hello so I have a lot of free time tonight and I was rousing backstage and I found this cute little Dungeons & Dragons questionnaire and I play D&D a lot so I figured why not just dive into it and by dive into it I mean I didn't read the questions at all so there goes professionalism out the window yeah but yeah hi I'm garden slumber and here we go and I have like no idea what's going on I don't know how long this is gonna take but if you're here you're along for the ride with me and okay okay dude do during character creation do you always model your PC after yourself or what's your main drive and fleshing out your character um god I don't know I usually make my character I base it off my class and I don't really model it after anything except what I would view the class as like recently my DM like we just started a new campaign and he got I think it's Xanthar's or maybe it's Volo's I don't know but one of those has um class expansions kind of I really don't know how to call those but class expansions and I kind of just base it off of that okay favorite race and why I like elves a lot every single character that I've played with has been an elf that being said I've like made like a Goliath before I've made a tabaxi I think it's tabaxi yeah before but I've never gotten to play with either of those and I've always gone back to elves and I don't know I like being like kind of an asshole and in D&D so maybe that's why I just kind of have an excuse to being an asshole okay um favorite class and why um I really like magic classes like sorcerers specifically like no shit on like wizards or bards or anything but they just seem to be like in charge of shit so maybe that's why magic is cool I'm also afraid of like hand-to-hand combat in real life and in games not just Dungeons & Dragons and I think that's why I choose like a distance type of fighter yeah people seem to hold very strong views on alignments what is your take on it and which do you prefer adding to the previous question can good and evil characters be in the party together from experience I'm gonna say yes though there's a lot of arguing I like I tend to be like I said I tend to be more of an asshole when I play games so I'm usually on the more like lawful evil standpoint just because I'm very greedy in these games and it gives me an excuse to get XP by killing people I don't know that sounds like morally incorrect but so is lawful evil but no back to the secondary question at hand I think good and evil characters can be in a party together but there's just arguing and it really comes down to like are you actually friends with a person do you care about hurting their feelings I care about if I hurt someone's feelings or not and I'm even though like it's a character that's a dick at the end of the day I'm not gonna be a dick though you are what you eat so what is your take on multiclassing should you or should you not adding to that what is your take on people who multiclass in order to power the game campaign I've never multiclassed before my one attempt at doing it by myself without a DM was very hard though I don't like reading the D&D manual at all just because it's so heavy but I don't know I don't really have an answer for that question so I'm probably just gonna skip it yeah okay what no dungeon clearing or investigative campaigns adding to that do you like murder hoping and if so why I don't know I feel like you could really do both in a campaign I feel like you could have a strong storyline while also farming at the same time even though that could be kind of heavy for the DM and it's always up to them so I don't know I don't know like dungeon clearing would be nice when like leading up to like a level where you can actually do cool stuff and then you could go into an investigative like I don't know they both have their pros and cons it honestly depends to me on like the situation around the campaign because of the campaigns really boring then yeah probably just farming how do you prefer to roll stats I don't know I in the past I've like the people and the campaigns I've been with have rolled a d20 and that's kind of it but this guy that I just start playing with how we rolled our stats I think he made us roll for d6 is and then he made us add them all and then subtract the lowest number out of the ones that we rolled I feel like that's like a more fair way of doing it but that being said the campaign I'm in two campaigns right now so I might be talking about those religiously who knows but the other campaign that I'm in she made us use the book like in 5e there's like this chart that's just like you you have like 27 points and then you have to divvy them out between the stats and that was really stressful but I feel like that kind of gives a very even playing field so even I'd probably do like the book way if it was my way I would just roll a d20 until I got the best number for me which version of D&D and why I've only played 5e I have only played D&D for about a year and a half and everyone that I've come in contact with it's only played 5e too I honestly think that's just because we're so young and we really don't feel like finding the older versions but that's just my viewpoint as a player not a DM I don't know I don't know I'm just gonna go with 5e any tips for new players oh my gosh just do it like if you're having like a reserve about playing D&D don't because it's a very very fun game like it's just a lot of fun and if you feel like you have problems with people that you're gonna like if you don't if you have some sort of reserve with people that you're playing with then don't play in that campaign like just don't because you're gonna probably hate it to be around that specific person or people or whatever look at multiple classes and multiple races and see what fits best for you and what works with your personality look at like perks from that I know that it's I think at the Xanthar's like book of everything or whatever but there's like racial feats in there too like as long as your DM like either has that or allows it like expand your knowledge on like what you can and can't play with okay what is the worst you or someone else has fucked over your group in a campaign oh my gosh my first ever campaign we were like almost done with it and I it was like some situation where my group had to go find like a cult and I went to this like townskeeper and I was just like hey where's the cult and the guy was just like I'm not gonna tell you so I killed him like just out of spite and then like four other people showed up and then I killed all of them so I killed five people and I lost my moral alignment and my fellow players had to kill me and like the final boss showed up right after that so it was like 30 minutes of because everyone else got wiped out except for this one guy and it was like 30 minutes of just him praying that he could just defeat like it was a Dryder and he was just like trying to just kill this Dryder by himself and I think he was like like a level six and it was terrible and he ended up dying but the Dryder had like 37 HP left and I have not heard the end of it what qualities what qualities you what are qualities you really like and fellow players or DMs and what are qualities you really dislike and fellow players and DMs oh my gosh like I said before I like having the magic but I don't like being the one that heals and sometimes I've just been like people just assume that since I have magic I can heal them like no I'm sorry you decided to be a tank that is not acceptable so that's something I don't like I like everyone like knowing each other at least like it's okay if like you bring like an outsider that sounds so bad but like someone that the group isn't familiar with but I really like it when everyone knows each other that's a very nice thing yeah have you ever DM'd now so I'm gonna skip the next like four questions thoughts on using roll 20 I roll 20 is like the website right okay this is like really unprofessional but we feel professional the window so roll 20 like what the fuck is this what the hell is this excuse me okay um oh yeah this seems disgusting every time I've played D&D it's always been tabletop so we have like little characters little guys I can understand how this could be very convenient for online playing but it just looks like the graphics are weird yeah though I could understand how that'd be very nice for playing it'd be very organized but I don't know I'm kind of impartial on that just because I've never done it but just at a first glance it seems really um yeah I think that's that's it for that was a horrifying honk I don't know if you heard that but there was like a weird honk out there but no I think that is it and I had a really fun time doing it I never mentioned that it was made by cuddly bear um and yes you are a good boy and this was a lot of fun so thank you for posting it and thank you for listening bye
