>Janet's been hanging around a bit more, turning us into a veritable troupe. I don't mind her presence that much, even if she weighs heavy on me occasionally. I do wish I got more alone time with Greene. We're not even dating yet, I can't push that.
>I come back to as the three of us are out and about at the mall this time. Greene grabbing some new shoes while I found a small handbag that I'd been eyeing for the past month or so. Janet declined most everything but still ended up with a couple odds and ends, a bracelet the real draw here I believe.
>"You're kidding, Jay."
>"Nope, the thing exploded. Here I'll show you." Janet looks through her phone before turning a picture to us. It's of a completely ruined kitchen, grease and burn marks everywhere.
>Greene lets out a snickering laugh as he pops some more popcorn chicken into his maw.
>"God what kind of dumbass deep fries a whol-ass tur-"
>Greene clears his throat. Must've choked a bit.
>I glance over to see him cough, and clear again.
>"Greene?" Janet's voice carries some concern.
>Greene opens his mouth to speak but nothing comes out. Another cough.
>Janet looks over to me wide-eyed. Greene whips his head between the two of us, grabbing at his throat.
>I start to panic. Is he choking what do I-?
>"Quick do that thing for pteros, lift his head up and the neck thing. Yknow." I blink and think at what she's saying. That's what you're supposed to do when a saurian is choking but...
>She moves over to get behind him. Something in me rises up.
>"STOP!" she freezes in her tracks as I dive behind him. I suddenly remember something offhand I'd read about humans and human hybrids. Their throats are slightly different. It'd likely just lodge the thing deeper. Instead it has to come out.
>I plant my arms behind him and ball my fists. Sorry but this is gonna hurt. I lean him back and squeeze, hard. I pump my fist right up under his diaphragm.
