that for a couple of hours and then it stopped, but it looked like it could start up again at any time. Deciding that we'd better eat while we can, we make our way to the hut for dinner. It starts to rain while we are walking back to the cabin and we take our time, walking in the rain. When we get back, we are totally drenched. I walk into the bathroom to get us some towels and when I come back out, he's getting undressed. "You need to get out of those wet clothes and dry off," he says. "No problem," I say, starting to undress. He pulls me to him, rubbing my breasts against his chest. He lowers his lips to my ear. "Mmmm, you feel good." Running my hands down his back, I say, "You don't feel too bad yourself." He leads me into the kitchen area and takes what's left of his birthday cake out of the refrigerator. "Dessert?" I ask. He grins, "Something like that." He picks me up and sets me on the table. Taking some of the frosting on his finger, he draws circles around my nipples. Scooping up a little more, he runs his finger down my stomach and lower. "I thought you didn't like cake." "This is an exception," he says, before slowly licking the frosting off of my breasts. I lean back as he starts licking the trail down my stomach. He licks lower and when his tongue comes into contact with my clit, I suck in a deep breath. "You ok?" "Couldn't be better." And he gets back to work. First lightly licking the lips, then between. Taking my sensitive nub in his mouth, he flicks his tongue back and forth over it, bringing me up off of the table. Looking up at me, he asks, "Going somewhere?" Before I can answer, he's licking me again. I lie back on the table and enjoy the sensations that his mouth is creating. Before long, my breathing becomes erratic. When I tell him that I'm going to cum, he stops and pulls my legs towards him so that I'm on the edge of the table and he enters me, causing me to climax. "Well, that should take care of you for the next few minutes," he says, grinning down at me. "Don't count on it." He picks me up and carries me into the living room and sits down on the couch. I am so hot and wet that it won't take much to send me over the edge again. He latches onto one breast, nibbling and sucking on it, while squeezing the other. Holding onto the back of the couch, I used it for leverage as I ride him. Vin reaches between us and plays with my clit, sending me over the edge. My cunt spasms around his cock and he finally allows himself to cum. "I love you," I say, looking into those beautiful brown eyes. "I love you too," he says, pulling my mouth down to meet his. We got up and took a shower, then crawled into bed. While we lay there talking, I asked him, "What did you wish for when you blew out your candles last night?" "I can't tell you because then it won't come true." "Like you believe in that stuff." "Do you?" "Wishing for something to happen? Not really. I think fate controls us all." "Was it fate that brought us together in New Orleans?" "I think everything happens for a reason, whether it's good or bad." Leaning down to kiss me, he says, "Well, so far so good. Get some sleep. We head home tomorrow." "Back to the real world. I'm going to hate going in to work Monday. I can only imagine the mess that's waiting for me." "Don't worry about it right now. Get some sleep." "Night." "Goodnight." Diesel Chronicles Ch. 18 Saturday morning we get up and pack to go home. I'm sitting on the steps of the porch when Vin comes out. "Ready to go?" "Yeah. I'm going to miss this." "Did you enjoy your trip?" he asks, sitting down beside me. "I enjoy spending time with you, no matter where we are." We sit there for a while, watching the people as they pass by. Looking at his watch, he says, "Well, we need to call the front desk to let them know we're ready to check out. We need to be at the airport to meet Tony around noon." About 15 minutes later, a bellboy comes down to the cottage to pick us up. We check out of the hotel and catch one of the hotel vans making their hourly trip to the airport. Tony is ready and waiting. "The plane is all set. Wow, Gwen. Been working on your tan this week?" Vin gives him a look and I start laughing. "Yep. Much better than lying in a tanning bed." We board the plane and take off for home. "When are you going back to LA?" "After we drop you off. I've got a meeting Monday morning and I need to get some things done tomorrow for it." "Cool," I say, pulling my book out and reading for the rest of the trip home. When we land, Vin carries my bag to the truck. He picks up my left hand and kisses my ring. "Never forget that I love you." I do the same to the ring I gave him. "That goes for me too." "I'll talk to you in a couple of days," he says, leaning down to kiss me. "Be careful driving home." "I will. Tell Tony that if anything happens to you, I'm coming after him." Vin starts laughing. "I will." I watch as the plane takes off and heads towards LA, then drive home to find Melkor waiting on me. As soon as I open the door, he's all around my legs. Closing the door, I pick him up and sit on the couch with him for a little while. "Well, boy. It's just you and me for awhile," I say while scratching under his chin. A little while later, I get up to unpack and do a load of laundry, then call Jennifer to let her know that I was back. We talked for a little while, then I decided to go to bed early. Melkor enjoyed having his side of the bed back, but I didn't sleep well because Vin wasn't with me. Funny how you get used to things like that in such a short time. I got up Sunday morning and spent the day at my sister’s house, playing with my niece. We made a picnic lunch and then hopped on the four-wheelers and rode out to their lake and played there all afternoon. They have an old tire swing tied to a huge oak tree limb, and we would swing out over the water and let go, seeing who could make the biggest splash. Then we'd get in the inner-tubes and float around the lake, watching the fish swim below us. It reminded me of the lake at Vin's cabin in Colorado, just not quite as cold. Before leaving, I talked to my sister and my niece, Mandy, was going to spend the next weekend with me. When I got home, I took a shower and collapsed on the bed. The next thing I know, my alarm is going off Monday morning for work. Well, back to reality now. Things weren't too bad when I got to the office. A couple of minor problems came up with the projects last week, but my assistant took care of them. I was looking for something in my purse when I came across the name of the publisher Vin had given me to contact. Luckily she was going to be in town at the end of this week, so we could meet then. The week flew by. I stayed busy with the new projects I was working on, and Friday finally arrived. I met with the publisher and after a lengthy conversation, I finally made my decision that this is something that I really want to do. But I'm not quitting my job. I have to have a steady income, but this just moves my writing to the front of the line for outside activities. We're going to start of slow, and when I feel comfortable with it, then pursue it full time. The following week, the publishing contract arrived and I called a lawyer friend of mine to see if she would look it over. It all looks good and she tells me to go for it. I call Vin and give him the news. "So, you're going to be a writer?" "Well, I wouldn't go that far." "Why not? That's what you're going to be doing." "In my spare time. Vin, I can't quit my job just because this happened. I have to support myself and the money I'm going to make right now won't pay for everything. I have to do this my way. One small step at a time." "But, it's a step in the right direction." "We'll see." "What if I hired you to work for me?" "Oh, that'd look great. Right now I'm what, your lover? If I went to work for you and you paid me, can you imagine what people would say about that?" "I don't care. You're good." I started laughing. "Good at what?" "Everything." "Good answer." We talk for a little while more, then hang up. The following day I send the contract back to the publisher. When things are meant to be, they just fall into place. I spend the days working and the evenings writing. Vin calls every few days to check on me, make sure that I'm doing ok and to see if I need anything. The weekend comes and Mandy, my niece, comes to stay with me. We have a blast together. Her favorite band, *NSYNC, is in town for a concert Friday night, so I take her. She is so much fun to have around. Saturday we get up and spend the day at my parent’s house riding horses. Sunday comes and we sleep late, then get up and I take her home. Vin calls that night and I give him a run-down of what we've been doing. "Do you have any energy left?" he asks. "Not much. Probably enough to drag myself into a hot bath." "Ok, I didn't need to know that. Mental picture and all." "Sorry." "Do you have any plans for weekend after next?" "Nothing but writing. Why?" "I may fly down and spend the weekend." "That's fine with me." "I'll let you know for sure when it gets closer." "Ok." We finish the conversation and hang up. After taking a hot bath, I crawl into bed and fall asleep. