ConFurence 10 Report

At the request of several folks, here's a brief report on my attendance of ConFurence 10 in San Diego, from April 1-4, 1999.

I bid on over a dozen pieces of artwork at the silent auction, but only went home with eight. At least three of the pieces I wanted went to vocal auction, which I didn't have time to attend. The eight pieces I "won" were:

"Willamena" -- an original by Diana Stein
A tastefully nude anthro kangaroo femme with long flowing red hair, seen from the side in a sultry pose.
"Bambi" -- an original by Mercy
A topless anthro deer femme with blonde hair and a silver and green necklace, squatting Indian-style, with a translucent veil draped around her arms and waist.
"Sage and Tanar" -- an original by J. Willard
A fully-clothed anthro stag (Sage), straddling a stone fence, bends down to touch noses with a (presumably male) red and white anthro canid (looks like a Siberian Husky), who lies on his back on the edge of the wall, gazing up at the stag and licking him tenderly on the nose. Their loving facial expressions made this a must-have piece for me.
"Apollo: Buns of Steel" -- an original by J. Willard
A non-anthro wolf holds its muzzle in discomfort after trying to nip the buttocks of another wolf, who strides smugly off, its posterior having been protected by shiny metal armor.
"Soldatna and Kenai" -- an original by Caribou
Two nude (but, in keeping with CF10 policy, nipple-less) anthro female sled dogs (one gray and white, one red and white), posing coyly in a snowy meadow and fixing a sultry gaze on the viewer (me :).
  • "Wapiti's Song" -- a limited-edition print by Dark Natasha
A non-anthro bull elk, bugling in a snowy field.
  • "Still Life with Elk" -- a limited-edition print by Dark Natasha
A non-anthro bull elk, a burgundy-colored blanket draped over his shoulders and back, with a nude woman reclining thoughtfully atop his back.
  • "Dog Days" -- a limited-edition print by Dark Natasha
Two anthro male mixed-breed dogs standing on their hind legs on a sidewalk, and taking a leak against a wall. They are shown from the back, so their genitals are not seen, but their forepaws are in front of them, obviously aiming their penises, and their urine streams and the resulting puddles are clearly visible on the wall and sidewalk. This, combined with their happy facial expressions, makes this (to me, at least) the most erotic of the prints I purchased.
