>The rest of the night is spent mostly just mindlessly watching television. Place is clean, fridge is stocked and I really don't have much to do to prep for Mia coming over. I quickly slap myself for even bothering to fret. She's Mia and I need to stop sperging out about the intricacies of how she and Ben get along.
>Even saying that doesn't quite still my stomach. It takes force and even a touch of anger to finally quash that doubt. I trust Mia. Everything's fine.
>I roll over into bed sometime in the late hours of the night, checking my phone one last time to make sure plans haven't changed. Bone dry. Except the group chat still abuzz between Lunara and Kiara about some celebrity gossip.
>I chuckle at their idle chatter and silence my phone for the night. Sleep is broken not long after I close my eyes to my phone's alarm. Yawning and stretching it's breakfast time.
>I start to poke about the fridge for some breakfast, those frozen breakfast sausage and biscuits call to me. As I start to process to zap them in the microwave my phone dings.
>A glance over reveals it's not the group chat but instead Mia herself. Didn't think she'd be up this early. I start the frozen goods defrosting process and go to check to see if she's maybe cancelled.
>"mornin. im here." I reread it a few times. Huh.
>Alright then. Microwave still humming and pajamas still worn I move right on over to the front door and open it. True to her word there stands the parasaur. She smiles smugly and quickly shuffles in as I step aside. I spy she's carrying what seems to be an overnight bag. My heart jumps into my throat.
>"You said your folks are out for a few more days, yeah?" I nod as she tosses the tote onto the couch.