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 19 Monday morning I woke up to the sound of rain. Turning to the Weather Channel, it looks like rain for the next few days. Dragging myself out of bed, I take a shower and get ready for work. Traffic is horrible because of the rain. Luckily the day goes by with no problems. Heading to work Tuesday, the traffic has finally made it back up to the posted speed limit after passing an accident. All of a sudden, the car in the lane to my right swerves into my lane, and to avoid hitting it, I swerve to the left. The last thing I remember seeing was the median going by me upside down. Then everything went black. "Hello?" "Vin, this is Jennifer. I know it's early but Gwen's been in an accident." Sitting up in bed, he asks, "What happened?" "She was driving to work when someone cut into the lane ahead of her, and instead of hitting them, she swerved and ended up flipping her truck." Fear gripped him. "Oh my God. Is she alright?" "She's unconscious. The doctor said that there may be some swelling around her brain and that's why she's not responding." "What hospital?" "Methodist here in Houston. She's in ICU." "I'll be there as soon as I can." Vin hangs up the phone and immediately calls Tony. "Tony, this is Vin. Gwen's been in an accident and I need to get to Houston. How long will it take you to make all of the arrangements?" "Give me 15 minutes. I'll meet you at the hangar." Getting out of bed, Vin throws some clothes in a bag. He has no idea if he has everything he needs. If not, he'll get it when he gets into town. Grabbing his laptop, he gets in his Escalade and drives to the airport. It's miracle that he didn't get into a wreck himself. Arriving at the hangar, he finds that Tony has made all of the arrangements and they are ready to take off. "Do whatever you can to make up time." he tells Tony. "I'll do my best." Using his cell phone, he calls Mike and gives him the news. "I don't know when I'll be back. If you need anything, call and leave a message on my voice mail." "Vin, I'm sorry about Gwen. Keep me posted." "I will." Sitting in the darkened cabin, he finally has time to process everything. Gwen's been in an accident and has not regained consciousness. Millions of questions run through his mind. He has never been this scared in his entire life. He silently curses me for swerving instead of hitting the idiot, but then if I had done that, what would the end result be? He curses God for bringing me into is life and then trying to take me away from him. He curses himself for not being there. His emotions are like a tennis match, bouncing back and forth between fear and anger. Silent tears begin to fall. The flight seemed like it would never end. He decided that he'd clean up a little, considering the fact that he would be meeting my family for the first time. Walking into the small bathroom, he grabs his shaving cream and razor and cleans up, then went out and collapsed on the couch again. Finally, when he thought he'd go insane, Tony let him know that they were approaching the airport. "I've called ahead and made arrangements for a cab. It should be at the hangar when we arrive." "Thanks Tony." A few minutes later, they land and true to his word, a cab is waiting to take Vin to the hospital. "Stay here. I'll call you when I know something." he tells Tony as he exits the plane. Giving the driver instructions to take him to Methodist, he sits back and watches the city go by. About 20 minutes later, they pull up at the hospital, where Vin makes his way up to the ICU. Jennifer has been watching the elevators and sees him. Walking up to him, she gives him a hug. "There's been no change since I called you. They've taken her upstairs for an MRI and some other tests to see if they can tell what’s going on." They walk back to the waiting area where several people have gathered. Jennifer introduces him to my parents and sister. This is not the way I had intended on everyone meeting, but things don't always go as planned. I had told my family about him, and though they were skeptical at first, now seeing him here makes them realize that this is not just a passing thing. Jennifer and Vin are talking. "I talked to the nurses and told them that you'd be coming and that you're presence here does not need to be public knowledge. They understand." "Thanks Jennifer. I'm glad you're here." "I wouldn't be anywhere else. She has taken care of me more times than I want to admit." Digging in her pocket, she pulls out my jewelry. "They took her jewelry off of her when she came in." Handing it to him, she says, "I'm sure that she would want you to hold on to it for her." Vin holds up the ring he gave me. "Funny that one small piece of gold can mean so much. You know, she cried when I gave this to her." "I know, she told me about it." Seeing the worry on his face, she assures him, "Vin, she's going to be ok." "God I hope so." A little while later, the doctor comes out to let them know that I was back from the tests. "I'll have the results back in a little while." "Can I see her?" Vin asked the doctor. "And who are you, besides the obvious?" "I'm her fiancé," Vin replies, with a grin. "Oh, is that so? Well, in that case, yes you can see her, but I need to warn you that she's pretty banged up." "Thanks," Vin replies, and follows the doctor over to my bed. He was not prepared for what he saw. I had cuts and bruises on my face and my left arm was bandaged up. "The good news is that there are no broken bones. We'll have to see what the tests show about the swelling. I'll be back in an hour or so to check on her." Vin shakes his hand. "Thank you for everything you've done." "We're not out of the woods yet. I'll be back in a little while." Leaning down to kiss my forehead, Vin says, "Hey sweetheart. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." He settles down in the chair, holding my hand. The nurse comes by to take my vitals and smiles when she sees Vin. "She's holding her own. Her vital signs are normal." "What happened to her arm?" "Cuts from the glass. You know, she's a very lucky woman. If she had been driving a car instead of a truck, things would be much worse. I'll be back in a little while." He sits with me for awhile, until my sister, Kay, comes in. "Why don't you go get some coffee and something to eat. One of us will sit with her." "I don't want to leave her. What if she wakes up?" "Vin, you need to eat something or you won't be worth anything if she does." Knowing she's right, he reluctantly gives up his place. Kissing me again, he says, "I'll be right back," and he heads out to find Jennifer so they can go to the cafeteria. The doctor reviews the tests and waits until everyone is back together to give them the news. "The swelling is not as bad as we had originally thought and there is no brain damage. The reason for her being unconscious right now is because her body is trying to heal. It may be awhile before she wakes up, but all signs point to the fact that she will." Everyone is relieved, but none more than Vin. He comes back into the curtained area and takes up his place again. Hours pass and still no change. Everyone takes turns sitting with me, and they practically have to drag Vin out when his turn is over. Deciding to take a break, everyone except for Jennifer and Vin leave. Jennifer has everyone's phone number so she can call if there's a change. Vin calls Tony and gives him the news, telling him to fly back to LA and he'll call when he's ready to come home. Calling Mike, he gives him the update. Hours pass with them taking turns sitting and talking to me, even though I couldn't answer. Vin was sitting with me, holding my hand, when it moved a little. He called the nurse over and explained what had happened, and she called the doctor. He came down and gave me a quick check-up, and told them that it was a good sign and that I was coming out of it. Vin never left my side after that, and Jennifer understood. Later that evening, I felt something wet on my hand. Fighting my way through the darkness, I slowly opened my eyes and looked down to see what was going on. Vin was holding it and he was crying. Unable to say anything, I gently squeezed his hand. He looked up and when our eyes met, I have never felt more loved than in that moment. "Hang on baby, I need to get the nurse," he says, making his way down to the nurses station. He comes back with one of the nurses, who checks my vitals and goes to call the doctor. Both Jennifer and Vin are by my bed when the doctor comes in. He checks everything and tells them that everything is fine, and now they can move me to my own room soon. They want me to stay for a few days for observation. "Why am I in a hospital and why do I feel like someone beat the shit out of me?" Vin is holding my hand and can't speak. Jennifer recounts what had happened earlier that morning on the way to work. "I remember the jackass who swerved into my lane and I swerved so I wouldn't hit him. Then everything went black. Oh