>"You two forgot your chores today." I smile and instruct my progeny to the kitchen, away from their double dates.
>"Mom we alread-"
>"Take out the kitchen trash." I put some authority in my voice.
>"But-"
>The mom glare hits them. Amber and Greene stiffen up and power walk into the kitchen. Good I've got a few moments with my two targets.
>How funny, Trish's kid and Jack's kid are dating mine. Fate has a funny way of screwing with you. I clear my throat and the two perk up.
>"So, you're the two suitors?"
>Sera and Jack look at each other, a bit spooked.
>"So, let me lay down some rules." I put on my parental authority again. I remember Anon asking me to go easy on them. He's not here right now. I channel dad.
>I grin, wide and grimacing, reminding them I'm a threat. Claws splayed and loudly tapping on the living room table. I hesitate a moment before speaking. I can see the fear settle in.
>"Hands to yourselves, curfew at nine and so help me if I get wind of a teen pregnancy." I place as much threat as I can muster into my gaze. It lands.
>"Are we clear?" A couple of shaky nods.
>I sigh. "Good. Don't let me catch you slipping up and we can stay on friendly terms." I hear my children returning.
>"Oh good job you two. Have fun on your dates!" I cheerily stand and pat my kids right on their heads. I lean down to whisper to them.
>"If I catch you doing anything I wouldn't approve of you're grounded until you move out." they both clam up and I finally let them go. I wave them off as they leave the house. I think for a second. I probably should have got the gun out, too. Ah well, lesson for next time.
