>I almost spit out my soda as I watch Liz come through the cafeteria doors. More specifically as I watch Liz's head first, then a long and straight Liz neck, braced with a set of wheels having to keep the thing up. The Liz-truck slowly but assuredly hobbles in to the place.
>I watch as she has to slowly make her way over with the assistance of Damien. It's like a walking tree has come to join us. Angrily huffing she slowly picks her head up, assisting wheels left to fall limply as her head rises up slowly to full height.
>I watch as she keeps going and going, stabilizing at full mast before sitting down.
>"What happened?" I start to ask her but turn halfway through the sentence to Damien as I realize there's no way she can hear me up there.
>"Got rear-ended. She'll be in that thing for a few days." He folds his arms and looks up to her. Then cups his hands in front of his mouth and bellow.
>"YOU GOOD!?"
>A very distant "Yeah!" Can be heard from the top of Liz tower.
>I glance down to the unicycle braces on the ground. Damien catches my eyes.
>"Yeah she has to use those to support her neck when she's walking. Otherwise it'll take longer to heal." I was more wondering if he was going to bother to collect the things but whatever. I watch a few students step over one.
>A snorting and cackling laugh rings from not far. I glance over and it seems Olivia has now spotted Pillar Liz.
>It destroys her. At first it's just a giggle. It progresses quickly. From a laugh to full sputtering and gasping for air. She's just lost it. Liz seems to have noticed as her arms are now folded, shoulders forward.
>Through choked gasps for air Olivia manages some words.
>"The brachy titan peeks over the waaaaaalls." That statement seems to even break Damien for a moment yet I'm left in the dark. Must be some in-joke.

>Liz just goes about her lunch in the rafters as Damien re-explains the situation. Olivia shares some pity but it's quickly overwhelmed as she scribbles something into her notebook that breaks her into tearful laughter.
>It's a drawing her her, head not in frame and off the top. Text reading "Alolan Liz."
>This one's a real winner as it sends Damien into his own deep laughing fit. Still a bit lost I glance all the way up to see Liz just not particularly enthused chewing leaves.
>Olivia keeps it up through most of lunch. Guess now that the shoe's on the other foot she's gonna eat it up as best she can. Can't blame her too much I myself and slightly guilty of mentally pointing the phrases "goggles" or "shades" at others when I see them.
>She does find her empathy after another few rounds, having Damien call up to her to ask if she's alright.
>No audible response but Liz picks up her phone. A text rings in Damien's.
>"She says it's more just obnoxious than anything." He shrugs as the table shares a bit of a knowing nod.
>As lunch starts to come to an end Damien taps Liz on the arm, calling up.
>"IT'S TIME!"
>She gives a thumbs up and stands, slowly maneuvering over.
>Damien operates the Liz crane and pulls her all the way back down, retrieving and applying her uni-supports so that she may be moved.
>Olivia and I watch as she's wheeled out slowly but surely. Poor girl. I get a nudge from Olivia.
>"You ever seen anything so sweet?" I smile at her meaning.
>"Are they even dating?"
>She shrugs as we watch Damien finish his herculean task, joining Liz out in the hallway.