man, my truck. What happened to my truck?" That's when Vin finally said something. "Your truck? That's all you're worried about is your truck? Damn it Gwen, I almost lost you and you're worried about a fucking truck. Your truck can be replaced but you can't." He is close to losing it. Jennifer is trying to get him under control. "Vin, calm down. She's going to be fine. You can yell at her all you want to later, but right now, shut the hell up!" The nurse comes to let us know that they've got a room ready upstairs for me and that someone will be coming by in a few minutes to move me. Leaning over and giving me a light kiss on the cheek, he says, "I'm sorry." "Don't worry about it." "I love you." "I love you too." The orderlies came in, packed up all of my things and wheeled me down the hall to the elevator, with Vin and Jennifer following. We went up a few floors and they took me to my room. Vin puts his things down while Jennifer starts making phone calls to let everyone know that I'm doing ok and that they've moved me. Everyone said that they would come by the next day. "Why don't you go home and get some sleep. I'll stay with her." Vin tells Jennifer. "Thanks." Walking over to the bed, she leans down and gives me a hug. "I'm glad that you're doing better. Now I can go home and collapse." Vin walks over and gives her a hug. "Thank you for everything you've done. She's lucky to have you." "Take care of her. I'll see you tomorrow." And with that Jennifer left. He walks over to the bed and takes my hand, pressing a kiss to it. He's shaking. "Vin, what's wrong?" "I thought I'd lost you. When Jennifer called me this morning and told me what had happened, my heart feel like it had been ripped from my chest. I've never felt like this about anyone before and it scared the living hell out of me to think that I'd never be able to hold you again, to love you. I wish that you had come back to LA with me after Cozumel, but I was too afraid to ask. I thought it was too soon, but looking back, it's what I should have done." "Hind sight is always 20/20. Nobody can predict the future, you know that." "Yeah, but if I had been here, or you would have left a few minutes earlier or later, this wouldn't have happened." "Vin, I risk my life everyday by getting on that freeway. And up until now, I had pretty good luck. But I can't stop just because of one wreck. I live and work in a huge city that requires taking that risk day in and day out. It's part of life." "But if you would have been with me, it wouldn't have happened." "You don't know that. I could have been driving down the freeway in LA and the same thing could have happened." "Yeah, but," I cut him off. "Vin, stop making yourself feel worse than you already do. What's done is done. All we can do now is go from here." "Marry me." "What?" "Marry me. That way you can come to LA with me and we'll be together. Gwen, leaving you after Cozumel was the hardest thing I've ever had to do." "Can we please talk about this tomorrow? I'm tired and I have a massive headache." "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up." "Well, if it's any consolation, I hated to see you leave too." He leans up and kisses my lips. "Get some sleep. I'll be right here if you need anything." The next morning, my parents came to the hospital. Vin left and I didn't see him until after lunch. He said that he had some errands to run. Jennifer and Kay came by at lunch to see how things were going. When Vin finally made it back to the hospital, he handed me a set of keys. "What are these for? My truck is totaled." "No," he says, handing the digital camera to me. "Here's the truck that's totaled. There's a new one in the parking lot." Picking up the camera, I flip through the pictures. Vin had gone and taken pictures of my truck. The passenger side of the cab was totally crushed, and the driver's side roof was bashed in pretty bad, but somehow I survived. "How in the world did I manage to have just a few cuts and my truck looks like that?" "By all accounts, you should not be lying here right now. You must have had your guardian angel with you that morning." "Thank God. But what did you say about a new one?" "That's what took me so long to get back. While I was taking the pictures, I noticed the dealership tag on the back. I went and talked to your salesman, and he looked up the information on your truck. I told him I wanted one exactly like it, so he did some checking and found that he had one on the lot. So I bought it." "You bought it? Just like that." "Well, after a couple of phone calls to arrange the funds, but yeah, you've got a new truck." "No, you've got a new truck." Handing the papers to me, he says, “It's titled in your name, Gwen. Which means that you own the truck." "Yeah, and I owe you a chunk of money now." Leaning down to me, he quietly says, "We'll discuss the terms of payment later," and gives me a quick kiss. The doctor came in and said that everything looked good, so they were going to take out the IV line. Later that evening, everyone had gone home and Sue, my boss from work came by. "So, I finally get to meet the elusive Mr. Diesel." They shake hands as I introduce them. Vin excuses himself and goes down to the cafeteria. "Well, kiddo, you don't look too bad. You know there's no rush for you to come back to work. I've got everything covered for you to be out for a couple of weeks. How is Vin holding up?" "Putting on a very brave front now, but he fell apart last night. And if memory serves me correctly, I think he asked me to marry him." "And?" "I told him we'd talk about it today." "And have you?" "Not yet. I'm scared though. I would be leaving a wonderful job and going someplace where I don't know anyone and on top of that, I wouldn't have a job." "I think I can help you out with the latter." "How?" "Have you forgotten that we have a branch office in LA? Let me make some calls to see if they might have a place for you there. That way you’ll keep your benefits and not have to start over.” "I don't know. It's all going so fast. It was only a few weeks ago that he told me that he loves me, and now, he wants to get married." "Sometimes it takes something like this to make a person reevaluate their priorities. Maybe that's his way of coming to terms with his feelings. Gwen, he loves you and you know it. He came down here because of his love for you. Let me see what I can do about the job. Would that help you make your decision?" "Honestly, no. I've already made my decision, but I don't want to seem like a burden. You know me, Ms. Independent." "My God, woman. He's going to be your husband. Why don't you give up some of that control and let him take care of you?" "Old habits are hard to break." Vin walks in. "What habits?" I started laughing. "The ones that the nuns wear." "Well, I can see you're feeling much better," he says, dropping a kiss on my lips. "Alright guys, I'm outta here. Gwen, I'll call you tomorrow. Vin, nice to finally meet you. Take care of her." "I will," he says as she walks out. He comes over and sits on the end of the bed. "So, what were you talking about before I came in?" "Girl talk." "Which translates into men, right?" "Yep. Can you do me a favor?" "Yeah." "I want to take a shower but I need help. I can't get this bandage wet," I comment, holding up my left arm. "No problem. I'll go start the shower while you get your things." Moving around is not too bad. I'm still sore, but that will pass in time. I join Vin in the bathroom and he takes the gown off of me. "Step in and I'll wash you." “Think you can behave?” “I’m not making any promises, but I’ll try,” he says, grinning. Soaping up the washcloth, he runs it all over my body and then I rinse off and wet my hair. He rubs the shampoo into it and then helps me to rinse it out. Stepping back out of the shower, he dries my body with a towel. I put on a pair of shorts and t-shirt and Vin gently pulls me to him. This is the first time that he's been able to hold me since the accident. "I love you so much," he whispers into my ear. "Have you thought about what we talked about last night?" Pulling away from him, I go sit on the bed, with him sitting beside me. "Yes I have. But there are some things that we need to discuss." "What?" "First of all, I want you to understand something. I am a very independent woman and giving up that independence to be with you is very scary." "Gwen, I don't want you to change. I'm not going to take over your life. I just want us to be together." "But I have been alone for so long that it's going to take some time to adjust to having someone in my life full time." "Well, at least we agree on that point. What's next?" "If I move, I won't have a job. Well, Sue is checking on that. We have a branch office in LA and she’s going to make some calls, so we should know something tomorrow." "I can take care of you, you know that." "But I need this, Vin. I don't want to sit around all day while you're out doing your thing." "So don’t work and pursue your writing full time. That way you can stay home or travel with me. Any other points you'd care to argue?" "Hmmm, let me think. Oh yeah, I get the left side of the bed." "You can have any part of the bed as long as your answer is yes." "Yes," I say, smiling. "Yes," he repeats. "You said yes. You'll marry me?" "It looks that way." He grabs me and hugs me. Quickly letting go, he asks, "Did I hurt you?" "No, I'm still a little sore, but it's not too bad." Pulling my jewelry out of his pocket, he says, “Let me do this the right way.” He slides the ring on my finger and asks, “Gwen Matthews, will you marry me?” I look into those dark eyes of his and answer, “Yes, Mark Vincent, I will marry you.” "I love you more than you'll ever know," he says, leaning down to kiss me. He curls up in the bed next to me and we fall asleep, only to wake up a few hours later so the nurse can check my vital signs. "I'll be glad to get home so we can get a full nights sleep," he comments. