At a glittering party in 1920s New York, aVA sees Farid, a magnetic friend whose affinity for ancient tombs and quiet intensity awakens something within her. It begins with flirtation in her late father’s Egyptian parlor, and becomes a night of unrestrained passion.

By dawn, she must decide whether to stay behind in her familiar world or follow Farid across the ocean. On a ship bound for Cairo, aVA decides to bet on a future full of passion and adventure. A choice as dazzling as the gold found in a newly opened tomb.
