You're Safe With Me 

You're doing it again, that thing where you won't look at me. You're avoiding my eyes because you know I'll be able to see your pain, and maybe... just maybe... I'll be able to figure out whats causing it.
No? Well then.. I won't push, but you promised me cuddles and so I will collect on that offer. Come, scoot closer, lay your head on my chest *chuckles* you're so cute when you curl up in my arms and get so comfortable. Mmmm, let me just hold you tight against me, I can feel the tension slowly peeling away from you.. even though you won't tell me what’s going on; but you don’t have to tell me because I already know.
I know that you’re afraid of world, that because of your fear you pretend that you’re bigger, and stronger than you really are. But as afraid as you are of the world you're so much more terrified that everyone will see that you're not so big and strong. That they'll see that you're sweet, kind, naive and vulnerable and that they'll try to eat you alive..
But you don't have to be afraid right now, right now your whole world is right here in this room.. and while we're here in these walls nothing will hurt you, no one will attack you for being sweet, naive or vulnerable. While you're here in these walls you're safe and everything is okay..even if that's only for a little while. 
That's it darling, cry it all out, let all of the pain and fear go; Mmm, I'll just keep holding you, tighter and tighter and my fingers will run through your hair. Don't you worry about tomorrow, or next week or next month. Just let this relief take you over, embrace it, you deserve it, little one.