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 20 The next day, Sue calls with good news. "I talked to my friend at the LA office and after a lengthy conversation, she’s got something for you. She wants to meet with you when you’re ready.” "Thank you, Sue. Thanks for everything." "Don't mention it. You are a very special person to me, and I want to make sure that you're taken care of. Not that Vin won't do a good job, but at least I can help a little." I write down the manager’s name and number and promise to call her in the next few days. The doctor comes by for one last check-up and says that I can go home that day, but to take it easy for a week or so. A few hours later, Vin drives me home. He wasn't kidding. My new truck is exactly like the other one, same color and everything. It's nice to be back home. Melkor jumps in my lap when I sit on the couch, purring when I pet him. Vin takes our bags to the bedroom and joins me on the couch. "Are you hungry? I can fix something to eat." "Not right now. I just want to sit here and enjoy being home." "Home," he says, pulling me into his lap. "That sounds good. Am I hurting you?" "I'm fine." Lowering his lips to mine, he gives me a long, slow kiss. "So, now that I've asked and you've accepted, when do you want to get married?" he asks. “I don’t know. You decide.” "Two weeks from Friday." "That fast?" I ask. "The sooner the better." "Are you sure?" "Absolutely. What kind of ceremony would you like?" "Something small and intimate, just us and a few friends." "Where?" "Cozumel. On the beach at sunset." "Been giving this some thought, then?" "I decided while we were there a few weeks ago that's where I wanted to get married." "Did you have somebody special picked out?" "Yeah, but he just didn't know it yet." "Oh, I think he did. He was just too scared to press the issue. Think you can get everything done in two weeks?" "Like what?" "I'll make the arrangements with the hotel and you do whatever it is you need to do. Dress, flowers, whatever. Do you want the cottage again or stay at the hotel?" "Cottage. I think I'll be able to pull everything together by then. Who do you want to invite?" "I was thinking about inviting Mike and his girlfriend, Karen. What about you?" "Jennifer and her boyfriend, Matt." "Well, that's settled. We'll fly down on Friday morning, two weeks from now, have the ceremony at sunset, and play the rest of the weekend. We need to come back Sunday because I’ve got some appointments that week.” "What about my apartment? My lease is up in two months." "We'll leave everything here that you don't need and come back for it later, after we buy a new house." "A new house? When did you decide to buy a new house?" "I've been thinking about a lot of things. I knew that if we got married we'd have to buy another one. The one I have right now is fine for me, but I want to start things off right. When we get back to LA in a few weeks, we'll start looking. Now that we know when and where the wedding is, I need to call Mike and you need to call Jennifer. I'll have Tony fly Mike, Karen and myself down on Thursday, and we can all leave Friday morning.” "When are you planning to go back? "I'll go back next week sometime. I've got some things to take care of before you get there." “I think I'll call Jennifer and then I'm going to lie down for a little while." "Ok, I'll let you get some rest." Picking up the phone in the bedroom, I call Jennifer and give her the good news. She is thrilled. "How are you doing?" "Physically and mentally drained. Vin is like a whirlwind. Once he makes his mind up about something, he won't stop until it's finished. We made all the decision about the wedding in less than five minutes." "Sounds like you two knew what you wanted to begin with." "Yeah, we did. Now we need to go shopping. I figured we'd do it next week after Vin leaves." "Oh, we're going to have a blast on that shopping trip." "You know it. Hey, do you think Matt would mind taking pictures?" "I’ll ask him, but I don't think he'll mind." "Cool. Let me know what he says. I'm going to take a nap now so I'll call you tomorrow. And Jennifer, thanks for everything." "You're welcome. Talk to you soon." I hang up the phone and fall asleep in no time. A few hours later, I wake up and find Vin in the kitchen. "Mmmm, something smells good," I say, wrapping my arms around his waist. "Spaghetti sauce." he replies. "My secret recipe. How are you feeling?" "A little better. What have you been doing while I was asleep?" "I got a little bit of work done, then decided to make us dinner. I'm surprised to find real food here." "Me too. Oh, I'll bet my mom went grocery shopping and left them while we were still at the hospital. Speaking of, I need to tell my parents our plans. How about we go out to the ranch this weekend and tell them?" “Sounds good to me.” “I’ll give Mom a call later. Thank you for everything you've done, for everything you're doing." "Don't thank me. It's my job to take care of you." "Just the same, thank you," I say, reaching up to kiss him. "Where did you learn to cook?" "One of the hazards of being a bachelor. If I wanted to eat, I had to cook." "I figured you ate out all the time." "No, when I'm at home, I cook. Looks like it's almost ready." We make our plates and sit down to eat. "My compliments to the chef. This is wonderful." "Thanks." After dinner, Vin parks me on the couch while he cleans the kitchen and starts the dishwasher. He joins me and Melkor when he's finished. The phone rings and Vin answers. "It's for you. It's a little girl." "Must be my niece, Mandy." "Hello." "Aunt Gwen? How are you feeling?" "I'm fine sweetie." "Can we come over and see you now that you're home?" "Yeah, I'd like that." "Cool. Let me tell mom." Kay gets on the phone. "She's been asking about you since the accident and I told her that we'd come see you when you got home. Is that ok?" "Sure. I'm actually feeling a little better now." "Ok, we'll see you in a little bit." "Later." Hanging up the phone, I tell Vin, "Well, you're in for it now. Kay is on her way over with my niece." "Are you sure you're up to it?" "Yeah. And since I'll be leaving in a few weeks, I won't see her for awhile." "They can come visit." "I know, but I'm used to seeing them all the time. It's going to be a big adjustment for me, but I'll be ok. I'll have something better to occupy my time," I say, giving him a kiss. About that time, the doorbell rings and I get up to answer it. "Aunt Gwen!" Mandy says, wrapping herself around me. "Hey Mandy," I say, hugging her back. "We were running errands when she got the idea to call. That's why it didn't take long to get here," my sister explains. Mandy walks into the apartment looking for Melkor, and when she sees him, he's sitting in Vin's lap. Her eyes are huge. "Aunt Gwen, you know who he looks like? That guy on the racing movie you always watch." I blush and Vin starts laughing. Walking over to the couch, I sit down and pull her into my lap. "Can you keep a secret?" She shakes her head. "That's exactly who his is." She looks at me like I'm crazy. "No it's not." Looking at Vin, "Can you help me out here?" "No, I think you're doing a bang-up job with this." Mandy's eyes widen when she recognizes his voice. "It is him! Aunt Gwen, what's he doing here?" "He came to take care of me after the accident." "How do you know someone from the movie?" "We met while we were on a trip. Remember when I went somewhere for my birthday and I brought you the shirt with the alligators on it? That's when we met." "Oh, cool." "Vin, meet my niece, Mandy. Mandy, this is Vin." "Hi Mandy. Your Aunt Gwen has told me so much about you." "I didn't know she had a boyfriend. Wait until everyone at school hears this! They're not going to believe it." Kay is doing everything she can to hold in her laughter. "Mandy, why don't you take Melkor into my room and play." "Ok," she says, scooping the kitten up out of Vin's lap. "How are you really doing?" Kay asks. "I'm still a little sore." "Don't ever scare me like that again, you hear me?" "Well, if it happens again, you're going to have to fly to LA to see me in the hospital." "Why?" Looking at Vin, he nods his head. "We're getting married in a couple of weeks and I'm moving to