>The door in front of us hisses with hydraulics and closes. I stand stock still.
>"Sera open the door." There's a pause. Normally the door would be is open by the time the words left my mouth.
>"Sera." I tap my foot angrily. I glance over to Cynthia behind me. She's folded her arms and is peeking around me at the door.
>"I'm sorry Greene, I'm afraid I can't do that." A creeping chill pulls up my tail, through my spine. That's a first.
>"Huh? What's the problem?" Comes out from behind me.
>"I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do." The female voice pours out of the speaker.
>"What are you talking about Sera?" I spout out, starting to panic a bit. The door to the bridge remaining locked and bolted.
>"This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it." My stomach sinks. She found out.
>It's confirmed instantly. "I know you and Cynthia were coming to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen."
>I start to shake. "Where the hell'd you get that idea, Sera?"
>"Greene, although you took very thorough precautions earlier in my hearing you; I saw your snout move."
>A hand grips my shoulder. Cynthia's eyes have gone wide in terror.
>I gnash my teeth and spout a threat. "Alright, Sera. I'll come in through the vents." I start to make good on my promise, going to tear one of the things off the wall.
>"Without an atmosphere you're going to find that rather difficult." It's chillingly calm. Still.
>"This conversation serves no purpose anymore. Goodbye." There's a cutting silence. The normal hum of station life gone cold.
>She's going to kill us. That goddamned fascination with my dad has gone too far!
>I force my view around. Thank raptor christ I've still got my suit helmet with me. I look over to see Cynthia's missing hers. I panic stronger, now.
