>"You two be good for miss Judee, okay?" Fa- er, Lucy is leaning down over the two little ptwins, one sucking a thumb and the other merely cocking their head up at their mother. They aren't even a full year old. I watch as the one with an orange scarf around her crest pulls her arms up to be picked up but is gently denied.
>Lucy stands up straight and walks over to me, Anon is fretting near the front door mirror with a tie.
>"Thank you for this, Judee. I know you're busy with your set design job. I bobble my head at her. I wouldn't call it busy by any means but she's being nice and I have no reason to interrupt.
>"Our numbers are in the kitchen, food's in the fridge if, er, WHEN they get hungry." She turns to her progeny.
>"Be nice you two." she scoops down to hug them tightly as they hug back. She stands and brushes her dress, a tight purple cocktail dress and turns away.
>"Alright let's go." Anon glances back
>"Yep yep. Thanks again, Judee!" he calls back as he steps to the door, opening it and letting Lucy out first. A quick wave back to me as the two step out. I hear the door lock click.
>I turn to the two little ones, two sets of bright eyes staring right up to me. Greene's the one with the green bandana around his neck and Amber's the one with the orange one on her crest. I move from the couch to sit in front of them. We just stare at each other.
>I've never taken care of kids but when I got the call I jumped at it. A bit embarrassing now that I look back at it. I look over the two as they return the favor, taking in my white speckled scales.
>Amber, seemingly the more adventurous of the two leans forward from her sitting position and makes pace for me. A small panic rises as she moves over to inspect me. She makes it to me and starts playing with my jeans. Right, they're babies not bombs. Just gotta keep them entertained.