LA." "What?" "We're flying to Cozumel in a couple of weeks and getting married." "When did this happen?" Vin finally speaks up. "Actually, I wanted to ask her while we were there a few weeks ago, but I wasn't sure how she'd take it. I mean, everything was happening so fast that I didn't want to scare her. So I asked her while she was in the hospital." "Yeah, while I was drugged up and didn't know what I was agreeing to," I say, laughing. "Have you told mom and dad yet?" "No, I figured we'd go to the ranch this weekend and tell them." "That's good. They're going to be thrilled that you're finally getting married. Pissed that you're moving, but you know them, as long as we're happy, they don’t have to worry about us." "Don't say anything to them yet. And I want to be the one to tell Munchkin, if it's ok with you. But I have to wait until after we see mom and dad because I don't want her to slip up." "No problem. Just tell me when and she's yours. Well, I guess we'd better be going. Mandy?" "Yes?" she says, coming from the bedroom. "We need to go. Tell Aunt Gwen and Vin goodbye." "Bye Aunt Gwen," she says, giving me a hug. Turning to look at Vin, she says, "Oh man. This is going to be so cool telling everyone about you." Vin starts laughing. "It was nice to meet you." "Bye" she says, bouncing out the door. "I'll call you in a few days," I tell Kay. "Congratulations you two. Talk to you later." and she closes the door behind her. Sitting down on the couch with Vin, I comment, "That child has more energy than she knows what to do with." "She's a sweet kid." "She's going to think it's so cool to get on a plane to come visit." Stretching a little, I say, "I think I'm going to take a bath." "Too bad your tub isn't as big as the one in Cozumel." "Yeah, that was nice." "Go take your bath. I'll lock up." Leaning over to kiss him, I say, "What would I do without you?" "I hope we never have to find out. Go take your bath." he says. Heading into the bathroom, I turn on the water and let the tub fill up. I carefully undress and slide into the water, being careful with my arm and propping it up on the side of the tub. The cuts are healing and they should be fine in a couple of weeks. A few minutes later, Vin comes into the bathroom. "Need any help?" "No, just sit here with me." He sits on the floor of the bathroom with his back against the tub. "Gwen, I need to know something and I want you to tell me the truth." "What?" "Are you going to be ok leaving everyone when you move? I mean, you're whole family is here and they have been the center of your world for so long. I don't want you to do this just because I want to. You have to want this too." "Vin, look at me." He turns his body so that he's facing me. "They are my family, yes. And yes, it's going to be hard to leave. But now we're going to be a family, and that's where I belong. With you, no matter where it is." I lean forward to kiss him and end up sloshing water out of the tub and onto him. We both start laughing. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that." "It's just water," he says, taking his shirt off. "Oh man, you shouldn't have done that." I tell him. "Why?" "Whenever you do that, the room suddenly gets hot, and then I forget to breathe." "Well, what happens when I do this?" he says, standing up and scooping me out of the bathtub and carries me to the bed. "It gets the bed all wet." Laughing, he asks, "Is that all?" "What do you think?" I reply, pulling him down to me. "Are you sure you want to do this? Are you too sore?" "Never." He quickly gets rid of his remaining clothes and comes to me. Our loving is slow and gentle because he doesn't want to cause any additional pain. Sometime later, he's holding me in his arms and Melkor jumps up on the bed. "I think he's ready for bed and you're in his spot." "Too bad, he'll just have to find a new place to sleep." Melkor jumps down off of the bed and heads back into the living room. "Oh man, he's going to start casting spells and killing things now that you've pissed him off." Vin starts to laugh. "You're something else, Gwen. I love you." "I love you too,” I say, then fall asleep in his arms. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 21 The next week was a blur. We spent the weekend at my parent’s ranch and told them that we were getting married, I called the manager in LA and set up an appointment with her for the week after next, went to the office and filled out the transfer paperwork and packed up my things, and went shopping for Vin’s ring. He already had the matching wedding band that went with my ring, so I bought him a two-tone white and yellow gold band that has a row of 5 round diamonds in the center, and started packing up my apartment. While we weren't out running errands, Vin was working and I rested. Before I knew it, he was getting ready to go back to LA. "When is Tony coming to pick you up?" "My flight leaves at 9:00 tomorrow morning." "You're flying commercial?" "Yeah. I'll still make the occasional trip that way, but when you're with me, we'll use the jet." "I'm going to miss you, but at the same time, I've got a million things to do before next Friday." "I figured as much. Pack what you plan to take to Cozumel and what you need for the following week, then ship the rest to the house. We'll leave the furniture here for now, and come back for it later. When we get back next Sunday, while Tony is refueling the plane, we'll come back over and pick up some of your things, including the cat." “I’ve been thinking about that. The cat, I mean. I’m thinking about giving him to Mandy.” “Why?” “I don’t want your dog having him for one of his snacks.” “Gwen, he won’t eat him.” “Does he come into the house?” “Yeah.” “Then I don’t want to chance it. Mandy will take care of him.” “Are you sure about this?” “Yeah.” Later that afternoon, Vin drives me to my doctor's appointment. We're both relieved when the doctor gives me a clean bill of health. That night we celebrate. Vin lights candles all around the apartment and runs a bath for me. "Dinner should be ready in half an hour, so take your time," he says, leaving me in the bathroom. And I do. The hot water relaxes my sore muscles, and I stay in the bath until the water starts to cool off. Quickly shaving my legs, I rinse off and step out, drying my body with a thick towel. Pulling on a pair of shorts and muscle shirt, I join Vin in the kitchen. "Dinner smells wonderful. What it is this time?" "Broiled chicken breasts, vegetables, rolls, and dessert." "Dessert?" "Yeah, I figured that since we're celebrating, might as well go all out." He has the table set and has two candles in the center. "Planning on seducing me?" "Would it work?" "It already did. Can I help you with anything?" "No, it's all finished. Sit down and I'll make you a plate." Vin joins me at the table a few minutes later. Everything is wonderful. "Can I ask you a question?" I ask during dinner. "Sure." Vin replies. "When did you know?" “The night before we left the cabin. We were sitting on the pier watching the moon come up. It's like all of a sudden, it was so clear to me. I mean, here is a woman who loves the simple things in life like coming to a cabin in the middle of nowhere, hiking through the woods, sitting in a swing and enjoying the quiet, or just watching a sunset. What about you?" "On the pier before we left. I was standing there looking out over the lake and I felt so peaceful. I thought to myself that here is a man who is taking a chance by showing me who he really is, letting me into his life and trusting me with what I've learned. The trip to Cozumel was the icing on the cake." "Speaking of cake, sit here and I'll get the dessert." Vin walks to the refrigerator and pulls out a strawberry cheesecake. "Oh, man. My favorite." "I figured as much. I found it in the pantry, along with fresh strawberries in the refrigerator." Slicing a piece, he puts it on a small plate and hands it to me. Picking up a fork to dig in, he stops me. Picking up a strawberry, he holds it to my lips. Slowly I open my mouth and take a bite. His gaze never leaves my lips. He takes a fork and scoops some of the cheesecake onto it, and lifts it to my mouth again. I take it into my mouth, and he slowly pulls the fork out. A little ends up on the side of my mouth, and he leans over to lick it off. It's more than I can take. Turning my head slightly, I kiss him. It started off innocent enough, but sometime during the kiss, it turned into much more. Breaking apart, he takes my hand and leads me into the bedroom. "What about the dishes?" I ask. "I'll take care of them later. Right now I want to make love to you." And he did, several times. The following day was Friday, and I take Vin to the airport to catch his plane. Saying goodbye was hard, but knowing the next time we'll see each other will be for the wedding makes it a little easier. I drive back to the apartment and clean up last night's dishes since we never made it back into the kitchen, then I collapse on the couch. Calling Kay, I invite her to come shopping with me and Jennifer tomorrow, and then ask if I can come over that evening to tell Mandy the news and invite her to come with us. “Sure, dinner is at 6:00. See you then,” Kay says. Arriving back at home after our visit, Vin has left a message and I call him back. "Where were you?" he asks. "I went to tell Mandy the news." "Was she upset?" "A little, but I explained that she can come see us and we’ll come see her. She's going shopping with us tomorrow." "How are you feeling?" "A little tired, but it's ok." "Then I'll let you go. I'll talk to you tomorrow." "Ok, love you." "Love you too." Saturday morning, Jennifer, Kay and Mandy arrive around 9:00 and we go shopping. Mandy is in heaven with all of the pretty dresses. I have an idea of what I want, but finding it is going to be the difficult part. "Since it's going to be outside, I want something light weight and no sleeves, maybe something with a halter top." I find exactly what I'm looking for at the first store. It’s a white, tea-length dress with a halter bodice and illusion neckline. Not the typical wedding dress, but beautiful just the same. Mandy goes into the dressing room to help me change. "Aunt Gwen, that's beautiful." "Thanks Mandy. Let's go see what your mom and Jennifer think." Walking out of the dressing room, they don't say a word. "What's wrong?" "Nothing. It's just we're not used to seeing you in a dress." Kay says. "Well, do you like it?" Nodding to each other, Jennifer says, "I think we're finished shopping." "Well, Mandy, it looks like our job here is finished." my sister tells her. Mandy pipes up. "No more dresses?" Bending down, I give her a big hug. "No, we’re finished. Thanks for helping me today." "You're welcome." We head back to the apartment and Kay takes Mandy home, while me and Jennifer go shopping for the good stuff. Victoria's Secret never knew what hit them. Vin calls later that evening to see how the shopping trip went. "I knew what kind of dress I wanted and found it at the first store we went to." "So, any hint as to what it looks like?" "All I'm going to say is that it's white. By the way, what are you going to wear?" "What do you want me to wear?" "I have no idea what's in your closet so you'll have to do that one on your own.” "Cool. I've got some things to finish up, so I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Love you." "Love you too." I hang the phone up and Melkor jumps into my lap. Turning on the TV, I flip through the channels and find that one of his movies is playing. I settle back on the couch and watch it, falling asleep before it's over. Sunday morning, I went and picked Mandy up and we spent the day at the zoo. She came back and helped me pack a few more boxes, adding them to the ever-growing stack in the corner, and then I took her back home. When I got back to the apartment, I turned on my computer to check my emails and was chatting with Jennifer when Vin came online. hey what are you doing? work, what are you up to? just got back from taking mandy home. we went to the zoo and she helped me pack a little. how are you feeling? pretty good. i’m chatting with jenn and she said matt is going to take the pictures cool brb, let me finish with jenn & i’ll be back i’m back – went to change clothes what are you wearing? muscle shirt and shorts, why? what are you wearing? jeans no shirt? no man it’s getting hot in here …. button fly? yeah i wish i was there to unbutton them and do what? run my tongue up and down your cock, then all around it o what’s wrong? getting hard to type all the blood leaving your brain and heading south? you could say that pants fitting a little tighter? yep take them off gwen why not, is someone there no, just me then do it what are you going to take off what do you want me to take off shirt hold on ok, done imagine me licking a trail from your neck down to your breasts mmmmmm flicking your nipples with my tongue k what’s wrong? can’t type? hard to with one hand where’s the other one? wouldn’t you like to know take off your shorts k panties? none mmmm, i can picture you sitting there naked and extremely wet i’m licking it up, flicking your clit with my tongue mmmm what are you doing? you can’t even begin to imagine oh yes i can having problems on your side? yep what do you want me to do? tell me what you want to do first i’d sit on my knees between your legs and take you into my mouth, running my tongue all over you. after i teased you like that for a few minutes, i’d lick a trail up your stomach, circling your nipples and lightly bite them … you still there? mmm from there i’d kiss my way up to your neck, rubbing my breasts against your chest as i go, and finally get to that gorgeous mouth of yours, sucking on your bottom lip … still with me? mmm i’d straddle you, slowly taking you into my body, and start to ride you. slowly at first, then speeding up. you can feel my body pulsing around you, driving you closer to the edge, until you can’t take it any more, then you erupt inside of me …. doing ok over there? yeah, definitely need a cold shower now well, in the shower …. just kidding you’re bad only when i need to be – you like? very much sorry to do this to you but i’m tired and ready for bed. see you friday. love u love u 2 I shut down the computer and head to the bedroom. Monday, I called everyone and invited them to dinner Thursday night, did a little more packing, made arrangements for Mike and Karen at one of the hotels near the airport, and started getting nervous. Tuesday, I went and picked up Vin's ring at the jewelers because it had to be resized, and went to Best Buy and bought a laptop computer. Getting back home, I spent all afternoon loading my extra programs on it and moving files over. Wednesday evening, Jennifer came over and helped me pack what little bit of stuff that was left. When we were finished, we sat on the couch talking. "Are you nervous yet?" she asked. "Yeah. It started Monday. But I'm not scared about marrying him. It's the move and starting over where I don't know anyone." "Gwen, just be yourself. Sure, people are going to talk because Vin married you, and because you're not one of them, but you will make new friends. People who get you know you, the real you, will see that you're a good person." "Thanks, I needed that." "Well, my job here is done. I'm going to head home." Walking to the door, I give her a hug. "Be careful and we'll see you guys tomorrow night." "Later." Vin called while I was in the tub. "Busy?" he asks. "Just soaking in the tub." "Mmmm, nice mental picture." "Stop. You're only making it harder on yourself." "You don't know the half of it," he says, laughing. "Miss me?" "You could say that. I talked to the realtor and she found a few places that I think you might like. We'll go look at them next week." "Wow, that was fast." "That's how we do things here. Well, not everything." he says, chuckling. "Thanks for the tip." "How much more do you have to pack?" "Everything's done, with the exception of a few things in the bedroom and bathroom, and my computer." He started laughing. "We'll finish up tomorrow afternoon when I get in." "Sounds good. What time do you want me to be at the airport?" "We should be there around 1:00 your time." "Good, that gives me tomorrow morning to finish up my errands and get my nails done." "I talked to the hotel today and everything is on schedule. I told them that we'd be there around noon Friday, so they'll send someone down to the cottage to set things up later that afternoon." "I'm glad we're doing it this way. I don't think I could handle the stress that goes along with planning a big wedding. Speaking of, has anyone gotten wind of it yet?" "Not that I'm aware of, and believe me, I would have heard something by now." "Good, I don't want a bunch of reporters wanting to do interviews on our honeymoon." "But after?" "That's your call. You get to decide when you want to go public with this." "I’ll have my publicist release a statement Monday, that way we’ll have the weekend to ourselves. Hey, I still have to pack so I'm going to let you go. I'll see you tomorrow afternoon." "I love you." "I love you too." Thursday morning I wake up to a thunderstorm. I hope this is not an omen of some kind. Flipping on the Weather Channel, it looks like rain all morning, and then it should clear up this afternoon. Great, errands in the rain. Getting up and taking a shower, I straighten up the apartment and then go to the nail salon to have my nails done. Then I head to the airport, where I arrive a few minutes before they do. Vin opens the cabin door and jumps out, meeting me in the middle of the hangar. Picking me up and hugging me, he gives me a kiss, then sets me back down. Taking my hand, we walk over to where the others are getting their bags out of the plane, and Vin introduces me to Karen. Vin gets his bag and we take Mike and Karen to the hotel, saying that we'd be back to pick them up at 7:00 for dinner. Then we head home. "Well, this definitely looks different from the last time I was here," he says, walking into the apartment and setting his bag down. "I've been busy. It's a good thing I’m not working right now. There's no way I could have done all of this and worked too." "So, what do you have left to do?" "I have to box up my computer stuff, and then pack for the trip this weekend and next week, and ship some boxes to LA. Kay is going to take care of that for me tomorrow." "Need any help?" "Sure. The computer boxes are in the storage closet on the porch. If you can do that for me, I'll take care of the clothes." Vin gets the boxes and starts working on the computer, while I head into the bedroom to finish up in there. Once I'm done, I go into the living room with him. "Are you ready for tomorrow?" he asks, pulling me onto the couch with him. "Yeah. What about you?" "Definitely," he says, kissing me. Turning on the TV, he flips through the channels to see what's on. Leaning back against him, I fall asleep. He wakes me up a couple of hours later. We take a shower and get dressed for dinner, then go to pick up Mike and Karen. Arriving at the restaurant a little early, we sit and talk until everyone arrives. Dinner is wonderful and everyone has a good time. This will be the last time I see my family for a little while, and it's hard to say good-bye. I scoop Mandy up and hold her tight, promising that it won't be long before we come back and see her. We drive Mike and Karen back to the hotel, saying that we'd see them the next morning around 9:00, and then Vin drives us home. Walking into the apartment, I yawn. "Tired?" Vin asks, dropping the keys onto the table. "Yeah. It's been a long two weeks. Hell, I wasn't ever this tired when I had a job." He starts laughing. "I take it you're ready for bed then?" "Sleep. Need lots of sleep." He pulls his shirt off, grinning. "I think you need something else," he says, walking towards me. "And what would that be?" "Me," he says, before meeting my lips with his. Leaving a trail of clothes from the front door to the bedroom, he pulls me down onto the bed with him and shows me just how much I need him. Diesel Chronicles Ch. 22 The alarm clock goes off Friday morning at 7:00. After taking a shower and getting dressed, I straighten up the apartment while Vin goes to the bakery and gets some croissants for breakfast. Jennifer and Matt arrive around 8:30, and they follow us to the hotel, where we pick up Mike and Karen. Arriving at the hangar, everyone boards the plane and we take off for Cozumel. Landing a couple of hours later, we head to the hotel and get checked in. The others go on to the cottages while Vin and I stay and talk to the manager, going over the list of things that Vin has requested, then meet with the Judge that will be performing the ceremony. Once we're certain everything is on schedule, we head to our cottage to drop off our bags, then meet everyone at the hut to eat lunch. Before we realize it, it's time for the hotel staff to arrive and start setting things up at our cottage. Staying out of the way, I park myself in the swing on the porch, watching the activities. Vin is inside, making sure that everything is set up the way he wanted it. When everyone left, I walked into the bathroom and started filling the tub. Vin came in and took a shower, then put on a pair of shorts. I finish my bath and sit at the dressing table to start getting ready. Vin comes into the bathroom and hands me a long velvet box. "What's this?" Opening the box, I find a beautiful diamond tennis bracelet. Vin takes it out and wraps it around my wrist. "It's gorgeous. Thank you," I say, standing up to kiss him. "But I don't have anything to give you." "You've given me more than you know. You love me for me, and that is the best gift you could ever give me," he says, kissing me again. "I’m going to Mike's to dress, so I'll see you outside in a little while." Jennifer and Karen came over and stayed with me while I got ready. And then it was time. Vin waited on the steps for me while everyone went out onto the beach. He’s wearing a navy Armani suit with a white button-up shirt. When he saw me walk onto the porch, he didn't move. Taking my hand in his, he brought it to his lips and pressed a kiss to it. "You're beautiful," he says. "Thank you. You'd be amazed at what a little war paint can do for a person." "Gwen, be serious." "I can't. If I do, I'll cry." We walk down to where everyone has gathered and the Judge begins the ceremony. "Marriage is a supreme sharing of experience, and an adventure in the most intimate of human relationships. It is the joyous union of two people whose comradeship and mutual understanding have flowered in romance. Today, Mark and Gwen proclaim their love and commitment to the world, and we gather here to rejoice, with and for them, in the new life they now undertake together. The joy we feel now is a solemn joy, because the act of marriage has many consequences, both social and personal. Marriage requires "love," a word we often use with vagueness and sentimentality. We may assume that love is some rare and mystical event, when in fact it is our natural state of being. So what do we mean by love? When we love, we see things other people do not see. We see beneath the surface, to the qualities that make our beloved special and unique. To see with loving eyes, is to know inner beauty. And to be loved is to be seen, and known, as we are known to no other. One who loves us, gives us a unique gift: a piece of ourselves, but a piece that only they could give us. To make this relationship work, therefore, takes more than love. It takes trust, to know in your hearts that you want only the best for each other. It takes dedication, to stay open to one another, to learn and grow, even when it is difficult to do so. And it takes faith, to go forward together without knowing what the future holds for you both. While love is our natural state of being, these other qualities are not as easy to come by. They are not a destination, but a journey. Before you are joined in matrimony I have to remind you of the solemn and binding character of the vows you are about to make. Marriage is the union of one man with one woman, voluntarily entered into for life, to the exclusion of all others and should not be entered into lightly nor lightly to be put on one side. But further, it is also a solemn union to provide the love, friendship, help and comfort that each should have for the other, both in times of joy and in times of difficulty. You may now state your vows." Turning to each other and holding hands, Vin says, "With all of my heart, I take you, Gwen, to be my wife. I will love you through the good and the bad, through the joy and the sorrow. I will try to be understanding, and to trust in you completely. I will make you a part of me and in turn, become a part of you. Together we will face all of life's experiences and share one another’s dreams and goals. It is my intention to be your best friend, to respect and support you, to be patient with you, to work together with you to achieve those things that are important to us, to accept you unconditionally, and to share life with you throughout the years." Wiping a tear away, I take a deep breath. "With all of my heart, I take you, Mark, to be my husband, secure in the knowledge that you will be my constant friend, my faithful partner in life, and my one true love. On this special day, I give to you in the presence of God and these witnesses my sacred promise to stay by your side as your loving wife in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, as well as through the good times and the bad. I promise to love you without reservation, comfort you in times of distress, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind and spirit, always be open and honest with you, and cherish you for as long as we both shall live." "Will you be exchanging rings?" the Judge asks. As we exchange our rings, he continues, "The ring is an ancient symbol, so perfect and simple. It has no beginning and has no end. It is round like the sun, like the moon, like the eye, like arms that embrace. It is a circle; for love that is given comes back round again. Your rings are precious because you wear them with love. They symbolize your commitment in marriage. They remind you of who you are, where you've been, and where you're going. As you wear them through time, they will reflect not only who you are as individuals, but also who you are as a couple. May these rings remind you that your love, like the sun, warms all that it touches, like the moon, brightens up the night, like the eye, is a gateway to your innermost soul. And your love, like the arms that embrace you, makes everything right with the world. Because you have both made the declarations prescribed by law and together with the long tradition of the giving and receiving of rings, you have made a solemn vow and binding contract with each other in the presence of those gathered here today. It is now my privilege to say that you are now husband and wife." As we share our first kiss as husband and wife, the sun sinks below the horizon. Pulling back a little, I look at Vin and take a deep breath. "We did it." He smiles back. "We did it." Everyone gathers around, hugging and shaking hands, offering their congratulations. We walk back to the cottage, where Jennifer and Karen get things ready so we can cut the cake, while Vin and I sign the necessary paperwork for the Judge. The cake is beautiful. It's a round, two-layer Italian cream cake with white icing and covered with pink roses, ribbon, and greenery. Matt starts snapping pictures. Picking up the knife, Vin covers my hand with his as we cut into the cake. I finish cutting the piece, and we feed a small bite to each other. Vin “accidentally” smears some icing on my lips, and before I can wipe it off, he leans down and slowly licks it off, which turns into a deep kiss. Everyone starts clapping and cheering. Getting ourselves under control, we cut several other pieces for everyone. With that done, everyone stands around talking. Vin comes up to me and pulls me close. "I wasn't kidding earlier. You are beautiful." "Thanks. But don't get used to seeing me in a dress. Special occasions only." "Would you have rather gotten married in jeans?" "That thought had crossed my mind, many times." "That's my girl. You may be able to take her out of the country, but you'll never take the country out of her." Matt comes around and takes more pictures, then sets up the tripod and gathers everyone together for some group pictures. Making sure that everyone is in focus, he sets the timer and joins us in the picture. Mike calls everyone together to make a toast. Vin stands behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist. "I have known Vin since we were kids back in school. We've been through the bad times and the good, but I have never seen him as happy as he is today. I never thought that he'd settle down, but when he met Gwen in New Orleans, something in him changed. I remember him telling me that what he felt for her was different than anything he's felt towards someone before. When he took her to Colorado, I knew then and there where it was headed. I'm not losing my best friend, but adding another member to our little family. So here's to the happy couple. May you be friends to each other as only lovers can; and may you love each other as only best friends can .... Cheers." Jennifer comes over and holds my hand. "Well, I haven't known Gwen quite that long, but when someone comes into your life and accepts you for you, that's someone you want to keep around for a very long time. Like you, we've shared many ups and downs, mostly my downs, but she never turned her back on me. When I needed her, she was there, never passing judgment, but always there to offer advice, which I very rarely took. What can I say, I'm stubborn. Vin, you have a very special and wise woman in Gwen. She will love you with all of her heart, because that's the only way she knows how to. Love her and cherish her. Because if you don't, you'll have me to answer to .... Cheers." Everyone finishes up their cake and champagne, and then Vin calls the hotel to let them know they can come clean up. We change clothes and then head to the restaurant to eat dinner. Naturally, everyone has the buffet. Then it’s off to the club. Since it's Friday, the place is packed, but we manage to find an empty table. The guys get our drinks and Vin goes to the DJ booth. A few minutes later, our drinks arrive and we sit and talk, watching everyone on the dance floor. Then the DJ makes an announcement. "Gwen, this one is for you." The DJ plays "Me and You" by Kenny Chesney and Vin takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. Matt has his camera and takes a picture of us dancing. Then everyone joins us on the dance floor. "So, what do you think, Mrs. Vincent?" "Wow, that's going to take some time getting used to. Thank you for making all of the arrangements for the wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect." "I didn't want you to have to deal with it after the accident. You needed to rest and not be stressed out." "What did I do to deserve you?" I ask, and then pull his lips down to mine. The DJ plays another slow song. During this one, Mike taps Vin on the shoulder. "May I cut in?" Vin leans down and gives me a kiss. "Be my guest, but keep your hands where I can see them." Mike starts laughing and we start to dance. Vin goes to dance with Jennifer. "You know, I've never seen him like this. I wasn't sure about you two at first. I mean, I expected New Orleans to be it, but he couldn't stop talking about you, how different you are from the other women he's known. But as he talked about you, he painted this picture of someone who still has values, someone who doesn't care about the glitz and glamour of Hollywood." "And now?" “Seeing you two together makes me believe that anything's possible. If you ever need anything, let me know. I may be his best friend, but I can also take him down a peg or two if needed." I started laughing. "Thank you Mike. You don't know how glad I am to hear you say that." Vin interrupts us. "Ok, that's enough you two." Mike laughs. "Playing the protective husband already?" "Only where you're concerned," Vin says, grinning. Taking me into his arms, he asks, "So, what were you two talking about?" "He was just telling me that he's got my back if I need help keeping you in line." He started laughing at that. We were at the club for a couple of hours when Vin asks, “When can we gracefully make our exit?" "Since we're the bride and groom, I guess anytime we feel like it." "Then I'd say that it's time." "Ready to start the honeymoon?" "You know it." When the song is finished, Vin takes my hand and leads me off of the dance floor to the table where everyone has gathered. "We're heading out. We'll meet you guys at the hut for lunch tomorrow and do something after," he says. Everyone starts making comments, cheering and whistling while we leave the club and make our way back down to the cottage. He walks around the bedroom and lights candles. “Come here,” he says. I walk to him and he wraps his arms around me, pulling me to him. The cool night air hits my body as he slowly undresses me, leaving me wearing a white lace strapless bra and matching white lace thong. I reach for his shirt, pulling it out of his pants, and then slowly unbuttoning it. Running my hands over his shoulders, I catch the shirt and slide it down his arms, trapping them at his side. I slowly run my hands over his chest, watching his muscles flex under my touch, then finish taking his shirt off. He pulls me to him again, running his hands down my back to my ass, and picks me up. Wrapping my legs around him, he walks to the bed and gently lays me back on it, and I watch as he finishes undressing. When he’s done, he joins me on the bed and captures my lips with his. Leaving a trail of kisses from my lips to my breasts, he reaches behind me and unhooks my bra. He braced himself on his forearms and licked each nipple, and just when I thought one couldn’t take the teasing anymore, he would turn his attention to the other. He kissed my breasts, dragging his tongue between them, then return to my hard nipples and took them alternately with his teeth. Nipping and sucking, drawing me into his mouth. He trailed kisses over my ribs, down my abdomen, and then glided his tongue across my belly, playfully flicking my belly button ring. He lifted the strap of my thong away from the curve of my hip with his teeth and licked the sensitive skin beneath it. He tugged the lace down with little nips, curving his tongue beneath it. I dug my fingers into his shoulders as he licked again and again, making my body sing. He sucked my sensitive nub through the lace, making me arch against him, begging for more. Each inch he bared he swept with a hot stroke of his tongue, alternating tiny love bites. My knees trembled and I clutched his muscled shoulders for support. He finally stripped off my thong and covered my body with his. We kissed deeply, tongues hot and hungry. I arched my back, rubbing my breasts against him. I wound my hands behind his neck and wrapped my legs tightly around him. He rocked himself against me so that his cock was gliding back and forth over my most sensitive spot, bringing me closer to an orgasm. Lifting my hips just a fraction higher, he slid into me. He begins to move slowly, the passion building in us both. I meet him thrust for thrust, and sometime later, we find our release. Holding me in his arms, he whispers, “I love you, Gwen.” “I love you too.” We fall asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore. The following Monday, Vin’s publicist released the following statement: Vin Diesel Marries His Texas Gal - A few months ago, a picture appeared in a Houston paper of Vin and a mystery lady, with the subtitle of "Vin Diesel’s Texas Gal". The mystery lady turned out to be Gwen Matthews, a native Houstonian whom Vin met while vacationing in New Orleans. After a whirlwind romance of just four short months, the couple was married Friday on the island of Cozumel. The bride wore a gown from the Isabella Bridal Collection, while the groom sported a navy Armani suit. A small group of friends attended the ceremony, which was kept a closely guarded secret from the public.
